- 0:04Speaker 1: Come on, Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning, everybody.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Are you listening to the voice? Come on, dig me now,
- 0:17Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay,
- 0:22Speaker 1: I got something for you today. I'm gonna have a
- 0:28Speaker 1: conversation this morning about my understanding of grace now that
- 0:33Speaker 1: I've gotten older and I've come into a better understanding
- 0:37Speaker 1: of a lot of things I didn't know about when
- 0:39Speaker 1: I was younger. This is just my interpretation of grace.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Now once again, y'all listen to me. I ain't nobody's pastor,
- 0:50Speaker 1: I ain't nobody's minister. So you know, I'm pretty sure
- 0:53Speaker 1: you can go to church and get a far more
- 0:56Speaker 1: extensive definition of one I'm giving you. I'm just talking
- 0:59Speaker 1: to people. You know. Grace is this thing that God
- 1:05Speaker 1: provides for us, and grace is just things that you
- 1:11Speaker 1: get that's really undeserving, you know. I mean, I look
- 1:15Speaker 1: at my life as it is today and now, look,
- 1:17Speaker 1: I work hard and I have faith in God that
- 1:20Speaker 1: I do so things are going to happen in my life.
- 1:24Speaker 1: But the way my life is now, I don't don't.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I don't deserve all of this. I don't. I don't.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I don't look at it that way. I have been
- 1:32Speaker 1: the beneficiary of God's grace. I have aligned myself in
- 1:37Speaker 1: a position to accept whatever grace God has for me,
- 1:43Speaker 1: and it will be far abundant and exceedingly in anything
- 1:48Speaker 1: you could think of. His grace supersedes anything you could
- 1:53Speaker 1: possibly imagine. You know, the goals that I set, and
- 1:56Speaker 1: the aspirations that I shoot for, and the things that
- 1:58Speaker 1: I have on my dream I have the faith that
- 2:01Speaker 1: God will give it to me. But what He does
- 2:03Speaker 1: with grace, he gives you far more than that. He
- 2:06Speaker 1: gives you what He has for you, not what you
- 2:10Speaker 1: can see. You can't see all He has for you.
- 2:13Speaker 1: It's impossible. Who are you? How can you possibly imagine
- 2:16Speaker 1: what he can imagine? How can you possibly think how
- 2:19Speaker 1: he can think? How can you possibly do what he
- 2:21Speaker 1: can do? How can it be that isn't a single
- 2:25Speaker 1: mind living or a collection of minds that could have
- 2:28Speaker 1: thought of Earth? What in your wildest imagination could have
- 2:33Speaker 1: made you think of Earth? The stars, the heavens, the oceans,
- 2:39Speaker 1: the galaxy, the constellations? What in your mind? What in
- 2:44Speaker 1: any man's mind? We can point at it and analyze it,
- 2:47Speaker 1: but we show couldn't have thought of it. So come on, now,
- 2:51Speaker 1: I'm talking about lining yourself up with God's grace, which
- 2:56Speaker 1: he will give to you if you want some of
- 2:59Speaker 1: it now. But now here's the thing about grace. It
- 3:02Speaker 1: can't be bought. If it could be bought, I'm telling you,
- 3:06Speaker 1: I would pull all the money I have and dump
- 3:10Speaker 1: it into grace, because, after discovering what it is, it's
- 3:15Speaker 1: this goodness that God shines on you simply as a
- 3:20Speaker 1: reward of some type for His love for you and
- 3:24Speaker 1: for you attempting, for you attempting to do right, not
- 3:30Speaker 1: because you get it right. Because if He judged us
- 3:32Speaker 1: purely on how we are the right and wrong of it,
- 3:35Speaker 1: we would all be doomed, all of us, every last
- 3:40Speaker 1: one of us would be doomed because we all fall short,
- 3:44Speaker 1: we all make mistakes, we all sin, we all get
- 3:48Speaker 1: it wrong from time to time. Nobody's perfect. Man. Now
- 3:53Speaker 1: I understand what my mother was saying about cleaning the house.
- 3:57Speaker 1: All I want is a little more grace. All I
- 4:00Speaker 1: need is a little more grace when the last time
- 4:02Speaker 1: you ask God for some grace. Now I'm not talking
- 4:05Speaker 1: to you like I know everything. If you just benefit
- 4:09Speaker 1: from His grace, what you already have, But if you're
- 4:13Speaker 1: not aware of it, you don't know what's going on.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Become aware of grace, Get aware of the fact that
- 4:19Speaker 1: God does things for you simply because He loves you.
- 4:22Speaker 1: He does things for you that you don't even deserve. Somehow,
- 4:26Speaker 1: you just wonder how you just got over when you
- 4:29Speaker 1: didn't even do the things to get over. Sometimes you
- 4:33Speaker 1: don't even know how you got that job you got
- 4:35Speaker 1: when you ain't even really do the things to get
- 4:38Speaker 1: your job. How you end up where you are all
- 4:40Speaker 1: the education you thought you went and got, and hey,
- 4:43Speaker 1: how you end up where you are today in a
- 4:45Speaker 1: much better position than your education could have ever gotten you.
- 4:49Speaker 1: That's grace. How I get every place I am today.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I didn't plan this, Man. If I could have planned
- 4:56Speaker 1: my life the way it is, don't you know, I'd
- 4:57Speaker 1: have done it when I was living in that car,
- 5:00Speaker 1: if I knew how to do it. No, I've benefited
- 5:02Speaker 1: from his grace. I'm just a beneficiary of his grace,
- 5:08Speaker 1: of his goodness and his mercy. God's goodness is better
- 5:12Speaker 1: than your goodness. God's goodness is better than your mother's goodness.
- 5:16Speaker 1: It's better than your wife's or your husband or your
- 5:19Speaker 1: Boo's goodness, God's goodness is different. His goodness, man covers
- 5:25Speaker 1: some stuff you can't even imagine. So why are you
- 5:29Speaker 1: trying to put your life together when the last time
- 5:32Speaker 1: you asked him for just a little bit of grace?
- 5:36Speaker 1: When have you thought of your life in terms of
- 5:39Speaker 1: the grace that it has already benefited from?
- 5:42Speaker 2: Have you ever done that?
- 5:44Speaker 1: Man? Just thought about you know you hear songs like
- 5:46Speaker 1: my soul, look back and wonder how I got over?
- 5:49Speaker 1: That was grace. That's all I can call it. Now,
- 5:51Speaker 1: Like I said, you can go to church or somewherever
- 5:54Speaker 1: you want to, and ministers at the window at school
- 5:56Speaker 1: to teach this thing way better than me. I'm just
- 5:59Speaker 1: giving you from a layman standpoint, Man, have you thought
- 6:02Speaker 1: about his grace? Would you not bewall to be a
- 6:05Speaker 1: beneficiary of his grace? Would it not? Certain?
- 6:08Speaker 3: Now?
- 6:08Speaker 1: Check this out. The better you try to do, the
- 6:13Speaker 1: more grace he'll give to you. Now that grace can't
- 6:15Speaker 1: be bought, Like I said, it's free. You can't purchase grace.
- 6:21Speaker 1: But the better you try to become the more the
- 6:23Speaker 1: more grace he gets to put your way. So, man,
- 6:26Speaker 1: just try why don't you just try to do better? Look, man,
- 6:31Speaker 1: quit talking about it. I'm gonna start next week. I'm
- 6:33Speaker 1: gonna start at the new year, now you not, Yeah,
- 6:35Speaker 1: you do that every year ever at the new Year.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I wanna eat better at the new Year. I'm na.
- 6:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna go and get in here and the new year.
- 6:42Speaker 1: If you're gonna do it, you're gonna do it now. Man,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you're gonna do nothing. Stop trying do something. Do it,
- 6:50Speaker 1: Stop talking about it, do it now. The best way
- 6:53Speaker 1: to benefit from his grace is starting action now, n
- 6:58Speaker 1: O W now, right now today, what you waiting on,
- 7:03Speaker 1: all you doing is delaying his opportunity to bless you.
- 7:08Speaker 1: You know, man, do you know how many times we
- 7:10Speaker 1: do that? We delay his opportunity to bless us by
- 7:14Speaker 1: not starting now. If you gonna get healthy, why don't
- 7:18Speaker 1: you start now?
- 7:18Speaker 3: Now.
- 7:18Speaker 1: You're gonna trip a little bit because the holiday's coming,
- 7:21Speaker 1: but you ain't got to eat bad all the time.
- 7:23Speaker 1: You could start eating correct today you could. You could,
- 7:28Speaker 1: and then guess what, there could be some grace on
- 7:30Speaker 1: the end of that. I'm just giving you a little
- 7:32Speaker 1: cheap analogy. But do you feel what I'm saying to you?
