- 1:11Speaker 1: is gonna love this interview. She is a wine enthusiast,
- 1:15Speaker 1: she really is and found of l C S Entertainment
- 1:20Speaker 1: LLC that features Love Corkscrew Wine. Love Corkscrew Wine is
- 1:25Speaker 1: a lifestyle brand. Since its inception, the LCS brand has
- 1:30Speaker 1: acquired over fifty locations, including Mariano's, which is in Chicago.
- 1:34Speaker 1: One of my favorite grocery stores in Chicago is Mariano's,
- 1:40Speaker 1: Whole Foods, Target, and other Chicago Land area stores, restaurants,
- 1:44Speaker 1: and bars. Please work on the money making conversation for
- 1:47Speaker 1: Shawn Latly. Hello, we lost her after that great interview
- 1:59Speaker 1: I had to talk of you think she's somewhere drinking
- 2:02Speaker 1: this was she's been a wine enthusiasm because she's okay cool,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I'm here? Did did we just didn't press the wrighte
- 2:13Speaker 1: button for you, lamp? I think so, yes, I'm here
- 2:17Speaker 1: now because I just knew you know, you know, you're
- 2:20Speaker 1: in somewhere being a wine enthusiast. You know, well, how
- 2:27Speaker 1: are you doing, young lady. I'm doing great things all
- 2:30Speaker 1: the way from shy Town. I can't complain. How are
- 2:33Speaker 1: you say? Now? What is the temperature right now in Chicago? Okay,
- 2:38Speaker 1: so it's in the fifties now now mind you No,
- 2:41Speaker 1: I'm sorry, seventy two hours ago like snowed here. So
- 2:45Speaker 1: I'm enjoying this. That's why I have to let people
- 2:48Speaker 1: know about your car. I live in Chicago for years,
- 2:50Speaker 1: five years. I know Chicago, man, you I have clothes
- 2:55Speaker 1: that I will never wear any place else but Chicago,
- 2:58Speaker 1: because you better be ready. Sure that fabulous? Now you
- 3:02Speaker 1: know your boy come on that making a half million
- 3:05Speaker 1: and a half. So let's get back to you wind enthusia.
- 3:08Speaker 1: What does that mean when you said your wine enthusiasm?
- 3:12Speaker 1: So actually I'm a wine to Ghoston. So I am
- 3:15Speaker 1: a wine maker, so maker of wine. A ghost on
- 3:18Speaker 1: is another term meaning I don't actually crush the grapes myself.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I sourced them from different vineyards, doing this for years now,
- 3:27Speaker 1: six years in the game. A wine what's just that name?
- 3:31Speaker 1: That's a French term. So I buy certain wines, a
- 3:35Speaker 1: certain grapes, if you will, from different vineyards and I
- 3:38Speaker 1: actually create the formulas myself, so chemist, wine maker or
- 3:41Speaker 1: whatever you'd like to call it. But each formula is mine.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And I've been in the industry twenty years, but I've
- 3:46Speaker 1: owned my company six years and over fifties thousand bottles
- 3:49Speaker 1: sold and growing. Yes, I just didn't know what that meant.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I took it out, go ahead, and that was that
- 4:01Speaker 1: put it right back in that Chrishan Lampleys and Negotian
- 4:05Speaker 1: winding through right, it was right before wind and through.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I just took it out. I don't know what that
- 4:09Speaker 1: means winding and found up LSC Entertainment LLC that features
- 4:14Speaker 1: Love Corkscrew wines. That's how property though, because now I
- 4:16Speaker 1: know whether Negotian is Now let let's talk about let's
- 4:23Speaker 1: talk about this whole wine business. I I you know,
- 4:28Speaker 1: I had a couple of really uh interesting stories about
- 4:31Speaker 1: wine because wine is really big with NBA basketball players, yes, yes,
- 4:35Speaker 1: and athletes in general. Wine is associated with food, wine
- 4:39Speaker 1: is wine is associated with sexiness, Ryan is associated with romance. Uh.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Often times people who use the word wine and doesn't
- 4:47Speaker 1: sound like they'll get wine to there there children. Uh.
