- 0:12Speaker 1: back down, giving them just like the million buck things.
- 0:17Speaker 1: And it's not good. Steve to mother Stuart Joy. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta use that turn arm. You gotta turn to turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: them out, turning, got to turn them out to turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: turn the water the water. Yall, come come on your thing.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I show a good minded everybody. You're listening to the
- 2:06Speaker 1: voice I come on digging naw one and only Steve
- 2:10Speaker 1: Harley got a radio show. I was. I had my
- 2:14Speaker 1: head down and it was thinking of what I wanted
- 2:18Speaker 1: to say this morning. But it kind of, uh, it's
- 2:23Speaker 1: kind of be something I've lived for a long time,
- 2:27Speaker 1: and you know, for a long time, you know, I
- 2:30Speaker 1: had a lot of faith in people. You know. It's
- 2:33Speaker 1: strange too, because you know, you know, my mother was
- 2:37Speaker 1: a Sunday school teacher, so of course I grew up
- 2:40Speaker 1: around it, knowing the scriptures and things like that. Not
- 2:44Speaker 1: not a lot of them, but you know, the ones
- 2:46Speaker 1: I retained. But having her as a mother was was
- 2:51Speaker 1: a huge help and understand about faith. But even with that,
- 2:55Speaker 1: as I grew up, I began to put a lot
- 2:58Speaker 1: of faith in people, and you know, I figured, you know,
- 3:02Speaker 1: just like everybody else, you know, man if I could
- 3:04Speaker 1: just meet this person, or if I could just sit
- 3:07Speaker 1: down with that person, or man if I could just
- 3:10Speaker 1: get this person to hear my ideal, or man if
- 3:14Speaker 1: if this person could hear my track, or man if
- 3:17Speaker 1: I could just get this in the hands or somebody
- 3:20Speaker 1: in the know. I was, like everybody else, I thought
- 3:24Speaker 1: that way. You know, I actually thought that if I
- 3:26Speaker 1: could get in a certain situation with a certain person,
- 3:30Speaker 1: that if a certain person were to meet me, that
- 3:33Speaker 1: you know, it could change everything for me. Oh man,
- 3:38Speaker 1: oh how wrong I was? Oh how wrong I was?
- 3:42Speaker 1: How long did I spend feeling that way? And how
- 3:45Speaker 1: many of you out there possibly have felt that way before?
- 3:48Speaker 1: You know, like even in a relationship, this is the
- 3:51Speaker 1: person for me, and you know, you just lay claim
- 3:54Speaker 1: to that, you know, not necessarily being a fact, but
- 3:57Speaker 1: you just lay claim to it. This is the person
- 4:00Speaker 1: and for me, this is the person that I want
- 4:02Speaker 1: to spend the rest of my life with. You know, sometimes,
- 4:04Speaker 1: you know, we just lay claim to stuff, and it's
- 4:06Speaker 1: not always what's in our best interest, or it's not
- 4:09Speaker 1: always a fact. It's just what we decided we want it.
- 4:13Speaker 1: And I was guilty of that, just like anybody else.
- 4:16Speaker 1: And I spent a lot of years in my life
- 4:18Speaker 1: putting faith in people. Man, if I could tell you
- 4:21Speaker 1: anything this morning, it's to stop putting your faith in
- 4:25Speaker 1: people and put your faith in God where it counts
- 4:28Speaker 1: the most. I mean, you can get something out of
- 4:31Speaker 1: this one. See, here's a deal about a relationship with God.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It's the same all the time. He never changes. His
- 4:39Speaker 1: word is one percent absolute. His word doesn't have loopholes
- 4:43Speaker 1: in it, none of that. It's this is what it is.
- 4:47Speaker 1: He's very clear. Now, you can deviate off your end
- 4:51Speaker 1: at a bargain, but it don't stop what he says
- 4:55Speaker 1: from being true. But if he asks you to do something,
- 4:58Speaker 1: if God asks you to be a certain way, to
- 5:00Speaker 1: do a little something a certain way, and you don't
- 5:02Speaker 1: do it that way, then you know you could still
- 5:06Speaker 1: possibly get by for a while. But don't you understand
- 5:11Speaker 1: that his end of the deal stays the same, and
- 5:13Speaker 1: as long as you're not doing it the way you're
- 5:15Speaker 1: supposed to, the results are not going to be what
- 5:18Speaker 1: you wanted to be. And I did this for years
- 5:20Speaker 1: and years and years, and I counted on people, and
- 5:24Speaker 1: you know, I got myself in a lot of situations.
- 5:27Speaker 1: And I got out one a dire situation that I'd
- 5:30Speaker 1: been in for a number of years. But he had
- 5:32Speaker 1: protected me from years prior to that. I didn't even
- 5:35Speaker 1: know what was going on, and then he made it away.
- 5:38Speaker 1: It made me aware of the problem. And then, man,
- 5:41Speaker 1: lord ha mercy, I was in a dismal situation. And
- 5:44Speaker 1: then at the end of the year, I was free,
- 5:47Speaker 1: free from it all. But it was a decision that
- 5:50Speaker 1: I had made that led up to that, and in
- 5:54Speaker 1: going through that process, I had to learn something. Man.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I learned a lot about people. See, if you want
- 6:00Speaker 1: to learn about your friends, if you want to learn
- 6:03Speaker 1: about your people people around you, get yourself in some trouble,
- 6:08Speaker 1: get yourself in a situation. Oh man, you start looking around. Man,
- 6:13Speaker 1: the field get real clear when you're in trouble. The
- 6:16Speaker 1: field clear is out when you're in doubt, when you
- 6:19Speaker 1: don't know what to do, when you need help it
- 6:22Speaker 1: get real clear on the play and field, then, don't it. Oh,
- 6:25Speaker 1: But when things is going right, it's time for a party.
- 6:28Speaker 1: We throw on a celebration. We were gonna we're gonna
- 6:31Speaker 1: do one down here. Oh man, there's plenty of people
- 6:34Speaker 1: on the field. But but but get yourself in a situation.
- 6:37Speaker 1: You find out rather quickly that old no, old no,
- 6:42Speaker 1: everybody ain't here. And that's when I started learning. And
- 6:45Speaker 1: I'm telling you, I had to start learning this for
- 6:48Speaker 1: real until I finally got it to stop putting my
- 6:51Speaker 1: faith in people and put all of mine in God
- 6:54Speaker 1: where it counts the most. Now is that to say
- 6:57Speaker 1: that there are people that you can't trust, No, that's
- 6:59Speaker 1: not what I'm saying. In I ain't say you can't
- 7:01Speaker 1: trust him, but you can't dump your faith in him.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I got it all riding on what he say. I
- 7:08Speaker 1: got it all riding on what she say. Na, Na, No,
- 7:14Speaker 1: I hear you saying it. But I'm gonna keep my
- 7:18Speaker 1: own this situation because I hear you saying it. But
- 7:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna take this faith of mine and instead of
- 7:25Speaker 1: putting it in people, I'm gonna put it in God
- 7:27Speaker 1: where it counts the most. Because his word is absolute.
- 7:30Speaker 1: What he say he gonna do, he gonna do what
- 7:33Speaker 1: he says. He's not gonna tolerate. He's not gonna tolerate. Now,
- 7:36Speaker 1: you can make it, you can make it tolerable for yourself,
- 7:38Speaker 1: but He's not gonna tolerate it. And that's just the
- 7:41Speaker 1: end of the line. And so you know, I'm wondering
- 7:44Speaker 1: how many people out there find themselves in a situation
- 7:47Speaker 1: like me. Or maybe you've gotten yourself in a situation
- 7:50Speaker 1: because you put your faith in some people and now
- 7:52Speaker 1: you wound up in a different type of situation. Now,
- 7:54Speaker 1: let me ask you, whetting people, at the only one
- 8:00Speaker 1: that I found when I was in my deepest trouble,
- 8:04Speaker 1: when me and my wife were in our darkest situation,
- 8:07Speaker 1: was God. It is the only one, was the only
- 8:10Speaker 1: one who was just right there, right there, all the
- 8:14Speaker 1: way through. Now, let me explain something to you. Because
- 8:21Speaker 1: you have this relationship with God, it does not mean,
- 8:24Speaker 1: it does not mean now that it won't get it
- 8:27Speaker 1: won't still be a situation, you understand. But what He
- 8:32Speaker 1: will do is protect you during that period. He'll cover
- 8:36Speaker 1: you during that period that it is a situation. He
- 8:40Speaker 1: will give you the strength to overcome the situation when
- 8:44Speaker 1: it turns into a situation. Then when He cracks it
- 8:48Speaker 1: open for you and the sun is bright and shining,
- 8:50Speaker 1: what he don't want you to do is when he
- 8:52Speaker 1: gets sunny again, to forget about him who was there
- 8:56Speaker 1: when it was dark for you. See, I used to
- 8:58Speaker 1: do that too, you know. I was Oh, man, I
- 9:01Speaker 1: did it. I'm telling you right now, I did it.
- 9:04Speaker 1: But I'm telling you man, when I learned a very
- 9:07Speaker 1: serious lesson and I watched some people I thought were
- 9:11Speaker 1: friends of mine just sort of casually remove themselves from
- 9:16Speaker 1: the situation. Then I said, okay. Me and Margie looked around.
- 9:21Speaker 1: We said, okay, it's just me, you and God. And
- 9:24Speaker 1: when we started conducting ourselves accordingly. So when it's sunny
- 9:29Speaker 1: for us, we remember God. We stay prayerful, we keep
- 9:33Speaker 1: talking to him. We thank him for the sunshine, we
- 9:36Speaker 1: thank him for the dark days that he allowed us
- 9:38Speaker 1: to do, who allowed us to survive it and turn
- 9:41Speaker 1: it into sunny days. And we talked to him constantly
- 9:44Speaker 1: to protect us of our future enemies. And that's what
- 9:47Speaker 1: the deal is. So if I was everybody, I would
- 9:49Speaker 1: stop putting your faith in people and put your trust
- 9:52Speaker 1: in God where it really does count the most. It
- 9:55Speaker 1: really really does. Ladies and gentlemen, we are here's a
- 10:03Speaker 1: new day to Steve Harvey Morning Show is with us.

