- 0:01Speaker 1: If you're flying, Democrats are playing with your safety. They
- 0:05Speaker 1: know that they're playing with your safety, and they're wanting
- 0:08Speaker 1: it to hurt. They're wanting you to miss flights, they're
- 0:11Speaker 1: wanting you to stand in long lines, and they want
- 0:13Speaker 1: you to blame Donald Trump. But what they're not talking
- 0:16Speaker 1: about is how unsafe the skies have become because of
- 0:20Speaker 1: the pressure they've deliberately chosen to put on the system.
- 0:24Speaker 1: And the Federal Aviation Administration has directed airlines to reduce
- 0:27Speaker 1: flight operations at forty of the busiest US airports by
- 0:32Speaker 1: four percent, immediately ramping that up to six percent by
- 0:36Speaker 1: November the eleventh. If the deal isn't done now, the
- 0:39Speaker 1: present telling FAA you better get back to work. And
- 0:43Speaker 1: those that were true American patriots, he wants to give
- 0:46Speaker 1: them a big bonus. I'm gonna tell you more about
- 0:49Speaker 1: that coming up now. Part of this shutdown is gonna
- 0:52Speaker 1: cost you a lot of money. Obamacare is going to
- 0:56Speaker 1: be the center of that, and that's what the big
- 0:59Speaker 1: fight is over right now. In fact, Obamacare insurers bet
- 1:04Speaker 1: four hundred billion on the shutdown of the Democrats.
- 1:09Speaker 2: That's right.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Health insurers have never had it so good. Their stocks
- 1:14Speaker 1: are up more than one thousand percent since Obamacare passed,
- 1:18Speaker 1: and they now receive roughly a trillion dollars per year
- 1:23Speaker 1: and federal government subsidies. Remember when Obama said that the
- 1:26Speaker 1: costs were going to come down, No, it's now costing
- 1:29Speaker 1: you a trillion dollars per year, your tax dollars. Now
- 1:35Speaker 1: that much tax money is at stake. So politics are
- 1:40Speaker 1: seeing a massive flow of cash going to hard left
- 1:43Speaker 1: leaning candidates and elected officials. In the last presidential campaign,
- 1:49Speaker 1: for example, insurers gave five times more money to Kamala
- 1:54Speaker 1: Harris to protect their one trillion dollars a year from you,
- 1:57Speaker 1: then to Donald Trump. Blueshit of California donated a half
- 2:01Speaker 1: a million. In United Health donated seventy five thousand, for example,
- 2:05Speaker 1: to Governor Gavin Newsom's ballot measure effort Proposition fifty. Why Well,
- 2:11Speaker 1: that could hand Democrats a big advantage, and that would
- 2:15Speaker 1: hand health insurance a big advantage as well, because adding
- 2:19Speaker 1: five additional seats in Congress to the Democrats Jerrymanner in California,
- 2:24Speaker 1: that is clearly good for the increases that the Democrats
- 2:28Speaker 1: are giving to the insurance companies. Now, the strategy also
- 2:32Speaker 1: appears to be paying off. Democrats in Congress are repaying
- 2:37Speaker 1: the favor by shutting down the government in order to
- 2:40Speaker 1: keep four hundred billion in Obamacare sepsies flowing from the
- 2:44Speaker 1: American taxpayer directly to the insurance company's pockets. Now you
- 2:49Speaker 1: understand why Democrats were so held bent on shutting down
- 2:53Speaker 1: the government. Now, by the way, these and I want
- 2:56Speaker 1: you to listen carefully, we're temporary. The four hundred billion
- 3:01Speaker 1: in Obamacare subsidies were temporary during the COVID era in
- 3:07Speaker 1: hand subsidies. So when COVID nineteen happened, there were these
- 3:10Speaker 1: enhanced subsidies at the Democrats and their insurance company benefactors.
- 3:14Speaker 2: They want them.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Even though there's no COVID right now, and they want
- 3:18Speaker 1: to make it permanent. Insurers have been enrolling people who
- 3:23Speaker 1: aren't even aware that they have coverage and don't use
- 3:27Speaker 1: the policies. Why because it pours more federal cash into
- 3:31Speaker 1: insurance companies coffers without requiring any outlays on the insurer's part.