- 4:52Speaker 1: And so what makes wine across so many lines and
- 4:56Speaker 1: doesn't come across like Jack Daniels. What you Well, if
- 5:00Speaker 1: you don't get much, you can call the police. But
- 5:02Speaker 1: I can give my child a dinner. You have somebody
- 5:05Speaker 1: to dinner drinking Jack Daniel with the steak, somebody looking
- 5:08Speaker 1: at him? Is he an alcoholic? Is he drunk? What's
- 5:10Speaker 1: going on there? But you can have as a different field.
- 5:14Speaker 1: You're absolutely all right. Wine. I mean, Jesus, drink wine.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I mean, wine is something that goes back so so far,
- 5:19Speaker 1: and it's it's more of a feeling. It's not necessarily okay,
- 5:23Speaker 1: I'm drinking for an alcohol content. It's flavor um, just
- 5:27Speaker 1: like anything in a recipe in certain seasonings. So it
- 5:30Speaker 1: sets a tone, it sets an experience, it sets yes,
- 5:32Speaker 1: the sexiness. And there's so many intricacies to wine. Um,
- 5:36Speaker 1: it's not simple, uh, And there's so many flavor profiles
- 5:39Speaker 1: and so many different varietals and grapes and it takes
- 5:41Speaker 1: a long time. And not that's not discounting the spirit industry.
- 5:45Speaker 1: It's just saying wine can tend to be a little
- 5:48Speaker 1: more full as far as it's the array of types
- 5:51Speaker 1: and varietals that makes it so much more intricate, and
- 5:54Speaker 1: the very very difficult, complicated industry, but still beautiful at
- 5:58Speaker 1: the same time. And so what is what is what
- 6:01Speaker 1: is Love cork Screw What is that? So? Um I
- 6:05Speaker 1: started this company in two thousand thirteen, Love Cork Screw
- 6:09Speaker 1: Um Houses. I have six different varietals. Um again, I'm
- 6:12Speaker 1: gonna Gocianta winemaker. I launched six different varietals two thousand thirteen,
- 6:16Speaker 1: and I'm in the likes of Mariano's, Whole Foods, Target, Benny's,
- 6:19Speaker 1: just the name a few, and uh, I am a winemaker.
- 6:22Speaker 1: So Love Corkscrew kind of has the gamut of being
- 6:26Speaker 1: the six different arritals. Of course, I can't do everything.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I'm not going to be able to make the thousands
- 6:31Speaker 1: of varietals at different um you know, brands maybe to do,
- 6:34Speaker 1: but as a small batch wine, I can do six,
- 6:37Speaker 1: and more than likely you're gonna like one of the six.
- 6:40Speaker 1: And I make it very very easy for consumers. A
- 6:43Speaker 1: lot of people cannot pronounce Burdeaux, Kianti, Show, and Blanc.
- 6:46Speaker 1: So what they do is they buy Love Corkscrew based
- 6:49Speaker 1: off of the labels and what they like. Like for instance,
- 6:51Speaker 1: my cab is We're moving on up, my my pinot
- 6:55Speaker 1: grigio is good times, good friends. My reason is head
- 6:57Speaker 1: over heels. So you're able to call out a brand
- 6:59Speaker 1: off of the catch phrase a certain arrietal of my
- 7:01Speaker 1: catch phrases, which makes love quirks too so easy for
- 7:05Speaker 1: the consumer. And that's what I wanted to do, and
- 7:07Speaker 1: I think I've done that. Well. It's called marketing. And
- 7:10Speaker 1: so you sat down and and and they said, look,
- 7:13Speaker 1: uh so who's your brand? Who is your brand appealing to? What?
- 7:16Speaker 1: What age? Is an age group or is it? Is
- 7:19Speaker 1: it a general market? What is it? Because you're not
- 7:21Speaker 1: in because you're in Marianna, I know exactly what Mariannod says.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Whole foods a very selective audience target and those are
- 7:28Speaker 1: very selective audiences which are really really will appeal towards wine.
