- 1:46Speaker 1: turn the water the water go. Come come on your back,
- 2:02Speaker 1: Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening
- 2:06Speaker 1: to the voice, Come on dig me now, one and
- 2:09Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey, I got a radio show. You know.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I want to thank everybody who stops me from time
- 2:17Speaker 1: to time, who encourages me concerning the first twelve minutes
- 2:22Speaker 1: of the show. Thank you very much. It means a
- 2:25Speaker 1: lot to me. It's a part of an obligation. I've
- 2:29Speaker 1: asked God to all at the end of my life,
- 2:34Speaker 1: to have been relevant, to be a person that was
- 2:40Speaker 1: all inspiring to other people, are motivational to other people.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I've asked God to help me share what he has
- 2:48Speaker 1: shown me and help me to remind people of His
- 2:53Speaker 1: goodness and of the fact that you have a lot
- 2:56Speaker 1: of things to be grateful for, and to just simply
- 2:59Speaker 1: share there some of the methods and some of the
- 3:03Speaker 1: antidotes and analogies that I've learned over the years concerning
- 3:08Speaker 1: my journey. Uh, you know, which has gotten me to
- 3:11Speaker 1: this point. Now, I'm not through yet by a long shot.
- 3:14Speaker 1: God has a lot of work to do with me,
- 3:16Speaker 1: and I'm an imperfect person. But one of my things
- 3:19Speaker 1: in the morning is to also point out to all
- 3:21Speaker 1: of you that you can be an imperfect person and
- 3:24Speaker 1: still gain God's favor and his love. Now, should you
- 3:29Speaker 1: strive for perfection? I've heard people say that I don't
- 3:32Speaker 1: know how to do that. I just know that I
- 3:34Speaker 1: can say that if you do the best that you can,
- 3:37Speaker 1: the very very best that you can, and even in that,
- 3:40Speaker 1: you're gonna come up short. So I don't really know how.
- 3:43Speaker 1: That's not My job is to tell you to strive
- 3:46Speaker 1: for perfection. Doing the best that you can is all
- 3:49Speaker 1: you can do. I think it's all I can do,
- 3:51Speaker 1: is the very best that I can do. The perfection thing.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I know I'm not gonna get there, but I can
- 3:56Speaker 1: I can do the very best that I can, because
- 3:58Speaker 1: we're human beings with sub to too many, too many
- 4:01Speaker 1: things uh create situation for his problems, lust, uh desires, temptations.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It's just it's just it's just far too uh prevalent
- 4:14Speaker 1: in there. So you know, I want to thank all
- 4:17Speaker 1: of you who encourage me, who send me emails or
- 4:21Speaker 1: who see me out on the street, and and and
- 4:24Speaker 1: and say important things to me like that, because it
- 4:26Speaker 1: does matter to me, it does have an impact on me,
- 4:31Speaker 1: and I thank you very much because without those encouraging
- 4:34Speaker 1: words from time to time, sometimes you don't know which
- 4:37Speaker 1: way you're going, if you're being effective or not. And
- 4:39Speaker 1: it is and I want to keep encouraging people to
- 4:42Speaker 1: do the right thing. I want to encourage people to
- 4:44Speaker 1: continue to move in the right direction. And a lot
- 4:48Speaker 1: of times when you're moving in the right direction and
- 4:50Speaker 1: you're doing the right thing, everybody's not gonna understand it.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Everybody everybody not gonna see it your way. But you
- 4:57Speaker 1: have to do the right thing as God leads you
- 5:00Speaker 1: to do it. And sometimes it's troubling when people don't
- 5:04Speaker 1: get it and it angers you, but you gotta keep
- 5:06Speaker 1: doing what you think is right, you know, I was
- 5:09Speaker 1: watching the results of the protest this weekend of how
- 5:12Speaker 1: many peaceful protesters there was. Now, a couple of people
- 5:15Speaker 1: got out of hand here and there, but that didn't
- 5:17Speaker 1: mean to protest should not have existed. You know, U
- 5:20Speaker 1: can't stop a few people, you know, from doing it
- 5:24Speaker 1: the wrong way. But for the most part, people had
- 5:26Speaker 1: the right intention in their heart and in their in
- 5:29Speaker 1: their minds. You know. It's like when you vote, everybody
- 5:32Speaker 1: is not going to vote the way you vote. Everybody
- 5:35Speaker 1: is not gonna feel how you feel about your vote,
- 5:37Speaker 1: but you gotta do what you do was right for
- 5:40Speaker 1: for your conscious and for your thinking, and for the
- 5:43Speaker 1: people that you know and love, and for the side
- 5:46Speaker 1: that you're cheering for. It's just amazing, though, how when
- 5:51Speaker 1: you're trying to do the right thing, how to opposition
- 5:54Speaker 1: can never for a second even see your side of it.
- 5:57Speaker 1: That's that's amazing to me. And uh, I guess they
- 6:00Speaker 1: both both sides say the same thing about one another.
- 6:03Speaker 1: But I think that as long as you're doing what
- 6:06Speaker 1: you think is the right thing, uh, then then that's
- 6:09Speaker 1: what you should do. And don't be slowed by it, folks,
- 6:12Speaker 1: because it's going to happen I've often said it before.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Any time you make a decision to do right or
- 6:18Speaker 1: do better, you're going to get our position. It's just
- 6:22Speaker 1: no way around it, man. And the opposition comes so
- 6:25Speaker 1: fierce and so strong, and sometimes you wonder why do
- 6:28Speaker 1: they get the energy of why can't they see it?
- 6:30Speaker 1: But just just keep on, just keep on. I mean,
- 6:33Speaker 1: you know, I've I've seen it work over the years.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I don't care how strong the opposition is. Right, right,
- 6:39Speaker 1: right works out a lot of times. Even when right
- 6:42Speaker 1: don't work out, you gotta keep pushing. Oh that's the
- 6:47Speaker 1: hard part, ain't it. Even when right don't work out,
- 6:51Speaker 1: when you think it should go this way and you
- 6:54Speaker 1: can't see how I could go no other way when
- 6:57Speaker 1: it goes the other way, you gotta keep doing the
- 6:59Speaker 1: right thing. See, you can never do the wrong thing
- 7:04Speaker 1: because the what you felt didn't happen, you know, and
- 7:08Speaker 1: and and and I try to employ people to remember that, man,
- 7:11Speaker 1: that we've got to always stay on the right side
- 7:15Speaker 1: of it, you know, I mean, you know, I know
- 7:17Speaker 1: it's hard. You know, take the high roads. You hear
- 7:19Speaker 1: that all the time, you know, well, Steve, why we
- 7:22Speaker 1: always got to take the high road? Well, because we
- 7:24Speaker 1: have to. I don't know, I don't know. I don't,
- 7:29Speaker 1: I don't. I don't want to all the time myself.
- 7:32Speaker 1: But taking a low road ain't gonna gain you nothing
- 7:35Speaker 1: except more opposition, a lack of understanding. So it's a
- 7:39Speaker 1: high rallery, I mean, you know, it's a high road.
- 7:41Speaker 1: It is, you know, in all things. I know, I'm
- 7:44Speaker 1: talking sort of scattered because I'm saying some things without
- 7:48Speaker 1: saying some things direct. I try to get people to understand,
- 7:51Speaker 1: but you know, I get so much opposition when I'm talking. Sometimes,
- 7:54Speaker 1: you know, you get tired of it. You get tired
- 7:56Speaker 1: of social media. Sometimes you get tired of what people
- 8:00Speaker 1: say that don't even understand what you're trying to say
- 8:03Speaker 1: or what you're trying to do. And it's and it's, uh,
- 8:06Speaker 1: sometimes it can be disheartening. But even in that, I
- 8:10Speaker 1: gotta keep pushing. I gotta keep saying what I think
- 8:13Speaker 1: is the right thing. I gotta keep saying what I
- 8:16Speaker 1: think is is best for the masses. Now, I can't stop,
- 8:20Speaker 1: you know, loving people or wanting the best for the underprivileged.
- 8:25Speaker 1: You know, even though I'm not underprivileged anymore, you understand,
- 8:30Speaker 1: But my heart is with that underprivileged, because I've been
- 8:35Speaker 1: underprivileged far longer than I have been on this side
- 8:38Speaker 1: of it, and so my heart goes out to the underprivileged.
- 8:42Speaker 1: And that's why I spent a lot of the first
- 8:44Speaker 1: twelve minutes to help. The underprivileged are the people who
- 8:47Speaker 1: are struggling with anything, finances, career, job, family, love this country,
- 8:54Speaker 1: the rules, the laws. I try to be encouraging to
- 8:57Speaker 1: say that if you keep your head down and you
- 8:59Speaker 1: keep grinding, and you work hard, and you and you
- 9:02Speaker 1: use on your unwavering faith that God can see you throughing,
- 9:05Speaker 1: some wonderful things can happen in your life. That is
- 9:09Speaker 1: an absolute must. So you know I I will keep
- 9:14Speaker 1: on doing the things that I'm doing, and and I
- 9:17Speaker 1: want you to continue to do the things that you're
- 9:19Speaker 1: doing too, because you're getting on the right track. I
- 9:21Speaker 1: love it when me and stopped me and say, hey,
- 9:23Speaker 1: Steve Man, I appreciate you in the mornings. Man. You
- 9:25Speaker 1: don't know, man, but you're helping me become a better person. Well,
- 9:29Speaker 1: I want to say this, I'm trying to become a
- 9:32Speaker 1: better person too, and and and and eight percent of
- 9:36Speaker 1: the stuff I say in the morners is directly affecting me. Also, well,
- 9:40Speaker 1: A really tell you the truth. But I'm usually talking
- 9:44Speaker 1: about something I'm feeling over going through that particular day,
- 9:48Speaker 1: so for to me and out there to say, and
- 9:50Speaker 1: it's making them a better person. I want you to
- 9:51Speaker 1: understand something. It's making me a better person too. You know,
- 9:55Speaker 1: it's making me stronger. You know, it's making me burn
- 9:59Speaker 1: with the as I to do right, to do more right,
- 10:02Speaker 1: to get it, to get it better and better and better,
- 10:05Speaker 1: you know, and as I you know, look across the
- 10:08Speaker 1: landscape of what's going on in this country. You know,
- 10:11Speaker 1: I just gotta do what I can do. You know, now,
- 10:13Speaker 1: I know some people are tugging at me, telling me
- 10:15Speaker 1: what you need to be doing more. But you know,
- 10:18Speaker 1: once again, as usually somebody who ain't doing nothing they self.
