- 0:00Speaker 1: May I have been the best post I saw. I
- 0:02Speaker 1: had just said. Liz Cheney is gone. By Felicia, Republican Representative,
- 0:08Speaker 1: Liz Cheney is no more losing her her seat in
- 0:13Speaker 1: Congress in a blood of bath, I mean a beat
- 0:17Speaker 1: down by a Donald Trump back challenger, Harriet Hagman and
- 0:22Speaker 1: that Wyoming GOP primary. It's the end of the air,
- 0:25Speaker 1: by the way, Donald Trump has ended the Bush Cheney
- 0:28Speaker 1: air clearly because every time he runs against those families
- 0:33Speaker 1: and picks candidates against him, they win. Incumbent Republican Liz
- 0:37Speaker 1: Chenney had has been defeated. It was an early projection,
- 0:44Speaker 1: by the way, as the it was a victory that
- 0:48Speaker 1: was widely watched contest nationwide, certainly one that was watched
- 0:52Speaker 1: by the President. Cheney, who was one of the ten
- 0:55Speaker 1: Republicans who voted in favor of impeaching Donald Trump last
- 0:59Speaker 1: year in wake of the January sixth Riot, was ousted
- 1:03Speaker 1: from her role as House Republican Conference chair last year
- 1:06Speaker 1: as well. She is one of the two Republican lawmakers
- 1:09Speaker 1: sitting on the House Select Committee established to investigate the
- 1:13Speaker 1: January sixth episode. Now, at least some of the people
- 1:16Speaker 1: that were running decided not to run for reelection when
- 1:19Speaker 1: they knew the writing was on the wall. But Liz Cheney,
- 1:22Speaker 1: being arrogant and Khaki is all get out, decided to
- 1:27Speaker 1: run even though she was down in the polls. Somehow
- 1:32Speaker 1: as a nartist, convincing herself and even having her dad
- 1:35Speaker 1: do an ad on Fox News Channel Dick Cheney about
- 1:38Speaker 1: why she needed to go back to Washington. Democratic lawmakers
- 1:42Speaker 1: had urged people to vote for changing the GOP primary.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Representive Dean Phillips of Minneapolis encouraged people please consider temporarily
- 1:50Speaker 1: switching parties and voting for Liz Cheney on or by
- 1:55Speaker 1: August the sixteenth, saying it's so important that we keep
- 1:59Speaker 1: people like Liz Chenney, the useful idiots for the left,
- 2:02Speaker 1: actually in office. This is also referred to as an
- 2:05Speaker 1: Operation Chaos. Take a listen, hi, I'm Dean Phillips, a
- 2:10Speaker 1: Democratic Member of Congress from Minnesota. Principle must always come
- 2:14Speaker 1: before politics, and nobody has shown more honor, integrity, and
- 2:18Speaker 1: courage than she. Patriots will put it all on the
- 2:21Speaker 1: line to protect our country, and Liz Cheney has done that.
- 2:25Speaker 1: It's far more important than any policy differences that we
- 2:27Speaker 1: might have so I ask you to please consider temporarily
- 2:31Speaker 1: switching parties and voting for Liz Cheney on or by
- 2:34Speaker 1: August sixteenth. They'll be sending a very clear message to
- 2:37Speaker 1: Donald Trump and protecting our democracy. Thank you. Yeah, there
- 2:41Speaker 1: it is to sending a very clear message to Donald Trump. Right, Yeah,
- 2:46Speaker 1: let's stick it to Trump that I'll teach him. Yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 1: we're gonna we're gonna show him something. We're gonna send
- 2:52Speaker 1: him a message that is exactly how they wanted this
- 2:55Speaker 1: election to go. It didn't work. Now, before I get
- 2:59Speaker 1: into more of this story, I want to say thank
- 3:01Speaker 1: you and tell you about our good friends at Legacy
- 3:03Speaker 1: Precious Medals. Without them, the show wouldn't be possible. And
- 3:06Speaker 1: if you have not looked at gold and silver as
- 3:09Speaker 1: a way to protect your hard earned dollars against what's
- 3:11Speaker 1: happening on Wall Street with inflation, it's time for you
- 3:15Speaker 1: to call them and get the Free Investors Guide. Why
- 3:18Speaker 1: because so many around the world are now using gold
- 3:20Speaker 1: and silver, and historically they have for decades as a
- 3:24Speaker 1: protection a hedge against inflation, which is exactly what we're
- 3:27Speaker 1: dealing with right now. If you're terrified to look at
- 3:30Speaker 1: your retirement account, your four one case statement. Because of
- 3:33Speaker 1: what's happening on Wall Street, that's all the more reason
- 3:36Speaker 1: why you should call and get the investors got in
- 3:38Speaker 1: gold and silver, protect your hard earned money and diversify.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Call them and get the free Investors Guide from Legacy
- 3:44Speaker 1: Precious Medals one eight six six seven five one twenty
- 3:49Speaker 1: two eighteen one eight six six seven five one twenty
- 3:54Speaker 1: two eighteen or online at Legacy PM investments dot com.
