- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million buck things in its true good Steve to mother, stay,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join joining me. You gotta use that turn,
- 1:05Speaker 1: hur you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn. You
- 1:43Speaker 1: have got to turn them out to turn turn the
- 1:46Speaker 1: water the water go. Come, come on your thing. Uh huh,
- 2:01Speaker 1: I show will good morning everybody, y'all listening to the VARs,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show, Man on man on man. Grateful
- 2:13Speaker 1: for it comes with a huge amount of responsibility. I
- 2:17Speaker 1: didn't really know I was gonna have to be this responsible,
- 2:20Speaker 1: you know. Um, can I share something with y'all? I
- 2:23Speaker 1: started out to Finally I had gotten on track and
- 2:27Speaker 1: was able to see a way to even pursue my dream.
- 2:33Speaker 1: It has been a long, a long trip that I've
- 2:36Speaker 1: been on, and I've gone through so many phases of it.
- 2:40Speaker 1: It is rewarding along the way to accomplish your dreams.
- 2:45Speaker 1: What I'm saying is this, let me let me put
- 2:47Speaker 1: it together, because I got so much running through my
- 2:49Speaker 1: head right now. You know, it's it's one thing to
- 2:52Speaker 1: accomplish your dream, but there's joy in the process of
- 2:58Speaker 1: achieving it. See, some people are so caught up in
- 3:03Speaker 1: the goal, the final goal, that they find no joy,
- 3:09Speaker 1: no enjoyment in the process. If you have found what
- 3:15Speaker 1: it is you want to do and you strike out
- 3:19Speaker 1: on that journey, please understand you are far more blessed
- 3:24Speaker 1: than the average person to know what it is you
- 3:27Speaker 1: really want to do. To find your work in life,
- 3:32Speaker 1: your purpose, to find out what direction you want to
- 3:36Speaker 1: go in is such a blessing. The average person, if
- 3:40Speaker 1: you sit down and talk to them, oftentimes don't have
- 3:44Speaker 1: their life on track. And it'd be some people that
- 3:46Speaker 1: you're looking at you think God are going on because
- 3:49Speaker 1: of their appearance, their swagger, or they walk like it,
- 3:53Speaker 1: they talk like it, they look like it. But if
- 3:55Speaker 1: you sit down and talk to the average person, the
- 3:59Speaker 1: average person man does not know what their purpose is,
- 4:04Speaker 1: has not discovered what they want to do, and have
- 4:07Speaker 1: no idea how to get there. If you are on
- 4:10Speaker 1: the other side of that, if you understand your purpose,
- 4:14Speaker 1: if you have an idea of what you want to be,
- 4:17Speaker 1: and you are on your way there, you are truly blessed.
- 4:22Speaker 1: And in that blessing. You must recognize it as a blessing.
- 4:27Speaker 1: You must recognize the fact that you are on the
- 4:31Speaker 1: right side, and that there should be a sense of
- 4:34Speaker 1: accomplishment and a feeling of pride in you that you
- 4:38Speaker 1: are on track to accomplish your goal. See what used
- 4:42Speaker 1: to happen was sometimes I used to keep my nose
- 4:45Speaker 1: so on the grindstone that I wouldn't even look up
- 4:49Speaker 1: and realize. Man, hey, man, I know you're trying to
- 4:53Speaker 1: get here, but steve hold on, man, can't you see
- 4:56Speaker 1: what you've done so far? Can't you find just some
- 4:59Speaker 1: joy in the process. See, a lot of us lose
- 5:03Speaker 1: the joy of the blessings God has given us because
- 5:06Speaker 1: we're looking at the end. Tomot, I ain't there yet.
- 5:09Speaker 1: You on your way. I'm gonna give you an example.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I had a friend who told me that they wanted
- 5:16Speaker 1: to be a million now, and they asked me some
- 5:18Speaker 1: questions and I told him, so they started the process,
- 5:22Speaker 1: and I am telling you, this dude works extremely hard.
- 5:29Speaker 1: So about a year later we were talking. He had
- 5:34Speaker 1: found this business, he had set his goal, and he
- 5:40Speaker 1: was working towards it. Then about two years later I
- 5:43Speaker 1: ran up into him again. We were talking about it
- 5:45Speaker 1: and everything. It's a man really really appreciate the advice.
- 5:49Speaker 1: He said, Man, but this is all jacked up, man,
- 5:52Speaker 1: because I still ain't made that million I was talking about.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I said, well, hey, man, just just keep at it.
- 5:58Speaker 1: It's coming. He's man, keep at it. Man. You know
- 6:01Speaker 1: how long I've been doing this? Been two years now.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And I didn't say that to him, but I said
- 6:07Speaker 1: to myself, yeah, two years. He said, Man, I've been
- 6:10Speaker 1: grinding so long. Man, it's just it ain't having it
- 6:12Speaker 1: from me. I said, wait a minute, man, hold on,
- 6:15Speaker 1: hold on. I said, about how much you're making right
- 6:18Speaker 1: now a year? Man, about two hundred and fifty thousand.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I quit breathing. I said, well, my man, two years
- 6:28Speaker 1: ago you didn't have a clue. Two years later, you're
- 6:34Speaker 1: making a quarter of a million dollars. I said, man,
- 6:37Speaker 1: do you understand how blessed you are? I said, man,
- 6:41Speaker 1: your family was about to get put out two years ago.
- 6:46Speaker 1: You don't bought a house? Yeah, man, but this ain't
- 6:48Speaker 1: the house. I really won't. Ohoa Pardner, WHOA, I got that.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I got that. The house you really won't make Mike
- 6:55Speaker 1: call five eight million. I don't know, but Man, y'all
- 6:59Speaker 1: gotta hig you're making the payment, you drive it. You
- 7:02Speaker 1: ain't out no more. I said, holder, Man, you got
- 7:04Speaker 1: to stop. I said, you got to stop. I said, man,
- 7:06Speaker 1: because right now, man, you you coming across. That's real
- 7:09Speaker 1: ungrateful to me. And so he said, man, why are
- 7:11Speaker 1: you tripping like that? Man? Man, you act like don't
- 7:14Speaker 1: nobody want to have nothing but you? I said, whoa man?
- 7:16Speaker 1: Where you going with this conversation? I said, Oh, I
- 7:19Speaker 1: didn't come to you. I just came to you and
- 7:20Speaker 1: ask you how you doing. And I'm trying to point
- 7:23Speaker 1: out to you that the journey that you started on,
- 7:27Speaker 1: that you are on your weight, and you are in
- 7:29Speaker 1: the process of accomplishing your goals, and can you not
- 7:32Speaker 1: feel some joy and some pleasure in your accomplishment. Quit
- 7:36Speaker 1: tripping on the fact that you ain't made a million yet.
- 7:39Speaker 1: You on your way. You don't went from your He thought,
- 7:42Speaker 1: this dude was making fifteen thousand dollars a year. You
- 7:44Speaker 1: making quarter of a million dollars in two years. May
- 7:46Speaker 1: come on, man, can't you see? Can't you see? So
- 7:50Speaker 1: he said eventually a man, I kind of see what
- 7:53Speaker 1: you're saying. But that ain't about nothing to me because
- 7:55Speaker 1: I ran up into him a year and a half later.
- 8:00Speaker 1: How you're doing, man, Man, I showed wish I'd appreciate
- 8:04Speaker 1: it my life when I had it like that. I said,
- 8:06Speaker 1: what you mean, had it like that? Man? Just fell
- 8:09Speaker 1: on some hard times. Man, I'm right back why I was.
- 8:13Speaker 1: And then we talked. I said, hey, man, don't worry
- 8:15Speaker 1: about it. I said, Once you know how to accomplish something,
- 8:17Speaker 1: I said, you just reapply the same principles and start
- 8:20Speaker 1: on over again. Man, you know how hard it is
- 8:23Speaker 1: to be to start over. Okay, my man, Hold up, partner,
- 8:25Speaker 1: you can't do yourself like this again. First you wasn't
- 8:28Speaker 1: grateful for what you had. Now you're looking at the
- 8:31Speaker 1: fact that you might have to start over, and you
- 8:33Speaker 1: know how hard it is to start over. Maybe God said, okay,
- 8:38Speaker 1: you ain't happy with this. Okay, didn't handle it your way?
- 8:42Speaker 1: You obviously ain't happy with the way I'm bringing it
- 8:44Speaker 1: into your life. You want to handle it your weight,
- 8:46Speaker 1: Go ahead and handle it, because he will let you
- 8:48Speaker 1: have it your way. Can I tell you that he
- 8:51Speaker 1: will let you do it exactly the way you want
- 8:53Speaker 1: to it because He gives us all the power of choice.
