- 0:32Speaker 1: Rau Sean McDonald. It's an important to understand that everybody
- 0:35Speaker 1: travels a different path to success. That's because your brand
- 0:38Speaker 1: is different, the challenges you face in your life are different.
- 0:41Speaker 1: So stop reading other people's success stories and really start
- 0:44Speaker 1: writing your own. I mean that now you can be
- 0:47Speaker 1: motivated by other people's success because their stories can offer direction,
- 0:51Speaker 1: offer your hope, offer your glimpse as an opportunity that
- 0:53Speaker 1: you personally want to achieve. But you have to reach
- 0:56Speaker 1: your goals yourself, through your planning and to your community effort.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Next cast is all about committed effort and also about
- 1:02Speaker 1: reaching his own dreams. He is an inventor and a
- 1:04Speaker 1: hard worker. He has dreamed up dozens of innovations and
- 1:08Speaker 1: solutions to everyday problems well over a decade. His endurance
- 1:12Speaker 1: has and yielded him and overnight success with the current investors.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Now he has multiple ideas in various stages of the production.
- 1:19Speaker 1: He's the owner of a startup and has aspirations that
- 1:22Speaker 1: reach into multimedia entertainment. Please welcome to money making Conversations
- 1:27Speaker 1: out of michicun My man, Corey Wilcox, Hey, Corey, what's
- 1:32Speaker 1: going on? Well? I brought you on the show man
- 1:35Speaker 1: because you know, I'm a guy who's never ever been
- 1:39Speaker 1: able to understand the rubi Q. And you come up
- 1:43Speaker 1: with something similar in style called the Rodeo brain, which
- 1:46Speaker 1: is a three dimensional type would enhances your memory, critical
- 1:50Speaker 1: thinking skills, and would test your i Q. Well, you
- 1:53Speaker 1: know my Q pretty high. What would the Rodo brain do?
- 1:57Speaker 1: And I'm not saying that out of ego. I got
- 1:58Speaker 1: a mad degree my minds and sociology, so I'm a
- 2:02Speaker 1: logical person. But man, this roto brain looks like it's
- 2:06Speaker 1: gonna complicate my mind, and I just it's my mind
- 2:08Speaker 1: too over and to embrace something like this just for
- 2:11Speaker 1: a certain generational age. No, it's for it's for all generations. Uh,
- 2:17Speaker 1: it's next level puzzle gaming. Um it's basically, I took
- 2:20Speaker 1: the idea from uh master combination lock right right combination lock,
- 2:28Speaker 1: just figured hey, I want to just make something cool
- 2:31Speaker 1: from it, and I brought the I took a excube
- 2:34Speaker 1: and I took the Master combination I can I kind
- 2:37Speaker 1: of combining together and say, hey, let's make this happen. Okay, now,
- 2:40Speaker 1: the Master's combination lock. You know, that's that you know,
- 2:43Speaker 1: you know, to this way, this way, this way left
- 2:47Speaker 1: to thirteen fifteen right, thirteen left, and then they're unlocks.
- 2:53Speaker 1: That's the way that works. But that's just a lot.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Now you have all these colors that you have to
- 3:00Speaker 1: align on the rotor brain correct similar to the rock
- 3:03Speaker 1: que So each each level has its own combination code
- 3:06Speaker 1: color combination code. So as you go through the game,
- 3:10Speaker 1: the first combination code has about three hundred combination possibilities,
- 3:14Speaker 1: the second, the second row has about ten thousand possibilities,
- 3:19Speaker 1: and the third row has about sixty thousand possibilities. So
- 3:22Speaker 1: as you saw beach rolls a little knob at the top.
