- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all have a sun giving them like a
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in it to me, good to mother? Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join jo. Do you turn? You gotta turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: to turn them out. Turn, you got to turn them out,
- 1:46Speaker 1: turning water the water go. Come come on your thing,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I shore will good morning everybody you are listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me nah one and only
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man, oh man, oh man.
- 2:15Speaker 1: You know what, y'all? I mean, really, the goodness of
- 2:18Speaker 1: God is overwhelming if you think about it. I mean,
- 2:22Speaker 1: really really think about it, even when your circumstance doesn't
- 2:28Speaker 1: look so bright, even when you're going through something that's
- 2:31Speaker 1: causing you discomfort, pain, Even in that, God's goodness is
- 2:39Speaker 1: actually overwhelming, because don't forget why you're going through this moment.
- 2:46Speaker 1: First of all, this too shall pass. But also secondly,
- 2:49Speaker 1: remember man, ain't everything else that you've gone through that
- 2:54Speaker 1: seems so insurmountable at the time, didn't you get past
- 2:58Speaker 1: that too? I mean, it's amazing. If you really think
- 3:03Speaker 1: about it, you don't get stuck on any one issue
- 3:07Speaker 1: your whole life. The only people that get stuck on
- 3:10Speaker 1: an issue. They whole life is people who won't let
- 3:13Speaker 1: it go. That's really all it is. That are people
- 3:17Speaker 1: who exist, and you may be one of them. Oh please, No,
- 3:21Speaker 1: I've been guilty of it myself before. But I learned
- 3:25Speaker 1: something that are things in my past that I just
- 3:28Speaker 1: would not let go of. It was done, it was
- 3:32Speaker 1: over with. I was past it, but I would not
- 3:36Speaker 1: let go of it. It was over. The dude that
- 3:40Speaker 1: did it to me didn't exist no more. The problem
- 3:43Speaker 1: that it created didn't exist no more. The only problem
- 3:45Speaker 1: that kept hanging on was I would not let it go.
- 3:50Speaker 1: And man, you can't go forward if you're gonna keep
- 3:54Speaker 1: looking in the past. It's an impossible thing. It's like
- 3:59Speaker 1: driving a car. If you keep looking only in the
- 4:02Speaker 1: rearview mirror while you're driving, you're going to crash pretty soon.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And a lot of people just keep crashing over and
- 4:10Speaker 1: over and over and over because you won't drive your
- 4:14Speaker 1: car you keep looking in the rearview mirror at the past.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Oh woe is me? Oh you know they did me
- 4:21Speaker 1: like that? You know, I ain't been the same since
- 4:23Speaker 1: he cheated on me. Oh man, ever since she stole
- 4:26Speaker 1: my money, I ain't been the same man. She played
- 4:30Speaker 1: me and ever since that out and treated women differently.
- 4:33Speaker 1: You may have some deeper stuff going on like but eventually,
- 4:36Speaker 1: guess what, do you understand that when you have relationship
- 4:40Speaker 1: God with God, you can take that to him too
- 4:43Speaker 1: and drop it off and leave it there. Do you
- 4:47Speaker 1: know that he can fix and heal that. Maybe it's
- 4:51Speaker 1: something serious like that that you need fixing or healing from,
- 4:54Speaker 1: a relationship with God can fix and heal that. But man,
- 5:00Speaker 1: come on, y'all, whatever it is, and I'm not trying
- 5:03Speaker 1: to downplay it or make it act like it wasn't
- 5:06Speaker 1: traumatic in your life, because oh God, you don't want
- 5:09Speaker 1: to you know, you don't want nobody do that to
- 5:10Speaker 1: you because you want to be the you know, the
- 5:13Speaker 1: post to child for misery. So please don't let me
- 5:17Speaker 1: take that from you. If that's your position, that's your
- 5:20Speaker 1: Hall of Fame card you hanging on too, I'm the
- 5:23Speaker 1: post to child for misery. Oh no one is more
- 5:27Speaker 1: woe than me. Then please don't let Steve try to
- 5:30Speaker 1: take that from you. You go ahead and hang on
- 5:32Speaker 1: to that, But let me tell you something though. If
- 5:35Speaker 1: that's what you're gonna hang on to. That's what You're
- 5:37Speaker 1: gonna always be the post to child for misery. At
- 5:41Speaker 1: one point in time, you're gonna have to get on
- 5:42Speaker 1: the move past it. You can sometimes, man, it's merely
- 5:46Speaker 1: a simple thing of taking it to God and leaving
- 5:48Speaker 1: it there. You know, some people don't have money for therapy.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Some people don't even know who to call for therapy.
- 5:56Speaker 1: God is the best psychologist in the world. He can
- 6:00Speaker 1: fix it for you. There is nothing too hard for God.
- 6:04Speaker 1: You know when something seems impossible, y'all. God does the
- 6:07Speaker 1: impossible all the time every day. You don't know how
- 6:11Speaker 1: I know. I just look at a couple of basic things.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Do you know that that sun comes up every day
- 6:16Speaker 1: in the morning. It comes up in the east and
- 6:19Speaker 1: it sets in the west. You can't do nothing about that.
- 6:23Speaker 1: All you can wish because you plant your flowers on
- 6:26Speaker 1: a certain side of your house. You can wish y'all
- 6:28Speaker 1: all you want. Then maybe one day he would bring
- 6:30Speaker 1: it up out the northwest so those flowers would namp.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Now it's gonna come up out the ease, and once
- 6:37Speaker 1: the sun hits the horizon when you look in the water,
- 6:40Speaker 1: like if you ever out in la and you see
- 6:42Speaker 1: the sun going down. Once the sun. Once you can
- 6:45Speaker 1: visually see the sun touching the horizon, you have three minutes.
- 6:50Speaker 1: You have exactly three minutes. You can sit there with
- 6:52Speaker 1: your watch. You can time you're three minutes and it's gone.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Three minutes, it's gone. I read that somewhere and then
- 6:59Speaker 1: I went and tried it. It's gone every day if
- 7:03Speaker 1: if it's clear enough, not cloudy. Once the sun touches
- 7:07Speaker 1: the horizon. On water, you got three minutes. When the
- 7:11Speaker 1: wind blows, you can't do nothing about it. He can
- 7:14Speaker 1: bring it from the northeast, he can bring him from
- 7:16Speaker 1: the west, he can bring from the south. He can
- 7:18Speaker 1: bring it hard, he can bring it cool, he can
- 7:20Speaker 1: bring it hot. It's certain things that God, God does
- 7:23Speaker 1: the impossible all the time. How those stars sitting up there?
- 7:27Speaker 1: How how can you find these constellations? The Big Dipper,
- 7:30Speaker 1: a little dip of Ryan the Hunter. Oh that's God.
- 7:33Speaker 1: That's got nothing you can do about it. You can't
- 7:36Speaker 1: reach them stars, you can't shoot at them, you can't
- 7:38Speaker 1: move them out the way, or Ryan the Hunter's belt
- 7:41Speaker 1: is gonna beat them three stars out of angle. You
- 7:43Speaker 1: can you can, you can call it what you want
- 7:44Speaker 1: to call it's still That's what it is. See, He
- 7:46Speaker 1: does the impossible all the time. He created heaven and earth.
- 7:51Speaker 1: You're saying that God can't get you through your past.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Somebody did this to me. It's the worst thing I had,
- 7:58Speaker 1: the worst childhood of anybody. God can't get you pass that.
- 8:02Speaker 1: He can move heaven, mountains, Earth, he can form the
- 8:06Speaker 1: Grand Canyon, he can make the water come over Niagara
- 8:09Speaker 1: Falls twenty four seven. He can't fix your little bitty
- 8:14Speaker 1: pass yours. It's amazing how people make their problems bigger
- 8:19Speaker 1: than God. Somebody told me one time, stop telling God
- 8:24Speaker 1: how big your problems are, and start telling your problems
- 8:29Speaker 1: how big God is, and go on with your life.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Quit driving your car looking in the rear view mirror.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Ain't nothing back there but your pass. And if it
- 8:40Speaker 1: was hurtful or painful, or something you just felt like
- 8:43Speaker 1: you can't get over, take your problems to God and
- 8:46Speaker 1: leave them there. You hear the old spiritual all you've
- 8:48Speaker 1: heard it, take your burdens to the Lord, leave them
- 8:52Speaker 1: yet all time. But you think that applies to everyone.
- 8:55Speaker 1: But you come on, man, and a lot of people
- 8:59Speaker 1: out there going much worse than you. Have and have
- 9:02Speaker 1: overcome it all. Why won't you take the step to
- 9:05Speaker 1: overcome your pass so you can get on with driving
- 9:08Speaker 1: your car? See what God trying to take you. But
- 9:10Speaker 1: it's a trick of the enemy. The enemy tricks you
- 9:14Speaker 1: from seeing your future by having you constantly looking in
- 9:17Speaker 1: your pass. Man, it's a trick of the devil. If
- 9:20Speaker 1: the devil just lets you quit, if he would just
- 9:23Speaker 1: let you get to driving your car, look out into
- 9:26Speaker 1: your future. Your future shows hopefulness. You have hope when
- 9:31Speaker 1: you see the future. But he can keep you in
- 9:34Speaker 1: misery if he keep you looking at your miserable pass.
- 9:38Speaker 1: God looking for you, man, God would love to hear
- 9:41Speaker 1: from you. Let's spend some time talking to God today. Hey,
- 9:45Speaker 1: God was having it. It's me. I know I ain't
- 9:48Speaker 1: talked to you in a while, but feel bad about that.
- 9:51Speaker 1: But I need you. He know that. Everybody should say
- 9:55Speaker 1: that prayer all the time. It's cool, all right, sty
- 10:00Speaker 1: Morning show, ladies and gentlemen. Right now, it's morning time,
- 10:06Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, Morning Show, us alive and upon us. I'm
- 10:09Speaker 1: awful glad to be here today. I'm glad you joined
- 10:11Speaker 1: us this morning. We gotta going for you today. So

- 10:16Speaker 1: it on. Marvin Gay, Shot Strawberry, Hey, good morning, Steve.