- 8:55Speaker 1: So then maybe he said, Okay, you don't appreciate the
- 8:58Speaker 1: way I'm doing it. You don't like the favor I'm
- 9:00Speaker 1: showing you. You think it's take it too long. I'm
- 9:02Speaker 1: gonna let you do it your way. I'm not gonna
- 9:04Speaker 1: turn my back on you. I'm just gonna let you
- 9:06Speaker 1: do it your way. Just just say. Maybe he said that,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and now he right back where it was. So what
- 9:12Speaker 1: I try to get the young cat to understand was, man,
- 9:16Speaker 1: appreciate your life for what it is. Because like life,
- 9:20Speaker 1: Jenny's got that song that he got out off this album.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Still I still believe it could have been worse. And
- 9:26Speaker 1: now that it is worse, what's on your mind now, folks,
- 9:31Speaker 1: If you are on that side of life where you
- 9:33Speaker 1: have figured out what you want to do, you know
- 9:35Speaker 1: how you're gonna get that, and you know your purpose.
- 9:38Speaker 1: You're accomplishing what the majority of people never ever do.
- 9:41Speaker 1: So be grateful for your process. Don't tumble yourself, don't
- 9:45Speaker 1: throw yourself off to cliff. It's gonna be all right.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Success takes a measure of time. It is not easy.
- 9:52Speaker 1: If success were easy, everybody would be successful. You're listening,

- 14:29Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey is from Cecilia in Detroit.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Speaking of Detroit, she says, my boyfriend and I are
- 14:36Speaker 1: both twenty five years old and we've been together for
- 14:39Speaker 1: almost a year. Two nights ago, we shared an edible
- 14:42Speaker 1: brownie and we were both high af Once it kicked
- 14:47Speaker 1: in and I wanted to have sex, I stripped down
- 14:50Speaker 1: and laid across him naked. Laid across him naked. He
- 14:53Speaker 1: was so high that he couldn't get aroused, and it
- 14:56Speaker 1: was hilarious to me. I could not stop laughing at him.
- 15:00Speaker 1: He called me a jerk and said I heard his pride.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Two days later, he still won't talk to me. I
- 15:06Speaker 1: was high AF, so he shouldn't be mad at me.
- 15:10Speaker 1: How can I fix this? What are you mad about?
- 15:13Speaker 1: We had another effect on him than he did on you.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Blame it on the weed, boy, blame it. I mean,
- 15:24Speaker 1: I don't know nothing about getting high sol Yeah, that's
- 15:26Speaker 1: all I can did you Okay, don't know him she
- 15:36Speaker 1: was really high. All Right? Tory in Atlanta says, I'm
- 15:38Speaker 1: a forty year old female engaged to a thirty eight
- 15:41Speaker 1: year old man that calls himself a fashion stylist, even
- 15:45Speaker 1: though he's a landscape engineer by trade. We've started planning
- 15:49Speaker 1: for our Fall twenty twenty one wedding and I picked
- 15:52Speaker 1: out my wedding gown. He said he has to see
- 15:55Speaker 1: it before the wedding, but I wanted to be a
- 15:57Speaker 1: surprise when I walked down the aisle, he said his
- 16:00Speaker 1: taste is better than mine, and he will have to
- 16:02Speaker 1: approve of it. I'm seeing a more controlling side of
- 16:05Speaker 1: him than I've seen before. Am I reading too much
- 16:08Speaker 1: into this? No? You ain't. I mean food. It's her
- 16:13Speaker 1: wedding day, not chill. She can wear what she want
- 16:15Speaker 1: to wear. It'll be a surprise. You got better taste.
- 16:17Speaker 1: How you gonna pick out a woman's gown for a with? What? Man?
- 16:20Speaker 1: Do that? What man? Go pick the woman's wedding gown? Now?
- 16:26Speaker 1: What man? That's her and her mother and her girlfriend's
- 16:30Speaker 1: They go do that? Bad? Don't just put your ragged
- 16:33Speaker 1: ass tucks on that you fitting the rint and can
- 16:35Speaker 1: your ass to work? You're a landscape a dog. Yeah,
- 16:39Speaker 1: but even playing with you, you're gonna come in here
- 16:41Speaker 1: with old grass we smelling ass. I'll fit you for
- 16:43Speaker 1: Then if they leave this woman long, you've been here
- 16:52Speaker 1: with some orange jumpsuit. Tom on there, you didn't trimm,
- 16:54Speaker 1: didn't cut turn into a damn tuck seedar that's crazy
- 17:00Speaker 1: right there. That really John dead' but she sang, she's
- 17:07Speaker 1: sing a more controlling side. You gotta believe the stuff
- 17:10Speaker 1: that it's in front of you two, you know, she said.
- 17:14Speaker 1: My daddy always said, if I tell you the truth
- 17:19Speaker 1: and you don't believe me, then that ain't my fault. Okay, okay,
- 17:24Speaker 1: all right, thank you for that one too, Clo. She
- 17:27Speaker 1: needed to hear that. Anonymous in Arlington says Arlington, Virginia says,
- 17:31Speaker 1: I'm a single female and I'm dating an African man.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I met at a casino. We've been dating for three months,
- 17:39Speaker 1: and last week he introduced me to a beautiful young
- 17:42Speaker 1: lady that he called his other girlfriend. He said it's
- 17:45Speaker 1: customary for him to have more than one woman, but
- 17:48Speaker 1: nothing will change between us, he said, as other women
- 17:52Speaker 1: are for his entertainment and pleasure only, and I don't
- 17:56Speaker 1: have to be sexual with them. This guy is telling
- 17:59Speaker 1: me up front that he's a cheater. I think this
- 18:02Speaker 1: could be intriguing if he's really an African. Do you
- 18:06Speaker 1: think he's an African or just yea, Yeah, I think
- 18:09Speaker 1: he's an African. Yeah. I think he's a king too,
- 18:14Speaker 1: and I think I think yeah, yeah, I think he's
- 18:18Speaker 1: very rich. And the reason he was in the casino
- 18:22Speaker 1: was because he owned it. Yeah, if you know. And yeah,
- 18:28Speaker 1: I think all of it about him is true and
- 18:30Speaker 1: it is can be very intriguing and you can go
- 18:34Speaker 1: on over there and be a part of him. Now,
- 18:37Speaker 1: all Africans are not that way. You need to understand
- 18:39Speaker 1: the majority of them are not that way at all.
- 18:42Speaker 1: But you need to understand that he hadn't told you
- 18:45Speaker 1: and you know them THEMB behind Tomow this is other girlfriend. Okay,
- 18:52Speaker 1: so he ain't. He's not a cheat. He telling you
- 18:56Speaker 1: what he do. Right. Once again, if somebody tells you
- 19:03Speaker 1: the truth and you don't believe them, then that ain't
- 19:08Speaker 1: they fault. I'm just gonna say denial. Yeah, yeah, it's
- 19:14Speaker 1: a red flag. It is a red flag. And what
- 19:18Speaker 1: did George Leon Tolder tell me? Her grandmama told her
- 19:22Speaker 1: women should stop collecting red flags. Yeah, because yeah, that's
- 19:30Speaker 1: not what they're for thee they're warnings, you know, to
- 19:34Speaker 1: tell you. You know, I supposed to get him in
- 19:36Speaker 1: have all in Closet's no way I collection. He told
- 19:41Speaker 1: me this, this other woman, but I didn't know what
- 19:44Speaker 1: these many. Yeah, come on, now, please be smart about this. Yeah,
- 19:51Speaker 1: so go get intrigued. But he told you, Yeah, it's
- 19:58Speaker 1: gonna be real exciting. Go get intrigued. I can't tell
- 20:02Speaker 1: you how much trouble I hadn't been in messing around
- 20:05Speaker 1: with intrigued. Yeah, I hadn't been intrigued to the point
- 20:10Speaker 1: where I didn't got intriched in, tricked, entice, and embezzled.
- 20:16Speaker 1: It all comes from all that in what she called it,
- 20:24Speaker 1: enchanting in tregue, in trigue and chanting, chanting about that. Yeah,
- 20:30Speaker 1: and you're gonna be in the group enchantment too, Yeah,
- 20:35Speaker 1: going over there. Intrigue. Yeah, leave that alone. Please, thank
- 20:41Speaker 1: you Cello for that great advice. As usual, coming up
- 20:44Speaker 1: next to Nephew, tell me run that prank back right
- 20:47Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show coming up at the
- 20:52Speaker 1: top of the hour and Entertainment News Kobe Bryant's widow, Vanessa,
- 20:57Speaker 1: congratulated the LA Lakers and another sports entertainment news. We'll
- 21:01Speaker 1: talk about how the NBA bubble was the success. We'll
- 21:04Speaker 1: talk about all of these stories at the top of
- 21:06Speaker 1: the hour. But right now, the nephew in the building, Uh,
- 21:09Speaker 1: we'll run that prank back. What you got for his
- 21:11Speaker 1: naf Boogie snitching Buggie Niche radio right here, let's go, kire. Hello, man,
- 21:21Speaker 1: I speak to Buggie. Hey, Boogie, this is KB. Let
- 21:24Speaker 1: me ask you something, man, How you get out of
- 21:26Speaker 1: jail before Marcus got out of jail. How y'all go
- 21:29Speaker 1: to jail at the same time, but you get out
- 21:32Speaker 1: a month before him and he's still in there? Hold on,
- 21:35Speaker 1: hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on? Who is this?
