- 0:01Speaker 1: Minnesota's Somali fraud scandal has exploded, and now the FBI
- 0:07Speaker 1: Director Cash Ptel is confirming that the FBI has surged
- 0:12Speaker 1: personnel and investigative resources to Minnesota to dismantle the large
- 0:18Speaker 1: scale fraud schemes exploiting federal programs, describing the current events
- 0:23Speaker 1: as just a tip of a very large iceberg. The
- 0:28Speaker 1: new claim is hundreds of millions in fake daycares, your
- 0:33Speaker 1: tax dollars going to these centers, all of this being
- 0:37Speaker 1: exposed by a twenty three year old YouTuber who did
- 0:40Speaker 1: the job that no one in the media was willing
- 0:43Speaker 1: to do. Now, the Bureau says that it has identified
- 0:48Speaker 1: and dismantled a two hundred and fifty million dollar fraud
- 0:52Speaker 1: scheme tied to federal food aid programs, leading to seventy
- 0:58Speaker 1: eight indictments and fifty seven convictions. Caspertel also stated that
- 1:05Speaker 1: some convicted fraudsters are being referred for denaturalization and deportation
- 1:11Speaker 1: proceedings where eligible, signaling serious legal consequences beyond prison sentences,
- 1:18Speaker 1: and the broader scope of the fraud is now being exposed.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Federal prosecutors are now estimating the fraud across multiple programs
- 1:28Speaker 1: in Minnesota alone will total into the billions of dollars,
- 1:33Speaker 1: with part of the spotlight falling on social services, childcare assistance,
- 1:38Speaker 1: healthcare billing, and nutrition programs. In other words, if there
- 1:44Speaker 1: was a government program, it was being abused by the fraudsters.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Now the FBI is continuing, they say, an ongoing investigation
- 1:54Speaker 1: and their expectations for more prosecutions and potential recoveries of
- 1:59Speaker 1: misused tax payer funds. National figures including Elon Musk and
- 2:03Speaker 1: political leaders such as JD Vance and Representative Tom Emmer
- 2:08Speaker 1: have amplified the incredible undercover video that exposed all of this,
- 2:14Speaker 1: pushing for accountability and broader investigations into alleged misuse of
- 2:18Speaker 1: taxpayer funds. And it may not just be Minnesota where
- 2:22Speaker 1: the corruption is. Now we're saying that others are coming
- 2:26Speaker 1: forward and saying it could be happening in other states. Now,
- 2:29Speaker 1: how did we get to this point? Well, an independent journalist,
- 2:34Speaker 1: a hero by the name of Nick Shirley posted a
- 2:38Speaker 1: forty two minute investigative video on social media showing visits
- 2:43Speaker 1: to multiple licensed childcare centers that allegedly received millions and
- 2:49Speaker 1: millions of dollars in public funding, meaning taxpayer dollars but
- 2:53Speaker 1: were empty or inactive, or wouldn't even answer a question
- 2:57Speaker 1: on how he could enroll his son in daycare, including
- 3:01Speaker 1: the Minneapolis Quality Learning Center and one lightly shared scene,
- 3:07Speaker 1: Shirley highlighted that one center received roughly one point nine
- 3:10Speaker 1: million alone in twenty twenty five from the Minnesota Childcare
- 3:14Speaker 1: Assistance Program, despite no children or activity being a parent
- 3:20Speaker 1: at the site during daytime visits. Shirley's video claims that
- 3:25Speaker 1: over one hundred and ten million in questionable payments were
- 3:28Speaker 1: documented in a single day of investigating, and that is
- 3:32Speaker 1: where the video went viral, garnering tens of millions of
- 3:36Speaker 1: views and sparking national outrage, particularly among conservatives and political
- 3:42Speaker 1: figures who share this footage saying it's time to clean house,
- 3:47Speaker 1: which brings us to cash Ptel. Now, when something like
- 3:51Speaker 1: this gets exposed, we're learning very quickly that the Trump
- 3:54Speaker 1: administration is willing to do what others were unwilling to
- 3:58Speaker 1: do in the Biden administration and what Democrats are unwilling
- 4:02Speaker 1: to do on their own in Minnesota. Here's more of
- 4:06Speaker 1: how Fox News covered it earlier.