- 10:21Speaker 1: So you know, say what you want to say. But
- 10:23Speaker 1: I just gotta keep going. And I want you to
- 10:26Speaker 1: learn how to feel your day up with positivity. You know,
- 10:29Speaker 1: wake up in the morning, start your day positive. Wake
- 10:32Speaker 1: up in the morning and and get it right, you know,
- 10:34Speaker 1: wake up in the morning and and and and and
- 10:37Speaker 1: and get your projections together, you know, wake up in
- 10:39Speaker 1: the morning and get some you know, get get your
- 10:43Speaker 1: attitude right in the morning and and get on a
- 10:46Speaker 1: positive track. And when you have an idea that comes
- 10:49Speaker 1: your way, think of how it can work. Don't think
- 10:52Speaker 1: of how it won't work. See, once you start thinking
- 10:55Speaker 1: of how it won't work, you allot of negatives to
- 10:57Speaker 1: come in. But God don't work. God don't need you
- 11:00Speaker 1: telling him how something won't work. God needs you to
- 11:04Speaker 1: believe that it will work. God needs you to believe
- 11:07Speaker 1: that something can happen. See that's what God needs. God
- 11:11Speaker 1: don't need you. See that's why people blow it. Man.
- 11:13Speaker 1: So many ideas go go to waste, man, because people
- 11:17Speaker 1: just don't have the right attitude. When you have an
- 11:21Speaker 1: atude an idea, think of how it can work. I
- 11:27Speaker 1: know a dude man that the first thing he do
- 11:29Speaker 1: is tell at tell an idea down, just tad down. Man.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Then we gotta work doubly hard to build it back up.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? What all you had to do
- 11:40Speaker 1: is try to find the way that will work. Don't
- 11:42Speaker 1: spend your wheels worrying about how it won't work. Look
- 11:44Speaker 1: at how you can make it work. Look, the problems
- 11:48Speaker 1: is gonna come no matter what you do. Oh well,
- 11:51Speaker 1: this is gonna happen, and that can work. But if
- 11:53Speaker 1: you're focusing on how to make it work, you can
- 11:56Speaker 1: overcome the things when they come up that's gonna make
- 11:59Speaker 1: you think it won't work. You feel what I'm saying,
- 12:01Speaker 1: what's explained. I wish I got on that early. Anyway,
- 12:04Speaker 1: That's what we're doing today. Gonna be a good one man,
- 12:07Speaker 1: y'all hanging out. Okay, you're listening Steve. Eighteen minutes after that,
- 12:17Speaker 1: I welcome to the Ride, y'all. Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 12:19Speaker 1: On this Tuesday morning, we're broadcasting live again in the Caymans.
- 12:24Speaker 1: The whole crew will be here to marvel and Thursday,
- 12:28Speaker 1: Junia and I'll here along with Mississippi Monica. She's taking pictures,
- 12:33Speaker 1: you know, you know she ain't never been nowhere, so
- 12:35Speaker 1: we got to deal with that right there. She takes
- 12:37Speaker 1: pictures of flowers. She'll be taking pictures off standing next
- 12:43Speaker 1: to a palm tree, but she's shot so you can't
- 12:46Speaker 1: see the leaves on the tree. All you see his bark.
- 12:50Speaker 1: But then she'll be trying to take yourself and she'll
- 12:52Speaker 1: be leaning up against it. But here, you know, when
- 12:55Speaker 1: she ain't gonna be a Monica from the country. We're done.
- 12:57Speaker 1: We're in the aisle, and she didn't talking about y'all
- 12:59Speaker 1: got calf fish down here? Do y'all have catfish? All
- 13:06Speaker 1: this water out here? So we've been we're down this
- 13:16Speaker 1: second day. Weather's nice. Steves to get there. Yeah, jacket, umbrella,
- 13:22Speaker 1: I don't do nothing that. I got sandals. I'm ready
- 13:25Speaker 1: to put some sandals on the mall when y'all get
- 13:27Speaker 1: here and there. I've been playing golf every day. Hear
- 13:30Speaker 1: my two parties? Okay, all right, I've been playing golf
- 13:33Speaker 1: every day. Many with the super Bowl party in your room? Right? Oh,
- 13:37Speaker 1: the super Bowl party? Yeah, you have that in your room,
- 13:40Speaker 1: so you're doing all kinds of Hey, what day were leaving?
- 13:43Speaker 1: I don't know when you leave. I don't think I'm
- 13:46Speaker 1: going back my sickle cell operating it at prime efficiency
- 13:50Speaker 1: right feeling. I'm at prime efficiency right now. Go over there, sexy. Yeah,
- 14:00Speaker 1: I don't think I'm just gonna stay. Okay, you're gonna
- 14:03Speaker 1: be an ex pat. H The nephew is coming right, yea,
- 14:08Speaker 1: just check what you're saying. I'm just checking because he
- 14:12Speaker 1: ain't at work. Again checking I'll have an excuse for him. Today.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I can't do it to make up no more. I'm
- 14:21Speaker 1: out of I'm out. Let's see, he's little. He can't
- 14:24Speaker 1: say it's ws. We've heard him all before. Yeah, I'm trying. Yeah,
- 14:30Speaker 1: there's we've run out. Yeah, I got no. He was
- 14:35Speaker 1: gonna come to work today, but he couldn't find the steps.
- 14:38Speaker 1: What do you mean he couldn't find out? You know,
- 14:42Speaker 1: he got a set of steps made where he can
- 14:44Speaker 1: get up in the truck, the steps to get up in. Yeah,
- 14:50Speaker 1: so he couldn't get him. Oh, because he's little. They
- 14:54Speaker 1: climbed up on the floorboard one time and his wife
- 14:56Speaker 1: didn't know it was on there, and she shut the
- 14:58Speaker 1: dough and drove off. He almost frozen there hanging on
- 15:04Speaker 1: that frowboarders to the flowboard in the little raccoon hands.
- 15:17Speaker 1: He almost had probably ground and ruin the outfit too.
- 15:19Speaker 1: So he's not gonna get introl because if we weren't
- 15:22Speaker 1: at work, we would never hear the end of it. Right,
- 15:26Speaker 1: and we're here all the time. I ain't got to
- 15:28Speaker 1: they're gonna deal with it. So I'm just saying he
- 15:32Speaker 1: has been reported, but it's it's your nephew. They hold
- 15:36Speaker 1: you accountable and responsible for that. Not really, I've never
- 15:40Speaker 1: been responsible for Tommy. Well you brought him in. Yeah,
- 15:43Speaker 1: you brought him in. But that's it. That was in
- 15:45Speaker 1: two thousand ships years ago. You've had ample time now,
- 15:52Speaker 1: hear radio employee. Now, yeah, I'm through. You can't save
- 15:58Speaker 1: him no more. Shaf come over here. With all this
- 16:05Speaker 1: mess you've been doing, it ain't gonna happen. It's gonna
- 16:08Speaker 1: be a great day to day man looking forward to
- 16:11Speaker 1: Uh I live. Here's what I'm let me give everybody
- 16:14Speaker 1: a suggestion to that two thousand and seventeen can be
- 16:17Speaker 1: the absolute best year of your life. Yeah, but you
- 16:20Speaker 1: have to do one thing. You have to claim it.
- 16:24Speaker 1: You have to claim prosperity, you have to claim expectations.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Now why do you say that because it show Well,
- 16:36Speaker 1: here's what you do. Your mind is an emission tower
- 16:41Speaker 1: that emits a signal. The signal that you're seeing out
- 16:44Speaker 1: from your mind is the thing that it picks up
- 16:47Speaker 1: and relays back. It's like your remote control at home.
- 16:50Speaker 1: If you go in the house and you pick up
- 16:51Speaker 1: your remote control and you pressed the red button in
- 16:54Speaker 1: the corner, that's the power button you pointed at the TV.
- 16:57Speaker 1: What do you expect to happen to turn on. Okay,
- 17:02Speaker 1: if HBO, let's just use this as example. If HBO
- 17:06Speaker 1: is channel three and you punching in three five oh,
- 17:11Speaker 1: and you express select, what do you expect to happen
- 17:18Speaker 1: the channel? One more thing, if you want to know
- 17:22Speaker 1: what's on the TV set, if you press the guide button,
- 17:27Speaker 1: that says, God, what do you expect to see on
- 17:30Speaker 1: that TV? And so every time you're punching in something
- 17:38Speaker 1: on that remote and pointed at the TV and you
- 17:40Speaker 1: hit select, you expect that TV to perform per the
- 17:46Speaker 1: request of the remote. So is that correct? Yes? So
- 17:51Speaker 1: now I want you to understand something. If I could
- 17:54Speaker 1: get people to understand this very simple concept of success,
- 17:57Speaker 1: it changes your entire life. You're a mind was created
- 18:01Speaker 1: by God. Your mind is a remote control. It's the
- 18:07Speaker 1: greatest remote control he's ever come up with. This remote
- 18:10Speaker 1: control that you have was invented before the remote control
- 18:13Speaker 1: of TV. The signal that you emit from your mind
- 18:19Speaker 1: sends out an emission signal to everything that you tune
- 18:24Speaker 1: it into. And when you press select, guess what that's
- 18:27Speaker 1: what comes back to you. Why do you think they
- 18:30Speaker 1: got the concept from a TV remote control? From It
- 18:33Speaker 1: is from your mind, the capacity that God made you
- 18:36Speaker 1: in his image. God thought of this world, this earth,
- 18:39Speaker 1: this water, these islands, these mountains, these oceans, these waterfalls,
- 18:43Speaker 1: these trees, these birds, these animals, male species. He thought
- 18:47Speaker 1: of all of that, and guess what it came into existence.