- 10:40Speaker 1: what's up, Junior? Come morning? Ain't no woman like the
- 10:46Speaker 1: one I got? Nephew, tell oh, no woman like the
- 10:52Speaker 1: one I got? You can't say him do. Let's just
- 10:56Speaker 1: I can try something seven? All right, now there's abody
- 11:02Speaker 1: doing it? Man, good good? Yeah. I said one more,
- 11:13Speaker 1: one more time. It's all I god, I said one more,
- 11:26Speaker 1: one more damn time. If you ask for another, you
- 11:35Speaker 1: lost your man. I ain't got but one more damn time.
- 11:44Speaker 1: That's that just made that up there like that perfect
- 11:47Speaker 1: Oh man, that that didn't know you know, hey, man,
- 11:52Speaker 1: you don't know. Roscolle Wallace goes so many years any
- 11:56Speaker 1: you know, man, Roscolle Wallace And I talked to him
- 11:58Speaker 1: another day. Man, He asked he hadn't been on the show.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I told us a call and hate you so with
- 12:04Speaker 1: the passion, you don't mean to come on dog call
- 12:08Speaker 1: and hate you real? But he said he didn't understanding
- 12:11Speaker 1: that heat. You know. I told him he can come
- 12:14Speaker 1: on the mar You want to come on the Marrow?
- 12:16Speaker 1: Oh you can't come on. I don't know man. I
- 12:17Speaker 1: just asked him. I talked to him. I let him
- 12:19Speaker 1: know him. Man, okay, chop it up with him. Let
- 12:22Speaker 1: me note a couple of people and asked about coming
- 12:26Speaker 1: on the show. Our schools up said he hadn't been on. Pimpant.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I want to know how I come he can't do
- 12:32Speaker 1: the NBA Playoffs, I told pimplecause it was too hot outside.
- 12:36Speaker 1: All the fur coaching stuff, you know, you know, we
- 12:39Speaker 1: don't want to lose him. I told Pimpant myself caller,
- 12:44Speaker 1: all the fur coaching coach made out of lunch meeting,
- 12:47Speaker 1: all this you be wearing, you know, we in your mask,
- 12:51Speaker 1: you know, all of all ass clothes. Oh you know
- 12:54Speaker 1: all his mask. Lady God gotta get her mink address
- 12:58Speaker 1: idea from pimpany. No, but she got that meat dress
- 13:02Speaker 1: from here, That's what I'm saying. Did she get up
- 13:04Speaker 1: from from Pimper because he had a jacket made out
- 13:07Speaker 1: of belogny one time? Yeah, so she wasn't original with it.
- 13:11Speaker 1: She wasn't and he even had it made out with
- 13:14Speaker 1: the red ribbon strips on it. Woos you just get junior.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Junior Pimper wants to know when he can come in
- 13:26Speaker 1: on sports with Oh, you know, we can do it, Pempen,
- 13:29Speaker 1: we can do that tomorrow. All right, I talked to him. Yeah,
- 13:32Speaker 1: we're talking about all right. You don't know until you ask.
- 13:36Speaker 1: All right, coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:38Speaker 1: we'll ask the CLO Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in
- 13:42Speaker 1: the building right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. Social justice
- 13:50Speaker 1: leader Until Freedom co founder, civil rights activist and author
- 13:55Speaker 1: Tamika D. Mallory will be our special guest. That's at
- 13:58Speaker 1: the top of the hour. We can and not wait
- 14:00Speaker 1: to talk to her right now, Yeah, right now. She's
- 14:03Speaker 1: got a brand new book out and everything. It's time
- 14:07Speaker 1: to start the show off with Ask the CLO. Steve
- 14:10Speaker 1: Harvey is our Chief Love Officer. This one is from
- 14:14Speaker 1: Melanie in Canada. Melanie writes, I'm thirty seven years old
- 14:19Speaker 1: and I'm dating a forty year old man that I
- 14:22Speaker 1: met online. We've been together for a few months and
- 14:25Speaker 1: we're both over the dating bs and ready to get married.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Because of that, he's brutal leanness to the point where
- 14:31Speaker 1: it's offensive to me. For example, on our first date,
- 14:36Speaker 1: he said my breath was stinky, he said my cooking
- 14:40Speaker 1: needs work, and he's told me I'm a terrible driver.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I know he's got to truly like me, because if
- 14:46Speaker 1: he didn't, he would tell me, is this an acceptable
- 14:49Speaker 1: way to get to know someone or not at all?
- 14:55Speaker 1: I don't know where you got all this love from
- 14:58Speaker 1: your breath? Stink, can't cook in your ass? He don't
- 15:01Speaker 1: like your drive. That's the beginning any and as you
- 15:06Speaker 1: getting married, that list go. Bro. I'm just here to
- 15:09Speaker 1: tell So if I were you this old, were in love,
- 15:12Speaker 1: I would you know we're over the dating game. It's
- 15:15Speaker 1: only been how long, chilly? Oh yeah, Just listen, lady,
- 15:21Speaker 1: you don't even notice man. A few months is not
- 15:24Speaker 1: in those time. Now, he's brutally honest. What's what's behind
- 15:29Speaker 1: that brutal honesty? What? What? What else is brutal? I'm like, yeah,
- 15:34Speaker 1: you know, so if I were you, I would spend
- 15:36Speaker 1: a little bit more time getting to notice man, because
- 15:39Speaker 1: if he this quick to be this harsh with you,
- 15:43Speaker 1: wait till something's wrong. I don't that don't sound like
- 15:47Speaker 1: you have it? Yeah, their first date, he only said
- 15:54Speaker 1: it one time, according to her, Tierra and Culver City, California, says,
- 15:58Speaker 1: I'm in my mid thirties and I've been with a
- 16:00Speaker 1: great guy for a few months. I'm into polyamory, and
- 16:05Speaker 1: my best friend and I are lovers too, but my
- 16:07Speaker 1: man doesn't know it yet. She got me into the
- 16:10Speaker 1: lifestyle and now I basically recruit guys for her pleasure
- 16:14Speaker 1: and mine. For the first time in a long time,
- 16:17Speaker 1: I have a guy that I really like. Should I
- 16:19Speaker 1: introduce him to my lifestyle and have sex with him
- 16:22Speaker 1: and my best friend? Or should I keep this one
- 16:25Speaker 1: all to myself? What? I can't advise your this foolishness.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I've never seen this workout for anybody. I have it now,
- 16:35Speaker 1: it may, but I haven't seen it work out for anybody.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Somebody gonna want what they want and they ain't gonna
- 16:41Speaker 1: want another person to know it or have it. That's
- 16:45Speaker 1: always the case. So look, why you just go only
- 16:48Speaker 1: do your thing? You ain't been to handlebody all to
- 16:51Speaker 1: your damn self because you ain't all you only you
- 16:54Speaker 1: don't see. If you want to be somebody somebody, then
- 17:00Speaker 1: somebody gotta be yo somebody, But everybody can't be everybody's everybody. Wait,
- 17:08Speaker 1: what about time? If you want to be somebody's somebody,
- 17:12Speaker 1: if somebody gonna want to be yo somebody, but everybody
- 17:16Speaker 1: can't be everybody's everybody, because that was the hell going
- 17:19Speaker 1: on right here? Everybody. You know you can't belong to
- 17:23Speaker 1: everybody and just them because somebody ain't gonna go along
- 17:28Speaker 1: with the rules. I thought we was doing everybody Now
- 17:32Speaker 1: if your girlfriend didn't introduce you to it and you
- 17:34Speaker 1: with hub but you want him, but you don't want
- 17:36Speaker 1: him to be with Huh, that ain't how this work
- 17:39Speaker 1: called poly Gonna want to crack her? Yes, Pa, I
- 17:45Speaker 1: don't know what pola, alma who or whatever we're pobably
- 17:48Speaker 1: gonna want to crack. I have to walk everybody everything
- 17:56Speaker 1: all right? Here we go. We're moving on Celestia and all. Austin,
- 18:00Speaker 1: Texas says, I'm thirty one years old dating a thirty
- 18:03Speaker 1: nine year old guy that can't get his mother out
- 18:06Speaker 1: of his love life. Whenever he invites me to a
- 18:08Speaker 1: family function, his mother invites his ex girlfriend, his ex
- 18:12Speaker 1: still hangs with his mother like they're best friends. His
- 18:15Speaker 1: mom even had a fortieth birthday dinner for this girl
- 18:18Speaker 1: at her house and blamed me when my ex didn't
- 18:22Speaker 1: come to the party. My man said that his mom
- 18:24Speaker 1: is deliberately doing things to irritate me. So why does
- 18:27Speaker 1: he allow this? Good question? Well, I mean, what can
- 18:31Speaker 1: he disallow. He can't make his mama stop talking to
- 18:35Speaker 1: his ex girlfriend because his mama messy. Very He can't
- 18:40Speaker 1: tell his mama you can't have his girl over your
- 18:43Speaker 1: house no more. And he can tell his mama, mom,
- 18:46Speaker 1: don't throw her no party. But a mama don't like
- 18:48Speaker 1: the new girlfriend. She want an old girlfriend to win.
- 18:52Speaker 1: And the old girlfriend is fine rubbing it in your face.
- 18:56Speaker 1: If he ain't gonna make it convenient for you, why
- 18:59Speaker 1: are you making it convenient for him? Exactly? He getting
- 19:03Speaker 1: what you what he wont He got you and his
- 19:06Speaker 1: mama cool, but you ain't got nothing you want. You
- 19:08Speaker 1: don't even have all of him. She madded you because
- 19:12Speaker 1: you didn't let him come to her birthday party. But
- 19:15Speaker 1: he's not a great guy if he doesn't stop this foolishness.
