Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Kamala Harris Enters Witness Protection
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:02Speaker 2: It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with
- 0:05Speaker 2: you and Senator we are finally getting some intel from
- 0:09Speaker 2: the Harris campaign on exactly how they're going to run
- 0:12Speaker 2: this presidential campaign through election day, and it seems like
- 0:16Speaker 2: they're taking a play out of the playbook of Joe
- 0:18Speaker 2: Biden's election just four years ago.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Well, that's right. We're eighty eight days out from election
- 0:26Speaker 3: day and it is now clear how Kamala Harris and
- 0:29Speaker 3: the Democrats intend to run this campaign. Kamala Harris is
- 0:32Speaker 3: effectively entered with witness protection. They're doing everything they can
- 0:37Speaker 3: to shut her up, to keep her silent. Since she
- 0:40Speaker 3: became the presumptive Democratic nominee, she's done a total of
- 0:45Speaker 3: zero media interviews. She's done a total of zero press conferences.
- 0:49Speaker 3: She doesn't answer questions, she doesn't add lib. And look,
- 0:52Speaker 3: there's a reason why she doesn't add lib. We've all
- 0:55Speaker 3: seen a million different clips of her saying bizarre thing,
- 1:00Speaker 3: saying things that are unintelligible, laughing bizarrely. The Democrats don't
- 1:05Speaker 3: want any of that. So here's what the next eighty
- 1:08Speaker 3: eight days are going to entail. The next eighty eight
- 1:10Speaker 3: days are going to entail Kamala reading from a teleprompter.
- 1:16Speaker 3: She's going to read from a teleprompter, work for work,
- 1:19Speaker 3: speech after speech, rally for rally. She's going to read
- 1:22Speaker 3: what they type out for her to say. Beyond that,
- 1:25Speaker 3: she's not going to talk to any reporters. She's going
- 1:28Speaker 3: to stay in the basement. For all I know, it
- 1:30Speaker 3: may be the basement next to Joe Biden, who's tied
- 1:33Speaker 3: up in the basement. And their plan, their plan that
- 1:38Speaker 3: they believe they'll win on, is for the corporate media
- 1:41Speaker 3: to spend billions of dollars doing a massive pr campaign.
- 1:46Speaker 3: It is cynical. It is a cynical basement strategy, and
- 1:49Speaker 3: it is a basement strategy that has a potential to work.
- 1:52Speaker 3: And so we need to understand just how formidable it is.
- 1:55Speaker 3: We're going to break it down. We're going to talk
- 1:56Speaker 3: about what it means for this campaign.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really interesting to see this strategy, especially since
- 2:02Speaker 2: she's able bodied and supposed to be the young, vibrant candidate.
- 2:06Speaker 2: How they're going to sell this the American people of
- 2:08Speaker 2: her in hiding and it's for different reasons than they
- 2:10Speaker 2: hit Joe Biden. Let me also tell you real quick
- 2:12Speaker 2: about my friends over at ammo squared. And if you're
- 2:15Speaker 2: like me and you love to be able to shoot
- 2:17Speaker 2: and hunt and practice shooting, and you don't want to
- 2:19Speaker 2: run out of AMMO, and you experience what everybody did
- 2:23Speaker 2: during COVID. You couldn't find AMMO and when you did
- 2:25Speaker 2: find it, it was outrageously priced. Well, now you don't
- 2:28Speaker 2: have to worry about that ever again when there's the
- 2:31Speaker 2: next crisis because Ammo Squared helps you stock up on
- 2:34Speaker 2: ammunition automatically. It's truly automated, set it and forget it
- 2:38Speaker 2: AMO purchasing program. You pick your calibers, you set your budget,
- 2:42Speaker 2: you select a shipping trigger, and bam, that's it. Your
- 2:45Speaker 2: AMMO grows over time and is stored for free as
- 2:50Speaker 2: it builds up, and it's shipped with a click of
- 2:53Speaker 2: a button or automatically however you want to do it.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Now.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Look, it's basically ammunition subscription on steroids because you aren't
- 3:00Speaker 2: forced into a set budget or a shipment every month. Instead,
- 3:03Speaker 2: you decide your budget, you schedule when you want your
- 3:05Speaker 2: AMO to arrive. AMO Squared offers more than sixty different
- 3:09Speaker 2: caliber options, and if you ever change calibers while you're
- 3:12Speaker 2: storing up that MO, you can trade it in and
- 3:15Speaker 2: get another caliber.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Now here's the other cool thing.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Let's say AMO prices go through the root and you
- 3:20Speaker 2: want to capitalize off of your investment. You can sell
- 3:23Speaker 2: your ammoback for big profits. Everything's managed online, and I
- 3:27Speaker 2: want to give you some free AMO right now. Go
- 3:30Speaker 2: to amosquare dot com slash ben and you are gonna

- 3:41Speaker 2: memberships needed, and no extra fees. Customers can buy AMMO

- 3:48Speaker 2: just like a savings account. It's amazing amosquare dot com
- 3:52Speaker 2: slash bend today to get free AMO in your account. Senator,
- 3:55Speaker 2: there was two interesting headlines that really I think encompass
- 3:59Speaker 2: what's happening with Harris campaign and hiding her. One of
- 4:03Speaker 2: them was Harris quote refuses to comment on Trump's debate challenge.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Then she refused to comment about doing an interview. Then
- 4:14Speaker 2: the campaign quote declined request for comment about why Harris
- 4:18Speaker 2: declines requests for comment on the issues of the campaign.
- 4:23Speaker 2: That is a headline you cannot make up well.
