- 2:14Speaker 5: oh man, what a journey it has been. I thank
- 2:17Speaker 5: God for every single step of the way.
- 2:19Speaker 6: I learned to thank him for the bad times too,
- 2:22Speaker 6: because it taught me something. All the bad times, all
- 2:26Speaker 6: the failures, they became valuable experiences in my life. Every
- 2:30Speaker 6: time I failed, I learned a little bit more about
- 2:32Speaker 6: getting up. Every time I was told no, it moved
- 2:35Speaker 6: me one step closer to yes. It made me stronger,
- 2:39Speaker 6: It toughened my skin. It made me learn how to
- 2:41Speaker 6: deal with haters. It made me learn how to deal
- 2:44Speaker 6: with people who don't have your best interest at heart. Man.
- 2:48Speaker 6: Ain't y'all all out there feeling me on this one
- 2:50Speaker 6: right here. It teaches you who is who in your life.
- 2:54Speaker 6: It shows you who you can depend on and who
- 2:57Speaker 6: you can And at the end of the day, what
- 2:59Speaker 6: is taught me most of all my hardships in my life,
- 3:02Speaker 6: And it's really about me and God. That is the
- 3:06Speaker 6: one factor that has been never changed in my life.
- 3:11Speaker 6: God has always been the same for me and for
- 3:14Speaker 6: you and for all of us. His word is true.
- 3:18Speaker 6: It don't waiver, it, don't shake you shape it. Readjust
- 3:22Speaker 6: it if you want to. It is really the way
- 3:24Speaker 6: it's written. It really is. You have your version of
- 3:27Speaker 6: it if you want to. But if you just read
- 3:29Speaker 6: it the way it is, it's real clear. Ain't no
- 3:32Speaker 6: loopholes in it. Every time you jump through a loophole,
- 3:35Speaker 6: there's something over there written that that counters that.
- 3:38Speaker 1: So is what I want to get to today. Listen
- 3:42Speaker 1: to me.
- 3:42Speaker 6: You got it within you, Oh it's there, Just use it.
- 3:49Speaker 6: Listen to me close. You got it within you. Oh
- 3:52Speaker 6: it's there, Just use it. If you hear me clearly,
- 3:57Speaker 6: I'm really finn to show you something this morning. You've
- 4:00Speaker 6: got it within you. Oh it's now just use it, Steve,
- 4:04Speaker 6: what you're talking about. See, here's what's wrong with a
- 4:08Speaker 6: lot of people. Here's what's stopping so many people. You
- 4:13Speaker 6: keep looking. We keep looking for others to save us.
- 4:19Speaker 6: We keep looking for someone else to rescue us. We
- 4:23Speaker 6: always looking for some group of people or somebody to
- 4:27Speaker 6: accept us. We keep looking for someone else's approval. We
- 4:33Speaker 6: always looking for some group or somebody to deliver us, somebody,
- 4:38Speaker 6: some group of people to give us credibility, somebody or
- 4:44Speaker 6: some group of people who says we matter.
- 4:48Speaker 1: We spend so much time right there, and when.
- 4:51Speaker 6: The cavalry don't come over the hill, when they ain't
- 4:54Speaker 6: no saving, it ain't no deliverance, And hey, you don't
- 4:57Speaker 6: get accepted. And then don't nobody really come I'm to
- 5:00Speaker 6: save you, And there't nobody vouching for you and giving
- 5:03Speaker 6: you credibility. It throw you into something, naw, you into
- 5:06Speaker 6: this little state of man. I don't know what I'm
- 5:08Speaker 6: gonna do. Oh you got it within you, Oh it's there.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Just use it. You want to know what the real
- 5:15Speaker 1: deal is, y'all? It's you and God, and it's the
- 5:20Speaker 1: God in you.
- 5:23Speaker 7: Man.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I wish I could explain this right to you today.
- 5:26Speaker 6: I want you to fill me on this right here,
- 5:29Speaker 6: and when you shake everything out the way, get rid
- 5:32Speaker 6: of all your expectations of people. The relationship you thought
- 5:36Speaker 6: was gonna last forever that didn't make it, the child
- 5:38Speaker 6: that you wanted to be, this that turned out to
- 5:40Speaker 6: be that, your friend you thought was your friend, that
- 5:43Speaker 6: stabbed you in the back.
- 5:44Speaker 1: You found out they wouldn't.
- 5:46Speaker 6: The job you thought was gonna keep you and you'd
- 5:48Speaker 6: retire home, they done closed down, gave you a pink
- 5:50Speaker 6: snip all of this. Man that promised that somebody told
- 5:54Speaker 6: you they was gonna loan you this money, and on
- 5:56Speaker 6: loan day they say they ain't got it. Oh man,
- 5:59Speaker 6: oh man, man, this money you thought was gonna come
- 6:02Speaker 6: through on.
- 6:02Speaker 1: This check, The check ain't there? Oh man?
- 6:05Speaker 6: How many disappointments in life can you get? You thought
- 6:08Speaker 6: you had enough credit. I was to graduate. You found
- 6:11Speaker 6: out two weeks before you didn't. You can't graduate. Oh
- 6:14Speaker 6: listen here, man, what's gonna happen? Man, look at the
- 6:16Speaker 6: disappointment in my life right now. But let me explain
- 6:20Speaker 6: something to you. When you get rid of all of that,
- 6:24Speaker 6: guess what you really got? You got God, that's the
- 6:27Speaker 6: whole anchilada. Baby, that's the ball of wax, that's the
- 6:30Speaker 6: monkeys in the barrel, that's the bag of chips.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Listen to me.