- 19:20Speaker 1: All right, we're moving on. Isabelle in Clearwater, Florida. Writes,
- 19:25Speaker 1: my husband had an affair a year ago that resulted
- 19:27Speaker 1: in a child that I have to raise. The child's
- 19:30Speaker 1: mother was sent to jail for selling marijuana, and she
- 19:33Speaker 1: came to me apologize for the affair and asked me
- 19:37Speaker 1: to take her baby. I don't have any kids, and
- 19:40Speaker 1: this child looks so much like my husband that it
- 19:43Speaker 1: makes me ill. He's doing everything he can to work
- 19:46Speaker 1: things out with me, but I'm ready to leave. She's
- 19:50Speaker 1: ready to leave, this is and she says she wants
- 19:56Speaker 1: to take the baby with her Steve, but he says
- 19:59Speaker 1: she can't take the baby with her, and she doesn't
- 20:02Speaker 1: want to stay. So what does she do now? Well,
- 20:05Speaker 1: you have no rights to the baby, I don't think
- 20:08Speaker 1: unless the mother signed the rights over to you. She
- 20:11Speaker 1: asked you, But that's the father, So the father and
- 20:15Speaker 1: the mother had the rights. Who is this woman? He
- 20:18Speaker 1: was sleeping with the smoking weed and selling it and
- 20:21Speaker 1: her ass is going to jail and now you But
- 20:25Speaker 1: but the baby make you look sick? Make you sick
- 20:28Speaker 1: because he looked just like her. But now you want
- 20:30Speaker 1: to leave him, but you want to keep the baby.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Say you want to take the thing to make you
- 20:34Speaker 1: sick any time you look at it with you what's
- 20:36Speaker 1: wrong with you? Damn? Give that man the baby and
- 20:41Speaker 1: go start your life over. Yes, all right, thank you, Cello.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Coming up next to the nephew and run that prank

- 21:35Speaker 1: a used car lot dealership called a car Lot. I
- 21:38Speaker 1: don't know, maybe six or seven months ago, am I right? Ago? Okay?
- 21:45Speaker 1: Now you've been paying notes on this car, I know,
- 21:47Speaker 1: for the last six months, and you know I hate
- 21:51Speaker 1: to be a burden of bad news. Actually, my name
- 21:54Speaker 1: is Detective Justin and I'm giving you a call to
- 21:58Speaker 1: let you know that the actual v here, this two
- 22:00Speaker 1: thousand and one Navy Blueshi that you purchased is actually
- 22:05Speaker 1: um a stolen vehicle. And we've actually been looking for
- 22:09Speaker 1: this car for the last been pretty much close to
- 22:12Speaker 1: a year now, maybe a little over a year. We've
- 22:14Speaker 1: been looking for this I work in the auto theft
- 22:16Speaker 1: division and uh, who you say, you argue Detective Justin, sir,
- 22:23Speaker 1: And I'm in the auto theft division here at the
- 22:25Speaker 1: police department at I think you got the wrong I
- 22:34Speaker 1: think you got the wrong, god Man, because um no, sir,
- 22:40Speaker 1: it's it's. It's it's and I've done the trace on
- 22:42Speaker 1: on it. And I know this is probably a shock
- 22:44Speaker 1: to you, but you we're right on point with this thing.
- 22:47Speaker 1: You've got a two thousand and one Navy blue. You
- 22:49Speaker 1: did buy it. You did buy it at the carlt dealership,
- 22:52Speaker 1: and that uh and it's the exact one in the
- 22:55Speaker 1: license plate, sir, they do match up. And uh, I
- 22:59Speaker 1: know this is a bit of a shock to you,
- 23:01Speaker 1: but your car is actually a stolen car. So the dealership, sir,
- 23:05Speaker 1: actually sold you a stolen car. And I know you
- 23:10Speaker 1: did not know that. I know that it was not
- 23:12Speaker 1: any information that you already knew. And I know you
- 23:15Speaker 1: thought that you were just purchasing a legitimate car. But
- 23:18Speaker 1: you have a stolen car, mister Trevor. And no, no,
- 23:23Speaker 1: I think you got the wrong person, because this car
- 23:26Speaker 1: is not stolen. For real, this is not stolen, sir.
- 23:29Speaker 1: I can go all day with you and try to
- 23:31Speaker 1: make you understand what's going on here, and I know
- 23:34Speaker 1: it's probably some some blurry information that's not clear to you,
- 23:38Speaker 1: but at the end of the day, your car is stolen.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I am gonna have to either get someone to come
- 23:43Speaker 1: out and impound it or you. No, no, I think
- 23:48Speaker 1: y'all might need to go back over y'all records, man,
- 23:50Speaker 1: because I think y'all real. I think y'all got the
- 23:52Speaker 1: wrong person, sir. For I'm not gonna tell you once
- 23:57Speaker 1: and I'm gonna tell you again. You have a car
- 24:00Speaker 1: that's stolen that I have to have in my possession
- 24:02Speaker 1: by the end of the day. Now, by the end
- 24:05Speaker 1: of the day, for real, man, you got sir, you
- 24:08Speaker 1: have a stolen car and you're gonna need to bring
- 24:11Speaker 1: that car into the police station so we can get
- 24:13Speaker 1: this thing rectified. I'm man, for real, man, hold on,
- 24:17Speaker 1: let me talk about this. Man. I don't know about
- 24:20Speaker 1: all this she's telling me for real, sir. I understand
- 24:22Speaker 1: what you're saying, but do you realize you're talking to
- 24:25Speaker 1: a police officer here. I am detective. I am detective Justin.
- 24:30Speaker 1: I am who you are, man, I'm hold it is
- 24:34Speaker 1: no longer, sir. We've had to actually shut them down
- 24:39Speaker 1: for the time being until we get quite a few
- 24:41Speaker 1: cars rectified that. I've got more than just your vehicle, sir,
- 24:45Speaker 1: that's been that that has auto theft tied to it.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Hold on, that's two things. Either you're gonna bring it
- 24:52Speaker 1: to me or I'm gonna come get it now. Which
- 24:54Speaker 1: one do you want to do? For real, sir. I
- 24:58Speaker 1: don't want to have this to have to get go
- 25:00Speaker 1: to a level of where it doesn't need to be,
- 25:02Speaker 1: but I need to get that card in my possession. Okay, look, look, look,
- 25:06Speaker 1: listen while I'm telling you. Okay, you're listening. I'm listening, sir. Okay, look,
- 25:10Speaker 1: un listen, somebody's gonna take me my three hundred seventy
- 25:14Speaker 1: third guys at fifty two cents I've been paying for
- 25:16Speaker 1: the last six months. Unless you're gonna pay me that
- 25:20Speaker 1: give me back my trade. In said, get this now.
- 25:23Speaker 1: I ain't out here you're talking about for real? Now
- 25:27Speaker 1: you're coming at me with man, I went too hard
- 25:29Speaker 1: to be keeping up the notes like here, Man, I
- 25:32Speaker 1: got that and my rit to take care of. And
- 25:34Speaker 1: you come to talk about you saying take my car
- 25:36Speaker 1: because something that happened before I bought it, and what
- 25:40Speaker 1: I don't even know if this is true? Like I said,
- 25:42Speaker 1: I thank you missing. I think you got me mixed
- 25:44Speaker 1: with somebody else. What y'all just not coming at me
- 25:47Speaker 1: talking this. I ain't heard nothing about this before. Sure,
- 25:50Speaker 1: it's taking us a while to actually track down the
- 25:52Speaker 1: car and actually find out exactly where it was. I
- 25:55Speaker 1: I've tracked this car so for the last eight nine months,
- 25:58Speaker 1: and I finally found it. You are the one that's
- 26:00Speaker 1: actually has it in your possession. It happens all the time.
- 26:03Speaker 1: It's an unlikely situation, but I gotta get you to
- 26:06Speaker 1: bring it in. And I'm I ain't bring you, hear me,
- 26:09Speaker 1: I ain't bring y'all not coming to get from me
- 26:13Speaker 1: unless somebody give me my three hunting at seventy seven
- 26:16Speaker 1: dollars fifty two cents. I've been telling from the last
- 26:18Speaker 1: six months plus in my back. Sure, I'm sure you're
- 26:22Speaker 1: probably long gone by now it's probably I'm stopping. Okay,
- 26:27Speaker 1: then then y'all can need at least just come with
- 26:29Speaker 1: the money. Come with the money. I just don't get
- 26:31Speaker 1: in another roster somewhere else, Sir. I'm not I can't
- 26:33Speaker 1: sit here and negotiate with you. I'm just a detective
- 26:36Speaker 1: that's on this actual case. And I know it's a
- 26:38Speaker 1: trying situation, but I am going to have to send
- 26:42Speaker 1: some officers out there that that do this type of thing.
- 26:45Speaker 1: They pick up these cars and bring them into the
- 26:47Speaker 1: that wish you would send somebody out here to get
- 26:50Speaker 1: my car. And if you can't go here with me,
- 26:52Speaker 1: you need to find somebody can. And no, you know,
- 26:57Speaker 1: you bring somebody out here if you want to. Don't
- 27:00Speaker 1: ain't somebody I got here. I've been working Tooh man,
- 27:04Speaker 1: I'm working a great ship. I'm putting all the time.
- 27:06Speaker 1: They got to stay late so that man, I'm working
- 27:09Speaker 1: through order and trying to get this car. Man, it's great.
