- 2:10Speaker 1: One and only Steve Arvey got a radio show, man
- 2:13Speaker 1: on man o man something going on real good today.
- 2:18Speaker 1: You ought to feel blessed today. The fact that God
- 2:20Speaker 1: woke you up and gave you another opportunity. You know,
- 2:23Speaker 1: every day you wake up, it's another chance. It's a
- 2:26Speaker 1: chance for all of us to get better, to get
- 2:28Speaker 1: it right, to get on the right path, to stop
- 2:32Speaker 1: heading the wrong way. Every day you wake up, that's
- 2:34Speaker 1: your opportunity. See, because he's gonna keep waking you up
- 2:38Speaker 1: because he has a plan for you. You know, I
- 2:42Speaker 1: don't know, h you know, I don't, I don't. I
- 2:48Speaker 1: don't know. When he makes his call and you know
- 2:51Speaker 1: who gets called home when I can't explain it, I
- 2:53Speaker 1: don't have that answer. I'm not him, I'm not God.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I don't claim to be. I don't. I don't understand
- 2:59Speaker 1: it all so times. But God has an amazing way.
- 3:03Speaker 1: But as long as he's waking you up, I do
- 3:05Speaker 1: know this, God ain't through with you yet. God has
- 3:08Speaker 1: a plan for you. Your job is to identify identify
- 3:13Speaker 1: the plan. You know. That's that's clearly what I need
- 3:16Speaker 1: for you to do. You know, um oftentimes the thing
- 3:20Speaker 1: that you're looking for, it's right there inside of you.
- 3:25Speaker 1: You know. I can't tell you how many people I meet.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Mister Harvey, mister Hart, speak to you for a minute. Yeah, Man,
- 3:31Speaker 1: what's up with you? Man? I was just wondering. Man,
- 3:34Speaker 1: I've been trying to and I want to know, man,
- 3:36Speaker 1: can you give me a good agent? Can you give
- 3:39Speaker 1: me a good lawyer? Can you give me a good Now? Look,
- 3:43Speaker 1: if you got some legal problems, I understand you're gonna
- 3:45Speaker 1: need some help right there. But the majority of questions
- 3:48Speaker 1: I get asked is about their future, about their place
- 3:51Speaker 1: in this world, about their mission, about what they're trying
- 3:54Speaker 1: to do, how they're trying to figure out and then
- 3:57Speaker 1: how to go about doing it. But the answer I'm
- 4:00Speaker 1: must remind all of you is always within yourself. It
- 4:04Speaker 1: starts right there. See a lot of people burn up
- 4:07Speaker 1: a lot of time looking around trying to find someone.
- 4:11Speaker 1: If I could just meet them, if I could just
- 4:14Speaker 1: get on her show. Man, if all, if I could
- 4:18Speaker 1: just get to his show, I beating made It's not
- 4:23Speaker 1: That's not necessarily the case. Because see, just like every
- 4:27Speaker 1: time you put your put your faith in a person
- 4:32Speaker 1: or an event or currens or some type of thing
- 4:36Speaker 1: that you imagine yourself being, and then that'll do it
- 4:38Speaker 1: for you. Imagine of all the people who've made it
- 4:41Speaker 1: without you know, I look at everybody telling man, if
- 4:44Speaker 1: I could get on so and so show, that will
- 4:46Speaker 1: do it for me. Man, somebody else got on that
- 4:48Speaker 1: show and they blew up. Man, if I could just
- 4:50Speaker 1: make it to that show, do you know how many
- 4:52Speaker 1: people have made it without that? So see, when you
- 4:55Speaker 1: start focusing in on what your idea of how to
- 4:59Speaker 1: make it is, and your idea of how to make
- 5:02Speaker 1: it does not include your relationship with God, you're spending
- 5:06Speaker 1: your wills. Man, It's a vicious cycle you're in now
- 5:09Speaker 1: and I'm asking everybody to get out of that cycle,
- 5:12Speaker 1: get out of looking for someone and something. The answer
- 5:16Speaker 1: is within you. God resides in you. That burning thing
- 5:20Speaker 1: that you have that you just can't get out your head.
- 5:24Speaker 1: That's a seed. God planet that that. That's a seed.
- 5:28Speaker 1: It needs watering, nurturing, fertilizing, and that's what it needs.
- 5:32Speaker 1: It didn't it. Don't ever say, man, I need that
- 5:35Speaker 1: other person right there now. Now, people you will meet.
- 5:37Speaker 1: That a compliment you, and I can assure you that
- 5:40Speaker 1: God will put you in the right place at the
- 5:42Speaker 1: right time. I'm almost certain that God will introduce you
- 5:46Speaker 1: to everybody you need to be introduced to to make
- 5:49Speaker 1: it to wherever it is. You all are trying to
- 5:51Speaker 1: get to him. Talking about you and God now, But
- 5:54Speaker 1: the moment you're taking into your own hands and you
- 5:57Speaker 1: make the decision as to who you got to get
- 5:59Speaker 1: to just clouded and muddied the waters. See God's plan
- 6:04Speaker 1: for you don't really need your help. It needs your attention,
- 6:10Speaker 1: it needs your focus, it needs your faith, and it
- 6:13Speaker 1: needs your hard work. But it needs you to listen.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Needs you to listen more than anything. Listen, keep the
- 6:22Speaker 1: faith and be willing to work your tail off. I
- 6:26Speaker 1: don't know how you think it can happen any other way,
- 6:29Speaker 1: But then again I do because I try to make
- 6:32Speaker 1: it another way. So I had to come to the conclusion,
- 6:36Speaker 1: Hey man, listen here, dog, this ain't working for you.
- 6:40Speaker 1: You gotta get some more God, here, man, listen to me.
- 6:44Speaker 1: The answer was always within me, the moment I sat
- 6:49Speaker 1: down with myself and told myself the truth that a
- 6:53Speaker 1: partner you ain't really all that they a partner, regardless
- 6:57Speaker 1: as to what people are seeing and stuff. You ain't happy.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Hey Pardner, this really ain't about you. Hey Pardner, you
- 7:04Speaker 1: really ain't all that good at this. God is keeping
- 7:08Speaker 1: you for a reason. Okay, hold up, Steve, quit tripping.
- 7:12Speaker 1: What I need to do. I just started talking to
- 7:14Speaker 1: myself and then I heard Bishop Jake's say a couple
- 7:18Speaker 1: of things. Then I was watching TV. I heard Joel
- 7:20Speaker 1: Oldstein say a couple of things, and I went wild, man, Okay, cool,
- 7:25Speaker 1: that's pretty slick. I'm gonna try that. And when I
- 7:27Speaker 1: did it, it changed my life. I am telling you, man,
- 7:31Speaker 1: it has been God this whole time, and the God
- 7:35Speaker 1: has been residing inside of me, just like the God
- 7:38Speaker 1: resides on the inside of you. That's him talking to you,
- 7:42Speaker 1: telling you, man, you are to get it together. Man
- 7:45Speaker 1: making you feel bad. It's sending you on guilt trips,
- 7:48Speaker 1: you knowing you wrong and you out there wrong, and
- 7:50Speaker 1: something telling you you all not do it. Here's how
- 7:54Speaker 1: you know. It's God. And Bishop Olmer taught me this
- 7:57Speaker 1: in his book He's Got I can't think of the
- 8:00Speaker 1: name of it right now, but it's a really good book.
- 8:03Speaker 1: But it says in that man. Bishop Alma was talking
- 8:06Speaker 1: in this book and he was saying, the way you
- 8:09Speaker 1: know is not God's voice. It's if it ain't no
- 8:13Speaker 1: sin in it. See how many times have you made
- 8:17Speaker 1: up in your mind, I'm gonna show this person or
- 8:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna show that person. I'm gonna get this person back.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You hurt me, I'm gonna hurt you. You know the
- 8:26Speaker 1: Lord don't like ugly. I'll show you well, the Lord
- 8:30Speaker 1: don't like ugly. But no way in that doesn't safe
- 8:32Speaker 1: for you to go show them. It doesn't say that. See,
- 8:38Speaker 1: so when you strike out on that mission, you know
- 8:41Speaker 1: the God knows in my heart I loved you, but
- 8:43Speaker 1: I got to do this because you did me. Whoa
- 8:45Speaker 1: whoa ain't got nothing? To do with God right there,
- 8:48Speaker 1: you can take him out of it. If it's God,
- 8:51Speaker 1: has no sin in it. So anytime somebody come to
- 8:55Speaker 1: me talking about the Lord told me to do this
- 8:59Speaker 1: to you and it's the only reason I'm doing it,
- 9:01Speaker 1: you need to get yourself right with God. I heard
- 9:03Speaker 1: all them threats right there. That ain't God talking to
- 9:06Speaker 1: me through you. What are you crazy? If it's God,
- 9:10Speaker 1: it has no sin in it. So you got to
- 9:12Speaker 1: be careful man, when you're talking to people and we're
- 9:14Speaker 1: gonna go down here and we're gonna do this because
- 9:16Speaker 1: this is the right thing to do. If it has
- 9:19Speaker 1: something wrong going on, then it can't be the right
- 9:22Speaker 1: thing to do. Took me a minute to learn that one.
