- 1:45Speaker 1: turn the water the water. Come, come on your baby
- 1:59Speaker 1: at it. Uh huh. I show will good morning everybody
- 2:05Speaker 1: you are listening to the voice, come on dig me now.
- 2:08Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey Man got a radio show, man, Yeah,
- 2:13Speaker 1: I do. Steve Harvey got a radio show because I
- 2:19Speaker 1: can't tell it to you any other way because God
- 2:21Speaker 1: has been so so very amazing to me. But the
- 2:28Speaker 1: same God, and there is but one that same God is.
- 2:35Speaker 1: It can and will be amazing in your life if
- 2:39Speaker 1: you just allow it to happen. You know, I was somewhere,
- 2:44Speaker 1: you know, and I was driving on the freeway somewhere,
- 2:47Speaker 1: and I saw bill board and it was a guy
- 2:54Speaker 1: in a field on his knees. And on this billboard
- 2:58Speaker 1: it said something to the effect when when you've run
- 3:03Speaker 1: out of answers, Try prayer. That was the billboard. When
- 3:11Speaker 1: you run out of answers, try prayer. And I was
- 3:15Speaker 1: I was going somewhere, and I don't even remember I
- 3:19Speaker 1: go so much. Man, I was just going somewhere and
- 3:22Speaker 1: I saw this billboard and I thought about that, And man,
- 3:28Speaker 1: I cannot tell you how true of a statement that is.
- 3:34Speaker 1: When you've run out of answers, when you don't know
- 3:37Speaker 1: what to do, when you feel weak, when you are
- 3:42Speaker 1: at a low point, when things just seem to keep
- 3:45Speaker 1: happening to you, and you don't understand why prayer is
- 3:51Speaker 1: an amazing weapon. Prayer is available to all of us.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Here's a deal. You don't have to go through the
- 4:02Speaker 1: all of that you're going through alone. See, I'm talking
- 4:07Speaker 1: to men, women, boys, girls, students, leaders, bosses, employees. I
- 4:14Speaker 1: don't care what's happening. I don't care what your situation is.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I don't care if your relationship is all jacked up.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I don't care if your kids and your relationship is
- 4:24Speaker 1: jacked up. I don't care if your relationship at work
- 4:28Speaker 1: is shot. Your coworkers seem to always make you the
- 4:32Speaker 1: buddy end of the joke. You always somebody always talking
- 4:36Speaker 1: about you behind your back. You're finding it more and
- 4:38Speaker 1: more necessary to try to hold your head up and
- 4:41Speaker 1: walk past these people when some days you can't even
- 4:44Speaker 1: get your chin up off your chest. That are people
- 4:48Speaker 1: out there that are going through, kids that are going
- 4:50Speaker 1: through being bullied at the school. You got students in
- 4:54Speaker 1: college who know that they want to have a college degree,
- 4:58Speaker 1: but their face with some many temptations out there, so many,
- 5:02Speaker 1: so many things that can sidetrack them. If you're a
- 5:06Speaker 1: woman out there and you've been alone by yourself for
- 5:09Speaker 1: so long, and you're just tired of being alone, you
- 5:12Speaker 1: really want a relationship, you really want to be have
- 5:16Speaker 1: a mate, you want to meet your soul mate, whatever
- 5:19Speaker 1: it is, whatever it is, Prayer is the answer. You
- 5:26Speaker 1: are listening to a guy who is a direct recipient
- 5:32Speaker 1: of prayer. I can't tell you anything that I've gotten
- 5:36Speaker 1: out of that I didn't pray about. Oh, now, there
- 5:41Speaker 1: are a lot of things hold on them. Let me
- 5:43Speaker 1: backtrack a little bit. There are a lot of things
- 5:45Speaker 1: that have happened in my life that I've gotten past
- 5:48Speaker 1: without praying, because I think my mama was praying for me.
- 5:52Speaker 1: And then there's this thing that God has called grace
- 5:55Speaker 1: and mercy that he just somehow keeps us all waking
- 5:59Speaker 1: up every day without foot on some form or solid
- 6:03Speaker 1: ground because he's just waiting on us to come to him.
- 6:06Speaker 1: But y'all, if you can implement prayer into your day
- 6:12Speaker 1: every single day, and I'm talking about put it in
- 6:16Speaker 1: there at the top of your day, put it in
- 6:18Speaker 1: there in the middle of your day, put it in
- 6:21Speaker 1: there when you close your day out, when you're sitting
- 6:24Speaker 1: at your desk and ain't nobody bothering you, that's a
- 6:28Speaker 1: good time. Now, Look, you don't have to make no scene.
- 6:32Speaker 1: You ain't got to let everybody know, Oh I'm spiritual,
- 6:35Speaker 1: I love God, look at me, Oh I'm down, or
- 6:38Speaker 1: you ain't got to do none of that. Matter of fact,
- 6:40Speaker 1: don't do it for that reason, because if that's your
- 6:42Speaker 1: reason for doing it, that's gonna be your reward. If
- 6:45Speaker 1: you want somebody to just say, oh, they pray every
- 6:47Speaker 1: you know, they pray at lunch and they had a
- 6:49Speaker 1: Bible on their desk and they have a bunch of
- 6:51Speaker 1: highlights in it. If you're sitting it out there so
- 6:54Speaker 1: people can see that that's what you do, then that's
- 6:56Speaker 1: gonna be your reward. Please know you. That's gonna be
- 7:00Speaker 1: your reward. What I want you to do is pray.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Ask God for the things the desires of your heart,
- 7:10Speaker 1: have a faith, believe in them. But pray earnestly. Man.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I mean, actually go at it with saying, Hey, God,
- 7:20Speaker 1: listen to me. I can't do this without you. I
- 7:24Speaker 1: need your help. Listen, man, I know a lot of
- 7:27Speaker 1: people that pray. I know a lot of it. If
- 7:30Speaker 1: I told you the rich and famous that I talk
- 7:35Speaker 1: to that pray constantly, it would amaze you. And that's
- 7:38Speaker 1: all I'm saying today. I'm saying you got to check
- 7:41Speaker 1: into that, y'all. Just go check God out. Go check
- 7:45Speaker 1: him out. You've fend to go through something, man, that
- 7:48Speaker 1: did You can see the trouble coming. Go talk to
- 7:52Speaker 1: God about it. Man. Matter of fact, you'd already got
- 7:55Speaker 1: yourself into trouble. Go talk to God about it. You
- 7:59Speaker 1: can't see no way out. You're in the situation. You're
- 8:02Speaker 1: thinking about doing something straight crazy. Pump your brake's partner.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Slow down a little bit, my man, Slow down, don't don't.
- 8:11Speaker 1: All you're gonna do is make a situation worse. Go
- 8:14Speaker 1: over there today and talk to God. Talk to God
- 8:19Speaker 1: for real. Just look, man, you know what. Man, Sometimes
- 8:24Speaker 1: I've gone to God and I've just said, Hey, God,
- 8:27Speaker 1: I don't have a clue. Matter of fact, I'm so
- 8:31Speaker 1: jacked up right now. God, I don't even really know
- 8:33Speaker 1: what to ask you for. I just need some help.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I'm so deep is some mess right now. Not only
- 8:42Speaker 1: can I not see the way out, I can't see
- 8:44Speaker 1: my way round. There's a there's a poem calling Victus,
- 8:51Speaker 1: and the opening line says, out of the night that
- 8:55Speaker 1: covers me black as a pit from pole to pole.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I thank God's for whatever be from my unconquerable soul
- 9:07Speaker 1: that This line is so deep. It starts off saying,
- 9:12Speaker 1: I am in deep trouble. I'm in a pit, black
- 9:18Speaker 1: as a pit from pole to pole. I'm talking about man.
- 9:22Speaker 1: From over there to over there. It's pitch black and
- 9:29Speaker 1: and man, that man, you've been in that situation before, y'all,
- 9:34Speaker 1: because I have. I'm talking about black as a pit
- 9:39Speaker 1: from pole to pole. God is there. God is available.
- 9:46Speaker 1: God is always standing by. He just wants you to
- 9:51Speaker 1: come to him. See he's been coming to you a
- 9:55Speaker 1: whole lot of times. He's presented himself. I can't tell
- 9:58Speaker 1: you how many times he showed you how good a
- 10:01Speaker 1: god he is. He's given us all grace and mercy
- 10:04Speaker 1: without us asking for He's gotten you through some things.
- 10:07Speaker 1: And you looked at him. Boy, who Man, I don't
- 10:09Speaker 1: know how the hell? Okay, that's cool. I'm cool. No no,
- 10:12Speaker 1: no, no no, no, that wasn't cool. That was God. What
- 10:15Speaker 1: you're what you're tripping on? Oh? Man? You know I was.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I was doing something other day in the man. I
- 10:20Speaker 1: just came out of my owner. What was that, man?
- 10:22Speaker 1: I said, Man, that's cool, that's cool. Cool, Hey man,
- 10:31Speaker 1: that was God. That was God looking out for you,
- 10:34Speaker 1: because you're his child. He would love to hear from you. Pray, man,
- 10:39Speaker 1: when you out of answers and you don't know what
- 10:41Speaker 1: to do, pray. If you see some trouble coming, pray
- 10:44Speaker 1: if you already got into it, Pray if you don't
- 10:47Speaker 1: know the answers, Pray. If you can't see no way out, pray, pray, man,