- 21:38Speaker 1: This KB? This Marcus brother? Tell me how you get
- 21:42Speaker 1: out of jail? But Marcus still in there and you've
- 21:45Speaker 1: been out over mart Now they say no, they say,
- 21:52Speaker 1: you snitching, Buggie. That's what's going on. You up in there, snitching?
- 21:57Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on, you're slowing down down a little bit.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Ain't hold up? You know what. I really don't need
- 22:04Speaker 1: to be having this conversation with you. But you coming
- 22:06Speaker 1: at me like this. It's called bail. How you how
- 22:11Speaker 1: you ask how you out on bail? But Marcus still
- 22:14Speaker 1: in there? Tell me that, buggy man, how you gonna
- 22:17Speaker 1: call me with you know what? You know what? I
- 22:20Speaker 1: ain't saying a trip with you? But you now, just
- 22:23Speaker 1: hold on, let me hold on, let me pull those

- 29:22Speaker 1: the Miami Heat on Sunday, of course, nearly nine months
- 29:26Speaker 1: after the tragic death of her husband Kobe and their
- 29:29Speaker 1: daughter Gianna. Congratulations Uncle Pete. Vanessa captioned an old photo
- 29:34Speaker 1: of Kobe and Lakers general manager Rob Polinka on her
- 29:38Speaker 1: Instagram story. Vanessa also posted a quote from her late
- 29:41Speaker 1: husband and said, stay the course, block out the noise.
- 29:45Speaker 1: She added, which Kobe and Gianna, We're here to see this.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Kobe Bryant predicted that his best friend Rob would help
- 29:52Speaker 1: bring the Lakers a championship within two to three years
- 29:54Speaker 1: of the organization hiring him in twenty seventeen. While looking
- 29:59Speaker 1: up Rob Polenka told reporters, I guess you were right, man.
- 30:03Speaker 1: You gave me the energy to do it. Wow. How

- 30:24Speaker 1: and saluting the team he was so beloved and such
- 30:27Speaker 1: a great play. Oh yeah yeah. And other entertainment news,
- 30:31Speaker 1: the NBA is not only celebrating with Lebron James and
- 30:35Speaker 1: Anthony Davis the Lakers championship. The NBA's bubble was a
- 30:39Speaker 1: success as well. In the midst of a pandemic, the
- 30:43Speaker 1: NBA managed to handle COVID nineteen without any new cases.
- 30:48Speaker 1: I'm talking zero new cases. Okay, yeah, remember when this happened.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Everyone arrived in Orlando back in July, and the NBA
- 30:57Speaker 1: made it a priority to listen to the doctor and
- 31:00Speaker 1: the scientists and also Steve Yeah, and then they stopped
- 31:04Speaker 1: all that going home on the weekend, going down the
- 31:07Speaker 1: Magic City buying chicken wings. That we understood it, but
- 31:14Speaker 1: we did understand it. Can they run the Pandemic task
- 31:18Speaker 1: Force the NBA? But you know, yeah, you know, getting well,
- 31:24Speaker 1: Donald Trump ain't gonna let that happen. Man, all in
- 31:26Speaker 1: black people. Donald Trump does nothing for black people. Donald
- 31:31Speaker 1: Trump is not a concern of all of black lives matter.
- 31:36Speaker 1: The situation, Black or brown issues are the only issues
- 31:40Speaker 1: He fights against vehemently. Other than that, if you're a foreigner,
- 31:45Speaker 1: black or brown. All of his issues are around a
- 31:49Speaker 1: person of color. He ain't got no other issues. Here's
- 31:53Speaker 1: none Black Lives Matter, collar, Kaepernick, DOCTA, the wall. Uh,
- 32:01Speaker 1: just every every single thing he does is against people
- 32:05Speaker 1: that have color on him, every single issue. Yeah. And
- 32:09Speaker 1: like we said yesterday, he called Kamala Harris a monster.
- 32:13Speaker 1: She's a monster. People who get shot by the police,
- 32:18Speaker 1: oh you know that breaking the law. The little white
- 32:21Speaker 1: boy that seventeen was defending himself took a rifle down
- 32:25Speaker 1: there and king two people. Get out of here. He
- 32:27Speaker 1: don't speak up against white supremacy. He told a proud
- 32:31Speaker 1: boys whole type. Yea man, get out of here. I
- 32:34Speaker 1: don't know what else. Yeah, he he ain't got to
- 32:37Speaker 1: show me nothing else. Yeah. Oh but Steve, this is
- 32:40Speaker 1: a good news. Before we get out of here, your
- 32:41Speaker 1: favorite player, Houston Rockets star Russell rust Westbrook, left an
- 32:46Speaker 1: eight thousand dollars tip for the NBA Bubble hotel cleaning workers.
- 32:51Speaker 1: I thought that was very generous. Yeah cool, that's very generous.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Yeah all right, now time for headlines. Let's go, ladies
- 33:01Speaker 1: and gentlemen. Miss Anne trip. Thank you very much, everybody.
- 33:05Speaker 1: This is a trip with the news. Well. During the
- 33:07Speaker 1: first day of her Senate confirmation hearings yesterday and her
- 33:10Speaker 1: opening statement, Judge Amy Coney Barrett promised to apply the
- 33:14Speaker 1: law as written if she's seated on the Supreme Courts.
- 33:16Speaker 1: You know, she's only forty eight years old. Because of that,
- 33:19Speaker 1: Amy Coney Barrett could be on the High Court for
- 33:21Speaker 1: a generation, and Democrats are afraid that the seemingly ultra
- 33:25Speaker 1: conservative judge could decidedly shift the Supreme Court's balance on
- 33:29Speaker 1: issues like abortion and gun rights, and of course, healthcare.
- 33:32Speaker 1: GOP leaders say they expect to see a final approval
- 33:34Speaker 1: vote on Judge Coney Bryant shortly before election day. President
- 33:38Speaker 1: Trump's doctor has announced that he's not contagious, and in
- 33:42Speaker 1: a memorandum, doctor Sean Connelly says Trump has now tested
- 33:45Speaker 1: negative for the virus for the two consecutive days. The
- 33:48Speaker 1: President made his first post COVID campaign appearance early yesterday
- 33:52Speaker 1: evening in Sanford, Florida. Sanford, Florida, the town where a
- 33:56Speaker 1: man named George Zimmerman murdered an innocent, unarmed teenager named
- 34:00Speaker 1: Avon Martin and was acquitted Sanford, Florida, where the Black
- 34:03Speaker 1: Lives Matter movement was born. Lay this week, Trump scheduled
- 34:06Speaker 1: to make stops in Pennsylvania, Iowa, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.
- 34:10Speaker 1: By the way, the President voted part of his stump
- 34:12Speaker 1: speech yesterday to Puerto Rico, saying that he's just about
- 34:15Speaker 1: the best thing that ever happened to the island and
- 34:18Speaker 1: that quote, you better vote for me Puerto Rico. Problem is,
- 34:21Speaker 1: Puerto Ricans can't vote for Trump even if they want to.
- 34:24Speaker 1: They're a comonwealth, not a state Democrat. Joe Biden meanwhile
- 34:28Speaker 1: in Ohio yesterday saying the President continues to not take
- 34:32Speaker 1: the coronavirus seriously. Two and fifteen thousand dead because of COVID.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Experts say we're likeing to lose another two hundred thousand
- 34:40Speaker 1: people for the next few months unless we take some
- 34:42Speaker 1: serious action. And he doesn't know what he's doing. Joe
- 34:46Speaker 1: Biden's going to be in Florida today. By the way,
- 34:48Speaker 1: up the President did say he was felt healthy enough
- 34:51Speaker 1: to jump into the crowd and give people a big kiss.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Voters turned out and droves yesterday in Georgia on the
- 34:58Speaker 1: first day of early voting, and that's date, there are
- 35:00Speaker 1: reportedly thousand thousands of people waiting outside polling places all
- 35:04Speaker 1: over the Peach State and for hours and hours. But
- 35:07Speaker 1: they stayed the course. They stayed out there and they
- 35:09Speaker 1: didn't go home. Some two hundred thousand homes and businesses
- 35:12Speaker 1: still without power in Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi courtesy of
- 35:16Speaker 1: the hurricane Delta, which has since been downgraded to a
- 35:19Speaker 1: tropical depression. People outside Liberia are wondering what's going on
- 35:23Speaker 1: people inside that country or outrage. Liberian President George Wade
- 35:27Speaker 1: claims he enlisted the help of US experts to investigate
- 35:30Speaker 1: the recent string of deaths of government officials, all related
- 35:33Speaker 1: to government finance. The first death an official of a
- 35:36Speaker 1: Liberian revenue authority who died in a car crash. The
- 35:39Speaker 1: following day, two more tax agency officials were found dead
- 35:42Speaker 1: inside a park car, and then there was another official
- 35:45Speaker 1: found dead in his home. On a much much better
- 35:48Speaker 1: day and a much much better look. Finally, today is
- 35:50Speaker 1: National Face Your Fears Day. Yeah, I got a lot.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 35:58Speaker 1: to Harvey Morning Show. Yesterday, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham
- 36:04Speaker 1: went forward with his rushed Supreme Court hearing plan to
- 36:08Speaker 1: replace late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in defiance of Ginsberg's
- 36:13Speaker 1: own death bed wish not to replace her until after
- 36:17Speaker 1: the election. Also, Graham said that black people can go
- 36:21Speaker 1: anywhere in South Carolina if they are conservative. Take a listen,
- 36:25Speaker 1: yea care about everybody. If you're a young African American
- 36:29Speaker 1: an immigrant, you can go anywhere in this state. You
- 36:32Speaker 1: just need to be conservative not liberal. Is he insane?