- 4:08Speaker 2: And welcome back everybody. FBI director Cash Mattel responding to
- 4:12Speaker 2: a viral video that has raised even more concerns about
- 4:14Speaker 2: Minnesota's massive fraud scandal. The video showing misspelled signs, locked doors,
- 4:20Speaker 2: empty classrooms even at a Minneapolis daycare center. Now the
- 4:23Speaker 2: state allegedly is also given the center millions in funding.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Connor Hansen Live in New York City was the latest
- 4:30Speaker 2: on that for us Hey, Connor.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Hi Kevin Well. For years now, there have been allegations
- 4:35Speaker 3: of widespread fraud and investigations in Minnesota, but now there's
- 4:39Speaker 3: even more scrutiny following a new video that's gone viral
- 4:43Speaker 3: coming from an independent journalist visiting daycare centers in the
- 4:47Speaker 3: state that are receiving millions, apparently in tax dollars, with
- 4:51Speaker 3: no signs of children there.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Take a look.
- 4:54Speaker 5: Can I put my son into daycare here?
- 4:56Speaker 6: No?
- 4:56Speaker 5: No, don't. Can I speak to someone?
- 4:59Speaker 4: No?
- 5:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I would like to see if I can put
- 5:01Speaker 3: my son Joey here now. Twenty three year old journalist
- 5:05Speaker 3: Nick Shirley visited one business that couldn't even spell its
- 5:08Speaker 3: name correctly, with a sign saying leering center instead of learning.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Some had blackedout windows, and most had no signs of
- 5:16Speaker 3: children there. On a Weekday, the viral video sparking a
- 5:19Speaker 3: strong reaction from Vice President jd Vance, who wrote, politicians
- 5:23Speaker 3: like it because they get power. Welfare cheats like it
- 5:26Speaker 3: because they get rich. But it's a zero sum game
- 5:29Speaker 3: and they're stealing both money and political power from Minnesota's
- 5:33Speaker 3: Earlier this month, Minnesota's assistant US attorney said fraud involving
- 5:38Speaker 3: medicaid services likely reached more than nine billion dollars.
- 5:43Speaker 5: Fraud is not small, It isn't isolated. The magnitude cannot
- 5:48Speaker 5: be overstated. It's a staggering, industrial scale fraud.
- 5:53Speaker 3: The Eye director Cash Pattel just posted on x saying
- 5:56Speaker 3: that might just be the tip of the iceberg. Despite
- 6:00Speaker 3: mounting criticism aimed at him from the White House and others.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Governor Tim Walls has blamed Republicans for the lack of
- 6:06Speaker 3: a solution.
- 6:08Speaker 7: Nobody in the legislature on the Republican side is interested
- 6:11Speaker 7: in solving this. Mike God, it would be the worst
- 6:13Speaker 7: thing in the world for them if this is solved
- 6:15Speaker 7: like we're doing it here early this year, because then
- 6:17Speaker 7: what are they going to run on?
- 6:19Speaker 3: And we've reached down to Governor Wallace for comment on
- 6:21Speaker 3: that video. No response so far. Cash Battel also warning
- 6:25Speaker 3: that possible denaturalization and deportation proceedings could come from this.
- 6:32Speaker 1: And this is exactly why the FBI Director Cash Battel
- 6:35Speaker 1: not only came out but recognized that the ongoing fraud
- 6:38Speaker 1: scandal and folding in Minnesota involving these childcare centers, saying
- 6:43Speaker 1: it is a top priority of the FBI. This video
- 6:48Speaker 1: all from a journalist on YouTube, Nick Shirley, going viral
- 6:53Speaker 1: over the weekend because he did what the media refused
- 6:56Speaker 1: to do, which is the second part of this story
- 6:59Speaker 1: that ever, everyone should be asking questions about. How is
- 7:03Speaker 1: it that a twenty something who has a YouTube channel
- 7:07Speaker 1: did more reporting on this fraud than the entire media
- 7:11Speaker 1: conglomerate of the United States of America combined. How is
- 7:16Speaker 1: it that he was able to go and confront employees
- 7:20Speaker 1: at these alleged learning centers in Minnesota receiving millions of
- 7:24Speaker 1: dollars in aid despite showing no signs of operational activity.
