- 2:02Speaker 1: I show will a good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well, nothing changes about that.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Nothing changes about that. Man. I was just so getting
- 2:18Speaker 1: ready to come on air this morning, and I was
- 2:23Speaker 1: just thinking, man, I was just having a reflective moment
- 2:27Speaker 1: of just how really good God has been to me.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I just it's it's it's man. Let me just say
- 2:36Speaker 1: that again, how really good God has been to me.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And here's a cold part. In spite of myself, you understand,
- 2:46Speaker 1: in spite of all my shortcomings, in spite of all
- 2:50Speaker 1: of my flaws, and and and and and and in
- 2:55Speaker 1: spite of all of what anybody has said about me,
- 2:58Speaker 1: yea God, through his grace and mercy, just keeps me
- 3:02Speaker 1: anyway as always. You know I was. I get taught
- 3:06Speaker 1: things by people who know a whole lot more than
- 3:08Speaker 1: I do. And Bishop TV Jakes is one of my
- 3:11Speaker 1: favorite teachers. He's just one of my favorite people. He
- 3:15Speaker 1: happens to be a friend of mine too. I mean,
- 3:17Speaker 1: he's always there for me when I don't have anywhere
- 3:20Speaker 1: else to turn, you know what I mean? He said,
- 3:25Speaker 1: he was talking about the thing that he was calling exceptionalism,
- 3:30Speaker 1: and what it was all about was so many of
- 3:34Speaker 1: us are exceptional people, but we refuse to just go
- 3:42Speaker 1: ahead and be exceptional. We we settle for the ordinary.
- 3:48Speaker 1: We followed the pack. We try to fit in. Man,
- 3:53Speaker 1: oh man, oh man. You know, I've heard my wife
- 3:55Speaker 1: say this to my children all the time when she
- 3:58Speaker 1: was scolding and talk it to him. She'd be talking
- 4:01Speaker 1: to him about leadership. You know, why are you following
- 4:04Speaker 1: everybody when God clearly made you to lead? You know,
- 4:07Speaker 1: she talks to him about that all the time. So
- 4:09Speaker 1: many of us are born, and so many of you
- 4:12Speaker 1: are born to be exceptional people, but we always trying
- 4:17Speaker 1: to follow the pack, always trying to be a follower,
- 4:23Speaker 1: always trying to fit in, when clearly you were born
- 4:28Speaker 1: to be exceptional. And one of the things he was
- 4:32Speaker 1: talking about. I'm paraphrasing all this now because I gotta
- 4:34Speaker 1: get it into the way that I can tell it
- 4:36Speaker 1: to you. Because he's such a gifted speaker man, that's
- 4:39Speaker 1: he has, He's at another level. So I'm trying to
- 4:42Speaker 1: paraphrases to get you to wordes where you can understand this.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Why would you try to fit in? Why would you
- 4:49Speaker 1: try to be uh like everybody else be ordinary? Why
- 4:55Speaker 1: would you follow the pack when God has created you
- 4:58Speaker 1: to be exceptional? You know that the key word in
- 5:04Speaker 1: exceptional is except you. Ever you ever done this right here?
- 5:09Speaker 1: You know, everybody did that except me. Everybody felt that
- 5:13Speaker 1: way except me. Everybody said that except me. Everybody won't
- 5:20Speaker 1: wanted that except me. Everybody went over that except me.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Everybody jumped in except me except me. See why have
- 5:33Speaker 1: you saying that in your life if you were not
- 5:35Speaker 1: to be exceptional? See you got to say everybody except
- 5:40Speaker 1: me at one point in you two, I don't know
- 5:42Speaker 1: who ain't done it. You know everybody wanted everybody voted
- 5:46Speaker 1: no except me. See, so you're you're not You're not
- 5:51Speaker 1: created to follow the pack. You ain't created to fit in.
- 5:54Speaker 1: You ain't created to, uh, you know, to be ordinary.
- 5:58Speaker 1: You were created to be exceptional, as exceptional as your
- 6:02Speaker 1: fingerprint on your finger is. You were created to be exceptional.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Why not make this the year that you go head
- 6:11Speaker 1: on and be exceptional? Why won't this be the year
- 6:15Speaker 1: that you decide in your mind? But just has to
- 6:18Speaker 1: be a decision that we make. Now we're not following
- 6:20Speaker 1: the pack no more. We're not trying to fit in
- 6:24Speaker 1: no more. We ain't settling for ordinary no more. We're
- 6:27Speaker 1: gonna be exceptional. But you know, you got you got
- 6:31Speaker 1: to go ahead and follow that. You got to get
- 6:33Speaker 1: on the exceptional path because that's what you were created for.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Why be ordinary? You know? But all of this, this
- 6:39Speaker 1: comes to it has to start with a thought. You
- 6:43Speaker 1: got to first think something thought to become things. A
- 6:48Speaker 1: man is as he thinketh that's all you will ever be.
- 6:53Speaker 1: So what are your thoughts today? Why not have exceptional
- 6:56Speaker 1: thoughts instead of ordinary thoughts? Why not have exceptional thoughts
- 7:00Speaker 1: instead of fitting me in thoughts? So why you want
- 7:03Speaker 1: to be like everybody else. Why you want to be
- 7:05Speaker 1: ordinary when you could possibly be extraordinary with a change
- 7:10Speaker 1: of your mind, a change of your venue, And you
- 7:13Speaker 1: don't have to be any other kind of way just
- 7:16Speaker 1: because my mama was this way, my daddy was this way,
- 7:19Speaker 1: or this the school I went to? This? What race
- 7:22Speaker 1: I belong to? This is my sexual preference, this is
- 7:25Speaker 1: my this, this is my dad one? Why? How many?
- 7:27Speaker 1: How many? How many excuses you need? I'm an excuse? What? What? What? What? You?
- 7:32Speaker 1: What's it gonna be this year that we let another
- 7:35Speaker 1: three hundred and sixty five days slipped by without improving
- 7:39Speaker 1: our condition, our place, our spot, our life, the quality
- 7:44Speaker 1: of life we have. We cannot afford to keep letting
- 7:49Speaker 1: all these years go by without changing. You're an exceptional person.
- 7:56Speaker 1: How many times have you set up and said, everybody
- 7:59Speaker 1: did that except me? You know I was only everybody
- 8:03Speaker 1: jumped in accept me. I told him I knew it.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Everybody voted for that, accept me, And now look at it, man,
- 8:12Speaker 1: it seemed like everybody went that way except me. Okay,
- 8:17Speaker 1: do you get it? Do? Do? Do you understand what's
- 8:21Speaker 1: being said to you that don't accept me is because
- 8:25Speaker 1: couldn't it be because you're an exceptional person, and it's
- 8:29Speaker 1: time for you to take control of that. It's time
- 8:31Speaker 1: for you to start thinking different. It's time for you
- 8:34Speaker 1: to start acting on what you think. It's time for
- 8:37Speaker 1: you to start doing something about it. It's time for
- 8:39Speaker 1: you to stop taking each and every day that God
- 8:42Speaker 1: gives us for granted and letting them go by the wayside.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Like you got plenty more. Well, you may have plenty
- 8:48Speaker 1: of more, but guess what what you're wasting the ones
- 8:51Speaker 1: you got for I got you young, and you and
- 8:55Speaker 1: you feel like you're gonna live forever. Okay, cool, But
- 8:58Speaker 1: let me ask you something. See here here, here go
- 9:01Speaker 1: the part about suppose you do live? See see everybody
- 9:04Speaker 1: willing about dying. But I got news for you. Suppose
- 9:07Speaker 1: you keep on living. You want to keep living in
- 9:09Speaker 1: the condition you in now. You want to keep living
- 9:12Speaker 1: with the money you got now. You want to keep
- 9:14Speaker 1: living with the relationship you got now. You want to
- 9:17Speaker 1: keep living by yourself like you are now. You want
- 9:20Speaker 1: to keep wanting the right relationship, the right man and
- 9:22Speaker 1: the right woman, but you keep getting the wrong one.
- 9:24Speaker 1: You want to keep doing that for the rest of
- 9:27Speaker 1: your life. Problem ain't dying. It's problems if you keep
- 9:29Speaker 1: on living. Who wants to keep on living just the
- 9:33Speaker 1: way they are right now? And if you could say
- 9:36Speaker 1: I'm cool, what I am? Just the way I am
- 9:38Speaker 1: right now in cool, this conversation ain't for you. I
- 9:40Speaker 1: ain't got no problem with that, you know, you know
- 9:43Speaker 1: what I say. Greatness ain't for everybody. Being exceptional ain't
- 9:47Speaker 1: for everybody. Becoming extraordinary ain't for everybody. Heck, becoming successful
- 9:53Speaker 1: ain't for everybody. I got it. And you can come
- 9:56Speaker 1: up with a way to justify your non existence and
- 9:59Speaker 1: your ordinary in life all you want, and that's finding dandy.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I ain't got no problem with it. Because some people
- 10:05Speaker 1: just gonna be regular. Some people just gonna follow the pack,
- 10:09Speaker 1: follow the crowd. Some people just wants to fit in.
- 10:13Speaker 1: But if you're not that person, if you want to
- 10:15Speaker 1: be extraordinary, if you want to be exceptional, if you
- 10:19Speaker 1: want to be if you want to dad to be
- 10:20Speaker 1: great at something, and you got to change your mind set.
- 10:24Speaker 1: You got to get with your creat and find out
- 10:26Speaker 1: what he created you fault. You gotta quit thinking of
- 10:29Speaker 1: things just in your own thought process, you know, lean
- 10:32Speaker 1: not to your own understanding. I don't know where that is,
- 10:35Speaker 1: but it's in there somewhere. Seeing. Once you lean, if
- 10:38Speaker 1: you lean to your own understanding, you know what it's
- 10:40Speaker 1: gonna do. It's gonna limit you, man, it's gonna limit you.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Why not see what God God for you. I would
- 10:47Speaker 1: rather know what God got for me than to think
- 10:49Speaker 1: of all the things I could because I can't out
- 10:52Speaker 1: think him out and tried it before. All right, it's
- 10:54Speaker 1: just the beginning. We're gonna have a good one. Man.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Let's go show uh, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls

- 14:46Speaker 1: know you cut it on. We'll be back with more
- 14:49Speaker 1: crazy crazy after you're listening Steve Morning Show. All right,
- 14:57Speaker 1: here we go with something funny. Special guests. Crazy man
- 15:00Speaker 1: still in the building. This is a story about marriage.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Though um signs a marriage is doomed according this is
- 15:07Speaker 1: according now Jay to wedding photographers. Okay, there's no doubt
- 15:12Speaker 1: wedding photographers have seen it. All right, we all hired
- 15:16Speaker 1: wedding photographers was that the police? Yeah, you called the police,
- 15:26Speaker 1: sirens and stuff, all right. Anyway, Wedding photographers have seen
- 15:30Speaker 1: it all, and since they spend a lot of time
- 15:32Speaker 1: getting to know a couple before a big day, many
- 15:35Speaker 1: can see the signs of a doomed relationship even before
- 15:38Speaker 1: the IDEs, even before they're even said okay. Wedding photographers
- 15:43Speaker 1: have shared the red flags that tell them a couple
- 15:45Speaker 1: maybe headed for divorce. Red flags include here we go,
- 15:49Speaker 1: a partner who's completely uninterested in taking the pictures in
- 15:54Speaker 1: the first place, could be already marriage. A couple who
- 16:01Speaker 1: doesn't spend any time together at a reception. All right,
- 16:05Speaker 1: that's another second. That's another reds with her family, he's
- 16:10Speaker 1: with his family. You know how it goes. Yeah, here's
- 16:15Speaker 1: another one. And couples who aren't on the same page
- 16:17Speaker 1: over money. That's definitely a red flags, man. All right.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Here's another issue. If a couple has between a twenty
- 16:28Speaker 1: and twenty five percent rejection rate plus in fighting amongst
- 16:32Speaker 1: the wedding party. Wow, yeah, and other people said that
- 16:38Speaker 1: he's not good for you and she's not good for you.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Your friends said you shouldn't beat it with and a
- 16:45Speaker 1: couple of couple who makes you know, like little tiny
- 16:48Speaker 1: little bit he subtle digs at each other throughout the web.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Not that when we had stuff like that. You're an
- 16:58Speaker 1: expert at fixed for don't get that. I don't think
- 17:03Speaker 1: you're gonna be to get in that dressed to be
- 17:05Speaker 1: which thank you, Daddy'll be at les so and seems
- 17:17Speaker 1: here of course we want you to chime man, it's
- 17:18Speaker 1: your time and when you get through. Yeah, okay, well
- 17:21Speaker 1: I'm just about through. But I do have a question
- 17:23Speaker 1: to ask you. Did you guys have any doubts? Did
- 17:25Speaker 1: you see any red flags? Yeah? Got married the best
- 17:29Speaker 1: son ever ever, and I didn't list my daughter said
- 17:33Speaker 1: to me. She said to me, Daddy, you ain't got
- 17:37Speaker 1: to go through with us. We can just have a
- 17:39Speaker 1: party and lead I have the reception, but not to win.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Another friend of match, Stephanie said, this was my how
- 17:51Speaker 1: many times you've been married? Which one? Stephanie? Yeah? About
- 18:00Speaker 1: for step you're coming to my wed Stefanie said, and
- 18:04Speaker 1: I repeat, now, dog, I catch the next one like
- 18:09Speaker 1: it's a movie a flight. Yeah, I'll catch the next one. No, No,
- 18:20Speaker 1: I have a short list of things that I have
- 18:23Speaker 1: discovered that can happen during the wedding day or reading
- 18:28Speaker 1: up to that. We'll let you know the same thing.
- 18:31Speaker 1: The work come on from the winding photographer perspective. If
- 18:38Speaker 1: at no point do they want to whold hands for pictures.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Here's another sign at the wind. If it ain't but
- 18:52Speaker 1: one person on top of the cake, what kind of
- 18:58Speaker 1: make a cake like that? Yeah? Just a bride or
- 19:02Speaker 1: just the groove. What I'm saying, don't you know you
- 19:06Speaker 1: gotta put me up, put me up on it. And
- 19:09Speaker 1: here's the biggest way you could tell this. This this
- 19:12Speaker 1: weird and ain't gonna last. If at the reception, ain't
- 19:15Speaker 1: no gifts on the table, that's what people just said.
- 19:20Speaker 1: I'm not fitting my money. This ain't somebody says, so
- 19:27Speaker 1: what day is that again? Getting married? I'm gonna try
- 19:37Speaker 1: to be there. I guess my favorite one was if
- 19:41Speaker 1: you're taking digs like yeah, but God doesn't your side
- 19:50Speaker 1: all the time? Thank you, thank you mine, take a breath,
- 19:55Speaker 1: mint before you don't even like each other? Through with
- 20:03Speaker 1: this a little through the groom, she coming down, then
- 20:10Speaker 1: you up there and this is what you turn around
- 20:11Speaker 1: your best man to say every time. Yeah, I don't
- 20:26Speaker 1: know if y'all know this about music, but this is
- 20:27Speaker 1: the absolute truth. Taps and the wedding song. Taps and
- 20:32Speaker 1: the wedding songs are in the same key. I rest
- 20:36Speaker 1: my kids so horrible Jay, but Jay is the expert
- 20:50Speaker 1: wedding song, same key. Okay, you meet a lovely, beautiful woman.
- 20:57Speaker 1: You meet a beautiful woman, you like her a whole lot.
- 21:02Speaker 1: The relationship is growing. It's about that time you know
- 21:07Speaker 1: that the next step is marriage. What do you do?
- 21:11Speaker 1: Didn't Steve tell you to stop doing this several times day?
- 21:18Speaker 1: It's life and every like every month, you do it again.
- 21:24Speaker 1: He said, I didn't try something new, Steve, you got
- 21:31Speaker 1: that for sure. For sure, he ain't heard. He's so
- 21:35Speaker 1: unmoved by this. Hear it all right, because he felt
- 21:39Speaker 1: that way about all they is a good doing the relationship,
- 21:43Speaker 1: but it gets bad after the wind. It's a good
- 21:47Speaker 1: doing the relationship. Coming up right after this, Sun tapped
- 21:52Speaker 1: with a prank phone call. We'll be back. You're listening
- 21:58Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, coming up at
- 22:01Speaker 1: the top of the hour, we're gonna talk about uh students,
- 22:05Speaker 1: They're gonna hold a lie in. And they held a
- 22:07Speaker 1: lie in at the White House, I should say, as
- 22:09Speaker 1: a Trunck tweeted about Obama over Russia and Mr and
- 22:13Speaker 1: will be here every day having a Twitter tantrum, and
- 22:21Speaker 1: you know what, and because he's president, these are official.
- 22:24Speaker 1: This is official, This is history these tweets, because this
- 22:27Speaker 1: is all we have to go by. I believe that
- 22:29Speaker 1: these kids are going to change things. I believe for
- 22:33Speaker 1: the first time. And see, they're young enough and smart
- 22:37Speaker 1: enough and tech savvy in information. Is that their fingertips.
- 22:41Speaker 1: See they can get educated. You know, they gotta wait
- 22:44Speaker 1: on their mom and them to give them the information.
- 22:46Speaker 1: And he came out and so no, no, see, so
- 22:53Speaker 1: what you're going to do is you gotta run into
- 22:54Speaker 1: a young person who doesn't have an arterior motive because oh,
- 22:59Speaker 1: they to do is live that ain't nobody paying them
- 23:02Speaker 1: no money yet now they ain't got hipped to the
- 23:05Speaker 1: n I A. And now they're doing it. And I'm
- 23:07Speaker 1: telling you, man, it's causing parents to have to listen
- 23:12Speaker 1: to their children because when your children out here going look,
- 23:15Speaker 1: I just want to live. I want to be protective.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Like that one sign that was up with the little
- 23:19Speaker 1: kid in the swing and it said and it had
- 23:22Speaker 1: a child in the swing under the scope of a
- 23:25Speaker 1: rightful A scope was aiming at this child and a
- 23:28Speaker 1: cartoon and and and and and the sign said guns
- 23:33Speaker 1: don't die, children do. And you know these kids right
- 23:40Speaker 1: here are angry and they know that their parents is
- 23:43Speaker 1: b s and them because a lot of the parents
- 23:47Speaker 1: had the attitude, don't make any fuss, keep it low.
- 23:54Speaker 1: See kids don't have that. They're gonna start the movie
- 23:58Speaker 1: and people rights movement. We'll have a lot to do
- 24:01Speaker 1: with kids being arrested and standing up people. That's right there.
- 24:07Speaker 1: It was because of the civil rights movements. Students were
- 24:11Speaker 1: huge part. And these gun laws I believe will change
- 24:16Speaker 1: because these kids are involved. Because now what the kids
- 24:19Speaker 1: have done is they flipped the narrative. So you're not
- 24:22Speaker 1: gonna give us the narrative, and they're not gonna know.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Our friends are dying and you won't do anything about it,
- 24:29Speaker 1: and we feel unsafe. All right, our friends die, your
- 24:33Speaker 1: friends get rich. That's gonna work. Yeah, So ms Anna's
- 24:37Speaker 1: coming up with our national news too. And right now
- 24:39Speaker 1: it's time for you, Tommy to run that brankback. It
- 24:42Speaker 1: is your drunk husband running rending your drunk husband. Hello, Okay,