- 6:33Speaker 6: If you got God, do you understand that that's sufficient?
- 6:38Speaker 8: Now?
- 6:38Speaker 1: That say all you need? Can you feel me? Now?
- 6:41Speaker 6: You and God and the God in you, it's really
- 6:46Speaker 6: what you need. Stop looking for all these outside sources
- 6:50Speaker 6: for approval, to gain acceptance, to get credibility, somebody to
- 6:55Speaker 6: save you. The calvari coming over the hill. Why won't
- 6:57Speaker 6: they recognize me? Why won't they give me clothure? Why
- 7:01Speaker 6: they fire me? Why they folk closing.
- 7:04Speaker 9: On my house?
- 7:04Speaker 1: Don't they know I'm laid off.
- 7:06Speaker 6: When you get through it, all of that whining, it's
- 7:09Speaker 6: gonna come down to you and God and the God
- 7:13Speaker 6: in you. If God created man in his own image,
- 7:18Speaker 6: God is a part of you, that is a piece
- 7:20Speaker 6: of you that's godly.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I don't care who you are. I don't care what
- 7:24Speaker 1: mistake you made.
- 7:26Speaker 6: The murderer that's sitting in jail today because of a
- 7:30Speaker 6: moment in his life that he's now paying for, has
- 7:33Speaker 6: God in you?
- 7:35Speaker 1: The biggest criminal When he.
- 7:37Speaker 6: Gets through criminalizing or whatever you want to call it,
- 7:40Speaker 6: he's sitting there by his self, that is a piece
- 7:43Speaker 6: of God in him that lets him know thise ain't
- 7:47Speaker 6: the way.
- 7:47Speaker 1: It's wrong. You can love his money if you want
- 7:50Speaker 1: to put you out of line, and you gonna pay.
- 7:52Speaker 6: At the end of the day, when I get through
- 7:54Speaker 6: on this microphone, on this TV, all these articles, when
- 7:58Speaker 6: I get through it, all of that, you know what
- 8:00Speaker 6: come down to. Because see, it ain't always been this
- 8:02Speaker 6: way for me. Yeah, I've been trying to get here,
- 8:05Speaker 6: trying to get that.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Listen to me. It's been me and God, and it's
- 8:09Speaker 1: been the God in me.
- 8:11Speaker 6: When I woke up a few years back and I
- 8:13Speaker 6: realized that's really what it was, it changed my whole life.
- 8:18Speaker 1: It changed my whole life.
- 8:20Speaker 6: Your whole life can get changed when you realize that
- 8:23Speaker 6: it's really you and God and the God in you.
- 8:26Speaker 6: Really man, People disappoint you, You argue with people, You
- 8:29Speaker 6: fall out with people, You break up with people, You
- 8:31Speaker 6: divorce people. You got people who you thought was free
- 8:34Speaker 6: as all of a sudden you find out they talking about.
- 8:36Speaker 1: It's crazy how it is you been going what's going on?
- 8:39Speaker 1: What's really going on? But that's because guess what you
- 8:44Speaker 1: got all yours.
- 8:44Speaker 6: Banked on them when you going bank it on the
- 8:47Speaker 6: one thing that you can count on.
- 8:49Speaker 1: God's word ain't changed since we got here. It's solid.

- 8:56Speaker 6: whatever you ask for. That's the fact that ain't no
- 8:59Speaker 6: rumor speaking out here doing it every day. Now, if

- 9:04Speaker 6: within you. Oh it's there.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You just got to use it.
- 9:08Speaker 6: There is a weapon available to man called prayer.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Use that.
- 9:13Speaker 3: See.
- 9:13Speaker 6: I look at my life, man, whenever I get a

- 37:39Speaker 11: Yesterday, during a House Oversight Committee hearing about the dismantling
- 37:43Speaker 11: the DEEI Act, which seeks to weaken diversity, equity and
- 37:47Speaker 11: Inclusion initiatives, Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett responded to white
- 37:53Speaker 11: male Republican Clay Higgins championing the bill as a strong
- 37:58Speaker 11: response to the oppression of our rights, liberties, and freedoms.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Take a listen to this.
- 38:03Speaker 13: It's like oppression.
- 38:04Speaker 17: There has been no oppression for the white man in
- 38:07Speaker 17: this country. You'll tell me which white men were dragged
- 38:11Speaker 17: out of their homes.
- 38:12Speaker 4: You will tell me which one of them.
- 38:15Speaker 17: Got dragged all the way across an ocean and told
- 38:19Speaker 17: that you are gonna go at work.
- 38:20Speaker 4: We are gonna seal your wives, We are gonna rape
- 38:23Speaker 4: your wives. That didn't happen. That is oppression. We didn't
- 38:27Speaker 4: ask to be here.
- 38:28Speaker 17: We're not the same migrants did y'all constantly come up against.
- 38:33Speaker 4: We didn't run away from home.
- 38:35Speaker 1: We were stolen.