- 24:43Speaker 1: keep brother, keep listen to me. Normally, when we have
- 24:46Speaker 1: these funerals, people who give remarks, we have them three
- 24:51Speaker 1: minutes or less. Okay, okay, I'll tell you what. I'll
- 24:55Speaker 1: tell you what, mister Lord don't list? Is she loan
- 24:57Speaker 1: the list? We have a sealer. Yes, there's a ceiler
- 25:03Speaker 1: that's singing your name off the list. You take her

- 25:57Speaker 1: taking my name off. But but they they orchestrated this though,
- 26:02Speaker 1: who is they? Who is Day? They for having my problems,

- 26:14Speaker 1: But until they say that, you can't matter, sure, I'm
- 26:18Speaker 1: not gonna. I don't want to. I don't want to
- 26:20Speaker 1: have this turn out to be bad and we want

- 26:28Speaker 1: And if I don't get to say nothing, I guarantees,
- 26:31Speaker 1: I guarantee you it's gonna be a truthful one in there.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Somebody else gonna get things and the call for tooth.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I guarantees that if I don't get to say nothing

- 26:52Speaker 1: I bet you, I say, with the fool I want
- 26:54Speaker 1: to I'll bet you that much. You tell Day that
- 26:59Speaker 1: I didn't I didn't put me through colleague how to
- 27:02Speaker 1: put money on the funeral? I called around. A few
- 27:05Speaker 1: ain't putting no money on the Fridal fell In. They
- 27:07Speaker 1: can't be on the program. Man, keep they when they
- 27:13Speaker 1: decide who who Who's own it? If they changed the format,
- 27:19Speaker 1: then I will call you back. Who who is vague?

- 28:59Speaker 1: me and a Yeah, now that was third and four.
- 29:02Speaker 1: If when you have to write down what you gonna say,
- 29:07Speaker 1: if you up there and you are speaker, it's going

- 29:13Speaker 1: be for people who really know the person. Yes, if

- 31:53Speaker 1: So they've been lifelong friends since that. I thought the

- 32:20Speaker 1: So I'm gonna do mine now. Oh Okay, it's early,
- 32:24Speaker 1: you're right, but go ahead. My New Year's resolution for

- 32:43Speaker 1: that's why I said. You know, we always break them,
- 32:46Speaker 1: So I'm gonna say mine now in late November. I
- 32:52Speaker 1: still want to see this Christmas trick. No, even if
- 32:54Speaker 1: we ain't compete, I want to see the crip now, Timmy,
- 32:58Speaker 1: when when will it be decorated? In finish? Let him
- 33:01Speaker 1: see the day after tomorrow. Okay, you gotta let us
- 33:03Speaker 1: see the tree. Why don't you let him say it? Steve? What, No,
- 33:08Speaker 1: I don't have tree feeling. Steve, You're not gonna hurt