- 4:26Speaker 3: And this is going to be their strategy for the
- 4:28Speaker 3: next eighty eight days. And listen, if if you're a Democratic,
- 4:33Speaker 3: stand why this is attractive. To be honest, this was
- 4:36Speaker 3: their strategy in the last election. Joe Biden four years
- 4:39Speaker 3: ago already had severe mental diminution. He was not mentally
- 4:44Speaker 3: up to the campaign. And what did they do. They
- 4:47Speaker 3: literally locked him in the basement. I don't know if
- 4:49Speaker 3: the White House has a basement, but if they have,
- 4:51Speaker 3: it wouldn't surprise me if they had him chained to
- 4:53Speaker 3: a wall. I mean, he was not allowed out, he
- 4:55Speaker 3: was not allowed in camera site, he was not allowed
- 4:57Speaker 3: to speak to a microphone. And I think they put
- 5:00Speaker 3: Kamala in the same cell. And it's you know, from
- 5:04Speaker 3: the Democrats perspective, if your candidate is really good, if
- 5:08Speaker 3: your candidate is impressive, if your candidate is charming, if
- 5:11Speaker 3: your candidate has powerful and profound things to say, then
- 5:15Speaker 3: you want to get your candidate out there. You want
- 5:17Speaker 3: to inspire people, You want to show this is our
- 5:21Speaker 3: candidate's vision for America. So there's a problem for Kamala Harrison.
- 5:26Speaker 3: For Democrats, their vision for America, it's terrible. It is radical.
- 5:31Speaker 3: It is extreme. Kamala's vision for America is open borders
- 5:35Speaker 3: for four more years. Kamala's vision for America's trillions more
- 5:38Speaker 3: in spending, trillions more in debt and as a result,
- 5:42Speaker 3: inflation skyrocketing. Kamala's vision for America is releasing violent criminals
- 5:48Speaker 3: from jail. Kamala's vision for America is undermining our friends
- 5:52Speaker 3: and allies, especially the state of Israel. Kamala's vision for
- 5:56Speaker 3: America is continuing to show weakness and appeasement to our enemies,
- 6:00Speaker 3: to Hamas, to Hesbla, to Iran, to Venezuela, to North Korea,
- 6:04Speaker 3: to China, to RuSHA to all of them. And if
- 6:08Speaker 3: you're thinking about it, that's not a very attractive campaign
- 6:10Speaker 3: to actually try to win in November. So they don't
- 6:12Speaker 3: want to do any of that. What they want to
- 6:14Speaker 3: do instead scripts that are sort of vaguely affirming. Remember, look,
- 6:19Speaker 3: Obama ran on a campaign of hope and change. They're
- 6:22Speaker 3: trying to have Commala run on a similar campaign open change,
- 6:25Speaker 3: hope and change, don't ask what the hope is, don't
- 6:27Speaker 3: ask what the change is. In her speech that's written
- 6:31Speaker 3: for it, starting to say, she's starting to say I'm
- 6:33Speaker 3: going to take on the big corporations and drive down inflation.
- 6:36Speaker 3: I never mind that she is part of the incumbent administration.
- 6:42Speaker 3: She and Joe Biden are the sitting Vice president and
- 6:45Speaker 3: president of the United States. So if there's some magic
- 6:48Speaker 3: wand that the president has, presumably she and Joe would
- 6:51Speaker 3: be waving it. It's empty rhetoric. But I got to
- 6:56Speaker 3: tell you Bennett is dangerous because I think from the
- 7:01Speaker 3: press's perspective, there's a very real possibility. Not only are
- 7:05Speaker 3: they going to let her get away with it, they're
- 7:07Speaker 3: going to be actively complicit because basically what they're doing
- 7:10Speaker 3: it is there punting to the press and saying, you
- 7:13Speaker 3: guys got this, we got eighty eight days. Tell the
- 7:18Speaker 3: message every day, and to be honest, at least a
- 7:22Speaker 3: couple of weeks into it, it's working. From from Kamala's perspective,
- 7:26Speaker 3: things are going much much better than they were just
- 7:30Speaker 3: a couple of weeks ago. And and and Ben, let's
- 7:33Speaker 3: also pause and think what a four weeks we've had
- 7:36Speaker 3: in politics. In four weeks in politics, we've seen President
- 7:41Speaker 3: Trump shot at and nearly assassinated. We've seen Joe Biden,
- 7:46Speaker 3: the sitting president unceremoniously removed from the presidential ballot. We've
- 7:52Speaker 3: seen Donald Trump pick his vice presidential nominee. We've seen
- 7:56Speaker 3: Kamala Harris pick her vice presidential nominee. That's all happened
- 7:59Speaker 3: in four and I got to say, the entire race
- 8:02Speaker 3: has been turned topsy turvy. And now they want to
- 8:06Speaker 3: keep Kamala muzzled and hidden at all times.
- 8:09Speaker 2: You know, you look at the headline and this one
- 8:11Speaker 2: is one of those that just it's a it's a
- 8:13Speaker 2: head scratcher quote. Kama Harris vows to schedule an interview
- 8:17Speaker 2: before the end of the month. Traditionally, Senator, when you're
- 8:21Speaker 2: running for office, especially when you're running for the presidency,
- 8:25Speaker 2: you want to do interviews.
- 8:26Speaker 1: You want to be seen. You want people to be listening.
- 8:30Speaker 2: To your messaging, your agenda, your plan right, your goals
- 8:36Speaker 2: and aspirations for the country.
- 8:38Speaker 1: That's part of campaigning.
- 8:41Speaker 2: But when you walk into this thing and you'r Harris
- 8:43Speaker 2: and you are a radical, you're a socialists, communist, Marxist,
- 8:46Speaker 2: and maybe your agenda isn't that palable to the American people?
- 8:50Speaker 1: Is that part of the strategy?
- 8:51Speaker 2: Now?
- 8:51Speaker 1: Why they're like, okay, look, we can.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Hide her and we don't do the interviews, right, Maybe
- 8:56Speaker 2: we do one here or there. We'll pick somebody that'll
- 8:58Speaker 2: be easy, hon us, and we'll just let the media
- 9:01Speaker 2: write the story. Donald Trump bad, Kamwa Harrison not as bad,
- 9:04Speaker 2: and that might get us to election day.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Well. And it's difficult to overstate how strange that is.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Like in a campaign, doing media interviews is number one,
- 9:14Speaker 3: I think a responsibility you owe. But number two, it's
- 9:17Speaker 3: a vehicle typically for getting your message out. So as
- 9:20Speaker 3: you and I are sitting here right now recording this,
- 9:23Speaker 3: it is twelve twenty two in the morning, and I
- 9:26Speaker 3: am on the highway driving back from Austin to Houston.
