- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all have a suit on the down, giving
- 0:13Speaker 1: them like the million buck things in it to be
- 0:20Speaker 1: true good together for to please I don't join joining me.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta use that turn you're going to you, you
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out. Turn. You got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out to turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby, uh I share will a
- 2:04Speaker 1: good mart and everybody you are listening to the boss,
- 2:07Speaker 1: come on, give me now want and only Steve Harvey
- 2:11Speaker 1: got a radio show. Man, oh man, oh man? How
- 2:14Speaker 1: good is God to me? And part of the mission
- 2:17Speaker 1: and the reason that I have a radio show is
- 2:21Speaker 1: to become a share of more and more of a
- 2:24Speaker 1: share of you know. I used to hear my mother
- 2:27Speaker 1: say it to me all the time. But God blesses
- 2:29Speaker 1: you to become a blessing. And I think the more
- 2:32Speaker 1: you understand that about yourself, I think the more blessings
- 2:35Speaker 1: will flow your way. I think that once you understand
- 2:38Speaker 1: the principle, that you know it. But it's kind of
- 2:43Speaker 1: tied together with some other scriptures, and I'm not too
- 2:46Speaker 1: knowledgeable about them, of course, as usual, but I do
- 2:50Speaker 1: know what I've heard you know, and you know if
- 2:52Speaker 1: you look at something simple as do unto others as
- 2:55Speaker 1: you would have them do unto you, wouldn't you want
- 2:59Speaker 1: somebody to help you if you needed help. I just
- 3:02Speaker 1: know how to get it down there to where I've
- 3:05Speaker 1: been able to understand it. If there's a scripture similar
- 3:10Speaker 1: that it says do unto others as you would have
- 3:12Speaker 1: them do unto you, or if that's you know in
- 3:17Speaker 1: a prayer, would not you want somebody to help you
- 3:22Speaker 1: if you needed help? You've heard you reap what you sow.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Do you understand that if you so discord, that discord
- 3:34Speaker 1: is gonna come your way. That if you hate, hate
- 3:38Speaker 1: gonna come your way. If you blog nothing but negative
- 3:42Speaker 1: comments about people, your life will be filled with negativity.
- 3:46Speaker 1: If all you do is talk about people, then guess
- 3:49Speaker 1: what somebody got to turn that gun around and talk
- 3:51Speaker 1: about you. See, it just stands to reasons. So what
- 3:57Speaker 1: I've learned in my life and through all the trials
- 4:00Speaker 1: and tribulations that I've had, is to take those lessons
- 4:05Speaker 1: and share them with people in case you ain't heard
- 4:08Speaker 1: it from somebody else. See sometimes and the reason it
- 4:12Speaker 1: seems like I'm redundant at times, is what I am
- 4:16Speaker 1: is because I'm always trying to find a different way
- 4:19Speaker 1: to say the same thing. Because it's a funny thing. Man,
- 4:23Speaker 1: You got to hear it a certain way for it
- 4:25Speaker 1: to click with you. How many times have I heard
- 4:30Speaker 1: a saying and then I heard it a different way
- 4:35Speaker 1: that it clicked with me? You know, I've heard of
- 4:39Speaker 1: this saying right here, remember this now, everybody's not happy
- 4:43Speaker 1: for you. We've all heard that, right, everybody's not happy
- 4:47Speaker 1: for you. Well, that's very simple that I don't need
- 4:51Speaker 1: no explanation. That simply means of all the people you
- 4:55Speaker 1: know or do not know, when something happens to you
- 4:59Speaker 1: and you se celebrating it, everybody's not going to join
- 5:02Speaker 1: in on the celebration. That's all that is. But then
- 5:06Speaker 1: you take it one step further. My father used to
- 5:08Speaker 1: say something to me all the time. He says, son,
- 5:10Speaker 1: everybody come with you, can't go with you. I didn't
- 5:13Speaker 1: get that when I was fifteen. Everybody come with you
- 5:16Speaker 1: can't go with you. He said, you're gonna lose some
- 5:18Speaker 1: of these friends you got along the way. But I
- 5:21Speaker 1: don't care where you get in life. No this right here.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Everybody can't go with you. If you are constantly trying
- 5:28Speaker 1: to improve yourself, you constantly have to take assessment of
- 5:32Speaker 1: the people around you. Because if you are going to
- 5:35Speaker 1: continue to go and continue to grow, then guess what
- 5:39Speaker 1: you got to have people that's on the goal and
- 5:41Speaker 1: willing to grow, or else, guess what you're gonna learn
- 5:47Speaker 1: the valuable lesson. You know, the late boxing promoter Butch Lewis.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I was talking with Butch Lewis one time, and man
- 5:55Speaker 1: with a good brother man, he say, every successful man
- 6:00Speaker 1: doing what I call he got rope work to do.
- 6:03Speaker 1: He got rope work to do. He got to put
- 6:06Speaker 1: in work on rope. And I'm sitting there listening to
- 6:09Speaker 1: Butch Lewis and all the money he had made and
- 6:12Speaker 1: all the people's lives he had changed, and all of
- 6:14Speaker 1: the moves he was making, and his incredible skills as
- 6:17Speaker 1: a negotiator on behalf of some very very wealthy people.
- 6:21Speaker 1: He was just an amazing man with no education. But
- 6:24Speaker 1: he read everything. He butch Lewis read all that, all
- 6:27Speaker 1: the papers, all the periodicals. That brother knew everything. He said,
- 6:32Speaker 1: you got to put in rope. And I was sitting
- 6:34Speaker 1: there listening. He said, here is the analogy, little brother.
- 6:38Speaker 1: He said, you are on rope. There's a thick rope.
- 6:42Speaker 1: You have on no shirt, you have on some tattered clothes.
- 6:46Speaker 1: You have on no shoes. Your shorts is cut off
- 6:49Speaker 1: just below the knee, and they tattered, and you got
- 6:52Speaker 1: dirt on you and you're sweating. There's this huge, huge
- 6:56Speaker 1: raw rope over your shoulder that's burn marks on all
- 7:00Speaker 1: of your shoulder. Connected to that rope is a wagon.
- 7:04Speaker 1: That wagon has all your weight on it, all your responsibilities,
- 7:09Speaker 1: all the people you're responsible for, all your children, your wife,
- 7:14Speaker 1: your family members, your employees, your coworkers, your friends. They
- 7:19Speaker 1: all on that wagon. Man, they're just sitting there. He's saying,
- 7:23Speaker 1: what you gotta do is you gotta pull that wagon
- 7:26Speaker 1: up the heel. Now. The only thing with it is,
- 7:28Speaker 1: can't nobody help you pull your wagon. You pull your
- 7:32Speaker 1: wagon alone. He saying, Now, what you can do along
- 7:36Speaker 1: the way of pulling your wagon, as you can find
- 7:38Speaker 1: yourself a good wife, a good woman. He's saying that
- 7:42Speaker 1: what that woman does is she get down off the wagon.
- 7:45Speaker 1: She fan you while you pull it. She put water
- 7:48Speaker 1: on you while you pull it. She put stuff in
- 7:50Speaker 1: your mouth while you pull it. She kicked rocks out
- 7:53Speaker 1: the way while you pull it. But she but she
- 7:55Speaker 1: pull it for you. But she is equally as important
- 7:58Speaker 1: as you are on the all of the rope. He said,
- 8:01Speaker 1: you hear me clearly now, young soldier, He said, nah,
- 8:04Speaker 1: got this hell, He says, people on your wagon that
- 8:07Speaker 1: you're responsible for. But you want the people on your
- 8:10Speaker 1: wagon to help you get your wagon to the top.
- 8:13Speaker 1: So what you hope is that they got their foot
- 8:16Speaker 1: hanging over the side pushing, They got one leg over
- 8:20Speaker 1: the back, or maybe both legs over the back pushing.
- 8:23Speaker 1: They got they might have their butt on the wagon,
- 8:25Speaker 1: but they push you with both legs. They're back facing
- 8:28Speaker 1: your back, maybe some of them facing you when one
- 8:30Speaker 1: of them got left leg hanging over trying to push.