- 33:24Speaker 1: all right, we gotta get to miss Anne Steve. Ladies
- 33:26Speaker 1: and gentlemen, miss Anne Tripp. Thanks guys, and good morning everybody.
- 33:30Speaker 1: This is a trip with the news. Okay. President Trump
- 33:33Speaker 1: is now saying that he just might pardon former campaign
- 33:36Speaker 1: manager Paul Manaford. According to the New York Post, Trump
- 33:40Speaker 1: says that a potential pardon for Manaford quote is not
- 33:43Speaker 1: off the table now. Special counsel Robert Mueller. You know
- 33:46Speaker 1: that's the guy looking into the Russian meddling in the election.
- 33:49Speaker 1: He convicted Manaford, who is currently in jail on financial
- 33:53Speaker 1: malfeasance and tax taxmailfeasance as well. And now Trump is
- 33:57Speaker 1: accusing Mueller of trying to get the people who worked
- 33:59Speaker 1: on presidential campaign to alie. Meanwhile, Trump is rejecting and
- 34:03Speaker 1: get this, the climate change report issued by his own administration,
- 34:07Speaker 1: courts to the Daily News, Trump speaking to reporters that
- 34:10Speaker 1: the White House early this week said that the National
- 34:12Speaker 1: Climate Assessment was generally fine, but when pressed on its findings,
- 34:16Speaker 1: the President said, quote, I don't believe it. Without elaborating,
- 34:20Speaker 1: the report warns that if significant steps, for instance, they're
- 34:22Speaker 1: not taken to reduce pollution and find clean alternatives to
- 34:25Speaker 1: fossil fuels like coal, that the US economy will be
- 34:28Speaker 1: down by ten percent of its value by the end
- 34:31Speaker 1: of the century. The scientific assessment issued by thirteen federal
- 34:34Speaker 1: agencies and released by the White House over the Thanksgiving weekend,
- 34:38Speaker 1: and it lays out in detail how the gradual warming
- 34:41Speaker 1: of the planet as a result of human activity directly
- 34:44Speaker 1: correlates with the uptick in the natural gas and natural
- 34:47Speaker 1: disasters that we've seen recently across the US, including those
- 34:50Speaker 1: deadly forest fires in California, and the report authored by
- 34:54Speaker 1: his own administration is repeatedly at odds with Trump, who
- 34:58Speaker 1: has been pushing, you know, for more environmental deregulation and
- 35:02Speaker 1: allowing even more planet warming pollution to be spewed into
- 35:05Speaker 1: the atmosphere. Jury selection continues today in charlotte Ville, Virginia,
- 35:09Speaker 1: for the murder trial of James alex Field Junior Feels,
- 35:12Speaker 1: a white man accused of ramming his car into a
- 35:15Speaker 1: group of anti racism demonstrators at a white supremacist rally,
- 35:19Speaker 1: killing one young woman named Heather Higher and injuring several others.
- 35:23Speaker 1: The court needs sixteen people, twelve jurors and four alternates
- 35:26Speaker 1: who say they can be impartial in the high profile case.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Opening statements are scheduled before today is out. If you know,
- 35:33Speaker 1: we're lucky, we'll see how that happens. Another example the
- 35:36Speaker 1: perils of simply living while black, this time a black
- 35:39Speaker 1: man in Montgomery County, Maryland. Listen to this. He was
- 35:42Speaker 1: simply bringing his drunk and staggering friend home, but he
- 35:46Speaker 1: was thrown up against a car and arrested by white cops.
- 35:49Speaker 1: The one white female cop later claim that she'smelled marijuana
- 35:53Speaker 1: on twenty three year old Samira med However, Metell's Washington
- 35:55Speaker 1: post of that was a complete lie. The European Union
- 35:59Speaker 1: and the UK have agree on the terms of their divorce,
- 36:01Speaker 1: in other words, the terms of Brexit. We'll see how
- 36:03Speaker 1: that goes. Democrats and House of Representatives have officially nominated
- 36:08Speaker 1: Nancy Pelosi for House Speaker in the next Congress. However,
- 36:11Speaker 1: the veteran congressman was still win a final vote in
- 36:14Speaker 1: the full House in January, and some of the new
- 36:17Speaker 1: bucks in the Congress they say they need new blood
- 36:19Speaker 1: and stuff like that, So we'll see how that goes.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Pelos Pelosi, you may remember, was the first woman House
- 36:24Speaker 1: speaker from two thousand and seven to twenty eleven. She's
- 36:28Speaker 1: going to need a toll of at least two hundred
- 36:29Speaker 1: and eighteen votes when the Democrats officially take over the
- 36:32Speaker 1: House again two months from now in January. Finally, today
- 36:36Speaker 1: is the customer is Wrong day? Jess you what you
- 36:40Speaker 1: got to be ruled? Sometime? This has been Anne tripping
- 36:42Speaker 1: it back to the Steve Harvey Morning Jail. You're listening
- 36:45Speaker 1: to show. Hey, everybody joining us now is Attorney Benjamin Crump.
- 36:52Speaker 1: He's a president of the Black Lawyers Association. He's a
- 36:56Speaker 1: trusted source of insight on sadly tragic depths, and he's
- 37:01Speaker 1: been all these deaths have been occurring with our community,
- 37:04Speaker 1: and today always sad to say that he's back with
- 37:08Speaker 1: us to talk about yet another senseless death in Birmingham, Alabama.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Please welcome to the show, Attorney Benjamin Clump. Welcome, Welcome,
- 37:17Speaker 1: we Hey, thank you all so much. Steve Shirley, everybody,
- 37:25Speaker 1: thank you gall so much for allowing us to talk
- 37:27Speaker 1: about these issues that affect our children. And Steve, this
- 37:32Speaker 1: happened in a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama. We all remember
- 37:37Speaker 1: waking up on Black Friday to the news that there
- 37:42Speaker 1: was a shooting in the Hooper Gallery of Mall and
- 37:45Speaker 1: the police were proclaiming that they took down the shooter.
- 37:49Speaker 1: They had celebrated this police officer as a hero. They
- 37:53Speaker 1: said that they had stopped a mass shooting and they
- 37:58Speaker 1: were having caused to treat the officer as a hero.
- 38:02Speaker 1: And this person who was shot was plastered all over
- 38:06Speaker 1: the media and it was emantic. Fitzgerald Bradford Junior, the
- 38:11Speaker 1: son of Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Senior and April Pipkins, who
- 38:17Speaker 1: are good people who raised a good kid, served in
- 38:21Speaker 1: the military, never had any criminal history whatsoever. And they
- 38:26Speaker 1: knew right then that that's not the kid they raised.
- 38:30Speaker 1: They knew it was a lie. They said their child
- 38:32Speaker 1: would never kill anybody, and so they found out on
- 38:36Speaker 1: social media. They never got the courtesy of a phone
- 38:40Speaker 1: call from the authorities, with the police department or anybody
- 38:44Speaker 1: before they pulled a trigger and brand all this negative
- 38:49Speaker 1: publicity worldwide about their child. And then we've been twenty
- 38:53Speaker 1: four hours after they reviewed the video at the mall,
- 38:57Speaker 1: even though they hadn't showed it to the family anybody else,
- 39:00Speaker 1: they made a retraction to say that he did not
- 39:04Speaker 1: shoot anybody and that they were wrong. They put this
- 39:08Speaker 1: lout and then they tell it over the media and
- 39:11Speaker 1: the family is never ever getting the courtesy of the
- 39:15Speaker 1: police test calling them, going to their house and saying
- 39:19Speaker 1: we made a mistake, we apologize. Edge has been unbelievably
- 39:24Speaker 1: devastating for this family. Thanksgiving would never be the same
- 39:28Speaker 1: for them again. Yeah, Attorney Club, I'm listening to you
- 39:31Speaker 1: because I needed to carefully listen because I was out
- 39:35Speaker 1: of the country and so the pieces of news that
- 39:38Speaker 1: I was able to get was very limited. I'm listening
- 39:41Speaker 1: very intensely for facts as first time, so can I
- 39:45Speaker 1: ask this question. Until there was some social media footage,
- 39:50Speaker 1: the claim was they had shot the right person at
- 39:54Speaker 1: the mall who had killed two other people exactly. Hey, listen,
- 40:00Speaker 1: sit tight, We'll be back more. With Attorney Benjamin Crump.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Right after this, we got some really great information. I try,
- 40:10Speaker 1: We're back, We're back, and we're having an all too
- 40:13Speaker 1: familiar and struggling the same conversation with Attorney Benjamin Crump.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Steve Bay had proclaimed him to be a criminal and
- 40:24Speaker 1: they'd got the right person. And why they made this determination,
- 40:28Speaker 1: we can only speculate it had something to do with
- 40:33Speaker 1: the skin color of this young man, because witnesses have
- 40:37Speaker 1: come forward to the family, have called my law firm
- 40:40Speaker 1: and said that he was one of the people trying
- 40:44Speaker 1: to help save people. He was trying to get people
- 40:47Speaker 1: away from the shooting out of harm's way. And so
- 40:51Speaker 1: this who were police officer who was off duty work
- 40:56Speaker 1: in private security for the mall, came upon this and
- 41:00Speaker 1: they said, with the Miller seconds he shot this young
- 41:05Speaker 1: man in the face. He did not say freeze, drop
- 41:09Speaker 1: your women, police officer. He saw this young man, he
- 41:13Speaker 1: had a gun and he shot. And now Alabama is
- 41:17Speaker 1: an open carry state. Emantic former military person there has
- 41:24Speaker 1: his carry casill weapons permit. He had every legal right
- 41:29Speaker 1: to have a gun. In fact, the witnesses said there
- 41:33Speaker 1: were several people when they heard a shoot and pulled
- 41:36Speaker 1: out their guns. This is the evidence. I can't wait
- 41:39Speaker 1: to the video as release so we can see everybody
- 41:42Speaker 1: who put the gun and see, well, why did y'all
- 41:45Speaker 1: pick this young man to shoot. Out of everybody in
- 41:48Speaker 1: the mall who used their Second Amendment rights, she picked
- 41:53Speaker 1: this young black man and made a decision that he
- 41:56Speaker 1: does not have the right to have a gun. And
- 41:59Speaker 1: that gets beyond the point. Let me say this, Steve,
- 42:01Speaker 1: because this really is the crux of the matter. There's
- 42:05Speaker 1: some suggestion by the top leadership in our country that
- 42:10Speaker 1: to stop bad guys with guns to prevent these mass shootings,
- 42:16Speaker 1: what we need or to have the good guys have guns.
- 42:21Speaker 1: But apparently police in America don't believe that black men
- 42:28Speaker 1: with guns are good guys. We saw that with Jamail
- 42:33Speaker 1: Robinson in Chicago. We saw that with Orlando because still
- 42:38Speaker 1: in Minneapolis, and now we come to Hohover, Alabama with
- 42:43Speaker 1: Amantic Fitzgerald Bradford his nickname is e J and everybody
- 42:49Speaker 1: to want. Steve Harvard said that this was a good kid,
- 42:53Speaker 1: check his record, and his parents keep saying to the
- 42:57Speaker 1: Hoover Police Department, you've already lied to us one time.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Don't say no. Mod just released the video and his
- 43:05Speaker 1: family believes if he did anything bad, they would have
- 43:10Speaker 1: already released that video. Well, yeah, yeah, absolutely, And you
- 43:14Speaker 1: know what, Attorney Crump right now, the problem we keep
- 43:18Speaker 1: having is that all the supposed good guys keep shooting
- 43:24Speaker 1: the same guys. Ye, that's the problem. Look, and I
- 43:29Speaker 1: love you, bro, I really do, man, because we need
- 43:32Speaker 1: people like you to take the torch and keep it
- 43:35Speaker 1: lit and defend the people who wouldn't get proper coverage
- 43:40Speaker 1: on these issues. But it's the same story every single time. Steve.
- 43:45Speaker 1: It's so profound what you're saying, because when we really
- 43:49Speaker 1: think about it for a second, they always have young
- 43:55Speaker 1: white men who are confirmed mass killers. The police always
- 44:00Speaker 1: managed to say we were mistaken, we shot him, We
- 44:05Speaker 1: feel terrible about it, and then they want us to say, well,
- 44:09Speaker 1: let's have patience, let's let the investigation go. They got
- 44:13Speaker 1: a video of Steve I don't know why, so hard
- 44:15Speaker 1: and it's gonna take so long for them to investigate
- 44:18Speaker 1: to tell if the police was wrong and EJ was right.
- 44:22Speaker 1: What that tells me is that they are stalling for
- 44:25Speaker 1: a reason. Okay, folks to go fund me pages justice
- 44:29Speaker 1: for EJ. Go fund me A couple of dollars from
- 44:32Speaker 1: everybody you know. You got five, you got ten, you
- 44:35Speaker 1: got three dollars, two dollars, whatever we can see, and
- 44:38Speaker 1: let's help this family now. Benjamin Croft Man, listen, Thank
- 44:41Speaker 1: you brother, keep up the good fight. Come back and
- 44:44Speaker 1: let us know us the facts come out exactly what's
- 44:47Speaker 1: going on. I certainly will, Steve. I love you, brother,
- 44:49Speaker 1: and thank you so much for using your platform to
- 44:52Speaker 1: make a difference in our community. Thank you, soldier, keep
- 44:55Speaker 1: being the soldier. Man. Appreciate you. Yes, sir, all right,
- 44:58Speaker 1: we'll be back with more of Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 45:01Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening show, all right? Coming up
- 45:07Speaker 1: at the top, the Strawberry letter, the subject torn between
- 45:11Speaker 1: my daddy and my man. But right now it is
- 45:15Speaker 1: the nephew in the building with the prank phone call
- 45:18Speaker 1: for today? What you got the ring? Huh? The rain?
- 45:23Speaker 1: Why are you saying it like? Yeah, like the movie.
- 45:26Speaker 1: I'm trying to make a sound like Lord and Ring
- 45:28Speaker 1: the Rain. I didn't get Lord of the Rings out
- 45:32Speaker 1: of that running Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach a Denise. Yes,
- 45:41Speaker 1: this is she. Hi Denise. My name is Gavin. I'm

