- 1:41Speaker 1: them out. You got to turn them out. Then turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water go. Come come on your fahuh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I share will a good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice, come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay, today is simple.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I got it together. I didn't have to. I gave
- 2:17Speaker 1: a little thought this morning. I actually got up in
- 2:20Speaker 1: um went to the gym, and I make time for
- 2:26Speaker 1: that too. Man. That's but that that's that's, that's that's
- 2:29Speaker 1: kind of what I want to speak with everybody about
- 2:31Speaker 1: today because I want to remind you and if you
- 2:34Speaker 1: haven't heard it, I'm gonna share it with you. I
- 2:37Speaker 1: want to tell you. I want to just talk to
- 2:41Speaker 1: you about effort today, just about effort. You know, it's
- 2:48Speaker 1: it's it's it's a word that people use to describe
- 2:52Speaker 1: sometimes trying. But what I found out about trying is
- 2:57Speaker 1: trying is just a noble way of saying you didn't
- 3:01Speaker 1: get it done. I tried when and then everybody go, well,
- 3:06Speaker 1: he tried, that was the best. Well, that's that's not
- 3:10Speaker 1: exactly true, though, that that's that's not exactly true. You are,
- 3:15Speaker 1: and I want to talk to you about that because
- 3:18Speaker 1: I don't want you to be one of the people
- 3:20Speaker 1: who just tried. See trying, I mean, I gotta tell
- 3:26Speaker 1: you to attempt something, You're gonna have to first try.
- 3:31Speaker 1: But I want you to change your mindset from trying
- 3:35Speaker 1: to getting it done. See, that's a that's a big difference.
- 3:39Speaker 1: When you say I'm gonna get it done and when
- 3:42Speaker 1: somebody says to me, I'm gonna try. Those are two
- 3:45Speaker 1: different people I'm talking to. I'm really more apt to
- 3:48Speaker 1: listen to the person that says to me, I'm gonna
- 3:51Speaker 1: get it done because trying to me, I know what
- 3:54Speaker 1: that means. Man. And oftentimes when you've tried, have you
- 3:58Speaker 1: ever noticed that you've not gotten it done? It's because
- 4:02Speaker 1: when you go in with the mindset of trying, I'm
- 4:05Speaker 1: gonna try, what try does is it allows you to fail.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Trying allows you to fail, because if all you're gonna
- 4:13Speaker 1: do is try, anybody can try. It's the person that
- 4:17Speaker 1: has the mindset that I'm gonna get it done is
- 4:21Speaker 1: the person who changes the complexion of things, who changes
- 4:25Speaker 1: the outcome of thing, who gets a different results. I'm
- 4:30Speaker 1: gonna get it done. It's very different than I'm gonna try.
- 4:34Speaker 1: You know. Look, man, I know this sounds a little harsh,
- 4:37Speaker 1: but you gotta stop feeding yourself these little old wise
- 4:42Speaker 1: sayings that ain't it was a valiant tribe. Hey man,
- 4:46Speaker 1: you talk to anybody that took second place in the
- 4:50Speaker 1: super Bowl and see how they feel about their valiant try.
- 4:54Speaker 1: The only way to gain God's real blessings is you
- 5:00Speaker 1: have to try something. Steve your backpedalin, now, listen to
- 5:06Speaker 1: me close. You have to put forth an effort to
- 5:14Speaker 1: allow God to put his finger on something to bless
- 5:19Speaker 1: on your behalf. You must start to attempt now insane
- 5:25Speaker 1: getting it done, and I'm gonna try. That's a difference
- 5:29Speaker 1: of two different faiths to me that I'm just talking
- 5:33Speaker 1: about me. Now. You may be different, so I can't
- 5:35Speaker 1: I can't say this about you, but I can't say
- 5:38Speaker 1: this about me. If I say, I'm gonna get it done.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I have a lot of faith in it. I am
- 5:48Speaker 1: going to get it done because I just don't see
- 5:51Speaker 1: failure as an option. A lot of times now, if
- 5:54Speaker 1: somebody says to me, like the Olympic team invited me
- 5:58Speaker 1: out to curl one day, which is throw these stones
- 6:01Speaker 1: on the ice. If you're not familiar with it's very simple,
- 6:05Speaker 1: and so I said, man, I'd like to give that
- 6:09Speaker 1: a try. I went in full well knowing I may
- 6:15Speaker 1: not come away from this little curling lesson as a
- 6:20Speaker 1: person who could make the Olympic team. I just wanted
- 6:23Speaker 1: to try it because I thought it looked cool and
- 6:25Speaker 1: I always wanted to get it done well. I failed twice.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I threw a stone completely into the other lane. I
- 6:33Speaker 1: lost that little ice shoe, it shot out under me.
- 6:37Speaker 1: But you know what, I kept trying though. I kept
- 6:41Speaker 1: trying until I got four of them stones in that
- 6:44Speaker 1: circle right where I aim. But now had I give
- 6:47Speaker 1: it up after I failed, After I threw that stone
- 6:52Speaker 1: in the other lane, after I shot my shoe down
- 6:55Speaker 1: all the way to the bottom side, the little ice
- 6:57Speaker 1: shoe they give you, I never did it, but because
- 7:00Speaker 1: I was trying something got me together a little bit
- 7:05Speaker 1: because of my effort, and it caused me not to
- 7:07Speaker 1: fall the next time, not to throw it in the
- 7:10Speaker 1: other lane, not to shoot my shoot to the back
- 7:12Speaker 1: of the wall. All of a sudden, my trying became
- 7:16Speaker 1: something now had I stayed out there and it wasn't
- 7:20Speaker 1: so cold, and I went back week after week after
- 7:23Speaker 1: week after week. I promise you I could get it done.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I could at least know how to compete in a
- 7:32Speaker 1: game of curling. Might not be the best. I might
- 7:35Speaker 1: not win the championship, but I could have got it
- 7:38Speaker 1: done to the point where I could have competed in
- 7:40Speaker 1: the game of curling. So sometimes if you're scared to
- 7:44Speaker 1: say I'm gonna get it done, just go out there
- 7:46Speaker 1: and get started. You know, learn from every attempt that
- 7:51Speaker 1: you make. See, don't quit writing yourself off as a
- 7:55Speaker 1: failure every time something don't go right. When I failed
- 7:58Speaker 1: on that ice, I could have said, man, can't curl.
- 8:00Speaker 1: But hold up, man, I'm watching four other women out
- 8:03Speaker 1: here curl for other dudes. I did curl a little
- 8:05Speaker 1: kids out curling. Hold up, Pardner, you know, man. So
- 8:09Speaker 1: I learned when I threw that stone on the other ice,
- 8:12Speaker 1: when I when I fail, when when my shoe shot off?
- 8:15Speaker 1: I learned from every attempt a little bit more about it.
- 8:20Speaker 1: And then I said to myself, at one point time, man,
- 8:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna get this stone in that circle. I'm gonna
- 8:27Speaker 1: get this stone in this circle. And guess what I
- 8:31Speaker 1: got it done. Now what you're saying to me, Steve,
- 8:35Speaker 1: I'm saying to you that you gotta get started, that
- 8:38Speaker 1: you gotta put forth an effort. Give God something to bless.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Oh God, bless me, Oh God, bless me. Bless you? What?
- 8:46Speaker 1: Bless you? Why? Bless you? How? Stop basing your results
- 8:50Speaker 1: on what you're thinking. You gotta think higher. You get
- 8:54Speaker 1: God in your life, man, He allows you to think higher, bigger,
- 8:57Speaker 1: better more. I'm sitting up in my debt. I came
- 9:01Speaker 1: up with a plan to get out of debt in
- 9:03Speaker 1: five years. I came up with this plan right. I
- 9:06Speaker 1: was sitting up and I was tripping on it. Now.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I said, wait a minute, man, hold up, this is
- 9:11Speaker 1: what I came up with. I said, God created heaven
- 9:16Speaker 1: and earth, all of it, the mountains, the sky, the valleys,
- 9:21Speaker 1: the oceans, trees, the birds, all of this. Man, Mount Everest,
- 9:28Speaker 1: the Gobi desert, the Indian Ocean, all of it, made
- 9:32Speaker 1: all of it in six days, and then he rested
- 9:37Speaker 1: on the seven. So why am I taking to God
- 9:41Speaker 1: the five year plan? If he can create heaven and
- 9:45Speaker 1: earth in six days, why am I walking in there
- 9:50Speaker 1: talking about helped me in five years? How is it
- 9:53Speaker 1: gonna take God five years to getting me out of debt?
- 9:58Speaker 1: And he made heaven and earth six days? Do the math? Hill, Man,
- 10:02Speaker 1: I ain't that big. You ain't that big. You ain't
- 10:06Speaker 1: in that much trouble. I ain't in that much trouble. See,
- 10:10Speaker 1: God got a way of showing you some things, man,
- 10:12Speaker 1: but it's gonna take some faith, and faith gonna take
- 10:15Speaker 1: some effort on your part. Man, get out and do something. Man,
- 10:19Speaker 1: you God to bless you a little bit and give
- 10:21Speaker 1: you a little bit more courage. And then all them
- 10:23Speaker 1: attempts you making is gonna and all this So I'll
- 10:26Speaker 1: try you know what that turn into. I'm gonna get
- 10:28Speaker 1: it done. And at the end of the day, that's
- 10:30Speaker 1: what you have to do, because trying to pay your
- 10:33Speaker 1: rent and not paying your rent, it's two different things.
- 10:36Speaker 1: You can try to play or pay your rent, or
- 10:39Speaker 1: you can get it done. Now how long you think
- 10:41Speaker 1: you're gonna stay in that house trying. You got to
- 10:44Speaker 1: go with the mindset of getting it done. And if
- 10:46Speaker 1: you can put some stuff out there and give God
- 10:49Speaker 1: a chance to put his finger on it and bless
- 10:50Speaker 1: it for you the most stuff he can do for you,
- 10:53Speaker 1: quit looking around what everybody else gotten. Gonna get some
- 10:55Speaker 1: of it for yourself. Okay, all right, you're listening Dave

- 14:09Speaker 1: You don't see that. Yeah, I understand. Wouldn't like when

- 14:19Speaker 1: On the day after birthday? What are you show you
- 14:24Speaker 1: want to say you like when you get married? Junior?
