- 2:01Speaker 1: huh I shall well, good morning everybody, y'all listen to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the bars, come on, dig me not want and on it.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show, Man on Man on man.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Grateful for it comes with a huge amount of responsibility.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I didn't really know I was gonna have to be
- 2:19Speaker 1: this responsible, you know, Um, can I share something with y'all?
- 2:23Speaker 1: I started out to Finally I had gotten on track
- 2:27Speaker 1: and was able to see a way to even uh
- 2:31Speaker 1: pursue my dream. It has been a long, a long
- 2:35Speaker 1: trip that I've been on, and I've gone through so
- 2:38Speaker 1: many phases of it. It is rewarding along the way
- 2:43Speaker 1: to accomplish your dreams. What I'm saying is this, let me,
- 2:47Speaker 1: let me put it together, because I got so much
- 2:49Speaker 1: running through my head right now. You know it's it's
- 2:52Speaker 1: one thing to accomplish your dreams, but there's joy in
- 2:56Speaker 1: the process of achieving it. See, some people are so
- 3:02Speaker 1: caught up in the goal, the final goal, that they
- 3:07Speaker 1: find no joy, no enjoyment in the process. If you
- 3:13Speaker 1: have found what it is you want to do and
- 3:18Speaker 1: you strike out on that journey, please understand you are
- 3:23Speaker 1: far more blessed than the average person. Do you understand
- 3:27Speaker 1: that to know what it is you really want to do,
- 3:31Speaker 1: to find your work in life, your purpose, to find
- 3:36Speaker 1: out what direction you want to go in is such
- 3:40Speaker 1: a blessing. The average person, if you sit down and
- 3:43Speaker 1: talk to them, oftentimes don't have their life on track.
- 3:47Speaker 1: And it'd be some people that you're looking at you
- 3:49Speaker 1: think God are going on because of their appearance, their swagger,
- 3:54Speaker 1: or they walk like it, they talk like it, they
- 3:56Speaker 1: look like it. But if you sit down and talk
- 3:58Speaker 1: to the average person, the average person man does not
- 4:03Speaker 1: know what their purpose is, has not discovered what they
- 4:08Speaker 1: wanna do, and have no idea how to get there.
- 4:11Speaker 1: If you are on the other side of that, If
- 4:14Speaker 1: you understand your purpose, if you have an idea of
- 4:17Speaker 1: what you wanna be, and you are on your way there,
- 4:21Speaker 1: you are truly blessed. And in that blessing, you must
- 4:26Speaker 1: recognize it as a blessed. You must recognize the fact
- 4:31Speaker 1: that you are you are on the right side, and
- 4:36Speaker 1: that there should be a sense of accomplishment and a
- 4:39Speaker 1: feeling of pride in you that you are on track
- 4:42Speaker 1: to accomplish your goal. See what used to happen was
- 4:46Speaker 1: sometimes I used to keep my nose so on the
- 4:50Speaker 1: grindstone that I wouldn't even look up and realize. Man,
- 4:54Speaker 1: hey man, I know you're trying to get here, but Steve,
- 4:58Speaker 1: hold on, man, can't you see what you've done so far?
- 5:02Speaker 1: Can't you find just some joy in the process. See,
- 5:05Speaker 1: a lot of us lose the joy of the blessings
- 5:08Speaker 1: God has given us because we're looking at the end tomorrow.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I ain't there yet, You're on your way. I'm gonna
- 5:15Speaker 1: give you an example. I had a friend who told
- 5:17Speaker 1: me that they wanted to be a million now, and
- 5:21Speaker 1: they asked me some questions and I told him, so
- 5:24Speaker 1: they started the process. And I am telling you this
- 5:29Speaker 1: dude works extremely hard. So about a year later we
- 5:35Speaker 1: were talking. He had found this business, he had uh
- 5:42Speaker 1: set his goal, and he was working towards it. Then
- 5:45Speaker 1: about two years later I ran up into him again.
- 5:48Speaker 1: We were talking about it and everything. It's a man
- 5:51Speaker 1: really really appreciate advice. He said, Man, but this is
- 5:54Speaker 1: this is it is all jacked up, man, because I
- 5:57Speaker 1: still ain't made that million I was talking about. I said, well, hey, man,
- 6:01Speaker 1: just just keep at it. It's coming. He's a man.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Keep at it. Man, You know how long I've been
- 6:06Speaker 1: doing this? And I got quiet because, yeah, I know
- 6:09Speaker 1: exactly how long you've been been two years now. And
- 6:12Speaker 1: I didn't say that to him, but I said to myself, yeah,
- 6:15Speaker 1: two years. He said, Man, I've been grinding so long. Man,
- 6:18Speaker 1: it's just it ain't having it fun me. I said,
- 6:21Speaker 1: wait a minute, man, hold hold on, hold on. I said,
- 6:23Speaker 1: about how much you're making right now a year, man,
- 6:27Speaker 1: about two hundred fifty thousands. I quit breathing. I said, well,
- 6:33Speaker 1: my man, two years ago you didn't have a clue.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Two years later, you're making a quarter of a million dollars.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I said, man, do you understand how blessed you are?
- 6:47Speaker 1: I said, man, your family was about to get put
- 6:50Speaker 1: out two years ago. You don't borrow the house? Yeah, man,
- 6:55Speaker 1: but this ain't the house. I really won't whoa partner?
- 6:58Speaker 1: Whoa I got that? I got that house. You really
- 7:02Speaker 1: won't make Mike car five eight million. I don't know.
- 7:05Speaker 1: But man, y'all got a house, you're making a payments.
- 7:09Speaker 1: You driving. You ain't out nor more. I said, hold on, man,
- 7:11Speaker 1: you gotta stop. I said you got to stop. I said, man,
- 7:14Speaker 1: because right now, man, you you're coming across as real
- 7:16Speaker 1: ungrateful to me. So I know God, who has done
- 7:20Speaker 1: all this for you, got to be looking at you
- 7:22Speaker 1: with his own folded. But then he God, so he
- 7:24Speaker 1: probably handled it all together different. I was just speculating
- 7:27Speaker 1: with him, and so he said, Man, why are you
- 7:29Speaker 1: tripping like that? Man? Man, you act like don't nobody
- 7:32Speaker 1: want to have nothing but you? I said, whoa man,
- 7:33Speaker 1: where are you going with this conversation? I said, Oh,
- 7:36Speaker 1: I didn't come to you. I just came to you
- 7:37Speaker 1: and asked you how you doing. And I'm trying to
- 7:40Speaker 1: point out to you that the journey that you started on,
- 7:44Speaker 1: that you are on your way and you are in
- 7:46Speaker 1: the process of accomplishing your goals, and can you not
- 7:49Speaker 1: feel some joy and some pleasure in your accomplishment. Quit
- 7:53Speaker 1: tripping on the fact that you ain't made a million yet?
- 7:56Speaker 1: You on your way. You don't went from your He thought,
- 7:59Speaker 1: this dude was making fit. Ain't thousand dollars a year?
- 8:00Speaker 1: You making quarter of a million dollars in two years?
- 8:02Speaker 1: May come on, man, can't you see? Can't you see? So?
- 8:07Speaker 1: He said? Eventually a man, I kind of see what
- 8:10Speaker 1: you're saying. But that ain't about nothing to me because
- 8:12Speaker 1: I ran up into him a year and a half later.
- 8:16Speaker 1: How you doing, man, man? I showed wish I had
- 8:20Speaker 1: appreciated my life when I had it like that? I said,
- 8:23Speaker 1: what you mean, had it like that and just fell
- 8:26Speaker 1: on some hard times? Man? Right back? Why I was?
- 8:30Speaker 1: And then we talked. I said, hey, man, don't worry
- 8:32Speaker 1: about it. I said. Once you know how to accomplish something,
- 8:34Speaker 1: I said, you just reapply the same principles and start
- 8:37Speaker 1: on over again. Man, you know how hard it is
- 8:40Speaker 1: to be the start over? Okay, my man, hold up, partner,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you've ben do yourself like this again. First, she wasn't
- 8:45Speaker 1: grateful for what you had. Now you're looking at the
- 8:48Speaker 1: fact that you might have to start over, and you
- 8:50Speaker 1: know how hard it is to start over, but you
- 8:52Speaker 1: have the knowledge, the principles, and you got a little
- 8:55Speaker 1: bit of money to go on and get it going again.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I said, Man, don't keep doing this to yourself. I said, Man,
- 9:00Speaker 1: you ain't grateful no matter what God do for you.