- 38:36Speaker 17: So yeah, we are gonna sit here and be offended
- 38:39Speaker 17: when you want to sit here and act like and
- 38:41Speaker 17: don't let it escape you that it is white men
- 38:45Speaker 17: on this side of the aisle telling us people of
- 38:48Speaker 17: color on this side of the aisle, that y'all are
- 38:51Speaker 17: the ones being oppressed, that y'all are the ones that
- 38:54Speaker 17: are being harmed.
- 38:56Speaker 4: That's not the definition of oppression.
- 38:59Speaker 9: Who all right, okay.
- 39:04Speaker 11: Representative Crockett went on to say, in part quote, we
- 39:07Speaker 11: need to recognize that racism is real in this country,
- 39:11Speaker 11: and until we stop pretending that it's not, we will
- 39:14Speaker 11: not solve the problems that we are consistently facing.
- 39:17Speaker 9: Amen.
- 39:18Speaker 10: I love the way she speaks up, man. I love
- 39:20Speaker 10: the way that she is not scared, she is fearless.
- 39:23Speaker 10: He comes out and says exactly what's on her mind,
- 39:25Speaker 10: and she and there's nothing. I have not heard her
- 39:28Speaker 10: not tell the truth the entire time, right on points,
- 39:32Speaker 10: right on point.
- 39:34Speaker 1: To hear her. They need to see her, and they
- 39:36Speaker 1: need to hear her.
- 39:37Speaker 16: They really do what white man been on pressure, what
- 39:41Speaker 16: tired is struggling, what Trevor.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Is having a problem.
- 39:51Speaker 3: Yes, when she talked about Marjorie Taylor.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Green another very woman. I mean, and I.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Think too, until this country, until we address and like
- 40:00Speaker 3: she said, talk about racism and talk about white supremacy. See,
- 40:03Speaker 3: these are uncomfortable we conversations that people don't want to have.
- 40:07Speaker 11: So well that's what we gotta have, no we and
- 40:11Speaker 11: every generation says that it never happens, and every generation
- 40:15Speaker 11: we get further and further away from the truth, the
- 40:18Speaker 11: real truth.
- 40:19Speaker 13: It just had.
- 40:19Speaker 11: They keep sweeping it under the drug. They don't want
- 40:21Speaker 11: to talk about it, they don't know what they want.
- 40:24Speaker 10: You're taking it out the books. Now you even have
- 40:27Speaker 10: to discuss it, right.
- 40:28Speaker 3: Well, that was her point. That's why she bought up oppression.
- 40:31Speaker 3: That's how it all started, because she said, you're misusing
- 40:34Speaker 3: the word because you want to take all of our
- 40:36Speaker 3: history out of school. So you're just saying something you
- 40:39Speaker 3: don't even know what oppression means. Right, So yes, yes, right, oh,
- 40:43Speaker 3: my sister, Yeah, keep it coming all right, coming up
- 40:47Speaker 3: at thirty four minutes after the hour, switching gears here,
- 40:50Speaker 3: we'll discuss the rudest things, the rudest things you can
- 40:53Speaker 3: do at the Thanksgiving table.
- 40:56Speaker 11: Right after this, you're listening one morning show, you know,
- 41:02Speaker 11: having good manners is always important, and just in time
- 41:06Speaker 11: for Thanksgiving next week, it came quickly. Etiquette experts are
- 41:11Speaker 11: naming the rudest things, the most rude things that people

- 41:19Speaker 11: First of all, at the dinner table, don't use your
- 41:22Speaker 11: cell phone. That's rude. Okay. Our phones are part of
- 41:27Speaker 11: daily life, but this is Yeah, this is the time
- 41:29Speaker 11: you're spending family. Yeah, they don't belong at the table,
- 41:33Speaker 11: especially on Thanksgiving. You know, the whole point of the
- 41:36Speaker 11: occasion is to be thankful for being together, for being
- 41:38Speaker 11: a family, and a phone.
- 41:40Speaker 13: Is just a distraction from that.
- 41:42Speaker 1: We're going to put you at the kids table. Okay,
- 41:44Speaker 1: keep on here.
- 41:45Speaker 11: Okay, I like that, I like you, all right, all right,

- 43:00Speaker 10: back home.
- 43:02Speaker 1: So so what what is what?
- 43:04Speaker 11: What is one of the rudest things you think people
- 43:07Speaker 11: can do if they come to Thanksgiving dinner?
- 43:10Speaker 10: Surely this is one that has happened. And I'm probably
- 43:13Speaker 10: gonna get in trouble for bringing this up. I jack
- 43:15Speaker 10: at Listen, one of the relatives took her seeth out,
- 43:21Speaker 10: took her teeth out at the table, Wrap it in
- 43:26Speaker 10: a napkin. Listen to wrap it in a napkin? Right,

- 56:15Speaker 10: you here. It is Strawberry letter.
- 56:18Speaker 11: Thank you and nephew. Subject, why did he really leave me?
- 56:23Speaker 1: Here?
- 56:23Speaker 11: Stephen Shirley, I've been married seven years and we have
- 56:26Speaker 11: two children. I was basically taking care of the children
- 56:29Speaker 11: because my husband worked long hours and he liked to
- 56:32Speaker 11: hang out and drink after work. I was in school too,
- 56:37Speaker 11: but I was determined to take care of my family.
- 56:40Speaker 11: I overlooked a lot because I believe in my husband
- 56:42Speaker 11: and I had hopes that he would get himself together
- 56:45Speaker 11: one day. I was completely blindsided when he moved out,
- 56:49Speaker 11: and I want to know why he really left me.