- 36:38Speaker 1: I think he is not yet. Come on, Jamie Harrison, please,
- 36:42Speaker 1: if you're in South Carolina, pleaseth Carolina. John. I mean,
- 36:47Speaker 1: you know, if you black or Latina, you could go
- 36:49Speaker 1: anywhere in this state as long as you're conservative and
- 36:53Speaker 1: not liberal. I think audacity to say that you know something. Man,
- 36:58Speaker 1: You can't. You can't even hide racism when it's really there,
- 37:03Speaker 1: because it just comes at it leaks out your skin.
- 37:07Speaker 1: That's what we're going through right now in this country. Absolutely,
- 37:10Speaker 1: the divisiveness. Yeah, vote for Jamie Harrison in South Carolina. Meanwhile, yesterday,
- 37:15Speaker 1: campaigning in Florida, President Trump's bragging that he's now immune
- 37:20Speaker 1: to the coronavirus. He's saying, He's saying he's immune to it,
- 37:24Speaker 1: although no doctor or scientists will confirm that, but he's
- 37:29Speaker 1: sang he's immune, and in a totally just awkward moment,
- 37:33Speaker 1: he offered to turn his Florida rally into a kissing
- 37:36Speaker 1: booth of sorts. Did you hear what I just said?
- 37:40Speaker 1: President Trump, our elected president, said, I'll walk in there.
- 37:45Speaker 1: I'll kiss everyone in that audience. I'll kiss you guys
- 37:49Speaker 1: and the beautiful women. I'll just give you a big
- 37:51Speaker 1: fat kiss because he's immune to the virus. No, nobody
- 37:56Speaker 1: want to die. He's immune. If I'm there, man, you
- 38:03Speaker 1: try to leave, don't pray, don't matter. Go cocky one time.
- 38:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna how to keep the water on it with
- 38:09Speaker 1: your prayer. Y'all don't want to do it though. It's
- 38:14Speaker 1: unfit to be president. I'm telling y'all kids, what in
- 38:18Speaker 1: the world human? Yeah, it's just craziness. You're talking about kissing. Yeah,
- 38:25Speaker 1: and you're talking yeah. What's up? Man? Yeah? Yeah? Or
- 38:31Speaker 1: eyebrow raise yeah, Yeah, that's crazy. Yeah. He says he's
- 38:36Speaker 1: immune to the coronavirus. He keep it stupid though, you
- 38:40Speaker 1: gotta get Yeah, he keep it. What do you think, Steve?
- 38:44Speaker 1: I just I mean man, he's he's he's not he's
- 38:48Speaker 1: something's wrong with him. But what's really ridiculous is what's
- 38:52Speaker 1: wrong with the people who are listening to this, that's
- 38:56Speaker 1: following him. Yeah, all right, if we're moving on, coming
- 39:02Speaker 1: up at thirty four minutes after the hour, is the
- 39:05Speaker 1: goat debate different now? Michael Jordans versus Lebron James. The
- 39:10Speaker 1: guys will talk right after this. You're listening to show,
- 39:16Speaker 1: all right, come on, Junior here early with sports talk.
- 39:20Speaker 1: What's going on? Well, surely, but one thing going on
- 39:23Speaker 1: to the Los Angeles Lakers or the Cleveland Los Angeles Lakers.
- 39:27Speaker 1: One I got LA yeah you know, you know Lebron James. Yeah,
- 39:36Speaker 1: Lebron James, Anthony Davis and the Lakers now have the
- 39:39Speaker 1: NBA World Champs. So you know this is Lebron James
- 39:41Speaker 1: fourth one, you know, and now you know they got
- 39:44Speaker 1: the debate. Now, man, you know what is it now?
- 39:46Speaker 1: Does this change is for for Lebron James? Does this
- 39:49Speaker 1: put Lebron James closer? Or is it still no? No contest?
- 39:53Speaker 1: Who's the better player? Michael Jordan, who had a better
- 39:55Speaker 1: career Michael Jordan Lebron James. Because you know as soon
- 39:57Speaker 1: as it started right at the Championship one, it could
- 39:59Speaker 1: even enjoy it came up right away. You know, man,
- 40:04Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm absolutely done with it. I don't care.
- 40:08Speaker 1: I think, Man, what has happened is is that at
- 40:12Speaker 1: what I've even done myself, and I've been guilty of it,
- 40:15Speaker 1: is I've been forcing myself to compare two people that
- 40:19Speaker 1: I absolutely love and respect and that have been greatness,
- 40:23Speaker 1: sheer greatness in each one of their eras. I think
- 40:29Speaker 1: that Michael Jordan in his era of basketball supremely hands
- 40:35Speaker 1: down the greatest basketball phenomen to ever play the game.
- 40:40Speaker 1: In this new era of basketball, the guy that is
- 40:45Speaker 1: the dude right now that has gone to three different
- 40:49Speaker 1: cities and won three different rings and has gone to
- 40:56Speaker 1: the finals almost every year of his damn like ten
- 41:01Speaker 1: straight career. Ten He's been to the finals ten of
- 41:05Speaker 1: his seventeen seasons and got four ends. And yeah, he's
- 41:11Speaker 1: just the greatest thing on earth right now. Lebron James
- 41:17Speaker 1: is the greatest show on Earth right now. Yes, And
- 41:20Speaker 1: in terms of longevity, no one has played the game
- 41:25Speaker 1: at the level he's played at for the length of
- 41:27Speaker 1: time that he's done. So I'm done with it. I
- 41:31Speaker 1: think that Jordan is the greatest of all time in
- 41:35Speaker 1: his era and in this new era right here, it's
- 41:38Speaker 1: Lebron James hands. Yeah, I think that's fair. I think
- 41:43Speaker 1: that's fair. We can have more than one goat, now
- 41:48Speaker 1: we can have two goats. Can can't he be room
- 41:50Speaker 1: at the top of the you know for both of them.
- 41:52Speaker 1: It's a lot of room at the top, a lot
- 41:54Speaker 1: of goats. Man. I'm come on, he ain't like Magic
- 41:58Speaker 1: wasn't great, you know, like when Kareem w it wasn't
- 42:03Speaker 1: even like, you know, Patrick Ewin won a great ball player.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Michael Jordan just denied. Give a look at something. Michael
- 42:09Speaker 1: Jordan denied a lot of legends of ring though. That's
- 42:12Speaker 1: just that's just let's just be a but I'm gonna
- 42:20Speaker 1: tell you something. You ain't should have a ring. But
- 42:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something. Man. We we you know, man,
- 42:25Speaker 1: we've been talking around it. But two dudes, man, that
- 42:28Speaker 1: got to get mentioned. I'm telling Magic Johnson man and
- 42:36Speaker 1: one more kaream up dude Japan. Yeah, we just yeah,
- 42:40Speaker 1: just go ahead, Why you whisper? Why is it a
- 42:48Speaker 1: sacred man? Congratulations Lebron Man, serious he really deserves it,
- 43:03Speaker 1: and activism and everything. He's just such a complete and
- 43:07Speaker 1: whole not just a sports figure icon. He's such a
- 43:12Speaker 1: an all around man, you know, just great human thing.
- 43:16Speaker 1: He's such a stand up guy. And just to think
- 43:18Speaker 1: about the bubble, just to think about this season and
- 43:20Speaker 1: everything that they all went through this year. Want to
- 43:24Speaker 1: do it? Yeah, yeah, he didn't. He didn't want to
- 43:27Speaker 1: do it at first. Yeah. I don't like them to
- 43:29Speaker 1: call him the Bubble champs. No, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 43:32Speaker 1: no court with everybody played, they played bro everybody played. No, no, no, no.
- 43:38Speaker 1: This was a title and it was a hard title
- 43:41Speaker 1: because you had to you had to play without fans.
- 43:43Speaker 1: You played it in the ball, away from your family,
- 43:45Speaker 1: and it was a year long season. Get out of here.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, very very draining, exhausting. Yeah. No fans
- 43:53Speaker 1: to lift you up, nobody to cheer for you. Yeah.