- 9:03Speaker 1: So what you need to do, partner, stop reassess yourself
- 9:07Speaker 1: the fact that you were not grateful in the first place.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Could that be the reason why? You know? Man, maybe
- 9:14Speaker 1: I'm not calling it cause I ain't God. I do
- 9:16Speaker 1: not know how he thinks, nor do I claim to know.
- 9:19Speaker 1: But let's just imagine for a moment. Let's just say,
- 9:23Speaker 1: maybe for a moment, maybe God said, Okay, you ain't
- 9:28Speaker 1: happy with this. Okay, didn't handle it your way? You
- 9:32Speaker 1: obviously ain't happy with the way I'm bringing it into
- 9:35Speaker 1: your life. You want to handle it your way, Go
- 9:36Speaker 1: ahead and handle it because he will let you have
- 9:38Speaker 1: it your way. Can I tell you that he will
- 9:41Speaker 1: let you do it exactly the way you want to
- 9:43Speaker 1: it because He gives us all the power of choice.
- 9:45Speaker 1: So then maybe he said, Okay, you don't appreciate the
- 9:48Speaker 1: way I'm doing it. You don't like the favor I'm
- 9:50Speaker 1: showing you. You think it's taken too long. I'm gonna
- 9:53Speaker 1: let you do it your way. I'm not gonna turn
- 9:55Speaker 1: my back on you. I'm just gonna let you do
- 9:57Speaker 1: it your way. Just just say. Maybe he said that,
- 10:00Speaker 1: and now he right back where he was. So what
- 10:02Speaker 1: I try to get the young cat to understand was, man,
- 10:06Speaker 1: appreciate your life for what it is, because like um life,
- 10:10Speaker 1: Jenny's got that song that he got out off this album.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Still I still believe it could have been worse. And
- 10:16Speaker 1: now that it is worse, what's on your mind now, folks,
- 10:21Speaker 1: if you are on that side of life where you
- 10:23Speaker 1: have figured out what you wanna do, you know how
- 10:25Speaker 1: you're gonna get that, and you know your purpose. You're
- 10:28Speaker 1: accomplishing what the majority of people never ever do. So
- 10:31Speaker 1: be grateful for your process. Don't tumble yourself, don't throw
- 10:35Speaker 1: yourself off the cliff. It's gonna be all right. Success
- 10:39Speaker 1: takes a measure of time. It is not easy. If
- 10:42Speaker 1: success were easy, everybody would be successful. All right, y'all.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I'm sorry this morning if I sounded a little all
- 10:50Speaker 1: over the place, in a little jumble, but That's how
- 10:52Speaker 1: it came to me. So you know, uh, y'all keep
- 10:56Speaker 1: your head up. Twenty one minutes after the hour Steve
- 11:06Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Won't they do it? Won't it do it?
- 11:19Speaker 1: But what did they? Yes? He will, Yes he will.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Morning to everybody, Monday, Monday morning. Now, I'm shocked you
- 11:34Speaker 1: having so much energy this morning. You were all over
- 11:37Speaker 1: last night. I'm shocked. Huh. I got a whole night
- 11:42Speaker 1: of TV yea bottom right, I can't tell you man,
- 11:52Speaker 1: what's going on Steve Harvey's ABC. Yeah, that's all they
- 11:56Speaker 1: needed to It's Steve probably everything else. Everybody gonna moved today. Yeah, yeah,
- 12:11Speaker 1: happy Monday. Yeah, after a big Sunday. Yeah, it's like
- 12:21Speaker 1: that before we talk about that show. Yeah, let us
- 12:27Speaker 1: all be gathered in United prow for the Cavaliers, gracious
- 12:36Speaker 1: God off by some miraculous deed of yours, some unrelented
- 12:44Speaker 1: wheel on behalf of the players tonight. Low, you can
- 12:50Speaker 1: just get this game back to Cleveland. I know it
- 12:52Speaker 1: don't look like but I'm asking for the unseemingly, the unlikely,
- 13:00Speaker 1: who the improbable. I need you. We're asking all these
- 13:06Speaker 1: things for the Cavaliers tonight, as they faced the raft
- 13:14Speaker 1: of the light. Skin here out west light skinning people
- 13:20Speaker 1: with a couple of dog boards. This is dangerous coming
- 13:22Speaker 1: me was to asking you ever that a new cavalier
- 13:29Speaker 1: would rise up Tristan. Somebody have a game out they dralls.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Get this game back to Cleveland some way. I don't
- 13:40Speaker 1: want nobody to get hurt. Protect them all, keep them safe.
- 13:45Speaker 1: But maybe if you could just help Stephen just not
- 13:49Speaker 1: remember how to shoot. Don't hurt him. Lord, just have
- 13:54Speaker 1: a brain fought fifteen times in the game on a
- 14:01Speaker 1: technical just looks Warriors. The question is Steve, you are
- 14:10Speaker 1: the basketball guy. Can it happen? Can it really happen?
- 14:19Speaker 1: It's possible, Chris, It's gonna be a brand for the
- 14:25Speaker 1: Lord to the same Steve Lord. All right, Uh, we'll
- 14:33Speaker 1: be back with ask the CEO. As we started off
- 14:37Speaker 1: this work week, it is Monday. You're listening to Steve
- 14:42Speaker 1: Hardy Morning Show. Well, it's his favorite segment. We struggle
- 14:46Speaker 1: with it, but it's time for a c on this Monday.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Well here we all did. It's staffles. Uh, good morning,
- 15:05Speaker 1: begin on this glorious Monday morning. Questions for the CEO?
- 15:09Speaker 1: What can I do for you? Okay? Yeah, I have
- 15:12Speaker 1: a question. See there have been several reports UM out
- 15:17Speaker 1: lately that show that UH employers can get the best
- 15:21Speaker 1: work and production from their staffs if they treat them nicer,
- 15:26Speaker 1: if they give them bonuses like a Christmas time things
- 15:30Speaker 1: like that. If um, you know, just if they show
- 15:33Speaker 1: more appreciation, they'll get better production out of their staff.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Your thoughts, sir, exactly what job are you referring to? What?
- 15:40Speaker 1: Which company? Any company? There was there was a study
- 15:45Speaker 1: done any company just if you're unemployed here, if you
- 15:54Speaker 1: have a staff, they're saying they're more appreciative, they're more
- 16:00Speaker 1: the more you appreciate them, the more productive they are.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I find everybody's production on this show to be up
- 16:07Speaker 1: to pass thus far. Therefore, I see no reason for
- 16:13Speaker 1: up to production. Yes, yeah, Carla, go ahead with good question.
- 16:20Speaker 1: It's a great question. Okay, So it's Monday, sir, we're
- 16:24Speaker 1: starting off the work week. We want to get everybody motivated.
- 16:29Speaker 1: You know, you just mentioned bonuses. That's a great way
- 16:32Speaker 1: to get things going. You want to talk about that.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I think the greatest motivation factor in the world is
- 16:37Speaker 1: your check. But that but we're gonna beyond and we
- 16:43Speaker 1: do our job we go over and above. That's right.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Have you done anything to go beyond right now? You
- 16:50Speaker 1: mean at this moment on the end? What time do
- 16:53Speaker 1: you get off? Uh? Today? Will It'll be a little later.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I think we're working a little later to that. Well
- 17:00Speaker 1: after that, what do you do? I go home? There
- 17:06Speaker 1: you have it? What does that mean? What what does
- 17:09Speaker 1: that have to do with the You get off, you
- 17:11Speaker 1: go home, you come to work, you get your check.
- 17:14Speaker 1: That's how this work. Questions, we don't pay go home
- 17:19Speaker 1: money here we go real quick. So not, it's really
- 17:26Speaker 1: not a question. We just don't like the way you
- 17:29Speaker 1: answer us. Yeah, finally somebody we answer the question and
- 17:35Speaker 1: the answer don't really feel friendly enough. Can we get
- 17:39Speaker 1: more friendly answers? Well, that's absolutely fine with me. Question
- 17:52Speaker 1: you know, uh the game come on the night and
- 17:57Speaker 1: you know, do the company have a sweet we can get? No,
- 18:04Speaker 1: this company is down in Atlanta. The Hawks ain't in it.