- 24:58Speaker 1: be taking you in, but I'm not gonna do that.
- 25:00Speaker 1: You let me if I'm able to come and pick
- 25:02Speaker 1: you up, I'll let her come get you. Fry all
- 25:05Speaker 1: I'm trying. It's gonna Officer Brian's gonna put you in
- 25:07Speaker 1: his squad car. I'm gonna call your wife. I've got
- 25:10Speaker 1: the phone, dolling now all right, okay, Hello? Hello? Who
- 25:18Speaker 1: is hello? Whom? I? Who am I fushing with? Please?
- 25:20Speaker 1: Who is this? This is Officer Daniels after Daniel you

- 25:28Speaker 1: who is out for Dan? I am Officer Daniels. Ma'am
- 25:31Speaker 1: he your husband's actually being pulled over and he's been
- 25:34Speaker 1: uh actually he's in another officer's car. He's he's a
- 25:39Speaker 1: little bit of knebri add here and we're trying to
- 25:41Speaker 1: see about getting him picked up. I'm trying my best
- 25:44Speaker 1: not to take him in today, so I'm trying to
- 25:46Speaker 1: be a good Samaritan. I'm trying to get someone to
- 25:48Speaker 1: come and pick him up. Hold on, hold on, hold on,
- 25:50Speaker 1: back up, back up, you got my husband. Uh, what
- 25:55Speaker 1: I got here on the driver's licenses, Kenny, Kenny, and
- 25:58Speaker 1: he's with you now is actually an office Brian's squad
- 26:02Speaker 1: car right now. So he was actually uh bobbing and
- 26:05Speaker 1: weaving out on the road and we pulled him over.
- 26:08Speaker 1: He's not creating any problems. The young lady wasn't creating
- 26:11Speaker 1: any problems. So what we're trying, what we're trying to
- 26:13Speaker 1: do is get somebody to come and pick him up.
- 26:15Speaker 1: You don't help my hu because my husband has had
- 26:17Speaker 1: worked so he can't be in. No officer ran in
- 26:20Speaker 1: your car and did you say tim again? Did you
- 26:24Speaker 1: say somebody's with Kenneth? That was a young lady in
- 26:27Speaker 1: the car. Man, we're actually letting her go because she's
- 26:29Speaker 1: not inebriated. Uh from the look though at somebody, she's
- 26:32Speaker 1: calling somebody to pick her up now. Man, No, I
- 26:37Speaker 1: can't believe it. Kenny, And I know that during this
- 26:40Speaker 1: song gotten a back in my car. That's my car,
- 26:43Speaker 1: And you said that he had till me this officer
- 26:46Speaker 1: tell me this look at that and telling what she'd
- 26:49Speaker 1: looked like. If that'd not be there, that'd not be
- 26:51Speaker 1: the one I think you have no idea. Excuse me, ma'am.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I creas you're learned about it cause he's supposed to
- 26:59Speaker 1: be working. I'm sorry, Jasmine, okay, you're Josue. Okay, no,
- 27:09Speaker 1: just there. We'll talk to your moment. Yeah, her name
- 27:13Speaker 1: is Jasper. I'm not sure, but keep on, keep keeping yeah,
- 27:18Speaker 1: holding that time I get there. I'm on my way.
- 27:20Speaker 1: I'm on my way right now. Hey, Bridget, I want
- 27:23Speaker 1: you to watch these children from the time I get back.
- 27:25Speaker 1: I'm going to see if I can give me a
- 27:26Speaker 1: rat up to the truck stop and I'll be back
- 27:28Speaker 1: in a minute. Hello. Yeah, Hello, I'm here. Yeah, I'm here.
- 27:37Speaker 1: I'm here. Okay, man, listen, I can't. I can't stay
- 27:40Speaker 1: here too much longer. I can, I can say, and
- 27:42Speaker 1: maybe another fifteen twenty minutes. Somebody come to get the car,
- 27:45Speaker 1: but I gotta keep moving here. I'm just trying to
- 27:47Speaker 1: do it for an I'm on my way. I'm all
- 27:51Speaker 1: my way, I'm all my way. I got my purse
- 27:54Speaker 1: in my hand. I'm all my way to that stop.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Please don't take that, don't where because I got something
- 28:01Speaker 1: for his And when I get there, I hope like
- 28:04Speaker 1: hell and they they's been calling to with me all
- 28:07Speaker 1: to the nice leave for the attack. Get there because
- 28:10Speaker 1: I got some things that I need to take care of.
- 28:13Speaker 1: This thing. Don't move the squad car to I get there.
- 28:16Speaker 1: I'm a wait right now, right now, I have to
- 28:19Speaker 1: be there in a minute. Well, that took my time
- 28:23Speaker 1: picked up there. To date, we don't had arguments over this.
- 28:27Speaker 1: It better not do that. It's better not. I bet you.
- 28:30Speaker 1: If bet not be here, it's better not be here.
- 28:33Speaker 1: I'm all my way. I'll be there in a minute.
- 28:35Speaker 1: I be there. Keep that I get them. Okay, here's
- 28:39Speaker 1: a god that was Wick Kenny. Let me close not
- 28:41Speaker 1: and she can hear me better? Man. Uh, there was
- 28:44Speaker 1: another gentleman that was in the back seat of the
- 28:46Speaker 1: car that was riding with Kenny and the young lady.
- 28:49Speaker 1: I don't give it no other riding with Kenny. You
- 28:53Speaker 1: just make sure he's there when I get there. Okay, okay,
- 28:56Speaker 1: Now do you know who this other gentleman? Do you know? Uh?
- 28:59Speaker 1: Nephew toime me. I don't care, but I know if
- 29:02Speaker 1: you Netphew Tommy. Nephew Tommy said to you, this is
- 29:11Speaker 1: Nephew telling me from the Steve wave and morning's your baby.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Your husban. Kenny got me to pray folk call you man,
- 29:21Speaker 1: who got you? Got you? Ain't kidding because just gonna
- 29:28Speaker 1: happen to kennyfew time to go down to bank head
- 29:32Speaker 1: in two eight and when he gets home, he's still on,
- 29:39Speaker 1: Oh my god you are Oh my god. Now I'm
- 29:42Speaker 1: gonna check what you at times. Oh man, he told me,
- 29:48Speaker 1: he said, Man, my wife don't play. He said, come
- 29:51Speaker 1: man to pray my wife. You aren't. I'm dood Tom,
- 29:55Speaker 1: I'm doing. I'm doing what Korea though he did. Were
- 29:59Speaker 1: didn't work? Here? Your call at work? Better at work? Hey, baby?
- 30:08Speaker 1: Tell me what's the baddest radio show in the land,
- 30:11Speaker 1: Steve how Show? I don't know. All right, we'll have
- 30:17Speaker 1: more of today's national news at the top of the hour, Miss,
- 30:20Speaker 1: and will be here with our news right after this.
- 30:22Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Hardy Morning Show. All right.
- 30:27Speaker 1: You got everybody I think is probably asking themselves this question,
- 30:31Speaker 1: or a lot of people. I'll just say, what is
- 30:34Speaker 1: wrong with President Trump? Do you mean? I don't think
- 30:39Speaker 1: he's crazy at all. He's just hard being. He's never
- 30:42Speaker 1: had to be um sensitive to anybody about anything. I think,
- 30:48Speaker 1: if anything, I think if counsel would have got cued
- 30:51Speaker 1: doing Obama. Peter brought that back. Peter brought that And
- 30:56Speaker 1: have you guys heard this? Um, A lot of people say,
- 31:01Speaker 1: you guys, sho'll respect the office of the president. That's
- 31:03Speaker 1: not the issue. We respect the office here, he doesn't rest.
- 31:10Speaker 1: He's a deal. He has to respect. Yeah, he has
- 31:13Speaker 1: to live up to the office of President of the
- 31:16Speaker 1: United States and start acting presidential. He will never change.
- 31:21Speaker 1: He can't. He's a seventy one year old rich guy.
- 31:24Speaker 1: He's not going to change. This is who he is.
- 31:28Speaker 1: But the people who defend him are the ones that's
- 31:32Speaker 1: really really dangerous too, because his base fuels him, and
- 31:37Speaker 1: he plays to the base. And as soon as he
- 31:39Speaker 1: gets tired of y'all talking about him, he does like
- 31:41Speaker 1: no other president has ever done. He go holds a
- 31:44Speaker 1: rally somewhere to the base, at the base and they
- 31:47Speaker 1: cheer for him. Is that right? Right? Am? I? Right am?
- 31:50Speaker 1: I right am? I right? I mean look at the
- 31:52Speaker 1: president stated Union address. Yeah. Have you ever seen a
- 31:57Speaker 1: president applaud for themselves ever? Whole speech? Clapping? I got?
- 32:09Speaker 1: I mean it was loud, am I right am? I right?
- 32:12Speaker 1: Look at me? Is that right. I mean, you know,
- 32:16Speaker 1: these guys won't even stands. It's treat called treason. The
- 32:22Speaker 1: other sign, the true sign. And when you don't know
- 32:24Speaker 1: what you're saying, and when you bring somebody else up
- 32:27Speaker 1: to the mike, when you know, when you run out
- 32:29Speaker 1: of stuff to say, come on, come on, come on,
- 32:31Speaker 1: come on, it's just that's what's wrong. You don't have
- 32:36Speaker 1: a man. He didn't think he would win. The Republican
- 32:41Speaker 1: Party didn't think he'd win. But I'm so concerned that
- 32:47Speaker 1: the Democrats right now are on track to repeat the
- 32:50Speaker 1: mistake that they mean because the Democrats, all they're doing
- 32:56Speaker 1: is knocking down everything he does. They're spending so much
- 33:00Speaker 1: time hating everything about him, something that they're not. They're
- 33:04Speaker 1: not preparing a candidate. Right. We should know right now
- 33:08Speaker 1: who's going and they should be at have five top
- 33:14Speaker 1: candidates now. If it's gonna be Joe Biden, we need
- 33:17Speaker 1: to start looking at this now. If it's gonna be
- 33:20Speaker 1: somebody else, we need to start looking at it, and
- 33:22Speaker 1: we need to start putting them at the forefront of
- 33:25Speaker 1: some of these issues to counter this guy, because that's
- 33:28Speaker 1: how suld they possibly be getting ready. Stephen, we just
- 33:32Speaker 1: don't know what though. They need to be ready to
- 33:38Speaker 1: vote and learn. Now do you keep a secret nowadays
- 33:44Speaker 1: with people with the media and leaking it. I just
- 33:47Speaker 1: want to hope they prep it. That's all they're doing.
- 33:52Speaker 1: They're not doing anything. And we're registering people to vote