- 43:57Speaker 1: But when not that, this is okay? When the next
- 44:01Speaker 1: season starts next week? Yeah all right, next week? Coming
- 44:05Speaker 1: up next the Nephew with Today's praying phone call. Right
- 44:08Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 44:13Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 44:16Speaker 1: four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today, the
- 44:18Speaker 1: subject women seem to love a man in uniform. We'll
- 44:24Speaker 1: get to that in a minute, but right now, the
- 44:26Speaker 1: nephew is here with today's praying phone call. What you
- 44:30Speaker 1: got for us? Now? The plumber? All Like when you
- 44:33Speaker 1: say plumber, I just think of one thing that awkwle buggy,
- 44:41Speaker 1: No plumber, Let's go cat doc. Hello. Yeah, I'm trying
- 44:45Speaker 1: to reach out, y'all. Mister please missus how you're doing.
- 44:50Speaker 1: You're the person that does the plumbing work, am I right? Yeah? Yeah, nah,
- 44:54Speaker 1: my wife got some work done for you. You come
- 44:57Speaker 1: by the house now, do you know, I know you
- 45:00Speaker 1: probably got quite a bit of work. No, well, I
- 45:03Speaker 1: do so many throughout the day. So I have it
- 45:06Speaker 1: on my receiver. I can look at over Hill about
- 45:09Speaker 1: three days ago. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I can recall was
- 45:16Speaker 1: a lady there, Yeah, it was tarlet was backed up
- 45:20Speaker 1: and was overflowing, and yeah yeah, yeah, I can recall
- 45:23Speaker 1: that something's wrong with the sinking now too, and that
- 45:27Speaker 1: that had a leak in the back of it. Yeah,
- 45:29Speaker 1: I had a leak in the back and uh, and
- 45:30Speaker 1: I've done that. I fixed that there for you and uh.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I took that toilet that I had around the bottom
- 45:36Speaker 1: of your base, the tilet base there. I had to
- 45:39Speaker 1: take that up and retape it because that tape head
- 45:42Speaker 1: came came loose. It was kind of old. And I,
- 45:44Speaker 1: you know, I went through that and done all that
- 45:46Speaker 1: and saved it up and sealed it up and and
- 45:49Speaker 1: I rebased that seal back there on your in the tarlet,
- 45:51Speaker 1: and and your sink had a little leak back there
- 45:54Speaker 1: in the back. I fixed that because you know, that
- 45:56Speaker 1: was really easy. Now, So well, that's something that went
- 46:01Speaker 1: wrong with the tarlet. Did you did you put another
- 46:05Speaker 1: pipe or something? Did you rewrite a pipe or anything? No? No,
- 46:09Speaker 1: Like I said, all I did. I took the base
- 46:11Speaker 1: of it off there, and I taped it up where
- 46:14Speaker 1: that old tape there, and then I'll put me some
- 46:17Speaker 1: cement which was with uh with my pipe there, and
- 46:21Speaker 1: and I sealed it all up, and I checked it
- 46:23Speaker 1: out and let it drive and see if it leaked,
- 46:25Speaker 1: and it didn't leak, and I put your base back
- 46:28Speaker 1: on and you know, and then then then you had
- 46:30Speaker 1: a little leak there in your sink, and that was
- 46:34Speaker 1: on the top of the your nozzle there, and I
- 46:37Speaker 1: fixed that. Miss. I'm gonna tell you because I'm gonna
- 46:40Speaker 1: be honest with you and tell you I'm not happy
- 46:42Speaker 1: with what I got. You're not happy with it? No, Now,
- 46:45Speaker 1: let me tell you what's happening. Now. Say somebody in
- 46:49Speaker 1: the bathroom and they flushed that tarlet right right when
- 46:52Speaker 1: they flushed that tarlet, come out the sink in the kitchen. Oh,
- 47:00Speaker 1: tim me that, tim me that say that what you
- 47:01Speaker 1: did again? I said, when the flushed the tarlet in
- 47:04Speaker 1: the bathroom, right, come out to shank in the kitchen.
- 47:09Speaker 1: It come out in the kitchen like that. I don't
- 47:11Speaker 1: know what how you ropped something like you didn't you
- 47:13Speaker 1: didn't miss routed or something. No, I didn't. I didn't
- 47:15Speaker 1: route anything. All I did was fixed up and put
- 47:18Speaker 1: the tape on there, so I fixed the leak that
- 47:21Speaker 1: was you know you it's a base of your toilet.
- 47:24Speaker 1: I didn't reroute anything. I don't. I don't. I don't understand.
- 47:27Speaker 1: How can you you reroute a fight? I don't. That's
- 47:31Speaker 1: not right to go into your kitchen and shoot, We'll
- 47:35Speaker 1: shoot crap out of your kitchen like that. I don't
- 47:38Speaker 1: know what what what you did when you was up
- 47:40Speaker 1: onunderd and how you rerouted something. But that's what happened,
- 47:43Speaker 1: and it's got, it's got. It's going from the from
- 47:46Speaker 1: that bathroom when you flushed that Tarlet it come out
- 47:49Speaker 1: in my sink in my kitchen. Now, what's bad about it?
- 47:52Speaker 1: This morning, I'm in there cooking and what your name again?
- 47:57Speaker 1: My name is? They called me? Okay, and crap is
- 48:01Speaker 1: coming out of your your plumbing, in your in my
- 48:04Speaker 1: in my kitchen. Now this morning I set out some
- 48:06Speaker 1: red beans and rice to cook, and I put my
- 48:09Speaker 1: beans on not not I've been cooking. I've been cooking.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Listen to me. I've been cooking all though. I'm trying
- 48:14Speaker 1: to be professional about this because you know, I guarantee
- 48:17Speaker 1: of work. I've been doing this over twenty years. And
- 48:19Speaker 1: then one thing I do, I guarantee of work. And
- 48:22Speaker 1: I'm real proud about the things that you know I do.
- 48:24Speaker 1: But what what did you have anybody else over there
- 48:27Speaker 1: working on your pipe? Ain't nobody you in your kitchen?
- 48:31Speaker 1: You know what I did with your bathroom? You is
- 48:33Speaker 1: a room. The bathroom don't have anything to do with
- 48:36Speaker 1: your kitchen. That's flow a pipe have anything to do
- 48:39Speaker 1: with one. All the others didn't explain that coming through
- 48:43Speaker 1: my sink and my kitchen. I can't explain it coming
- 48:46Speaker 1: from your your sink. I can only explain that's getting
- 48:49Speaker 1: the toilet in your sink. I have no idea. I'm
- 48:52Speaker 1: gonna listen because that thing got me wrapped up. Listen,
- 48:55Speaker 1: not what it is. It Well, you got me kind
- 48:57Speaker 1: of wrapped up here because you know, like I said,
- 48:59Speaker 1: I do this shill and I've been notable twenty years
- 49:02Speaker 1: and that's the first time I ever heard anything like
- 49:04Speaker 1: that being't happening. I ain't never seen it. Well, I'm
- 49:06Speaker 1: gonna tell you it's just disgusting to be cooked, to
- 49:09Speaker 1: cook red beans all day and not now I find
- 49:12Speaker 1: out that it's sitting in some dirty water like that.
- 49:14Speaker 1: You didn't smell the water when you was in the
- 49:17Speaker 1: in your seat, because I'm you didn't had a lout smell.
- 49:21Speaker 1: I didn't smell nothing that this is more earlier at
- 49:23Speaker 1: this moment. I washed my hand now and I didn't
- 49:26Speaker 1: I washed my hair in there. That's just what it
- 49:30Speaker 1: smelled like a bagger. I'm just, I just I just
- 49:34Speaker 1: refused to believe that the work I did on your
- 49:36Speaker 1: toilet in there, taking some stuff up and seeming some
- 49:39Speaker 1: stuff up and on your seat had anything to do
- 49:42Speaker 1: with scrap me and shout out to them kitchen seat. Well,
- 49:46Speaker 1: I tell you what what I need to do is
- 49:48Speaker 1: for you to get your back over here and fix it,
- 49:50Speaker 1: because this here ain't a good job and I don't
- 49:52Speaker 1: recommend nobody using you. Well, first of all, why I'm
- 49:56Speaker 1: trying to be professional about it and you cussing me
- 50:00Speaker 1: and that ain't gonna get nothing done. This once come
- 50:02Speaker 1: out my pike, it was no longer professional. Not you
- 50:06Speaker 1: had somebody else over there doing something in your scene.
- 50:09Speaker 1: I ain't had nobody. Do you have a guy was
- 50:11Speaker 1: just fasing over looking at it. Ain't hunding the whalers
- 50:16Speaker 1: and crowd coming out of my God. You get your
- 50:19Speaker 1: back over and you fix what you boled to fix
- 50:22Speaker 1: and fine it right then, I'm not paying another damn
- 50:25Speaker 1: dying for it. Ain't I trying to be professional about it.