- 7:36Speaker 1: Start thinking in terms of grace. What He has done
- 7:39Speaker 1: for you and provided for you that you ain't even
- 7:41Speaker 1: see coming. That you know, you keep calling them blessings,
- 7:44Speaker 1: and I got that. A lot of it OUs all
- 7:45Speaker 1: it is. But man, have you thought about the stuff
- 7:48Speaker 1: that didn't happen to you you can't account for. For me,
- 7:53Speaker 1: that's been grace and I'm beneficiary of it. And that's
- 7:56Speaker 1: available to everybody that won't sung. Next time you talking
- 8:00Speaker 1: to him, just check in with grace. See what that is.
- 8:02Speaker 1: That's that's better than money.
- 8:05Speaker 4: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, today is the day that the Lord
- 8:16Speaker 1: has made.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Now listen for all of the critics out there that
- 8:24Speaker 1: have for some reason decided to judge me on my
- 8:27Speaker 1: level of faith, I do not care. I love the Lord,
- 8:31Speaker 1: and the Lord love me. I have proof of that.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I'm doing the best I can the way I can. Now,
- 8:38Speaker 1: you got another way to reach souls and help people
- 8:40Speaker 1: out with their lives.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Congratulations, do your thing. This is the way I'm doing it.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I'm reminding people in the morning that it is not theirs.
- 8:50Speaker 1: It don't belong to us. It belongs to God. He
- 8:53Speaker 1: allowed us to be present in it. That's why they
- 8:56Speaker 1: call it the present, because He gave it to us free.
- 9:00Speaker 1: He woke us up. We ought to be grateful. It's
- 9:02Speaker 1: another opportunity, another chance, another shot to get it right.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Come on, y'all, get your day started with the positive attitude.
- 9:09Speaker 1: It will affect your if you start with gratitude, affect
- 9:13Speaker 1: your attitude and pertains directly to your altitude. Come on, now,

- 9:56Speaker 2: You don't help me. Next question.
- 9:58Speaker 5: Okay, No, look over there at the the other ball

- 10:30Speaker 5: I said, I didn't even come on. I said, Miss
- 10:32Speaker 5: Harvey is not the type person. But you though were
- 10:34Speaker 5: purpurchating everything that's on me though you already said it.
- 10:37Speaker 1: No tell you what, Tommy. Tommy went behind the dude
- 10:41Speaker 1: in New York. They was finn to jump on me
- 10:43Speaker 1: outside this event, and Tommy went behind him with a chill.
- 10:47Speaker 1: He was gonna clan the clock. Now he had put

- 19:37Speaker 1: You think Raymond was in the garage?
- 19:39Speaker 8: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 20:28Speaker 10: Join us in being part of the transformation applied, donate
- 20:32Speaker 10: or partner with us today at TMCF dot org. Coming
- 20:36Speaker 10: up at the top of the hour.
- 20:38Speaker 8: In entertainment news, Kevin Hart said that he didn't offend
- 20:41Speaker 8: anyone at his Netflix roast. We'll talk about that, and
- 20:46Speaker 8: comedian Tony Hinchcliffe said he's not a racist and he
- 20:49Speaker 8: was just doing what comedians do at a roast. Also,
- 20:53Speaker 8: living legend, Miss Patty LaBelle said she is indeed just
- 20:58Speaker 8: that a legend. These stories are all coming up at
- 21:01Speaker 8: the top of the hour, but right now it is
- 21:04Speaker 8: time to ask the c l O, our Chief Love Officer,
- 21:07Speaker 8: Steve Harvey.
- 21:08Speaker 4: All right, this is from Rose in Chicago.
- 21:11Speaker 8: Rose wrightes, my husband refused to sign for a package
- 21:14Speaker 8: that I bought.
- 21:17Speaker 4: Don't you love this?
- 21:18Speaker 3: Oh?
- 21:18Speaker 2: My god?
- 21:19Speaker 8: Yes, yes, all right. My husband refused to sign a
- 21:25Speaker 8: package that I bought. Rose says, little did he know
- 21:28Speaker 8: it was a watch for his birthday and he thought
- 21:31Speaker 8: by refusing to sign for it it would make me
- 21:34Speaker 8: stop shopping. I returned it and didn't get him a
- 21:37Speaker 8: gift at all. Was I wrong for that?
- 21:41Speaker 1: Well? Can I call you Rose? Yes, Jail Look, Rose,
- 21:53Speaker 1: it was foul of your husband to not sign for
- 21:56Speaker 1: the package and so I think we've learned a lesson here. Now.
- 22:01Speaker 1: It's too bad you had to teach it to it
- 22:04Speaker 1: on his birthday. But it just depends on how you
- 22:08Speaker 1: broke it to it. It would have been slick if
- 22:11Speaker 1: you just said, what did you do? Babe? You you
- 22:16Speaker 1: didn't sign for the package? Are you serious? Yeah, that'll
- 22:20Speaker 1: teach you not to shop. Maybe that was your watch
- 22:24Speaker 1: I bought you for your birthday guilt? Oh no? And
- 22:31Speaker 1: then and then just said you can't get your money
- 22:34Speaker 1: back and they can't find the watch. Ah, you should
- 22:38Speaker 1: have played. You should have milked that all the way.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Our boy he'd have been.
- 22:42Speaker 8: Yeah, and just what, I'm pretty sure you didn't do
- 22:44Speaker 8: that to you and all the husbands. It's not gonna
- 22:47Speaker 8: make her stop shop ever, that's not gonna be.
- 22:50Speaker 1: You ain't gonna tell me nothing I've been gay.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Matter of fact, I don't even mention it.
- 22:57Speaker 4: Right, think of something else, because that's not gonna do it.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Okay. I just Amazon box coming here and nine there
- 23:03Speaker 1: with her fish and stuff in it.
- 23:04Speaker 8: You know, yeah, what are you talking about?
- 23:07Speaker 4: All right?
- 23:08Speaker 1: Moving on to bast pro shop socks. Just don't y'all
- 23:12Speaker 1: know that?
- 23:15Speaker 4: Congratulations?
- 23:17Speaker 1: Hold them and everything coming back and white.
- 23:19Speaker 8: All right, all right, This is from Elvin and Tulsa.
- 23:23Speaker 8: Elvin writes, I've been with my girlfriend for three years.
- 23:26Speaker 8: She was ill recently, and she said that experience changed
- 23:29Speaker 8: her values in life. Lately, she won't shave, she won't
- 23:33Speaker 8: get her toes done, and she isn't wearing makeup.
- 23:37Speaker 4: Yeah, she won't shave.
- 23:39Speaker 8: So how do I tell her that I don't like
- 23:41Speaker 8: the quote unquote knew her.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Well, maybe this is what you got to do, dog,
- 23:47Speaker 1: You got to research the illness.
- 23:49Speaker 4: Huh, you gotta research the illness. Oh and what Yeah.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Because if they don gave her like monts or something
- 23:58Speaker 1: like that, she ain't gonna do nothing.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Now to live.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:03Speaker 4: See what I'm saying, she's terminal.
- 24:06Speaker 1: You don't know. Hey, she dinna stop doing her handway Max,
- 24:09Speaker 1: She don't do her toes no more. Somebody said something
- 24:11Speaker 1: to her down at that doctor's office. She said it
- 24:14Speaker 1: changed her.
- 24:15Speaker 4: She won't shave.
- 24:16Speaker 8: Yeah, she said that this experience changed her values in life,
- 24:23Speaker 8: her value and which means she doesn't shave anymore.
- 24:27Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm shaving her while she's sleep. I'm just telling
- 24:30Speaker 7: you that right now, I'm going to get I'm gonna
- 24:33Speaker 7: get all up on that. I'm gonna shave you while
- 24:35Speaker 7: you sleep. Now you're gonna wake up.
- 24:36Speaker 1: But NICKD when I get what you don't want to
- 24:39Speaker 1: do is mess around and watch my values change. That's
- 24:42Speaker 1: what thats what you need to be careful. Now, everybody's
- 24:44Speaker 1: house sick.
- 24:45Speaker 4: Now what will that consist of? If your value all sick?
- 24:49Speaker 2: Because I like sha even, I like making, I like
- 24:53Speaker 2: doing your nails.
- 24:54Speaker 1: So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go find
- 24:56Speaker 1: somebody that do shave, do their nails and like make up.
- 25:01Speaker 2: That's what I'm gonna do. My bag is gonna get run.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Okay, all right, ain't no problem.
- 25:08Speaker 4: You change, I change.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Okay, all you need to show me the paper that
- 25:12Speaker 1: say you really see the paper?
- 25:16Speaker 4: The paper. We're just moving on.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Report you brought out of here?
- 25:22Speaker 4: Tim moving on to Drinka and.
- 25:25Speaker 2: How long I got to stay by your side?
- 25:27Speaker 4: Drinka and Philly rights.