- 14:28Speaker 1: What did you ride? I got away? I got carried away?
- 14:35Speaker 1: Im sorry, Yes you will. At thirty two after the hour,

- 14:55Speaker 1: And I bet you didn't know. It's probably because of
- 14:57Speaker 1: your digestive system. So I was backing we should do
- 15:00Speaker 1: something about it. And who doesn't love a challenge? Manamians?
- 15:04Speaker 1: Who's gotta do? Which challenge? That's super easy? Mena mensal
- 15:07Speaker 1: traps and removed the ways that waves you down? So
- 15:10Speaker 1: you're feeling louder and more regular, And who don't want that?
- 15:13Speaker 1: So give it a try and check it out menamusal
- 15:16Speaker 1: dot com and sign up now? Okay, Steve, So you
- 15:20Speaker 1: know last break you're in Vegas. You've been partying and
- 15:23Speaker 1: gambling all night. What are you there for? Though? Can't
- 15:26Speaker 1: you tell us you haven't meeting the CS conference? What's that?
- 15:30Speaker 1: It's a tech conference out here in Vegas? Uh? You know,
- 15:34Speaker 1: opportunities are out here, you know, yeah, usting opportunities, chances
- 15:39Speaker 1: to partner with some the next greatest tech firm, you know,
- 15:43Speaker 1: our opportunity you never know. And I've had some interesting
- 15:46Speaker 1: meetings out here. Very very blessed and fortunate man I
- 15:50Speaker 1: was one of the speakers yesterday Nice and So I
- 15:55Speaker 1: was interviewed by gentleman that heads up for the magazine
- 16:00Speaker 1: on stage in front of them room full of tech people.
- 16:03Speaker 1: So it was interesting. Okay, you're hustling, Steve Harvey know
- 16:08Speaker 1: how to fall? So how are you going to make
- 16:11Speaker 1: some money or not? Well, you know, you you partner
- 16:15Speaker 1: with people, you know. I look for partnerships, that's meaningful.
- 16:19Speaker 1: I look for people who are looking for an equity partner.
- 16:23Speaker 1: You know that they are sharing their business idea and
- 16:26Speaker 1: maybe they don't have the platform that I have. Maybe
- 16:30Speaker 1: like I'm in sixty six percent of all American homes
- 16:35Speaker 1: in one shape form or another. We talked it between
- 16:38Speaker 1: seven and nine million people every week on this radio show.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I got a pretty big, you know, social media platform.
- 16:46Speaker 1: So I'm on radio, TV and social media and I
- 16:50Speaker 1: could promote from any angle. That's that's pretty that's something
- 16:54Speaker 1: to offer on top of all that. Yeah, hell, I'm fighting.
- 17:00Speaker 1: It is like ass hell though, yeah famous ass as. Yeah,
- 17:08Speaker 1: that's good. But you know, I don't realize he was
- 17:15Speaker 1: really famous when he stopped traffic in Times Square in
- 17:18Speaker 1: the middle of the day. What were they doing nobody's
- 17:21Speaker 1: moving because it's there. Don't stay hark hell no. Yeah.
- 17:26Speaker 1: They can't believe. Isn't it amazing when you see that.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I see that because we saw in Paris, we saw
- 17:32Speaker 1: traffic stock Man we we we wh God. But you
- 17:40Speaker 1: know it's crazy. My kids the same way, calling him
- 17:44Speaker 1: all the time. I want to dad, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 17:51Speaker 1: da dad, dad Dad? Could you pay us at techen? You? Yeah?
- 17:59Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. I saw an interview with Robert Downey Junior
- 18:03Speaker 1: and he was talking about no, I take that back,
- 18:06Speaker 1: Johnny Depp Sparrel right from Private to the Caribbean. So
- 18:10Speaker 1: he thinking he's doing big things because he's Jack Sparrow
- 18:13Speaker 1: Pirates of the Caribbean to his son. He invited Robert
- 18:16Speaker 1: down to Junior over and so for dinner. His kids
- 18:19Speaker 1: was like iron Man coming over here. I'm Jack Sparrow,
- 18:24Speaker 1: the like by iron Man's coming over here. For so
- 18:29Speaker 1: he was like that, you know your shipping lead. Yeah.
- 18:34Speaker 1: So that's cool though, Steve, that's really really cool. Yeah yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 1: And so you know, you just come out here and
- 18:40Speaker 1: you try to make connections. I've met some really interesting people.
- 18:43Speaker 1: It's some sharp African Americans out here. Not enough good
- 18:47Speaker 1: by long shot, but black sharp ones out here that
- 18:50Speaker 1: I met, you know, I mean, I do busy with anybody.
- 18:53Speaker 1: I'm just it's good when you see African Americans. Yeah,
- 18:57Speaker 1: out here in the tech field because that's where every
- 19:00Speaker 1: thing is headed. So you know, so you can make
- 19:02Speaker 1: there's a pleasure to sit and talk with some of them.
- 19:04Speaker 1: You know. We had a good time, and I'll do today.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I'll be out here today. I'll leave tonight, but we'll
- 19:09Speaker 1: walk the floor and you know, try to make some contacts. Man,
- 19:14Speaker 1: see we can come up. We see if I can,
- 19:16Speaker 1: you know, get that paper hit one over the wall,
- 19:19Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Yeah, let me ask you
- 19:21Speaker 1: this a Steve. I was watching the news and I
- 19:23Speaker 1: saw this report on CNBC, and you know, I was
- 19:26Speaker 1: talking about how these the government shutdown and how the
- 19:29Speaker 1: federal workers are in financial limbo. And it brought a
- 19:34Speaker 1: spotlight this government shutdown of how people are not just
- 19:37Speaker 1: government employees. We live in paycheck to paycheck. Oh yeah,
- 19:41Speaker 1: you know, and they're saying this was a There was
- 19:43Speaker 1: a survey and Career Builder that said that ten percent
- 19:46Speaker 1: of Americans with salaries of more than a hundred thousand
- 19:49Speaker 1: dollars as well, live paycheck to paycheck, So what kind
- 19:53Speaker 1: of it? Yeah, what kind of financial advice can you
- 19:55Speaker 1: give people? Steve, I'm gonna tell you something, man, It
- 19:58Speaker 1: really is different not to leave paycheck to paycheck because
- 20:03Speaker 1: what jobs do is they pay you enough to get
- 20:06Speaker 1: to the next check. You end up working, and so
- 20:11Speaker 1: you want something to show for your work. You want
- 20:13Speaker 1: a new car, you know, you want some new furniture. Yet,
- 20:17Speaker 1: you want your wife to upgrade the kitchen. You know.
- 20:19Speaker 1: You want a lot of different things in life, and
- 20:23Speaker 1: it costs money. So when you don't have the money,
- 20:26Speaker 1: you extend yourself debt wise. And that's understandable, that's human nature.
- 20:32Speaker 1: It just takes a couple of emergencies in one year
- 20:37Speaker 1: to throw off your financial structure. If you've been saving
- 20:41Speaker 1: fifteen percent and then you have a seventy five percent
- 20:44Speaker 1: emergency that takes up seventy five percent of your check, well,
- 20:48Speaker 1: how do you recover from that? Especially after after you
- 20:51Speaker 1: have to go into your money that you keep trying
- 20:54Speaker 1: to save and all of a sudden you got to
- 20:56Speaker 1: go into that to get out this emergency. Yeah, it
- 21:00Speaker 1: becomes quite difficult not to live check to check, and
- 21:05Speaker 1: so the only thing, And I'm just so people can
- 21:09Speaker 1: stop feeling horrible about themselves once you hit the emergency
- 21:14Speaker 1: stairs twice, we really emergency as well. But you know
- 21:21Speaker 1: that I want people to stop feeling so bad because
- 21:23Speaker 1: you live in paycheck to paycheck because a lot of
- 21:26Speaker 1: people are. Stop feeling bad about that because you check
- 21:30Speaker 1: to check because the majority of the people are. And
- 21:35Speaker 1: so what you want to do is to get out
- 21:39Speaker 1: of living paycheck to paycheck. My own solution I've ever
- 21:43Speaker 1: had is not to cut back. My solution has always
- 21:47Speaker 1: been make more right. I'm sorry, it's the only way.
- 21:52Speaker 1: It may not be the most professional advice you can get,
- 21:56Speaker 1: but my thought is to make more who wants to
- 21:58Speaker 1: go to work and then try to cut their cablelong
- 22:01Speaker 1: so they could save money. Wow, turn your damn car
- 22:04Speaker 1: in so you could save money, not car poo hill.
- 22:08Speaker 1: All right, Steve, thank you for that. Yeah, Hey, everybody,
- 22:12Speaker 1: I'm here. I made it. Hey, Shirley morning. Well you've

- 22:23Speaker 1: out breaks like you've been sitting here. We'll be right right.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Run that prank back right after this. You're listening show
- 22:35Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, guys in
- 22:38Speaker 1: entertainment news Meek Mill? Whoa why is he in this?
- 22:42Speaker 1: Why is he protesting lace front wigs? He ain't by myself?
- 22:47Speaker 1: Well he just got that. Nothing long are we not
- 22:49Speaker 1: having that? Though? You know social media was not having this.
- 22:53Speaker 1: They weren't back yep, ye ain't nobody had on lace
- 22:57Speaker 1: fronting there? Quiet had late but never you tell me
- 23:01Speaker 1: it is here. Of course he's gonna run that frank back.
- 23:03Speaker 1: We'll talk about Meek Mill coming up though. Never. All right,
- 23:05Speaker 1: here we got for a hot brother, brother, let's run next. Hello. Hey,
- 23:13Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Alan. This is Alan Alan. How
- 23:17Speaker 1: you doing man? My name is Bobby, Bobby Book. Uh
- 23:21Speaker 1: what what can I do for you? I got your
- 23:22Speaker 1: number man from the from the hospital. Did you just
- 23:27Speaker 1: um within the last I guess three four months? Did
- 23:30Speaker 1: you get a hot transplant? But then a half months ago? Yeah?