- 8:33Speaker 1: And you hope that all the people on the wagon
- 8:36Speaker 1: you pulling is back there at least trying to help
- 8:39Speaker 1: the wagon get to the top of the hill. Here
- 8:41Speaker 1: goes your problem. Though everybody ain't pushing, Everybody ain't pucking,
- 8:45Speaker 1: ain't baybody ain't pulling, Everybody ain't kicking rocks out the way.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You got some people on your wagon that's just laying
- 8:52Speaker 1: on the wagon drinking lemonade, looking at you, talking about
- 8:57Speaker 1: how long it's taking you to get your wagon up
- 8:59Speaker 1: to the looking at you, telling my whitest wagons so slow.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Then when you start picking up picking up speed, they
- 9:06Speaker 1: want you to pull harder, you to pull faster, you
- 9:09Speaker 1: to pull mole. Then they want you to throw what
- 9:11Speaker 1: you then earned on the way up the hill backed
- 9:14Speaker 1: on the wagon so they can have MO. But guess what,
- 9:17Speaker 1: they ain't helping you get more. But they got a
- 9:19Speaker 1: sense of entitlement that since you got mold, they should
- 9:22Speaker 1: have MO. Everybody come with you can't go with you.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Sometimes you gotta kick the people off the wagon that
- 9:29Speaker 1: ain't pushing and pull it and say, hey man, I'm sorry.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I thought I could do this with you, and I
- 9:34Speaker 1: thought you was going with me. But it's clear to
- 9:36Speaker 1: me you ain't nothing but dead weight. And it ain't
- 9:39Speaker 1: my responsibility to carry dead weight anymore. I have carried
- 9:43Speaker 1: you as long as I have to carry you. You
- 9:45Speaker 1: are no longer my responsibility. I'm responsible for my family,
- 9:49Speaker 1: my wife, my children. I'm not responsible for you. You
- 9:52Speaker 1: got to get off my wagon because I'm a man
- 9:55Speaker 1: on rope. I'm on a mission, baby, I'm pulling. You're
- 9:57Speaker 1: listening stry morning show ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourselves for
- 10:05Speaker 1: the enlightenment, the entertainment value, all the this Morning Show brings.
- 10:12Speaker 1: We're gonna give it to you. In the words of
- 10:14Speaker 1: the Old Jays, got to give the people, give people
- 10:19Speaker 1: what they want. Also in the words of the Old
- 10:23Speaker 1: jas Why for the love of money, cash money, dollar bills,
- 10:33Speaker 1: y'alls in the same group, in the words of o Jays,
- 10:38Speaker 1: Why because you've got your hooks in me. Yeah. The
- 10:49Speaker 1: reason you have your hooks in me is because I'm
- 10:52Speaker 1: aware by the same group a song called they smile
- 10:58Speaker 1: in your face, but all the time they're trying to
- 11:02Speaker 1: take your place. The back stabbles, back stables. I keep
- 11:11Speaker 1: getting all these visits from my friends. Yeah, oh are
- 11:18Speaker 1: They came to my home again and again and again.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Somebody's out it's too late. Then I'm calling my fellows.
- 11:32Speaker 1: They showed look shaved there. It is amazing the number
- 11:40Speaker 1: of things that dance around in my head. Yeah, and
- 11:43Speaker 1: I don't even want them to. Good morning, Shirley Strowd,
- 11:48Speaker 1: Good morning Steve Harvey, Happy Tuesday, Colin for Rell, never
- 11:55Speaker 1: mad at singing the Ojay's what's going on? Good morning
- 11:58Speaker 1: the man who knows nothing about what I just said.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Not a thing, not a thing. I know. I thought
- 12:08Speaker 1: he was to get stabbed in the back hoop. We'll
- 12:10Speaker 1: do that to you. J I was like pranks, Nephew
- 12:17Speaker 1: Times top top top Old James morning, hang hark Is
- 12:23Speaker 1: that song older than me? Evidently? Junior hold forty two?
- 12:34Speaker 1: See which one? Backstabbers? Uh? Forty two years old? Backstabbs? Nah? Really,
- 12:40Speaker 1: let's shack stabs June. We was here for understand that, Yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 1: Junior j I was here for the internet. Yeah, Backstabbers
- 12:56Speaker 1: was released seventy two. Junior song older than men? No, boy,
- 13:05Speaker 1: yeah it's not Joe sometimes. Yeah, it's gonna be a
- 13:12Speaker 1: great day to day. I'll feel pretty good, great on
- 13:16Speaker 1: the radio. Yellmen. I just feel more and more blessed
- 13:21Speaker 1: every day I wake up. I just feel better about
- 13:24Speaker 1: so beautiful God, A mighty thank you. Amen to that again.
- 13:32Speaker 1: All right, well, listen, coming up in thirty two minutes
- 13:35Speaker 1: after the hour, it is time to ask the CLO
- 13:38Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building right after this.
- 13:43Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, guys, Time now to ask the CLO.
- 13:49Speaker 1: This one is from Lucresia in Birmingham. Lucretia writes, I'm
- 13:53Speaker 1: a twenty eight year old engaged woman and my fiance
- 13:56Speaker 1: cheated on me several times before we got engaged. I
- 14:00Speaker 1: got tired of him cheating on me and I started
- 14:02Speaker 1: cheating back, but it's with someone that's close to him.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Before we get married. I think I need to come
- 14:09Speaker 1: clean about who I messed with. I kind of want
- 14:12Speaker 1: him to be hurt like he hurt me. If I
- 14:15Speaker 1: tell him, he may call our wedding off. Should I
- 14:18Speaker 1: get revenge and tell him or take the secret to
- 14:22Speaker 1: my grave? I don't think. I don't think y'all need
- 14:25Speaker 1: to get married. I really don't, because what's y'all's ambition?
- 14:30Speaker 1: You want to hurt him? Yeah, so you can tell him,
- 14:33Speaker 1: but then you don't want him to call off the marriage.
- 14:36Speaker 1: So you want to be married for what Jesus wants
- 14:39Speaker 1: a wedding? You know, y'all that ain't y'all? This is doomed. Yeah, yeah,
- 14:45Speaker 1: where you start this? This is y'all operating on no trust.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Y'all ain't trying to do better by each other. Y'all
- 14:52Speaker 1: ain't trying to get right y'all ain't trying to safeguard
- 14:55Speaker 1: each other's feelings right now? You want to Staying him
- 14:59Speaker 1: on the makes you think you need to open up
- 15:02Speaker 1: about this. So my suggestion after listening to this is,
- 15:07Speaker 1: y'all don't need to be married at all. You really don't.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Y'all need to go through something else. Why don't y'all
- 15:14Speaker 1: go to camp? They're doing something else. They don't for
- 15:17Speaker 1: something else. Yeah, y'all, you got back at him, y'all,
- 15:21Speaker 1: y'all ain't trying to do it. Yeah, he cheated and
- 15:24Speaker 1: cheat and then they got engaged. Then she cheated on him.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Two wrongs don't make around exactly exactly, all right? Moving on,
- 15:33Speaker 1: Kolbe and Michigan says, I'm a thirty seven year old
- 15:35Speaker 1: professional man, and I'm in a social group that my
- 15:38Speaker 1: parents belonged to for many years. After my dad passed,
- 15:42Speaker 1: rumors started swirling about my mom having an affair with
- 15:46Speaker 1: a wealthy member of the group. Then I heard his
- 15:49Speaker 1: wife is involved. Two like a three way love affair
- 15:53Speaker 1: type of thing. My mother has a brand new Mercedes
- 15:56Speaker 1: SUV and I never questioned it because she got a
- 16:00Speaker 1: nice insurance settlement from my dad's death. Rumors are that
- 16:04Speaker 1: this guy bought it. Do I confront my mom with
- 16:07Speaker 1: these rumors? You're gonna confront your mom about what? Why
- 16:12Speaker 1: are you in the same social group your mama? That's
- 16:15Speaker 1: the first question. I mean that part. First of all,
- 16:20Speaker 1: it's unimportant. It's very, very unimportant. And first of all,
- 16:26Speaker 1: wherever you heard this from, you have to whoever brings
- 16:30Speaker 1: you this information. You have to try to figure out
- 16:32Speaker 1: what they motivation is. Why ain't nobody just inadvertently said
- 16:37Speaker 1: this to you. Somebody bought this to you. You ain't
- 16:39Speaker 1: heard this. They knew you was around and they talked
- 16:42Speaker 1: about it. So now, really, man, and I don't know
- 16:47Speaker 1: what social group you in that your mama in. I'm
- 16:51Speaker 1: still trying to figure that one out. Man, I didn't
- 16:54Speaker 1: do it. I didn't do nothing with my mama. What
- 16:59Speaker 1: social group is me? And and women? You give me
- 17:01Speaker 1: you got Eastern Stalls and Masons, But what social group is? Yeah,
- 17:05Speaker 1: but they're not considered a social group. They they're on
- 17:09Speaker 1: a whole other level than that. So I don't know
- 17:12Speaker 1: what social group he talking about. I don't get that
- 17:16Speaker 1: man social group, So he shouldn't confronts no social club
- 17:23Speaker 1: like Ryland social club. Yeah, see, I've never heard. Maybe
- 17:28Speaker 1: I'm thinking I'm not sure that that could be true.