- 18:09Speaker 1: That's Cleveland, the Golden State. Ain't no sweets for this hill.
- 18:13Speaker 1: But I'm from Cleveland. I have a sweet. I have
- 18:24Speaker 1: a block named after me in Cleveland with the school
- 18:28Speaker 1: that see that there is no eye in us. That
- 18:35Speaker 1: is and them is the facts all right, okay, maybe
- 18:40Speaker 1: we're going about you want to see your questions. You're
- 18:46Speaker 1: taking too long. Okay, all right, here we go. Um okay,
- 18:50Speaker 1: perhaps you know, maybe we shouldn't ask for bonuses and
- 18:53Speaker 1: extra money and things like that. Maybe we should ask
- 18:56Speaker 1: for herks like, um, you know love it. How about
- 19:01Speaker 1: a company car? Maybe you know a gas a gas
- 19:05Speaker 1: allows right now? Yeah? Yeah, you ceo by a woman
- 19:11Speaker 1: a car. It has to involve some type of sexual faith.
- 19:20Speaker 1: I don't want to keep your come walking. Wow keep
- 19:28Speaker 1: you damn My wife got a car. You know we
- 19:31Speaker 1: sleep together in buses. Yeah. I don't give a damn
- 19:40Speaker 1: what you said. You don't work here. It never goes right. Okay,
- 19:50Speaker 1: So maybe I can ask this question about resources and
- 19:54Speaker 1: budgets and capital budget to give maybe new equipment and upgrade.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Refute the laptop. Yeah, you can take care. There's a
- 20:03Speaker 1: radio show. You want upgrade laptop. You need a job
- 20:08Speaker 1: at Apple. You work with microphones, talking jokes, entertaining the news.
- 20:15Speaker 1: That's what we do. We don't got to upgrade mix.
- 20:17Speaker 1: All our mix is working, All our mix is clear.
- 20:22Speaker 1: You are a new computer, need to work on computer store.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Don't see what they all got but we need the
- 20:29Speaker 1: computer to look up the news and the information. I
- 20:32Speaker 1: don't give a damn, but how you get the news?
- 20:35Speaker 1: That's why we need new computers. Sir? How did you
- 20:39Speaker 1: get the news? You're discussing not going well? Listen, listen
- 20:44Speaker 1: to at them, but stay with me, y'all support me.
- 20:47Speaker 1: You're looking up on the computer. That's how we get it.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Did your computer come on last night? Yes? Hello? All right?
- 20:59Speaker 1: Why would you need either? Knew when the old when
- 21:01Speaker 1: ste Cardinal? Yes? I could we have I mean it's
- 21:08Speaker 1: I know you're very busy, but can we have more
- 21:11Speaker 1: like family outings where we would all be We're not
- 21:14Speaker 1: a family. You got kids with your family? We are building,
- 21:26Speaker 1: move around building. We don't hold on the radio. Can
- 21:33Speaker 1: you take us to lunch? Some gift car? We don't
- 21:37Speaker 1: go at the same time? Some stop ups card something? No,
- 21:45Speaker 1: don't don't know. What happened to breakfast? Yeah? What happened?

- 32:26Speaker 1: certain way as the mama. Yeah yeah, yeah, Please don't
- 32:31Speaker 1: let it be a man. Lebron had to tell his
- 32:33Speaker 1: mama to sit down understand you're excited, but you can't.
- 32:37Speaker 1: You can't mess up your boy out here messing around.
- 32:41Speaker 1: But he does explain Raymond texs Now. Generations of my
- 32:50Speaker 1: mama's think they have something invested because they took you
- 32:52Speaker 1: to all the practices. They were there for everything. So
- 32:56Speaker 1: by the time you make it, they want to speak out,
- 32:58Speaker 1: you know. But why do you want with it? Though? Well,
- 33:01Speaker 1: you want to make it bad for your son? Yeah,
- 33:03Speaker 1: come on now, sit down, watch the game. This is
- 33:06Speaker 1: his time to show. But you can't tell your mama that.
- 33:10Speaker 1: How do you say that to your mama? But you
- 33:17Speaker 1: can't say that to your mama. You just can't. You

- 33:57Speaker 1: this game tonight, it'll be ugly. Can get this thing
- 34:00Speaker 1: out of Oakley. Let me tell you some you can't
- 34:04Speaker 1: come back to Cleveland. Yeah, it's a wrap and then
- 34:08Speaker 1: see if they lose tonight, all the pressures on Gold
- 34:12Speaker 1: is oh yeah, because oh god, we don't want to
- 34:15Speaker 1: get back on this plane and go back up to Cleveland.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Cleveland gonna be going. Man, We're going home. It's a
- 34:21Speaker 1: whole another story. And if they can win this game tonight,
- 34:25Speaker 1: well look, I know it's improbable. I got it. But Lord,
- 34:30Speaker 1: if we do, Lord, if we do, these things are
- 34:35Speaker 1: asking your name, all right, bring her up. Steve is here,
- 34:42Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, ms and trip, thank you, thank you,
- 34:46Speaker 1: Good morning. That's right. It's it's possible, not probably, what
- 34:50Speaker 1: it is possible, so we can cross our thing. Is
- 34:51Speaker 1: everybody out there? Good morning, everybody. This is answered with
- 34:54Speaker 1: the news. California Democratic Center Diane fine Stein on CNN
- 34:57Speaker 1: State of the Union is calling again for the jew
- 35:00Speaker 1: Judiciary Committee to hear testimony involving claims of possible obstruction
- 35:04Speaker 1: of justice by President Trump. There is an opportunity to
- 35:09Speaker 1: look at the law with respect to obstruction of justice,
- 35:14Speaker 1: to hold a hearing and also to have um those
- 35:18Speaker 1: relevant people come before the Judiciary Committee. Of course, Center
- 35:22Speaker 1: find Scenes comment has come on the wake of fired
- 35:24Speaker 1: FBI Director James call Mey's testimony last week before the
- 35:27Speaker 1: Senate Intelligence Committee, raising questions of possible obstruction by the
- 35:30Speaker 1: President and now U S. Attorney General Jeff's Sessions is
- 35:33Speaker 1: scheduled to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee tomorrow. I'm
- 35:37Speaker 1: gonna laugh. Meanwhile, Trump is expected to announced that if
- 35:40Speaker 1: he really has those tapes of his conversations with James Comey,
- 35:43Speaker 1: or if he was just saying that just I don't know,
- 35:45Speaker 1: shake up the tree, or whatever he might have been doing,
- 35:47Speaker 1: we'll see sometime this week. Okay. The Reverend Jesse Jackson
- 35:50Speaker 1: slamming the NFL for refusing to hire Colin Kaepernick, not
- 35:53Speaker 1: even as a backup quarterback. Kaepernick, of course, you remember,
- 35:57Speaker 1: opted out of his contract with the forty nine, is
- 35:59Speaker 1: becoming a free agent. Chose that he's in't choosing rather
- 36:02Speaker 1: to kneel during the playing of the national anthem to
- 36:04Speaker 1: demonstrate his ire and sadness about the ever growing number
- 36:07Speaker 1: of unarmed, mostly black men, but also black women, who
- 36:09Speaker 1: were being killed, mostly by black white cops who were
- 36:12Speaker 1: getting off when they went to court. If they went
- 36:14Speaker 1: to Court. Interracial marriage became legal in the US fifty
- 36:17Speaker 1: years ago today, when a white man named Richard Loving
- 36:20Speaker 1: and his black wife Mildred, forced to leave their native Virginia,
- 36:23Speaker 1: fought for the right to live wherever they wanted as
- 36:25Speaker 1: man and wife before the Supreme Court. Before the Loving's case,
- 36:29Speaker 1: marriage in this country was prohibited, and at least a
- 36:31Speaker 1: third of the states not just between blacks and whites,
- 36:33Speaker 1: but between blacks, between whites and Filipinos, Native Americans, Asians,
- 36:37Speaker 1: Asian Indians, and basically all non whites. Nick Gordon's in
- 36:42Speaker 1: the news again. Nick Gordon, the adopted brother and boyfriend
- 36:45Speaker 1: of the late Bobby Christina Brown, has been arrested for
- 36:47Speaker 1: allegedly beating up his new girlfriend over the weekend in
- 36:49Speaker 1: a jealous rage. Hopson and Sanford, Florida say Gordon and
- 36:52Speaker 1: his lady friend, Laura Leo got into an argument that
- 36:55Speaker 1: turned violent, ending up with Gordon allegurely hitting and punching
- 36:58Speaker 1: the woman in the facing in the back of the head.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Oh no, he says he was abused by her, but
- 37:05Speaker 1: the cops saw the injuries until her to go to
- 37:07Speaker 1: the hospital and sad news. Yeah. Adam West, Adam West
- 37:13Speaker 1: perhaps best remembered for his TV series portrayal of Batman.
