Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / BIDEN, PELOSI, MEDIA PUSH LIES TO DEMAND GUN CONTROL AFTER CO SHOOTING. THIS IS PURE EVIL!
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: You're waking up this morning to a full on war
- 0:04Speaker 1: against your right to bear arms. Joe Biden is now
- 0:08Speaker 1: considering quote executive action on gun control. All of this
- 0:12Speaker 1: because of what we now know about the shooter in Colorado.
- 0:16Speaker 1: An Isis sympathizer who hated Donald Trump decided to go
- 0:20Speaker 1: in and shoot up a Boulder, Colorado grocery store and
- 0:25Speaker 1: kill ten people. And the answer Biden's answer to this
- 0:31Speaker 1: act of an individual that came from Syria that was
- 0:35Speaker 1: apparently an Isis sympathizer is to take away guns from
- 0:41Speaker 1: all law abiding citizens. And before we knew anything about
- 0:46Speaker 1: this individual, it was almost like the Democrats had decided,
- 0:50Speaker 1: no matter what happens, when there is the next quote shooting,
- 0:55Speaker 1: we're gonna go for gun control because we're not going
- 0:58Speaker 1: to let an opertunity disappear from us. Never let an
- 1:02Speaker 1: opportunity be wasted, never let a tragedy be wasted when
- 1:06Speaker 1: you can push something political. And by the way, we've
- 1:09Speaker 1: got all the tweets of all the limberals who claimed
- 1:12Speaker 1: that the shooter was quote a white Trump supporter before
- 1:15Speaker 1: they knew anything. Because this is identity politics, right. Identity
- 1:19Speaker 1: politics is the left is raging with the left, and
- 1:22Speaker 1: the left had come out immediately saying that this tragedy
- 1:27Speaker 1: was going to be caused by a white Trump supporter.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Let me give you an example of just some of
- 1:33Speaker 1: the things that were said, those who claimed the shooter
- 1:36Speaker 1: was either quote white or a Trump supporter, and then
- 1:39Speaker 1: they were just shocked when actually they found out it
- 1:41Speaker 1: was actually someone that was anti Trump and someone that
- 1:45Speaker 1: apparently is an ISIS sympathizer. Here's an example of one
- 1:50Speaker 1: of those tweets. The shooter was taken into custody. In
- 1:53Speaker 1: other words, it was almost certainly a white man. Again,
- 1:57Speaker 1: if he were black or brown, he would be dead.
- 2:01Speaker 1: That coming from Amy Siskin. David Hoffman tweeted out, I'll
- 2:06Speaker 1: bet anyone my salary right now that the shooter in
- 2:09Speaker 1: Boulder is a right wing maga white male again at
- 2:14Speaker 1: any politics. Nope, it's not. It's a guy from Syria,
- 2:17Speaker 1: a guy that's an IBI sympathizer, and a guy who
- 2:19Speaker 1: hates Donald Trump based on what was on his Facebook page.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Let's go to the niece of the Vice President of
- 2:25Speaker 1: the United States of America and her verified Twitter account,
- 2:28Speaker 1: Mina Harris. She tweeted out the Atlanta shooting was not
- 2:32Speaker 1: even a week ago. Violent white men are the greatest
- 2:36Speaker 1: terrorist threat in our country. That's what you call racism.
- 2:40Speaker 1: That tweet has since been deleted because oops, she was wrong.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Let's go to another verified account, doctor Onny Blackstone. People
- 2:50Speaker 1: will continue to die just so that white men can
- 2:54Speaker 1: own guns and reinforce the power they already have. Guess what.
- 3:00Speaker 1: The guy to the shooting not white. Let's go to
- 3:03Speaker 1: Rosanna Arquette. You know she's an actress. Call it what
- 3:06Speaker 1: it is, white supremacist domestic terrorism. This was all tweeted out,
- 3:11Speaker 1: of course, before we knew anything that had happened, because
- 3:13Speaker 1: the narrative of the identity politics was already set. They
- 3:17Speaker 1: were organized, they were prepared, they were ready to pounce.
- 3:22Speaker 1: DL Hughley he won't lose a job over this. He
- 3:25Speaker 1: won't not appear in movies or do stand up. No, no no, no,
- 3:28Speaker 1: He'll keep all his jobs. He tweeted out, a white
- 3:31Speaker 1: arm mass murderer has a better chance surviving an encounter
- 3:35Speaker 1: with a police and a black dude holding a phone.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Guess what, he was wrong. Don't worry, he won't lose
- 3:43Speaker 1: a job over the identity politics and the racist tweet
- 3:47Speaker 1: that he's sent out against white people. George Hahn also
- 3:51Speaker 1: verified twitter account. He's famous. Right when a white guy
- 3:54Speaker 1: with an AAR fifteen shoots and kills a bunch of people,
- 3:58Speaker 1: is the motive really? Is the motive really relevant? Then
- 4:04Speaker 1: he says, in all caps spoiler alert, on the motive,
- 4:08Speaker 1: he was having feelings, anger, invisibility, impotence, ie not special again,
- 4:17Speaker 1: not even true at all. Julia DeCaro, she's also an author.