- 3:59Speaker 1: All right, let's get back to this other part. That
- 4:01Speaker 1: former Republican President George W. Bush had given the maximum
- 4:05Speaker 1: donation by the way that he could give to Liz
- 4:07Speaker 1: Cheney two thousand, nine hundred dollars in the primary, according
- 4:10Speaker 1: to the the Houston Chronicle, which know that Karl Rove had
- 4:13Speaker 1: also shelled out the maximum donation. Rove even served as
- 4:17Speaker 1: a senior advisor and as a deput chief of staff
- 4:20Speaker 1: to Cheney and Bush. As you know, Cheney the daughter
- 4:22Speaker 1: of Dick Cheney, who served as a Vice president during
- 4:25Speaker 1: the Bush's White House tenure. In a campaign ad for
- 4:27Speaker 1: his daughter, Dick Chaney declared, quote, there is nothing more
- 4:31Speaker 1: important she will ever do than lead the effort to
- 4:34Speaker 1: make sure Donald Trump is never again never in the
- 4:38Speaker 1: Oval Office, and she will succeed, he said in the
- 4:41Speaker 1: ad that didn't go over very well. Former President Donald
- 4:44Speaker 1: Trump endorsed Hagman last year while calling Cheney a warmongerer
- 4:50Speaker 1: and disloyal Republican as well as a rhino, which is
- 4:53Speaker 1: an acronym for the phrase Republican in name only. If
- 4:57Speaker 1: the cost of standing out for the Constitution is losing
- 5:00Speaker 1: the House seat, then that's a price I'm willing to pay,
- 5:03Speaker 1: Cheney had said at the time to The New York Times.
- 5:05Speaker 1: During an interview last month, Cheney told CNN's Jake Tapper
- 5:10Speaker 1: that no matter the outcome of the primary contest, she
- 5:12Speaker 1: would fight hard to ensure that Donald Trump is never
- 5:15Speaker 1: anywhere close to the Oval Office ever. Again, Trump and
- 5:19Speaker 1: a bunch of those House Republican leaders are trying to
- 5:22Speaker 1: get you defeated in your primary, your Republican primary in August.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I couldn't help but notice that two of the individuals
- 5:29Speaker 1: whom we've heard from in these hearings privately expressing outrage
- 5:33Speaker 1: at their former bosses lies in actions. Former Trump campaign
- 5:36Speaker 1: manager Bill Stepian and former Trump campaign spokesman Tim Murtough.
- 5:40Speaker 1: They're both currently fully engaged in trying to defeat you
- 5:45Speaker 1: in the Wyoming primary, specifically because you're standing up to
- 5:49Speaker 1: the very things that they expressed outrage about privately. That
- 5:54Speaker 1: must be really strange for you. I mean, look, it is.
- 5:58Speaker 1: It's a highly unusual moment, certainly in American politics, and
- 6:03Speaker 1: I am working hard here in Wyoming to earn every vote.
- 6:09Speaker 1: But I will also say this, I'm not going to lie.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I'm not going to say things that aren't true about
- 6:15Speaker 1: the election. My opponents are doing that, certainly simply for
- 6:19Speaker 1: the purpose of getting elected. And Jake, if I have
- 6:22Speaker 1: to choose between maintaining a seat in the House of
- 6:25Speaker 1: Representatives or protecting the constitutional republic and ensuring the American
- 6:31Speaker 1: people know the truth about Donald Trump, I'm going to
- 6:35Speaker 1: choose the Constitution and the truth every single day. And
- 6:40Speaker 1: so you know, as I said, I'm fighting hard no
- 6:43Speaker 1: matter what happens on August sixteenth, I'm going to wake
- 6:46Speaker 1: up on August seventeenth and continue to fight hard to
- 6:49Speaker 1: ensure Donald Trump is never anywhere close to the Oval
- 6:52Speaker 1: office ever. Again, if you end up losing your job
- 6:56Speaker 1: in Congress because of your work on this committee, will
- 7:00Speaker 1: have been worth it to you. There's no question I
- 7:04Speaker 1: believe that my work on this committee is the single
- 7:08Speaker 1: most important thing I've ever done professionally. It is an
- 7:11Speaker 1: unbelievable honor to represent the people of Wyoming in Congress.
