- 2:07Speaker 1: on now dig me but one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:11Speaker 1: got a radio show, Thank God for it all the
- 2:13Speaker 1: time too. Well, here we go today. Since it's this
- 2:18Speaker 1: time of the year, I want to share something with
- 2:21Speaker 1: you that I'll help you because it's helped me. You know.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I was telling the story once that this magazine called
- 2:32Speaker 1: rob Report, that that was the statue I used to
- 2:35Speaker 1: see for years. I started buying robb Report magazines um
- 2:40Speaker 1: years ago. So I just wanted to see what the
- 2:43Speaker 1: fluent people did, you know, just wanted to see what
- 2:47Speaker 1: people with means did, what type of investments. They did,
- 2:51Speaker 1: what they bought, you know, what they traveled to. Rob
- 2:54Speaker 1: Report is just like, oh, it's like a big boy
- 2:57Speaker 1: toy magazine. You can see what cars says out. I
- 3:00Speaker 1: didn't have money for none of it. Just I was dreaming, though,
- 3:03Speaker 1: you know, I just wanted to see. And there's a
- 3:08Speaker 1: statue inside this magazine of this man who was coming
- 3:13Speaker 1: out of this bronze rock. And he was completely bronze,
- 3:17Speaker 1: and he was muscular, and you know, he didn't look
- 3:21Speaker 1: nothing like me, but he was a man coming up
- 3:23Speaker 1: out of a rock. And he had a huge hammer
- 3:25Speaker 1: and a chisel in his hand. And as his body
- 3:29Speaker 1: from the waist up was coming out of this huge
- 3:31Speaker 1: piece of stone, you could see where it was him
- 3:34Speaker 1: who had been chiseling and forming himself. So the name
- 3:38Speaker 1: of the statue was self made Man. And for years
- 3:42Speaker 1: man I said, Man, I'm gonna get a big house
- 3:44Speaker 1: one day, and I'm gonna put that statue in the
- 3:46Speaker 1: backyard in the corner. That's gonna be my little spot
- 3:49Speaker 1: where I go chill, because I'm a self made man. Well,
- 3:55Speaker 1: after years of working at becoming somebody and having reached
- 4:01Speaker 1: a degree of success I have, I would have nothing
- 4:07Speaker 1: to do with that statue. There's nothing about that statue
- 4:11Speaker 1: that appeals to me any more. Because on my journey
- 4:15Speaker 1: and in my quest to become what I thought would
- 4:18Speaker 1: be this self made man, why I could put this
- 4:21Speaker 1: statue and had a statue in the corner be kind
- 4:24Speaker 1: of cold symbolizing it, I had made it. I realized
- 4:27Speaker 1: on my journey there's no such thing as a self
- 4:31Speaker 1: made man. That we all need help, and that God
- 4:34Speaker 1: places people in our paths along the way that benefit
- 4:40Speaker 1: us oftentimes. And it's the most unlikely person off the times,
- 4:45Speaker 1: and it's the most unlikely way that He presents these
- 4:48Speaker 1: people in front of you is crazy how he does it, man.
- 4:52Speaker 1: And so this is a statue now that I look
- 4:54Speaker 1: at and I go, I see what the creator was saying.
- 4:57Speaker 1: And that's cool, but not not for me, because I
- 5:02Speaker 1: needed help and I've learned a lot of things like
- 5:05Speaker 1: this along the way. And at this part of the year,
- 5:10Speaker 1: the part I wanted to share with you all about
- 5:12Speaker 1: this is you've got to develop You've got to develop
- 5:17Speaker 1: a sense of purpose. Now, notice what I said. I
- 5:21Speaker 1: said you have to develop a sense of purpose. I
- 5:24Speaker 1: didn't say you had to go out and figure out
- 5:26Speaker 1: a purpose. You have to develop a sense of purpose
- 5:30Speaker 1: that's different. See your purpose, it's created for you by God.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Because when He created you as an individual from whatever
- 5:43Speaker 1: two parents you may have, that's not important here. When
- 5:47Speaker 1: he created you, he had something in mind for you. Mhmm.
- 5:54Speaker 1: You you follow me. Now, When he created you, he
- 5:57Speaker 1: had something in mind for you, and it was a purpose.
- 6:01Speaker 1: God has not created a single soul to become a criminal.
- 6:05Speaker 1: God has never created a single soul to be a
- 6:08Speaker 1: drug dealer, to become an addict, to become an alcoholic,
- 6:13Speaker 1: to become an abuser, a molester, a Cheatah, He didn't
- 6:18Speaker 1: create none of this. This came about through some decisions
- 6:21Speaker 1: we made as sinners and we stayed in that place.
- 6:27Speaker 1: But see what he created us. He had a He
- 6:31Speaker 1: has a wonderful idea for us. But God gives us
- 6:34Speaker 1: human beings this thing called choice, and we have the
- 6:37Speaker 1: power to decide. So you can decide if you're going
- 6:40Speaker 1: to adhere to the purpose that God created you and
- 6:43Speaker 1: made you for, or you can go ahead and make
- 6:46Speaker 1: some choices on your own. So like, if God wanted
- 6:51Speaker 1: to give your life and give it to come to
- 6:53Speaker 1: you and give you life more abundantly. And that's his promise.
- 6:56Speaker 1: If you come to him, if you choose him, then cool.
- 7:00Speaker 1: But if you say, well this ain't moving along fast enough,
- 7:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna get my own life of abundance, I'm gonna
- 7:06Speaker 1: start slinging. Well, guess what. Now you've made a decision.
- 7:12Speaker 1: And see God's decisions and choices. The one thing I
- 7:15Speaker 1: learned about them from Bishop Kenneth Oma, God's decisions, choices,
- 7:19Speaker 1: his voice, It has no sin in it. Ain't it
- 7:22Speaker 1: amazing how many people that came up to you and say,
- 7:24Speaker 1: the Lord wanted me to do this to you, and
- 7:26Speaker 1: I'm doing it. That God is punishing you, and I'm
- 7:29Speaker 1: doing this to you because God gonna see that you
- 7:31Speaker 1: get your day. Who who is this person? Who is
- 7:35Speaker 1: this person that God all of a sudden gave this
- 7:38Speaker 1: authority and power to? God didn't get that to nobody man.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Nobody's person only had a right to hold you to
- 7:45Speaker 1: your past, the right to make you pay. So who
- 7:49Speaker 1: makes them pay when they make mistakes? Because they all
- 7:52Speaker 1: make them. So when I say you have to have
- 7:55Speaker 1: a sense of you have to develop a strong sense
- 7:58Speaker 1: of purpose, that means you have to strongly get in
- 8:00Speaker 1: touch with your creator to find out what the purpose
- 8:03Speaker 1: you were created for. See it's it's it's two things
- 8:07Speaker 1: that I had to learn along the way my career.
- 8:11Speaker 1: My career was what I was paid for. My calling
- 8:16Speaker 1: is what I was made for. See, it's two different things, folks.
- 8:21Speaker 1: It took me a long time to learn it. And
- 8:23Speaker 1: some people never really. Some people think that they calling
- 8:28Speaker 1: is to be a performer. Well, that's what you paid for,
- 8:31Speaker 1: and a big part of your life is your performance
- 8:34Speaker 1: is tied directly to your gift. But what you made for, though,
- 8:39Speaker 1: what you made for, is to bring about some significant
- 8:42Speaker 1: change in another human beings lives because we are all
- 8:45Speaker 1: linked together in this chain. That's what you're here for.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Everybody has a purpose to do something wonderful, meaningful, or
- 8:54Speaker 1: impactful for another person. Show me the person that's not
- 8:59Speaker 1: made for that. I just want to know, who is
- 9:03Speaker 1: it made to do that? Who is it made to
- 9:07Speaker 1: do something that will that will affect the life for
- 9:11Speaker 1: the betterment and improvement of another person or people. You
- 9:17Speaker 1: think the guy that invented the airplane was merely inventing
- 9:21Speaker 1: the airplane so he could fly. No, his purpose, His
- 9:26Speaker 1: purpose was to become an inventor to come up with
- 9:30Speaker 1: this invention so he could fly and we all fly. See.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Sometimes God will make you successful so you can become successful,
- 9:39Speaker 1: so you can turn around and teach other people how
- 9:41Speaker 1: to become successful. God save people, so you can turn
- 9:45Speaker 1: around it tell other people how wonderful it is to
- 9:47Speaker 1: be saved. You see how this thing work. That's what
- 9:51Speaker 1: we have to do with people. And it's nothing that
- 9:54Speaker 1: we have to go and discover. We have to go
- 9:56Speaker 1: and develop it. But if you haven't discovered your purpose,
- 9:59Speaker 1: it's said, because here's it. If you haven't discovered your
- 10:03Speaker 1: purpose is simply because you have not contacted the creator
- 10:10Speaker 1: and maker of your soul to ask and find out
- 10:15Speaker 1: why you were created. It's as simple as that. If
- 10:22Speaker 1: you buy a Toyota, there's an owner's manual on the
- 10:27Speaker 1: inside that will tell you everything you know, how to
- 10:31Speaker 1: best operate your toyota, how to make it work, how
- 10:35Speaker 1: how I we to do? And they got a trouble
- 10:36Speaker 1: shooting section. Your faith is the same thing as an
- 10:41Speaker 1: owner's manual in your car. Open up that book, man,
- 10:46Speaker 1: find out how to jumpstart your life, how to troubleshoot it,
- 10:49Speaker 1: and get on with your life and find out your
- 10:52Speaker 1: purpose and develop a strong sense of purpose this year.