- 56:51Speaker 11: When I started working from home, that's when he started
- 56:55Speaker 11: staying out late. He also stayed out all night a
- 56:58Speaker 11: couple of times. One time he went to get his
- 57:00Speaker 11: hair braided, and he said he fell asleep in his
- 57:04Speaker 11: car outside his hair braider's house because he was drunk.
- 57:07Speaker 11: The other time was because he was out late with
- 57:10Speaker 11: friends at the club, so he slept outside his dad's
- 57:13Speaker 11: house in his car because he couldn't make it home.
- 57:17Speaker 11: I got on his case really bad, and he left
- 57:19Speaker 11: the house and went to stay with his daddy.
- 57:22Speaker 1: I called his daddy.
- 57:23Speaker 11: To see if he would talk to my husband about drinking,
- 57:26Speaker 11: and he said that my husband has not had a
- 57:28Speaker 11: drink since he'd been there. I talked to my husband's
- 57:32Speaker 11: best friend and he said, my husband might have one
- 57:36Speaker 11: or two drinks when they're at the club. It seems
- 57:38Speaker 11: like he used alcohol as an excuse to stay out.
- 57:43Speaker 11: He found out that I called his dad and his
- 57:45Speaker 11: best friend, and he said he would be staying somewhere
- 57:48Speaker 11: else and I will never find him. After two weeks,
- 57:52Speaker 11: the street started talking and I heard that he was
- 57:55Speaker 11: staying with a woman that he works with. I confronted
- 57:58Speaker 11: him and he said that he is asleeping with her
- 58:00Speaker 11: at all. If that's true, then why did he leave
- 58:02Speaker 11: me to go stay at her house. This is the cold,
- 58:06Speaker 11: hard truth right here. He does not want to be there,
- 58:09Speaker 11: He does not want to be in that house with you,
- 58:11Speaker 11: and he doesn't want to be married to you. I mean,
- 58:14Speaker 11: this is pretty obvious. He just walked out. I'm really sorry.
- 58:17Speaker 11: I really am from my heart that this has happened
- 58:20Speaker 11: to you, but you got to face it. At this point,
- 58:22Speaker 11: it is over. He has abandoned you and your children.
- 58:27Speaker 11: He's been lying to you this entire time about his
- 58:29Speaker 11: drinking and all of that, and staying outside in his car.
- 58:33Speaker 11: There's just no other way to put it. He's been lying.
- 58:37Speaker 11: Plus he told you you would never find him. You
- 58:40Speaker 11: need to file for child support and try to pick
- 58:42Speaker 11: up the pieces and move on. Any man that can
- 58:46Speaker 11: walk away from his kids and his wife with no
- 58:49Speaker 11: remorse is not a man at all. Don't believe what
- 58:52Speaker 11: he tells you. After all his lives how could you
- 58:54Speaker 11: believe him anyway. Now is the time to collect yourself.
- 58:57Speaker 11: You've got to be strong for those kids. So let
- 59:01Speaker 11: him go and move on. He left his family and
- 59:04Speaker 11: has not looked back. He did that.
- 59:06Speaker 13: Forget about closure, forget all of that.
- 59:09Speaker 11: Just deal with what is. He's gone. He left you
- 59:12Speaker 11: and the kids. There's no reason for that, nephew.
- 59:16Speaker 10: He does not like you at all. He's clothes. He
- 59:23Speaker 10: does not like you. It is something about you that
- 59:27Speaker 10: you don't know, but he don't like you. Ain't figured
- 59:31Speaker 10: out what it is about yourself that he don't like.
- 59:33Speaker 10: There's something about you that he just don't like. I
- 59:37Speaker 10: don't know if it's your If it's sex, could be terrible.
- 59:41Speaker 10: But that might be the case. Wait, it might be
- 59:44Speaker 10: the case. You might just be getting on his dog
- 59:46Speaker 10: on nerves. I don't know what it is, but there's
- 59:48Speaker 10: something about you he don't like.
- 59:51Speaker 1: Let's go down and line when you start working from home.
- 59:54Speaker 10: He was out. He wanted to get away from you.
- 59:57Speaker 10: That's the first thing. What's the second one? He lined
- 1:00:01Speaker 10: by drinking. He lined by drinking to stay out. Okay,
- 1:00:06Speaker 10: I slept in my daddy drive away. I slept my
- 1:00:10Speaker 10: side over here. Whatever he can say to not come
- 1:00:14Speaker 10: home to you, he's willing to say it. He does
- 1:00:17Speaker 10: not like you. Now you find out. And this is
- 1:00:20Speaker 10: what people always kill me with the streets. That's talking.
- 1:00:23Speaker 10: Who is the streets? Where did you get this information from?
- 1:00:26Speaker 10: Who told you this?
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: You?
- 1:00:28Speaker 10: You're putting you into the street. Now how you find out?
- 1:00:31Speaker 10: Now he's staying at some woman house. And what he
- 1:00:33Speaker 10: say to you, we ain't doing that. We ain't doing that.
- 1:00:36Speaker 10: He's trying to make you feel a little better.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: He's trying.
- 1:00:38Speaker 10: Now you don't want to hurt your feeling too bad.
- 1:00:40Speaker 10: But guess what he's done with you? For some reason,
- 1:00:45Speaker 10: he does not want to have anything to do with you.