- 50:29Speaker 1: I'm listening to what you gotta say. I shout a
- 50:32Speaker 1: long time ago when I guaranteam of work and I'm
- 50:35Speaker 1: trying to, you know, dealing with my customers. When I
- 50:38Speaker 1: left ahead, I told her the pleasure tarlet for Tarley,
- 50:41Speaker 1: she ran the faster in the bathroom. We ain't no
- 50:44Speaker 1: problems like you had. Somebody else over out they're doing whatever.
- 50:48Speaker 1: Lord knows what I don't. I damn sure, I don't know.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Do you know? I ain't none of my business? I
- 50:52Speaker 1: ain't some of them red beans and nothing what bothered me? Now?
- 50:55Speaker 1: I feel sick to my stomach. I'm feeling that mad
- 51:00Speaker 1: E and what you know down it's like you you
- 51:04Speaker 1: couldn't ill I'm gonna make your dick something the red beans.

- 51:18Speaker 1: nothing leaking one, Pike, don't be with the other like
- 51:22Speaker 1: you get over fixt Pike. That what you you? You
- 51:26Speaker 1: your wife kiss? Because I know well I did. I'll
- 51:30Speaker 1: stand the job over now. You ain't done nothing. If
- 51:33Speaker 1: I got them me in the right, stick them up,
- 51:35Speaker 1: you you and your pipes, and I don't. I don't
- 51:38Speaker 1: give a damn I know what's coming. I mean the rights.
- 51:42Speaker 1: I ain't done nothing over there in your damn kitchen
- 51:45Speaker 1: to have you that I'm set with me. I got

- 55:29Speaker 1: Subject Women seem to Love a Man in uniform. Dear
- 55:34Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I'm a twenty eight year old black man
- 55:37Speaker 1: serving in the United States Army and I'm doing quite
- 55:40Speaker 1: well for myself, and it's causing a problem with my
- 55:43Speaker 1: love life. I'm hesitant when it comes to dating because
- 55:47Speaker 1: I've been meeting the wrong types of women. I am
- 55:50Speaker 1: ready to settle down and start a family, but I
- 55:53Speaker 1: seem to attract female gold diggers. I've been on several
- 55:56Speaker 1: dates the past few months, and when I met each
- 55:59Speaker 1: of the women, and the first thing they ask is
- 56:01Speaker 1: what do I do in the military. What I do
- 56:04Speaker 1: in the military. I've been upfront with them and told
- 56:07Speaker 1: them what my rank is and what my job is,
- 56:09Speaker 1: and they're instantly attracted to me, it seems. On one date,
- 56:13Speaker 1: we met at a lounge and a hookah bar, and
- 56:16Speaker 1: the girl asked me to buy her a whole bottle
- 56:18Speaker 1: of Hennessey so we could ball out in the club.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Do you know how much a bottle of Hennessey costs
- 56:23Speaker 1: in a club? I got her a drink, we left,
- 56:27Speaker 1: and I will never call her again. I went out
- 56:30Speaker 1: to lunch with another girl and she started talking about
- 56:33Speaker 1: how much her monthly bills are and how much she
- 56:35Speaker 1: spends monthly to look that good. She told me if
- 56:38Speaker 1: we dated, it would be my responsibility to keep her
- 56:42Speaker 1: looking good. This was on our first date. My most
- 56:46Speaker 1: recent experience was with a girl I dated for three
- 56:49Speaker 1: weeks and she was eager to have sex, which scared me.
- 56:52Speaker 1: When we started to get undressed, I reached for a
- 56:55Speaker 1: condom and she told me that I did not have
- 56:58Speaker 1: to use it because she'd be straight financially if she
- 57:01Speaker 1: was to end up pregnant by a man in uniform.
- 57:04Speaker 1: I had heard that, because, yeah, I had heard that.
- 57:08Speaker 1: Because the military base is all this town has going
- 57:11Speaker 1: for it, all of the girls try to get a
- 57:13Speaker 1: military man so they can marry him and get the money.
- 57:17Speaker 1: I am stationed here for another two years, So is
- 57:20Speaker 1: there a way to tell if a woman is into
- 57:22Speaker 1: me for me or if she's into it for the money? Woo? Well,
- 57:29Speaker 1: it sure doesn't seem like it now does It sure
- 57:32Speaker 1: doesn't seem like it. And I gotta say this first off,
- 57:35Speaker 1: thank you for your service. The one thing you can
- 57:38Speaker 1: say about these women is that they were open and
- 57:40Speaker 1: honest upfront. They didn't leave anything out for you to
- 57:43Speaker 1: guess about or to wonder about. They definitely let you
- 57:47Speaker 1: know up front what they were looking for. And I'm
- 57:50Speaker 1: sure that's discouraging if you're trying to have something real
- 57:53Speaker 1: and meaningful with the person. But you're gonna have to
- 57:56Speaker 1: realize that that might not be the case in this
- 57:59Speaker 1: crazy town. So my advice to you is to stay focused,
- 58:03Speaker 1: don't get caught up, and always, always, if you're going
- 58:06Speaker 1: to have sex with a woman, please protect yourself because
- 58:09Speaker 1: she told you you know what was up. Okay with
- 58:12Speaker 1: trying to have a baby with you and everything. The
- 58:14Speaker 1: other thing is, don't give up on your dream. If
- 58:17Speaker 1: you're ready to settle down and start a family, it
- 58:20Speaker 1: just has to be with the right one. And that's
- 58:22Speaker 1: whether you're in the military in a town like this
- 58:24Speaker 1: or not. It always has to be with the right one.
- 58:26Speaker 1: You've met a few bad apples, but you know you
- 58:29Speaker 1: haven't met all of the eligible women there. And since
- 58:33Speaker 1: you say it, seems like they're instantly attracted to you
- 58:35Speaker 1: when you tell them your rank and what you do.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Don't be so quick to tell everything. How about that?
- 58:43Speaker 1: Do you have to wear your uniform on dates? Can't
- 58:46Speaker 1: you wear some jeans, you know, and a nice shirt.
- 58:49Speaker 1: You know you're probably really fit, wear a T shirt
- 58:52Speaker 1: or something, you know, think about it. I just say,
- 58:54Speaker 1: based on what you've already had with these women, which
- 58:58Speaker 1: you've already experienced, I just think it's time for you
- 59:00Speaker 1: to change your game up, you know, get out of
- 59:02Speaker 1: the uniform, and maybe you'll attract the kind of woman
- 59:05Speaker 1: that you're looking for. You know, That's what I'm thinking.
- 59:08Speaker 1: Just slow down, rethink, you know, change your game up,
- 59:12Speaker 1: like I said, and you'll attract a different type of woman.
- 59:16Speaker 1: Steve wow, I have a minute, so let me just
- 59:22Speaker 1: say this right here. I'm going to talk some sense
- 59:27Speaker 1: into this twenty eight year old man. When we come back,
- 59:30Speaker 1: little brother, I'm gonna put you on what's called gaining.
- 59:36Speaker 1: I understand where you're coming from. I understand your dilemma
- 59:40Speaker 1: and it's real. But you need to understand a couple
- 59:44Speaker 1: of things too. I think you are making you your
- 59:49Speaker 1: pickers off, if you know what I mean. I think
- 59:52Speaker 1: your picker is way off because all women are not
- 59:57Speaker 1: this way. There. It's a large number of them this way,
- 59:59Speaker 1: but all women or not. And I think your pickers off.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: When we come back, I'm gonna show it to you
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: in the letter. All right, thank you, Steve. Coming up
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: your part two of your response at twenty three minutes
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: after the hour. The subject of my letter for today
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: is women seemed to love a man in uniform. We'll
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: get back in it after this. You're listening to all right,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, you're looking good on zoom too. Let's
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letter subject women seemed to love a
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: man in uniform? Well, see, brother, I think that you
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: got a couple of things might be wrong here, and
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: I just want to show you a couple of things.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Women seemed to love a man in uniform. Women seemed
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: to love money. They don't give a damn what you
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: have on, you know, bro, actor, comedian, ball player. Yeah,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: football uniform, basketball uniform, fireman uniform, policeman uniform, military uniform.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: You're working down, give it damn if it's a sanitation uniform.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: If you're making enough and you're working your fair game
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: to what's going on in this letter today, year old
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: black man serving in the United States Army, doing quite
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: well for myself, and it's creating a problem for you.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: You don't like going out dating because you keep meeting
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: the wrong types of women. No, no, brother, you keep
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: picking the wrong types of women. I'm ready to settle
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: down and start a family right there. Then you gotta
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: start looking for a certain kind of woman. But I
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: seem to attract female gold diggers. I have been on
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: several dates, and all of them seemed to go bad
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: for you. One date you said you went on. You
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: met at a lounge and a hookah bar, and the
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: girl asked me to buy her whole bottle Hennessy so
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: we could ball out in the club. Do you know
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: how much a bottle of Hennessy costs. I don't know,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: but listen to this though a lot. It's called bottle service.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: She want them act like they you know, when they
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: bring a bottle to the table, you know it comes
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: with sparkles or whatever. You know. She ready to turn up.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: But if a woman asked you to buy her a
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: whole bottle of Hennessy, she ain't a gold digger. She
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: an alcoholic. They bring champagne out in bottles with the
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: lighters on it. She didn't ask for a whole bottle
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: of damn Hennessy, brown ass liquor. That ain't gonna that's
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: an alcoholic. Your picker is all that's gone down the line.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: You got her drink and left, and you never called again.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Then you went out to lunch with another girl. She
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: talked about how much her motherly bills are and how
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: much she spends monthly to look that good. She told me,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: if we dated, it would be my responsibility keep on
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: looking good. This is our first date. Well you should
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: have told her, Well, let me tell you something. If
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: we started dating, let me tell you how you're gonna
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: end up looking. So if you think we've been to
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: pay for all the lashes, nail's, breast make up, foundation,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: nip line, up front lace, all this hill we cut
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: out and all this hidden. Now you're gonna be looking
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: a little bit different. Let's see what your real hair
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: looked like. Cut back on some of this makeup. Let's
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: tone it down now, let's move on down the line.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: Then you met this girl, and after three weeks she
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: was eager to have sex, which scared me. What okay?