- 37:16Speaker 1: He was eighty eight years old. Tom said the box
- 37:19Speaker 1: office for the second weekend and rowe Wonder Woman bringing
- 37:22Speaker 1: in another fifty seven million dollars. Wonder Woman has now
- 37:26Speaker 1: made a whopping four to thirty five million dollars globally.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Tom Cruise is new. When the Mummy was in second
- 37:31Speaker 1: place thirty two million, but he made over a hundred
- 37:33Speaker 1: forty eight million worldwide, especially in China. Today is National
- 37:36Speaker 1: Running Day, National June Bug Day, which I'm a june Bug,
- 37:39Speaker 1: and National Chocolate ice Cream Day Janka Chocka Chacka Day.
- 37:45Speaker 1: We'll be back with Eugene the Butterfly twenty minutes after
- 37:47Speaker 1: the hour. Stay to Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 37:50Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Show. Good. Yeah, really does look a
- 37:57Speaker 1: lot like him, alright, so, Mr Harvey. Last night was
- 38:01Speaker 1: the season premiere of Celebrity Family Feud and That's not
- 38:06Speaker 1: all you own the night, sir. It was also the
- 38:10Speaker 1: premiere of Steve Harvey's Funderdome This Yeah, this is the
- 38:14Speaker 1: seed funding competition reality series were two up and coming
- 38:18Speaker 1: inventors go head to head an audience vote who will
- 38:23Speaker 1: win the money. Okay, the show was fun, it was
- 38:26Speaker 1: clever Steve. There were a lot of winners that we
- 38:29Speaker 1: didn't see coming. For example, during the soap bar pitches,
- 38:34Speaker 1: listen to Latania make her pitch for the v smart bar.
- 38:38Speaker 1: It's an all natural feminine care product. Check it out.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Nearly ladies will experience yeast affection, urinary track infection, and
- 38:46Speaker 1: possibly owner. Okay, brothers, now we know when a cookie
- 38:52Speaker 1: of shed down, the whole house is down. I know.
- 39:00Speaker 1: If you didn't see the show last night, I hope
- 39:02Speaker 1: you did because you missed Steve Harvey's face. This was
- 39:06Speaker 1: classic Steve Harvey anyway you look at it. Steve, you
- 39:11Speaker 1: were mortified at that moment. So you don't know who's
- 39:18Speaker 1: coming out before I do. I just need him for
- 39:24Speaker 1: the first time, and the audience decides who gets the funding.
- 39:30Speaker 1: You have a choice at the end. You don't know
- 39:34Speaker 1: who the audience voted for. Five people in that what
- 39:36Speaker 1: I paid, You don't know who they voted for. So
- 39:39Speaker 1: I'll give you a chance to cash out. Offer you
- 39:41Speaker 1: money on this week and you could take the money
- 39:45Speaker 1: and walk away, or you can't. They voted for you.
- 39:47Speaker 1: If they voted for you and the money. If they
- 39:49Speaker 1: didn't vote for you, you go home with nothing. So
- 39:55Speaker 1: it was well, yeah, run it was right, Jay. She
- 40:01Speaker 1: was two soap contenders. LaToya was one, and there was
- 40:05Speaker 1: a son and a mom contesting for the other soap
- 40:08Speaker 1: um thing pitch. So anyway, when Steve offered them the
- 40:13Speaker 1: chance to cash out, the guys on the other team
- 40:16Speaker 1: cashed out because they said they like Latania's products. Because
- 40:20Speaker 1: the young man said, my girlfriend needs that. I was like, yeah,
- 40:30Speaker 1: I'll cash out because my girlfriend needs that. All right,
- 40:33Speaker 1: Latania one, she won ten thousand dollars for her products. Yeah,
- 40:38Speaker 1: she gave a pitch. You tell ABC Trials dot Com
- 40:46Speaker 1: how much money you're looking to take your business to
- 40:48Speaker 1: the next level. Some people looking for ten thousand, twenty thousand,
- 40:52Speaker 1: fifty hundred. You apply. We put the two together. That's
- 40:56Speaker 1: looking for the same amount of money, but pitching in
- 40:58Speaker 1: the same area. And then that's how it works, O lord. Alright,
- 41:05Speaker 1: coming up next, Jay, Anthony Brown is going to murder
- 41:09Speaker 1: another hit. Yes, so we'll be back at after you're listening. Alright, Steve,
- 41:18Speaker 1: introduce your boy, ladies and gentlemen. As you hired him certainly,
- 41:30Speaker 1: thank you. Alright. First of all, I got in to

- 42:13Speaker 1: about a stale. Is that how you're saying her name?

- 48:32Speaker 1: we've been you know, a little back and forth or whatever.

- 51:05Speaker 1: I got kids already. What I'm trying to say is
- 51:08Speaker 1: it didn't work out with me on the first time.
- 51:10Speaker 1: What I wanted to do, man, it just called you.

- 52:10Speaker 1: rust mind. I'm not gonna sit there and go back
- 52:13Speaker 1: and forth with you, Mrs Me and Crystal getting married.
- 52:16Speaker 1: That will not happen under any circumstances, not what you think.
- 52:20Speaker 1: The circumstances are me and Crystal getting married. That's it.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Not the love. I know what you think. You as
- 52:27Speaker 1: long to you, how about what that's gotta be. I
- 52:30Speaker 1: got one more thing I need to say, and then
- 52:32Speaker 1: me and Crystal just gonna come over there and dry
- 52:35Speaker 1: down there and tell you exactly what's going on in
- 52:37Speaker 1: our life right now. You got to say to me,
- 52:40Speaker 1: Are you listening to me? What you got to say
- 52:43Speaker 1: to me? I got to say this. That is nephew
- 52:47Speaker 1: Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got
- 52:50Speaker 1: pranked by your daughter, Crystal and her boyfriend. I ain't
- 52:59Speaker 1: the job looking at me like I'm crazy. Man, Your
- 53:12Speaker 1: baby girl just wanted to put a smile on your face. Man,
- 53:15Speaker 1: I gotta ask you what he is. What is the
- 53:17Speaker 1: baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in the land.
- 53:23Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Oh, he's gonna get it one day soon.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Holding me, I'd have been the gun. Come on, uncle Steve, Hey,
- 53:42Speaker 1: listen our girl, Mary J. Blige Um. Mary was ordered
- 53:46Speaker 1: to pay thirty thousand dollars per month and spiles the
- 53:49Speaker 1: support to her cheating ex husband. What the judgment is
- 54:00Speaker 1: temporary and it's much less than nine plus a thousand
- 54:06Speaker 1: that kind originally asked for. The court apparently found that
- 54:09Speaker 1: he was entitled to the money since he was used
- 54:12Speaker 1: to a certain lifestyle. Mary J. Will also have to
- 54:16Speaker 1: cough up retroactive spiles of support dating back to September
- 54:20Speaker 1: and attorney's fees. Dang, does she look kind of lawyer?
