- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all all looking back to back down, giving
- 0:13Speaker 1: them just like theming bu things and it's not me
- 0:20Speaker 1: true good Steve Hart, to stay, don't join jo. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta use that turn arm. You gotta turn to turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: them out. Turn got to turn them out to turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: turn the water the water. Come, come on your back,
- 2:01Speaker 1: I shall will good minding. Everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on, deed me now, one and only Steve Harvey,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I got a radio show. Me just trying to give
- 2:13Speaker 1: God some back, just some back of what even gave me,
- 2:20Speaker 1: just a portion, you know. Just I'm just trying, man
- 2:23Speaker 1: to to show some type of gratitude for all his blessings.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I'm just trying to man, just just get it right sometimes,
- 2:35Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I mean, man, you just
- 2:37Speaker 1: can't do what you want to do and just live
- 2:39Speaker 1: wrong all the time. Man, you got it at one
- 2:41Speaker 1: point in time, Steve, come home. Man, come on, man,
- 2:45Speaker 1: you could do better. I know you can, you know saying,
- 2:48Speaker 1: and you know what I had to do. I had
- 2:50Speaker 1: to stop saying, I'm gonna try to do better. And
- 2:53Speaker 1: I just had to say, hey, man, I'm going to
- 2:55Speaker 1: do better. You know, trying it's just to put forth
- 2:59Speaker 1: an eff and then it don't work. Well okay, But
- 3:02Speaker 1: if you make up in your mind that I'm going
- 3:03Speaker 1: to do something, then trying isn't enough. It's getting it
- 3:07Speaker 1: done is the only thing that matters. Sin. It's the
- 3:10Speaker 1: difference between doing and trying. We're gonna try to win
- 3:13Speaker 1: the game or we're gonna go out here to win
- 3:15Speaker 1: the game. Now, trying to win the game means that
- 3:18Speaker 1: you could lose. But when you got in your mind
- 3:21Speaker 1: made up, most athletes will tell you that they go
- 3:24Speaker 1: out there with the full intent and purpose of winning
- 3:27Speaker 1: and winning. Only see they don't put the second place
- 3:31Speaker 1: finish on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Second place don't
- 3:34Speaker 1: get you there. You got to win. And now take
- 3:37Speaker 1: it out of the scope of athletics, but keep it
- 3:39Speaker 1: in that type of type of analogy in life. Man,
- 3:43Speaker 1: you just want to you want to win in life,
- 3:45Speaker 1: don't you. I mean, at the end of the day,
- 3:47Speaker 1: don't you want to be on the cover of Sports
- 3:49Speaker 1: Illustrated the life. Don't you want to be recognized for
- 3:52Speaker 1: your hard work? Don't you want you know, to be
- 3:55Speaker 1: recognized within the bonus structure down at your job. Don't
- 3:59Speaker 1: you want to have your plaque up on the wall
- 4:01Speaker 1: down at your job? I mean most people do. Some
- 4:03Speaker 1: people could care less. Some people don't care about looking
- 4:06Speaker 1: good or being their best. And that's cool. But I
- 4:08Speaker 1: ain't talking to them though. I'm talking to you. I'm
- 4:11Speaker 1: talking to those of you who want to be the
- 4:14Speaker 1: best you can be. You know, people kill me when
- 4:16Speaker 1: they're getting mad at people here and he Brown knows
- 4:20Speaker 1: and he hall up on an employee of the moth Man,
- 4:22Speaker 1: the dude doing his job to the best of his ability,
- 4:24Speaker 1: and he getting recognized for it. What they got to do?
- 4:27Speaker 1: It all that you're talking about because you ain't up there.
- 4:29Speaker 1: It's amazing, man, how people describe other people's success. He's
- 4:33Speaker 1: so lucky, lucky? Hey man, don't they kind of get
- 4:36Speaker 1: you a little bit when people call you lucky when
- 4:39Speaker 1: let me tell you what luck really is, y'all. Luck
- 4:41Speaker 1: is when hard work bumps up into opportunity. Some people
- 4:46Speaker 1: call that luck. But hold on, let's let's think about this.
- 4:49Speaker 1: If you wasn't working hard, an opportunity presented itself, what
- 4:53Speaker 1: would you call that? But see when you've been working hard,
- 4:57Speaker 1: an opportunity presents itself and it bumps up into each other.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Now people want to call that luck, But hold up here,
- 5:02Speaker 1: go to part though to day, ain't paying no attention
- 5:04Speaker 1: to Yeah, that opportunity came by. But if you had
- 5:07Speaker 1: not been working hard and the hard work had not
- 5:09Speaker 1: ran up in the opportunity, what would you have? No, sir,
- 5:12Speaker 1: it's not luck, it's work. It is work, because as
- 5:16Speaker 1: a scripture that says, faith without works is dead. But
- 5:21Speaker 1: my mama was a Sunday school teacher. She taught me enough.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Though Now I know different between right and wrong, just
- 5:26Speaker 1: like you do. You ain't gotta you know it kused
- 5:29Speaker 1: me when people write a strawberry letter? Am I wrong
- 5:31Speaker 1: for this? You know? Good? Well, look at let's read
- 5:33Speaker 1: your letter? Are you wrong for this? You know you're wrong?
- 5:36Speaker 1: What you don't need? That's to be telling, you know?
- 5:38Speaker 1: But I'm gonna do this anyway. Well, I see, go ahead, though,
- 5:41Speaker 1: do what you want to do. But you know what, y'all,
- 5:44Speaker 1: here's the best advice I can give you. And this
- 5:46Speaker 1: is what I really came to talk about this morning.
- 5:49Speaker 1: But I got sidetrack because I listened get out of
- 5:53Speaker 1: your own way. So many of us are blocking our home.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Blessings were just in our own way. We are in
- 6:01Speaker 1: our own way. And one of the most dangerous ways
- 6:05Speaker 1: you can get in your way is to do it
- 6:08Speaker 1: your way, to get it figured your way, and to
- 6:12Speaker 1: lock in on your way and just the way it's
- 6:14Speaker 1: got to go. Do you know how many people are
- 6:16Speaker 1: blocking a blessing? Do you know how long I blocked mine?
- 6:20Speaker 1: With that mindset right there? Look, because it's the way
- 6:24Speaker 1: you do it, Do you think that make it the
- 6:26Speaker 1: right way? You think jazz, because you'd have thought on
- 6:29Speaker 1: it long and hard, and that's what you really want.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Do you really think that your way is the right
- 6:33Speaker 1: way or could that be a better way? See? Until
- 6:36Speaker 1: I started listening to God and started paying attention to
- 6:39Speaker 1: his way, man, I was spending my wheels. Man, I
- 6:43Speaker 1: was out here so determined this is how I was
- 6:45Speaker 1: going to do it. But you know I had to
- 6:47Speaker 1: learn how to get out of my own way because
- 6:50Speaker 1: just because I could do it my way didn't mean
- 6:52Speaker 1: it was the right way. I had to get out
- 6:55Speaker 1: of my own way. Just get out your way, man,
- 7:00Speaker 1: And now what what does that mean? That means? See?
- 7:06Speaker 1: Set your goals. That means have your dreams. That I'm saying,
- 7:12Speaker 1: set your goals. Man, I ain't saying don't set goals.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Listen to me. Set your goals. What is it you
- 7:17Speaker 1: want to happen? What is it you like to have?
- 7:20Speaker 1: What is it you like to be? What are you
- 7:22Speaker 1: aspire to? Set your goals and set your dreams. Now
- 7:27Speaker 1: take your goals and your dreams to God and ask
- 7:31Speaker 1: God to show you how. Man, you can save yourself
- 7:36Speaker 1: a lot of pain. Listen to somebody who did it
- 7:40Speaker 1: his way for so long. And when I finally got
- 7:43Speaker 1: out of my way, out of my own way. When
- 7:46Speaker 1: you've heard old people say, let go and let God.
- 7:49Speaker 1: You heard them say that I didn't. I didn't get it,
- 7:52Speaker 1: but I got it. Now let go and let God.
- 7:56Speaker 1: And it's amazing little saying. Though now you know you
- 7:59Speaker 1: may not get it now. It took me a bunch
- 8:01Speaker 1: of years to get it too. But when I took
- 8:03Speaker 1: my goals and my dreams and my vision to God
- 8:07Speaker 1: and I said, God, this is what I hope for,
- 8:09Speaker 1: this is what I aspired to, this is what I
- 8:11Speaker 1: want to be, this is why I would love to
- 8:13Speaker 1: get to. Then I said, help me show me. How
- 8:18Speaker 1: point me in the right direction. Let me follow your footsteps,
- 8:22Speaker 1: guide me and give me a spirit of discernment. Show
- 8:25Speaker 1: me who wrong? Because I meet people every day. Ain't
- 8:28Speaker 1: up to no good with me every single day? Oh man, Man,
- 8:33Speaker 1: I can't believe I run up into you. Man, the
- 8:35Speaker 1: Lord told me something's gonna happen to me today. Well, see,
- 8:38Speaker 1: I talked to him every day. He did not mention
- 8:41Speaker 1: you to me. He ain't said nothing to me. He
- 8:44Speaker 1: didn't tell me what's gonna happen in mind. Now, I
- 8:45Speaker 1: don't mean it can't happen because I'm open to it.
