  Speaker 4: where we are right now. If you've gone on an airport,

  Speaker 4: if you're dealing with this during spring break travel, then

  Speaker 4: you've probably seen what so many are talking about. Hours

  Speaker 4: long waits at major airports around the country, and we're

  Speaker 4: in the middle of a full boil blown TSA crisis

  Speaker 4: and it's hitting travelers hard. More than fifty thousand TSA
• 3:07
  Speaker 4: agents have been working without a paycheck for over a month.

  Speaker 4: I want you to think about that. The people responsible
• 3:14
  Speaker 4: for keeping our skies safe are showing up every day

  Speaker 4: doing their jobs and they're not getting a paycheck. This

  Speaker 4: is all because the Democrats wanting to defund ICE, and

  Speaker 4: this is their protest move, saying we're going to get

  Speaker 4: rid of the Department of Homeland Security funding. They know

  Speaker 4: that this is a problem, they know it's hurting people's lives,

  Speaker 4: and they don't care. The consequences, by the way, are
• 3:39
  Speaker 4: exactly what you'd expect. We're now seeing thousands of TSA

  Speaker 4: agents calling out every single day. At one point, more
• 3:46
  Speaker 4: than three thousand agents were absent in a single day.

  Speaker 4: On top of that, hundreds have already quit the job,

  Speaker 4: walking away from the job entirely because they simply can't
• 3:55
  Speaker 4: afford to keep working without pay. The result chaos the

  Speaker 4: airports across the country. We are talking about wait times

  Speaker 4: now stretching two hours or more, lines wrapping through terminals,

  Speaker 4: families missing multiple flights, business travelers also stranded, and in

  Speaker 4: some locations, absentee rates are hitting double digits, even as

  Speaker 4: high as forty percent, putting every American's life at risk.

  Speaker 4: Let's be clear about that. Because of the anarchy and

  Speaker 4: the chaos, if you're traveling, you should be angry because

  Speaker 4: you're still being taxed and the services the government shorts

  Speaker 4: just the beginning. It is a strain we are now

  Speaker 4: being told on national security, and that's where the story

  Speaker 4: changes for me big time. Instead of waiting around for

  Speaker 4: Washington gridlock to magically fix itself, President Trump showed the

  Speaker 4: leadership yet again, stepping in and taking action. The administration

  Speaker 4: has begun to pouring hundreds of ICE agents to major

  Speaker 4: airports across the country, not as a replacement for TSA,

  Speaker 4: but his reinforcement. These ICE officers are helping with crowd control,

  Speaker 4: ID checks and managing lines, allowing the TSA agents to

  Speaker 4: focus on what matters most, actual screening and security of
• 5:23
  Speaker 4: people getting on airplanes. President Trump put it simply. He

  Speaker 4: said ICE agents would be going to airports to help

  Speaker 4: with what he called our wonderful TSA agents, while also

  Speaker 4: making it clear that the funding hold up is putting

  Speaker 4: Americans at risk, and the administration isn't mincing words about

  Speaker 4: the strategy here. Officials say the President's using every tool

  Speaker 4: available to keep airports running and travelers moving, deploying already trained,

  Speaker 4: already funded federal personnel to stabilize the system immediately the

  Speaker 4: borders are Tom Homan said it directly, they're doing everything

  Speaker 4: Vice President JD. Vance summed it up this way, saying,

  Speaker 4: under pressure, thousands of workers stretch thin, long lines, rising frustration.

  Speaker 4: Washington are arguing or holding Americans hostage, this administration is

  Speaker 4: order and making sure Americans can travel, most importantly safely,

  Speaker 4: because at the end of the day, leadership isn't about talking,

  Speaker 4: clearly doing. Now, there are a lot of Americans that

  Speaker 4: are really upset that this has even gotten to this point.

  Speaker 4: To be clear, this is all being done by design.

  Speaker 4: to happen this way. They orchestrated it to happen this way.

  Speaker 4: the airport. They wanted you to be hurting as you

  Speaker 4: go to the airport. Now, Tom Homan went on CNN

  Speaker 4: he was asked about this exactly today and what exactly

  Speaker 4: it's going to look like with more of these agents

  Speaker 1: Are ICE agents even remotely trained to handle security at airports?

  Speaker 3: the ICE agents are assigned up many airports across the country.

  Speaker 3: smogger airports. But you know there's I mean, there's got

  Speaker 3: ts agents covering exits, you know, people to enter through

  Speaker 3: the exits. You know, certainly a highly trained ICE lall

  Speaker 3: enforcement officers can cover an exit, makes people people don't

  Speaker 3: go through those exits enter an airport through the exits

  Speaker 3: and that stuff like that relieves that TSA officer to

  Speaker 3: go to screening and to reduce those lines so where

  Speaker 3: we can provide extra secret I don't see an ICE

  Speaker 3: ag looking at an X ray machine because you're not

  Speaker 3: trained in that. There are certain parts of security that

  Speaker 3: TSA is doing that we can move them off those

  Speaker 3: jobs and put them in the specialized jobs help move

  Speaker 3: those lines.

  Speaker 1: Okay, that was going to be my next question. So

  Speaker 1: what you're saying is when you move ICE into airports,

  Speaker 1: they are going to be just around the exits and

  Speaker 1: the exteriors. They're not going to be helping people get

  Speaker 1: through the lines and screening people's bags.

  Speaker 3: Those discussions are going on. Now. I'm not expert at TSA,

  Speaker 3: so that's why I'm talking to the TSA administrator and

  Speaker 3: the ICE director find out where we can fit in.

  Speaker 3: we're standing them. But let's the discussion we're right now.

  Speaker 4: in this country because of the Democrats holding everyone hostage.

  Speaker 2: next week, they're going to quit or they're not going

  Speaker 2: to show up a lot of the starting salaries at

  Speaker 2: TSA they're right around fifty f thousand dollars. So if

  Speaker 2: you live in you know, one of the big cities

  Speaker 2: of America, LA, or New York or or Miami, it's

  Speaker 2: hard for these individuals already to make their ends meet,

  Speaker 2: but with out getting paychecks, it's even that much more challenging.

  Speaker 2: And so they're going to take other jobs to put
• 10:15
  Speaker 2: food on the table and pay the rent. So I

  Speaker 2: do think it's going to get much worse. And as

  Speaker 2: it gets worse, I think that puts pressure on the

  Speaker 2: Congress to come to a resolution. Democrats have to say,

  Speaker 2: you know what, we're not going to defund this, We're
• 10:27
  Speaker 2: going to actually work together have some common sense reform
• 10:29
  Speaker 2: that the President we'll work with us on, and you know,
• 10:32
  Speaker 2: let's get America working again. And the last thing you

  Speaker 2: want as you travel is to deal with political fights
• 10:40
  Speaker 2: at the airport. Let that stay in in Congress, but

  Speaker 2: don't extract pain out of me and my family as