- 10:55Speaker 1: All right, okay, cool, you're listening to ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:03Speaker 1: boys and girls everybody around the world. Monkeys, tree climbers, butchers,
- 11:09Speaker 1: tree tremors, landscape CERs, barbers, beautitious nail texts, people that
- 11:17Speaker 1: just have foot fetishes, people that sheer sheet us, clothesline
- 11:27Speaker 1: workers or trapeze artists. People, people that feed the gorillas
- 11:34Speaker 1: down at the zoos, lady, and welcome to the Steve
- 11:40Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. And to anybody out there that still
- 11:46Speaker 1: got a typewriter, ain't got a shout out so long? Yeah,
- 11:53Speaker 1: I know, anybody said nothing to y'all. They just stopped
- 11:56Speaker 1: typing when you said that. And hello to all the
- 12:01Speaker 1: millennials that don't know how to cursive print. Oh yeah, man,
- 12:05Speaker 1: my little girl wrote me a letter in cursive print.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I thought it came from a fan that was five. Yeah,
- 12:15Speaker 1: they don't have that. I didn't really, But she's been,
- 12:18Speaker 1: you know, on a computer her entire life on the computer.
- 12:21Speaker 1: How do they sign their signature. They ain't got no signatures,
- 12:25Speaker 1: just a mack. It'll be amazing, you know. Yeah, that's
- 12:35Speaker 1: my mom. Alright, Well, Good morning, Steve. Why ain't nobody
- 12:47Speaker 1: to talk you usually when to get quiet like that
- 12:50Speaker 1: dead space, that's usually me. Good morning, darling, how are
- 12:56Speaker 1: you calling for real? Good morning, cREL. What's up? H PG?
- 13:04Speaker 1: Happy pitched you morning? Yeah? What's that now? Steve Harvey,
- 13:13Speaker 1: what's up? What's up? Food? Good morning? Pauses this morning? Yes,
- 13:23Speaker 1: Paul's not ever on the radio ever. Well, how's everybody?
- 13:31Speaker 1: Everybody saw the interview last night Sunday, Sunday night, Sunday night. Yeah, yeah,
- 13:37Speaker 1: we're still yeah, highest rated. It was the highest rating
- 13:44Speaker 1: well since the Obama's wow post election? Yeah, okay, okay, man,
- 13:52Speaker 1: that's man. You talked about taking chance and that's what
- 13:56Speaker 1: he like? What come on to control of the president? Well,
- 14:04Speaker 1: you know, I thought she was believable within you were
- 14:10Speaker 1: first time I was on Jit. If somebody had a
- 14:12Speaker 1: saw me on Jit, on me and the boys just
- 14:15Speaker 1: about you turn around drop my show? What but but
- 14:19Speaker 1: that I was sprank with that damn shit? But had
- 14:23Speaker 1: never happened, right, a matter of fact, I've never been
- 14:26Speaker 1: a sprank with the magazine And thinking about it as
- 14:31Speaker 1: a matter of fact, soon as I get on Fortune
- 14:33Speaker 1: five hundred mare all right, listen, roll it up. We'll
- 14:40Speaker 1: come back with more of this crazy conversation at thirty
- 14:43Speaker 1: two after the hour you're listening, Steven Show. Alright, it's
- 14:48Speaker 1: time for something funny, Stephen. You know we were talking
- 14:51Speaker 1: about it earlier. The Stormy Daniel's interview on sixty Minutes
- 14:55Speaker 1: with Anderson Cooper, who I thought did a great job.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Yes you don't wanted the best interview. Yes he is,
- 15:02Speaker 1: Yes he is, Yes he is. Uh. Stormy Daniels finally
- 15:05Speaker 1: spoke out, told Anderson Cooper that she basically wanted to
- 15:09Speaker 1: clear her name and she felt pressured into signing the
- 15:12Speaker 1: nondisclosure agreement. Stormy revealed a lot just in case you missed.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Take a listen as she talked about spanking the president,
- 15:20Speaker 1: Steve on his behind and give me that and I
- 15:25Speaker 1: don't remember he wouldn't handed over and uh so he did.
- 15:32Speaker 1: And I was like, turn around, drop him. You told
- 15:35Speaker 1: Donald Trump to turn around and take off his pants? Yes?
- 15:38Speaker 1: And did he? Yes, So he turned around and pulled
- 15:41Speaker 1: his pants down a little, you know, he had underwear
- 15:44Speaker 1: on stuff and and I just gave him a couple
- 15:45Speaker 1: of swats. She said. Now you can't you can't see
- 15:50Speaker 1: your name and now in Spankler magazine. If you want
- 15:53Speaker 1: at the guy, yeah see me, Yeah, I would hurt them,
- 16:01Speaker 1: not with anybody. No women know well, I'm not gonna
- 16:04Speaker 1: be That's one thing about me. Dog. I ain't never,
- 16:09Speaker 1: never cared for that type of that type of you
- 16:13Speaker 1: just a little bit too frequent for me. Need love
- 16:16Speaker 1: to no, no no when they needed from other point stars,
- 16:19Speaker 1: because I ain't got you know that's what you need
- 16:22Speaker 1: if you need line stop, if you got a high
- 16:29Speaker 1: rate of activity, I don't want it, and I don't
- 16:33Speaker 1: care how good you look. Yeah, I don't like. I
- 16:37Speaker 1: don't mind line. I love you. I love you. That's
- 16:41Speaker 1: what point starts, do I can't I need somebody point.
- 16:44Speaker 1: You're not paying somebody to tell you the truth about yourself.
- 16:47Speaker 1: You pay them to lie you look good. Oh that's
- 16:50Speaker 1: the best. Damn what I paid for. You've heard it all,
- 16:57Speaker 1: Jay paid for doll very sad. I don't want to
- 17:06Speaker 1: leave the feeling small about myself. Are you're kidding me?
- 17:12Speaker 1: And you for that for you to make me feel
- 17:15Speaker 1: the lot of me. But Junior, on the other hand,
- 17:17Speaker 1: doesn't want him to lie to him. No, I don't
- 17:19Speaker 1: want you want the truth. Jo No, No, I don't
- 17:22Speaker 1: want nobody to just lie because it's over. They overdo it. No,
- 17:25Speaker 1: I don't want I love you. I love you too.
- 17:31Speaker 1: So that's what we're doing. I love you. We love
- 17:35Speaker 1: it up. We love each other. Come, I just oh
- 17:41Speaker 1: my god, you wart me out? What? Yeah? Knowing that's
- 17:46Speaker 1: a lie, Jack, I don't kill I can't see. And
- 17:55Speaker 1: you're good with the paper cuts on your button. You're
- 17:57Speaker 1: good with you from the magazines, from magazine, you're cool
- 18:01Speaker 1: with that part. Well. For his part, Mr Trump has
- 18:08Speaker 1: denied having an affair, though he has admitted there is
- 18:12Speaker 1: no n d A, and his lawyers are now threatening
- 18:15Speaker 1: Stormy Daniels with financial ruin if she keeps talking. The
- 18:19Speaker 1: alleged affair apparently happened about ten years ago. But now
- 18:23Speaker 1: here's a problem. You can't say nothing ever happened. If
- 18:28Speaker 1: you're trying to make her hole to the n d
- 18:31Speaker 1: A canty right now, you pay the moment to stay hush,
- 18:40Speaker 1: But now you're gonna charge her a million every time
- 18:43Speaker 1: she talked. Now, have nothing happened? Why are we doing? What?
- 18:47Speaker 1: What are we stopping her from talking? Right? That's how
- 18:50Speaker 1: they got up to twenty million every two. They said,
- 18:52Speaker 1: she mentioned it about twenty times so far. But she
- 18:55Speaker 1: don't have twenty millions. No, she doesn't. You can't see
- 18:58Speaker 1: somebody from just now she been with twenty million people.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I'm not you know, Look, did I think she's telling
- 19:11Speaker 1: the truth. But there's some sketchy stuff too, because she
- 19:14Speaker 1: on three times she said and signed documents that said
- 19:19Speaker 1: she never had relations with the man, she never had
- 19:21Speaker 1: sex with it. Then she said, well I did say that.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I didn't but I really did. Okay, they're gonna use
- 19:29Speaker 1: that against her family. Now do I believe the woman?
- 19:36Speaker 1: But now the reasons for her doing it to clear
- 19:39Speaker 1: my name? Oh no, no, no, no no. So you
- 19:42Speaker 1: can't be a poem star and be concerned with your
- 19:45Speaker 1: name that well, yes, I mean in a way she can.
- 19:51Speaker 1: It's just like she's saying, I didn't lie about that.
- 19:55Speaker 1: You're lying on me about saying that right about being
- 19:58Speaker 1: a porn star. She's about being but not concerned about
- 20:06Speaker 1: your name is the part. Yeah, see your video do
- 20:10Speaker 1: a lot of Yeah that I would be concerned. But
- 20:14Speaker 1: that means she's a lying. That's her occupation. That doesn't
- 20:16Speaker 1: mean she's lying. No, I'm not saying, She's like, Okay,
- 20:19Speaker 1: hold up, now, what y'all nothing to do? Hold on.
- 20:26Speaker 1: What you're gonna do is not internally try to spend
- 20:29Speaker 1: this because y'all know good in here, Well what y'all
- 20:32Speaker 1: really be saying? So now let's let's not get on
- 20:35Speaker 1: the radio be colorful Christians. Yeah. I totally believe her.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I mean I believe her too. But I'm telling you
- 20:46Speaker 1: what they're gonna do in court, Them lawyers is gonna
- 20:50Speaker 1: hold up the document that Donald Trump did not sign.