- 33:56Speaker 1: to vote for because we do something, he will win again.
- 34:01Speaker 1: We will win again. That would be the greatest travisty,
- 34:05Speaker 1: travesty of this country. Yeah. You know what's gonna help us,
- 34:10Speaker 1: these kids, the kids that get out and vote. Oh yeah,
- 34:13Speaker 1: that's what's gonna help the kids and women. The bulk
- 34:16Speaker 1: majority of those kids are not eighteen. Yeah, that's true.
- 34:20Speaker 1: And well they might be by the Steve Yeah, true statement.
- 34:27Speaker 1: But now listen to this. They made a profound statement.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Guess what you have to be twenty one to buy
- 34:33Speaker 1: a drink, but you could be nineteen and buy rifle. Yeah. Yeah,
- 34:37Speaker 1: something's wrong with all right, miss here ms ms Andrew
- 34:45Speaker 1: ch everybody, This is and trip with the news. Okay.
- 34:47Speaker 1: President Trump holds a listening session at the White House
- 34:50Speaker 1: this afternoon for people affected by gun violence. Is going
- 34:53Speaker 1: to be meeting with teachers, parents, and students, including people
- 34:56Speaker 1: from South Florida. Of course, but also they say people
- 34:59Speaker 1: impacted by Columbine and Sandy Hook mass murders, they're all
- 35:02Speaker 1: going to be in Washington this afternoon. The present meets
- 35:05Speaker 1: with police officers tomorrow on the issue. Meanwhile, Trump says
- 35:08Speaker 1: he's asking the Justice Department to come up with an
- 35:10Speaker 1: official ban on bump stocks, which makes semi automatic weapons
- 35:14Speaker 1: operate like fully automatic rifle. I signed a memorandum directing
- 35:18Speaker 1: the Attorney General to propose regulations to ban all devices
- 35:22Speaker 1: that turn the legal weapons into machine guns. School safety
- 35:27Speaker 1: is a top priority for my administration. That is why
- 35:33Speaker 1: when governors from across the nation visit the White House
- 35:36Speaker 1: next week, we will be discussing at great length what
- 35:39Speaker 1: the federal and state governments can do to keep our
- 35:43Speaker 1: students safe. Meanwhile, as students from Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High
- 35:47Speaker 1: School in southern California arrived in the state capital of
- 35:50Speaker 1: press legislators to institute stronger gun laws, Florida lawmakers voted
- 35:54Speaker 1: down an attempt to reinstate a bill that would have
- 35:57Speaker 1: banned the soul rifles. They did that last night, so hey,
- 36:00Speaker 1: the beat goes on. Meanwhile, a margin watching over the
- 36:02Speaker 1: issues being planned from March twenty is being called the
- 36:05Speaker 1: March for Our Lives. George Clooney, Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey
- 36:08Speaker 1: among those pledging a half a million dollars each to
- 36:10Speaker 1: help with the march. The White House finally acknowledging Russian inference,
- 36:14Speaker 1: but remains kind of defensive, with President Trump trying to
- 36:17Speaker 1: blame everything on foreign President Obama, who he claimed should
- 36:20Speaker 1: have done more about Russians and stuff like that. Meanwhile,
- 36:22Speaker 1: White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders says administration is working to
- 36:25Speaker 1: keep hackers from wreaking havoc again in the upcoming midterm elections.
- 36:28Speaker 1: We have spent a lot of time working on cybersecurity,
- 36:32Speaker 1: focusing on protecting the fairness on our elections, and the
- 36:37Speaker 1: Department of Homeland Security UM met with state and local
- 36:42Speaker 1: officials just over the last several weeks along with election
- 36:46Speaker 1: vendors to make sure that our election system is secure.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Last meete, they met with state and private officials on
- 36:52Speaker 1: how best to secure the system election system from foreign interference. Okay,
- 36:57Speaker 1: by the way, uh the on the Chinese loan account.
- 37:00Speaker 1: I didn't get to this this year. As a dog
- 37:01Speaker 1: people born in a nineteen fifty eight of nineteen seventy,
- 37:05Speaker 1: eighty two and ninety four, two thousand and six, one
- 37:07Speaker 1: and years the Dog Wolf twenty minutes after the hour,
- 37:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey want to show coming up with trending topics
- 37:12Speaker 1: and more entertainment. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Show,
- 37:17Speaker 1: all right, We know our listeners are new Listeners in
- 37:20Speaker 1: Kansas City and surrounding areas are outraged by this story.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Talk about tone deaf. Children in the Missouri Town Missouri
- 37:28Speaker 1: Town are selling raffle tickets offering an a R fifteen
- 37:32Speaker 1: assault rifle as a prize to raise money for their
- 37:36Speaker 1: baseball team. What what nonbelievable? Yeah, the rifle is the
- 37:41Speaker 1: same type of weapon that was you the last week
- 37:44Speaker 1: in the Florida school shooting that, of course, killed seventeen
- 37:47Speaker 1: uh innocent children. The raffle was launched before the shooting,
- 37:52Speaker 1: but Levi Patterson, the coach of the team, told the
- 37:54Speaker 1: Kansas City Star that he planned to continue with the fundraising. Yeah.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Patterson said he decided to turn it into a positive
- 38:02Speaker 1: thing after getting the hate in the form of angry
- 38:06Speaker 1: Facebook posts after the raffle was first reported. The weapon
- 38:09Speaker 1: was donated as a prize by a team father and
- 38:12Speaker 1: co founder of the neo show gun manufacturer Black Rain Ordinance, Inc.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Which is currently pitching a Spec fifteen a R pistol
- 38:21Speaker 1: on its Facebook page. Here's the deal. Nothing and listen
- 38:25Speaker 1: to me, y'all. Nothing supersedes these people's quest for money
- 38:32Speaker 1: and for power. If money is at stake and power
- 38:35Speaker 1: is at state, there is no limit. That's what this
- 38:40Speaker 1: whole thing is about. The n r A plays on
- 38:43Speaker 1: the Republican powers need for money and power, and they
- 38:48Speaker 1: will do anything for it. This coach will do it
- 38:51Speaker 1: because he wants money for this team. But one of
- 38:54Speaker 1: the fathers of the baseball players, he's pushing his agenda.
- 38:57Speaker 1: So if he puts this rifle up, most people will
- 39:00Speaker 1: go to his website and see this other pistol that's
- 39:02Speaker 1: on sale, and he's selling making mo moneys and power.
- 39:07Speaker 1: It's all this is about. And until you find a
- 39:10Speaker 1: way like these kids are talking about doing, if you
- 39:13Speaker 1: accept that money, we will remove you from power. See,
- 39:17Speaker 1: not one one without the other is empty and politic.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Money without the power and politics, it is empty. It's
- 39:25Speaker 1: just a campaign donation dead unless you win. It is
- 39:29Speaker 1: for nothing. That's the only way we can do this.
- 39:32Speaker 1: You are in two thousand eighteen and coming up in
- 39:35Speaker 1: two thousand and twenty is we have to vote and
- 39:38Speaker 1: anybody that does not support a gun law, anybody, and
- 39:43Speaker 1: that has to be the issue. See, you cannot let
- 39:47Speaker 1: them change the narrative of the thing. You cannot let
- 39:50Speaker 1: them make it economics and jobs again, because if they
- 39:54Speaker 1: make the narrative the platform economics and jobs again, we're
- 39:58Speaker 1: not talking about these right, and then we're just waiting
- 40:01Speaker 1: for another mass shooting. Yeah, it's a dog on shame, man.
- 40:07Speaker 1: I mean, the the whole thing in Sandy Hook happened
- 40:11Speaker 1: with the elementary kids, colum behind happened, This happened. That
- 40:15Speaker 1: just fool up in this window out in Mandalaide Bay.
- 40:17Speaker 1: You gotta be kidding me, man, And don't nobody think
- 40:21Speaker 1: we need to do something. All right, we're gonna move on.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Steve coming up. We know Fergie has apologized for her
- 40:29Speaker 1: version of the national anthem, and uh, we'll be back
- 40:33Speaker 1: to talk about it at thirty four after the hour
- 40:36Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Show. All right, people are still
- 40:41Speaker 1: talking about this, um, But if you missed it, Fergie
- 40:45Speaker 1: has apologized for her terrible rendition of the national anthem
- 40:48Speaker 1: at the NBA All Star Game. She says she's a
- 40:52Speaker 1: risk taker artistically she wanted to do something different, but
- 40:55Speaker 1: she does admit that her version didn't strike the intended tone.
- 40:59Speaker 1: She says she's always been honored and proud to perform
- 41:02Speaker 1: the national anthem and does she wanted to try something
- 41:05Speaker 1: special for the NBA that she hasn't always sung it
- 41:08Speaker 1: like that? She said, She's abody never say it like that?
- 41:14Speaker 1: What now? Okay now kiss, saying that she was in
- 41:20Speaker 1: the black eye right. I just didn't know the duchess
- 41:24Speaker 1: all of that. I didn't know where to put my
- 41:26Speaker 1: hand during the sing. What does that mean? I didn't
- 41:30Speaker 1: know this was over my heart breath. I put it
- 41:34Speaker 1: over my zip hand on my book, what cup? My
- 41:41Speaker 1: other bricks? I didn't know what to do, She was
- 41:45Speaker 1: saying that I was using both hands. That was sexty
- 41:57Speaker 1: to you. You thought he had a moment not of breath,
- 42:03Speaker 1: Not of breath? Man? You quick singing body rockets and stap.
- 42:07Speaker 1: This could be so wow? Yeah? Can I hear the
- 42:12Speaker 1: beginning of it? Oh? Can you see by the joserly