- 23:35Speaker 1: I did? I did three and a half months ago. Okay,
- 23:39Speaker 1: how you been feeling, man? Actually good, I'm actually up
- 23:42Speaker 1: and around faster than I thought it was gonna be,
- 23:44Speaker 1: you know, So I'm doing well. Thank you? Are you with?
- 23:47Speaker 1: Are you. Are you with the hospital? No, no, I'm not. Actually,
- 23:53Speaker 1: you know, they gave me your number. Man. I hope
- 23:55Speaker 1: you Kate waity, but you you you actually uh the
- 24:00Speaker 1: heart that you got was from from my brother. Charge
- 24:05Speaker 1: Oh my god. Really yeah that's my brother, my brother.
- 24:09Speaker 1: I'm so sorry about your brother. But wow, I gotta
- 24:12Speaker 1: tell you he saved my life. Man. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 24:17Speaker 1: so so, I you know, I just want to call
- 24:19Speaker 1: you man. I hope you on mind. You know, no, no,
- 24:22Speaker 1: not at all. It's kind of like a little bit
- 24:24Speaker 1: of my brothers. It's still living, you know what I mean,
- 24:27Speaker 1: It kind of it kind of feels like my brother's
- 24:29Speaker 1: still living. So that's a good thing. It's a good thing.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Thank you. Yeah. Yeah, let me ask you this, man.
- 24:37Speaker 1: I'm just curious because your Caucasian, right yeah. Yeah, I'm like, yeah,
- 24:41Speaker 1: do you feel any any different having a black man's
- 24:45Speaker 1: heart in your body? Cutting up? No, I don't feel
- 24:49Speaker 1: any difference. Uh no, okay. I didn't really think about
- 24:53Speaker 1: it though, And this this will just make me and
- 24:56Speaker 1: the rest of the family feel good that we knew
- 24:58Speaker 1: what he was dedicated to the things that matter. Twin,
- 25:02Speaker 1: would you feel all right joining the naacp Uh is
- 25:08Speaker 1: that are there some people are gonna be upset that
- 25:10Speaker 1: I joined? I mean, is that okay? Well, you know,
- 25:14Speaker 1: I don't know about anybody being upset. Man, It's just
- 25:17Speaker 1: I know my brother that that's what he was a
- 25:19Speaker 1: part of. And you know, you you walking around with
- 25:22Speaker 1: his heart. Man, it would just feel different, feel great,
- 25:25Speaker 1: you know, to have to feel like he would be
- 25:27Speaker 1: back in there doing what he was doing and fighting
- 25:30Speaker 1: for for injustice for the black community. Now you are
- 25:35Speaker 1: Democratic or Republican? Well, you know, I mean honestly that
- 25:38Speaker 1: I was Republican until Trump, and now I'm just really
- 25:42Speaker 1: I'm kind of on the sense. I mean that guy's
- 25:45Speaker 1: in the idiot you did vote for Trump. I did not,
- 25:48Speaker 1: But I am a Republican, okay. So and the reason why,
- 25:51Speaker 1: you know, because I'm just curious man about it. What
- 25:53Speaker 1: I what I would hate to see is, you know,
- 25:55Speaker 1: when twenty twenty come around, you know, you you over
- 25:59Speaker 1: there in the voting, but you know, with my brother
- 26:01Speaker 1: black heart and you and there, you know, voting Republican, uh,
- 26:06Speaker 1: you know, And and that's something that I know my
- 26:08Speaker 1: brother wouldn't be doing, you know what I'm saying. So
- 26:10Speaker 1: I'm just I'm just asking. Well, I mean, I'm not
- 26:13Speaker 1: happy with Trump, but if someone else in the Republican
- 26:15Speaker 1: Party runs and I agree with them, I'm it's kind
- 26:19Speaker 1: of like it's my heart. Now. I can't change my
- 26:22Speaker 1: point of view just because of that. I mean, yeah,
- 26:24Speaker 1: but but but but what you're not gonna do, though, man,
- 26:28Speaker 1: is be in there with my brother black heart, and
- 26:31Speaker 1: you up in there making some decisions that I know
- 26:33Speaker 1: my brother wouldn't do. You see what I'm saying. That's
- 26:36Speaker 1: a long way off, man, But I can't promise you that.
- 26:38Speaker 1: I mean, if somebody runs and I like, I mean,
- 26:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna vote the way I feel my heart and
- 26:44Speaker 1: my head, tell me the hold one. Don't don't say
- 26:47Speaker 1: what my heart because that ain't your heart. You know,
- 26:50Speaker 1: I stand to my brother. Heard, so you got every
- 26:52Speaker 1: right to ask me what you think my brother would
- 26:55Speaker 1: feel in his heart. And I tell you you understand
- 26:58Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I don't ask the way I feel. Man,
- 27:02Speaker 1: Let me ask something. Have you have you been like
- 27:04Speaker 1: craving different kinds of foods that you don't know? E?
- 27:07Speaker 1: Have you been looking at I don't know? I mean
- 27:09Speaker 1: girl like greens like my brother ate a lot of greens.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Did you do you feel like you do woes and
- 27:13Speaker 1: greens come down? I like greens occasionally. Yeah, okay, have
- 27:18Speaker 1: all of a sudden, do you like women who have
- 27:21Speaker 1: big butts? All of women in general? I didn't think
- 27:24Speaker 1: about specifics. But you know, if they're good looking, they're
- 27:27Speaker 1: good looking. Well waiting, wait a minute, what kind of
- 27:30Speaker 1: calls this? Man? I mean you're asking me all these
- 27:32Speaker 1: random questions. Why what? I don't understand where it was
- 27:36Speaker 1: coming from. It's coming from my brother's hawt That's where
- 27:39Speaker 1: it's coming from. You got my brother's black heart inside
- 27:42Speaker 1: of you. You know. Yeah, I'm asking you. I'm asking
- 27:45Speaker 1: you to do what my brother would do, not what
- 27:48Speaker 1: you would do. You want to do it from your heart?
- 27:50Speaker 1: You then you're doing it from my brother's heart. When
- 27:52Speaker 1: you first called me about your brother, I was excited.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Now I'm saying, how much did the hospital give you?
- 27:57Speaker 1: Just this number? And you get to call me up?
- 27:59Speaker 1: That's pribbly information. You shouldn't just call me and asking
- 28:03Speaker 1: all these random questions. Man, I just got a heart
- 28:06Speaker 1: test plan. Now you're starting to get me worked up.
- 28:08Speaker 1: If I'm not trying to get you worked up. All
- 28:10Speaker 1: I'm trying to man, Okay, okay, well, let me let
- 28:12Speaker 1: me just come down. All I know is you got
- 28:14Speaker 1: try hard and inside of you, and I'm trying to
- 28:17Speaker 1: let you know the kind of person Troy appeals. Okay,
- 28:19Speaker 1: so let me let me. Has your music change? Are
- 28:22Speaker 1: you listening to more art and B? Now? I do
- 28:25Speaker 1: like R and B, but I listened to hard rock.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Tale that hasn't changed. Because what's in truth hard on
- 28:30Speaker 1: stage in Troy hard, you understand. So you got to
- 28:33Speaker 1: hand that's in your heart now. Greens did books in ACP.
- 28:39Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. Okay, trying to tell you about Choy.
- 28:44Speaker 1: What are you crying? Man, I'm trying to tell you
- 28:47Speaker 1: about Choy. Hey, hey, hey, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Don't
- 28:51Speaker 1: I know you miss your brother? Don't damn, I'm sorry. Okay,
- 28:56Speaker 1: let me let me say this. Let me say, Okay,
- 28:58Speaker 1: since you got my brother, I think it's the only right.
- 29:02Speaker 1: And me and you we get together and go to
- 29:05Speaker 1: go to a jay Z call so together. I think
- 29:07Speaker 1: that's the only right a jay Z and be honestly,
- 29:10Speaker 1: because so we go together because that's what me and
- 29:12Speaker 1: my brother did. We we will go see him perform. Well,
- 29:16Speaker 1: I mean they are to the best of all time.
- 29:18Speaker 1: So am I buying both the tickets? Oh yes, Uh,
- 29:22Speaker 1: you got trouble and you worry about about who's gonna
- 29:25Speaker 1: pay for some tickets. I didn't know. I thought maybe
- 29:27Speaker 1: you might want to teat your brother one last time.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, man, Yeah, no, no, okay, listen,
- 29:34Speaker 1: I'm really I'm really sorry. I mean I get upset.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I didn't mean the yell at. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Do you do you do you listen to black radio? Sometimes?
- 29:44Speaker 1: I do listen to black radio. You never listen just

- 31:15Speaker 1: I'm done with this. I'm moving on. I'm done with it.
- 31:18Speaker 1: So what do you have to say about this, Kevin?

- 31:40Speaker 1: so that's why he said he's done. But he'll be
- 31:42Speaker 1: with us tomorrow to drop it up. Steve. Yeah, but

- 32:09Speaker 1: and in other news, Steve, many women, I know, everybody
- 32:12Speaker 1: wears a lace front wig from time to time. We

- 32:18Speaker 1: I'm get ready to color my hair. You're wearing well,
- 32:21Speaker 1: thank you. But apparently Meek Mill, who knew? I know you? Yeah,
- 32:27Speaker 1: you don't. If if they're done right, you don't know.
- 32:30Speaker 1: I do. That's the thing, Steve, If they're done right,
- 32:33Speaker 1: you don't. If you don't take it off in front
- 32:34Speaker 1: of me, I just don't know. I don't. Love you're
- 32:39Speaker 1: not upset about no problem, But technically it ain't none
- 32:43Speaker 1: of my exactly as long as you know what I'm say.