- 7:33Speaker 1: You're on this shelf. How do you because I've been
- 7:36Speaker 1: in these stores and that's competition, how do you break
- 7:39Speaker 1: the roll of competition? You know, it's very difficult. And
- 7:42Speaker 1: I will say definitely I fit the general market. Um
- 7:45Speaker 1: as an African American wine maker, of course, I'm an
- 7:47Speaker 1: appeal to a lot of the African American market, but
- 7:50Speaker 1: it's not just specific to that. My labels are so
- 7:52Speaker 1: appealing to everyone just because they're so colorful. So definitely
- 7:55Speaker 1: general market, but wine drinkers, I would say that I'm
- 7:58Speaker 1: really veering towards are forty four, you know, the the
- 8:04Speaker 1: young professional. But oh my gosh, some of the high
- 8:07Speaker 1: end wine somalities in their fifties and sixties love my
- 8:11Speaker 1: wine as well because they enjoy a little bit of everything.
- 8:14Speaker 1: So yes, it's very difficult to stay on the shelves.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I'm fighting NonStop just for the small amount of shelf
- 8:20Speaker 1: space I have. But I think love quirks who appeal
- 8:22Speaker 1: is just off as an attraction because the number one
- 8:24Speaker 1: reason why people buy wine off the shelf are the labels,
- 8:28Speaker 1: Number two the price, and number three of the taste. Um,
- 8:31Speaker 1: so I'm hitting all three. Uh, And I think love
- 8:33Speaker 1: querksy is very fun, exciting and appealing to everyone. Now
- 8:37Speaker 1: now you're you're you're the expert. So we're sitting down.
- 8:41Speaker 1: So there's certain wine that you drink with certain food. Correct, Yes, yes, okay,
- 8:46Speaker 1: it's very important. I've watched my wife, you know, sit
- 8:48Speaker 1: over there and she goes to read or white and
- 8:52Speaker 1: you know, give me eliminate as me limonate water. So
- 9:00Speaker 1: so I mean the steak. What what you know? And
- 9:04Speaker 1: we're talking only your lines. You have six different lines.
- 9:07Speaker 1: What would I do with a steak or what what? What?
- 9:11Speaker 1: What brand or what selection would I use for a steak?
- 9:14Speaker 1: That would be my cabinet san Yan, which is we're
- 9:16Speaker 1: moving on up, So the easiest rate way. I always
- 9:19Speaker 1: tell a lot of the people that I teach about
- 9:22Speaker 1: wines um and educate about wines just seriously think of
- 9:26Speaker 1: it as the seasoning. So if you have a good
- 9:28Speaker 1: steak in your home, marinating your steak, what do you
- 9:30Speaker 1: normally marinate you're steaking, what do you normally dress your
- 9:32Speaker 1: steak in, Whether it's the bosomic vinegrette, whether it's pepper um,
- 9:36Speaker 1: you know, different deep, muddy things that you would make
- 9:40Speaker 1: around a steak. So that that's what makes sense to
- 9:44Speaker 1: a muddy, deep peppery wine, which would be my cabin
- 9:47Speaker 1: at san Yan. And I use another great example of
- 9:50Speaker 1: the opposite. Let's say you're at a steakhouse. You're at
- 9:52Speaker 1: the best steakhouse in the country. You have your steak,
- 9:55Speaker 1: and I like my steak walking right, I like my
- 9:57Speaker 1: medium rare, and I say to the wait, you know what,
- 10:00Speaker 1: can I have a cup of sugar, and I take
- 10:02Speaker 1: a cup of sugar, and I take a spoon and
- 10:04Speaker 1: I put it on top of the steak. Does that
- 10:05Speaker 1: sound good? No? So why would you drink a sweet
- 10:09Speaker 1: wine with your steak? So it's literally just thinking of
- 10:12Speaker 1: what makes sense. Butter fish, oh, chardonnay, which is normally buttery.