- 11:21Speaker 1: Nicki Minahs saying that's just too much, yeah, you are ready,
- 11:24Speaker 1: then you know you do? You know it's too much
- 11:28Speaker 1: booty When it fell out my phone and on my table,
- 11:31Speaker 1: I know about Well I'm being right here. That will
- 11:39Speaker 1: way too much. When we're having Thanksgiving dinner and they
- 11:42Speaker 1: put the turkey on your butt. That's it's come on now,
- 11:47Speaker 1: come on now, mask. It was huge if when people
- 11:51Speaker 1: see it they are wondering who your friends and family are?
- 11:57Speaker 1: Yeah mm, because man, when you see somebody do something,
- 12:01Speaker 1: you're gonna ain't. No. Her funds talked to her all right,
- 12:05Speaker 1: right man, anybody anybody seeing baby sweet, you come here,
- 12:09Speaker 1: pull off? That's too far. It's good dog. I'm looking
- 12:14Speaker 1: at it, and he has unstriped pants and that's just
- 12:18Speaker 1: breaking more attention to it. You can't my bad from
- 12:22Speaker 1: you can't use my bad what? No not at mines
- 12:29Speaker 1: you want? You know you won't set that out? Know
- 12:32Speaker 1: what you want? What? Because she's people following behind her
- 12:38Speaker 1: her taking movies and films. But she's with a man.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Though he didn't want me love. He's he's a butt handler.
- 12:46Speaker 1: He's a butt handler, that's what he ars. Well, the
- 12:49Speaker 1: luggage has extra pass in it. You better believe she
- 12:57Speaker 1: didn't toast some stuff up, baby baby, Let me say something.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Stay walking in a stadium. I'm trying to figure out
- 13:07Speaker 1: what fold away chiff she finished it in which stadium
- 13:11Speaker 1: Chiff flips down? Is she gonna fit that in it
- 13:14Speaker 1: everyone not even on the plane. Get there on the plane, lady.
- 13:20Speaker 1: It's in the airport, lady, she's a bus girl. From
- 13:24Speaker 1: now on fanning. She's fanning herself as she walked. All right,
- 13:32Speaker 1: it's getting hot in here. All right, listen, uh coming up,
- 13:36Speaker 1: it is, asked the CLO. Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey
- 13:39Speaker 1: in the building for your love questions. Right after this,
- 13:42Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, time
- 13:46Speaker 1: now for asked the CLO. The Chief Love Officer Steve
- 13:50Speaker 1: Harvey is here for you for your love questions. This one,
- 13:54Speaker 1: uh CLO is from Tanya in Las Vegas. Tanya says,
- 13:57Speaker 1: I'm a thirty one year old biker and I'm in
- 13:59Speaker 1: a club with mostly men. I am very attracted to
- 14:03Speaker 1: a new guide that just moved to Vegas, and he
- 14:06Speaker 1: seems to be attracted to me because he asked me out.
- 14:09Speaker 1: The only problem is that I've slept with two of
- 14:12Speaker 1: the other guys in our club. Now I'm paranoid wondering
- 14:16Speaker 1: if the new guy has heard about my past with
- 14:18Speaker 1: the two other guys. Should I come clean and tell
- 14:21Speaker 1: them what happened to happen or play it cool for now.
- 14:24Speaker 1: They all know, they all know they're in the biker club.
- 14:30Speaker 1: You don't think that all the bikers know you Q.
- 14:35Speaker 1: You don't think that the two that has slept with
- 14:37Speaker 1: you and said, yeah, man, you know I went on.
- 14:41Speaker 1: You know, we were biking one day. You know she
- 14:44Speaker 1: won't to ride on the back. You know I let him.
- 14:48Speaker 1: You don't think that this conversation they had, and then
- 14:50Speaker 1: you don't think that the other biker has said, well,
- 14:52Speaker 1: hey man, you can't Holly hood because she's messing with
- 14:55Speaker 1: so and so. Then when you started messing with the
- 14:57Speaker 1: other guy. You don't think that that got around. Ladies
- 14:59Speaker 1: sto stop. If you don't think they'd have had a
- 15:04Speaker 1: discussion about you, You don't know men. Mmm. So then
- 15:09Speaker 1: what should she do? Should she play a cold or
- 15:12Speaker 1: tell him what happened? That's what she's asking. Yeah, gonna
- 15:14Speaker 1: tell him. He ain't gonna care, not because he gonna
- 15:19Speaker 1: figure that's what you're in the biker club. Fall. I'm
- 15:22Speaker 1: telling you that's how men think. But you can go
- 15:24Speaker 1: ahead and share it with him all you can let
- 15:26Speaker 1: him find out. He gonna find out all. I'll see
- 15:28Speaker 1: you on see you, I see you Holiday angie two.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Huh yeah, yeah, mm starting that flex. Oh dog, come on,
- 15:38Speaker 1: come on. But it's okay, lady. I mean, you know,
- 15:40Speaker 1: you're thirty one, you're in the biker club. You should
- 15:42Speaker 1: have just got in it to ride your bike. But
- 15:45Speaker 1: you don't messed around. And M I don't want to
- 15:48Speaker 1: say it. M. I don't want to say it. You
- 15:50Speaker 1: don't messed around it got road. Oh, such a double standard.
- 15:56Speaker 1: It is a double standard. But my father always told
- 15:59Speaker 1: my sisters and I know, forget this. He said, you
- 16:01Speaker 1: can't do what I do and still be a lady
- 16:04Speaker 1: and my daddy and my daddy would be a hundred
- 16:07Speaker 1: and seven if he was still living. He told me
- 16:12Speaker 1: that long long time ago. Okay, all right, we're moving on.
- 16:17Speaker 1: So you don't think she should go out with a
- 16:18Speaker 1: guy or dat him or anything. Just you attracted to him.
- 16:21Speaker 1: You attracted everybody on a bike. Just two guys, the
- 16:26Speaker 1: two guys. How big is a club? Surely it has
- 16:31Speaker 1: more than two guys and eight people in the club
- 16:34Speaker 1: with a fall for the club. All Right, we're moving
- 16:39Speaker 1: Telling y'all these numbers is important. We're moving on. Rowena
- 16:44Speaker 1: in Carlsbad, California. Max Number if two Amy is at
- 16:47Speaker 1: the club, Hey, it just didn't work out. Rowena and Carlsbad,
- 16:53Speaker 1: California says, I'm having a problem with my husband wanting
- 16:56Speaker 1: to quit his job and be a full time sproken
- 16:59Speaker 1: word artist. I've never been a fan of poetry or
- 17:02Speaker 1: anything similar to it stopped, so it's hard for me
- 17:05Speaker 1: to sit through his performances. I'm not sure what his
- 17:09Speaker 1: persona is when he's performing, and I don't want to
- 17:11Speaker 1: offend him by asking. I hate all of it. I
- 17:16Speaker 1: don't like having my friends come over to the house
- 17:18Speaker 1: because he tries to have fake deep conversations with them.
- 17:21Speaker 1: How do I tell him he's not that compelling and
- 17:25Speaker 1: he needs to cut it out? Y'all Fitness Stall, y'all
- 17:34Speaker 1: Fitness Stall. He's been to quit his full time job
- 17:38Speaker 1: to become a spoken word artist, not a rapper. He
- 17:42Speaker 1: wants to get on stage and say words the compelling
- 17:46Speaker 1: amount of fact we had one of them on as
- 17:50Speaker 1: Hi works out for him now. He comedy career is
- 17:54Speaker 1: doing fine, radio career doing fine, but as a spoken
- 17:58Speaker 1: word artist something Jay Rap Ragged Ass Point can't tell
- 18:08Speaker 1: you something. Even I ain't stupid for the quick this
- 18:11Speaker 1: to go do that. I swear to God, you do that.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Ro You know your husband you can't support this, Yeah,
- 18:22Speaker 1: tell your husband he ain't that deep. Tommy used to
- 18:25Speaker 1: have a character can Corey. Corey said what he thought
- 18:30Speaker 1: was the deepest stuff in the world. Give us one, Timmy,
- 18:35Speaker 1: can you give us one real quick? Like? And you
- 18:37Speaker 1: know they asked me, you know, you know, like lady bugs,
- 18:42Speaker 1: you know what's up with the man? Lady book? Did
- 18:45Speaker 1: he like being? Came lady book. You know what I'm saying.
- 18:47Speaker 1: It's the thing. You know what I'm saying, Jesus, the
- 18:51Speaker 1: conversations your husband when your friends come on me right there?
- 19:07Speaker 1: Because he came over for a barbie que. What happens
- 19:12Speaker 1: to a dream? Deferred? That? That all right? Moving on,
- 19:18Speaker 1: Janey and New Mexico says, last week, my dad called
- 19:21Speaker 1: to ask if he could put a suitcase in my
- 19:23Speaker 1: storage room off my garage. I told him to let
- 19:27Speaker 1: himself in and lock it back. A few days later,
- 19:29Speaker 1: I went to my storage room to get my Halloween decorations.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I noticed a lady's bag on the floor and it
- 19:35Speaker 1: was locked. I called my dad and he said, it's
- 19:37Speaker 1: his coworker's bag. And he dropped her off at the airport,
- 19:40Speaker 1: but she could not take more than two bags on
- 19:42Speaker 1: the flight. He said he couldn't take it home either.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I want to see see what's inside. Is my dad
- 19:48Speaker 1: lying to me? He thought this out though? Well sound good?
- 19:56Speaker 1: It's yeah, it sound good off at a bus station.
- 20:01Speaker 1: I don't think your dad is lying, right. I don't
- 20:05Speaker 1: think he should have involved you in it, even if
- 20:09Speaker 1: it was to help a co work out. But I
- 20:12Speaker 1: know he know he couldn't take that damn bag to
- 20:14Speaker 1: the house. Show in that house. Threw it away before
- 20:23Speaker 1: you did that. The sunfly patches on it. Yeah, he
- 20:29Speaker 1: made the best call with that one. Yeah, we're about
- 20:32Speaker 1: to run out of kay, you're starting. That's two. We're
- 20:42Speaker 1: gonna thought it through. Okay, just remember you started it
- 20:47Speaker 1: all right, Thank you, Ciello. We've run out of time
- 20:51Speaker 1: as usual. Great advice coming up next It is the
- 20:54Speaker 1: nephew would run that prank back right after this. You're listening,
- 20:59Speaker 1: stay Harday Morning show coming up at the top of
- 21:02Speaker 1: the hour. Miss Anne is standing by with our national
- 21:05Speaker 1: news for today and then entertainment news. Kanye West is
- 21:09Speaker 1: now yay, just yay, and Flavor Flav has been arrested
- 21:14Speaker 1: for domestic violence. We'll talk about all of these stories
- 21:17Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, but right now we'll

