- 0:07Speaker 1: Come come on, uh, I sure will. Good mording everybody
- 0:17Speaker 1: you're listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 0:21Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey. I got a radio show,
- 0:25Speaker 1: just trying to give God some back, just some back
- 0:31Speaker 1: of what even gave me, just a portion, you know.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Just I'm just trying, man, to to to show some
- 0:39Speaker 1: type of gratitude for all his blessings. I'm just trying to, man,
- 0:46Speaker 1: just just get it right sometimes, you know what I mean.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I mean, man, you just can't. I just can't do
- 0:52Speaker 1: what you wanna do and just live wrong all the time. Man,
- 0:55Speaker 1: you got it. At one point in time, Steve, come home. Man,
- 0:59Speaker 1: come on, man, you could you better? I know you can,
- 1:02Speaker 1: you know, saying and and you know what I had
- 1:04Speaker 1: to do. I had to stop saying I'm gonna try
- 1:06Speaker 1: to do better, and I just had to say, hey, man,
- 1:09Speaker 1: I'm going to do better. You know, trying it's just
- 1:13Speaker 1: to put forth and that and then if it don't work,
- 1:15Speaker 1: well okay. But if you make up in your mind
- 1:17Speaker 1: and I'm going to do something, then trying isn't enough.
- 1:21Speaker 1: It's getting it done is the only thing that matters.
- 1:24Speaker 1: So it's the difference between doing and trying. We're gonna
- 1:27Speaker 1: try to win the game, or we're gonna go out
- 1:29Speaker 1: here to win the game. Now, trying to win the
- 1:32Speaker 1: game means that you could lose. But when you got
- 1:35Speaker 1: in your mind made up, most athletes will tell you
- 1:38Speaker 1: that they go out there with the full intent and
- 1:40Speaker 1: purpose of winning and winning. Only see they don't put
- 1:44Speaker 1: the second place finish on the cover Sports Illustrated. Second
- 1:48Speaker 1: place don't get you there. You you got to win.
- 1:51Speaker 1: And now take it out of the scope of athletics,
- 1:54Speaker 1: but keep it in that type of type of analogy
- 1:57Speaker 1: in life. Man, you just want to You want to
- 1:59Speaker 1: win in life, don't you. I mean, at the end
- 2:01Speaker 1: of the day, don't you want to be on the
- 2:03Speaker 1: cover of Sports Illustrated the life. Don't you want to
- 2:06Speaker 1: be recognized for your hard work? Don't you want, you know,
- 2:10Speaker 1: to be recognized within the bonus structure down at your job.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Don't you want to have your plaque up on the
- 2:15Speaker 1: wall down at your job? I mean most people do.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Some people could care less. Some people don't care about
- 2:21Speaker 1: looking good or being their best, and that's cool. But
- 2:23Speaker 1: I ain't talking to them though, I'm talking to you.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I'm talking to those of you who who who want
- 2:29Speaker 1: to be the best you can be? You know, people
- 2:31Speaker 1: people kill me when they're getting mad at at people
- 2:34Speaker 1: here and he Brown knows and he all up on
- 2:37Speaker 1: the employee of the month man, the dude doing his
- 2:39Speaker 1: job to the best of his ability, and he getting
- 2:41Speaker 1: recognized for it. What that got to do with all
- 2:43Speaker 1: that you're talking about? Cause you ain't up there. It's amazing, man,
- 2:46Speaker 1: how people describe other people's success. He's so lucky, lucky? Hey, man,
- 2:54Speaker 1: don't they kind of get you a little bit when
- 2:55Speaker 1: people call you lucky? When let me tell you what
- 2:58Speaker 1: luck really is, y'all, is when hard work bumps up
- 3:02Speaker 1: into opportunity, When hard work run smack dab up in
- 3:07Speaker 1: the opportunity. Some people call that luck. But hold on,
- 3:11Speaker 1: let's let's think about this. If you wasn't working hard,
- 3:14Speaker 1: an opportunity presented itself, what would you call that? What
- 3:18Speaker 1: you call that a missed opportunity? What you call that
- 3:21Speaker 1: wrong place at the wrong time, or you missed out
- 3:23Speaker 1: on that? But see, when you've been working hard, an
- 3:26Speaker 1: opportunity presents itself and it bumps up into each other.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Now people want to call that luck, But hold up,
- 3:31Speaker 1: here go the part though the day ain't paying no
- 3:33Speaker 1: attention to. Yeah, that opportunity came by, But if you
- 3:36Speaker 1: had not been working hard and the hard work had
- 3:38Speaker 1: not ran up in the opportunity, what would you have? No, sir,
- 3:42Speaker 1: it's not luck, it's work. It is work, because as
- 3:48Speaker 1: a scripture that says, faith without works is dead. Look,
- 3:52Speaker 1: I know I use the same ones all all the time,
- 3:54Speaker 1: but them the ones I know. I mean what you
- 3:56Speaker 1: want me to, You want me lie to, you want
- 3:58Speaker 1: me come on here and tell you man, I've and
- 4:00Speaker 1: studying the Bible. I haven't. I haven't. I haven't, I haven't.
- 4:03Speaker 1: But my mom was a Sunday school teacher. She taught
- 4:05Speaker 1: me enough. Though Now I know different between right and wrong,
- 4:09Speaker 1: just like you do. You ain't gotta you know. Itcused
- 4:12Speaker 1: me when people write a strawberry letter? Am I wrong
- 4:14Speaker 1: for this? You know? Good? Well, look at let's read
- 4:16Speaker 1: your letter? Are you wrong for this? You know you're wrong?
- 4:19Speaker 1: What you don't need? That's to be telling, you know?
- 4:21Speaker 1: But I'm gonna do this anyway. We'll see. Go ahead, though,
- 4:24Speaker 1: do what you wanna do. But you know what, y'all here,
- 4:28Speaker 1: here's the best advice I can give you. This is
- 4:29Speaker 1: what I really came to talk about this morning, but
- 4:33Speaker 1: I got side track because I listened. You know what,
- 4:38Speaker 1: get get out of your own way. So many of
- 4:43Speaker 1: us are blocking our home blessings. We're just in our
- 4:47Speaker 1: own way. We are in our own way. And one
- 4:53Speaker 1: of the most dangerous ways you can get in your
- 4:55Speaker 1: way is to do it your way, to get it
- 4:59Speaker 1: figured your way, and to lock in on your way.
- 5:02Speaker 1: And this is the way it's got to go. Do
- 5:04Speaker 1: you know how many people are blocking their blessing? Do
- 5:07Speaker 1: you know how long I blocked mine? With that mindset
- 5:11Speaker 1: right there? This is how I wanted to happen, This
- 5:14Speaker 1: is how I wanted to go down. This is the
- 5:16Speaker 1: way I'm gonna go about it, And this this what's
- 5:19Speaker 1: gonna happen, lock loaded fire. So I was dead set
- 5:24Speaker 1: on doing it my way. Have you ever talked to people, man, well,
- 5:27Speaker 1: it's just the way I do it. Look, because it's
- 5:30Speaker 1: the way you do it, you think that makes it
- 5:32Speaker 1: the right way. You think jazz, because you'd have thought
- 5:35Speaker 1: on it long and hard, and that's what you really want.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Do you really think that your way is the right
- 5:40Speaker 1: way or could there be a better way? See until
- 5:43Speaker 1: I started listening to God and started paying attention to
- 5:46Speaker 1: his way. Man, I was spending my wheels. Man, I
- 5:50Speaker 1: was out here so determined this how I was gonna
- 5:52Speaker 1: do it. But you know, I had to learn how
- 5:54Speaker 1: to get out of my own way because just because
- 5:57Speaker 1: I could do it my way didn't mean it was
- 5:59Speaker 1: the right way. I had to get out of my
- 6:03Speaker 1: own way. Just get out your way, man, Now, what
- 6:08Speaker 1: what what does that mean? That means see set your goals,
- 6:15Speaker 1: That means have your dreams. That's I'm I'm saying, set
- 6:19Speaker 1: your goals. Man, I ain't saying don't set goals. Listen
- 6:22Speaker 1: to me. Set your goals. What is it you want
- 6:24Speaker 1: to happen? What is it you like to have? What
- 6:27Speaker 1: is it you like to be? What do you aspire to?
- 6:30Speaker 1: Set your goals and set your dreams? Now, take your
- 6:34Speaker 1: goals and your dreams to God and ask God to
- 6:39Speaker 1: show you how. Man, you can save yourself a lot
- 6:43Speaker 1: of pain. Listen to somebody who did it his way
- 6:47Speaker 1: for so long. And when I finally got out of
- 6:50Speaker 1: my way, out of my own way. When you've heard
- 6:54Speaker 1: old people say let go and let God, you've heard
- 6:57Speaker 1: him say that I didn't I didn't get it, and
- 7:00Speaker 1: I got it. Now let go and let God. And
- 7:03Speaker 1: it's amazing little saying. Though now you know you may
- 7:06Speaker 1: not get it now it it took me a bunch
- 7:08Speaker 1: of years to get it too. But when I but
- 7:10Speaker 1: when I took my goals and my dreams and my
- 7:14Speaker 1: vision to God and I said, God, this is what
- 7:17Speaker 1: I hope for, this is what I aspired to, This
- 7:19Speaker 1: is what I want to be, this is why I
- 7:21Speaker 1: would love to get to. Then I said, help me,
- 7:25Speaker 1: show me how, point me in the right direction. Let
- 7:28Speaker 1: me follow your footsteps, guide me and give me a
- 7:32Speaker 1: spirit of discernment. Show me who wrong? Because I meet
- 7:35Speaker 1: people every day. Ain't up to no good with me
- 7:38Speaker 1: every single day. Oh man, man, I can't believe I
- 7:42Speaker 1: want to be to you. Man, the Lord told me
- 7:44Speaker 1: something's gonna happen to me today. Well, see, I talked
- 7:48Speaker 1: to him every day. He did not mention you to me.
- 7:54Speaker 1: He ain't said nothing to me. He didn't tell me
- 7:56Speaker 1: what was gonna happen. In mind. Now, I don't mean
- 7:57Speaker 1: it can't happen because I'm open to it. But it
- 8:00Speaker 1: amazes me when people come up to me. Man, the
- 8:03Speaker 1: Lord wanted me to tell you this. Hold on, man,
- 8:05Speaker 1: I talk to him every day, every day, some days
- 8:11Speaker 1: more than others. I ain't perfect. I missed sometimes, but
- 8:15Speaker 1: I'm on a daily basis talking to him. So really, man,
- 8:19Speaker 1: I'm I'm and I and and and please know I'm
- 8:22Speaker 1: listening as well as I've ever listened before. But but
- 8:25Speaker 1: get yourself together though, see no, your goals and your dreams,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and then let God show you how to do it.
- 8:30Speaker 1: He'll do it. See see you know how you let
- 8:34Speaker 1: him lead you. Listen, Listen, that's all you got to do.
- 8:40Speaker 1: If you're talking to God and you're asking him for help, listen.
- 8:44Speaker 1: But don't go with the first thing that happened. Pay attention,
- 8:47Speaker 1: because here's one way you know it ain't him. If
- 8:50Speaker 1: it's some sin in it, it ain't him. It ain't him.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I don't care. Go down there and tell them this
- 8:56Speaker 1: right here, and then dellustrating them out that ain't him
- 8:59Speaker 1: talking to you. That's not him. You know, it's it's
- 9:03Speaker 1: it's it's it's, it's, it's it's um. It's so important, man,
- 9:08Speaker 1: it's so important everybody, that you get focused, that you
- 9:12Speaker 1: aim for, something, that you dream of, something that you
- 9:15Speaker 1: aspire to something. But it's the most the best thing
- 9:18Speaker 1: you can do. After you do all that, man, get
- 9:21Speaker 1: God involved in it. Man, talk to him. I mean,
- 9:24Speaker 1: why would you not what you got to lose. You
- 9:26Speaker 1: ain't gotta go down there and make no big scene
- 9:28Speaker 1: and and run laps around the church and run up
- 9:31Speaker 1: there and throw yourself on the altar and scream and
- 9:34Speaker 1: flip over and throw money in there. You ain't gotta
- 9:36Speaker 1: do that. This you and God. Man, This you and God.
- 9:40Speaker 1: You know you got to serve and praise him the
- 9:43Speaker 1: way you do it. You gotta let everybody else tell
- 9:45Speaker 1: you highs done. It's a personal relationship. People kill me
- 9:50Speaker 1: if you don't do it this way. If you don't
- 9:52Speaker 1: come here to this church and you don't run around
- 9:53Speaker 1: in this circle and you don't get flipped in, then
- 9:55Speaker 1: you don't turn a somersault, and you ain't saved, and
- 9:58Speaker 1: you ain't swer what did you do? What tongue did
- 10:00Speaker 1: you speak? Hey? Man, you better go have a relationship
- 10:02Speaker 1: with God. See what that's about. You understand a little
- 10:04Speaker 1: body throw you off with all that? All right? All right,
- 10:06Speaker 1: y'all talk to him a little to hear from you today.