- 32:47Speaker 1: If you're not my woman. I can't comment on what
- 32:50Speaker 1: you're doing with your head, right, but you're not my woman.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Miss mill Steve said lace front wigs are whack. I'm
- 32:56Speaker 1: protesting them, and after being trolled, Meek issued this response,
- 33:00Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I just had a few bad lace experiences
- 33:03Speaker 1: that traumatized me. He said. You ever get food poison
- 33:06Speaker 1: from eating something and never want to eat it again?
- 33:08Speaker 1: He said, that's the same feeling. That is the same feeling.
- 33:11Speaker 1: He said, I'm off Twitter, I'm still not ready for Okay,
- 33:14Speaker 1: let me someone explain lace front to me. Okay, lace front,
- 33:19Speaker 1: how they make them. They put like um hair, weave
- 33:22Speaker 1: hair or wig hair on top of you know what,
- 33:25Speaker 1: a piece of like um nylons holes, yeah, different, Yeah,
- 33:32Speaker 1: and they and it matches your skin colors, so you
- 33:35Speaker 1: can't tell where the wig begins and your skin ends.
- 33:38Speaker 1: And they do it really good. They don't really well. Okay,
- 33:41Speaker 1: but if you can tell, it's probably wearing Meek hair exactly. Yeah,
- 33:45Speaker 1: that's exactly. Oh like if your starts back up your heads,
- 33:49Speaker 1: you know, or it's too far down on your forehead
- 33:53Speaker 1: or you made your point. Yes, I kind of think
- 33:57Speaker 1: I know where you're going too much baby hair out something.
- 34:03Speaker 1: If your lace front don't match the hair that showing,
- 34:07Speaker 1: and if your lace front ain't the only hair that's
- 34:11Speaker 1: in the front. All right, Steve got let's head on
- 34:18Speaker 1: over to miss standing news. If your lace front, did
- 34:22Speaker 1: you hear what I just said? Maybe your lace front
- 34:26Speaker 1: is a lace nick the next piece of hand you
- 34:29Speaker 1: see others And as the club gets longer in the
- 34:34Speaker 1: night mowing mower, your health is being exposed. It's glowed on.
- 34:39Speaker 1: So that should not be the case. Please introduce miss Anne.
- 34:43Speaker 1: We only shifted in now meet and seen hot. Miss
- 34:51Speaker 1: You can't get out of jail and see that. That
- 34:52Speaker 1: ain't what you want to see when you get out
- 34:54Speaker 1: of the ladies and gentlemen, miss and Trump. Thank you
- 34:58Speaker 1: very much everybody, and good morn. Okay, this is answered
- 35:01Speaker 1: for the news. President Trump held a brief meeting on
- 35:04Speaker 1: the southern border will issue yesterday, I mean like real
- 35:07Speaker 1: brief with how Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate democratically to
- 35:10Speaker 1: Charles Schumer. But Vice President Mike Penn says the meeting
- 35:13Speaker 1: pretty much ended as soon as it began, and that
- 35:15Speaker 1: it was the fault, he says, of the Democrats the
- 35:17Speaker 1: President called the question in the meeting. He asked Speaker
- 35:20Speaker 1: Pelosi that if he opened things up quickly, if he
- 35:23Speaker 1: reopened the government quickly, would she be willing to agree
- 35:27Speaker 1: to funding for a wall or a barrier on the
- 35:30Speaker 1: southern border. And when she said no, the President said goodbye. However,
- 35:34Speaker 1: how Speaker Nancy Pelosi says her take on the meeting
- 35:37Speaker 1: a little different what the President is claiming to be.
- 35:40Speaker 1: The situation at the border is not solved by a wall,
- 35:44Speaker 1: and we all been for border security. We take our
- 35:47Speaker 1: oath to protect and defend the American people very seriously.
- 35:52Speaker 1: This week, federal workers will miss their first paychecks, and
- 35:55Speaker 1: Santa Charles Schumer is accusing the President of having a
- 35:57Speaker 1: tempa tantrum. Mister Trump is going to be visiting the
- 36:00Speaker 1: wall today, by the way, He's going to be in Texas.
- 36:02Speaker 1: He's also brought the White House lawyer with him. Despite
- 36:05Speaker 1: President Trump's claim of GOP solidarity on his side, at
- 36:09Speaker 1: least three center Republicans, by the way, have expressed support
- 36:11Speaker 1: for reopening the government while talks about border security continue.
- 36:15Speaker 1: That's what the Democrats want. Some eight hundred thousand federal
- 36:18Speaker 1: workers are either working for deferred pay or furlough due
- 36:21Speaker 1: to the partial shutdown, now in its third week. According
- 36:24Speaker 1: to two Senate Intelligence Committee reports, Russian operatives aggressively targeted
- 36:29Speaker 1: Black Americans over social media in twenty sixteen and try
- 36:33Speaker 1: to discourage them from voting so as to help Donald
- 36:35Speaker 1: Trump get elected. The reports also revealed that since Trump's
- 36:38Speaker 1: election that Moscow has been using the Internet to inflame
- 36:41Speaker 1: racial tensions and pushed Trump's social agenda, and that while
- 36:45Speaker 1: some other ethnic and religious groups where the focus of
- 36:47Speaker 1: one or two Facebook pages and Instagram accounts, that the
- 36:50Speaker 1: black community was targeted by dozens. After voters in Wisconsin,
- 36:56Speaker 1: by the Way, voted in a new governor last November,
- 36:58Speaker 1: a Democrat named Tony Ebers, Republicans who still dominate that
- 37:02Speaker 1: state's legislature quickly made moves to cut off the incoming
- 37:05Speaker 1: governor's political legs, so they passed a bunch of bills
- 37:08Speaker 1: during a not publicized lame duck session last month, and
- 37:12Speaker 1: under the new laws, Governor Ebers will not, be, for instance,
- 37:14Speaker 1: able to modify the state's voter ID law. His control
- 37:18Speaker 1: over the state's job creation agency will be limited. Another
- 37:21Speaker 1: measure keeps him from keeping his campaign promise to pull
- 37:24Speaker 1: Wisconsin out the multi state federal lawsuit designed to get
- 37:27Speaker 1: rid of Obamacare. Governor ebers says he's considering his options,
- 37:31Speaker 1: his legal options. According to a new study, about sixty
- 37:34Speaker 1: five percent of Americans say they're in debt. Twenty five
- 37:37Speaker 1: percent of them think they'll die that way. However, households
- 37:40Speaker 1: with incomes they're about fifty thousand dollars get this. They
- 37:42Speaker 1: feel that they'll be out of debt. The soonest. I
- 37:45Speaker 1: don't know why, but they do. Finally, it's sleepyheads day.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Oh don't you wish you could sleep in today? I know,
- 37:53Speaker 1: I hear you. This is the enterp with the news.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Back to the Steve Barby Morning Show. You're listening to
- 37:59Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. According to TMZ, you know, man, this
- 38:04Speaker 1: is our Kelly thing. Uh. Well, in any way, he's
- 38:07Speaker 1: not going to be charged for allegedly giving a woman
- 38:09Speaker 1: STD and STD after the cops in Dallas closed their investigation. Wow,
- 38:14Speaker 1: he's like he's slippery, isn't he? Wow? This is our Kelly. Yeah.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Dallas PD looked into allegations that R. Kelly gave an
- 38:24Speaker 1: anonymous young woman an STD after allegedly holding her captive
- 38:28Speaker 1: as his sex slave in the docu, right, this is
- 38:36Speaker 1: about giving her the STD. They're working on probably the
- 38:40Speaker 1: captive captivity part and all that. You know, there's stuff
- 38:44Speaker 1: going on in um uh Georgia and in Chicago and
- 38:49Speaker 1: uh in no charges will be brought against our in
- 38:52Speaker 1: connection to that case. Now. This is also according to TMZ.
- 38:55Speaker 1: The woman file a police report last year twenty eighteen,
- 38:58Speaker 1: claiming she'd met in Dallas the year before. She claimed
- 39:02Speaker 1: he restrained her, applied her with alcohol and drugs, and
- 39:05Speaker 1: gave her an STD. However, the alleged victim says the
- 39:09Speaker 1: incident occurred in New York City and she will personally
- 39:11Speaker 1: fly from Texas to Manhattan in the near future to
- 39:15Speaker 1: file a police report. Meanwhile, R. Kelly is currently being
- 39:19Speaker 1: investigated like I just said, in Fulton County District Attorney's
- 39:22Speaker 1: Office in Georgia and the State Attorney's Office in Chicago
- 39:26Speaker 1: has made a plea for any witnesses or victims to
- 39:28Speaker 1: come forward to contact her office at seven seven three
- 39:33Speaker 1: six seven four six four nine two at seven seventy
- 39:36Speaker 1: three six seven four six four nine two. So I
- 39:39Speaker 1: understand what they're saying. She's saying that she met him
- 39:43Speaker 1: in Dallas, but what went down was in New York,
- 39:47Speaker 1: and so you see why Dallas didn't Yeah, they didn't
- 39:52Speaker 1: file the charges. So now she says, well, I will
- 39:54Speaker 1: go to New York York, I fly up there. Yeah, wow, Steve, Yeah,
- 39:58Speaker 1: this is I don't I don't know what what all
- 40:02Speaker 1: that means for him. I'm not you know, this is
- 40:07Speaker 1: a mess. Well, I mean I'm more of a proponent
- 40:11Speaker 1: oh him just getting his ass. But he was gonna
- 40:15Speaker 1: say that, I'm more of a proponent for that, all
- 40:19Speaker 1: these court cases and stuff. I mean, you know, we
- 40:22Speaker 1: can't vote nothing like that. I just say, you know, God, yeah,
- 40:28Speaker 1: you know your paperwork. You gotta sector j tax me
- 40:31Speaker 1: your money. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, you
- 40:36Speaker 1: can't colect them too. Daddies, that was only special. Get
- 40:40Speaker 1: in the room with him, you can't dog. Yeah. The
- 40:44Speaker 1: greatest lessons have been really handled by ass. But the
- 40:48Speaker 1: best I've ever seen. Yeah, well, I've seen a lot
- 40:51Speaker 1: of things. Get cute. There may be something to that,
- 40:57Speaker 1: because he's been in and out of court for years
- 40:59Speaker 1: and years and years and nothing's ever happened to him.