- 9:30Speaker 3: I'm in the middle of a campaign, so I'm campaigning.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Just today on Thursday, I've done multiple media interviews. That's
- 9:36Speaker 3: what one does when one's running for re election per senate,
- 9:39Speaker 3: much less if you're running to be president of the
- 9:41Speaker 3: United States. And it is striking that we are weeks
- 9:45Speaker 3: into her campaign and she's done none. Now look, I
- 9:48Speaker 3: fully expect she's going to get a couple of servile
- 9:51Speaker 3: journalists to come up and give her some softball interview
- 9:54Speaker 3: and tell her Madam Vice President tell us now, and
- 9:56Speaker 3: this is the really important question. The American people want
- 9:59Speaker 3: to know, are you more beautiful or are you more brilliant?
- 10:02Speaker 3: How do you answer that that? I'm sure they'll do that.
- 10:05Speaker 3: They'll tee up some fawning sick of fans if we
- 10:09Speaker 3: had a functioning press co. All right, let's take for
- 10:11Speaker 3: example this week. This week we had a really consequential
- 10:17Speaker 3: set of primaries in Missouri, and in particular, Corey Bush,
- 10:20Speaker 3: one of the members of the Squad, Corey Bush, was
- 10:23Speaker 3: beaten in a Democrat primary. Now, Corey Bush's views are noxious,
- 10:27Speaker 3: they're radical to their extreme. Corey Bush, like Kamala Harris,
- 10:30Speaker 3: has been a leading voice for abolishing the police and
- 10:33Speaker 3: defunding the police. Corey Bush, like Kamala Harris, has been
- 10:37Speaker 3: viciously anti Israel, has courted the pro Hamas wing of
- 10:42Speaker 3: the Democrat Party. In fact, she is the pro Hamas
- 10:45Speaker 3: wing of the Democrat Party. Corey Bush was beaten, and
- 10:49Speaker 3: was beaten significantly in a Democrat primary, and you know,
- 10:51Speaker 3: hadn't said a word about it, Kamala Harris, not a word,
- 10:54Speaker 3: nothing to say about it, nothing to see here. Now,
- 10:57Speaker 3: if you actually had reporters that said, you know, I
- 11:01Speaker 3: got a job. I'm actually a reporter. I'm supposed to ask,
- 11:04Speaker 3: not the questions that the campaign wants me to asked.
- 11:06Speaker 3: I'm supposed to ask the difficult questions. Someone would have
- 11:09Speaker 3: asked Kamala Harris before the primary on Tuesday, Hey Kamala,
- 11:14Speaker 3: what do you think of Corey Bush? Should she win
- 11:16Speaker 3: her primary or not? Nobody asked that. She didn't answer that.
- 11:20Speaker 3: After Corey Bush is beaten, Hey, Kamala, what do you
- 11:22Speaker 3: think about one of the squad members being beaten? What
- 11:25Speaker 3: do you think about the fact that she's the second
- 11:27Speaker 3: squad member beaten this year? Jamal Bowman in New York
- 11:30Speaker 3: was beaten earlier this year, again in a Democrat primary.
- 11:33Speaker 3: What do you think about that? By the way, Corey Bush,
- 11:36Speaker 3: when she lost, gave this vicious anti Israel, anti Semitic
- 11:41Speaker 3: speech where she blamed Apak Now that if you're a
- 11:44Speaker 3: hardcore leftist, is the best villain imaginable?
- 11:47Speaker 4: A pack?
- 11:48Speaker 3: Oh, You're you're envisioning like like Mephistopheles twirling his mustache
- 11:54Speaker 3: as you say a pack. That's who she blamed. Does
- 11:57Speaker 3: anyone ask Kamala Harris, Hey, Kamala, who are you with?
- 12:01Speaker 4: Are you with?
- 12:01Speaker 3: Corey Busher or do you agree with APEX that's true.
- 12:05Speaker 3: APEC raised a bunch of money against Corey Bush. Why
- 12:08Speaker 3: because Corey Bush has been viciously anti Israel and APEK
- 12:12Speaker 3: is a group that raises money to strengthen the US
- 12:14Speaker 3: Israel relationship. But Kamala is trying to walk a tight
- 12:19Speaker 3: rope where she wants the support of the Squad. She
- 12:23Speaker 3: wants the support of the Squad supporters, She wants the
- 12:26Speaker 3: support of the Rabbit anti Semites in Dearborn, Michigan. She
- 12:29Speaker 3: wants the support of the Rabbit anti Semites in Minnesota
- 12:33Speaker 3: in the Democrat Party, but she also doesn't want to
- 12:37Speaker 3: alienate the other votes she needs. And right now the
- 12:40Speaker 3: media is perfectly okay with nothing to see here. Let's
- 12:43Speaker 3: get back to saying what a great, wonderful historic candidate
- 12:47Speaker 3: you are. And oh, oh oh, did you see the
- 12:50Speaker 3: crowds at her rallies? Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Hosanna, Hosanna, hosanna.
- 12:56Speaker 2: So let's go to Tim then, how important is he
- 12:59Speaker 2: as a vp it if they're going to hide her
- 13:01Speaker 2: because he hasn't exactly had the best rollout either.
- 13:05Speaker 1: He is a radical, far left guy.
- 13:08Speaker 2: They've tried to turn him into some sort of you know,
- 13:10Speaker 2: moderate individual that's been backfiring in an incredible way. He's
- 13:15Speaker 2: someone that has repeatedly called, for example, for universal health care.
- 13:19Speaker 2: That's really come to be an issue over the last
- 13:21Speaker 2: twenty four hours. He also says he wants to raise
- 13:24Speaker 2: taxes on Americans in a big way, saying that the
- 13:27Speaker 2: rich need to pay their fair share. And then just
- 13:30Speaker 2: some of his radical beliefs now that he's having to
- 13:32Speaker 2: answer questions about abortion on demand, you know, voter ID
- 13:36Speaker 2: that he didn't want to have, and allowing illegal immigrants
- 13:39Speaker 2: to be involved in politics at a local level.
- 13:42Speaker 1: He'd even mentioned before.
- 13:43Speaker 2: These are things that are coming back to I think
- 13:46Speaker 2: haunt the campaign in a sense.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Do they hide him as well?
- 13:51Speaker 5: Well?
- 13:51Speaker 3: Listen, Historically, vice presidential picks have not made a huge difference.