- 4:23Speaker 1: She tweeted out extremely tired of people's lives depending on
- 4:26Speaker 1: whether a white man with an AR fifteen is having
- 4:29Speaker 1: a good day or not. Now, notice that they're already
- 4:33Speaker 1: naming the gun before they even knew what gun was used.
- 4:36Speaker 1: And that didn't matter either, because you have the president nights,
- 4:38Speaker 1: it's America. They were locked and loaded, they were ready
- 4:41Speaker 1: to go. Whatever the next tragedy is, we're going to
- 4:44Speaker 1: use it to come after law abiding citizens guns, regardless
- 4:47Speaker 1: of what the actual story is here. Helma Javir, another
- 4:54Speaker 1: famous person on social media quote, it's always an angry
- 4:57Speaker 1: white man. Always guess what it wasn't an angry right man.
- 5:00Speaker 1: It was an ISO sympathizer guy that came from Syria.
- 5:03Speaker 1: But hey, let's keep pushing the racist narrative. Julie DeCaro,
- 5:08Speaker 1: She also wrote this, and they are always angry about women,
- 5:13Speaker 1: angry about women. What does this have to do with women? Again?
- 5:16Speaker 1: This guy hated Donald Trump. This guy who did this
- 5:19Speaker 1: was an ISO sympathizer, from what we understand, extremely tired
- 5:23Speaker 1: of people's lives depending on whether a white man, whether
- 5:26Speaker 1: a r is having a good or bad day. Yes,
- 5:30Speaker 1: all of these people, all these idiots on the left,
- 5:34Speaker 1: immediately jumped to politicize the tragic Boulder shooting, to push
- 5:38Speaker 1: their narrative, to take away guns from law abiding citizens,
- 5:42Speaker 1: and to attack in a racist way white people. You
- 5:46Speaker 1: want to know why there's so much division in this country.
- 5:48Speaker 1: It's not because of white conservatives. It's because of these
- 5:53Speaker 1: psychotic lefties who attack now white men every time they
- 5:58Speaker 1: get a chance, even if it's not a white man
- 6:00Speaker 1: has committed the heinous crime. Look at what happened in Atlanta.
- 6:03Speaker 1: What happened Atlanta was horrific, it was tragic, But it
- 6:06Speaker 1: was an individual that is clearly said, I went in
- 6:10Speaker 1: to go kill the sex workers because they've ruined my
- 6:12Speaker 1: life and I'm addicted to sex. And they took all
- 6:16Speaker 1: my money and they were destroying my life. None of
- 6:21Speaker 1: what I just said had anything to do with the
- 6:23Speaker 1: race of an individual. Nevertheless, on social media, we jumped
- 6:27Speaker 1: all to conclusions about Asian Americans. Asian Americans, this is racism, racism,
- 6:31Speaker 1: racism and racism. And the dude who did the crimes, like, no,
- 6:34Speaker 1: I was addicted to sex. I went into these parlors
- 6:37Speaker 1: to get sexual favors done. They ruined my life. I
- 6:41Speaker 1: decided to go kill these sex workers. It was not
- 6:44Speaker 1: motivated by the fact they were Asian American. It was
- 6:46Speaker 1: motivated by the fact that they were in the sex industry.
- 6:48Speaker 1: And he said they ruined his life. Obviously not a
- 6:51Speaker 1: reason to kill people. But that's the real reason. And
- 6:54Speaker 1: they're like, no, no no, no, it can't be true. We
- 6:56Speaker 1: must use it in any politics. We must politicize this,
- 6:59Speaker 1: We must demand that we stopped the violence against the
- 7:01Speaker 1: Asian American community immediately. And the guy's like, hold on
- 7:05Speaker 1: a second, it had nothing to do with them being Asian,
- 7:07Speaker 1: doesn't matter. That's a narrative. We're the media, we're selling it.
- 7:10Speaker 1: But I'm telling you, I was just addicted to sex.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I was, and these people were giving me that sex
- 7:16Speaker 1: and I was paying them. They ruined my life. That's
- 7:18Speaker 1: why I went and kill them. Nope, sorry, we're gonna
- 7:20Speaker 1: hijack the real reason why you did this and turn
- 7:23Speaker 1: it into a political identity race issue. Thank you for
- 7:26Speaker 1: being here and giving us an example so now we
- 7:28Speaker 1: can push our leftist agenda. And they did it again
- 7:32Speaker 1: less than a week later. They pushed the narrative for
- 7:37Speaker 1: their advantage so that they could do what they want
- 7:39Speaker 1: to do, which is get rid of law abiding citizens guns.