- 12:49Speaker 1: the basketball? Okay? And what about children? I rolled back?
- 12:54Speaker 1: What does that mean? I was in the golf car.

- 12:59Speaker 1: I was the gallery. That's the most place. Yeah, pictures, okay, okay,
- 13:05Speaker 1: So let me tell you this. I'm leaving my room
- 13:08Speaker 1: this morning. I don't have the most important thing. I
- 13:12Speaker 1: left my cigars. So I'm I'm on the elevator, I'm downstairs. Yeah,
- 13:18Speaker 1: I ain't got my cigars. So I said, ain't no problem.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Junior got cigars because Junior smoked cigars. Right, I get
- 13:27Speaker 1: down here, I said, Junior, you got some cigars? Now,
- 13:33Speaker 1: I ain't got no cigars. All my cigars in your room.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Why do I need your skigars in my room? I
- 13:42Speaker 1: got plenty cigars. I got cigars for days in my room.
- 13:48Speaker 1: What do you say, stick? Now? I left my cigars
- 13:52Speaker 1: in your rooms? I said, Junior, why would you leave
- 13:55Speaker 1: your cigars in that when we were smoking? This is
- 14:01Speaker 1: a this ain't just ain't a slave camp. You can
- 14:05Speaker 1: actually smoke in other places. So I asked, Junior, did
- 14:10Speaker 1: you have any cigars? And he said, no, No, we
- 14:13Speaker 1: outside outside? We outside, yeah, where you can't can you smoke? Yeah?

- 14:43Speaker 1: you left the cigars. M Why he just told you
- 14:48Speaker 1: that's where we have been smoked. He didn't know he
- 14:51Speaker 1: was supposed to bring them call because we never smoke

- 15:24Speaker 1: left the airport openly, the airport closed at the level.
- 15:30Speaker 1: That's like Andy left the airport open from the customers
- 15:35Speaker 1: was in there. All it did was cost me seven
- 15:37Speaker 1: eight nine pictures. I had to take a picture with
- 15:42Speaker 1: everybody in custom Sure we're open, man, let me get
- 15:48Speaker 1: this sale. I was posing for pictures with everybody in customs.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Three and four photos had girls turned around looking over
- 15:56Speaker 1: their shoulder. I was taking what shots I had to
- 16:01Speaker 1: wait on that date. Mama was in the parking lot.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I'll take a picture with dog. But I had the
- 16:08Speaker 1: accommodate amer because they was so nice to you're playing
- 16:12Speaker 1: that now we come to hate in the islands that
- 16:24Speaker 1: the man who was just been here a week, last
- 16:31Speaker 1: two days had a nervous breakdough don't say that, boy,
- 16:34Speaker 1: Go ahead, lock like I like this one. Go ahead,
- 16:39Speaker 1: hydrated break what they'll make light of that? No, No,
- 16:44Speaker 1: these are jokes. Listen to me. Stop talk worrying about
- 16:47Speaker 1: You can't say nothing about people illnesses. These are joking.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Jillian got sick of selling me. If we don't have him,
- 16:55Speaker 1: we don't even know who the crisis is here. I
- 17:02Speaker 1: tell people all the time, the fact that you got
- 17:04Speaker 1: diabetes ain't got nothing to do with me. A boomerang
- 17:09Speaker 1: got diabetes right now, eat cake. Every day on his birthday,
- 17:15Speaker 1: he drove to the parking lot of the emergency room
- 17:18Speaker 1: to eat his cake. I said, don't why did you
- 17:22Speaker 1: go that? He said, In case I fall out, I'll
- 17:25Speaker 1: be an emergency room target breakdown because you look fine. Fine,
- 17:39Speaker 1: I've overcoming. Hey. When we come back, we have our