- 3:25Speaker 1: You get the correct colors correct through combination colors, each
- 3:28Speaker 1: level will pop up and say uh, Level one complete,
- 3:31Speaker 1: Level two complete, Level three complete. Once you get done
- 3:34Speaker 1: with the game, you can actually take it apart and
- 3:37Speaker 1: and reset it and start your own code and give
- 3:40Speaker 1: it to your friend and family member and you can
- 3:42Speaker 1: say hey, now you saw it, or you can even
- 3:44Speaker 1: if you want to test yourself, you can reset the
- 3:46Speaker 1: code and try to solve it again. Now we said
- 3:49Speaker 1: reset the code, what does that mean? Because I want
- 3:51Speaker 1: you to slow it down. We all podcasts and we
- 3:54Speaker 1: all on video, but just to get somebody hears this
- 3:56Speaker 1: on podcast when you say the word reachet the code.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Because we're talking about the roto brain. Let me explain
- 4:01Speaker 1: everybody with the roatal brain. Is it's a three D
- 4:03Speaker 1: puzzle similar to the Ruby cute. Well, you know that
- 4:07Speaker 1: enhances your memory because you gotta remember when you place
- 4:09Speaker 1: all these different colors to get them a line critical
- 4:11Speaker 1: thinking skills and we'll test your i Q the benefits
- 4:15Speaker 1: of this rotal brain that will enhance your thinking, improve
- 4:17Speaker 1: your memory. Your patients, that's my problem patients, problem solving skills,
- 4:22Speaker 1: keep your mind active and improve your speed, your finger dexterity,
- 4:26Speaker 1: and agility. Now, this is an awesome way, as you
- 4:29Speaker 1: always say, it's a conversation starter. Once you put it
- 4:32Speaker 1: out on the table, when your adult and a kid,
- 4:35Speaker 1: you're gonna pick it up. Correct, I actually I can, uh,
- 4:38Speaker 1: I can take it down absolutely. Let's walk us through
- 4:40Speaker 1: this stap Now we're a video, okay, so I can
- 4:44Speaker 1: take it down as I just want to set you
- 4:45Speaker 1: because you say when you say how you reset it
- 4:48Speaker 1: and why you reset it, sir, you take it apart.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Actually has gears that go around. So these gears as
- 4:56Speaker 1: a little knobs and you can actually set these knobs
- 4:59Speaker 1: and actually can set up the colors for you. And
- 5:02Speaker 1: that's how you actually have the combination code where you
- 5:04Speaker 1: can reset it and give it to friends and family. Right,
- 5:06Speaker 1: So you can't I love this already because you're saying, Rashawn,
- 5:10Speaker 1: you can. You can always change your challenge, always yourself,
- 5:17Speaker 1: challenge yourself. Okay. So now this goes back to the
- 5:20Speaker 1: how did this start? Which came first they gotta chicken?
- 5:24Speaker 1: How did this whole thing lay itself out? Because to me,
- 5:27Speaker 1: I'm still confused, not in the sect of the fact
- 5:30Speaker 1: that this is not a talented toy or talented thinking
- 5:34Speaker 1: the device. How you pulled it off. That's why I'm confused,
- 5:38Speaker 1: because you're stepping into another level of being an inventor
- 5:43Speaker 1: that really complicates my life but also simplifies it because
- 5:46Speaker 1: you were able to pull it off. That's why you
- 5:48Speaker 1: are who you are, and that's why I'm interviewing you.
- 5:54Speaker 1: You know, I can get the background of the rotor
- 5:57Speaker 1: brain is. I was going through a very very very
- 6:01Speaker 1: depressing time of my life because I've been event for
- 6:03Speaker 1: a very long time, so I never really got any
- 6:08Speaker 1: success from, you know, showing companies different toys and different products.
- 6:11Speaker 1: So I had this this I'm just in a deep,
- 6:14Speaker 1: deep place in my deep dark place in my life,
- 6:17Speaker 1: and I had a conversation with God. I sat there
- 6:19Speaker 1: and prayed. I remember, I remember like it was yesterday,
- 6:22Speaker 1: just like five years ago. I'm sitting in a dark room, crying,
- 6:26Speaker 1: like crying like somebody punched me in my faces something.
- 6:29Speaker 1: And I had a conversation with God and I said,
- 6:31Speaker 1: you know, God, if you can give me something that
- 6:33Speaker 1: the impact and change the world, I tell everybody that
- 6:36Speaker 1: you did it. And that's what happened then I had
- 6:39Speaker 1: to do. That night, I had a dream the rotor
- 6:42Speaker 1: brain was kind of floating in my face, and my dream,
- 6:45Speaker 1: I woke and I grabbed it. When I grabbed it,
- 6:47Speaker 1: I woke up, and I remember I bumped my wife
- 6:49Speaker 1: and said, hey, I think God just showed me something.
- 6:51Speaker 1: She was like, man, I don't care about that wetas man.
- 6:56Speaker 1: So I sketched it up, drew it up, and I
- 7:00Speaker 1: came up with the rotor brain and it was no
- 7:02Speaker 1: awesome experience. Now that's that. Now we all know about
- 7:06Speaker 1: patents because how did that work out? How do you
- 7:08Speaker 1: go through the patent process? Did you hire a lawyer?
- 7:10Speaker 1: Did you do it yourself? How did the patent process
- 7:13Speaker 1: work for you? Because you see a lot of people
- 7:14Speaker 1: on TV call up for nineteen and nine, bring us
- 7:17Speaker 1: your inventor, inventor help. Did you go to inventor help? No? No, no, no,
- 7:22Speaker 1: So what you can do with people don't know. As
- 7:24Speaker 1: long as if you make under a hundred fifty dollars
- 7:27Speaker 1: a year, you can actually do a provisional patent for
- 7:29Speaker 1: sixty five dollars. So you go a provisional pat six
- 7:32Speaker 1: five dollars. It actually holds the patent for a year,
- 7:35Speaker 1: so you can actually take that provisional patent, take the
- 7:38Speaker 1: company and say, look I got the patent on it.