- 7:44Speaker 1: You can think the Democratic Party and you can think
- 7:46Speaker 1: the media for this divisiveness. They've been stoking the fires
- 7:50Speaker 1: a division and racism for decades now, and now what
- 7:53Speaker 1: you're seeing is the fruits of their labor. You want
- 7:56Speaker 1: to talk about the real issues here, the real issue here,
- 7:58Speaker 1: clearly he has to deal with the issue mental illness
- 8:01Speaker 1: and apparently terrorism. And the only political question at this
- 8:06Speaker 1: point is this is isis making a comeback under the
- 8:09Speaker 1: president nine States America, Joe Biden. That's the real issue
- 8:12Speaker 1: that everyone should be concerned about here. But no, no no, no,
- 8:15Speaker 1: we got we gotta push a racial agenda that this
- 8:18Speaker 1: guy was white, even though he's not. We gotta blame
- 8:21Speaker 1: white men for it even though he's not. We gotta
- 8:22Speaker 1: take away rights of law abiding citizens because of the
- 8:25Speaker 1: actions of an ISIS sympathizer who, by the way, hated
- 8:28Speaker 1: Donald Trump. You want to attack political beliefs, here, attack
- 8:32Speaker 1: the political beliefs to the left, because this guy was
- 8:34Speaker 1: a lefty, not a righty. And the leftist narrative was
- 8:38Speaker 1: shattered because of truth about this Colorado shooting suspect. As
- 8:43Speaker 1: it was revealed, they don't care though, They're gonna keep
- 8:46Speaker 1: going for your guns. This was a horrific shooting Monday
- 8:52Speaker 1: in Boulder, Colorado at this supermarket. But the reality is
- 8:56Speaker 1: it was done by a prominent left winger who hated
- 8:59Speaker 1: Trump and who was apparently an Isist sympathizer, and the
- 9:03Speaker 1: left wing media and the figures of social media rushed
- 9:08Speaker 1: to Twitter to denounce this act. Just kidding, they didn't.
- 9:14Speaker 1: They didn't jump to Twitter to denounce his heinous act
- 9:18Speaker 1: and to mourn the temple that were killed. But instead
- 9:20Speaker 1: they decided to come out and attack this shooter because
- 9:24Speaker 1: of his skin color. And they got that wrong. They
- 9:26Speaker 1: said this was white supremacy. They got it wrong. They
- 9:29Speaker 1: said it was an angry white man. They got that wrong.
- 9:31Speaker 1: They said it was a right winger. They got that wrong.
- 9:33Speaker 1: They said it was a Trump support They got that wrong.
- 9:35Speaker 1: They said it was the Only thing they got right
- 9:37Speaker 1: was the fact that he was a male. Now, remember
- 9:38Speaker 1: they didn't even say he was a man. They said
- 9:40Speaker 1: he was a white male. He was a Maga male,
- 9:41Speaker 1: he was a Trump supporter male. They got everything wrong.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Doesn't matter. Today we're moving, possibly through executive order to
- 9:49Speaker 1: take away our guns. So regardless of the fact that
- 9:54Speaker 1: Joe Biden has now decided to pounce on this tragedy
- 9:57Speaker 1: to push gun control meta that very well may have
- 10:01Speaker 1: not done anything to stop the shooting that happened in Colorado,
- 10:07Speaker 1: they're also deciding to look over what we do know
- 10:10Speaker 1: the actual facts about this Syrian born gunman, Ahmad Alisa,
- 10:17Speaker 1: twenty one. We also know a lot about him now,
- 10:20Speaker 1: and this is just in the last few hours. We
- 10:23Speaker 1: know that the FBI was new about him. He was
- 10:26Speaker 1: on their quote radar screen. And before we get into
- 10:31Speaker 1: who he is as a gunman, I want you to
- 10:33Speaker 1: understand something else. I want you to understand the laws
- 10:38Speaker 1: so that you really really get it of what is
- 10:42Speaker 1: already happening in Colorado. Colorado. As a state already has
- 10:49Speaker 1: everything that the left is demanding when it comes to
- 10:52Speaker 1: gun control. Colorado has universal background checks, which is what
- 10:59Speaker 1: they're pushing for. So we clearly know that universal background
- 11:02Speaker 1: checks did not stop this shooter. We know that the
- 11:07Speaker 1: shooting suspect has been described as paranoid by his own family.