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: When we started to get undressed, I reached for a condom.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: She told me I ain't have to use it because
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: she'd be straight financially if we refused to end up
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: getting pregnant by man it uniform. I'd heard because the
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: military basis all this time got going forward. That's crazy.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Listen to me. I'm not putting the condom on just
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: so you don't end up pregnant. I'm putting this condom
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: on so when our year date, I ain't holling all
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: down the damn hallway, Damn the baby. We ain't got
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: to worry about that part. See brother, throughout the letter,
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: your picker is wrong. You've picked an alcoholic. You picked
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: a gold digger that wants to dress up and told
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: you you responsible, and now you want me to say,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: don't put that condom on now, hopefully you left the
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: room that right away, he got the condom, or you
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: left one or the two. But brother, you gotta stop
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: this here. There are a lot of women out there
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: who are looking for the same thing you're looking for.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: There are a lot of women looking for something real. Man.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: You keep using the fact that you have on this uniform,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: and this uniform, you are using your rank to pull women.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Let's stop playing these reindeer games. Because bro, you wear
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: the uniform and you use your rank to pull the women.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: That's your bait. You know what's happening. In that time
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I heard this all the town got going forward. You
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: know that's all they got going forward. That's why everybody
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: know what your rank is, because you won't it going
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: for you. So when you stop playing the games, they're
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: gonna stop playing the games. So come on a little brother,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I'm just being real with you, Uncle Steve, know what's
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: going on. Using all that to get to women of
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: your choice. Now you want to get a real one.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: But now you still using the uniform and the paycheck
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: as debate. You ain't to win all that, damn well
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: for yourself now, thank you. Yeah, you could take that
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: uniform off sometimes, man. All right, yes, all right, thank you. Steve.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Post your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: on Instagram and Facebook. Please check out the Strawberry Letter
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: podcast on demand now coming up at forty six minutes
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: after the hour. Our resident Poet Junior is here with
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: another poem. You know who. I wonder who it's for you. Yeah,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: we'll get into it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, you know I
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: love this part. Our resident Poet Junior is here with
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: a special birthday poem, our very own birthday girl, Carla Farrell. Yeah, Carlin,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: you know today's especial Day's designs a special poem. I
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: had wrote this. Uh, I was of weeks for this.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: I knew it was coming, and wow a poem I did.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Um And it's a deep poem. It's really called just
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: call us Birthday palem. Listen, that's so deep that it
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: took him weak. Yeah that's all. So here you go,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: call us Birthday Poem. She's the captain of this vessel.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: She's the one that holds a straight if you say
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: anything out of pocket. She's the first to say, wait, wait, Steve,
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: we're not saying that. Wait She'll stop all the filthy
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: mouth language from getting on this show. You can try
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: it if you want to. But she's the first to say,
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: hell no, Steve, hell no, hell no, we're not saying that.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: We're not saying that. So we celebrate your birthday and
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: keep it and keep on cracking that whip. Happy birthday,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: call a Farrell, you the captain of the ship the end.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Wow will thank you, Junior, thank you that all your
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: y'all your aunties in there. No, no, Steve Waite, we're
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: not say that. We're not all right. So I just
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: want to let you I will be releasing the book
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: of Poems for the Lolo price for shipping. Yes, called
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Junior's Book of Poems. You know it would include the
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: belated Father's Day poem, you know, all the great poems,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Valentine's Day poem, call his Birthday poem. You're just gonna
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: be in there, in the National Poetry Day poem, gonna
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: be in there, your Birthday palem, gonna be in there,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: and my favorite, what is a poem? It's gonna be
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: in there you know all the proceeds are going to
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Sickle Cell Found all right. I don't want to brag,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: but there's been talking about what is a poem if
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: they're turning into a movie a movie? And I don't
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: talk about yeah right now, Kevin hrn time period fighting
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: of it right now? You know, I just want to
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: try to know. And I don't want to discuss because
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: I jinx it if I keep talking about it. But
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: that poem right there took weeks. That man, you can't
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: put this type of pressure on me. Tommy, you don't
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: even know what I'm asking. How many weeks to take?
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: What's about three? It took about three. But the thing
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: about you know, Junior, I'm not gonna do it today,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: but Tommy exactly. And the thing about it, Junior is see,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: I don't normally like poetry because it's too deep for me.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: And I'm not that deep. I don't go that far down. Yeah,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: but your poems wow, right here at the top. See
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: did you like my birthday? Pa? Come on? A couple
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: of them been all right? But he needs the book.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: The book anything take weeks to write? I expect more,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: all right, thank you, Junior. Coming up at the top
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: of the hour, we're gonna talk about bullying and trolling.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: Get a little serious, uh, and we'll discuss more at
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: the top of the hour. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: to show. Megan Marcole and Prince Harry made another appearance
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: this past weekend, but this time it wasn't virtual. The
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: couple actually sat down for a socially distant interview on
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Teenage Therapy That's a Podcast. It was in honor of
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Saturday's World Mental Health Day, during which Megan opened up
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: about the dangers of online bullying or trolling. Megan says
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: that her pregnancy with baby Archie was almost unsurvivable. Take
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: a listen. I can speak personally to I'm told that
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: in twenty nineteen I was the most trolled person in
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: the entire world, male or female. Now eight months of that,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I wasn't even visible. I was on maternity leaver with
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: a baby. But what was able to just be manufactured
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: and churned out? It's almost unsurvivable. Wow. Wow, Megan Marcole,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: the former Duchess Wow from England. Ya can you imagine? Now?