- 7:40Speaker 1: They don't really know, they just always the patent. You
- 7:42Speaker 1: can say, look I got a toy, I got a patent.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Let's talk business. So okay now, But so that sounds simple,
- 7:49Speaker 1: but you're the latest design out. You just couldn't put
- 7:52Speaker 1: it in just description. You have to have to have
- 7:54Speaker 1: some pictures and some some something some symboms of a
- 7:58Speaker 1: design correct. Correct. So what I what I normally do
- 8:02Speaker 1: for how our license a product is this is the
- 8:06Speaker 1: cell I saw that the cheap man's way. Right. You
- 8:08Speaker 1: can always go to fiber, right, and you can find
- 8:12Speaker 1: somebody on fiber from another country, had them sketched this
- 8:15Speaker 1: up for like five or ten dollars. Have them sketched
- 8:18Speaker 1: up for you. We call the sales sheets because you
- 8:21Speaker 1: get the product looking good on the seal sheet. You
- 8:23Speaker 1: can get photoshop, you can have it looking like it's
- 8:25Speaker 1: in Walmart. All this good stuff to impress the company
- 8:28Speaker 1: to make the one to do listens with you. You
- 8:31Speaker 1: can uh, once you put the cell sheet together, you
- 8:34Speaker 1: submitted to different companies act different companies. Hey, I'm a
- 8:37Speaker 1: product developer. I developed this cool product. Can you take
- 8:40Speaker 1: a look at it? And if they decided to go
- 8:42Speaker 1: with you, you can get a license and deal and
- 8:44Speaker 1: based on how the company is in their contract, they
- 8:46Speaker 1: can give you whatever contract they want the percentage. Right.
- 8:49Speaker 1: So now you have the idea of your wife and
- 8:52Speaker 1: told you get out of big because she ain't got
- 8:53Speaker 1: time for all these charts. We've got bills and paid
- 8:56Speaker 1: God and gave you this vision. So you sketch it
- 8:58Speaker 1: out and then you got this comp need it works
- 9:01Speaker 1: on the cheap, but that's how foreign labor here sometimes.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Just set you up and draw and just get everything
- 9:06Speaker 1: out and put it into professional plan. Then you're able
- 9:08Speaker 1: to file that because you make it up a hundred
- 9:10Speaker 1: and fifty dollars for sixty five that will hold that
- 9:14Speaker 1: for a year. Correct? Correct? Okay? Cool? So now I
- 9:18Speaker 1: see this is on Amazon because I did my little research.
- 9:20Speaker 1: You know, in fact, you go you Google is a
- 9:23Speaker 1: nice description pops up about your toy. How long has
- 9:26Speaker 1: it been out and has has the sales met your expectations?
- 9:31Speaker 1: So it took it took about five years to actually
- 9:34Speaker 1: make it because the technology didn't exist so we had
- 9:38Speaker 1: to find engineering company to actually prototype it and make it,
- 9:43Speaker 1: and that that's what took so long. The toy actually
- 9:46Speaker 1: just came out in September, right, Um, and the sales
- 9:48Speaker 1: and the response has been pretty good. We'll be in
- 9:51Speaker 1: a lot of response from different different people, different groups. Um,
- 9:55Speaker 1: and it's been pretty it's been pretty good because it's
- 9:57Speaker 1: not only in Amazon, it's on Walmart, in a couple
- 10:00Speaker 1: of different stories around the world. Well, you know, have
- 10:03Speaker 1: you ever heard of this restaurant called Cracker Barrel. Yes, okay,
- 10:07Speaker 1: Cracker bart You know they got that little game you're
- 10:09Speaker 1: going there with the little sticks. You know, you you
- 10:12Speaker 1: it's almost like tik Tac toe, but it's not tik
- 10:14Speaker 1: tact Man, it'd be great if they if you went
- 10:18Speaker 1: to them and convinced them to replace that little game
- 10:20Speaker 1: that I never played with your with your road or brain,
- 10:24Speaker 1: because it's just like because you know, it's one of
- 10:26Speaker 1: the things you put out there, and you know, people
- 10:28Speaker 1: can compete with each other. I'm just this is why
- 10:31Speaker 1: I'm a marketing person. I know how to brand and
- 10:33Speaker 1: get the ideas out there. All I know is that
- 10:36Speaker 1: at Cracker Barrel, which I love, they they have become pancake.