- 11:11Speaker 1: We know that Colorado also has red flag gun seizure
- 11:15Speaker 1: laws that didn't work either. We know that Colorado already
- 11:20Speaker 1: has high capacity magazine bands that didn't help either. We
- 11:24Speaker 1: also know a passing gun control grade from the Gabby
- 11:29Speaker 1: Gifford's Courage Foundation. That's her organization, right, the former congresswoman
- 11:34Speaker 1: who was shot. We know that Colorado gives a A
- 11:38Speaker 1: a passing gun control grade and a the best you
- 11:41Speaker 1: can get from her, and still it didn't stop. This
- 11:45Speaker 1: isis sympathizer, this anti Trump, lunatic ahmad Ala Lisa from
- 11:51Speaker 1: murdering Americans. I want you to just think about that.
- 11:56Speaker 1: So an isis sympathizer, shot up this girl store, killed
- 12:00Speaker 1: ten people, and Joe Biden. The left's answer is, hey
- 12:02Speaker 1: blame white men for this. Take away all the white
- 12:05Speaker 1: man's guns, and take away guns from all law abiding citizens.
- 12:08Speaker 1: So let's talk about who this guy is right, because
- 12:11Speaker 1: it doesn't fit their narrative at all, But it doesn't matter.
- 12:13Speaker 1: They pounced anyway because they were ready. Whenever we have something,
- 12:16Speaker 1: never let a tragedy go to waste. That's the Democrat's motto,
- 12:20Speaker 1: never let a tragedy go to waste. We have a
- 12:24Speaker 1: Syrian born gunman twenty one years old, known to the
- 12:27Speaker 1: FBI and ranted about Islamophobic individuals. He even ranted about
- 12:33Speaker 1: people Islamophobes hacking his phone before killing ten at this
- 12:38Speaker 1: Boulder grocery store with an assault rifle he bought one
- 12:41Speaker 1: week ago, which complied with all the laws, the extreme
- 12:44Speaker 1: gun control laws in Colorado. He opened fired at this
- 12:50Speaker 1: King grocery store at two forty pm. He killed two
- 12:54Speaker 1: people in the parking lot before entering the store, where
- 12:56Speaker 1: he killed another eight people. His motive is still quote unknown.
- 12:59Speaker 1: The media says when he surrendered police, he asked to
- 13:02Speaker 1: speak to his mother. In Facebook posts over the last
- 13:05Speaker 1: eighteen months, he complained that he didn't have a girlfriend
- 13:08Speaker 1: and hated Donald Trump. Hold on a second, let's go
- 13:11Speaker 1: back to all the famous people and all the elect
- 13:12Speaker 1: officials who said it's angry white man that loves Trump.
- 13:15Speaker 1: It's a Magat supporter that loves Trump. It's a white
- 13:17Speaker 1: angry man with a gun that supports Trump. It's a
- 13:19Speaker 1: Magat person. Oh wait, he hated Trump. Whoops. This man's
- 13:25Speaker 1: brother also told The Daily Beast he was quote very
- 13:27Speaker 1: antisocial and had been paranoid since high school. Since high school,
- 13:32Speaker 1: He described him as mentally ill and said he'd been
- 13:34Speaker 1: bullied in school and that it was not politically motivated
- 13:38Speaker 1: the attack. His sister in law said she'd seen him
- 13:41Speaker 1: playing with a gun recently, but did not suspect him
- 13:44Speaker 1: a violence. So you got assistant says he's playing with
- 13:46Speaker 1: a gun. You got a brother. He says he's mentally
- 13:48Speaker 1: ill and he's been bullied, and then and saying that
- 13:51Speaker 1: his brother was a very antisocial and he was paranoidsince
- 13:54Speaker 1: high school. And and again, we had the laws to
- 13:56Speaker 1: take this gun away from this guy in Colorado, and
- 13:58Speaker 1: no one turned him in. The victims reigns and ages
- 14:02Speaker 1: from twenty to sixty five. Among them was a police officer,
- 14:06Speaker 1: shoppers and people were getting their COVID nineteen vaccines. Let's
- 14:12Speaker 1: take away guns. Let's do it right now, folks. Let's
- 14:15Speaker 1: claim he's an evil white guy even though he's not
- 14:16Speaker 1: a white guy. President Biden immediately came out called for
- 14:20Speaker 1: a nationwide ban on assault rifles and tighter laws on
- 14:22Speaker 1: background checks. The background check system worked for this guy
- 14:25Speaker 1: when he got his gun. He didn't do it illegally.
- 14:27Speaker 1: The background checked worked. So we're gonna we're gonna pass
- 14:31Speaker 1: a law that would have no bearing on this shooting.
- 14:34Speaker 1: You want to know, you want to talk about what
- 14:36Speaker 1: being a sick individual looks like. When you use an
- 14:39Speaker 1: actual tragedy with ten people dying to push something that
- 14:42Speaker 1: you know, if implemented, would have had no impact on
- 14:45Speaker 1: stopping the event that just happened. That is pure political evil.