- 17:31Speaker 1: We never had that there'd be some old ass Jack
- 17:36Speaker 1: and Jia. Can they be old? What if you find
- 17:45Speaker 1: out what what you're gonna confront for? Right? Why need
- 17:49Speaker 1: that alone? Man? And first of all, ain't your business?
- 17:52Speaker 1: And secondly, ain't got nothing to do with you nothing?
- 17:57Speaker 1: All right? You know I really lost your father. Don't
- 18:00Speaker 1: get stupid now, all right? Moving on, Sachata and Tampa says,
- 18:04Speaker 1: I'm a thirty nine year old single woman and I'm
- 18:07Speaker 1: with a man that I love, but little things about
- 18:10Speaker 1: him annoy me. He's a finn man and he wears
- 18:13Speaker 1: big clothes to camouflage how small he is, but it
- 18:18Speaker 1: makes him look worse. His hair is thinning at the
- 18:21Speaker 1: top and he won't cut it, so you can see
- 18:24Speaker 1: right through his little afro. The most annoying thing is
- 18:28Speaker 1: that he uses the bathroom immediately after we eat, and
- 18:33Speaker 1: he's left me at the table for as long as
- 18:35Speaker 1: thirty minutes before in a restaurant. He's forty eight, So
- 18:39Speaker 1: do you think I can get him to change? Now?
- 18:43Speaker 1: First of all, let's go just bad food. He regular
- 18:49Speaker 1: and he emergency regular. Yeah, you know I'm gonna make
- 18:55Speaker 1: it to the house. No, I mean I'm at a
- 18:57Speaker 1: public rep You gotta get a little bit better grip
- 18:59Speaker 1: on yourself. That the bigg ass clothes and little ass
- 19:02Speaker 1: about it. I don't know what the till you could
- 19:04Speaker 1: buy him the right side clothes. Now he gonnaad to
- 19:08Speaker 1: get a hair cut. So you just because you said
- 19:12Speaker 1: you can see right through his little affrow, everything about
- 19:15Speaker 1: this man little I think he didn't got on your nerves.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Just what I sound like. She's with the man that
- 19:25Speaker 1: she loves. Yeah, you could love love now, but but
- 19:29Speaker 1: based on this letter, this fitting way out because you
- 19:33Speaker 1: you finding it's too much stuff you don't like. He
- 19:36Speaker 1: too damn much. He got these bigger as clothes on.
- 19:40Speaker 1: He looked and he got little affro and its ending
- 19:42Speaker 1: at the top. You're looking down on anybody do this.
- 19:50Speaker 1: He's right desert God, I'll be right back all right.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Moving on Turquoise And I heard radio app listener says,
- 20:01Speaker 1: I'm thirty four and my boyfriend is thirty two. He
- 20:04Speaker 1: scrolls on Instagram all day long, and he posts a
- 20:07Speaker 1: lot of pictures of himself. I post pictures too, but
- 20:09Speaker 1: he never seems to notice mine. He likes other women's
- 20:13Speaker 1: posts and will put the fire emoji under a picture
- 20:17Speaker 1: if he really likes it. I have told him that
- 20:19Speaker 1: is disrespectful, but he doesn't understand. I know it's petty
- 20:23Speaker 1: to break up over this. So what can I do
- 20:25Speaker 1: to get through to him? Well, how would he like
- 20:29Speaker 1: it if you put the five emojis under Nien's pictures?
- 20:33Speaker 1: Sometimes you got to let a person put the shoe
- 20:36Speaker 1: on the other foot, and you got to help. Sometimes
- 20:38Speaker 1: you got to slip it on that phone. See how
- 20:40Speaker 1: he liked that. If you don't want to break up
- 20:42Speaker 1: over then just let him see how it feel and
- 20:45Speaker 1: then maybe he'll stop. If not, after that, and and
- 20:47Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell, Thank you Selo. Coming
- 20:51Speaker 1: up next, it is a nephew would run that prank
- 20:53Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening to this Stave Harvey
- 20:58Speaker 1: Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 21:01Speaker 1: Miss Anna is standing by with Today's national news and
- 21:04Speaker 1: then entertainment news. We are all just loving, I mean
- 21:08Speaker 1: really loving, track star Shakery Richardson and singer Macy Gray
- 21:13Speaker 1: says it's time to change the American flag. What we'll
- 21:16Speaker 1: talk about all of these stories at the time of
- 21:18Speaker 1: the hour. But right now the nephew is here with
- 21:25Speaker 1: today's run that prank back. What you got for us, nap?
- 21:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you know what. I'm about to be stupid.
- 21:33Speaker 1: That's all I like to say. Workman's comp. Workman's comp.
- 21:37Speaker 1: That's the name of it. Work wiscom this this, this, this,
- 21:43Speaker 1: watch this row with me, watch its workman's comp. Let's go. Yeah, hello, hello,
- 21:54Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach your vincent. Please. Who's calling? My
- 21:59Speaker 1: name is uh Ed from the human resources? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely,

- 29:13Speaker 1: know coming up at the top of the hour, entertainment
- 29:16Speaker 1: and national news. Right after this, you're listening to morning show.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Well still trending. Black girl Magic news from the Track
- 29:27Speaker 1: and Field World, Dallas's own Chicarry Richardson rocking her won
- 29:33Speaker 1: the one hundred meters and secured her spot on the
- 29:36Speaker 1: USA Olympic track team. Congratulations to her, Yes, yes, take
- 29:41Speaker 1: a listen to her post race interview. So a major
- 29:46Speaker 1: state in terms of time. But what do you want
- 29:48Speaker 1: the world to know about what you just did in
- 29:50Speaker 1: the semifinal run? I just want the worlds to day
- 29:53Speaker 1: I'm that girl step on the track. I'm gonna try
- 29:57Speaker 1: to do what it is that me coach, my support
- 30:01Speaker 1: team believe I can do, and the and the talent
- 30:04Speaker 1: that God blass me to hell to do. Every time
- 30:06Speaker 1: I step gonna check. I'm never gonna take an opportunity
- 30:09Speaker 1: to perform for Jay and they love love with this girl.
- 30:16Speaker 1: I'm just rooting for blazing fast man. Yes she is.
- 30:20Speaker 1: She Moments after crossing the line, she carry ran up
- 30:24Speaker 1: to the stands, did you guys see this to embrace
- 30:26Speaker 1: her grandmother. I mean, she gave her the biggest hug.
- 30:30Speaker 1: She said, my grandmother is my heart, My grandmother is
- 30:33Speaker 1: my superwoman. She carry also revealed that she just lost
- 30:37Speaker 1: her biological mom last week, so she was running with
- 30:41Speaker 1: all this on her, you know, and she still won
- 30:44Speaker 1: and made it on the Olympic team. So congratulations. Yeah,
- 30:48Speaker 1: you were saying she crossed the line. Yeah, she pointed
- 30:50Speaker 1: every the time. You were saying her hair color means something, Carla. Yeah,
- 30:55Speaker 1: she said that her friend picked out the color orange,
- 30:57Speaker 1: and I think she said it dangerous. She changes her
- 31:00Speaker 1: hair color a lot. Yeah, so for orange, great pig.
- 31:06Speaker 1: It worked, giving you that blow Joe vibe, you know,
- 31:09Speaker 1: with her nails and that. Yeah, she was beautiful. Yeah,
- 31:12Speaker 1: she carry richardson all right. And other entertainment news, Macy
- 31:17Speaker 1: Gray says she thinks the American flag needs an update,
- 31:21Speaker 1: and in our bed for a market Watch, she writes
- 31:23Speaker 1: that for June teenth, the flag needs a change, especially
- 31:27Speaker 1: after the Capitol rioters hijacked its meaning on January sixth.