- 13:56Speaker 3: That's something Trump has said a number of times, and
- 13:59Speaker 3: he's right in that. Historically, presidential elections are about the
- 14:03Speaker 3: presidential nominees and the VP typically has a very marginal
- 14:08Speaker 3: impact on the edges. A VP can make a difference
- 14:10Speaker 3: in the given state sometimes, But I will say right now,
- 14:15Speaker 3: I think the folks on the writer are very focused
- 14:18Speaker 3: on Tim Waltz. That's fine, but the biggest value of
- 14:23Speaker 3: Tim Waltz is to illustrate how radical Kamala is, because
- 14:28Speaker 3: Kamala is the nominee, and understand, Kamala is a wild
- 14:32Speaker 3: eyed leftist. As the nonpartisan gov Track website identified, she
- 14:39Speaker 3: was in twenty nineteen the single most liberal United States
- 14:43Speaker 3: senator out of one hundred. She was number one hundred,
- 14:46Speaker 3: the most extreme to the left, to the left of
- 14:48Speaker 3: Bernie Sanders, to the left of Elizabeth Warren. So it
- 14:52Speaker 3: is not surprising that she picks as her VP not
- 14:57Speaker 3: Josh Shapiro, a for ce moderate Democrat who could potentially
- 15:01Speaker 3: deliver a swing state, but who would piss off the
- 15:04Speaker 3: Prohomas core of the Democrat Party because he's Jewish and
- 15:07Speaker 3: by the way, it really speaks volumes. Just how bad
- 15:12Speaker 3: an actually here heert. I want on this point, I
- 15:15Speaker 3: want to play a segment from CNN because I want
- 15:21Speaker 3: you to listen to CNN the commentators talking about how
- 15:26Speaker 3: that they're kind of glad that Kamala didn't pick Josh Shapiro.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Why because it would tick off the radicals and the
- 15:35Speaker 3: Prohomace base of the Democrat Party. And they said, well,
- 15:37Speaker 3: that'd be bad. We don't want to tick them off.
- 15:39Speaker 3: And Jake Tapper, I got to say, and and I
- 15:42Speaker 3: wish this was one of our video episodes. It's just audio.
- 15:46Speaker 3: I wish you could see it, but you ought to
- 15:48Speaker 3: just listen because he is so uncomfortable because the CNN
- 15:52Speaker 3: commentators are basically saying, well, she obviously couldn't pick a
- 15:56Speaker 3: jew because the leftists and the Democrat Party would get
- 16:01Speaker 3: really mad if heer nominee was Jewish. And you can
- 16:06Speaker 3: see Jake Papper going, no, no, stop stop saying this.
- 16:10Speaker 3: But give a listen to this exchange because it really
- 16:13Speaker 3: shows number one, how poisoned and extreme the Democrat Party
- 16:19Speaker 3: has been, as reflected by their mouthpieces on CNN. But
- 16:23Speaker 3: number two, it shows that Tim Waltz pick I think
- 16:27Speaker 3: is very revealing of who Kamala Harris is. Give a listen.
- 16:30Speaker 4: And I think ultimately Shapiro, I think fit is important.
- 16:36Speaker 4: But you know, I also think that when you look
- 16:39Speaker 4: at the principle of do no harm, maybe they did
- 16:42Speaker 4: say in a state like Minnesota, do we want to
- 16:46Speaker 4: those one hundred thousand uncommitted voters who came out about
- 16:50Speaker 4: the Gaza war? Do we want to antagonize those voters.
- 16:55Speaker 4: Those are all parts of part of the questions as well.
- 16:58Speaker 5: But I just say Tim Walls also spoke conciliatorily towards
- 17:04Speaker 5: those people. He said, look, that uncommitted vote is significant
- 17:08Speaker 5: and those people should be heard. So having that kind
- 17:11Speaker 5: of response, I think is probably more of an open
- 17:14Speaker 5: door to the parts of the party that had been
- 17:16Speaker 5: very frustrated with the Democrats.
- 17:19Speaker 6: So but just to just to one point on the
- 17:21Speaker 6: on the on the God's War, Shapiro has the same
- 17:24Speaker 6: position on Israel that Governor Walls that the Senator Kelly has.
- 17:29Speaker 6: He's actually been more critical of Netta Yahu than the
- 17:34Speaker 6: other two.
- 17:34Speaker 1: But he is Jewish and also.
- 17:38Speaker 5: The face of the crackdown on the protests, right, he
- 17:41Speaker 5: spoke very vehemently about those campus protests as being anti Semitic.
- 17:45Speaker 6: Not all of them, the ones that were anti semitic
- 17:48Speaker 6: he criticized as being anti Semitic.
- 17:49Speaker 5: He was out front on the issue. So I'm wondering
- 17:52Speaker 5: if that's the kind of thing that again for the
- 17:55Speaker 5: activist wing of the party.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Absolutely, it was a slap in the face.
- 18:00Speaker 2: You hear that, and I have to think that this
- 18:03Speaker 2: is going to start hurting Harris and Waltz's campaign if
- 18:08Speaker 2: you just alienated Jewish voters like this, but not just that,
- 18:14Speaker 2: those that also stand with Israel. And I do have
- 18:17Speaker 2: friends that are liberal that stand with Israel and are
- 18:21Speaker 2: proud to stand with Israel. This is not going to
- 18:23Speaker 2: sit well with them either.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Well, and look, look CNN is reporting there, and again,
- 18:28Speaker 3: I wish you could see Jake Tapper. You and I
- 18:30Speaker 3: both know Jake Tapper, but if you watch the video
- 18:32Speaker 3: of this, Tapper is so painfully uncomfortable with what the
- 18:38Speaker 3: CNN commentator is saying. Because the CNN commentators like, well,
- 18:43Speaker 3: you know, there are a bunch of voters in Minnesota
- 18:45Speaker 3: that that voted uncommitted. Why because they were mad at
- 18:49Speaker 3: Joe Biden that he wasn't anti Israel enough. Yes, he'd
- 18:52Speaker 3: undermined Israel from day one, but but he was willing
- 18:55Speaker 3: to provide some weapons to Israel and they were mad,
- 18:57Speaker 3: and so so you know, maybe this was a wise
- 19:00Speaker 3: decision to go with Waltson not Shapiro. And it's interesting
- 19:03Speaker 3: Tapper goes, well, wait a second, on the policy positions.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Shapiro's stated policy is the same as Waltz's is the
- 19:11Speaker 3: same as Mark Kelly's is the difference that he's Jewish
- 19:16Speaker 3: And the commentator doesn't answer, but the answer is basically,
- 19:19Speaker 3: well yeah, no, no, no, no, they're Matt. They don't want yeah,
- 19:23Speaker 3: and he won Jewish on the ticket, Like, it's not
- 19:25Speaker 3: the policy, it's the fact that he's Jewish. And then
- 19:29Speaker 3: so she actually goes back said She's like, no, no, no,
- 19:31Speaker 3: She tries to dodge, and she says, no, no, no, it's
- 19:34Speaker 3: that he denounced the anti Semitic protests on campus. And
- 19:40Speaker 3: Tapper's like, well, yeah, the ones that were anti Semitic.