- 25:28Speaker 8: My husband and I had lunch with his best friend
- 25:32Speaker 8: and his wife. I wore leggings and a brallet with
- 25:35Speaker 8: the jacket. The best friend told his wife that she
- 25:38Speaker 8: needs an outfit like mine, and that hurt her feelings.
- 25:41Speaker 8: My husband blamed me because I look so good in
- 25:44Speaker 8: my outfit. How is that disrespectful? Disrespectful man's comment my fault.
- 25:50Speaker 2: What's your husband is stupid?
- 25:54Speaker 4: It's like a wear it outside?
- 25:58Speaker 2: Would Your husband stupid?
- 26:01Speaker 1: And he stupid? He shouldn't have said something. He shouldn't
- 26:05Speaker 1: have said nothing about your outfit. He should have kept
- 26:08Speaker 1: that to himself, and he show shouldn't have said it
- 26:10Speaker 1: to his wife. And then your husband sitting up here
- 26:14Speaker 1: now he kind of stupid because you drawing attention to
- 26:17Speaker 1: yourself and it made this woman feel bad. You got
- 26:20Speaker 1: this other man looking at you.
- 26:22Speaker 2: See.
- 26:23Speaker 1: So there's just two two insecure dudes that pleasure.
- 26:30Speaker 2: I do like leggas and bronette stuff.
- 26:32Speaker 4: I do like, yeah, just found out.
- 26:35Speaker 7: Since I know what it is now, I've been liking that.
- 26:38Speaker 7: I've been liking that. I just didn't know what they conted.
- 26:41Speaker 7: I like leggers with a spoil code in her and
- 26:44Speaker 7: found your body suits they wearing.
- 26:49Speaker 8: Now that just but you're not gonna just look paint
- 26:54Speaker 8: tell somebody else.
- 26:55Speaker 1: I saw living taste your wife. It was a family
- 27:00Speaker 1: on family few and they all wore animal prints, and
- 27:07Speaker 1: all I remember was George Wallace's joke. George Wallace said, ladies,
- 27:13Speaker 1: if you've gone where an animal print, make sure that
- 27:18Speaker 1: you are not bigger than the animal you want.
- 27:23Speaker 4: It's horrible.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Stars to Joe. George Wallace said, ladies, if you go
- 27:32Speaker 1: away animal print, make sure you are not bigger than
- 27:36Speaker 1: the animal you represent. Wall liar, He said, now you
- 27:43Speaker 1: just over here. Justice all right, we must have to
- 27:50Speaker 1: move on. We have to Okay, this is the last one.
- 27:54Speaker 8: Latrelle from East Orange says, occasionally I have sex with
- 27:59Speaker 8: my son the preschool teacher. I want to keep it
- 28:02Speaker 8: cool because I don't want drama with my son's mom.
- 28:06Speaker 8: But the chick rubbed on me and winked when I
- 28:08Speaker 8: dropped my son off. I really love the sex, but
- 28:11Speaker 8: is it worth the risk?
- 28:14Speaker 1: I know my baby going to the third grade. I
- 28:16Speaker 1: know that that's what you think. Or your baby can
- 28:20Speaker 1: your baby can do preschool twice. Ain't nobody gonna know that.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Don't even hurt Thank you, c l O. That ain't
- 28:26Speaker 1: nothing right.
- 28:26Speaker 4: You can say you held him back so he was
- 28:28Speaker 4: sawing late. Come on, I want to.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Putting squares in peace and the block. I was acing
- 28:36Speaker 2: all that stuff.
- 28:37Speaker 9: You're listening, Harvey Morning Show.
- 28:44Speaker 8: In a radio interview yesterday, Kevin Hart addressed the backlash
- 28:48Speaker 8: that he's received after a joke and his roast went
- 28:50Speaker 8: viral for being in poor taste and offensive to the
- 28:53Speaker 8: family of George Floyd, who was publicly, of course we know,
- 28:57Speaker 8: murdered by a policeman in manute soda. Hart asked fans
- 29:02Speaker 8: to quote remove me from it. Kevin said, I didn't
- 29:06Speaker 8: disrespect the family. He said that the joke was not
- 29:09Speaker 8: tasteful to our culture, but firmly defended himself and the
- 29:14Speaker 8: nature of comedy roasts. Kevin explained that the shock value
- 29:18Speaker 8: comedy is standard for a roast setting, noting that audiences
- 29:22Speaker 8: who watch these specials understand the context. Kevin also said
- 29:26Speaker 8: that he personally called former NBA star Stefan Jackson, who
- 29:31Speaker 8: was a close friend of George Floyd, to explain the
- 29:34Speaker 8: format of a roast and to smooth things over. So
- 29:37Speaker 8: here's the question, comedians on this show. Do you agree
- 29:40Speaker 8: with Kevin? Is he responsible for the joke or not?
- 29:44Speaker 2: Here's the deal.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I am a friend of Kevin Hartz, Yeah, love him.
- 29:50Speaker 1: I'm a supporter of his and I am his brother.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Here is the one thing that Kevin has to keep
- 29:57Speaker 1: in mind though, as Black people are the only race
- 30:03Speaker 1: of people who are responsible for the actions of each other.
- 30:09Speaker 1: No other race is held to that accountability and that mark.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Now for the culture and the community, the joke was
- 30:19Speaker 1: deemed in poor taste and it was all messed up. Now,
- 30:24Speaker 1: I'll give you an example as to why the black
- 30:26Speaker 1: people have the right to feel that way. Do a
- 30:30Speaker 1: Charlie Kirk joke and see what you get from that side.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Just go do one. If you go do a Charlie
- 30:40Speaker 1: Kirk joke, but go say something about that Charlie Kirk's
- 30:44Speaker 1: death and see what happened to you and possibly your career.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Wow.
- 30:49Speaker 1: So that's what he has to keep in mind.
- 30:52Speaker 8: The comedian Tony Hinchcliffe that made the joke the racist
- 30:56Speaker 8: joke at Kevin Hurt's special his roaster, directly responded to
- 31:01Speaker 8: racism accusations because people were calling him a racist and
- 31:04Speaker 8: all that, so he responded by declaring he is not
- 31:06Speaker 8: a racist. Following major backlash, he defended his use of
- 31:10Speaker 8: aggressive dark humor and refused to apologize, stating that he
- 31:15Speaker 8: was doing what the f a roast is supposed to be.
- 31:18Speaker 8: Those were his words.
- 31:21Speaker 7: Yeah right, you know, well, go ahead, Tom, let me
- 31:25Speaker 7: ask you this in defense to a certain extent from Kevin,
- 31:30Speaker 7: is Kevin over everybody's joke that gets up there and
- 31:33Speaker 7: and tells the joke.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Of course not he's the reci but all those all
- 31:38Speaker 1: those jokes was.
- 31:39Speaker 2: In the teleparte, all of them.
- 31:42Speaker 8: So you're saying that to say you're saying that to
- 31:46Speaker 8: say he knew what was coming up next.
- 31:48Speaker 4: He could read the teleprop know that.
- 31:50Speaker 1: But they had writers for that roast. H yeah, there
- 31:55Speaker 1: were writers for that roast. And see that guy he
- 32:00Speaker 1: talking about, he not gonna apologize. See here's the problem
- 32:03Speaker 1: with that, saying what you're not gonna do. If you
- 32:08Speaker 1: tell a joke that offends a culture and you don't
- 32:13Speaker 1: know how it offends the culture, but it offends them,
- 32:16Speaker 1: you ought to be smart enough to say, hey, look,
- 32:18Speaker 1: I didn't know it was.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Going to be taking that way.
- 32:20Speaker 1: I want to apologize to George Floyd's family and so
- 32:23Speaker 1: on and so forth. That's how you handle that. The
- 32:26Speaker 1: best way but to stand on it. And so I
- 32:29Speaker 1: ain't apologizing nobody because that's what the roast was. So
- 32:32Speaker 1: in other words, to hell with your community and what
- 32:35Speaker 1: your community feel or the family or Stephen Jackson or
- 32:40Speaker 1: anybody else.
- 32:43Speaker 5: I want to ask you something up because you've been
- 32:45Speaker 5: doing this a long time. What is the protocol between
- 32:49Speaker 5: for a roast when it comes to comedians and the arts.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Well, first of all, there ain't no rules in a roast.
- 32:55Speaker 1: It's just that our roast is different from their roast.
- 33:00Speaker 1: See in the Tom Brady roast, he issued the statement, y'all,
- 33:05Speaker 1: don't come up. He there talking about nothing about Robert Kraft,
- 33:09Speaker 1: you know, the whole massage calling all of that that
- 33:12Speaker 1: was off limits.
- 33:14Speaker 6: And they said something. He stepped to him, Yeah.
- 33:16Speaker 2: And he shut it down.