- 8:49Speaker 1: So really, man, I'm and and please no, I'm listening
- 8:53Speaker 1: it as well as I've ever listened before. But but
- 8:56Speaker 1: get yourself together, though, see no, your goals and your dreams,
- 9:00Speaker 1: and then let God show you how to do it.
- 9:01Speaker 1: He'll do it. You know. It's so important everybody, that
- 9:05Speaker 1: you get focused, that you aim for something, that you
- 9:09Speaker 1: dream of something, that you aspire to something. But it's
- 9:12Speaker 1: the most the best thing you can do. After you
- 9:14Speaker 1: do all that, Man, get God involved in it. Man,
- 9:18Speaker 1: talk to him. I mean, why would you not what
- 9:20Speaker 1: you got to lose, You ain't got to go down
- 9:22Speaker 1: there and make no big scene and run laps around
- 9:25Speaker 1: the church and run up there and throw yourself on
- 9:27Speaker 1: the altar and scream and flip over and throw money
- 9:30Speaker 1: in the air. You ain't got to do that. This
- 9:31Speaker 1: you and God, man, This you and God. You know
- 9:34Speaker 1: you got to serve and praise him the way you
- 9:37Speaker 1: do it. You gotta let nobody else tell you high's done.
- 9:39Speaker 1: It's a personal relationship. People kill me if you don't
- 9:42Speaker 1: do it this way. If you don't come here to
- 9:44Speaker 1: this church and you don't run around in this circle
- 9:46Speaker 1: and you don't get flipped in and you don't Hey, man,
- 9:48Speaker 1: you better go have a relationship with God. See what
- 9:50Speaker 1: that's about. You understand? Nobody throw you off with all that?
- 9:53Speaker 1: All right, all right, y'all talk to him. He loved
- 9:55Speaker 1: to hear from you today. You're listening tow ladies and
- 10:02Speaker 1: gentlemen is here now. I don't know if you, but
- 10:05Speaker 1: that's an amazing gift that we've all been given it.
- 10:07Speaker 1: And I know you've been given it because you're listening
- 10:10Speaker 1: to my voice. So congratulations on receiving this unmerited, undeserved
- 10:16Speaker 1: and something just something you purely don't have the ability
- 10:19Speaker 1: to give yourself. God has given us a new day, man,
- 10:23Speaker 1: Let's do something with it. How about that, y'all? I
- 10:25Speaker 1: plague it. I like it like that He gave it
- 10:30Speaker 1: to us. We didn't even come on. Good morning, Steve,
- 10:34Speaker 1: Happy Friday, Happy spaces slash Junior Um. I'm in the
- 10:42Speaker 1: building another day, Jay the Brown. You know when I
- 10:47Speaker 1: got another day, it's a blessing. Thank you. Man upstairs,
- 10:51Speaker 1: Come on, nephew, Tommy, today's a new day. There saying
- 10:59Speaker 1: you got food game baby? Yeah, it's all good man,
- 11:06Speaker 1: it is I have here. Steve Harvey is entering his
- 11:11Speaker 1: Zaddy era. Oh Smooth Harvey inside Steve Harvey's fashion glow
- 11:19Speaker 1: up as he transformed from draft TV Dad what a
- 11:23Speaker 1: oversized suits to style icon? Yeah, man, Steve, people are
- 11:28Speaker 1: loving your posts. Man. You doing it man, Oversized suits
- 11:34Speaker 1: was the deal? Well you from that to this to this?
- 11:39Speaker 1: So that's how that's growth. That's what that is. That's growth.
- 11:43Speaker 1: It's it's you know, you know. But can I be
- 11:47Speaker 1: honest with It's nothing I set out to do. I
- 11:50Speaker 1: really have to give credit to two things, Marjorie and
- 11:55Speaker 1: Facebook Watch because Marjorie says, you don't do your daytime
- 12:02Speaker 1: talk show anymore. You should go on and dress how
- 12:05Speaker 1: you dress when we go out. And then I got
- 12:09Speaker 1: to stylist. His name is Ellie, and he's absolutely smart.
- 12:14Speaker 1: He actually shows me a lot of things because first
- 12:17Speaker 1: of all, I don't go to many stores now Paris.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I was going to stores real because you can, you
- 12:23Speaker 1: can walk around and all like that. But then but
- 12:27Speaker 1: then Facebook Watch said we don't care if you dress
- 12:33Speaker 1: like We don't care that you dressed like you dressed
- 12:37Speaker 1: on your syndicated talk show. We would prefer you do
- 12:42Speaker 1: your own thing. And then what happened was when Ellie
- 12:47Speaker 1: helped me get dressed for NFL Honors Celebrity Family Feud
- 12:52Speaker 1: saw that and said, man, we should let him dress
- 12:55Speaker 1: like that. Because I had to wear the same suit
- 12:58Speaker 1: on Celebrity Family you because of the way they cut it.
- 13:02Speaker 1: You never know what the celebrity you're gonna see next.
- 13:04Speaker 1: So I wore the same suit and then they came
- 13:06Speaker 1: to me and said, could you do something different? I said,
- 13:09Speaker 1: can I do something this watch? You did? You stepped
- 13:14Speaker 1: it up and then you cannot cannot go back to
- 13:18Speaker 1: the forty five buttons, loan jackets, wide pants. You can
- 13:21Speaker 1: now go back to you. No, you can't hurt me,
- 13:24Speaker 1: Jane hurt. We gotta make a transition coming up with
- 13:36Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the hour, asked the CLO. Chief
- 13:40Speaker 1: Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building. Right after this,
- 13:43Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Steve. It is
- 13:48Speaker 1: time now for ask the CLO. Choose it's asked Zaddy.
- 13:54Speaker 1: I didn't change you like that. I don't even I'm
- 14:01Speaker 1: not calling him, Yeah, I'm talking to shit, okay, Julia
- 14:10Speaker 1: Tommy said, sure. You know that's what they were calling
- 14:16Speaker 1: ron Eisley after the versus battle. You know that's why
- 14:19Speaker 1: I feel the fly, you know, Yeah? Yeah, all right,
- 14:24Speaker 1: So it is time now for ask Zaddy CLO. The
- 14:29Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer is Zaddy Harvey in the building? All right, Zaddy,
- 14:34Speaker 1: here we go. Even Canada says two months ago, I'm
- 14:38Speaker 1: at the most handsome man on a blind date. We
- 14:41Speaker 1: connected on so many levels, and we've been seeing each
- 14:44Speaker 1: other for two weeks. The only problem I have is
- 14:47Speaker 1: that he has hairy arms and a hairy chest. He's
- 14:50Speaker 1: got thick sideburns but no beard, so he looks older.
- 14:55Speaker 1: The hair creeps me out, so I want to ask
- 14:57Speaker 1: him if he has a regular grooming regiment. Is that appropriate? Well, yeah,
- 15:02Speaker 1: he has a regular grooming regiment. It just don't include
- 15:06Speaker 1: cutting his sideburns. And most men don't cut their arms. Sorry,
- 15:12Speaker 1: most men don't. The only man I know that shade
- 15:14Speaker 1: their arms are bodybuilders. I don't know men who shade
- 15:19Speaker 1: their arms. And so you know, if that's gross and
- 15:23Speaker 1: you ought to, you know, it was the best looking
- 15:25Speaker 1: man you ever saw two weeks ago. Now you want
- 15:27Speaker 1: something wrong with it, So you ain't got to ask
- 15:29Speaker 1: him it. Does he have a regular grooming regiment, because
- 15:32Speaker 1: he does, it just don't include cutting his sideburns and
- 15:35Speaker 1: his damn arms sideburns in I don't know if he'll
- 15:40Speaker 1: know who got you moan, I don't just sideburned, no
- 15:44Speaker 1: beard on my auntie there in. But that's a whole
- 15:47Speaker 1: different story. So it's not appropriate. I mean, I don't,
- 15:58Speaker 1: it's not. That's the wrong question to ask him. Man,
- 16:00Speaker 1: Just see every regular blooming routine. Because you're sitting there
- 16:03Speaker 1: looking at him like something wrong with him. Yeah, it's
- 16:05Speaker 1: not that he don't have one. He's probably very clear
- 16:08Speaker 1: you don't like sidebirds. And harry On was the most
- 16:13Speaker 1: wonderful man. A go hey got hair on his chest,
- 16:17Speaker 1: so all of that hair creeps are out. Okay, well
- 16:20Speaker 1: you know, get you somebody else wa get you anything?
- 16:28Speaker 1: Take it all right? Moving on, Drury and Michigan says,
- 16:33Speaker 1: I've been celibate for six years and I have a
- 16:35Speaker 1: new man that i'm dating, and he's been pressuring me
- 16:38Speaker 1: for sex a lot. Let me say that I'm fifty
- 16:41Speaker 1: seven and he's sixty nine and sex is not a
- 16:45Speaker 1: priority to me right now. I noticed he had a
- 16:47Speaker 1: prescription for a medication to help him in the bedroom,
- 16:50Speaker 1: and I confronted him. He told me that the pills
- 16:53Speaker 1: are not for me. I was very upset, and he
- 16:56Speaker 1: said he was just joking. Does this mean he's sneaking
- 16:59Speaker 1: around with someone behind my back? What? You ain't having
- 17:03Speaker 1: sex with the man six years? Why is you? Weared?