- 20:54Speaker 1: They're gonna hold up the interviews where she said he
- 20:58Speaker 1: never had sexual issues with me, the document that said
- 21:02Speaker 1: nothing ever happened. It was just she was there taking
- 21:05Speaker 1: pictures and making appearances. They got that all documented, said
- 21:10Speaker 1: it and in writing. Now the fact that you want
- 21:13Speaker 1: to come back because as Anderson Cooper said last night,
- 21:16Speaker 1: she paid very close to Could this be because you
- 21:22Speaker 1: stand to make a lot more money? She says, well,
- 21:27Speaker 1: I am making more money with appearances. But see there's
- 21:30Speaker 1: a book deal that's possibly some other stuff. So that's
- 21:35Speaker 1: why they offered to give them the hundred and thirty
- 21:37Speaker 1: thousand back, because they know there's millions on the table.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I still think she's an honest poem star. All right, listen.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Coming up next, we have the nephew and run that
- 21:49Speaker 1: frank back. All right, you're listening to st Coming up
- 21:54Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, we're gonna discuss voting
- 21:57Speaker 1: UH registration drives for the Mark for Our Lives activists,
- 22:01Speaker 1: plus mss Anne. We'll also have today's national news. But
- 22:05Speaker 1: right now it is time for the nephew to run
- 22:07Speaker 1: that prank back. What you got now, We're gonna run
- 22:09Speaker 1: that thing back. Really, this is the Gospel Church Queen.
- 22:14Speaker 1: This is Grant, all right, Grant Um, Grant Stevens right, yes, hey, great,
- 22:20Speaker 1: this is Brother Lewis Finley. I'm calling from Mounth Sidini
- 22:24Speaker 1: Missionaire Baptist Church. You you and your wife just joined

- 22:32Speaker 1: So now listen, um, I wanted to reach out to you.
- 22:36Speaker 1: I know you guys have started the uh the orientation

- 22:43Speaker 1: at orientation. You've got three more to go with that, right, yes, alright, alright, alright,
- 22:48Speaker 1: So first of all, I want to say welcome to
- 22:51Speaker 1: Mounth Sidini and and I hope you are enjoying yourself,
- 22:54Speaker 1: and I know that you and your wife for a
- 22:57Speaker 1: mixed couple. You your Carcasian and eas cheese black. Are you?
- 23:02Speaker 1: Are you liking the church so far? Are Grant? Absolutely,
- 23:06Speaker 1: we really are enjoying it. We completed our first orientation
- 23:10Speaker 1: and uh yeah, so far, we're really enjoying it. Okay, Okay,
- 23:14Speaker 1: did I catch you a bad time? I don't work
- 23:17Speaker 1: right now, but it's okay. I've got a couple of
- 23:18Speaker 1: I've got a couple of minutes, Okay, Okay. I just
- 23:21Speaker 1: wanted to call you, man. I was worried I know
- 23:24Speaker 1: you because I don't think you noticed. But you are
- 23:26Speaker 1: the first Caucasian to join our church, and I just
- 23:31Speaker 1: want to make sure you kind of knew the language
- 23:34Speaker 1: and and just just kind of knowing what the Black
- 23:37Speaker 1: church is all about. And there's certain sands and different
- 23:40Speaker 1: things I think you should know so that, uh you know,
- 23:44Speaker 1: I just don't want you to say that the wrong thing.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Why you at the churches? That makes sense? Uh okay? Okay.
- 23:51Speaker 1: So so what I wanted to do, like, I wanted
- 23:53Speaker 1: to give you a little Black Church quiz so you
- 23:57Speaker 1: can kind of maybe if you could let me know
- 23:59Speaker 1: where you are. You know, if you want a lower
- 24:02Speaker 1: level or a high level, it's for being knowledgeable about
- 24:06Speaker 1: the Black Church. Like still this blak in for me,
- 24:09Speaker 1: grant And if you don't matter, I just want to
- 24:11Speaker 1: take a limity of time and I let you get
- 24:12Speaker 1: back to work. But first of all, and give a
- 24:15Speaker 1: blank to God. What what we're what we're going in
- 24:19Speaker 1: that blank right there? First of all, give a blank
- 24:22Speaker 1: to God. Yea, all I can think of to give?
- 24:26Speaker 1: Give thanks to God? Uh No, see that's wrong. See
- 24:30Speaker 1: that's wrong. See to see what it is is. First
- 24:32Speaker 1: of all, give an honor to alright, remember that. First
- 24:36Speaker 1: of all, give an honor to God. You got that? Okay, yes, yes, okay.
- 24:41Speaker 1: First of all, give an honor to God, who is
- 24:43Speaker 1: the blank of my life? What? What? What? What goes
- 24:48Speaker 1: into blake? First of all, give an honor to God,
- 24:50Speaker 1: who is the blak of my life, the love of
- 24:54Speaker 1: my life. No, no, see that's that's that's that's wrong.
- 24:58Speaker 1: First of all, give an out of the God who
- 25:01Speaker 1: is the head of my life. Do you sure? I'm sorry? Okay,
- 25:07Speaker 1: I was just are you sure? Are you sure about that? Oh?
- 25:10Speaker 1: I'm definitely sure about man. I don't, don't, don't. What
- 25:13Speaker 1: I don't want you to do is question what what
- 25:14Speaker 1: I know? I'm from the Black Church. I know. No, No,
- 25:17Speaker 1: I wasn't. I wasn't questioning you, sir. I wasn't question.
- 25:19Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I've just always heard it that way. But okay,
- 25:23Speaker 1: So so I'm trying to give you the understanding of
- 25:26Speaker 1: knowing what the Black Church is about. You know what
- 25:27Speaker 1: I'm saying, I understand. I just I know, I appreciate it.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I'm just apologize. Okay, No, no, Look, I don't know
- 25:36Speaker 1: these answers, obviously, but I've got a meeting. I gotta
- 25:38Speaker 1: get to here in a minute. Like like this, I'm
- 25:40Speaker 1: curious if everyone in the church gets these phone calls.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Well wait, waiting and waiting in a grade. I know
- 25:44Speaker 1: you have a meeting, but what's more important? Your meeting
- 25:47Speaker 1: or knowing your position at the Black Church? What? What
- 25:51Speaker 1: was more important? I really don't have time for this
- 25:54Speaker 1: right now. I can't believe it's actually happening, Like did
- 25:56Speaker 1: you did your pastor even know that you're calling you
- 25:58Speaker 1: right now? When I took the livery of myself when
- 26:02Speaker 1: I realized you was Caucasian, that I would call and
- 26:04Speaker 1: try to help you so you would know what to
- 26:07Speaker 1: do when you're in the black church when people are
- 26:08Speaker 1: saying certain things you okay, okay, grant if you don't, man,
- 26:13Speaker 1: just do this fun the grant, like, do you know
- 26:16Speaker 1: what hooping is? Hooping? Like who the hooping? Uh? No,
- 26:22Speaker 1: hooping is when in the past. That is at the
- 26:24Speaker 1: end of his sermon. So listen to this, good God,
- 26:30Speaker 1: don't like there do that funny if you if you
- 26:33Speaker 1: wore a grant? Oh love, oh God, oh n no, no,
- 26:40Speaker 1: no no you let's come on you will you? Women? Good?
- 26:47Speaker 1: Got out? I'm like, I can't believe I'm doing that.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Oh oh yeah, oh God almighty. Okay, Hey Greg, do
- 27:03Speaker 1: you think maybe it's possible that you can have some
- 27:06Speaker 1: sessions dispose you come back to the church and I
- 27:10Speaker 1: can prepare you more. Hey, man, let's listen. You have
- 27:14Speaker 1: caught me at a really bad time and I'm quiet,
- 27:16Speaker 1: honestly just so frustrated. Like I've never heard of a
- 27:19Speaker 1: quiz like this. I'm really offended, and the honest to
- 27:22Speaker 1: be like, do you guys don't want me to go
- 27:24Speaker 1: here church anymore? Like a matter of fact, dude, you
- 27:27Speaker 1: should be calling my wife right now. She's black, but
- 27:30Speaker 1: she should already know the question. You're the one. Don't
- 27:34Speaker 1: know why I'm gonna call. I should call you. I
- 27:37Speaker 1: don't gonna work right now. I have a meeting to
- 27:39Speaker 1: get to in just a minute. I don't know what
- 27:41Speaker 1: you're doing. And I hold on a second. I have
- 27:44Speaker 1: got to close my office store. This is so embarrassing.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I have never ever received a phone call like this
- 27:50Speaker 1: in my life, and you better be lucky. I mean,
- 27:53Speaker 1: I want to talk to your pastor. I am going
- 27:55Speaker 1: to talk to him next Sunday. No joke. Why don't
- 27:59Speaker 1: mean because you to get style like that. I hadn't
- 28:01Speaker 1: mean that you. I didn't even to upset you, and
- 28:03Speaker 1: nothing like that. What can I can? I can I
- 28:05Speaker 1: say something else to you, one last thing, and I
- 28:08Speaker 1: have to go. Okay. I just wanted to let you
- 28:11Speaker 1: know that this is Nephew till Me from the Steve
- 28:14Speaker 1: Hobbit Morning Show. Your wife Caroline got me to brank
- 28:18Speaker 1: phone call. You shut up, shut up. I am so sorry.