- 27:12Speaker 1: God here you want to for real, sir, Sir, sir, calm,
- 27:17Speaker 1: I gotta get you calm down. I mean, you get
- 27:19Speaker 1: a little out of tim here and told me my
- 27:21Speaker 1: car stoning and y'all talking about tending to get it
- 27:23Speaker 1: from me. Sure, I know this is a surprise, and
- 27:27Speaker 1: I understand that, and you gotta great. You got an
- 27:29Speaker 1: honest living, an honest job, and I understand that. But
- 27:31Speaker 1: some people have done some dishonest things. And that's what's
- 27:34Speaker 1: happened here. Somebody that is my problem right there, That
- 27:39Speaker 1: ain't my problem. They wasn't dead with minds when I
- 27:42Speaker 1: first got it, so right from the problem now, I'm
- 27:44Speaker 1: not understanding that. All I'm staying is is y'all cub
- 27:47Speaker 1: with my car. I'm gonna y'all. Look, That's all I'm saying.
- 27:51Speaker 1: You know what, I don't want to go any further.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Can I say one more thing to you? Can I
- 27:54Speaker 1: do that? What? This is nephew tim Me from the
- 27:57Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by your

- 28:11Speaker 1: pranked by your cousin. Man, trouble you all right? I
- 28:17Speaker 1: got even name the cigarette running? All right? Man, let
- 28:22Speaker 1: me ask you something. You gotta tell me, baby, what's
- 28:24Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land. Man, It's that
- 28:28Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. See that's how you get somebody pressure.

- 28:55Speaker 1: Tampa landing. The cut sold out. That boy back back,
- 29:00Speaker 1: all right, thank you Nephew coming up at the top
- 29:03Speaker 1: of the hour, Tamikad Malory right after this. You're listening. Hey,
- 29:11Speaker 1: everybody listen. That's problems. We got our special guests. Uh,
- 29:15Speaker 1: this census trailblazing activists for social justice. Uh. She's been
- 29:20Speaker 1: at the forefront of nationwide social dustries movements over the
- 29:25Speaker 1: last year and more than that actually, but we've really
- 29:28Speaker 1: seen her in the forefront of late You've seen her
- 29:30Speaker 1: about it in every news outlet in the fight for justice.
- 29:34Speaker 1: She's a co founder of the Until Freedom organization and
- 29:40Speaker 1: the Historic Women's March, and she's also an author now.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Her new book is called State of Emergency, How We
- 29:47Speaker 1: Win in the Country we built, and examines the challenges
- 29:51Speaker 1: that we face and the forces we must overcome, so
- 29:54Speaker 1: we're gonna find out more about this state of emergency.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, of introducing to you one of the bad,
- 30:01Speaker 1: bad young soldiers out on the front line today that
- 30:03Speaker 1: I appreciate so much. For all these young lions that's
- 30:07Speaker 1: roaring out here, that's making the difference on the social scene.
- 30:11Speaker 1: And ladies and gentlemen, she's here. Please welcome activists to
- 30:14Speaker 1: Mika Mallory. Hello. Thank y'all so much for having me
- 30:20Speaker 1: like families, so thank you for allowing me to be
- 30:22Speaker 1: on How you doing this is really gonna be good? Yeah?
- 30:27Speaker 1: You know, let me tell you this. This speech you
- 30:29Speaker 1: gave at a Minnesota press conference that was following the
- 30:33Speaker 1: depth of a George Floyd, it has been referred to
- 30:39Speaker 1: in a lot of circles as the speech of a generation.
- 30:42Speaker 1: And over the past year you've been heavily involved on
- 30:44Speaker 1: the front lives with so many social justice movement What
- 30:48Speaker 1: has this been like for you this past year or so?
- 30:54Speaker 1: You know, I'm Steve. Unfortunately it's not just been this
- 30:58Speaker 1: past year, right, I've been in this fight for twenty
- 31:01Speaker 1: five years. In fact, the first time that I met
- 31:03Speaker 1: you was while working with Reverend Al Sharpton, and it's
- 31:08Speaker 1: been just that long that we have been in sort
- 31:11Speaker 1: of a perpetual state of addressing violence and police violence.
- 31:18Speaker 1: And so for me, George Floyd in sort of like
- 31:22Speaker 1: this big moment that I assume other leaders have experience.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I assume that doctor King and others, who I, of
- 31:29Speaker 1: course am not comparing myself to. Before the stake of conversation,
- 31:34Speaker 1: I'm sure there were moments that really shifted and the
- 31:38Speaker 1: public understanding, bringing more people to the movement, allowing you
- 31:43Speaker 1: an opportunity to have more resources and really more depth
- 31:47Speaker 1: and more people to join in the fight. And I
- 31:51Speaker 1: think that's what this year has signified. And it wasn't
- 31:54Speaker 1: just George Floyd. Rihanna Taylor's mother to Mika Palma would
- 31:58Speaker 1: say that it took George Boy to be killed on
- 32:01Speaker 1: camera for there to be attention to her or her
- 32:04Speaker 1: daughter and the fact that she was killed, because you know,
- 32:07Speaker 1: it had been two and a half months and no
- 32:09Speaker 1: one was really talking about Brianna Saylor. So she was
- 32:12Speaker 1: sort of sandwich between Ahmad Aarberry and George Floyd. And
- 32:18Speaker 1: it's sort of like this trio took place at one
- 32:20Speaker 1: time during the pandemic that people just couldn't ignore. And
- 32:25Speaker 1: so the last year had looked like still fighting, but
- 32:29Speaker 1: having more people to the lesson right of us who
- 32:32Speaker 1: are willing to help along the way. Yeah, you know,
- 32:35Speaker 1: and I don't want people to misunderstand what we're saying
- 32:37Speaker 1: in this intro. I'm talking about this last year because
- 32:41Speaker 1: it's been in the forefront of people's minds a lot
- 32:44Speaker 1: because of the pandemic, and everybody was home to bear
- 32:47Speaker 1: witness to it. But this young sister been out here
- 32:49Speaker 1: a long time fighting. You know, it just takes These
- 32:53Speaker 1: are the moment she's talking about, you know, to marcha
- 32:56Speaker 1: Washington for doctor King, the the trash collectors, march in.
- 33:03Speaker 1: These were things that were helping to find and get
- 33:07Speaker 1: him to the point. And this is just moments she's
- 33:10Speaker 1: at now. Tamica, You've got this book out now, and
- 33:13Speaker 1: the book is called State of Emergency, and it takes
- 33:16Speaker 1: a look at the history of systemic racism and activism
- 33:19Speaker 1: in America now and you in this book, you lay
- 33:22Speaker 1: out a vision for effective activism and positive change. Tell
- 33:25Speaker 1: us more about the book. So, State of Emergency, in
- 33:30Speaker 1: many ways, it's like it's the labor of love and pain. Right,
- 33:34Speaker 1: it was an opportunity for me to sit down and
- 33:39Speaker 1: write what I said during that speech in Minneapolis and
- 33:44Speaker 1: to really give more context to it. You know, I
- 33:46Speaker 1: talked about in that speech the fact that we learned
- 33:51Speaker 1: violence from America, and you know, I talked about the
- 33:54Speaker 1: longstanding conditions of oppression and white supremacy. And this book
- 34:00Speaker 1: gives me an opportunity rather than booming my whole life away,
- 34:05Speaker 1: because that's what was happening. Right after the speech. I
- 34:08Speaker 1: was sitting in front of my computer for hours, trying
- 34:11Speaker 1: to do every interview, trying to speak at everything, which
- 34:15Speaker 1: was impossible, and and I decided to sit down and
- 34:20Speaker 1: write this book, and also to refresh my understanding of
- 34:23Speaker 1: the history, to create to put references in the book
- 34:29Speaker 1: so that people, because I'm not saying anything new, see
- 34:31Speaker 1: their families. You know, I'm repeating, with my own secret thought,
- 34:35Speaker 1: if you will, the same history that we've been telling
- 34:39Speaker 1: for far too long. And this book has a few
- 34:42Speaker 1: important points in it. I think one that is extremely
- 34:45Speaker 1: important to me is that I dedicated the book to
- 34:49Speaker 1: my son, someone who I have left for many years.
- 34:53Speaker 1: He's twenty two, and for many years I've been leaving
- 34:56Speaker 1: him to work on other people's children's situations and having
- 35:00Speaker 1: necessarily been there in his state of emergency at times,
- 35:04Speaker 1: and so I dedicated the book to him with the
- 35:07Speaker 1: whole conversation on how we can run to other movements,
- 35:11Speaker 1: but if we don't deal with the issues that are
- 35:13Speaker 1: happening within our lives, within our family, we're missing the mark.
- 35:17Speaker 1: And it was really there to help white folks understand
- 35:21Speaker 1: that a lot of them want to get involved, but
- 35:23Speaker 1: they don't understand that they're bringing some of the same
- 35:26Speaker 1: harm that has not been addressing their families. Their mother
- 35:31Speaker 1: it speaks about Mexican people in a certain way, or
- 35:34Speaker 1: their fathers don't like black folks, and you want to
- 35:37Speaker 1: come and get in the movement and lead what we're doing,
- 35:40Speaker 1: but you haven't challenged them and said, listen, I won't
- 35:43Speaker 1: be at Thanksgiving dinner if this is the way the
- 35:45Speaker 1: conversation around the table will happen. Hey, Jamika, hang on
- 35:48Speaker 1: right here. Oh, we're gonna be back with more Jamica
- 35:51Speaker 1: Maori right after this. You're listening, light everybody. We're back
- 35:57Speaker 1: in our special Guests this morning. As the author of
- 36:00Speaker 1: the new hot book that we all got to get
- 36:02Speaker 1: it's called State of Emergency. This is Tamika Demaldy, who's
- 36:06Speaker 1: our special guest this morning. I mean, you know, look,
- 36:09Speaker 1: we've been dealing with this for so many years. I
- 36:11Speaker 1: talked about that personal taking, the personal responsibility in the
- 36:16Speaker 1: book and then you know, my forward is a conversation
- 36:20Speaker 1: between Cardi b and doctor Angela Davis. A lot of
- 36:23Speaker 1: folks went crazy, how Cardid racial justice? How can you
- 36:28Speaker 1: you know? What does that mean? But I wrote this
- 36:31Speaker 1: book in a way that a mother and her teenage
- 36:34Speaker 1: son could read it together. I wrote it for a
- 36:37Speaker 1: pastor and the janitor at the church to be able
- 36:40Speaker 1: to come away from this book and have a conversation.