- 7:30Speaker 1: How is it that four million dollars of hard earned
- 7:33Speaker 1: tax dollars went to one center where they couldn't even
- 7:38Speaker 1: spell the word learning correctly? And how did the media
- 7:43Speaker 1: not do their job? The FBI Caspertel posted on x
- 7:47Speaker 1: is aware of the recent social media report in Minnesota. However,
- 7:53Speaker 1: even before the public conversation escalated online, the FBI had
- 7:58Speaker 1: surged personnel and to gative resources to Minnesota to dismantle
- 8:03Speaker 1: the large scale fraud schemes exploiting federal programs, fraud that
- 8:08Speaker 1: steals from taxpayers. The FBI director goes on to say,
- 8:12Speaker 1: and Rob's vulnerable children will remain a top FBI priority
- 8:16Speaker 1: in Minnesota and nationwide. Ptel then noted that the FBI
- 8:21Speaker 1: dismantled a two hundred and fifty million dollar fraud scheme
- 8:25Speaker 1: that stole federal food aid meant for vulnerable children during
- 8:29Speaker 1: COVID say the investigation exposed sham vendors, shell companies, and
- 8:36Speaker 1: large scale money laundering tied to the Feeding Our Future network.
- 8:40Speaker 1: The case led to seventy eight indictments and fifty seven convictions.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Defendants included high level and high named individuals, each of
- 8:51Speaker 1: them charged for their roles ranging from wirefraud to money
- 8:54Speaker 1: laundering to conspiracy. Ptel concluded that these schemes quote are
- 8:59Speaker 1: just the tip of the very large ice berg. The
- 9:03Speaker 1: assistant US Attorney, by the way, Joseph Thompson also revealed
- 9:07Speaker 1: earlier this month at half of the eighteen billion in
- 9:11Speaker 1: federal welfare funds which support fourteen Minnesota run programs since
- 9:17Speaker 1: twenty eighteen, have been lost to fraud. Quote, Minnesota has
- 9:23Speaker 1: become a magnet for fraud, so much so that we
- 9:26Speaker 1: have developed a fraud tourism industry, people coming to our
- 9:30Speaker 1: state purely to exploit and defraud its programs. Thompson said,
- 9:35Speaker 1: this is deeply unsettling and a reality that all Minnesotans
- 9:39Speaker 1: should understand. So you go back to the big question,
- 9:44Speaker 1: how is it that one man was able to do
- 9:47Speaker 1: so much good? And how was it that the media
- 9:50Speaker 1: and the Democratic Party did nothing to stop it? Well,
- 9:54Speaker 1: it could be for two reasons. One, the media was
- 9:57Speaker 1: in on it. They knew there was reports of fraud,
- 10:00Speaker 1: and they deliberately chose to look the other way. Why
- 10:03Speaker 1: because much of that money was coming back to support
- 10:07Speaker 1: Democrats who were running for office and who had been elected.
- 10:12Speaker 1: There's also the other question, how much to Governor Waltz,
- 10:16Speaker 1: the former man who could have been one heartbeat away
- 10:19Speaker 1: from the presidency. What did he know and when did
- 10:22Speaker 1: he know it? And how involved was he and why
- 10:25Speaker 1: is he not doing more. You have to remember all
- 10:28Speaker 1: he's saying now is somehow this is the Republican's fault,
- 10:31Speaker 1: even though Democrats are in charge of every aspect of
- 10:35Speaker 1: the state of Minnesota. And he doesn't answer the question,
- 10:38Speaker 1: and he also doesn't seem to be angry at all.
- 10:41Speaker 1: He doesn't seem to care about the fraud, which brings
- 10:44Speaker 1: us back to exactly what Casptel said. Not only is
- 10:48Speaker 1: the FBI aware of the recent social media reports, but
- 10:52Speaker 1: we are dismantling large scale frauds and it's only the
- 10:56Speaker 1: tip of the iceberg. That's why Donald Trump put him
- 11:00Speaker 1: in charge. And one thing's for sure, the President is
- 11:03Speaker 1: honed in on this fraud and gonna do everything he
- 11:06Speaker 1: can to stop it. Now, something that will make you
- 11:10Speaker 1: laugh about this entire scandal is remember the Quality Leering Center.