- 28:29Speaker 1: I am so sorry. Are you good? You are? I'm alright, man,
- 28:36Speaker 1: I'm alright a little embarrassed, but I'm alright. Gret you
- 28:40Speaker 1: gotta do it for me one more time? Oh god,
- 28:46Speaker 1: oh no, oh yeah, okay, man, look at do this
- 28:54Speaker 1: for me. Tell me what is the baddest, I mean,

- 30:33Speaker 1: and young people, Young people, it is time to register
- 30:38Speaker 1: to vote. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:42Speaker 1: All right, here's a programming note before we do this.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Seven o'clock. Attorney Benjamin Crump, who has represented the families
- 30:49Speaker 1: of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Tamir Rice uh will

- 31:07Speaker 1: man whose name is Stefan Clark out of Sacramento, California.
- 31:11Speaker 1: He was shot twenty times by the police and the
- 31:14Speaker 1: community is demanding justice. All right, well, quickly switching gears here.
- 31:19Speaker 1: The March for Our Lives is over, but the student
- 31:22Speaker 1: drive for gun reform is just beginning. Moving forward. It's
- 31:26Speaker 1: all about registering to vote now. The new activist message
- 31:30Speaker 1: is the youth of America needs to step up and
- 31:33Speaker 1: start voting. One student survivor said, you see the statistics.
- 31:38Speaker 1: It was an embarrassing turnout. Only one in five voters
- 31:42Speaker 1: ages eighteen to twenty nine turned out for the last election.
- 31:47Speaker 1: I see change many Rick Scratton remember him, Santa? Yes,
- 31:59Speaker 1: Why you know when I said that, I said, that's
- 32:03Speaker 1: really what's his name again? You know what this food said? Yeah,
- 32:13Speaker 1: he said, instead of these young people wanting somebody else
- 32:17Speaker 1: to do something, they should do something to solve the
- 32:21Speaker 1: problem themselves, like learn CPR. So when one of their
- 32:26Speaker 1: fellow classmates this shot, they could possibly save their life.
- 32:32Speaker 1: He said that on CNN. He said it, and I
- 32:38Speaker 1: noticed it right away, I said, And Van Jones was
- 32:41Speaker 1: on the show, and they didn't go to Van right away.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Van whole face change because see I'm I'm just centlepen
- 32:48Speaker 1: and and then and nobody really said anything right right away,
- 32:51Speaker 1: But I went, okay, But now they're making it a story.
- 32:54Speaker 1: This idiot says, instead of these young people wanting someone
- 32:59Speaker 1: else to do something something for them, meaning change, he's
- 33:02Speaker 1: because he's a meaningless gun. Laws you you're asking us
- 33:05Speaker 1: to do, they're meaningless. Do something to help yourself, learn CPR.
- 33:10Speaker 1: So when one of your fellow classmates the shot, you
- 33:12Speaker 1: can say, they're life. Get rid of that be damn.
- 33:19Speaker 1: That's a Republican comment. Right there. A Republican politician comment
- 33:24Speaker 1: who gets money from the n r A to remain
- 33:27Speaker 1: in power, and he can't go against that. That's the problem, y'all.
- 33:33Speaker 1: They can't go against n r A because they will
- 33:35Speaker 1: pull money from your campaign and put it towards somebody else.
- 33:40Speaker 1: And you out of power, you out of money, and
- 33:43Speaker 1: you out of control. And nothing is more important to
- 33:46Speaker 1: them than that, and that includes your damn life. All right, Steve,

- 34:32Speaker 1: through some backyards. White cops shot him at least twenty times. Again,
- 34:36Speaker 1: he had no weapon, He only had a cell phone.

- 44:14Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 44:18Speaker 1: right about four minutes after today's strawberry letter. Oh and
- 44:21Speaker 1: it's gonna be a good one. You don't want to
- 44:23Speaker 1: miss it. But right now it is the nephew here
- 44:26Speaker 1: with today's prank phone call. What you got, nev. You know,
- 44:29Speaker 1: I'm looking through my roller decks. I just don't know
- 44:31Speaker 1: which one to play, you know, my archive, uncle, you
- 44:34Speaker 1: pick one for me? Can you do that? Okay? Yeah?
- 44:39Speaker 1: Can you act a little less interesting? Though? Well? He
- 44:43Speaker 1: ain't so hell, Hell, that's what I'm doing. He ain't
- 44:47Speaker 1: got no juice in him today. I'm bushing him hard
- 44:49Speaker 1: as I can. But he just wants to give up.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Let's go back and get a classic. Since you're dying,
- 44:58Speaker 1: let's dig up that dudes, grandmama and move. Huh yeah,
- 45:09Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. I just got these kids to
- 45:12Speaker 1: stop crying. Right. Oh no, no, no, that's the Coleman brush. Okay,
- 45:17Speaker 1: here it is Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach your list. Yeah,
- 45:22Speaker 1: this is hey. Listen, my name Sean. Uh did you
- 45:27Speaker 1: uncor had passed away? Named? Yeah? All right here your uncle? Right, yeah,
- 45:33Speaker 1: that's my uncle. We were at him about three and
- 45:35Speaker 1: a half month ago. Right, what reason why I was
- 45:38Speaker 1: calling was I'm the person that actually cut your ancor
- 45:42Speaker 1: hal when he passed away. Okay, So the reason why
- 45:46Speaker 1: I was calling is, uh, the situation is when I
- 45:50Speaker 1: cut his hair. And I know you don't know the
- 45:53Speaker 1: history about me, but my daddy and my granddadd was
- 45:56Speaker 1: was Bob plus we are bob Us. Okay, come on, bro,
- 46:00Speaker 1: you down to the bout because you told my my
- 46:01Speaker 1: uncle Mane and I'm trying to see what's going on forever, okay,
- 46:04Speaker 1: and I'm trying to call you like this. But what
- 46:06Speaker 1: I'm telling you is that my granddad and my daddy,
- 46:09Speaker 1: they dad passed down a brush and a comb to me. Okay,
- 46:13Speaker 1: that is like a sentimental value. Okay, But for the
- 46:18Speaker 1: for the last two or three months, I ain't been
- 46:21Speaker 1: able to find the comb and the brush that I
- 46:24Speaker 1: used what I had cut here now okay, So okay,
- 46:28Speaker 1: go And what I was trying to call and tell
- 46:31Speaker 1: you is it that I can't find it. And I'm
- 46:33Speaker 1: almost certain what I'm trying to tell you what I'm
- 46:37Speaker 1: little kid, what many kid? So? So what can I
- 46:39Speaker 1: do top you find comb? Brother? Father? That's what I'm saying.
- 46:42Speaker 1: When I did miss have and edged it up at
- 46:45Speaker 1: the funeral home. That's the last time I remember having it.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Three months right, right, there's about three months ago. What
- 46:53Speaker 1: I'm trying to say is I left the comb and
- 46:55Speaker 1: brush and you know what, went to get home and
- 46:58Speaker 1: did his half. And I talked to the funeral and
- 47:02Speaker 1: they told me that, you know, if I'm trying to
- 47:04Speaker 1: find a comba bro I gotta get permission. What cold
- 47:07Speaker 1: is the coma brosh? What's the color of the comba black?
- 47:11Speaker 1: That both from black? The combly black and hard. You
- 47:14Speaker 1: got all kind of combs that black and gold man. No, no,
- 47:18Speaker 1: don't see. What I'm saying is the coman brushes black.
- 47:20Speaker 1: And I know I lost it, but I'm almost certain
- 47:24Speaker 1: about where it is. Okay, So if you're satin about
- 47:27Speaker 1: where it is, what you called, that's the reason why
- 47:29Speaker 1: I'm calling you, because I'm almost certainly left it with him.
- 47:34Speaker 1: You're listening with my ben. So so I called funeral.
- 47:38Speaker 1: They told me, I need to call you in order
- 47:40Speaker 1: to get permission to get it. Oh till you call
- 47:43Speaker 1: funerals get permission from me that you can go get
- 47:46Speaker 1: the comba brush from left the funeral When you can
- 47:50Speaker 1: go down there, they got no. No, See the comba
- 47:54Speaker 1: brush ain't with the funeral. The coman brush in there
- 47:58Speaker 1: with your uncle the work, the comb and brush in
- 48:03Speaker 1: the can you on the other stage. You got to
- 48:08Speaker 1: say that again. What I'm trying to say to you
- 48:10Speaker 1: is that the comb and brush is in I'm trying
- 48:13Speaker 1: to say, just say what I'm trying it that the
- 48:16Speaker 1: calm and brushes in the casket with your uncle. It
- 48:20Speaker 1: since in that is six let's see. See. What I'm
- 48:24Speaker 1: trying to say is that the comb and brother is
- 48:26Speaker 1: sentimental value. To me, bro it couldn't have been too value.
- 48:30Speaker 1: But if you lost it, what now? What do you want?
- 48:33Speaker 1: Got value? You know my work? So I just really
- 48:36Speaker 1: got caught up in Really if you talk about left
- 48:40Speaker 1: with my uncle that theyd three months ago? Man, what
- 48:43Speaker 1: color is you talking about? Bro All, I'm trying to
- 48:45Speaker 1: do what you would see if if you don't mind,
- 48:48Speaker 1: approven for them to bring the body up so I
- 48:51Speaker 1: can get the comb and brush. What's there for comb?
- 48:58Speaker 1: But but see, but what I'm trying to explain this
- 49:00Speaker 1: sentimental value. I'm trying to get you all the brain
- 49:03Speaker 1: the body and so I can get my comb and
- 49:04Speaker 1: brush out of it. Because, like I say, my dad
- 49:07Speaker 1: and my granddad was bom this little thing you sentimentally
- 49:10Speaker 1: you talking about my dead uncle man, and you talking
- 49:12Speaker 1: about bringing him up out of the ground for comb Man,
- 49:16Speaker 1: I just got these to start cryeing around here. And
- 49:19Speaker 1: and I understand what y'all going through as as a
- 49:22Speaker 1: family and stuff. You know, I'm trying to get my
- 49:25Speaker 1: combing and how are you trying to go about doing
- 49:27Speaker 1: this all? Throw it off on boy, because ain't nobody
- 49:29Speaker 1: digging up nobody to bring back. No, no, brush man,
- 49:32Speaker 1: you don't got me pissed off now, man, because you're
- 49:35Speaker 1: come on to me talking stupid man. You talk, I
- 49:37Speaker 1: put on my mom huncle man. That's man that's got me.