- 1:00:47Speaker 10: And it amazes me and I and I even see
- 1:00:50Speaker 10: this on on on my TV show, some of these
- 1:00:54Speaker 10: a lot of ladies gotta know why they want that
- 1:00:58Speaker 10: type of clothes. Sure, they can't go on until they
- 1:01:01Speaker 10: find till they know what what went wrong here. And
- 1:01:04Speaker 10: I understand you want to know when we're wrong because
- 1:01:06Speaker 10: you want to you want to make sure maybe it
- 1:01:07Speaker 10: doesn't happen again. But yeah, you want to try and
- 1:01:11Speaker 10: fix it. Sometimes it's not fixable. Sometimes it's not even you.
- 1:01:16Speaker 10: Sometimes it's just, hey, he just don't want this relationship
- 1:01:19Speaker 10: no more. So I'm not you know, I don't like
- 1:01:22Speaker 10: it when men do this, especially when children are involved.
- 1:01:24Speaker 10: That's just that's when it's just really really bad because
- 1:01:27Speaker 10: now you got you got kids that are taking the
- 1:01:29Speaker 10: hit from this and now their dad is not in
- 1:01:31Speaker 10: the house. And we've seen too much of that in
- 1:01:33Speaker 10: our in the African American community.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: We hate that part.
- 1:01:36Speaker 10: But I just I'm just telling you straight up, there's
- 1:01:39Speaker 10: something about you this man don't like.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: And he's done. He just done.
- 1:01:44Speaker 10: And sometimes when men are done, you're trying to figure
- 1:01:46Speaker 10: out why is he done?
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: And you might not ever get that.
- 1:01:49Speaker 10: You may not ever find out why, and then you're
- 1:01:52Speaker 10: gonna go to the next relationship, and the problem is
- 1:01:55Speaker 10: going to be, now you're gonna take that baggage over there,
- 1:01:58Speaker 10: and you think that the next man gonna do the
- 1:02:00Speaker 10: same thing, And that's where the problem comes. Boy that
- 1:02:04Speaker 10: boy ready to love today? Ain't that boy that boy
- 1:02:07Speaker 10: talking today?
- 1:02:08Speaker 11: But we're not and we're not trying to say that
- 1:02:12Speaker 11: it's her fault, that she's herself.
- 1:02:16Speaker 10: People are just done and it's not your fault. I
- 1:02:19Speaker 10: get that part. The problem is you're trying to figure
- 1:02:22Speaker 10: it all out when there's nothing to figure out.
- 1:02:24Speaker 11: Yeah, all right, we have another We have part two
- 1:02:27Speaker 11: coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.

- 1:03:18Speaker 11: All right, we're going to recap today's Strawberry letters. Subject
- 1:03:22Speaker 11: it is why did he really leave me?
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: All right?
- 1:03:25Speaker 11: This young lady wrote in she's been married for seven years.
- 1:03:27Speaker 11: They have two children. She's been basically taking care of
- 1:03:30Speaker 11: the children. Her husband worked long hours. He liked to
- 1:03:33Speaker 11: hang out and drink after work. She was in school,
- 1:03:36Speaker 11: but her family was her priority. As she said, she
- 1:03:39Speaker 11: overlooked a lot in her husband. She thought that he
- 1:03:42Speaker 11: would get it together one day. Well, she started working
- 1:03:45Speaker 11: from home. Evidently he didn't like that, and he just
- 1:03:49Speaker 11: decided one day that he would move out. And her
- 1:03:54Speaker 11: issue is she wants to know why he really left her.
- 1:03:57Speaker 11: That's when things started getting bad. He started staying out late.
- 1:04:01Speaker 11: He stayed out all night. He said, he was outside
- 1:04:05Speaker 11: of the hair braider's house and he got drunk and
- 1:04:07Speaker 11: fell asleep. Then he went over to his daddy's house
- 1:04:09Speaker 11: in state. His daddy said that he didn't really drink
- 1:04:12Speaker 11: like that. His friend said it too, So she still
- 1:04:15Speaker 11: wants to know why did he really leave her. Now
- 1:04:20Speaker 11: he's living with a woman that he works with, he claims,
- 1:04:23Speaker 11: and he told his wife that she will never find him.
- 1:04:27Speaker 13: So he left her, and he left the kids and
- 1:04:29Speaker 13: he's done.
- 1:04:29Speaker 11: She wants closure, And she says, if it's really true
- 1:04:33Speaker 11: that he's staying with this woman, why did he leave her?
- 1:04:37Speaker 11: Why did he leave her? That's what she wants to know. Tommy,

- 1:10:15Speaker 11: you got Juniors? Okay, we all saw the Tyson Jake
- 1:10:19Speaker 11: Paul fight. Yeah, now they're saying it's possibly that it
- 1:10:22Speaker 11: was d do y'all believe that whole fight with stage?
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Yeah, Junior, it was impossibility, it really is. It was
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: it was horrible.
- 1:10:30Speaker 10: I mean, we got Mike's ass out at the beginning,
- 1:10:33Speaker 10: we got we got the glitches going on with with Netflix.
- 1:10:37Speaker 10: It's a hot mess. It wasn't good.
- 1:10:39Speaker 9: It was just would you watch another fight on Netflix?
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: I'm watching Mike Tyson do anything. I'm a Mike Dyson fans.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: He's coming back.