- 10:39Speaker 1: That's my thing. I got for the Pickcon pancakes and
- 10:41Speaker 1: the free I'm not standing cracker barrel Man today. The
- 10:44Speaker 1: food candadasty. Oh see see you can't see right there.
- 10:47Speaker 1: See how are you gonna get out there? See you
- 10:49Speaker 1: know I'm ain't going there, ain't cracking food. Now. I'm
- 10:52Speaker 1: talking about the product of getting your stuff in there.
- 10:55Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about. If you know what I'm
- 10:57Speaker 1: talking about, is that you know these different restaurants and
- 10:59Speaker 1: they're different brands, and your diversity, You're diverse, okay, and
- 11:03Speaker 1: so like if you go to Denny's then it's got
- 11:06Speaker 1: those little drawings with their little kids and they give
- 11:09Speaker 1: them crayons and things like that so they can keep
- 11:11Speaker 1: them busy. I'm just saying, is that your product is
- 11:15Speaker 1: so interesting and so entertaining. That's a good way of
- 11:18Speaker 1: getting it out into the marketplace and start gaining interest
- 11:21Speaker 1: out there. Unless you have another marketing plan that you
- 11:23Speaker 1: want to reveal to me on the show that you
- 11:25Speaker 1: are just gonna make your products just go to the
- 11:27Speaker 1: next level like roopers Q. Oh yeah. So the company
- 11:32Speaker 1: that that actually licensed the roller Brain and we're working
- 11:35Speaker 1: together as a partnership. They kind of they got things
- 11:38Speaker 1: set up. I know it's a it's a reality series
- 11:42Speaker 1: that's in Canada that's actually supposed to be featuring the
- 11:46Speaker 1: roller Brain and a little competition and things like that.
- 11:49Speaker 1: So no, we we we got a plan and this
- 11:52Speaker 1: is working pretty good. And you know, it takes some
- 11:54Speaker 1: time too, because it is a new product. People are
- 11:56Speaker 1: so used to the root Excube. That's kind of it's
- 11:59Speaker 1: kind hard to to break that market because everybody is
- 12:02Speaker 1: so used to Upcie Roots who being out for what
- 12:05Speaker 1: forties forties some plus years a long time. So we
- 12:09Speaker 1: kind of that's our biggest competition, rubig see, so we
- 12:12Speaker 1: got to take all those people and bring them over us.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Let me ask you this, now, you know that's your competition.
- 12:18Speaker 1: It's just like McDonald's. You know McDonald's has a hamburger Burger,
- 12:21Speaker 1: he has a hamburger, and then Chick fil A came
- 12:23Speaker 1: out with a chicken sandwich, and then Pop Eyes came
- 12:26Speaker 1: out with their chicken sandwich. So that's all competition. And
- 12:30Speaker 1: what what what do you believe that's different from your
- 12:33Speaker 1: brand that you need to tell people about so they
- 12:36Speaker 1: can either start playing your your Rodeo Brain or they say, Man,
- 12:42Speaker 1: this this way better than Ruby Q. Let's go do this.
- 12:48Speaker 1: The biggest thing I tell tell the company is social media. Uh.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Social media is the biggest platform YouTube, Instagram. Uh. That's
- 12:58Speaker 1: where we're trying to build the market at right now
- 13:00Speaker 1: to gain the followers, uh, to to expand the brand. Um.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Right now, it's just kind of word of mouth. And
- 13:08Speaker 1: you know, I'm fighting back and forth with the company
- 13:11Speaker 1: trying to get them to expand and do some different things.
- 13:13Speaker 1: But they kind of got to the lock and key
- 13:16Speaker 1: with it with with how do you want to do
- 13:18Speaker 1: the marketing? Right? So with they're being saying, so have
- 13:21Speaker 1: you guys started any online contest yet about the Rodeo
- 13:26Speaker 1: Brain contests right now? That's all I was talking about.
- 13:29Speaker 1: With the reality series that's in Kindada right now, they're
- 13:32Speaker 1: doing some type of set up right now where they're
- 13:34Speaker 1: trying to broadcasting like that where it's gonna be a
- 13:38Speaker 1: competition to to bring it more people, to bring it
- 13:40Speaker 1: more views and have more eyes on it. It's finally
- 13:43Speaker 1: here the season of celebration, and no matter how you
- 13:47Speaker 1: celebrate with family and friends, whether you're preparing for reys
- 13:50Speaker 1: magos or Karamu lighting, the Manura are going to midnight mass.