- 33:18Speaker 1: And you notice not nobody said nothing about Kevin's personal life,
- 33:23Speaker 1: you know, to a free in his family or nothing
- 33:25Speaker 1: like that, except the joke Rock did about his dad. Yeah,
- 33:30Speaker 1: you know, but they stayed off the other stuff. So
- 33:33Speaker 1: you can, you can fix a roast now. But I've
- 33:38Speaker 1: I've only see I've only done one roast and it
- 33:40Speaker 1: was the Magic Johnson roast, and it was at the.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Kodak Theater.
- 33:47Speaker 1: And it wasn't that bad. Were just talking about Magic,
- 33:49Speaker 1: you know, he couldn't talk on his talk show, you know,
- 33:54Speaker 1: stuff like no no Monique.
- 34:00Speaker 2: God. It's justly funny roads are not for me.
- 34:04Speaker 1: I don't enjoy that, but I'm not. Look, man, Kevin,
- 34:09Speaker 1: you know, I wish him through this here, but he's
- 34:11Speaker 1: taken a lot of flak because he forgot the one
- 34:14Speaker 1: thing that we as black people are responsible for the
- 34:17Speaker 1: actions of one another. That's the only thing he forgot.
- 34:20Speaker 1: And once you filter that end too, the equation, we
- 34:23Speaker 1: are held to a different standard than anybody else. It's
- 34:27Speaker 1: our responsibility, all right.
- 34:30Speaker 8: Yeah, moving on at age eighty two, Patty LaBelle has
- 34:35Speaker 8: no interest in being modest. Okay, she's eighty two. She's
- 34:38Speaker 8: saying what she wants to say. In an interview with
- 34:40Speaker 8: CBS News, Miss Patty made it clear that the word
- 34:43Speaker 8: legend not only fits her, she's fully claiming it. Patty said, quote,
- 34:48Speaker 8: I love it. I should be called legend, legend, legend, legend. Yes,
- 34:52Speaker 8: I love it. I have earned it, all right. She
- 34:55Speaker 8: has eighteen studio albums, three live releases. You know, so, Yeah,
- 35:00Speaker 8: Patty Leabelle is a legend. And happy your birthday, belated,
- 35:04Speaker 8: Patty LaBelle.
- 35:05Speaker 4: Okaiot coming up in.
- 35:09Speaker 8: Twenty minutes after President Trump had a medical exam yesterday,
- 35:12Speaker 8: and he said what he always says, everything went perfectly.
- 35:16Speaker 1: I can promise you we didn't. We saw no ankle.
- 35:23Speaker 1: I seen your ankles.
- 35:24Speaker 9: Though you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 36:19Speaker 8: President Trump had a medical and dental examination yesterday at
- 36:23Speaker 8: Walter Reed Medical Center that lasted about three hours. After
- 36:29Speaker 8: the visit, Trump declared that his exam quote, we can
- 36:32Speaker 8: all say it together, went what perfectly.
- 36:36Speaker 4: He always said that amazing, no cavity right. He always
- 36:41Speaker 4: said that it was great blood pressure.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Good.
- 36:43Speaker 8: Now all that he's good, the healthiest human being on
- 36:47Speaker 8: the planet, and he said he was given a clean
- 36:50Speaker 8: bill of health. The visit comes as Trump approaches his
- 36:53Speaker 8: eightieth birthday on June fourteenth, making him the oldest person
- 36:58Speaker 8: to hold the presidency. Trump has been questioned about his
- 37:01Speaker 8: health a lot recently, and to those inquiries, the White
- 37:04Speaker 8: House previously disclosed that President Trump suffers from an age
- 37:07Speaker 8: related condition that causes mild swelling. We've all seen it
- 37:11Speaker 8: in his lower legs, right around about his ankles.
- 37:14Speaker 4: We've seen the swollen ankle. I don't have it, all right,
- 37:19Speaker 4: what do you mean.
- 37:20Speaker 1: What do you say I'm getting old? I don't have it.
- 37:23Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, gotcha.
- 37:24Speaker 8: Oh what about those dark bruises on his hands.
- 37:30Speaker 4: Have you seen those bruises on his hands?
- 37:32Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 37:33Speaker 8: Now, the White House is saying that's caused from frequent handshaking.
- 37:42Speaker 8: That's what they're saying. Okay, I'm just telling you, that's
- 37:45Speaker 8: what they're saying, all right. And you know, sometimes when
- 37:48Speaker 8: he looks like he's real drowsy in public, sometimes it
- 37:51Speaker 8: looks like he's falling asleep or whatever. Well, the White
- 37:54Speaker 8: House is insisting that those are merely like Trump takeing
- 38:00Speaker 8: long blinks you know when when he's bored, you know,
- 38:07Speaker 8: during uninteresting presentations and stuff. So the bottom line is
- 38:12Speaker 8: the White House has excuses for everything, okay everything. The
- 38:16Speaker 8: bruises on his hands, frequent hand shakes, the mild swelling
- 38:21Speaker 8: in his lower legs, that's just an age related condition.
- 38:25Speaker 8: And the long blinks. You know he's bored, you know,
- 38:29Speaker 8: when stuff is uninteresting interesting to him. It looks like
- 38:33Speaker 8: it's just long blinking. He's not asleep, though, so does
- 38:38Speaker 8: he look healthy to you? See what you think, Junior.
- 38:42Speaker 5: No, I've said I've had the long blinks before. I
- 38:45Speaker 5: know that's a real condition. I've had that. Pastor will
- 38:48Speaker 5: costs for preaching, and we all blink that long.
- 38:50Speaker 6: See, we all had it.
- 38:53Speaker 10: Stevie, don't you shake a lot of hands and family
- 38:56Speaker 10: few when you meet the family man.
- 38:58Speaker 2: I shake way more hands than he did.
- 39:01Speaker 4: Let's see your hands because I'm bruises.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Yeah, see the battie hands.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Don't sit in the screen.
- 39:13Speaker 4: Perfect health, all right?

- 44:13Speaker 8: according to Baller Alerts.
- 44:14Speaker 4: You wait, do the right thing. Okay, I'm just saying

- 44:38Speaker 8: out what that's all about, okay, but first let's get
- 44:43Speaker 8: into today's prank phone call with nephew toall me.
- 44:45Speaker 4: What you got for?
- 44:46Speaker 1: Is neph y'all ready?
- 44:49Speaker 2: We think?
- 44:49Speaker 7: So?
- 44:50Speaker 4: What you got ready for?
- 44:51Speaker 7: Ignorance? Ready for all types of stupidity? Are you all ready?
- 44:56Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 44:56Speaker 4: We're gonna get it whether we're ready or not, So
- 44:58Speaker 4: go ahead. Hey, oh we are.
- 45:01Speaker 1: It's just the truth.
- 45:02Speaker 7: Hey, okay, there's people like this stupidity in there. Come on,
- 45:07Speaker 7: all right, here it is. We're gonna go down to
- 45:09Speaker 7: the church and we're gonna repoll the pews.
- 45:14Speaker 1: You know, yes we are. It's a it's an outstanding ballance.
- 45:19Speaker 7: Hey hey hey, hey, hey, hey hey, they're gonna be
- 45:23Speaker 7: standing up Sunday. Then we finn come in here and
- 45:25Speaker 7: getting pew. All right, let's go get We're finna go
- 45:29Speaker 7: down here and repot these pew. We gotta get all
- 45:30Speaker 7: these at this church now they ain't paid the bill
- 45:33Speaker 7: on them. I'm sorry, let's go.
- 45:36Speaker 3: I'm trying to reach a pastor, Pastor Wilkins.
- 45:40Speaker 14: Yeah, this is reverend doctor Wilkins.
- 45:42Speaker 3: You're the you're the pastor of Baptis Church, Am I right?
- 45:46Speaker 14: Master's Church? That's correct? How can I help?
- 45:48Speaker 3: Okay? My name is Daniel, and I'm calling from a
- 45:53Speaker 3: R c S which is a church supply, and we
- 45:56Speaker 3: have an outstanding bill here that we wanted to bring
- 45:59Speaker 3: to you all the tension for like twenty three thousand
- 46:02Speaker 3: dollars for your pews that has not been paid, so
- 46:05Speaker 3: we wanted to see.
- 46:08Speaker 14: Not to cut you off.
- 46:10Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, Daniel RCS. Yeah, church supply sir. That's this
- 46:15Speaker 3: is exactly what you guys got your pews.
- 46:18Speaker 14: Okay, our standing bill for twenty three thousand. Well, first
- 46:22Speaker 14: of all, that's normally all our standing bills are handled
- 46:26Speaker 14: by our finance department. You know, you wouldn't to speak
- 46:29Speaker 14: to our treasurer and they would be able to help
- 46:31Speaker 14: you with.