- 1:10:47Speaker 10: Yeah, Mike coming I watched Mike on PBS anything whatever, Mike.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: Oh, and I'm watching I got that.
- 1:10:55Speaker 9: Let's give you this to you?
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 1:10:57Speaker 16: They're saying now that if it's possible, if Deon Sanders
- 1:11:00Speaker 16: could get the job as a Cowboys head coach, if
- 1:11:03Speaker 16: they draft to darn Sanders, how would how would Mike
- 1:11:12Speaker 16: Tyson do with Jerry Jones? I mean, not Deon Sander
- 1:11:15Speaker 16: do with Jerry.
- 1:11:15Speaker 10: Jones Oftenna say, now, Mike on the team, we really
- 1:11:18Speaker 10: got an issue.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: What is going on him and the games of the
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: net Flix?
- 1:11:27Speaker 9: I mean Deon Sanders being the head coach?
- 1:11:29Speaker 16: How would that work with Jerry Jones because they both
- 1:11:32Speaker 16: they both gonna have to fight for this.
- 1:11:33Speaker 10: Yeah, but you got to give him, Jerry got to
- 1:11:35Speaker 10: give him complete control.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:11:38Speaker 10: I'm not gonna coach like that. Prime, I'm not gonna
- 1:11:40Speaker 10: coach like that. You got to give him complete control
- 1:11:42Speaker 10: and let him do the thing.
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: I think so.
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: I mean Dion used to play for the Cowboys, so
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: the environment he knows, the city, he loves, Dallas. I think, Jerry,
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: if he hires Deon, you gotta let Prime do his thing.
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: I gotta let him know he can't control him so well,
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: can I guess he needs.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: That's what Jerry Jones needs.
- 1:12:02Speaker 9: Somebody can't control.
- 1:12:04Speaker 11: Can I just say this though Jerry Jones for the
- 1:12:06Speaker 11: fight when he was talking and said was also on
- 1:12:09Speaker 11: the panel, said didn't get a word in edge wise,
- 1:12:12Speaker 11: when Jerry Jones is talking, I.
- 1:12:14Speaker 9: Saw that saying yeah, I saw that, like what I
- 1:12:17Speaker 9: did for.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Y the Princess and Monda the moondun.

- 1:12:35Speaker 10: pick your uncle t No, I'm not picking his team. No,
- 1:12:39Speaker 10: And if he was here, he probably wasn't picking me,
- 1:12:41Speaker 10: you know. Damn well, Cleveland, that's.
- 1:12:45Speaker 16: Out at least Coni you have to answer that fat
- 1:12:48Speaker 16: you can at least consider it.
- 1:12:49Speaker 10: You know what, he tried to go so hard at
- 1:12:51Speaker 10: our team and then Cleveland ain't doing a dog one thing.
- 1:12:54Speaker 10: That's that's amazing as me nothing. They doing nothing. Well,
- 1:12:57Speaker 10: the Texas got we got a shot.
- 1:12:59Speaker 9: We good.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: He's a long shot, but we got a shot. We
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: actually changed.
- 1:13:04Speaker 16: But I'm gonna tell him you picked the Steve with them.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: All right, Junior, thank you. Coming up at the top
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: of the hour, woman needs some help.
- 1:13:16Speaker 11: She needs some advice about her boyfriend and how he
- 1:13:20Speaker 11: refuses to use navigation.
- 1:13:21Speaker 13: We'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: He just driving around.

- 1:13:33Speaker 11: She says, my boyfriend insists on finding his way without
- 1:13:36Speaker 11: maps or GPS, even on long road trips. We've gotten
- 1:13:40Speaker 11: lost more than once, but he won't admit he needs help.
- 1:13:43Speaker 11: It makes me anxious because he insists he's just taking
- 1:13:46Speaker 11: the scenic route and it's an adventure. But to me,
- 1:13:50Speaker 11: it's just dumb. Should I keep pushing for him to
- 1:13:53Speaker 11: be reasonable and use navigation or.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Just let him do what he does. Oh okay, this
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: is simple.
- 1:14:01Speaker 10: There's you want to argue up the whole time where y'all.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: Trying to go somewhere. I want to waste time.
- 1:14:07Speaker 10: I know you don't waste your time because if you
- 1:14:09Speaker 10: don't have if you don't have GPS, you really might
- 1:14:12Speaker 10: as well add another hour and a half to whatever
- 1:14:14Speaker 10: y'all doing, because you're gonna get you're gonna get thrown off.
- 1:14:17Speaker 10: I can't do without it. I'm a I'm a I'm
- 1:14:20Speaker 10: a GP I'm a Google GPS. Though waves be throwing
- 1:14:23Speaker 10: me at a different leap. Jackie loved wave.
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: That's her thing, and it's waves wa waves waves wave like.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: It was waves, because that's what it'll be doing to me. Figure,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: show your waves up. I go back.
- 1:14:47Speaker 10: I go back to ride in the truck with my
- 1:14:49Speaker 10: daddy with a Thomas Key map that on. Yeah, yeah, yes,
- 1:14:54Speaker 10: I had to learn how to reuse that thing that was.
- 1:14:56Speaker 10: That was like real the first navigation for me.
- 1:14:59Speaker 13: But real, rich, if you don't know where you're going,
- 1:15:01Speaker 13: are you going to find it?