- 11:16Speaker 1: You know the sign where they couldn't even spell the
- 11:17Speaker 1: word learning correctly. Well, after that sign has gone viral,
- 11:22Speaker 1: they have suddenly fixed a sign and it now reads
- 11:25Speaker 1: the actual word learning. I'm not joking, this is literally
- 11:29Speaker 1: what it says.
- 11:30Speaker 5: Now.
- 11:31Speaker 8: JD.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Vance, the Vice President United States of America, putting out
- 11:34Speaker 1: a tweet saying, quote, what's happening in Minnesota is a
- 11:38Speaker 1: microcosm of the immigration fraud in our system. Politicians like
- 11:43Speaker 1: it because they get power. Welfare cheats like it because
- 11:48Speaker 1: they get rich. But it's a zero sum game and
- 11:51Speaker 1: they're stealing both money and political power from Minnesotans. He
- 11:56Speaker 1: couldn't be any more right on what he's saying, which
- 11:59Speaker 1: brings us to the new headline the Department of Homeland
- 12:02Speaker 1: Security on Tuesday now highlighting what they're referring to is
- 12:06Speaker 1: day two of a massive operation in Minnesota, as federal
- 12:11Speaker 1: agents are intensifying their efforts to crack down on the
- 12:14Speaker 1: widespread Smali initiated fraud targeting the state and federal programs.
- 12:20Speaker 1: The Department of Homeland Security posted a video online showing
- 12:25Speaker 1: agents conducting searches and enforcement actions aimed at individuals that
- 12:30Speaker 1: are suspected of defrauding taxpayers of billions of dollars.
- 12:34Speaker 7: Now.
- 12:34Speaker 1: This surge is following the new allegations involving daycare centers
- 12:38Speaker 1: in Minnesota, many that are operated by Somali residents that
- 12:43Speaker 1: are accused of abusing public assistance programs caught redhanded on tape.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Our investigative agents are conducting a massive operation. DHS says
- 12:53Speaker 1: to identify, arrest, and remove criminals who are defrauding the
- 12:57Speaker 1: American people. We will out this rampant fraud that is
- 13:02Speaker 1: plaguing Minnesota, the Department of Homeland Security said in a
- 13:05Speaker 1: post on Acts Now. The announcement comes amid heightened scrutiny
- 13:09Speaker 1: on the state, which has already been under investigation for
- 13:13Speaker 1: years over large scale fraud involving Medicaid, pandemic relief funds,
- 13:18Speaker 1: and the child nutrition programs. Homeland Security Secretary Christy Nome
- 13:23Speaker 1: confirming that Homeland Security Investigation agents are actively operating. Quote,
- 13:29Speaker 1: we are on the ground in Minnesota, in Minneapolis right now,
- 13:32Speaker 1: conducting a massive investigation on childcare and other rampant fraud.
- 13:37Speaker 1: This comes to the FBI director also increasing their operations
- 13:41Speaker 1: on day two, saying federal authorities are focused on dismantling
- 13:45Speaker 1: what they describe as large scale fraud schemes exploiting federal
- 13:49Speaker 1: programs now. The latest push follows reporting by the journalist
- 13:54Speaker 1: Nick Shirley, who again I say, as a hero, who
- 13:57Speaker 1: showed the Somali daycare centers and mini app list committing
- 14:00Speaker 1: as much as one hundred million in fraud in a
- 14:02Speaker 1: single day. Minnesota's most notorious fraud case remains the feeding
- 14:07Speaker 1: our future scandal, but there are real chances now that
- 14:11Speaker 1: that could be in the past and new fraud scandals
- 14:14Speaker 1: could be even more expensive. That fraud scandal was all
- 14:19Speaker 1: related to the COVID nineteen fraud scheme, the largest in
- 14:22Speaker 1: our country's history. That was three hundred million in pandemic
- 14:27Speaker 1: relief funds that were intended to provide food for children.