- 46:31Speaker 3: That evidently sure that this hasn't been taken care of
- 46:35Speaker 3: in this matter when it comes to these pews, because
- 46:37Speaker 3: like I stayed it before, you guys owed twenty three
- 46:39Speaker 3: thousand dollars on these pews, and I think this was
- 46:42Speaker 3: probably twelve to thirteen years ago, so maybe this was
- 46:44Speaker 3: something before you got there. But nevertheless, there's still an
- 46:48Speaker 3: outstanding billing right now. We're actually going to be repossessing
- 46:52Speaker 3: these pews as of early seven o'clock Sunday morning, not.
- 46:57Speaker 14: Far this Sunday morning. Now we have the Women's Day
- 47:01Speaker 14: missionary is here today and also Sunday we have like
- 47:05Speaker 14: our pick.
- 47:08Speaker 3: You have a lot of things and you actually run
- 47:10Speaker 3: it off your schedule. To me, that's that's really not
- 47:12Speaker 3: my concern. And maybe your Women's Day or whatever is
- 47:15Speaker 3: gonna get y'all gonna do a standing up because right
- 47:17Speaker 3: now we're not going to do it.
- 47:19Speaker 14: You're not understanding me. See did you say twelve or
- 47:22Speaker 14: thirteen years ago?
- 47:23Speaker 3: Sure?
- 47:24Speaker 14: Well, I've been the past here for ten years and
- 47:26Speaker 14: you know, you know, like that.
- 47:29Speaker 3: Occurred before you got there. But nevertheless, the bill is
- 47:33Speaker 3: still outstanding and these cues need to be taken care of.
- 47:36Speaker 3: Now if y'all don't have the twenty three thousand dollars,
- 47:39Speaker 3: then I got to come pick these cues up Sunday morning. Sir,
- 47:42Speaker 3: we got well.
- 47:43Speaker 11: I don't go over there.
- 47:44Speaker 14: You're not hearing me. And first of all, this is
- 47:46Speaker 14: my private number. How did you get this number?
- 47:48Speaker 3: Your your numbers here in the books as a contact?
- 47:51Speaker 14: No, this is this is I only get us out
- 47:53Speaker 14: to very few people, and I know none of them
- 47:55Speaker 14: will will give our numbers. So that's that's an issue
- 47:58Speaker 14: right there. And second of all, if you're talking about
- 48:00Speaker 14: coming in our church Sunday morning to take our pews,
- 48:04Speaker 14: that's not something you really want to do, Sir.
- 48:06Speaker 3: I have to do my job the same way you
- 48:08Speaker 3: get up on Sunday morning and you have to do yours.
- 48:11Speaker 3: I have to do mine. So my job is to
- 48:13Speaker 3: get these fews back, because you guys are twenty three
- 48:16Speaker 3: thousand dollars in the ribs.
- 48:17Speaker 14: No cayling and tell you I ain't always been being
- 48:20Speaker 14: a preacher. Now you come to my church and you
- 48:23Speaker 14: test them pews, I'm gonna come out that proof fit.
- 48:27Speaker 3: I'm not here to go to what you used to
- 48:30Speaker 3: be and what you are now. I'm nothing to go
- 48:32Speaker 3: back and forth with you on that the bottom line.
- 48:35Speaker 14: Consequence, and you don't want to deal with Fige because
- 48:37Speaker 14: you know I, oh, hold on, hold on, hold on,
- 48:40Speaker 14: let me, let me calm down, because you know you
- 48:42Speaker 14: have to make me say some words that I've been
- 48:44Speaker 14: delivered from. Thank God, I'm going.
- 48:47Speaker 3: To deliver them pews away from you on Sunday. Now.
- 48:50Speaker 3: I got to come and pick them pews up. That's
- 48:52Speaker 3: the bottom line. Do you have twenty three thousand Sunday morning?
- 48:56Speaker 14: Twenty three thousands? Understand that's not the issue. The issue
- 48:59Speaker 14: is you have no business calling me on my personal phone.
- 49:02Speaker 14: I'm in my METI cration time right now, trying to
- 49:05Speaker 14: get consecrated for you know, my Mexic that after deliver
- 49:08Speaker 14: later this afternoon, so we need all of our funers.
- 49:11Speaker 3: Okay, well, let me ask you something, sir. Do you
- 49:13Speaker 3: have the twenty three thousand dollars that you can give
- 49:16Speaker 3: me Sunday morning and then you can continue whatever it
- 49:18Speaker 3: is you have going on that day Other than that,
- 49:21Speaker 3: I'm gonna have to take them culles.
- 49:23Speaker 14: I got to call me, betweenty dollars. If you're not listening,
- 49:26Speaker 14: sign that ain't my bill. I ain't paying it. You
- 49:29Speaker 14: ain't touching my cues.
- 49:32Speaker 3: I'm not gonna continue to go. Okay, listen, I'm trying
- 49:35Speaker 3: to respect what's fast will trying to respect you.
- 49:38Speaker 14: First remend, doctor Wilkins. I'd appreciate it if you call
- 49:42Speaker 14: me in my name, Reverend doctor Wilkins.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Okay, Reverend doctor Wilkins. Now, first of all, I'm combing
- 49:49Speaker 3: up there Sunday. Now, I'm hoping I only have to
- 49:52Speaker 3: lay hands on these cues. Now I gotta lay hands
- 49:55Speaker 3: on something else that I got to do what I
- 49:56Speaker 3: got to feel.
- 49:58Speaker 14: You can come on up here. You said it on
- 50:00Speaker 14: the property. That's cool, but you touch them pills. I
- 50:03Speaker 14: got some lawyers in here. They can take that Jesus
- 50:05Speaker 14: coade off. They can stay down. They can get with you, partner.
- 50:08Speaker 14: You know what I'm saying.
- 50:09Speaker 11: You know what they they do.
- 50:12Speaker 14: I walk through the valley shadow of Death. I will
- 50:14Speaker 14: see no evil. I ain't got no problem work.
- 50:17Speaker 3: Wait wait wait wait, wait, wait wait.
- 50:19Speaker 14: Wait wait, you talking about coming to me and to
- 50:21Speaker 14: my church because my cluse.
- 50:23Speaker 3: I'm gonna do what I got to do. Man, Then y'all,
- 50:26Speaker 3: I'm gonna do what.
- 50:27Speaker 14: I gotta do in the name of Jenius A many
- 50:29Speaker 14: many up, stand up the whole service.
- 50:33Speaker 11: Now, what which one do you want?
- 50:35Speaker 14: You want to have it?
- 50:37Speaker 3: I got I got something else. I want to tell you.
- 50:39Speaker 3: You listen to me, past listening?
- 50:40Speaker 14: If you ain't saying nothing sign.
- 50:42Speaker 3: Is you listening what you say to me? I've got
- 50:45Speaker 3: to say this to you. His nephew Tommy from the

- 51:25Speaker 3: Um anyway, man, so well, I'm glad I was able
- 51:28Speaker 3: to put a lamp on your face today.
- 51:29Speaker 14: Oh man, I'm hot.

- 54:49Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is Strawberry.
- 54:51Speaker 8: Let us all right, nephew, thank you. Subject he's growing
- 54:55Speaker 8: on me. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a fifty eight year
- 54:59Speaker 8: old single woman and never married, and I don't have
- 55:02Speaker 8: any children. I've been engaged twice, but I don't believe
- 55:06Speaker 8: in collecting red flags, so I luckily got out of
- 55:09Speaker 8: the relationships in time. Because right now, one of the
- 55:14Speaker 8: guys is on his third marriage and the other one
- 55:17Speaker 8: is married and he and his wife are swingers after them.
- 55:22Speaker 8: I am very intentional about who I date, and I
- 55:25Speaker 8: am brutally honest with my partners. This new guy that
- 55:28Speaker 8: I met on a blind date is handsome and we
- 55:31Speaker 8: have great conversation, but he lives in a one bedroom
- 55:34Speaker 8: apartment with a big, shaggy dog. At my age, they
- 55:38Speaker 8: say that I should lower my standards, but this man
- 55:41Speaker 8: had me worried when I met him. Our mutual friend
- 55:45Speaker 8: hooked us up, and she checks in with me from
- 55:48Speaker 8: time to time to see how things are going.
- 55:50Speaker 4: About a week ago, we were chatting and I told
- 55:52Speaker 4: her that the man was growing on me.
- 55:55Speaker 8: Days later, the man's attitude changed and I noticed a
- 55:59Speaker 8: shift in his personality. I eventually confronted him about how
- 56:03Speaker 8: he was acting, and he said he was offended that
- 56:06Speaker 8: I said he's growing on me.
- 56:08Speaker 4: I don't think what I said was bad at all.
- 56:10Speaker 8: And I see it to our and I said it
- 56:13Speaker 8: to our mutual and I said it to our mutual
- 56:15Speaker 8: friend to keep her out of our business. Well, he
- 56:18Speaker 8: didn't like it one bit, and he said he was
- 56:20Speaker 8: going to give me time to think about what I said.