- 41:01Speaker 1: So you know, you guys may have something that man
- 41:06Speaker 1: something there, you know, and nobody who's there will be acquitted.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Over coming up at thirty four, after the hours, Steve
- 41:15Speaker 1: Beyonce stops at Target. Yeah, pictures, Yes, and we'll talk
- 41:20Speaker 1: about finances right after this. You're listening, all right? Yes, Beyonce,
- 41:29Speaker 1: the one and only was spotted at a Los Angeles
- 41:32Speaker 1: area Target. We all shot at Target. Yes, not mad
- 41:35Speaker 1: at I imagine going down the island sing Beyonce. She
- 41:40Speaker 1: was not pushing the basket though. She was not doing that.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Her people were doing that. She was just you know, spotting.
- 41:46Speaker 1: YEA one fan tweeted a snapshot of her in the
- 41:54Speaker 1: baby aisle wearing an orange jumpsuit in some white sunglasses.
- 41:58Speaker 1: They wrote, anyone in Westwood Beyonce? Is that Target right now?
- 42:02Speaker 1: This is not a drill. This is not a drill. Yes,
- 42:07Speaker 1: So our question this hour. Would you shop at a
- 42:10Speaker 1: discount store like Target or Walmart even if you and
- 42:13Speaker 1: your spouse were worth a billion dollars? Yeah? Yeah? I
- 42:16Speaker 1: love Target? What I love Walmart? What not? Go to Walmart? Hop? Yeah? Absolutely? Also,
- 42:27Speaker 1: there is a survey that says we're uncomfortable dealing with
- 42:29Speaker 1: and talking about our finances. How uncomfortable Thirty two percent
- 42:34Speaker 1: would rather go down to the DMV than work on
- 42:38Speaker 1: a financial plan. Yeah. Twenty percent would rather spend an
- 42:44Speaker 1: hour in jail than come up with a five year
- 42:47Speaker 1: financial plan. Wow. Yeah, and a year in jail. What
- 42:52Speaker 1: an hour in jail? I mean five year financial plan.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Thirty four percent would rather post their most embarrassing photo
- 42:58Speaker 1: of themselves on social media then post a screenshot of
- 43:02Speaker 1: their account balances. Where are you and all of this? Steve, Oh,
- 43:06Speaker 1: we can put helicraft that financial stuff. I ain't going
- 43:09Speaker 1: to jail before an hour one hope with some money. Well,
- 43:15Speaker 1: it's something that you avoid. Just don't want to want
- 43:19Speaker 1: to deal with the budgeting. I don't. I don't like
- 43:22Speaker 1: the financial meetings I have to have. I don't like them.
- 43:25Speaker 1: My wife and I don't like, you know, and the
- 43:29Speaker 1: part I don't like because I yeah, but it's always
- 43:32Speaker 1: you know, you gotta hire people to watch over things
- 43:35Speaker 1: for you, because you know, when it's coming in from
- 43:37Speaker 1: a couple of different angles, you got to have people
- 43:39Speaker 1: keeping eye on it. And then you got to pay
- 43:41Speaker 1: these taxes, and you gotta make sure you're getting all
- 43:44Speaker 1: the write offs that you qualify for, you know, so
- 43:47Speaker 1: instead of just spending this money. What you do with
- 43:49Speaker 1: the money you gotta have receivet what was it? You know?
- 43:53Speaker 1: And all like you've been asking a lot of questions
- 43:55Speaker 1: I don't want to do because I don't let them
- 43:56Speaker 1: really ask me nothing about my money. See that's what
- 43:59Speaker 1: the SA say. Yeah, I really don't ask me what
- 44:02Speaker 1: I did with it. It's like coming out here to Vegas.
- 44:07Speaker 1: So I think you're part I withdraw cash to come here. Yeah,
- 44:10Speaker 1: you must be part of Steve. What they'd rather post
- 44:15Speaker 1: their most embarrassing picture of themselves in social media than
- 44:18Speaker 1: post a screenshot of their account balances? I think that's naked.
- 44:27Speaker 1: You're part of that group. Yeah, I'll be asked naked account?
- 44:37Speaker 1: What's going to happen? I really you be talking about
- 44:40Speaker 1: body parts? Look at this, but be disgusted. You don't
- 44:50Speaker 1: understand the big that's gonna be bad. God shot Steve Harvey?
- 44:56Speaker 1: Is that Steve all right? Yeah? So you're gonna try
- 45:02Speaker 1: to say you ain't got it right? Right, that's exactly
- 45:07Speaker 1: a se What about you, junior? What which which category
- 45:11Speaker 1: would you be in? You just started making money? I'll
- 45:14Speaker 1: show you I don't just got this man. You look
- 45:22Speaker 1: at this man. You want to see me six years ago? God?

- 45:36Speaker 1: hate to ask you which category would you be in?
- 45:39Speaker 1: I know you don't want to spend an hour in jail.
- 45:43Speaker 1: How many break accounts you got? Uh? Yeah? Serious? Eight?
- 45:49Speaker 1: I got eight? All right now? I got em all right,
- 45:54Speaker 1: A lot. Yeah, I ain't gonna put it up in

- 55:39Speaker 1: Here it is the Strawberry letter subject, I thought I
- 55:42Speaker 1: found the perfect man. Is there such a thing? We'll
- 55:47Speaker 1: find out all right, Dear Saton Shirley. I know I
- 55:50Speaker 1: am a hardworking, educated, financially secure, good looking, mature woman
- 55:56Speaker 1: with a lot to offer. But since my divorce, I've
- 55:59Speaker 1: been having trouble with dating because the men I meet
- 56:02Speaker 1: say that I have too many prerequisites and they lose interest.
- 56:07Speaker 1: My goal was to meet a man aged fifty five
- 56:09Speaker 1: to sixty five, but instead I finally met a man
- 56:13Speaker 1: that is seventy five years old. Oh it is five
- 56:16Speaker 1: years older than yesterday. Okay, he's retired and he's everything
- 56:21Speaker 1: that I looked for in a man. He's a sharp dresser,
- 56:24Speaker 1: good looking, financially stable, and he has good morals. In
- 56:29Speaker 1: the beginning, he wanted to come over every night and
- 56:31Speaker 1: get busy, but I still have to go to work,
- 56:35Speaker 1: so I had to cut him back to two to
- 56:36Speaker 1: three nights per week and Saturday. RE enjoy going out
- 56:42Speaker 1: together and we've even had a nice vacation together. There's
- 56:47Speaker 1: just one problem. He refuses to go to church with me.
- 56:51Speaker 1: This past Sunday he got mad at me and told
- 56:53Speaker 1: me to stop nagging him about church. I could easily
- 56:56Speaker 1: fall in love with this man, and we talk about
- 56:58Speaker 1: our future and getting married, but the church issue upsets me.
- 57:02Speaker 1: When we talk about marriage, I told him I could
- 57:04Speaker 1: never say yes if he does not say yes to
- 57:06Speaker 1: going to church. He told me that he will eventually
- 57:09Speaker 1: just show up one Sunday, but it will be on
- 57:11Speaker 1: his own terms, not because of my nagging. What advice
- 57:15Speaker 1: do you have for me? My sister says I'm acting
- 57:18Speaker 1: crazy and I should marry this man. She does not
- 57:21Speaker 1: think it's a big deal. By the way, he does
- 57:24Speaker 1: meet all of my other prerequisites. So what are your thoughts.
- 57:27Speaker 1: Your thoughts are that I My thoughts are that I
- 57:29Speaker 1: agree wholeheartedly with your sister. You can't nag him. Nobody
- 57:34Speaker 1: wants to be nagged. You don't want to be nagged.
- 57:39Speaker 1: He says he's going to show up to church on
- 57:41Speaker 1: his own terms. Let him do that, Okay, let him
- 57:44Speaker 1: do it in his own terms. He may, you know,
- 57:47Speaker 1: not like your church for some reason, or you know,
- 57:50Speaker 1: maybe it takes him a minute to get in the
- 57:52Speaker 1: spirit or whatever. Give him time. I mean, you guys
- 57:55Speaker 1: haven't even been together that long for you to be
- 57:59Speaker 1: making these kinds of demands. On him, and probably if
- 58:01Speaker 1: you'd let it go, he would show up to church
- 58:04Speaker 1: with you one day. Come on, now, I don't think
- 58:08Speaker 1: this is such a major issue that you have to
- 58:10Speaker 1: nag him and nag him and nag him about it.
- 58:13Speaker 1: This man is seventy five years old. You're a mature woman.
- 58:17Speaker 1: You didn't say your age. But anyway, so far it's
- 58:21Speaker 1: working out nicely. I mean, he's a good dresser, he's
- 58:24Speaker 1: good looking, financially stable. You said in your letter, he
- 58:28Speaker 1: has good morals. Okay, he has good morals. So I
- 58:33Speaker 1: think you're putting pressure on this man. I think just
- 58:36Speaker 1: smooth it out, weight a little bit, but definitely stop
- 58:38Speaker 1: nagging him or guess what, you're gonna lose him. I'm
- 58:41Speaker 1: gonna tell you nobody likes to be nagged. Steve Shirley
- 58:47Speaker 1: one thousand percent correct. I agree with her sister too.
- 58:51Speaker 1: What is this len about? Hell, both of y'all old,
- 58:58Speaker 1: both for y'all old, and the man. Now, you didn't
- 59:02Speaker 1: want to say your man, but you come talking about
- 59:04Speaker 1: you want a man between fifty five and sixty five.
- 59:06Speaker 1: Well he's seventy five, yeah, but he still looks he
- 59:10Speaker 1: don't want to go to church. He don't want to
- 59:14Speaker 1: go to church. He is sharp dresser, he looked good.