- 49:40Speaker 1: And I ain't trying to start. No, you're talking like
- 49:42Speaker 1: coman brushman. Don't right. But I understand all that. But
- 49:46Speaker 1: this is a sentimental value man in the middle. To me, man,
- 49:49Speaker 1: just something that people live. Sentimental to me. Okay, go
- 49:52Speaker 1: to my favorite uncle man. Okay, you talk about putting
- 49:55Speaker 1: up this body, man, I got call hey, man, man,
- 49:58Speaker 1: I I don't want to you give me because of
- 50:00Speaker 1: my grand that's long man. You shouldn't know how I
- 50:03Speaker 1: got free. May if we don't get out like this here, man,
- 50:06Speaker 1: I ain't been sitting and argue with you. Look, I
- 50:08Speaker 1: got some tea, I I got some I mean, will
- 50:12Speaker 1: you staying? Let me say this. I got some people
- 50:14Speaker 1: that's here with me right now. You know some of
- 50:16Speaker 1: my friend and we got some shovels, so I can
- 50:20Speaker 1: actually go over and and go on and get the caller.
- 50:24Speaker 1: And in the morning, ain't nobody gonna even know you
- 50:26Speaker 1: ain't gonna go get now with the long boy to
- 50:28Speaker 1: say what you don't get you don't dig up. We're
- 50:32Speaker 1: going together a com and I got him sailing with
- 50:34Speaker 1: two of you're talking about sending tests to dig n
- 50:37Speaker 1: Hey man, I'm been a calling on and tell you
- 50:38Speaker 1: just like here, and then I'm trying to get my
- 50:42Speaker 1: comb and brush back. I ain't trying to have no
- 50:45Speaker 1: problems with you, but I want my comb and put
- 50:47Speaker 1: the head. As you think you're talking to them right,
- 50:50Speaker 1: go wrong, group going wrong, green bar safe cold. They
- 50:55Speaker 1: got him as I ain't. Man, Ain't nobody this been't
- 50:58Speaker 1: even about your uncle that's on in that you God
- 51:02Speaker 1: go to be howling in me. Nobody howling at you. Man.
- 51:06Speaker 1: I'm telling you I gotta call and push in your
- 51:09Speaker 1: uncle Kaki, and I want my press who you did
- 51:12Speaker 1: want that you might dig too? Say what then you're
- 51:16Speaker 1: gonna find right over in there? So you're trying to
- 51:20Speaker 1: you you're trying to dig a grave from me? Do
- 51:22Speaker 1: you know this thing? I've been trying to get these here?
- 51:25Speaker 1: Stop crying, Ma, may I did you with his body?
- 51:30Speaker 1: I did you, baby? I understand what you're gonna do.
- 51:36Speaker 1: I do, I do it. I told you I don't
- 51:40Speaker 1: want craz is here, and I want you could have
- 51:43Speaker 1: like a couple of digging on somebody about it man
- 51:46Speaker 1: over calling or push I got it. I just tried
- 51:50Speaker 1: to call you like a man because I want to
- 51:53Speaker 1: get the comb and brush. And I didn't want to
- 51:55Speaker 1: go without give your permission, maup. I gotta go without
- 51:58Speaker 1: getting your permission. We are always read. You don't know

- 53:48Speaker 1: the police and the community is demanding justice. His family

- 53:55Speaker 1: at forty one after this hour, so make sure you're
- 53:58Speaker 1: here for that. And we're gonna which gears now with
- 54:00Speaker 1: the nephew. Um, come on, it's time for the Strawberry letter.
- 54:05Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry alright, subject totally confused. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 54:11Speaker 1: I've been dating this guy for the past couple of months.
- 54:15Speaker 1: We actually moved in with each other. He is married
- 54:18Speaker 1: and expecting a baby. His wife does not live in
- 54:21Speaker 1: the same state that we're in. At the beginning of
- 54:23Speaker 1: this relationship, we had discussed the what ifs, but we
- 54:27Speaker 1: decided to take it day by day. Well, we moved
- 54:30Speaker 1: in together and it's complicated. He flies out to see
- 54:34Speaker 1: his wife, and the wife wants to come to the
- 54:36Speaker 1: state that we're in, but he does not want that,
- 54:39Speaker 1: and neither do I. The problem that I have is
- 54:42Speaker 1: that we have gotten so close and he told me
- 54:44Speaker 1: that he loved me. I am starting to fall in
- 54:46Speaker 1: love with him, but I know that there is no
- 54:49Speaker 1: future in this relationship. This is the best relationship that
- 54:53Speaker 1: I have had. I am so confused. This is a
- 54:58Speaker 1: crazy letter. You you known a guy for two months
- 55:01Speaker 1: and you guys move in. You don't even love this guy? Uh,
- 55:04Speaker 1: If this nothing relationship is the best you've ever had,
- 55:09Speaker 1: then you've got to ask yourself, why why is this?
- 55:12Speaker 1: I mean, who are you? I just have to ask
- 55:15Speaker 1: you that. And don't you know that this is wrong? Well,
- 55:18Speaker 1: if you don't know this is because in the letter
- 55:20Speaker 1: it doesn't seem like you know that this is just
- 55:22Speaker 1: not right. You don't move in with a married man.
- 55:25Speaker 1: You don't move in with any man after two months,
- 55:27Speaker 1: let alone a married man. Nothing good can come out
- 55:30Speaker 1: of this relationship. You're playing with a dangerous game, potentially
- 55:34Speaker 1: deadly game. Here. Uh, you are living in a house
- 55:38Speaker 1: with a married man. You said you're discussed the what ifs.
- 55:41Speaker 1: Well here's what if for you? What if his wife
- 55:44Speaker 1: decides to surprise him one day and walk in on you? Guys?
- 55:49Speaker 1: All right, did you discuss that what if? I mean
- 55:52Speaker 1: you haven't thought any of this out, have you? How
- 55:56Speaker 1: in the world did he get you to agree to
- 55:58Speaker 1: something like this, to move in with him after two
- 56:01Speaker 1: months and he's married. Um, I just have to just
- 56:05Speaker 1: say this to you. Pack up your bags immediately and
- 56:09Speaker 1: move out of this house. Pack up and get out,
- 56:12Speaker 1: all right? This is crazy. You cannot be stupid in
- 56:15Speaker 1: this situation. So I just wanted to clear up some
- 56:18Speaker 1: of the confusion for you. This is wrong, wrong, wrong,
- 56:21Speaker 1: and you could get killed. All right, I can tell
- 56:24Speaker 1: you by surprise, Steve. Yeah, yes, yeah, you're so much
- 56:32Speaker 1: wrong with this letter. First of all, you know, it
- 56:37Speaker 1: started off like we were gonna feel sorry for you
- 56:41Speaker 1: because you got caught up in another lying man who
- 56:44Speaker 1: was married and didn't tell you. But that's not the case.
- 56:48Speaker 1: You knew going in that the dude was married and
- 56:52Speaker 1: his wife was expecting, and she lives in another state.
- 56:55Speaker 1: You went into this knowing, so there is no sorriness
- 57:00Speaker 1: you and I don't know what you expect me or
- 57:02Speaker 1: surely to tell you, but do let me say this.
- 57:06Speaker 1: His wife does not live in the same state that
- 57:08Speaker 1: we are in. At the beginning of this relationship, we
- 57:12Speaker 1: had discussed the what else, but we decided to take
- 57:16Speaker 1: it day by day. Okay, the what else? Okay, let
- 57:19Speaker 1: me ask you some after y'all discussed the what else?
- 57:23Speaker 1: What y'all say, because I'm trying to figure out how
- 57:27Speaker 1: you all discussed the what else? And then after discussing
- 57:31Speaker 1: all the what else, y'all went forward with this. Okay,
- 57:36Speaker 1: are you leaving your wife? Probably not? How long? How
- 57:40Speaker 1: many months is your wife expected? Does your wife know
- 57:43Speaker 1: about me, probably not. Uh, suppose I get pregnant. We'll
- 57:48Speaker 1: just take that day by day. What's gonna happen when
- 57:51Speaker 1: the baby's born? What are you gonna do as the
- 57:54Speaker 1: father and the husband? I don't know. I probably have
- 57:57Speaker 1: to move on back over there. They move in here?
- 58:00Speaker 1: What if? What if things get a little more supposed
- 58:03Speaker 1: I get pregnant, I don't know what? What? What else?
- 58:06Speaker 1: Was y'all two idiots discussing? And that made y'all go, okay,
- 58:11Speaker 1: all right, we didn't discuss every the what else? And
- 58:14Speaker 1: most of the what else in this is all wrong?
- 58:16Speaker 1: After you discussed all of the what else? What made
- 58:20Speaker 1: y'all move in together? I have to assume that we're
- 58:25Speaker 1: talking about two real life idiots here. I mean we
- 58:30Speaker 1: I'm just the only thing we got to be talking.
- 58:34Speaker 1: The two of you are just two of the most
- 58:36Speaker 1: airhead asked people that evidence sat down and had a
- 58:40Speaker 1: damn discussion and and and and both of y'all so
- 58:43Speaker 1: stupid that you didn't know that the other one was stupid,
- 58:46Speaker 1: because once you sit down and what if this situation?