- 7:15Speaker 1: And I know that all of us who are elected
- 7:18Speaker 1: officials take an oath that we swear under God to
- 7:21Speaker 1: the Constitution, and that oath has to mean something, and
- 7:25Speaker 1: that oath means that we cannot embrace and enable the
- 7:30Speaker 1: president as dangerous as Donald Trump is. And my obligations
- 7:34Speaker 1: and my responsibilities on this committee are to ensure that
- 7:38Speaker 1: we understand exactly what happens so that we can establish
- 7:44Speaker 1: legislation and recommendations to help ensure it never happens again.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I love this. Right, Donald Trump is the most dangerous
- 7:52Speaker 1: man in America. This is what a Republican Liz Cheney
- 7:55Speaker 1: Dick James daughter was saying going into the election, and
- 7:57Speaker 1: this is why she lost. Right runs a Democrat, be
- 8:01Speaker 1: a Democrat. But you can't tell me that Donald Trumps
- 8:03Speaker 1: was dangerous man in America when you have the Bidens
- 8:06Speaker 1: who left eight hundred Americans behind in Afghanistan and we
- 8:10Speaker 1: had to figure out how to get them out after
- 8:12Speaker 1: we left them there, right, left them there at the
- 8:14Speaker 1: hands of the Taliband, like, give me a break. So
- 8:18Speaker 1: the big headline is Donald Trump back challenger, defeat to
- 8:22Speaker 1: Liz Cheney and the GOP primary election as Democrats tried
- 8:26Speaker 1: Operation Chaos, switching parties to try to save her because
- 8:30Speaker 1: she said she believes that Donald Trump is a criminal
- 8:34Speaker 1: and she was gonna make sure he never stepped foot
- 8:37Speaker 1: back in the Oval office. Well, she'll never step foot
- 8:39Speaker 1: back in Congress to make a vote. After election night,
- 8:44Speaker 1: She'll yeah, I mean she'll soon as you get to
- 8:46Speaker 1: go there for the next couple of weeks and then
- 8:47Speaker 1: it's over. Liz Cheney lost her reelection bid because she
- 8:52Speaker 1: bought into the big lie. Some say she'll be remembered
- 8:56Speaker 1: as a hero among cowards. Others say she's well a
- 9:01Speaker 1: liar among heroes. She said, at the cost of standing
- 9:06Speaker 1: out for the constitutions, losing the House seat, then that's
- 9:08Speaker 1: the price I'm willing to pay. America cannot remain free
- 9:11Speaker 1: if we abandon the truth. The lie that the twenty
- 9:15Speaker 1: president election was stolen is insidious. It preys on those
- 9:20Speaker 1: who love their country. It is a door Donald Trump
- 9:23Speaker 1: opened to manipulate Americans to abandon their principles and sacrifice
- 9:27Speaker 1: and freedom to justify violence, to ignore the ruling of
- 9:30Speaker 1: our courts and the rule of law. That is the
- 9:33Speaker 1: famous quote, now, they'd say from Liz Cheney. And she
- 9:36Speaker 1: said she was going to make sure that he was
- 9:39Speaker 1: never back in that oval office. So then she goes
- 9:44Speaker 1: nuts after losing the election and decides that she's like
- 9:47Speaker 1: some sort of I don't know, historical figure comparing herself
- 9:52Speaker 1: to Abraham Lincoln. Yeah, she's been mocked now after comparing
- 9:57Speaker 1: herself to former President Abraham lincol and after her blowout
- 10:01Speaker 1: loss in the Wyoming Republican primary for the state's at
- 10:03Speaker 1: large seat with more than ninety five percent of votes counted,
- 10:07Speaker 1: Chenney loss by more than a two to one margin,
- 10:10Speaker 1: sixty six point three percent to twenty eight point nine percent.
- 10:14Speaker 1: And how much of the twenty eight point nine percent
- 10:16Speaker 1: were actually Democrats who switched over to be Republicans. We
- 10:19Speaker 1: may never know. I love this tonight. Harriet Hagman has
- 10:25Speaker 1: received the most votes in this primary. She won, Chenney
- 10:27Speaker 1: said during her speech, following your loss, I called her
- 10:29Speaker 1: to concede the race. This primary election is over, but
- 10:32Speaker 1: now the real work begins. Jenny then proceeded to compare
- 10:35Speaker 1: herself to Abraham Lincoln and the Union General Grant, who
- 10:42Speaker 1: later went on to become America's eighteenth president. She said, quote,
- 10:46Speaker 1: the great and original champion of our party, Abraham Lincoln,
- 10:49Speaker 1: was defeated in elections for the Senate and the House
- 10:52Speaker 1: before he won the most important election of all. Lincoln
- 10:55Speaker 1: ultimately prevailed. He saved our union. He defined our obligation
- 11:00Speaker 1: as Americans for all of history. Several minutes later, Chenney
- 11:04Speaker 1: continued saying, quote. In May of eighteen sixty four, after
- 11:08Speaker 1: years of war in a string of reluctant Union generals,
- 11:12Speaker 1: Grant met General Lee's forces at the Battle of the Wilderness.