- 18:04Speaker 1: to the Internet and apologize the whole nations of people
- 18:08Speaker 1: I forgot about that. I'm so sick of hell. You're
- 18:22Speaker 1: listening to the stew all right, good morning. We are
- 18:27Speaker 1: live from seven Mile Beach in the Cayman Islands, Steve
- 18:31Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. We're here and we're about to do
- 18:35Speaker 1: little known Black history facts. I'm so glad that the
- 18:38Speaker 1: little girl that was in the audience is gone, because
- 18:42Speaker 1: we don't want to confuse huh with actual real black
- 18:46Speaker 1: history facts. And this is crazy mess that we're about
- 18:50Speaker 1: to do. So God is good. I was hesitant to
- 18:55Speaker 1: do it because I didn't want to throw the little
- 18:56Speaker 1: girl off and the little girls that are listening, well,
- 19:01Speaker 1: they ought to be with their mom and school. Somebody
- 19:04Speaker 1: ought to say, don't pay so Tommy, oh, these a
- 19:10Speaker 1: little known Black history moment. It's my turn, Okay, m
- 19:16Speaker 1: all right. This is in the late eighteen hunters. Great
- 19:22Speaker 1: entertainer Lemuel Flanagan, not flan again, Lemuel Flannagan, great entertainer
- 19:30Speaker 1: back then. Now, Lemuel was very recognizable and he actually
- 19:36Speaker 1: went to speak with the eighteen president Ulyst. It's Grant
- 19:42Speaker 1: all right. Now. He went down there to speak with
- 19:45Speaker 1: him because he wanted to have a better relationship and
- 19:49Speaker 1: have better living for black Amererica. Okay, So he went
- 19:55Speaker 1: over there the talk. But he went to the Grand Hotel,
- 19:59Speaker 1: oh to speak with Mr Ulysses's Grant. Now here's the problem. Limu,
- 20:05Speaker 1: Well got a bunch of feedback and flat from Black
- 20:08Speaker 1: amerror calling him coon and shine and things of that nature.
- 20:14Speaker 1: And this right here is to lit my uncle. No,
- 20:18Speaker 1: he is not the first in Black history. It has
- 20:25Speaker 1: been done before because they called Limull coon Limu a
- 20:30Speaker 1: flantican because he went to speak with Ulysius Grant at
- 20:36Speaker 1: the Grand Hotel late eighteen hunters. He had a nisso.
- 20:41Speaker 1: So that's what happened to me. But I want to
- 20:43Speaker 1: see President Trump history repeat this. This is history repeating
- 20:49Speaker 1: itself all over again. Have y'all heard the Clarence Wilson
- 21:01Speaker 1: Paccard class Willson card Um. This happened back in Christmas
- 21:06Speaker 1: of nineteen ninety two. Yeah, this is very important. Clarien's
- 21:13Speaker 1: Willson card was standing in the dough and Felicia Michelle Jackson,
- 21:18Speaker 1: who is the mother of his kids, told the kids
- 21:21Speaker 1: they was not going what they fought. She told me,
- 21:24Speaker 1: he don't buy clothes, he don't buy toys, and he
- 21:29Speaker 1: don't pay to support these kids. Is not going. Clans
- 21:33Speaker 1: was upset to the point where he hollered Machelle Felicia,
- 21:37Speaker 1: Michelle Jackson, this is my kids too, She said, Nope,
- 21:42Speaker 1: you're baby Daddy. Clariss Wilson Card was the first person
- 21:45Speaker 1: to eill be called the baby Daddy, called late Wildfire
- 21:48Speaker 1: back in made a song about it. Everybody knows it now. Well,
- 21:54Speaker 1: I don't know. All we know now is that now?
- 21:56Speaker 1: Because the clans was Card. Therefore that's what we got
- 21:58Speaker 1: baby Daddy. I was wondering, big do well this started.
- 22:11Speaker 1: This is all pre emancipation, okay. A slave name come
- 22:19Speaker 1: Fred Sweatdles. Com Fred Swattles was a runaway slave heading north.
- 22:27Speaker 1: He met a Quaker along the way of fine gentlemen
- 22:31Speaker 1: named Harwell Oats, which later on became the founder or
- 22:38Speaker 1: Quaker Oats, one of the largest oatmeal companies in the
- 22:42Speaker 1: world today. On his way out north, quaker was such
- 22:48Speaker 1: a good man he told com France Fuddles that he
- 22:51Speaker 1: could stay in his barn. He ended up staying in
- 22:56Speaker 1: the barn so long slavery was over. Lincoln signed the
- 23:03Speaker 1: Declaration and everything and slavery was over. He had been
- 23:07Speaker 1: there so many years that him and the Quaker had
- 23:09Speaker 1: become friends so the quaker told, come France, Swattles, you
- 23:17Speaker 1: should call this whole. Come Fred said, no, I'm gonna
- 23:23Speaker 1: make it a byssins. So as slaves started migrating north,
- 23:28Speaker 1: they would come by the very bond that Come France
- 23:31Speaker 1: stayed in, and Come Fred would charge him to stay
- 23:35Speaker 1: in the barn. M This bond later on became known
- 23:40Speaker 1: as comfort sweeten knowledge name after Tom Fred Swattle. Come
- 23:54Speaker 1: Fred Swattles is an Old African name. Confreend Swattles in
- 23:58Speaker 1: Africa mean for sweet, for sweets. There's another great moment, blackness.
- 24:06Speaker 1: I never would have known it. I never would have Yeah,
- 24:11Speaker 1: it's an African words. As they migrated, no, yeah, they
- 24:19Speaker 1: would stop through that charge he charged. It was nice
- 24:23Speaker 1: to laid out. Did they have breakfast in the moon?
- 24:27Speaker 1: That's that's the free breakfast was the only thing they
- 24:31Speaker 1: didn't offer back then. Okay, this is a new upgrade.
- 24:35Speaker 1: He charged for the edge and chip. Okay, yeah, the
- 24:40Speaker 1: chicken that he got the eggs, right, He charging free
- 24:43Speaker 1: slaves to get through that. And if you wanted bacon,
- 24:47Speaker 1: you have to go out back and kill a hall.
- 24:51Speaker 1: But you have to wait a little first seward, so
- 24:57Speaker 1: you had to come back and do that. That's our head.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Mrs you you need all you can come over to
- 25:06Speaker 1: Caylor and don't know how you got right right right,
- 25:10Speaker 1: you're right. Thanks for enlightening us and I want to
- 25:12Speaker 1: thank you. Coming. That was a limnu a flanic. I'm
- 25:17Speaker 1: sorry coon, but flannic enough. Alright, Uh, coming up next,
- 25:28Speaker 1: we'll do run that frank back. We are live from
- 25:32Speaker 1: seven Mile Beach, Comfort Sweets in the Cayman Island, Cayman Island. Okay,
- 25:36Speaker 1: we'll be back. And he was owned by you're listening
- 25:45Speaker 1: all right? Coming up in Bevose Secretary meditation was confirmed.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Miss Anne will give us the latest one that put
- 25:53Speaker 1: up next, run that frank back up. We are live,
- 25:55Speaker 1: you know that from Comfort Sweets, Choice Hotels, seven Mile
- 25:59Speaker 1: Beach and the team. I am and you know what? Yah?
- 26:03Speaker 1: Can everybody stop being surprised at what the president is doing?
- 26:09Speaker 1: Did he not save this? Did he not say everything
- 26:15Speaker 1: he was gonna do? Yeah? What is the shock and horror?
- 26:22Speaker 1: What you don't want him in the country? Is that why? Kanye? Tim? Yeah?
- 26:32Speaker 1: When do the wall start? They started the wall? Yes,
- 26:35Speaker 1: George Lopez said you can build the wall if you
- 26:37Speaker 1: want to. We didn't already began the tunnels, George Lopez.
- 26:46Speaker 1: They don't care what you do. We have already started, tonnely.
- 26:51Speaker 1: We're head of the game, baby, George Lopez. So crazy.
- 26:59Speaker 1: But the ring, the ring, yes, well the ring you
- 27:09Speaker 1: got on the ring? Yeah, this is a story. Hello. Hello,
- 27:21Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach an Yes, this is hi, denied.
- 27:26Speaker 1: My name is Gavin. I'm I'm actually the head jeweler here, diamond.
- 27:29Speaker 1: How you doing. I'm good. You brought your ring in
- 27:32Speaker 1: what was it last week? I actually wasn't here, but
- 27:35Speaker 1: you gave it to one of my sales persons and
- 27:38Speaker 1: you wanted to get it resized as well as get
- 27:41Speaker 1: it a praise. Correct. Yes, yes, yes, and you don't
- 27:43Speaker 1: have to tell him my own Okay, wow, okay, listen,
- 27:50Speaker 1: I actually do the resize the ring. And first of all,
- 27:52Speaker 1: let me be the first to say, um, congratulations. When