- 13:58Speaker 1: plus you'll finds for all your loved ones. Send warm

- 14:18Speaker 1: And in the spirit of giving, Coals Cares is donating

- 15:38Speaker 1: E R dot ai. So so right now this company
- 15:43Speaker 1: and how did their relationship with the company start? Just
- 15:45Speaker 1: to list to other entrepreneurs who have ideas and like
- 15:48Speaker 1: I said, you know when you you know, everybody wants
- 15:50Speaker 1: the product to just blow out, just blow up, okay now,
- 15:54Speaker 1: but you want to have a person they believes in it.
- 15:56Speaker 1: So this was an investor in the company came in.
- 15:58Speaker 1: They believed in your product. The rothal brain, and the
- 16:01Speaker 1: rotal brain is like a Ruby's que type product. Where
- 16:04Speaker 1: like the Rupe's que enhances your humanity, memory, critical thinking,
- 16:08Speaker 1: and will test your i Q. That's the value of
- 16:10Speaker 1: the Ruby's que. The value of the rothal brain is
- 16:14Speaker 1: that you can keep changing your codes so you're not
- 16:17Speaker 1: trapped at the same ruby Q. So once you mask
- 16:20Speaker 1: the ruby Q, it's mastered. Okay, the rothal brain it
- 16:24Speaker 1: can keep. You can change your code and guess what,
- 16:27Speaker 1: you master that code, change your code to another code.
- 16:30Speaker 1: That's the beauty of the rothal brain. How have I
- 16:31Speaker 1: figured it out yet? Yes, sir, never stop stop, right
- 16:36Speaker 1: And so with that being said, what's next step for you? Man?
- 16:39Speaker 1: I know you're not tied to just one one one invention.
- 16:43Speaker 1: You got a lot of startups going on. Tell us
- 16:45Speaker 1: about the future story. I'm also an author to I
- 16:48Speaker 1: wrote the book based on some past experiences with my
- 16:51Speaker 1: son's mother. It's called Baby Wama Drama, the Drama. And
- 16:57Speaker 1: it's not a book that's the Great Woman anything like that,
- 17:00Speaker 1: you know go through of course, First of all, Baby
- 17:04Speaker 1: Mama Drama. That title right there, You got me chuckling
- 17:08Speaker 1: right there. Okay, So so know that you and jump
- 17:10Speaker 1: from enhancing your memory, memory, critical thinking and testing your
- 17:15Speaker 1: I Q too, Baby Mama Drama. You know what it's
- 17:17Speaker 1: like here and there. Okay, So now this is a
- 17:21Speaker 1: brand conversation. Now, okay, I understand it's a it's a
- 17:25Speaker 1: personal journey. So how can a guy be talking about
- 17:29Speaker 1: rupis Q type design style and in the rotal brain
- 17:32Speaker 1: and then turn around and say, I'm also the author
- 17:35Speaker 1: of Baby Mama Drama. It was something that uh, you know,
- 17:42Speaker 1: I followed Dr Masma Row, the late grade Dr mos Row,
- 17:45Speaker 1: and he always said, when anything, anytime something bothers you,
- 17:49Speaker 1: the only person that's bothered by it, and that's God
- 17:52Speaker 1: telling you should do something about it. I always wanted
- 17:54Speaker 1: to write a book, even while I was inventing and
- 17:55Speaker 1: creating stuff and trying to license products. Are always was
- 17:59Speaker 1: a writer and the author too. So it's kind of
- 18:02Speaker 1: this was time for me to put the book out
- 18:04Speaker 1: and put the toy out. There's having to come out
- 18:06Speaker 1: at the same time. So you got the mama's mad
- 18:10Speaker 1: at you and confused kids. So so tell us about
- 18:16Speaker 1: the book, man. You know you have brought it up
- 18:18Speaker 1: Baby Mama Drama. Y'all. Sorry, it's right over your head
- 18:21Speaker 1: right there. I was just gonna talk about the rodeo brain.
- 18:23Speaker 1: But you brought up the Baby Mama Drama book. Tell
- 18:25Speaker 1: us okay, okay, how long was this book in the
- 18:28Speaker 1: writing and who helped you writeing? Uh, my wife is
- 18:33Speaker 1: a writer too, over too, so you know she helped
- 18:37Speaker 1: me know with the time to write the book. And
- 18:39Speaker 1: he sat down, went through some some past experiences and
- 18:44Speaker 1: we we we chopped it up and we dropped the
- 18:48Speaker 1: book out and and it's out here. Man, Now, how
- 18:52Speaker 1: are you promoting it? Because I'm assuming this came out
- 18:55Speaker 1: and there you you you you finished writing it and
- 18:58Speaker 1: during the pandemic year which is twenty in it and
- 19:00Speaker 1: it didn't come out this fall? And what is your
- 19:02Speaker 1: promotional plan for that? And what message are you trying
- 19:05Speaker 1: to create new? What just called Baby Mama Drama? Is
- 19:10Speaker 1: that a book that's going to be to find men
- 19:12Speaker 1: for men to read or women can find interest and
- 19:15Speaker 1: information out of it for them to be uplifted from
- 19:18Speaker 1: about this. It's a book. It's a book for both
- 19:20Speaker 1: men and women. It's not a book like I said
- 19:22Speaker 1: that that The Greatest Woman is actually just a book
- 19:25Speaker 1: like to me, and what I believe is guys never
- 19:28Speaker 1: had the opportunity to to have anybody to talk to
- 19:32Speaker 1: about situations with their kids mother, whether it's good or that.