- 45:50Speaker 1: last week? I actually wasn't here, but you gave it
- 45:52Speaker 1: to one of my salespersons. And yes, you wanted to
- 45:56Speaker 1: get it resized as well as get it a praise correct. Yes, yes, yes,
- 46:00Speaker 1: and you don't have to tell him to be a
- 46:01Speaker 1: bit on my own. Okay, wow, okay, listen, I actually
- 46:07Speaker 1: do the resize of the ring. And first of all,
- 46:09Speaker 1: let me be the first to say, um, congratulations, when

- 46:15Speaker 1: Come there. Well, congratulations to you. Listen. I don't know
- 46:19Speaker 1: how to tell you this now as far as your
- 46:21Speaker 1: praiserless concern, I've looked at your ring over and over
- 46:24Speaker 1: and this ring is probably worth maybe fifty dollars. Excuse me,
- 46:32Speaker 1: I've been I've been in this business for over twenty years.
- 46:35Speaker 1: But you know what, I'm confused on what you just seeing.
- 46:38Speaker 1: And I understand that what I'm trying to explain to
- 46:39Speaker 1: you is that I've been in this business for over
- 46:41Speaker 1: twenty years. I've seen so many different pieces of jewelry.
- 46:44Speaker 1: And this is something that you that you buy late
- 46:48Speaker 1: night on an infomercial for nineteen ninety nine. This is
- 46:51Speaker 1: a Cubic Zaconian stones and the gold is not real
- 46:56Speaker 1: at all. It's like, wait, wait, you lost me. You
- 46:59Speaker 1: lost me as much money as my pen make and
- 47:01Speaker 1: as much money as my father is putting down on
- 47:04Speaker 1: his wedding or has put down. And you're gonna understand
- 47:07Speaker 1: everything you're saying. But Denise, honestly, what I need you
- 47:10Speaker 1: to do is hold on. Wait no, no, no, no no,
- 47:13Speaker 1: I need you to hold on because we need to
- 47:15Speaker 1: call victims. Wait. Wait man. First of all, I can't
- 47:19Speaker 1: wait wait wait, wait, wait wait, hold hold hold on
- 47:24Speaker 1: because we don't okay you wait wait wait what are
- 47:27Speaker 1: you trying to what you're trying to do? Sir? I
- 47:30Speaker 1: need I need you to repeat, because what you just
- 47:32Speaker 1: said to me, Okay, I need personal stuff, man, you
- 47:37Speaker 1: oh you hit it. It's personal now, so I need
- 47:39Speaker 1: you to hold on. Okay, oh she calling man, Okay,
- 47:45Speaker 1: think think hello victim. I wanted to listen to this
- 47:50Speaker 1: jula that's on the phone. I want you to hit it.
- 47:52Speaker 1: And he just told me what's the problem. What you mean,
- 47:54Speaker 1: what's the problem. He gonna tell you what the problem is.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Gonna hit on, sir, gonna hit on. Hello. Yeah, who's
- 48:00Speaker 1: this all right? My name is Gavin. I'm from Diamonds.
- 48:03Speaker 1: And actually your wife, I mean where your fiance rather,
- 48:06Speaker 1: she brought her ring in to actually be resized. Yeah,
- 48:10Speaker 1: and we we also did an appraisal on the ring
- 48:12Speaker 1: for her. And actually the ring is estimated to be
- 48:17Speaker 1: only in the word of around fifty dollars. Fifty dollars,
- 48:22Speaker 1: said sir. Obviously there's some sort of mistakes, sir. Yeah,
- 48:28Speaker 1: what you got to say about fifty dollars, that's that's
- 48:32Speaker 1: got to be some kind of mistakes. And what'd you
- 48:33Speaker 1: say your name was, sir? My name is Gavin. I
- 48:36Speaker 1: work here at Diamonds. I'm the head jeweler here. I've
- 48:38Speaker 1: been here for twenty years, and there's there's no way
- 48:42Speaker 1: that that ring is worth fifty dollars. I know what
- 48:44Speaker 1: I paid for it. So obviously there's some sort of mistakes,
- 48:47Speaker 1: because there's not a mistake. I've been dealing with jury,
- 48:49Speaker 1: I've seen it. I can pretty much look at a ring,
- 48:52Speaker 1: but I actually went into detail on this one, as
- 48:55Speaker 1: I do all of them, And so I promise you
- 48:57Speaker 1: this is probably maybe between forty and fifty dollars for
- 49:01Speaker 1: his workers. No, absolutely not. That's that's impossible. How is
- 49:05Speaker 1: that impossible? He's a jeweler. You heard him say, he's
- 49:07Speaker 1: been doing it for twenty he's the highest. That impossible.
- 49:10Speaker 1: I don't understand that all the money that my dad
- 49:12Speaker 1: is putting down on this wedding and you don't pay
- 49:14Speaker 1: fifty dollars cheap ring. So no, no, no, I did
- 49:18Speaker 1: not buy a team. This is this is this is
- 49:21Speaker 1: obviously some kind of mistake. You didn't got it? Oh,
- 49:23Speaker 1: you show got that right, You show got that right.
- 49:26Speaker 1: So what you got to say for yourself? Fifty don
- 49:29Speaker 1: You can't I believe that that's right. That's this is
- 49:32Speaker 1: obviously some kind of mispair. Oh, it is a mistake.
- 49:34Speaker 1: I'm mispacing me thinking I'm gonna gett married to the
- 49:37Speaker 1: man of my dream. I do have the engagement ring
- 49:39Speaker 1: that was purchased and bought for your wife. No, I
- 49:42Speaker 1: don't think you. I would think you do. I don't
- 49:43Speaker 1: think you have my ring, because if you have my ring,
- 49:45Speaker 1: you wouldn't be telling me this is worth fifty dollars.
- 49:48Speaker 1: I have the ring that your wife, your fiance brought
- 49:52Speaker 1: his wife. Yet hold on, hold on, the man trying
- 49:54Speaker 1: to explain. I'm trying to get to the body. Thank you,
- 49:57Speaker 1: so you have me. I don't think he has the
- 49:59Speaker 1: right ring. I have the right ring. And what I'm
- 50:02Speaker 1: letting you know, sir, is that this is something you
- 50:04Speaker 1: buy on an infomercial in the two oclock in the morning. Dude,
- 50:08Speaker 1: you know I ain't buy a damn ring on infomercial.
- 50:12Speaker 1: I bought the ring from a reputable establishment. I have
- 50:15Speaker 1: the receipt, I have the certificate. So obviously the mistake
- 50:19Speaker 1: is on your And where are the mistakers out here? Sir?
- 50:21Speaker 1: You bought a piece of jump after he's been doing
- 50:24Speaker 1: it all these years? How hell he gonna make a mistake?
- 50:26Speaker 1: What you come off telling me I bought a piece
- 50:29Speaker 1: of jump. I know what I bought. If there's any
- 50:30Speaker 1: mistakes that's been made, it's on your end, world, it's
- 50:33Speaker 1: not on my end. Yeah, don't. Don't you want to
- 50:39Speaker 1: think that my dad has had too much money for
- 50:41Speaker 1: this wedding, So your doll gonna pay fifty dollars dollars
- 50:45Speaker 1: I tell him this, chill hold on. First of all,
- 50:48Speaker 1: I don't appreciate you. I want to tell you this.
- 50:50Speaker 1: This is a typical case of you trying to put
- 50:52Speaker 1: it off on us because you bought a piece of
- 50:54Speaker 1: stuff for fifty bucks. I have the money. Did you
- 50:57Speaker 1: make it? I get fifty dollars worth of a ring?
- 50:59Speaker 1: Then hold on, let me talk to this. Where you
- 51:01Speaker 1: gonna gets I never heard of it. So your wife
- 51:07Speaker 1: knows exactly where. She's the one that brought the ring.
- 51:09Speaker 1: And I tell you what, I'm gonna come down there
- 51:11Speaker 1: to see the ring that you're talking about. If it's
- 51:14Speaker 1: not the ring that I gave my girl, I'm gonna
- 51:16Speaker 1: take seventy six hundred dollars out of your because that's so.
- 51:20Speaker 1: Now you want to jump on me because you bought
- 51:23Speaker 1: your wife a piece. Come on, and you want to
- 51:25Speaker 1: put it on me. You you don't tell me what
- 51:27Speaker 1: the I don't know what the I spin on the
- 51:29Speaker 1: ring and you I don't kind of trying to pull.
- 51:32Speaker 1: First of all, I don't appreciate you coming in my
- 51:33Speaker 1: household trying to mess my and you want to come
- 51:35Speaker 1: at me with this one. I know the ring better
- 51:37Speaker 1: be real. No, if I were you, mister Niece, I
- 51:40Speaker 1: would not marry somebody that's gonna I'm coming there. I'm
- 51:44Speaker 1: looking for your pucket and you know what. You don't
- 51:47Speaker 1: get the ring in a right man, you're gonna go
- 51:48Speaker 1: in it? Could I say one more thing to both
- 51:50Speaker 1: of you? Are better? I tell you what if they did,
- 51:52Speaker 1: I want to hear me, and you're gonna have some
- 51:54Speaker 1: more problems. This is Matthew telling me from the Steve
- 51:57Speaker 1: orvi In Morning show, y'all just got pranked by Niece's system.
- 52:02Speaker 1: That that's why she ain't got no man to do.