- 14:54Speaker 1: That is sadistic. In my mind. You take a tragedy,
- 14:57Speaker 1: you sell the public that you're gonna fix this from
- 14:59Speaker 1: happening again by passing a law that you know, if enacted,
- 15:03Speaker 1: which it already was in Colorado, would have had no
- 15:06Speaker 1: bearing on stopping what just happened. And you push it anyway,
- 15:13Speaker 1: You push it anyway. This guy, we had the red flags, folks.
- 15:17Speaker 1: He was known to the FBI, had reinted online about
- 15:19Speaker 1: racist islamopholpes hacking his phone. This guy wanted to speak
- 15:25Speaker 1: to his mother after surning the police, having stripped off
- 15:28Speaker 1: and laid down his ar ruger. He had a handgun
- 15:35Speaker 1: and tactical vests and the supermarket aisles. He took it
- 15:37Speaker 1: all off on purpose. He didn't want to die, He
- 15:40Speaker 1: just want to kill a bunch of people. He was
- 15:42Speaker 1: a high school wrestler who was described by his family
- 15:45Speaker 1: as mentally ill. They didn't turn him in. They didn't say, hey,
- 15:48Speaker 1: maybe this guy shouldn't have a gun while he's playing
- 15:49Speaker 1: with a gun the last week. The guy was born
- 15:51Speaker 1: in Syria, moved the US when he was three. He
- 15:53Speaker 1: now lives in Colorado, thirty miles from the grocery store
- 15:56Speaker 1: he targeted to forty on Monday, open fired on the
- 16:02Speaker 1: King grocery store and Boulder killed a police officer. You
- 16:06Speaker 1: don't see any of those in the media, by the way,
- 16:09Speaker 1: supporting or defending or thinking the police, do you. I'm
- 16:12Speaker 1: still waiting for the headlines to come out about that
- 16:14Speaker 1: hero police officer. Go look for those. Nope, not the story.
- 16:19Speaker 1: We gotta go for guns now. It's all about gun control.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Must go for the guns. Guns are everything. Police officer killed.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Don't worry about the police officer. Take the guns. Don't
- 16:30Speaker 1: worry about the Isa symathizer of the guy who hated
- 16:32Speaker 1: Donald Trump. Take the guns. Just take a listen to
- 16:36Speaker 1: Joe Biden and what Joe Biden had to say right
- 16:40Speaker 1: after this shooting happened. We don't know much at the
- 16:44Speaker 1: point when Joe Biden decided to talk. It didn't matter
- 16:46Speaker 1: because Joe Biden is going to go after guns. We
- 16:49Speaker 1: don't know if what he's pushing would have had any
- 16:53Speaker 1: impact on this shooter. It doesn't matter because we're gonna
- 16:56Speaker 1: go after the guns we were using. We're not going
- 17:00Speaker 1: to miss an opportunity to use a tragedy to push
- 17:03Speaker 1: an agenda, regardless of if that agenda would actually have
- 17:07Speaker 1: any impact at all on this shooting that took place.
- 17:14Speaker 1: And everybody's doing this together. The media is doing it,
- 17:17Speaker 1: the Democrats are doing it, Social media influencer are doing it.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Blame it on a maga guy, Blame it on a
- 17:22Speaker 1: Trump supporter, Blame it on a white guy, Blame it
- 17:24Speaker 1: on a white supremacist, all of it wrong, doesn't matter.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Keep going, we gotta get these guns. And you listen
- 17:32Speaker 1: to Biden as he comes out, it's almost like they
- 17:34Speaker 1: had pre prepared this, like hey, go ahead and get
- 17:36Speaker 1: the speech ready for whenever there is another event that
- 17:40Speaker 1: we can then capitalize on to demand gun control early.
- 17:45Speaker 1: I want to be very clear, this is the one
- 17:47Speaker 1: thing I do know enough to say on in terms
- 17:49Speaker 1: of what's happened there. While we're still waiting for more
- 17:52Speaker 1: information regarding the shooter, his motive, the weapons he used,
- 17:57Speaker 1: the guns, the magazines, the weapons, the modification that apparently
- 18:00Speaker 1: have taken place to those weapons they are involved here.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I don't need to wait another minute, let alone an
- 18:08Speaker 1: hour to take common sense steps oh save the lives
- 18:12Speaker 1: in the future, and to urge my colleagues in the
- 18:15Speaker 1: House and Senate to act. We can ban assault weapons
- 18:19Speaker 1: and high capacity magazines in this country once again. I
- 18:24Speaker 1: got that done when I was a Senator. It passed,
- 18:27Speaker 1: it was law for the longest time, and had brought
- 18:31Speaker 1: down these mass killings. We should do it again. We
- 18:36Speaker 1: can close the loopholes on our background check system, including
- 18:39Speaker 1: the Charleston loophole. That's one of the best tools we
- 18:42Speaker 1: have right now to prevent gun violence. The Senate should
- 18:47Speaker 1: immediately pass let me say it again, the United States Senate,
- 18:51Speaker 1: I hope some are listening, should immediately pass the two
- 18:55Speaker 1: House passed builds the closed loopholes in the background check system.