- 9:26Speaker 1: But please get that through your head so you can
- 9:29Speaker 1: quit spinning yourself around and remember everything you're looking for
- 9:34Speaker 1: is within you. It's all right there. Quit wasting your
- 9:38Speaker 1: time looking around all the time. Go to your God, man,
- 9:42Speaker 1: talk to him. Go to that spirit that's on the
- 9:45Speaker 1: inside of you that's calling you. Stop letting people shake
- 9:48Speaker 1: your treat You know, every time I turn around, man,
- 9:52Speaker 1: somebody got a camera in my face. That's a freelance
- 9:55Speaker 1: for TMZ or something, And they all come with the
- 9:58Speaker 1: same thing. Now lately, you know I'm an atheist or
- 10:01Speaker 1: you know what I'm You know, there's an atheist group
- 10:03Speaker 1: that's going door to door. Now I totally do the
- 10:06Speaker 1: day port to other day, I said, I don't care.
- 10:07Speaker 1: You know, they try to antagonize. He said, hey, man,
- 10:11Speaker 1: how do people with aggravating voices get radio shows? I said,
- 10:16Speaker 1: I don't know. I never I don't know anybody with
- 10:18Speaker 1: an aggravating voice. Well do you know that atheists go
- 10:21Speaker 1: door to door? I said, man, that's cool. Man, knock
- 10:23Speaker 1: yourself out. And I just kept on walking because I'm
- 10:25Speaker 1: not gonna get tripped up in that game. Look, atheists
- 10:28Speaker 1: have the right to feel how they want to feel,
- 10:30Speaker 1: and I had a right to feel how I feel.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I'm not stopping you from going around saying you an atheists.
- 10:34Speaker 1: You can't go around saying I stop me from saying
- 10:37Speaker 1: I'm a believer. Let's just gonna live in this world.
- 10:40Speaker 1: At the end of the day, somebody gonna be right,
- 10:42Speaker 1: somebody gonna be wrong, whichever one it is. Well, suppose
- 10:45Speaker 1: it ain't no God, Well then I don't live a
- 10:47Speaker 1: pretty cool life thinking it was. And I'm gonna just
- 10:49Speaker 1: ride with that one. That's pretty cool with me right there. Okay,
- 10:52Speaker 1: all right, y'all we're gonna have good day tripping a
- 10:55Speaker 1: little bit going through something. You're listening show, Ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:03Speaker 1: boys and girls, let me have your attention to Steve
- 11:05Speaker 1: Harby water Show. It's kicked in right now. This is
- 11:08Speaker 1: Steve U, the one that brings it all in or
- 11:11Speaker 1: you know, intro level stuff. That's all it is. Ladies
- 11:15Speaker 1: and gentlemen. Shirley Strong, Hey Steve, good morning calling for real?
- 11:20Speaker 1: Good morning, Steve. What's up? Prove what up? Junior? Morning? Ug?
- 11:24Speaker 1: I guess I could come to work today. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 11:28Speaker 1: y'all would come when I cut the game on by
- 11:31Speaker 1: the time I cut only with half time Danny Brown, Yeah,
- 11:36Speaker 1: Steve Harvey's yeah, you can come to where the Browns
- 11:39Speaker 1: didn't be, Houston. And I want you to know that
- 11:42Speaker 1: y'all really pay your ties this week. Yeah, maybe I
- 11:47Speaker 1: would throw in fifteen for sin if I was you,
- 11:50Speaker 1: because what the Lord saved y'all for? I know, thank you.
- 11:55Speaker 1: And and let me tell you some something. I was
- 11:58Speaker 1: watching a football and watch a lot of games. I
- 12:01Speaker 1: always watch NFL Game Day Lives so I can keep
- 12:05Speaker 1: up with all the games. When I cut the TV on,
- 12:08Speaker 1: it was halftime twenty three nothing Texans over the Brown.
- 12:13Speaker 1: That took a lot of pressure off my Sonday. I
- 12:16Speaker 1: will say that because I didn't have to worry about
- 12:20Speaker 1: it no more. It wasn't even worth worried about it. Yeah.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Then I cut on here and watch this food dropped
- 12:26Speaker 1: two damn touchdown. Yeah, so the Texas one, they didn't
- 12:33Speaker 1: they were thirteen. Congratulations man, Well, he said, I couldn't
- 12:37Speaker 1: come to work if they man, Thank thank the Lord
- 12:45Speaker 1: for that whole different open. I couldn't even I couldn't
- 12:50Speaker 1: even sit in here. No, no, we'd be saying to
- 12:53Speaker 1: score every break, that's good, good game. Well yeah, and
- 13:04Speaker 1: uh shout out this morning, Yeah to my sister, Yulanda Adams,
- 13:11Speaker 1: A big shout out, A lot of love to Yulanda Adams.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Yulanda Adams on her Instagram. She had a relationship with
- 13:21Speaker 1: the Bush family because every they used to do events
- 13:25Speaker 1: and that they love Yolanda Adams singing and they would
- 13:27Speaker 1: have invite her to a lot of different things to
- 13:30Speaker 1: sing and her and h the late President Bush who
- 13:35Speaker 1: just passed, had a relationship and she used to call
- 13:39Speaker 1: him Daddy Bush and I mean, you know that's because
- 13:43Speaker 1: she's a Christian. And uh, she posted it the backlash
- 13:48Speaker 1: that she got on her Instagram. I found it appalling
- 13:54Speaker 1: that people would attack Yolanda Adams for sending out condolences
- 14:01Speaker 1: to the family of a man that she had a
- 14:03Speaker 1: relationship with because he was a Republican president, and they
- 14:11Speaker 1: talked about Yolanda Adams man like it was something ridiculous.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Landa Adams is one of the finest people I have
- 14:21Speaker 1: ever met. Man. Yes, yes, sir, yes, she think nicest women,
- 14:28Speaker 1: but a person. I'm gonna tell you a true story
- 14:30Speaker 1: about Landa Adams when we come back. But Yulanda Adams,
- 14:34Speaker 1: I text her and I'll tell you what I text her.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I can't tell exactly. All right, we'll do it right
- 14:40Speaker 1: after this, Steve, at thirty two after the hour. You're listening,
- 14:46Speaker 1: all right, Steve, we didn't mention the nephews out todays.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Is it Monday? Oh okay? But before before we left
- 14:55Speaker 1: it out, Hey, Tommy, hey nephew. Before left out you're
- 15:04Speaker 1: trying to represent. But Steve, before we left, you were
- 15:10Speaker 1: talking about some of the backlash that our friend Yolanda
- 15:14Speaker 1: Adams has received because she posted a picture of her
- 15:17Speaker 1: and the late George HW. Bush. Yeah, it was a
- 15:21Speaker 1: group picture, and she had a relationship him, relationship with him.
- 15:24Speaker 1: You know, they all lived down there in Texas and
- 15:27Speaker 1: Yolanda lives in Houston, and she just she she missed him.
- 15:31Speaker 1: They had a great relationship. She used to sing for
- 15:34Speaker 1: them all the time. And she posted a picture of
- 15:37Speaker 1: condolences and I miss you. She used to call him
- 15:40Speaker 1: Daddy Bush. The backlash on her page, I just happened
- 15:44Speaker 1: to be going through it, and I said, wait a minute, man,
- 15:47Speaker 1: I could not understand people's response to Yolanda Adams, who
- 15:52Speaker 1: happens to be a gospel singer, who is a Christian
- 15:58Speaker 1: and who did a Christian And then you know people
- 16:01Speaker 1: saying stuff like, so you're a Republican. Now, wait a minute,
- 16:05Speaker 1: Republican or not, you can feel remorse at the loss
- 16:10Speaker 1: of a human life. How have we become so polarized?
- 16:14Speaker 1: And how's the internet so damn hateful that you can't
- 16:18Speaker 1: even send out condolences right to a man who was
- 16:24Speaker 1: a president. But let's just talk about the fact that
- 16:27Speaker 1: maybe they was just cool with each other, yes, and
- 16:30Speaker 1: it's okay. It's okay if she is a Republican. I
- 16:33Speaker 1: don't know what what her political she is, but if
- 16:37Speaker 1: she was, it'd still be okay, and it would be okay.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Then you're exactly right, Shirley, because man, it really pissed
- 16:44Speaker 1: me off when they attacked her like that because she's
- 16:47Speaker 1: such a Christian, she ain't gonna say that. Well, then
- 16:51Speaker 1: that's where you need Christians like me come here. That
- 16:57Speaker 1: just you know, that's kind of like, you know, I'm
- 17:01Speaker 1: a Christian, but you know you ain't. If you slap me,
- 17:05Speaker 1: I'm not turning another chief. That's that I'm that Christian.
- 17:09Speaker 1: So y'all get up off her ass. Quit talking about
- 17:13Speaker 1: her quick quick, like you know, man, like she's done
- 17:16Speaker 1: something so deplorable. She's a Christian. That's what Christian people do.