- 18:51Speaker 1: He made you the same way. So now He gave
- 18:54Speaker 1: you the power, though, to make choices. So if you
- 18:58Speaker 1: decide to send out a positively mission from your brain,
- 19:02Speaker 1: guess what has to come back to you Positivity the
- 19:06Speaker 1: same thing with a negative. If you send out negativity,
- 19:09Speaker 1: people as all when you ask them what's wrong, and
- 19:12Speaker 1: they always got something wrong? Don't they always be something
- 19:14Speaker 1: wrong with them to the point where you hate to
- 19:16Speaker 1: even ask them Now it's because they keep committing that
- 19:21Speaker 1: signal that something's wrong. All my life crazy, all I
- 19:24Speaker 1: keep meeting is dogs. Then all the dogs come to you.
- 19:28Speaker 1: If you admitted the signal, it changes man. The moment
- 19:33Speaker 1: you change your attitude, you immediately change your attitude. If
- 19:38Speaker 1: you could grab that concept, folks, you can began to
- 19:42Speaker 1: change your life. In two thousand seventeen can be the
- 19:44Speaker 1: best year of your life. I live my life with
- 19:46Speaker 1: the expectations that God would do great things for me.
- 19:49Speaker 1: And guess what he does. Even when it looked like
- 19:52Speaker 1: it's going wrong for me. Miss universe last year went
- 19:57Speaker 1: wrong for me. Do you know what happened because of
- 19:59Speaker 1: Miss Universe? Though it turned around, the good came out

- 22:50Speaker 1: They said you're a deflator and you're a cheater, and

- 26:03Speaker 1: bil some help with the auction that we actually have
- 26:05Speaker 1: going on tomorrow. Yes, do I need to donate anything
- 26:10Speaker 1: or but no, no, we're not really trying to get
- 26:14Speaker 1: some donation from you this time. We're trying to see
- 26:16Speaker 1: if you have some time tomorrow to come out and
- 26:19Speaker 1: actually help out with the actual auction. Okay, what time tomorrow?
- 26:23Speaker 1: Probably like about nine o'clock in the morning. That okay.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Now we're asking that you wear something that you'll be
- 26:30Speaker 1: comfortable in all day tomorrow possible, okay, okay, pretty much
- 26:34Speaker 1: an all day event that we're trying to get you

- 26:50Speaker 1: you know, we we we got a lot of people
- 26:52Speaker 1: doing different things at the you know, at the auction,
- 26:55Speaker 1: you know, so we just want you to come out
- 26:56Speaker 1: and be of some help with everything that's going on. Okay,
- 26:59Speaker 1: well I want to be prepared. So what exactly do
- 27:02Speaker 1: I need to do? Work the concessions stand something like that.
- 27:04Speaker 1: You know, really what we had is actually you being
- 27:07Speaker 1: a part of the auction of being a part of
- 27:10Speaker 1: the auction such as well, what we're doing tomorrow is
- 27:14Speaker 1: we have already we already have fifty people who are
- 27:17Speaker 1: signed up and you would be you know, one of
- 27:20Speaker 1: those people that are that are that are signed up
- 27:21Speaker 1: to do the actual What is is we're having slaves
- 27:25Speaker 1: for a day and what we're gonna be doing is
- 27:27Speaker 1: auctioning you off and somebody's gonna buy you tomorrow and
- 27:31Speaker 1: you will be there for the day. Slaves. Yeah, you
- 27:34Speaker 1: will be the slave for the day. That's what That's
- 27:37Speaker 1: what we've decided to do with the black history. We decided.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I mean I don't I want to participate, but being
- 27:44Speaker 1: a slave no, okay, But see what I want you
- 27:48Speaker 1: to understand that this is a word that calls though
- 27:50Speaker 1: you know what we want were they called? But I'm
- 27:53Speaker 1: not gonna be no play. Well well you, I mean
- 27:55Speaker 1: you don't have to call it a slave, I mean
- 27:57Speaker 1: a servant you know, a butler, you know, I mean,
- 28:00Speaker 1: what do you want to call it? I'm no, I
- 28:03Speaker 1: ain't gonna be a slave, okay, okay man Ms Ms Glenan,
- 28:07Speaker 1: I don't trying to explain to you. This is a
- 28:08Speaker 1: word to call for the black history, and we're trying
- 28:11Speaker 1: to get you to be there. Somebody may buy you
- 28:13Speaker 1: for five dollars tomorrow. No, I'm not gonna do it. Okay,
- 28:18Speaker 1: are you are you? Are you turning us down for
- 28:20Speaker 1: a word that calls Mrs Glenna, Yes, I am turning
- 28:23Speaker 1: your down. Don't call me with that kind of no more.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I mean, I don't understand what what the problem is.
- 28:29Speaker 1: You know, sometimes we got to repeat history, so we
- 28:31Speaker 1: don't go back to the history. Sometimes we got to
- 28:34Speaker 1: do it again so we don't go back to what
- 28:35Speaker 1: you understand. But it isn't seem like you. You're acting
- 28:38Speaker 1: like a house ney grow or something like you two
- 28:41Speaker 1: up to your house ney grow. Who's the chairman of this?
- 28:46Speaker 1: Excuse me the chairman. Last time I spoke with Mr
- 28:50Speaker 1: Wilson and we didn't have no like this, okay, and
- 28:53Speaker 1: I understand that. But what I'm trying to explain to
- 28:55Speaker 1: you is this is something that I don't want you
- 28:56Speaker 1: to explain the thing to me. Do not call me
- 28:59Speaker 1: with this kind of again. Are you gonna show up
- 29:01Speaker 1: tomorrow so we can sell you? Do you understand me?
- 29:04Speaker 1: Are you gonna show up tomorrow so we can sell you?
- 29:07Speaker 1: We already have you know we're gonna sell me. We
- 29:09Speaker 1: are all listed to be sold tomorrow. We've got you
- 29:13Speaker 1: listed to be sold tomorrow, ma'am. Can we please make
- 29:16Speaker 1: sho don't be sold and you not call here again? Hey, listen,
- 29:20Speaker 1: if you don't show up tomorrow, then we will come
- 29:22Speaker 1: to your house and sell you there. Come to you.
- 29:26Speaker 1: If I got to come out, you will come to
- 29:28Speaker 1: my house over here. If you want to listen, I
- 29:32Speaker 1: will come there to sell you. If you're not gonna
- 29:34Speaker 1: come out to the auction, come on to my house.
- 29:36Speaker 1: You're bad, Come on to my mouse. Okay, I'll tell you,
- 29:39Speaker 1: and you know what I need you to do that
- 29:40Speaker 1: You need to start saying yes sir and no sir
- 29:42Speaker 1: to me right now. Okay, I need to get you
- 29:44Speaker 1: in the in the frame of mind being a slave
- 29:47Speaker 1: of the day. Okay, I didn't hear what you said,
- 29:50Speaker 1: kiss my black I'm coming to your house. Tomorrow, and
- 29:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna sell you in front of your house if
- 29:56Speaker 1: you don't come down to the auction tomorrow morning. Now
- 29:59Speaker 1: I'm a clock. You better not bring you my house.
- 30:02Speaker 1: You better not. Do you understand me? Got a march
- 30:06Speaker 1: for civil rights. I don't have time for no like that.
- 30:09Speaker 1: And we got a black man for president. You I
- 30:13Speaker 1: understand we got a black man for president. But right
- 30:16Speaker 1: now we're trying to raise some money for black history
- 30:18Speaker 1: and we need to sell you tomorrow morning. You're not
- 30:21Speaker 1: gonna sell me. You're not gonna sell me you and
- 30:24Speaker 1: don't call my house no more? Do you understand? Do
- 30:26Speaker 1: not call? I understand exactly what you're saying. Can I
- 30:29Speaker 1: sell you something else? Who else is gonna be so tomorrow?
- 30:32Speaker 1: Tell all now? Don't tell me. I got one more
- 30:35Speaker 1: thing I do need to tell you. What is it?
- 30:38Speaker 1: Less is nephew Timmy from the Steve Harby Morning Show.
- 30:41Speaker 1: You just got pranked by your sisters. My sister, my sister.
- 30:53Speaker 1: I can't believe that. I'm gonna g hunh. I can't
- 30:58Speaker 1: believe you to did ms Glenda? You all right? All right?
- 31:04Speaker 1: This is so crazy. I can't believe it. For this
- 31:13Speaker 1: it don't sound like you're gonna get stole. No way,
- 31:17Speaker 1: you wasn't getting on miss office Block. Huh No, No
- 31:21Speaker 1: ways have been there. I've been at the city, in
- 31:26Speaker 1: the marches, I've done something everything. Yes, ma'am. Well, I
- 31:29Speaker 1: tell you what, Mrs Glenna. If it wasn't for people
- 31:31Speaker 1: like you, we probably wouldn't be where we are today.
- 31:33Speaker 1: That's right. We we showed. Thank you, We showed thinking.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I just wanted to play a joke on Did I
- 31:38Speaker 1: get you? Yes? You did you? Sure? Indeed I got
- 31:43Speaker 1: one more. I got one more thing to ask you.
- 31:45Speaker 1: What is what is the baddest and I mean the
- 31:47Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the land. But Steve Harvey Morning Show?