- 19:35Speaker 1: It's just always like we're always told, hey, just take
- 19:38Speaker 1: care your kids. So we never had nobody to talk to,
- 19:41Speaker 1: no outletting. Um. So when I wrote the book, it's
- 19:45Speaker 1: just some personal experiences that just my struggles and my
- 19:49Speaker 1: opinions on how you can deal with the situation. Right now,
- 19:52Speaker 1: with that being said, did they are in positive for you?
- 19:56Speaker 1: Are you still struggling with the baby mama drama situation? No? No,
- 20:00Speaker 1: So my son, my son is fourteen right now. In
- 20:03Speaker 1: the beginning, like I said, the books, how the book
- 20:05Speaker 1: is written in the beginning, of course, it's all bad,
- 20:07Speaker 1: but as you grow and you learn, you know, the
- 20:09Speaker 1: situations gets better. So and that's a lot of things.
- 20:11Speaker 1: And that's that's what the book is about. It's helping
- 20:14Speaker 1: guys in those situations that are in bad situations that
- 20:17Speaker 1: help them learn how to deal with them so they
- 20:20Speaker 1: don't go no to the or get worse. Get your stream.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Give us an example of what you're talking about from
- 20:26Speaker 1: your book, an extremely an example of guys being even
- 20:29Speaker 1: guided by your book that can follow some advice, they
- 20:32Speaker 1: won't let them step off to the ledge and do
- 20:34Speaker 1: something stupid, or react to something stupid and embarrass themselves
- 20:38Speaker 1: in front of their child, or create a relationship where
- 20:41Speaker 1: they walk away from their child. All right. So it's
- 20:45Speaker 1: a chapter in my book that I called it's called
- 20:47Speaker 1: Barriers setting barriers. So like in this in this chapter
- 20:52Speaker 1: talks about how my kids mother used to call me
- 20:56Speaker 1: just random times and talk about random stuff all different
- 21:00Speaker 1: times in the night, you know, And because the relationship
- 21:05Speaker 1: with you right there to say, hey, you gotta you
- 21:08Speaker 1: gotta learn how to tell her note right to her, Look,
- 21:10Speaker 1: you only can call me at this time because you
- 21:12Speaker 1: have to set barriers, like if you if you're married,
- 21:14Speaker 1: I have a girlfriend and somebody call you a little knight,
- 21:16Speaker 1: that can cost confusing in your house. Absolutely. So I
- 21:19Speaker 1: was teaching guys, hey, learn how to talk to her
- 21:22Speaker 1: in the professional, nice Curtius way so you know it
- 21:25Speaker 1: won't be no bickering, right and learn and grow from that.
- 21:28Speaker 1: So she was still tying up your time like y'all
- 21:31Speaker 1: were still in the relationship. So that night, Hey the
- 21:37Speaker 1: pipe boat bro o, Hey I need some food. Hey
- 21:42Speaker 1: the grassneed cutting. Hey the plumber ain't working. Hey the
- 21:46Speaker 1: lights ain't on. Hey, I got a flat tie. He
- 21:49Speaker 1: ain't more food in the refrigerator. All that man's all
- 21:52Speaker 1: that madness, right or calling, yelling, being mad at my son.
- 21:57Speaker 1: This boy up two o'clock in the morning playing video
- 21:59Speaker 1: game is I'm like, but you you stay with you
- 22:02Speaker 1: right right, right right. But you know that I can
- 22:07Speaker 1: understand the calling about that because sometimes you gotta you
- 22:09Speaker 1: gotta step up the volume. And men have a difference.