- 3:37Speaker 1: It is a scam whose scale and duplicity is only
- 3:41Speaker 1: achievable at the intersection of corporate cronyism and a massive
- 3:45Speaker 1: bloated federal budget. We keep sending them the money, they
- 3:49Speaker 1: keep deposing the checks they're winning, and the political patronage
- 3:53Speaker 1: doesn't stop there. Health insurance are already paying back the
- 3:57Speaker 1: Democrats this year. They're hiking the Obamacare premiums by twenty
- 4:02Speaker 1: six percent, even though overall US healthcare costs are up
- 4:07Speaker 1: only about six percent. The Obamacare premiums up twenty six
- 4:11Speaker 1: percent because it's guaranteed tax dollars from you to the
- 4:16Speaker 1: insurance companies. Now that is a sharp contrast to last year,
- 4:21Speaker 1: when insurers held premium hikes to just four percent as
- 4:24Speaker 1: Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were running for reelection they
- 4:27Speaker 1: needed the cost to stay low. After Donald Trump got elected,
- 4:31Speaker 1: premiums are jumping by twenty six percent.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Now here's the question.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Did insurance company simply defer those losses into this year?
- 4:41Speaker 1: Are they actively punishing Republicans who face midterm election year
- 4:46Speaker 1: and they want them to lose? You can decide, because
- 4:49Speaker 1: both our goals that the left beliefs are actually achievable. Now,
- 4:53Speaker 1: this health insurance company led government shut down has had
- 4:57Speaker 1: the effect of supporting Democrats and other controversial shutdowns the
- 5:01Speaker 1: pass that make no sense, such as keeping, for example,
- 5:05Speaker 1: nearly two hundred billion and free healthcare benefits flowing to
- 5:10Speaker 1: illegal immigrants.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Yes, that is how corrupt this shutdown is.
- 5:14Speaker 1: They want you to give two hundred billion and free
- 5:17Speaker 1: healthcare to illegal immigrants that broke into this country. Meanwhile,
- 5:21Speaker 1: while that's happening, health insurers are not putting federal substats
- 5:25Speaker 1: to use for the benefit of rate payers and taxpayers.
- 5:30Speaker 1: In fact, keeping with tradition, right with much of what
- 5:32Speaker 1: the federal government does in the federal budget, your money
- 5:35Speaker 1: is actually going directly down the drain.
- 5:38Speaker 2: How do we know this?
- 5:40Speaker 1: Federal auditors project that the Medicare advantage over billing will
- 5:46Speaker 1: exceed one trillion dollars this decade, meaning that this year
- 5:53Speaker 1: you're going to overpay by about one hundred million dollars.
- 5:58Speaker 1: The Trump administration has increased Medicare payments by twenty five billion,
- 6:04Speaker 1: of which United Healthcare, for example, alone may receive about
- 6:08Speaker 1: seven billion dollars in guaranteeing funds from the federal government.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Again, your tax dollars.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Soon after that, the Wall Street Journal reported that United Healthcare,
- 6:20Speaker 1: the biggest Obamacare insurer, paid nine billion, nine billion dollars
- 6:27Speaker 1: to AARP. I've been warning you for years about the
- 6:31Speaker 1: corruption of ARP. They paid them nine billion to ARP,
- 6:34Speaker 1: essentially to stamp its name on the company's Medicare plans.
- 6:39Speaker 1: That comes as United faced a federal investigation and a
- 6:43Speaker 1: Medicare over billing at risk that could threaten its long
- 6:48Speaker 1: term solvency. Now, imagine if that nine billion had gone
- 6:52Speaker 1: to patients instead of to the insurance company. How many
- 6:56Speaker 1: of those seniors could have actually gotten help. Now, if
- 7:00Speaker 1: Republicans agree to extend the Obamacare subsidies, it should come
- 7:04Speaker 1: with a condition making sures pay for the privilege. One
- 7:08Speaker 1: option is to pass the bipartisan No Upcode Act, which
- 7:13Speaker 1: would curb the industry's at Medicare advantage over billing. It
- 7:17Speaker 1: would help put an end to the practice of using
- 7:20Speaker 1: inaccurate or exaggerated diagnosises to inflate the claims that are
- 7:26Speaker 1: being reimbursed by US the taxpayers. The Congressional Budget Office,
- 7:30Speaker 1: for example, estimates the measure would save taxpayers one hundred
- 7:34Speaker 1: and twenty four billion dollars.
- 7:37Speaker 2: That's why they don't want to do it.