- 17:07Speaker 1: And he got a prescription? What did he get the prescription?
- 17:09Speaker 1: They ain't for you? What is you in the man's
- 17:12Speaker 1: medicine cabinet? Get out the man's business. She noticed it,
- 17:18Speaker 1: that's all she said. She didn't say, Okay, you noticed it. Now.
- 17:21Speaker 1: He told you they ain't for you. They're not. You
- 17:26Speaker 1: won't let him use them. Yeah, we're gonna use and
- 17:34Speaker 1: were gonna use. They too damn high to waste. Okay, okay,
- 17:38Speaker 1: so I heard cut it with a race the priority
- 17:43Speaker 1: for you, that's you know. Yeah, I don't know what
- 17:47Speaker 1: to tell you. Lady. Does that mean he's sneaking around?
- 17:51Speaker 1: He's sneaking he going somewhere else? All right? You heard
- 17:59Speaker 1: you're in the Russia? Aid work. I got these peels
- 18:03Speaker 1: in here and spent this money something. There's an expiration
- 18:08Speaker 1: date on this bottle peels of forty five dollars. What
- 18:14Speaker 1: you think you're doing, you can get You can get
- 18:17Speaker 1: foe out of that one, don't You can get foe
- 18:19Speaker 1: out of that one if you cut it right now,
- 18:23Speaker 1: This is what I heard. If you cut it right,
- 18:25Speaker 1: you can get foe out at one. You get more
- 18:27Speaker 1: out of that telling you lit them. All right, We're
- 18:33Speaker 1: moving on. Charlie and Toledo says. My wife's sister got
- 18:37Speaker 1: on my gets on my last nerves, and I'd love
- 18:40Speaker 1: to kick her out of the house, but I can't
- 18:42Speaker 1: out of our house. She criticizes every little thing I do,
- 18:46Speaker 1: and she makes fun of how I talk. I'm from
- 18:48Speaker 1: the South, and I have a Southern drawl, and she
- 18:51Speaker 1: called me a country bumpkin. The other day I called
- 18:54Speaker 1: her a female dog. I did not say the B word,
- 18:58Speaker 1: but my wife got all been out of shape and
- 19:00Speaker 1: said if I said that to her sister, I might
- 19:03Speaker 1: be I might start disrespecting her too. It's not like that, Steve.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Or it's not like that, Steve. How do I get
- 19:10Speaker 1: my wife to see that her sister is a troublemaker?
- 19:14Speaker 1: Is she living in the house? Yeah, they're all little. Yeah,
- 19:17Speaker 1: I mean he said he'd love to kick her out
- 19:20Speaker 1: of our house. Do it. See, I don't understand it.
- 19:27Speaker 1: You're not You're not. We're sitting up in the house,
- 19:29Speaker 1: I'm paying, making payments on and talking to me any
- 19:33Speaker 1: any kind of way except how I want it. I don't.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you. How disrespectful? Yeah,
- 19:39Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not allowing that. And then for your
- 19:43Speaker 1: wife to allow it? She out of line? Is that
- 19:47Speaker 1: his wife? Yeah? She took Yeah, his wife's sister, His
- 19:51Speaker 1: sister in law's causing all the commotion and problems, trouble.
- 19:55Speaker 1: You can't come in my house and start five you can't.
- 19:58Speaker 1: You got to go. You got to come so period.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I'm not this is our house. But this is exactly
- 20:07Speaker 1: right our house. And you ain't gonna have nothing in
- 20:11Speaker 1: the house you don't want. And I ain't gotta have
- 20:12Speaker 1: nothing in the house I don't want. But his wife
- 20:15Speaker 1: is taking her sister's side, Steve to see that his
- 20:21Speaker 1: sister's a trouble. You and your sister go stay together, Thatt,
- 20:26Speaker 1: your sister kay do what are you? And your sister
- 20:28Speaker 1: can get out. I bet your sister kay do what

- 20:39Speaker 1: All right? Thank you, Clo, A K A zaddy. Uh.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Coming up, it's run that prank back. Thank you, Cello.
- 20:46Speaker 1: We'll get to it right after this. You're listening to
- 20:51Speaker 1: show Coming up at the top of the hour, Miss
- 20:54Speaker 1: Anne will be here with national news and entertainment news.
- 20:57Speaker 1: NBA player Kyrie Irving has a message for anyone that
- 21:01Speaker 1: has something to say about him not getting his vaccination. Uh,
- 21:06Speaker 1: we'll talk about Babrid right now. It is time to
- 21:09Speaker 1: run that break back. What you got now? I got
- 21:14Speaker 1: chub Rock. That's what I got chub Rock, don't you? Yeah?
- 21:20Speaker 1: What are the greatest of all times? Chub Rock. Let's
- 21:23Speaker 1: go cat down, Sile What ain't gonna haming somebody fin
- 21:26Speaker 1: to use my instrumental Hello and then act like they're
- 21:29Speaker 1: gonna just use my Hello. Hello, man, I speak to Chubb. Hey,
- 21:34Speaker 1: I need to talk to you. Man. This d Low
- 21:36Speaker 1: from our Flow Jam Productions out of Jacksonville, Florida. My
- 21:40Speaker 1: name d Low from Flow Jam Productions out of Jacksonville, Florida.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Can you hear me? Brother? Brother, bring your blood pressure
- 21:48Speaker 1: down a couple of notches. Be a hold on, bro,
- 21:51Speaker 1: because me and you already got a problem. Now my
- 21:53Speaker 1: understanding of somebody using my instrumental on some kind of
- 21:58Speaker 1: records you got called if you was mine and all
- 22:02Speaker 1: of them, all that music is my music, and I
- 22:04Speaker 1: got a problem with all of that. Brother, calm your
- 22:07Speaker 1: blood pressure down. You know what I'm saying to you,
- 22:10Speaker 1: my brod pressure, Calm down. All I'm saying to you
- 22:12Speaker 1: Will I ain't nobody for the release, no CD, no album.
- 22:16Speaker 1: I'm using my music dout. It ain't fenn out. I
- 22:19Speaker 1: understand who you will and all the stuff you'dn't done
- 22:22Speaker 1: in the path, but you ain't gonna use my stuff though. Brother.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Let me tell something. Anything I ever got in my
- 22:27Speaker 1: life in twenty years of recording. I don't know how
- 22:30Speaker 1: you got my number. Who you are? You know who
- 22:33Speaker 1: you're supposed to be representing. But anything I do is
- 22:36Speaker 1: always straight up. We do our music ourselves, or if
- 22:39Speaker 1: a producer I'm using he does his thing, I pay
- 22:42Speaker 1: him or do whatever I gotta do. You're calling me,
- 22:44Speaker 1: I don't even know who you are, but you need
- 22:46Speaker 1: to calm down your blood pressure. If you want to
- 22:48Speaker 1: continue this conversation where we can get to some kind
- 22:51Speaker 1: of figuring out of who you are and what you're
- 22:53Speaker 1: talking about, you want to yell at me and try
- 22:55Speaker 1: to do that. I don't. I don't go for yelling
- 22:58Speaker 1: and intimidation. I ain't want of these young dudes out there.
- 23:00Speaker 1: So if you don't bring your blood pressure down, then
- 23:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna have a problem. My blood pressure will go
- 23:05Speaker 1: up and then we'll have a real, real problem. Do
- 23:09Speaker 1: you feel what I'm saying to you? I understand everything
- 23:11Speaker 1: that you're saying to me. All I'm saying to you,
- 23:13Speaker 1: I know I know my music when I hear and
- 23:15Speaker 1: I think your boy cow that took my music from me. Now,
- 23:19Speaker 1: if you the stuff you got on, if you was mine,
- 23:22Speaker 1: o't last mine. I ain't abody tripping with y'all on
- 23:26Speaker 1: what you do. I'm just trying to tell you all
- 23:29Speaker 1: that stuff is mine. We're talking about those are my
- 23:31Speaker 1: lyrics on that playboy. You don't write no lyrics from me?
- 23:33Speaker 1: Were you crazy? No? I don't. Right, like one of
- 23:35Speaker 1: the little key blood elth Cap, you don't nobody touched
- 23:38Speaker 1: my lyrics? Be you're saying all that stuff I'm not.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I ain't talking about the mule the lyrics. I'm talking
- 23:42Speaker 1: about the music itself. That's what I'm talking about. The lyrics.
- 23:46Speaker 1: I don't know nothing about that might be you, but
- 23:49Speaker 1: I'm just trying to let you know about the music
- 23:51Speaker 1: that belong to me. Convert that mic that you got
- 23:53Speaker 1: there might be me. Convert the mic. I ain't, no Mike.
- 23:57Speaker 1: The music is mine. Let's get that out out there now.