- 31:51Speaker 1: That the nephew tom Me. We love you, Miss Glenda. Okay,
- 31:56Speaker 1: love you too. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 32:01Speaker 1: All right? Well, now that the Super Bowl was over
- 32:03Speaker 1: in the New England, Patriots are the world champions. According
- 32:07Speaker 1: to the New York Daily News, President Trump called NFL
- 32:10Speaker 1: Commissioner Roger Goodell a dope. The highlight quote was when
- 32:14Speaker 1: Trump referred to Goodell as a dope and a stupid guy. Yeah,
- 32:18Speaker 1: I thought he said stupid In there too. Mr Trump
- 32:20Speaker 1: went on to elaborate that the commissioner was a failure
- 32:23Speaker 1: on all things, from the Ray Rice incident all the
- 32:26Speaker 1: way to deflate Gate. To crystallize this point, Trump theorized
- 32:31Speaker 1: that Goodell uh blew the Rice deal so bad that
- 32:34Speaker 1: he thought he had to make up for it through
- 32:36Speaker 1: Tom Brady. Well, he certainly didn't get booed when he
- 32:40Speaker 1: came out on the field, Uh Sunday night. As he
- 32:45Speaker 1: got through talking, he walked right down. He would no
- 32:51Speaker 1: longer one out while he can get out. That's crazy. Well,
- 32:58Speaker 1: Ms hann is here with today's head going good morning everybody.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Good morning, Steve, morning, everybody out there. This is am
- 33:05Speaker 1: trip with the news. Well, the attorney general of fifteen
- 33:08Speaker 1: states and the District of Columbia joining the legal fight
- 33:11Speaker 1: against President Trump's ban on travel to this country. According
- 33:15Speaker 1: to a legal brief file with the Ninth Circuit Court
- 33:17Speaker 1: of Appeals, California alone alone has more than students, faculty,
- 33:22Speaker 1: and medical students and residents that would be negatively affected,
- 33:26Speaker 1: they say by the new administration's entry restrictions. So the
- 33:29Speaker 1: state of California and the other states are in support,
- 33:32Speaker 1: they say of that lower Court's recent suspension of the
- 33:35Speaker 1: President's order. That lower court in Seattle, the Ninth Circuit
- 33:38Speaker 1: Court of scheduled Oracle arguments later today by phone on
- 33:42Speaker 1: the matter. Mr Trump says his ban is necessary to
- 33:45Speaker 1: protect national security and to keep potential terrorists out of
- 33:48Speaker 1: this country. So for now, though those who hold visas
- 33:51Speaker 1: valid visas are arriving in the United States to medical students,
- 33:55Speaker 1: by the Way and faculty members rallied outside Northwestern University
- 33:59Speaker 1: School of Medicine in Chicago last week to try and
- 34:01Speaker 1: save the Affordable Healthcare Act, or Obamacare. That demonstration was
- 34:06Speaker 1: part of a larger one entitled White Coat for Coverage,
- 34:09Speaker 1: was organized by medical students of all colors across the country.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Protests say that while Obama mccare isn't perfect plugging, pulling
- 34:16Speaker 1: the rugout from under the feet of the most vulnerable
- 34:19Speaker 1: patients is certainly not the answer. Well. The U. S.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Senate is expecting to vote later today on the confirmation
- 34:25Speaker 1: of President Trump's nominee to head the Department of Education,
- 34:29Speaker 1: lady named Betsy DeVos, and the votes expected to be
- 34:31Speaker 1: real close. Senate Democrats protests that her nomination overnight on
- 34:34Speaker 1: the floor of the Senate, with Michigan Democrat Gary Peters
- 34:37Speaker 1: saying Divorce is simply out of her debt for the job.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Mrs Devas's weak performance in her interview before the American
- 34:44Speaker 1: people and her inability to demonstrate a basic understanding of
- 34:48Speaker 1: key education concepts, I do not think that we can
- 34:52Speaker 1: give her a passing grade. Two Republicans have also announced
- 34:57Speaker 1: their opposition to Divorce's nomination. The Democrats are hoping to
- 35:00Speaker 1: get at least one more Republican to stand with them. However,
- 35:03Speaker 1: the Boss will probably get the nod folks, because the
- 35:05Speaker 1: confirmation hearing for Trump's pick for U. S. Attorney General,
- 35:08Speaker 1: Jeff Sessions was postponed so that he could cast a
- 35:12Speaker 1: vote for Divorce. And if there's a tie fifty fifty,
- 35:15Speaker 1: which is what looks like it's going to be, vice president,
- 35:17Speaker 1: Mike Pence will break the tie, and of course he's
- 35:19Speaker 1: vice president, so he's gonna go with the President. Okay.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Lays for former New England Patriots Aaron Hernandez asking for
- 35:25Speaker 1: a three month delay for the start of her nanez
- 35:28Speaker 1: Is double murder trial because of what they say is
- 35:30Speaker 1: a mountain of new information. The Boston Herald reporting that
- 35:33Speaker 1: the former NFL players. Attorneys say some of the new
- 35:35Speaker 1: info includes the fact that prosecutors are going to be
- 35:37Speaker 1: calling eight new witnesses they want to find out about them.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Her Nan is accused of gunning down a friend and
- 35:43Speaker 1: of earlier drive by killings of two other men outside
- 35:45Speaker 1: of a club. And today is Black HIV and AIDS
- 35:48Speaker 1: Awareness Day. It's African American Coaches Day. And it's also
- 35:52Speaker 1: send a letter to a friend Day, something so many
- 35:54Speaker 1: of us no longer do. Well. Yes, back to the
- 36:04Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, I thank you, miss saying, Hey, let's go
- 36:08Speaker 1: to the phone. Y'all still upset about the Patriots winning. Huh.
- 36:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna turn this into counseling. Help him, Steve uh
- 36:17Speaker 1: line one Cora out of Tennessee. Hey, hey, now we're
- 36:24Speaker 1: find baby. I'm gonna just go and teach the letter
- 36:26Speaker 1: file because how to deal with this. I'm from Cleveland.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I can help you through it. Go ahead, I'm gonna
- 36:30Speaker 1: just start counseling people. What can I do for your core?
- 36:34Speaker 1: I'm the first first Steve I want to say, Miss
- 36:36Speaker 1: tu the one with the song the Burden song, I love,
- 36:40Speaker 1: I love absolutely. It was a beautiful song. It's a
- 36:44Speaker 1: very beautiful song. Thing you love it? Yes, I loved
- 36:48Speaker 1: it too, Yes, Yes, I love h At the end
- 36:57Speaker 1: of the day, minus of the flighted balls, everything, everybody's
- 37:00Speaker 1: trying to say, you have Yes, he is the greatest. Yes,
- 37:08Speaker 1: thank you for calling. Let's go next time. J out
- 37:14Speaker 1: of Georgia, Hey J, good morning JA. What's going on?
- 37:18Speaker 1: What's your opinion? Man? See, I'm from Atlanta. I live
- 37:22Speaker 1: in Atlanta about from New Orleans, so we weren't going
- 37:25Speaker 1: for aim anyways. So I woke up this morning I

- 39:18Speaker 1: hit in Eugenia, here, Cass, Tommy's not are Eugene out here.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Let's go to the phone. All right, Let's go to
- 39:30Speaker 1: line three and talk to Dana out of North Carolina. Hey, Dana,
- 39:33Speaker 1: good morning, Good morning. How are you with your comment?
- 39:37Speaker 1: I'm doing great. The ultimate therapy for the Falcon fans
- 39:42Speaker 1: would be to drive down eighty five and take us
- 39:45Speaker 1: Carolina fan too lunch. Okay, drive to drive up eighty
- 39:50Speaker 1: five and take a Carolina fan to lunch. That's real
- 39:55Speaker 1: nice baby, That's really good, isn't it is the man
- 39:58Speaker 1: you're trying to talk to Falcon family. I'm actually a
- 40:01Speaker 1: panthers for him. But the guy you trying, Cam had
- 40:05Speaker 1: a great commercial yard Oh yeah he did, and so
- 40:07Speaker 1: did Morgan Freeman. But Cam did too. Yeah. I don't
- 40:15Speaker 1: know how you guys don't see it, but anyway, Yeah,
- 40:17Speaker 1: we loved Cam Newton's commercial. It was good. But Morgan
- 40:20Speaker 1: don't know you sure he can? He just listen to
- 40:26Speaker 1: the show. I'm was the biggest fan. All right, Dana,
- 40:31Speaker 1: thank you. Uh. Let's go to line four and talk
- 40:35Speaker 1: to Marketsha out of d C. Oh, my goodness. I
- 40:42Speaker 1: love you guys so much. Hey, um and oh god no,
- 41:01Speaker 1: because he I'm gonna have to work with him soon.
- 41:03Speaker 1: He doesn't know this, but I'm telling you so. I'm sorry.
- 41:07Speaker 1: I just got to say this me personally, I feel
- 41:10Speaker 1: like the Falcons they just got too comfortable. It's like
- 41:12Speaker 1: a relationship. They got in and they got comfortable. That's
- 41:15Speaker 1: just my opinion. But the iceing on the case was
- 41:19Speaker 1: that four years of bad hair commercial. People say they
- 41:22Speaker 1: didn't see it. The four years of bad hair commercial.
- 41:25Speaker 1: What I don't your hand and shoulders? Ye know? It
- 41:29Speaker 1: was called tins hair Tin hair care, no more thought.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Oh are you? Are you talking about the super Bowl commercial? Yeah?