- 19:46Speaker 3: And the commentary is like, woll well, well you just
- 19:48Speaker 3: you don't want to make the people mad who like
- 19:52Speaker 3: anti Semitic protests. But like that was her argument is
- 19:57Speaker 3: because he is Jewish. She didn't admit that, but that
- 20:00Speaker 3: was obviously what she meant. And b because he dared
- 20:05Speaker 3: say viciously anti Semitic protesters are wrong, that the risk
- 20:11Speaker 3: was too high for him to be on the ticket.
- 20:13Speaker 3: And so where instead did Kamala go? And she went
- 20:17Speaker 3: to Tim Waltson and listen again, I think we should
- 20:21Speaker 3: not obsess about Tim Waltz. He's not gonna matter a
- 20:24Speaker 3: whole lot at the end of the day. Now, the media,
- 20:27Speaker 3: as much as they're trying to turn Kamala into Saint Kamala,
- 20:31Speaker 3: they're trying to turn Tim Walton Nanny Griffin. He is
- 20:34Speaker 3: a Midwestern coach, He's a dad. He's gosh, golly ge woooo.
- 20:40Speaker 3: I mean, he's just a nice old fella. He like
- 20:44Speaker 3: pets himself some dogs, and he's just gosh, Grandpa Joe
- 20:50Speaker 3: and this guy. Okay, I'm going to give some unsolicited
- 20:56Speaker 3: advice to the Trump campaign. Focus on the substance of
- 21:02Speaker 3: Kamala Harris's record and Tim Waltz's record. Both of them
- 21:06Speaker 3: are radical and extreme. Don't get don't get distracted. Don't
- 21:12Speaker 3: go down to digression. The media wants you to go
- 21:14Speaker 3: down to digression. These two are the most radical two
- 21:20Speaker 3: people ever nominated by a major party to be president
- 21:24Speaker 3: and vice president. Their records are identical. The reason Kamala
- 21:27Speaker 3: Harris picked Tim Waltz is she wanted a fellow radical.
- 21:32Speaker 3: And actually, one illustration that I that I think really
- 21:35Speaker 3: speaks volumes. You know you look at you and I've
- 21:39Speaker 3: talked about this before. Bernie Sanders, my colleague in the Senate,
- 21:43Speaker 3: when he got married, he made the decision to honeymoon
- 21:48Speaker 3: in the Soviet Union. Now that's bizarre, like like I
- 21:53Speaker 3: don't know who says, Okay, I'm on my honeymoon. Where
- 21:55Speaker 3: do I want to go? The Soviet Union? Comrade, that's
- 21:58Speaker 3: where I want to be. Look, Heidi and I we
- 22:00Speaker 3: went to Saint Thomas. We went to the beach. It
- 22:01Speaker 3: was really pretty. We had some bararitas Doc Daker's. We
- 22:04Speaker 3: walked barefoot in the sand, like like, that's what you do.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Where did you guys go in your honeymoon?
- 22:09Speaker 5: Ben?
- 22:09Speaker 3: And if you say to sob Union? We went down.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Yeah, we went down to Mexico exactly. It was like, hey,
- 22:16Speaker 2: where's a direct flight out of Houston.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Uh.
- 22:19Speaker 2: It was like stopa San Wattineo for a week, and
- 22:21Speaker 2: then I surprised her with a second week. She thought
- 22:24Speaker 2: we were flying home, and I called her boss at
- 22:26Speaker 2: Saint Jude and I said, look, can I'm only going
- 22:28Speaker 2: to get two weeks off my whole life one time?
- 22:30Speaker 2: Can I please surprise her? And we went the second
- 22:33Speaker 2: week to Cabo.
- 22:35Speaker 3: You are a romantic son of a gun. I've ever
- 22:37Speaker 3: been to Zewaddejo. All I know is it's where Tim
- 22:39Speaker 3: Robbins was going to go in Shawshank Redemption, And it
- 22:42Speaker 3: sure looked pretty in the in the film, but I
- 22:44Speaker 3: haven't been there. What was it gorgeous?
- 22:46Speaker 2: You put it on your list, it's in It is
- 22:49Speaker 2: one of the most gorgeous places I've ever been in
- 22:51Speaker 2: my entire life.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Okay, so let me ask you, do you regret instead
- 22:56Speaker 3: of going to zewat Dejo and walking into the sand,
- 22:59Speaker 3: that you didn't go to the Soviet Union and pay
- 23:02Speaker 3: homage to Marks and Lennon and the heroes of the revolution.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Like that's the yeah, you know, And yeah, it was
- 23:10Speaker 2: a It was a toss up, right, It was a
- 23:12Speaker 2: big toss up which one would which one would be
- 23:14Speaker 2: better of a surprise, go to go to Russian and
- 23:17Speaker 2: maybe never come back, or go to Mexico and hang
- 23:21Speaker 2: out on the beach.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:22Speaker 3: So the reason it's relevant to talk about where Bernie
- 23:25Speaker 3: went on this honeymoon is it shows what his values are,
- 23:28Speaker 3: what he what he admires, what he cares about, who
- 23:31Speaker 3: he wants to be. Well, Tim Waltz on his honeymoon
- 23:36Speaker 3: went to communist China. Now that's a little weird, but
- 23:39Speaker 3: there's a second piece. And we talked about the fact
- 23:41Speaker 3: that he went to communist China on Wednesday, spot. But
- 23:44Speaker 3: the second piece that broke on Thursday that I didn't
- 23:46Speaker 3: know for Wednesday, Spot. Do you know what day Tim
- 23:49Speaker 3: Waltz chose to get married on?