- 54:23Speaker 1: The judge was also uh. Judge also was noted that
- 54:28Speaker 1: the couple lived beyond their means while they were married
- 54:30Speaker 1: and have to pay back millions in taxes. Oh, she
- 54:36Speaker 1: could pay taxes if she didn't have to pay this
- 54:38Speaker 1: child spousal support. Anybody having to pay money? Take my
- 54:44Speaker 1: mic out. Yeah, this is not right. It's just isn't
- 54:53Speaker 1: this situation? He had a good attorney apparently, you know,
- 55:01Speaker 1: mm hmmm, I don't know. I mean, he's gotta pay
- 55:06Speaker 1: retroactive sponsible support dating back to September, and she's got
- 55:10Speaker 1: to pay his attorneys fees. This is not right. This
- 55:14Speaker 1: is just not right now. Is it not right because
- 55:16Speaker 1: it's a woman or yes, yes, yes I paid. We
- 55:25Speaker 1: speak on it. But you know, I think because it
- 55:29Speaker 1: is a woman, that it just reeks of unfairness. I guess, yeah,
- 55:34Speaker 1: you know, And I can understand what people are coming from.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Good for the goose, and because we love Mary j
- 55:42Speaker 1: you know, we love we love her. We don't want
- 55:45Speaker 1: her to have to go through you know. Me as
- 55:49Speaker 1: a guy, you know, I just get going, you know. Yeah, alright,
- 55:55Speaker 1: coming up the Strawberry Letters subject she was determined to
- 56:00Speaker 1: have my child. We'll be back. You're listening to the
- 56:03Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Show. Jears come women to the honors. Absolutely, everybody,
- 56:09Speaker 1: sit back, book up tight. It's time for the Strawberry
- 56:11Speaker 1: Letter with my girls. Sure to straw Berry thank you.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Subject she was determined to have my child. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Three years ago, I decided I was going to leave
- 56:23Speaker 1: my wife because she had some addiction issues. Prior to
- 56:27Speaker 1: leaving my wife, I'm met a lady at a business convention.
- 56:31Speaker 1: She was like a breath of fresh air, and we
- 56:33Speaker 1: got along great. I ended up leaving my wife and
- 56:36Speaker 1: moving in with her. The only problem was a moment
- 56:40Speaker 1: I got there, she wanted to have a child. I
- 56:43Speaker 1: told her that it was too soon, but she wouldn't
- 56:46Speaker 1: take no for an answer. After a few months of
- 56:49Speaker 1: being with her, my wife begged me to come home
- 56:52Speaker 1: and she promised that she was sober. I returned home,
- 56:56Speaker 1: and my wife has been sober since. Shortly after I
- 56:59Speaker 1: got back with my wife, I got a text from
- 57:02Speaker 1: the other woman and was a picture of a positive
- 57:04Speaker 1: pregnancy test. I replied, congratulations, and she texted back, it's yours.
- 57:12Speaker 1: We never had sex without a condom, and I know
- 57:15Speaker 1: they never popped. So I asked her how could she
- 57:18Speaker 1: be pregnant by me, and she replied. I did what
- 57:22Speaker 1: I had to do despite my confusion. I was there
- 57:26Speaker 1: for her throughout the pregnancy. After the baby was born,
- 57:30Speaker 1: I knew he was mine. I confirmed it with a
- 57:34Speaker 1: d n A test. I love this child and I
- 57:37Speaker 1: spend time with him, but I have a lot of resentment.
- 57:40Speaker 1: I still can't see how this happened, and she won't
- 57:44Speaker 1: talk about it. I've never told anyone that she stole
- 57:47Speaker 1: my sperm. I am very angry about this. Is there
- 57:51Speaker 1: some legal action that I can take against her? This
- 57:54Speaker 1: is killing me inside? Please help? Wow. Well, first of all,
- 57:59Speaker 1: I have to say to your wife, she has one understanding,
- 58:03Speaker 1: uh woman, and I hope she stays sober. But um, listen,
- 58:07Speaker 1: I know you're angry. I know you're hurt. I know
- 58:09Speaker 1: you feel betray set up, etcetera, etcetera. But but there
- 58:13Speaker 1: is a baby involved here. There's a baby that's been
- 58:15Speaker 1: born here, and that's what's most important right now and
- 58:19Speaker 1: for the next eighteen years and beyond um. And you know,
- 58:24Speaker 1: come on, you're grown. You know that abstinence is the
- 58:27Speaker 1: only sure way not to get pregnant. And yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 58:31Speaker 1: she tricked you, she played you, she used you, she
- 58:34Speaker 1: stole your sperm. All of that. She was wrong, She
- 58:37Speaker 1: was deceitful. She was evil for doing this. I mean
- 58:39Speaker 1: really she was. But you had all kinds of clues
- 58:43Speaker 1: that this could possibly happen the moment you moved in.
- 58:46Speaker 1: You said that she kept bugging you about having a child. Uh.
- 58:50Speaker 1: And it takes two to make a baby, I mean,
- 58:52Speaker 1: no matter how you look at it, and no matter
- 58:55Speaker 1: how the baby got here. In a court of law,
- 58:57Speaker 1: the judge will consider the best interest of the child.
- 59:00Speaker 1: I mean, and so should you at this point. As
- 59:03Speaker 1: angry as you are with this woman, she is now
- 59:05Speaker 1: the mother of your child, a child who is innocent,
- 59:08Speaker 1: a child who needs both their parents, A child that
- 59:11Speaker 1: you love and take care of. I commend you for that.
- 59:13Speaker 1: So you're going to have to be an adult here.
- 59:16Speaker 1: You're gonna have to move out of your feelings. You're
- 59:18Speaker 1: going to have to learn how to forgive so you
- 59:21Speaker 1: can be the best father to your child. Steve, Steve, Oh,
- 59:31Speaker 1: we obviously read two different women. Mm hmm. I see
- 59:38Speaker 1: what you're saying. From the practical standpoint, surely, uh huh.
- 59:44Speaker 1: I do not understand how his wife is an understanding woman.
- 59:50Speaker 1: He left her because she was a junkie. Junkies get
- 59:55Speaker 1: lim of addiction issues. This is what he said. You
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: call it whatever you want to. I'm calling it what
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: he called it. Her air was a junkie. He didn't
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: he didn't want to live with your junk in normal.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: So it went on the business trip and he met
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: this woman. Yeah, she was like a breath of fresh air.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: You know what that fresh air was. She wasn't a junkie.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: We got along grade. I ended up leaving my wife
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: and moving in with her. Now he had four probably forewarned.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: His wife said, if you don't get some help on
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: my hand to leave, I can't. She never got help.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: He left, but he met this woman at a business convention.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: He don't say how long it was, but she moved in.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: He moved in with her. The only problem was the
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: moment he got there. Man, she wanted to have a child,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: and our toy it was too soon. She wanted to
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: have a child. Now. You didn't think she wanted nothing
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: when you moved in. You thought you're just gonna move
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: all your stuff in. There ain't no rid, nothing, you're
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: not eating for up at refrigerator. You're laying in bed,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: all that nothing. She wanted a baby. She'd been wanting
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: the baby a long time. She didn't mention your business man,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: you have to convention. You it. You are gonna be
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: the sperm donor. So you did what you had to do. Now,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: after a few months of being with her, your wife
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: begged me to come home, and she promised she was soaper.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: M hmm. You returned home because you love your wife
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: and your wife being sober ever since. Well after you
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: got back with the wife, you got a text from
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: the other woman picture of a positive pregnancy test. You replied, congratulations.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: She text back and says, yours. Why was she sending
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: you the picture or the pregnancy? Tell what are you
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: talking about? Some damn congratulate You thought you throw her off?
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: I'm happy was gonna throw her off with congratulations. Click
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: in the text. You're gonna get another damn text if
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: she yours. We never had sex without a condom, and
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: I know they never popped. Mm hmm. I asked her
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: how she could be pregnant me. She said, I did
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: what I had to do. This is the key in
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: this whole thing. I did what I had to do.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Now let's talk about what she did. Let me ask
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: you something, homie. When you was through, what happened and
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: with the condom? Now have your attention please? Mm hmm.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: What happened? No, no, no, she didn't steal them. He
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: gave it to her. Now what happened to the Also,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: there's some other things that popped off to mm hmm.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I could be more graphic, but I'm not. She got it.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: You turned to DNA tests. It's your damn baby. What
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: what is the letter? Fall m is anything legal? I
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: tell you what you can do when we come back
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: and ain't much of nothing. You can stick around if
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: you want her. You can gonna hang up, get to
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: sit in that child support on what I'm talking about.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: You're listening, Steve Harvey. All right, coming up at forty
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: one after the At forty one after the hour, we'll
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: talk about ice Cube's appearance on Bill mar this past day,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: after all that controversy last week. But up next, right now,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: I should say, come on, Steve, Part two of your
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: response to today's Strawberry letter. She was determined, was determined
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: to have my job. Had some problems with his woman.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: He's married to a junk and she couldn't. He kept
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: getting high, he said, he keep on, I'm gonna leave you.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: He left. Met a woman at a business convention. They corroborated,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: collaborated and corrobor reading together. He then moved in. As
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: soon as he got in, she made an announcement she
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: won't to have a child right now. He said, too soon.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: His wife, in the meantime sobers up, calls him back
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: and tells him she wants him back, and benched him back,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: and he loves his wife. He goes back. He went
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: back because he was tired of the baby pressure. I'd
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: rather go stay with the junking than to be in
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: here to keep talking about this baby every day. But
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: you're doing baby making things the whole time you there.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: She putting it on you. You accepted. After he gets
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: back to his wife, she's very sober. It's the call
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: from the woman sends a text a picture of a
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: positive pregnancy test. I replied, congratulations, thinking that would shut
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: it down. I'm happy for you, She said, it's yours.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Never had sex without a condom. I know they never popped.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: So I asked her how could she be pregnant by me?