- 24:01Speaker 1: The music on this song you got, if you was mine,
- 24:03Speaker 1: that's my music. Brother. You ain't Bobby Woollmack. How can
- 24:06Speaker 1: it be your music? The interpretation of the music was
- 24:09Speaker 1: from Bobby Woolmack. Hey, brother, Now, I don't know if
- 24:12Speaker 1: you're the one that stole my music. I don't know
- 24:14Speaker 1: if it was your boy Cal who called himself DJ
- 24:17Speaker 1: Rexhaut whoever he called himself. All I'm trying to let
- 24:20Speaker 1: you know where this music belonged to me. All right,
- 24:23Speaker 1: So what do you want? If you want to meet
- 24:25Speaker 1: me on the streets of way in and you can
- 24:26Speaker 1: handle it the way you want to handle it with me,
- 24:28Speaker 1: you want to handle it that way. You ain't saying
- 24:30Speaker 1: nothing to me, man, You ain't saying this. You're saying
- 24:33Speaker 1: me brother. That's this. I don't want them to keep
- 24:35Speaker 1: blas you don't say me. Did you just say something
- 24:38Speaker 1: about my rectum? Of me? You don't talk of you,
- 24:41Speaker 1: you don't talk about my we go, we will meet
- 24:44Speaker 1: if you keep talking about my you don't bring my
- 24:47Speaker 1: up on nothing. You don't nothing, You ain't nothing. If
- 24:50Speaker 1: you want to talk as men, then we should die
- 24:52Speaker 1: that we talk as men because you're talking about But
- 24:54Speaker 1: if you're come in a bed throwing my name in
- 24:57Speaker 1: the middle of severy, then I got a problem. Want
- 25:00Speaker 1: that be and I'll handle it with you. I'm not
- 25:02Speaker 1: now youngan. I don't make records. I ain't gonna dish
- 25:05Speaker 1: you on the record. I'm gonna come see you so
- 25:07Speaker 1: we can sit down eye the eye and we get
- 25:09Speaker 1: down to what it is. And then all I'm saying
- 25:11Speaker 1: is I got a problem with it and have been
- 25:13Speaker 1: a bigger problem I got at this point. Now it's
- 25:16Speaker 1: for you to tell me. Do I want to meet
- 25:18Speaker 1: you on the streets somewhere? And you know what, I
- 25:20Speaker 1: ain't got no problem with that. You want to find
- 25:23Speaker 1: really want me to see you? Now? You know what
- 25:24Speaker 1: your problem is, man, Your problem is that you ain't
- 25:27Speaker 1: getting a successful, it's heavy date. You didn't do what
- 25:30Speaker 1: Biggie what Biggie Smalls did. That's your problem. Man, that's
- 25:33Speaker 1: gonna have no problem that. Those are incredible artists who
- 25:36Speaker 1: have done all kinds of beautiful things in music. I
- 25:39Speaker 1: have done my singing music, all of those things that
- 25:42Speaker 1: you're trying to get me to go past the line
- 25:44Speaker 1: of sensibility that goes to youngans. And like I said before,
- 25:47Speaker 1: forget about that when I should earlier stands brother, when
- 25:51Speaker 1: you wanted to see me, I don't care. Why do
- 25:53Speaker 1: you want to meet that? How about I got a
- 25:55Speaker 1: better idea for you. I'm doing a club date in Jacksonville, Flaws, brother,
- 25:59Speaker 1: that's who you can that's my guest, and come see
- 26:01Speaker 1: me personally and literally come with this vigor though come
- 26:05Speaker 1: with this vigor vic you're about. You're gonna quit using
- 26:08Speaker 1: these big words. What is this? Ain't no big word
- 26:11Speaker 1: you're gonna use. But you're gonna come there with this attitude.
- 26:14Speaker 1: You ain't gonna see no bodyguard there, you feel me.
- 26:16Speaker 1: All I'm saying to you is the music belongs to me.
- 26:20Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying to you, man, That's all I'm
- 26:22Speaker 1: saying to you. And whoever your boy ever dinning to
- 26:25Speaker 1: swipe my music, laid it under you, and you don't
- 26:28Speaker 1: put some tracks on top of it. Ain't right, dog, brother,
- 26:31Speaker 1: let me tall something. The guy is a guy of
- 26:35Speaker 1: incredible integrity. You keep saying it. For the truth, brother,
- 26:40Speaker 1: it's the truth. I mean, I'm sorry, man, I mean
- 26:42Speaker 1: clear the Trump said. I'm sorry that yourup said. Bring
- 26:45Speaker 1: all of that, Forget all of that, forget everything we're
- 26:48Speaker 1: talking about right now. I want you to know this.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Can I tell you something else? You yelling again? Can
- 26:53Speaker 1: I say something else to you? Can you say it calmly?
- 26:56Speaker 1: I can? You can't? Yes? This is if you time me.
- 27:00Speaker 1: I'm Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got branked by Monica.
- 27:04Speaker 1: You just got branked by your boy name Shock man,
- 27:09Speaker 1: you guys are crazy. This is you're serious. You can't
- 27:15Speaker 1: be certain. I'm dead serious. Baby wow man, wow, man,
- 27:19Speaker 1: that's crazy. Man shot yo. All right, coolbody back. Thank you,
- 27:27Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank
- 27:30Speaker 1: you so kindly, so kindly. Yuys. When you do you do,
- 27:34Speaker 1: don't nobody else do it. When you do it, Yang,
- 27:37Speaker 1: say it again. When you do what you do, don't
- 27:41Speaker 1: nobody else do it. Damn Dan, Dan, What what does
- 27:48Speaker 1: that mean? Because I didn't when I did it just
- 27:52Speaker 1: simply means he's as stupid as you can get. Because
- 27:56Speaker 1: that's what I got. I was my takeaway. Don't don't
- 28:02Speaker 1: listen to him get into your head. Don't you know? Okay,
- 28:08Speaker 1: you won't let nobody. You won't let nobody be happy
- 28:11Speaker 1: and stupid. Don't don't let you do it. And it's
- 28:14Speaker 1: possible to be both at the same time and stupid. Yes,
- 28:19Speaker 1: And he'll take that from me, but he's that in
- 28:22Speaker 1: now man, All right, coming up, thinking of you, coming
- 28:27Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. We'll have entertainment
- 28:29Speaker 1: and national news right after this. You're listening to show.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Kyrie Irving has received a lot of backlash for his
- 28:40Speaker 1: decision to not get vaccinated. Many people have debated Kyrie's position,
- 28:46Speaker 1: including sports analysts and TV hosts. On this radio show,
- 28:50Speaker 1: we've talked about it. So on Wednesday night, Kyrie had
- 28:53Speaker 1: had enough and he got on IG Live to explain
- 28:56Speaker 1: his decision to remain unvaccinated, and he challenged any one
- 29:00Speaker 1: that has something to say to him, say it to
- 29:02Speaker 1: his face. Take a listen before I even get a
- 29:06Speaker 1: chance to be on the podium and speak for myself.
- 29:08Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like all these people saying
- 29:10Speaker 1: all these things about what's going on with me, and
- 29:12Speaker 1: it's just not true. Pay attention to what's going on
- 29:15Speaker 1: out in the real world. You know, people are losing
- 29:17Speaker 1: their jobs to these mandates. People are having to make
- 29:19Speaker 1: choices with their own lives, which I respect, and I
- 29:22Speaker 1: don't want to sit here and play on people's emotions either.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Just use logic. You know, what would you do if
- 29:28Speaker 1: you felt uncomfortable going into the season when you were
- 29:31Speaker 1: promised that you would have exemptions or that you didn't
- 29:34Speaker 1: have to be forced to get to the vaccine. You know,
- 29:36Speaker 1: this wasn't an issue before the season started. This wasn't
- 29:41Speaker 1: something that I foresaw coming where I prepared for it,
- 29:44Speaker 1: and you know, I had a chance to str strategize
- 29:48Speaker 1: on what was going to be best for me and
- 29:49Speaker 1: my family. I came into the season thinking that I
- 29:52Speaker 1: was just gonna be able to play ball, you know,
- 29:54Speaker 1: be able to use my talent to continue to you know,
- 29:58Speaker 1: inspire influence on the right way. You know, this like
- 30:01Speaker 1: putting this on me is just like why are you
- 30:03Speaker 1: putting it on me? You know, like this this is
- 30:05Speaker 1: not part of you know, what's going on in conversations
- 30:10Speaker 1: with scientists, physicians and doctors. I'm just a hooper, right Like,
- 30:13Speaker 1: I'm just a person who's being utilized as an example.
- 30:18Speaker 1: M correction was he wasn't. Here's a problem with younger brother,
- 30:26Speaker 1: the statement that you said I was promised at the
- 30:31Speaker 1: beginning of the season. You ain't the first person got
- 30:37Speaker 1: a promise made to you and broken. So sorry, people
- 30:43Speaker 1: are losing their jobs over these mandates. I'm sorry. This
- 30:48Speaker 1: ain't the NBA's fault. Dog New York has put out
- 30:54Speaker 1: a mandate that everyone must get vaccinated. You live in
- 30:59Speaker 1: New York and play ball in New York. This ain't
- 31:01Speaker 1: from the NBA. This is from New York. So I
- 31:04Speaker 1: don't know what to tell you. Man, do you understand
- 31:07Speaker 1: what the why they have a mandate because so many
- 31:11Speaker 1: people are dying, that's the research. That's the scientific research
- 31:17Speaker 1: that coronavirus kills anybody else, I'm just hate I'm with you.