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: That's crazy in some direction. I know where I'm going.
- 1:15:07Speaker 9: I still turn my GPS on.
- 1:15:09Speaker 11: Yeah, that's just crazy, all right?
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: Thank you. That was You're right, that was simple. Problem solved. Okay,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: we have a time for another one. This is from.
- 1:15:18Speaker 13: Jared on Facebook.
- 1:15:20Speaker 11: Jared says, my mom's health has been declining and she
- 1:15:23Speaker 11: needs some help with daily tasks.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: My siblings think she should move in with me since.
- 1:15:28Speaker 11: I have an extra room, but I worry that it'll
- 1:15:31Speaker 11: turn into more than I can handle and I don't
- 1:15:33Speaker 11: want to burden my wife and kids. I don't want
- 1:15:36Speaker 11: to seem selfish, but I don't know what to do here.
- 1:15:39Speaker 13: Should I have her come.
- 1:15:40Speaker 11: Live with us or would she be better with some professional support?
- 1:15:45Speaker 6: Hard?
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: Yeah, and you have to check with your wife. That's hard.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: You've got to have a conversation with your wife. Yeah,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: you do.
- 1:15:52Speaker 10: I'm me personally, I'm I'm doing whatever take for my mom.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: For your mom, y'all already know me of times.
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: I don't think that if you're getting professional help and
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: putting your loved one if you can't handle it, and
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: if you're putting your loved one, I don't think assistant
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: living and getting that kind of help is as bad
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: the label like you know, like it used to be
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: back and I had.
- 1:16:16Speaker 11: It for my mom in her you know, in the
- 1:16:19Speaker 11: final stages. I had it for my mom, and yeah,
- 1:16:22Speaker 11: I don't. You don't live in the same shape.
- 1:16:24Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, but even if your mother's at your home,
- 1:16:27Speaker 10: even if your mother's at your home, that doesn't mean
- 1:16:29Speaker 10: that you have the time to take care of You
- 1:16:32Speaker 10: still need Yeah, you're still don't need some help because
- 1:16:36Speaker 10: if everybody's you know, most household, everybody going to work, right,
- 1:16:40Speaker 10: you know, who's.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Taking care of mom?
- 1:16:42Speaker 11: Somebody got to take care of and see we're here,
- 1:16:44Speaker 11: of course, he would say, and who's gonna wash wash,
- 1:16:49Speaker 11: you know, he would say that.
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: But that's why I said, you can still get help,
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: get help.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: If you right.
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: Yeah, that's so tough aging taking care of your parents
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: and role reversal.
- 1:17:04Speaker 10: Yeah, but that's something that siblings got to come together
- 1:17:08Speaker 10: and really make a rational decision.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: They have to.
- 1:17:10Speaker 11: But a lot of times they joke though, Tommy, a
- 1:17:13Speaker 11: lot oftimes they don't like, you know, the single ones
- 1:17:17Speaker 11: in the family. You know, they want them to take
- 1:17:20Speaker 11: it over and and have that complete responsibility.
- 1:17:23Speaker 13: It's a lot to go on.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: Whoever's doing well, whoever has the money. You got that
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: big old house. You need to be you got thro
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: that you.
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: Hear that that's what he's hearing in this left.
- 1:17:35Speaker 12: Yeah, it's the guilt, it's the trip and right.
- 1:17:40Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, So how about compromise. I'll take mama in,
- 1:17:46Speaker 10: y'all pay for the support that we need to help
- 1:17:49Speaker 10: her on.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: A daily basis.
- 1:17:50Speaker 11: That sounds I mean, it sounds good, but it doesn't
- 1:17:53Speaker 11: always work out there.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 1:17:59Speaker 11: With that, yeah, I mean, all right, guys middle somewhere.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: Yeah, well, MoMA bully, they can work it out. Yeah,

- 1:24:31Speaker 11: Here we are, last break of the day, last break
- 1:24:34Speaker 11: of the day, with just one more thing, Steve.
- 1:24:36Speaker 13: I'm glad for one. I think we all are that your.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: Closing remarks are back.
- 1:24:40Speaker 13: Yeah, they're always inspirational. You always motivate us to do something.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: Really, I was just.
- 1:24:47Speaker 6: I don't want to sound you know, but anyway, what
- 1:24:50Speaker 6: I We're just asking.
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: God what could I do more? What what could I do?
- 1:24:56Speaker 6: And it was just put on my heart to share
- 1:24:58Speaker 6: more on Start takes a moment out at the beginning
- 1:25:02Speaker 6: and the close of the show and just try to
- 1:25:05Speaker 6: encourage more people. And I've learned so much over the years.
- 1:25:10Speaker 6: You know, I've had a tough go of it as
- 1:25:11Speaker 6: many of you have. Mine ain't my story animal rich
- 1:25:15Speaker 6: or deep it than nobody else's. So I just try
- 1:25:17Speaker 6: to share the information that I've actually learned, because I've
- 1:25:21Speaker 6: learned a lot. And one of the things that I've
- 1:25:24Speaker 6: learned is about when to start. You know, whenever you
- 1:25:29Speaker 6: come up with an idea or thought or move you
- 1:25:33Speaker 6: want to make, or something comes from your imagination. The
- 1:25:37Speaker 6: thing that I find that stops people oftentimes is when
- 1:25:43Speaker 6: do I start? Now Here's the thing with starting. What
- 1:25:50Speaker 6: people do is they delay the start by overthinking it.