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: That explains why she left? But I know, yeah, bullying
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: and trolling social media, just being a celebrity. I just
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: and her, you know, I'm sure, I'm sure they did
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: her well. I mean, you know, we've all truth be told,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: been trolled, we've all been talked about, and especially on
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: social media, and that's a lot of times what happens
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: when you're in the public eye, unfortunately. But see if
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: I got to ask you, since out of all of us,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: i'm sure you've felt it the most, can you give
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: some advice on or some suggestions on how should people
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: deal with bullying and trolling, whether they're famous or not.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: Because it's out Tommy, it is go ahead. You know
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: it's hard because you know you want to do something.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: But the absolute best advice ever of you've gotten in
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: the best way I handle it is I have to.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: I have to. First of all, you know, a lot
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: of times you're mad, you're angry, you're upset, you don't
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: like yeah, yeah, I mean, you're only human. But the
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: best way to remember is people who blog are not
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: power brokers, decision makers or shakers and movers. People who
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: are power brokers, decision makers and shakers and movers don't
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: read blogs. I have never been in a single meeting
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: and had somebody bring up that was about money or
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: moving in your life, and they bought up a blog.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: So you have to you have to hurry up and
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: understand what that is. And you, as the famous person,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: cannot give it any gas. Somebody taught me, when you
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: are famous, when they blog about you, it's a blog.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: If you blog back, if they comment, it's a blog.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: If you comment back, it's a press comforts. Yeah, because
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: you're the famous person. Yeah, they got your attention for
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: no reason. A man once told me it is a
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: common thing for the dog to bark up at the moon,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: but if the moon bogs back at the dog, the
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: dog becomes famous earth As see, You've got to you've
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: got to understand, you know, you know, you know, I
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: mean you have to understand because it is difficult. It
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: is very, very difficult, and you get tired of it.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: And like Carla said, being a human, you naturally you
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: want to comment on it. Yeah, but you got to
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: be careful about it. And because some people who just
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: sitting around ain't got nothing else to do except think
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: they're getting under your skin. And once they realize they are,
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: then they then they did they nails in. So you know,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: I just I just try to keep it moving and
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: it's funky because a lot of nut nass people think
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: it's true. I had a dude came up with me
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: till out. So man, So how long you've been friends
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: with Trump? Hey? Dog? If you don't get your monkey
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: ass away from me, I'm not friends with damn Donald
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: Trump man. But Tommy experienced it too. Yeah, and they
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: don't even know. But if you listen to this radio show,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: you know exactly why I stand, which proves you don't
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: really know me or a fan of mine. That's right,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: that's right, all right, thank you, Steve. We'll have more
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at twenty
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're listening to.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: Doctor Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: and Infectious These, is not happy with the Trump campaign
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: and a new Trump campaign advertisement that includes his comments
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: without my permission. Fauci said in a statement, in my
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: nearly five decades of public service, I have never publicly endorsed,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: nor do I now endorse any political candidates. He added,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: the comments attributed to me without my permission in the
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: GOP campaign ad were taken out of context from a
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: broad statement I made months ago about the efforts of
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: federal public health officials. The ad, titled Carefully, which was
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: released on Saturday, promotes Trump's response to the COVID nineteen
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: pandemic and has Fauci saying he can't imagine that anybody
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: could be doing more. However, doctor Fauci was speaking about
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: the entire government's response, not Trump's specifically. It's like he's
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: doing anything. He's desperate at this point to when the life. Yeah,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: but I don't want us to get complacent because he's
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: behind in the polls, because he was behind to Hillary
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: Clinton too, Yeah, he wound up. No, So none of that.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: We're gonna we're gonna go play ugly. We're gonna stand
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: in the line, we're gonna vote early. We're gonna do
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: whatever it takes. We're gonna do our due diligence everything
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: so we'll have no complaints. Also too, I got a
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: text from Mississippi Monica. We just want to remind people
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: don't take pictures and selfies in that voting booth that
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: could invalidate your vote, which you get out of your car,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: take your whee. All right, we'll have more of a
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Steve Rvey morning show coming up at thirty three minutes
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: after the hour. Right after this, you're listening to YRN show.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: All right, come on, Junior here early with sports talk.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: What's going on? Well, surely be one thing going on
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: at the Los Angeles Lakers or the Cleveland Los Angeles Lakers.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: One I got LA it's yeah, you feel well. Lebron James, ohead, Yeah,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: Lebron James, Anthony Davis and the Lakers now have the
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: NBA World champ So you know this is Lebron James
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: fourth one, you know, and now you know they got
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: the debate. Now, man, you know what is it now?
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Does this change this for Lebron James? Does this put
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: Lebron James closer? Or is it still no contest? Who's
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: the better player? Michael Jordan, who had a better career
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: Michael Jordan, Lebron James. Because you know, as soon as
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: it started right up the championship one, it could even
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: enjoyed it came up right away. You know, man, I'm like,
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: I'm absolutely done with it. I am too. I don't care.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: I think, man, what has happened is is that and
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: what I've even done myself, and I've been guilty of it.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: So I've been forcing myself to compare two people that
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: I absolutely love and respect and that have been greatness,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: sheer greatness in each one of their eras exactly, I
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: think that Michael Jordan in his era of basketball supremely
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: hands down the greatest basketball phenomen to ever play the game.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: In this new era of basketball, the guy that is
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: the dude right now that has gone to three different
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: cities and won three different rings and has gone to
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: the finals almost every year of his Damn He's been
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: to the finals ten of his seventeen seasons and got
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: four rings. He's just the greatest thing on earth right now.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Lebron James is the greatest show on Earth right now,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: And in terms of longevity, no one has played the
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: game at the level he's played at for the length
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: of time that he's done. So I'm done with it.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: I think that Jordan is the greatest of all time
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: in his era and in this new era right here,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: it's Lebron James. Hands yeah, I think that's fair. I
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: think that's fair. We can have more than one goat now,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: can't it be room at the top of the You know,
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: for both of them, it's a lot of room at
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: the top, Junior gat Man, I'm being come on, he
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: ain't like magic, Like magic wasn't great, right, you know,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: like when Kareem wouldn't even like you know, Patrick Ewan
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: won a great ball player. Michael Jordan just denied, and
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: give a look at Tommy Michael Jordan denied. A lot
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: of legends of ringdom coming up. It's our last break
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: of the day, last break of the day, and don't
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: forget if you can vote early in your state, do it,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: do it, do it please. Twenty days left till November third.
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: Also at forty nine minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: some closing remarks from the one it only Steve Harvey
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening show, all right, Steve. Twenty
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: days left, twenty days left until the November third election.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: We're trying to get it done now though. Man, Yeah,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: let's go, oh, come on, let's go vote. I'm gonna
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: be so clean in both. But you know, if you
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: know you're gonna have to stand in line, if you're
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: if they're already talking about lines, take a chair, take
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: a snack, take some water, take things that will you
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: know that you can be comfortable because I heard this
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: one lady on the news saying she was in line
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: for five hours. I was like, Wow, that's dedication right there.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: That is some serious dedication, she said. But I got
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: it done. I got it done. We stand in line, Yeah,
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: we're standing. Yes, Yes, we voted, YEA for the voice,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: all of that. Yes, America's got talent. We're voting, we're
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: calling in, dancing with the stars, we're yeah, all of that.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: So we can do this. What I have to do
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: to cast my vote, I'm getting I'm getting it. I
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: don't care if I have to stand in the line,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. I haven't voted yet. I'm waiting to
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: make sure all my paperworkers right, and I'm going and
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: I'm going down there. You know one thing about you know,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: because you're famously it don't change the process, right, You
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: still have to go and vote. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: our duty and obligation. Yeah done. You know. Um, we
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: have a task at hand that I want all of
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: us to start looking forward to, because if you have
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: no other reason, I want to prove a point to him.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: I want to show him that that that how he's
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: viewing us, that how he doesn't respect us and how
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: he never mentions us, and how he's not listening to
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: us and showing any compassion or empathy and nothing towards us.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: He just doesn't care. He doesn't care about the shootings,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: the murders. He doesn't care. His main thing is that
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: all the police departments have endorsed him, you know, because
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: he's gonna hold on to the way things are and
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I'm not. And that's not saying that all policemen are
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: behind Donald Trump. That's not what he's saying. You've got
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: a cup, You've got some of the heads who say
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: we're with you, mister President. But we all understand why
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: that is. We have a chance to change all of this.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: All of this can be changed. We have an opportunity
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: to cast a vote to remove one of the worst
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: people that has ever occupied the White House for us
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: in my lifetime, this current modern day I'm talking about
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: in though as you want to call it, since you
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: want to do eras in the Lebron James era and
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: Michael Jordan's era, this is the worst president of them all.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: This is, hands down the guy who cares the least
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: about the people and does not care how the people
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: feel about it. I mean look, he stopped the stimulus
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: package meeting, said, we're not doing anything until after the
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: election is over. What you're saying if I don't win,
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: I don't care what happened to y'all. But then when
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: they explain to him what that meant, he came back
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: and said, I want a bigger stimulus package than the
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: Republicans or the Democrats won't. But those were just words. Okay,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: where that package happened. He just said that to erase
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: the ignorance that came out of his mouth when he
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: shut the meetings down and he found out that people
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: go on, Wow, he shut it down until he's reelected
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: or not, and then he changed it. It just talks, man,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: He just talks, and if you listen to what he's
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: talking about, man, it means no good for you, Absolutely
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: no good for you. You have got to stop this.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man. Rich people gonna be fine. I'm
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: listening to them talk. They are going to be fine.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: But there are some of them that really do care
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: about what happens to the folks that's not rich, because
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: their livelihood and the way they roll depends very much
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: so on people who are not rich. But then the
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: super rich could care less. But here's a deception that
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: they do. They wrap it up in this conservative party
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: and they keep talking about the far left and and
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: the radical left, and they keep giving this bad name
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: to being left. You don't everybody never say that something
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: wrong with the conservatives or the far right, but they
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: give it such a negative name to be on the left.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: But I got news for you. You need the left
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: just like you need the right. If a person wants
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: to be against abortion, I'm for that for you. But
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: if a woman wants to have the right to choice,
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: I'm one that for her. See, you need that balance,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: You need that right and that left for it to work.
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: You know, you can't have it all as right people,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: as as right people, right wing people. You can't do
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: that because there are people that ain't made for that.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: And we can't have it all left because it ain't.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: It's some people that ain't made that way. We have
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: to find compromise to make this thing work. And Donald
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: Trump ain't fin to compromise nothing. It's for Donald Trump
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: all day, all the way. And if you don't like it,
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: you can go somewhere, and we're gonna help him go somewhere.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: On November third, We're gonna help him go home, go
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: to Malago, and go play golf. I'd love to see
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: him on the golf course, not as president of the
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: United States. That would be fascinating to me. Let's get
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: to the polls and get rid of this man that
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: has been in here, who cares nothing about George Floyd
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: Aubrey and nobody else. Brianna Taylor. He opened his mouth
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: say her name. He don't even know her name. For