- 14:30Speaker 1: And guess what the Somalis did. They stole the money. Now,
- 14:35Speaker 1: since twenty twenty two, seventy eight people have been charged,
- 14:39Speaker 1: fifty seven had been convicted or pleted guilty. Federal Prosecutor
- 14:42Speaker 1: Joe Thompson is estimated that total losses from fraud schemes
- 14:46Speaker 1: in Minnesota alone could easily exceed more than a billion dollars,
- 14:51Speaker 1: and earlier this month, the federal prosecutor also led a
- 14:54Speaker 1: half or more of the roughly eighteen billion in federal
- 14:58Speaker 1: funds sent to support seen Minnesota program since twenty eighteen
- 15:03Speaker 1: have been misappropriated. Yes, we're talking about fraud now. James Comer,
- 15:09Speaker 1: from the House Oversight Committee chairman sett He now plans
- 15:13Speaker 1: to subpoena top Minnesota officials, including the governor Waltz to
- 15:18Speaker 1: testify under oath to Congress investigating how the fraud went
- 15:22Speaker 1: undetected for years. I think we all know it wasn't undetected.
- 15:26Speaker 1: They knew about it, they were in on it, and
- 15:29Speaker 1: they knew it was helping them get elected to office,
- 15:32Speaker 1: which brings me back to the accountability aspect of all
- 15:36Speaker 1: of this. There are now real members of Congress that
- 15:39Speaker 1: are taking action, including Senator John Kennedy, a Republican who
- 15:44Speaker 1: represents Louisiana, describing the one billion dollars Somali fraud case
- 15:48Speaker 1: in Minnesota as a clown world on steroids and deeply discussing.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Kennedy made the comments during a Senate for speech when
- 15:59Speaker 1: speaking about the Eat Our Future fraud scandal with prosecutors
- 16:03Speaker 1: uncovering the defrauding of the federal government during the COVID
- 16:07Speaker 1: nineteen pandemic. I want you to listen carefully to what
- 16:10Speaker 1: the Senator had to say in front of all this colleagues,
- 16:13Speaker 1: many of them listening on the floor who actually represent Minnesota.
- 16:19Speaker 4: It makes me, It makes me want to knee someone
- 16:25Speaker 4: in the groin. It just makes me furious, and I
- 16:29Speaker 4: think the American taxpayers feel the same way. What I'm
- 16:33Speaker 4: about to tell you, mister President, let me apologize in advance,
- 16:37Speaker 4: is deeply disgusting. It's deeply disgusting. I mean, it is
- 16:47Speaker 4: clown World on steroids. And when I first read about this,
- 16:55Speaker 4: mister President, I read it a second time because I
- 17:00Speaker 4: was I experienced slack jawed astonishment. And when I read
- 17:05Speaker 4: it the second time and I realized that it was true,
- 17:09Speaker 4: I just wanted to run away screaming what am I
- 17:13Speaker 4: talking about, mister President. We have discovered the federal federal
- 17:20Speaker 4: prosecutors have discovered that for the last five years, there
- 17:27Speaker 4: has been massive welfare fraud in the great state of Minnesota. Massive,
- 17:37Speaker 4: Over a billion dollars of American taxpayer money has been stolen,
- 17:46Speaker 4: just stolen. They can call it fraud, but a better
- 17:50Speaker 4: term would be stealing. And this fraud has been centered
- 17:55Speaker 4: in the Samodi community in minnesot Now, I'm not here
- 18:03Speaker 4: to criticize the Somali community. I'm here simply to describe
- 18:09Speaker 4: what happened. The Somali community in Minneapolis is about eighty
- 18:16Speaker 4: thousand people. They're centered around Minneapolis. And let me say
- 18:25Speaker 4: it again, I'm not here to detegrate the Somali people.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Or people of Somali ancestry, just because of the actions
- 18:37Speaker 4: of a few. But it is a fact that this
- 18:42Speaker 4: one billion dollars in welfare fraud occurred almost exclusively in
- 18:48Speaker 4: the Somali community in Minnesota and was orchestrated by people
- 18:56Speaker 4: with Somali ancestry. That's a fact. Facts aren't racist. Facts
- 19:04Speaker 4: are facts.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Facts aren't racists.
- 19:07Speaker 9: Facts are facts.