- 31:23Speaker 1: I mean, you know how many shots I take for
- 31:25Speaker 1: that amount of money? In my ass? Repeatedly, I'm every day,
- 31:32Speaker 1: I take every day. Yes, bent over everything. Yes, I mean,
- 31:38Speaker 1: I'm just saying I get what he's saying. But nobody
- 31:41Speaker 1: who's making out well, I won't say nobody. A lot
- 31:44Speaker 1: of people who are making that much money are not
- 31:46Speaker 1: walking away from the job. People are making way less
- 31:50Speaker 1: than he's making are taking the shot. So if you
- 31:53Speaker 1: don't want to take the shot, cool, But the rules change,
- 31:56Speaker 1: and the rules changed because more people start dying. That's
- 31:59Speaker 1: why they changed the rules. I'm not clear on his reasoning.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I'm just not clear on that or anyone. He didn't
- 32:06Speaker 1: say what his reason was. Heard people die from COVID.
- 32:12Speaker 1: I've not heard anybody die from the vaccine. Now. Nicki
- 32:17Speaker 1: Minaj said her cousin got the vaccine and the swollen friend.
- 32:25Speaker 1: But that was it, all right, we got it. They
- 32:30Speaker 1: threw her ass into the white vaccine helped his jump,
- 32:33Speaker 1: and he'd take it. He d all right, it's time
- 32:37Speaker 1: to move on. Let's check in with miss and Steve,
- 32:41Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Miss Anne Tripp, Okay, it's seven or
- 32:46Speaker 1: four in the morning. I heard that one. This is
- 32:48Speaker 1: a trip with the news in good morning. Former President
- 32:51Speaker 1: Donald Trump has been order to give testimony on Monday
- 32:54Speaker 1: and answer to a suit filed against him by a
- 32:56Speaker 1: human rights group that claims that his security guards beat
- 32:59Speaker 1: him up assaulted them during a protest outside of Trump
- 33:02Speaker 1: Tawis of Manhattan back in twenty fifteen. They were protesting
- 33:05Speaker 1: Trump's calling Mexican immigrants rapists and drug smaller smugglers and
- 33:09Speaker 1: making disparaging and marks about the Black Lives Matter movement.
- 33:13Speaker 1: New York State Court Justice has ordered Trump to submit
- 33:16Speaker 1: a video deposition at the ten am October eighteenth, that
- 33:19Speaker 1: would be Monday, but his lawyer has so far refused
- 33:21Speaker 1: to answer the order, and a lot of people feel
- 33:25Speaker 1: that he's probably not going to answer anything, so I
- 33:27Speaker 1: guess we'll see. Health officials now say that one brand
- 33:30Speaker 1: of COVID vaccine can be mixed and matched with another,
- 33:34Speaker 1: and Jeffrey Zions who's head of the White House COVID
- 33:36Speaker 1: Response Team, says that's good. Forever we have the vaccine
- 33:39Speaker 1: supply and we will be ready to hit the ground
- 33:42Speaker 1: running as soon as any additional boosters are authorized. That
- 33:46Speaker 1: means he's ready, ready, ready. In Kansas City, they're ready.
- 33:49Speaker 1: It's Kansas City, Kansas, I'm talking about, where federal prosecutors
- 33:52Speaker 1: have launched a criminal grand jury probe into the deeds
- 33:55Speaker 1: of a retired detective named Roger Golopsky. CNN says Golobski's
- 34:00Speaker 1: accused of being a real filthy cop who used his
- 34:03Speaker 1: badge to exploit vulnerable black women and frame black men
- 34:08Speaker 1: for crimes they didn't commit and he knew they didn't
- 34:10Speaker 1: commit it, while also being on the payroll of a
- 34:13Speaker 1: local drug kingpin. Jay Z's social justice oriented group Team
- 34:17Speaker 1: Rock found about all this and took out a full
- 34:19Speaker 1: page ad in The Washington Post last week calling the
- 34:22Speaker 1: corruption in Kansas City's police department quote, one of the
- 34:25Speaker 1: worst examples of abuse in US history. For President Bill
- 34:29Speaker 1: Clinton's he's in the hospital this morning. He's uc Irvine
- 34:32Speaker 1: Hospital in California. Doctors say he has an infection. It's
- 34:35Speaker 1: called sepsis. He's reportedly being treated with antibiotics and responding,
- 34:39Speaker 1: mister Clinton is seventy five years old. It's not COVID.
- 34:42Speaker 1: It's not covid, y'all. And finally, remember this live. I'm Ellis,
- 34:48Speaker 1: producer Soul, and we are happy to have you with
- 34:51Speaker 1: us this evening. You were happy, that's right. We were
- 34:55Speaker 1: very happy to have him as well. Ellis halps Soul
- 34:57Speaker 1: broadcasting about eleven national markets, New York to Philly to
- 35:01Speaker 1: Detroit from nineteen sixty eight to nineteen seventy three. His
- 35:04Speaker 1: niece Melissa Hazel says it was like the first black
- 35:07Speaker 1: Tonight Show. The primary purpose of Soul, as Ellis would say,
- 35:11Speaker 1: was not to educate or entertain folks, but to give
- 35:14Speaker 1: people a chance to share in the black experience. And
- 35:18Speaker 1: and Melissa has said that she made a film about
- 35:20Speaker 1: the show. You can see it this Sunday online. Just
- 35:22Speaker 1: go to green Light, Women dot org. As all scope
- 35:24Speaker 1: going to be HBO Max as well. Now back to
- 35:26Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening Morning Show? All right?
- 35:31Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, introduce your guy, your dude, your friend.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Here he is the jank you so Anthony, which is
- 35:41Speaker 1: the brand Atlanta Comedy Theater. You'll know I'm always trying
- 35:49Speaker 1: to do a money making venture. I got a brand
- 35:52Speaker 1: new one. If you want to get in Lemon No,
- 35:55Speaker 1: here it is. It's called Ratchett Memorial. How many times
- 36:00Speaker 1: have you gone to a funeral and it just turned
- 36:03Speaker 1: out to be the most ratchet thing in the world
- 36:06Speaker 1: we've all been to. At Ratchet Memorial, you're not gonna
- 36:11Speaker 1: have that problem because you Noah's gonna be ratchet before
- 36:17Speaker 1: you go. Daddy got a wife and a girlfriend. They
- 36:20Speaker 1: both gonna be that, damn it. That's what we do
- 36:23Speaker 1: at Ratchett Memorial. Grandma got a baby, don't nobody to
- 36:27Speaker 1: talk about he coming to the funeral front roll Now,
- 36:33Speaker 1: most funeral homes have six pall bearers. We don't do
- 36:37Speaker 1: that at Ratchett. We want to save you some money.
- 36:40Speaker 1: We put two wheels on the end of the casket
- 36:44Speaker 1: and we roll Uncle Chester end like a dollar. If
- 36:48Speaker 1: it ass fallout, he fall out, he say, if he
- 36:58Speaker 1: fall out, fall the ratchet fall out. Now you go
- 37:07Speaker 1: to the funeral and you never know when people gonna clown. Well,
- 37:10Speaker 1: we make sure people gonna clown because we hire actors
- 37:14Speaker 1: to clown. The straight up, clown fall all out, run
- 37:19Speaker 1: around the church, pee on themselves, have a fit, start
- 37:23Speaker 1: a fight. That's what we do at Ratchett Memorial. How
- 37:29Speaker 1: do you think of it? And last but not least,
- 37:32Speaker 1: at Ratchett Memorial. A lot of times you go to
- 37:36Speaker 1: a funeral looking to see if your name's on the program.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Don't worry about it. It ain't gonna be there. Okay,
- 37:44Speaker 1: don't even look. Your name will be left off. That's
- 37:49Speaker 1: how we start a fight. Remember if you don't have
- 37:52Speaker 1: a fight, then the funeral ain't right. Ratchet Memorial. How
- 37:56Speaker 1: about that slogan ratchet They got better name in the program?
- 38:02Speaker 1: Ain't for me? And go all right? Wowow head one,
- 38:14Speaker 1: come on to save money instead of spending all that
- 38:20Speaker 1: money embalming your love one, we just opened the cask
- 38:25Speaker 1: and and put a big ass fan over the what
- 38:35Speaker 1: have you? What did you say? We have to go now?
- 38:42Speaker 1: We have to go? Okay, alright, alright. Next up we're
- 38:46Speaker 1: gonna talk about ready to Love. Right after this. You're
- 38:51Speaker 1: listening to show? All right, ladies and gentlemen, we need
- 38:56Speaker 1: a drum roll right here, because to night there we go. Tonight, yes, tonight,
- 39:03Speaker 1: Season five, are ready to Love premieres on Own. That's
- 39:08Speaker 1: nine pm, eight pm Eastern. Our very own nephew, Tommy,
- 39:13Speaker 1: or excuse me, excuse me, Tommy Miles, Thomas Miles, tomlef
- 39:19Speaker 1: is on this show. He's the host of this show,
- 39:22Speaker 1: not the nephew. All right, So we gotta find out
- 39:25Speaker 1: about the new season. All right, So Tommy, congratulations again.
