- 1:22Speaker 1: you gotta turn, turn, turn, You got to turn them out,
- 1:45Speaker 1: then turn the water the water go. Come come on
- 1:58Speaker 1: your back. Uh huh, I shall will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey Man got a radio show.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Wow man, how good has God been to me? You know? Today?
- 2:15Speaker 1: Let me get right to it because I'm I'm kind
- 2:18Speaker 1: of feeling this today, and I'm pretty sure that's just
- 2:21Speaker 1: quite a few of you who go through the same
- 2:23Speaker 1: things today. Today was just a little tough morning for
- 2:28Speaker 1: me because I didn't want to leave home yesterday. You know,
- 2:32Speaker 1: I want to stay home a little. I just gotten home,
- 2:35Speaker 1: you know, I gotta go again. And sometimes, you know,
- 2:38Speaker 1: just the weight of all that you have to do
- 2:41Speaker 1: just gets on you sometimes and sometimes you don't feel
- 2:44Speaker 1: like doing it today. Huh. You know, I'm just talking
- 2:49Speaker 1: to those who feel this way every now and then,
- 2:52Speaker 1: And I'm assuming that would be everybody, because I don't
- 2:54Speaker 1: know nobody who can just ply through this thing without
- 2:58Speaker 1: having those days. Well, what do you do when it
- 3:02Speaker 1: gets hard to stay up? What do you do when
- 3:06Speaker 1: it gets hard to be positive? What do you do
- 3:10Speaker 1: when it seems like things aren't happening for you fast
- 3:14Speaker 1: enough or in the time frame that you thought it
- 3:16Speaker 1: was going. What do you do? And the reason that
- 3:20Speaker 1: I guess I chose to speak about this this morning
- 3:23Speaker 1: is because I'm having one of those days. Because I
- 3:25Speaker 1: had one of those days yesterday. It's just a tough day.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I really can't explain. It's nothing really in particular bad happened.
- 3:34Speaker 1: It's just I think the weight of all that's going
- 3:41Speaker 1: on started to feel heavy to me. And so what
- 3:47Speaker 1: do you do when when you have days like that,
- 3:49Speaker 1: when it's hard to be positive, when it's hard to
- 3:51Speaker 1: stay up? Okay, here's what I had to start doing
- 3:55Speaker 1: this morning. Now I haven't completed it. Can I just
- 3:59Speaker 1: be real with you? Haven't completed it, but I am
- 4:03Speaker 1: processing it out because I know what to do. You know,
- 4:07Speaker 1: been there, done that, I didn't had that pain before.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I know what to do you know if I sprain
- 4:11Speaker 1: my finger, I know what to do? Now? You know
- 4:13Speaker 1: the first spring I had a lord, I thought it
- 4:15Speaker 1: was broke. I thought I got me handac half. But
- 4:18Speaker 1: now if I spray my finger, I know what to do.
- 4:20Speaker 1: So since I've been in this position, in this hole
- 4:22Speaker 1: so many times before and God has always gotten me
- 4:26Speaker 1: through it, I decided I've got to start the process today.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Want to hear are some things Now I'm gonna get
- 4:33Speaker 1: to the big one last. And one of the things
- 4:36Speaker 1: I do is I remember the plan, sit down, and
- 4:42Speaker 1: I consciously think about the goals I've set. I go
- 4:46Speaker 1: over them. See, I've gotten mine down on an iPad
- 4:49Speaker 1: so I can pull them out anywhere I am and
- 4:52Speaker 1: pull them up. And I've got two lists that I've made.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I've got a list of things that I know I
- 4:57Speaker 1: can accomplish if I just keep working hard, and if
- 5:01Speaker 1: some couple of things just fall into place that I
- 5:04Speaker 1: can see. Then I got a list of things that
- 5:06Speaker 1: I'm planning on accomplishing. And then I have a second list.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And the heading of this list is called only God
- 5:14Speaker 1: can help me now. And on this list it's things
- 5:18Speaker 1: that I'm aspiring for or things that I'm hoping to
- 5:22Speaker 1: that in order for them to happen, I absolutely have
- 5:26Speaker 1: to have God's help. That's my favorite list. It's the
- 5:32Speaker 1: list that I have of the things that I don't
- 5:35Speaker 1: see no way it can happen. I'm just operating on
- 5:40Speaker 1: faith and the hope that God hear me, and so sometimes, man,
- 5:45Speaker 1: when you gotta when I have this list of who
- 5:49Speaker 1: only God can help me, now, that list is stuff
- 5:52Speaker 1: that I cannot see. I'm just operating on faith that
- 5:56Speaker 1: God is so much bigger than me, that he's so
- 5:59Speaker 1: much more capable than I am, that I can actually
- 6:03Speaker 1: acquire some things in my life, as He's proven to
- 6:06Speaker 1: me time and time again up to this point, that
- 6:08Speaker 1: He's willing to do for me if I'm willing to
- 6:10Speaker 1: just give him some of my life. That's the only
- 6:13Speaker 1: why I can't explain my existence today. You know, I
- 6:18Speaker 1: began the conversation with my wife, how do I write
- 6:21Speaker 1: a book that becomes so wildly successful? That would be God?
- 6:26Speaker 1: That's only God. Because if you can plan to sit
- 6:29Speaker 1: down and write a wildly successful book, I'd have Benden
- 6:32Speaker 1: sat down and did it, and so would you, So
- 6:35Speaker 1: that would be God. How it got purchased to become
- 6:39Speaker 1: a movie when that was not my intent when I
- 6:42Speaker 1: wrote the book at all. Again, that would be God, right,
- 6:46Speaker 1: there has to be, because if I can't explain it
- 6:50Speaker 1: and it is by no doing of my own, then
- 6:53Speaker 1: who did it? So when I get down in days
- 6:56Speaker 1: like this, I remember the goal. I remember the plan.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I remember the journey. I think about of all the
- 7:03Speaker 1: things God has bought me to how did I even
- 7:05Speaker 1: get to this point. Yeah? I might be having a
- 7:07Speaker 1: little bummer of a day. Yeah I was a little
- 7:09Speaker 1: down yesterday. Yeah, my bio rhythms is off, whatever they
- 7:12Speaker 1: want to call it. Yeah, I'm just having one of
- 7:14Speaker 1: those days. I feel a little bit heavy. I need
- 7:17Speaker 1: a vacation real bad. I need some time off to
- 7:20Speaker 1: just go and regenerate. But right now, man, I ain't
- 7:23Speaker 1: got that. So guess what I do. I gotta start
- 7:26Speaker 1: remembering the plan. I gotta start remembering the goals. I
- 7:29Speaker 1: gotta start thinking about all the things that God has
- 7:32Speaker 1: done for me and how He has bought me this
- 7:34Speaker 1: far and the blessings that I have instead of what
- 7:37Speaker 1: I don't have. And that's what I'm in the process
- 7:39Speaker 1: of doing this morning, and on the commercial breaks, I'm
- 7:42Speaker 1: gonna pull out my iPad and I'm gonna go over
- 7:44Speaker 1: my two lists, and I'm gonna read my little list
- 7:46Speaker 1: of what I think I can accomplish, and I'm gonna
- 7:49Speaker 1: really read that only God can help Me now list,
- 7:51Speaker 1: because that's the list that's big. That's the part where
- 7:54Speaker 1: I've been telling y'all. I said, quit telling God how
- 7:57Speaker 1: big your problems are, and start telling your problems how
- 8:01Speaker 1: big your God is. See. And that's why I got
- 8:04Speaker 1: to sit down and do this morning. And then sometimes, man,
- 8:07Speaker 1: you got to stay still. That's the other part. You
- 8:11Speaker 1: got to stay still. You gotta quit moving for a second,
- 8:16Speaker 1: because sometimes it feel like you're running on a treadmill
- 8:19Speaker 1: and you really ain't you going somewhere, but it feel
- 8:22Speaker 1: like you're running on a treadmill. Well, when you get
- 8:24Speaker 1: that feeling, sometimes you gotta stay still. And then when
- 8:29Speaker 1: you stay still, sometimes you gotta fight to stay positive.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Sometimes you gotta fight not to let the devil win.