- 11:16Speaker 1: In two days of heavy fighting, the Union suffered seventeen
- 11:19Speaker 1: thousand casualties, Chenney continued. At the end of the battle,
- 11:22Speaker 1: General Grant faced a choice. Most assumed he would do
- 11:25Speaker 1: what previous Union generals had done and retreat. On the
- 11:29Speaker 1: evening of May the seventh, Grant began to move as
- 11:33Speaker 1: the fires of the battles still smoldered. Grant road to
- 11:36Speaker 1: the head of the column. He rode to the intersection
- 11:40Speaker 1: of Brock Road and Orange Plant Road, and there as
- 11:44Speaker 1: the men of his army, Washington waited. Instead of turning
- 11:47Speaker 1: north towards Washington safety, Grant turned his horses south towards
- 11:51Speaker 1: Richmond in the heart of Lee's army. Refusing to retreat,
- 11:55Speaker 1: he pressed on to victory. Lincoln and Grant and all
- 11:58Speaker 1: who fought in our nation's tragic Civil War, including my
- 12:01Speaker 1: own great great grandfather, saved our union. Cheney immediately was
- 12:05Speaker 1: mocked on social media following her blow at loss to Hagman,
- 12:09Speaker 1: as many conservatives especially took issue with her link in comparison.
- 12:14Speaker 1: One said Liz Chenney tried to make herself a martyr
- 12:16Speaker 1: at the expense of our country and our party. That's
- 12:19Speaker 1: what Wesley Hunter, Republican Kenne for Congress tweeted, saying comparing
- 12:22Speaker 1: yourself to Lincoln doesn't change that the comparison is tone
- 12:26Speaker 1: death and ridiculous. As her seat on the January sixth
- 12:28Speaker 1: committee was. Another conservative talk show host a friend of
- 12:32Speaker 1: mine tweeted out, Abraham Lincoln has a better shout at
- 12:35Speaker 1: becoming president in twenty twenty four than Liz Cheney. Liz
- 12:40Speaker 1: has a very inflative view of herself. That's what a
- 12:43Speaker 1: long time ESPN reporter tweeted out. Another said, number one
- 12:48Speaker 1: dropping ads across Wyoming against Liz Chenney was one of
- 12:51Speaker 1: the most fulfilling professional task I've done. To Dayton Politics.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Florida GOP vice chairman Christian Zegor tweeted this, no chances
- 13:00Speaker 1: this woman has a shot at President case at two
- 13:03Speaker 1: point zero dot three. This should sunset the Chenness from
- 13:07Speaker 1: any more politics, thankfully. Actor Dean came said, you're not
- 13:12Speaker 1: Abraham Lincoln. However, Yeah, yeah, you're just like Abraham Lincoln,
- 13:18Speaker 1: you piece of trash. Another attorney said, firing back at
- 13:22Speaker 1: Liz Chenny. Absolute delusional. Conservative commentator Ali bass Stucky tweeted
- 13:27Speaker 1: out after she referred to herself as Abraham Lincoln. Here's
- 13:32Speaker 1: what I'll say. I am glad. I mean this sincerely.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I am thankful that she is done. I am thankful
- 13:41Speaker 1: that she lost. I am thankful that it's over. It's
- 13:45Speaker 1: about time. And she has done everything she can to
- 13:49Speaker 1: undermine She has done everything she can to attack conservatives.
- 13:54Speaker 1: She has done everything she can to undermine Republicans and
- 13:57Speaker 1: anyone around Donald Trump. And this is what happens when
- 14:00Speaker 1: you do that, when you're a useful idiot for the
- 14:03Speaker 1: left and we get to expose it, you lose seventy thirty,
- 14:06Speaker 1: which is basically what happened. And a lot of the
- 14:08Speaker 1: people that voted for you were Democrats who switched over.
- 14:12Speaker 1: So I'd love to know what the real numbers are.
- 14:13Speaker 1: It could be eighty twenty. And for a sitting member
- 14:16Speaker 1: of Congress to get beat down this way, I'm sorry.
- 14:18Speaker 1: She deserved every bit of it. So congratulations the people
- 14:22Speaker 1: of Wyoming. You now finally get someone who's willing to
- 14:25Speaker 1: represent you, not their own personal interests. Now here's the
- 14:30Speaker 1: best part. For a woman that claims it's all about
- 14:33Speaker 1: the future and democracy and everything else, right like this is,
- 14:36Speaker 1: you would think that she would be totally cool with this,
- 14:38Speaker 1: But this morning she went on the Today Show because
- 14:42Speaker 1: she's going to get a job as a commentator somewhere
- 14:45Speaker 1: right away, because she's a useful idiot. This morning, you know,
- 14:50Speaker 1: and when she was doing this interview, it's like three
- 14:51Speaker 1: in the morning where she was in Wyoming. This is
- 14:54Speaker 1: what she had to say about Donald Trump. Listen, and
- 14:57Speaker 1: I'm remembering back to when we had an interview back
- 15:00Speaker 1: twenty twenty one when you lost your leadership position. I said,
- 15:02Speaker 1: they are coming after you. President Trump wants to go
- 15:05Speaker 1: to Wyoming, and take you on in the primary, and
- 15:09Speaker 1: you said, bring it on. What they did, and here
- 15:12Speaker 1: we are and you lost. How do you feel about that? Now?