- 1:25:56Speaker 6: And if you overthink something, guess what will event and
- 1:26:00Speaker 6: you over explain it to other people. Eventually the how
- 1:26:05Speaker 6: it won't work it's going to come up. So you
- 1:26:08Speaker 6: have this fabulous idea that you've thought of, right, and
- 1:26:11Speaker 6: then you shared with some people and he said, man,
- 1:26:12Speaker 6: I'm gonna go do this, and you start talking it
- 1:26:15Speaker 6: over and you start thinking it through and you share
- 1:26:17Speaker 6: it with more people. The more people you share with
- 1:26:19Speaker 6: and the more people you and the more you think
- 1:26:21Speaker 6: it through, you know what. You keep coming up with
- 1:26:25Speaker 6: the mishaps, the things that can go wrong, and you
- 1:26:28Speaker 6: end up delaying the start.
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: The other thing that happens.
- 1:26:32Speaker 6: Is people try to line all they ducks up in
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: a row before they start so they can just go
- 1:26:37Speaker 6: on and start knocking them down. That's a mistake because
- 1:26:41Speaker 6: that almost never ever happens. I have yet to see
- 1:26:46Speaker 6: any deal I've ever done, any project i've started go
- 1:26:51Speaker 6: just the way I thought.
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: It was gonna go. I have never seen that.
- 1:26:55Speaker 6: I have yet to close a deal that just went smoothly,
- 1:27:00Speaker 6: no wrinkles, no bumps, no nothing. I've never seen that.
- 1:27:05Speaker 6: So when you're waiting to start, and then the naysayers
- 1:27:10Speaker 6: hit and you're waiting to start to get your ducks
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: lined up in a row, you're delaying the process. You
- 1:27:20Speaker 6: know when the best time to start is right now, because.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: Right now alleviates procrastination.
- 1:27:30Speaker 6: If you wait on the ducks to get lined up
- 1:27:31Speaker 6: in a row, and you're listening to the naysayers, procrastination
- 1:27:36Speaker 6: has already set in and taken place, and oftentimes it
- 1:27:39Speaker 6: takes hold. So what I found is when I come
- 1:27:42Speaker 6: up with the idea, I start the process. Now, I
- 1:27:47Speaker 6: start the process. Now.
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: Look, man, you can easily do that. It's simple things.
- 1:27:54Speaker 6: What stops people is you try to figure out all
- 1:27:57Speaker 6: the way through. You have this goal that you got
- 1:28:00Speaker 6: and you say, okay, I'm gonna do this. Then if
- 1:28:01Speaker 6: I do that, then if I do that, and then
- 1:28:04Speaker 6: you get stuck because you go, well what happens after that?
- 1:28:06Speaker 6: Because you've never been in that area before, you've never
- 1:28:09Speaker 6: gone down that road, so the unknown strikes you. And
- 1:28:12Speaker 6: then because you can't figure out what you do when
- 1:28:14Speaker 6: you get to the unknown, you stop. So now you
- 1:28:17Speaker 6: couldn't line up all your ducks in a row. So
- 1:28:19Speaker 6: the process to success is delayed.
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: Again.
- 1:28:22Speaker 6: Stop doing that to yourself. In twenty eighteen, y'all start now.
- 1:28:27Speaker 6: Do it now.
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: What you have to do next will be shown to you.
- 1:28:35Speaker 6: It'll your first step will lead you to the second step. Now,
- 1:28:40Speaker 6: sometimes on your journey you make a bad turn. You
- 1:28:42Speaker 6: gotta make a U turn and come back and cross
- 1:28:44Speaker 6: over the other bridge instead of going that way. But
- 1:28:47Speaker 6: until you take one step, you'll never know where the
- 1:28:50Speaker 6: next turn is. If it's a fork in the road,
- 1:28:53Speaker 6: if it's a U turn, if it's a being, if
- 1:28:55Speaker 6: it's a valley, if it's a mountain. You gotta start today.
- 1:28:59Speaker 6: Stop delaying everybody. Whatever it is you want to do,
- 1:29:02Speaker 6: start today. You may be surprised that you can actually
- 1:29:08Speaker 6: get yourself further than you thought you could with nobody
- 1:29:12Speaker 6: else's help. Now, in order to be successful, you're gonna
- 1:29:15Speaker 6: need somebody's help, But to start, oftentimes you just need
- 1:29:19Speaker 6: yourself start the process. God will show you the way.
- 1:29:27Speaker 6: He really will. He always has. I say this often
- 1:29:32Speaker 6: to people. God will get you through for though everybody's
- 1:29:37Speaker 6: listening right now, name one thing that God hasn't gotten
- 1:29:41Speaker 6: you through. And if He hasn't gotten you through it,
- 1:29:46Speaker 6: he's currently pulling you through it right now. And you
- 1:29:49Speaker 6: know how I know because you're listening to the radio.
- 1:29:54Speaker 6: How you listening to the radio. It's because he's pulling
- 1:29:58Speaker 6: you through something right now. He's gotten you through all
- 1:30:02Speaker 6: the other stuff, but he's pulling you through right now.
- 1:30:07Speaker 6: If you start the process, God will pull you through.
- 1:30:13Speaker 6: But you'll never know until you start. Make twenty eighteen