- 23:53Speaker 2: See when this when this broke, I was immediate like
- 23:56Speaker 2: this is going to be some internet like rumor, it's
- 23:58Speaker 2: going to get fact check. It's not going to be real.
- 24:01Speaker 2: I was like, there's no way, and then sure enough
- 24:04Speaker 2: it is real and you can tell the audience exactly
- 24:07Speaker 2: what you're talking about.
- 24:09Speaker 3: He chose to get married on the anniversary of the
- 24:13Speaker 3: Tianmen Square massacre, the Tianamen Square, where you had hundreds
- 24:18Speaker 3: of thousands, if not millions, of Chinese standing up for freedom,
- 24:21Speaker 3: standing up against oppression, standing up against the oppressive communist bastards,
- 24:27Speaker 3: and the Chinese tyrannical governments sent in tanks mowed them down,
- 24:32Speaker 3: and it is it was an incredible moment of heroism
- 24:37Speaker 3: on the part of the students and the young people
- 24:39Speaker 3: standing up against tyranny. And it was an incredible moment
- 24:42Speaker 3: of brutality on the part of the regime stomping them down.
- 24:47Speaker 3: And I gotta say the only word I know to
- 24:50Speaker 3: describe somebody who chooses to get married on the anniversary
- 24:55Speaker 3: of Tannemen Square and then Honeymoons and Communist China. The
- 24:58Speaker 3: only word I know to describe is weird, which is
- 25:01Speaker 3: really funny because, well, like the only thing anyone knows
- 25:04Speaker 3: about him is he started running around saying Donald Trump
- 25:08Speaker 3: and JD. Vans are weird, and it's like, dude, that
- 25:13Speaker 3: is weird.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Yeah, on a whole nother level, let me tell you
- 25:18Speaker 2: about my friends over at Bond Arms. And look, I'm
- 25:21Speaker 2: a staunch advocate for god given Secondmendment rights. If it
- 25:24Speaker 2: wasn't for me having a firearm and carrying it, I
- 25:27Speaker 2: would not be here right now.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I had to use it to protect and defend my life.
- 25:30Speaker 2: And you look at what's been going on lately, and
- 25:33Speaker 2: you just look at how tough our president is, Donald
- 25:37Speaker 2: Trump number forty five. It's amazing how fast he bounced
- 25:41Speaker 2: back from that attack on him just weeks ago, that
- 25:44Speaker 2: attempted assassination, and immediately he got back to work for
- 25:48Speaker 2: the American people. Well, the patriot at Bond Arms decided
- 25:52Speaker 2: it was time to honor Trump with a really, really,
- 25:57Speaker 2: really cool collector's item. You can go see this right now.
- 26:02Speaker 2: At the website get bondarms dot com. What they have
- 26:06Speaker 2: done is they have put together an extremely powerful, tough
- 26:09Speaker 2: handgun called the forty five XLV to honor the forty
- 26:14Speaker 2: fifth President, called this firearm the living Legend. This is
- 26:19Speaker 2: a collector's gun and you can go right now to
- 26:22Speaker 2: get bondarms dot com and you can see the new
- 26:26Speaker 2: forty five XLV model to honor this amazing living legend,
- 26:31Speaker 2: which is Donald Trump. There is a very limited number
- 26:34Speaker 2: that will be made of this special handgun and it
- 26:37Speaker 2: will only be available for a limited time at the
- 26:40Speaker 2: price a low price to honor him, a five hundred
- 26:43Speaker 2: and forty five dollars and forty seven cents. Let me
- 26:46Speaker 2: say it again, five hundred forty five dollars and forty
- 26:52Speaker 2: seven cents. It will become a collector's item and something
- 26:55Speaker 2: you'll be proud to own, shoot and show your friends.
- 26:58Speaker 1: So check it out.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Go to get yet bondarms dot com today. That's get
- 27:04Speaker 2: bondarms dot com today to find out more. Senator, let
- 27:08Speaker 2: me also ask you another question, and that's gonna be
- 27:11Speaker 2: the debate. We there was a debate that was offered up.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Kamala Harris said, no, that was gonna be on Fox.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Now apparently they've agreed to another debate on one of
- 27:21Speaker 2: the major networks. And if she's not doing interviews and
- 27:24Speaker 2: you have to put out press statements, you know that
- 27:26Speaker 2: Vice President Harris pledges a scheduled interview before the end
- 27:30Speaker 2: of the month after speaking with her team on Thursday.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Quote it's unclear if the interview will take place in
- 27:35Speaker 2: the last three weeks of August or whether the interview
- 27:37Speaker 2: scheduled interview scheduling will take place before August ends, quote unquote,
- 27:42Speaker 2: But Harris, as you mentioned at the beginning of the show,
- 27:44Speaker 2: has not given one unscripted press conference since she joined
- 27:49Speaker 2: the president to race eighteen days ago. To use the
- 27:51Speaker 2: you know Waltz's favorite word, that's weird, and may continue
- 27:56Speaker 2: to avoid the press until Labor Day twenty five days
- 27:59Speaker 2: from now twenty four Now a long time. Here's Ally
- 28:02Speaker 2: told Politico for their publication basically, I think limiting expectations.
- 28:08Speaker 2: And now you look at this, you go, Okay, she's
- 28:11Speaker 2: going into hiding. How important is the next president of debate?
- 28:14Speaker 3: Then well look, Trump came out and challenged her to
- 28:18Speaker 3: three presidential debates, and that's a very normal thing to do.
- 28:21Speaker 3: If you look in history at modern times, there have
- 28:24Speaker 3: typically been three presidential debates and usually one vice presidential debate.
- 28:30Speaker 3: That's been the history for a long time. And so
- 28:32Speaker 3: what Trump challenged her to, he challenged her to it
- 28:35Speaker 3: on three different networks. That was a very reasonable challenge.