- 31:31Speaker 1: She says, like the Confederate flag, it is tattered, dated, divisive,
- 31:36Speaker 1: and incorrect. It no longer represents democracy and freedom. She writes,
- 31:41Speaker 1: if no longer represents all of us, it's not fair
- 31:45Speaker 1: to be forced to honor it. It's time for a
- 31:48Speaker 1: new flag. Among her suggestions, she wants a number of
- 31:52Speaker 1: stars to be increased to include Washington, d C. And
- 31:55Speaker 1: Puerto Rico. Plus she thinks the white stripe should be
- 31:58Speaker 1: off white because of because purity is broken and in pieces.
- 32:05Speaker 1: And she also suggests changing the color of the stars
- 32:09Speaker 1: from something that represents all of us, your skin, your
- 32:13Speaker 1: skin tone and mind. Now that's from Macy Gray. Ain't
- 32:18Speaker 1: nobody finn to do that. But what else we got
- 32:21Speaker 1: to work up? We got a lot to work on. Yeah,
- 32:29Speaker 1: the people change's correct. Yeah, you can't get folks to
- 32:35Speaker 1: change that flag. They fought you to take that Confederate flame. Now,
- 32:40Speaker 1: yeah they held. They're not feeling to add no DC
- 32:43Speaker 1: and no Puerto Rico. They ain't fit to do none
- 32:45Speaker 1: of that. Man, are you listening to what's going on
- 32:48Speaker 1: in this country? They're not all inclusive? She said, the
- 32:52Speaker 1: flag no longer represents that flag ain't ever represented all
- 32:56Speaker 1: of us, So just ain't nothing new. But they're nothing
- 32:59Speaker 1: to change that. What else we need to go do
- 33:04Speaker 1: we need and you know I'm not spending a date
- 33:08Speaker 1: down that trunk march on the flag nights. I don't
- 33:12Speaker 1: need to do warmity stars that all right. See, it's
- 33:16Speaker 1: time to go to headlines. Lazian and gentlemen, miss ann
- 33:19Speaker 1: trip Okay, Steve has spoken, this is a trip with
- 33:23Speaker 1: the news. Tropical Storm Claudette is churning its way out
- 33:26Speaker 1: to the Atlantic Ocean this morning, but it's left thirteen deaths,
- 33:29Speaker 1: eight of them children who would killed when the group
- 33:31Speaker 1: home van that they were in hydroplane into a car
- 33:34Speaker 1: just south of Montgomery, Alabama. Meanwhile, many residents in the
- 33:37Speaker 1: Chicago area are dealing with the aftermath of Sunday nights
- 33:40Speaker 1: destructive tornado in the Windy City. The twister ripped its
- 33:43Speaker 1: way through several heavily populated areas, leaving about one hundred
- 33:47Speaker 1: homes damage and a number of people injured. Other parts
- 33:50Speaker 1: of Midwest were also affected. Good news for college at
- 33:54Speaker 1: the least to US Supreme Court ruled yesterday that the
- 33:56Speaker 1: nc DOUBLEA has been in violation of anti trust law
- 33:59Speaker 1: and its efforts to limit compensation for student athletes. The
- 34:02Speaker 1: NCAA currently limits payments to students to tuition and expenses. However,
- 34:06Speaker 1: the High Court's decision now allows undergrads to receive things
- 34:10Speaker 1: like laptops and paid internships and other forms of non
- 34:13Speaker 1: cash gifts. The High Court did not decide whether athletes
- 34:16Speaker 1: can receive actual salaries, but you know that could be
- 34:18Speaker 1: around the band. That could be coming. Today, the US
- 34:21Speaker 1: Senate takes a trial vote on the new Democrat sponsored
- 34:25Speaker 1: voting rights bill. However, up till now, the GOP has
- 34:28Speaker 1: come out strongly against the measure, which White House Press
- 34:31Speaker 1: Secretary Jensaki says might require a plan B. Where do
- 34:35Speaker 1: we go from there? That is a conversation we're going
- 34:37Speaker 1: to have to have with leaders in Congress, with Democrats,
- 34:40Speaker 1: with a range of members who also want to see
- 34:43Speaker 1: advance as on voting rights, and expect the President will
- 34:45Speaker 1: engage with Senator Schumer and others on the path forward.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Any changes to Senate rules will require the support of
- 34:50Speaker 1: all fifty Democrats, which is not certain since West Virginia's
- 34:53Speaker 1: Joe Mansion has also come out against the new voting
- 34:56Speaker 1: rights bill, claiming that the old one is good, it
- 34:59Speaker 1: just needs a little tweak. Another black child shot to death,
- 35:02Speaker 1: this time a two year old Bryson Christian, who was
- 35:05Speaker 1: killed last Thursday strapped in his car seat in the
- 35:07Speaker 1: back of his family's car in Detroit. His nine year
- 35:10Speaker 1: old brother was also shot but survived. Believe it or not,
- 35:13Speaker 1: less than twelve hours after the vigil was held, a
- 35:16Speaker 1: little Bryson another child, this one eleven years old, shot
- 35:20Speaker 1: on the other side of town. Two days before that,
- 35:23Speaker 1: a thirteen year old was shot while also sitting in
- 35:26Speaker 1: his family's car. That child is still listed in critical condition.
- 35:32Speaker 1: American Airline says is canceling one hundreds, hundreds rather of
- 35:35Speaker 1: its flights over the next several weeks. Doesn't want to,
- 35:38Speaker 1: but it has to to carry a cancel more than
- 35:40Speaker 1: one hundred and twenty flights on Saturday and about two
- 35:42Speaker 1: hundred trips on Sunday. The reason is shorge of pilots
- 35:45Speaker 1: and other employees didn't come back to work yet. And finally,
- 35:47Speaker 1: as the Amazon gazillionaire Jeff Bezos gets ready to soar
- 35:51Speaker 1: into space, there's actually a petition out there to let
- 35:54Speaker 1: him stay there. Thirty three thousand signals to say, don't
- 35:58Speaker 1: let Jeff Bezos return to Earth. Some people, I mean,
- 36:01Speaker 1: now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 36:04Speaker 1: to the Stave Harvey Show. Stay woke, Steve Harvey, Nation
- 36:10Speaker 1: and everyone else please. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffinsburger
- 36:15Speaker 1: said there are nearly one hundred and two thousand people
- 36:20Speaker 1: who are at risk of having their Georgia voter registrations
- 36:24Speaker 1: canceled a warning before they lose their ability to vote
- 36:28Speaker 1: next month. The mass cancelations, called voter purges by their critics,
- 36:33Speaker 1: target registered voters who moved or didn't participate in elections
- 36:38Speaker 1: for several years. The removals represent one point three percent
- 36:42Speaker 1: of Georgia's seven point eight percent million registered voters. Cancelations
- 36:47Speaker 1: of voter registrations occur every other year, as required by
- 36:51Speaker 1: state law to remove ineligible or infrequent voters from the
- 36:55Speaker 1: state's voter rolls. Even if their registrations are canceled, eligill
- 37:00Speaker 1: voters can reregister to vote in future elections. Okay, you started, yeah,
- 37:08Speaker 1: let's yeah, yeah, we got to pass. Okay, So what
- 37:12Speaker 1: does everybody need to do in Georgia? Check your voting stats. Yeah,
- 37:18Speaker 1: if you've moved, you know you need to reregister. Okay,
- 37:22Speaker 1: you definitely know that. So if you have moved and
- 37:25Speaker 1: you have not changed your address with voter registration, you
- 37:29Speaker 1: need to do that, like immediately get that done. And
- 37:32Speaker 1: if you haven't voted in a while, you need to
- 37:36Speaker 1: make sure that you are registered so you can vote
- 37:40Speaker 1: this time. We need you. We don't need you to
- 37:42Speaker 1: sit this out right, Okay, So here's what I need
- 37:45Speaker 1: to know. Here's the information we need. What's the website
- 37:49Speaker 1: that the people in Georgia can go to to check
- 37:52Speaker 1: their registration when we all vote dot org. That will
- 37:57Speaker 1: tell they can find out if their register. Okay, but
- 38:04Speaker 1: you can also check and see if you curt They
- 38:08Speaker 1: have a question that says, am i am I registered
- 38:11Speaker 1: already or something like that. But yeah, they have those
- 38:14Speaker 1: kinds of questions on there. And when we all vote
- 38:18Speaker 1: dot dot com, dot org, when we all or everybody
- 38:22Speaker 1: in Georgia today check your status. Go to when we
- 38:26Speaker 1: all vote dot org and check your status Georgia. They
- 38:31Speaker 1: are coming for us. They are so pissed off that
- 38:36Speaker 1: warneck and ass off one over over over those two candidates.