- 19:00Speaker 1: These are bills. They receive votes of both Republicans and
- 19:03Speaker 1: Democrats in the House. This is not it should not
- 19:07Speaker 1: be a partisan issue. This is an American issue. It
- 19:11Speaker 1: will save lives, American lives, and we have to act.
- 19:16Speaker 1: We should also ban assault weapons in the process. All right,
- 19:20Speaker 1: So we're gonna do all these things that they say
- 19:24Speaker 1: are going to stop this shooting from happening. They had
- 19:29Speaker 1: background checks, the ones that they're talking about in Colorado
- 19:34Speaker 1: already in place, didn't stop the shooting. So why are
- 19:36Speaker 1: we going to pass the law on nationwide that would
- 19:37Speaker 1: have not stopped the shooting. Because this isn't about stopping
- 19:40Speaker 1: the shooting. This is about taking away rights of law
- 19:42Speaker 1: abiding citizens. They're not making us safer by doing what
- 19:46Speaker 1: they just said. Know that this is saying, because of this,
- 19:54Speaker 1: we're going to do something else that would not stop
- 19:56Speaker 1: what just happened. By telling you that we're gonna stop
- 19:58Speaker 1: what just happened, sender Ted Cruz did an excellent job
- 20:05Speaker 1: yesterday of making it abundantly clear that what they're selling
- 20:08Speaker 1: you is a total bag of lies, and he obliterated
- 20:13Speaker 1: the Left's push for gun control using this tragic Boulder
- 20:17Speaker 1: shooting with facts. Take a listen. Once again we wake
- 20:20Speaker 1: up to a horrific act of mass murder. All of
- 20:24Speaker 1: us lift up in prayer the families and Boulder, Colorado,
- 20:29Speaker 1: families in Atlanta that lost their lives and claiming the
- 20:31Speaker 1: police officer in Boulder, Colorado. I can tell you in
- 20:35Speaker 1: Texas we've seen far too many of these. I was
- 20:39Speaker 1: in Santa Fe the morning of that shooting. Santa Fe
- 20:43Speaker 1: High School is less than an hour from my house.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I was in al Paso at the Walmart for yet
- 20:50Speaker 1: another senseless mass murder. I was in Dallas where five
- 20:55Speaker 1: police officers were murdered by a radical. I was in
- 20:59Speaker 1: Sutherland Springs, in that beautiful sanctuary where a monster murdered
- 21:05Speaker 1: innocent people. I've been to two damn many of these.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Senator from Connecticut just said it's time for us to
- 21:17Speaker 1: do something. I agree, it is time for us to
- 21:20Speaker 1: do something. And every time there's a shooting, we play
- 21:24Speaker 1: this ridiculous theater where this committee gets together and proposes
- 21:30Speaker 1: a bunch of laws that would do nothing to stop
- 21:34Speaker 1: these murders. Senator from Connecticut just said, the folks on
- 21:38Speaker 1: the other side of the aisle have no solutions. While
- 21:41Speaker 1: the Senator from Connecticut knows that is false, and he
- 21:44Speaker 1: knows that's false because Senator Grassley and I together introduce
- 21:47Speaker 1: legislation Grassley CRUs targeted at violent criminals, targeted at felon's,
- 21:52Speaker 1: targeted at fugitives, targeted at those with serious mental disease,
- 21:57Speaker 1: to stop them from getting firearms, to put them in
- 22:00Speaker 1: prison when they try to illegally buy guns. What happens
- 22:05Speaker 1: in this committee after every mass shooting is Democrats proposed
- 22:08Speaker 1: taking away guns from law abiding citizens because that's their
- 22:12Speaker 1: political objective. But what they proposed not only does it
- 22:16Speaker 1: not reduce crime, it makes it worse. The jurisdictions in
- 22:20Speaker 1: this country with the strictest gun control have among the
- 22:23Speaker 1: highest rates of crime and murder. When you disarm law
- 22:26Speaker 1: abiding citizens, you make them more likely to be victims.