- 59:18Speaker 1: He treats you right. He checks off all the blockses
- 59:22Speaker 1: and blocks in every category. And you talking about they
- 59:25Speaker 1: talking about marriage. You can't say, he can't say. You
- 59:30Speaker 1: can't say yes to him unless he say yes till you,
- 59:34Speaker 1: till you going to church, to him going to church
- 59:36Speaker 1: with you. I have news for you. The reason I'm
- 59:38Speaker 1: talking like this is called a bit up all night
- 59:42Speaker 1: trying to put myself mine is a little congested. I
- 59:45Speaker 1: have to apologize again. Don't go there. I mind his
- 59:49Speaker 1: body frontic gambling the truth. Okay's Gary, say, what do
- 59:52Speaker 1: you mean you've been up all night doing what acting?
- 59:58Speaker 1: Christ see Schrley. You wasn't here. I'm in Las Vegas
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: at the convention. Oh okay, okay. Then she was late,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: so you didn't know that. He'd have been here on
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: town and you'd have known what's going on. Okay, I'm here,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: now go here. That's what you mean, you've been up
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: all night? Exactly what I mean? I'm in here catching hell.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: I should have been in the being with my old
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: seventy five. I don't know what the hell man, I
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: don't know what I was thinking about. But I can't
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: do this no more. I'm hurting sitting up in here.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Let's get back to the letter. He said, if he
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: don't want to go to church, you nagging him to
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: go to church. Now, I have personal experience with this.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: My father didn't go to church much. He didn't. This
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: is true. My mother and father were married for sixty
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: folk years, wow, six time. I remember. My father would
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: go twice a year, sometimes on Easter and sometimes Christmas
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: or Mother's Day. My dad would go a couple of
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: times a year. He went a little bit more later on,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: but my dad was never much of a church gore.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: My dad was wanting to find this man I ever
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: knew because he liked this man, saying, you say he's
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: very moral. My father was a righteous man. He was
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: righteous man. This dude, he was just a good dude.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: Now you're gonna pass up on this man, like your
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: sisters say, you being crazy? First of all, how are
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: you gonna when you're gonna find another one of these
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: shop dressing We're all meaning seventy five year old men
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: that ain't got nobody, They not everywhere. How you found
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: this one is beyond me? Or how he found you
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: is beyond me. I do not know, but I'll tell
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: you what though, you better stay with this man. If
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: I was you. Now when we come back, I'm gonna
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: take a different approach to why I think he don't
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: want to go to church. All right, all right, we'll
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: let burn two if thieves respond coming out on chill,
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: who are your past? Yeah? So yeah. The subject of
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter today, I thought sales sermons on tape
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: after services heard. I thought I thought I found the
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: perfect man. Part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve, let's
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry Letter. Subject I thought I found the
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: perfect man. Hello, this letter is simple. What I told you.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: I'm tired. Now listen to me, mad what you did?
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: I'm on a delay. Come on, damn it, I'm on
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: a delay. Not my system. Your stuff is working fine?
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm on Steve Harvey gosh, mentally on a delay.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: You was just sleep strayed up all night long. But
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: like I'm farting, It hurts, don't it hurt? Remember when
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: you were to sleep on the air that time. I
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: can't do it. When you fell a sleeping the owned
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: while we was on the half. Yeah, when his shoes off,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: one shoe on. But wait, did you hear him? SA,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: that was some good sleep, Mike. I had them head
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: sets on. They were so damn loud, I said, straight up.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: I looked at him to white men. I didn't even
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: know where they came from, but I yelled. I was
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: like Steve were he was doing an interview. He was
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: doing an interview with some of our clients. Oh, dad
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: saw me counting cards at the Steve coming back to
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: the letter though seventy five years old, this simple, this
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: lady Dayton, this man, he said everything, and she's ever
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: wanted man seventy five shot dropping still sleeping within all
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: this hill, get busy whenever you want to. But he
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: don't want to go church with It's just that what's
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: wrong with the church. Though, now we're gonna get into that.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: My father didn't go to church much either, So that
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: don't make you a bad person. You could be very
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: righteous person not be an attendee of church. But now
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: you're saying you've talked about marriage with him, but if
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: he can't say yes to going to church, you can't
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: say yes to getting married. Well, he keeps he's pretty
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: adamant that you nagging him about this church. Maybe he
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: don't won't go to your church? Yes? Fine? Now, first question?
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: Does your church sail the sermon on CD or audio
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: after service? A lot of churches? Has he heard a
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: see everybody? Pastor k't preach? This is true? See what
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I Maybe he don't want to sit up there out
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: of that dry sermon? What type of church you? Is it? Methodists?
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: That don't matter? Do it that? No? I'm just asking
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: a question because it's if it's Methodist, ain't no drums?
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: He didn't tabourines? All good tars? She's an okay? Well,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: whatever it is. Maybe your pastor is dry. Unless here's
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: another thing. Maybe what's the name of yok dry head? Oh?
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Maybe your pastors dry? Now here's the next question. What's
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: the name of your choir? What do you mean? What
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: do you mean if it's got one of them names
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: that mean they don't sound like the gospel? Song birds?
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Don't nobody, They don't never sound good. What's your old
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: crows up there? The song birds? They got crazy raw?
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Ye not with you? Don't nobody want to sit through that? Now,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: don't nobody don't know. I just wanted to see how
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: I can phrase this and call and let me say, yeah, careful.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: I don't think your pastor and your choir is up
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: to part. That's all I have to say. And I
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: think that that's just been demoralizing for them to have
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: to sit through the services that you're doing. Next question,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: it's your churchill stole front next to a liquor store. See,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: maybe he's a form of alcoholic. He can't go down
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: that next to that licor Stoke and sit down and
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: try to make it. Maybe it's a zoning zoning issue
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: with the church and the in those zonn in issues
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: in the hood this licor Stoke check cashing players church
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Deycilly and the motail motail or dey kill check cashing
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: place or churches oh yeah chicken yeah then, or somebody
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: selling chickens. This answer to this is all over the
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: place because I've been up all the night. Kind of
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: apologize for this response to the strawberry Little Steve Rob
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: gotta do you boo now he was crazy today Tomorrow
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: I got to be at work. I gotta do three
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: shows man talk shows. Okay, so so at some point
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: you need to get some sleep, is what you're saying.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: Excuse me, Shirley, Steve, what is the advice to the
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: lady that wrote the letter? I'm trying to get it
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: out of him. Yeah, her chas go to the chicken
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: house and he just knock coming. Stop nagging him. What
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: to tell her? He ain't going down. He's got to
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: stop nagging him though. That's a good point she's got to.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: I would say, don't wear about it because man, let
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: me tell you something, it's hard to find good man
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: and he's a good man. He righteous. He just don't
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: go to church much. Now he may eventually like my
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: father due my father ended up going to church quite often.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: But you know she didn't do it on it. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: that's true. All right, Well, thank you, Steve. Uh email

- 1:11:08Speaker 1: they got him, they got him, They got little Sure.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: First of all, Pelosi ain't no Joe. But no she's not.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: I love she ain't cracking, no smile. She came back
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: with a vengeance. Held to the n to the double. No, no, no,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: you ain't getting no money for this. What did you say, Junior?
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Who do you say they was? You? Who you said
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: it was? Ok? You said they? That's Joe Friday. That's Joe.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: That's drag that right there. That's what's the other dude
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: that was with Joe Friday. The other dude Morgan, Harry Morgan.
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: That went to play on mash That's that's Joe Friday
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: right now. Oh listen, man, what I should have did
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: my mother to call me and my mother old school
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: shows right there, but they listen to me. They ain't
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: giving him no rhythm. President Trump should have did everything
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: he had to do when he had control of the
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: House and the Senate. They ain't giving him no love.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: And that new dude that they got in the ball
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: that they about to put into the Justice apology, Oh
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: he hadn't already said, I'm cool with Muller. Whatever he
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: trying to do, I'm trying to hear it. So this
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: ain't gonna go the way he think. The Agent Orange
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: is out the building, Commander and cheat old ain't happening
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: no more if it's done, baby. And I'm a Republican.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: And when Republicans start bailing on each other, it's over, baby.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: And they're bailing on each other. They bailing. So what
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: are you saying, Ryl, What's what's going on? Well, I'm
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: gonna tell you what I think gonna happen. I think
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: they building the legal case. See how they got Richard
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Nixon to resign with the Watergate. He went to the
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: Senate and they said, we don't have the vote to
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: save you from this impeachment, so he resigned. I believe
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: Trump's is going to resign to save his family because
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: all of this. I'm going to jail, all his friends
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: going to jail, and he gonna go to jail. You
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: think he's going to resign, Cheryl, Yeah, girl, he gonna
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: quar Donald True gonna resign in twenty nineteen. Do you
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: know why Muller is not talking? And he looked just
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: like the boy off Law and Order Jny looked like
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: the talk with that white man name. He looked just
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: like him. It's over, it's done. Yeah, I thought he
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: was still alive. No, no, yeah, he's still like way
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: let me tell old the dude that used to be
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: the song and dance man that was in guys and towns,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: he's the one going down baby, but way man, hold on,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: hold on, I got questions. What kind of lace front
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: are we wearing? Now? Listen, y'all know I got the
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: shiny boss spot in the front. So I need to
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: know how was Usher usher? And he he got his
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: head done too. Let me tell you, I need to
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: know what they using? Is they? What are they using
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: cremin nature. Yeah, so for eight what are they are?
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: They're using afrocheen. The head is thick and beautiful when
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: they walk bringing back Pimppet, Pippet, Pimpet Fried Die late
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: to the side. I need to know what they use.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: You don't have to be balls. Well, well, I don't
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: have no choice nothing. No, I have nothing to hang on. No,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: you got to have something to hang on in the
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: front because when you I don't sweat, but I do
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: get the vapors and that brings so you don't hold
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: it down enough, so it lay down, then it rolled up.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: So now I need to know what usher is using.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: Flush your hands. Cute and young job. You see this yao?