- 54:29Speaker 1: click submit Strawberry Letter. Buckle up, hold on tight. Here
- 54:35Speaker 1: it is Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew. Subjects Torn between
- 54:39Speaker 1: my daddy and my man. Here's Stephen Shirley. I am
- 54:43Speaker 1: a thirty two year old single mom of a sixteen
- 54:46Speaker 1: year old and I still live at home with my
- 54:49Speaker 1: eighty four year old father. I have never moved out
- 54:52Speaker 1: because I never wanted my daughter to suffer through any
- 54:54Speaker 1: hardships or go without having the things she wants and needs.
- 54:59Speaker 1: My dad takes good care of us, so that helps
- 55:02Speaker 1: me save money. Here's a problem. I've been dating a
- 55:05Speaker 1: man for four years and we have a great relationship,
- 55:08Speaker 1: but he is pressuring me to move in with him
- 55:11Speaker 1: with my daughter. Financially, I am not ready to start
- 55:15Speaker 1: splitting the expenses with him because I have a few
- 55:18Speaker 1: small bills to pay off first. My boyfriend keeps telling
- 55:21Speaker 1: me that it's not a problem because he will take
- 55:24Speaker 1: care of all the bills. I'm not married to him,
- 55:27Speaker 1: and I need to be sure if I can take
- 55:29Speaker 1: care of myself and my daughter if things don't work
- 55:32Speaker 1: out with this man. There's also a bigger issue that
- 55:35Speaker 1: we need to work out through before I move in
- 55:38Speaker 1: with him. He has told me that if we move
- 55:41Speaker 1: in together, my dad will not be able to come
- 55:45Speaker 1: over to our place to visit. He stated that my
- 55:48Speaker 1: dad has always been rude to him and makes him
- 55:50Speaker 1: feel uncomfortable, and he will not tolerate it in his
- 55:54Speaker 1: own home. He also said my dad will not be
- 55:57Speaker 1: welcome at our family gatherings and outing now my dad, Now,
- 56:02Speaker 1: my dad has not been the kindest person to my
- 56:04Speaker 1: boyfriend and my family, but he is still my dad.
- 56:08Speaker 1: I don't think I should be considering moving in with
- 56:11Speaker 1: my boyfriend if this is something that we won't compromise on.
- 56:14Speaker 1: It seems that he may be a little too controlling,
- 56:17Speaker 1: especially if he will be paying all of the bills.
- 56:19Speaker 1: What do you think I should do? Stay or go? Stay?
- 56:24Speaker 1: I think you should stay with your dad or get
- 56:26Speaker 1: your own place if you can't afford it. I mean,
- 56:29Speaker 1: why would you want to go somewhere with someone who
- 56:31Speaker 1: feels this way about your eighty four year old dad.
- 56:36Speaker 1: You're not married to this man. You didn't mention that
- 56:38Speaker 1: he proposed to you or anything. You're not engaged to him,
- 56:41Speaker 1: and he could be very much controlling. You've been with
- 56:46Speaker 1: him for four years now, you say, and he's promising
- 56:49Speaker 1: that he'll take care of your small bills, your few
- 56:52Speaker 1: small bills if you move in with him. I'm just thinking,
- 56:56Speaker 1: in four years, why hasn't he helped you already? I mean,
- 57:01Speaker 1: that could be one of the reasons your dad doesn't
- 57:03Speaker 1: like him. I just say, you're a mother. You have
- 57:06Speaker 1: a sixteen year old daughter. You have to be an
- 57:08Speaker 1: example for her. I don't think you would once you're
- 57:10Speaker 1: your sixteen year old, I mean your daughter, you know
- 57:14Speaker 1: when she becomes of age. Of course, in a situation
- 57:16Speaker 1: like this, I don't think there's any benefit for you
- 57:19Speaker 1: right now to move in with this guy. I mean,
- 57:21Speaker 1: you're thirty two years old, so you have to move
- 57:24Speaker 1: out one day soon, hopefully and be on your own.
- 57:27Speaker 1: But you should certainly want it to be with the
- 57:30Speaker 1: right guy, with the right situation, and that would be
- 57:34Speaker 1: someone who would at least try to work it out
- 57:36Speaker 1: with your dad. I mean, not shut him out in
- 57:38Speaker 1: a vengeful way like this guy's doing. I don't think
- 57:41Speaker 1: he should turn he should be turning his back on
- 57:44Speaker 1: your dad. That is your dad, after all. I think
- 57:47Speaker 1: you should stay where you are for now. You've been
- 57:49Speaker 1: saving money, save money to move out on your own. Steve,
- 57:54Speaker 1: This is a no goal for me. This is an
- 57:57Speaker 1: absolute no goal. I don't I don't see what you
- 58:03Speaker 1: You're thirty, thirty two years old, you got sixteen year
- 58:06Speaker 1: old daughter you live with, you're eighty four year old father.
- 58:10Speaker 1: This man that came along, you've been dating for four
- 58:13Speaker 1: years now. If y'all gonna move in, why don't y'all
- 58:15Speaker 1: get married? He just wants you to move in, right,
- 58:20Speaker 1: I didn't see marriage on here. You're right, And then
- 58:23Speaker 1: you stay with your father because you didn't want your
- 58:25Speaker 1: daughter to suffer. Your father takes get care of you
- 58:28Speaker 1: in four years. I agree with Shirley, this dude ain't
- 58:31Speaker 1: helped you in four years with the little bills. Damn,
- 58:34Speaker 1: I mean most men. I'm sorry, man, but if you're
- 58:38Speaker 1: listening as a man and you're talking my man, I
- 58:41Speaker 1: ain't gotta help her with her bills, Well you don't
- 58:43Speaker 1: have to. But can I tell you something technically we're
- 58:47Speaker 1: supposed to. I don't know where this got lost in
- 58:52Speaker 1: the good old days, but it's obviously lost because you
- 58:57Speaker 1: all get together now and want to keep everything separate.
- 59:00Speaker 1: You joined together with a person to become one. If
- 59:03Speaker 1: you don't want to become one, quit joining with these
- 59:05Speaker 1: damn people. Damn that this dude down here wants you
- 59:10Speaker 1: to pull up ranks. Then then then here he comes
- 59:12Speaker 1: with his funk ass. Don't tell you after Now your
- 59:16Speaker 1: daddy didn't put it in, all the hard work, you
- 59:18Speaker 1: and your daughter. Now when y'all get together, your damn
- 59:22Speaker 1: daddy can't come over here, can't come over to our play?
- 59:26Speaker 1: Is it? Dad? Been rude? Tuning? Shelly hit it on
- 59:30Speaker 1: the head. She didn't, She said, your daddy's because let
- 59:35Speaker 1: me explain something to you. Eighty fol No, eighty four
- 59:41Speaker 1: year old man. He knows some stuff. He got a
- 59:45Speaker 1: feeling about your boyfriend first of all four years of
- 59:48Speaker 1: coming through that he don't like to do because he
- 59:51Speaker 1: know he ain't about nothing because he eighty four and
- 59:54Speaker 1: he know how he should be active and he ain't
- 59:57Speaker 1: seeing that. So now he don't like him. Eighty folk
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: knows something you don't, and it's something about this boy
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: he don't like. And he ain't gonna turn his daughter
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: and his little princess over to these dude that's what
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: he don't like it now. Your boyfriend, No, he don't
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: like it, and he feel uncomfortable with him not liking him. Now,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: he don't want him over at the house because he
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: said he make him feel uncomfortable when he comes. You
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: know why make him feel uncomfortable because he's shady and
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: old dudes know it and they ain't going to play
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: that game that you in their house. He said your
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: dad would not be welcome at our family gatherings and
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: out it. Hey, man, your daddy, eighty folk, this dude
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: can't pull his manhood pants up a little bit tighter
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: for however long your daddy got left and at least
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: just be cordier to the man. He might not be
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: the greatest to you. But but he might not be
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: the greatest to him, but to you and that girl,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: he'd been y'alls everything. And if he can't honor and
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: respect the fact that this man then lived eighty four
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: years and then took care of you when obviously you
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: had the baby at sixteen, he put you out, he
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: embraced you. Come on, girl, I got you at her now. Man,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: this is not to do and he just want to
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: move you in. You're scared to go, and the reason
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: you're scared to go because you don't feel secure with him.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Oh that's right, you don't feel secure with this guy. Man,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: it's the Strawberry Gold Letter going this move you know why?
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: Because jam here insecure. I just felt like, you know,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: no time. It just you know, I've been doing this
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: Strawberry letter for years, Rachelley, We'll just be doing it.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Her response, my respont and all of a sudden I
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: noticed all my damn response. I gotta stop and address something.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Hold on sid and a bit of black Man. Part
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three after
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: the hours Fresh. You're listening, all right, Steve, come on,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry Letter and get Part two of
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: your response. Thirty two year old woman got a sixteen
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: year old baby, been living at home with an eighty
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: four year old father because she didn't want to move out,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: because she wanted her daughter to suffer her dad take
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: good care of him so that helps her save the
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: money problem she got. She'd been dating this man for
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: four years. She said, they got a great relationship. But
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: he's pressuring me to move in with him with my daughter. Now,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: the ladies say she ain't ready to do that financially
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: because she because she ain't ready to start splitting expenses
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: with him, because she got a few small bills to
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: pay off. And my boyfriend keep telling her, dad ain't
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: no problem. See what's gonna making the different for you?
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Now you could have been helping this girl with her
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: financial problem, but you didn't. Now you're gonna come move
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: in and I'm gonna help you. See, this is a
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: dude that always wants something for something, So you gotta
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: look at what this is. And your father, he hadn't
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: told you that he don't want that you're eighty four
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: year old daddy to come nowhere near his house. He
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: ain't welcome. He can't come in there. Because he made
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: him feel uncomfortable. You know why, they're eighty four year
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: old man making feel uncomfortable because eighty four, No, eighty
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: four knows some things and he hadn't read this dude,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: and he don't like the way he head. He ain't
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: got enough says to honor the fact that this is
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: your eighty four year old daddy. And how much ever
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: longer he got at least let y'all have y'all time together.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: But that don't suit what he wants. So his stand
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: it trifling, non compla amising self sinning. He won't all
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: to go his way. Well that's not how it works.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: So now you even said your dad ain't been the
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: kindest person to your boyfriend because your daddy, No, Now
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: I don't think I should be considered moving in with
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: my boyfriend. And this is something that he won't compromise on.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: You shouldn't. So now you can't have relationship with your
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: daddy who has always had his arms open to you
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: and your daughter to have relationship, and this dude wants
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: you to sever that relationship. Who wants that to happen? Man?
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: What decent man? So you gotta ask yourself a couple
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: of questions about your boyfriend. Why won't he do anything
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: to make me happy? You've been dating for for years?
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: Why don't he marry you? Why don't he help you
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: with your bills? Now? What is it about him that
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: your daddy know that he don't like about it? Now?
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Why is it he don't want want your daddy over
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: to the house no more, and don't want your daddy
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: coming to no family gatherers. This is eighty four year
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: old man that's been holding the family down his entire
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: adult male life. Now hit this, dude, This is not
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: a good relationship to get into. If I were you,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: I would say no. And if he can't, at least
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: treat your father DC. Even if your father is a
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: little rude, he old, So it's okay. Yeah, yeah, I'm
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: tell you right now, you're lucky. Wasn't my daddy slick Harvey?
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: Let me explain something to you. My father, man, he
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: didn't something about See, old dude was at their house.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: They don't play, They don't change nothing at their house. Tommy,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: your daddy was the same way. This is his house.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: My daddy was the same way, this his house, coming
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: in here fixing nothing for you. If he don't like you.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: You're gonna find out about it if you come in
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: his house. I had a friend of mine that my
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: daddy didn't like. He couldn't come past the kitchen. What
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: do you mean, Jeffrey overhill? Jeff stay there by that dough.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Jeffrey couldn't make it in. No, Jeffrey could not come
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: in my house because you know we're a little small house.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: You come through the back door. When you open the
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: door to refrigerator, you could touch refrigerator when you open
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: the door to the left and behind it. I mean
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: you could touch the stove to the left, and refrigerator
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: was behind the door. When Jeffrey come in, he come
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: in the kitchen. He can shut the door. Couldn't bring
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: his ass out that kitchen because he ain't like Jeffrey.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: He's still oh okay, Yeah, my daddy had somebody like that.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: He ain't like one of my pots. You always get
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: my potet two spoons. They clicked spoons again, and and
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: and you know, my friend be like, what mister, what
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: I'm doing this? I didn't know where you had my