- 39:29Speaker 1: This is wonderful. Season five, I mean really kicks off
- 39:33Speaker 1: this time in DC with brand new contestants. They are
- 39:37Speaker 1: ready to love. Tell us about the new season. This
- 39:40Speaker 1: new season is different. This season is different because you know,
- 39:43Speaker 1: everybody has been watching the shows. I mean this is
- 39:45Speaker 1: the fifth season, so everybody thinks they know what's gonna happen.
- 39:48Speaker 1: You know, even the viewers think they know what's gonna happen.
- 39:50Speaker 1: So people to come, the contestants that come on the show,
- 39:53Speaker 1: they really think they know step by step. So now
- 39:56Speaker 1: what we've done, we know, got together and just start
- 39:59Speaker 1: thorn curveballs every episode and it's it's completely different from
- 40:04Speaker 1: what they've seen the past four seasons. So they don't
- 40:06Speaker 1: see it coming. And I mean when I say curveballs,
- 40:09Speaker 1: I'm telling my curveballs. I mean just I don't want
- 40:12Speaker 1: to give it up. But when y'all watch it, it's
- 40:14Speaker 1: gonna be like, oh my god, that came out of nowhere.
- 40:16Speaker 1: So everybody that's you know, sitting on the couch with
- 40:18Speaker 1: your lady. I've heard that even the men are watching
- 40:20Speaker 1: the show now. So I got curveballs for you. Every
- 40:25Speaker 1: single episode you're gonna be like, oh my god, they're
- 40:27Speaker 1: doing that tool. Trust me, it gets it gets bananas.
- 40:31Speaker 1: But but these people, you know, my contestants out of
- 40:34Speaker 1: watching DC, they are they are some some some boss ladies,
- 40:38Speaker 1: some bass brothers, intelligent to the tea. Y'all gonna like them.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Y'all gonna like them. Y'all in for a treat to
- 40:43Speaker 1: see now? You mentioned curveball. Is that the same thing
- 40:45Speaker 1: as the wild card you had for this season? Because
- 40:49Speaker 1: you talked about a wildcard too. I got a wild
- 40:51Speaker 1: card too. Okay, all right, can you tell us a
- 40:53Speaker 1: little bit about the wild card without giving too much
- 40:56Speaker 1: of it away? You know what you had a wild card?
- 40:59Speaker 1: When you had a wild card when Chris showed back
- 41:02Speaker 1: up right? Oh remember remember when I went from from
- 41:05Speaker 1: a past season, I brought somebody back. It's wilder than
- 41:08Speaker 1: that wild Can I ask a question. How long is
- 41:12Speaker 1: a person are you talking to people to figure out
- 41:16Speaker 1: you ain't ready for love? How long? I swear to you, Jay,
- 41:20Speaker 1: the first episode, I know who ready and who's not ready?
- 41:22Speaker 1: You know who ready and who immediately. I haven't been
- 41:25Speaker 1: on the show, Jay, I'm not ready. I'm ready at all.
- 41:31Speaker 1: You know. I try not to watch it because I
- 41:33Speaker 1: don't want it to make me ready and for love.
- 41:35Speaker 1: So little bit, Tommy, I can tell who's not ready.
- 41:45Speaker 1: I could tell the players. I could tell the players immediately.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I can look at the ladies in the minute, which
- 41:49Speaker 1: when I'm not ready, you can tell ready way immediately, wow,
- 41:52Speaker 1: and guess what they'd be the first to go okay?
- 41:55Speaker 1: All right? So now you do work closely with the contestants, Tommy,
- 41:59Speaker 1: you do right? So can you protect? Can you predict?
- 42:03Speaker 1: Is it easy or hard? Does that make it easier
- 42:05Speaker 1: hard for you to protict a love connection? Because I'm
- 42:07Speaker 1: always thinking these two are gonna be together, They're gonna
- 42:10Speaker 1: make it, they're gonna get married. I think every time
- 42:12Speaker 1: I see somebody start out up front, it dwindles, it
- 42:17Speaker 1: changes midway through. I've never had somebody last all the
- 42:20Speaker 1: way through. You know it always changes. I started feeling
- 42:23Speaker 1: him a little better, and then and then it just
- 42:25Speaker 1: a hard right, You'd be like, what, y'all was so
- 42:27Speaker 1: perfect to be so So here's the thing, here's the
- 42:31Speaker 1: thing you should do this season. When you see the
- 42:33Speaker 1: first when you see the first twenty, try to match
- 42:36Speaker 1: them up and see if you can pick three couples
- 42:39Speaker 1: that are going to make it to the end. Okay,
- 42:42Speaker 1: all right, pick pick out three men, three women. Say
- 42:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna match these together and see if you're gonna
- 42:46Speaker 1: see if you make it to the end. And any
- 42:48Speaker 1: difference between the DC contestants and the other contestants from Atlanta,
- 42:53Speaker 1: from Houston, what's the difference there? You? Of course, Houston,
- 42:57Speaker 1: I'm your hometown. They country. Houston was country, but I
- 43:01Speaker 1: loved it. Uh, this is this is different. I got
- 43:05Speaker 1: some super super educated contestants, not that Houston wasn't, but
- 43:09Speaker 1: this one, I just feel a little different about Chocolate City.
- 43:12Speaker 1: They bringing it, they balling. Okay, all right, We've always
- 43:16Speaker 1: heard good things about Chocolate City. So we're gonna see again.
- 43:21Speaker 1: A Season five A Ready to Love premiers on Own
- 43:24Speaker 1: at nine pm eight p m Eastern and our very
- 43:29Speaker 1: own Thomas Miles, is there not nephew Tommy Thomas smiles.
- 43:34Speaker 1: If y'all don't get Nephew Tommy on this show soon,
- 43:36Speaker 1: there's gonna be a damn problem. All right, all right,
- 43:42Speaker 1: congratulations and nephew coming up next, more nephew with the
- 43:45Speaker 1: frank phone call. Right after this, you're listening to the
- 43:48Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top of
- 43:52Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry
- 43:55Speaker 1: letter for today, and the subject is I've been faking
- 43:59Speaker 1: it and got caught. Not what you think? Not what
- 44:04Speaker 1: you think. We'll get into it in just a bit,
- 44:06Speaker 1: but right now it is time for the nephew and
- 44:09Speaker 1: the frank phone call. What you got for us? Now?
- 44:12Speaker 1: You've been wearing my clothes? You've been wearing my clothes? Really? Yeah,
- 44:21Speaker 1: that's it? Come on, kay? Hello, Hello, I'm trying to uh,

- 45:11Speaker 1: a year now. I name, my name is Donnie. Oh yeah, Donnie, Donna.
- 45:16Speaker 1: I don't I don't remember. I know I would be
- 45:19Speaker 1: coming here. I know your faith though, yeah I don't
- 45:21Speaker 1: know you. You probably know me when you see me.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, you probably you probably know when you
- 45:25Speaker 1: see But listen. Uh he when I had a problem
- 45:28Speaker 1: and now I came in. Uh but last week sometimes
- 45:30Speaker 1: I came in, I think it last third, I came
- 45:32Speaker 1: in to get my clothes. I dropped off and uh
- 45:35Speaker 1: nah noah, I had brought some clothes probably about three
- 45:38Speaker 1: weeks before that. Uh, huh. And and when I got
- 45:42Speaker 1: home three you know, like I said, three weeks. When
- 45:44Speaker 1: I got on with that with them clothes, I realized
- 45:47Speaker 1: I was missing a shot. And uh. And I was like,
- 45:49Speaker 1: I don't, I don't know, wear my shirt that I
- 45:51Speaker 1: come fast. So now just last week when I came
- 45:54Speaker 1: back to pick up some clothes and nah, and this
- 45:56Speaker 1: what was you know? I didn't want to raise no
- 45:58Speaker 1: no havoc in your in your stuff nothing, but what
- 46:01Speaker 1: I looked on I looked at you. You was actually
- 46:03Speaker 1: putting that took my money and gave me, gave him
- 46:05Speaker 1: a clothes. But when I when I look closer, it's you.
- 46:09Speaker 1: I realized you you you act you actually had on
- 46:12Speaker 1: my shirt? What you had it? I had gone on
- 46:16Speaker 1: and count of ten. I went on out to my

- 53:32Speaker 1: Buckle uppohold on tight. We got it for you. Here
- 53:34Speaker 1: it is the Strawberry Letter subject. I've been faking it
- 53:39Speaker 1: and got caught. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a forty seven
- 53:42Speaker 1: year old single man and I moved to Atlantic City recently,
- 53:45Speaker 1: and I share a home with my elderly uncle. He
- 53:48Speaker 1: has always been like a father to me, so what's
- 53:52Speaker 1: his is mine and vice versa. He has always had
- 53:55Speaker 1: the flashy cars and nice suits, and he still wears
- 53:58Speaker 1: a huge diamond sky ring. His wife died a year ago,
- 54:02Speaker 1: so he's adjusting to the single life. Since he's a
- 54:06Speaker 1: young seventy two years old. It's great living with him,
- 54:09Speaker 1: and although I am a grown man, I still learn
- 54:12Speaker 1: a lot from him. I started taking care of his
- 54:15Speaker 1: cars for him, so I'm in a different car every day.