- 38:42Speaker 1: They hot about that they're not gonna let that happen again.
- 38:45Speaker 1: So now here they come, and you better know that
- 38:48Speaker 1: we're targeted because we have a higher moving percentage. So
- 38:53Speaker 1: if you've moved, if even if you have a move,
- 38:55Speaker 1: everybody go to When We All Vote dot org and
- 38:59Speaker 1: check your voter registrations status. Find out if you're registered,
- 39:05Speaker 1: if you're unshoo, reregister with your new address. Reregistered. Don't
- 39:11Speaker 1: We're not gonna let them people stop us. No more. Yeah,
- 39:14Speaker 1: don't forget. It's When We All Vote dot Org coming
- 39:18Speaker 1: up in thirty four minutes after the hour is still
- 39:20Speaker 1: trending in sports news, Ben Simmons, Steve and the Philly
- 39:23Speaker 1: seventy Sixers. Junior has Sports talk right after this. You're
- 39:28Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Junior, HiT's
- 39:33Speaker 1: time for sports talk. What you got all right? Uh
- 39:37Speaker 1: tell me we have to talk about Ben Simmons. Man
- 39:39Speaker 1: in the seventy sixers. Listen. Magic Johnson said that Ben
- 39:42Speaker 1: Simmons could never show his face again in the Sixers
- 39:46Speaker 1: locker room. In case you missed it, you know, because
- 39:49Speaker 1: he missed all these free throws start for the whole series. Hey,
- 39:54Speaker 1: free throws, man, So in case you miss a shack
- 39:57Speaker 1: Ernie Kitty at Charles talked about it as well, So
- 40:00Speaker 1: taking listen, don't take your seven games to realize that.
- 40:02Speaker 1: I don't want to hear that. Man, I'm not going
- 40:04Speaker 1: with that. So what what I'm not? I like what
- 40:08Speaker 1: he said. But if you like, you can't, don't take
- 40:11Speaker 1: seven games for you to know you're not playing right.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Get right? He can't, he can't. You're not getting double team.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Get right. Be aggressive. That's all I want. Just be aggressive.
- 40:20Speaker 1: I don't want to hear all that. Stop that color.
- 40:23Speaker 1: The Atlanta Hawks knocking off the Philadelphia seventy six ers.
- 40:25Speaker 1: One was around and knocks who also struggled at the
- 40:35Speaker 1: free throw line. Right, but dog, but he was aggressive.
- 40:39Speaker 1: But I listen to me, Ben Simmons. They if anybody
- 40:44Speaker 1: that takes seventy three throws gets raided seven out of
- 40:48Speaker 1: anybody since they've been taking this uh taking this count.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Ben Simmons has the worst percentage in the history of
- 40:58Speaker 1: the NBA. Include didn't shock and will Chamber. Wow. But
- 41:04Speaker 1: he a damn guard. Yeah, you're excusable, I mean you,
- 41:10Speaker 1: But here's his real problem. Damn the free throw. He
- 41:15Speaker 1: did not take a field goal attempt in the last
- 41:19Speaker 1: quarter in how many games? Three or four games? That's
- 41:23Speaker 1: that's absurd. He starts, he's mentally where else I don't,
- 41:27Speaker 1: I don't and and and that's exactly why everybody I
- 41:30Speaker 1: said they're gonna have to trade him. Stephen A. Smith
- 41:33Speaker 1: came on and said it. But I said it on
- 41:35Speaker 1: this show, right, He said, Yeah, I said it before
- 41:39Speaker 1: and heard. I didn't need nobody to tell me he's done.
- 41:43Speaker 1: He made no contribution. And you better believe the other
- 41:45Speaker 1: teammates know that he has to get out of that now.
- 41:49Speaker 1: This guy is talented, man, he's really a talented ball player.
- 41:52Speaker 1: But he just signed the Max Steal. He making thirty
- 41:55Speaker 1: million dollars a year playing basketball and you're not shooting
- 41:58Speaker 1: a shot in the four quarter in four games. Yeah, man,
- 42:02Speaker 1: you can throw it to me. And I'm gonna tell
- 42:04Speaker 1: you right now, I can make thirty percent from the
- 42:07Speaker 1: free throw. Yeah, really I can, man, I've I ain't
- 42:11Speaker 1: even gonna lie to you, and I'm sixty four years old.
- 42:14Speaker 1: I can make thirty percent from the free throw. That
- 42:16Speaker 1: ain't hard to do. Well, it's really hard to shoot
- 42:21Speaker 1: thirty percent and your professional. But he got to work
- 42:25Speaker 1: on his game. But but he has to get out
- 42:27Speaker 1: of town because he's mentally not right in Philly, Philly
- 42:31Speaker 1: and never forgive him. Where can he go? A lot
- 42:34Speaker 1: of what you say? What you said? I saw some
- 42:40Speaker 1: of the fans on social media. Oh my goodness, you
- 42:54Speaker 1: come on Philly, come on. Yeah, they don't want that. No, no,
- 43:05Speaker 1: you know. I hope he can correct that though and
- 43:07Speaker 1: come back. He will, he will. He's only twenty four.
- 43:12Speaker 1: He's going to correct. He's a great talent man and
- 43:16Speaker 1: he's a really great guy. But he got to get
- 43:19Speaker 1: out of Philly. But I'm gonna tell you something. There's
- 43:22Speaker 1: a lot of he got out there, Steve, sound like tonight? Yeah, yeah,
- 43:33Speaker 1: wherever he lived. He can't go there because they had
- 43:37Speaker 1: his house already. He's twenty four. But it's a lot
- 43:43Speaker 1: of teams are taking Yeah, there's a lot of teams
- 43:47Speaker 1: take that young guy and give them a veteran in that.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Like they were suggesting he'd go to Portland with c J.
- 43:53Speaker 1: McCallum and Chinning McCallum over to Philly. The dude, they're
- 43:57Speaker 1: trading the heart deep Well, Houston, whatever we can get
- 44:01Speaker 1: right now, some rocket team. I came to work with
- 44:06Speaker 1: him on this aggressive to go to Houston. Nobody you
- 44:12Speaker 1: watched a rocking game. I can't tell you who on
- 44:14Speaker 1: the rock. All right, junior, thank you, coming up next
- 44:18Speaker 1: to the nephew with today's praying phone call. Right after this,
- 44:21Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at
- 44:26Speaker 1: the top of the hour. Right about four minutes after.
- 44:28Speaker 1: It's my strawberry letter for today, the subject I don't
- 44:31Speaker 1: know my husband at all. Wait till you hear this.
- 44:35Speaker 1: We'll get into it in just a little bit, but

- 44:51Speaker 1: But he it is. I dropped your wife? What very
- 44:57Speaker 1: be afraid? Be very afraid. What happens sometimes? Okay, I
- 45:01Speaker 1: dropped your wife? All right? I at least I'm calling
- 45:04Speaker 1: and telling you. Okay, I'll give you that. Now, I'm

- 45:51Speaker 1: has to do with me. Let me tell you he
- 45:52Speaker 1: is crazy about me. If anybody that's with me, if
- 45:56Speaker 1: anybody tries to go off on me, he will lose it. Okay, Okay,

- 52:09Speaker 1: we want right at the edge. But he's calm. It's
- 52:13Speaker 1: gonna take a lot for you to get him to
- 52:15Speaker 1: go there. So you got some great when you go there?
- 52:18Speaker 1: About his daughter? When you know that push that button? Yeah,
- 52:26Speaker 1: another parent, another parent caller about that. Oh yeah, that'll work.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Oh gosh, let me drop it on y'all. I have

- 53:34Speaker 1: hold on tight. We got it for you. Here. It
- 53:36Speaker 1: is the Strawberry letter, Thank you nephew. Subject. I don't
- 53:39Speaker 1: know my husband at all, Dear Stephen Shirley. I am
- 53:44Speaker 1: an older married woman and this is my second marriage.