- 10:18Speaker 1: So it's just that simple. Okay, let's say that one
- 10:21Speaker 1: more time. That was really smart information. So now, because
- 10:25Speaker 1: I want to impress my wife next time I go
- 10:26Speaker 1: out and just go and did you just say something like,
- 10:29Speaker 1: you know, babe, listen to me, this is buttery. To
- 10:35Speaker 1: go down that little that little, that little description in
- 10:37Speaker 1: your head because I was really smooth. That was some
- 10:38Speaker 1: good information. I'm trying to get my swag back in
- 10:41Speaker 1: the way in the wine game that's never had it.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I trying to do not everyone listening judge it off
- 10:48Speaker 1: of the seasoning or off of the taste profile. It'll
- 10:52Speaker 1: be listed on the on the menu, it will be
- 10:54Speaker 1: on the back of the bottle. You pair your food
- 10:58Speaker 1: with the ingredients on the wine bottle. That makes sense.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Peppery fills make anything deep muddy steak goes with Cabernet's
- 11:07Speaker 1: Home y'all burdeaux and Chianti, your deeper muddy wines, something
- 11:12Speaker 1: that's buttery. Let's say you have some great dover soul
- 11:15Speaker 1: or or hall of It or something normally that's what
- 11:19Speaker 1: more olive oils and butters, butteries, a chardonnay, chardony, it'll
- 11:23Speaker 1: say it on the menu, it'll say buttery shards, it'll
- 11:27Speaker 1: say it's an OK. It'll give you all the answers
- 11:30Speaker 1: that are right in front of your eyes. Don't be
- 11:32Speaker 1: scared of them. Well, I'm not afraid now I'm stepping
- 11:36Speaker 1: out because I think that the reason I wanted to
- 11:40Speaker 1: bring you on the show, because we all know the word.
- 11:43Speaker 1: We know about wines, and like you said, you know
- 11:46Speaker 1: people stomping wines and and and these different scenarios about wine.
- 11:50Speaker 1: But there is a there's a lifestyle, there is a
- 11:54Speaker 1: method to the madness of why you should be drinking wine.
- 11:57Speaker 1: So so we're just so interesting and unique about your
- 12:00Speaker 1: product in your business then as well, first and foremost
- 12:04Speaker 1: with just being in this industry, understands there's a hundred
- 12:08Speaker 1: and thirty billion dollar industry and me being in this
- 12:12Speaker 1: industry as an African American woman, especially within the realm
- 12:15Speaker 1: of a winemaker, negotiation or vineyard owner. There's literally only
- 12:19Speaker 1: sixty of US African American women, sixty out of a
- 12:23Speaker 1: hundred and eleven thousand in the world that do this,
- 12:27Speaker 1: that are documented, that have wines out there for purchase.
- 12:30Speaker 1: So I definitely sit in that unicorm realm. That's number one. Secondly, again,
- 12:36Speaker 1: I want Love corks Trow to be nonintimidating. The wine
- 12:40Speaker 1: world can be so so intimidating the people and and
- 12:43Speaker 1: you walk down the aisland, all you see is scrolling
- 12:45Speaker 1: and French and New Zealand and Australian and you have
- 12:48Speaker 1: no idea what to do. I'm saying, I'm just as
- 12:51Speaker 1: much as a wine expert as some of these other people,
- 12:53Speaker 1: but I'm going to make it easy for you, because
- 12:55Speaker 1: why should you be intimidated by by wine? And love
- 12:59Speaker 1: Quarks through label killed the game, and to the point
- 13:02Speaker 1: that my competitors are actually starting to copy my label,
- 13:05Speaker 1: So that says that I know, I'm definitely different and
- 13:08Speaker 1: sitting in around and I'm enjoying every second of this.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Well it's good, that's you know. What's just say copying
- 13:13Speaker 1: is a compliment, but it also can make you mad
- 13:16Speaker 1: and uh so right now you're kind of happy but
- 13:18Speaker 1: made Yeah you figured out, make you work harder now. Also,
- 13:22Speaker 1: I got to compliment you on your look because it's
- 13:24Speaker 1: always as neat you know what the mirror looks like
- 13:28Speaker 1: in your house, because you'd be like Frank, tight on
- 13:32Speaker 1: that good. We're gonna be back with more. I got
- 13:37Speaker 1: to make sure I look good and you look good,
- 13:38Speaker 1: look fantastic. Will be back more. I want to talk
- 13:40Speaker 1: to about the more challenges in the business. Uh with
- 13:43Speaker 1: the businesses. Ms Roshan lat Hi just Roshan McDonald and
- 13:50Speaker 1: you're listening to money making conversations. She's back on the phone.