- 8:35Speaker 1: You're in a fight, mam. I told you this. Now
- 8:36Speaker 1: you're in a fight now, So trying to get you
- 8:39Speaker 1: to get on that positive train so he can get
- 8:41Speaker 1: you off the faith train. So God's delivery package that's
- 8:45Speaker 1: coming to you built on your faith that you can.
- 8:47Speaker 1: He can shake your faith and get you to thinking
- 8:49Speaker 1: negative and then he wins. See. So when you start
- 8:52Speaker 1: feeling negative, just know that that's the other force trying
- 8:55Speaker 1: to throw you off track. And when you get through
- 8:57Speaker 1: it all that he is the key, the big When
- 8:59Speaker 1: you want me tell it, you got to pray, man,
- 9:02Speaker 1: You got to pray. You gotta take it to God.
- 9:05Speaker 1: You gotta say, hey, God, look I'm having one of
- 9:06Speaker 1: these days. I need your help. I got business to
- 9:09Speaker 1: take care of. You got blessings in front of me.
- 9:11Speaker 1: You got stuff you to ship to me. You got
- 9:14Speaker 1: blessings and packages that's on the way. I need to
- 9:16Speaker 1: be sitting on Faith streets so I can receive the
- 9:18Speaker 1: delivery when you get there. What I don't want to
- 9:21Speaker 1: do is be it on be on doubted Way or
- 9:25Speaker 1: or lack of Understanding Parkway, or Pity Parkway or some
- 9:30Speaker 1: street like that, and the package keep going by. I
- 9:33Speaker 1: need to be standing and sitting on Faith Street so
- 9:36Speaker 1: when you drop that package down to me, I can
- 9:38Speaker 1: go on and get it. You feel me. You got
- 9:41Speaker 1: to pray. You got to stay still, you gotta fight
- 9:44Speaker 1: to stay positive. You gotta remember the plan. You gotta
- 9:47Speaker 1: go over the goals. Come on, man, God and brought
- 9:49Speaker 1: you too far, Come on, pick yourself up. Today. I'm
- 9:52Speaker 1: talking to Steve Harvey this morning. Hope y'all didn't mind

- 15:13Speaker 1: don't put them in the movie theater room. I got
- 15:15Speaker 1: the big screen. All I got cartoons, I mean little movies,

- 15:38Speaker 1: coming in and prop Emily who is emminly? No, I
- 15:44Speaker 1: don't know none of these right here. I don't like none.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Then my kids because I'm bought all of the iPads
- 15:50Speaker 1: and stuff. Dad, we don't want our children raised on iPad.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Q're dropping them off over here. But they lead the
- 15:56Speaker 1: iPad for they need somebody to talk to. Other things
- 16:00Speaker 1: and meat and your kids. Aren't your grandkids vegan or something?
- 16:04Speaker 1: Aren't there two of them vegan? That's another thing coming
- 16:07Speaker 1: in here. Cary left bj Whitney one time. Yeah, well,
- 16:13Speaker 1: he came in my office. I was eating some ribs
- 16:15Speaker 1: and I gave it, you know, and he was just
- 16:19Speaker 1: over Joe. His eyes got big. He kept looking at any.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Didn't eat it a little bit more, guinny to look

- 16:30Speaker 1: in here, Daddy, what did you give him? I said,
- 16:33Speaker 1: eating the real He don't eat meat? I said, yes,
- 16:36Speaker 1: he does right now. And we don't do that at
- 16:42Speaker 1: our house. You ain't ask your coming in here asking me?
- 16:48Speaker 1: Man and raised the kids. Watch these kids. I watched
- 16:53Speaker 1: these kids like I won't to how long they've been
- 16:58Speaker 1: in the water until they look like all of that. While, Hey,
- 17:04Speaker 1: let me tell you some No. I put them in
- 17:05Speaker 1: the swimming pool with their little raft round where they
- 17:08Speaker 1: can't they can't climb out of it and they can't
- 17:10Speaker 1: fall move around. That's it. So like if if the
- 17:16Speaker 1: little girls stay over Rose and Ell or something, do
- 17:19Speaker 1: you have to comb their hair and stuff? Oh? No, no,
- 17:23Speaker 1: So you just got the babies looking crazy if they
- 17:25Speaker 1: take a nap. The girls, okay, how they look, they're cute.
- 17:31Speaker 1: They's nighttime, go to bed. But they're so smart, man.
- 17:33Speaker 1: They vocabulists extensive. They be talking. They ask you questions, Papa.
- 17:39Speaker 1: So you know I was leaving one morning, Papa, where
- 17:41Speaker 1: are you going or something? Going to work? Papa? Why
- 17:44Speaker 1: you always go to work? Because y'all always eating groceries,
- 17:49Speaker 1: That's why I always. It's a good answer too, because
- 17:53Speaker 1: y'all are wanted to ask me getting skating rinks for
- 17:55Speaker 1: your damn party and ice skating rinks. We had a
- 17:58Speaker 1: damn raindeer and the y'all who you think pay for
- 18:01Speaker 1: this one? Oh my goodness, you're yelling. Ain't really that's
- 18:05Speaker 1: we bought the black Santa Claus back here. You know
- 18:08Speaker 1: how much he cost? White was way cheap because there's
- 18:16Speaker 1: more of them. There's more of them. Your black Santa
- 18:18Speaker 1: Clauses hack comply. Yeah, then you gotta get one that
- 18:22Speaker 1: really know how to be Santa Claus. You can't hand
- 18:24Speaker 1: no fat black dude. Back then, it was some blue key,
- 18:30Speaker 1: you stupid bottom. Why you always working? Y'all keep eating?