- 17:23Speaker 1: You know what really kind of takes me off. It's
- 17:26Speaker 1: supposedly why are you following your London? Why do you
- 17:30Speaker 1: follow up? I mean, if you're on her pay, you
- 17:34Speaker 1: usually be a fan of hers or you follow her
- 17:37Speaker 1: for some reason, right right, So I'm thinking, you know,
- 17:41Speaker 1: should be a lot of Christians following her. She's a
- 17:45Speaker 1: gospel singer, so they're Christians your thing acting very Unchristian like. Well,
- 17:50Speaker 1: let's let's put it like this. Rap fans follow rappers.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Who's judging? R and B fans follow R and B singers,
- 17:58Speaker 1: they do, they do. People who love comedy follow comedians.
- 18:04Speaker 1: So I'm just assuming Christians follow gospel singers. Amen. Boy.
- 18:11Speaker 1: But when asking on that internet though, oh, just all
- 18:16Speaker 1: of a sudden, all that Christianity. When when can't nobody
- 18:20Speaker 1: put your face to a name on your little fake page?
- 18:24Speaker 1: You got set up. They talked about this woman, and
- 18:27Speaker 1: I just wanted to come to the defense of Julanda
- 18:29Speaker 1: Adams and say, I told my little sister, I say,
- 18:32Speaker 1: from your big brother, keep your head up, don't you.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Don't you change who you are wearing about these people?
- 18:39Speaker 1: Because she was thrown off with the hatred. I bet
- 18:43Speaker 1: she was. I bet she was. But she said, Steve,
- 18:45Speaker 1: I'm just gonna love him and pray for him anyway. Yeah,
- 18:48Speaker 1: and you do the same. I told her, I wasn't
- 18:50Speaker 1: praying for nobody. Stop that. You were saying that in Houston.
- 18:56Speaker 1: People know that Yolanda and the Bushes were friends. You
- 18:59Speaker 1: were saying, yeah so this, Yeah, people other than Houstonians
- 19:03Speaker 1: that were saying this sort of thing on the internet.
- 19:05Speaker 1: And yeah, because people in Houston, they know Yolanda Adams.
- 19:08Speaker 1: She has a relationship with George H. W. Bush, who
- 19:11Speaker 1: in Barbara Bush who they both lived in Houston until
- 19:15Speaker 1: they passed away. So there's a lot of people in
- 19:18Speaker 1: the black community that have relationships with the Bushes in
- 19:21Speaker 1: the Houston area. And then the picture it's Yolanda Adams,
- 19:25Speaker 1: former President Barack Obama, former President George H. W. Bush,
- 19:30Speaker 1: and former President George W. Bush in the picture that
- 19:34Speaker 1: she post. I just I just don't understand where people
- 19:38Speaker 1: are coming from and really feel good because the thing is,
- 19:41Speaker 1: if Jesus was alive today with the internet, they would
- 19:46Speaker 1: still try to find a way to cross today to
- 19:52Speaker 1: this day right here, with the internet, they would talk
- 19:55Speaker 1: about him. Now you know that's right, you know that
- 20:00Speaker 1: walking on water, walking on water. No, he ain't making
- 20:09Speaker 1: blad people see it again, come on, that's so yeah. Yeah,
- 20:15Speaker 1: But I mean, the the Obamas are really good friends
- 20:18Speaker 1: with the Bushes, now, I mean, first Lady Michelle and
- 20:22Speaker 1: and former President George Bush are really tight. Yeah, yeah,
- 20:26Speaker 1: I mean they're good friends, you know, first Lady, like
- 20:29Speaker 1: you said, surely Michelle Obama. She's postponed her book tour
- 20:33Speaker 1: to attend to attend the fee. There you alright, see, President,
- 20:37Speaker 1: you can get it. You can be okay with a
- 20:39Speaker 1: person from a different party. Yes, yes, you really can't.
- 20:46Speaker 1: You each only get one vote. That's it. Your few
- 20:51Speaker 1: don't change the world all my dog on life. You
- 20:54Speaker 1: only get one vote. You can disagree with a person
- 20:57Speaker 1: and still be all right with Yes, we do it
- 21:01Speaker 1: every day on this show. Let me tell you something.
- 21:05Speaker 1: There are some good Republicans in this world. There are
- 21:09Speaker 1: some good Democrats in this world. I got news for you.
- 21:12Speaker 1: It's some bad Republicans in this world. And it's damn show.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Some bad democrats in this world. Yeah, so get past it,
- 21:19Speaker 1: man and live your life and let your live her life.
- 21:24Speaker 1: All right? Um? Coming up next, Uh, we're gonna talk
- 21:28Speaker 1: about um, the Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury fight. Um.
- 21:34Speaker 1: And then you wanted to talk about the football situation.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Steve going on too? Boy, You don't. You don't know
- 21:39Speaker 1: how I was. I watch all this, okay, all right, now,
- 21:43Speaker 1: all right, all right, we'll talk about it when we
- 21:45Speaker 1: come back. Right after this. You're listening to coming up
- 21:51Speaker 1: at the top of the Hour, Guys and Entertainment news.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Beyonce's performance was so beautiful. Did you guys see her? Yeah,
- 21:59Speaker 1: at the Noble Citizens Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa. We'll
- 22:03Speaker 1: talk about that coming up, but right now, Steve Junior
- 22:07Speaker 1: and Jay are here with Uh. They're gonna talk about
- 22:10Speaker 1: the heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder and Steve,
- 22:15Speaker 1: you got to talk about, Uh, Deontay's outfit Okay, I'm
- 22:19Speaker 1: throwing Game of Thrones when he walked into the a chicken.
- 22:26Speaker 1: What he was doing here looking like a chicken? The worst? Damn.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I don't fit out. I'm seeing some bad outfits on
- 22:33Speaker 1: boxers before. But but the but the superior chicken, George.
- 22:43Speaker 1: You know, I don't blame him, Steve. I blame whoever
- 22:46Speaker 1: put that together sold it to him. I know they
- 22:52Speaker 1: had to say, you think it's gonna look all right?
- 22:55Speaker 1: At one point he said, ain't enough feathers. You know,
- 23:02Speaker 1: I actually thought it was going to be a draw
- 23:06Speaker 1: at the moment in end, Yeah, I thought it was
- 23:09Speaker 1: going to be a draw because I was scoring the
- 23:12Speaker 1: fight as I went along. And what happened was Tyson
- 23:17Speaker 1: Fury was outpointing him. Yeah, so if he had accumulated
- 23:22Speaker 1: too many ten nine rounds, so they give if you
- 23:27Speaker 1: went around, they say you went a round ten nine.
- 23:31Speaker 1: If you get a knockdown in a round, that's a
- 23:35Speaker 1: ten eight round. If you score a knockdown, it's a
- 23:39Speaker 1: ten eight round to the person that scored a knockdown. Now,
- 23:44Speaker 1: Wilder had two ten eight rounds, so you tried, you
- 23:49Speaker 1: gotta do it like that. So it's twelve rounds in
- 23:51Speaker 1: the fight, right, So let's say seven of the rounds
- 24:01Speaker 1: Tyson Fury one because he was outpointing Wilder. He was
- 24:06Speaker 1: just outpointing him because you know, he was throwing big
- 24:10Speaker 1: punches of Wilder was but he was getting outpointed. Surprisingly
- 24:15Speaker 1: to me, he was getting outpointed. He kept that jab
- 24:19Speaker 1: in his face, he did, he kept So I had
- 24:23Speaker 1: him winning seven eight rounds. I'm gonna be honest with you, man,
- 24:31Speaker 1: I had Tyson Fury winning seven eight rounds. So when so, okay,
- 24:38Speaker 1: let's say seven rounds and then you got the other
- 24:42Speaker 1: foe rounds that went the other five rounds that would
- 24:46Speaker 1: go to him, So that's twelve. But you got a
- 24:51Speaker 1: ten eight round and a ten eight round, which would
- 24:54Speaker 1: give him the points of seven. I'm doing this wrong,
- 24:59Speaker 1: but any got it for a draw because I just can't. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:05Speaker 1: I thought it was a draw. I was not mad
- 25:07Speaker 1: at the draw because both of them have belt. One
- 25:12Speaker 1: of them is the Millennial whatever they called the Champ
- 25:15Speaker 1: and the other one is WBC. So they need to
- 25:17Speaker 1: unify these belts. Everybody got a belt, so in order
- 25:21Speaker 1: to take somebody else's belt, you got to beat him. Now,
- 25:25Speaker 1: when he knocked him down that second time, I thought
- 25:27Speaker 1: it was he got it. I don't know how he
- 25:29Speaker 1: got it from them in the twelve. I thought that
- 25:31Speaker 1: was when he got up though, didn't he He ain't
- 25:33Speaker 1: look grave he got He don't know how he got up. Yeah,
- 25:40Speaker 1: but I saw it, man, it was. It was. But
- 25:44Speaker 1: and can I say this, man, I love Wilder, but
- 25:48Speaker 1: he needs a trainer. He doesn't have a trainer. He
- 25:52Speaker 1: needs a real knowledgeable corner man in this corner to
- 25:57Speaker 1: train him because he's still throwing his punches too. Loop.