- 13:54Speaker 1: She's a negotiate, negotiate, negotion even to go see on
- 14:03Speaker 1: I know, first of all, you know you're on my show.
- 14:05Speaker 1: You wanted to be on my show, and I appreciate
- 14:07Speaker 1: that and I respect that because I'm trying to open
- 14:10Speaker 1: this show up to know that I want to post
- 14:13Speaker 1: your product on my social media. And I'm also uh
- 14:17Speaker 1: confirming it that my wife is the wine and thus
- 14:20Speaker 1: this because you know, a lot of people know that
- 14:21Speaker 1: I don't drink, so I have to validate why do
- 14:24Speaker 1: I have a person on the show. First of all,
- 14:26Speaker 1: your then entrepreneur. Second, your female and you're in a
- 14:29Speaker 1: very competitive business. You already said, well you list as
- 14:32Speaker 1: far as uh, the number of female who involved in
- 14:36Speaker 1: this wine business that do what you do. So LSC
- 14:41Speaker 1: interchangement LLC, which is then LLC this is called stands
- 14:44Speaker 1: for LSC stands for LC. Excuse me, LCS stands for
- 14:48Speaker 1: a Love Love cork screw. And we're talking about that
- 14:51Speaker 1: brand is suddenly being copied on the stands because people
- 14:54Speaker 1: are seeing you move your product. And when I said
- 14:57Speaker 1: move your product, You're based in the Chicago area in
- 15:00Speaker 1: very popular stores like Target, Mariano's, Whole Foods, and other
- 15:06Speaker 1: Chicago land stores. And I when I look at starting
- 15:09Speaker 1: to expand your brand, I hear things like Total Wine
- 15:12Speaker 1: is that part of your eventual uh just distribution culture. Yes,
- 15:17Speaker 1: Total Wine of course being well known definitely in the
- 15:20Speaker 1: West Coast um as being one of the largest. So
- 15:23Speaker 1: the issue is liquor laws of course, so now licensed
- 15:27Speaker 1: as an importer exporter, which is a great thing, meaning
- 15:29Speaker 1: which means I can force wine from South Africa if
- 15:32Speaker 1: I wanted to, I can import and export around the world. Um,
- 15:35Speaker 1: but there's also distribution chain. So right now I can
- 15:39Speaker 1: ship anywhere in the country, ship via my website, my
- 15:42Speaker 1: wine club membership, and if anyone wants to just purchase bottles,
- 15:46Speaker 1: I can shift easily anywhere in the country. But what
- 15:49Speaker 1: I can't do is just yet is distribute everywhere in
- 15:52Speaker 1: the country. It has to be a three tier system,
- 15:54Speaker 1: so I have to go through a distributor. So right now,
- 15:57Speaker 1: that is why I'm on shell in the Illinois actually
- 16:01Speaker 1: in the whole state of Illinois. Um, I just got
- 16:03Speaker 1: a great distributor. I upgraded my distributor, so I'm able
- 16:06Speaker 1: to be in stores here. But so my point is
- 16:08Speaker 1: total wines. I'm not quite there yet. Hopefully a large
- 16:12Speaker 1: distributor will pick me up that is in more states.
- 16:16Speaker 1: So that's the key. Um, I can't just sell direct
- 16:20Speaker 1: to some of these amazing large retailers. There's such the
- 16:23Speaker 1: law that it's very difficult. So I'm giving there. Um
- 16:26Speaker 1: just being in these huge, big box stores that I'm
- 16:29Speaker 1: in now in Illinois, improving that Love Quirkscrew sells, Improving
- 16:32Speaker 1: that Love Corkscrew is demanded around the entire country. Because
- 16:36Speaker 1: I ship every day, I'm shipping to people. Hopefully a
- 16:40Speaker 1: large subtill see me and I can get into total wine. Well,
- 16:43Speaker 1: the thing about it is that that's the purpose of
- 16:45Speaker 1: Money Making Conversation to bring exposure to up and comming
- 16:48Speaker 1: entrepreneurs and also to allow them to have a platform
- 16:51Speaker 1: to know that if you want to come back on
- 16:53Speaker 1: the show and the futures, just contact us or we
- 16:55Speaker 1: may contact you because we feel a need to be
- 16:58Speaker 1: able to create a relationship and don't feel like we're
- 17:01Speaker 1: just using your talents just to give me a tool
- 17:04Speaker 1: to talk to an individual talk to on this particular episode.