- 22:12Speaker 1: But that's why it's important to have to keep that
- 22:14Speaker 1: parental structure, you know. That's why it's important that you know,
- 22:17Speaker 1: if two there's two people made that child, two people
- 22:20Speaker 1: should raise that child. And that situation is that I'm
- 22:23Speaker 1: not mad, you know, because I have a daughter and
- 22:25Speaker 1: my wife. Sometimes my daughters, you go, I can't, I can't.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I can't get through her. I can't get through to her,
- 22:30Speaker 1: talk to her. I go and I go and do
- 22:33Speaker 1: and I just say, what's wrong? Baby? Do you not
- 22:35Speaker 1: listen to your mama today? What's going on in your
- 22:40Speaker 1: mama down stairs? You know she's on fire because you're
- 22:43Speaker 1: gonna get up by this room and do what, yes,
- 22:45Speaker 1: you do, what's going on? And so just a goof conversation,
- 22:49Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying, that's that's all your that's all
- 22:52Speaker 1: your ex wife is telling you. Look some things because
- 22:55Speaker 1: my because I speak things out, my wife, she wants
- 22:58Speaker 1: immediate reaction, you know. And I would explain to you
- 23:02Speaker 1: what I want you to do. That's why that's the
- 23:03Speaker 1: difference between my wife and I when it comes to
- 23:05Speaker 1: our child. I go, I go to I go to
- 23:08Speaker 1: my daughters to look. I need you do downstairs. And
- 23:10Speaker 1: this is why I need you to go downstairs. My
- 23:12Speaker 1: wife would go, I need to come downstairs and wash
- 23:14Speaker 1: the dishes. Okay, as a parent, you can do that, Okay,
- 23:19Speaker 1: But I go, look, hey, baby, okay, you enjoy eating
- 23:22Speaker 1: in the house, right yes, daddy? Okay, cool, when you're
- 23:26Speaker 1: eating the house, there are certain things that need to
- 23:28Speaker 1: be done to continue eating in the house. Yes, daddy.
- 23:32Speaker 1: That means you have to wash the dishes. You understand
- 23:34Speaker 1: the logic, right now, baby, don't you? Yes, daddy? And
- 23:37Speaker 1: she goes downstairs. See that's a that's a conversation that
- 23:40Speaker 1: she understands. Because if she doesn't, if you don't watch
- 23:43Speaker 1: them dishes, guess what's gonna happen there, Corey, She's gonna
- 23:45Speaker 1: stop eating in my house. She got you gotta make
- 23:50Speaker 1: it make sense. That That's why I tell my son,
- 23:52Speaker 1: make it makes sense. Just go downstairs and watch the dishes.
- 23:56Speaker 1: My done dollar all up in fire. She's gonna keep
- 23:58Speaker 1: playing that video game. I got school? Okay, cool? Guess
- 24:01Speaker 1: what if daddy don't pay for the school work to
- 24:04Speaker 1: keep paying at the school. Guess who's gonna stop going
- 24:07Speaker 1: to school? Me? That absolutely? I think you need to
- 24:09Speaker 1: watch those dishests just to just to stand the conversation.
- 24:12Speaker 1: So in the book, so the book Baby Mama Drama
- 24:15Speaker 1: that was that was a co author. I want to say,
- 24:17Speaker 1: by you, by your wife, what do they what are you?
- 24:20Speaker 1: Are you? I know it's COVID nineteen and you can't
- 24:22Speaker 1: do any book tours or are you doing any any
- 24:25Speaker 1: any virtual tours or anything like that? What are you
- 24:28Speaker 1: doing to market the book right now? Just I do
- 24:32Speaker 1: a lot of marketing, a lot of social media, do
- 24:35Speaker 1: a lot of live videos. But like you said, what
- 24:39Speaker 1: the octovid is and how COVID got everything locked up?
- 24:41Speaker 1: It's really nothing right. Well, you know the thing about
- 24:45Speaker 1: this is that I like the I'll be honest with
- 24:48Speaker 1: your title doesn't really tell you the truth. Because baby
- 24:51Speaker 1: Mama drama. It does sound negative, Okay, I'm just be
- 24:55Speaker 1: honest with you, but what you're talking about is real positive.
- 24:58Speaker 1: It's about communication. And also I like what you're talking
- 25:02Speaker 1: about is the fact that co parenting the right way
- 25:06Speaker 1: and like you said, sitting barriers. So so send me
- 25:09Speaker 1: a copy of that book and so I can read
- 25:10Speaker 1: it and I bring it back on the show when
- 25:12Speaker 1: I know what's going on. So I can because I
- 25:14Speaker 1: read all books that when people come on my show,
- 25:16Speaker 1: I read their book. Okay, So to the copy of
- 25:19Speaker 1: your book to me so I can bring you on
- 25:20Speaker 1: back on the show reading this book. Okay, what I'm
- 25:22Speaker 1: gonna do with in this interview, I'm just gonna just
- 25:25Speaker 1: do the interview on the roadal brain, and then I'm
- 25:27Speaker 1: gonna cut this part out and I'm gonna bring you
- 25:29Speaker 1: back on the show about your book. Is that cool?