- 27:58Speaker 1: Come there welcome regulations to listen. I don't know how
- 28:02Speaker 1: to tell you this now, as far as your praisers concerned,
- 28:05Speaker 1: I've looked at your ring over and over and this
- 28:10Speaker 1: this ring is probably worth maybe fifty excuse me, I've
- 28:16Speaker 1: been I've been in this business for over twenty years.
- 28:18Speaker 1: But you know what, I'm confused on what you just said.
- 28:21Speaker 1: And I understand that what I'm trying to explain to
- 28:22Speaker 1: you is that I've been in this business for over
- 28:24Speaker 1: twenty years. I've seen so many different pieces of jewelry
- 28:27Speaker 1: and this is something that you that you buy late
- 28:31Speaker 1: night on an infomercial for this is a Cubic Saconian
- 28:35Speaker 1: stone and the gold is not real at all. It's like,
- 28:40Speaker 1: wait you wait, you lost me. You lost me as
- 28:43Speaker 1: much money as my fan make and as much money
- 28:45Speaker 1: as my father is putting down when it's winning or
- 28:48Speaker 1: half put down. And understand everything you're saying, But Denise,
- 28:52Speaker 1: honestly do is hold on wait. I need you to
- 28:56Speaker 1: hold on because we need to convict um. Wait wait.
- 29:00Speaker 1: First of all, I can't wait wait wait, wait, wait, wait,
- 29:03Speaker 1: hold hold on, hold on because don't say do you
- 29:09Speaker 1: wait wait wait? What are you trying to what you're
- 29:11Speaker 1: trying to do? Sir? I need I need you to
- 29:14Speaker 1: repeat because what you just said to me, okay, I
- 29:17Speaker 1: need little of personal stuff man, you oh you hit it.
- 29:21Speaker 1: It's personal now. So I need you to hold on okay,
- 29:25Speaker 1: oh she calling man. Okay, thank thank hello, victim. You
- 29:32Speaker 1: can listen to this dual that's on the front. I
- 29:34Speaker 1: want you to hit it that. He just told me. Hold,
- 29:36Speaker 1: what's what's the problem? What you mean, what's the problem?
- 29:38Speaker 1: Hes gonna tell you what the problem is. Gonna hit on, sir,
- 29:40Speaker 1: don't hit on? Hello. Yeah, who's this all right? My
- 29:44Speaker 1: name is Gavin. I'm from Diamonds. And actually your wife,
- 29:48Speaker 1: I mean where your fiance rather, she brought her ring
- 29:50Speaker 1: in to actually be re sized, and we we also
- 29:54Speaker 1: did an appraisal on the ring for her, and actually
- 29:58Speaker 1: the ring is estimated to be only, in the words
- 30:01Speaker 1: of around fifty dollars. Fifty dollars fifty that's what the
- 30:05Speaker 1: man said, dollars. The sir, obviously there's some sort of mistakes. Sir.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Now what you got to say about that fifty that's
- 30:15Speaker 1: that's got to be some kind of mistakes. What did
- 30:16Speaker 1: you say your name was, sir? My name is Gavin.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I work here Dimonds. I'm the head jeweler here. I've
- 30:21Speaker 1: been here for twenty years and there's there's no way
- 30:25Speaker 1: that that ring is worth fifty dollars. I know what
- 30:27Speaker 1: I paid for it. So obviously there's some sort of mistakes.
- 30:30Speaker 1: There's out a mistake. I've been dealing with jury, I've
- 30:33Speaker 1: seen it. I can pretty much look at a ring,
- 30:35Speaker 1: but I actually went into detail on this one, as
- 30:38Speaker 1: I do all of them. And so I promise you
- 30:40Speaker 1: this is probably maybe between forty and fifty dollars for
- 30:44Speaker 1: his workers. Absolutely not. That's that's impossible. How is that impossible?
- 30:48Speaker 1: He's the jeweler. You heard him say, he's been doing
- 30:50Speaker 1: it for twenty He's impossible. I don't understand all the
- 30:54Speaker 1: money that my dad is putting down on this wedding
- 30:56Speaker 1: and you're gonna pay fifty You bought a che rings? No, no, no,
- 31:01Speaker 1: I did not buy t this is this is this
- 31:04Speaker 1: is obviously some kind of mistake. You didn't got to
- 31:06Speaker 1: show that. You show got that right? So what you
- 31:09Speaker 1: got to say for yourself this? You can't. I believe
- 31:13Speaker 1: that that's right, that this is obviously some kind of mistakes. Oh,
- 31:16Speaker 1: it is a mistake, a mistake. And thinking I'm gonna
- 31:19Speaker 1: get married to the man of my dream. I do
- 31:21Speaker 1: have the engagement ring that was purchased and bought for
- 31:24Speaker 1: your wife. I don't think you. I don't think you do.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I don't think you have my ring, because if you
- 31:28Speaker 1: have my ring, you wouldn't be telling me this is
- 31:29Speaker 1: words fifty dollars. I have the ring that your wife,
- 31:33Speaker 1: your fiance brought his wife. Yet hold on, hold on,
- 31:36Speaker 1: the man trying to explain. I'm trying to get to
- 31:38Speaker 1: the bottom. Thank you, So you have I don't think
- 31:42Speaker 1: you have the right ring. I have the right ring.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Or what I'm letting you know, sir, is that this
- 31:46Speaker 1: is something you buy on an infomercial in the two
- 31:49Speaker 1: in the morning. Dude, you know I ain't bottled damn
- 31:54Speaker 1: ring on infomercial. I bought the ring from a reputable establishment.
- 31:57Speaker 1: I have the receipt, I have the certificate to get
- 32:00Speaker 1: so obviously the mistake is on your and where you're
- 32:03Speaker 1: mistakes out here? Search you brought a piece of jump.
- 32:06Speaker 1: He's been doing it all these years. How hell he's
- 32:08Speaker 1: gonna make a mistake where you come off telling me
- 32:11Speaker 1: I bought a piece of jump. I know what I bought.
- 32:13Speaker 1: If there's any mistakes that's been made, it's on your end, world,
- 32:16Speaker 1: where it's not on my end. Yeah. Hold don't, don't, lady,
- 32:22Speaker 1: you want things that my dad is paying too much
- 32:24Speaker 1: money for this wedding. Don't pay you wait till I
- 32:28Speaker 1: tell him this, chill hold on. First of all, I
- 32:31Speaker 1: don't appreciate you. I want to tell you this. This
- 32:33Speaker 1: is a typical case of you trying to partner off
- 32:36Speaker 1: on us because you for fifty bucks the money that
- 32:39Speaker 1: you don't and I get fifty wors of a ring.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Then he's hold on, let me talk to this where
- 32:44Speaker 1: you get talk and I never heard of it. So
- 32:49Speaker 1: your wife knows exactly where that she's the one that
- 32:52Speaker 1: brought the ring. And I'll tell you what. I'm gonna
- 32:54Speaker 1: come down there to see the ring that you're talking about.
- 32:56Speaker 1: If it's not the ring that I gave my girl,
- 32:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna take seventy six hundred dollars out of your
- 33:01Speaker 1: because that's so. Now you want to jump on me
- 33:05Speaker 1: because you bought your wife a piece. Come on, and
- 33:08Speaker 1: you want to put it on me. You don't tell
- 33:10Speaker 1: me what the I'm know what the I spin on
- 33:12Speaker 1: the ring, and you I don't kind of trying to pull.
- 33:15Speaker 1: First of all, I appreciate you coming in my household
- 33:17Speaker 1: trying to mess my and you want to come to
- 33:18Speaker 1: me with this. I know the ring betta be real.
- 33:22Speaker 1: If I were you, miss Deniece, I would not marry
- 33:24Speaker 1: somebody that's gonna be I'm coming. I'm looking for your
- 33:27Speaker 1: pocket and you know what, you don't get the ring
- 33:30Speaker 1: and a right me and you're gonna go in it?
- 33:32Speaker 1: Can I say one more thing to both of you?
- 33:33Speaker 1: All better? I tell you what if they say, did
- 33:35Speaker 1: I want to hear me? And you're gonna have some
- 33:37Speaker 1: more problems. This is nephew telling me from the Steve
- 33:40Speaker 1: Arvin Morning Show. Y'all just got prank. But the niece's
- 33:43Speaker 1: sister that that why she ain't got no man to
- 33:52Speaker 1: be man. Wow, that's how cool time is. You're about
- 33:59Speaker 1: to start. I'm sorry, baby, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I
- 34:08Speaker 1: gotta ask you something. What is the baddest radio show
- 34:12Speaker 1: in the Wow? You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Mommyby alright, alright, this weekend? This weekend, Steve, as you
- 34:31Speaker 1: well know, the weekend before Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day is Tuesday.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Yes you have to tell us that story. But Valentine's
- 34:42Speaker 1: Day is coming up on Tuesday. So we have a
- 34:46Speaker 1: question for you. How did you know your mate the
- 34:50Speaker 1: one you're with right now? Was the one call us
- 34:57Speaker 1: or here we go, let us know she was found out?
- 35:04Speaker 1: What that has happened to me twice? Yeah, we might
- 35:09Speaker 1: even like that one a little better. Yeah. Yeah. And
- 35:14Speaker 1: it's a busy news day, especially with the horrific storms
- 35:17Speaker 1: yesterday that affected our neighbors in New Orleans. So so
- 35:21Speaker 1: Steve introduced Steve. Thanks everybody down there, I envy you. Okay,
- 35:29Speaker 1: this is and trip with the news. Here we go
- 35:31Speaker 1: with the bad stuff. Three judge panel of the Ninth
- 35:33Speaker 1: Circuit Court of Appeals heard pro and con arguments yesterday
- 35:36Speaker 1: by telephone about a Seattle judges ruling that halted the
- 35:40Speaker 1: Trump administration's ban on immigrants and refugees from mostly Muslim countries.
- 35:44Speaker 1: The lawyers for the president made their case first, and
- 35:47Speaker 1: then Washington's state solicitor argued in favor of the judges injunctions.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Judgment was well within the president's power as delegated to
- 35:54Speaker 1: him by Congress, and it is constitutional, as the court
- 35:58Speaker 1: in Boston and Hallam recently held, it has always been
- 36:03Speaker 1: the judicial branch's role to say what the law is,
- 36:05Speaker 1: and the serve as the check on abuses by the
- 36:08Speaker 1: executive branch. That judicial role has never been more important
- 36:12Speaker 1: in recent memory than it is today. Of course, executive
- 36:14Speaker 1: branch is the president A so far no decision on
- 36:17Speaker 1: the matter from the nice Circuit court. That decision may
- 36:19Speaker 1: be handed down today. By the way, the president's choice,
- 36:24Speaker 1: all of my friends parents, Mohammed Mohammed and Oliver Mohammed,
- 36:30Speaker 1: don't go nowhere. Thank you. Not come back in here.
- 36:37Speaker 1: You haven't been to your last kid's play. I just
- 36:42Speaker 1: wanted to say that. Go ahead, okay, thank you Steve
- 36:45Speaker 1: for that nice news addendum, Okay the president. By the way,
- 36:48Speaker 1: the president's choice with Secretary of Education was confirmed yesterday,
- 36:51Speaker 1: but Betsy Divos was only okayed after Vice President Mike
- 36:55Speaker 1: Pennce cast a tie breaking vote on fifty the Senate
- 37:01Speaker 1: being equally divided, the vice president votes in the affirmative
- 37:05Speaker 1: and the nomination is confirmed. This was the first time
- 37:08Speaker 1: in US history, by the way, folks, that a vice
- 37:10Speaker 1: president had to break a tie vote on a cabinet nomination.
- 37:12Speaker 1: This is the first time that ever got down to
- 37:15Speaker 1: the nitty gritty emergency crews as you guys are talking,
- 37:19Speaker 1: still checking out what's left with New Orland, New Orleans neighborhood,
- 37:21Speaker 1: mostly the ninth Ward was affected, which Governor John Bill
- 37:24Speaker 1: Edwards says was pummeled yesterday by a wide and powerful tornado.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Believe it or not. So far this morning there have
- 37:30Speaker 1: been no deaths reported, about forty injuries. But luckily so
- 37:33Speaker 1: crossed yes, praise God and crossed your fingers. There also
- 37:36Speaker 1: sad news. Comedian Professor Irwin Corey has died at age
- 37:40Speaker 1: one o two of you remember him. Professor Corey called
- 37:42Speaker 1: himself the world's foremost authority. Why does a chicken cross
- 37:45Speaker 1: the road? Well, actually it's not a chicken as a
- 37:48Speaker 1: rooster that's looking for a chicken. I see. Why is
- 37:53Speaker 1: it that women don't have whiskers? You been going out
- 37:56Speaker 1: with the wrong girls. He was one and two years old.
- 38:01Speaker 1: And by the way, everybody today is National Boy Scout
- 38:03Speaker 1: today and National Opera days. It's also laughing at Rich Day,
- 38:18Speaker 1: which is kind of the same thing. Back to the
- 38:20Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Boarding show. Laughing and we in the came.
- 38:26Speaker 1: They have birds down here. They got these black birds
- 38:28Speaker 1: down here that are actually have taken over they are
- 38:35Speaker 1: these birds actually fly on your table. Why you eat?
- 38:38Speaker 1: That's what black birds do? And just walk around like
- 38:41Speaker 1: they got rights. And obviously no one has taken a
- 38:46Speaker 1: fist to this. So these birds is bold. They just eat,
- 38:48Speaker 1: they eat, they they're eat off your plate. I got
- 38:54Speaker 1: to do with the birds because they're black. Really, I'm
- 39:00Speaker 1: just gonna go on and say they don't come on
- 39:01Speaker 1: my balcony. No more, I'm not gonna say why. Let's
- 39:05Speaker 1: just say I sent a clear message that I will
- 39:09Speaker 1: not be disturbed while I'm eating my food or my
- 39:13Speaker 1: balot do sound like nothing. This bird went back and
- 39:18Speaker 1: told all the resident Hey, the black dude is tripping
- 39:25Speaker 1: out allowing all this foolishness we've been doing. I bent
- 39:30Speaker 1: that his toast one time and he tripped unnecessarily. Tell
- 39:39Speaker 1: him about the burials today. While we were having brokest
- 39:42Speaker 1: only if it's a nice story story. We're sitting outside
- 39:48Speaker 1: eating right, and we were under this overhang, and it
- 39:54Speaker 1: was we were just sitting there, and all of a
- 39:57Speaker 1: sudden I felt a little went bottle of my arm
- 40:00Speaker 1: and I looked. I wiped it off, and then all
- 40:03Speaker 1: of a sudden it was some more west spots just
- 40:06Speaker 1: all on our table and beat Tommy and Calhoun. We're
- 40:10Speaker 1: about to go play golfing and it's just water just
- 40:13Speaker 1: splashing on us. And I'm looking up and I don't
- 40:16Speaker 1: see it, and I'm looking around. It ain't raining. He
- 40:18Speaker 1: thought somebody was spitting on That was a and I'm
- 40:22Speaker 1: finna go upstairs. It was a gutter at the overhang
- 40:26Speaker 1: field with water and a bird was in there taking
- 40:29Speaker 1: a bath. He was just splashing water. I'm talking about
- 40:34Speaker 1: all over our table. I'm talking about, you know, a
- 40:36Speaker 1: good a good twenty seconds like just rain on our
- 40:40Speaker 1: table shop. So we couldn't eat because we had bird
- 40:46Speaker 1: on your head? All right, what's the question one more time? See?
- 40:52Speaker 1: How did you know it was your mate? That your
- 40:54Speaker 1: mate was the one? I never asked the question, Yeah,
- 40:57Speaker 1: but you said, or how did you know your mate
- 41:01Speaker 1: was the war? Oh? What made you think it was
- 41:07Speaker 1: the war? You know? Because I think everybody got that
- 41:12Speaker 1: story in them. So let's take some calls eight seven