- 54:19Speaker 1: He has two and his wife drove an Escalade. Being
- 54:23Speaker 1: new in town, I was focused on meeting a nice
- 54:26Speaker 1: lady to settle down with. I'm recently divorced and I
- 54:29Speaker 1: hate being single. I was out running Aaron's last month
- 54:33Speaker 1: and I part next to a fine young lady and
- 54:35Speaker 1: she watched me as I got out of the car,
- 54:38Speaker 1: so I doubled back to say hello to her. She
- 54:41Speaker 1: complimented me on the Escalade and said it's her dream car.
- 54:45Speaker 1: I told her I'd pick her up later for dinner
- 54:47Speaker 1: in it. It was just that easy. I had a
- 54:50Speaker 1: date with a fine thirty four year old woman. I
- 54:53Speaker 1: continued to see her, and I was always in a
- 54:56Speaker 1: different car. She was hooked, and although I knew she
- 54:59Speaker 1: was a track to the nicer things, I was trying
- 55:02Speaker 1: to make her like me like me just as much.
- 55:05Speaker 1: One day I was out with my uncle and she
- 55:08Speaker 1: called and asked me to bring her a bag of potatoes.
- 55:11Speaker 1: I would do anything this woman wanted at this point.
- 55:15Speaker 1: At that point, so I could keep her. My uncle
- 55:18Speaker 1: and I swung by her place, and she came out
- 55:21Speaker 1: to the bins and leaned in, and my uncle told
- 55:24Speaker 1: her that he was very happy that I'm living with
- 55:27Speaker 1: him while I got on my feet and found a job.
- 55:31Speaker 1: The disappointment showed in her face and she had stopped
- 55:34Speaker 1: taking my calls. Did I dodge a bullet? Or should
- 55:37Speaker 1: I keep pursuing her? Well, I gotta say this. You're
- 55:43Speaker 1: mad at your uncle right about now, aren't you? For
- 55:45Speaker 1: snitching on you? That's exactly what he did. You had
- 55:50Speaker 1: a really good thing. I was wondering if you heard
- 55:58Speaker 1: that you had a really good thing going with this
- 56:01Speaker 1: young lady and then unc pulled the curtain all the
- 56:04Speaker 1: way back. I think he sees what you're doing and
- 56:07Speaker 1: he's tired of it, and things have just come to
- 56:10Speaker 1: a head. This was his way of telling you to
- 56:12Speaker 1: be a man, get your stuff together. You you never
- 56:16Speaker 1: mentioned in the letter. Are you even trying to get
- 56:18Speaker 1: a job, because that's where your focus should be right now.
- 56:22Speaker 1: You can't live off your uncle forever. And yes, what
- 56:25Speaker 1: you saw in her face was shock because she realized
- 56:28Speaker 1: that you weren't the man she thought you were. You
- 56:30Speaker 1: were lying in stunting and your uncle just busted you out.
- 56:34Speaker 1: So don't try to make her out to be a
- 56:36Speaker 1: gold digger or anything. Talking about did you dodge a bullet.
- 56:40Speaker 1: Uh no, that's not the case. She's not the bad guy.
- 56:44Speaker 1: You did this to yourself. Women don't like liars, that's all.
- 56:49Speaker 1: You should have been real with her, Steve. Yeah, well,
- 56:57Speaker 1: this is gonna be an interesting letter because I have
- 57:00Speaker 1: a different take care of this, this idiot mess right here.
- 57:05Speaker 1: So let me take you down into the other places
- 57:09Speaker 1: of my mind. And what I read when I read
- 57:12Speaker 1: the letter. I've been faking it and I got caught
- 57:18Speaker 1: this Stephen Sherley. Now I'm as I read the letter,
- 57:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you the thoughts I was having as
- 57:24Speaker 1: I was reading the letter. And I had these thoughts
- 57:27Speaker 1: more and more as I went on, because I'm very
- 57:29Speaker 1: confused forty. First of all, I'm a forty seven year
- 57:33Speaker 1: old single man, and I moved to Atlantic City. Were
- 57:35Speaker 1: very rarely getting letters from forty seven year old men.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Ask for starters right there. I share a home with
- 57:42Speaker 1: my elderly uncle. He's always been like a father to me.
- 57:47Speaker 1: And here's way it gets tricky right off the bat.
- 57:50Speaker 1: So was here's his mind and vice versa. He has
- 57:56Speaker 1: always had the flashy cars at nice suits, and he
- 58:01Speaker 1: is the first thing he still wears a huge diamond
- 58:05Speaker 1: pinky ring. I noticed right away that he's attracted to
- 58:11Speaker 1: things also, and now he impressed with his uncle because
- 58:17Speaker 1: he wears a huge pinky Dammond ring. A lot of
- 58:21Speaker 1: little things matter to this dude writing this letter. His
- 58:25Speaker 1: wife died a year ago, so he's adjusted to the
- 58:27Speaker 1: single life since he's a young seventy two years old.
- 58:31Speaker 1: Here's another statement. It's great living with him. And although
- 58:36Speaker 1: I'm a grown man who well right there to her,
- 58:42Speaker 1: how hard to say it's a great living with somebody
- 58:44Speaker 1: in your asses for the seven I still learned a
- 58:49Speaker 1: lot from him. Now that's a true statement. Here's another
- 58:53Speaker 1: statement that sticks out. I started taking care of his
- 58:57Speaker 1: cards for him, so I'm in a different car every day.
- 59:03Speaker 1: He has two excuse me, he has two, and his
- 59:07Speaker 1: wife drove an escalade. Now, being new in town, I
- 59:11Speaker 1: was focused on meeting a nice lady to settle down with. Okay,
- 59:16Speaker 1: I'm recently divorced and I hate being single. I was
- 59:21Speaker 1: out running as last month and I parted next to
- 59:23Speaker 1: a fine young lady and she watched me as I
- 59:25Speaker 1: got out to car, so I doubled back to say hello.
- 59:29Speaker 1: She complimented me on the Escalade and said it's her
- 59:33Speaker 1: dream car. Where all stay though, excuse me while I
- 59:43Speaker 1: have a moment, and I'm not flexing nor acting, Budgie
- 59:47Speaker 1: law of attraction is at work. I will shall go down.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Hold on, Steve, we'll have part two of your response
- 59:52Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's
- 59:55Speaker 1: Strubberry Letters, subject I've been faking it and got caught.
- 59:59Speaker 1: We'll get back into to it right after this. You're
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: listening show, all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. The subject I've been faking it and got caught.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: And the name of this letter I've discovered should be
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: small people like small things, because this is what I'm
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: seeing in this letter a lot of Here's a forty
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: seven year old single man that the move to Atlantic
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: City and thanks, it's great to move in with his uncle.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Small people like small things. And so he's been like
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: a father to me. And so we've always considered was
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: he is his his? I mean, was he is his mind?
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: And was mine is his? He's always had the flashy
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: cause that you're gonna find out that the escalade would
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: want him. He's always had the flashy cars. And nice suits,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: and here's a big one. He still wears a huge
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: diamond pinky ring. Small people like small things. His wife
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: died a year ago. He's just in to the single life.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: He's young, seventy two years old, and it's great living
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: with him, even though I'm a grown man. Small people
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: like small things. Why don't you see your life in trouble?