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: When he first Yeah, I like now Nick Cannon, Nick
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Canna was on ourselves he cut his hair off. Yeah,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: but I like that. I like that that curl that
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: that was hanging down, you know, like he was off
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: Cottage Grove. He looked like one of the dudes that
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: be hanging out at the Guyfather. You know how to
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: go back to Chicago. Listen to me, Steve Harvey. Yeah,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: the Filipino girl wanted to miss Universe. Yeah, all the
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: Filipino every Filipino. I know. So I thought the girl
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: from South Africa was going yeah, yeah, yeah, Yeah, she
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: did a thing. She was fabulous, but she fumbled at
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: the head at the end. Yeah, her question. She fumbled
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: it and I think that cost her. That's what they
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: could have easily given it to Miss Venezuela. Though she
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: was gorgeous. Yeah she was. She looked good. Yes, you know, Steve,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: you don't brought it back. I tell you the Steve,
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: I told you we was not watching Miss Universe. Last
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: time we watched was in the mid seventy when that
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: black girl won from Trinidad Tobago, that dodskinned black girl.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: They commencing on she won, And now we watch every
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: year because Steve, you make the show. You you make
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: the show. I mean, the women are beautiful, but we're
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: really watching for you. No, no, yeah, I'll be watching
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: to see the outfit. No, the jacket. I was getting
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: ready to say that jacket, that black Velvets shirts, that
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: bling on it. What I say, sir, about to say
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: something about it. That was a nice job. Listen to me, Steve.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: I need I need a thirty five wide but for
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: the day time, I mean I need a forty two
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: wide Steves like getting getting them buttons around my stomach.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: That was a cold jacket, white cold. That was cold
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: blooded jacket. Yeah, I need a forty two wide right
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: in the middle of the world. I hope they do
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: it in the South Africannection. Oh, I'm gonna go to that.

- 1:17:14Speaker 1: good meat at your birthday. Body all right. Coming up
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: to the top of the hour, Kyla's Reality Update right
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, Cheryl. We had to
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: bring you back in because you talked about a lot
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: of stuff, but you did not hit Chicago Homie. R Kelly, Oh,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: let me chase. I'm Shunley Scrawberries. I was trying to
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: restrain myself, but I have a personal story I want
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: to hit. Yeah, I was talking to R. Kelly in
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: the latest bathroom of the Copper Box. Shuny Strawberry, don't
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: look at me, craz in the Copper Box. That's right
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: right off on the Wild Wilde undress and I knew
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: he was a tripped in. I was singing with a
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: band called Platinum Touch. Tommy Touch, Yeah, that's the name
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: of the band. Juniors, was Platinum Touch. You were thinking
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: with the band for real, Steve, And I was singing, Uh,
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: what's the song You're gonna make me love somebody else?
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: But that's the Jones girls. If you keep on treating
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: me the way you do. Yea, I sang my song,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: you know, and after I, you know, kept drinking that
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: crown row. I had to go to the bathroom. So
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: I went to the bathroom. Was Ara Kelly, Yes, And
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: I knew he was strange then, because you know they
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: have peppermint, they have deodorant they have. I said, what
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: is You're gonna catch me? Caller? Catch me Reddy? Ready?
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: And what is your black ass doing? Okay? Now people say, well,
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: why is his music going up? Because people have a
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: more of a curiosity. Now, Agnition was the cut, but
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: we all knew something wrong with this negro when he
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: made seemed like he ready and twelve play because that
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: ignorant right now, let him tell you what they need
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: to do, not listen. He got away with it because
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: I think Now this is my personal opinion. They paid
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: off everybody so that they wouldn't do what they need
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: to do. That's what I believe, and I believe this
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: is a colt. I'm telling the truth. Listen, it's common
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: is right that the community we let the girls down.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: Immunity let the girl down. I love John Legend. Now
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: he might sing soft and lovable, but he hard as
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: a mug. Because John Legends say, I'd have had no
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: compulsion to pull back on him. I wasn't supporting that.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: So you're gonna do the crime and the time deca
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: gonna Yeah, that's that's I know. I just think that
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: he is, you know, I think for me, just being honest,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: I was completely stunned watching this thing as me when
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: people go I knew, I knew. Well, if you knew
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: that and your aunts didn't do nothing, it's something wrong
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: with you. You just like the people that worked for him.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: Sitting up there in black shadow and all that, I
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: used to see him come here with don why don't
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: you do nothing? I can honestly say I had no
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: idea it was of this magnitude. Had I known this,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: I promise you I would have done something because I'm
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: that type of dude. Man, Well, I don't care who
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: you are. No, I don't care who you are, how
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: who we are? That's right, But that is no way,
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: and I feel like common and I feel like so
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: many black men feel today. We feel like we let
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: so many women down. And a black man, I take
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: responsible responsibility for that, even though I didn't know how,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: didn't we know? But see what would? But what I'm
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: gonna tell you, honest to God, true, when you go
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: to people and they being brainwashed and they got Stockholm syndrome,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: even if you say you don't need to be about
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: this life so odd that you will let this happen,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: and then people denying that it ever happened the family na, no, no, no,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: no no, because now we provide the out because we're
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: saying that you know you, you knew and you was
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: grown and family members. No, I'm saying that this dude
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: right here, for what he did, his ass deserves to
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: ask whipping for brainwashing them, Yes, making them feel some
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: kind of way for destroying their selfis for taking advantage
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: of for using them pokass mentality on all these sisters.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: That's what I'm baby, didn't even see his ass. Listen.
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: I didn't even see him doing it to him like that,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: and I wish I had him because I would have
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: done something. Now, what would you have done, Steve? All
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: I can tell you is it wouldn't have been illegal. Well,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: let me tell you something. I think that it got
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: to go further than this. You got to cut I
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: believe I can fly out of space jam. You gotta
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: lose the contract at RCA. See, people don't take this serious.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: Un tell you if them in the pocket, then the pot.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: You gotta hit him in the pocket. But I'm gonna
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: tell you something from the things that I knew and
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: the things that I saw, and when I would say,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: you know what that that girl looked kind of young?
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: What is that? What is what is that going on?
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: If people don't listen to you, all you're doing is
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: talking to somebody with syl Get up out of here,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: I will, okay, But that's that's a child and then
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: the family members. I'm not giving him a pass. I'm
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: just saying we as a culture need to stop doing
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: it to ourselves. You need to stop wanting to be
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: famous so bad that you bring your child's child over that,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: or you don't want to admit that it even happened,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: knowing good damn well, you had a marriage license that
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: you had to acknowledge. But you would say, oh, make
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: my child famous, let my child go backstage. Me and
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: Leslie Jones telling R Kelly jokes back then, trying to
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: get it out. But all I can say is using
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: your kids as your day meal tick. That's it's right.
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: That gave them a chance to grow up and develop
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: where they can make smarter decisions. That's right. Most child
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: stars in this business, Shirley. You notice, for fast, most
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: child stars, when that little cute period that little characters go,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: they have a dismal life because they've been coddled and
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: they don't know the realities of life, so they've never
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: been given the real shot of life. Then they grow up,
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: they ain't cute them all, But when you're farting, they
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: don't mean the damn thing. See Emmanuel Lewis took himself
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: and went to college. In school, Emmanuel Lewis went on
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: with his life. The average child star does not pick
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: up the pieces. Well. And when we take our children
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: and push them into the business, because that's their ticket.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: They want to be famous and rich. Caused the parrot.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: The parents won't that too, sending a pout. She's seventeen
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: talking about if y'all don't let me, I'm gonna just
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: do this. Well, i'll tell you what. You're gonna do
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: it with the skin off your ass? How about there?
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: You know, and you can't even talk about, you know
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: what we would normally do. You can't talk about corporate punishment. Now,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: you can't talk about who has a responsibility for an
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: underaged child because that's how he started. They may have
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: been grown women by the time this story came out,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: you know, and people knew what was going on, and
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: people worked with him. But why aren't people talking All
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: the people that worked with him that wouldn't didn't want
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: to talk about it on camera. I'm gonna say this,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: and I'm gonna end with this because they were black
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: and it was a different socio economic background. Look how
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: long this was allowed. Let's let's be real. Yeah, let's
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: be real. We need to stop killing each other. We
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: need to start having respect for each other, and we
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: need to look out for each other. That jail house
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: justice is no joke. No Jo, You're right, Thank you
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: so much. We appreciate that so much. Wow, that kind
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: of put it all into perspective. Yeah, switch gears. Here
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: Carla standing by with the first reality update for the
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: year for the one nine. All right, oh yeah, we're
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: coming back with Carla's reality update. Right after this. You're
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: listening to Steven show. Our girl, Carla is here with
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: our first reality update of the year of the one nine. Carla,
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: what you got girl? Get ready to get ready? Get ready?
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: Get ready? It is Reality Update twenty nineteen. I introduced her. Shirley,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: you don't do that. Okay, Oh but you you're coming
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: here late. Now, you're coming here late. You don't even
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: know who you intro now this okay, many stupid Thank you, Shirley,
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew. And wait a minute, Steve, you here
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: for it? What'd you say? Oh? You know this is
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: what I'm here for. All right, let's go with I'm
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: an expert in reality okay for real? You created reality radio? Remember, yes,
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: who I mean? Is I mean? All right? I am?
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: I don't know Real Housewives of Atlanta Kinda that's kind
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: of slow. I'm just struggling a little bit with the show.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: But here we go again. Candy and Porsche. They're beefing
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: Porsche was invited to Todd's birthday party. Candy and Todd.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: She threw her birthday party for her husband. Porsche came
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: to the birthday party. Porsche's current baby daddy, her current
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: baby daddy, his ex girlfriend was there. The ex girlfriend
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: was all talking to him and they were a little
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: too closed. Porsche was like, what's going on? What's happening?
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: Kids on the cheek? Long story short, Candy's crew kind
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: of threw Porsche out the party, and Porsche was upset.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: She texts Candy about it, and Candy was like, I
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: get back with you. I'm gonna see what's going on.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: Blah blah blah blah. So Candy didn't really see what happened,
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: but her crew updated her and told her what went
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: down at the party. I'm gonna tell you about that,
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: but first I want to tell you about Cynthia and
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: Mike Hill because you introduced them, right, Mike and Cynthia Bailey.