- 36:43Speaker 1: I wanted to stripper and the dude who's on the
- 36:46Speaker 1: street corner to take this book and say, oh, I
- 36:48Speaker 1: see myself in this and perhaps I can have a
- 36:50Speaker 1: conversation with someone from a different community and it might
- 36:54Speaker 1: be enlightening. And so, you know, that's what State of
- 36:58Speaker 1: Emergency is about. It's a book at all of us
- 37:01Speaker 1: own and it's really not just a book, but it's
- 37:04Speaker 1: a movement, and the movement and the steps towards fighting
- 37:08Speaker 1: for justice are included in the pet You know this
- 37:11Speaker 1: is This is great because to me, we're doing the
- 37:14Speaker 1: new take on a very very old problem. Yeah, I
- 37:18Speaker 1: thank god for social media because this wouldn't even be
- 37:21Speaker 1: happening at this rate if it wasn't for phone cameras.
- 37:25Speaker 1: I've watched this happen to friends of mine and black
- 37:28Speaker 1: men I've known for years, because I'm sixty four, I've
- 37:31Speaker 1: seen it before that was phone cramp, before it was phones.
- 37:34Speaker 1: I've seen them beat them. Like you were talking about,
- 37:37Speaker 1: you have to heal within yourself, and you're absolutely correct.
- 37:40Speaker 1: I do appreciate the non African Americans who have decided
- 37:44Speaker 1: to get in in this Black Lives Matter movement because
- 37:46Speaker 1: it will help. But it also, like you say, you
- 37:50Speaker 1: have to deal with the stuff at home because you
- 37:52Speaker 1: bring with you a lot of the old thing that
- 37:56Speaker 1: has just been in place for so long. But you
- 38:00Speaker 1: also mentioned in here that there's a conversation that must
- 38:03Speaker 1: take place between black men and black women in order
- 38:06Speaker 1: to rise together. What is the conversation basically that you
- 38:11Speaker 1: think should be had between us amongst ourselves. I think
- 38:15Speaker 1: there has to be an acknowledgement that we black an issue.
- 38:20Speaker 1: That's that's one. There are some people who want to
- 38:24Speaker 1: sort of look past it and say that, well, it's
- 38:26Speaker 1: the media or you know women out there trying to
- 38:30Speaker 1: act like they're better than the men, or you know,
- 38:32Speaker 1: women bashing our brothers. But we're not really understanding that
- 38:37Speaker 1: the issues that we faith were designed and it's something
- 38:40Speaker 1: that we've carried since we were inflayed, and we've never
- 38:44Speaker 1: ever been able to tear those things down and rebuild
- 38:48Speaker 1: new relationship. Girls. I think there's so many there's so
- 38:51Speaker 1: many that want us to forget one another, to leave
- 38:55Speaker 1: one another behind because they know that together we are
- 38:59Speaker 1: too pour ful. Hey, Tamika, hang on one second, one second,
- 39:03Speaker 1: We're gonna take another break. We're coming back. We got
- 39:05Speaker 1: so much to talk about. This is really good. Uh,
- 39:08Speaker 1: this sister's on point. We'll be back with more from
- 39:10Speaker 1: Tamika Maori right after this. You're listening, all right, everybody,
- 39:18Speaker 1: We're back and our special guest this morning is Tamika
- 39:21Speaker 1: Deep Maori. She's the author of a brand new book.
- 39:24Speaker 1: She's a co founder of the Until Freedom organization, and
- 39:28Speaker 1: the new book is called A State of Emergency, and
- 39:31Speaker 1: it's a It takes a look at the history of
- 39:33Speaker 1: systemic racism in America. Look y'all. We need to run
- 39:36Speaker 1: this book up. Everybody need to get this book right here.
- 39:39Speaker 1: It's a black man as the head of our household
- 39:43Speaker 1: because that's what I believe in. And that's not going
- 39:45Speaker 1: to change for me, because the world definitely is changing,
- 39:48Speaker 1: and there many women who have had to figure out
- 39:50Speaker 1: how to do it on their own. But I believe
- 39:52Speaker 1: that the black man is the head of our household.
- 39:55Speaker 1: But that as my father would say, he's been married
- 39:58Speaker 1: my mother for fifty years. He think I'm ahead of
- 40:00Speaker 1: the household. But it's whatever she said, that's what I
- 40:02Speaker 1: did at all. And as a result of that, their
- 40:11Speaker 1: dates would have raised the family um and and even
- 40:14Speaker 1: if it is not a man and woman in the
- 40:16Speaker 1: household together, it doesn't mean that we need to be
- 40:19Speaker 1: tearing one another down, that we have to disrespect one another,
- 40:22Speaker 1: and that we need these divisive tacktic tactics that is
- 40:26Speaker 1: just within us where our communities are not whole. And
- 40:29Speaker 1: so I think that as we not before, but as
- 40:33Speaker 1: we work to fight the outside forces, we have to
- 40:36Speaker 1: figure out what can unify us and what can bring
- 40:39Speaker 1: black families together stronger so that we are we are
- 40:44Speaker 1: in a position to go to war against the world
- 40:47Speaker 1: and not in the process of fighting with each other
- 40:50Speaker 1: on on the way. You know, this is an you know,
- 40:56Speaker 1: I want people to really understand that even though this
- 41:03Speaker 1: woman has been at this for a while, you know,
- 41:05Speaker 1: it's amazing how these types of moments kind of bring
- 41:09Speaker 1: years of work to the forefront. And that's what we're
- 41:12Speaker 1: looking at here. We're looking at something that happened with
- 41:17Speaker 1: Aubrey and Brianna Taylor and George Floyd that really push
- 41:21Speaker 1: this work to the forefront. And this is one of
- 41:24Speaker 1: those pivotal moments. This book State of Emergency, it's about
- 41:30Speaker 1: talking about us because I do you know, like you say,
- 41:34Speaker 1: we have issues within ourselves. You know, the one issue
- 41:37Speaker 1: that I always thought that we needed to fix its
- 41:39Speaker 1: just our black men. Look, man, we just have to
- 41:43Speaker 1: start with just a basic respect of our sisters. We
- 41:47Speaker 1: have to start here. We got to get more protective
- 41:51Speaker 1: of our women and how we talk to them and
- 41:54Speaker 1: treat them. And you know, I mean, look, I'm not
- 41:57Speaker 1: blaming any one genre or anything like that, but we
- 42:00Speaker 1: gotta stop the degrading of our women in our music.
- 42:04Speaker 1: We gotta put it into that. I mean, we got
- 42:06Speaker 1: some smart cats out here, in the music genre and
- 42:09Speaker 1: the giants and they got the one. They got enough
- 42:12Speaker 1: money they could easily put a stop to it. You
- 42:14Speaker 1: know the music is you know Bruno Mars and Anderson Pack,
- 42:17Speaker 1: they're coming out there. They bringing some flavor back to
- 42:20Speaker 1: music that's been missing for a while. But we gotta
- 42:22Speaker 1: start in a couple of places that we can control immediately,
- 42:26Speaker 1: that don't take a whole lot. It's just us older
- 42:31Speaker 1: men who know have to have us sit down with
- 42:34Speaker 1: the generation behind us and tell them, who are now
- 42:38Speaker 1: the moguls of hip hop and say, listen, brothers, we
- 42:42Speaker 1: got we gotta squeeze this. And these gian cats is
- 42:44Speaker 1: in the hip hop they brilliant dudes. They're smart, they
- 42:46Speaker 1: get it, they know how to do this, and we
- 42:49Speaker 1: can start there. That would help start healing a lot
- 42:52Speaker 1: of it. And because once we start loving and taking
- 42:54Speaker 1: care of one another, I think we have a better
- 42:56Speaker 1: shot at this thing. But this racism thing, though, you
- 43:04Speaker 1: know what to me, go to me. The reason this
- 43:07Speaker 1: thing has gone on this loan is because it's so
- 43:11Speaker 1: many powerful whites that have to keep it going. Because,
- 43:15Speaker 1: like you just said a minute ago, we are so powerful.
- 43:20Speaker 1: If we ever were given all the rights we would
- 43:23Speaker 1: do if we were ever given justice, like it was
- 43:28Speaker 1: flavor instead of slices of picke. See, they think if
- 43:32Speaker 1: you give us two bigger piece, that that shortens they pick. No, No,
- 43:35Speaker 1: we ain't ask them for a bigger slack. We're asking
- 43:37Speaker 1: for to eat off the same spoon your ass, eating
- 43:39Speaker 1: off of what you taste. We want to taste. That's
- 43:43Speaker 1: what justice is. But they know that if they give
- 43:47Speaker 1: us that, what we become in spite of all the
- 43:51Speaker 1: obstacles is enormous within itself. So imagine if they level
- 43:56Speaker 1: the play and field hold it half it to do that? Right, Hey, Jamica,
- 44:00Speaker 1: one more time, this is really good information. Hang on,
- 44:03Speaker 1: we got more with Jamika Maori right after this. Y'all,
- 44:06Speaker 1: don't go on. This is a bad girl. You're listening,
- 44:12Speaker 1: all right, We're back special guest this morning, Jamica di Maori.