- 26:02Speaker 1: He threw a couple of them. Them them swatted punches
- 26:07Speaker 1: with his with the palm of his fist. I saw
- 26:10Speaker 1: three of them yesterday. Farmer boxer Steve Harvey by the way.
- 26:14Speaker 1: I mean, he just he needs real He needed to
- 26:17Speaker 1: go get Tony Atlas or he needs to see if
- 26:22Speaker 1: you know, somebody had come out that really really know
- 26:25Speaker 1: the game. Man. He needs Floyd's daddy. He need Floyd
- 26:32Speaker 1: daddy or Floyd Floyd uncle uncle. Yeah, Roger, Roger, Yeah,
- 26:38Speaker 1: he needs he need a fight guy. He needed a
- 26:40Speaker 1: guy who's a fighter, right, because he got Mark Breland
- 26:44Speaker 1: in his corner. But Mark Breenland obviously, and I'm just
- 26:47Speaker 1: I'm just going by what I saw in the corner.
- 26:49Speaker 1: He's not a good fight. Mark Brelan wasn't that great
- 26:53Speaker 1: of a fighter. As long as he was winning on
- 26:55Speaker 1: the outside, he was good. But if he got inside,
- 26:58Speaker 1: he didn't know what he was doing saying, ain't James
- 27:00Speaker 1: Wilder looked like and from the fight part of Steven
- 27:04Speaker 1: watch the whole fight, Tyson really could have knocked him out.
- 27:07Speaker 1: I thought a couple of times, if he had really
- 27:09Speaker 1: pressed it, he could have knocked him out. Bro he
- 27:12Speaker 1: had him. If if you look at Wilder's face, he
- 27:15Speaker 1: took the worst end of the whippit he didn't. Yeah,
- 27:18Speaker 1: and Tyson Fury got a nasty faint man, you know, man,
- 27:22Speaker 1: he know how to throw like he's shaking and nervous
- 27:26Speaker 1: the whole time that you know, man, he had he
- 27:33Speaker 1: had the better looking boxing jobs, he had the better faints. Yeah,
- 27:42Speaker 1: Tyson Fury, That's what I'm looking at. I'm just saying
- 27:45Speaker 1: Wilder needs somebody real in his corner because he ain't
- 27:50Speaker 1: got enough knowledge in his corner. And I'm sorry, but
- 27:53Speaker 1: the white guy that's puts the body bag on the
- 27:57Speaker 1: showing him the stuff to do, he don't know enough.
- 28:00Speaker 1: He does not know enough, man. He needs a new
- 28:04Speaker 1: trainer now, Steve, I got a sound bite for you
- 28:07Speaker 1: from Floyd Mayweather. Floyd, what is your assessment of what
- 28:10Speaker 1: you're seeing here? Well, what I see is Deontay Wilder.
- 28:13Speaker 1: He's depending on He's depending just on one shot. He's
- 28:16Speaker 1: looking for one big shot. And as a fighter you
- 28:20Speaker 1: have to use other weapons. Fury using combinations and you know,
- 28:26Speaker 1: a very very fast jab and taking his time. So
- 28:29Speaker 1: I think that if Deontay Wilder don't do something else,
- 28:33Speaker 1: it looks like Fury is gonna win. If it goes
- 28:36Speaker 1: to distance. You have all the round so far to Fury,
- 28:38Speaker 1: five olds so far. Deontay Wilder a hell of a fighter,
- 28:42Speaker 1: you know. I love Deontay Wilder. Fury a very you know,
- 28:46Speaker 1: unorthodox boxer, a good matchup. He's right, but he need
- 28:51Speaker 1: a trainer. He needs somebody to show him how to
- 28:54Speaker 1: get that warm punch in. He quick enough to have
- 28:57Speaker 1: a nice jab, and he tall enough off jab jab
- 29:01Speaker 1: jab jab jab. That's set up all that stuff. You
- 29:04Speaker 1: just got your right hand cock here. He saw it
- 29:06Speaker 1: coming all day. He need a trainer, man, He needs
- 29:10Speaker 1: somebody to teach him to fight game, because his fighting
- 29:13Speaker 1: skills are not good. He couldn't have whipped Riddick Bowl.
- 29:17Speaker 1: He couldn't have whipped Buster Douglas. He couldn't have whipped Lennox,
- 29:21Speaker 1: Lord Raiser, Ruddick, Mike Tyson. Maybe Mike Tyan would have
- 29:25Speaker 1: killed his as. He couldn't have that dude, Joshua ain't
- 29:30Speaker 1: that good either man, performance No them dude, that dude
- 29:34Speaker 1: josh Win ain't none of these new dudes and forming
- 29:38Speaker 1: Frazier Norton Holmes would have whooped this boy ass and
- 29:44Speaker 1: all these boy ass fight ain't no, ain't no he
- 29:51Speaker 1: better fighters now, nor the hell it ain't all right.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Listen Steve Harvey and tell us your opinion on the fight.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Fury Wilder, Who do you think one? And do you
- 30:02Speaker 1: want to rematch up? Next? Entertainment news right after this?
- 30:06Speaker 1: You're listening to this day show. Global Music Festival this weekend, guys.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Mandela one hundred took place over the weekend, like I said,
- 30:18Speaker 1: to honor Nelson Mandela's work to end poverty. Mandela one hundred.
- 30:22Speaker 1: It was an all day event in Johannesburg, South Africa.
- 30:26Speaker 1: It included musical sets by Beyonce and Jay Z for
- 30:30Speaker 1: Rell ed Sharon. Chris Martin of Coplay Usher was there
- 30:34Speaker 1: and other African artists. South African comedian Trevor Noah and
- 30:39Speaker 1: also Dave Chappelle were on the stage to support the cause.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Beyonce's performance brought the crowd to their feet, and before
- 30:45Speaker 1: the event, Beyonce wrote an open letter dedicated to mister Mandela, saying,
- 30:51Speaker 1: in part your kindness and gratitude for every experience and
- 30:55Speaker 1: your ability to forgive our lessons I have learned and
- 30:58Speaker 1: will pass on to my three children. My entire family
- 31:02Speaker 1: holds you in high regard. What nice words. Yeah, And
- 31:08Speaker 1: in other news we talked about this and excuse me
- 31:11Speaker 1: and right does surely yes, Beyonce said, your willingness to forgive. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:19Speaker 1: See if you you when a person passes, you have
- 31:24Speaker 1: to learn from situations. If you can't forgive, you're doing
- 31:29Speaker 1: number doing damage to yourself. One of the main lines
- 31:32Speaker 1: in the Large Prayer is forgive us. Our trust passes
- 31:36Speaker 1: as we forgive, those who trust pass against us. That's
- 31:40Speaker 1: how it's done. If you don't ever start forgiving, folks,
- 31:45Speaker 1: I got news for you, man, your your life in trouble,
- 31:50Speaker 1: for the other person as it is for you. Keep
- 31:53Speaker 1: that ascid attitude inside of you for the loness. Yeah,
- 31:57Speaker 1: it really does. And you can move on with your life.
- 31:59Speaker 1: You can move on. And I'm stuck back there, yes, Steve,
- 32:03Speaker 1: and you are going to require forgiveness yourself. Thank you shortly,
- 32:08Speaker 1: thank you. Thanks. It won't be no long term for you, right.
- 32:12Speaker 1: And also another news, as I was saying, we talked
- 32:15Speaker 1: about this earlier, Steve. George HW. Bush George Herbert Walker Bush,
- 32:20Speaker 1: the forty first President of the United States, died Friday
- 32:23Speaker 1: night at his home in Houston. He was ninety four
- 32:26Speaker 1: years old. His passing came less than eight months after
- 32:29Speaker 1: his wife, Barbara Bush died after seventy three years of marriage.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Brown, Yes see seventy three. President Bush served
- 32:45Speaker 1: as a president for one term, from nineteen eighty nine
- 32:48Speaker 1: to nineteen ninety three. There will be a four day
- 32:51Speaker 1: tribute to President Bush. He will lie in state from
- 32:54Speaker 1: five pm Monday until ten am on Wednesday, a funeral
- 32:58Speaker 1: at the Washington National Cathedral, and his burial will be
- 33:01Speaker 1: at the George Bush Presidential Library. Rip George HW. Bush.
- 33:10Speaker 1: No one said an unkind word about this man. You
- 33:12Speaker 1: look at all the tributes that were going on over
- 33:15Speaker 1: the weekend. Now they saved unkind words for Yolanda Adams.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Yea picture what they funking behind? Yeah? Now tell people
- 33:23Speaker 1: because if they may not have heard, you talked about
- 33:25Speaker 1: this earlier with Yolanda Adams Steve. Yolanda Adams posted a
- 33:30Speaker 1: picture of her and a few other former presidents, and
- 33:34Speaker 1: George Bush was one of them, and she admired him
- 33:38Speaker 1: because he used to hire her a lot to do
- 33:42Speaker 1: the events to him and his wife, Barbara Head, and
- 33:46Speaker 1: they were so close that you know, he called her,
- 33:49Speaker 1: She called him Daddy Bush, and she wrote that on
- 33:53Speaker 1: her post, and all of a sudden, the hate that
- 33:56Speaker 1: was sent towards Yolanda Adams, well Oh you a republic
- 34:00Speaker 1: looking now, you know, did you realize what he did?