- 58:49Speaker 1: Note none of the what else is good? And and
- 58:53Speaker 1: and and it's and it's just crazy. You moved in
- 58:57Speaker 1: with a dude you ain't new but a I pull
- 59:00Speaker 1: the months. It's one thing to have sex with a
- 59:04Speaker 1: guy that you ain't knew about a couple of months.
- 59:07Speaker 1: You the moody man who but he married and he's
- 59:15Speaker 1: expecting a baby? Who are you? It does don't make
- 59:20Speaker 1: no damn sense. This is got to be the most
- 59:26Speaker 1: blatant form of stupidity I've seen, other than that strawberry letter.
- 59:31Speaker 1: When we had that lady slept with her two damn
- 59:34Speaker 1: son in law's further than that one. And the one
- 59:39Speaker 1: that took slept with her dad after she found out
- 59:42Speaker 1: he was her dad. I mean, well, no, no, they was.
- 59:45Speaker 1: They were sleeping together before and then it wasn't a
- 59:49Speaker 1: pregnancy test of nothing to said, it was a dad.
- 59:51Speaker 1: I I that that one right here. This one hit him. No,
- 59:55Speaker 1: I mean I didn't. I didn't really care about that
- 59:57Speaker 1: because let me just you know, once you find once
- 59:59Speaker 1: you take the paternity test, you find out is your
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: daddy and you still sleeping with him. Now, now both
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: of y'all is a sickness. Now see we off into sickness.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: See we're in therapy. This ain't therapy right here, just
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: two dumbass people and got together and done just some
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: dumbass mess And now she wrote a dumb ass letter
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: like we posted, be all right with this? Here goes
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: and then and then okay, then here the problem that
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: I have. Okay, his wife wants to come to the
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: state win, but he does not want that, and neither
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: do I wasn't that wanted to what else? But then
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: guess what she said? The problem that I have is
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: that we have gotten so close and he told me
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: that he loved me. I'm starting to fall in love
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: with him. That ain't the problem. This, this ain't the
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: damn problem. This is the problem. This is the problem.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Whoa whoa, whoa whoa all the southern before. Now that
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: the threat of heart wanting to come this all of
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: a sudden is the damn it is the problem. You're listening,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Steve Hardy Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on, let's
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: go to part two of your response to today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: What you got right now, She's been dating this guy
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: for two months. They move in. She knowingly moved in
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: with this man who is married and expecting the baby.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: His wife don't live in the same state, and at
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: the beginning of the relationship, they discussed the what else,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: but they decided to take it day by day. Well
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: that's stupid. What day by day? You didn't think none
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: of these days we're gonna go. You don't think the
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: wife was ever gonna want to visit. You ain't think
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: he was gonna have to do something about that baby coming? What? What?
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: What if did y'all discussed and decided, Yeah, we should
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: move on with this ignorant relationship. Now the wife wants
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: to come to the state that we are in, but
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: he does not not. She don't want to come to
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: the state and visit. She want to move to the state.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: But now listen to this, he does not want that,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: and neither do I. How to give a damn what
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: either one of y'all want. You ain't the wife, and
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: you ain't having the baby. You the other chick, You
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: the chick on the side. You don't get no votes.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: I don't know why people man all of a sudden think,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: thank you're gonna get votes and rights up in here?
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: They how this work? He don't want that. The problem
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: that I have is that we have gotten so close
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: that he told me he loved me, and I'm starting
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: to fall in love with him. How the hell you
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: to move in with somebody you ain't in love with
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: the first damn place? But I know that there's no
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: future in this relationship. This is the best relationship that
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: I have had. I am so confused. Okay, Now, first
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: of all, if this is the best relationship you've ever had,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: you have to redefine what a good relationship is and
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: should All right, Steve, you know we gotta get out
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: of here. We gotta go email us or or instagram
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: us your thoughts on today's Strawberry Letter at my girls
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: Shirley uh, and don't forget this. Coming Thursday, I will
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: be doing the Strawberry Letter live after show on Facebook
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: at one thirty p m. Eastern Time. Please join me. Okay,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: switching gears, what you gonna do? I just saw right?
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: All right? Well, Steve, I gotta tell you this. Kevin
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Hart tried to get Lebron James to come on over
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: to the Land of Cheesecake, Rocky and the two thousand
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: eighteen Super Bowl champs. You know what I mean talking
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: about Philly. Of course, Kevin sent Lebron James forty dollars
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: and said, come to Philadelphia. So Steve. According to Kevin,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: what was Lebron's response, What do you think he said
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: coming around day Philadelphi? Uh, yeah, Steve, that's kind of
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: what he said. According to Kevin, Lebron's response to him was, uh,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: kiss his you know what? But yeah, yes, I knew
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: you would. And he down there anyway, Kevin is right there.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: You don't take much, no, ke Yeah. Kevin went on
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: to say, I don't see him leaving Cleveland. I just
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: don't see it. I think he gone coming in l A.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: It ain't enough talent in that on l A right now.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Ball need another year. I'm starting to like that ball
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: kid more and more I've seen though, But I mean
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: they got it. Took a couple of cloths. He got
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: a house out here. But I don't know, man, if
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: he leaves. But see you what y'all understand is now
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: sadly though, and I do not like the fact that
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Golden State is hurting right now. I do not like
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Steph having an injury, the Red got an injury, Draymond
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: got an injury, and Clay Gota in Right now, we
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: could whip Golden State as in the ground if we
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: played the team they put out that the other day,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: but that ain't gonna happen. So hopefully Golden State to
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: get healthy because I want them healthy, want everybody on
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: the court on the court. But right now, as as
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: the Cavaliers are coming back, love uh the young boyd
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: A couple of boys. We got this hurt because a
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: lot of calves is hurt. Once they get healthy. Man,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: hey man, I think the Cow's gonna make a run
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: at it. Yeah, you know, but but trust me, Houston
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: shutting everybody down this Yeah, don't don't sleep on sutting
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: everybody the Houston. Houston is having a great year. Yes, yeah,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: I'm a reserve mine until we get to the playoffs.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: I've seen us in the playoffs because y'all, y'all can
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: y'all can get past send it tone got a hard
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: time getting in right now. That was the troublemakers for y'all.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: The Thunder is not playing because the only one really
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: balling is Westbrook. As usual, Paul George when he ain't hurt,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: he bawled mellow and mentally hit the shot in three
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: weeks in the game. Mellows just not in it. Mentally,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: he got some other stuff going on, I think, and
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: so you don't have to worry about him. Sacramento ain't.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Portland's got a little squad, but they don't have enough experience.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: And you know, you know, La Lakers. Come on now,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: let's let's cut this out. I'm just happy you've said
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: some names I've heard so I can like. So it's
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: Houston and Golden State right now, right now. They couldn't
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: beat the Houston Rockets like Golden State. No, no, not.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: But you'd have to hope all of them stay out.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: But they're not gonna stay out. They're gonna come Houston talk.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: But if Houston played the Cavaliers, they can't eat the Capitals. Well,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: who the who the hell said that? I just did
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: get a little bit more energy. It don't matter what
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: the hell. Right now, I can get your ass on
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: the forty right now the way you sign, I raise
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: your ass right now and could win this morning. M hmm.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: I'll blow out both my hands strange, but my lips
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: across the tape. I'm going. All I gotta do is
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: lean and get the lips out here on that tape.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: I won't have a ham strained calf muscle. She and
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: my kneecaps will blow off. If I try to run
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: a full blown forty, I'm runna eight eight. Betty said, think, yeah,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: that's all I got for you. I can run eight.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: A matter of fact, I don't even take that long.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Did you run track, Steve? Oh yeah? Wait? What wait? What? Wait? What?