- 18:35Speaker 1: But They don't understand that. See, you have to talk
- 18:38Speaker 1: to them, you know, on their level. White Santa Claus
- 18:41Speaker 1: is way cheap. You can't how much things cost. They
- 18:45Speaker 1: don't understand that they need to learn this year, just
- 18:50Speaker 1: the real world. Yeah, they don't get it. They just
- 18:54Speaker 1: know that young young for one to learn. Just have
- 18:57Speaker 1: these life lessons. To learn those lessons. And they ain't
- 19:01Speaker 1: too young to own the eight hundred dollars. They're not
- 19:08Speaker 1: too young to ride in this damn Lamborghini coste. The
- 19:14Speaker 1: hell we got costa designer coste. All the little grandkids
- 19:20Speaker 1: got luxury automobiles plugged up in the inner garage. They
- 19:26Speaker 1: got a little convertible business they drive when they come home. Steve,
- 19:31Speaker 1: So they tell about so one on battery ran. I
- 19:33Speaker 1: know it's battery run out because he ride every damn So,
- 19:36Speaker 1: no one comes telling me Pap, Papa, my carl, don't
- 19:38Speaker 1: work where it's or go do something else. Pull your
- 19:47Speaker 1: damn lipp in and go do something else. Going that
- 19:51Speaker 1: damn TP I spent all that money for back then,
- 19:56Speaker 1: Oh my god, they do have a Lamborghini car. Sleep
- 20:00Speaker 1: doesn't tell me I ain't making this hard good, ain't
- 20:03Speaker 1: no to me. I got everything sitting up in here
- 20:07Speaker 1: talking now like watching my that's my confession. Okay, ten
- 20:11Speaker 1: minute confessions. I think we're clearly. I think we're really clear. Steve.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I want to cos see you want this up? You

- 26:39Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after. You're listening
- 26:43Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, so let's talk
- 26:49Speaker 1: about cheating. It's time for something funny. The age old question.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Why do we cheat? We? I said we because the
- 26:58Speaker 1: new report reveals that women who cheat are lonely, virile,
- 27:02Speaker 1: and most of them don't work like strong, you know,
- 27:07Speaker 1: like strong, um uh yeah, no, no, no, not just capable, yeah,
- 27:14Speaker 1: just just strong. And you know, why wouldn't they have
- 27:18Speaker 1: said that? Yeah? Body build I would have, yes, yes, yeah, yeah, good, strong, capable,
- 27:31Speaker 1: they can get the job done. And most of them
- 27:32Speaker 1: don't work. They're stay at home like homemakers or house
- 27:38Speaker 1: ah okay, but the women that cheat, that's for women.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Ain't my wife at home. She's to stay at home mom, right,
- 27:47Speaker 1: she get moving all right. So that's what we're saying
- 27:58Speaker 1: about women. Now, men who cheat are tall? What what
- 28:04Speaker 1: the study shows the cheat? They're smart huh, and they
- 28:14Speaker 1: have good jobs with money and they're or they're rich
- 28:20Speaker 1: anmus because you're short, you're stupid. Well he's broke. Well
- 28:35Speaker 1: he ain't broke, but his cause they say they have
- 28:41Speaker 1: good jobs. You have a good job with money, or
- 28:44Speaker 1: you're rich. All right. The study also finds that men
- 28:47Speaker 1: who cheat because of lust, arrogance, and their ego. Oh
- 28:52Speaker 1: now that's true. That's true. They they're either lustful, they're arrogant,
- 28:56Speaker 1: or their ego, while women do it because they start
- 28:59Speaker 1: feeling the elected by their partner. Okay, yeah, that's so good. Yeah, yeah,
- 29:06Speaker 1: all right. So we'll start with you, Steve has I
- 29:10Speaker 1: know you're happily married. Now this is in the Yeah
- 29:13Speaker 1: we love Marjorie. We got all that. Yeah, we're talking
- 29:16Speaker 1: about your past. It's all we have to draw up
- 29:18Speaker 1: on now. Well, I don't know how. Only back then
- 29:21Speaker 1: was tall, I was dirt. Okay, Well, has a woman
- 29:29Speaker 1: ever cheated on you that you'll admit? Well oh hell yeah,
- 29:34Speaker 1: oh yeah. The problem was she won't come out and
- 29:37Speaker 1: say oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I know how you find out?
- 29:43Speaker 1: You know how she know because the way she know empidence.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Oh also you follow evidence because usually women are smarter
- 29:53Speaker 1: about we're better at Yeah. Well, you know if somebody
- 29:56Speaker 1: tell on you that don't really like you, so somebody
- 30:01Speaker 1: just rat it on it. I hate to tell you
- 30:03Speaker 1: this niched yea a girl or man? Of course it
- 30:08Speaker 1: was a girl. She wanted you, yeah, yeah, and then
- 30:12Speaker 1: I let her her. Then you go. She told you
- 30:23Speaker 1: after she told me she had her, so you were
- 30:26Speaker 1: broken up. I got to pull me back to other.
- 30:32Speaker 1: I would never do you that way. I bet you
- 30:34Speaker 1: would feel so bad for you bad. I'm gonna lay
- 30:43Speaker 1: on my shoulder like that, no problem. What, yes, I
- 30:53Speaker 1: know you hurt? Yes? Okay, yeah, some hurt. Yeah, let's
- 30:59Speaker 1: hear from thee as a woman ever cheated on you?

- 31:21Speaker 1: that's how y'all gonna go back around. What did you do? Tommy?
- 31:26Speaker 1: The dude ran down the hall but naked, and the
- 31:28Speaker 1: girl just stood there looking at me, And I said, really,
- 31:31Speaker 1: that's all you said? Was really you cock a doodle?
- 31:34Speaker 1: For you never heard you cock a doodle? That did?
- 31:44Speaker 1: That was stating? Man, he really hurt you. My child
- 31:49Speaker 1: was cock a doodlen Wow when you was in there?

- 37:06Speaker 1: Jay set this one up for us. Tell us. And
- 37:07Speaker 1: it's so important to explain this because we get new
- 37:11Speaker 1: listeners every day and we're doing a different segment that
- 37:16Speaker 1: people are not aware of. So that's why I take
- 37:19Speaker 1: the time to explain comedy. And it's very simple. You
- 37:26Speaker 1: take force subjects and you put them on a wheel
- 37:30Speaker 1: and you take them on the wheel, you spun the wheel,
- 37:34Speaker 1: and which stop? We can do the damn thing because
- 37:39Speaker 1: we's comedians were good, sir. All right, here we go.