- 34:04Speaker 1: Wait a minute, I just didn't appreciate what he tried
- 34:06Speaker 1: to do my little sister, and y'all ain't gonna do
- 34:08Speaker 1: it because I'm all right, Steve. Let's go on to
- 34:12Speaker 1: headlines now, plice, ladies and gentlemen. Miss Anne Trip Bush
- 34:16Speaker 1: was one of them, and she admired him because he
- 34:21Speaker 1: used to hire help, said him and his wife, Barbara
- 34:26Speaker 1: had and they were so close that, you know, he
- 34:30Speaker 1: called her, she called him Daddy Bush, and she wrote
- 34:34Speaker 1: that on her post. And and all of a sudden,
- 34:36Speaker 1: the hate that was sent towards you, Linda Adams, Well,
- 34:40Speaker 1: oh you a Republican now you know, did you realize
- 34:43Speaker 1: what he did? And wait a minute, I just didn't
- 34:46Speaker 1: appreciate what they tried to do my little sister, and
- 34:49Speaker 1: y'all ain't gonna do it because I'm all right, Steve.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Let's go on to headlines now, please, ladies and gentlemen.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Miss Anne trip thank you very much, Thank you very much, Steve,
- 34:59Speaker 1: going everybody, this is entered with the news, and yes,
- 35:02Speaker 1: tributes are pouring in for President Herbert worker Bush, who
- 35:05Speaker 1: died on Friday, at age ninety four. Ceremonies are planned
- 35:08Speaker 1: in Washington and Texas for the first President Bush. His
- 35:12Speaker 1: body is to lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda
- 35:14Speaker 1: today tomorrow and till Wednesday morning, when there's to be
- 35:17Speaker 1: a funeral service for the forty first Commander in Chief
- 35:21Speaker 1: of the National Cathedral. Bush is then to be taken
- 35:24Speaker 1: to his home in Houston form royal services there, and
- 35:28Speaker 1: the forty first President is to be late one rest
- 35:30Speaker 1: on Thursday next to his late wife Barbara at his
- 35:33Speaker 1: Presidential Library and Museum and a place called College Station
- 35:37Speaker 1: in Texas. President Trump has declared Wednesday, by the way,
- 35:39Speaker 1: a national day of mourning for the president who was
- 35:42Speaker 1: a navy man, a vice president, and CIA director before
- 35:45Speaker 1: becoming elected president. Politicians from all over the world and
- 35:48Speaker 1: both sides of the political isle paying tributes. Former President
- 35:52Speaker 1: Obama says, quote, America has lost a patriot and a
- 35:55Speaker 1: humble servant. He described the tremendous good that mister Bush accomplished,
- 36:00Speaker 1: from helping new immigrants, to reducing nuclear weapons, and to
- 36:03Speaker 1: ending the Cold War without firing a shop. By the way,
- 36:06Speaker 1: the former President Obama was supposed to be on a
- 36:08Speaker 1: book tour and he said he's canceled all his dates
- 36:10Speaker 1: to make sure he can attend the funeral for the
- 36:12Speaker 1: former president. Is that time again? The federal government apparently
- 36:16Speaker 1: runs out of money on Friday. President Trump's been pushing
- 36:18Speaker 1: for his promised boarder wall again. However, in the wake
- 36:21Speaker 1: of the death of the first President Bush, Trump stands
- 36:23Speaker 1: seems to have softened a bit where it pertains to
- 36:25Speaker 1: signing a short term budget extension. What's happen to talk
- 36:30Speaker 1: about an extension because of the President was just passing.
- 36:33Speaker 1: I would absolutely consider it and probably given. At ten
- 36:38Speaker 1: pm tonight, HBO check out a new film on the
- 36:41Speaker 1: death of Sandra Bland, the black woman arrested by a
- 36:43Speaker 1: white cop in a small Texas town and found hanging
- 36:45Speaker 1: by a noose in her cell. Her sister, Sharon Cooper,
- 36:48Speaker 1: tells me the project's been in the works for a while. Yeah,
- 36:50Speaker 1: she started filming this actually shortly after her passing and
- 36:54Speaker 1: we were just able to wrap things up. And so
- 36:56Speaker 1: what I view it as it is an opportunity to
- 36:59Speaker 1: bring a will love awareness to an issue, not just
- 37:02Speaker 1: that Sandy happened three years ago, but the fact that
- 37:04Speaker 1: there has always been a consistent adverse impact on Black
- 37:08Speaker 1: women and girls. And the film is entitled Say Her Name,
- 37:11Speaker 1: The Life and Death of Sandra Bland, HBO ten PM.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 37:17Speaker 1: to show, all right, Steve, These are definitely some scary
- 37:22Speaker 1: times we're living in right now. Magic Johnson's daughter had
- 37:25Speaker 1: to flee a San Fernando Valley house where two armed
- 37:29Speaker 1: men staged an early morning home Um. Magic Johnson's daughter, Elisa,
- 37:37Speaker 1: Eliza Elisa Johnson. Yeah, she was at an airbnb over
- 37:44Speaker 1: the weekend. It was rented by some friends. Sunday morning,
- 37:48Speaker 1: two men got inside and started terrorizing the ten people
- 37:51Speaker 1: who were staying there. Elisa was in a bedroom and
- 37:55Speaker 1: hurt the commotion, and this is according to TMZ. They
- 37:58Speaker 1: reported that she fled through a siding glass door sliding
- 38:01Speaker 1: glass door at the back of the home and ran
- 38:03Speaker 1: down the street to escape harm. Meanwhile, the suspects cleaned
- 38:07Speaker 1: out the home and fled before police arrived. We're told
- 38:11Speaker 1: that they made off with the rolex and other jewelry,
- 38:14Speaker 1: cash and electronics for a total hall worth about between
- 38:18Speaker 1: thirty and forty thousand dollars. Thank goodness. Lisa Johnson is Okay,
- 38:23Speaker 1: no one else in the house suffered any physical injuries,
- 38:26Speaker 1: and yeah, police are on the case. Of course, you
- 38:30Speaker 1: got to really be careful, man. Yeah, this is at
- 38:32Speaker 1: an airbnb, you know that was rented. So yeah, glad
- 38:38Speaker 1: she's okay, and you know, no one harmed. But let
- 38:41Speaker 1: me say something to young people. I don't know that
- 38:43Speaker 1: this is the case, but it seems to me like
- 38:47Speaker 1: it just so happens that these ten people are at
- 38:51Speaker 1: this particular Airbnb and some robbers show up. I don't
- 38:58Speaker 1: know that this is the case, but a lot of
- 39:01Speaker 1: times these dudes follow people on Instagram. That's how a
- 39:05Speaker 1: lot of basketball players get jack on on NBA weekends
- 39:10Speaker 1: and all this shame because they follow where they're going,
- 39:13Speaker 1: what they do, and they look at their stories on
- 39:15Speaker 1: their Instagram and they show up. And I'm not saying
- 39:18Speaker 1: this is what's happening, but it's really strange that this
- 39:21Speaker 1: one particular art B and B airbnb gets hit with
- 39:27Speaker 1: these kids in it, and all of a sudden, this
- 39:30Speaker 1: type of stuff is taken. Yeah. I just want people, yeah, yeah,
- 39:35Speaker 1: I want I want people to be careful about that. Yeah,
- 39:39Speaker 1: and and they should absolutely, You're so right. Yeah, as
- 39:43Speaker 1: as parents of you know, young adults teams. You know,
- 39:46Speaker 1: you constantly have to remind your kids. Times are just
- 39:49Speaker 1: different now. They're just not like it was when we
- 39:52Speaker 1: were all growing up. It's just really different. With social media,
- 39:56Speaker 1: it brings a whole other element into the situation. Yeah,
- 39:59Speaker 1: it's horrible, man, Yeah, I have to pay attention to Yeah.
- 40:02Speaker 1: I've heard on the news that they even said to everyone,
- 40:04Speaker 1: don't even post when you're going on vacation, do right,
- 40:07Speaker 1: don't none of that. Yeah, so you're right, Steve to
- 40:10Speaker 1: give morning. You're right, so thank you for that, Steve. Yeah,
- 40:16Speaker 1: all right, listen. Coming up next, Uh, Steve Junior and
- 40:19Speaker 1: Jay are gonna talk more about the fight. You guys
- 40:22Speaker 1: are into this fight up. It was a draw though,
- 40:26Speaker 1: all right, coming up thirty four after we'll be brack.