- 25:32Speaker 1: That's cool? That's cool. Yeah, because I don't like to
- 25:34Speaker 1: the my staff. No. I I read books, you know,
- 25:37Speaker 1: and I like to be in tune and be able
- 25:39Speaker 1: to help you get to your message. So it could
- 25:41Speaker 1: be sold to the general public, and that would be
- 25:43Speaker 1: only favorable to that. I didn't expect to talk about
- 25:46Speaker 1: it during this interview because I was just talking about
- 25:48Speaker 1: the Rodal Brain, because I would never interview you about
- 25:51Speaker 1: the book I've never read. That's not fair to you. Okay,
- 25:55Speaker 1: that's cool. So so tell us how to buy this
- 25:57Speaker 1: Rodal Brain, sir. So yeah, man, the roller Brain. Man,
- 26:02Speaker 1: is this next level game? And man, next level? Fund Um.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I think it's gonna blow any puzzle toy out the water.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Um Um. I love it. It's the best thing I
- 26:14Speaker 1: ever created. Man, Um. I gotta get guy his credit.
- 26:17Speaker 1: It wasn't for him then, this thing we've never been
- 26:20Speaker 1: uh in existence. Um. Always tell people I borrowed it
- 26:23Speaker 1: from God, pray and asking forward and he let me
- 26:26Speaker 1: borrow it. So I'm showing the world what's your what's
- 26:28Speaker 1: your education background on this U that led you to this?
- 26:33Speaker 1: Do you did you go to college or what? What's
- 26:34Speaker 1: your background? Technically no, I'm saying that's that's the thing.
- 26:37Speaker 1: My my gift was was always creativity as a kid,
- 26:41Speaker 1: as a youth growing up, I was that kid, right,
- 26:44Speaker 1: So my mom used to buy me Christmas toys, right,
- 26:47Speaker 1: I don't care what she bought me. I always took
- 26:50Speaker 1: her apart, right, I mean, I just told him myself.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I don't even know this about this. I'm growing now.
- 26:54Speaker 1: But Mom, sorry, but all the toys she ever bought me,
- 26:57Speaker 1: I always took him apart. I was always interested it
- 27:00Speaker 1: in the way toys worked. So my gift has always
- 27:05Speaker 1: been creativity and inventing. My background education was apply science.
- 27:09Speaker 1: But no, this has nothing to do with sciences. This
- 27:14Speaker 1: engineering and UH and the mechanics. I guess well, it's
- 27:18Speaker 1: it's it's a it's a fun movie that's on Netflix
- 27:21Speaker 1: right now. Only if you called it called a jingle jangle.
- 27:24Speaker 1: The Christmas story Christmas Journey is about a black inventor.
- 27:28Speaker 1: You know, if you haven't watched it, please watch it.
- 27:30Speaker 1: You're gotta get a get a big kick out of it.
- 27:31Speaker 1: It's just kind of reminds me of you, a talented
- 27:34Speaker 1: young man who has skills and UH and and changing
- 27:38Speaker 1: is going to change the world. There's no doubt in
- 27:40Speaker 1: my mind that you're going to be successful at what
- 27:42Speaker 1: you do. There's no doubt in my mind that this
- 27:44Speaker 1: is a fantastic uh toy that you've created. We call
- 27:47Speaker 1: it a toy, but it's beyond being a toy. It's
- 27:50Speaker 1: it's a it's a it's it enhances your memory, enhances
- 27:53Speaker 1: your critical thinking, which is good for anything. I remember
- 27:55Speaker 1: when I was in the band. By being in the band,
- 27:58Speaker 1: it always helped my memory by being and they're playing
- 28:00Speaker 1: an instrument, and I feel that by playing their tard
- 28:03Speaker 1: and can help your memory, your decision makers just decision maker,
- 28:07Speaker 1: and more importantly, it can test your i Q and
- 28:09Speaker 1: get it up there. And that's what we're all trying
- 28:11Speaker 1: to do it nowadays, especially within the black community, but
- 28:13Speaker 1: just towards not strictly for the black community, it's for
- 28:16Speaker 1: the community general. And I'm wanna thank you for coming
- 28:18Speaker 1: on my show. Core. I appreciate that. I appreciate you
- 28:21Speaker 1: having me. Well guess what, we're gonna come back, because
- 28:23Speaker 1: we're gonna get that book out of here and I'm
- 28:25Speaker 1: gonna read it and we're gonna first in January. We're
- 28:27Speaker 1: gonna change some lives in the first quarters, all right
- 28:29Speaker 1: with you? Sound like they're playing to me. All right,
- 28:32Speaker 1: Thank you, man, Stay stay warm if you can. And
- 28:35Speaker 1: Wayne Michigan, I don't know that you got telling. I've