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: And she replied I did what I had to do
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: that Despite the confusion, he was there for her throughout
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: the pregnancy. After the baby was born, I knew he
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: was mine. I confirmed it with the DNA tests. I
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: love this child. I spend time with him, but I
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: have a lot of resentment. I can't see how this happened,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: but she won't talk about it. I never told anybody
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: she stole my sperm. You gave it to her. Question
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: no more one, what happened with the condom when it
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: was over. Question number two, did she do other things
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: to you? Oh? Man, if she did, there you have
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: it's everywhere. Okay, everybody following me. Answer. So now she
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: kept hold to it in her hands and in another place,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: she went to the bathroom and put it where it
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: needed to be. You can stop asking her how she
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: did it. She told you she did what she had
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: to do because she wanted a baby, and you it
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: now the kids. You love the child, and you spend
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: time with him. Problem is you have a lot of resentment.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: You're mad at her. She won't talk about it, give
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: you no answers. She's not going to so dog, your
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: question is is there some legal action I can take? Hell? No,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: I don't know how you're gonna go to court and explain,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: because all she got to do is say I'm pregnant
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: and his head and we had consensual sex. And what
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: you're gonna say, it's yours. The DNA proved it. See dog.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: The thing about seeing that I've had to learn in
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: my life it costs you more than you want to
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: pay and make you stay longer than you want to stay.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: That's the problem with it. Oh, don't we all who
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: in here can't bear witness to that sin cost you
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: more than you want to pay and makes you stay
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: longer than you want to stay and having a good time.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I can't figure out how to held this baby mine.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: We can't. So that's it, my friend. Stop looking at
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: It's not. Part of getting past the resentment is acceptance
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: that you had sex with this woman and she has
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: nickeled it, and she has this baby and it is yours.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: The resentment for her may not go away, but the
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: acceptance of the child will help, because obviously this child
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: was meant to be, whether you meant for it not
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: to be with the condom, or she told you. She
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: didn't tell you what she was doing with your goods.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: But he's here, Yeah, he doesn't know any of this.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: He doesn't understand it. You can't even explain it to him.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: Love your son, treat him right. Might as well treat
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: her right, because you remember, now, hold on dog, You
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: left your wife at a moment when she was down
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: and went with this woman that didn't have no problems
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: because she was the breath of fresh air. But all
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: of them is problems. Though then when you found out
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: the problems was molding, you want it, your wife begged
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: you back, you went back. Oh you played both sides
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: of the fifth The only problem with both sides of
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: the fist. Both sides got your footprints in the grass.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Let the church say, man, oh boy, oh. So see
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: when you left your wife. You started this when you
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: moved in with that other woman and you were still married.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: You started this when you want wife got herself together
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: and begged you back, and you went back, and you
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: thought you'd just leave this woman behind because you through playing.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: You started this. See, dog, all this come back to
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: you making decisions with the wrong head. That's what happened,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: thanking with the wrong Yeah. And I can tell you
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: for a fact, he's so damn stupid. He has no
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: business leading to thinking because he is ignorant. He don't
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: care about all the facts. He is ignorant. Fellas, you
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about. You know how stupid he is. Stupid?
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: To him? Dog, he when did it become a good idea?
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Do it now? Okay, babe yourself, don't listen. You're listening
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, we
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: talked about this last week as the first episode of
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: the comedian show following his controversial use of a racial
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: slur on air this past Friday night's broadcasts of Real
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: Time with Bill Maher. Bill apologized as he discussed the
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: issue with his special guests, which included author and sociological
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: academic Michael Eric Dyson and of course, hip hop legend
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: our friend and family member Ice Cube. Cube had a
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: lot to say. Take a listen to Bill and Cube comedians.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: They react and it was wrong, and I apologized, and
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: you know more than that, I can't do accept your apology,
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: but I still I think we need to get to
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: the root of the psyche because I think it's a
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: lot of guys out there who across the line because
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: they a little too familiar, or they think they're too familiar,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: or it's guys that you know, you might have a
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: black girlfriend, the two that made them cool, laid every
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: now and then, and they think they get cross the
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: line and they can't. You know, it's a word that
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: has been used against this It's like a knife, man,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: and you can use it as a weapon, or you
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: can use it as a tool. It's been used as
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: a weapon against us by white people, and we're not
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: gonna let that happen. Again by nobody, because it's not
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: cool it now. I know you heard it's in an
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: it's at Elexicon, everybody talking. But that's our word now,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: that's our word now, and you can't have it back.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: I know they're trying to get it back this guy.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: And I'm not talking about you, Bill. I'm not talking
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: about you Bill, but I'm talking about guys cool cross
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: the line every day because they got some black homies,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: they got some friends. They think it's cool, and it's
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: not cool because when I hear my homies said, they
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: don't feel like venom, when I hear a white person said,
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: it feels like that knife stabbing me, even if they
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: don't mean it. So you know, I like this show
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: and it's a great show. All right. Yeah, I think
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: he explains it. I mean, I'm with him, with him,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: I forgive apology. We disagreed, Jack, Yeah, I mean, we
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: can't keep singing it and have a little white kids
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: by music with the word in it. And don't think
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: ain't not going to use it. It's a double sided sword.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: We're singing it. White kids are buying a large majority
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: of the black music, and so they think they can
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: say it. How are we gonna put it to rhyme
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: into music and then get mad when people use it
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: back at us. It ain't going nowhere. Ever, It's never
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: gonna be stopped being used on both sides. That's I mean,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: here's here's the deal. What you're saying is true, and
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: I've always said that myself. We can't give it to
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: him and then want it back. What cubas saying is
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: the word is ours now, we're not giving it back. That.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: I understand where he's coming from, because it does sound
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: totally different when a white says it that black. It
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: sounds totally different because he knew that we know the
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: origin of the word, what it's dimmed from. Now black
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: people have took it and use it like Hugh say
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: when his homies said it don't sound like venom to him,
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: it don't. I use the word all the time. I'm
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: not hypocritical about it at all. I use it all
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: the time, but I use I use it around people
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: that I know. You know, I've got a lot of
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: DVDs out there, a lot of comedy specials. Ain't never
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: heard me said one time on it. Because of the
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: way Jay is explaining it. I don't want to give
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: it to you in the joke for him, and you
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: give it back to me what you think as a
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: joke for him, because I ain't gonna think it's funny. Conscious. Yeah,
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: as comedians didn't Richard Pryor say, I'm one of his
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: standards and he said he wasn't going to use anything.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: He went to Africa and he said, no one called
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: each other the N word, and he decided that he
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: wouldn't use it anymore. See, everybody got to come to
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: the realization of their own now deprived. Stopped saying it
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: in his day to day. I don't know, but he
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: stopped saying it on his specials. I never said it
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: on the special, but I say it in my day
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: to day. But like like Cube say, when my boy said,
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: I don't feel no venom. You know what, when somebody
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: white says you're right. Most of my friends that's older,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: like Rico and Butcher, I hardly ever see them saying no,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: they got insurance agencies and stuff. I hardly ever hear
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: them saying me. On the other hand, I'll let him
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: have it. You know, I'm not gonna be hypocritical, but
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: I don't do it on TV on the radio. I
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: don't do it on my comedy shows because it's an
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: internal thing and I don't want nobody saying it back
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: to me because I ain't gonna handle it the same way. Right?