- 19:08Speaker 1: It makes me want to need somebody in the growing
- 19:10Speaker 1: slamming the state leaders and demanding accountability. The American taxpayers,
- 19:16Speaker 1: he said, feel the same way. Freederal prosecutors say that
- 19:20Speaker 1: fifty nine people have been convicted in those schemes so far,
- 19:24Speaker 1: and that more than one billion in taxpayer money has
- 19:26Speaker 1: been stolen in three plots they are investigating. That is
- 19:32Speaker 1: more than Minnesota spends annually to run its Department of Corrections.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Hundreds of millions of dollars are diverted again by several
- 19:41Speaker 1: Somali nationals who took the money they were supposed to
- 19:45Speaker 1: be using literally to feed children, and in fact we're
- 19:50Speaker 1: pocketing for criminal instances. Kennedy saying that this is truly shocking.
- 19:57Speaker 1: It was one hundred and twenty five million meals that
- 20:01Speaker 1: this charity claim they were providing to children that were
- 20:05Speaker 1: not provided at all. So what can we all do
- 20:10Speaker 1: to make sure that this continues to have light put
- 20:14Speaker 1: on it? Share all the information that I'm giving you,
- 20:18Speaker 1: Share it everywhere that you can so that more people
- 20:23Speaker 1: see what the Democrats have been doing and also what
- 20:27Speaker 1: the media has been covering up. The fallout out of
- 20:32Speaker 1: Minnesota is now reaching other states. Is now there's more
- 20:36Speaker 1: accusations in other states that Democrats were allowing illegal immigrants
- 20:41Speaker 1: and not all of them are going to be Somali's
- 20:44Speaker 1: to defraud the system on purpose buying votes. Now, all
- 20:49Speaker 1: of this is happening, and I'm going to go through
- 20:51Speaker 1: some of it in a moment, But there's a new
- 20:53Speaker 1: trend that has just started because of the fallout in Minnesota.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Now Mark Kelly, a Democrat, is coming out randomly calling
- 21:04Speaker 1: for the ban of stock trading for members of Congress.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Why well, there are reports that are out that alam
- 21:14Speaker 1: Omar went from being negative in her net worth when
- 21:18Speaker 1: she got into Congress to just a few years later
- 21:21Speaker 1: being worth upwards of thirty million dollars. How did that happen?
- 21:26Speaker 1: Congresswoman Omar's net worth has increased again up to thirty million,
- 21:30Speaker 1: despite her claiming she isn't a millionaire. According to a
- 21:33Speaker 1: new report, Omar and her husband have a networth between
- 21:38Speaker 1: she's stated in her government forms of six million to
- 21:41Speaker 1: thirty million according to their twenty twenty five disclosure. The
- 21:46Speaker 1: Washington Free Beacon is now reporting this. Disclosures from the
- 21:51Speaker 1: end of twenty twenty three, that is just two years ago,
- 21:55Speaker 1: show the pair had ownership stakes that only add to
- 22:00Speaker 1: the value of just about fifty one thousand dollars. The question, obviously,
- 22:06Speaker 1: is how do you go from having fifty one thousand
- 22:08Speaker 1: dollars in your bank account to two years later on
- 22:11Speaker 1: a fixed salary that everyone knows where it is, it's
- 22:14Speaker 1: about one hundred and change to upwards of almost thirty
- 22:18Speaker 1: million dollars. Now, Omar has denied that she has an
- 22:22Speaker 1: increase in well since being elected to Congress, because apparently
- 22:25Speaker 1: you can just lie now about everything. At one point
- 22:28Speaker 1: she even stated, quote, she's not a millionaire. So let's
- 22:32Speaker 1: go back to Mark Kelly, hardcore liberal Democrat. You know,
- 22:36Speaker 1: the same guy that was in favor of sedition and
- 22:38Speaker 1: advocating for the military members to not take the orders
- 22:42Speaker 1: of the President of the United States of America. He
- 22:45Speaker 1: now as a Democrat, is coming out saying, yeah, maybe
- 22:47Speaker 1: we should ban stock trading for members of Congress like
- 22:50Speaker 1: ohmmr and Nancy Pelosi, whose net wealth is in the
- 22:53Speaker 1: hundreds of millions of dollars.