- 22:30Speaker 1: If you want to stop these murders, go after the murderers.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Grassly CRUs came to a vote on the floor of
- 22:40Speaker 1: the Senate in twenty thirteen. It got a majority vote
- 22:43Speaker 1: on the floor of the Senate. Fifty two senators voted
- 22:45Speaker 1: for Grassly Cruz. In the Harry Read Democratic Senate. Nine
- 22:50Speaker 1: Democratic senators voted for Grassly Cruz, the most bipartisan support
- 22:55Speaker 1: of any of the comprehensive legislation. So why did it
- 22:59Speaker 1: pass into law? Because Democratic senators, including many of the
- 23:03Speaker 1: senators in this room, including the Center from Connecticut who
- 23:06Speaker 1: just said Republicans have no answers, philibustered the law and
- 23:09Speaker 1: prevented it from passing demanded sixty votes. If Grassly Crews
- 23:15Speaker 1: had passed into law, Sutherland Springs very likely would not
- 23:19Speaker 1: have happened. Why is that because the shooter there, the
- 23:23Speaker 1: murderer there, had a conviction in the Air Force that
- 23:27Speaker 1: the Obama Air Force failed to report to the background
- 23:30Speaker 1: check system, and Grassly Crews mandated an audit of all
- 23:33Speaker 1: of the convictions to make sure the background check database
- 23:36Speaker 1: has those felonies in it. Not only that Grassly CRUs
- 23:39Speaker 1: mandated that when a felon tries to illegally buy a
- 23:42Speaker 1: firearm that the Department of Justice prosecute them. The Department
- 23:47Speaker 1: of Justice has a long and I think indefensible practice
- 23:50Speaker 1: of not prosecuting felons and fugitives who tried illegally buy guns.
- 23:55Speaker 1: If Grassly Crews had passed the gun Crimes task Force
- 23:58Speaker 1: that it had created would have charged prosecutors with going
- 24:03Speaker 1: after gun criminals, locking them up and putting them in prison.
- 24:06Speaker 1: That's how we prevent these Now, we will learn in
- 24:10Speaker 1: the coming days and weeks the exact motivation of the
- 24:14Speaker 1: murderers in Atlanta and Boulder, Colorado, will learn what happened there.
- 24:21Speaker 1: But we already know this pattern is predictable, over and
- 24:24Speaker 1: over and over again. There are steps we can take
- 24:27Speaker 1: to stop these crimes. And you know what the steps aren't.
- 24:30Speaker 1: The steps aren't disarming law abiding citizens. Every year, firearms
- 24:38Speaker 1: are used in a defensive capacity to defend women, children,
- 24:41Speaker 1: families roughly a million times a year in the United States,
- 24:45Speaker 1: and the Democrats who want to take away the guns
- 24:47Speaker 1: from those potential victims would create more victims of crimes,
- 24:51Speaker 1: not less. I agree it's a time for actions. And
- 24:55Speaker 1: by the way, I don't apologize for thoughts or prayers.
- 24:58Speaker 1: I will lift up in prayer people who hurting, and
- 25:01Speaker 1: I believe in the power of prayer and the contempt
- 25:03Speaker 1: of Democrats for prayers is an odd sociological thing. But
- 25:08Speaker 1: I also agree thoughts and prayers alone are not enough.
- 25:11Speaker 1: We need action today. Chairman Grassley and I are introducing
- 25:15Speaker 1: again Grassley Cruz and I would ask Senate Democrats, including
- 25:19Speaker 1: some of our newer colleagues who just got here, not
- 25:22Speaker 1: to participate again in the shameful filibuster that this body
- 25:27Speaker 1: engaged in in twenty thirteen. Let's target the bad guys,
- 25:31Speaker 1: the felons, the fugitives, those with mental disease. Let's put
- 25:34Speaker 1: them in jail, Let's stop them from getting guns. Let's
- 25:36Speaker 1: not scapegoat innocent, law abiding citizens, and let's not target
- 25:41Speaker 1: their constitutional rights. Ted Cruz absolutely right, by the way,
- 25:47Speaker 1: why would you target law abiding citizens in this country
- 25:52Speaker 1: and scapegoat then when they have done absolutely nothing wrong
- 25:56Speaker 1: instead of actually stopping people from getting these guns? Who
- 25:59Speaker 1: are the psyche capacity just mentioned? Because Democrats don't really
- 26:02Speaker 1: want to stop this crap, They want to take away
- 26:04Speaker 1: your right to bear arms. Why do you think they
- 26:08Speaker 1: came out so quickly attacking conservatives, white men, lying about
- 26:15Speaker 1: the motive behind this individual, saying it's a white guy.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Why do you think they did that because they were
- 26:21Speaker 1: already they were this was already orchestrated, They were already
- 26:25Speaker 1: ready to pounce. They were already ready to come out,
- 26:27Speaker 1: and no matter what the actual news was. It doesn't
- 26:31Speaker 1: matter what the real news is. It didn't matter what
- 26:34Speaker 1: the real motive is. They were going to not let
- 26:36Speaker 1: this tragedy go to waste to push their political agenda
- 26:39Speaker 1: that very well would have nothing to do with stopping
- 26:41Speaker 1: this shooter because they hate the fact that law abiding
- 26:46Speaker 1: citizens in this country can protect and defend themselves. And
- 26:48Speaker 1: you apparently your public enemy number one, especially if you're white,
- 26:52Speaker 1: which is racist. Their words not mine, their words not mine.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Must be a white maga guy, Nope, guy hated Donald Trump.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Must be a white man with a gun. Nope, a
- 27:05Speaker 1: guy from Syria. Not a conservative at all. It's a
- 27:10Speaker 1: guy who aides Trump. And apparently it's an Isis sympathizer.