- 42:16Speaker 1: gentlemen who didn't started taking her for granted. Listen to me.
- 42:21Speaker 1: If you have a son that's dating a girl, your
- 42:25Speaker 1: wife cannot get the same gift that that little girl.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Get that, right, Yeah, she can't. She can't get the
- 42:42Speaker 1: same box. Again. She didn't gave you children a life
- 42:49Speaker 1: loving all that, and then you show up with the
- 42:52Speaker 1: same box your son and bought his eighteen year old girlfriend.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Ain't done nothing. And so I'm just letting you know, folow,
- 43:02Speaker 1: don't buy your boo the same give you getting your wife.
- 43:06Speaker 1: You don't want to do that. We're still in the
- 43:08Speaker 1: boo that seven newly married man, you're still doing that
- 43:13Speaker 1: helping people. Don't buy your boot the same. You know
- 43:16Speaker 1: you don't want to do that either. I'm not helping nobody.
- 43:21Speaker 1: He's gonna get killed maybe this year. Well you need
- 43:24Speaker 1: to say that though quiet as it's kept. I hate
- 43:26Speaker 1: to tell you all that what because I got a partner.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Just people need to notice everything the same. His mistress
- 43:38Speaker 1: and his wife had the exact same in the movie.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Was dress now way deeper than that? What you're from
- 43:52Speaker 1: your talking about? Head to more than that? A car
- 43:56Speaker 1: broa wait, huh, tell me break it down from it? Please?
- 44:04Speaker 1: Something big? Because the look on his face, the ring,
- 44:09Speaker 1: I say that right, the rain, look at your face.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Steve Harvey listened to me, calls everything call. So when
- 44:18Speaker 1: he left home it was like he was at home.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Do you hear me? Same everything? Oh my gosh, okay
- 44:34Speaker 1: wait wait, wait back up. So the furniture in the
- 44:37Speaker 1: mistress is the same furniture at his house, his face,
- 44:45Speaker 1: the same car he bought his wife. It's the same
- 44:48Speaker 1: car he bought his mistress. Kidding what about everything? So
- 44:58Speaker 1: everything do they run the one another? Had his bathroom
- 45:02Speaker 1: set up just like his bath frood at home. The
- 45:06Speaker 1: towns and everything same toothbrush in the same place. He
- 45:13Speaker 1: didn't change. Change man never never understood the theory. Did
- 45:20Speaker 1: he get busted? Ever, let me explain that is not
- 45:27Speaker 1: a woman living who is married, whose husband has a
- 45:33Speaker 1: long term mistress and she don't know it. She may
- 45:37Speaker 1: not want to face it, she may be trying to
- 45:42Speaker 1: rationalize it away. But you know, because something may right man,
- 45:47Speaker 1: because women have intuition and it really does work, and
- 45:51Speaker 1: that's why men shouldn't cheat. But the problem is y'all
- 45:56Speaker 1: don't trust your intuition, and you let the stuff go
- 45:59Speaker 1: on far too long and you end up doing way
- 46:01Speaker 1: more hurt than you could. You would just get hurt
- 46:03Speaker 1: right away and get it away. I need to help it,
- 46:06Speaker 1: you know. Wishing talk then wishing. It's intuition. What I
- 46:11Speaker 1: say in a wishing, it's what you're doing to you
- 46:15Speaker 1: in a wishing. Right now, you're wishing you had a brain.
- 46:21Speaker 1: That's called in a wish. All right, butterfly is coming up,
- 46:28Speaker 1: and we're gonna go to the phones as well. What's
- 46:30Speaker 1: the question? Okay, it's too late for the butterfly. He
- 46:35Speaker 1: can't come. He didn't come to the Cayman, did he hear? Definitely?
- 46:40Speaker 1: Here h Steven, you're like you the phone. I like
- 46:46Speaker 1: the way you're beautiful and just talk about something. Well,
- 46:52Speaker 1: you're jor never let me get to play with your
- 46:55Speaker 1: don't play. But I mean you guys do that. You
- 46:57Speaker 1: and junior time me do that now. But earlier they
- 47:02Speaker 1: were doing this the facts of black history. Oh yeah,
- 47:07Speaker 1: little black history. But y'all never do the good history
- 47:10Speaker 1: like um, did y'all know about sugar boy Melvin jack
- 47:15Speaker 1: Say no, what about he? The first slave required director?
- 47:30Speaker 1: He and you know they originated the song still Away.
- 47:33Speaker 1: They did that. I went old man the rivers either
- 47:36Speaker 1: sounds that they wrote swingelouds sweet Chrea. I mean they
- 47:42Speaker 1: used to go from um Plantat and Plantaton neighbor singing
- 47:45Speaker 1: on Sundays. They were the beautiful burlout um bondage boys.
- 47:56Speaker 1: They were good. They was really good. From what I understand,
- 47:58Speaker 1: they went. They had was his name again check up
- 48:02Speaker 1: buying me up in Jackson Boy. Yeah, it's the beautiful
- 48:08Speaker 1: burlout bondage boys. And they used to go from planet
- 48:10Speaker 1: in the plantation in st. Why did they call him
- 48:12Speaker 1: sugar boy? He was a sweet person. He was weird sweet,
- 48:20Speaker 1: but anyway, he sung out and then you know the
- 48:21Speaker 1: song as soon they will be done, Well they're done
- 48:25Speaker 1: the world. Yeah, well that's when they got it. That's
- 48:29Speaker 1: where my hell you got it from. It was from
- 48:31Speaker 1: the beautiful Burlout bondage boys. All of their roads were
- 48:36Speaker 1: in burla very itchy centimation, but they bade it through it. Wow.
- 48:43Speaker 1: All right, and that's this black history from eugen Okay,
- 48:47Speaker 1: little little facts that you need to now so big