- 22:55Speaker 6: Take a listen, hey, folks, let's talk about these New
- 22:59Speaker 6: year resolutions. Never really been that big into them. My
- 23:05Speaker 6: wife Gabby, though, you know, this is something she plans
- 23:08Speaker 6: for every year. But I got one this year that
- 23:11Speaker 6: I think is pretty important. You know, my New Year's
- 23:15Speaker 6: resolution is going to be to finally get stock trading
- 23:18Speaker 6: banned from Congress. Why is it that members of Congress
- 23:22Speaker 6: get to use the information they have from having this
- 23:24Speaker 6: job and trade stocks ridiculous American people don't get that.
- 23:31Speaker 8: It's not right.
- 23:33Speaker 6: For that reason, I don't trade stocks. I've got all
- 23:36Speaker 6: my assets in a blind trust here. I'm one of
- 23:40Speaker 6: the few people that do that. But we really need
- 23:43Speaker 6: the band stock trading. It is a problem that has
- 23:48Speaker 6: been going on way too long.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Why did Mark Kelly decide to come out right now.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I think it's probably because he realizes how much fraud
- 24:00Speaker 1: and corruption in inCider trading is about to be exposed,
- 24:04Speaker 1: and he's trying to get ahead of it. He understands
- 24:07Speaker 1: how corrupt the Democratic Party is, how many members of
- 24:11Speaker 1: Congress around him are going to be exposed just by
- 24:15Speaker 1: what we're witnessing in Minnesota right now, which brings me
- 24:19Speaker 1: back to elam Omar. Omar said, it is categorically false
- 24:24Speaker 1: to call her a millionaire. Her net worth just reachs
- 24:26Speaker 1: up to thirty million, an increase of at least three thousand,
- 24:30Speaker 1: five hundred percent in one year. Much of the squad
- 24:35Speaker 1: member's wealth comes to her husband's winery, they claim, and
- 24:39Speaker 1: his venture capital firm. How does this even happen, Well,
- 24:45Speaker 1: it's pretty simple. It happens because Congress allows it to.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Which brings me to the fight that has just started
- 24:54Speaker 1: between alamo Omar and the Treasury Secretary of Scott Descent.
- 24:59Speaker 1: They're duking it out now over the Minnesota fraud scandal.
- 25:02Speaker 1: What I'm about to play for you is not from
- 25:04Speaker 1: the national news. I want to be clear, they're still
- 25:07Speaker 1: staying away from this story. This is from local news.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Listen carefully to what they say about the back and forth.
- 25:14Speaker 10: It developments the fraud scandal in Minnesota escalating over the weekend.
- 25:18Speaker 10: Both Treasury Secretary Scott Besant and state Representative Ilhan Omar
- 25:23Speaker 10: publicly speaking out regarding the widespread alleged scheme allegedly orchestrated
- 25:28Speaker 10: by Somali asylum seekers. The National News Test Jeff Harris
- 25:32Speaker 10: joining us and both Beston and Omar they appeared on
- 25:35Speaker 10: Face the Nation Jeff, But the two, of course, as
- 25:37Speaker 10: you can expect, related much different messages to the American people.
- 25:41Speaker 10: Break down what we know.
- 25:42Speaker 1: So.
- 25:43Speaker 9: Besson spent much of the interview on his end discussing
- 25:46Speaker 9: the Treasury Department's investigation, which includes whether taxpayer money went
- 25:50Speaker 9: to terrorist organizations in Somalia. Omar, who's part of the
- 25:54Speaker 9: Somali community, responding to those comments, saying it would be
- 25:57Speaker 9: a failure of the FBI if they did in fact happen.
- 26:02Speaker 9: Over the weekend, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessing calling out Minnesota
- 26:05Speaker 9: Representative Ilhan Omar for her response about the allegations of
- 26:09Speaker 9: widespread fraud from the state Somali community, the largest in
- 26:13Speaker 9: the nation and potential link to terrorist organizations.
- 26:16Speaker 8: Representative Kolmar tried to downplay it, said, oh, it was
- 26:20Speaker 8: very it was very tough to know how this money
- 26:26Speaker 8: should be used. She was gaslighting the American people.