- 24:06Speaker 1: on a personal note, I'm just curious, is there a

- 30:19Speaker 1: gonna drop west now since he no longer is gonna
- 30:23Speaker 1: be non west. The baby's laughing, but yeah, the children.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Most time when I talked to him, I call him
- 30:29Speaker 1: something else that we on the radio. I can't say. Yeah,
- 30:34Speaker 1: do he answer to it? Though? I don't care. I'll
- 30:36Speaker 1: be talking to him just me and you sitting here.
- 30:40Speaker 1: You know now, according to the dictionary, yay is the
- 30:47Speaker 1: plural of you. Okay, Well that trying to make sense. Yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 1: it's the plurally you. It is several people that stay
- 30:54Speaker 1: in his heads. Yeah, because and he thinks he's a genius,
- 30:58Speaker 1: and all of that was why j he is a
- 31:01Speaker 1: musical genie. Yeah he is. I get musical. Stopped passing
- 31:08Speaker 1: out this genius tightly, everybody that won't. We're living in
- 31:12Speaker 1: these damn stadiums all across the damn country, finding your
- 31:15Speaker 1: house and setting yourself down somewhere with a yard and
- 31:17Speaker 1: stuff in a bed yard and a dog. It's your
- 31:19Speaker 1: way down that bother. Yes, oh no, Now he stayed
- 31:23Speaker 1: at the Mercedes being what is he doing over that
- 31:28Speaker 1: soldier fielding? What I mean, come on man stadium? All right?
- 31:33Speaker 1: Moving on an entertainment news. Flavor Flav is um in
- 31:37Speaker 1: jail now after being arrested for domestic violence. Earlier this month.
- 31:41Speaker 1: He was in Nevada, um. According to the law enforcement there.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Um Flav was booked on a misdemeanor charge of domestic
- 31:49Speaker 1: battery on October fifth by the Henderson Police Department. They
- 31:53Speaker 1: responded to a call about a domestic disturbance and when
- 31:56Speaker 1: they got there, Flave was placed into custody and taken
- 31:59Speaker 1: to the Just Send Detention Center. According to the criminal complaint,
- 32:03Speaker 1: Blave allegedly poked his finger on the alleged victims nose,
- 32:08Speaker 1: grabbed her, threw her down, and grabbed her phone out
- 32:10Speaker 1: of her hand. The city attorney tells us Flave is
- 32:13Speaker 1: officially charged with misdemeanor battery, constituting domestic violence. That's not good.
- 32:19Speaker 1: That's not good, that's horrible. Domestic violence. Your hands off them, ladies.
- 32:25Speaker 1: That is not Yes, you're having to do that, yea,
- 32:29Speaker 1: and vice versa. Got a clock, you know what time
- 32:31Speaker 1: it is, Come on, brow. That's really sad. Yeah, that
- 32:36Speaker 1: is it is. You know. Look, I'm just gonna say
- 32:40Speaker 1: to me in out there. I know you all are
- 32:44Speaker 1: raised in a different time. I get it. I got
- 32:46Speaker 1: things are different, I got it. But the rule of
- 32:50Speaker 1: thumb when I was growing up was do not put
- 32:53Speaker 1: your hands on a woman, no matter what. Yep. Not.
- 32:57Speaker 1: If you're defending your life, that's a different situation. That's
- 33:00Speaker 1: a completely different situation. But if y'all in a domestic argument,
- 33:06Speaker 1: in a relationship argument, y'all out on the sidewalk, arguy, man,
- 33:10Speaker 1: just walk away. Man. You ever see another day, bro,
- 33:13Speaker 1: But do yourself a favor. Man. It'll serve you well
- 33:17Speaker 1: to just not put your hands on him. Your ass
- 33:19Speaker 1: wouldn't be at the Henderson Detention facility right now. All right, Steve,
- 33:24Speaker 1: we got to move on here and get to the headlines.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne Tripp, thank you very much, everybody.
- 33:31Speaker 1: In the morning, there is still no apparent resolution or
- 33:33Speaker 1: information regarding the murder of Illinois State University graduates. The
- 33:37Speaker 1: Gilanti Day, the aspiring doctor's body found floating in the
- 33:41Speaker 1: Illinois River, but only identified weeks later after his mother,
- 33:44Speaker 1: who'd reported him missing in August, complained to the national
- 33:48Speaker 1: press about the apparent lack of urgency to find her son.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Gilani Day's family and fraternity Omega sci Fi, now asking
- 33:55Speaker 1: the FBI to handle the case, demanding via online petition
- 33:59Speaker 1: that federal as well as state investigators take over the
- 34:02Speaker 1: investigation from the Bloomington Police Department, in which the petition
- 34:05Speaker 1: suggests is not quite up to the job or maybe
- 34:08Speaker 1: not motivated. The families of the victims of the Parkland, Florida,
- 34:12Speaker 1: school massacre have reached a twenty five million dollars settlement
- 34:15Speaker 1: with that school district. The Broward School District has agreed
- 34:18Speaker 1: to pay that s out to the families of the
- 34:19Speaker 1: children and adults murdered or injured during the Valentine's Day
- 34:23Speaker 1: twenty eighteen shootings. The victims family accused the school of
- 34:27Speaker 1: negligence actually for failing to prevent the accused gunman, Nicholas Cruz,
- 34:31Speaker 1: from entering the campus in the first place. The FBI
- 34:34Speaker 1: now part of the urgent coordinated effort to rescue seventeen
- 34:37Speaker 1: members of a Christian group kidnapped in Haiti on Saturday.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Reports sarey that the gang thought to be holding them
- 34:43Speaker 1: as asking for seventeen million dollars, like one million dollars
- 34:47Speaker 1: for each captive. We'll see how this goes on, but
- 34:50Speaker 1: the FBI is involved in negotiations. Democrats in the US
- 34:54Speaker 1: Senate expected to reintroduce legislation today to strengthen voting rights
- 34:57Speaker 1: at the national level. That bill block repeatedly by Republicans,
- 35:01Speaker 1: but Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer is appealing to those
- 35:04Speaker 1: on the other side of the alto at least talk
- 35:05Speaker 1: about it. Democrats are ready to work with Republicans in
- 35:08Speaker 1: good faith if they vote to begin to debate on
- 35:11Speaker 1: voting rights. We know disagreements run deep. We don't hide
- 35:14Speaker 1: from that, but if our Republican colleagues have good ideas,
- 35:17Speaker 1: we'll work with them. Well. GOP leader Mitch McConnell doesn't
- 35:20Speaker 1: appear to be open, and he compromise. He claims the
- 35:23Speaker 1: voting rights measure is what he calls a partisan power
- 35:25Speaker 1: grab to micromanage elections. We'll get this. Facebook agreed to
- 35:30Speaker 1: shell out more than fourteen million dollars to settle claims
- 35:32Speaker 1: that are discriminated against American workers in favor of foreign ones.
- 35:36Speaker 1: The Justice Department sued Facebook, accusing it of illegally reserving
- 35:40Speaker 1: about twenty six hundred well paying jobs for foreigners on
- 35:43Speaker 1: temporary visas, whom the company was sponsoring for permanent residents,
- 35:47Speaker 1: and not considering any American applements applicants for the positions. Rather,
- 35:52Speaker 1: not one potential juror has been slated in George and
- 35:55Speaker 1: the trial those three white men accused of murdering Ahmad
- 35:57Speaker 1: Aubery and Get This Electric Cabin singer Eddie Grant suing
- 36:02Speaker 1: Donald Trump of well, what he says was the unauthorized
- 36:04Speaker 1: use of his song as part of a campaign design
- 36:06Speaker 1: to criticize Joe Biden. He says, oh no, even if
- 36:10Speaker 1: you ask, the answer would be, oh no. Not. Back
- 36:12Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show
- 36:17Speaker 1: the death of eighty four year old former Secretary of
- 36:19Speaker 1: State and four star General Colan Powell on Monday from
- 36:23Speaker 1: complications of COVID nineteen. Doesn't mean that the vaccine doesn't work. Yes,
- 36:30Speaker 1: General Powell was fully vaccinated, but he had underlying conditions
- 36:34Speaker 1: that contributed to his death even though he was vaccinated. Still,
- 36:38Speaker 1: government officials and health experts say vaccines are saving lives,
- 36:42Speaker 1: but they point to huh, Colin Powell was battling cancer. Yeah,