- 17:07Speaker 1: We respect entrepreneurs and we know that this don't have
- 17:10Speaker 1: a voice. Now. Well, I was just making that statement
- 17:13Speaker 1: by told Wine. It was not in the light or anything.
- 17:17Speaker 1: And we're just letting everybody know that these are the
- 17:18Speaker 1: steps and I like more information that I asked these
- 17:21Speaker 1: questions so you can tell us. And because a lot
- 17:24Speaker 1: of people want to do these businesses, they want to
- 17:26Speaker 1: open these they want to jump out there and realize
- 17:28Speaker 1: that there are restrictions no matter what. Yes, there's so
- 17:32Speaker 1: many there's so much money involved. I tell young entrepreneurs
- 17:36Speaker 1: all the time, um that whatever you think something's gonna
- 17:39Speaker 1: cost to open a business, times that buy three because
- 17:42Speaker 1: there will always the issues. There always the laws, there
- 17:44Speaker 1: are always be licenses, There's going to be so many
- 17:46Speaker 1: things that you don't know come. So don't try to
- 17:48Speaker 1: just jump into something without researching and knowing what's involved. Now,
- 17:53Speaker 1: on the flip side, don't just NonStop research and you
- 17:55Speaker 1: never do it, because then that's an excuse to not
- 17:58Speaker 1: jump and go for it. But at the same time, no,
- 18:00Speaker 1: there's more involved. There's people that come to me all
- 18:03Speaker 1: the time and say, Krishan, I want my own wine.
- 18:05Speaker 1: And I say, okay, well have you worked in the business.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Do you know anything about this business? Because it's not
- 18:09Speaker 1: sexy as it looks. It's not me just going around
- 18:11Speaker 1: drinking wine all day. There's so much I have to
- 18:15Speaker 1: do to stay legal, to stay legit, stay moving. It's
- 18:19Speaker 1: not just a cash cow. You gotta love what you
- 18:21Speaker 1: do and I preach that all the time. But you're
- 18:23Speaker 1: in the mail dominant industry. Attractive young lady, how do
- 18:28Speaker 1: you balize that you know that in this business you
- 18:31Speaker 1: have to be honest about what you're walking into. I'm
- 18:34Speaker 1: in Hollywood. I know it's entertainment and certain people just
- 18:37Speaker 1: can assume that you don't know your skill just just
- 18:41Speaker 1: selling it because guess what, you're attractive. How do you
- 18:44Speaker 1: make sure you maintain the integrity and the respect of
- 18:47Speaker 1: what you're accomplishing tied to what you want to do?
- 18:51Speaker 1: You know what. I've been shot down and and and
- 18:53Speaker 1: destroyed so many times. They say, like, you get broke
- 18:56Speaker 1: down so much that it builds you up to the
- 18:58Speaker 1: point that when I'm walking into a room um with, yes,
- 19:02Speaker 1: they're going to be all males. Most of the time,
- 19:04Speaker 1: anybody I'm dealing with are all and they're all white males.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I've learned that I don't have to I don't have
- 19:11Speaker 1: to yell. I don't have to holler, I don't have
- 19:13Speaker 1: to say, well, I own it and this is mine.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Sometimes if you just sit back and listen, take things in,
- 19:18Speaker 1: because there's always something to learn. A lot of time,
- 19:22Speaker 1: silence will speak so much. And by the end of
- 19:25Speaker 1: some of the meetings that I have, whether it's Chamber
- 19:27Speaker 1: of Commerce meetings whereas vineyard owners where I'm going to
- 19:29Speaker 1: Healsburg and NAPA and I sit back and by the
- 19:31Speaker 1: end of the meeting, usually the guys look at me.