- 53:49Speaker 1: When I met my husband, he was extremely handsome and generous.
- 53:53Speaker 1: We connected spiritually and he joined my church. We didn't
- 53:57Speaker 1: court for long, and he said he knew I was
- 53:59Speaker 1: his soulmate the minute we meant. I knew things could
- 54:03Speaker 1: be going too fast because I'm his third wife, but
- 54:07Speaker 1: I felt the same connection to him, so I agreed
- 54:10Speaker 1: to marry him. Only five people came to our wedding,
- 54:13Speaker 1: and they were all my family. None of his children
- 54:16Speaker 1: or family members came. My two daughters thought we were
- 54:19Speaker 1: rushing into this since I had only known him for
- 54:22Speaker 1: eight months, and I told him how they felt, and
- 54:25Speaker 1: he snapped back and said, my grown daughters need to
- 54:28Speaker 1: stay out of our business. On our wedding night, we
- 54:31Speaker 1: had sex and it was just okay, So I figured
- 54:34Speaker 1: it would get better with time. It has not, because
- 54:37Speaker 1: we haven't had sex since we got married three months ago.
- 54:40Speaker 1: He does not go to church anymore, and on Sunday
- 54:43Speaker 1: mornings he goes to the casino with his brother. When
- 54:47Speaker 1: I asked him about wasting money, he said he has
- 54:50Speaker 1: extra money because my house is paid for and all
- 54:52Speaker 1: he has to pay is utilities, so it's not a
- 54:56Speaker 1: waste of money. I asked him why we don't have sex,
- 55:00Speaker 1: and he said it's not a woman's place to do
- 55:02Speaker 1: the chasing. So I need to be patient and let
- 55:04Speaker 1: him come on to me. If I ask him anything,
- 55:07Speaker 1: I get that kind of response, and his mouth is
- 55:10Speaker 1: so reckless that I go for days without talking to him.
- 55:13Speaker 1: My daughters do not like him and think I should
- 55:15Speaker 1: get my marriage annulled. I am not ready to give
- 55:18Speaker 1: up on him. On the bright side, he cooks dinner
- 55:21Speaker 1: every day and he keeps the house clean. We live
- 55:24Speaker 1: his roommates, not his husband and wife. What has happened
- 55:28Speaker 1: to the man I'm married? Well, this is him, This
- 55:31Speaker 1: is who you married. This is who you married. You
- 55:34Speaker 1: just weren't with him long enough to get to know him,
- 55:36Speaker 1: to find out this other part. I know, this is
- 55:40Speaker 1: what you signed up for. You say you're not ready
- 55:43Speaker 1: to give up on him, But what are you waiting on?
- 55:45Speaker 1: You say, he talks to you crazy. He goes to
- 55:48Speaker 1: the casino on Sunday loses money after only three months,
- 55:52Speaker 1: he's already given up on you and the marriage. You
- 55:54Speaker 1: get no sex. You're right, and you don't know your
- 55:58Speaker 1: husband at all because you never met him. The guy
- 56:01Speaker 1: you met was a representative who you know, the generous
- 56:05Speaker 1: one going to church with you, you all connected spiritually
- 56:09Speaker 1: and all that. The one who had sex with you
- 56:12Speaker 1: one time, and that was on your wedding night. You
- 56:14Speaker 1: say that was all in the beginning, but and he
- 56:19Speaker 1: was definitely not your soul mate. Okay. I do you
- 56:22Speaker 1: think though, maybe you guys moved too fast because I
- 56:25Speaker 1: think that you were concerned that this was your second marriage.
- 56:29Speaker 1: This is his third marriage. I think you guys moved
- 56:32Speaker 1: too fast. I'm sure this is not what you want
- 56:35Speaker 1: in a husband. Cooking and cleaning those are great qualities,
- 56:38Speaker 1: great qualities to have, but since that's all he does,
- 56:43Speaker 1: it's definitely not enough to sustain a marriage or to
- 56:46Speaker 1: stay in a marriage. He's mean to you, he's selfish
- 56:49Speaker 1: and controlling, and he has no regard for what you need.
- 56:52Speaker 1: It just sounds like he married you. I'm gonna say it,
- 56:56Speaker 1: because your house was paid for and all he had
- 56:59Speaker 1: to pay where you so he got a scott Free financially.
- 57:03Speaker 1: I agree with your daughters who said you should get
- 57:05Speaker 1: your marriage annulled. I think you should get out of
- 57:07Speaker 1: this sham of a marriage just as quickly as you
- 57:11Speaker 1: got in it, because it's gonna keep getting worse, and
- 57:15Speaker 1: you're not having sex anyway, and you know he's not
- 57:18Speaker 1: the man you thought you knew anyway, So why waste
- 57:21Speaker 1: more of your time? Steve, uh, very quick letter to me.
- 57:28Speaker 1: You're an older woman, she's second marriage. You met your husband,
- 57:33Speaker 1: he was extremely handsome and generous. Well, you said he
- 57:37Speaker 1: was extremely handsome and generally so some happen. Something happened
- 57:43Speaker 1: now he now last, Yeah, yeah, he just he was
- 57:50Speaker 1: extremely handsome, y'all, connected spiritually, and he joined your church. Y'all.
- 57:57Speaker 1: We didn't court long because he said he knew I
- 57:59Speaker 1: was just so so made the moment we met. I
- 58:03Speaker 1: knew things was going too fast because I'm his third wife,
- 58:07Speaker 1: but I felt the same connection to him, so I
- 58:09Speaker 1: agreed to marry him. Really, okay, well check this out.
- 58:13Speaker 1: Only five people came now wed, and they were all
- 58:16Speaker 1: my family. None of his children are family members came.
- 58:19Speaker 1: That's cause they knew here we go again. He ain't
- 58:25Speaker 1: worth for damn nowhere. So here we go again. Okay,
- 58:30Speaker 1: so now that's the end of that. You you you
- 58:33Speaker 1: didn't got this wed and five people came, all of
- 58:35Speaker 1: your family. Then your two daughters thought y'all was rushing
- 58:40Speaker 1: into it since you only knew him for eight months.