- 36:46Speaker 1: he was a battling cancer. Right, you know that's your
- 36:50Speaker 1: that's your whole immune system. Compromise everything, so you know,
- 36:55Speaker 1: let's not use this to political side. There you go,
- 36:58Speaker 1: somebody got a vaccination. He yeah, I mean probably why
- 37:09Speaker 1: would use that because because they are listen to me,
- 37:15Speaker 1: Shirley keeps saying something that's very true. The Democrats can't
- 37:19Speaker 1: get together on nothing. Let me explain something. The Republicans
- 37:23Speaker 1: are just the Republicans. They get the party line and
- 37:27Speaker 1: they all hold it. We got to we we got
- 37:29Speaker 1: the moderate Democrats and we got the progressive Democrats and
- 37:33Speaker 1: they asked this in fighting. So we can't get not
- 37:38Speaker 1: one damn thing together. So even though we're the majority,
- 37:42Speaker 1: we split. So now they're the minority. They united. They
- 37:46Speaker 1: always come out stronger. They always hold the party line.
- 37:50Speaker 1: But we ain't got no party line, no mansion meeting
- 37:54Speaker 1: with Bernie Sanders. They are in trying to work out
- 37:57Speaker 1: with something. Time take a picture with me, man, I'm
- 37:59Speaker 1: tired of all this police for mess in this country
- 38:01Speaker 1: right here. They don't do what's best for the people.
- 38:04Speaker 1: They do what's best for themselves and the people that's
- 38:07Speaker 1: in office and have won a position. Whole goal is
- 38:10Speaker 1: to stay there and if they got to hold the
- 38:13Speaker 1: party line, to stay there, to maintain the votes, that's
- 38:15Speaker 1: what they're gonna do. Damn what you need, Damn what
- 38:17Speaker 1: you want. Come on, get ourselves together. Stop all this
- 38:22Speaker 1: faith in these politicians and this government. Get your faith
- 38:26Speaker 1: in your God, yourself, your dreams, and your plans, and
- 38:29Speaker 1: get on about your business. So no matter what they do,
- 38:32Speaker 1: you can be straight. I don't give a damn what
- 38:34Speaker 1: they do. You need to repeat that because that I
- 38:37Speaker 1: like what you just said right there about get yourself together,
- 38:42Speaker 1: to get yourself together, stop putting your faith in these politicians.
- 38:46Speaker 1: We're gonna vote. Voting is one thing, but after that,
- 38:51Speaker 1: after we get who we want in now me God,
- 38:56Speaker 1: God first, the plan and me. That's what I'm focused on.
- 39:01Speaker 1: So no matter who is in office, you can still
- 39:04Speaker 1: be all right. I don't care if Trump get in again.
- 39:08Speaker 1: He's not messing my life up because I got no
- 39:11Speaker 1: faith in him. All right. That don't happen though, good, Yes,
- 39:18Speaker 1: all right, coming up together, he gonta get back come, yeah,
- 39:21Speaker 1: this is true. Coming up at thirty four minutes after
- 39:24Speaker 1: the hour, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 39:26Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about marriage right after this you're listening
- 39:30Speaker 1: to show. Well, guys, I don't know if you've heard
- 39:34Speaker 1: about this, but marriage rates are down all right, but
- 39:38Speaker 1: reality dating shows are very very popular. So uh huh.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Data shows low marriage rates among millennials and jen zers.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Only twenty nine percent of eighteen to thirty four year
- 39:52Speaker 1: olds were married in twenty eighteen compared to fifty nine
- 39:55Speaker 1: percent in nineteen seventy eight. So some say we might
- 39:59Speaker 1: be in a bit of a marriage crisis. However, if
- 40:02Speaker 1: you are watching those dating reality shows, it shows that
- 40:07Speaker 1: the desire to get married is very much there. And nephew,
- 40:11Speaker 1: of course, you are the host of a very popular
- 40:14Speaker 1: reality dating show called Ready to Love on the own network,
- 40:18Speaker 1: and what you do is try to nudge the contest
- 40:21Speaker 1: contestant in the right direction to find love first and
- 40:25Speaker 1: that could possibly lead to marriage. Right, So, I mean,
- 40:30Speaker 1: dating is a lot of work these days, But what
- 40:32Speaker 1: do you think these contestants do? They want to get
- 40:35Speaker 1: married or what I mean, do they is that what
- 40:38Speaker 1: they say expressed? I think some of them, I mean,
- 40:40Speaker 1: you don't have them before you you'll call it listen,
- 40:57Speaker 1: Thomas has it, Thomas has it? I think a lot,
- 41:00Speaker 1: you know what, it's both sides. When like they're just
- 41:02Speaker 1: a contestants on the show. There's people that really really
- 41:04Speaker 1: are looking for love. And then you got some guys
- 41:07Speaker 1: and you got some girls that are looking for the limelight,
- 41:09Speaker 1: looking for the fame, the camera for that finding it's
- 41:12Speaker 1: a fame. They're looking for that too, So I'm I'm
- 41:14Speaker 1: able to see that. But there are truly some people
- 41:17Speaker 1: on there that have been you know, wrapped up in
- 41:19Speaker 1: their careers for so long and having taken the time
- 41:22Speaker 1: to find love. All they had love at one time
- 41:24Speaker 1: that didn't work out, and it's come back around now
- 41:26Speaker 1: they're trying to find it. So it's some people that
- 41:28Speaker 1: really do want to be married and be in a
- 41:30Speaker 1: relationship for the rest of their lives, but finding it.
- 41:33Speaker 1: And then you know, the way the way that these
- 41:35Speaker 1: couples communicating now is completely different. You know, the text
- 41:39Speaker 1: messaging and it's just different. So you know, I grew
- 41:43Speaker 1: up where we talked face to face. I asked a
- 41:45Speaker 1: young lady to go out face to face. All we
- 41:47Speaker 1: talk on the phone. Now communication is just text phone Steve,
- 41:53Speaker 1: you all right, all right, I'm sitting here. I'm staring
- 42:01Speaker 1: at this zoom screen because who who is this? I
- 42:06Speaker 1: saw you? That's why I wanted to stop. Who I
- 42:12Speaker 1: see his mouth? Movie? Who is saying these? Where? Junior?
- 42:17Speaker 1: Why are you shaking your head? Man? I was sending
- 42:20Speaker 1: it amazed you even did any words a sentence that
- 42:25Speaker 1: lord without stop in it. I was just like, rest
- 42:31Speaker 1: you what is I didn't mean to interrupts you tell me,
- 42:35Speaker 1: but I had to check. Oh God, on the folks,
- 42:39Speaker 1: it just seems you don't link all people actually trying
- 42:42Speaker 1: to find love about that. You haven't been wrapped up
- 42:44Speaker 1: in their careers for years and have a type of time.
- 42:47Speaker 1: What is all these coherent and statements? What does he
- 42:52Speaker 1: what does he make his sense? Y'all? Y'all stop it
- 42:56Speaker 1: made I followed it. I said it made sense. I
- 42:59Speaker 1: knew what he was talking. I'll never stayed with him
- 43:01Speaker 1: that long without shaking my head and go, what ain't
- 43:05Speaker 1: normally about the second sentence? You go? What he did
- 43:11Speaker 1: about two? Working on three? Paragraphs and I don't somebody
- 43:17Speaker 1: write this. Let me tell you something, but it's this
- 43:20Speaker 1: delicious statement for the showing he's reading it, will packet
- 43:26Speaker 1: text him this answer. Did you talk to? And answer
- 43:31Speaker 1: to Highlight? Going to hust Timmy coming back, coming back
- 43:40Speaker 1: for the people that was looking at their radio trying
- 43:42Speaker 1: to figure out what's station they on. I'll tell you what.
- 43:47Speaker 1: It didn't increase my faith because if God can't do
- 43:49Speaker 1: it for time, and I believe that God is real,
- 43:55Speaker 1: I'll tell you that's all we needed to know. Ready
- 43:57Speaker 1: to love Friddy, the Love Friday Night, the Old Network,
- 44:06Speaker 1: all the time, Tommy, thank you for that very eloquent,
- 44:14Speaker 1: eloquent answer. All right, Well back to the ignorance we go.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Coming up next the nephew with the prank phone call.
- 44:22Speaker 1: You know how we do on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 46:31Speaker 1: have transportation. I'm sorry you're asking me. No, who are