- 7:38Speaker 1: That's why Democrats are fighting so hard to mandate these
- 7:43Speaker 1: substas are extended.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Now, of the one.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Hundred and twenty four billion that could be saved. Half
- 7:48Speaker 1: could extend Obamacare substies for two years. The rest could
- 7:52Speaker 1: be used to reduce the deficit. Another reason why Democrats
- 7:56Speaker 1: are saying no, so here we are after raising the premiums,
- 8:00Speaker 1: cutting the benefits, facing federal investigations for overbilling Medicare. Insurers
- 8:05Speaker 1: need to rebuild public confidence, not get rewarded for their corruption.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Backing a government shutdown to get foreigner billion is the
- 8:15Speaker 1: wrong approach. But now you understand why Democrats are doing
- 8:18Speaker 1: it and why there should be backlash from conservatives now
- 8:22Speaker 1: that you know the facts, if Republicans go along with it,
- 8:26Speaker 1: every so often something happens that reminds us just how
- 8:29Speaker 1: fragile our freedoms are. We can't afford to take our
- 8:32Speaker 1: rights for granted. We must draw a line in the sand,
- 8:36Speaker 1: and our friends at Patriot Mobile have been doing just
- 8:39Speaker 1: that for more than twelve years. The truth is there
- 8:43Speaker 1: is only one provider that boldly stands in the gap
- 8:46Speaker 1: for Americans who believe freedom is worth fighting for, and
- 8:49Speaker 1: that company is Patriot Mobile. Not only are they leading
- 8:53Speaker 1: the red economy, they're also outpacing the competition and technology.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile is one of the only carriers offering premium
- 9:02Speaker 1: access to all three major US networks, giving you nationwide
- 9:07Speaker 1: coverage and service that you can count on day after day.
- 9:11Speaker 1: They also offer unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots, international roaming,
- 9:16Speaker 1: internet back up, in so much more, and switching has
- 9:19Speaker 1: never been easier. You can activate in minutes on your
- 9:23Speaker 1: phone from your home or your office and you keep
- 9:26Speaker 1: your same number. You've got now keep your same phone
- 9:28Speaker 1: or upgrade to a new one. And this is where
- 9:30Speaker 1: the magic happens. Every month, about five percent of your
- 9:34Speaker 1: bill is given back to conservative causes at no extra
- 9:37Speaker 1: cost to you that stand up for our First and
- 9:40Speaker 1: our Second Amendment rights, the rights of unborn children, and
- 9:44Speaker 1: are wounded warriors and those that have fought for a
- 9:47Speaker 1: country and wear a badge. So take a stand today
- 9:50Speaker 1: and make a difference with every call you make. Patriot
- 9:54Speaker 1: Mobile dot com slash ferguson or nine to seven to
- 9:58Speaker 1: two Patriot the promo code ferguson for a free month
- 10:02Speaker 1: of service as well. That's Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson
- 10:07Speaker 1: or nine to seven to two Patriot And make the
- 10:10Speaker 1: switch and make a difference with every call you make.
- 10:14Speaker 1: So the government shutdown is what everyone's talking about this
- 10:17Speaker 1: as there is literally chaos in the air as flights
- 10:20Speaker 1: are being canceled now at record numbers.
- 10:23Speaker 2: So where are we at this moment.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Well, to be clear, Democrats are now proud of holding
- 10:29Speaker 1: Americans hostage, including your security while flying. How do we
- 10:34Speaker 1: know this, Well, it was leaked this week that one
- 10:37Speaker 1: of those on Capitol Hill had this to say about
- 10:41Speaker 1: you flying.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Senator Fetterman, a member of this committee, has said, quite candidly,
- 10:46Speaker 3: this is a Democrat shutdown for the sake of the
- 10:49Speaker 3: TSA agents, for the sake of the air traffic controllers, for.
- 10:52Speaker 2: The sake of the flying public.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Let's not test that idiot Democrat staffer who told Politico
- 11:00Speaker 3: will keep the shutdown going until planes start falling from
- 11:03Speaker 3: the sky.
- 11:04Speaker 2: That's not funny.
- 11:06Speaker 3: And I do believe my colleagues on the Democrats side
- 11:08Speaker 3: they don't want to see that happen. But every day
- 11:11Speaker 3: that they starve the system of the resources it needs,
- 11:15Speaker 3: they increase the chances of a tragedy like that occurring.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Politico reporting that the top Democratic staffer said that they
- 11:23Speaker 1: are going to hold us hostage until planes start falling
- 11:28Speaker 1: from the sky.