- 41:39Speaker 1: Four years of bad hair? Oh? Oh got you? I
- 41:47Speaker 1: surely care about if Morgan Freeman was that commercial. I
- 41:50Speaker 1: didn't see it. If he wasn't it? You know, let
- 41:53Speaker 1: me teach you all a little something about making own
- 41:56Speaker 1: calls on radio station. Try to connect your information, because
- 42:00Speaker 1: don't just call in here and have random mass thoughts
- 42:04Speaker 1: that's out here, just Steve, you're supposed to be. This
- 42:07Speaker 1: is the therapy call you're supposed to be. I'm gonna
- 42:10Speaker 1: give her therapy because you're just in here talking about
- 42:13Speaker 1: the fuckings and then whatever, and then it's for years
- 42:16Speaker 1: of bad hell? Where did that come from? You? Didn't
- 42:20Speaker 1: you gotta say? And then you know my favorite commercial
- 42:23Speaker 1: was the one about four years of bad. Then we
- 42:25Speaker 1: can stay with your calling here tripping us out. People
- 42:31Speaker 1: trying to get this trip. We trip enough of this
- 42:37Speaker 1: show d to listen to this phone. But it started
- 42:42Speaker 1: out saying I'm srla, I love that. Oh yeah, in hasty,
- 42:46Speaker 1: I love that part. I'm just saying, you're listening to
- 42:49Speaker 1: Steve Hardy Morning Show. Hey, listen to everybody. Do you
- 42:57Speaker 1: want more chatter without a huge wire spill on a
- 43:00Speaker 1: blazing fast four g l t E network, Well, with
- 43:03Speaker 1: Simple Mobile you'll get more speed and more data for
- 43:07Speaker 1: sixty dollars a month. Want better wives? The answer is simple,
- 43:11Speaker 1: it's Simple Mobile. Coming up next, we're gonna tell which
- 43:16Speaker 1: late night snacks could sabotage your weight loss goals, and
- 43:20Speaker 1: we're gonna find out about my late nights. That's gonna
- 43:26Speaker 1: be interesting. Alright, Well, we all love in late night snack,
- 43:37Speaker 1: but what you reach for it could sabotage your weight
- 43:40Speaker 1: loss goals. Now, this is according to Women's Health. Certain
- 43:43Speaker 1: pre bedtime snacks can keep you tossing and turning. They
- 43:47Speaker 1: can lead you to overeat the next day and mess
- 43:49Speaker 1: with your fat burning hormones. All right, dark chocolate is
- 43:54Speaker 1: one of them, and you know we all love dark chocolate. Uh,
- 43:58Speaker 1: cut me deep. Yes. When it comes to satisfying your
- 44:01Speaker 1: sweet tooth before bed, this seems like a healthy choice,
- 44:04Speaker 1: but it's actually, um, exactly what you don't want when
- 44:08Speaker 1: you're going to sleep. Caffeine and sugar. Sleeping on a
- 44:12Speaker 1: surge of quick acting sugar is the perfect environment for
- 44:16Speaker 1: fat storage, spicy saltsa. It's the heartburn that you have
- 44:20Speaker 1: to worry about here. While a glass of red wine
- 44:24Speaker 1: does help health boosting, does have health boosting antioxidant, it
- 44:29Speaker 1: still doesn't make a good nightcap. A lot of people
- 44:32Speaker 1: drink a glass of wine before bedtime. You might have
- 44:34Speaker 1: a hard time reaching the deep restaurant. Huh call good
- 44:41Speaker 1: night care? Might not be healthy, but oh you're talking
- 44:47Speaker 1: about liquor. Okay, Uh, you know you should. You should
- 44:50Speaker 1: wait an hour before hitting the sheets. Um for each
- 44:54Speaker 1: glass of alcohol that you drink. Okay, So you drink
- 44:56Speaker 1: a glass of alcohol, don't get immediately into the bed.
- 44:59Speaker 1: Wait an where it says, so, see what's your favorite?
- 45:02Speaker 1: It brings me to you. What is your favorite nighttime
- 45:05Speaker 1: late night snack? I like, hey, I'm sandwich. I think
- 45:11Speaker 1: a good as I'm saying, yeah, that works, okay. I like, hey,
- 45:18Speaker 1: I'm sandwiches. I like ox tails. You know if I
- 45:22Speaker 1: can get that's heavy big as bowl ox tails and rice. Yeah,
- 45:28Speaker 1: right on down, I'm good to go. That's late nice snack.
- 45:31Speaker 1: That's the whole meal. But my ain't my antie eat that.
- 45:35Speaker 1: She eat pot roast and potatoes. That's that's pretty much
- 45:38Speaker 1: it before bed. Yeah, you know black folks and in
- 45:43Speaker 1: the head my grandmother dad, that's what they do. Whatever
- 45:47Speaker 1: they cooked at seven thirty. If you eat that at
- 45:49Speaker 1: leven thirty. I remember Lee training Lee hany your trainer,
- 45:53Speaker 1: Steve said, eat for what you're getting ready to do
- 45:57Speaker 1: to bed. You should need nothing because you ain't been
- 46:00Speaker 1: to do it, he said. But I don't listen to live.
- 46:06Speaker 1: I'm not fit to be Mr Limping. It ain't your gold.
- 46:09Speaker 1: And you ever had a bad of skins for you
- 46:12Speaker 1: go to bed? You can't lay down on skins. Let
- 46:15Speaker 1: me tell y'all, man, they don't go down at all.
- 46:20Speaker 1: You ever had it, You have ate some bunch of
- 46:22Speaker 1: skins and didn't drink enough water, and they get stuck
- 46:24Speaker 1: right there. In the middle of your kids, and then
- 46:27Speaker 1: you drink a little bit of water and all they
- 46:29Speaker 1: do is expand them. Now you're dying. Skins and damn
- 46:34Speaker 1: they died. I'm from the hood. I bought a pack
- 46:41Speaker 1: of skins one time, was coming home eating them, and
- 46:43Speaker 1: then some boys started chasing me. I damn choked some
- 46:52Speaker 1: polk skins and not for running, man, So no pork
- 46:57Speaker 1: skins for late night snacks ixtail. Yeah, I'm saying, here's
- 47:01Speaker 1: one changed. While you're eating a slice of Oh man,
- 47:07Speaker 1: a little boy headed up streeting. Then I'm skinny, can't fight,
- 47:14Speaker 1: gotta get on in the wind, still trying to eat
- 47:18Speaker 1: that watermel. I took that slice of watermelon on my
- 47:20Speaker 1: arm like a football. I was clear hedges in there.
- 47:29Speaker 1: You're not alright, bottom line, No sugar before you go
- 47:34Speaker 1: to bed. Okay, it's not good for you, know man.
- 47:36Speaker 1: They laid the chocolate on the pillows in your hood
- 47:39Speaker 1: and you eat them. And I just did that because
- 47:42Speaker 1: it be so good, ylicious. Can't do chocolate, can't do
- 47:47Speaker 1: spicy salce and what else? At least wait an hour? Yeah,
- 47:53Speaker 1: all right, Uh, we gotta go to break I try.
- 47:57Speaker 1: We come back after the break for the day after. Well,
- 48:00Speaker 1: Tommy got a prank phone call. He's not here today, Tommy, Uh,
- 48:04Speaker 1: what's at the super Bowl? And I thought, I just
- 48:07Speaker 1: think he got drunk. You're listening, Steve, all right, here's
- 48:17Speaker 1: tommy prank phone call. Mom is the ring? The ring?
- 48:25Speaker 1: That's the prank phone. Tommy got a prank phone call.
- 48:28Speaker 1: He's not here today. Tommy us at the super Bowl.
- 48:32Speaker 1: And I thought, I just think he got drunk. I
- 48:37Speaker 1: didn't see her coming. Man. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to

- 48:57Speaker 1: but you gave it to one of my sales persons,
- 48:59Speaker 1: and yes, you wanted to get it resized as well
- 49:02Speaker 1: as get it a praise. Correct. Yes, yes, yes, and

- 49:18Speaker 1: is your wedding? Thank you, I'm getting married and stuff.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Come there, Well, congratulations to you. Listen. I don't know
- 49:24Speaker 1: how to tell you this now, as far as your
- 49:26Speaker 1: praising list concerned, I've looked at your ring over and
- 49:29Speaker 1: over and this this ring is probably worth maybet excuse me.
- 49:37Speaker 1: I've been I've been in this business for over twenty years.
- 49:40Speaker 1: But you know what, I'm confused on what you just seeing.
- 49:43Speaker 1: And I understand that. What I'm trying to explain to
- 49:45Speaker 1: you is that I've been in this business for over
- 49:46Speaker 1: twenty years. I've seen so many different pieces of jewelry
- 49:50Speaker 1: and this is something that you that you buy late
- 49:53Speaker 1: night on an infomercial for this is a Cubic Zaconian
- 49:58Speaker 1: stone and the goal old is not real at all.
- 50:01Speaker 1: It's like, whatever way you wait, you lost me. You
- 50:04Speaker 1: lost me as much money as my hand make and
- 50:07Speaker 1: as much money as my father is putting down on
- 50:09Speaker 1: his winding or has put down. And you're gonna understand
- 50:12Speaker 1: everything you're saying, but he's honest. What I need you
- 50:15Speaker 1: to do is hold on. No, I need you to
- 50:19Speaker 1: hold on because we need to convictims. Wait. Wait, man.
- 50:22Speaker 1: First of all, I can't wait wait wait, wait, wait, wait. However,
- 50:27Speaker 1: hold hold on because you wait, wait wait, what are
- 50:32Speaker 1: you trying to what you're trying to do I need
- 50:35Speaker 1: I need you to repeat because what you just said
- 50:38Speaker 1: to me, Okay, I need you personal stuff man. You
- 50:42Speaker 1: oh you're in it. It's personal now, So I need
- 50:44Speaker 1: you to hold on. Okay, Oh she calling man, Okay,
- 50:51Speaker 1: think think hello, convictim. I want you can listen to
- 50:55Speaker 1: this deal and that's on the phone. I want you
- 50:56Speaker 1: to hit it that he just told me. Hold what's
- 50:59Speaker 1: what's the problem? What you're me what's the problem. He's
- 51:00Speaker 1: gonna tell you what the problem is. Gonna hit on, sir,
- 51:02Speaker 1: gonna hit on. Hello, Yeah, who's this all right? My
- 51:06Speaker 1: name is Gavin. I'm from Diamonds. And actually your wife,
- 51:10Speaker 1: I mean where your fiance. Rather, she brought her ring
- 51:13Speaker 1: in to actually be re sized, and we we also
- 51:16Speaker 1: did an appraisal on the ring for her and actually
- 51:20Speaker 1: the ring is estimated to be only in the word
- 51:23Speaker 1: to around fifty dollars. That's what the man said, sir.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Obviously there's some sort of mistakes, sir. Now what you
- 51:34Speaker 1: got to say about fifty that's that's got to be
- 51:37Speaker 1: some kind of mistakes from what did you say your
- 51:39Speaker 1: name was, sir? My name is Gavin. I work here
- 51:41Speaker 1: at Diamonds. I'm the head jeweler here. I've been here
- 51:43Speaker 1: for twenty years, and uh, there's there's no way that
- 51:47Speaker 1: that ring is worth fifty dollars. I know what I
- 51:49Speaker 1: paid for it. So obviously there's some sort of mistakes.
- 51:52Speaker 1: There's not a mistake. I've been dealing with jury, I've
- 51:55Speaker 1: seen it. I can pretty much look at a ring.