- 46:55Speaker 1: to be having enough food to you know, for the
- 46:58Speaker 1: food for the kids to know because I don't have

- 47:03Speaker 1: And no, I don't have enough food to feed two
- 47:05Speaker 1: more children now, you're calling me, and who gave you
- 47:08Speaker 1: my information? Man? I'm gonna ask you another time. How
- 47:11Speaker 1: many bedrooms do you have in your apartment unit so

- 47:23Speaker 1: Who submitted my information to you? Okay? Man, let me
- 47:26Speaker 1: ask you something. How long have you? How long have
- 47:29Speaker 1: you been on your job? Okay? Um, what the I'm
- 47:34Speaker 1: not who all? No? I mean you? Your name has
- 47:36Speaker 1: been submitted by Okay, let's say that's how I'm not interested.

- 47:43Speaker 1: drop two white kids back and my no? Uh no, man,
- 47:48Speaker 1: I don't Oh no, we're not. No, that's okay. I
- 47:51Speaker 1: don't have time. I work ten dollars a day. I
- 47:54Speaker 1: don't have time. But you ask Okay, you can drop
- 47:57Speaker 1: there walking. You know what's gonna happens when you dropping
- 47:59Speaker 1: my it's gonna be right when you dropped them offen
- 48:02Speaker 1: when you come back to get them next week? Okay? Okay, Ma, Mark,
- 48:05Speaker 1: have you someone that has submitted your name that you
- 48:08Speaker 1: don't mind volunteering to take Now, now you can take
- 48:11Speaker 1: them to the who submitted my name. Take them to that.
- 48:14Speaker 1: I don't need them, okay, nam I worked ten hours
- 48:17Speaker 1: a day. Take them to whoever submit. How about you
- 48:20Speaker 1: take them sub ma'am. I'm I work for the agency, ma'am.
- 48:23Speaker 1: I'm here to try and get these kids a great
- 48:25Speaker 1: place to get educated. And that's okay. I'm not even
- 48:30Speaker 1: say no, no, no, thank you. And you had a
- 48:34Speaker 1: care ever told you do? Take them to take them
- 48:36Speaker 1: to that. Three children on my own. I'm taking care
- 48:39Speaker 1: of Hordle. We'll tell you that. But I don't know
- 48:44Speaker 1: exactly who submitted your name. All I know is that
- 48:46Speaker 1: that they said that you would be good as far
- 48:48Speaker 1: as taking care of your children and teaching them about
- 48:51Speaker 1: black kids to them, I told you that, ma'am. I
- 48:54Speaker 1: don't you know. Like I said, I'm working here at
- 48:57Speaker 1: adoptions and I'm I don't know who do you work for?
- 49:01Speaker 1: And I had three kids to mirrow and I worked
- 49:04Speaker 1: ten hours a day. I'm teaching about Black History month, Okay,
- 49:08Speaker 1: I mean is it? Is? It? Is it a problem
- 49:10Speaker 1: teaching two more children and two Caucasian children who probably
- 49:13Speaker 1: don't know as much about black history. It is a problem.
- 49:16Speaker 1: I worked ten hours a day, I got three. I'm
- 49:19Speaker 1: trying to feed on my own. What are you work?
- 49:22Speaker 1: You need? Take them children? Who told you to bring
- 49:25Speaker 1: them to me? How about that? Man? I don't know.
- 49:28Speaker 1: I'm not at liberty to give out the names on
- 49:30Speaker 1: who exactly submitted your name. I want the name of
- 49:33Speaker 1: the black who folgets to bring some kids to Let
- 49:38Speaker 1: me tell that as the kid's wife, I want the
- 49:41Speaker 1: name of the told you that. That's what I want im.
- 49:44Speaker 1: I don't have their names in front of me. I
- 49:46Speaker 1: don't told you to bring these two kids to mirow.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Like I said, I don't know who told me that.
- 49:52Speaker 1: All I know is we're scheduled to drop them off
- 49:54Speaker 1: at ten o'clock tomorrow morning. What color? Thanks from the
- 49:58Speaker 1: I though when you come back together? I didn't sign
- 50:01Speaker 1: up for any more kids. Give me the name of
- 50:04Speaker 1: the person who told you to bring me from that.
- 50:06Speaker 1: I don't have the name in front of me. And
- 50:08Speaker 1: actually I'm not at liberty to let you know who
- 50:11Speaker 1: submitted your name. All I know who was skilled to
- 50:13Speaker 1: drive two kids off at ten o'clock tomorrow? Did you?
- 50:16Speaker 1: I don't hear what the Fi've been asking you how
- 50:19Speaker 1: to sign me up to bring two white kids. I
- 50:21Speaker 1: don't even have a problem with the kids being right,
- 50:24Speaker 1: they could be Mexican Asians. That's not the point. Who
- 50:27Speaker 1: gave you, madam? I don't know who submitted your name.
- 50:30Speaker 1: I don't know that. Oh, now you're about to know
- 50:32Speaker 1: who gave you my information, because they might have done
- 50:35Speaker 1: the mouse. All I know is, ma'am, I'm scared to
- 50:38Speaker 1: bring those kids over there at ten o'clock in the morning. Okay, Oh,
- 50:41Speaker 1: that's who call you that. Hey, don't bring no kids
- 50:44Speaker 1: from my house. I don't even care if they wife,
- 50:47Speaker 1: Just don't bring two more kids from my mouth to
- 50:50Speaker 1: carry carry you. I will see you in the morning this, Valerie. Okay,
- 50:55Speaker 1: get in the lord. I have one more thing I
- 50:58Speaker 1: need to tell you about tomorrow. You listen. You are
- 51:01Speaker 1: you listening? Yes, I'm listening. You're not to say me
- 51:06Speaker 1: right now? Is nephew taught me from the Steve Harvey
- 51:10Speaker 1: Morning Show. You just got blanked by your co worker
- 51:14Speaker 1: name three and then I'm dead, ain't Oh gosh, how
- 51:29Speaker 1: thought you? I'm all right, all right, Valerie, I got
- 51:36Speaker 1: one more thing to ask you. What is What is
- 51:39Speaker 1: the baddest and I'm talking about the baddest radio show
- 51:42Speaker 1: in the land, the Steam every morning. Suffer play too
- 51:50Speaker 1: much at the bank. You one of them? Daddy ain't
- 52:01Speaker 1: one of them. Daddy ain't blank. He's back, you know
- 52:07Speaker 1: that over ignorant? Ain't he ignorant? It's back. And it's
- 52:18Speaker 1: better for the audience that you miss way timing because
- 52:20Speaker 1: it stops the confusion, because people, I'm telling people, was
- 52:23Speaker 1: pulling over on that land, white cat white it at all?
- 52:39Speaker 1: What's so elt on? You know? Bringing three two more
- 52:43Speaker 1: kids though here. I got three of them over here already,
- 52:46Speaker 1: one of them daddy one of them. Daddy ain't blank.
- 52:47Speaker 1: So I'm just telling you, like now, I can't take
- 52:49Speaker 1: no money. Okay, that's a mistake she made, but she's
- 52:53Speaker 1: not making no mo mistake. I don't care that they white,
- 52:55Speaker 1: they be aging. I don't care you're not praying in
- 53:00Speaker 1: two mot Okay. I'm at my limit with you. Things right.
- 53:07Speaker 1: It wasn't about three kids over here. I'm trying to feed. Yes,