- 1:07:16Speaker 1: spoons there time I'm walking in here. Oh, school is
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: just funny, isn't it. Jeffrey Gil stayed by the damn
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: doge I'm talking about bybe four friends come over. Jeffrey
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: come in and he knew. You know, my friends laughed
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: at eight. Gil stay there, stay do mister Harvey. I'm
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: right here, Hey, mister Harvey. How miss Harvey? He miter,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: you stay your ad by that Doughey, we're being there
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: for ten minutes. They be waiting on me anything. He
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: could not come past that dope, man, don't walk past it.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: Figerate that was this mark like Jeffrey's parents. Did they
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: know his parents? Na, Jeffrey Jeffrey lived one hundred and fourteen.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: My dad ain't talking nobody over over there. You know,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: we don't go far, hey man. My daddy was clear,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: we want twelve street people, we want twelve street pick

- 1:08:19Speaker 1: they're doing round your bike over there. You can go
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: over there, but there ain't me nobody Mama Dad over there.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I don't know them. People don't know what they're doing
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: over there. That's funny. It's the truth, man, they were
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: don't go around now we're on street people were hunted
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: twelve street people. I know there. I know how they
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: keep their yard. I know how the garbage can look.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I know when they present a trash out on the curve.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: I know the people. Yeah, I don't like where they garbage.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: Can't look over there all being at all up and

- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Coming up in ten minutes from the Talk. It will
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: be our girl, Cheryl Underwood. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: All right, babies and gentlemen, she underwater. They ain't Harvey man,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: My only friend that ain't in trouble, ain't in the media.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: Don't go damn y'all know it? Hey s wrong? Oh,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: can't have a birthday party for your kids? Man? Oh,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: Kevin whatever? You know what? That was absolutely ridiculous. Man
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: let that go, which was stee No, he canna have
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: a birthday for what they gotta do with it, and
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: there ain't nothing to do with things, giving enoughing, it's
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: a birthday party for his kid. Man, Damn, we get
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: so mad about everything. Yeah, we ain't mad, but when
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: man steve, but look at it, look at it like
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: that the way that Indians get done. Now, you know
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: what I'm saying. It's not like when we was younger.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: We were younger, Westerns was everywhere. We didn't really know
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: that there was gonna be the destruction of a whole civilization.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: You know, we're just playing a little game. Then whose
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: side is who? Now? If you're playing a custom, Okay,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: the Indians one that we're right one. If you playing
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: then all of them, then the Indians one that one.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: But they don't always win that one. And sometimes when
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: we know better, we do better. I get you, I
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: totally get your point that this is a one year
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: old child don't know nothing about it. That's where people
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: was tripping too hard. Child don't know nothing about child
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: didn't even ask for the birthday party. Well, the one
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: year old didn't throw the party. No, he don't even
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: know what his birthday. No, no, no, no, I needed
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: to go to check your cheese. Where a kid could
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: be a kid. And do you really think do people
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: really think that Kevin did this with some ill intent? No, no,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: that's why that's my guy. Yeah he's not. And I
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: said he you know, I said on talk he my friend.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: I don't believe he did this purposefully. But you know
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: the world is changing from even things that we casually
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: say and do and then people trip and then we're
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: in the public eye. So they really tripped. You know.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: It's things we used to do and say when we
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: was younger that do nobody you don't say nothing, you know.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: It's it's worse that we can't even use now that
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: have no ill will, But we used them, you know
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: when we was growing up. I can't even use them
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: on the radio because I don't want to destroy everything
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: we build it. You know what I'm saying, this is
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: just the world were end right well to everything people
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: say stuff. But here's a deal. Yeah, you open yourself
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: up for critics and the internet is a playground for
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: the haters in the devil. I don't Kevin Hard, I
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: can show you did this with no ill intent, no
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: forethought about this being Thanksgiving and and and and the
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: Pilgrims and all like this. Right, we got a wead
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: bigger problem than Kevin Hart's damn birthday. And we got
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: a man in the White House man that's making tweeting statements. Yes,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: I wasn't with this bashion of this brother for this
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: right here. Can't be with birthday party do it. But
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: I think sometimes we as people in the public, out
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: of celebrities, you know, we need to be a more
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: restrained with what we post and what we say. Look
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: at Kim Kardashian talk. She was on stasy when she
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: got married the first time, and she was on ecstasy
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: when she was in the sexty. I didn't know extacy
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: making y'all move like that. Now listen to me. I
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: saw I didn't you Tommy me ray J need an award.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: Ray c Ain't nobody saluting Ray ray J. It's that
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: dude for me. Girl. I know I'm old. I know
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: I'm old enough to be your grandma auntie girl. I'm
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: just saying, but listen, when I got married, I was
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: stone coach sober went over to the jests of the
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: peace Cook County, right, downtown in Chicago with Charlie Scrawberries.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: We went to a tavern for my reception. It wasn't tavern.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: I didn't hand no hard. I didn't use but thorn,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: cruel rule. I didn't I didn't use end of the Rainbow.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: You know what I said. I didn't handle good play.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: I went to a tavern for my reception. I wasn't
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: on no drugs. Only drug I was on was crown
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: Row straight straight. I'm drinking that cram, stay all night
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: long like a lot of Richard. Yeah, listen to me.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: It was the best man. And my job didn't where
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: my job did moving get your children away from the radio?
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Can I ask you a question, Yes, ask me a question,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Steve Harris, What made Kim Kardashian even mentioned ecstasy in
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: the first place? What made you talking to her sister?
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: And I guess her sister was kind of asking, you know,
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: they put their business on the street, keeping up with
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: the Kardashian you know what I'm saying. So she was
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: talking to her sister, I think one of the Kendall
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Kylie one of them, and she was talking about how
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: she was wild back in the day and yeah, and
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: then she brought back up the sex take. You know
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: what I really wanted to talk about is why is
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: Tristan still in the family. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: I'd be mad. I saw you, you got me pregnant.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: I'm in the hospital having the baby. I find out
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: you at the club kicking it. I'm gonna be mad.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: Now see I'm walking out. I'm gonna walk out with
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: the with the you know, the down in the back
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: with the bag open, straight booted, all out of the wind.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: I mean, you're gonna see me at the club and
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: knock some brawls out with an I V bad. Listen
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: to me, I can fight with one. Listen to me.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: I'm anna twirl that day, gonna I V polls like
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Bruce Lee and into the dragon. I'm sorry, but you
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: went way back. Yeah yeah, listen. Oh listen to me.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: I'm having your baby. I'm mad anyway, car A Surrey,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: Come on, we're mad anyway. We having somebody baby and
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: you messing around with another bra. I was definitely mad
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: at r Now you're right about that. I was. Listen.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: I no though she was mad mad, Yeah she was,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: but she but she needs to be mad enough. You
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: need to get revenge. You need to You don't to
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: sleep with somebody daddy or something. That's that's vengeance. I'm
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: sorry that. Yeah, and then she just had the baby.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Just sleep with somebody. Yeah, that hurt your feelings. You
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: sleep with a dude relative or they boy dudes break up.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: See that's what I'm saying. It's too much stuff going
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: on in the world. Better you better t this up.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Listen to me. I come right at that room with
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: a licking stow hat on the bathside of the cigarette.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: All right. Coming up next is Carla and her reality update.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to stow all right, it's
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: that time. She is here, Carla with reality update. All right,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: let's go. Oh, go ahead, girl, go ahead, listen to
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: this Real Housewives of Atlanta, let's go. So Cynthia Bailey,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: she hosted a bailey Que lot of barbecue, but a
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: bailey Que. It was cute. It was four the fourth
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: of July celebration. It was pot luck. The ladies off.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: You know, they keep ahead, they take, yes, lie, they
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: don't take. In the future, you're gonna stop twenty nineteen, No, well,
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: the season you know they come on. You know TV guy,
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: you know it's tape. They've already taped at the show. Yeah, yes,
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: that's what I meant. Yes, So she called it the
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Bailey Q. Anyway, while the ladies were there, they were
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: playing games and everything, and they played this game called
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: Past the Peach. So each person that got a peach,
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: you know, the fruit peach, they had to answer questions
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: or pass the peach to the person that they thought
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: the question was about. So one of the questions was
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: who was a big liar? And so your girl Marlowe
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: said from the past. She said, I think it's poor
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: chef of the future. I would say Eva. So Eva
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: got mad and then Candy through shaded Eva. Basically, they're
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: trying to figure out what's up with Eva because she
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: kind of talks about people um to their friends about
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: that person, but then when she kind of gets around
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: that person that she's talking about, she kind of cool
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: with him. So they're trying to figure out what's up
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: with that because Candy pointed it out. And Candy was like,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure this out because you talked about
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: this girl Shamia, and now here you are making her
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: play at the party. You putting Bean diplay. Nothing about Nini. Well,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: she her and Nini are very cool. She wants Nini
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: to be in her wedding. Eva's about to get married
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: and she's asked Nini to be involved. So Nini, it's like,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: you know, that's her girl. So she's trying to give
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: her a chance. But you know, they all got a
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: little eyebrow up with Eva. Anyway. Shamari Devote so Ronnie
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: Devote from BBD New edition. His wife is on the show.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: So now Shamari da Vote told Ronnie's mother, her mother
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: in law, Mama da Vot, that her and her husband
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: had an open relationship at one point. Mama da Vot, Yes,
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: she did, Yes, she did. They were at a bakery
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: and they were doing they're planning, you know, Shamari and
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: her husband, Ronnie, they have twin boys, and they were
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: playing in the birthday party for the boys and they
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: were tasting cakes and just you know, getting involved in
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: all that. And she said that she told her mother
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: in law that basically Ronnie could date other women, and
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: that she could date other women because she was bi
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: curious what is that she could not date other men
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: though he did not allow her to date other men,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: but she could do what she wanted to do with
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: other women, right, and you're curious about what it will
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: be like to be with the woman with the woman. Yeah,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: if you're that's what they called it. By curs, that's
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: what she called I'm fifty one. I don't know none
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: of this film all didn't this new Yeah, just what
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: happened on the show. That's what they're about to say.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: You by curious too because you kids about other women.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: I'm just gonna tell you that it ain't gonna be good.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna shut that down. Okay, I'm not
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: gonna say that. I'm not gonna say that. You So anyway,
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: this was crazy because Shamari da Vox is sitting there
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: with Mama Davot with her mother in law talking about
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: that they had an open marriage in that you know,
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: Ronnie got busy though with his hall pass well women.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: He he just went to town. And so the mother
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: in law was like, you know, the advice that she
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: had to her daughter in law because there was some
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: tension to dat. Shamari felt like her mother in law
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: didn't like her at first. It was some shade going on.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: That was a lot for the mother in law that
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: was a lot to She was just they were just
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: having him home it and she just opened up and
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: she told her mother in law, you know you didn't
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: like me at first. And that ain't moment conversation though, Carl,
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: that ain't moment. I mean you know that's between her
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: and her mother in law. The cameras were rolling and
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: it was there, and then her mother in law, Mama devote, said, well,
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: you opened the door and you let the devil in
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: into your relationship. Because now it's a closed relationship. It's
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: not open anymore. Oh they shut it, you can open
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: close it. Youn't know that. I please my wife. My
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: wife wasn't here, none of this crazy man. You would
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: so Sureley you were a wife. No, ma'am, I wouldn't either.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: I'm a wife. I'm sure we know Marjorie Harvey would
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: not his relationship and that dough and then your checkbook. Yeah,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: there you go. You're gonna open up all this you
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: coming here with this foolish jackie mas ain't hear that right?
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: The partner? But what if you could get a haul pass?
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: I'd be scared of it. Now. I don't want it.
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: I don't want it, man, because I don't. I don't.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: I don't need to start that engine back up. No, no, no,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: that that dude right there, that was in my past.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: I need to stay his ass right where he at
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: in my past. Right, he don't need to show back up.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: Thank you, Man to man was so good. I want
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: to thank you for that honesty that Carla finish. I'm
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: just listening to that. All right. Well, that was it,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: And you know, we already talked about Keeping up with
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: the Kardashians. You know, we talked about Kim and the
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: whole RAYJ thing and he ray J disputing what Kim
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: said that she was on exstasy about the sex tape.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: We talked about that yesterday, So I'll keep watching Keeping
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Up with the Kardashians. Loving Hip Hop New York is
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: back yesterday. So yes, it's back with Joe Button and
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: Remy Mah and Pappoos. Yeah yea yeah, so that's back.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: So a lot of shows are back. Oh and don't
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: forget Ready to Love and Ready to Love Ready Nephew