- 44:16Speaker 1: We're going over her new book. A new book out
- 44:18Speaker 1: is called State of Emergency. Everybody, if over eighteen thousand
- 44:22Speaker 1: copies have been sold already, we finished set another eighteen
- 44:26Speaker 1: thousand today, So let's get out and get a copy
- 44:29Speaker 1: of a State of Emergency. It's everywhere, and see I
- 44:33Speaker 1: think also it's profitable to have people at the bottom, Right,
- 44:39Speaker 1: it's profitable who has people mass incarcerated? Right, needs incarceration
- 44:48Speaker 1: to continue, because imagine that the trade, if you will,
- 44:52Speaker 1: that it's being done, that is being done not just
- 44:56Speaker 1: through bodies moving from prison to prison and employees being
- 45:02Speaker 1: able to make livings off of these individuals, but there's
- 45:06Speaker 1: also products and services that are being brand out of prisons.
- 45:10Speaker 1: So there's an actual market. How do you how do
- 45:14Speaker 1: you keep the drugs market as it currently is if
- 45:18Speaker 1: you don't have people to use it, and then you
- 45:21Speaker 1: need to be able to lock them up, and you
- 45:23Speaker 1: need to have them in certain situations that help to
- 45:26Speaker 1: keep the rich rich and the poor more. And I
- 45:30Speaker 1: and so I don't think I think it is a
- 45:33Speaker 1: failure of many of our people to assume that this
- 45:36Speaker 1: just kind of happened and it's some project that we've
- 45:39Speaker 1: got to unravel. I think it's very simple, it's very easy.
- 45:43Speaker 1: We understand it. And look at how hard the Senate,
- 45:47Speaker 1: the repentant Republicans are fighting to not pass a bill
- 45:52Speaker 1: the georgeploy justice and police, which is, by the way,
- 45:56Speaker 1: not radical. I just want you to know, yes, the
- 45:58Speaker 1: bill is lottery in nature. There is something called the
- 46:03Speaker 1: Breathe Act that the Movement for Black Lives has been
- 46:06Speaker 1: advocating for. It's much more radical. But right now what's
- 46:10Speaker 1: on the table is the George Floyd Justice and Policing Act.
- 46:14Speaker 1: And look how hard they are fighting not to have
- 46:17Speaker 1: accountability measures for officers and in this system. So there
- 46:23Speaker 1: is an actual strategy. And I think where we as
- 46:26Speaker 1: black people fail is that we've spent so much time
- 46:30Speaker 1: having smoked for one another. I don't like Tamika, this person,
- 46:34Speaker 1: I don't like that. Let me you know, I don't
- 46:36Speaker 1: know this one, ain't that, and that one and doesn't
- 46:39Speaker 1: speak well and so and so hus ain't right. And
- 46:42Speaker 1: we got all the smoke to fight each other. But
- 46:44Speaker 1: when it comes to standing up against the beasts that
- 46:47Speaker 1: we're going up again, Yeah, where are we? We don't
- 46:51Speaker 1: have more energy because we've been fighting each other. You know.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Let me just say this, this George Floyd Bill. Listen, y'all,
- 47:00Speaker 1: this is a real simple, basic human rights bill. All
- 47:06Speaker 1: we're saying is can black people be treated the same
- 47:12Speaker 1: way white people that's treated when we get pulled over
- 47:16Speaker 1: by the police. Can the police be held accountable for
- 47:21Speaker 1: the same laws they are paid to a pole. If
- 47:25Speaker 1: I killed an un our man, my black ass going
- 47:28Speaker 1: to jail tomorrow. That even as soon as they come
- 47:33Speaker 1: to the house. So what makes it okay for you
- 47:36Speaker 1: to kill it on our man and then nothing happened.
- 47:39Speaker 1: We're just talking about a basic human right here, and
- 47:42Speaker 1: she's absolutely this is it. But they're fighting it. They're
- 47:47Speaker 1: fighting it like we're asking for something unreasonable. These are
- 47:52Speaker 1: basic damn human rights, and we live in a country
- 47:57Speaker 1: that don't want black people to even have basic human rights.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Just we don't see why y'all not okay with not
- 48:10Speaker 1: being treated the same way where y'are. Y'all ain't like us,
- 48:14Speaker 1: So why y'all tripping? Look this better than we used
- 48:17Speaker 1: to treat y'all ain't slaves. So we're just doing this,
- 48:20Speaker 1: that's all. This is, give us time to work through this.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Were tied to all this monkey ass mess. We're exhausted.
- 48:27Speaker 1: She's exhausted. She's exhausted from writing the book about a
- 48:31Speaker 1: state of emergency. She's exhausted from raising her son. I'm
- 48:36Speaker 1: exhausted from telling my three boys how to drive, where
- 48:39Speaker 1: to keep your registration, how to act when they're still
- 48:41Speaker 1: over man, Where you act call me man. Let me
- 48:45Speaker 1: know you good. My son's grown, but I wear about.
- 48:49Speaker 1: We are tired, y'all. The book that she has out. Now,
- 48:52Speaker 1: y'all listen, everybody, here's the deal. We're going to do
- 48:56Speaker 1: something for this book to Steve Harvey Nation. We're gonna
- 48:58Speaker 1: push this thing over the top. This woman right here
- 49:02Speaker 1: who is dedicated so much of her time in her
- 49:05Speaker 1: life to the cause, it's time for us to return
- 49:09Speaker 1: some of this. Let's get this book and push it
- 49:12Speaker 1: so high up to New York Times list that it
- 49:15Speaker 1: makes noise what people have to pay attention to it
- 49:17Speaker 1: where all the major outlets who want to talk to her.
- 49:21Speaker 1: Because this is a smart woman right here, and I'm
- 49:25Speaker 1: proud of her. I'm glad she's taking up this thing.
- 49:28Speaker 1: The book is called State of Emergency. It's everywhere. I
- 49:32Speaker 1: want y'all to go online. I want you to download it,
- 49:35Speaker 1: but I want you all to look for This book
- 49:37Speaker 1: is called State of Emergency. And let's get his sister
- 49:39Speaker 1: some support and some love, and let's learn from the
- 49:42Speaker 1: book some of the points and facets that she knows
- 49:45Speaker 1: obviously so much about that can help us move this
- 49:48Speaker 1: thing along. Thank you. See I appreciate y'all so very much.
- 49:54Speaker 1: You guys are family. I've always been supported. You know,
- 49:58Speaker 1: people don't believe a book like this can sell. And
- 50:01Speaker 1: in the first week we sold eighteen thousand copies. That's
- 50:05Speaker 1: a huge movement. But of course it's not enough. We
- 50:09Speaker 1: need to sell many, many more books in order to
- 50:12Speaker 1: make it, you know, the type of book that lasts forever.
- 50:16Speaker 1: So again, it's not just my book, it's our book.
- 50:19Speaker 1: These words and this movement is for each and every
- 50:23Speaker 1: one of us, and I appreciate the support so much.
- 50:26Speaker 1: I'm going to continue to do the work. I'm actually
- 50:28Speaker 1: on my way today to that Louisiana to stand with
- 50:32Speaker 1: the family of Ronald Green. You know, we saw what
- 50:36Speaker 1: happened to Ronald Green, and yet again we have another
- 50:40Speaker 1: man crying out, Oh Lord, oh Lord, help me. I
- 50:44Speaker 1: can't sit at home with that. I have to be
- 50:47Speaker 1: out here. And you know, this book hopefully gives other
- 50:51Speaker 1: people a way to get out there and to be
- 50:53Speaker 1: a part of the movement as well. Absolutely, and that's
- 50:56Speaker 1: what it's going to do. Everybody. The book is called
- 50:59Speaker 1: State of Emergency is by Tamika de Mallor. Thank you
- 51:02Speaker 1: so much for joining us. Today's sister. You have our
- 51:05Speaker 1: continued support. Anytime you need a voice to get a
- 51:07Speaker 1: message out. Steve Harvey Warning show is your home. You
- 51:11Speaker 1: can call us and we would deliver any matters. If
- 51:14Speaker 1: you ain't got time, I'll do it for you. I'm
- 51:16Speaker 1: sitting behind the mic. My ass is mad all the
- 51:19Speaker 1: damn Yeah, we know, state this off. I'm as soon
- 51:25Speaker 1: as you hang up, I'm fit to cuss. So don't
- 51:27Speaker 1: even worry about it. We got you. Thank your sister. Yeah.
- 51:32Speaker 1: So that was Tamica. Tamica Maari. She's really outstanding, man.
- 51:36Speaker 1: I just you know, she's she's been at this for
- 51:40Speaker 1: a while. She looks super young, so you know, most
- 51:43Speaker 1: people things because when I first met her and I
- 51:46Speaker 1: talked with her, I thought she was like in her twenties.
- 51:50Speaker 1: But I think right now that you hear her, that's
- 51:55Speaker 1: a brown woman. That's that's that's some conversation that only
- 51:58Speaker 1: happens when you've been living and right life, you know.
- 52:04Speaker 1: So that's good, you know, but it's really good to
- 52:07Speaker 1: have young people taking up this fight because you know,
- 52:10Speaker 1: the al Sharptons that's been out here for a while
- 52:13Speaker 1: and people like that. But when you see these young people. Man,
- 52:16Speaker 1: it's very, very important because somebody got to be forty.
- 52:19Speaker 1: You know, Mark Luther King when he died, he was
- 52:21Speaker 1: thirty eight. Man. Brilliance too, you know. I mean you
- 52:25Speaker 1: gotta have your Sean Kings and your Tami Kamar Reason
- 52:29Speaker 1: and these people. You gotta have them. Let me. You
- 52:33Speaker 1: said something about sitting down with these rap moguls and
- 52:37Speaker 1: having a conversation with him. Do you think they would
- 52:39Speaker 1: be open to that? Absolutely? Conversation. Absolutely. Man. They're really
- 52:44Speaker 1: intelligent cats man, especially cats in power. See you gotta
- 52:48Speaker 1: under saying I'm sixty four. So the generation behind me
- 52:53Speaker 1: was jay z Neil, jay z al l you know
- 52:59Speaker 1: the snoop. These cats, this doctor mc keeping up close
- 53:05Speaker 1: to that fifty range. That's the generation que These cats
- 53:10Speaker 1: you can talk to because they get it now, you know.