- 11:30Speaker 2: That is their goal, hold us all hostage.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Fast forward after that, Democrats getting in line, making it
- 11:38Speaker 1: very clear they think this government shutdown is amazing for them.
- 11:43Speaker 1: A perfect example of that is the partisan hack Democratic
- 11:47Speaker 1: Center Richard Blumenthal. He was in front of the cameras
- 11:51Speaker 1: and if you think he's doing this for America, you're wrong.
- 11:54Speaker 1: He's doing this for the partisan politics, and he wants
- 11:58Speaker 1: it to hurt. Here's what he has to say about
- 12:00Speaker 1: the government's shutdown.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Yes, it is just a game to him.
- 12:04Speaker 4: I think that there is no reason to surrender now,
- 12:09Speaker 4: every reason to stand firm.
- 12:12Speaker 1: No reason to surrender now, and every reason to stand
- 12:15Speaker 1: firm now. Is that what's best for the American people.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Of course not, but that doesn't matter because it's all
- 12:22Speaker 1: about power, Which then brings us to Senator Chuck Schumer.
- 12:27Speaker 1: He decided to go to the floor of the Senate
- 12:29Speaker 1: on Friday talking about the government shut down with new mandates,
- 12:34Speaker 1: new demands, and the Democrats, led by Chuck Schumer said, quote,
- 12:39Speaker 1: They're offering to reopen our government if Republicans agree to
- 12:45Speaker 1: be held hostage and pay the ransom of a one
- 12:48Speaker 1: year extension of the premium tax credits under the Affordable
- 12:53Speaker 1: Care Act known as Obamacare, Schumer saying this about reopening
- 12:58Speaker 1: the government as law as long as the hostage deal
- 13:01Speaker 1: is taken by the Republicans.
- 13:04Speaker 5: So let's find a path to honor both positions. Democrats
- 13:09Speaker 5: would like to see an end to this shutdown, and
- 13:11Speaker 5: we want to respect Leader Thun's desire not to negotiate
- 13:14Speaker 5: on ACA until after the government reopens. Therefore, we'd like
- 13:19Speaker 5: to offer a simple proposal that would reopen the government
- 13:24Speaker 5: and extend the ACA premium tax credits simultaneously, and then
- 13:31Speaker 5: have the opportunity to start negotiating longer term solutions to
- 13:35Speaker 5: health care costs. Let's do all three. I've spoken with
- 13:40Speaker 5: my caucus, and Democrats are offering a very simple compromise.
- 13:46Speaker 5: Democrats are ready to clear the way to quickly pass
- 13:49Speaker 5: a government funding bill that includes healthcare affordability. Leader Thun
- 13:54Speaker 5: just needs to add a clean one year extension of
- 13:58Speaker 5: the ACA tax credits to the c Are so that
- 14:01Speaker 5: we can immediately address rising healthcare costs. That's not a negotiation,
- 14:07Speaker 5: it's an extension of current law, something we do all
- 14:11Speaker 5: the time around here, as we all know. But we
- 14:15Speaker 5: also offer this, let's create a bipartisan committee that will
- 14:19Speaker 5: continue negotiations after the government reopens on reforms ahead of
- 14:25Speaker 5: next year's enrollment period to provide long term certainty that
- 14:29Speaker 5: healthcare costs will be more affordable. This proposal reopens the
- 14:34Speaker 5: government and insures working families who are shopping right now
- 14:38Speaker 5: for their healthcare get certainty and financial relief while open
- 14:43Speaker 5: enrollment has begun, Insurers can update their rates after we
- 14:49Speaker 5: pass a simple extension of the tax credits. With this approach,
- 14:54Speaker 5: we do not negotiate healthcare in the shutdown, as Leader
- 14:58Speaker 5: Thun has maintained he wished, and the American people get
- 15:02Speaker 5: the tax credit extension they want. That is what many
- 15:05Speaker 5: of our Republican colleagues have floated over the last six
- 15:09Speaker 5: weeks as a compromise, a one year tax credit extension
- 15:13Speaker 5: and reforms to the credit. Beyond that, we will agree
- 15:17Speaker 5: with the Republican Republican request not to start negotiations until
- 15:22Speaker 5: after the government reopens. All Republicans have to do is
- 15:26Speaker 5: say yes to extend current law for one year. It
- 15:31Speaker 5: makes sense, and since what we're proposing is only a
- 15:36Speaker 5: simple extension of current law, the Senate could do this
- 15:40Speaker 5: within a few hours. This is a reasonable offer that
- 15:45Speaker 5: reopens the government, deals with health care affordability, and begins
- 15:50Speaker 5: a process of negotiating reforms to the ACA tax credits
- 15:55Speaker 5: for the future. Now the ball is in the Republicans court.