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: Mike Hill, Yeah, so he came into town and uh,
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: you know, they're dating long distance and they've been dating
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: for a while. And Nini and Greg though they're still
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: friends with Cynthia's ex Peter Peter, Yes, Papa s yeah,
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: Peter got yeah. So Peter came by the house and they're,
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: you know, Nini and Gregg right now on team Peter.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: So it's awkward. Yeah, it's awkward, right right, right, right right.
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: So she was wondering what's he gonna pop the question.
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: He did ask her to be his lady. So it
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: was like, they're exclusive now, so when you go with me?
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. So she was like wamp.
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: So they're really exclusive now. So you know, Cynthia's happy.
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: Leading up to that, they had this Habachi grill party,
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: Eva and all them through the party. So here comes
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: Candy and Porscha. Oh right, So they have to really
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: talk since Porsche got thrown out the birthday party. So
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: that's why I had to lead back out to that.
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: Porsche told Nannie and Cynthia that she was pregnant, that
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: she's expecting, so but Candy doesn't know this. So yeah,
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: they're at the party and they're talking and they're at
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: the one of the other new cast members there at
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: her house. I can't think her name right now. I
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: think it's tunt Tanya, but anyway, they're at her house
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: and so it just got heated and it Candy, you know,
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: just real quickly, Candy and Porsche they're beef and they're
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: arguing with each other and so, and I agree with
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: what Cynthia was saying. Candy doesn't know that Porsche's pregnant.
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: But Porsche, you know you pregnant. So calm all that
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: down and all that yelling and should do though? What
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: did they? What did she do? They said that she
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: was causing drama, But Portione was like, her point to
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: Candy was you're my friend, so you should have followed
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: up and said what happened? You know what happened? Why
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: did you get thrown out the party? And so Porsche
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: felt like Candy wasn't her friend, and Candy was like whatever,
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: you know, it just got ugly. But anyway, we gotta
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: go hit me up at lips by Carlo. We can
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: talk more about it. You're listening to show all right?
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: Tomorrow morning, guys, make sure you tune into the Steve
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show because Kevin Hart. Kevin Hart will be
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: our very special guest host tomorrow. Come on cap anybody
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: see his interview. I saw a little part of it.
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: Good Morning America, Good Morning America with Michael Strahand with
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: Michael Strahan. One thing he said that I loved, and
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: he said it repeatedly throughout the interview. I'm done with it.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: I'm done with this. I'm moving on. I'm done with it.
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: So what do you have to say about this, Kevin?
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: I'm say this, I'm done with What about this? About
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: the whole you know, Oscar controversy, you know, with the
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: the gay statements he had made back back back in
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: The man apologized sometime yea, and recently apologized, Yes, that's
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: why you said. He's done. But he'll be with us
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: tomorrow to drop it up. Steve. Yeah, but he's all
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: gonna talk about that. I can tell you that based
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: on that interview, he's done. We're gonna have fun, he said,
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: because it's never enough, he said, it's never ever enough.
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: All right, So we'll talk about that. We'll also talk
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: about Kevin's new movie. It's called The Upside with Brian Crans.
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: That looks good. Yeah, that looks really good. So join
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: us tomorrow morning for Kevin Hart and in other news
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: Steve Um entertainment news. Many women. I know everybody wears
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: a lace front wig from time to time. Yeah, I'm
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: gay to color my hair, you'll wearing well, you're wearing well,
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: thank you. I mean, you know, but apparently Meek Mill,
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: who knew? I know you? Yeah, you don't. If if
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: they're done right, you don't know. That's the thing, Steve.
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: If they're done right, you don't. If you don't take
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: it off in front of me, I just don't know.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm not upset about problem, but technically
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: it ain't none exactly as long as you know what
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: I'm saying. If you're not my woman, right, I can't
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: comment on what you're doing with your hair, right. But
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: he's not my woman, miss Mill. Steve said lace front
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: wigs are whack. I'm protesting them. Uh, and after being
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: trolled me issued this response, I'm sorry. I just had
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: a few bad lace experiences that traumatized me. He said,
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: you ever get food poisoning from eating something and never
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: want to eat it again? He said, that's the same feeling.
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: That it's the same feeling. He said, I'm off Twitter.
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: I'm still not ready for Okay, let me someone explain
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: lace front to me. Okay, lace front, how they make them?
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: They put like um hair, weave hair or wig hair
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: on top of you know, what a piece of like
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: um nylons holes, yeah, different, Yeah, and they and it
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: matches your skin colors, so you can't tell where the
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: wig begins and your skin ends. And they do it
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: really good. They do it really well. Okay, but if
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: you can tell, it's probably where meek head exactly. Yeah,
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: that's exactly. Oh like if your starts back up your head,
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: you know, or it's too far down on your forehead,
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: or you made your point. Yes, I kind of think
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: I know where he's going. Too much baby hair something
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: he don't if your lace front don't match the hand
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: that showing, if your lace front ain't that only had
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: this in the front. All right, Steve coming up our
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: last break of the day, and Steve's closing remarks right
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: after this at forty nine, after you're listening out the gate. Steve,
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: you were so powerful with your first closing remark for us,
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: and it's Monday, it's past Monday, and it's trending now
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: and people are just into it and we thought it'd
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: be good. You know, if you do that again, I mean, well,
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: we're gonna play it now. Oh God, we want it
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: again because I want to hear it, because you know,
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: I don't write closing remarks down. I just do them
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: from the heart, top of my head and my heart
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: because I like for people to listen to me as
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: i'm thinking. You know, I don't want people. I don't
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: want to be scripted with people. So this is a
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: this is a redo of what I did. I hope
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: you enjoyed. You'll have a great weekend case thinking about it.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: And as always, as we set out on these new years,
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: people have a tendency to make resolutions. I don't. I
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: don't make resolutions for the new year because as soon
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: as I think of what I want to do to
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: improve myself, I don't wait to start improving at the
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: beginning of the year. I start on Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: I started August twenty second. It don't matter when the
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: moment I think. So I used to do resolutions by
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: don't do them anymore because life is too short to
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: wait till the start of the year to begin. But
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: how about if we look at it this way. Since
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: God has afforded you this incredible opportunity called life, and
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: we are all here, and even against all the odds,
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: we somehow made it to twenty nineteen. I want to
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: say this to you. You have a say soul in
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: how your year ago. You have a say soul in
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: how your year ago. You do not have to sit
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: here and just played by ear. You have choices, You
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: have decisions. You have the right to view it positively
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: or negatively. You have the right to view your glass
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: as have full or have empty. You have the right
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: to accept righteousness or evil. You have the choice. That's
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: the beauty about being a human. God. When he created
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: us as creatures, as creators. As he created us as creatures,
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: he gave us, as the human creature, the only one
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: that has the power of choice in all areas of life.
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: We can choose when we mate, where we live, how
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: we live, who we mate with, where we stay, what
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: we wear, how we dress, the climate we live in.
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: Look polar. Bears have to live in polar regions. Penguins
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: have to live. Fish have to live in the ocean.
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: It's the way it is. Bears got to be in woods.
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: That's how to. We can go live on the desert,
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: we can live on the mountaintop. We get choices. Two
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: nineteen is your year to make better choices. If you
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: weren't happy with the way two eighteen went for you.
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: You have a decision to me, you can change your
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: thought process, and by changing your thought process, you can
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: change outcome. Now listen to this. You can't do anything
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: about everything that happens to you, as nothing you can
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: do about what's going to happen to you, But you
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: can do something about every single thing that happens to you.
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: You can have the attitude so when it happens to you,
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: it does not destroy you. You've got to stop letting
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: mishaps that come along in your life wipe you out
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: and cause you to paul so long that you no
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: longer in perpetual forward motion and you wind up stuck
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: on stupid. You have a choice to accept everything as
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: a child of God, to say, you know what, He
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: probably got something better for me. For example, they're gonna
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: close the door on me in two thousand nineteen. You
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: think I'm tripping about that. They're already told me they
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: probably gonna close this door me in two thousand nineteen.
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: All that means for me is God has another door
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: for me to open, for me to walk through. He
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: gonna open another door. These people that make these decisions
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: at these networks and stuff they don't control my life.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: They controlled that little piece of section over there. I
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: got the rest of it. I'm God in charging me.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: So every door that closes for you in two nineteen,
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: if you understand that, that allows for an opportunity for
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: another door to open. Maybe I need someone to rest.
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: Maybe I'll be working too hall. Maybe this is his
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: way of saying, Hey, Pardner, you're gonna slow down. I'm
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: gonna help you slow down. I ain't fin the fall.
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: I ain't gonna have to sell nothing, I ain't gonna
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: lose nothing. But I've learned to accept God's will and
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: understand that everything that happened to me happens to me
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: for my good and my betterment, because the God I
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: serve didn't bring me this far to leave me. You
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: tell me, why would God lift you to the height
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: that he got you too just to see you fall?
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: That's not the God be served, That's not God. Don't
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: let nobody deceive you. That ain't God. When something happens
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: in your life, it's an opportunity, man. That's all twenty
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: nineteen is. It's gonna be a series of opportunities. When
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: they tell you no, it's going to create another opportunity.
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: If they tell you your counsel, it's going to create
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: another opportunity. If they tell you, well, we don't think so.
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: It's because they don't know. You think I care about
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: somebody telling me how they feel about me, or show
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: our God they didn't think they made me? Then people
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: didn't make me. Man. That just give me the opportunity
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: to go do something else. I ain't gonna sit around
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: me wonder trip about what you're gonna do with me.
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: I know how to forge and pray and earn and
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: work for other opportunities. This ain't the only country. I'm global.
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: The God I serve is in a nationale. See that's
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: what I know. Don't let two thousand nineteen get by
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: you without understand that you have a say soul and
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: just how it go. So come on, man, get your
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: attitude right, keep talking to God, pray, ask for guidance
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: and assistance, and see if God don't show you the way.
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: That's how you get through two thy nineteen. That's how
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: we got through eighteen. Thought you wasn't gonna make you better?
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: I got to go, y'all have a nice weekend for all.