- 26:29Speaker 9: Meanwhile, Omar pushing back, saying any connection between alleged Somali
- 26:33Speaker 9: fraud and terrorism would fall on the FBI.
- 26:36Speaker 11: If there was a linkage in that the money that
- 26:39Speaker 11: they had stolen going to terrorism, then that is a
- 26:42Speaker 11: failure of the FBI.
- 26:45Speaker 9: This fraud investigation dates back to twenty twenty two, when
- 26:48Speaker 9: the Biden administration filed charges in connection to what they
- 26:51Speaker 9: called the largest pandemic fraud in the US. Bessen saying
- 26:55Speaker 9: he was asked last week to investigate whether Minnesota's tax
- 26:58Speaker 9: dollars made its way to terrorist organizations linked to Somalia.
- 27:02Speaker 8: That money has gone overseas and we are tracking that
- 27:07Speaker 8: both to the Middle East and Somalia.
- 27:09Speaker 9: Minnesota is currently dealing with multiple fraud scandals totaling over
- 27:13Speaker 9: one billion dollars in stolen taxpayer funds, including nearly three
- 27:17Speaker 9: hundred million from the nonprofit Feeding our Future. Omar's campaign
- 27:21Speaker 9: receiving donations from people charged in that scheme, donations, she says,
- 27:25Speaker 9: have since been returned.
- 27:27Speaker 11: We obviously had people who were able to donate to
- 27:33Speaker 11: our campaign that were involved. We send that money back now.
- 27:36Speaker 9: The House Oversight Committee announcing last week it's also opening
- 27:40Speaker 9: an investigation into the fraud in Minnesota Chairman James Comer,
- 27:43Speaker 9: saying whistleblowers were ignored.
- 27:45Speaker 4: That this fraud was taking place and that both the
- 27:47Speaker 4: Attorney General and the governor of Minnesota turned a blind
- 27:51Speaker 4: eye to it.
- 27:51Speaker 9: Meanwhile, Republican Senator John Kennedy also weigh in on the
- 27:55Speaker 9: Senate floor last week, calling the fraud case quote a
- 27:58Speaker 9: clown world on steroids.
- 28:00Speaker 4: It makes me want a niece someone in the groin.
- 28:03Speaker 4: It just makes me furious.
- 28:06Speaker 9: Now, total of eighty seven people have been charged across
- 28:09Speaker 9: all the main fraud cases here, all but eight being
- 28:12Speaker 9: of Somali descent, with sixty one conviction secured so far.
- 28:16Speaker 9: Amy Bach, founder of Feeding Our Future and the alleged
- 28:19Speaker 9: mastermind of that scheme, was found guilty on all counts
- 28:22Speaker 9: and right now is awaiting sentencing. Reporting for the National
- 28:25Speaker 9: News Desk, I'm Jeff Harris.
- 28:28Speaker 1: You notice there in that report they talk about how
- 28:31Speaker 1: Omar says oh I returned the money, so apparently everything
- 28:34Speaker 1: should be fine. Well, how did she become a multi millionaire.
- 28:38Speaker 1: She also is dismissing these new allegations as quote right
- 28:42Speaker 1: wing disinformation campaign, saying again, I am not a millionaire.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Then why on your financial disclosures do you value your
- 28:53Speaker 1: net worth up to thirty million dollars in just a year.
- 28:57Speaker 1: This came out of nowhere. How much is you make
- 29:00Speaker 1: less than two hundred thousand dollars a year? You can
- 29:03Speaker 1: do the math on it and decide what you think
- 29:05Speaker 1: about that. And you go back to Mark Kelly calling
- 29:09Speaker 1: to banstock trading for members of Congress, saying this has
- 29:12Speaker 1: gone way too long. Why because he understands that we
- 29:17Speaker 1: are now at the tip of a very large iceberg
- 29:21Speaker 1: that is being investigated, and there are other states where
- 29:25Speaker 1: the same type of fraud is going to be exposed.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Don't forget share this podcast please with your family and
- 29:31Speaker 1: your friends wherever they are, and I will see you
- 29:35Speaker 1: back here tomorrow.