- 40:29Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, Steve, you guys talked
- 40:34Speaker 1: about the fight last hour very passionately. I might add
- 40:38Speaker 1: a junior. Uh. We we asked last hour and Steve
- 40:42Speaker 1: Harvey FM if people wanted to see a rematch between
- 40:45Speaker 1: Fury and Wilder. So far it's a resounding yes. Yeah.
- 40:49Speaker 1: They want him to get after it again. Okay, they
- 40:55Speaker 1: have to draw because it was a draw. Yeah, winner
- 41:00Speaker 1: heard the heavyweight division into something. Yeah, like it used
- 41:04Speaker 1: to be. Right? We watch middleweight now yeah yeah heavyweight? Yeah,
- 41:10Speaker 1: now you watch more Walter Wait, Welter? Well, yeah, who's Walter? Walter? Wait?
- 41:20Speaker 1: Y'all can say what you want to say, but at
- 41:22Speaker 1: least know what the hell I'm talking of course, ya ya,
- 41:27Speaker 1: y'all call it well to wait, that's what it ends.
- 41:30Speaker 1: We didn't make it up. It's Walter. Wait. Were you
- 41:32Speaker 1: talking to fighters? You talk to any Walter wait to see?
- 41:42Speaker 1: All right, go ahead, we'll let you have that. I mean,
- 41:45Speaker 1: this dude and the thing about when he got up,
- 41:49Speaker 1: he got up and started whipping on Wilder, Yeah, I mean,
- 41:54Speaker 1: but you could see where Wilder was just gas because
- 41:59Speaker 1: he rolls. Hey, no, someone has to train him how
- 42:04Speaker 1: to go in for the kill without blowing yourself up.
- 42:08Speaker 1: He could have went to the body a few times
- 42:11Speaker 1: just to get his hands down, then cracked him in
- 42:14Speaker 1: the head. But he just started throwing from his other side.
- 42:18Speaker 1: He was putting his right hand back on his right ass,
- 42:25Speaker 1: putting it on his left ass and with it I mean,
- 42:30Speaker 1: and then he was just gas. The dude has talent, man,
- 42:35Speaker 1: He has charisma, he speaks well. Wilder man if he
- 42:42Speaker 1: had a real trainer in his corner, because the dudes
- 42:46Speaker 1: he got is too young. They don't know nothing about boxing.
- 42:49Speaker 1: When I saw Mark Brilin in there, I said, okay,
- 42:54Speaker 1: Mark Brelan used to fight. Okay once again, Walter Waite
- 43:00Speaker 1: that good? Well, you know he was. I think he
- 43:02Speaker 1: fought Olympics. I mean, you know what, he was good,
- 43:05Speaker 1: but he was never gonna be you know the question
- 43:12Speaker 1: for you what what division is that that he fought
- 43:15Speaker 1: in Wales? You heard him time, Steve I got Walders.
- 43:24Speaker 1: I got out of the game playing a little bit
- 43:25Speaker 1: because I was trying to get him out. And I
- 43:27Speaker 1: know when I tried to get a guy that never happens.
- 43:30Speaker 1: It never happened. I know that that's a lesson. That's
- 43:33Speaker 1: a lesson I learned a long time ago, and I
- 43:35Speaker 1: just result back to it. I could never you know,
- 43:37Speaker 1: get out of it. I wanted to get him out.
- 43:39Speaker 1: I wanted to get him out. I guess it was
- 43:40Speaker 1: just the building up to the fight, you know, just
- 43:45Speaker 1: really just wanted to knock him out, you know, for
- 43:47Speaker 1: the fans. First pay per view, just you know, all
- 43:51Speaker 1: that stuff, all that stuff take accountable. But like I said,
- 43:54Speaker 1: I'm a man, I'm a man with a few excuses.
- 43:56Speaker 1: You know, I'm very happy with the performance. I'm happy
- 44:00Speaker 1: with the outcome, and we live to see another day
- 44:03Speaker 1: and do it again for you guys. You know, the
- 44:05Speaker 1: fans win, the fan win, and this one, you know,
- 44:07Speaker 1: this is a hell of a fight to really just
- 44:09Speaker 1: determine who's the best in the heavyweight division. And the
- 44:12Speaker 1: heavway division is just on fire right now. You know,
- 44:15Speaker 1: I think that I think this takes it even more
- 44:18Speaker 1: farther to the top. First of all, the heavyweight division
- 44:21Speaker 1: is not on fire. It had caught him five years ago.
- 44:26Speaker 1: It didn't burn. Yeah, pizzled out Mulgary. Now yea, all
- 44:31Speaker 1: you wes asses right now, we didn't even know you
- 44:35Speaker 1: were champed till last week. Heavyweight division ain't been on
- 44:41Speaker 1: fire since Tyson was in it. That's the last time
- 44:45Speaker 1: the heavyweight division been on fire. Let's stop this. And
- 44:49Speaker 1: you got to get another trainer, bro. Your team cannot
- 44:54Speaker 1: get you to the next level. You might be thirty
- 44:57Speaker 1: nine and old, thirty nine and one, but you you will.
- 45:01Speaker 1: You need to train a man all right. Up next
- 45:05Speaker 1: we're gonna have the prank phone call from uh, well, Junior,
- 45:09Speaker 1: you'll have to introduce it because the nephew is not here,
- 45:11Speaker 1: but we'll do it coming up right after this. You're
- 45:14Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top
- 45:18Speaker 1: of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's today's
- 45:21Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters subject My neighbors are ghetto fabulous. We'll talk
- 45:26Speaker 1: about that, but right now then the nephew is not here,
- 45:30Speaker 1: but we got the cousin. We got Junior in the
- 45:33Speaker 1: bay already. Yeah, Hi, y'all want me to be really
- 45:42Speaker 1: your Christmas decoration? Well, I'm trying to read cecil. Yeah,
- 45:47Speaker 1: this cecil was going on. Hey this manny man, I
- 45:51Speaker 1: live like about four fire streets over from you. How
- 45:53Speaker 1: you doing, brother, I'm doing good man, How you doing?
- 45:56Speaker 1: I'm good? Hey? Uh I see you. You You got
- 45:59Speaker 1: your Christmas life up right? Yeah? Yeah, I got him up.
- 46:01Speaker 1: I got my whole of them, theverything set up. Man,
- 46:03Speaker 1: it's just looking real good. Okay. Let me let me
- 46:05Speaker 1: ask you something, man. The theme you got in your yard?
- 46:08Speaker 1: Where you get that idea from? What you mean? Where
- 46:10Speaker 1: I get them from the idea? Like you got the
- 46:13Speaker 1: snow man? You got Santa Claus, some reindeals, You got
- 46:16Speaker 1: your whole house decorated. You got Jesus with the Manger
- 46:20Speaker 1: and the wise men around him. Where did you get
- 46:23Speaker 1: your idea from? I'm I'm lost what you're talking about? Man?
- 46:27Speaker 1: You ask me where I got a theme from them?
- 46:29Speaker 1: I mean you try to imply from them. I'm I'm
- 46:32Speaker 1: asking you a question. Where did you get the idea from?
- 46:35Speaker 1: I made this up. I made up Jesus, Jesus and
- 46:38Speaker 1: the man you know that represents Chrystal Man. You go
- 46:40Speaker 1: with a team that's Chrystmas base Man, and that's that's
- 46:42Speaker 1: Chrystmas base Jesus there Chrystmas Jesus, and in just in
- 46:45Speaker 1: Jerusalem and Beth Lamb and hey, what's what's going on? Man?
- 46:50Speaker 1: Who are you? Where you getting my number from? Any
- 46:52Speaker 1: I'm I'm I'm manny man, I'm manning. I got I
- 46:54Speaker 1: got your number from one of the people that live
- 46:56Speaker 1: on your street. And I'm just asking you on the reel,
- 47:00Speaker 1: where you get this idea from? I made this idea?
- 47:03Speaker 1: If I made this up, man, I made this up.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Get the second time you ask me why I get
- 47:07Speaker 1: this idea from? What are you trying to import the
- 47:09Speaker 1: real deal dog, the same thing you got if you
- 47:12Speaker 1: come four streets over. I got the same thing in
- 47:16Speaker 1: my yard, and it looked like you to stole my idea.
- 47:19Speaker 1: And see what you ain't gonna do is try to
- 47:21Speaker 1: win Christmas yards of the season and you don't stole
- 47:25Speaker 1: my idea. That's the problem I got with you. Now,
- 47:28Speaker 1: the problem you got is like to twist it. Okay,
- 47:31Speaker 1: to see I put this together without here. I never
- 47:34Speaker 1: even heard of you many begin with. Secondly, I've been
- 47:37Speaker 1: doing this particular theme in my yards as I've been
- 47:39Speaker 1: standing over. I've been stand over in six years. You
- 47:41Speaker 1: ain't had that. You ain't had that theme last year.