- 42:25Speaker 1: Li what's you? Broadway girl? At the twine lights less
- 42:38Speaker 1: scream that's that's right, right store prove the r last
- 42:53Speaker 1: five or the room works were a WI we're so good,
- 43:05Speaker 1: Let plea story and the room kids rang the bs
- 43:18Speaker 1: fir first game through the night. Man of Flat saying
- 43:41Speaker 1: that's dance start spingled Marie it Way, who for the
- 43:58Speaker 1: l Yeah, that's what I didn't like. Space basketball. Let's
- 44:33Speaker 1: place a basketball whatell you think we are here for?
- 44:37Speaker 1: That's what I didn't like. Plays basketball. You need to
- 44:40Speaker 1: go back work on that damn rendition that this Monroe
- 44:43Speaker 1: I ain't gonna like. President President jfk uh Fergie again
- 44:50Speaker 1: said she's a risk taker artistically. Clearly this rendition didn't
- 44:53Speaker 1: strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly
- 44:56Speaker 1: tried my best. But see I don't I don't think she.
- 45:00Speaker 1: I really think she needs to apologize for nothing something
- 45:03Speaker 1: new and because she got so much criticism. That's why
- 45:06Speaker 1: Ye Louis on the people apologize should still be as
- 45:16Speaker 1: not for real. I think I think that people were
- 45:18Speaker 1: really hard on her about it. She tried something new
- 45:21Speaker 1: and you know she cooled on alright. Yeah, the nephews
- 45:27Speaker 1: here with his prank phone call right after this, you're
- 45:30Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at
- 45:33Speaker 1: the top of the hour, right about four minutes after
- 45:36Speaker 1: it is today's Strawberry letter. You don't want to miss it.
- 45:39Speaker 1: But up next, let me see what is the subject
- 45:42Speaker 1: of the letter. My man is bugging me. Okay, keyword bugging.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Keep that in mind. My man is bugging me. That's
- 45:51Speaker 1: the subject. Up next, Nephew, Tommy, you're here. You know
- 45:55Speaker 1: what we're going to the won't he do with prank?
- 45:57Speaker 1: C D. Weed in the church vein queed in the
- 46:01Speaker 1: church man? Did you know what I said? Stay with me?
- 46:05Speaker 1: Weed in the church by weed weed. There's no ancient
- 46:13Speaker 1: weed queed in the church van. It's weed in the
- 46:21Speaker 1: church man. You need some healing. Healing the weed in
- 46:25Speaker 1: the church van. Here it is running. Hello, I'm trying
- 46:32Speaker 1: to reach dad, brother brother Dan Dad, Hello, Hello, because
- 46:36Speaker 1: I see that I'm trying to read brother Dad, brother Dad. Okay, Yeah,
- 46:44Speaker 1: there's brother Scott from the Church and Belt the Baptist. Hello, brother, Yeah,
- 46:49Speaker 1: I call you. I'm I'm trying to get a little
- 46:50Speaker 1: information about the church band. What's what's your schedule? Uh?
- 46:55Speaker 1: Will you drive the church man? And what's what's your schedule?
- 46:58Speaker 1: I love it. When is thatay? Fridays and Sundays? Okay, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday,
- 47:06Speaker 1: last Sunday. What what is that schedule? O? Sunday. I
- 47:11Speaker 1: usually start about eight o'clock in the morning, probably a
- 47:13Speaker 1: little earlier, depending on some of the elderly people that
- 47:16Speaker 1: I had to go pick up and bring to the church,
- 47:19Speaker 1: make sure they get there okay, and get situated and
- 47:23Speaker 1: make sure they're on time for the service and whatnot, okay,
- 47:26Speaker 1: and then you take them back home after services over. Yes,
- 47:30Speaker 1: I try to get all of them back home, unless
- 47:32Speaker 1: they got family members or something that come up there
- 47:34Speaker 1: and meet them up there and want to take them
- 47:35Speaker 1: to them on Sunday afterwards. But I usually get about
- 47:38Speaker 1: it back home, okay. Okay. Now this class Sunday, which
- 47:44Speaker 1: is part of the reason why I'm calling. Uh, they're
- 47:48Speaker 1: saying that some of the church uh members that was
- 47:51Speaker 1: on the ban in this Sunday. Uh, they are complaining
- 47:56Speaker 1: saying that that the church van was SMI there like
- 48:00Speaker 1: weed when they got on there. Excuse me, they say,
- 48:04Speaker 1: the church van, we're spending like weed when they got
- 48:08Speaker 1: on there. And you are the person that was driving. No, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 48:13Speaker 1: not not not the van that that I'm driving. So
- 48:16Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't I ain't smoke weed, and
- 48:18Speaker 1: no van do you smoke weeds? I don't smoke weed.
- 48:25Speaker 1: I mean not Carly. I mean I have before, but
- 48:27Speaker 1: I don't smoke weed now and I wouldn't smoke weed before.
- 48:30Speaker 1: Picking some people love to go to No now where
- 48:35Speaker 1: you from? Who told you this? Well? All I know
- 48:38Speaker 1: is what what? What's coming down the pipeline is? They're
- 48:41Speaker 1: saying that that A couple of the members came complaining
- 48:46Speaker 1: this just happened last week about this pipeline. I don't
- 48:48Speaker 1: want to know who the pipeline is because just last
- 48:51Speaker 1: week they came and me talking about that. I I
- 48:54Speaker 1: was using the van to go places that I wanted
- 48:56Speaker 1: to go to all my personal time. Now I don't
- 48:58Speaker 1: do that. I don't do stuff like that. Now. I
- 49:00Speaker 1: hadn't had a past, I haven't had a history, but
- 49:02Speaker 1: I don't do stuff like that. And I wouldn't smoke
- 49:04Speaker 1: in no church van. So are you seriously talking? What? What? What? What? What?
- 49:09Speaker 1: We're trying to We're trying to get to the bottom
- 49:11Speaker 1: of it and see what's going on with you. The
- 49:14Speaker 1: elderly person said, do you know which one? I don't know?
- 49:18Speaker 1: They love me every Sunday. Then people tell me they
- 49:20Speaker 1: love me. Uh, they say, I'm one of the most
- 49:22Speaker 1: respectful young gentlemen they've ever met in their life. And
- 49:25Speaker 1: so I really find it hard to believe that you
- 49:27Speaker 1: you you getting these types of complaints about me what
- 49:31Speaker 1: I'm saying to me, like who we I don't know
- 49:33Speaker 1: what that means or nothing like that. Look, brothers, I
- 49:37Speaker 1: don't know you too well, and I know you don't
- 49:38Speaker 1: know me. But I've been driving this van as as
- 49:41Speaker 1: as a point to try to change my life and
- 49:43Speaker 1: where I come from. So this was with something that
- 49:46Speaker 1: I wanted to volunteer even though I'm getting paid to
- 49:49Speaker 1: give my time to do this for the church. And
- 49:51Speaker 1: now this is like the second instance where y'all and
- 49:53Speaker 1: came at me on some stuff about like I'm trying
- 49:56Speaker 1: to do something with this van. Now, why would I
- 49:58Speaker 1: disrespect the church van by smoking weed in it and
- 50:01Speaker 1: then letting the weed stay in there so other people
- 50:03Speaker 1: can smell it? Okay, so let me tell you what
- 50:05Speaker 1: we're gonna do. We're gonna go out here to the church.
- 50:08Speaker 1: They had to say We're gonna go out here today
- 50:10Speaker 1: and open it up. Now, if we see any seeds
- 50:13Speaker 1: or anything around the driver's seat, then that then then
- 50:18Speaker 1: we're gonna We're gonna definitely uh a point, open the
- 50:21Speaker 1: van up. Man. I was raising that church. Man, My
- 50:23Speaker 1: mama go to that church, my grandma. See you go
- 50:26Speaker 1: to that church. See the reason we even all left
- 50:28Speaker 1: that church. And you think I'm gonna mess up They
- 50:30Speaker 1: ain't by driving around in the band fool of elderly
- 50:33Speaker 1: people smoking weed. But Dad, I don't know how to
- 50:39Speaker 1: the bad smell like weed. Man, I don't. I don't
- 50:42Speaker 1: got the answers to these questions. I'm just trying to
- 50:44Speaker 1: tell you that it wasn't me. Did you have some
- 50:46Speaker 1: weed in your pocket and lit it with your swelling?
- 50:49Speaker 1: I ain't had no weed on me. Stop trying to
- 50:51Speaker 1: say like I had weed on and you ain't gonna
- 50:53Speaker 1: get me nothing. That I ain't had no and we
- 50:55Speaker 1: ain't had no weed on me. Okay, Now, you ain't
- 50:57Speaker 1: gonna mess up my name or my family's name. And
- 50:59Speaker 1: this hurt and disrespect us like this. Now, We've been
- 51:02Speaker 1: helping this church for years and I'm trying to tell
- 51:05Speaker 1: you that I ain't riding around and no fans smoking
- 51:07Speaker 1: no weed with no elderly people. Did you ask any
- 51:09Speaker 1: of the elderly people if they had any weed on them? Uh?
- 51:12Speaker 1: Uh no, we didn't know. No, I didn't think about
- 51:17Speaker 1: no elderly people having no weed. So you just assume
- 51:20Speaker 1: it's me what one of them guy got coma or something? What? What?
- 51:24Speaker 1: What you know? What? You know? Who? I think? What?
- 51:26Speaker 1: Did you know? Who I think the weed belonged to? Oh?
- 51:30Speaker 1: I think I think the weed belong And a few
- 51:32Speaker 1: times from the Steve harvean this show. What the damn
- 51:43Speaker 1: you just got preak? Oh my god, you just got preak.
- 51:48Speaker 1: What is just his name is brother? Uh brother Lawrence,
- 51:54Speaker 1: Lawrence ro Lawrence? Uh Larry called Larry, Tell Larry try
- 52:07Speaker 1: in trouble with me. Hit him with the van man,
- 52:15Speaker 1: And I got one more thing that I got one
- 52:17Speaker 1: more thing to ask you, man, what is the saddest
- 52:20Speaker 1: and I mean the baddest radio show in the land,
- 52:23Speaker 1: Man Steve har It morning Man, go no rist Man
- 52:32Speaker 1: going on the chill out the rest of the day.
- 52:34Speaker 1: I tried, Man, I know I ain't gonna smoke no weed.