- 51:57Speaker 1: But I actually went into detail on this one, as
- 52:00Speaker 1: I do all of them, and so I promise you
- 52:02Speaker 1: this is probably maybe between forty and fifty dollars for
- 52:06Speaker 1: his workers. Absolutely not. That's that's impossible. How is that impossible?
- 52:11Speaker 1: He's the jeweler. You heard him say, he's been doing
- 52:12Speaker 1: it for twenty That impossible. I don't understand that all
- 52:16Speaker 1: the money that my dad putting down on this wedding,
- 52:18Speaker 1: and you're gonna say fifty you bought a cheap ring.
- 52:22Speaker 1: So no, no, no, I did not buy tea. This
- 52:25Speaker 1: is this is this is obviously some kind of mistake.
- 52:27Speaker 1: You didn't got it? You shoot that you show got
- 52:30Speaker 1: that right? So what you got to say for yourself?
- 52:34Speaker 1: Then you can't I believe that that's right, that this
- 52:37Speaker 1: is obviously some kind of mistake. Oh, it is a mistake.
- 52:39Speaker 1: I'm mistake and be thinking I'm gonna get married to
- 52:42Speaker 1: the man of my dream. I do have the engagement
- 52:44Speaker 1: ring that was purchased and bought for your wife. I
- 52:47Speaker 1: don't think you I don't think you do. I don't
- 52:48Speaker 1: think you have my ring, because if you have my ring,
- 52:50Speaker 1: you wouldn't be telling me this is words fifty dollars.
- 52:53Speaker 1: I have the ring that your wife, your fiance brought
- 52:57Speaker 1: his wife. Yet hold on, hold on the man trying
- 52:59Speaker 1: to am trying to get to the box. Thank you,
- 53:03Speaker 1: so you have I don't think you have the right ring. Um,
- 53:05Speaker 1: I have the right ring. And what I'm letting you know, sir,
- 53:08Speaker 1: is that this is something you buy on an infomercial
- 53:10Speaker 1: in the two occock of the morning on their home Dude,
- 53:13Speaker 1: you don't like I ain't bottle damn ring on infomercial.
- 53:17Speaker 1: I bought the ring from a reputable establishment. I have
- 53:20Speaker 1: the receipt, I have the certificate. So obviously the mistake
- 53:24Speaker 1: is on your and where you're mistakes out here. You
- 53:27Speaker 1: bought a piece of jump. He's a doing it all
- 53:29Speaker 1: these years. How hell he's gonna make a mistake. You
- 53:32Speaker 1: come off telling me I bought a piece of jump.
- 53:34Speaker 1: I know what I bought. If there's any mistakes that's
- 53:36Speaker 1: been made, it's on your end, world, it's not on
- 53:39Speaker 1: my end. Yeah, hold don't. Don't you want thing that
- 53:45Speaker 1: my dad is paying too much money for this wedding? Pay?
- 53:50Speaker 1: Will I tell him this? Chill? Hold on. First of all,
- 53:53Speaker 1: I don't appreciate you. I want to tell you this.
- 53:55Speaker 1: This is a typical case of you trying to pawn
- 53:57Speaker 1: it off on us because you bought a piece stup
- 54:00Speaker 1: for fifty bucks. I don't know, Manute that your time
- 54:03Speaker 1: and I get a ring, then he's hold on, let
- 54:05Speaker 1: me talk to this. Where you going? I never heard
- 54:10Speaker 1: of it? So your wife knows exactly where that she's
- 54:13Speaker 1: the one that brought the ring. And I'll tell you what.
- 54:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna come down there to see the ring that
- 54:18Speaker 1: you're talking about. If it's not the ring that I
- 54:20Speaker 1: gave my girl, I'm gonna take seventy six hundred dollars
- 54:22Speaker 1: out of your because that's so. Now you want to
- 54:26Speaker 1: jump on me because you bought your wife a piece.
- 54:29Speaker 1: Come on, and you want to put it on me.
- 54:31Speaker 1: You don't tell me what the don't know what the
- 54:34Speaker 1: I spin on the ring and you I don't kind
- 54:36Speaker 1: of trying to pull. First of all, I don't appreciate
- 54:38Speaker 1: you coming in my household trying to mess my and
- 54:40Speaker 1: you want to come to me with this, I know
- 54:42Speaker 1: the ring better be real. If I were you, miss
- 54:45Speaker 1: the niece, I would not marry somebody that's gonna be
- 54:48Speaker 1: I'm coming. I'm looking for your pocket and you know what,
- 54:52Speaker 1: you don't get the ring and a right me and
- 54:53Speaker 1: you're gonna go in it. Could I say one more
- 54:55Speaker 1: thing to both of you? All better? I tell you
- 54:57Speaker 1: what if they say, did I want to hear me?
- 54:58Speaker 1: And you're gonna have some more problems. This is nephew
- 55:01Speaker 1: telling me from the Steve Harby Morning Show. Y'all just
- 55:04Speaker 1: got pranked by the niece's sister. That that why she
- 55:14Speaker 1: ain't got no man to do. That's wow, that's how
- 55:20Speaker 1: I cool telling you about the star. I'm sorry, baby,
- 55:25Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I will make it up. I
- 55:30Speaker 1: gotta ask y'all something. What is the baddest radio show
- 55:34Speaker 1: in the low the Steve Harvey Morning Now you're listening
- 55:40Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, we're back
- 55:45Speaker 1: top of that buckle up, hold on up, it holds
- 55:49Speaker 1: on time. You're listening to the stubby and letter. This
- 55:52Speaker 1: is my BS voice. This is how I try to
- 55:55Speaker 1: sound six, even though my chin and is the same.
- 56:05Speaker 1: From the side, I look like a turtle, a hard
- 56:09Speaker 1: shield turtle. Um. For those of you don't know what
- 56:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna do with my life, this is Thomas mom.
- 56:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna beat her. I'm gonna beat her. I'm gonna
- 56:20Speaker 1: be the new poster boy for turtle Way. Shut up, ju,
- 56:32Speaker 1: I just thought about that turtle. I thought about that
- 56:35Speaker 1: bottle and put to shield is actually ladies and gentlemen,
- 56:43Speaker 1: the strawberry lettle with my girl shirless straw Thank you, junior.
- 56:50Speaker 1: Great job you're doing today. Subject As I mentioned, is
- 56:53Speaker 1: it too late to tell her he's a dog? Three
- 56:56Speaker 1: years ago, my best friend married what she thought to
- 56:59Speaker 1: be the man of her dreams. He was my husband's
- 57:02Speaker 1: good friend from college, and we introduced them at a cookout.
- 57:05Speaker 1: After they had dated for a year, my husband informed
- 57:09Speaker 1: me that his friend was also dating someone else. Besides
- 57:12Speaker 1: my friend. Being the good friend that I am and
- 57:15Speaker 1: feeling guilty for hooking her up with this two time
- 57:18Speaker 1: in dog, I immediately informed her. She brushed it off,
- 57:22Speaker 1: and said she was already aware of it and that
- 57:25Speaker 1: she had ended it with the that he had ended
- 57:27Speaker 1: it with the other female. On their wedding day, my
- 57:30Speaker 1: husband informed me that my best friend soon to be
- 57:33Speaker 1: husband's ex was sitting in the church and she was pregnant.
- 57:38Speaker 1: I was an utter shock and had no idea how
- 57:40Speaker 1: to handle this situation. Not wanting to ruin her day,
- 57:44Speaker 1: I kept my mouth shut. Mr Dog must have spotted
- 57:48Speaker 1: her in the pew because he was stuttering and sweating bullets. Luckily,
- 57:52Speaker 1: the female remained quiet and the wedding went on without incident.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Every night I am laden with guilt because, as I know,
- 58:00Speaker 1: my best friend's husband is come and has a secret
- 58:03Speaker 1: family she knows nothing about. At this point, I feel
- 58:07Speaker 1: too much time has passed for me to say anything.
- 58:10Speaker 1: But the more I see him, it makes my skin crawl.
- 58:13Speaker 1: To add insult to injury. You can clearly see the
- 58:16Speaker 1: other female in the wedding wedding video. Was I wrong
- 58:20Speaker 1: not to say anything? And is it too late to
- 58:23Speaker 1: tell her? Now? Okay, stay out of it. I'll say
- 58:28Speaker 1: it again, friend, stay out of it. Yes, it's too late.
- 58:32Speaker 1: Don't even think about you. See what happened when you
- 58:36Speaker 1: told her the first time, she brushed it off. It's
- 58:38Speaker 1: right there in your letter. You said she brushed it off,
- 58:41Speaker 1: and she said she was already aware of it. What
- 58:44Speaker 1: you should have learned from that was that she was
- 58:46Speaker 1: not trying to hear anything you had to say about her. Man,
- 58:51Speaker 1: plain and simple. So don't go making that same mistake twice.
- 58:55Speaker 1: She may not take it as well the second time around.
- 58:58Speaker 1: All right, Uh, your role is her friend is to
- 59:00Speaker 1: be there for her when the truth does come out
- 59:03Speaker 1: about the real father of the baby, her whack husband,
- 59:06Speaker 1: then you step in and be her friend. Steve Wow, Uh,
- 59:11Speaker 1: this letter has uh dirt on it all the way through.
- 59:19Speaker 1: I feel for the girl. Let me just go over
- 59:21Speaker 1: a couple of things ago. Three years ago, your best
- 59:25Speaker 1: friend married what she thought was be the man her dreams.
- 59:28Speaker 1: That happens to a lot of people. It ain't just
- 59:30Speaker 1: your friend. Uh. He was my husband's good friend from college.
- 59:34Speaker 1: We introduced him matter cook, how y'all just did a
- 59:36Speaker 1: nice thing. After they dated for a year, your husband
- 59:39Speaker 1: told you that his friend was also dating someone else
- 59:42Speaker 1: besides my friend. Okay, now that's her husband talking to
- 59:46Speaker 1: his wife. Now, I just want you to understand, husbands
- 59:49Speaker 1: tell a wife stuff that they can't tell nobody else.