- 15:16Speaker 1: What's your response today? Well, look, I think you know,
- 15:20Speaker 1: as we've talked about before, I won my primary by
- 15:23Speaker 1: seventy three percentage points two years ago. The path to
- 15:26Speaker 1: that same victory would have been very easy. It was
- 15:29Speaker 1: clear how that path would go. But that path would
- 15:32Speaker 1: have required that I accept that I embrace that I
- 15:36Speaker 1: perpetuate the big lie. And I've been very clear at
- 15:40Speaker 1: every moment since January sixth that there are some things
- 15:44Speaker 1: that have got to be above politics. That there's no
- 15:48Speaker 1: political office that's more important than the principles that we
- 15:52Speaker 1: take an oath to defend. And I believe that Donald
- 15:56Speaker 1: Trump continues to pose a very grave threat and to
- 16:00Speaker 1: our republic, and I think that defeating him is going
- 16:03Speaker 1: to require abroad and united front of Republicans, Democrats, and independents,
- 16:09Speaker 1: and that's what I intend to be part of. Back
- 16:12Speaker 1: to a moment for your race. We all know the
- 16:15Speaker 1: old adage all politics as local, and in focus groups
- 16:18Speaker 1: and interviews with reporters, many Wyoming voters said that you
- 16:21Speaker 1: had lost your way. You went Washington, and you were
- 16:24Speaker 1: focused too much on Trump and not the issues that
- 16:26Speaker 1: they cared about. One poll showed sixty one percent of
- 16:28Speaker 1: likely Republican voters there said you weren't focused on Wyoming issues.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Was that the issue? Did you have the wrong focus? No? Look,
- 16:38Speaker 1: I think I'm very proud of everything that I accomplished,
- 16:42Speaker 1: that we accomplished together with the voters of Wyoming over
- 16:44Speaker 1: the last nearly six years. But it became very clear
- 16:48Speaker 1: after Donald Trump attacked the capital, sent a mob to
- 16:52Speaker 1: attack the capitol, refused to accept the results of the election,
- 16:55Speaker 1: refused to tell his supporters to leave the capital when
- 16:59Speaker 1: the assault was under way, that this was a threat
- 17:02Speaker 1: that we've never faced before. He crossed the line that
- 17:04Speaker 1: couldn't be crossed. And and as a nation, you don't
- 17:07Speaker 1: get the opportunity to debate and discuss any other issue
- 17:11Speaker 1: if you simply turn your head away from that kind
- 17:14Speaker 1: of a fundamental threat on our Republican point of facts.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Republican leader Kevin McCarthy did consider this a referendum on
- 17:21Speaker 1: your work on January sixth, President, I love it. Right Now,
- 17:26Speaker 1: here's the other part. CNN this morning's already running an
- 17:28Speaker 1: article that is saying, let's Chaney for president twenty twenty four.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Run as a Democrat. Right, if you're thinking about running
- 17:35Speaker 1: about for president, I mean, they don't even miss a beat.
- 17:37Speaker 1: You get beat seventy thirty in your election, and then
- 17:39Speaker 1: immediately the meedy is like, wow, you know you've got
- 17:42Speaker 1: to be looking at running for president? Right? How do
- 17:44Speaker 1: you you lose a congressional seat seventy to thirty your
- 17:48Speaker 1: state rejection, You're like, let's talk about you running for president. Listen,
- 17:52Speaker 1: the former president said last night, you're now headed to
- 17:54Speaker 1: political oblivion. You said, this fight is just beginning. You've
- 17:57Speaker 1: even launched a political organization already, So let's just be
- 18:01Speaker 1: straight about it. Are you considering running for president yourself? Well,
- 18:05Speaker 1: what I'm going to do, Savannah, is spend the next
- 18:08Speaker 1: several months completing my work in Congress, obviously completing my
- 18:12Speaker 1: work representing the people of Wyoming. We have a tremendous
- 18:15Speaker 1: amount of work left to do on the January sixth Committee.