- 16:02Speaker 5: We need Republicans to just say yes.
- 16:07Speaker 1: So there he is, in his own words, making it
- 16:09Speaker 1: clear we're holding America hostage and we're proud of it.
- 16:14Speaker 1: The shutdown chaos is dominating America, certainly the skies, and
- 16:19Speaker 1: that's where the bigger warnings are coming. In flight numbers
- 16:22Speaker 1: we're now being told will continue to be reduced. And
- 16:25Speaker 1: the only way to fix is if Democrats open the
- 16:28Speaker 1: damn government. That is the exact quote from the Transportation
- 16:32Speaker 1: Secretary Sean Duffy saying this during a discussion in Washington,
- 16:36Speaker 1: d C. The recent announcement indicates that there will be
- 16:40Speaker 1: a four percent reduction in flights across the country do
- 16:43Speaker 1: the government shutdown that is expected to scale up to.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Ten percent by next week.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Offering a breakdown the situation, Duffy said, air traffic controllers
- 16:54Speaker 1: are in a tight spot, expected to miss a second
- 16:57Speaker 1: full paycheck as the first was owned a partial Here's
- 17:01Speaker 1: more of what Delphi had to say about how chaotic
- 17:04Speaker 1: it's going to get in the skies.
- 17:06Speaker 6: You guys announced yesterday and this has started to go
- 17:10Speaker 6: into effect today four percent reductions today in flights across
- 17:15Speaker 6: the country because of the ongoing government shutdown. That's going
- 17:17Speaker 6: to scale up to ten percent next week. Can you
- 17:20Speaker 6: give us a breakdown of how, first off, why this
- 17:24Speaker 6: is necessary, and then how these decisions were made and
- 17:27Speaker 6: where and how this is going to impact mere Yeah.
- 17:29Speaker 7: So, first off, air traffic controllers a critical part of
- 17:32Speaker 7: our aviation infrastructure. Wonderful men and women who serve the
- 17:37Speaker 7: American people. They do a great job. They have had
- 17:42Speaker 7: one paycheck where they got a partial payment. A second
- 17:45Speaker 7: paycheck was flat zero. They just got noticed that the
- 17:49Speaker 7: second full paycheck will be a big fat zero that
- 17:52Speaker 7: comes next week. And so there's been a lot of
- 17:54Speaker 7: pressure on the controllers and when that happens, there asking
- 18:00Speaker 7: them to come to work. That's important they come to work,
- 18:02Speaker 7: But some of them are new to the business. They
- 18:05Speaker 7: don't have a nest egg that they've been able to
- 18:07Speaker 7: plan for and prepare for. And if you don't get
- 18:10Speaker 7: two paychecks, they're confronted with like anybody else would be
- 18:13Speaker 7: confronted with, how do I not just pay the rent,
- 18:16Speaker 7: pay the car payment.
- 18:17Speaker 8: But there's a gas.
- 18:18Speaker 7: Bill, electric bill, there's a TV bill, there's food on
- 18:21Speaker 7: the table, there's gas in the car, real life expenses
- 18:26Speaker 7: that they're having to think through. And some of them
- 18:28Speaker 7: have made the decision to not come to work but
- 18:30Speaker 7: go take a second job. And what that has done
- 18:33Speaker 7: is put a lot of pressure on the air traffic
- 18:35Speaker 7: control system. And you've seen that play out over the
- 18:38Speaker 7: course of the month with more delays and more cancelations.