- 59:53Speaker 1: So I want you to understand that that was a
- 59:55Speaker 1: natural order that your husband going, Hey, my boy dating
- 59:59Speaker 1: another girl. You know, I'm just letting you know that
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: you know, he dating somebody else. That's a man talking
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: to his wife. Her husband's secrets can go deeper with
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: his wife than even his best friend, as long as
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: the secret ain't about him. You understand, We'll tell you
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: about a lot of stuff long as it ain't about you,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: ain't about us. Yeah, hold, but you will get some
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: information from your husband that that he won't share with
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: anybody else. So that's good being a good friend. That
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I am feeling guilty for hooking up with the two
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: time and dog, I immediately informed her. See that you
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: know already stepped out of the box. Now you immediately
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: informed her about this man. She brushed it off, said
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: she already aware of it, and that he had ended
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: it with the other female. On the wedding day, your
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: husband informed you that my best friend soon to be
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: his husband's ex. Excuse me, you're at the wedding. The
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: dudes ex that he apparently broke it off with was
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: sitting in the church and she was pregnant. Oh oh
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: that's it. Oh hell good, Come on, I'm telling you
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: that all the stuff that do groom was saying Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Father, Jesus.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: And she's not. He's not calling him lord, you know,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: like Lloyd Lloyd Jackson Lood. That's when you're really in trouble.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: I was in the other shock and had no idea
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: how to handle the situation. You want nothing for you
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: to handle. Just be quiet, not wanting to ruin her day.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: I kept my mouth as you should. Mr Dog must
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: have spotted her in the pew because he was stuttering
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: and sweating bullets. Yes it was. That was some stuff
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: on his leg to it, hopefully the tuxedo pa Dog,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: and it was stuff on his leg, solid and liquid.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I want you to know that too. Luckily, the female
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: remained quiet and the wedding went on without incident or incident.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: Just once again, didn't see the incident. That wedding was
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: not incident free. Matter of fact, it was an incident
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: and an accident, and it was on the groom every night.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: I'm laden with guilt about whether my best friend husband
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: is scum and I held a secret and excuse me.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Every night I'm laden with guilt because I know my
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: best friend's husband is scum and has a secret family
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: she knows nothing about. At this point, I feel too
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: much time has passed for me to say anything. But
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: the more I see him, it makes my ski and crawl.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: Stop letting your ski and crawl. First of all, it
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: really ain't your problem. You ain't got to like the guy,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: but I don't. I think I agree with Surely you've
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: got to be quiet to add insult to injury. You
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: can clearly see the other female in the wedding video.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: She said, my girl doing the most. She and all
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: the camera shot all over the all over, the shot
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: over the groom shoulders, he say, I do. She's probably
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: rubbing her stomach all in the video, holding her mouth
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: like she having morning sickness to thee and groom. If
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: you look carefully, she's mouthing the words into the camera show.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: There's a lot of options when it comes to buying
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: flowers for Valentines, but there's only one rose authority. And

- 1:05:33Speaker 1: she in the video mouthing baby, watched the video closing baby.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Now what you really ought to be great for? False?
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: It ain't none of the girls that went to my
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: high school for Cleveland. Why are you saying that because
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: war state that came to the wind, that videographer would
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: have been busy. He had needed to turn this into
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: a folk camera shoot because all heir would have broke loose.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: I'm surprised. But what the woman did was she sat
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: there suggest to be disrupted, but she know and she
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: positioned herself where the groom would know she was there.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: And she sat there pregnant and watched him say I
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: do I do. I'll tell you right now from the
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: grooms perspected the greatest moment of that day was after
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: he kissed the bride and walked down the aisle. That
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: was his greatest moment. Right there, it's over. Yeah, she
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: ain't saying that. At least we got out there. But
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: you need to look at that reception video close to
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: she might be in there slow grinding with your best
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: man in that video. You never know what You need

- 1:07:08Speaker 1: got to worry about it. You can't keep a family secret.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: No that it's gonna come out. It's gonna come out,

- 1:08:57Speaker 1: pic that's pregnical with twins. She has no intention, no
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: intention because this was a concern last week when she
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: made the big announcement about her pregnancy and the twins.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: She has no intention of canceling her performance at Coachella.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: She's a headliner at a Coachella festival. She'll also perform

- 1:10:02Speaker 1: That's this coming Sunday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: It'll air live a Eastern on CBS. Yep, somebody else
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: are still before? Yeah, she is good and ain't seen
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: all of them. I think I've seen all quite a
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: few and have been through a couple of Grammars. Well,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: she's here with today's headlines. Good morning, miss Anne, Good
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: morning Steve Banning. Everybody out there. This is Andrews. Good morning,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: lovely ladies. President Trump speaking to troops at McDill Air
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Force Base in Florida yesterday, still making his case for
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: a more restrictive screening process for people wishing to come
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: to the country. We need strong programs so that people
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: that love us and want to love our country and
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: will end up loving our country are allowed in, not
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: people that want to just drawing us. And that's right.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: And the President also accuses the media of covering up
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: and not reporting terrorist attacks. It's gotten to a point
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: where it's not even being reported, and in many cases
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: the very very dishonest press doesn't want to report it now.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: Trump cites no examples of these cases, but his spokesman
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Sean Spicer said that terrorist attacks quote this is his
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: quote aren't exactly covered to a degree on which they
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: should be unquote. Spicers promised to come out with a
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: list of those supposedly under reported terrorists incidents. Meanwhile, the
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: attorney general of fifteen states in the District Columbia have
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: joined the legal fight against President Trump's ban on the
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: travel uh from certain countries. In fact, the Ninth Circuit
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Court scheduled or arguments by phone today on the matter.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: As for now, those who hold valid visas are arriving
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: in the United States. Law of them trying to get
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: here really quickly before things change. Lloyd's for former New
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: England Patriots Aaron Hernandez asking for a three month delay
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: to start on Nani's double murder trial because of a
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: mountain of new information today black HIV and a We're
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: to stay and send a letter to a friend day. Yes,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: wait a minute, Mr post man out back to Steve
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: Harvey Moran shows. All right, hey, thank you for saying.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: Coming up next, Orlando Jones will be here to tell
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: us about bets. Come on, Brown, I knew it Mediba,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: but I was, I was a bit bets Mabada, That's
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: what I knew. I knew you were though here to
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: tell us about bets Mabada, b e t And then
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: that was too much, right, I love me so much.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: I just love you. It's a movie. I'm not Oh
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: you thought, oh that's a good movie. Yeah, yes, like history. Yeah,
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, Coming
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: up next, actor Orlando Jones will be here. He's gonna
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: tell us about Medieva. Steve. It's b et s historic
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: movie chronicling Nelson Mandela struggles against Apartheide over three nights.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: It also stars Laurence Fishburne playing Nelson Mandela. Wow looks powerful.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: It looks powerful. Laurence Fishburne nailed it too. They never
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: asked me to do no roles like no, Sir Mandela. Yeah,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: and you have to have an accent. Sounds the same man.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: All right, Steve had to go and do an interview
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: on the Cayman Island. So mad at him. I can't
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: wait to get there, right all but we are here
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: and we're so delighted, delighted to have a special guest
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: for you. B et s original Medieba is a three
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: parts saga. It tells the definitive story of Nelson Mandela.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: It premiered on February one and Tomorrow night. The story
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: continues only on b ET at eight pm Eastern. Medieba
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: is the cornerstone of b e t s Black History
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Month programming and joining us now is one of the
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: big stars of Medieva. Please welcome to the show. We
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: love him. Mr Orlando Jeng, Good morning, good Mond. Oh
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: look at you. I was I was wondering is he
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: really in South Africa? Is they are a delay there?
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Good morning, Orlando. How are you? I love that accent.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Good morning, and I am very good. I wanted Steve
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: to know that me and Michael Blackson have a move program.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: We are coming out. We want to offer him the
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: starting role of black Man number four. And that's exactly
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: how he'll sign his autograph. Yes, it does not matter. Yes,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: let that mind be an. You're so right about that.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: Welcome Orlando. We're so happy to have you now. Uh.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: Laurence Fishburn stars as Nelson Mandela. You start as Walter Suzulu,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: one of Nelson Mandela's closest friends. So tell us about
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: your role in the movie and everything. So I'm playing
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: all over all of the Cambo, and Dave Harwood is
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: actually playing Walter Sisulu. But you know, I get I
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: get us and to change all the time. Girls, I
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: don't even worry about it. I am. It's a It's
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: an amazing role, an amazing role, you know, well, all
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: of a Tambo and and Nelson man Sella, Nelson Mandell
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: and Walter Susulu, we're basically best friends. So they they
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: were trying to fight apartheid. They Nelson and Oliver knew
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: each other because they had both gotten kicked out of
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: Fort Hair University for cause in trouble and organizing the students, uh,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: you know, for overs of It's so these three men
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: along with the you know, other groups of people, Govan
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: Becky and I commed Catrada sort of all got together
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: turned the prison into a university creative system of educating
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: people back and forth in university and Oliver went into
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: exile and uh in London and they all fought to
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: take down apartheide over you know, a fifty year period.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: So a real honor to play such a which it
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: is such a distinguishment, it really had I feel grateful
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: for the role. Yeah, and you, I mean, we haven't
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: seen you in a minute on screen, so so it'll
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: definitely be a treat Orlando to see you back and
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: welcome back. So you're playing a character called Oliver Tambo
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: uh Now Madiba was filmed exclusively in South Africa, we understand,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: and on Robin Island. What was that like to be
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: in South Africa working on this project where it all happened.
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: It was crazy, it was it was wonderful. Im And
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: obviously I've been I've done three other films in South Africa,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: so I was familiar with it, but you know, never
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: going to the actual places where stuff happened. Um. But
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: the thing is, this is South African history, so the cast,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: everybody's obviously South African. So if you mess up, they'd
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: be looking at you side and side I and the
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: whole time. Like you can still a lot of teeth
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: in South Africa if you mess up. To accent represents
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: the culture. So there was serious pressure on us to
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: make sure guided right. And most of the cast of
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: South Africa, and Terrri Fetto, who plays Whinnie Mandela is
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: uh in South Africa. Then Toshiwa and Govan Becky. I mean,
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: they're incredible actors in South Africa. They really killed it
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: and obviously this this so so story is a really
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: source of pride for them. Well, now you sounded great.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I'm no authority on South African accents, but it sounded
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: really good and very convincing, uh to us. So how
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: do you how do you do you you do that?