- 58:43Speaker 1: I told him how they felt. He snapped back and said,
- 58:45Speaker 1: your grown daughters need to stay out of our business. Oh,
- 58:48Speaker 1: he touched you too, so he fast moving. He ain't
- 58:53Speaker 1: handsome no more, and don't ain't nobody his family even
- 59:00Speaker 1: bother to come into the video to the wed and
- 59:02Speaker 1: now he touched it. I don't see nothing good in
- 59:07Speaker 1: this letter at all. On our wed night we had
- 59:11Speaker 1: sex and it was just okay, all right, And then
- 59:16Speaker 1: you figured it would get better with time. It has not,
- 59:19Speaker 1: because we ain't had sex since we got married three
- 59:22Speaker 1: months ago. What and he don't go to church anymore? Well,
- 59:29Speaker 1: he just joined the church to make to make a
- 59:32Speaker 1: good showing. On Sunday morning, he goes to the casino
- 59:36Speaker 1: with his brother. When I asked him about wasting money,
- 59:39Speaker 1: he said, he has extra money because my house is
- 59:41Speaker 1: paid for and all he has to do is pay utility. Wow,
- 59:44Speaker 1: he played you. He straight cold played you. So he
- 59:50Speaker 1: got extra money because his money his money, y'all's money
- 59:53Speaker 1: ain't Charles money. We'll have part two of your response
- 59:58Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three minutes after the were a
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: subject today, I don't know my husband at all. We'll
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening, all right,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter, the subject
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: I don't know my husband at all. Well, you don't
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: because you rushed into it, like your daughters thought you did,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: and like you realized you did, and you said you
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: thought it might be moving fast because this was his
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: third marriage. He used to be handsome. He ain't no more.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Ain't but five people come to the wed and they
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: was all your family, his kids, and nobody else showed up.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: He didn't even tell nobody. Then you've only known it
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: for eight months. Ain't nobody come to the wedding because
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: they knew he wasn't about nothing? Oh? Then you you
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: told him that your daughters thought they ran into it
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: too quick. He said they need to mind their own business.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: He touches on your wedding night, y'all had sex. He
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: was jess Okay, So I figured it would get better
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: with time. Is not because y'all ain't had sex since
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: we got married three months ago. You might not be
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: the only one thought it was Jess. Okay, then I
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: just wanted to throw that out there, but it probably
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: it got nothing to do with you, though. It looks
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: like to me, ma'am, you just married the wrong guy.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: He does not go to church anymore. That's because he
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: just joined your church to make it look good. On
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Sunday morning, he goes to the casino with his brother.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: When I asked him about wasting money, he said, he's
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: got extra money because my house is paid for and
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: all he has to do is pay utility. What So
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: he made this own arrangement himself. So in the eight
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: months where you didn't get to know him, he found
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: out everything he needed to know about you, or one
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: of the things. He found out. Your house is paid
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: so now, so it's not a waste of money. I
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: asked him why we don't have sex, and he said
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: it's not a woman's place to do the chase it.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: So I need to be patient and let him come
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: on to me. Well, it's been ninety days when I
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: created the ninety day rule, in my book, it wasn't
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: for people who was married. I don't you know you
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: can go ahead and has sex now you done. This
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: ain't the place for the ninety day rules. Okay, step
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: I got a question. Okay, she says. On the bright side, yeah,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: you got it. You gotta get today. Let me just
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: get every day right here and keep the house clean.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: It's kind of a responsive mouthfish, reckless go for days
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: that I talked to my daughters. Don't like him. I
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: think I should get my marriage and know Shirley said
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: you should get it to know. I agree. I'm not
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: ready to give up on him. Well that's a stupid statement,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: because he didn't give up on you. Right on the
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: bright side, he cooks dinner every day and he keeps
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: the house clean. So damn what he every day ain't
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: ain't like he making places for you and the people,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: the homeless people in the neighborhood. He eating, he liked cooking,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: and he like a clean house. He don't like sex
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: with you. He don't like going to church. He don't
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: like talking to you with respect. He don't like your daughters.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: He doesn't like his family. He don't like his family.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: His family don't like him. He don't really want to
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: be mad. He don't like nobody but the casino and
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: his brother get he go gambling with. It's just a
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: lot right now? Man? Oh, why did you tell him
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: your house was paid for? M wow? So he doesn't
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: pay utilities, cook and clean. He pimping the game. If
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I was you, i'd get your marriage an like your
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: daughter said, get it an, it don't even count as
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: a marriage, and walk off and put him out. And
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: you ain't lost nothing, ain't nothing lost right now? You
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: ain't that. You ain't ready to give up on it.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: You shouldn't be up. I mean he threw, he got out,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: rode all over him, and how you gonna see it
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: is beyond me. I'm out, lady. You gotta take this here.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: You could do this by yourself. So you thought you
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: had a soul mate because he said, I knew you
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: used my soul mate the moment you matter that. This
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: is how he treats a soul mate. I want to
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: be that type soul mate, right man, I'll tell you what.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Don't call me soul mate, call me strange. Right He
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: just but her daughter's crazy. Man, This dude is a
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: complete waste of time, lady, come about your bids real
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: because he used to be handsome I remember, and generous.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he did jazz enough to get you now,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying, Representative. Wow, I don't want to
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: apologize to some lowdown ass dudes out here. Man. That's
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: but that's why I say, Man, you've got to take
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: your time to get to know these people instead of
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: falling in love with they Representative the first thirty days,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: you're gonna get the best him he can be if
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: you just wait, if you'd waited out, you could have
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: found all this out. He was just because she's an
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: older woman, you know. Sometimes she she may have gotten
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: anxious thinking she wasn't gonna find anyone else, you know,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: and all that, and you ain't found nobody, right, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: So just let him go get that of noment. Like
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: your daughters say, please get going about your business. Yeah
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: all right, Steve, thank you. Post your comments on Today's

- 1:07:43Speaker 1: though coaches coach, So that's how they're gonna do that. Also,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: I just didn't want to get in this timing man
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: just him. What you think, bro? Now you got the
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: Eastern Conference Finals set, and you got the WIST confinin set.

- 1:07:55Speaker 1: the Suns? I mean, who's gonna win the series out
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: of the Suns and the Clippers and out of Milwalker
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: in Atlanta Sons and Milwalker, Sons and Milwaker would be
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: the That would be a good finals right there. That
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: sounds a good final. Yes, But I like Atlanta. I
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: really I like that little boy doing with that good
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: bad hell. He got that good bad It looked looked good.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Man looked bad at the same time he got that
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: good bad hell. It's it's different, it is man. But
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: Atlanta is the Louis rank seed Carler, So you know
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: they like the fifth seed, fifth seed and they up
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: in they up in the Eastern Comferm Final. What they
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: gone because of the house. Yeah, So you know you
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: got Milwaukee. I think that would be a better But
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, if the Clippers, if Paul George
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: keeps showing up every night, it's gonna be hard. Man,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: Paul say this. Let me let me say this to
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: you and caller s ste went to the bathroom. Everybody
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: that had played funder Rocket it's the man they careers
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: when they lead, right, everybody, everybody at the man about
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: yeah at home, just like the Rockets. You know. No,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: but Clint Capella is in the Eastern Conference final when
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: he gave him up. Man, everybody do when I'm gonna
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: leave Houston. Hey, all right, thank you, Junior. Coming up
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, we'll tell you about
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: a dad we saw on TikTok who is devastated to
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: learn his son. Get this guy's is actually his uncle.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right at what what what? Yeah?
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: You're listening to all right, you guys, pay attention to
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: this because this story is crazy. Uh. It can be
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: painful to find out your son isn't your son, all right,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: that can be painful, and because your partner was unfaithful. However,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: a man posted on TikTok to explain what happened to him.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: The post is a video of him distraught and crying
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: in it, and he reveals that he found out that
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: his son is actually his uncle. Did you get that
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: his son is actually his uncle? So? How did this happen?
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: How did this happen? What happened? What happened? Well, the
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: man's grandfather invited him and his girlfriend to stay with him,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: and during that time, the man's girlfriend wound up having
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: an affair with his grandfather. You get it so far? Yeah? Crazy? Right?
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: All right? That led to the baby boy, which the
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: man thought was his And it turns out his grandfather
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: has done stuff like this before, because the man captioned
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: his TikTok post, can't believe I expected more from a
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: man that had a whole other family around the corner
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: from my granny's house. So this grandfather is just that's
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: his ole. Yeah, he thought it was his son, but
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: this is really your uncle. Because hey, hey, who are
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: you talking to? Shut up shooting you? I'm yo, I'm yo,
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: your grandmother, your girl? All right? So how old is
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: the baby? Let's read on Tommy. The man says he
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: still wants to be part of his son slash uncle's life,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: but also questions why his grandfather would hurt him this way.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: In a different video, he describes how he found out,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: saying his girlfriend's phone kept ringing, just pinging, pinging, pingy,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: So he checked to see what was going on and
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: saw the texts were from his grandfather. Then he found
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: year's worth, year's worth of messages from his granddad, including
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: pictures and explicit stuff. H yeah, I'm not raising my
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: uncle at all. Crazy, right, I'm not thinking about my
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: own but I don't know who this dude is. I
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: still want to be in my son's life. I don't.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: I don't understand. Man doesn't ever say how all the child.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: It never said the child was. It's not like it's
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: an official story. It's on TikTok. So he coasted himself crying,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: and you know, all the details you know, weren't revealed.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: But if he said years and years of messages, then
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: then some time that went back, yeah, you know, then
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: he could have gotten attached to the little boy. Yeah
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: you don't love him and all like this, regardless as
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: to who he is. Yeah, absolutely, how he found out
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: it was the granddaddy stuff, well he checked, you know, Yeah,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: well I guess but it didn't say that. But when
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: he saw those texts, he knew something was up from
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: the grandfather year's worth of messages pictures. Have you told
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: your daddy because that's your daddy. Daddy huh right, right right,
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: you don't know that could be your mom's dad or
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: your mom anyway. I'm hoping my granddad ain't. Anyway, my
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: granddad whoever it is, hoping my granddad ain't. Yeah. The girlfriend, yeah,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: she slept with his grandfather. Yeah, but still, I mean,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: I'm just saying, I don't know what it was convenient.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: I d good you wore so many wheel well you
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: get so many wheel Now that's heartbreaking. And some of
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: the comments people were saying that, you know, to the
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: young man, you didn't deserve that, you know, you know,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: if you still want to be in the little boy's
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: life being mentor to him, you know, yeah, you know
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: that's that's hard. That's who suffers the little boy because
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: the man he thought was his father all this time
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: is his uncle. Is his nephew, right, yeah, it's his nephew.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: You just shake your hand when you hear yeah, all right,
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: all right, we'll have more of a Steve Harvey morning
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: show coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, right
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to show. Well. Just days after
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: plans were announced for a Marvin Gay, finally, a Marvin
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: Gay biopic, a Detroit Street corner has been renamed in
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: his honor. Variety reports that the mayor and a representative
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: of the mayor, Brenda Lawrence, and Marvin's brother Antoine Gay,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: were among those on hand Saturday when the intersection of
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Monica Street and West Outer Drive officially became Marvin Gay Drive.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: Of course, Marvin Gay lived in a house on that
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: corner when he began to work on his landmark album
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: What's Going On. The album's cover photo was shot in
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: the residence's back yard. So that good news if you're
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: for Marvin Gay fans for sure, of which I am one. Um,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: that's the album right there, that's my favorite all time,
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: that song What's going On? I get that movie out?