- 56:23Speaker 8: I defended what I said, and he hung up on me.
- 56:26Speaker 8: It's been a few days and I miss him so much.
- 56:30Speaker 8: I want him to come to his senses and come
- 56:32Speaker 8: back to me. But what if he doesn't. Is this
- 56:34Speaker 8: maybe God's way of telling me he's not the one
- 56:37Speaker 8: for me. Girl, Send that man a thank you note
- 56:41Speaker 8: and just keep it moving. I don't think he's the one.
- 56:44Speaker 8: You said you don't collect red flags, and this is
- 56:47Speaker 8: a colossal red flag with this guy.
- 56:50Speaker 4: You felt it when you first met him.
- 56:51Speaker 8: You didn't like the fact that he lives in a
- 56:53Speaker 8: one bedroom apartment with a big, shaggy dog, but you
- 56:56Speaker 8: were able to let that go and still date him.
- 56:59Speaker 8: He got me when you told your friend that he
- 57:01Speaker 8: was growing on you, which was an honest response from you,
- 57:04Speaker 8: and the way you said to keep your friend out
- 57:07Speaker 8: of your business.
- 57:09Speaker 1: He didn't like that.
- 57:10Speaker 8: He didn't like you said it at all, that she
- 57:12Speaker 8: said it at all, but instead of talking to you
- 57:14Speaker 8: about it, coming to you about it, he got offended.
- 57:18Speaker 4: Now he's just being rude. He hung up on you.
- 57:21Speaker 8: He goes to you red flag, red flag, red flag.
- 57:26Speaker 8: Remember you said you don't believe in collecting red flags,
- 57:29Speaker 8: and I say, don't do this. He will act the
- 57:32Speaker 8: same way if you guys get married, because this is
- 57:35Speaker 8: who he is.
- 57:37Speaker 1: Steve Well, Shirley, I see a couple of things in
- 57:40Speaker 1: this letter to this lady's kind of a bit of contradictory.
- 57:43Speaker 1: She's leaving out some stuff and I found it okay,
- 57:47Speaker 1: I found it very quick agree with that. I'm a
- 57:49Speaker 1: fifty eight year old single woman, never married, and I
- 57:52Speaker 1: don't have any children. I've been engaged twice, but I
- 57:55Speaker 1: don't believe in collecting red flags. You don't believe in
- 57:58Speaker 1: collecting relationships either, because fifty eight, never been married, no kids.
- 58:04Speaker 1: All right, cool, Then that's what you do, you know,
- 58:08Speaker 1: that's what that's what you you're really good at being single,
- 58:11Speaker 1: and it's probably why you're still single because that's what
- 58:14Speaker 1: you're good at. I got out of the relationships in
- 58:17Speaker 1: time because right now, one of the guys is on
- 58:19Speaker 1: his third marriage. Well that don't mean it wouldn't have
- 58:21Speaker 1: worked with you. If he was, he could have still
- 58:24Speaker 1: married you if you were the right one, you know.
- 58:27Speaker 1: And the other one is married and he and his
- 58:29Speaker 1: wife is swingers. Well you know, you know what, you
- 58:36Speaker 1: didn't want to sign up for that, But he ain't
- 58:38Speaker 1: asked you to be no swinger. You just whatever, y'all
- 58:40Speaker 1: broke up. Now he when done something else?
- 58:43Speaker 2: What they got to do with you though?
- 58:46Speaker 8: You know?
- 58:48Speaker 1: After them, I'm very intentional about who I date, and
- 58:50Speaker 1: I'm brutally honest.
- 58:52Speaker 2: With my partners.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Here we go brutally honest that's why you ain't got nobody. Now,
- 58:57Speaker 1: I done told y'all about this honesty. You have got
- 59:00Speaker 1: to lie if you want to have a relationship. Here's
- 59:03Speaker 1: a perfect example for it right here. If you don't
- 59:07Speaker 1: learn to lie technically in particular moments, you cannot maintain
- 59:16Speaker 1: a relationship. You just can't. And here it is proof.
- 59:21Speaker 1: And guess what she says. I'm very intentional about who
- 59:24Speaker 1: I date, and I'm brutally honest with my partner. See
- 59:27Speaker 1: all that right there, And now I guess what. She
- 59:29Speaker 1: ain't got no partner as she fifty eight and ain't
- 59:32Speaker 1: got no kids. You know why because she don't lie.
- 59:37Speaker 1: She is brutally honest. And that's what you get. Nine
- 59:41Speaker 1: and the nine nags? Are you for real?
- 59:43Speaker 4: Right now?
- 59:44Speaker 1: I told you I told her all this truth. Y'all
- 59:47Speaker 1: running your mouthphone. The new guy that I met on
- 59:51Speaker 1: a blind date is handsome and we have great conversation.
- 59:53Speaker 1: But he lives in a one bedroom apartment with a
- 59:56Speaker 1: big shaggy dog. Now I can tell you one thing
- 59:58Speaker 1: for the show. His house stink that big shaggy dog.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Them shaggy dogs, you can't wash them good. They carrying
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: dogs are not the best smelling creatures on earth anyway.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: So his house stinks.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: At my age, they say I should lower my standards,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: but this man had me worried when I met him.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Our mutual friend hooked us up, as she checks in
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: with me from time to time. See time going about
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: a week ago we was chatting. I told her the
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: man was growing on me. A few days later, the
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: man's attitude change. I noticed a shift in his personality,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: so I confronted him about he was acting, and he
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: said he was offended that I said he was growing
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: on me. When we come back, we're gonna dig into
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: that statement. Why is he growing on me? Offended this man?
- 1:00:57Speaker 8: Okay, all right, all right, we'll have part two of
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: your responds coming up. Steve at twenty three minutes after
- 1:01:04Speaker 8: the hour, Today's Strawberry Letters subject is.
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: We're going to talk about it when we come back.
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: He's growing on me.
- 1:01:12Speaker 8: He's growing one, he's growing little meal.
- 1:01:16Speaker 9: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:01:20Speaker 9: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:01:27Speaker 10: An education is a transformation every day. The Marshall College

- 1:02:09Speaker 10: Apply, donate, or partner with us today at TMCF dot org.
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:02:17Speaker 8: The subject is He's growing on me.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: See this lady right here who wants to blame everybody
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: but herself. Is something wrong with her? She's fifty eight
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: years old, single woman, never been married and don't have
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: any kids, and I've been engaged twice. But I don't
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: believe in collecting red flags. I told you all that
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: earlier to break she don't believe in collecting relationships either,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: because this woman is really good at being single and
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: maybe that's just her lot in life. She's gonna be
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: single because she's good at that. I got so, but
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: I luckily I got out the relationships because right now
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: one of them guys on his third marriage, and the
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: other guy he married in him and his wife and
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: swing us.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: What that got to do with you? Nothing?
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: And I'm very intentional after that about who I date,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: and I am brutally honest.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: With my partners.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: This is why she ain't got nobody right now, because
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: she is brutally honest with her partners.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: I done told you all about this being honest all
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: the time.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: I tell you, if you.
- 1:03:21Speaker 13: Don't learn how to specifically lie, wow, it's gotta be
- 1:03:27Speaker 13: in specific places now, and it's got to have specific purpose.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: You've got to know when to lie.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: But I'm gonna give you a chance because I'm gonna
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: show you what happened when you brutally honest. First year,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: the new guy I met on a blind, davy handsomer.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: We had a great conversation, but he lives in the
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: one bedroom apartment with a big shaggy doll. Now keep
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: in mind big shaggy dog. All right. At my age,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: they say I should lower my stand up. But this
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: man had me worried when I'm met him. I mut
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: your friend hooked us up, checked on me, see how
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: things was going. About a week ago, we was chatting
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: and I told him, I told her to keep us
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: out our business, that the man was growing on me. Well,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: days later, the man's attitude change. Here were going to
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: watch this right here. I noticed the shift in his personality.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: I eventually confronted him. Here we go confronted. She's confrontational
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: and she's brutally honest. And watched this right here, and
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I noticed the shifting. I eventually confronted him about how
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: he was acting, and he said he was offended that
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: I said he was growing on me. I don't think
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I said that bad was all that bad? Well it
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: probably was, why because see you didn't just tell me.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: You didn't just well what you mean by you ain't
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: growing on me? Well, you know, at first I didn't
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: like you, you know, because you had this little tiny
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: one bell he would go with this brutal honesty. I
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: didn't like you at first because he before I first
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: met you had this little, tiny little apartment and that
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: big dog rocking around in your house. Stink. She said that, Yeah,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: I'm brutally honest, and you know, and your house was
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: stinking at all this here and every now and then
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: when we go out, some of your clothes. Your dog
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: must sleep in the closet over the body, claws at
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: the sumthing cause you smell like a wet dog sometime
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: when we go out.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: And I'm just being brutally honest.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: So then I said, well, it's growing on me, because
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: now you know, I done got used to the dog
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: and then got the used to you and your house
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: and hide smell. And you know, you walking out smelling
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: like your house. That's why we always walk around the
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: block for we go in the restaurant, so you can
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: add out a little bit.