- 27:16Speaker 1: You want to know what Vice President Harris is doing.
- 27:20Speaker 1: They're focus. They're coming after your guns, folks. They don't
- 27:24Speaker 1: care about any of the facts. She just went after
- 27:27Speaker 1: all of you on CBS this morning saying this, And
- 27:31Speaker 1: I believe that it is possible, it has to be
- 27:34Speaker 1: possible that people agree that these slaughters have to stop.
- 27:41Speaker 1: And this is again, reject the false choice and stop
- 27:44Speaker 1: pushing it. For sure, stop pushing the false choice that
- 27:47Speaker 1: this means everybody's trying to come after your guns. That
- 27:50Speaker 1: is not what we're talking about. Well, you're certainly not
- 27:53Speaker 1: going after the guy that did it. You're certainly not
- 27:54Speaker 1: telling the truth about an iis to sympathizer an anti
- 27:57Speaker 1: Trump guy that did it. You're pushing legislation that we
- 28:01Speaker 1: know would have had no bearing on the outcome of
- 28:03Speaker 1: this shooter. I mean, they were ready for this, folks.
- 28:07Speaker 1: The Democrats are rate A pounds. They were all in here.
- 28:13Speaker 1: They were all in on this. This culture the country,
- 28:19Speaker 1: This country has a culture of arrogance. Is what CNN's
- 28:22Speaker 1: Mud had to say, unleashing on Americans and our gun culture, saying,
- 28:25Speaker 1: how dare you not understand where we are right now?
- 28:29Speaker 1: You keep talking about mental health? Phil here and I
- 28:31Speaker 1: want to read you what the brother of the suspect
- 28:33Speaker 1: told CNN. He always suspected someone was behind him, someone
- 28:37Speaker 1: was chasing him. We kept a close eye on him
- 28:39Speaker 1: when he was at high school. He would say, someone
- 28:40Speaker 1: is chasing me, someone is investigating me, and we're like,
- 28:43Speaker 1: come on, man, there's nothing. He was just closing into himself.
- 28:48Speaker 1: So if you hear that and you're investigating this, what
- 28:51Speaker 1: do you think? What do you do where I have
- 28:53Speaker 1: two views. The first is be careful. Do we want
- 28:57Speaker 1: people who are friends or family calling federal authorities or
- 29:00Speaker 1: state authorities and saying, my friend or family shouldn't have
- 29:03Speaker 1: a weapon. How are you supposed to investigate this at
- 29:06Speaker 1: the state and local or the federal level. That's you know,
- 29:08Speaker 1: there's three hundred thirty million of people. I think people
- 29:11Speaker 1: who say that are saying things that are appropriate. But
- 29:13Speaker 1: there's a there's a simpler answer. Look, this will offend you.
- 29:17Speaker 1: I'm an American. I'm a proud American, but we live
- 29:19Speaker 1: in the United States of arrogance. If you look at
- 29:22Speaker 1: educational standards in this country, they are mediocre because we
- 29:25Speaker 1: cannot look to Asia and Europe and say somebody has
- 29:27Speaker 1: a better way. If you look at access to healthcare
- 29:30Speaker 1: in this country, we are mediocre because we cannot look
- 29:33Speaker 1: to Asia and Europe and say other people have better access.
- 29:36Speaker 1: We should learn. If you look at violent crime and
- 29:38Speaker 1: suicide by weapon and you look at Asian and Europe,
- 29:41Speaker 1: we simply look at Americans say we're exceptional. We cannot
- 29:45Speaker 1: look at other countries and say we can learn. This
- 29:47Speaker 1: country has a problem with arrogance. John, and you're seeing
- 29:49Speaker 1: it in spades when we're dealing with these violent crimes.
- 29:54Speaker 1: So you notice he didn't say anything there, But we're
- 29:56Speaker 1: going to attack all the arrogant Americans who believe that
- 29:58Speaker 1: our Second Amendments valuable. This country is a culture of arrogance,
- 30:02Speaker 1: or the United States of arrogance. They're seeing in for
- 30:05Speaker 1: you this morning. They're coming after your guns at all costs,
- 30:11Speaker 1: and they will not stop until they get them. And
- 30:13Speaker 1: they will lie about what the outcome would have been
- 30:15Speaker 1: if they even have the laws or demanding that would
- 30:17Speaker 1: have been passed. The laws of their demanding right now
- 30:20Speaker 1: would have had no influence on this shooting, and we
- 30:21Speaker 1: know it because of Colorado's laws on guns. All right, Lastly,