- 1:02:08Speaker 1: if you don't think drinking in seriously mistaken. You don't
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: think this boy and his super Bowl party at the
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: chateau was not so full he couldn't swallow another ounce
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: of alcohol that may have a nervous breakdown, because that's
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: what he said happened, well, alcohol poison probably where he
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: was my brother when he was living. He he actually,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: uh yeah, became immune to alcohol poise. Yeah, he just alright,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: you ready, here we go. Subjects got turned out by
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: a cougar. Dear Stephen Shirley. I am a forty five
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: year old single man, and recently my mama's sixty five
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: year old best friend asked me to come by her
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: house to do some handiwork. Well, after doing some yardwork,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: she asked me to come inside to get some water
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: and take a break. I noticed she was in her bathrobe.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: She said she was about to take a shower and
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: I could join her if I wanted to. I was
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: in a slump, so I went for it. Tommy. Mind you,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: she maybe sixty, but she is fine as heck, and
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: I've always had a crush on her. She put it
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: on me like I ain't never had it put on
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: me before. It's been two months now, and I think
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: I'm in love with her. Here's the problem. Now, she
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: wants to tell my mama that we've been messing around
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: what should I do? My mama will kill me? Okay,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: your mother will kill you at forty five? Really? Uh wow?
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: I mean I like the fact that you respect your
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: mom's opinion and everything. But you are grown. You're forty
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: five years old, which means you could do whatever and
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: whoever you want to do. I mean, if it's real,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: you gotta do that. Follow your heart. I mean, it's
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: only been two months though, Okay, so let's slow this
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: whole thing down. It's only two months. Why is she
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: so eager to tell her business to your mom anyway?
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: I don't know. Well, they're best friends. I mean, usually
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: tell your best friend you know about your man and
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: about your relationships and stuff like that. That this is
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: a different set of circumstances here. I think she's way
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: too grown to be telling, uh, your mom her business
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: because I don't know. I mean, is your you said
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: your mom will kill you, She's not gonna take it. Well,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: so I think it's too early, and uh, she doesn't
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: need to tell. And you guys just need to see
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: where this relationship is gonna go. Then if it goes somewhere,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: it then tells Steve. First of all, let's start at
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: the bottom of the letter. Okay, now she wants to
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: tell my mama that we've been messing around. What should
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: I do when my mama will kill me? Your mama
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: gonna kill huh. That's where the murder gonna come in. That. See,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: your mama has a friend. Her friend started sleeping with
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: her son. Women always consider their children their babies throughout life.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: She gonna kill her friend because she already noticed story.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: You forty five years old. Recently your mama sixty five
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: year old best friend and asked me to come by
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: the house do some handy work. Why is that always
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: to kill? How old people? House always broke? Come by
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: and do some handy work. Well, after doing some yark work,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: she asked me to come inside for some water. Right
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: that another poet statement? Why just are that you ain't
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: got nothing else in here? And eliminade what we're in
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: here for water and take a break nothing? She ain't
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: made that. This is another poverty statement. I noticed she
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: was in her bathroom. She says, she's about to take
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: a shower, and I could join her if I wanted to.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Right there, he has to go. For those of you
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: out there is wondering, but why did he go in there.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: He don't have no choice. He has to go. See
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: when you invite a man to do something. Wait, you're
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: saying he had to go to the shower, get in
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: the shower. He had no choice. It's like a dawn.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: He could say no, he could showers like a down.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: It's an insult to our manhood. I'm no, you won't
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: be in here. Oh you don't take a shower, or
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: you're flattered. You think I ain't gonna get him in
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: here and take this water with you. Let's oh, now
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: he ran in there. She's sixty five, but she find this. Heck,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: I've always had a crush on her. She put it
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: on me like I ain't ever had me on me before.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Let me warn you something about older women. That's that
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: old sixty five. A lot of times when you're loving
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: on him, thank you, something special going on, But it's
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: really in your head. Cause that liniment a woman got
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: liniment on and lilliment. It takes you in a different place.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: It's ben gay all this is an African when its own.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: She got so nick and you just got all these
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: different fragrances and and that liniment does something get you
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: a little high? Yeah, if you ever just want to
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: free high, go to drug store, just open and just smell.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Its me refreshed. It's very ups asp for cream, Porto,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: Zone King all this stuff. Well, yeah, what's you smell that?
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: It has an effect on that. Yeah, it's a luri.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: It's like it's like when you're at a spa and
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: they like incense. They have incense at a spa, they
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: have all and what's the what's the freakmance to be
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: in the lavender? Lavender? Lavender is always in the steam,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: even in the man steam. I was in the man
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: steam room recently and the guy came in there and
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: set out naked with that lavender smell. I had to
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: get up, walk out. You don't want that wait one
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: more time because I just want to make sure we
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: got this. So when a woman asked you to take
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: a shower, you have to gotta go. Gotta go because
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: it's almost a threat. You want a backwasher, You ain't
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: man enough, Just like a threat. That's why most men
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: end up cheating because it was like a dab what
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: you're gonna You're gonna come only me a thing, ain't
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: not gonna have. Your competitive nature takes over. Yeah, it's
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: just a shower. You can shower at home and not
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: say no nobody, nor to not say no excitement. It's
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: a woo. Always have a choice. So okay, when you
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: have been calmed. So I was just about to take
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: a shower, would you like to join me? What you got?
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: I'm just thinking, no, it would be good, right, yeah,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: it would. It probably be the best thing. But you
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: can't as a man. You're not wired that way until
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: you get old. I'm learning something carling you til you
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: get the older. You don't know how to say that.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: I'm I'm married enough. You don't know where in the world.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna lose all God this day, hear me, because
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: you won't take a bad getting everybody there. So you
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: would say no, but right now I don't. But the
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: younger Steve would be all up in there. I'm on
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: my third name, Steve show All right, we're back. We're
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: in the middle of this letter. Uh strawberry letters. Subject
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: got turned out by a cougar. Turns out all they
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: have to do is ask you to go in the
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: shower and uh it. Yeah, you know, I try to help.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: My job has always been to help women out. I
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: have been a champion for women. Ever since I ever
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: since I could, I've had a mother, both my sisters
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: was older. All I've known is how to treat women
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: and h washing well. You don't go on the shower
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: to get clean. Okay, stop asking your man to take
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: these baths. And ain't nothing connected to the bath. We
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: don't like taking baths without the promise of something connected
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: to this bath. For starters, your bathwater is too hot,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: the ladies. If you're gonna draw bathwater and you can
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: end up putting potatoes and carrots in it, it's not
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: We don't want that. We have things that hurt when
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: it touched hot water. And y'all have y'all water. So
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Margrey always baby, come on getting the back. But we
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: got a big, big tub, you know, And I don't
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: want to get in there because I don't look. You
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: got celery in here. We got cats floating around at him.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: All we need is meat, and the meat can't beat me,
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: my wife. Water be so all right. Chicken in the
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: shower sometimes, Steve, I've got to have it harder, Okay,
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: Now I can't stands attention. The strawberry and got turned
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: out by Couger forty five year old single man whose
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: mother's best friend invited him to take a shower. She's
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: sixty five, he forty five. He says it's the best
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: he's ever had. The problem they got now is she
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: put it on him like he's never had it before.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: It's been two months now. He thinks he in love
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: with her. But here's the problem. Now. She wants to
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: tell her mama that we've been messing around. What should
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: I do? My mama will kill me. First of all,
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: your mama gonna kill huck. Let's get that out of
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: the way, because once you start dating a woman's son,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: she mad at you. Now a lot of men. I
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: think that this is gonna be wonderful because this woman
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: can do some things to you that you've never had
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: done before. But there's also the other side. While y'all
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: loving on each other and everything, if you move into
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: some things you gotta consider because there is a twenty
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: year age difference. That's two generations. Y'all's music is different.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: You don't know who the hell Nack King Coley. You
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: ain't Noboddy Holly concerts, How they hw they, how they hope,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: don't mean nothing to you. She just tears coming down
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: her face when this is gonna and now you don't
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: see boy, you y'all, you ain't ever had a fortified Yeah,
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: you ain't never bought a quarter back. You don't know
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: what a record player is. She got all that your teeth,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: don't pull it in and out. There's the stuff you
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: gotta be ready for when you take these women and
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: ain't told you everything. She got an all peak card,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: y'all in the restaurant. She don't want to get a discount.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: You're sending up that playing full right, man. So as
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: you get into this relationship, you gotta understand what is
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: it doing. It's more than just y'all got to quit
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: looking at the physicality of it. A relationship is everything,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: and that's what you gotta prepare for. You're gonna be
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: going to the store and you don't know what I'll
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: linament is Brooks snow just because you all right, are
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: you done? You're quite done? Is coming up with our
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: national headlines and news. We'll be back. You're listening all
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: of that. It's next Tuesday. Don't forget that, guys. And
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: uh what I was talking to my wife yesterday and uh,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: she said, baby, when am I gonna see you, and
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: so I said, well, when I leave the Caymans, I
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: have to go to h l A on Thursday tomorrow
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: because I shoot Celebrity Family Feud all weekend. And she said, well,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: when am I gonna see you? I said, well, Monday.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: I gotta do a satellite media too, for Green Dot,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: for these commercials I gotta shoot. She said, okay, Steve,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: But when am I gonna see you? I said, And then, baby,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: I gotta go straight back to Chicago because the talk
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: show tapes Tuesday morning. I gotta do the radio I said, so, Baby,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: now the whole family is going to l A to
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: play Celebrity Family Feud the following weekend. She said, but
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: when am I gonna see us? Turn out and out aggravated. Yeah,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: because she keep asking, she said, okay, so you're gonna
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: be stupid, huh, I said, baby, what she said Valentine's
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: Day is too. I keep asking you when am I
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: gonna see you? You can't seem to get it together,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: So I'm just trying to save you before you make
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: me mad on Valentine and ain't said nothing to me
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: and act like you don't want to see your wife.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: So tell you you're gonna make that adjustment. Hell yeah,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: you think I'm stupid? Yeah yeah, I'm saying because if
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: you don't do Valentine So Monday, when I get through
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: shooting this commercial, Yeah in l A, I gotta stop through.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: I don't know. I can't because she wh I'm not
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: follow me if I hadn't hard introduced methanity. Lady, Jimmy
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: history is miss and true. Thanks Steve Shirley. Call everybody
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: out there, this is a trip with the news and
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: miss you. In Louisiana, emergency crews are still checking what's
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: left of the Ninth Ward in New Orleans, which Governor
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: John Bell Edwards says was pummeled yesterday by that wide
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: and powerful tornado. It is amazing how that tornado operated.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: And it kind of bounced back and forth across the hallway.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: It didn't just pursue a straight line, and then it
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: would jump over certain structures and land on others. But
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: but the width of the devastation was unlike any that
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: I have seen before. At last count that some forty
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: people reported hurt, but so far no deaths report, at
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: least not yet. However, I thought you say many people
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: came home from work yesterday to find their homes just
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: torn apart. A three judge panel Ninth Circuit Court of
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: Appeals heard pro and con arguments by phone yesterday about
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: that Seattle judge is ruling that to halts the Trump
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: administration's ban on immigrants and refugees. So far, no decision
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: on the matter has been made. We're expecting perhaps before
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: the end of the week. President Trump's choice with Secretary
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: of Education was confirmed yesterday, but Betsy Divoce was only
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: okay after the Vice President, Mike Pence, cast a tie
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: breaking vote. And this was the first time in history
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: that a vice president had to do that on the
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: cabinet pick. It was all about snow, and I'm telling
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: you a lot of first hey, it was all about
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: snow and confetti. His fans swelled along Super Bowl Parade
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: route in Boston yesterday for the New England Patriots. It
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: was the fifth Super Bowl win for coach Bill Belichick
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: and quarterback Tom Brady, who spoke to the crowd about
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: the team serious come from behind victory over the Falcons,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: and I guess he'd bring that sucker home. Yeah, he
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: did bring that sucker home. By the way, take a
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: Cheeto's break with Chetos. Yeah, believe it or not, somebody
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: has been one hundred thousand dollars on eBay for a Cheeto. Apparently,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: this particular Cheeto looks like the gorilla Harambe, who was
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: you know killing Remember of the inattentive couple let their
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: child into the cave and even though the child was
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: removed safe, that they killed poor Harambe. Anyway, and I
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: need to tell you about some ten thousand people voted
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: for Harambe in this last election. Okay, go figure. But anyway,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: all I know is I love Cheetos much much chet
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: shaped like Harambee, the gorilla they got shot. And somebody
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: has paid a hundred thousand dollars for that Cheeto. That's crazy.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: You can get a gorilla for thirty thousands, have your
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: damn harambeet house and call him everything. Steve Harvey, all right,
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: We're live from seven Mile Beach in the Cayman Islands.