- 37:47Speaker 1: These are the subjects for today. Things you can do
- 37:51Speaker 1: to get people to leave your house. Things you say
- 37:55Speaker 1: to people who've overdecorated for the holiday. Yeah, things you
- 38:02Speaker 1: say to people who have underdecorated for the holidays. And
- 38:08Speaker 1: here's the last one. Things you say when you didn't
- 38:10Speaker 1: get what you wanted for Christmas? Okay, yeah, yeah, you
- 38:16Speaker 1: gotta page. Yeah, let's go, let's spind the wheel. I'm
- 38:24Speaker 1: on over death of wage. Yeah, oh oh, I thought
- 38:29Speaker 1: it was gonna stop on overdecorating, but now it stopped on.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Things you say when you didn't get what you wanted
- 38:35Speaker 1: for Chris. It's the same as Steve's bad acting theater. No, no, no, no, no,
- 38:41Speaker 1: not at all. No. I don't even know how you
- 38:43Speaker 1: got that out of that. But these are things you
- 38:49Speaker 1: say when you didn't get what you want for Christmas. Yeah,
- 38:52Speaker 1: let's go. The things you say when you didn't get
- 38:54Speaker 1: what you say? Oh, come on, j oh, this is nice.
- 38:59Speaker 1: And this one lights up? What is it with that attitude?
- 39:04Speaker 1: That's how you say it? That's what you're saying. How
- 39:07Speaker 1: you say it? Yeah, I'll tell you what This is
- 39:11Speaker 1: something I actually said as a kid. But I didn't
- 39:13Speaker 1: get what I want on huh for Christmas? And they
- 39:16Speaker 1: were standing there by parents, but I was about ten.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I said, you said the actual words. Yeah, yeah, when
- 39:25Speaker 1: you open that box of what you're supposed to get, Oh,
- 39:32Speaker 1: thank you. I'll I put this in the drawer with
- 39:35Speaker 1: that ragged ass time you about la, I ain't grateful
- 39:41Speaker 1: get what you want that time? This one, this is
- 39:45Speaker 1: what you say at work. I knew when he pulled
- 39:48Speaker 1: my name it wasn't gonna be worth for Danne. I
- 39:54Speaker 1: knew you saved and you didn't give it you. Yeah,
- 40:04Speaker 1: a pound cake? Huh? Thanks for a lot? Yeah to
- 40:09Speaker 1: a diabetic? Thanks you say when you don't get what
- 40:16Speaker 1: you want for Christmas? What happened? Check short again? Cheke
- 40:23Speaker 1: shot again? Huh? Come on down? Why? Why? Why? In

- 44:33Speaker 1: my brother. Oh, I'm so sorry about your brother, but wow,
- 44:37Speaker 1: I gotta tell you he saved my life. Man. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 44:42Speaker 1: so so I you know, I just want to call
- 44:44Speaker 1: you man. I hope you on min you know, no, no,
- 44:48Speaker 1: not at all. It's kind of like a little bit
- 44:50Speaker 1: of my brothers. It's still living, you know what I mean,
- 44:52Speaker 1: It kind of it kind of feels like my brother's
- 44:54Speaker 1: still living. So that's a good thing. It's a good
- 44:58Speaker 1: thing that glad. Thank you. Yeah. Let me ask you this, man.
- 45:03Speaker 1: I'm just curious because your Caucasian, right yeah. Yeah, yeah,
- 45:08Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, do you feel any any different having
- 45:11Speaker 1: a black man's heart and your body? Dude? Cutting up? No,
- 45:16Speaker 1: I don't feel any difference. Uh no. Oh. I didn't
- 45:20Speaker 1: think about it though. And this, this will just make
- 45:23Speaker 1: me and the rest of the family feel good that
- 45:25Speaker 1: we knew what he was dedicated to and the things
- 45:27Speaker 1: that matter matter to him. Would you feel all right
- 45:31Speaker 1: joining the NAACP? Uh? Is that are there some people
- 45:36Speaker 1: are gonna be upset that I joined. I mean it's
- 45:39Speaker 1: that okay, Well, you know, I don't know about anybody
- 45:42Speaker 1: being upset, man, It's just I know my brother that
- 45:45Speaker 1: that's what he was a part of. And you know,
- 45:47Speaker 1: you you walking around with with his heart, man, it
- 45:50Speaker 1: would just feel different, feel great, you know, to have
- 45:54Speaker 1: to feel like he would be back in there doing
- 45:56Speaker 1: what he was doing and fighting for for us, just
- 46:00Speaker 1: for the black community. Now you are Democratic a Republican? Well,
- 46:04Speaker 1: you know, I mean honestly that I was Republican until Trump,
- 46:08Speaker 1: and now I'm just really I'm kind of on the science.
- 46:12Speaker 1: I mean, that guy's an idiot. You did vote for Trump.
- 46:15Speaker 1: I did not, But I am a Republican, Okay. So
- 46:18Speaker 1: and the reason why, you know, because I'm just curious
- 46:20Speaker 1: man about it. What I what I would hate to
- 46:22Speaker 1: see is you know when twenty twenty come around, you know,
- 46:25Speaker 1: you you over there in the voting booth, you know,
- 46:28Speaker 1: with my brother black Heart and you and there, you know,
- 46:31Speaker 1: voting Republican. Uh, you know, and and that's something that
- 46:35Speaker 1: I know my brother wouldn't be doing, you know what
- 46:37Speaker 1: I'm saying. So I'm just I'm just asking, well, I mean,
- 46:40Speaker 1: I'm not happy with Trump, but if someone else in
- 46:42Speaker 1: the Republican party runs and I agree with them, I'm
- 46:46Speaker 1: it's kind of like it's my heart. Now I can't
- 46:49Speaker 1: change my point of view just because of that. I mean, yeah,
- 46:52Speaker 1: but but but but what you're not gonna do, though, man,
- 46:56Speaker 1: is be in there with my brother black heart, and
- 46:58Speaker 1: you up in there making some decisions that I know
- 47:01Speaker 1: my brother wouldn't do. You see what I'm saying. That's
- 47:04Speaker 1: a long way off, man, But I can't promise you that.