- 18:18Speaker 1: And also though I'm going to be making sure that
- 18:21Speaker 1: people all around this country understand the stakes of what
- 18:24Speaker 1: we're facing, understand the extent to which we've now got
- 18:28Speaker 1: one major political party. My party, which has really become
- 18:32Speaker 1: a cult of personality, and we've got to get this
- 18:35Speaker 1: party back to a place where we're embracing the values
- 18:38Speaker 1: and the principles on which it was founded and talking about,
- 18:42Speaker 1: you know, fundamental issues of civics, fundamental issues of what
- 18:46Speaker 1: does it mean to be a constitutional republic. But Congressman,
- 18:49Speaker 1: you didn't answer me Donald Trump. I will be doing
- 18:53Speaker 1: whatever it takes to keep Donald Trump out of the overlaw. Well,
- 18:55Speaker 1: I know you didn't say yes or no, and that's
- 18:57Speaker 1: fine if you're thinking about it. But are you thinking
- 18:59Speaker 1: about it? Are you thinking about running for president? That's
- 19:03Speaker 1: a decision that I'm going to make in the in
- 19:05Speaker 1: the coming months. To Dan, I'm not going to make
- 19:07Speaker 1: any announcements here this morning, but but it is something
- 19:09Speaker 1: that I'm thinking about and I'll make a decision in
- 19:12Speaker 1: the coming month. Yeah, I love this. Right, So you
- 19:14Speaker 1: just got your brains beat in Yes, Okay, So now
- 19:16Speaker 1: what are you gonna do? I'm going to run for president, right,
- 19:19Speaker 1: That's what I'm gonna do. I'm thinking I'm thinking about
- 19:20Speaker 1: running for president. Like it's a pretty you know, I
- 19:23Speaker 1: think that's what's going to happen. And if you want
- 19:25Speaker 1: to know why she's going to run for president. She said,
- 19:28Speaker 1: the Republican Party today is in very bad shape. Right
- 19:31Speaker 1: that you get your brains beat in seventy thirty and
- 19:34Speaker 1: this is how delusional the elitists are in DC listen
- 19:38Speaker 1: or backing them. You are now the latest House Republican
- 19:41Speaker 1: who had cross party lines and voted to impeach President
- 19:44Speaker 1: Trump to not me retaining your seat. Only two have
- 19:49Speaker 1: one in their primaries. You know, people talk about the
- 19:52Speaker 1: battle for the soul of the Republican Party. You have
- 19:54Speaker 1: said there's a time for choosing whether we're loyal to
- 19:57Speaker 1: the Constitution or loyal to Trump, and we must Has
- 20:00Speaker 1: that choice been made by Republicans fundamentally. Look, I think
- 20:05Speaker 1: the Republican Party today is in very bad shape, and
- 20:10Speaker 1: I think that we have a tremendous amount of work
- 20:12Speaker 1: to do. I think it could take several election cycles,
- 20:15Speaker 1: but the country has got to have a Republican party
- 20:19Speaker 1: that's actually based on substance, based on principles, you know,
- 20:23Speaker 1: based on a belief in limited government and low taxes
- 20:27Speaker 1: and a strong national defense, belief that the party that
- 20:30Speaker 1: the family has got to be the center of our
- 20:33Speaker 1: community and of our lives, and those are the principles
- 20:36Speaker 1: I believe in. That's what the party used to stand for,
- 20:39Speaker 1: and we've got to get the party back to that.
- 20:41Speaker 1: A party that is instead embraced Donald Trump embraced is
- 20:47Speaker 1: called the personality is looking the other way as he
- 20:49Speaker 1: continues to do things like put out the names of
- 20:53Speaker 1: FBI agents just in the last few days, when he
- 20:56Speaker 1: knows that our law enforcement is the target of islands,
- 21:01Speaker 1: put out the lies that he has put out in
- 21:02Speaker 1: the last few days about what happened in its search
- 21:06Speaker 1: warrant execution at mar Lagoum. Every Republican, every American should
- 21:10Speaker 1: reject those and I certainly know there are millions of
- 21:13Speaker 1: Republicans and Americans across this country who will. And finally,
- 21:17Speaker 1: in the moments we have word on the street was
- 21:18Speaker 1: that you and your team were fond of an editorial
- 21:21Speaker 1: recently that like I still love this right, like we're
- 21:25Speaker 1: gonna give her a grand invitation. You lose seventy thirty,
- 21:30Speaker 1: do you have the new candidate on that one? No,
- 21:33Speaker 1: you have the candidate on that lost. And when she loses,
- 21:37Speaker 1: right when she loses, you bring her on and you say,
- 21:42Speaker 1: tell us about yourself, tell us what you think. This
- 21:44Speaker 1: means Republican Party is in bad shape. Right. I also
- 21:49Speaker 1: laugh last night because you can see the eulogy happening, right,
- 21:52Speaker 1: And I told you, sug get a TV job out
- 21:54Speaker 1: of this. CNN's on limit. Imply legit, you can easily
- 21:57Speaker 1: get a paid TV gig, right, and said, there isn't
- 22:00Speaker 1: a network quote who will turn her down because when
- 22:02Speaker 1: you attack Donald Trump, you get paid to do it.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Every fake Republican that I had to work with at CNN,
- 22:09Speaker 1: if you were willing to turn on Donald Trump, you
- 22:14Speaker 1: would become a darling of CNN. Right, Sam at MSNBC,
- 22:19Speaker 1: If you'll become a useful idiot member the former Republican
- 22:23Speaker 1: Chairman of the National Party is over at MSNBC ripping
- 22:27Speaker 1: on Trump every day. You'll make a killing. If you'll
- 22:29Speaker 1: just rip on Donald Trump. That's all you gotta do.