- 54:06Speaker 1: You hear that, just like we're going to read this
- 54:07Speaker 1: one right here, right now. You never know, it could
- 54:09Speaker 1: be yours. You never know. Buckle upat hold on tight.
- 54:13Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here it is Strawberry letter.
- 54:16Speaker 1: All right, Thank enough you subject my friend or my cousin.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I would never write into your show,
- 54:23Speaker 1: but I'm in need of help. I'm a thirty two
- 54:26Speaker 1: year old single man, and I have a female best friend.
- 54:29Speaker 1: We have been in a platonic relationship for eight years,
- 54:33Speaker 1: and we messed all of that up after we started
- 54:35Speaker 1: living together. It got too convenient. And although she's a
- 54:39Speaker 1: little overweight, she's still a very sexy woman and she
- 54:43Speaker 1: knows how to please me. It's been a friends with
- 54:46Speaker 1: benefits type of situation for the past year, and some
- 54:49Speaker 1: nights I sleep in her bed all night. It's confusing
- 54:53Speaker 1: for both of us because she has a boyfriend that's
- 54:56Speaker 1: my first cousin. He doesn't suspect that we would ever
- 54:59Speaker 1: mess around because of her weight. She is doing all
- 55:03Speaker 1: kinds of stuff to me in our apartment, and she
- 55:05Speaker 1: said she feels bad about kissing her boyfriend when she
- 55:08Speaker 1: sees him. We've started to make excuses to keep him
- 55:12Speaker 1: from coming over because we want to be alone and
- 55:14Speaker 1: walk around naked. I can't get enough of her, and
- 55:18Speaker 1: I have taken off work just to play house with
- 55:21Speaker 1: her all day. The only problem is that she's having
- 55:24Speaker 1: fun with me, but not taking things as seriously as
- 55:27Speaker 1: I am. I want her to choose between my cousin
- 55:30Speaker 1: and I, and she won't. She wants me to first
- 55:33Speaker 1: admit that I don't have any issues with her weight.
- 55:36Speaker 1: I told her that I do have issues with it,
- 55:38Speaker 1: and I'm not going to lie to her because I
- 55:41Speaker 1: care about her. I can't get her to see that
- 55:44Speaker 1: I will take her as she is now, but I
- 55:46Speaker 1: know she can be so much better and thinner. Because
- 55:49Speaker 1: of that, she won't commit to me and leave my
- 55:52Speaker 1: cousin alone. I'm thinking of telling my cousin what we've
- 55:55Speaker 1: been doing so he'll break up with her. But should
- 55:59Speaker 1: I figure out if I'm just sprong or if I
- 56:01Speaker 1: really want her? Which one is it? Yeah? This is
- 56:05Speaker 1: very confusing. You need to know what you're doing here,
- 56:08Speaker 1: and I think it's both. I think you're sprong and
- 56:11Speaker 1: I think you do really want her. It's proven by
- 56:16Speaker 1: the fact that you've taken off work just to play
- 56:18Speaker 1: house with her all day. I mean, who does that.
- 56:21Speaker 1: You guys live together and you know you can see
- 56:23Speaker 1: her when you get home, right, and why else would
- 56:26Speaker 1: you even be thinking about snitching to her cousin about
- 56:29Speaker 1: your relationship with his girl? And who is this dumb
- 56:33Speaker 1: boyfriend anyway that you can't see what's going on between
- 56:36Speaker 1: you two supposed best friends? But really, your friends with benefits.
- 56:41Speaker 1: You never say why you guys are living together, but
- 56:44Speaker 1: we get it. It's the sex and the things that
- 56:46Speaker 1: she's doing to you that you mentioned in the letter.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Now you want her to leave her man, your first cousin,
- 56:52Speaker 1: and be with you, but you have a condition. You
- 56:55Speaker 1: want her to lose weight. You said she's just a
- 56:58Speaker 1: little overweight, but you make it sound in a letter
- 57:02Speaker 1: like she's way overweight or something, and that's why you
- 57:06Speaker 1: know you're being hesitant about this. But you know, my
- 57:09Speaker 1: question is why should she get serious with you if
- 57:12Speaker 1: you do have problems or issues with her size, you
- 57:14Speaker 1: can't commit one way or the other. And I think
- 57:17Speaker 1: that's pretty shallow of you. So she is a little overweight,
- 57:21Speaker 1: you said that, So what it doesn't bother you When
- 57:23Speaker 1: you're inside the house and you're walking around naked and
- 57:25Speaker 1: she's doing all these things to you. You either one
- 57:28Speaker 1: of the way she is right now with all her thickness,
- 57:31Speaker 1: or you don't. I mean, make up your mind. If not,
- 57:33Speaker 1: I'm sure she'll dump you eventually and make up your
- 57:37Speaker 1: mind for you. You know, I think you need to
- 57:39Speaker 1: be Just come on out and just tell her, Steve,
- 57:43Speaker 1: tell her this, dude, right here, boy, write no grown
- 57:49Speaker 1: ass man, no letter like this like we all see
- 57:52Speaker 1: this here. I would never write into a show. You boy, stop,
- 57:57Speaker 1: you're writing into a show. I hate when people do that.
- 58:00Speaker 1: I would never write into a show. Yes you would,
- 58:03Speaker 1: you're doing it. But I'm in need of help. I'm
- 58:05Speaker 1: a thirty two year old single man and I have
- 58:07Speaker 1: a female best friend. And told y'all I would have
- 58:10Speaker 1: told y'all about to your best friend. I would have
- 58:13Speaker 1: told y'all for years. Y'all don't believe me, but here
- 58:16Speaker 1: come another damn letter. We've been in a plutonic relationship
- 58:20Speaker 1: for eight years, and we messed all that up after
- 58:22Speaker 1: we started living together. He got too convenient. And although
- 58:26Speaker 1: she's a little overweight, she's still very sexy woman and
- 58:30Speaker 1: she knows how to please me. Let's stop this letter here,
- 58:36Speaker 1: what brother, is the reason for the line? She's a
- 58:40Speaker 1: little overweight, but she's still a very sexy woman. Boy,
- 58:47Speaker 1: that happens all the damn time. You got Instagram, boy,
- 58:56Speaker 1: this happens all the time. Stop saying that she a
- 59:01Speaker 1: little old way but she's still sexy. Boy. Boy, one
- 59:06Speaker 1: ain't got nothing to do with the other. And you
- 59:10Speaker 1: are living proof. Although she's a little overway, she's still
- 59:15Speaker 1: very saying and knows how to please me. Now, how
- 59:18Speaker 1: did y'all get to that point? If y'all was in
- 59:21Speaker 1: a plutonic relationship, how did you get to this point
- 59:25Speaker 1: because you're attracted to her? But this is the whole
- 59:29Speaker 1: problem in the letter. This boy trying to prove something different.
- 59:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna show it to you. It's friends will benefit
- 59:36Speaker 1: type situation for the past year. Some nights are sleeping
- 59:40Speaker 1: her bed all night. Duh, duh. Ain't like you got
- 59:48Speaker 1: to get up and go home. You crossed the hall. Dog,
- 59:56Speaker 1: That ain't a big choice. If you didn't want to
- 59:58Speaker 1: stay in the bed all night. Hello, all you got
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: to do is walk across the hall. When you get
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: them going the bathroom, just stay on that side. But
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: who you're trying to fool? It ain't like you got
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: to dry across town. You got to walk across the hall. Boy,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: you in that bed because you like it in there.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Who are we trying to fool? When I come back, man,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: I'm feel to blow this letter wide open because I'm
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: gonna give y'all ladies and cut the beaks inside the mail. Mind,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: then give y'all the male perspective. I know exactly what
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: before going to stop? All right, Steve, hang on, we'll
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: have part two of your response coming up. Today's Strawberry

- 1:00:40Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening to Steve Morning Show.

- 1:00:55Speaker 1: it's easy to help protect yourself. Norton three sixty with

- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. The subject my friend or my cousin. So,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, what I'm gonna do is, I'm gonna
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: read this letter right now. This is my response, and
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna show you as we go along what's wrong
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: with the letter. And then at the end, I'm I'm
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: gonna summon to all of them. Tell you what it is.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: First of all, just Stephen, Shirley, my friend or my cousin.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: I would never write into your show that's a lie,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: because you just did. But I'm gonna need to help.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: I'm thirty year old single man. I have a female
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: best friend that's fitting to not be his friend in
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: just a second. We've been in platonic relationship for eight years,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: and we messed all that up after we started living together.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: It got too convenient. Although she's a little overweight, she's
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: still a very sexy woman and she knows how to
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: please me. Boy, you can leave off the overweight part