- 19:34Speaker 1: They're like, wait a minute, you own this company, don't
- 19:36Speaker 1: you you're not just a spokesman, You're not just the
- 19:39Speaker 1: face of the brand. And I'm like, yeah, you're absolutely,
- 19:42Speaker 1: I do. My name's on it. So sometimes, you know,
- 19:44Speaker 1: it's one of those things where I've I've been in
- 19:46Speaker 1: those predicaments so much. Um, whether they're not taking seriously, um,
- 19:51Speaker 1: whether it it be they're just like, there's no way
- 19:53Speaker 1: this black woman owns this. There's no way. She's too young,
- 19:56Speaker 1: or she's too cute, there's no way she owns this.
- 19:58Speaker 1: I actually just kind of take it in, sit back, relax,
- 20:01Speaker 1: taking what I need to learn to grow. I don't
- 20:04Speaker 1: you don't have to hear me yell. And the reason
- 20:05Speaker 1: my voice is strong enough, my smile yells enough. So
- 20:09Speaker 1: you said something about you have a uh uh, you
- 20:13Speaker 1: do monthly subscriptions to get your wine as a fan
- 20:16Speaker 1: club type of set up. Can you explain that to everybody?
- 20:19Speaker 1: And how those other wines automatically sent to you or
- 20:23Speaker 1: you can make this pre pre selectilize the wine that
- 20:26Speaker 1: you want sent to you. How does that work? Yes? Please?
- 20:29Speaker 1: The wine industry, like I said, it's so large, and
- 20:30Speaker 1: there's wine club memberships. A lot of people don't know
- 20:33Speaker 1: how wine clubs works up for people that you know
- 20:35Speaker 1: frequent NAPA and things like that. But yes, I can
- 20:38Speaker 1: legally ship my wine directly to your doorstuff via ups.
- 20:42Speaker 1: So if anyone goes on love corkscrew dot com, I
- 20:45Speaker 1: would love to ship wine to you. I've shipped wine,
- 20:48Speaker 1: like I said, everywhere. I have huge fans between Atlanta
- 20:51Speaker 1: and California and d c um so I have a
- 20:54Speaker 1: quarterly wine club membership, which not only do I send
- 20:57Speaker 1: the wine to you, but I send my wine sentive candle,
- 21:00Speaker 1: I send body butter, I send cookbooks. So you don't
- 21:02Speaker 1: necessarily have to be a drinker um to get some great,
- 21:05Speaker 1: great gifts from love quirk screw. But in addition to that,
- 21:08Speaker 1: let's say you're not ready for a membership. Some people
- 21:10Speaker 1: don't want to commit to subscriptions by all means, just
- 21:14Speaker 1: go to love dot com and I can send you
- 21:16Speaker 1: anything you want. It's very easy, and you'll be supporting
- 21:19Speaker 1: a small business and you'll get the word out to
- 21:22Speaker 1: help this young woman kill the game and wine. So
- 21:25Speaker 1: love corks dot com and hey, like I said, I've
- 21:27Speaker 1: shipped over fifty thousand bottles, I'm ready to ship fifty
- 21:30Speaker 1: thou more. Well, you're a member of Delta Sigma Data.
- 21:33Speaker 1: So that's called networking and I'm remember megas I find
- 21:41Speaker 1: and so so how did does does like? You know?
- 21:44Speaker 1: We have these conventions, we have the district meetings. Do
- 21:46Speaker 1: you do you participate with your product there? They're trying
- 21:49Speaker 1: to market your product within your within the terrority. Yes, so, um,
- 21:53Speaker 1: of course I'm a member at large. So I am financial,
- 21:56Speaker 1: which is a great thing. I've been a member since
- 21:58Speaker 1: nine eight to what dron Illinois University, and I have
- 22:02Speaker 1: deeply emerged. I love her. Yes, yes, so I have
- 22:07Speaker 1: been able to work with so many different chapters from
- 22:10Speaker 1: the Chicago alumni and I do wine tasting and paint
- 22:13Speaker 1: parties and all types of things. But of course, you
- 22:14Speaker 1: know within nonprofit organizations it can be very difficult as
- 22:18Speaker 1: far as wine is concerned, um, as far as you know,
- 22:21Speaker 1: being able to promote it per se. But sore Wars
- 22:24Speaker 1: have been great to me, um, and I'm definitely able
- 22:27Speaker 1: to go to from conventions. I know New Orleans is
- 22:30Speaker 1: coming up for a productives in the data and there's
- 22:32Speaker 1: so many great other things up frat. You guys have
- 22:35Speaker 1: been great to me by having wine tastings and different things.