- 52:40Speaker 1: fired up, their hands on you. That's how you get
- 52:49Speaker 1: But he needs I think churcht boy, But I read
- 52:51Speaker 1: the fight. I think I read the fight. I can't
- 52:54Speaker 1: wait for that hospital. Visit Timmy, what happened? Somebody took

- 54:45Speaker 1: little it's oatmeal? Thank you oatmeal? Alright? Subject my man
- 54:52Speaker 1: is bugging me. Uh, Dear Stephen Shirley, I have a problem.
- 54:57Speaker 1: I met a guy and I consider him a good
- 54:59Speaker 1: friend and I want to get to know him better.
- 55:02Speaker 1: He has taken me on a few dates and all
- 55:04Speaker 1: went well at first. The problem arose after one of
- 55:09Speaker 1: our recent dates, after a really good date, we decided
- 55:13Speaker 1: we'd pick up some food and go back to his
- 55:15Speaker 1: house to chill and eat our food. Well, when we
- 55:19Speaker 1: got to his house with our food and he turned
- 55:22Speaker 1: the lights on, boom, bam boom. Roaches went flying from
- 55:27Speaker 1: east to west. They were so but down. They were
- 55:31Speaker 1: so bad they were even crawling on his dog. Told him.
- 55:36Speaker 1: I told him politely that I was not eating my
- 55:39Speaker 1: food there. He sat there, eating his food and looking
- 55:42Speaker 1: at me like I was crazy. He didn't see that
- 55:45Speaker 1: there was a problem. When he dropped me off at home,
- 55:48Speaker 1: I immediately took my clothes off and as soon as
- 55:51Speaker 1: I walked in. I'm not saying that I'm better than
- 55:54Speaker 1: anyone else. I have dealt with bugs in my home too,
- 55:57Speaker 1: but clearly this was an infest station. This was not normal.
- 56:02Speaker 1: This was the last time I spent time at his house. Now,
- 56:06Speaker 1: he asked me why I won't come over. I don't
- 56:09Speaker 1: even want him over at my place because he may
- 56:11Speaker 1: bring bugs with him and spread them to my house.
- 56:15Speaker 1: When we go out together in public, it makes me
- 56:17Speaker 1: think he's not clean and his car is not clean
- 56:20Speaker 1: because of how he keeps his house. I don't want
- 56:22Speaker 1: to lose a good man, but I just can't deal
- 56:24Speaker 1: with the bugs. What should I do? Please help me?
- 56:27Speaker 1: Oh my god, I couldn't do this. I'm just gonna
- 56:30Speaker 1: tell you right now. I could not, and I don't
- 56:33Speaker 1: know how you can. I mean the fact that he's
- 56:35Speaker 1: not embarrassed about it, and that he brought you over
- 56:38Speaker 1: his house and there my skin is it's in right
- 56:40Speaker 1: now just thinking about it. He brought you over there,
- 56:43Speaker 1: and um, he didn't see anything wrong with it. He
- 56:45Speaker 1: was looking at you like you were crazy. I don't
- 56:49Speaker 1: get it, and eating food there, No, ma'am, no, ma'am no, ma'am.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Um not. It's not a situation where where you're better
- 56:58Speaker 1: than he is. Your wake, cleaner than he is, for sure,
- 57:01Speaker 1: and clean that you know. That's one of the primary
- 57:04Speaker 1: principles of dating someone. They have to be clean for
- 57:07Speaker 1: having's sakes. Uh. And yeah, I wouldn't let him over
- 57:10Speaker 1: my house because he might bring bugs over there. I'm sorry.
- 57:14Speaker 1: I don't know. I just couldn't. I couldn't do it personally,
- 57:18Speaker 1: I couldn't do it. I don't know how good of
- 57:20Speaker 1: a guy he is. I just don't know for him
- 57:23Speaker 1: not to notice this. I have a problem with this,
- 57:25Speaker 1: and I think you should too. Steve, Well, this ladder
- 57:30Speaker 1: right here is a very easy word for me. I've
- 57:33Speaker 1: had this experience before. I dated a woman who lived
- 57:39Speaker 1: in a roach infested house with her mama was you.
- 57:43Speaker 1: I'm from the hood. I've seen roachers before. We've had
- 57:47Speaker 1: him at our house from that was young. It was
- 57:50Speaker 1: just not in infestation. Don't tell everybody. You know everybody
- 57:54Speaker 1: everybody had a roach at the house. Come on, now,
- 57:57Speaker 1: you cut all this out. Just what your ainta do
- 58:00Speaker 1: is let it become an infestation. You were scared of
- 58:03Speaker 1: the roacher's time because they was the same size as year.
- 58:08Speaker 1: You want to tell all of that, You over that
- 58:10Speaker 1: riding roaches and but but that's I wanted the road
- 58:14Speaker 1: for Christmas and all this because you thought they was awesome.
- 58:18Speaker 1: That's another story. Man. He wanted a pony, so we
- 58:22Speaker 1: got him a roach. And now you didn't want all
- 58:29Speaker 1: that out? Didn't you just stay out the damn letter?
- 58:34Speaker 1: She didn't met this friend of hus that everything going
- 58:36Speaker 1: good and it went out on several days. Didn't one
- 58:39Speaker 1: of you did? He invited over, They stopped and picked
- 58:41Speaker 1: up some food. They come into the house and they
- 58:44Speaker 1: turned the lights on. Boom bam boom. See that must
- 58:49Speaker 1: be your first time seeing roaching, because that ain't the sound,
- 58:53Speaker 1: it's the seem power because when you turned that night on,
- 59:04Speaker 1: their ass is rolling. Now that threw you off. Roaches
- 59:11Speaker 1: was flying from east to west. They were so bad
- 59:14Speaker 1: they was crawling on the dog. The dog is tired
- 59:16Speaker 1: of so much tail swishing pulse. He didn't killed as
- 59:22Speaker 1: many as he couldn't and just resigned to the fact. Hell,
- 59:27Speaker 1: they win, y'all. Just just don't bite me, y'all, just
- 59:33Speaker 1: crawl on me, but don't but don't bite me. He's
- 59:37Speaker 1: so sick with his tail tongue, Paul, he just stamping on.
- 59:40Speaker 1: He got four feet, he can't stomp him out. So
- 59:44Speaker 1: the dog didn't just mad helm, so he just there. Man.
- 59:49Speaker 1: I told him politely that I was not eating my
- 59:52Speaker 1: food there, and he the key. He said, they eat
- 59:55Speaker 1: this food, looking at me like I'm crazy, because he
- 59:57Speaker 1: don't see the problem. Huh, it's jack roaches. It's just roaches.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Clear your area out and enjoy your meal. I been
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: at the girl's house playing cards, and I could not
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: understand the number of roaches that was in the hill
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: lights on day. I ain't none of them running. They
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: actually stay here. They walk across the table and I'm
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: just knocking stuff off with my cards. I'm trying to
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: shuffle hard so the wind can knock them off. As
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: I'm dealing cards, I'm trying to deal them where I
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: can knock one off as the card come to you.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: I'm doing everything. I've been here fighting for me back
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: then top knock. Now she was fine. I was dealing
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: with it. So now you said there, he looked at
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: you like you're crazy. He didn't see that was a problem.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Then he dropped me off at home. I immediately took
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: my clothes off as soon as I walked. Then got
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: some mistake too late. You gotta get them clothes off
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: our side. Listen to me. My friend used to pick
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: me up for these girls before I got in the car.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: He's a man. Come on, now, come on, you know
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: what you got. Shake down down. I can't hand it, Carol.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: I know she find one love, but you can't hand
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: he rotes up in his car. So I was standing
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: there with a Maxi coat on, just shaking. I got
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: bail bottoms on, just shaking, platform shoes on the apple.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: I'm just shaking. You have got to start shaking these
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: clothes as soon as you dropped you off. Don't go
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: inside because they in there. They're coming. Roaches is coming.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Quit sitting in his car. They in there, They in
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: the that's they look for other places. They know it's infested.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: They are roaches. Don't like living in infested places, like
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: living in the hood somewhere else. They're gonna We're gonna
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: have part two Steve's response coming up in three after
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: the hour. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: come on, let's get to part two of like You're
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: response to today's Strawberry letter, subject to my man is
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: bugging me see key word bugging. We ain't got to
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: get over there. She dating the dude has got a
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: roach infestation at his house. She don't know what to do.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: These roaches is everywhere. The roaches are so bad they're
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: crawling on the dog. The dogs and gave, Oh, he
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: ain't got no pads on the bottom of his pause.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: He's been stoking the bottom of his paus is. He's
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: just been up in the house. He'd embarked them. They
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: don't even they're not moved by him anybody. The reason
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: when he cut the lights on, they start running everywhere
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: is because that he don't stay there enough. What do
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: you mean you're gonna have to do? Like this girl
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: family did? They was in there so much that the
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: roach is no longer rain. You're gonna have to You've
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: heard the old saying. If you can't beat them, join them.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: You can't beat the infestation because y'all fighting me with
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: the wrong stuff. Black flag does nothing interest station. It
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: will killing only on direct contact. And you gotta wait
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: till the roach flip over there sprame on on the side.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: If you don't do that, black flag don't do nothing
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: for the roach. You have to put something in that
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: house that really does roaches wrong? What is that with

- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Look that boy said he was just in the jacket
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: man when he put the dirt back, and that he

- 1:07:12Speaker 1: you went to structured rot. I've never heard anything like
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: this before. It was a stage away on the side
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: of the street. Danny got leep on the port and
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: now my daddy's would on the porch when he's good.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: So I don't know about to steal the down station
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: got a tooth in it. You don't understand all the

- 1:08:14Speaker 1: what is you doing? Get away from him? I was unsafe,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: you know, acid and the ascid. And that's so when
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: they started turning to the getting sick, because you knew
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: that's where they were coming for. He didn't like Mr Williams.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: That's what it was. And the dog wanted to die.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Oh my bloody roach story. Boy, Roaches have changed from
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: people's lives, apparently yours. I have roach story. We have
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: never ever you have a You have a mouse story too,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: that's crazy. He got another roach story. That's crazy. To
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: let me tell you something, man, that's that girl that
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: I was crazy about. My boy, Biggie Weed came over
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: that picked me up. Oh yeah, And I had a
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: call big and tell him more time to come. We
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: have more shows. All right? You want to hear the
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: roach story to change my life? That wasn't it? And
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: now I have all this? No, this was when I
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: was gross in college. Many roaches in your line? All right? Listen? Uh,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: oh god, okay, coming up in about ten minutes, we're
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: gonna talk roaches. Yeah, you're listening, to the Steve Harvey
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: Morning Show. Alright, Steve, So we started with the Strawberry
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: letter about this woman and this man and these roaches,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: and then you went on to tell us this roach
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: story that I've never heard before in my life about roaches.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: So you have another one for us about this girl
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: I was dating that had all these roaches and it
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: was infestation. She lost. She was fine, and uh, you
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: know when no cell phones back then. So my boy
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Biggie Wig. I told Biggie Wig to come and pick
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: me up at a certain amount of time. I said,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: as a matter of fact, Weig, I'll call you at
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: your house if something changed thirty minutes before one o'clock
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: and let you know if I need a little bit
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: more time or no. So I were in there, we're
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: playing cards. Roaches is everyone. It lights on and anyway,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: there ain't nobody in on them rushing, but this way
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: they stayed. You're playing cards, and I know it's too
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: many of them, many here. And I didn't got up
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: off the couch to play cards because I just they
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: was on the couch, it was on the coffee table,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: They walked cross TV screen. They was just everywhere. So
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I figured least let me set up in a wooden
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: shell with four legs on it, the least amount of exposure.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: Already got cuffs in these bail bottom I got. I
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: got the damn to make cool locks out of these
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: before I took them, because I got them two inch
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: cuffs in these baill bottoms. Know they're in here, Yeah,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: I don't get here, well, in here in the Yeah,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: they're looking for a route. Tell me they're just playing cars,
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: roaches every way. I'm just flicking them, just flicking them
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: off with the cards and hands. Comes and the girl's
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: sisters was real nice. They was hood, but there was
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: some nice girl. But law, them girls talk trash when
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: they played cars. So we're not. We're just customed each other. Yeah,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: you know I've been. I've never been mobies. According to women,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: look at you, little skinny, be what you're gonna do.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: So I'm been there. We just talking tras. So I
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: look up at the clock and I said, let me
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: go on in here and call b and tell him
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: I'll be ready about one thirty something. Happy man, I
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: forgot to call these roaches. It's one am now day
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: in full blast. I don't know what it is about.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: One am, but roaches. I don't know if it's clubs.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: They was all out for that night stroll and there
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: was with the family. You know, we were playing music.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: So there was out at the club, the club that
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: was going to dinner. I was in the park. I
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: don't know what being happening with roaches was everywhere I'm
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: talking about. Listen to me when I tell y'all, there
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: was nowhere you could look and you didn't see a roach.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: So cool. All of a sudden the doebell rang and
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: her sister jump up and said, I got it. We're
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: playing spades. 's my play. So I said, I got
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: to get to this dope because I got to tell
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: this fool, Biggie weig big when you come in here
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: and listen, they got a roach problem. I liked the girl.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Don't embarrass her, just act like you don't see him.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: I had a whole speech. I was a matter of fact.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: When I called in thirty minutes before, I was gonna
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: tell him because here, good brother. But when you don't
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: want him though there were no texting, ain't no cell phone,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I just didn't go. So next thing I know, she
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: at the dove. So by the time I make my play.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: All I hear is at the door. Damn here he's there.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: What and then and there's all you here he out
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: there in the four Just stop it. I'm still and
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: I'm standing there just looking at him, and and the
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: sisters is mortified. I was here and here I'm talk God,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: I'm only want to and y'all don't see. Man's planking
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: blinks everywhere. Yeah, ain't wonder louve that? He calling me.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: I'm six ft away, but his dog he don't see me.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Ain't wonder loud, just like you, don't stop. So he's
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: shaking his coat, clipping his collar. He knocking him off
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: the wall. He'd pull his head off. Now he got
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: against brim right in a maxiat. So he pulls his
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: hat off and he just watch what ran all on
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: the wall. Man, he's mother blaxes everywhere. Man don't see this,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: He steady asking them down. Y'all don't see this. I'm
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: standing there with my arms folded, just umiliated. Then a

- 1:14:58Speaker 1: he reached out with o bread man the mother blake
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: And see I'm just standing there looking at him, and

- 1:15:13Speaker 1: I said, hey, excuse me, hey, let me get him
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: a coat. What you do? It was the end that
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: was not kissed the girl on the cheek. I tell
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: Bigger said, come on, man, let's go. Yeah, yeah, man,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: I don't know how you're sitting up in him. You

- 1:17:07Speaker 1: the headphones off, They took the microphone off of him,
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: and he walked away, never looking back. He walked. He
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: still had the smile though. I love that part, that
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: he still had the smile. Uh. You know, he just

- 1:17:35Speaker 1: don't ask him about it. Jamie Fox continues to remain
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: hush hush about his relationship. He does not talk about
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: it about Katie Holmes. You might see him, you might

- 1:18:18Speaker 1: diamond ring and a promo trailer for the upcoming season
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: of Braxton Family Value to Wait what now? The psychic
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: on my show told her that she was about to
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: get a big ring. She said, no, I'm not. You

- 1:20:26Speaker 1: And when a brick comes through the window, they knew
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: about it. Changes your conversation quick from what I've never
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: been ashamed. If anybody updated, not at all. We've gone,

- 1:21:06Speaker 1: hell no, hell no, we're not gonna date. Uh, huh No,
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: Now you're not gonna be embarrassing because what's the point. Yeah,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: well Tommy can do that. But Tommy is a different
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: type of dude though he he and it for other reasons.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: If you find and you ugly, then I gotta look
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: beyond your faults. See that right there? What that can't happen? Ok,
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: but they overlook your faults time. That's fine. But when
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: you overlook him in and we're gonna overlook him behind
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: closed doors, John be embarrassed to like, I can't believe
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: he got the baby hands. I don't really would man
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: with the baby hands. He cut my button? Now take yeah?
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: He rubbing my face? Yeah, baby hand. You two can
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: go to hell. I'm on the team time and I'm

- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I don't know where you weren't getting on that roller
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: coach And see the point when you swung on the hand.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: But the little dude said, if you're not taller this
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: and you we quit talking about. When I grew up,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: team was team every man. This little boy has been missing.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: Now he is grown. He is really grown. Yeah, you
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: remember that time you didn't come home school and they
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: put you on the milk cart. Then when they found
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: out the whole you was, he had to take you
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: home missing one night and they put him on the
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: bo I was not missing. I was not missing you
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: that time you finished that weekend. We put you on
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: a bottle of Hennessey and we found you. I was
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: not missing. Yeah, we find him on a bobble of Hennessy. Stupid,
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: more of this foolishness, shenanigans when we come back right
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: after this. He was thirty seven. You're listening to the
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, guys. According to a study,
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: bronze medalists may actually be happier than those who come
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: in second place. Silver medalists are likely to be less
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: happy because they're thinking about what could have been. You know,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: they almost made it all. Yeah, focusing on I almost.
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: They're too busy, uh, comparing themselves to the gold winners.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: Bron bronze medalists tend to think that they could have
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: got nothing, but at least I got a bronze, so
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: they tend to be happier because as they are thinking,
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: you know, at least I got a bronze. So another
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: Winter Olympic news, the Nigerian women's bob sled team made
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: their debut yesterday. These ladies, yes, yes, yes, became the
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: first athletes from an African nation to compete in bob sled.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: They competed. They're not from Wakonda, where the Black Panthers from.
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: They competed again really early this year, really early this morning.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: So congratulations ladies. And speaking of the bob sled. On
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: another note, we have to give a shout out to
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: Red Stripe Beer, the Jamaican bob sled team coach. Yeah
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: it was it reassigned and she threatened to take the
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: bob sled, which costs around fifty thou dollars. As a
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Red Stripe spokesperson explains, as a beer born and brewed
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: on the same island as these athletes, we want to
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: ensure they have proudly compete. So me on Jay and
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: in junior, I'm not we could, I would, We could,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: could we fought? Huh? I would pay good money to
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: see in the front you can't push your bob slid.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: You're gonna pull the muster body whatever to kick me
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: off the team already that would need me. I would
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: pay good money to see it. Though it's not gonna happen.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: I mean, you don't want to see us Jay gonna
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: be complaining the whole time in the front doing this.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: It's Jay sits because I can't running the log. So
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: I got first and we were had to wind that
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: car because I don't like that little croc but that
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: but ain't nobody here gonna be down in that box,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: don't see that? Would pay good money looking up if
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: they were the bob Slid people, you guys, I would
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: pay good money, absolutely open to create a picture in
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: front of the sty would be cussing the entire tire,
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: the entire taking the blanket, y'all doing we losing j Hey,
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: everybody'll be waiting at everybody in the stand. I have
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: six crisis right out there. First. He can't stand to
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: be around that much cold. You got to get a
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: heat to put in crying the whole way you got
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: I wouldn't. I didn't bring your medicine with you. Yeah,
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: it's gonna be a problems. That would be a whole
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: bunch of brown Tommy bead and flew out of there
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: soon we had set flew out. I seaves constin would
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: have to be made especially for hand. Yeah, he'd be
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: fly huh you know that he'd be looking good. And yeah,
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: that would just be the Bob Smith. All right, we'll
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: be back with more. We're coming back at thirty three
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: after you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, KFC,
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: whenever you hear that, everybody looks up right. KFC is
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: temporarily closed hundreds of locations in the UK. And yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: that's why I said, So what is the black UK
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: people doing? What they're over here in the hood trust
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: and belief? Well, okay, here we go. On Monday night,
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: they had to close after shops ran out of chicken
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: following delivery problems. Okay. Fast Food Chain switched this delivery
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: contract to German shipping giant d h L, which had
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: promised to set a new delivery standard after winning the
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: contract with KFC. So on Monday five seventy KFC restaurants
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: were closed. Stories had initially run out of chicken over
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: the weekend, and it says due to administrative issues, a
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: number of deliveries have been incomplete or delayed. We are
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: doing our utmost to rectify the situation as soon as
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: possible and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: So there you go. They called the police. L you
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: gotta get some floy warning, ain't no damn chicken. Grarning,
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: Ain't no damn chicken, No chicken. Stay back, there is
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: no chicken. These people in red out of damn chicken. Boy, warning,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: everybody back, They're red out of damn chicken. This is
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: an emergency. This is not a test. This is real.
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: Get back in your call, call your mama them Kentucky
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: Fried is out of chicken. Time. This is the public
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: service announcement. It's not to alarm you, but here it
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: is Kentucky Fried Chicken run out of damn chicken. This
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: is serious, folks, This is not a joke. Get back
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: in your homes, hunker down. There is no chicken. This
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: is really terrible. This is not gonna work. You have
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: to do something. That's why you got to store. You
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: some chicken. You start all kinds of problems. That means
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: no biscuits, no sides. I have people at my heart
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: right now waiting, no check. What I'm gonna do with
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: a black and a cold slow, Don't flying biscuits when
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: the hell is going out? What I'm doing just potato,
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: don't flop biscuits. That's why we've warned you there is
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: no chicken. Now, please stop crying. You won't be burning
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: anything down. We don't have chicken. Al right, when we
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: come back, there still won't be. We do have closing
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: remarks when we come back to close out of the show.
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: Is just one more thing, just one more piece of chicken. Yeah,
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show alright, last
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: break of the day. Just one more wing? Um, who
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: get the wing? Steve Harvey, you've brought your fabulous uh
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: and very insightful, very informal, very motivating closing remarks. Back
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: is something that you started years ago when you first
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: started the Steve Harvey Morning Show. People have grown to
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: love them and and you know to live by them
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: and be inspired by them. So what do you have
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: for yesterday? Uh? A real good piece of motivation and
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: makes your quest to become successful a little bit simpler.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: Oftentimes people are stuck in a rut because they can't
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: think they way clear to see the end result. What
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: I mean by is some people make such lofty goals
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: and then they sit there without a plan of attack
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: to achieve that lofty goal, until they've created a goal
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: that seems so daunting that they don't even start the
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: process of a trying to accomplish it. For example, And
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: this doesn't have to be the case. I'm just using
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: this as an example. Let's say you want to be
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: a millionaire and you say, wow, I want to make
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: a million dollars, and then you start thinking of how
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: to make the million dollars, and because you can't, it
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: becomes so daunting. Making a million dollars is difficult. If
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: it were easy, wouldn't you do it by fryday? Wouldn't you?
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: Of course you would. But it's a little more difficult
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: than that. So here's what I had to learn in
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: my life. Everybody listening to this was born with a gift.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: It's inside of you. Because God is very fair. He
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: didn't put it on a mountaintop, he didn't hide it
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: under a rock. It's in you, and your gift is
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: the thing that you do to absolute best with the
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: least amount of effort. In that lies your greatest chance
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: for success. There's a scripture that says your gift will
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: make room for you and put you in the presence
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: of great men. Let's just look at the first part
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: of that, your gift will make room for you. My
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: interpretation of that has meant what my gift has done
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: for me. It has allowed me to spread out. It
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: has taken me places I never dreamed got gold. Your
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: gift will do the same thing for you. So now
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: let's just talk about your ability to get to the million.
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: I think it's with your gift, because if that's what
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: that he gave you and instill that you at birth,
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: was to make room for you, here's your chance. Now
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: how do I do that? Steve? I call it to
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: maximize your effort by ten theory. It's just something I
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: came up with driving when I was home listening coming
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: up with how to make it, and I discovered something.
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: All of you have something that some would pay you
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: ten dollars to do. Some of you paint, some of
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: you teach some of your Babysit tutors. Some of you
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: work with your hands, some of you can sing, some
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: of you can choreograph. Some of you there's so many things.
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: Cut grass, I mean, play the piano. Some of you
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: do something. Some of your work on cars, some of
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: y'all drive. But all of you have something that you
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: will do that someone will give you ten dollars to do.
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: All of you have something that someone will pay you
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: ten dollars to because you do something that's one else
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: can't do. So now all you gotta do instead of
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: trying to figure out how to make a million dollars's
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: go make the ten dollars that you're able to make.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: Once you make that ten dollars, I want you to
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: do it ten more times. When you do it ten
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: more times, you not have a hundred dollars. Once you
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: have a hundred dollars, it's very simple. Do the same
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: thing you did to make the hundred dollars ten more times.
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: You now have one thousand dollars. See, you don't have
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: to keep thinking of something else to do. Just keep
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: doing the same thing that you've been doing. Just do it.
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: Multiply the effort. It's the effort that maximizes and and
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: brings about the fruition of what your life can be. So,
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: if you make a thousand dollars and you do that
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: ten more times, I have news for you. Not have
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: ten thousand dollars now, naw, in order to make a
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: hundred thousand, you might need a little bit of help.
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: You might need to hire somebody to help you do
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: the thing that you do. But if you make ten
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: thousand dollars and you do what you did to make
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: ten thousand dollars, which is the same thing you did
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: to make ten dollars, if you do it ten more times,
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: you now have a hundred thousand dollars. Now listen to me,
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: my friend. Once you have a hundred thousand dollars, I
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: could assure you you're going to need help because in
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: order to maximize a hundred thousand dollars, you have to
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: have some like minded people around you. Nobody gets to
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: the top alone. Nobody becomes successful and wealthy by themselves.
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: They form partnerships, relationships, they get employees. But once you
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: make a hundred thousand dollars doing the same thing you
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: did to make ten dollars, if you do it ten
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: more times, I have news for you. My friends, congratulations,
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: you have just made one million dollars with a ten
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: dollar idea. Stop trying to figure out how to make
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: the million. What all you gotta do is take your
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: ten dollar gifts that God has put in you. It's
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: a million dollar gift that you have. You just haven't
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: broken it down inch by inch, anything that sinch, and
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: maximize the efforts. That's how you become successful. These jokes
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: that pay me what I make now, it's the same
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: jokes that pay me twenty five dollars a night. They're
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: the same jokes. It's all English. This is not in
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: another language. I don't know no more words now that
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: I knew. Then, I've taken these twenty five dollar jokes
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: and I maximize them over and over and over and
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: over and over and over and over. It's the same
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: jokes I was telling babysitters who charged fifty dollars to
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: watch kids. Babysitters end up opening up daycare centers. Day
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: care centers turned into franchises, crime dollar crime monetary schools.
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: These are national franchises. Somebody was just babysitting. My partner
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: used to cut grass. First three dollars in the front,
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: three dollars in the back. He got a landscape and
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: come to Cleveland. He made four million dollars a year.
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: You know what he do? He cut grass, same six
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: dollar grass cutn't he's been doing? You jack out some trucks. Now,
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: what is it that you do that somebody will pay
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: you ten dollars that you can maximize your effort for
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: and turn it into your million trying to figure out
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: how to make the millions. Take your ten dollar skills
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: set and start hammering it and beating it and working
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: it and grinding and hustling and multiplying and magnifying it,
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: and you will make a million dollars. Y'all have a
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: great weekend. For all Steve Harvey contests, No purchase necessary