- 18:42Speaker 7: And by the way, it's not in the same place
- 18:44Speaker 7: every day. One day it might be in La then
- 18:47Speaker 7: it might be in New York, and then it's Houston
- 18:51Speaker 7: or Dallas or Orlando. It's never the same place. And
- 18:55Speaker 7: so we look at data. What is the data telling
- 18:59Speaker 7: us to And just as a side note, these two
- 19:04Speaker 7: things are not related. But for the issue of data,
- 19:07Speaker 7: we had a DCA air crash, and before that crash,
- 19:12Speaker 7: there was information. Had someone looked at the data that
- 19:14Speaker 7: there were near misses and someone should have said, listen,
- 19:18Speaker 7: stop the cross traffic. The data says, don't do it. Well,
- 19:22Speaker 7: no one looked at the data. Well, we learned from
- 19:24Speaker 7: that we should look at data and what's happening, and
- 19:27Speaker 7: so as we've done that through the FA Safety team,
- 19:31Speaker 7: we're seeing a loss of separation in the airspace. There's
- 19:37Speaker 7: spacing for aircraft, there has been there's been incursions in
- 19:43Speaker 7: those separations.
- 19:44Speaker 8: Those numbers have gone up.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Not only have the numbers gone up, but Secretary Duffy said,
- 19:50Speaker 1: this is being done deliberately on purpose by Democrats knowing
- 19:55Speaker 1: they are putting your lives at risk.
- 19:59Speaker 2: I also, I want to be clear about something.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Republicans had a clean bill to pay government essential workers,
- 20:08Speaker 1: the workers that are forced to come in even if
- 20:11Speaker 1: they're not getting a paycheck. That includes air traffic controllers.
- 20:15Speaker 1: And what are the Democrats do? They said, no, that
- 20:18Speaker 1: is how you know that this is being done deliberately.
- 20:21Speaker 1: I want you to listen to more of what the
- 20:23Speaker 1: Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy had to say when he was
- 20:26Speaker 1: sitting down on Friday at a bright Bart conference.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Take a listen.
- 20:30Speaker 7: There's more incursions on the ground, and then we've had
- 20:33Speaker 7: more complaints from pilots that have said, well, the controller
- 20:38Speaker 7: is less responsive to me, or controllers seem to be
- 20:41Speaker 7: more stressed. So we looked at that data and the
- 20:44Speaker 7: numbers are going in the wrong direction. This is a
- 20:45Speaker 7: really long answer, but I want.
- 20:46Speaker 6: To expect, yeah, please do.
- 20:48Speaker 7: The numbers are going in the wrong direction, and so
- 20:51Speaker 7: then what is our response to that? And the response
- 20:54Speaker 7: is to take pressure out of the system. And through
- 20:58Speaker 7: the safety team, We've talked about lowering the number of
- 21:02Speaker 7: flights and so we were going to do ten percent
- 21:05Speaker 7: right away. The safety team said that could be even
- 21:07Speaker 7: more disruptive. We should we should actually phase this in,
- 21:13Speaker 7: to which we've done that. Today is the first day,
- 21:15Speaker 7: four percent reduction, four days later another two percent, two
- 21:20Speaker 7: days after that, two percent, and then you know, two
- 21:22Speaker 7: percent on. And what I'm hoping to do is again
- 21:26Speaker 7: take the pressure and more risk out of the system.
- 21:29Speaker 7: We always try to manage the risk. Nothing is ever
- 21:31Speaker 7: fully safe. A car is not safe, walking down the
- 21:34Speaker 7: streets not full I mean, there's risk and everything we do.
- 21:36Speaker 7: I'm trying to minimize the risk through this government shutdown
- 21:41Speaker 7: and bring us to a matrix that matches what we
- 21:46Speaker 7: had before the shutdown. And I've had some complaints from Democrats.
- 21:49Speaker 7: They've said, well, we want to see the data, and
- 21:51Speaker 7: why are you looking at data? And this is political?
- 21:53Speaker 7: This has not been political. We have worked over time
- 21:55Speaker 7: to make sure that we minimize the impact on the
- 21:59Speaker 7: American people.
- 22:00Speaker 8: We're trying to help the American people.
- 22:02Speaker 7: And when I start to get attacked by Democrats, that
- 22:05Speaker 7: also gets frustrating because there's a very easy solution to
- 22:08Speaker 7: the problem that they put directly on my lap, which
- 22:11Speaker 7: is open the day i'm government, vote to open the government.
- 22:14Speaker 7: So those who snipe at me for having to take
- 22:18Speaker 7: really unique action, they put that on my on my plate,
- 22:21Speaker 7: so open it up. And by the way, I didn't
- 22:24Speaker 7: remember the last some of the last shutdowns I was.
- 22:26Speaker 8: I was part of those.