- 28:37Speaker 3: I don't think she'll accept. My prediction is we will
- 28:41Speaker 3: see one presidential debate between Trump and Kamala. I think
- 28:44Speaker 3: her team would love that to be zero, but I
- 28:47Speaker 3: think they will probably make the judgment that zero would
- 28:51Speaker 3: project so much weakness that it would be a problem.
- 28:56Speaker 3: I think the chances that they agree to three are
- 28:59Speaker 3: essentially zero because from their perspective, why would they Every
- 29:04Speaker 3: day they are getting tens of millions of dollars of
- 29:08Speaker 3: free press, and the press is just running a twenty
- 29:11Speaker 3: four hour infomercial for her, So why would she do
- 29:15Speaker 3: anything to take the Kamala Harris infomercial off TV? The
- 29:19Speaker 3: press wants her to win. I think they will feel
- 29:23Speaker 3: like we got to do one, and by the way,
- 29:25Speaker 3: and we'll talk about this as the debate approaches. Look,
- 29:28Speaker 3: that debate has has risks for both of them. It
- 29:31Speaker 3: has risks for her because when she's unscripted when she's
- 29:36Speaker 3: ad living, she can say all sorts of zany things
- 29:40Speaker 3: that are not terribly impressive. But it also has risks
- 29:43Speaker 3: for trumpet in particular, it has risks for Trump of
- 29:45Speaker 3: being too aggressive, too mean, and that has a potential
- 29:49Speaker 3: to backfire. Kamala is not Joe Biden, and so you know,
- 29:55Speaker 3: from the Democrat perspective, I think they would hope that
- 30:00Speaker 3: Trump would come across as a bully or or mean,
- 30:03Speaker 3: because I think they would they would be calculating that
- 30:06Speaker 3: doing so might well push swing voters to Kamala. And
- 30:10Speaker 3: so where I think we'll end up is one debate
- 30:14Speaker 3: September or October. I think Trump rightly will keep putting on.
- 30:18Speaker 2: ABC News has apparently yeah, well, ABC News has now
- 30:23Speaker 2: apparently confirmed that both Trump and Harris quote have agreed
- 30:27Speaker 2: to basic terms for their debate on September the tenth.
- 30:32Speaker 2: So you're saying, you believe there's a very good chance
- 30:34Speaker 2: that may be the only debate they do.
- 30:37Speaker 3: And remember that was the previously agreed debate that that
- 30:40Speaker 3: Joe Biden had also agreed to that Trump initially was
- 30:43Speaker 3: pushing back and not wanting and saying, how about we
- 30:46Speaker 3: do Fox instead and Kamala didn't want to do that.
- 30:49Speaker 3: It's they both now said Okay, we'll do ABC on
- 30:52Speaker 3: September tenth. I'd love to see three debates. I think
- 30:55Speaker 3: it would be better for democracy. I think would be
- 30:57Speaker 3: it would be better for the American people, for the voters.
- 31:01Speaker 3: But I think Kamala Harris and the Democrats do not
- 31:03Speaker 3: give a flying flip about democracy, don't give a flying
- 31:07Speaker 3: flip about the voters. They every single day that she
- 31:11Speaker 3: does nothing, the media is campaigning for twenty four hours
- 31:16Speaker 3: a day, and I think their entire strategy is don't
- 31:19Speaker 3: get in the way of the media campaign unfolding right now.
- 31:24Speaker 1: So let me ask you this.
- 31:25Speaker 2: And I look to Vegas every once a while because
- 31:27Speaker 2: it just I find it fascinating to see where they
- 31:29Speaker 2: and how they rank the race. You look at this
- 31:32Speaker 2: media propaganda that is historic on its scale for Harris
- 31:37Speaker 2: and all of the money that's flown in to boost
- 31:40Speaker 2: her and the ads that are running.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Everyone I think has seen them.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Now she is now only at even odds with Trump
- 31:48Speaker 2: in Vegas. This after they've thrown everything that they have
- 31:53Speaker 2: at Harris to try to save the Democratic Party.
- 31:57Speaker 1: And the question is, is the Kamala honeymoon over.
- 32:01Speaker 2: If it is, if it's straight up forty ninety nine
- 32:05Speaker 2: in Vegas right now, is this now going to turn
- 32:07Speaker 2: into somewhat of an actual and real campaign.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Look, I hope.
- 32:12Speaker 4: So.
- 32:13Speaker 3: I still believe Trump is gonna win in November, and
- 32:16Speaker 3: that we're going to see UH a very good election
- 32:19Speaker 3: where Republicans win the White House, we win the Senate,
- 32:21Speaker 3: and we win the House. That's what I think is
- 32:23Speaker 3: likely to happen. That being said, the chances of that
- 32:27Speaker 3: today are significantly less than they were three weeks ago.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Three weeks ago in Milwaukee, and you and I did
- 32:32Speaker 3: several podcasts from Milwaukee live from the convention. UH in Milwaukee,
- 32:38Speaker 3: the feeling was exuberant. In fact, you and I talked
- 32:41Speaker 3: about on this podcast. At the convention, I was worried,
- 32:44Speaker 3: I said at the time, I think Republicans are over confident,
- 32:48Speaker 3: that that that we feel like the race is over.
- 32:51Speaker 3: We're celebrating. You and I had conversations with people there
- 32:55Speaker 3: that that that that that were already handing out cabinet
- 32:58Speaker 3: positions and and and my view is the time for
- 33:00Speaker 3: celebration is after the election, not before. Now. The reason
- 33:05Speaker 3: there was such a sense of exuberance is because Joe
- 33:08Speaker 3: Biden was the opponent, and I think if Joe Biden
- 33:10Speaker 3: stayed the opponent, Trump would have won easily. And the
- 33:14Speaker 3: problem was Democrats came to that same conclusion, Oh crap,
- 33:17Speaker 3: we're going to lose if Biden's the president is the nominee.