- 47:06Speaker 1: I mean, if somebody runs that I like, I mean,
- 47:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna vote the way I feel my heart and
- 47:11Speaker 1: my head tell me about hold one, don't don't say
- 47:15Speaker 1: what my heart because that ain't your heart. You know,
- 47:18Speaker 1: I'm saying my brother hard So you got every right
- 47:21Speaker 1: to ask me what you think my brother would see
- 47:23Speaker 1: in his heart? And I tell you you understand what
- 47:26Speaker 1: I'm saying. I don't ask the way I see. Man,
- 47:30Speaker 1: Let me ask something. Have you have you been like
- 47:32Speaker 1: craving different kinds of foods that you don't know need?
- 47:35Speaker 1: Have you been looking at I don't know, I mean
- 47:37Speaker 1: girl like greens like my brother ate a lot of greens.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Did you do you feel like you ge wounds and
- 47:41Speaker 1: greens sometimes I like greens occasionally. Yeah, okay, man, have
- 47:46Speaker 1: all of a sudden, do you like women who have
- 47:49Speaker 1: big butts? A lot of women in general. I didn't
- 47:52Speaker 1: think about specifics, but you know, if they're good looking,
- 47:54Speaker 1: they're good looking. Well wait, wait a minute, what kind
- 47:58Speaker 1: of calls this? Man? I mean you're ask me all
- 48:00Speaker 1: these random questions. Why what I don't understand where this
- 48:04Speaker 1: is coming from is coming from my brother's hart. That's
- 48:07Speaker 1: where it's coming from. You got my brother's black heart
- 48:10Speaker 1: inside of you, you know. Yeah, I'm asking you. I'm
- 48:13Speaker 1: asking you to do what my brother would do, not
- 48:16Speaker 1: what you would do. You want to do it from
- 48:18Speaker 1: your heart? You then you do it from my brother's heart.
- 48:20Speaker 1: When you first call me about your brother, I was excited.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Now I'm saying, how much did the hospital give you
- 48:25Speaker 1: just this number? And you get to call me up?
- 48:28Speaker 1: That's privilege information. You shouldn't get to just call me
- 48:31Speaker 1: and asking all these random questions. Man, I just got
- 48:34Speaker 1: a heart test plan. Now you're starting to get me
- 48:36Speaker 1: worked up. If I'm not trying to get you worked up.
- 48:38Speaker 1: All I'm trying to man, Okay, okay, well let me
- 48:41Speaker 1: let me just come. All I know is you got
- 48:43Speaker 1: Troy hard inside of you, and I'm trying to let
- 48:45Speaker 1: you know the kind of person Troy appease. Okay, so
- 48:48Speaker 1: let me let me ask this. Has your music change?
- 48:51Speaker 1: Are you listening to more R and B? Now? I
- 48:54Speaker 1: do like R and B, but I listen to hard
- 48:55Speaker 1: rock too. That hasn't changed because once in Troy's heart
- 48:58Speaker 1: gone stage in Troy A you understand, So you got
- 49:02Speaker 1: to have that's in your heart now Greens did butts
- 49:06Speaker 1: inp That's what I'm saying. Okay, I'm trying to tell
- 49:11Speaker 1: you about rub Well. Are you crying? Man, I'm trying
- 49:15Speaker 1: to tell you my chrub Hey, hey, hey, I'm sorry.
- 49:18Speaker 1: I'm sorry. No, I know you mess your brother, don't damn,
- 49:22Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Okay, Let let me say this saying, Okay,
- 49:27Speaker 1: since you got my brother hart, I think it's only
- 49:30Speaker 1: right to me and you we get together and go
- 49:34Speaker 1: to go to a jay Z call sor together. I
- 49:36Speaker 1: think that's the only right jay Z and be honestly,
- 49:39Speaker 1: because we go together because that's what me and my
- 49:41Speaker 1: brother did. We we will go see them perform. Well,
- 49:44Speaker 1: I mean they are to the best of all time.
- 49:47Speaker 1: So am I buying both the tickets? Oh? That up?
- 49:51Speaker 1: You got trouble and you worry about who's gonna pay
- 49:54Speaker 1: for some tickets. I didn't know. I thought maybe you
- 49:56Speaker 1: might want to teat your brother one last time. I'm
- 50:00Speaker 1: a sorry man, Yeah, no, no, okay, listen, I'm really
- 50:04Speaker 1: I'm really sorry. I mean I get upset. I didn't
- 50:06Speaker 1: mean yell at you. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. Do
- 50:10Speaker 1: you do you do you listen to black radio? Sometimes?
- 50:14Speaker 1: I do listen to black radio. You never This is

- 51:47Speaker 1: Buckle up, hold on tight. We got it for you.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry Letter. Subject you ever heard of
- 51:53Speaker 1: an old fool? Dear Stephen Shirley, do you think that
- 51:58Speaker 1: dating rules for seen years are different than those for
- 52:01Speaker 1: younger people. I need to know because I'm trying to
- 52:05Speaker 1: find love again and I'm over sixty. I'd like to
- 52:09Speaker 1: think that a man in age sixty five to seventy
- 52:11Speaker 1: would think and act differently than he did when he
- 52:14Speaker 1: was twenty five to thirty years old. But that's not
- 52:17Speaker 1: the case. When I meet men my age, they are
- 52:19Speaker 1: still interested in the cookie, and I need to know
- 52:22Speaker 1: if I should still be using the ninety day rule
- 52:25Speaker 1: at my age. Then there are other men, the other
- 52:29Speaker 1: men that I meet and they voluntarily tell me that
- 52:32Speaker 1: the cookie is a non issue for them. Now, I'm
- 52:35Speaker 1: still a bit frisky, so I don't date men that
- 52:40Speaker 1: I don't date a man that doesn't want the cookie anymore. Okay, Steve,
- 52:44Speaker 1: I wish you would talk more about this subject because
- 52:46Speaker 1: I have a lot of single friends that are on
- 52:49Speaker 1: the dating scene. Again. My big problem is I recently
- 52:52Speaker 1: met a seventy year old man that I adore, and
- 52:56Speaker 1: he always tells me that I'm very attractive and youthful
- 53:00Speaker 1: for my age. He's smart, funny, and nerdy, and I
- 53:03Speaker 1: love spending time with him. I thought he was into
- 53:06Speaker 1: me too, but I keep getting mixed signals from him.
- 53:09Speaker 1: He says he wants to be in a relationship, but
- 53:11Speaker 1: his actions don't match his words. I'm not willing to
- 53:15Speaker 1: wait forever for him to commit to me. Excuse me.