- 22:27Speaker 7: We stayed here for a month. I gained ten pounds,
- 22:30Speaker 7: I think cause I ate pizza and the junkiest food.
- 22:34Speaker 7: But you sit here every weekend, every day while the
- 22:37Speaker 7: government is shut down and your your family's upset, your
- 22:40Speaker 7: kids are annoyed. That people would go home during a
- 22:43Speaker 7: shutdown when the American people are suffering, is just flat
- 22:47Speaker 7: out wrong.
- 22:48Speaker 8: Everyone should be here, everyone should be working.
- 22:50Speaker 7: No one should go home because, by the way I
- 22:52Speaker 7: saw it today, I was at DCA.
- 22:54Speaker 8: I'm just I'm not I'm let you ask me questions.
- 22:58Speaker 7: There's people going to funerals, There's people were trying to
- 23:00Speaker 7: get home. They can't get home while senator's going home.
- 23:03Speaker 7: Keep them here, and especially the senators who voted know
- 23:05Speaker 7: to open the government off.
- 23:06Speaker 6: Maybe we could put the senators who keep voting to
- 23:08Speaker 6: shut the government down on the no fly list.
- 23:10Speaker 8: That would be a great well played.
- 23:13Speaker 1: You listen to the games they're being played, and he's
- 23:16Speaker 1: absolutely right. In a government shutdown. When he was in Washington,
- 23:20Speaker 1: d C. Serving you stayed in town. The families were
- 23:24Speaker 1: frustrated because they weren't coming home. The constituents weren't seeing
- 23:28Speaker 1: their congressmen in their district or the senators in their state.
- 23:31Speaker 1: But what are we watching this time? All of these
- 23:34Speaker 1: people are going home. I would argue that there's no
- 23:37Speaker 1: way this government shutdown would be this long if they
- 23:40Speaker 1: forced the congressman and the senators to stay in town.
- 23:45Speaker 1: So if this is what is happening and what we're
- 23:49Speaker 1: witnessing right now, it's probably going to continue. Democrats feel
- 23:54Speaker 1: like they're holding America hostage, and they feel like that
- 23:57Speaker 1: is a good thing.
- 23:58Speaker 2: They also believe that this.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Is actually working to their advantage, especially after the big
- 24:06Speaker 1: wins they said they got on Tuesday in hardcore liberal states.
- 24:10Speaker 1: So here we are in a full government shut down,
- 24:13Speaker 1: the longest one in history. And what are Democrats saying?
- 24:17Speaker 1: They're just simply saying, We're going to keep doing it.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Why in essence, why not? We love that this is
- 24:25Speaker 1: happening right now, We love that this is where we are,
- 24:29Speaker 1: and we love that you are being held hostage now.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Tommy Tuberbilt Center from Alabama. He said this even about
- 24:38Speaker 1: the issue of the filibuster earlier on Fox Well.
- 24:42Speaker 9: In the last week or so, Martha, the Democrats have
- 24:46Speaker 9: snuck around behind the scenes and worked with our leadership
- 24:49Speaker 9: team knowing that they want to get out of this themselves.
- 24:52Speaker 9: Not all of them, but a few of them, and
- 24:53Speaker 9: hopefully it would be enough to open up. But I
- 24:56Speaker 9: think they really feel emboldened that they wont a couple
- 24:59Speaker 9: of blue state elections this past Tuesday. And I don't
- 25:03Speaker 9: know whether the deal is still on the table. You know,
- 25:05Speaker 9: it's about three appropriation bills that we'd put in the
- 25:08Speaker 9: CR put a date in there, get it done, voted in,
- 25:11Speaker 9: and possibly kick the can down the road to January.
- 25:14Speaker 9: Here's a problem with Marsha. These people feel empowered on
- 25:17Speaker 9: the Democratic side. They can't control President Trump, but they
- 25:20Speaker 9: think they can control the United States Senate. And that's
- 25:23Speaker 9: the reason. As President Trump had us in the White
- 25:25Speaker 9: House there stay for breakfast. He said, if you don't
- 25:27Speaker 9: bust a filibuster, we won't get anything else done. There's
- 25:30Speaker 9: gonna be more closures. So we got to make a
- 25:32Speaker 9: decision on our side. I'm all for going to fifty one. Now.