- 1:23:36Speaker 1: got the seventh episode coming on this side, and you
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: know it's narrowing down, and man, these women something else
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: and good and and and y'all always ask me something.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: It'd be ten seconds. All right, Well, we just want
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: to mention and give you a short hit me up
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: my car, go ahead, all right, all right, we'll be
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: at did this you're listening to show Beauty mugul Raynell's steward.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: We know her as super Scent on the Graham. Of course,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: she's been waking making waves, big waves as a social
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: media sensation, Steve, since the Vine days. Remember the Vine days?
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: Do it for the Vine? Yeah, no it's not nothing, No,
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: no it's not, but super Scent is happening. In fact,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: just last year, super launched her own cosmetic line, the
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: Crayon Case. It's a palette resembling a box of crayons
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: that we used to get when we were kids, dedicated
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: to new makeup users. So now fast forward, Supercent hit
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: the jackpot this week on Cyber Monday, when in less
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: than two hours she made get this guy's one million dollars. Okay,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: so good for her, right sore Craon case. Yes, Uh,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: now super is thanking everyone for supporting her million dollars
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: day in half an hour, well an hour and a half,
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: you know, so she says, God, thank you. Super Scent
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: went on to say a B word busted tables and
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: cleansed and cleaned hotel rooms. Don't tell me it's not possible. So,
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: I mean, we're you know, we wanted to point out that, Steve,
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: you just talked about being successful yesterday in your closing remarks,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: and you know what it's like now, success is not
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: for everybody, and everybody won't be successful. And the people
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: for starters to people that won't be successful are the
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: people who don't believe they'll ever be successful. That's the
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: beginning of it. You have to believe that you can
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: be successful. It merely starts with the hope of being successful. See,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: so let's not downplay the possibilities of hope. Man, I
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: hope I'll be successful one day. That's the beginning of it.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: Faith is to substance of things hope for see, it
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: starts out merely as hope. Because this girl bust tables
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: and cleaned hotel rooms and she made a million dollars
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: in one day because she was hoping one day she
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: wasn't busting tables no more. She was hoping one day
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: that she wasn't cleaning the hotel room. And then she
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: believed that she could do better than busting tables or
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: cleaning the hotel rooms. And I'm not saying there's nothing
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: wrong with that. I'm just saying, if that's not where
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: you that happy place for you, you can start the
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: process by hoping for more. Then you start the process
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: by believing that there's more. And that's what she did.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: And I say right on to a congratulation that salute. Yeah. Yeah. Meanwhile,
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: Carla Black China is as a new bleaching cream. Is
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: that it's really? Yeah? I heard something about she bleached
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: her skin? Did she bleach her scan? Okay, so this
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: is the story. She went to Nigeria with this bleaching cream.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: It's called white Initia. Is that it? Yeah? And she
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: went to Nigeria with it. She went over there. I
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: guess does she want to sell it over there? She
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: wanted to sell it her and she sold it over there.
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: So yeah, now she's back. Right. People in Africa and
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: bleached they say, well, well yeah, I mean it's not
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: Sammy Sosa. He went he went overboard. Man. Yeah, when
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: I saw him, he scared me. And the before and
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: after picture don't put him side by side. Oh my god,
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: talk about scary. Yeah. Wow. Yeah, that's a lot of
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: stuff going on in the world, it really is. He
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: had beautiful skin color man. Yeah, all right, we'll be
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:29:19Speaker 1: celebrate h Quincy, Steve Goddess really big, Yeah, yeah, he
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: really deserves that. A man, Yeah cool, dude too, man,

- 1:29:48Speaker 1: eighty five Quincy Jones on Sunday, December Night. That's going
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: to be on e b et, So make sure you
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: check that out. I can't wait to see that. Um Oprah.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: You remember when he met her, he put her in
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: the movie Color Purple. She wasn't acting, you know, in movies,
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: before Quincy met her and put her in that movie.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: So they've been lifelong friends since that. I thought the
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: promo for this show, it looks fantastic, it looks good.
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: It looks good. You're right, it does. Can't wait, and
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: he's got some singers, Fantasia Jennifer Hudson. Come on, hey guys,
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: I know this is early, but I was thinking the
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: New Year's resolutions. And you know how we always do
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: New Year's resolutions and you end up breaking one, all right,
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: So I'm gonna do mine now. Oh, Okay, it's early,
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: you're right, but go ahead. My New Year's resolution for
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: two thousand nineteen is. I ain't gonna say nothing bout timing.
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: That's why I said, I'm gonna just gonna get that
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: one out to wait. Now, you're gonna break that today
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: year the show, right, No, that's why I say. You
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: know we always break them, So I'm gonna go say
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: mine now in late November. I still want to see
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: this Christmas tree, even if we ain't compete. I want
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: to see the Christmas now tom When when will it
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: be decorated and finished? Why don't you let him see
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: day after tomorrow? Okay, you gotta let us see the
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: tree man. Why don't you let him see it? Steve? What? No,
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: I don't have tree feeling, Steve, You're not gonna hurt
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: my tree? What? Oh? You best. Your wife did a
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: spectac Yes it's beautiful. Oh she bossed it out though. Yeah.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: All right, coming up our last break of the day
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: and some closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey.
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: Right after this, we'll be back at forty nine after
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Show. All right, Steve, here we are,
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: last break of the day. It's been a good day, yes, yeah,
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: yes it has. And now it's your turn, Steve to
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: leave us with some closing remarks. Enlighten us please. I
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: was talking to somebody today at my house. I had
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: a meeting and as usual, I was just vamping with
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: this guy and we were just sitting there, going over
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: so many things. He's a younger guy. He's really really
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: smart guy. Man, really really smart man, younger to me.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: He's in his thirties, so, you know, and we were
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: sitting there, we were at my house. We were talking
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: and he said, mister Harvey, what do you think stops
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: most possibilities? And that was an interesting way to do it,
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: you know, instead of him saying to me, what stops
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: most people's dreams or aspirations? He posed it that way,
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: and so it caused me to think when he said
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: what stops most people's possibilities, he caused me to think
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: of it another way. In my response to him, what's
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: kind of different? I said, most people get stopped from
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: their possibilities by focusing too much on the probabilities. And
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: he said, wow, what you mean by that? And I
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: had to catch myself because I was just, you know,
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: just doing me and it just like like a light bulb.
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: You know, when you talk about the probabilities, you always
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: talk about, you know, what can happen in the event
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: of you know, well, if you do this, you know
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: there's a possible the probability you started talking about what
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: can probably happen. You know, you could probably go broke.
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: You know, you could probably get turned down, you could
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: probably end up without anything, you could probably fall flat,
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: you could probably fail. Well, if you keep going through
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: the probable abilities of something, you'll never get started with
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: the possibilities of something. So what I'm saying to you
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: in these clothes and remarks today is if I were you,
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: because this is what I did and I'm not. You
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: know what's crazy about me, man, is I'm I'm usually
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: not the smartest guy in the room. I've gotten myself
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: around people who are better than me in several areas.
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: You know, on this radio show, I have people who
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: are better than me in areas. Shirley has a better
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: voice than I do. Carla has more radio knowledge than
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: I do. Monica Bonds is more technical with bookings and
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: with products and placement and all of this stuff that
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: goes with ads. There are people around me that's better
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: than me. Tommy does pranks better than me. Tommy is
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: a better actor than me. So I'm usually admittedly, and
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: I tell people this and they think I'm kidding. I'm
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: usually not the smartest person in most of the rooms
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: I've gotten in because I've learned to surround myself with
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: people who are better than me in a lot of areas.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: That way, I don't have to worry about the probabilities.
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: I keep my focus on the possibilities. You got to
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: look at the possibilities in life, because let me tell
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: you something, if I looked at the probabilities, I wouldn't
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: be sitting here today. I'm from Welch, West Virginia, a
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: coal mine in town. I grew up in a holler.
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: The probability is that I ain't supposed to be here.
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: The possibility is that I am. I grew up in
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: the hood on one hundred and twelfth in Superior. The
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: probability is that I'm not supposed to be here. The
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: possibility is that I am I had a severe stuttering
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: problem as a child. The probability of me being here
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: is not good. The possibility is here, I am. The
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: probability of a person being homeless and living in a car.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: The probability ain't that good. The possibility is here, I am.
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: I am saying to you that whatever situation you are
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: in today, stop looking at the probability. Though this will
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: probably happen. If you do that, that will probably happen.
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: If you do this, This will probably happen. If you
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: do that, damn that. What about the possibility? If you
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: focus on the possibility, it changes your landscape. The view
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: is different from possibilities. It's very different from the view
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: of the probability. The probability causes you to look at
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: the what ifs, The probability causing you to look at
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: the potential failure. The probability causes you to look at
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: the problems. The possibility let you look at the what
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: could be, the what's possible? The Why not me, the man?
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: Why don't I try? That's the possibility, man, It's so
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: much better than the probability. So quit getting hung up
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: on the probabilities. This probably won't work. They probably won't
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: pick me. I probably fail. I probably won't get it right.
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: This probably CAUs me to lose my job. I probably
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: had to quit that to try to do that. I
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: don't think I can quit that. To do that, you're
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: tripping on the probabilities and you're losing focus of the possibilities.
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: And the possibilities is where God is. God is in
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: the possibility, because all things are possible. Through him, all
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: things are possible. With God in your life, all things
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: is possible. With prayer, all things is possible. That's what
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: I learned today. Those are my clothing else star focusing
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: on the possibility. Right, Well, yeah, you don't never stop
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: damn room, y'all have a great weekend. Clothes clothed. Watch