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Is it a term of endearment, Steve, when you say
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: it to your boys? Is that? And I think that's
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: what man on. I think that's what missing every month,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: that's what they're missing that you know, we turned such
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: a hateful word, you know, such a racial word, a
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: racist word endearment. And my mama's funeral, I cannot count
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: the time hustles and hood cats and pimps was hugging
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: me and while we was hugging, that word came up.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: It was an endearment. And you always been mim man,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: then you're gonna be good man hanging there in I mean,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: just at my mama funeral, the tears on their face
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: and then your mom was good men show sorry by
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: miss hearty man, man, I do that my mama fun him. Man,
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: y'all need to pray for it. Man, I ain't doing.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: I'm I'm going, hey 'all ain't cool with none of it.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: But what Cuba saying is a fact, like he said,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: and never had it this way, but it's ourd now
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: we're not giving it that Internet, but there are. But
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: then he threw a jam at Bill mar too. He said,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: some people think because they got a couple of black
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: girlfriend because you know, Bill mar Day, black chick. Yeah, comfortable.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: That's why I truly believe he said it because of that,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: because theftability level. Yeah, and he's a good guy as
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: a comedian. He crossed the line, you know. But he's
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: all right, let's go to this jam right now. You're
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, this
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: is your time right here, one of your Yeah, one
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: of your favorite segments. You love, asked Steve. Call us
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: if you have a question for Steve. Eight seven seven nine, Steve,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: you're ready. Let's go to the phones. Let's talk to um.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Let's go to line one. Talk to g G out
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: of New York. Kay. Hello, Hello a voice somebody? Hi?
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: You called me right on that. Hello, Mr Hardy in
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: the morning Club. How are you? We're doing wonderful? H
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: what's your question of coming? I just have a quick
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: um story to tell you. Um. My dad told me
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: the story when I was a teenager. It was in
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: reference to his family working on the farm as a
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: young boy. Um up in the South and the farm
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: was owned by a white man, of course, so um
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: he said his dad had gotten ill while they were
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: working out in the film, had became ill. So my
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: dad wanted to take him, his father to the hospital,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: and the owner of the farm said to him, get
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: your ass back to work m hm, at anywhere. And
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: my dad answered him with for me that again, I
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: will kill you where you stand. So why I don't
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: understand why is this such a word that's used as
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: a term of endearment for black people? M Well, I
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: can't answer that question for you, because, um, I think,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: almost as Cube said, we a lot of us took
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: the word back and we reinvented it. That don't make
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: it right or that don't make it have to be
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: acceptable or agreeable to anyone. It's just the way it is.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: I didn't, um, you know, from from my personal standpoint,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: it's what it is. It's not a derogatory term amongst
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: me and my friends. And I'm just being just you know,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: just saying it just not to be hypocritical. Um. I
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: think the public use of it is different. It shouldn't be.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: It shouldn't exist. But like j Anthony Brown said, I mean, man,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: come on, we can't keep putting it to a song
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: and to joke and didn't expect when somebody tell the
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: joke not to repeat it, or when they sing the
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: song or the rap not to repeat the rap the
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: way you wrote it. It's kind of hard. So I
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: understand what you're saying. I definitely do. You're absolutely correct
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: and feeling what you feel. I think correct. I think
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: you touched on something too, Steve, thank you, Guji that
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: maybe it shouldn't be in music anymore because I think
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: off the air Carlo made the statement that you went
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: to a concert and uh, it was in the songs
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: and there were a lot of white people in the audience,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: and they were singing the N word because that's the
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: word that was in the song, and you were feeling
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: some kind of way. You know, me and my husband
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: we were they're uncomfortable with that, ready to fight, ready set?
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: We looked around and yeah, yeah. But I think also
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: what Cube was trying to say was that or what
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: he said so eloquently, let me just say that was
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: that when we use it like that, or when you know,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: black people use it you take the power, you diminish
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: the power that negativity. What it's good for, you know,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: back from back in slavery times. Let's go to line
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: three and talk to Benita out of North Carolina. Yes,
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: good morning family, how y'all doing good? Question or comment?
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: Darling comment in reference to the N word. Um, you know,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: everybody's taking it so personal, but if you look at
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: the dictionary, it doesn't anybody statistically it's a lazy person. Well,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: I don't see, you know, I understand in reference to
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: the slazy times in this that the other. But we
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: know who we are, then it really shouldn't be that
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: big of the issue. Mm hmm. She's right about the definition.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: You mean, lazy ignorant person in the in the dictionary
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: is a lazy ignorant person. And I have to like
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: friends myself well as I will. You know, I called
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: up the N word, you know, because I know I'm not.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: I'm not ignorant. You call your wife friends the N word.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: I'm not being worried. I'm not I'm not lazy, I'm
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: not ignorant. I'm not you know. So I've been right
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: by my uncle the whole time. Here, Junior, I'm just
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: that I called that all the time my uncle he
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: another not just next question show, Let's go to line forward,
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: Dr Rowland, Hello rolland what should comment on question? Uh?
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: Kind of both. First of all, I want to say, uh,
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: the morning to the Crew's my first time going. I
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: tried many times to get through. This's my first time
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: once a good wanting everybody, UM my thing is UM,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: I don't I don't use it. I used it as
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: when I was young coming up, and then you know,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: after seeing a lot of things on TV, and you know,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: just watching stuff like The Underground, and I just don't
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: use the word anymore. And when people, you know, say
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: I have a lot of friends that do use it,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: and when they say it to me, I always tell him,
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: you know, I'm not that, and I wish that you
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: don't call me that, you know, And and I teach
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: my kids that please don't use that word. My son
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: is a rapper and it's hard for him. You know,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: he uses it. I asked him not to, but he
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: still used it because you know, this is what rappers do.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: And I think that if it's just taken out of
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: like everything is nobody used it. It was making so
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: much better because I think that we've we've gone gone
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: through this so much, and there's so much pain and
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: involved in it. And I think that if if a
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: person says it to me was black, it hurts just
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: as much as a white person. That's just me, Yes, wow,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: that's interesting. We will do a thousand. I think if
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: we could all stop saying it, I would stop saying.
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: But it's eight dudes, don't we just go when we
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: see each it's just going. There's just eight of us
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: in that circle. In that circle's old site. They get it.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: I'm one of them. It hasn't started with you. I'm one,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: I know, so stopping of it has to start with
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: you rolling the thing and just don't be around. He'd
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: be glad to see me too. Scan us for one.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: All right, when we come back more, asked Steve. All Right,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, we're
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: in the middle of asked Steve. Call us if you
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: have any questions for Steve at eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: I've we've been talking about the use of the N word,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: the usage of the N word this point. You can
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: ask him about anything, though, I'm Steve, you ready to
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: take more calls. Yeah, all right, what do you want
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: on Instagram called Spice Adams he's doing the NBA Finals.
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: Uh well, I'm holly, I'm HOLLI man, alright, go ahead,
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: let's all right, Yeah, I'm gonna need you to pay
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: attention to it right now. Let's go to line seven
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: and talk to us. Sing out of New York. She's
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: been holding for a while, thing seeing hello, Okay, Hello, yeah, hello.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: What's your question or comment? Okay, okay, I want to
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: make a comment about this N word thing. I'm hearing
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: people and celebrities in general, and including you too, Steve,
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: You are saying the terms of endearments. This is a
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: word that it's acceptable. This is a word that says ignorant, unteachable, dumb, dumb.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: That's why I interpret that word. We have other rappers
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: and other ethnic groups. They never Spanish people don't use
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: the S word, Chinese people don't call themselves the C word,
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: and on and on. But we choose as a people
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: to adopt this word and said, is okay because it's
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: a term of endearment. This is a word that is
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: a disgrace. I wouldn't call you an a whole and
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: call it okay a term of endearment. How dare I
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: call you an n and say it's okay and you
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: mind that is insane? Okay, Well, I mean, I I
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: accept what you're saying, brother, that's fine. But I'm just
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: talking about me I do. I'm just saying without being
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: hyppo hypocritical. I'm just telling you how I do it,
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: how I am. I'm just doing it without being hypocritical.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: I could lie to you and tell you I'll never
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: use it, because you ain't never heard me saying it.
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: Ain't on under my tapes, TV shows, videos, stand up
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: thirty two years of stand up, ain't nobody heard me said.