- 25:35Speaker 9: I was totally against it until I saw really how
- 25:38Speaker 9: this place works. And I've been up here five years,
- 25:40Speaker 9: and there's not gonna be anything done if we don't
- 25:42Speaker 9: do something about this filibuster. Pass it up and let's
- 25:46Speaker 9: go and just kick the Democrats to the side and
- 25:48Speaker 9: get something done for the American people they are suffering.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Now you hear that from Tommy Tubverbilt. There is always
- 25:55Speaker 1: a cause and effect. When Democrats get back and control
- 26:00Speaker 1: will at some point in my lifetime, maybe multiple times
- 26:03Speaker 1: in my lifetime, they will then kick the Republicans the
- 26:06Speaker 1: corner and go full blown communists, like we're witnessing in
- 26:10Speaker 1: New York City. Even Democrats are getting in on this.
- 26:14Speaker 1: John Fetterman speaking to reporters about the same issue, and
- 26:17Speaker 1: here's what he said.
- 26:18Speaker 9: Some of your Republican colleagues have proposed nuking the filibuster
- 26:21Speaker 9: to force the government to reopen.
- 26:23Speaker 4: What do you think, Yeah, of course, of course, carve
- 26:26Speaker 4: it out for that. Absolutely, we ran on that. We
- 26:29Speaker 4: ran on killing the philibuster, and now we love it.
- 26:31Speaker 4: You know, it's like, carve it out so we can
- 26:34Speaker 4: move on. And I support it because it makes it
- 26:38Speaker 4: more difficult to shut the government down in the future.
- 26:41Speaker 4: And that's where it's entirely appropriate. And I don't want
- 26:44Speaker 4: to hear any Democrats clutching their pearls about the filibuster.
- 26:47Speaker 4: We all ran on it. I ran on that in
- 26:49Speaker 4: mid so like that's.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Yeah, so there is again, Fetterman. We ran on killing
- 26:55Speaker 1: the philibuster and now we love it. Carve it out
- 26:57Speaker 1: so we can move on. I support it because it
- 26:59Speaker 1: makes it more difficult to shut the government down in
- 27:02Speaker 1: the future, and that's where it's entirely appropriate. I don't
- 27:05Speaker 1: want to hear any Democrats clutching their pearls about the filibuster.
- 27:10Speaker 1: John Fetterman also calling out his own party, saying it's
- 27:14Speaker 1: very clear that the Democrats are holding the American people hostage.
- 27:19Speaker 4: It's like, that's why shutting the government is really what
- 27:23Speaker 4: the Democratic Party wants to do, and I follow country
- 27:27Speaker 4: then party, and it's the wrong thing for the country
- 27:29Speaker 4: in a period of chaos. I refuse to vote to
- 27:32Speaker 4: shut our government down. I absolutely would love to have
- 27:40Speaker 4: I would love to have a conversation about extending the
- 27:44Speaker 4: tax credits for healthcare. Absolutely, but I would remind everybody too,
- 27:48Speaker 4: this was designed by the Democratic Party to expire at
- 27:52Speaker 4: the end of the year. This is not something taken
- 27:54Speaker 4: from by the Republicans. That's they were designed to expire. Now,
- 27:59Speaker 4: let's have a conversation to extend it and not shut
- 28:02Speaker 4: our government down, and let's continue the help.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Has already agreed to that.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Well, I mean that you know that. Well for me,
- 28:08Speaker 4: I do believe. I do believe Leader Thun is an
- 28:12Speaker 4: honorable man, and I do believe. Well, you're not gonna lie.
- 28:15Speaker 4: I mean, you can't guarantee any outcome. But what I'm
- 28:18Speaker 4: what I'm saying it that's talking about what's wrong for
- 28:22Speaker 4: the country. I can't vote for a thing. I can't
- 28:25Speaker 4: vote to shutting our government down.
- 28:28Speaker 1: You wonder where the other statesmen are. John Fetterin been
- 28:31Speaker 1: calling out his own party. Democrats choose party over country.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I follow country then party, and it's the wrong thing
- 28:39Speaker 1: for the country in a period of chaos, saying I
- 28:42Speaker 1: refuse to vote to shut our government down. You wonder
- 28:46Speaker 1: when this will actually stop the insanity. It's pretty clear
- 28:50Speaker 1: now Democrats believe they have enough leverage to keep moving
- 28:56Speaker 1: forward with a shutdown. They want it to hurt, and
- 29:00Speaker 1: they're holding the American people hostage, and they're proud of it,
- 29:04Speaker 1: including putting your safety at risks in the skies. Don't