- 53:18Speaker 1: I was shocked to find out that men don't change
- 53:21Speaker 1: as they get older. Or am I wrong and I
- 53:23Speaker 1: just picked a bad one. He'd be a fool to
- 53:26Speaker 1: lose me. Can you please give me some tips on
- 53:29Speaker 1: how to keep the magic going with this man so
- 53:31Speaker 1: he won't lose interest. I need some help with my
- 53:33Speaker 1: love life. I have to apologize for my voice for
- 53:38Speaker 1: these three days. I'm struggling. Excuse me? All right, Yeah,
- 53:45Speaker 1: I know, Tennessee, Texas, Tokyo. I know that's inside. All right,
- 53:50Speaker 1: here we go, you know, don't start, Steve, don't start, Oh,
- 53:55Speaker 1: I know, all right, here we go. You know. Um,
- 54:01Speaker 1: I was gonna say this to Steve. A lot of people,
- 54:03Speaker 1: especially women, ask me to ask you to hook them up.
- 54:07Speaker 1: They ask me this all the time when we have
- 54:10Speaker 1: events and stuff and we go out there always ask me, Sureley,
- 54:13Speaker 1: why doesn't Steve have a segment where older women are
- 54:16Speaker 1: older guys, you know, we can hook up. So I'm
- 54:18Speaker 1: really not surprised that this letter got through because there
- 54:21Speaker 1: is you know, I've seen in firsthand. There is a void,
- 54:24Speaker 1: I guess. And in this age group, I say, maybe
- 54:28Speaker 1: some things change, but not all the things. The dating
- 54:32Speaker 1: rules I'm talking about form for seniors than young people.
- 54:37Speaker 1: I think older people know more of what they want.
- 54:41Speaker 1: They know, they're more comfortable and confident with who they are,
- 54:45Speaker 1: so they can weed out the bad people quicker, and
- 54:48Speaker 1: they can get involved quicker So when you say you
- 54:53Speaker 1: need to know because you're trying to find love again
- 54:55Speaker 1: at age sixty, I think in this case, you know,
- 54:59Speaker 1: maybe not the nine d day rule, but rules definitely
- 55:02Speaker 1: do apply, and a ninety day rule can apply to
- 55:05Speaker 1: because it still applies in other things in life. You know.
- 55:08Speaker 1: That's what Steve based it on. The three month probation period,
- 55:12Speaker 1: so you don't have to just jump into bed just
- 55:14Speaker 1: because you're older. You know, take your time to get
- 55:17Speaker 1: to know the individual you're you're with someone who's um
- 55:22Speaker 1: seventy years old now, and you say you adore this man,
- 55:25Speaker 1: and he's always telling you he's attractive, he's smart and
- 55:28Speaker 1: funny and everything. What are these mixed signals you're getting
- 55:31Speaker 1: from him? You didn't elaborate on that. He says he
- 55:34Speaker 1: says he wants to be in a relationship, but his
- 55:36Speaker 1: actions don't match his words. So if he wants to
- 55:40Speaker 1: be in a relationship, why aren't you guys in a relationship?
- 55:43Speaker 1: Why why aren't you in a relationship if that's what
- 55:46Speaker 1: you want. You said you were you were shocked to
- 55:49Speaker 1: find out that men don't change as they get older.
- 55:52Speaker 1: Did you mean that you're trying to change him? And
- 55:55Speaker 1: he won't change because we all know and you're old
- 55:58Speaker 1: enough to know that we can't change any one. So
- 56:01Speaker 1: did you just pick a bad one? No, he may
- 56:03Speaker 1: not be a bad pick, but you didn't give us
- 56:06Speaker 1: enough information to find out what's going on here, you know,
- 56:10Speaker 1: except that he's giving you mixed signals. He'd be a
- 56:13Speaker 1: fool to lose you. So that means, in your opinion,
- 56:16Speaker 1: you're a good catch. I think maybe you should hang
- 56:18Speaker 1: in there, get to know this guy a little better,
- 56:20Speaker 1: and you never know where this relationship can go. Steve, anytime,
- 56:26Speaker 1: y'a all ready for me to just get to the
- 56:28Speaker 1: bottom line, stop me in this letter, okay and ask
- 56:33Speaker 1: you that. Yeah, just Steve, can you get to the
- 56:35Speaker 1: bottom to the bottom line. Oh, here's this woman who's
- 56:39Speaker 1: sixty and would like to think that a man aged
- 56:43Speaker 1: between sixty five and seventy would act differently than he
- 56:46Speaker 1: does when he's twenty five to thirty years old. But
- 56:50Speaker 1: that's not the case. So the question in the letter
- 56:52Speaker 1: is the lady asked me, is do I have to
- 56:54Speaker 1: adhere to the ninety day rule at my age? Well,
- 56:58Speaker 1: if you don't it here, why would you adhere to
- 57:00Speaker 1: the rule? Simply because you're older doesn't mean you shouldn't
- 57:03Speaker 1: apply the rules. Because of these men that you keep
- 57:06Speaker 1: meeting and acting like twenty five thirty years old, you
- 57:09Speaker 1: got to treat him that way, and you gotta protect
- 57:12Speaker 1: yourself that way. This is a real simple letter. Anybody ready? Yeah, Steve,
- 57:18Speaker 1: get to the bottom line, baby, get to the bottom line.
- 57:21Speaker 1: He is right here. The lady says, I recently met
- 57:28Speaker 1: a seventy year old man that I doore. He always
- 57:30Speaker 1: tells me, and I'm very attractive and you full looking
- 57:32Speaker 1: for my age. He's smart, funny, and nerdy. I love
- 57:36Speaker 1: spending time with him. I thought he was into me too,
- 57:39Speaker 1: but I keep getting mixed signals from him. He says
- 57:41Speaker 1: he wants to be in a relationship, but his actions
- 57:43Speaker 1: don't match his words. You're ready for it, ready, I'm
- 57:49Speaker 1: not willing to wait forever for him to commit to me.
- 57:55Speaker 1: He's seventy. Come on with the stick. You ain't willing
- 58:03Speaker 1: to wait how long he got That's what you need
- 58:07Speaker 1: to know. Hang on, we'll recap and get back to
- 58:12Speaker 1: part two of your response, coming up at twenty three
- 58:14Speaker 1: after the hour, right after this subject today, You ever
- 58:18Speaker 1: heard of an old fool you're listening to all right, Steve,
- 58:23Speaker 1: Come on, let's recap today's Strawberry letter. Get part two
- 58:26Speaker 1: of your recap. Real sith this woman trying to get
- 58:30Speaker 1: this man the seventy to act right. That's the recap.
- 58:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna read it to you one more. TWA recently
- 58:36Speaker 1: met a seventy year old man. I doore. He always
- 58:39Speaker 1: tells me that I'm very attractive and you for looking
- 58:41Speaker 1: for my age. He is smart, funny, and nerdy, and
- 58:44Speaker 1: I love spending time with I thought he was in
- 58:47Speaker 1: the me too, but I keep getting mixed signals from him.