- 33:20Speaker 3: So they yanked him out of the way and pushed
- 33:21Speaker 3: him aside and replaced him with Kamalin. Right now, three
- 33:25Speaker 3: weeks later, we've seen three weeks of relentless propaganda for Kamala,
- 33:32Speaker 3: and we have also seen so Trump, for much of
- 33:36Speaker 3: his presidential time and much of his campaigning time, has
- 33:40Speaker 3: been able to dominate the free media narrative, has been
- 33:43Speaker 3: able to drive the stories. The past three weeks, the
- 33:46Speaker 3: free media narrative has all been about Kamala. And I
- 33:49Speaker 3: think one challenge that I'm sure the Trump campaign has
- 33:52Speaker 3: focused on right now is how they drive the free
- 33:56Speaker 3: media narrative in a way that highlights how rat extreme
- 34:01Speaker 3: Kama is. And I would say, I think it's a
- 34:03Speaker 3: mistake for them to get into personal issues, issues that
- 34:09Speaker 3: are unrelated to Kamala's extreme record, and in particular how
- 34:14Speaker 3: it impacts people listen every election, I think is decided
- 34:19Speaker 3: to give.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Us an example of what you mean by that, give
- 34:22Speaker 2: us an example, because you said not getting into personal stuff.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Every election, I think is decided by the same basic question,
- 34:31Speaker 3: are you better off today than you were four years ago?
- 34:35Speaker 3: I think the Trump campaign ought to be discussing every
- 34:39Speaker 3: single day how ordinary people's lives are worse, how young
- 34:44Speaker 3: people coming out of school, look, newly married, looking to
- 34:47Speaker 3: buy their first home, are discovering that if you try
- 34:50Speaker 3: to buy a home with a seven or eight percent
- 34:52Speaker 3: mortgage instead of a two and a half percent mortgage,
- 34:55Speaker 3: you get half the house you used to be able
- 34:58Speaker 3: to get four years ago. Talking about seniors who are
- 35:02Speaker 3: discovering every one of their bills has gone up uh
- 35:06Speaker 3: and yet their income is not keeping pace. Talking about
- 35:10Speaker 3: families who are scared because illegal immigrants are being released
- 35:15Speaker 3: every single day, as I said on the stage in Milwaukee,
- 35:19Speaker 3: every damn day, an American is murdered, a woman is raped,
- 35:23Speaker 3: a child is assaulted and brutalized by illegal immigrants released
- 35:28Speaker 3: by Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and I think the Trump
- 35:32Speaker 3: campaign should focus on how to drive the narrative every day.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Both their they're paid messaging but also as much as
- 35:40Speaker 3: possible the earned media on how people's lives are worse
- 35:45Speaker 3: now because of the failures. Kamala Harris should not be
- 35:50Speaker 3: able to run on the hypothetical of what a Harris
- 35:54Speaker 3: presidency would look like because you know what she and
- 35:57Speaker 3: Joe have been in office for four years. We know
- 36:00Speaker 3: exactly what it looks like, and it's a train wreck.
- 36:03Speaker 3: And the Trump campaign, I think needs to that make
- 36:06Speaker 3: that the topic of discussion as much as possible every
- 36:10Speaker 3: day between now an election day.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Patriot Mobile is the only conservative cell phone provider out there,
- 36:17Speaker 2: and if you have not made the switch to Patriot Mobile,
- 36:20Speaker 2: you've got to see what they're doing.
- 36:22Speaker 1: It is incredible work.
- 36:24Speaker 2: They take your cell phone bill every month after you
- 36:26Speaker 2: pay it, and they take about five percent out of
- 36:28Speaker 2: that bill and they give it back to conservative causes
- 36:31Speaker 2: that are fighting for our values. Now, why do they
- 36:34Speaker 2: do this? Because Big Mobile is giving massive donations to
- 36:38Speaker 2: democratic causes, candidates and organizations, organizations that are supporting and
- 36:44Speaker 2: advocating for abortions for example. Well, that is not where
- 36:48Speaker 2: you want your money going. If you're like me, you're
- 36:51Speaker 2: tired of your money being used to literally go after
- 36:54Speaker 2: your family values, and that is why Patriot Mobile was
- 36:57Speaker 2: starting more than ten years ago. Now, I'm proud to

- 38:17Speaker 2: final question I have for you, and that is, how
- 38:22Speaker 2: do you prep if you're Donald Trump right now for
- 38:26Speaker 2: attacking a candidate that's in hiding. I mean it's different
- 38:30Speaker 2: because the last time it was, the attack was pretty clear.
- 38:33Speaker 2: The line was he's incapacitated, he can't do the job,
- 38:36Speaker 2: referring to Biden. You can't use that line against Harris.
- 38:40Speaker 2: So what do you do to undermine her in hiding?
- 38:42Speaker 2: Do you say, Hey, I thought she was able bodied,
- 38:45Speaker 2: I guess she's not, and try to bait her that way?
- 38:48Speaker 1: What's the strategy?
- 38:50Speaker 3: Look, I think you focus on substance. Her policies are extreme,
- 38:54Speaker 3: Her record is extreme. Her record is a failure. Her
- 38:57Speaker 3: record is hurting you. Your life is worse off. You know,
- 39:04Speaker 3: if you look at across the country, virtually no one
- 39:09Speaker 3: answers the question, yes, are you better off today than
- 39:13Speaker 3: you were four years ago? Unless you happen to be
- 39:16Speaker 3: a big tech billionaire or a Mexican drug lord. And
- 39:20Speaker 3: by the way, if you're a Mexican drug lord, you
- 39:22Speaker 3: ought to vote for Kabala and Waltz. They're clearly the
- 39:24Speaker 3: candidate for you. If you're a big tech billionaire, they're
- 39:27Speaker 3: your candidate too. But but, but if you're a steel worker,
- 39:32Speaker 3: if if you're a suburban mom, if you're a young person,
- 39:36Speaker 3: if you're somebody, if you're a senior, if you're somebody
- 39:39Speaker 3: who loves America, if you're somebody who wants your kids safe,
- 39:42Speaker 3: if you're someone who wants your grandkids safe, if you're
- 39:44Speaker 3: someone who wants to see peace and prosperity in the
- 39:47Speaker 3: world and not h not chaos, then you ought that.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Then the choice is a lot clearer. And and that's
- 39:56Speaker 3: what I think the Trump campaign needs to be looking
- 40:00Speaker 3: every day to make that real and personal and why
- 40:05Speaker 3: it matters to you.