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: She told him that I'm brutally honest.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: I'm brutally honest, which is why you fifty eight years
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: old and it ain't got nobody.
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: Yeah, they're not gonna make it, yeah, because.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: She brutally honest.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: And so then our mutual friend then he come to
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: he got an attitude, and I eventually confronted him, and
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: then he said he was offended that I said he
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: was growing on me. I don't think that was that
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: bad at all. I said to our mutual friend, keep
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: it well. He didn't like it. One bit, and he
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: said he was gonna give me some time to think
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: about what I said. Why I got to think about
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: what I said. I was just being brutally honest. Now,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Sureley asked me a question that you think the man
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: would want to know, and I'll show.
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: You how she was being honest that the man would
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: want to know.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: Yeah, the man want to know.
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: Oh okay, So what is it about my one bedroom apartment?
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: I thought it was nice. You like my furniture.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: It's just tiny, baby, it's tiny. I didn't know it
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: was apartment. That's not a tiny house.
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: Well what about my car?
- 1:06:48Speaker 13: My car?
- 1:06:48Speaker 9: Is?
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: I have a nice car?
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: You like my car?
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: I mean it's a little old, but.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: It's very old in it? You could the dog been
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: in it.
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: Well, I gotta take the dog out to the park
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: and stuff.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Yeah, but y'all let that dog walk, because then it's
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: enough that your house smelled like a dog and your
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: clothes is smelling like a dog. Now I got in
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: here with this dress. Now, that's why we go walk
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: around the block before we go and eat restaurants. So
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: we can't all be in that smelling like this big
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: shaggy dog.
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: Well, how about we spend a romantic evening at my
- 1:07:19Speaker 8: you know, my apartment.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Waymouth. Wait now, it's we're not gonna be able to
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: get romantic now, not in here with all this going on,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: the dog walking around, ball and this sitting where I
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: want to sit.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: For I tried it one time, then a dog he
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: all out at the door.
- 1:07:43Speaker 8: See I don't like all that. Yeah, I was hoping
- 1:07:45Speaker 8: you would sleepover, you know, and we wake up the
- 1:07:48Speaker 8: next morning.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: That's why I get up because I can't stay in that,
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: you know, I got.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: You're thinking about getting another dog? Yeah, and I was
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: gonna call the shelter.

- 1:09:20Speaker 5: The Knicks are already in the finals and they're waiting
- 1:09:22Speaker 5: on their other opponent. And last night Oklahoma City beat
- 1:09:26Speaker 5: the San Antonio Spurs one twenty seven to one fourteen
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: as they take a three to two lead.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: What's the difference in the way they're playing now, Junior.
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: There's a lot of threes. It ain't a it's not
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: a mid game. Ain't no low game no more. Ain't
- 1:09:39Speaker 6: nobody in the low post, no more posting up.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Dang big guy from San Antonio. He in the paints.
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: Real victim willman Yaller can shoot from half court. This
- 1:09:50Speaker 5: is true, he's seventy five.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: Because they read all the other rafters. They lose it.
- 1:10:00Speaker 5: But you know, you remember the game when it was different,
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: when everybody was down there banging and just you know,
- 1:10:07Speaker 5: playing hard in the low post.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: There's no more low post players, no more well.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: Look, it's some it's some great basketball players in the
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: league today.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: It really is some superstar cats man, Uh, some of
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: them because the game has changed. There's no more hand checking.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: The three point line is alive and well, uh, they
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: files become flagrant so easily. There's no low post players
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: because everybody wants some makeup. Three used to watch the
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: teams on a fast break. They all run and spread
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: the court to the three point line. I've seen dudes
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: take it all the way to the rack, be wide open.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: I'm thinking dunk layup. They kick it on back out
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: to a dude that miss it. That's it's hard to watch.
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: Who was it.
- 1:10:54Speaker 5: Who was one of your favorite low post low post
- 1:10:56Speaker 5: players you like to watch play the game?
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: Who is Adrian Danley, Moved Malone, Kareem Jabbar, Shack Diesel
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: are keen to dream olige you on? You know it's
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: people that you could throw the ball in there and
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: watch the show. Jack, Kevin McHale, Parish, Rick mahon alone,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: cal Malone. He was rough male man, Charles over boy
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: okay clean with to John, Hey we call.
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: You should see my real Housewives of Atlanta.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: That's all of them scared of him.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: All of them scared really, all.
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: Of them is scaredy and he cares less.
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: Hated. Told a couple of shut up and they got
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: straight quiet.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: He will slap you.
- 1:11:59Speaker 4: An thank you.
- 1:12:02Speaker 8: Coming up at the top of the hour, a wife
- 1:12:04Speaker 8: is being tracked by her husband and she wants to
- 1:12:07Speaker 8: know why. We'll get into it right after this. You're
- 1:12:10Speaker 8: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is from
- 1:12:16Speaker 8: Valencia and Fayetteville. Valencia says, I'm in a run club
- 1:12:20Speaker 8: and we meet up at five thirty a m.
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: Three days a week.
- 1:12:24Speaker 8: Yesterday I found out that my husband has a tracker
- 1:12:27Speaker 8: on my phone and one on my car. He has
- 1:12:30Speaker 8: never questioned me about the run club or the time
- 1:12:32Speaker 8: of morning, or asked who's all in my run club
- 1:12:35Speaker 8: or nothing else. When I told him I know about
- 1:12:38Speaker 8: the trackers, he said he did it for my protection.
- 1:12:41Speaker 8: I think he's lying, because why didn't he just tell
- 1:12:44Speaker 8: me that he's concerned about me. What's up with the
- 1:12:47Speaker 8: lies and mistrust?
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: Well, it's not a lie.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: It ain't no lie. He put a track on your car.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: If you ask me why, he said, it's for your protection.
- 1:12:57Speaker 8: She's mad because he didn't tell her he put the
- 1:12:59Speaker 8: track her on there, she said, So that's why he's man.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: Well, okay, okay, take it off.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: Yeah, just take it off. Go where you want to go.
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: Wait a minute, just tell her.
- 1:13:23Speaker 8: Yeah, why didn't he just say, hey, baby, I'm concerned,
- 1:13:26Speaker 8: so I'm gonna put a tracker on your car so
- 1:13:28Speaker 8: i'll know where you are.
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: Why didn't you just say that because that's the truth.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: Yeah? Why would he tell the truth?
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: Though, But that's nothing to lie about. What do you
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: have to lie about when you don't.
- 1:13:46Speaker 9: Have to.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: You'll miss where did he lie? Tell me where he lies?
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: She found out about it and said, did you put
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: a track on my car? He said, yeah, to protect you?
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Uh huh m hm, saying it was sneaky from the beginning. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:14:05Speaker 8: And did he do it to protect her or to
- 1:14:08Speaker 8: because he doesn't trust her to follow her?
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Well, listen to me, it's on that for your protection.
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: That's what he said.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: Now if you want to add in to do he
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: trusts me, go ahead, feel free.
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: Well that's what what she's asking. What's up with the
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: lies and the mistrust?
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: It ain't no lies, don't.
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: But that's what she thinks. Didn't tell a lie because.
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: I got to track a detective. But but we're not
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: going to talk about that.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: Go ahead, Oh we can't tell he didn't tell her
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: he put a tracker on the car, right, Yeah, that's
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: not a lie. Yeah, that's just you ain't told. And
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: the reason he didn't tell it because now look at
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: the conversation they had.
- 1:14:48Speaker 10: Exactly information that's not that's that's a sentible misonception.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: Yeah, isn't that part of it? Y like color?
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Don't you have three sixty five?
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: What is all that for life three sixty.
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: When you got that on everybody at your house?
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: No, but they know you told them right.
- 1:15:14Speaker 8: But you told them right, You told them right, Carla.
- 1:15:17Speaker 8: That's the point you told him right.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: That family got locators on each other's phone.
- 1:15:25Speaker 10: We have locators on the phone, and we have life
- 1:15:27Speaker 10: three sixties. So three sixty will say where you're going
- 1:15:30Speaker 10: at all times in the phone. You will look at
- 1:15:33Speaker 10: the app.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: Yeah, we need to have one eighty.
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: Like what.
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: Geometry.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: All you gotta do is call me. I'll tell you
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: where I am.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: But that's all about my man.
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: That tells the truth.
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know my wife and go look for
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: me at night.
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: I'm a home yeah exactly.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you know here, I ain't got look man,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: I learned and.
- 1:16:02Speaker 4: There done that. Yeah, boy, is my wife looking for me.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: I'm laying up in there with the remote and throw.