- 58:50Speaker 1: He says he wants to be in a relationship, but
- 58:52Speaker 1: his actions don't match his one. I'm not willing to
- 58:57Speaker 1: wait forever for him to commit to me. You ain't
- 59:00Speaker 1: gonna have to quhen you say, seventy forever is not
- 59:04Speaker 1: alone once you seventy forever couldn't mean any day now.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Forever could mean twenty years. It can mean thirty years,
- 59:16Speaker 1: but that ain't forever though. That'll be here a little while.
- 59:21Speaker 1: I don't know if you've noticed it, but as you
- 59:23Speaker 1: get older, the years go by so much fast. Two
- 59:28Speaker 1: thousand and eighteen was a blur. Here we is into
- 59:32Speaker 1: two thousand nineteen now, and you know what what two
- 59:38Speaker 1: thousand nineteen gonna blow by? Two? Now? He hold it
- 59:42Speaker 1: in all of us. He's seventy. How fast you think
- 59:45Speaker 1: his life moved because everybody said that about two thousand
- 59:50Speaker 1: and eighteen. Ain't man. I don't care how unless you
- 59:53Speaker 1: want an inmate two thousand and eighteen blew back. Now, inmates.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Ain't nothing blowing by for them, I understand, and that
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: I ain't lessing with in my field. For all the
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: brothers and sisters, it's locked away that can hear the show.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: God bless you. Keep your head up, makes match yourself.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Now back to this letter. He's seventy. What is he
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: waiting on if he ain't in a hurry at seventy,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: you're just dealing with a slow man. Okay, you sixty,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I'm seventy. You're looking for a relationship. I ain't really
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: feeling it. Here's some of the answers. Argue, just ask
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: me some relationship or commitment questions, anything, It don't matter. Well,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: where do you think we're going with this relationship? Yeah,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: we're gonna have to get down to the doctor's office.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: We don't get down now full thirty, I don't get
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: back up and ain't gonna get no appointment. Well, listen,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: you know I'd like to go out dancing and stuff.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: You told me I was cute, and you know I
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: was really youthful looking for my age. So you know
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: I'd like to stay young at hurt and go dancing.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: But I'm not you youth for looking for your age.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I look a bit of sick a a matter of fact,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: I've never been told I don't look miney. People never
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: always thought I was in my nineties. But when we
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: first met, you looked good. I thought you were healthy
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: and an attractive Yeah. I know, off real fast though,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: did not. I just fell off. I'm hanging there with
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: you though I still like you. Well, I ain't got
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: along well. I mean you're just seventy though. Yeah, but
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: I just told you I went to the doctor. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: I got fourteen chronicle. Yeah. Is that what all those
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: pills on your nightstand in your medicine cabinet. I saw

- 1:03:22Speaker 1: read the paperwork right. They said if you signed up,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: you qualify for your pension in fifteen, and I thought
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: they said they're gonna give you fifteen years on page
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I signed up, But he'd be fifteen years before I
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: get damn quality. Well, you're gonna have to do something because,

- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. It's time for Junior's truth be told.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: I just want to just talk about the links that
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: I know people will go to to get their check,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: the true to dance. No, let me jay something about
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: black people. There's nothing we won't do to get our check.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: We don't leave our money at the job. Somebody we
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: know and rebody came up because Jay had left and
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: his check was sitting up there, and he said, Dog,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: before you walk out that room today, put my check
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: in that draw. Okay. So I thought about the list
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: that I know black people will go to to get
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: the check. I don't care if we at court, Dog,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: I'm in court rule number seven. When you leave that
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: job today, I might be in front of the judge,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: walk through that little swivel dog, hand me my check.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: Don't say nothing. I don't care what level it is. Check.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Look here, dog, I'm having surgery at eight thirty. We'd
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: rule number three. I might be open, I might be under,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: but place that check in my right two fingers and
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: I'm a driffing. But what I can't do it leave
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: my money this dog job. Hey man, they wait, Yeah,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: I want at the stage. Put it between them two fingers.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: The one's gonna lock. But what bring me my check
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: when I wake up? When I come through in recovery,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: I shouldn't have my check in my hand. I don't
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: care if you if you had a funeral. Yeah, if
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: I'm up there at the casket at the grave, shake
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: before you leave that office this Thursday, come back, come
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: by the grave, y'all. But we're the second family. Call
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: lay my check on the backseat. I just when I
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: come back here, I should see my check that I
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: don't care what it is. You got to bring us
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: our check the doge where they're not gonna leave it.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I don't care where you go. Hey man, Look man,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: I'm calling in sick. I'm going to the trail rat.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: We're in the third wagon. I'll be in the back cooking.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Ride your called next to this horse and bring me
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: no way we leave it our check. We're not we
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: got to get paid with that. Nothing wrong with it.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Nothing that don't change at no level. No, I don't
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: trust can see their money. Already got money. You can't
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: bleeding it in with nothing. I don't know if it's money.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: You know, seriously, man, I got so you can't cheat
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: me out of now nickel. I want to see my check.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: I put it in now. Okay, but that direct deposit? No?
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: All right, more of this hazy, ignorant show. Steve Harvey
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Morning Show. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:08:13Speaker 1: are letting us know that they're saying things to the
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: same thing. We haven't come up with nothing new. You
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: got one, Steed, you got one. Scratch on that wall
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: is scratch on your head? You better say it. That's me. Now,
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: put a scratch on that wall. Scratch on yeah, scratch
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: on that wall. That means you really want to scratch
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: on you behind? If you scratch that wall, right, how
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: about it. I don't know if it could be done,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: but I damn never got beat to what I thought
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: it was gonna come up. I will beat all all
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: the black hawk you said that I will. I will
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: be like all the black that you standing in that
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: refrigerator dough like you bought. So what's what's the time living? No,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: you gotta get in and get out. I like it.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Somebody needs to tell me why all these lights is on.

- 1:10:12Speaker 1: hear me. Oh, mama was a heavy, little heavy, you know,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: little heavy. I'm gonna stock aside. So this is her pattern.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: Don't make me run after you, and she couldn't run anyway,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: But don't make me run after you. You know you
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: didn't want that. Let me gonna walk back and take
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: this because it ain't gonna be nice. That's what it
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: is dedicated to. Shirley's mama, Miss Helen, sit down. Everyone

- 1:11:54Speaker 1: your mama said, yeah, and your daddy hit home. Hey on,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: we're becoming our parents. Definitely becoming a pan all right,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: we'll be right back with more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening to show. We were talking about,
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: you know, when the best time to break up with
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: someone is during this holiday season. You guys said it
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: was definitely, and even Steve agreed after Thanksgiving? What did
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: you say? How to do it? Steve? I think you
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: should break up. You know at Halloween. It's the best
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: time to break up because we've missed that window. Ye,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: and you break up on Halloween, coach, that's the way. Hey,
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: I'm leaving boot and then do it like that. You
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: scared me? Yeah, and get on out. I thought you
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: was playing no. And then if you if you're gonna
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: see your number two on Thanksgiving, then you got to
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: go early in the morning. Nine thirty. Just stuck my
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: head in check on, y'all. I'm gonna come back and
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: get a plate. Ever come back or go over there
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: at halftime. Halftime you're making a liquor stoe run that
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: deep in the hood or Craigs is open selling? All right?