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: How do you do you have to work on that?
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: You have to take those uh classes and everything to
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: get the accent just right? How did you get that
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: accent like that? Well? You know, uh, they don't, they
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: don't do the Daniel day Lewis for black actors and
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: give us a couple of years to figure it out.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: You got two weeks two you better get it right.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Better get it right. No mistakes and not neither. But
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: it sounds great. I mean we're no authorities, but whatever
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: you're doing, it sounds I mean spot on. You nailed
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: the tambo. That is. Oliver had a really interesting voice
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: because he spent thirty years in London in exile, so
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: you had a lot of you know, old saft sounds
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: and a lot of sort of American sounds, so he
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: had a very specific sort of voice. I mean obviously
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: I've been you know, doing that sort of thing since
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: uh just Matt TV and you know, just coming out
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: of you know, sleepy hollow and playing sort of a
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: guy who's really a New Yorker, and you know, they
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: always throw me some craziness and they're like, she can
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: handle it. They're like, we realize you black and from
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Alabama down south. We don't even want you to sound
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: like special negrow. Uh, this is a special New York Negro,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: a special African Negro always, but you're so talented or Lindo,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: they know you can pull it off. They know you
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: can nail it. They do. We gotta ask you about
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: the incredible Lawrence Fishburne. Though he stars as Nelson Mandela,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: what a great talent there um, He really embodies that role.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: What was it like to work with Lawrence Fishburne on
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: this project. Lawrence is a longtime friend and mentor. He
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: was actually the person who saw me on Matt TV
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: and told me did you should be in the movies?
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: And Uh, to work with him again in this capacity
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: was first of all, he's an amazing human being, but
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: just an astounding actor. But he brings a calm to everything.
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: And when I look at the type of work he's doing,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: producing shows like Blackish, like Diva, you know, very much
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: like Seves. You know, he's very much setting you know,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: I think a new path forward. You know, I was
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: tracking Steve on Instagram with his lovely wife all through
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: Paris week looking super flied. I was like that new
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: fancy black lack got a labat the smell in the
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: air or something. It's wonderful to see represented like this
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: by by black men and these black women who are
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: who are putting forth a different black than people have
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: previously seen and Lawrence is definitely somebody who's done that
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: with his career that I admire and look up to
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: a great deal. Or Linda, I wish we had more
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: time with you. I mean, I can't wait to finish
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: seeing Medeba. It's only on b ET. It's February eighth
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: and February fifteenth at eight p m Eastern on b ET.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: Please you guys check it out, go get some history
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: for yourselves and and learn learn more about it as
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: we all are in the process. But with great characters
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: like Nelson Mandela that that Laurence Fishburne is playing and
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: Oliver Tambo that you're playing. Orlando, thank you so much
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: for taking the time to come and speak with us today.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: Me anytime I'm a listener. You think I'm listening to
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: you all all the time. Anytime you need me, hit
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: me up on there. He has always been loved for me.

- 1:21:42Speaker 1: thank you so much again. MEDIEBA only on b ET
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: February eighth and February fifteenth at eight p m Eastern.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: Thank you, Orlando, We love you. Thank you coming in,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: all right, coming up, ladies, we're gonna find out if
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: he's really hooked on you. Right after this. You're listening
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here we go, Steve.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: You guys will come right out and say that they've
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: fallen hard. But these gestures are some dead giveaways. All right,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: he becomes very helpful. Yeah, okay, okay, so far, so good. Right. Yeah,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: you know how you guys love to feel needed. You
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: crave that feeling. So when they're when you're hooked, you'll
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: invent ways to be of assistance, like mowing your lawn
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: or like changing the oil in your car. And it's
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: more practical than romantic, we know that. But his heart
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: is in the right place right see. Yeah, Okay, you're
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: happy just to hang. A guy is happy just to hang.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: When a guy is fully invested in being around you,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: he's content to chill, just absolutely doing nothing. Um. So
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: it's a good son mind when you start seeing him
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: more often, even if your time together is less planned out,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: you're just hanging out. You're just you know, you don't
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: have it. We gonna be some touching. And she didn't
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: here for two hours and I touched what were in
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: here for. It just says when a guy is fully
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: invested all around you, we'll do something. I watched it,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: you know what I do Sometimes when they get him
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: go to the restroom. I hit the fast forward on
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: the movie come back forward, but didn't put it on. Paul. Yeah,
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: we're funny. Get to the end because you have plans,
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: all right, Well, when the whole baby is this, I
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: don't know, baby, this movie ain't good. This movie things
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: remind him of you. If he's emailing you funny websites
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: he's found or says he saw something in the story
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: you'd like. It proves you're on his brain full time
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: and becoming part of his inner world at that point.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: You know, I was watching these two gorillas down at
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: the zoo, and I just thought about us. That's from
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: from I'm just a big pot belly. He gives you that. Okay,
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: here's another one. He gives you a sweet nickname. Men
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: only use tender terminology like pet names once they're comfortable
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: being vulnerable around you. Yeah, my man, my my daddy
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: one time took us to the zoo, and his description
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: of the ranger tang just like that's what my father,
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: Look at that, damn rang all the animals at the
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: zoo reminded my daddy a RelA that gon need them
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: just a rhino. They're gonna need to look at it. Well,
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: just look slew footage and look like a hard ship.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: Look at that. I went through the whole two of
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: my daddy talking about people. I go, your mama, pastor
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: what hyena? Look at him? And all they asked for? Damn?
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: What about the pet names? Is that a true one too, Steve?
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: Pet name? Yeah, you got your little pet names, don't Yeah,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: they's gotta be pet names. Can't be nothing sexual like
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: can't you know, like ca't calling it short? Looking like
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: all that? What can be the nickname? But it can't
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: be you know, like all that, all that can't be
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: your nickname. Now that's sure for all that. Oh, look
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: at all that right there. You know what I'm gonna
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: call You're gonna call you all that see right there?
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: Ain't good. No, it's a sweet nickname that he'll give
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: you that. But you know, if your nickname is food related,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: that's saying a lot about you too, Like pumpkin pie, cookie,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: pound cake, pound cake, roast. You had to go there roast,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: sexy or cute, ain't shoulder bought out? All right, I
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: ain't a good nickname. If they got a nickname, they're
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: kind of being cute with you. That's cool. Okay, so
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: you agree, you've you've agreed with all of these. Actually,
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: oh things remind him of you. He gives you a
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: sweet nickname. He's happy just to hang out with you,
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: but he becomes really helpful. M hmm. If you see
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: a man spin on another dude about you, I'll tell
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: you right off, Patty when he's spin on another dude,
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: even if it's his homeboy. Yeah, if you get defensive,
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: bottle or check a dude, a man, no dog, all
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: that around my girl, Ain't they what we do? I
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: like it? I like it? Yeah, guys, if he slipped
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: your tie, that's a show sign that that's not a
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: that didn't make the list. It's gonna sign though. Yeah,
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: well it's Conso you know. Some of the lists can
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: come from magazines like Black Tail. That's all. It's like
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: like you turned the corner heat right there where you
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: being's signing. Yeah, that's neither shot at your ex's coming
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: back around here. Yeah, that's m m. You gotta pick
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: the kids up and he and already got him. That's
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: a sign that he can. That's a sack that he
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: really care about you. Are you him in the argument
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: with your kids? And then you hear the kids go,
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: you ain't my daddy, and then you're here. I might
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: not see your daddy, but where the hell he has?
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: That's yeah, he's there. Keep the keeper, kid. Yeah, you're correcting,
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: threatening your your ex, do your children? You know when
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: I see your puck as daddy? Yeah, he come in.
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: Your daddy got one more time. Next time you go
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: over there on visitation, you tell him. Yeah, right there,
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: he's a keeper. You're listening. Steve Hardy Morning Show. Let's
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: go to the phones, Monica fad Today, Lime three. Let's
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: go to Adam out of Pennsylvania, Adam, Good morning entire,
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: Steve Harvey crew behind the scenes as well. Man. My
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: comment is, uh, well, first of all, I just disagree
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: with you, Steve. Want to uh Brady being the best.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: Montana I still think is the best because today is
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: the past happy league and the rules is a little different.
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: So Montana got feed up a little more. They both
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: can take regular players and tournaments. Check it. Accept that
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: you don't. Yeah, yeah, I'll coached again, just like like
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: Belichick did. Uh. The Steelers, they I'll coach them in Atlanta.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: Should have kept up the pressure the way they beat
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: up Aaron Rodgers disrupted them. They let down, they got
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: comfortable from place it yea yeah, all right, Adam, I
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: mean you're right. Tom Brady wouldn't take them at the
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: balls at hey, I'm starting the room. Come on, we
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: gotta have some to fight with when we talk to
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: the Patriot. All right, Adam, thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: All right, let's let's let's go to line Uh, let's
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: go to line seven and talk to Marlon out of Kentucky. Marlon,
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: good morning, lady. Steve Jr. Hurry, hurry, good comment from
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: the coach of the Sockers. He said it wouldn't be
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: one thing that he would change. Well, I agree with Steve.
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: With the three holding calls in the row that led
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: to their first touchdown, I would change that and the
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: controversial call on if the ball was down on the completion.
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: As I watched it and so motion several times it
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: was a complete pass. It was. It was incredible how
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: he managed to still focus on the ball and make
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: sure it didn't hit the ground, but it went off
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: a leg and off of arm, and right before he
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: hit the ground he had it. So, I mean it
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: was a good game. I'm not a fan of either team.
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: I just like to see a good game. Yeah, good game.

- 1:33:04Speaker 1: They had booming custom for four hours. See they told Boomerang.
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: They said, sir, okay, you don't have any explosive. You
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: had checked that block. You don't have explosive. But what
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: we cannot find out find it's well it is the
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: chicken because he had to check the poultry box on
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: the floor. You don't have any explosive. What we came
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: find out just where is the chicken? A black dude
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: worked there and came up and said, sir, are you
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: the guy that was in the Kings of Comedy movie