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: We gotta go guys coming up in ten minutes. It
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: it's time to get serious on this show. Attorney Benjamin
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Crump will be here. He's going to be our special guest.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: As the demand of for justice UH continues for Stefan
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Clark out of Sacramento. You're listening to the stew Hey,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: listen to everybody you know the Sacramento, California area, and UH.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Entire nation remains in the state of unrest over the
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: death of Stephen Clark, the twenty two year old black
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: male who was shot twenty times by police in the
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: backyard of the home where he lived with his grandparents.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Police reported that they believed he had a gun, but
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: authorities recovered only a cell phone near his body. Over
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: the weekend, protested to to the streets of Sacramento demand
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: injustice for the fatal shooting of Stefan Clark. Clark's family
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: has retained civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump, and he's joining
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: us this morning with some information on the murder investigation.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Please welcome to the show again, sadly, but it is
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: what it is, Attorney Benjamin Crump, Steve Sherley. In time
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: they call everybody Jake than well Man. Attorney Clark, what
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: can you tell us about what happened that night leading
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: up to the murder of Stefan Clark. You know, just
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: like Terrence Crutcher's case in Oklahoma that you did an
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: incredible interview with. Just like that case, they had a
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: helicopter in the air looking down on everything that happened.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: And in this particular case, we know from the helicopter
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: video in the audio a lot of things. We know
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: number one that Stephen Clark did not have a gun,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: no gun. Stefan Clarke made no threats against the police.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: The police never identify themselves to Stephane Clarke when they
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: executed him, literally executed him Steve and his grandmother's backyard
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: where he lived. And after they executed him, they offered
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: him no humanity. The police gave him no humanity as
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: he laid there dying on the ground for over six
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: minutes before they approached them and then they handcuffed them
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: when they were he was lying motionless on the ground, Steve.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: And then after that they're one of them said uh,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: some profane language, and then a super bowl of somebody
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: in the helicopter said mutual mikes, and then they all
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: muted their microphones. And that's where the family really believes
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: they started to conspire to misleads so they can try
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: to justify this execution of their loved one. Now returning crowd,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: you you have the recording from the helicopter. I take it, yes, sir, okay,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Now once again this seems open ship. This this this again,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: you know, just appears to be opening shot. If that's
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: the evidence, let me ask you this, because you you
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: had alluded to it. Where was the halt? Get on
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: the ground, put your hands up, cross your fingers behind
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: your head. Where was that? The whole encounter lasted seventeen
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: seconds before they started shooting, and you don't take being
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: front word for it. Steve, and like air, all of
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: the people and Steve harbind nation to go on YouTube
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: and watch the Stephan Clark execution video because that's what
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: it was. Something playing and they didn't do this when
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: a young white boy shot up our school in Florida,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: they didn't shoot him one time, but they shoot fish
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: young black bun who only had a cell phone twenty times.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: The guy who was bombing houses in Austin, Texas, they
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: followed him for hours, but they didn't shoot him, not
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: one time, but they shot this black boy with a
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: cell phone twenty times. And then they tried to deceive
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: us afterwards, Steve, because the next morning they said where
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: we had to shoot him like these many times because
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: he had a gun. Then they had to walk that backstage.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: And then the next day after that they said he
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: had a two bar or a crowbar, and then they
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: had to walk that back and then finally they came
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: clave and said all he had was a cell phone.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: So this is yet another unarmed man being killed by
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: the police unreasonably. See now, at at one point in time,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: you know, the Justice Department is gonna have to get
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: involved in all of these police shootings and take it
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: off of the state level, because what's what's happening is
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: if it stays on the state level, then the police
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: department does their business. We've got to get it on
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: federal level, and it has to start to be some
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: type of ramifications and consequences for killing unarmed people. Maybe
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: then it would force police departments everywhere to sharpen their training.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: There's gotta be away because all these people keep getting
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: shot is black, and there's gotta be a way to
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: have some type of training. But once again, I'm gonna
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: say this, the problem with the training is if you
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: notice when you look at gun rangers and all that,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: all the targets they shoot at they're black. They are
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: on white paper and they're black. And I just think, man,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: that's just me. I just think there's a correlation there
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: that when you see the black figure you produced to kill, shot,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: it's target practice. It's not policing at that point. It's
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: just target practice. Twenty two shots, twenty times. They shoot
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: at this boy for what donna take twenty times to
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: drop nobody when he failed? Could could you not have?
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Did let me see your hands? Let me see something?
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: I'm never never once they gave him a warning, stayed
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: never once. And I have to say that, Steve, because
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: I think what makes this so compelling is the fact
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: that his grandmother, his little sister, his grandfather, they were
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: in the house and his grandmother sleeps in the bedroom
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: with the winder that he was at when they were
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: shooting him. So for the rest of her life she
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: sleeps in the bed knowing that a few feet await
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: her grandson was executed. And when you hear her tell
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: the story, Steve, she says the police, cause they called
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: not one one when they heard the shots. And so
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: then the police tell them, you know, at checking on everything,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: don't come out the house, don't look out the windows
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: and everything, there was a shooting in the backyard, and
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: so they try to follow the police's instructions. It's around
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: nine thirty when this happens. The next morning grandfather has
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: to go to dialysis. The next morning at around seven am.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: Founding the police come and asked her, as grandfather is
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: going to dalysis, do you have a photograph of Stefan,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: and she said, you know. Her answer her answers, yes,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: I hope y'all didn't kill one of my grandboys backyard
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: because they always be out there sitting at the picnic table,
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: not knowing that her grands was actually killed. And so
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: she was just when she found out that they did
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: indeed kill one of her grand boys, who he himself
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: is the father of two young children. Hey, listen to everybody.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Stick around. We'll be right back with more with from
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: attorney Benjamin Crump. You're listening to listen to everybody. We're
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: back with Attorney Benjamin Crump. His his his brother. Nothing
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: happens to these police because you're a police. It does
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: not give you an authority to murder someone. Now. Look,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: the majority of the police officers are good people. The
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: majority of them are. The majority of them have signed
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: up to do exactly what they claimed to said they
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: want to do, serve and protect the community. The majority
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: of them are. And I'm not this is not against
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: all police. I know a lot of really great police officers,
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: but it's the few, the few to get through the cracks,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: those people that have those preconceived notions of black people.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: M h that ain't got no problem putting one down.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: I want to have something to do. You shoot a
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: boy twenty times who ain't firing back, throwing nothing at
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: you to throw. He didn't throw the crow bout the
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: window that you said he had that he didn't have.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: He didn't shoot the gun that you said he had
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: that he didn't have. He ain't threw the phone at you.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: None of that. He didn't make one aggressive move towards you,
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: and it requires twenty shots. That's that's that's over, kid,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: that's crazy. It's Stephen Jay. Let me tell you all
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: this because I am a national civil rights lawyer and
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: beat there with this stuff more times than the media
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: every reports. The Soviet reality is that seventy three the
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: families since two thousand if teams have experienced the same
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: exact thing. More than seconent three black men in America
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: have had their lives cut short about police buds and
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: let me highlight not on black man. They all thought
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: they had a weapon and it turned down they had nothing.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: Seventy three How many did you guys? How many? How
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: many whites has this happened to? You know, Steve? They
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: said it's not they not a two percent African Americans
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: get shot compared to eight percent white men. Can you
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: can you just think about that for a second. It's
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: very rare. They're gonna shoot a white person, They're gonna
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: get them the benefit of the doubt, the benefit of consideration.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: But for whatever reason, black and brown people don't get
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: that same benefit. And that's whether it's all about equal
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: justice and due process. We don't want anything special. We
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: just won't our children to be given the same consideration
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: that you give everybody else's children, whether they're in Austin, Texas,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: are Parkman f Loida, We love our children too. And
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: the other thing is these police officers usually get off
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: usually yeah, they're definitely, yeah, they're unpaid leave now unless
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: they just retired like the dude did in Ferguson. Yeah
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: he just went on got out. Yeah. But man, this
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: but seventy five, seventy three, seventy five unarmed unarmed. Now,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: we ain't talking about the ones who you know exactly
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: exactly may have had a gun that they didn't pull out,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: or found a gun in the car something like that.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: We talk about completely unarmed people. But how many of
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: them have we've seen on tape? We've seen countless of them.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: The video man just overhead. Now, if you tell a
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: police officer like Coustill you I think that's his name,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: he told him, yep, I got a gun in armor.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: Oh here we go, man, that's it's it's really sad.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: So yes, sir, no, no, go ahead, So I think Steve,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: until we make them care about our black children like
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: they care about their own black children. No police officers
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: are gonna ever go to jail because as a girl,
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: gredibly as it is to say, black lives just don't
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: matter that much in our criminal justice system, say they do.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: See the the slogan has to change to black lives
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: matter also. That's all we're saying, because every time we
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: come up with a slogan, they put a spin on it. Okay,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: black lives matter, white lives matter too, But we we
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: didn't say they didn't. What we really meant was I
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: was shouldn't matter too. You know. It's it's like, look,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: it's like it's like this great campaign that women have
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: me too. See they did it very smartly. Me too.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: That's inclusive of everybody. It's me too. See that's how
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: you do it. Let's see black lives matter too. To
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: see that includes everybody. It includes the same as Asian lives,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: white lives, Latino lives. It just it just it just
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: matters too. And man, we we we've got to give
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: me him. Okay, okay, let measures what's the next step
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: in this case? Were the next step? And you know,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Sacramentary is a democratic city, so there's hope that they're
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: going to respond with some action. They have a black
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: police chief, Steve uh who was bought in to hand
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: to specifically these types of situations. So the next step
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: is the funeral is going to be on Thursday UM
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: at the City commissioned Lee and they're gonna have it
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: next week on their agenda where citizens can come and
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: express themselves to their elected leaders. What I hope will
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: be everybody goes down to that City commission meeting and
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: people from around the nation figure out how we can
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: call in or email in to that City commission and
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: tell them that this needs to be an independent and
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: fair investigation because right now, Steve, they investigating themselves and
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: that's never good. We didn't saw how that turned out
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: in Ferguson how that turned out of stating out and
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: with Eric Gardner holsame it's never good when they investigate themselves.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: So I don't know if we can get any federal
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: support with who we have in the White House right now.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: So we go to take this upon ourselves and say
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: the Attorney General California needs to take over this case. Yeah, man,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: thank you. Sorry we always got to talk on solemn occasions, man,
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: but thank you for being a rock out there in
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: the strength and the show that people can lean on.