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: because that ain't got nothing to do with this. It
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: really don't. This is you trying to fool us. And
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: when we get to the end to let I'm approving.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: It's been a friends with benefit type of situation for
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: the past year and some nights I sleep in her
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: bed all night. Well, yeah, because you want to Like
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: I said earlier, you don't stay acrosstown. You ain't got
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: dry across town. All you gotta do is to walk
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: across the hall. You're in the bed all night because
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: you want to it's confusing for both of us because
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: she has a boyfriend that's my cousin. Where's the confusion?
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Y'all sleep together and her boyfriend is your cousin. That
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: sounds clear to us. Anybody need clearing on that? So
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: where's the confusion? He doesn't suspect that we would ever
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: mess around because of her weight. Boy, Both of y'all
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: got to be joking. Both of y'all got to be okay.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: He thinks she can't get nobody else causing her weight,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: and he thinks you don't want her causing her weight,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: and both of y'all lyne because she didn't got somebody else,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: and don't neither one of y'all care about her weight. Oh,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, do yo letter? Boy? She is doing all
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: kinds of stuff to me in our apartment, and she
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: said she feels bad about kissing her boyfriend when she
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: sees it. Well, we know what that's about. But that's
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: you know, you doing something to her too. I would
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: have problems having a close up conversation with you without
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: your mask on. How about that? So now we all
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: got a couple of issues right here, and it ain't
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: got damn thing to do with COVID. Hello, okay, now
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: they keep going Steve Harper. We started to make excuse.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: We started to make excuse to keep it from coming
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: over because we want to be alone and walk around naked.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: You want to walk around naked because you ain't got
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: no problem with this girl's weight. Boy, who you think
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: you're questioning? I can't get enough of her. I thought
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: you said she was not you. She was overweight. You
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: can't get enough for her, and I've taken off work
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: just to play house with her all day. You forsaking
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: your money or this girl. You don't care nothing about
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: her weight. Boy. The only problem is that DC's having
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: fun with me but not taking things as seriously as
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: I am. Whole thought y'all was in the plutonically, lets
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: you show. I thought y'all was having confusion. Oh, now
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: you take it away more serious than she is. I
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: want her to choose between my cousin and she won't
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: why she got both, y'all. She wants me to first
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: admit that I don't have an issue with her weight.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: I told her that I do have issues with her weight.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: But you don't act like it, boy, and you don't
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: sound like it. Boy, and I'm not going to lie
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: to her because I care about her, but you lying
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: to yourself. I'm going to blow this letter up. Y'all.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Stay with you. I can't. I can't get her to
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: see that I would take her as she is now.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: We've been held up though. Have you been reading the
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: letter that you wrote. I thought you said your issue
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: is with her weight, and your cousins thinks she won't
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: mess around. Caused her weight, and she told you she
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: won't pick you over her cousin because you got an
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: issue with her weight. And then you said you don't
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: have an issue with her weight, and then you just
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: said I would take her as she is now, but
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: I know she could be so much better and filler.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: Because of that, she won't commit to me and leave
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: my cousin alone. Here go to good part. I'm thinking
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: about telling my cousin what we've been doing so he'll
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: break or with her. Well, you also need to think
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: about that. Ask him you're gonna get when you tell
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: him what y'all have been doing. That's what you need.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Please feel to that. And this ain't gonna be a
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: smooth transition. You wanted the dumbest dudes to write in
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: to me in a long time, So I'm just calling
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: y'all on it. I'm thinking of telling my cousin what
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: I've been doing so he would break up with her.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: Like I said, Nie, think about that. Ask him you're
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: gonna get right after you tell him? This ain't gonna
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: be no smooth transition. How y'all think that's been the work?
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Should I figure out first if I'm just sprung or
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: if I really won't her? Which one is it? You
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: won't her, but you can't believe you are. That's for starter. Secondly,
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: let's stop all this. She can be better. If you
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: could get better, you would. I keep telling y'all men
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: get the best chick they can get. You getting her,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: cause she the best chick you can get. You know why,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: because it ain't nothing really wrong with her, But you're
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: trying to convince yourself of something else. See, if you
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: could get thinner, you'd get thinner. Ain'tybody got no gun
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: to your head? See you trying to make her and
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: us believe that you could do better than this. But
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: you can't, because if you could do better and get better,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: you would do it. What man? You know it's settling
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: for women? Dog? You have the best one you can get.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: But you're sitting up in there trying to make us
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: think you can do better than this, like I can
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: have something else. No, you can't, boy, go somewhere in
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: six show behind down. Yeah, all right, all right, thanks
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: your comments. Un Today's Strawberry Letter. It's Steve Harvey FM