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: I'm just telling you. In my personal life with my
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: dear friends, we talked like that all the time, and
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: I got it. People don't have to agree. You don't
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: got to do it. I'm okay with that. I understand.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: I respect what you're saying. I think you're absolutely fine
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: thinking what you're thinking. I really do. I'm just making
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: a statement. I ain't saying you got to accept it
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: like where I am handle it the way I handle it.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: I think you should continue to feel exactly the way
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: you feel. I really do. I think it's healthy. I
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: wish more people felt like you. I'm just telling you
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: I don't with the use of the word with my
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: cats that I grew up with the way we are.
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: That's that's how we talk to each other. And I
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: understand what you're saying. I appreciate it. I wish everybody
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: felt like that. Hell, I kind of wish I felt
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: like that. I just don't. Okay, Okay, he's saying celebrities
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: and you once you say me, then you know this.
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: I didn't give damn what you thought about the rest
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: of he said. You see. See, See the one thing
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: I like. I like personal confrontation, and I respect a
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: man to call in on the show and say what
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: he said. And I've had a most respect for him,
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: and I think he's want her to present correct. I
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: would rather a man talk to me to my face
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: and like these cowards that's got these keyboards and typing
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: stuff about me and don't even know me. I'm an
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: uncle Tom, a coon and all that. I'd rather you
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: call in and say it, because I bet if you
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: call me and you get through saying it, I bet
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: when we get through talking, I bet you feel different. Okay,
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: I swear to god, I'll flip it about something about
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: your personal sea. Yeah, alright, everybody, Yeah, everybody calmed down
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: and we'll be back. You're listening to all right, Um, Steve,
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: tomorrow's the day I got here fast huh where I'm
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: talking about mentoring of course? Um, your mentoring camp opens
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: tomorrow first day. Wow, right after the radio showed in
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: that evening, they'll come in. Yeah, it's only were changing
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: Boys Live. That's real cool. Yeah, we started changing boys live.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: Two boys. Well, that's a love. Give up your game.
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: I think what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: create a program walk and do thousands. Mm hmm. Outstanding Steve.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: It's coming, it's coming. I'm gonna get it done. I'm
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: determined to get it done. It has to done. We've
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: got to help these young boys change the line. That's right.
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: And if you'd like to help, if you'd like to
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: help and support and everything. If you want to help, Steve,
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: tell them how to do that. They can text hut
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: and hit like you want to text somebody, hit the
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: little right a text button on the line to text
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: on the line that says to just type of nine
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: one in the block. That says message type of Stephen,
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: press seeing and tell you what to do. Any donation
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: will help man. Anything you can give another goal to
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: change the boys and girls period. I do not take
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: a salary. I have to pay people to do certain things.
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: Of course, you know you can't put up a tent
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: for free. Everybody don't care. Everybody don't care about the kids.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: I asked him people to bring all in portable showers
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: and bathrooms out there. They charge. The people who make
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: the t shirts charge, camping equipment charge, beds, cots charges charge.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: I gotta bring in three hundred beds. Man, I bring
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: in a lot. Man's see for someone who doesn't know,
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: who's never been to the mentoring camp before, just tell them,
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: just you know, give us a little overview of what
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: it's like. I mean, I bring two fifty boys. I
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: bring their mothers. They're all single mothers who are raising
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: boys without the help of a man. I know that's hard,
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: So I get the women in hand. I keep their
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: boys for a week. The mothers get off, they go
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: over to UH We feed them to come to the
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: first dinner together, the boys and the moms. We give
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: them an overview of what's gonna happen a little bit
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: later on. We separate them. The moms go to hotels,
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: the boys stay at the camp. I pitched tents. I
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: had facilities last year, but I lost that place. So
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: I after pitch tents, bring in showers, bathrooms, everything. Um,
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: you know, I gotta bring everything in. I got these
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: boys out here, they got a shower every day, they
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: got used bathroom. I gotta feed them. Uh you try
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: feeding two and fifty boys and two and fifty mothers.
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: Very expensive. And we get them in there and we
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: teach them about two things, manhood and dreams. That's it.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: When you do some to all types of successful men,
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: from the military to IBM, to Ford Motor Company, to
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: stay farm everywhere, and they just and every boy leaves
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: with the mentor a phone number of a man that
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: they've you know, built a bond with. All Right, I
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: will talk more about it. For details, go to Harvey
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: Foundation dot com. You're listening to all right, Steve, I'm
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: gonna do something like that too, And I'm gonna do
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna do your life story. I might just do
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: a comeback tool just called something real crazy, some like,
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: you know, a comeback to coback because all eyes on me.
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: Uh yeah, uh huh okay, uh one more thing, one
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: last thing, just one more thing, Steve, French fries, it
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: says may kill you. This is according to a study
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: published in the American Journal of Clinical We all love, love,
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: love fries. Come on now. Yeah. This is a study
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. It's suggesting
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: that if you eat fries at least twice a week,
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: it could increase I don't know if you're ready for
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: this could increase your risk of death. Wow, wow, well hey,
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: this is an eight year study. They've been studying this
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: for eight years. It followed the fried potato eating habits
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: of forty four volunteers between the ages of forty five
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: and seventy nine, and found that those who ate fries
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: twice a week increase their risk of death more than
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: double those who didn't. There is one bit of good
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: news in the study, though. It turns out if you
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: don't want to die, you don't have to give up
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: potatoes altogether. Just the fried ones. Okay, you can boil them,
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: you can bake them, you can mash them. They showed
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: no increased risk of death at all at least until
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: another study, of course tells is differently. But right now,
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: twice a week eat other stuff. There's not yell yeah burgers, yeah,
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: fried chicken. But once a week it's cool. Who do
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: you have to study? Like I said, it was published
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, if they study
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: forty people? Fries? Hell yeah, my very case. And I
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: was going to use him every day, but you got
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: to come back. Sorry, But yeah, there's yeah, baked fries, fries,
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: but they don't it's not like French fries. You you get,
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: you just have to fry. Chicken is one of them. Yes, chicken,
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, baked wings, it's all right, yeah right,
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: but you fried in things. Get that hot sauce. If
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: there was a big chicken and waffle, they'd go out
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: of business. I'm gonna be oh this week, barbecuing and
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: grilling and stuff. My two famous sandwiches will be on
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: display all week. What what is your favorite? What is
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: your favorite sandwich? I can't tell you how doing because
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: people are trying to steal them? Okay what either? No,
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: I can't do it until I register because people would
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: take my stuff. I made a mistake already. I said
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: something on the radio. Next thing, I know, somebody pick
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: made it the domain name that after that, so he
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: can't please please, Steve, I sent you a lot of it,
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: lots have different level pepper, And when did you send it?
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: It's gone, it's then it's then at the camp, hats
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: waiting on you? Is this your to this didn't get
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: them to my house? What what was I supposed to say?
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: Said to who? You has so much going on? Much
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: going on, man, it's crazy. But I would just get
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: on off because I got some packing to do. No,
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: you can't get off. I got to go right now.
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: I got man, because you want to be ready for
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: the boys. You know, Steve looks like Indiana Jones when Hyeah,
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: he has a hat, he has the slacks, he has
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: the machete, that's all of that. Yeah, looks crazy Indiana
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: Jones in front of the house. Huh, what'd you say?
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: See at this camp I'm doing this year, there's a
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: lake right in front of the house that I'm staying in.
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: I'm staying in the house last year. Didn't have a
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: lock on that dough Yeah, it wasn't no lock on
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: the door. I mean, wasn't even a doe knob just
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: to even make you. You didn't have to turn. Then
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: you just push these double doors open, and now I
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: will there laying up their naked you sleep, nude? Yeah, sleep.
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: I bet the mosquitoes ten yell, and I know what
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: to do. I'm a country boy. Mosquitoes int y'all house country,
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: But I'm know how to get rid of all that
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: answer all, I ain't dealing with that. Man, Well, how
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: do you get rid of mosquitoes? Hang that water bag?
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: That water bag? What water band? Put that water in
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: and drop them pennies in there like a little ziplock
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: band ziplock. Wait a minute, await from where y'all sitting there,
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: eyes away from your food. Here's another tip of you

- 1:40:11Speaker 1: and then sprinkle all over the top of it. Then
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: crushed red peppers, you know, a little pepper flakes, sprinkle
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: at on top of the vinegar. Set that in meddal
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: table won't have a flow over there when your head.