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: Man keep on being the soldier. Attorney Benjamin Crump, everybody,
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: thank you, sir, Thank you Stram. People you're listening to
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, guys, there's been an important
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: addition to the Royal Wedding. We haven't talked much about
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: the Royal Wedding. So much going on here, you know. Yeah,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: we haven't talked about but Megan Markle, the sister from California, right,
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: and she was on the show suits. Um, well she's
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: going to marry Prince Harry. Okay, yeah, so, um, an
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: addition has been made to the Royal Wedding guest list. Um,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Megan Markel and Prince Harry uh intend to share their
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: their The wedding is May nineteen. They want to share
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: it with as much of the public as possible, it says.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: Kensington Palace infirmed earlier this month that more than two
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: thousand guests will also include two hundred people from Prince
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: Harry's charity, six hundred ten Windsor Castle community members and
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: five hundred and thirty members of the Royal Household and
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: Crowned Crown Estate. So that's a lot of people right here.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: That's a big yeah it is. And yet for all
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: the public knows about the wedding so far, there's still
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: mysteries that remain. Like people have been talking about will
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: the Spice Girls be there because you know they're from
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: England and everything they started over there. I'm talking mail
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: by all of them, everybody. Uh yeah, yeah, posh, all
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: of them? Baby yeah? Will they really um, you know,
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: bring the ninety nineties back to winsor cancel with a
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: performance on that day? All of that. People have been
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: talking about doing the reception where they have like a
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: soul food section. Oh for Megan Marco, they might you
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: know made her mom is going to be there. But
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: but but but up until now, her dad wasn't coming.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: But one such remaining question seemed to have been been
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: answered now, Like I said over the weekend, Thomas Markle Sr.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: That is Megan Markle's dad, father of the bride. He
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: will be in attendance. This is yeah, this is according
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: to a report from The Son magazine or yeah, the Son.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: While one would think of father attending a wedding, you know,
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: no big deal, right, If your father is alive, why
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: wouldn't he come to the wedding and give you away. Well, um,
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: you know, people wouldn't think that was such a big deal.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: But his attendance wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion. According to
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: a report, he is known to live a very secluded
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: life in Mexico. Megan did not invite her half sisters,
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: Samantha Grant, nor her half brother, so they're not coming.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: Thomas Senior is overjoyed to be beside his little girl
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: on the day she becomes a princess, even if he
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: has to battle his demons to get there. I think
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: were they saying he was an alcoholic or something he
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: had fallen on hard times or something. Earlier this year,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: word got out that Megan's mother would walk her down
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: the aisle. Now that's a modern tradition. You know, the
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: Royals are steeped in tradition, So having your mom walk
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: you down the aisle, they're kind of like, you know,
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: my mom walked me down the aisle. I had issues,
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: you know, with my wedding with my dad, and I
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: didn't asked my dad to walk me down. Okay, yeah,
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: so my mom did, But you know, I walked myself
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: down there. My mom was sitting on the front of you.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: I walk well usually yeah, usually guys. The groom, Yeah,
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: go down by themselves. Yeah. The act is the father
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: is giving the daughter away to you the groom, to
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: take her and protect her. But you know what, it's
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: kind of cool though, Tommy, because some wedding thing family. Yeah,
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: I get you. I mean you can change it's tradition
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: for yeah, but you can do it like she was
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: changing it, you know, to have her mom take her down.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: Now she's going to also be on her dad's arm.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: So that's what it says so far. We'll see again.
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: The wedding is man and everybody's looking forward to May nine.
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back with more of the Steve
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. The ratings are in. The Stormy
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: Daniels interview got the highest ratings for sixty minutes in
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: a decade, that is ten years ten years ago. The
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: second highest ratings were the Obama's after the two thousand
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: and eight election. But now, Steve Stormy daniels sixty minutes
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: interview can't be good for the president on the home
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: front with his wife Melania. Uh, Stormy Daniel Daniels claimed
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: that she what are you going right now? It's so
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: much hal at dead house? Right? Can please? He can't
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: go to Malago, He can't go to Trump Towers and
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: that damn east wing. She weaenth over on the west wind.
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: Little Byron only played in the roles. Darn, he don't
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: even come up that by the windows, Little Byron, pull
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: little Byron. I feel sorry, little dude. You know he
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: just over there going man, them kids at school going there,
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: your dad, everybody, you know. And he ain't fighting no ball,
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: is he? You know? Here, he don't fight it though,
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: he ain't whipping nobody. See, I'll be up at the school.
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: A lot of big spills. Oh yeah, that's oh yeah.
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: I hope he's going to school with snappy comebacks. Because
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: he needed all of her your mama's first. He needed
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: bag right, barn is gonna be okay because his mama
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: fined mama. You know my mama come up to the school.
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: You knew she was mama. You know she had that
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: coat on the handle, buttons on it, ld it with
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: one and when she let it go, it was just
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: the backhand. Mind. Are you saying that I got my
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: hand at school. Man. But anyway, he's struggling that what's
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: happening at Don's house. Let me, let's explain to you
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: what he wants to talk to the media right now.
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: He back, He wants to walk into the war room
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: because the war room got more peace in it than
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: the room. That war room. Here in the war room,
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: just walking back, probably talking to him and chuckle, Slovakia
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: being gonna hug finger. What she custing him? What did
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: they say something? Man? Probably you can it's a place
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: and he can't call his son. He same they talking
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: to him, John Trump Jr. You mean oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: Oh all right, love girl. He had wait, wait one more,
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: one more time coming up. Closing remarks at forty nine
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: after you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: here we are at the last break of the day. Um, Steve,
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: We've had a good day, talked about a lot of stuff,
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: and of course, as usual, it is time for your
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: closing remarks today. I want to keep it positive, but
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: I want to keep it encouraging at the same time.
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: And always as usual, I just wanna say this before
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: I start. It's not the I think I know everything
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: because I don't. But in my sixty one years, I
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: have learned quite a bit. I have learned how to
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: come from the back towards the front. I've learned how
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: to be at the bottom and work my way to
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: towards the top. I've learned how to get over because
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: I've been under I've learned how to win because I
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: have lost so many times. I've had a learned how
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: to develop an understanding because I have been more than
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: confused before. So I have paid for these lessons that
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: I've learned. So I'm just sharing, and that's all I'm doing.
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: You don't have to take any of this that I
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: say too harder. You may choose to go another way.
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: But for those that are really open to just hearing
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: some theories of success, that's why I decided to start
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: doing close and remarks again. Today I want to talk
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: to you about something that really helps everybody, and it's
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: very s Boy. Get focused. You gotta get focused, folks.
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: You've got to become what I call laser being driven.
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: You've got to set your goals and visions up, and
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: you've got to put those blinders on that you see
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: on the horse. See the reason they put the blinders
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: on the horse is so that the horses peripheral vision
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: doesn't distract him. If you have up in New York
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: and you see those carriages going around Central Park, all
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: those horses have on blinders. It's so that they can
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: keep the attention of the horse straight ahead. Blinders are
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: very good. If you want to be successful, you're gonna
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: have to put on a pair of blinders. That's so
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: your eyes when you look left or right, it forces
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: you to get them back out front the way you're
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: trying to go see because those blinders block out distractions.
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: They block out distractions because they know you got to
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: get laser being focus. If you want to be successful,
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: you have to focus. You have to stop veering off track.
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: You're just making the journey longer. You know. They say
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: the quickest way from point A to B is a
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: straight line. Now in life, it doesn't work that way.
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: There's no straight lines. But you can avoid some of
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: the detools, some of the distractions. But you gotta quit
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: veering off track. Everybody come to you. You can't participate
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: in everything. Hey man, we're going out tonight. Hey man,
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: we're going over here this weekend. Hey man, come on, man,
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: you ain't gotta study. We're getting ready to do this. Hey, man,
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: don't worry about that. We're going a happy hour. Come on, man,
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: you can't go to everything. Stop veering off track. Next,
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: look at it like this. Get your mind made up.
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: Get your mind made of what you want to have
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: in your life, the legacy you want to leave, what
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: you want people to think of you as, how much
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: money you really want to make, Where are you really
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: trying to go, How do you really want to be viewed?
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: What do you really want to accomplish? Get your mind
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: made up. Here's another way to look at it. Make
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: a decision. Stop stop just wandering around. Life is a
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: series of decisions. Make one. Just make a decision today.
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: Make a decision. In other words, come to a conclusion. Man,
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: Just sit up and say to yourself, you know what,
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: this is the deal for me, This is what works
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: best for me. This is who I really am. Skip
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: the outside interference from your friends and your and your
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: relatives of what they think you all to be, and
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: do what's really good for you. Don't nobody know what's
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: best for you better than you. Come to a conclusion.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: Make a decision, set a goal, have a vision, get thirsty.
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: Won't something so bad that without it your mouth taste dry.
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: You got to get thirsty, man. See, when you're thirsty,
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: you got to get that quench. You have to quench
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: your thirst. And that's how you gotta pursue success. You
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: gotta pursue success like you're thirsty. You gotta be thirsty, man,
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: You gotta want something so bad that if you don't
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: get it, your mouth tastes dry. What are you thirsty for?
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: If you ain't thirsty for nothing, you ain't giving it
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: all you got. I'm telling you, man, this is how
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: I look at it. These are just some triggers that
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: I put in my head. Be relentless. You got to
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: be relentless about something. Being a relentless person has a
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: carryover effect. And if you get relentless about your dreams
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: and goals, do you know that makes you relentless about everything.
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: If you develop these positive characteristics about being success, that's
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: for you can get there. You got to get focused.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: You gotta stop veering off track. You gotta get your
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: mind made up. You gotta make a decision. You gotta
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: come to a conclusion. You gotta set a goal. You
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: gotta have a vision you gotta get thirsty. You have
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: to be relentless. If you're not, you will ve off track.
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: If you veer off track, you will never get to
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: where you're trying to go. You got to get focused, y'all.
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: It's as simple as that. And if you know how
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: to do it, ask God to show you how. That's
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: the other thing. No matter what I tell you, if
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: you include God and everything, I'm telling you that, it
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: becomes a lot simpler. You know, God can help you
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: get focused. Anything you're short of He got plenty of God,
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: And to make your dream come true. Business. God is
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: in the turn your life around business. God is in
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: the pullet together business. God in the get over business.
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: He can do it. So if you don't know how
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: to get focused and has God to help you get
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: focused and then make a decision to be focused and
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: get on with your life, make something happen to day.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: Those are my clothing remarks today. All right, See, hey,
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: can I tell y'all something can have a great weekend
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: for all? Steve Harvey contests no purchase necessary void where