- 1:20:38Speaker 1: on my balcony. I'm just gonna tell you. I made
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: an example out of him, and word got out. Don't
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: fly up on the black dudes back because he tripped.

- 1:28:13Speaker 1: Because me and my girl, well, we've been knowing each

- 1:28:24Speaker 1: wife now. And I know she's the one for me
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: because I gave her one of my kidneys. WHOA, so
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: you ain't leave you gave her one? I gave all
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: kidney Mr Harvey one of my kidneys. But George and

- 1:28:46Speaker 1: well he was a fool because I ain't get I

- 1:29:09Speaker 1: I'm saying I got sick of sette. I can't get
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: you in one of man. Oh yeah you have it?
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: Oh yeah, don't nobody, won't you. I'd rather go on
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: to see if I can make it without a kid
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: and Junior kidding you start at hand? No, damn price, Ye,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: what's wrong with Steve? Take it out? You guys embarrassing
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: me all the time. All right, let's go to line
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: eight and talk to Jonathan. Hey Jonathan, Yes, yes, sir,
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: uh sorry to wake up Jonathan. Yes, how did you
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: know when you met your girl? How did you know
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: she was a one? Steve? I knew she was the
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: one because of all everything that we went through. First
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: of almost, let me start from the beginning. Um, I've
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: been following her on Facebook for three years. She's a singer.
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: I've been following her. You know, I would like her
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: uh pictures here and there. I would see her at
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: different events. So when I found out, you know, she
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: was singing somewhere, Steve, I put on the best cologne,
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: A canfine. I put it on the best blaze acafin
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: and I went because I met her in church, so
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: I went. I heard a sing, we worshiped, and from
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: there on I walked up to her. She's a very
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: private person and you know, everybody don't get a chance
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: to talk to her or she's very private. So I
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: went up to her. I introduced myself. I said, Hi,
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: how are you doing. I grabbed the hand, I said,
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: how you doing? My name is Jonathan, and if you
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: don't mind, I would like to take you out, and
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: I would like to, you know, take you out on
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: the date. So fast forward. We went through so much,
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: We've been through so much, I can't even get all
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: into it. But she stayed after everything that we went through,
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: we went through some child some tribulations, and she stayed.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: So as of October this year, the twenty second and
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: the Sunday, we will be getting married. You did something. Yeah,
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: I could admit I did some things, but I'm proud
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: to say that I learned, I grow from and I
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: can see myself our relationship as being Steve and Margie's
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: because she enhanced me. She enhanced my my intellect. She
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: enhanced my wardrobe, and you know she looks out for me,
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: and she just don't say that just because she means it.
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: So I said, one day, I'm going to have a
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: chance to tell the whole world how much April Ricks
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: means to me. So I get today is the day
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: that April Ricks means the means the world to me.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: She's my heart. I can't breathe without it, I can't
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: walk with We're like either without her. That's how you
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: that you gotta feel that way about somebody's daughter. For you, guy,
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: you don't feel that way. You're supposed to feel that
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: way about somebody's brought up. But if you can't breathe,
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: but good is you? You're dad. He can't breathe without
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: so he went. If he ran to the stole, then
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: what But she ain't left him. He's talking about trying
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: to live without the woman, something obviously don't know nothing about.
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: He's really stupid. I don't know why. Girl and the
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: Caymans the country. It's national. It's not just the message.
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: All right. Uh, let's go to line four and talk
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: to Jennifer out of Texas. Hey, Jennifer, Yeah, how are
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: you doing? This morning. Hey, Jennifer, how are you? Jennifer?
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: How did you know that your guy wasn't one? I'm
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: I heard a voice, not an audible voice, but just
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: like a voice, you know when it comes out of
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: your head. And I knew it was from the Lord,
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: and he said, that's the man you're gonna marry. And
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: the first thing Lord say that to you, I did, Yeah,
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: where were you? Absolutely did? Now let me ask you
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: where were you? I was at a golf course. I
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: had signed up for golf, talking to God on the
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: golf course. No, I didn't make a man. I was
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: talking to him yesterday. Shot here, I'm married a pro.
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: I met him at a golf course. I was leaving
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: out the door and thanking him for let me use
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: the phone. I turned back and I heard the voice
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: in my head, that's the man you're gonna marry. And
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: the first thing I thought was, I'm gonna marry a
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: black man. Oh, let's talk about Wait a minute. I
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: was fourteen. Has a question for you? You were fourteen
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: when we not yes, and he's black and you're not.
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: I'm not. And at fourteen, God told you that you
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: was gonna marry black man. No. Mary No, I didn't.
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: Course that was a lord huh talking to a fourteen
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: year old girl. No, I said, he told me that
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: when I was fourteen, and we didn't get married till
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: I was twenty four. Well, okay, because you got married
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: at fourteen, that wasn't the lord answer the case? Yeah,
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: oh I got So did you marry him, Jennifer, Yes,
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: as I said, and we've been there. It will be