- 47:44Speaker 1: You ain't had that lad this team last year. And
- 47:46Speaker 1: to give before and I put my stuff in the
- 47:48Speaker 1: same place every damn time I put it down. You
- 47:51Speaker 1: did not have this last talk about who are you
- 47:53Speaker 1: to call me and tell me about my theme and
- 47:55Speaker 1: about my yard and what you got going? I know
- 47:57Speaker 1: you ain't copying there. Man, I'm gonna tell you no,
- 48:00Speaker 1: and I ain't gonna go no further. You need to
- 48:02Speaker 1: rearrange your theme and get a different thing, because you
- 48:05Speaker 1: got the same theme I got. No you need to
- 48:08Speaker 1: rearrange your okay, because I ain't rearranging Jack over here.
- 48:11Speaker 1: Hey man, let me tell you Jack, tell you something, man,
- 48:14Speaker 1: And I'm being really as real as I can be
- 48:16Speaker 1: with you. If I got to come over there and unplugged,
- 48:20Speaker 1: if you got to come out, if I got to
- 48:22Speaker 1: come over to your house unplugged some stuff, no no,
- 48:26Speaker 1: no fee. If that thing my foot will be getting
- 48:28Speaker 1: unplug from your First of all, you ain't gonna come

- 48:45Speaker 1: them wise men at your yard. That's what I'm gonna do.
- 48:48Speaker 1: Come over this way about messing with Jesus in the manger,
- 48:50Speaker 1: it's gonna be some real piles. Because football, that's like
- 48:53Speaker 1: thick with it, that's that's the center other things. Now,
- 48:56Speaker 1: if you want to come over here, you want to
- 48:57Speaker 1: kind of do something like that, you gonna need Jesus
- 49:00Speaker 1: to help you because it's gonna be some rolling around
- 49:02Speaker 1: going on like, Yo, what the bottom line is this?

- 54:02Speaker 1: Up next, it is today Strawberry Letters. Subject My neighbors
- 54:05Speaker 1: are ghetto a fabulous. Right after this, you're listening to
- 54:12Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It is time now, guys,
- 54:16Speaker 1: for the Strawberry Letter for today. If you need some
- 54:18Speaker 1: advice on relationships, on dating, work, sex, parenting, and more,
- 54:23Speaker 1: please submit your Strawberry letter to Steve Harvey FM and
- 54:26Speaker 1: click submit Strawberry Letter. Junior, Are you ready, Yes I am.
- 54:31Speaker 1: It's time for the Strawberry Letter with my good friend
- 54:34Speaker 1: Shirley straw Man. Yes, it is. Thank you so much, sir. Subject.
- 54:38Speaker 1: My neighbors are ghetto fabulous. Dear Steve and Shirley. I
- 54:42Speaker 1: am a thirty two year old single black man. I
- 54:46Speaker 1: am a college professor, and I just bought my first
- 54:48Speaker 1: condo in a nice new development in a quiet suburb.
- 54:52Speaker 1: I come from a family of educators, and I was
- 54:55Speaker 1: taught to be well behaved and to mind my manners
- 54:58Speaker 1: at all times. For this reason, I'm having a big
- 55:02Speaker 1: problem with my new neighbors. They're a young, married couple
- 55:05Speaker 1: and they are pardon the expression, ghetto as heck. So far,
- 55:11Speaker 1: we are the only blacks in the community, and they
- 55:14Speaker 1: are just too much. Even though we have central air
- 55:17Speaker 1: conditioning in the building. Their windows are always up so
- 55:21Speaker 1: you can hear everything that's going on at their house.
- 55:24Speaker 1: The TV is up so loud and they talk loudly.
- 55:27Speaker 1: Twenty four seven. I can hear the guy yell to
- 55:31Speaker 1: his wife from across the hall, Shamika, Shamika, girl, you
- 55:37Speaker 1: hear me when they are going down the stairs outside.
- 55:40Speaker 1: It sounds like they're about to tear them down. Whenever
- 55:44Speaker 1: they pull up to park, their music is blasting. I
- 55:47Speaker 1: don't know what's wrong with them. Two other neighbors have
- 55:50Speaker 1: complained about the noise, but they are afraid to talk
- 55:53Speaker 1: to the guy, so they asked me to do it.
- 55:55Speaker 1: I tried to talk to him and told him there
- 55:58Speaker 1: have been a few complaints, but he was not trying
- 56:00Speaker 1: to hear it, and he said he will do as
- 56:02Speaker 1: he darned well pleases in his own home. I call
- 56:06Speaker 1: the cops a couple of times to report a noise disturbance,
- 56:09Speaker 1: but nothing's changed. I don't want to come across as
- 56:12Speaker 1: being uppit eat, but I am embarrassed by them. They
- 56:15Speaker 1: are living up to every stereotype about our race. I
- 56:19Speaker 1: may have to rent out my condo and move somewhere else.
- 56:22Speaker 1: How would you handle this well, I would definitely rent
- 56:26Speaker 1: out my condo if I could. If I could do that,
- 56:29Speaker 1: I would. I mean, your home is supposed to be
- 56:31Speaker 1: you know, your sanctuary. You're safe. Hey, then if you
- 56:35Speaker 1: can't have peace and quiet in your own home, you
- 56:39Speaker 1: would have to make some changes. I would think you
- 56:41Speaker 1: could definitely choose where you want to live, and I'm
- 56:44Speaker 1: sure your condo wasn't cheap, and you shouldn't have to
- 56:47Speaker 1: tolerate this sort of foolishness. You know, I think you should.
- 56:54Speaker 1: I really do think you should rent it out this way,
- 56:56Speaker 1: schimikinem don't have to find out that it's you the
- 57:00Speaker 1: police on them, because if they found out, I don't
- 57:02Speaker 1: think that would be pretty because you already know he
- 57:04Speaker 1: said he you know, he had words with you when
- 57:07Speaker 1: you went over there to tell him about it. So
- 57:09Speaker 1: I say, leave them alone, try to rent out your place,
- 57:12Speaker 1: or try to take a different approach. Maybe maybe invite
- 57:15Speaker 1: them over and practice some of those manners that you
- 57:17Speaker 1: grew up learning, you know, being well behaved and all
- 57:21Speaker 1: of that. Yeah, invite them over. You never know, they
- 57:24Speaker 1: may change, They may change. You never know to change
- 57:27Speaker 1: in him, Steve Man, I don't know how how would
- 57:34Speaker 1: you handle it? Not the way you is? See, you
- 57:39Speaker 1: don't let me. I don't know how to put this
- 57:42Speaker 1: to you. Man. I understand you thirty two single, you're
- 57:46Speaker 1: college professor. You know he bought your first condo and
- 57:49Speaker 1: a new development. Quiet. You know it comes from family, educated,
- 57:53Speaker 1: well behaved, mind your manners. But you got these neighbors, man,
- 57:58Speaker 1: the young couple, but they get old as hell. They're
- 58:04Speaker 1: hooding them to mood in. And I understand the dilemma
- 58:08Speaker 1: you got, man, because what you do man sometimes Man,
- 58:11Speaker 1: you work hard, you try to better yourself and you

- 58:17Speaker 1: common thing for a lot of people to move out
- 58:19Speaker 1: the hood, even though there's a lot of good in
- 58:21Speaker 1: the hood, man, a lot of great people. There are
- 58:24Speaker 1: a lot of great churches, businesses, teachers, police officers, a
- 58:28Speaker 1: lot of good stuff in the hood. Now the hood
- 58:31Speaker 1: get a bad rap. But you know why we get
- 58:33Speaker 1: a bad rap. And you know who give us the
- 58:35Speaker 1: bad rap? Because it's just enough for us to stay there.

- 1:23:36Speaker 1: always hated to steal as anyway because they're in the
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: same division as the Browns. So whatever. All right, Well, listen,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: we're about running out of time, but we have two
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: very important games to talk about when we come back

- 1:24:11Speaker 1: know what they're gonna do, because, like damn, Doug William
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: said that dumb as messed this week. Ain't no one here.
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: You know, you would think with all this meat too
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: stuff going on, you would send your ass down some way.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: V Quine. These people ain't playing with you no more.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: You can't say nothing like that. Doug had to come
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: back out and apologize his grandmama, Mama, his six daughters,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: everybody on that. Just Doug ain't mean nothing, you know
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Yeah, Douglass, you know Mississippi ass boy,
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: you don't even know. Well, pepperbig hither what I'd like
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: to talk about, Pepper because you're at work? Yeah, how
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: that works? Uh huh? Steve told me if they lost,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: I bet not show up. Man. Houston, Texas beat the
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: Cleveland brow twitting nine to thirteen. Nine in a roll. Pimp,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: you pick Cleveland? Yeah, I gust to pick Cleveland. I'm
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: a pimp, ain't it? Yes? Yeah, ain't no pimps in Houston.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: It's too hot you can't even gonna be a pomp

- 1:25:36Speaker 1: you know what I mean, you put a front corn
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: on there be like a egg. We done this. Hot
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: weather stopped pimping. I gotta do that. Pimping is a
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: cold weather sport, you know what I'm saying. So I
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: just you know the Browns loss. You know the Sean
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: Washington passed on him in the draft and took the
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: drunk ass. I don't know how we posted to get
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: past that to get junk ass man zale in Sean. Listen,
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: the damn y'all ain't know him. Wasn't thought because he
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: was white, he was gonna do something white boy can't
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: throw me. He can't throw in Canada. You know what
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: I'm then they want to put his hands now if
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: you ain't gonna win in Canada, Damn. He might love
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: a junk, but he lital though he maybe he should
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: go back and play poal football. Ain't try that. He
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: an't even had to do nothing up in here. So
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: congratulations in Houston. Yeah, you know the Browns inside, but
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: we was in it the least week competitive you know, yeah, yeah, no,
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: meaning it wasn't a blow out. When did you know
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: the game was over at halftime? When I cut the
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: thing on and I saw twenty three to nothing, I went,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: damn click and lead to me missing my Sunday up
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: that click don't can out out of him? Nice time,
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: Andy Man. So next week, man, I won't be so
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: rushed and everything. Some of my picks can be a
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: little bit better because I damn show would have picked
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: Jacksonville had I been thinking, and I would have picked
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: a Baltimore because Lamar Jackson then took over for foul code.