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: And then Tommy had some tips as well. What do
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: you have Tommy? This is for women. If you catch
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: your man cheating, don't leave him, keep back, show him
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: you support what he does. You see what I'm saying.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Show him you support what he does. That's that's new.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: I hate that. I love the stupidity that comes out
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: of the show. That's why Dallas brought us back. I
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: really hate that about myself. Yeah, all right, Look, we
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: got more of the shenanigans and stupidity coming up on
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show and some trending news at
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: thirty three minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. A right, Steve, you sir
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: said you don't like watching your beautiful grandkids, and they
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: are beautiful they are and why what is that about
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: the lead? I don't like watching them. I don't have
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: a lot of time. Shouldn't have been here. Always gotta
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: tell him something, boy, get out off of them, stop
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: pulling her half? Why y'all argut? Papa Rose won't let me?
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: Well your baby, you don't need to look in hill.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: But I don't like pepper pig lass cartoons. I'm looking
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: pig sitting up in hill, Papa, Let's watch Pepper Pig.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Papa don't like people understand Papa like watching Sports Center
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: and seeing it and Netflix. That's what I'm gonna watch. Brave, Papa.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: I want to drink of that. You can't drink mccallu.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: And don't ask me no damn Scotch. Where is Marjorie?
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: That's why they'd be having me watching that? Papa. We
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: want a bad time story. You're I don't know, nod
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: you know, but they don't beat. They ain't none that
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: kids post to him? Do they lead the kids with you,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: like like lead the house and just yeah, you know,
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: they'll go to no booze or something they know I
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: don't want to go. Then they're watching, okay, watching kids,
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: So I don't put them in the movie theater room.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: I got the big screen. All I got cartoons, I
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: mean little movies, you know, the Incredibles, and all this
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: year they gonna talk and ask questions all damn yeah,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: I leave, and then they're coming here and proper Emily
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: Dan who is Emmaly dog? I don't know none of
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: these right here. I don't like none of the matter.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: And then my kids, because I'm bought all of the iPads. Dad,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: we don't want our children raised on iPad. Quit dropping
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: them off over here. But they need the iPad for
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: they need somebody to talk to other than me. And see,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: your kids, aren't your grandkids vegan or something? Two of
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: them vegan. That's another thing coming in here. Cary left
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: b J. Whitney one time. Yeah, well he came in
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: my office. I was eating some ribs and I gave it,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: you know, and he was just over Joe. His eyes
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: got big. He kept looking at any. Didn't eat it
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: a little bit more, Dinny, look at it, didn't eat
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: a little bit more. Carl came in here, Dadny, what
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: did you give him? I said, eating the real He
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: don't eat meat. I said, yes, he did right now,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: And we don't do that at our house. You ain't
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: at your house coming in here asking me man and
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: raised the kid. Watch these kids. I watched these kids
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: like I won't to how long they've been in the
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: water until they look like prude. You have to bathe
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: them and all of the wild. Hey, let me tell
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: you no. I put them in the swimming pool with
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: their little raft round. They can't they can't climb out
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: of it, and they can't fall. You can move around
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: all right. Coming up next to our last break of
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: the day, and Steve will have some closing remarks. All
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: that's coming up at forty nine after the hour. Right
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: after this you're listening here we are, last break of
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: the day, last break of the day, with just one
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: more thing, Steve, I'm glad for one. I think we
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: all are that your closing remarks are back. Yeah, they're
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: always inspirational. You always motivate us to do something. Really,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: I was just now I don't want to sound you know,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: but anyway, what I was just asking God, what what
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: could I do more? What what could I do? And
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: it was just put on my heart to share more,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: you know, start take some moment out at the beginning
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: and the clothes of the show and just try to
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: encourage more people. You know, I've loved learned so much
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: over the years. You know, I've had a tough goal
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: of it as many of you have. Mine. Ain't my
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: story animal richer or deeper than nobody else's. So I
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: just try to share the information that I've actually learned,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: because I've learned a lot. And one of the things
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: that I've learned is about when to start. You know,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: whenever you come up with an idea or a thought
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: or move you want to make, or something comes from
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: your imagination, the thing that I find that stops people
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: oftentimes is when do I start. Now, here's the thing
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: with starting. What people do is they delay the start
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: by overthinking it. And if you overthink something, guess what
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: will eventually and you overexplain it to other people. Eventually
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: the how it won't work is going to come up.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: So you have this fabulous idea that you've thought of, right,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: and then you shared with some people and he said, man,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna go do this, and you start talking it
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: over and you start thinking it through and you share
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: it with more people. The more people you shared with,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: and the more people and the more you think it through,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: you know what, you keep coming up with the mishaps,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: the things that can go wrong, and you end up
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: delaying the start. The other thing that happens is people
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: try to line all they ducks up in a row
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: before they start so they can just go on and
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: start knocking them down. That's a mistake because that almost
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: never ever happens. I have yet to see any deal
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: I've ever done, any project i've started, go just the
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: way I thought it was gonna go. I have never
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: seen that. I have yet to close a deal that
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: just with smoothly, no wrinkles, no bumps, no nothing. I've
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: never seen that. So when you're waiting to start and
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: then the naysayers hit and you're waiting to start to
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: get your ducks lined up in the row, you're delaying
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: the process. You know when the best time to start
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: is right now, because right now alleviates procrastination. If you
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: wait on the ducks to get lined up in the
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: role and you're listening to the naysayers, procrastination has already
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: set in and taken place, and oftentimes it takes hold.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: So what I found is when I come up with
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: the idea, I start the process. Now I start the process. Now, look, man,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: you can easily do that. It's simple things. What stops
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: people is you try to figure out all the way through.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: You have this goal that you got and you say, okay,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna do this. Then if I do that, then
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: if I do that, and then you get stuck because
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: you go, well what happens after that? Because you've never
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: been in that area before, you've never gone down that road,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: so the unknown strikes you. And then because you can't
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: figure out what you do when you get to the unknown,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: you stop. So now you couldn't line up all your
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: ducks in the road, so the process to success is delayed. Again,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: stop doing that to yourself. In twenty eighteen, y'all start
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: now do it now. What you have to do next
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: will be shown to you. It'll your first step will
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: lead you to the stat second step. Now, sometimes on