- 53:16Speaker 1: All right? Thank you? Wow, what a powerful, powerful moment
- 53:19Speaker 1: with missus Tamiko D. Malory. Coming up next, it is
- 53:22Speaker 1: a Strawberry letter. The subject he thinks it's way better
- 53:25Speaker 1: than it is. We'll get into it right after this.
- 53:28Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Time now
- 53:33Speaker 1: for today's Strawberry Letter and if you need advice on relationships, dating, sex, work, parenting,
- 53:39Speaker 1: and more. Please submit your Strawberry letter to Steve Harvey
- 53:42Speaker 1: FM dot com and click submit Strawberry Letter. We could
- 53:46Speaker 1: be reading your letter here. It is live on the air.
- 53:50Speaker 1: You never know this letter might be yours. Buckle up
- 53:54Speaker 1: and hold on tight. We got it for you. Here
- 53:56Speaker 1: it is. It's a Strawberry letter. Subject he thinks it's
- 54:00Speaker 1: way better than it is. Dear Stephen Shirley. I've been
- 54:03Speaker 1: dating a great man for almost two years, and before
- 54:06Speaker 1: the pandemic I moved in with him. He had high
- 54:09Speaker 1: hopes of having sex more frequently, but just the opposite
- 54:12Speaker 1: of that happened. I'm twenty eight years old and he's
- 54:15Speaker 1: the only man that I've had sex with in my life.
- 54:19Speaker 1: I agreed to move in with him because we're at
- 54:21Speaker 1: each other's house every night anyway. But I do want
- 54:24Speaker 1: to marry this man, so I know that playing house
- 54:27Speaker 1: with him could spoil everything. There is also another reason
- 54:31Speaker 1: I won't have sex with him whenever he wants to.
- 54:34Speaker 1: It's because he's not as good as he thinks he is.
- 54:37Speaker 1: In bed. I was a virgin when we met, and
- 54:40Speaker 1: we had sex for the first time after we'd been
- 54:42Speaker 1: dating for four months. I expected an extraordinary experience, but
- 54:47Speaker 1: it was mediocre at best. I had nothing to compare
- 54:52Speaker 1: it to except the R rated movies I'd seen and
- 54:55Speaker 1: what my older sister told me about sex since I
- 54:58Speaker 1: was a novice. I continued to ate him, and then
- 55:01Speaker 1: I fell in love with him. He's the perfect man
- 55:04Speaker 1: for me, and I want our sex life to improve.
- 55:07Speaker 1: I do it routinely because I know he's got needs
- 55:11Speaker 1: and I don't want him to cheat on me. It's
- 55:13Speaker 1: so mediocre that I've fallen asleep on him a few
- 55:17Speaker 1: times while we were doing it, and he didn't even notice. Recently,
- 55:21Speaker 1: I caught him watching porn, and at first it made
- 55:24Speaker 1: me uncomfortable, but then I realized he might learn a
- 55:27Speaker 1: thing or two from the video. I sat and watched
- 55:30Speaker 1: the video with him and asked him if he could
- 55:33Speaker 1: do the same on if he could do some of
- 55:36Speaker 1: the stuff the guy was doing. He very confidently told
- 55:40Speaker 1: me that he's far more advanced than that porn star,
- 55:43Speaker 1: and that's why I'm so in love with him. He's
- 55:46Speaker 1: so clueless. Do I tell him he needs some work
- 55:50Speaker 1: or settle for bad sex forever? Settle for bad sex
- 55:55Speaker 1: forever and you're only twenty eight years old. If you
- 55:58Speaker 1: marry this guy, that's not the kind of life you want.
- 56:00Speaker 1: I really don't think that. I don't think you do.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Otherwise you wouldn't have written us this letter. Okay, you're
- 56:08Speaker 1: only twenty eight years old. He was your your first
- 56:15Speaker 1: I do think you're way too worried about him and
- 56:17Speaker 1: his needs than your own. You're saying he's he needs,
- 56:20Speaker 1: He has needs, so that's why you do it when
- 56:23Speaker 1: you do. You can't be that in love with him
- 56:26Speaker 1: to neglect what you want. And you don't stay with
- 56:30Speaker 1: someone just because that's what they want. Okay, you got
- 56:33Speaker 1: to figure your own needs. I know you're young, but
- 56:35Speaker 1: you got to start thinking about yourself sometimes, and it
- 56:39Speaker 1: can start right here since you're already with him. Please
- 56:43Speaker 1: do not settle. You mentioned settle in your letter. Do
- 56:46Speaker 1: I tell him he needs some work? You ask? Well,
- 56:49Speaker 1: of course you do, and you've told him that to
- 56:51Speaker 1: do it to that you wanted the guy. You wanted
- 56:54Speaker 1: him to do what the guy was doing to you.
- 56:55Speaker 1: He didn't hear you, Okay, his arrogance told him that
- 56:58Speaker 1: he was so much better. I think you deserve a
- 57:02Speaker 1: man that will listen to you and not be so
- 57:05Speaker 1: arrogant that he can't even hear you when you ask
- 57:08Speaker 1: him to do to you what you want. You're right
- 57:10Speaker 1: in saying you have nothing to compare it to since
- 57:13Speaker 1: you were a virgin before this guy. But you know
- 57:15Speaker 1: something isn't right. You do know that, you know, don't
- 57:20Speaker 1: feel so badly about the extraordinary experience the first time.
- 57:23Speaker 1: A lot of people say it wasn't all that the
- 57:25Speaker 1: first time. It's not until they, you know, do it
- 57:28Speaker 1: more and get into it more. I think the world
- 57:31Speaker 1: is starting to open up now because of the vaccines
- 57:33Speaker 1: and all of that. You were with him because of
- 57:35Speaker 1: the pandemic. My advice to you would be to let
- 57:38Speaker 1: him know that you're going to move back to your place,
- 57:41Speaker 1: because although you do love him, he doesn't listen, and
- 57:44Speaker 1: this relationship is not going to work without good communication
- 57:47Speaker 1: and great sex, and you're not getting either one of
- 57:50Speaker 1: those right now. Steve, little sister, you got problem here.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Good dating is man. For two years before the pandemic.
- 58:03Speaker 1: I moved in with him because he had high hopes
- 58:06Speaker 1: of having sex more frequently, but the opposite didn't happen.
- 58:10Speaker 1: She twenty eight years old and he is the only
- 58:13Speaker 1: man that she had had sex with in her life.
- 58:19Speaker 1: So you agreed to move in with him because y'all
- 58:21Speaker 1: was at each other's house anyway, That's not a reason
- 58:25Speaker 1: to move in with nobody. Shirley's right. You got to
- 58:28Speaker 1: find other reason to move in with somebody. Sayce, y'all
- 58:30Speaker 1: just over that every night anyway, Just do that. She
- 58:35Speaker 1: is always good to be able to go home instead
- 58:37Speaker 1: of find out your ass is home. It is always
- 58:43Speaker 1: better to go home than to find out your ass
- 58:47Speaker 1: is home. You him, Damn you then took that out
- 58:53Speaker 1: your life. Yeah, you ain't gotta go over there every
- 58:57Speaker 1: night for that little side piece of sex he passed out.
- 59:01Speaker 1: I have sex with him whenever he wants to. It's
- 59:03Speaker 1: because he's not good as he thinks. And the reason
- 59:06Speaker 1: y'all have sex is because he ain't as good as
- 59:08Speaker 1: he thinks it. It's because he's just not as good
- 59:11Speaker 1: as he thinks. He isn't bad to hit the part.
- 59:14Speaker 1: I was a virgin when we met it. We had
- 59:15Speaker 1: sex for the first time after we've been dating for
- 59:17Speaker 1: four months. I expected an extraordinary experience, but it was
- 59:21Speaker 1: medioc at best. I had nothing to compare it to
- 59:24Speaker 1: now hold up I hadn't ever had buffalo burger before,
- 59:31Speaker 1: but I know a badass buffalo burger when I'm eating
- 59:33Speaker 1: it all the way down. It don't matter if you
- 59:37Speaker 1: ain't had experience before, you know what bad he is. Yeah,
- 59:44Speaker 1: but when I got hold of some bad Feta cheating,
- 59:49Speaker 1: I knew him some bad ass Feta cheating. I'm not
- 59:53Speaker 1: an expert on all freedom souls. She's a nastas soundfreid
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: On saung. I don't need nobody to tell me it's
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: good ass afreid On song. It's a bad ass sauce
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: right here. All right, listen, hang on, Steve, we'll have
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: barbecue sauce. We're not tasted. At twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: the hour, we'll be back with the strawberry letter. The
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: subject is, he thinks it's way better than it is.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening show, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject is, he thinks
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: it's way better than it is. Between the year old
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: girl to mood in with this man because they over
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: each other house every night. Anyway, she was a virgin
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: till she started dating this man. He's the only man
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: she'd had sexual and they've been having sex now for
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: a minty. She was a virgin when she had sex,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: and she was expecting some spectacler. It was nothing but mediocre.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: It has never improved beyond mediocre. It is consisted steal mediocre.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: He's sitting up, she said up here talking about I
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: guess because it was a virgin, I didn't have nothing
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: to compared to. Don't let yourself off through hook like that.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: A lot of stuff I ain't had, But if I
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: have it, I bet I know if it's bad or not.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: And then nothing. You ain't had nothing compared to except
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: some X rated movies I've seen with my oldest sister.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Told you about sex. Now, since you're a novice, you
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: continue to date him, and then you fell in love
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: with him. He's the perfect man for you, and you
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: won't have sex life to improve. I do it routinely
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: because I know he got knees and I don't want
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: him cheat on me. But it's so damn mediocre. Now
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: hit a part. I have fallen asleep on him a
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: few times while he was doing it, and he didn't notice.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: I ain't that that that is impossible to have it.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: He that has ever happened to me. I ain't bragging,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: but I promise you that ain't happened. Hello, are you
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: what sleep? How the hell you sleep? Or what I'm
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: finna do? Be sleeping? What you're about to do? How
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: the hell are you sleep? And your ankle in my hand?