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: If you fought the seven, you gotta move in with
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: your uncle. Your uncle ain't sick. It's something wrong with you, dog,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: but you're so happy to move in. I still learn
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: a lot from him, so I started taking care of
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: his cars for him. So I'm in a different car
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: every day. He had two and his wife drove Escalade,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: and being new in time, I was trying to focus
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: on this woman. So he goes to the store and
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: he gets out of the car and he puts next
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: to this really fine woman and he gets down at
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: the truck. He notices her looking at him. He doubles
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: back and speak to the girl, and she told him
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: she complimented me on the Escalade and said it's her
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: dream car. Listen, y'all, I think escalated trucks is nice myself,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: I really do. I wouldn't mind only one. I was
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: in one rented, you know, got picked up in one another.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Then I like them. I think the cold trucks. But
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: that ain't my dream car. Yeah, I won't one, but
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: you know it's okay. You can pick up your dreams,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: though you can want something else. But I like escalators.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I do want to say that cat like insculated nice trucks.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: I told her I'd pick up later for dinner in it.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: And it was just that easy. Small people like small things.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: I had a date with a fine thirty, the old woman,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: and I continued to see her, and I was always
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: in a different car. Y'all ain't got but two though
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: you just said that you got two cars. You Every
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: time she saw him, I was in a different car.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: She was hooked. And although I knew she was attracted
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: to the nicer thing, listen to me. Small people like
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: small things, don't I was trying to make me make
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: her like me as much. Here we go. One day
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: I was out with my uncle and she called and
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: asked me to bring her bag of potatoes. What what
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: you was out? She called and asked you to bring
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: up a bag of potatoes? Fellas how many times all
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: the women you dating. Just backtrack, fellas, how many times
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: has a woman called you and asked you to bring
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: her a bag of potatoes? No? Never, never, Well do
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: y'all state man bring them something to eat up? But
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: not doing or potatoes? Now, don't I read that? I went,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: we didn't stopped this letter right here. I would do
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: anything this woman wanted at this point. Yep, even sway
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: by and get a bag of potatoes so I could
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: keep it. My uncle and I swung by her place.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: Now heither took an uncle with him, which he's got
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: to potatoes. So they swing by with the potatoes. Potatoes
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: in the back seat. Now you bought your homie with you.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: That's seventy two years old. You into your homie car
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: and you got these potatoes in the back and you
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: probably had to bottom money from your uncle to body
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: damn potatoes. She comes out to the car. Now hear
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: the other thing who pull up at somebody house blow
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: the horn and they come out to get a sack
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: of potatoes. This letter is a tample. Just a small
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: people like small things too. I've yes, bladen, I got
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: the potatoes and we're coming out. I'm on my way. Yeah,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: we got him. You got him. Bring your brother with
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: you is a twenty crown bang. So she came out
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: to the bins and leaning there. Now they got the bins. Now.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: My uncle told her he was very happy that I'm
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: living with him while I got on my feet and
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: found a job. The disappointment showed on her face. She
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: stopped taking my call. Did I dodge your bullet? Or
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: should I keep pursuing her? Though? You quit calling her? Yeah,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: she'd found out that ain't your beins, that ain't your escalade.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: She had found out you ain't working and you probably
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: didn't bring the right bag of potatoes. Ballte damn out
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: of whole potatoes with all these spuds on who brands

- 1:15:57Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: All right, guys, October is domestic Violence Awareness Month. Let
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: me just throw a couple of facts out at you.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: I think we talked about this yesterday with Bobby Brown.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: During COVID there was an eighty two percent increase in
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: domestic violence cases. Domestic violence is one of the most
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: chronically underreported crimes, and intimate partner violence is the number
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: one issue on both college campuses and in the LGBTQ community.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Those are some facts that you may not know. This
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: is a hard subject to talk about, but October is
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: domestic Violence Awareness Month, and for the past sixteen years,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: the Alma Domestic Violence Foundation has sought to educate, empower
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: and celebrate survivors of domestic violence and help them achieve
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: economic self sufficiency. Well you can help now. You can
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: help by joining me tomorrow and the Alma Foundation's annual
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: Walk a Mile in their Shoe five k run and
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: one mile walk. It is taking place in Atlanta. All
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: the proceeds benefits victims of domestic violence and for more information,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: you could visit Alma DVF dot org slash our events.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: I would love to see you there. I'll be there
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: and just come on out. And it's for a great cause.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: Like I said, it's one of the most underreported crimes.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: Uh there is. People don't like to talk about it.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: It's not a pretty subject. But it's happening and it's
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: out there. So what did you what did you say
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: sharlier about college campuses though um intimate partner violence is
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: the number one issue on both college campuses and in
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: the LGBTQ community. I mean of the reasons is it
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: doesn't get reported past the college or to the college
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: d right whatever, especially those private colleges, they really don't
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: like to report that yet. Yeah, I mean, you know,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: this is like I said, it's not a pretty subject.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: We don't don't like to talk about it. But October
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: is domestic violence a month and eight increase in domestic
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: violence cases during this COVID nineteen pandemic. So wow, you
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: know we can do something about it again. Go to
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: the Alma DVF dot org website Alma DVF dot org
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: slash our events and get more information on the walk
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: tomorrow in Atlanta. I got a baby girl about to
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: go off to college. Man, we've had this conversation. Yeah, absolutely, yeah, absolutely,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: I mean just the facts are just star. I'm not
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: gonna be no good with that one. Now. You cannot
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: put your hands or one of my daughters. Nope. Yeah,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: we we just have to stop. I mean, it's all
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: around and there are men being abused. You know, children
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: who are raised in these abusive families. You know where
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: violence occurs. It's not good for the kids. You know.
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: It's just so many levels of domestic violence, and we
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: have to be aware of it and try and do
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: something about it as much as we can. Coming up,
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: it is our last break of the day, and at
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after the hour, we'll have some closing
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: remarks from the one and only are Fearless Leader Steve Harvey.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening to show all right, guys,
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: here we are our last break of the day, last
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: break of the week on this Fridays. Been a good
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: and interesting week. I still can't believe William Shatner is
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: nine old. Yeah, yeah, he's ninety years old, the oldest
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: man that's ever gone to space. He just wasted a day.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: When't you a little boy when you was watching him. Right, See,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: good old man, we forget our trek. We've ninety seven. Yeah,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: but we forget. We forget because listen to me. My
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: wife's makeup artists told her in a conversation, I didn't
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: know mister Harvey had hair before. They thought you were
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: just boring ball. But see, listen to me, man, when
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: I was on TV. You know, she was eight and
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: somebody who've never seen those shows, she never saw that.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: All she knew of was fifteen years ago. Fifteen years ago,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: she was eight. I ain't had a half. It's crazy. Man. Hey,
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: let me share something with y'allie closing remarks today. And
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: I'm bringing this up because I had a very very
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: interesting conversation with a young man yesterday and we were
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: talking and he said, O G, I need some advice.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: I said, all right, man, I got you. What's going on?
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: He would present it to tell me about this problem
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: he had, But in the description of the problem, the
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: problem kept growing because he kept talking about the future.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: He kept talking about well, and the reason I'm making
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: this decision is because in January, if this don't pan out,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: what I'm supposed to do. And then he said, I'm
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: responsible for this amount of money, and if that don't
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: work out, what I'm gonna do. And then he said,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: if he buys something now, it's gonna cause him not
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: to be able to buy something in January, then in
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: May he won't be able to do this, and then
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: another and he just kept talking to me. And when
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: he got through talking, I said, young man, I said, man,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: let me let me help you with understand help you
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: with understanding something. You putting a load on your plate
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: that you're not built to carry. You're putting a load
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: on your back that you're not built to carry. He said,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: what do you mean by that? I said, the future.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: You keep bringing the future into the present, which ain't
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: even here yet, and we're not built for that. See,
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: God didn't build us to overly concern ourselves and bring
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: the problems of tomorrow into our day, because tomorrow's not promised.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: You don't know what's gonna happen by January or March
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: or made and so all these projections you have, and
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: all of them being negative, What if this don't happen?
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: I don't have da da da. You've bought something into
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: your day that you don't even have the ability to
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: cope with. That's why the Lord's Prayer specifically says, give
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: us this day our daily bread. It says that because
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: what you need is the power to get through today.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: He said, yeah, but y' oh gee, I'm a planner,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: though I have to make forecasts and foresee the money
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: and things like that. I said, blah, we all planners
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: like that. I say, you know, listen to me, man.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: The Bible even says a man without a dream or
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: vision shall perish. But see, you still got to do
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: what the Lord's Pray says, give us this day our
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: daily bread. What you need is to strength, the courage,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: the wisdom and understanding to make decisions for today that
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: may impact your future. But you're making them today. You
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: can't impact your future with the future talk. When you
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: gotta have something, you're doing about it today. I see,
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: young man, you are beating yourself up and you're bringing
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: some wary on you that you're not built for. I
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: say we the human being is built for today, the present.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: You are not built to worry about the future. You
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: don't have the capacity for that. Why are you worrying
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: about next summer? You gotta finish today. Today is big,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: and let me tell you how God made it so
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: fair for us. He knew that today was so much.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: He even broken up into two day parts. He gave
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: us day and he gave us night because he knew
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: one of them day parts we needed a break. Man, Man,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: let me go, let me let you go get some
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: sleep so you wake up. Do this again, because what
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: I'm fitting to put on you, and what life is
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: gonna put on you today is enough for you to handle.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: The Lord's prayer says it give us this day our
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: daily bread. But if you're gonna take January March, next
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: summer and bring that into your day today, you're overloading
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: your system. You're beating yourself up. He said, Gee, how
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: you know this? I say, because I used to do it.
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: I did it for years worrying about the future. He said, Man,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: but you got a plan? No, I say, planning and
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: worrying is two different things. But every plan I have
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: is something that I can set into motion today. Now,
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: do I have a dream vision to start some things? Yes,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: but I can't start him until I start him. Dog,
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: what you're tripping on that for? You're overloading yourself. Folks.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: If you're one of those people that are overloading yourself
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: with the what if and to what might happen and
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: playing it off like that, you're overloading yourself. If you
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: would stop and ask God in the Lord's prayer to
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: give us this day our daily bread that will be
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: sufficient enough, and let tomorrow come, and then deal with
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: tomorrow when you get here. Watch how that? Watch how
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: that makes your life a lot smoother. Those are my
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: clothing remarks. I hope you got something from it. I
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: hope he got something from it. A lot to couple down.