- 1:16:11Speaker 6: My husband on this couch.
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: Wow, you don't got to worry about me. I'm asleep
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: in one of these chairs.
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that's fun.
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: I like my life beautiful.
- 1:16:23Speaker 4: Uh huh.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: Chicken waves and TV.
- 1:16:29Speaker 8: Say lemon pepper or buffalo, and flats gotta be flats
- 1:16:37Speaker 8: have to be flat. Uh huh. All right, anything, No,
- 1:16:44Speaker 8: he just he doesn't no, no because no, because he
- 1:16:49Speaker 8: doesn't think he lied or anything.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: All right, Thanks you calling everybody. Hey, we'll be right

- 1:16:57Speaker 4: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:17:01Speaker 8: Here's a quick question from Reddit guys. A woman wrote, quote,
- 1:17:04Speaker 8: my fiance and I were spending time with an old,
- 1:17:07Speaker 8: close female friend of his. He noticed she was cold
- 1:17:11Speaker 8: and offered his jacket to her. She wore his jacket
- 1:17:14Speaker 8: for the rest of the evening. The woman wants to
- 1:17:17Speaker 8: know if she should be upset with her fiance for
- 1:17:20Speaker 8: being a gentleman.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: That's her question. Her fiance was just being a gentleman.
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: Should she be upset with him? He didn't want the word.
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: Well, let me ask you a question for the fiance
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: the lady, was you cold?
- 1:17:32Speaker 4: Well, she didn't say no, It was the fact problem.
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: She didn't say she was.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: Cold giving you that jacket? What my girl saying? Yeah?
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: But see, let me say this though, stop bringing your
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: ex girlfriends around your curry.
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: What she would have been freezing?
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: And female friend of his, that's your fault. You didn't
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: bring a jacket, that's your fault. It was a female friend.
- 1:17:58Speaker 4: Of his, of his her fiancee, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: See why is she over here?
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: Why is she didn't bring no shawls on? She ain't
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: got no man.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: Why y'all, why are you mixing women? Bruh, you can't.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: You can't shop women. No, no, no, no, Let me
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: tell you something. Your woman knows if anything was evil,

- 1:20:36Speaker 1: Loaded.
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: I can't stand that because there'll ever be what I
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: want on the chip.
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: Yeah, ste if you have a chef, they can make it.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: Ain't no meat on this chip. There ain't no fire
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: cream on this chip. Cheese fell off this chip. I'm
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: not constructing each time I want to bite.
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: I got to build it, all right.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: I just like that.
- 1:21:02Speaker 4: So many chips to be wet, and you're going with
- 1:21:05Speaker 4: you're going with a butter popcorn?
- 1:21:07Speaker 10: Then?
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: All right?
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:21:09Speaker 8: Would you rather be known for having a great body
- 1:21:12Speaker 8: or would you rather be known for having for being
- 1:21:14Speaker 8: a great leader?
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: Being a leader?

- 1:21:18Speaker 1: Give me.
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: You want the body?
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: No, I get that body. A lot of people are
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: following me.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: If I.
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: I don't want to be off see.
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: All right, buck bee, but looking little.
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: Wait what all right? Last one guys, we gotta get
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: Let's get this one in.
- 1:21:51Speaker 8: Think about this. Would you rather dinner with Trump and
- 1:21:54Speaker 8: Millenia be or coffee with your ex?
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: Yep?
- 1:22:02Speaker 7: Sitting up there with my ex b and maybe a
- 1:22:05Speaker 7: kiss with your ex. I'm not sitting up there with
- 1:22:07Speaker 7: fat ankles and them hands bruised up like that.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: And I ain't doing me no more. You ain't seen
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: me for the last time.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: You can believe that.
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: All right, that's today's roun.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: You can't get me, but one time, that's all yes.
- 1:22:24Speaker 8: Coming up next to our last break of the day,

- 1:23:36Speaker 4: Here we are, guys, our.
- 1:23:37Speaker 8: Last break of the day on this Wednesday. It's been
- 1:23:40Speaker 8: a great day. Thank you all for listening. Of course,
- 1:23:43Speaker 8: Steve take us home with someone.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: Well, you know what, man my clothes remarks. This is
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: going to be really good because it's something I've grown
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: to learn. Here is one of the things that I
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: finally learned. It took me a long time, but I
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: finally got it, and I wish I had learned this younger.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: So I'm sharing it to everybody that's younger than me,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: which is most people that listen to this show. I
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: have learned to not care what they say. I just
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: learned not to care man, because man I am telling you, man,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: it is amazing how people are, especially now with social
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: media and all this here and blogs and all this here.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: Man, do you know that I have been cool with
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: people that I have been loyal with them, set with them, man,
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: chopped it up with them, smoked cigars with them, all this,
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: and they heard something about me, and without coming to
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: me to get the truth. I started noticing little funny
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: ways about them. And you know what, I used to
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: try to pick and dig and figure out what it
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: was and sit them down and have conversations with people
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: like that. And every time I did that, somebody said, well,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: I ain't.
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: Know you was like this.
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: I said, like what, well, you know they say you
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: did this or that? Who said that?
- 1:25:13Speaker 3: You know?
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: You know they say, I said, brother, that ain't even true.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: But instead of you coming to me as a friend
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: or somebody that I'm associated with or cool with, you
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: just wanted to feel that way about me anyway, which
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: lets me know that you wasn't genuine in the first place.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: You was around me because it was comfortable and convenient
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: for you, and you thought if you stay that way,
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: eventually you'd be able to get something out of the relationship. Well, no,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: I got something out of it. I found out how
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: you was. And I used to chase people down to
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: straighten this out or or look for I stopped doing that.
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: I don't have no rebuttal for you. I have no
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: rebuttal for anybody about what you think or feel about
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: me and y'all. The sooner you can get that through
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: your head, you can get that through your skin, and
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: you'll breathe better. You know, your skin is your largest
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: organ on your body. It takes in more things than
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: your mouth takes in. It takes in pollution, toxes, air,
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: fresh air, takes in breathing, It takes in sunlight, vitamin
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: deal absorb minerals and toxins around you. It absorbs a
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: good things around you, floral sense, everything. So as soon
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: as you can get that out your head, you can
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: get a lot of that from under your skin. You
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: can't get under my skin no more. You know why,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: because I stop caring and trying to chase down and
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: prove myself to somebody. For those that love you, no
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: explanation necessary. For those that hate you, no explanation acceptable. Man,
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: I learned that I wish I had learned it a
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: long time ago. So if you are younger, put that
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: in your game book, your playbook, learn how to not
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: care what they say. And you know who you should
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: care about who says something. People who genuinely love you,
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: care about you, pray for you, pull for you, encourage you,
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: Then you should care about what they say. Everybody else, Hey, man,
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: if ain't nobody came to your rescue, if ain't nobody
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: stood with you in the storm, if ain't nobody got
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: back to back to you and swung no blows with you,
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: if ain't nobody climbed down in the hole you was
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: in and say, hey man, I don't care what's happening.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: I'm with you. If you ain't got that from them,
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: what do it matter what they think or say? Them
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: the only people that I care about, and that's only
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: a few people. And I'm gonna tell you right now
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: on the rail. Look, I know my children love me.
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: I'm clear on that. I know for a fact that
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: my brother and my sisters love me. My brother that's
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: living turk, climb down in the hole with me, My
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: sister Mona, pray for me. Marjorie Harvey is the one
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: person that saw me get myself in a situation and
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: climb down in the hole with me and stood right there,
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: right there. It ain't a lot of them people, man,
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: So everybody else, man can really go on about your
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: business and put that in your scope of things. If
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: a person is not pulling for you, cheering for you,
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: encouraging you, praying for you, what doesn't matter what they say,
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: and if you pay close attention to it. The people
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: that love you, care for you, pull for you, cheer
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: for you, encourage you, and pray for you. They're not
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: the ones talking about you. It's them other people, them
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: fair weather friends, you know, you know the coworkers you got, you,
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: the ones you thought you was cool with. You know
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: that sit around in the circle and talk about it,
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: everybody with you? You know them people. Everybody knows somebody
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: like that. Hey man, listen, learn how to get those
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: people out your head so then you don't allow them
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: under your skin. Man. I wish I knew this years ago.
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: I wish I understood it, man. And you know one
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: thing I'm gonna work on this year. In my clothes remarks,
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna work on being more. But you know I'm
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: not that way, you know, Like I admire people who
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: are well spoken and have the vocabulary and the dissertation.
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: I was gonna try to work and be there, but then,
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: you know what I said, Steve, just do you though,
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: Just be who you are. You ain't got to go
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: and be all that they are who they are, and
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: God made you clearly who you are, and I'm fine
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: with that. Y'all.
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: Have a great day today. Talk to God today. He
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: would absolutely love to hear from me.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: Don't call me.