- 22:38Speaker 1: So I'm able to maneuver within the you know, the
- 22:41Speaker 1: functions if you will, whether the parties and galas Um
- 22:45Speaker 1: and they are huge supporters of Love Corkscrew and and
- 22:48Speaker 1: again for any dst fra at anybody out there in
- 22:51Speaker 1: the Divine nine, by all means, hey, reach out to
- 22:53Speaker 1: me and I'll come to you. Well, I bring it
- 22:56Speaker 1: up because that's part of the process. That's one of
- 22:59Speaker 1: the things I've been going to teach you with all
- 23:00Speaker 1: these fraternities and sororities and start start showing their financial
- 23:05Speaker 1: buying power. Because if we start doing that and start
- 23:08Speaker 1: thinking that that approach about okay, that the there's the
- 23:11Speaker 1: financial buying power and delta sigma, theta sigma, gamma, row
- 23:16Speaker 1: a k a, you know, we have to make a
- 23:19Speaker 1: sci fire kappa you know, sigmas, and we got to
- 23:22Speaker 1: start doing that. When we start doing that, then we
- 23:25Speaker 1: should support internally our members who are financials and we're
- 23:34Speaker 1: just know that's a mission of mine because i gotta
- 23:37Speaker 1: start having these organizations think like a business and start
- 23:41Speaker 1: if you think like a business, you knows, not saying
- 23:44Speaker 1: they're not. So I don't want nobody get mad at me.
- 23:46Speaker 1: I'm just saying but from a from the approach that
- 23:48Speaker 1: I'm talking about is that you know we we we
- 23:51Speaker 1: were brought up, the founded and the in eighteen eleven,
- 23:55Speaker 1: eight fourteen, fifteen different years. And so with that being said,
- 24:00Speaker 1: I just want to make sure you understand that you
- 24:01Speaker 1: have my support, but I want to give it before
- 24:04Speaker 1: you go. If you give some advice to any entrepreneur
- 24:06Speaker 1: out there about getting started, it's some of the overcoming
- 24:10Speaker 1: the odds. My greatest advice that I've used, and I've
- 24:14Speaker 1: used this for years and I've had people come to
- 24:17Speaker 1: me years later and tell me that they understood what
- 24:19Speaker 1: I'm saying. I always say, your passion follows you. You
- 24:23Speaker 1: cannot follow your passion. What does that mean? You can
- 24:26Speaker 1: be passionate about being basketball and you suck. You can
- 24:29Speaker 1: be passionate about baking and do pound make pound cakes
- 24:32Speaker 1: and they're disgusting. You'll be passionate about singing your tone
- 24:35Speaker 1: death doesn't mean you're not passionate about it. But where
- 24:38Speaker 1: your passion follows you is something that you're so great
- 24:42Speaker 1: at every single day and you don't even pay attention
- 24:45Speaker 1: to it. It's something that's completely in you, and that's
- 24:48Speaker 1: innate that you don't know that. People NonStop come to
- 24:51Speaker 1: you ask me to do that thing, or asking you
- 24:54Speaker 1: for advice for that. Sometimes if you actually listen, you
- 24:59Speaker 1: realize that that is what you're meant to do and
- 25:03Speaker 1: it's right there. Stop forcing yourself about something you think
- 25:07Speaker 1: is right. It's right. I just want to get your
- 25:12Speaker 1: out to you. My wife went on your site, I
- 25:15Speaker 1: love cook screw site and have the five wine pack
- 25:18Speaker 1: in a shopping call. You're both fads now keep winning. Okay,
- 25:32Speaker 1: thank you Sean, thank you Fred, thanks for having me.