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: Are they gonna ever get that movie? I know? And
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: he was supposed to play it, Jesse from Lawn Order,
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: law Yeah, Jesse Martin from Lawn Order. He was supposed
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: to play it years ago, that years, years, years ago. Yeah,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: who do you think in playing man? Oh? I know
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: I know, and I'm sure there's a guy. I'm gonna
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: show you guys a picture and y'all gonna be like,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: that's that. I think the dude in power Omari Hardwick.

- 1:16:32Speaker 1: take a listen to her post race interview. So a
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: major state in terms of time. But what do you
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: want the world to know about what you just did
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: in this semifinal run. I just want the world to
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: know that I'm that girl. Now I'm gonna try to
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: do what it is that me, my coach, my support
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: team believe I can do, and the and the talent
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: that God bless me to hell to do every time
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: I step on to check. I'm never gonna take an
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: opportunity to perform for Jake. They love love with this.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: I'm just rooting for blazing fast man. Yes she is.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: She Moments after crossing the line, she carry ran up
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: to the stands. Did you guys see this to embrace
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: her grandmother. I mean, she gave her the biggest hug.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: She said, my grandmother is my heart. My grandmother is
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: my superwoman. She carry also revealed that she just lost
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: her biological mom last week, so she was running with
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: all this on her, you know, and she still won
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: and made it on the Olympic team. So congratulations. Yeah,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: did yall and you were the race, did y'all see? Yeah?
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: I saw it. Yeah, Yeah, she definitely came back, you
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: were saying across the line she pointed out the time,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Yes she did. I think she did. I saw that.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: You were saying, yeah, that was semifinalist. You were saying
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: her hair color means something, Carla. Yeah, she said that
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: her friend picked out the color orange, and I think
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: she said in dangerous or she changes her hair color
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: a lot, so for orange, great pick. It worked, giving
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: you that Blowjo vibe, you know, with your nails and that. Yeah,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: she was beautiful. Yeah, she carried Richardson all right and
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: other entertainment news Macy Gray says she thinks the American
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: flag needs an update, and in our bed for a
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: market Watch, she writes that for June teenth, the flag
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: needs a change, especially after the Capitol rioters hijacked its
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: meaning on January sixth. She says, like the Confederate flag,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: it is tattered, dated, divisive, and incorrect. It no longer
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: represents democracy and freedom. She writes, if no longer represents
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: all of us, it's not fair to be forced to
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: honor it. It's time for a new flag. Among her suggestions,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: she wants a number of stars to be increased to
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: include washing to d C and Puerto Rico. Plus she
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: thinks the white stripes should be off white because America's
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: purity is broken and in pieces. And she also suggests
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: changing the color of the stars from something that represents
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: all of us. Your skin, your skin tone, and mine.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Now that's from Macy Gray. All right, coming up next
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: to our last break of the day, and Steve will
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: have some closing remarks. All that's coming up at forty
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: nine after the hour. Right after this you're listening to
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: all right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: the day on this Tuesday. It's been a good day. Yeah,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: I'm still reeling from the that story we had earlier
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: this morning about the uncle and the granddaddy and daddy
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: and yeah, that was a bit story. I don't care what.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: I don't care what you've heard. It's somebody always doing
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: something crazy, crazy stories in it. Man. Yeah, you know,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: truth is stranger than fiction for sure. Oh, because you
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: can't believe. It's like people ask me all the time.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: Do y'all make them start being let us up? We can't.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: I mean, we have active imaginations for sure. I like that,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: damn man, that I don't have time for this. We
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: take phone calls though, Steve, I'm going through the exact
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: same thing. That's what blows. I know, that's your that
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: happened to me. What y'all took my call? Because I've
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: got the same thing, lady, Yeah, okay, what strawberry letters
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: just make you think. Let you know that your life
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: isn't as bad as you think it is. If it's
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: really it's really really great, and don't let it bother.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: You know, we're talking about all of this stuff that
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: they're doing in terms of voted reform and not passing
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: to George Floyd Act and the People's Act. You know,
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: they just this country is really sick, man, And what's
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: happening is the minority are trying desperately to control the majority.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: And we can't let this happen because it's been going
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: on far too long. You know, listen that sector of people,
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: it's a lot of them, but they're not really the
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: dominant force in this country. They're really not. Man. The
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: racist people, the people who want to push this, they're
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: not the dominant. Now they're the most in the Senate,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: but and they represent people, and there are people, sadly
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: who voted for them, but that doesn't represent the bulk
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: of the country. And what we've got to do is
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: stop them from doing the things that they're doing in Georgia,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: like changing the way you can register. If you haven't
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: voted in a while, your names are come off the
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: record books. If you've moved and you haven't reregistered, your
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: name or come off the voting rights books. We've got
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: to stop that. We have to go to when we
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: all vote dot org, when we all vote dot org,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: check your voting status. If you've moved, if you haven't moved.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: Everybody should go and check their voting status. I need
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: to check mind because I don't want no okay, dot,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: because listen to me, y'all. This mid term election that's
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: coming up is a big one. It's very, very important
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: because we can change and shift the power in that
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: Senate if we go out and did exactly if we
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: do exactly what we did in the general election, we'll
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: changed the whole direction in this country. And they know
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: we can do it, and they're afraid of it. And
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: that's why they're doing the things that they're doing. And
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: I'm telling you I firmly believe that's why they gave
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: up June teenth. This same racist Senate gave up Juneteenth
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: as a national holiday. Do you know that a racist
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: person could care less if you have a national holiday
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: recognizing your birth into freedom two years after the Emancipation Proclamation?
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: Do you know that they could care less about that?
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: You have to wonder why they would give us something
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: so quickly, so free it, and so openly and so willingly. Well,
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: I'll tell you two reasons. I think. Number one, they've
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: been fit from it too. They get a day off
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: with pay what they need, a day off for slavery
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: fault they was never slaves. And then the other reason
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: that they so willingly gave us this is because day
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: in the background doing some stuff. We ain't ask for this.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: We ask for voting rights. We ask for you to
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: stop killing our kids. We ask for us to police
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: pull us over and treat us with dignity and respect
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: as tax paying, law abiding citizens. We ask you to
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: stop shooting us when we have a license to carry.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: Stop killing us when we reach for our bag to
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: show you I d stop killing us because we ran.
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: You have no right to shoot a man in the
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: back for running. Running is not a killing offense. Selling
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: cigarettes is not a killing expense. Walking home from a
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: store drinking iced tea and Eaton's Kittels is no reason
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: to die getting pulled over by the police. You shouldn't
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: have to die for that. Even if you broke a
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: traffic law, you shouldn't have to die for that. That's
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: what we ask for. But you turn around, you give
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: us June teeth. All right, cool, appreciate, But but it's
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: a trick y'all to me. It's just a it's to
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: fake out move, it's to get our attention off. We
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: gave you this, now we're gonna do that. And while
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: we barbecue, and they backed that barbecue in the I
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: ass well, I ain't with it, man, I don't win it.
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: I really don't care that you gave up June teeth.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: I don't care. I don't even I don't care. I
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: want what we asked y'all for. I want what we
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: got to march for. I want what we're dying for.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Were dying and keep dying from quality for all. Steve