- 1:08:01Speaker 1: how you feel. You're gonna take it or you gonna
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: leave it? Okay, all right, here we go. Is it
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: time YouTube? Man? You want to just take you to
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: leave it? Ben Simmons to be finished. Ben Simmons to
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: finish the season with the Philadelphia seventy sixers and be traded.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: You'll take that traded? Yes, yeah, yeah, I think hes
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: gonna be trade. He ain't gonna play as soon as
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: he missed a shot. They're gonna start bulling as soon
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: as he missed one first game. As soon as he
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: missed then get the bulle it again. All right, U
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: Lakers to win the West. I like that. That's a bit.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: That's a stacked stacked They they got everybody over there,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: the old school stacked, but they stacked Carmelo, you know,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: Russell Westbrook new the team. They got everybody over there,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Carmelo Anthony. So I could see that a D and Lebron.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: I could see that next to win the East? No,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: why not? Because Milwaukee's see even without Kyrie Irving that
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: they can't win the Great truth Dog Kyrie knock on
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: me playing if unless he gets his damna okay, believe

- 1:09:12Speaker 1: ain't gonna have yeah, he said in his ways. Man,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: you're not gonna do it. Yeah, one hundred and thirty
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: five thousand dollars a game. I bet you get unset.

- 1:09:38Speaker 1: He's good when he helped it. But something gonna happen
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: to talking to Brown about his off season UM training program,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: because probably I think of any basketball player I've seen ever,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: I think no one has taken care of better care
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: of itself than Lebron Lebron James. Yeah, in the season,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: he spent about a million dollars on his body. Huh okay,

- 1:20:44Speaker 1: Harvey Morning, our last break of the day, and some
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: closing remarks one and only Steve Harvey right after this.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: here we are our last break of the day on
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: this Wednesday, seems like this day, this week is going
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: by pretty quickly. Huh yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, Well
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: let's see what the Man with the Plan has for
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: us today. In his closing remarks, well, you know, I'm
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: trying to uplift and motivate people. That's one of the
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: things that's been put on me to do, and I've
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: decided to go ahead and take it on because I'm
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: getting I'm approaching that age while I'm really really not
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: caring what people say or think anymore, I mean at all.
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: You know, I'm I'm getting to the point where it's
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: it's about to be at all what you think or
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: say about me at all. I'm getting more and more
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: closer to that, or God willing, on my sixty fifth birthday,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: I will make the official announcement that is officially now
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: nothing you says to me matters nothing. If you're not
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: talking to me about uplifting, if you're not talking to
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: me about good will, if you're not talking to me
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: about righteous subjects, if you're not being positive, if you're
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: not seeking a better way and a better life than
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: guess what, man, stay away from me, because you know
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: a man, when you, when you, when you, when you're
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: around people that's not going in the same direction with you,
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: it's a detriment to your journey. They're gonna present a
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: weight that you don't need to carry, you know, And
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: too many times we put our future in the hands
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: of people who don't know, who just don't know, and
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: sad to say, sometimes that's your family, Sometimes that's your parents.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: If I had listened to my mother's vote as much
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: as I know, my mama loved me, Oh my god,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: my mama wanted nothing but the best for me. I
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: am here today because of her prayers. I know illus
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: Via Harvey was praying me that I would get up
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: out the gutter and turn myself into something. But when
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: I walked in the house and made then announcement, I
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: was gonna pursue his dream, she wasn't on board with it.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: But I didn't get mad at her because I knew
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: she loved me. Boy, get a job like your daddy
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: and your brothers. Don't go out here with this foolishness.
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: We not show business people. I know Mama, I know Mama.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: I love you, boy, Please listen to me. I saw.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: I know Mama. I stayed respectful the whole time. I know, Mama,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: love you, but I gotta go do this. Well, I'm
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: gonna pray for you. Then. Prayers right there got me through.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: But you know when I stopped doing after I went
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: down and told my mama, when I went in there,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: told a couple of friends and my brother's name. I
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: stopped taking votes after that. I learned something that day.
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: Stop taking votes, man, You and God are the majority.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: That's the vote. You and God are the majorities. Stop
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: taking votes. I'm telling you, man, the vote ain't gonna
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: go your way. You're gonna end up like the politicians.
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: Now you're gonna be in the House and the Senate.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: You ain't gonna get nothing done. You gotta get the facts. Man,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: they're out here dealing with They don't have the facts.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: They don't know what's best for you because they don't
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: know you. They don't know what's in your imagination, because
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: God ain't put it in theres. Get rid of people
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: who are always voting nay every time you need a yaye.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: Get rid of them people. Man, I'm telling you, they
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: are hinderance, They blocking your blessing. They slow in your role.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: They're impeding your progress. They're there. Yeah, but what if
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: they don't like me no more? Man? Hell, if that's
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: what you call liking me, stop liking me. If every
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: time I come to you, I get a name. Every
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: time I come to you, you get to tell me
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: why something don't work, and you posted like me, I
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: gotta I got to read defying where I like it is,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: and you get away from me. God is quit like
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: it me? Man. Yeah, but but yeah, but if they
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: don't like me no more, I don't know good. Sometimes
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: God removes people from your life because he heard conversations
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: you didn't hear. He saw things you couldn't see, and
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: he made moves that you wouldn't make. Everybody that God
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: has ever removed from my life, as I look back
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: on it, good riddens. Good riddens. And let me tell
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: you something else. When God removes you from a situation
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: and get you past the situation, stop revisiting it, stop
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: going back, hash it over, going back down memory lane,
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: trying to find what was good about it. It was wrong.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: It's over. You know. I'm any people and took people
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: back and got the same dog old thing after they
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: took them back. Yeah, but I changed you did, they didn't.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: My attitude towards them is different. There's towards you may
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: be the same. Man. I'm telling you, y'all, you have
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: got to cut ties with things that are not helping you.
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: Let it go so you can grow. The key word
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: in grow is go. IF's the only two letters that
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: make a word, and the word grow is go. You
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: need the G and the oh to go. Now. If
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: you stay, then ow becomes out out. Get the G
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: and the O and grow and go. You have to
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: go to grow, y'all. It's okay to lose some people
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: along the way. It's necessary. Stop feeling bad because you
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: won't better for you. Do what's best for you and
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: your future. Get rid of them people, Let them go
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: so you can grow. Those are my closing remarks today.
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: I was going to do some other closing remarks, but
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: something told me to do them right now. Somebody needed
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: that one right there, and I thank you for all.