- 22:32Speaker 1: You say, hey, I'm a Republican, here's my resume. I'll
- 22:36Speaker 1: attack Donald Trump, and they'll pay you hundreds of thousands
- 22:39Speaker 1: of dollars and they will make you famous because you're
- 22:42Speaker 1: a useful idiot. And listen and list Jenny will be
- 22:45Speaker 1: the next listen the Republican Party. I mean not that
- 22:48Speaker 1: we didn't know this before, but this is one more
- 22:50Speaker 1: data point, a big data point. When you see that
- 22:54Speaker 1: A Cheney lost so big in Wyoming and it is
- 23:02Speaker 1: Trump's party. I mean, that's just what it says, and
- 23:04Speaker 1: it said it for for a long time. But I
- 23:07Speaker 1: do think when we're looking at like what's next and
- 23:09Speaker 1: where does she take this from here, I think that
- 23:12Speaker 1: we need to think about the term campaign in a
- 23:15Speaker 1: non traditional way because we think about campaign as I'm
- 23:19Speaker 1: running for office or uh, you know, I want this
- 23:23Speaker 1: to happen. I want this for myself. And I'm not
- 23:26Speaker 1: saying that she's not. You know, she is a politician
- 23:29Speaker 1: and she wants to have m a say in public discourse.
- 23:35Speaker 1: But she also is a very famous person who will
- 23:39Speaker 1: use her megaphone and her platform to keep saying the
- 23:42Speaker 1: kind of thing that she said, and she will get attention.
- 23:44Speaker 1: She will get a lot of attention. So we'll see
- 23:48Speaker 1: and and and there is there isn't a network who
- 23:51Speaker 1: will turn her down, and she right if she offers
- 23:53Speaker 1: or she wants to come on so she'll be able
- 23:55Speaker 1: to discuss all of it right there. It is, there's
- 23:59Speaker 1: not a network. She's got a she's very famous folks,
- 24:03Speaker 1: So you should listen to her, not because of her ideas,
- 24:05Speaker 1: but because she's famous. She's so famous, you gotta understand
- 24:09Speaker 1: how famous she is. She's going to have a very
- 24:12Speaker 1: large microphone. She's very famous. She's Liz Cheney, and she's
- 24:16Speaker 1: very famous, folks, very very famous. On TV, they're saying
- 24:22Speaker 1: she's an amazing hero and she's going to do everything
- 24:25Speaker 1: she can. Tiger Carlson, by the way, just sometimes knows,
- 24:29Speaker 1: I think how to really rub it in and bring
- 24:33Speaker 1: up a point, and he said this about Liz Cheney.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Liz Chenney has made a lot of money being a congresswoman.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Take a listen how listening gets so rich. She's been
- 24:42Speaker 1: a member of Congress for six years now. So when
- 24:45Speaker 1: she took office in twenty seventeen, her net worth was
- 24:47Speaker 1: estimated at seven million dollars, which is a lot for
- 24:50Speaker 1: someone with no skills, but that's what she had. Now
- 24:53Speaker 1: she's worth more than forty four million dollars, according to
- 24:56Speaker 1: Center for Response to Politics, which looked at her financial
- 24:58Speaker 1: disclosure forms. Now, probably an honest explanation for all of this.
- 25:01Speaker 1: We're not accusing her of robbing liquor stores, but you
- 25:04Speaker 1: have to wonder how did Liz Cheney ank more than
- 25:07Speaker 1: thirty six million dollars and six years of public service.
- 25:10Speaker 1: That's six million a year. Huh, good gig. She didn't
- 25:15Speaker 1: report any earned income gifts her transactions in her disclosure
- 25:18Speaker 1: from her top listed assets were City Bank three million
- 25:20Speaker 1: dollars and money from her husband's law from Lathman Watkins
- 25:23Speaker 1: also three million. It's also money from a family trust.
- 25:26Speaker 1: We assume that accounted for a lot of the cash,
- 25:27Speaker 1: but we don't know. Whatever the case, it's not Wyoming's
- 25:31Speaker 1: problem anymore. After tonight, Liz Cheney is going back to
- 25:35Speaker 1: where she's actually from, suburban Virginia, probably running for president too,
- 25:38Speaker 1: and we look forward to that. Seven million dollars a
- 25:42Speaker 1: year is how much money she was making every year
- 25:45Speaker 1: she was in Congress. Right, And this is why you
- 25:49Speaker 1: compare yourself to Abraham Lincoln. I guess listen, the great
- 25:53Speaker 1: and original champion of our party, Abraham Lincoln was defeated
- 25:58Speaker 1: in elections for the Senate the House before he won
- 26:01Speaker 1: the most important election of all. Lincoln ultimately prevailed. He
- 26:06Speaker 1: saved our union, and he defined our obligation as Americans
- 26:11Speaker 1: for all of history. Speaking at Gettysburg. Of the great
- 26:15Speaker 1: task remaining before us, Lincoln said that we here highly
- 26:21Speaker 1: resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain,
- 26:25Speaker 1: that this nation under God shall have a new birth
- 26:28Speaker 1: of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people,
- 26:32Speaker 1: and for the people shall not perish from this earth.
- 26:36Speaker 1: As we meet here tonight, that remains our greatest and
- 26:39Speaker 1: most important task. Most of world history is a story
- 26:43Speaker 1: of violent conflict, of servitude and suffering. Most people, in
- 26:48Speaker 1: most places have not lived in freedom. Our American freedom
- 26:53Speaker 1: is a providential departure from history. We are the exception.