- 1:35:00Speaker 1: was twenty four. Twenty three years they've been married. All right.
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: So you are you in your forties now I'm forty seven.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: Are you cooking greens? Nice? I've been choking greens all right,
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: yams and everything. Huh. Oh, I got it. How your

- 1:35:28Speaker 1: Now he is fifty two? What my husband is fifty
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: two and I'm seven? Oh? I thought she said sixty
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: two and you was fourteen when you met him. Yeah,
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: that's fifty. Well if you was fourteen and he's fifty two,
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: he was nineteen and you was fourteen? Yes, did he
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: say something to you homework or something? I think the

- 1:41:04Speaker 1: surfboards next story. That's the noise you hear. That's the
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: guy making a surfboard. Is real island over here? Yeah?
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: Everything is. So we have another story from you coming
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: up right. How did you know she was the one?
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: Or another date story? Oh, y'all, in hell, you're gonna
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: tell us one. He's bad relationship on him? It was
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: that bad. Yeah, kind of years ago. Uh, it's about
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: two thousand four. I was a young comedian and one
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: night at the Comic Everything. Yeah, still young, but it
- 1:41:58Speaker 1: was two thousand four. I just came off stage and
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: this girl told me to come in. Said you're really funny.
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: You've got a lot of potential, you know, And then
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: we started dating for about three months in I didn't
- 1:42:07Speaker 1: moved in with, that's all. It took about three month
- 1:42:09Speaker 1: while homeless at the time. You know, I was not
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: homes home. I couldn't stay at my mama house no
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: more so, so I said, okay, cool. I said, well, look,
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: I don't make a lot of money. I said, I
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: probably I can help out around here with like the
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: light bill, water bill. That's all I had. So we
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: had been dating and money had been coming up short
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: and everything, and I didn't have any money. So the
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: lights had got cut off. Light that was my responsibility,
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: and she had been paying it. So fast forward, I
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: found out exactly how long a woman will believe in
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: your dream. Eighteen months, that's all she had. I was
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: on the couch, sleep in the dog because the lights
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: were known. She just came in and said, get up,
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: get up, and get out, and she had already packed
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: my stuff. I didn't even know she was in the
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: dog getting my clothes together. She filled around in the throng,
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: got air fing, put my stuff on the porch with me,
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: and called my mama, told her come get your son.
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: He I thought that was the one, But that's it.
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: Eighteen months. If you ain't got I don't care what
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: it is you're doing. You're a plumber. If you ain't
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: fixing pipes in eighteen months, they is through. I don't
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: care what your dream is. If you if you're a
- 1:43:21Speaker 1: truck driving, you ain't on the road of eighteen months,
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: they don't do it no more months. Tommy, Man, my
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: worst one is I had a girl. You got mad
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: at me because I accidentally slept with her mama. Accident.
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: But it was an accident, and you are to be
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: able to forgive me for an accident. Now once you
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: tell me if you're gonna leave, the dough crack and
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: you're the second dough on the right, but the way
- 1:43:57Speaker 1: you was looking at it, you was really the second
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: dough on the left. So if I go in the
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: second though on the right, and I'm in there with
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: your mama, the lights was all see all this is
- 1:44:08Speaker 1: an accident. But when you woke up the door and
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: see me with your mama, that don't mean we got
- 1:44:14Speaker 1: the break off. What we got. You just got to
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: accept the fact that you gave me the wrong direction.
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: Bad you gave me the wrong direction. This is an accident.
- 1:44:24Speaker 1: I accidentally slept with your mama. Happened, So you didn't
- 1:44:29Speaker 1: smell a liniment. Ah, I'm I'm sorry, And if you're
- 1:44:40Speaker 1: still listening, I'm sorry. I didn't mean but the fact
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: that you broke up with me, I continued to a
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: Oh God, we'll be back to close out of the show.
- 1:44:54Speaker 1: All right, we are broadcasting live from Comfort Tweets on

- 1:45:46Speaker 1: story for us when we come back, Just one more

- 1:45:55Speaker 1: hear what happened to me? And I want to get
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: that ye love me? But it's so pretty, isn't it.
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: I came out of Chicago. So what is doing down here?
- 1:46:20Speaker 1: It ain't doing that right? Right? I left Chicago? It
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: was too Why why would it be too ya? I
- 1:46:32Speaker 1: walked out my building one morning dorm and said, come on,
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: a miss, I said, how are you doing? I looked
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: at my iPhone. My iPhone said one degree? Why would
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: you even put what is a degree? Just put a
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: zero on there and then you know what I want?
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: What outside? I do like this a week, damn, And
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: I learned something. Never take your lips off your teeth
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: when the zero degree got open them out. Keep your
- 1:47:08Speaker 1: helps over your teeth at all time. I got all
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: my teeth cracks all right. Before we get out of here, Steve,
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: you gotta give us one more story you said you had.
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: But do we finish having a bad relationship? I dated
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: a girl off in college and we went to an
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: amusement park and I told the girl, you know, look,
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: I got enough money to get us in and we
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: can eat one time. Okay, So we're passing by, you
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: know how the games, and you know the real heavy
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: milk jugs that you throw the softball and try to
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: knock all of them off to stand she's standing there,
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: she wanted one of these damn dogs. I'm just throwing. Huh.
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: I'm knocking all of them off, but one sometimes leaving
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: to I just couldn't get them. Talked about four temps.
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: You know, I ain't got no money for this hill,
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: she said, but I want the dog. I said, look,
- 1:48:14Speaker 1: I told you I got money we can eat one time.
- 1:48:19Speaker 1: Now you're cutting into the food money trying to win
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: this damn dog. And so I went on and said, man,
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: let me jump and take three more shots, right And
- 1:48:29Speaker 1: I didn't knock him over. I said, baby, let's said.
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: I can't win it. She stood at there and started
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: crying behind the dog. I couldn't win the dog. Don't
- 1:48:39Speaker 1: nobody winning the dog wanted it though. She started crying.
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: Now we only got eleven dollars left because I don't
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: throw nine dollars in the damn jibs ain't knocking. I
- 1:48:54Speaker 1: got nine dollars in this dog. Right now. I'm looking
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: at the man like, hey, man, I can gave you nine.
- 1:48:59Speaker 1: Give me something, give me a puppy or something. He said, Shaw,
- 1:49:02Speaker 1: you got to knock him all of that. The girl
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: just still at that crowning, wouldn't stop crying. I'm talking
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: about crying. Crazy cry showed the shaking crap. I walked
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: to the car, got in my car, drove off. I'm
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: not gonna be able to fix this. I'm eighteen years old.
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: I don't I didn't have skills for women who cried.
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: Yet I didn't know how to You know, when I
- 1:49:25Speaker 1: was eighteen, I didn't know what to do with a
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: woman that cried. You know, my wife cried. Now I
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: know how to fix it, But at eighteen, I didn't
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: have crisskey. We're just supposed to be having fun, and
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: I don't know nothing about you. When you crying, she
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: started crying. I walked off, got in the car, and
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: drove home. Man, at least respect the nine dollar you know,
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: we're just supposed tot least drop a back off at
- 1:49:48Speaker 1: the house, though, But she was crying. She was crying.

- 1:50:08Speaker 1: couldn't get a watch make her stop crying. I couldn't
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: give a trill. You know, my wife cry, I can
- 1:50:14Speaker 1: get a trill. Yeah, I can make her stop from