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: How you sleep? Y'all? Try to figure out how you sleep? Yeah,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: it's too many things gonna happen to him now he try.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: He ain't doing a damn thing. If you to fell asleep,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: he's not doing a damn thing. And I'll tell you
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: what a big problem is. It's a little problem. That's
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: what's wrong. Because if you're going to sleep and he
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: owned you and you sleep, called the big problem you
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: got is really a little problem. I don't know if
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: you can fix that. Recently, I called him watching point,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: and at first it made me a comfortable. Then I realized,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: wait a minute, he might learn a thing or two
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: from the video. So I sat out and I watched
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: a video with it. Then she asked him if he
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: could do some of the stuff the guy was doing.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: He confidently told this girl, he is far more advanced
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: than the pawn star, and that's why you in love
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: with me, you better than a porn star. Did you
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: watch the movie? Is that what you thought you was doing?
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Because it ain't porn star? From the boat Whip a Snapper,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Whip a Snapper. There's a pawn star named whip a Snapper.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: Really yeah, I didn't know that. See say the word
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: say his name, so whipp or snapper, that's his point
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: star name. So now you think you whipper snapper when
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: you ain't whipping no snapper. Your point name gonna be
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: needle threaded, needle stitch. We're gonna give you a different name.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: See listen, man system, You're gonna have to have a
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: conversation with him and say, look, I'm just gonna have
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: to tell you this. I've never been so damned disappointed
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: in my lad. So I'm let's do a small reenactment, Shirley.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: I want you to continually try to bridge the conversation
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: with me, and I'm gonna show you why she ain't
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: getting nowhere with him, just trying to bridge the conversation. Well, um,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: well what baby, Well yeah, that's how that's how I
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: have it. I haven't looked like a well bit here ahead.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Uh well yeah, listen, I want to yeah, yeah, you mean, hell, yeah,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: go ahead, and what I'll be doing. Yeah, I just
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: woke up. I knocked him out. You know, I put
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: who you know, that's what I do. You know, I
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: know you just came to call. I knocked him out.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Now it was during, It was during yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Sometimes you know that what happened? You know, like some
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: some people some fighters getting knocked out during the round.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: You know, you know, you know that first round T
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: k oh, That's what I call that. I call that
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: first round T k oh No, T whoa. There they
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: go watching a movie in the what's boring? The movie?
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: I saw that movie. That dude wasn't doing nothing. That
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: what I told you, I told you I do that
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: all all right down. You know he's something whooper snap whoops.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: Never ain't got nothing on me, boy, big Jack Johnson.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: That was up in the hill. Yeah, please, I heard you.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Pegan to night Instagram. Hey, Junior, Sports Talk is coming
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: up next right after this. You're listening Steve Morning Show.

- 1:06:59Speaker 1: man's gonna be fun games out there, food, you get vaccinated,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: so you know, we're excited to have everybody come on
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: out and you can go to keers Hope. That's k E. R.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: S Dot Hope dot Org keers Hope. I'm sorry, hadn't
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: missed up. What why y'all there doing that? You think
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: Julio Jones will be there by the end. By the end,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: he might be, man. They don't tell him, man, but
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: it's sports news. Man. You know, it's been about a
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: year since, uh, George Floyd died yesterday, and yeah, I
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: just want to say that the Sports border has recommitted
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: themselves to end in social justice, which is big. Um.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: You know they're this season, they're gonna have ways. They're
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: gonna be honoring George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: movement and the great end Racial Judge. But I don't know,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: do you think it's a lot more we could do? Oh?
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: Of course yea for our sports you know, it's all right,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: sports ye sports the brand as much awareness as they can, right, Yeah,
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: starting with yeah, athlete, it's a really going in. In
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: the words of Laura Ingram when she said to shut
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: up and dribble, that ain't happen, doing no more and
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: I like that that the athletes are more aware and
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: they are doing I mean, it was big for the
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: NFL to even play the Negro national anthem before every
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: game last year. That was big, you know, just because
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: you know that that was a huge step in the
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: right direction. So, um, they did release some statements though
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: I do want to read the statement that they did. Read. Um,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: the NBA did say said, one year ago, the que
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: and the George Floyd advanced a global recording around the
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: systematic racism and inspired a movement for social justice. Today
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: and everyday, members of the NBA family and united are
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: stand united and working for change in the future that
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: provides true equality. That came from the NBA Social Justice Coalition,
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: and that was a statement they released. So they are committed. Yeah,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: you know, yeah, the NBA, the w NBA, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: the w NBA. You know, really how long this has
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: been going on, because it's been going back so far.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Muhammad Ali you know what happens. I am you know.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: I mean you you've read the history, you know, and
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: and all what happened years yeah some years, um, you know,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: and then Colin Kaepernick and then now it's like, you know,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: this has got to stop, hopefully in our lifetime. But
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: it just has to hopefully, you know, in our lifetime.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: I would love to say glad that the sports world
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: has not forgotten that how serious this is, and hadn't.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: They do want to be a partner and they recommitted
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: to it. So I love that. Yeah, it affects him,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: It affects all of us, Yes, it does. All right, junior,
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: thank you. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: we're going to talk about the best week to have sex. Oh,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: right after this, every week any data ending with a wife?
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: When did we get off work? You're listening to show?
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: All right, guys, time for some laughter here, and this
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: might just be for our listeners in certain parts of
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: the country, like the northeast or the Midwest. One of
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: the best weeks of the year to have sex, that's
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: what we're talking about. Because it's not too hot, it's
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: not too cold, you can open the windows, you don't
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: need the air conditioner. You don't need to have to
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: worry about sweating too much. Some say, as we get
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: ready to kick off summer, it's going to be too
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: hot for sex. Okay, So the question to you guys,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: to you guys is have you ever had sex without
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: the air conditioner? Is it ever? Hot? And? Hell? I
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: didn't been outside? What are you talking about? Didn't I
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: didn't been in the warehouse. What happens just in the
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: call off? But I didn't made love in a foundry
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: before a foundry Ford Motor Company foundry the foundry card, Yeah,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: it's hot in now. Or they make the cars, they
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: make engine blocks. They pull hot steel into moles and
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: run it through a furnace and then the coolert system.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: The whole foundry hot, no air conditioner. Get her hair
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: was sweated out about the hair gone. Had a helmet on.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: A helmet on. You gotta have a safety helmet. Walk
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: around the planet hot place. They ain't done fall helmet,
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: That's what I was thinking. Football helmet. I didn't like her.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: We ain't gotta kissing nothing. What are we talking about?
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: In a helmet? You can have a face mask on
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: if you want to. I've been in a hot ass
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: club and then made it happen. I don't know what
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: y'all come back. We're in the club. In the club
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: like a joining wall, you know, wall between where the party,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: but on the other side v IP telling the vip
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: shot what the hell you was? Could see you? They
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: couldn't could be section like at the strip club. Yeah,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: that glass right there, that's a different kind of glass
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: at the strip clubs. I don't know. I haven't learned something.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: You see out, but they can't really see, kind of
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: like the interrogation room. You could see, but they can't
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: see you. Oh. So the question was, have you guys
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: ever had sex without air conditioning? I guess the answer
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: to that is yet. I didn't even know. I didn't
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: even know. The ad was a all. I can't tell
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: a little. We're not in here for room conditions. What happened?
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: I mean, projects ain't no central and the project? So
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: what are you doing? Keep the helmet on and you
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: just go back to work when you're done, go back
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: to whatever he was doing. You can't take off wid

- 1:13:13Speaker 1: gotta get back out of here. We gotta build your bucks.

- 1:16:45Speaker 1: seven years old and I'm dating a forty year old

- 1:16:52Speaker 1: few months and we're both over the dating bs and
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: ready to get married. Because of that, he's brutally honest
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: to the point where it's offensive to me. For example,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: on our first date, he said my breath was stinky,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: he said my cooking needs work, and he's told me
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: I'm a terrible driver. I know he's got to truly
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: like me, because if he didn't, he would tell me
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: is this an acceptable way to get to know someone
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: or not? I don't know where you got all this
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: love from your breath stink, you can't cook in your ass.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: He don't like your drive, that's the beginning of it.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: And as you getting married that list onna, bro. I'm
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: just here to tell ye. So if I were you
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: this old, were in love, I would you know we're
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: over the dating game. It's only been how long? Shelly?
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: Oh yeah, just lady, you don't even notice man. A
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: few months is not enough time. Now he's brutally honest.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: What's what's behind that brutal honesty? What? What? What else
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: is brutal? I'm like, yeah, don't you know? So if
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: I were you, I would spend a little bit more
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: time getting to notice man because if he this quick
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: to be this harsh with you, wait till something's wrong.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: It don't sound like you have it. Yeah their first date,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: he only said it one time. According to her, Tiara
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: and Culver City, California, says, I'm in my mid thirties
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: and I've been with a great guy for a few months.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: I'm into polyamory, and my best friend and I are
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: lovers too, but my man doesn't know it yet. She
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: got me into the lifestyle and now I basically recruit
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: guys for her pleasure and mine. For the first time
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: in a long time, I have a guy that I
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: really like. Should I introduce him to my lifestyle and
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: have sex with him and my best friend? Or should
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: I keep this one all to myself? What? I can't
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: advise you this foolishness. I've never seen this workout for anybody.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: I have it now, it may, but I haven't seen
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: it work out for anybody. Somebody gonna want what they
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: want and they ain't gonna want to other person to
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: know it or have it. That's always the case happening.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: So look, why you just go only do your thing.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: You ain't been to hand nobody all to your damn
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: self because you ain't all you want. You see, if