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: But I forgot that. You know, I've seen out to
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: pick that down out to pick one upset game, Cardinals
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: over the Packers, they to five day coaches ass ain't
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: coming to work no more and kareem hunt for the
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: hands of c don hell you do dude, horrible man,
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: You messed up. Man. You don't do nothing like that.
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: Anybody raised you better than that. Just let me get
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: on out of here. We'll be picking better next week.
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: This is what it sounds like when pims. You're listening
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: to This Day Morning show Global Music Festival this weekend, guys,
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: Mandela one hundred took place over the weekend, Like I

- 1:28:40Speaker 1: and before the event, Beyonce wrote an open letter dedicated
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: to mister Mandela, saying, in part your kindness and gratitude
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: for every experience and your ability to forgive our lessons
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: I have learned and will pass on to my three children.
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: My entire family holds you in high regard. What nice words. Yeah,
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: And in other news we talked about this and right
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: does surely yes, Beyonce said, your willingness to forgive, Yeah yeah.
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: See if you you when a person passes, you have
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: to learn from situations. If you can't forgive, you're doing number,
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: doing damage to yourself. One of the main lines in
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: the large prayer is forgive us our trust passes as
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: we forgive those who trust pass a givest us. That's
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: how it's done. If you don't ever start forgiving, folks,
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: I got news for you man, your your life, and
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: trouble for the other person as it is for you.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: It keeps that asset attitude inside of you for the longest. Yeah,
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: it really does. And you can move on with your life.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: You can move on, and you are going to require
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: forgiveness yourself. Thank you shortly, thank you, thank you. It
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: won't be no long term for you need Right as
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: I was saying, we talked about this earlier. Steve George HW.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: Bush George Herbert Walker Bush, the forty first President of
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: the United States, died Friday night at his home in Houston.
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: He was ninety four years old after seventy three years
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: of marriage Jay Anthony Brown. Yes. President Bush served as
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: a president for one term, from nineteen eighty nine to
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: nineteen ninety three. There will be a four day tribute
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: to President Bush. He will lie in state from five
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: pm Monday until ten am on Wednesday, a funeral at
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: the Washington National Cathedral, and his burial will be at
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: the George Bush Presidential Library. No one said an unkind
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: word about this man. You look at all the tributes
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: that were going on over the weekend, kind words for
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: Yolanda adamphood picture what they funking behind? Yeah, now tell
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: people because if they may not have heard, you talked
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: about this earlier with Yolanda Adams. Steve Lana Adams posted
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: a picture of her and a few other former presidents,
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: and George Bush was one of them, and she admired
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: him because he used to hire her a lot to
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: do this events to him and his wife, Barbara had
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: and they were so close that you know, he called her,
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: she called him Daddy Bush, and she wrote that on
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: her post. And all of a sudden, the hate that
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: was sent towards Yolanda Adams, well, oh you a Republican now,
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: you know? Did you realize what he did? Wait a minute.
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: I just didn't appreciate what they tried to do my
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: little sister, and y'all ain't gonna do it. All right,
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: last break of the day coming up. Stay close, you
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: don't want to miss it. Steve Harvey's closing remarks coming
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: up at forty nine after the hour. Right after this.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right, Steve, Here we are last
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: break of the day. This was Monday. Not a bad Monday.
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: Start off the week in the Christmas spirit, you guys
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: in the Christmas spirit as I am. I am as well.
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: I still hurried, Donny have the way nowhere? I heard
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: it a couple of times. Yeah, that's what makes you,
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: what put you in the spirits? Yeah, yeah, I heard
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: a couple of Christmas songs, but it wasn't that one.
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: I am heard the temptations I haven't heard now that
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: I haven't heard, I haven't hear. Well, I heard a
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: white lady doing it on watercolors. What this Christmas? Yeah?
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: I got man, cut it off. Okay, we're gonna you're
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: not gonna ruin this. Damn, We're gonna move on. It's
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: time for us. You couldn't have saen jingle bells. And
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: it's time for closing remarks. Steve Harvey. Okay, let's go.
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: And in light of some of the stuff that I've
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: been hearing on the news, I wanted to take a
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: moment to address. Let me start with a basic thing
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: that if God allows you to finally get to where
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: you've always asked him, could you be whether it's in
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: the corporate ladder, whether it's a certain promotion on the job,
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: whether it's a career in entertainment, a career in sports,
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: whatever the situation is. You know, you would think that
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: once God got us to where we asked him, could
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: we please be, that we would be just a little
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: bit more mindful of it and take better care of
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: the opportunity. Too many times I see us, especially men,
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: get to where we've always wanted to go in sports
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: and entertainment, up to corporate letter, and then we get
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: that and then a couple of judgmental errors cause us
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: to have to lose it all. Now, listen, I'm not
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: saying that we're not gonna make mistakes, because we will.
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: Every living person makes a mistake. But my goodness, man,
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: some of these mistakes can be avoided. It's just some
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: basic core values that you have to hold on to.
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: Now listen to me. I don't know what happened to chivalry.
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: I do know what happened to shivalry. It's men and
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: my generation stop teaching it to the generation behind us
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: because we were so busy climbing the corporate letter. We
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: were the first ones to benefit from the civil rights movement,
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: first ones, and our families go to college, climb the
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: corporate letter, get a position at the post office, own
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: a company. A lot of us benefited from the civil
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: rights movement, and we were so busy benefiting and taken
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: advantage of the new laws and affirmative action and all
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: of this stuff where we could get a piece of
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: the pie that we forgot to teach the young men,
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: the generation behind us, the rules of manhood. And there's
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: a real simple rule that should always come into play.
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: Men don't hit women. Now. Look, man, you can call
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: that old fashioned if you want to, because I've had
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: a couple of dudes in my camp accuse me of that.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: They've actually said that to me. They say, mister, h
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: you don't understand. That's old school. That ain't high. Do
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: no more because sometimes these women up here is hitting men. Well,
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: let me explain something to me. I got the there
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: some women right now hitting men. And I've tried to
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: teach all my daughters keep your hands off anybody, because
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: everybody ain't raised like your brothers. See. I raised my
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: son's not to hit women because my father raised me
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: and my brothers never to hit a woman under no circumstance.
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: So that's how I raised my son. But everybody's child
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: ain't raised that way. So I've always taught my daughters
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: to keep your hands to yourself. But if they don't
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: keep their hands just as a man, what does it
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: really cost you? Man? Really, young men, what would it
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: really cost you to walk away? How hard can she
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: really hit you? How really? Man? Her best shot? You
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: ain't took a shot no harder than that before you
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: took a shot from that, harder than that from most
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: boys and had to get your butt out the way
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: because you didn't want no more. I'm just saying, man, look,
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: incorporate this real simple rule in your life that men
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: don't hit women. I watched this young boy, Kareem Hunt
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: on this video in a hotel in Cleveland, push this woman,
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: strike this woman, and then when the woman was kneeling,
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: he kicked up. His football career is gone. The Kansas
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: City Chiefs immediately released him his foot, and this is
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: his second year in NFL. He didn't learn nothing from
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: the Ray Rice incident. Ray Rice football career is gone
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: from the domestic violence he portrayed to his wife on
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: an elevator. But video or no video, if you just
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: live by one simple rule that you don't hit women.
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: I was looking at ray Rice's video on the thing.
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: What does she do that she was supposed to get that?
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: The repercussions of it is too great. What it's on
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: video or not, the repercussions is too great, man. But
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: when it costs you your career? Real? Was it worth it?
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: When you get locked up? Was it worth it? When
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: you get charges? Was it worth it you have to
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: go to court? Was it worth it to see the
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: look on her face of a woman you supposedly say
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: you love to see a bruise on her? Is it
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: worth it? I don't think so. I don't think so.
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: Real men don't hit women. I'll just say it again.
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: Real men don't hit women, period. Feel how you want
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: to feel and say what you want to say, but
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: real men don't hit women, period. That's enough. Drop the mics.
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: You're right about that, you're don't. I don't, and I