- 26:58Speaker 1: We have been given the gift of freedom by God
- 27:00Speaker 1: and our founding fathers. It has been said that the
- 27:04Speaker 1: long arc of history bends toward justice and freedom. That's true,
- 27:09Speaker 1: but only if we make it bend. Today. Our highest
- 27:14Speaker 1: duty is to bend the arc of history, to preserve
- 27:17Speaker 1: our nation and its blessings, to ensure that freedom will
- 27:21Speaker 1: not perish, to protect the very foundations of this constitutional republic.
- 27:27Speaker 1: There it is right, This is this is our freedoms.
- 27:30Speaker 1: This is how we roll, This is how things get better. Right.
- 27:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna and I'm gonna run for president. I lost
- 27:36Speaker 1: the last election by seventy percent, But I will not
- 27:39Speaker 1: be You know, if Abraham Lincoln thinks getting a little
- 27:44Speaker 1: bit old. Just to give you some comparisons, everybody, everybody
- 27:48Speaker 1: is like now into Abraham Lincoln. MSNBC compare the NFL
- 27:52Speaker 1: protesters to Abraham Lincoln. Thing that you guys can give
- 27:55Speaker 1: it to us, what a Republican you're rich, you should
- 27:59Speaker 1: shut up. Well, then if you're the Party of Lincoln,
- 28:02Speaker 1: then how then how could then how does new Gingridge
- 28:05Speaker 1: justify that Abraham Lincoln fought to free slaves he didn't
- 28:08Speaker 1: need to do that. Well, look to hop goblin of
- 28:14Speaker 1: little minds according to him. No, but this is this
- 28:17Speaker 1: is extradinary, and I think this is one of these issues.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Like so much in the Trump presidency, it's just been
- 28:22Speaker 1: such a surfacer and revealer of character. I mean, on
- 28:26Speaker 1: some fundamental issues. I can't say. In the case of
- 28:30Speaker 1: new Gingridge, I'm particularly surprised by where he's where he's
- 28:33Speaker 1: coming out, because I think his character has been well
- 28:35Speaker 1: known for at least twenty or twenty five years. But
- 28:38Speaker 1: that kind of comment is just so extraordinary because there's
- 28:41Speaker 1: the only way to see it is as a racially
- 28:43Speaker 1: motivated comment. He would never say about an American who's
- 28:47Speaker 1: done well in this world, a hedge fund billionaire, you
- 28:51Speaker 1: should shut up because you're rich. I mean, that would
- 28:54Speaker 1: be he would say, Well, that's a view of the left.
- 28:56Speaker 1: You know, progressives are telling rich people that they don't
- 28:58Speaker 1: have a right to free speech. But it so that
- 29:00Speaker 1: you have an African American who might have made money
- 29:02Speaker 1: and they are supposed to stay silent. We got to
- 29:04Speaker 1: move on. I love this. Right, everybody's about Abraham Lincoln
- 29:07Speaker 1: now on the left. Right, everybody wants to talk about
- 29:10Speaker 1: Abraham Lincoln. Well, I tell Lincoln this and link in
- 29:13Speaker 1: that and Lincoln that, and she's going to run for president,
- 29:17Speaker 1: and the media is going to rally around her, right,
- 29:21Speaker 1: I mean that's why she that's why she says, I'm
- 29:23Speaker 1: like Abraham Lincoln. Right, I am right, you know, Abraham Lincoln.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I am the Abraham Lincoln. Right. Another they call her
- 29:34Speaker 1: today tonight a truth teller. That was the other line
- 29:37Speaker 1: they kept using. This is a this is a truth
- 29:41Speaker 1: telling moment right there. It lives Cheney right, there's nothing
- 29:46Speaker 1: more than defense of our constitution. But I'll let democrats
- 29:48Speaker 1: run them buck and destroy our constitution. Why I claim this.
- 29:50Speaker 1: You you not talking as much about when their president
- 29:59Speaker 1: is taking might give a we'll get more Republicans. Regrets
- 30:02Speaker 1: on that, I have no regrets. I feel very proud
- 30:06Speaker 1: about all the work that I've done together with people
- 30:08Speaker 1: Wyoming over the last six years and really understand and
- 30:12Speaker 1: recognize there's nothing more important in the defense of our constitution,
- 30:15Speaker 1: and so I'm going to continue to work and ensure
- 30:18Speaker 1: that we're doing that in a way that is nonpartisan.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I love it, by the way, Dick Cheney's right next
- 30:22Speaker 1: to her when she's saying that. And look, everybody's getting older.
- 30:26Speaker 1: I'm getting older. Shoot, I hit forty this year, right,
- 30:28Speaker 1: But I mean he's just sitting there and it's like
- 30:31Speaker 1: you can see the terror in his eyes that his
- 30:33Speaker 1: daughter is going to lose. And then she did. But
- 30:36Speaker 1: don't worry. We're going to run for present, right, because
- 30:38Speaker 1: that's how we roll. This is what you're dealing with
- 30:40Speaker 1: with the left. This is it all right. Lastly, please
