- 2:14Speaker 1: God been good to me, man, He's been so good
- 2:17Speaker 1: to me. Wow. And you know why I say it
- 2:23Speaker 1: like that. What makes it amazing is because it's been
- 2:26Speaker 1: in spite of myself. I mean, you know what I
- 2:30Speaker 1: mean by that. I mean I mean that he's been
- 2:33Speaker 1: good to me in spite of all the craziness I've done,
- 2:39Speaker 1: all the foolishness I've gotten myself involved with, and not
- 2:43Speaker 1: only got but knowingly got myself involved with, all of
- 2:48Speaker 1: the stupid decisions I've made. Put all that to the side,
- 2:54Speaker 1: and he's still been good to me, bring it all
- 2:57Speaker 1: and put it on the plate, and he's still be
- 3:00Speaker 1: good to me. Man. That's amazing man. And I'm sure
- 3:03Speaker 1: there's a lot of people that can say the exact
- 3:05Speaker 1: same thing. I mean, come on, man, I got you,
- 3:09Speaker 1: ain't famous, I got anybody, got no microphone in your face,
- 3:12Speaker 1: I got nobody, ain't got no spotlight on you. I
- 3:14Speaker 1: got nobody, ain't got no came in your face. I
- 3:16Speaker 1: got nobody problem. Ain't your body blogging about you. But
- 3:18Speaker 1: let me tell you so, if you break it down
- 3:21Speaker 1: and be real about it, Oh, you haven't done something
- 3:23Speaker 1: outside the box. You haven't done something ladies included, you've
- 3:27Speaker 1: done something out the box. You woke up and went
- 3:29Speaker 1: what did I do that for? Oh? We've all done it.
- 3:35Speaker 1: So when all that said and done, God still loves you, man,
- 3:40Speaker 1: God still loves you, still wants you the best for you,
- 3:43Speaker 1: still considers you his child. And and it's willing, it's
- 3:47Speaker 1: willing man to show you your future. He is willing
- 3:51Speaker 1: to show you your life. He is willing to let
- 3:54Speaker 1: you take a peek at the blueprint. Man. That's an
- 3:58Speaker 1: amazing God right there, because I don't I know, I
- 4:01Speaker 1: couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. I'm glad it's him,
- 4:04Speaker 1: you know. Today, Man, I want to encourage brothers out there.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And when I say brothers, I'm talking to everybody that's
- 4:10Speaker 1: of the male species. I don't care about your color.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I really really don't. I don't even have time for
- 4:15Speaker 1: that in my day. A matter a matter of fact.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Sometimes when you get to discussing race, I just get
- 4:20Speaker 1: tired of it. Sometimes I just wish, you know, some
- 4:23Speaker 1: days I just want to wake up, just do me.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You know, I got what what the skin tone is.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I got that. But I just want to wake up
- 4:30Speaker 1: some days and just going buy my business and do me.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I don't want to have to deal with it. Sometimes
- 4:34Speaker 1: I get tired of talking about the issues. Ain't gonna
- 4:37Speaker 1: make them go away. But sometimes I get tired, so
- 4:38Speaker 1: the damn talking to brothers, all the brothers of the
- 4:41Speaker 1: male species. I'm talking about men today. Man, If if
- 4:47Speaker 1: you ain't doing it all, if you're feeling empty, man,
- 4:50Speaker 1: start today completing your process and your journey. And you
- 4:54Speaker 1: know what I'm saying by that, if there's a part
- 4:57Speaker 1: of you just missing as a man, and now, man,
- 5:01Speaker 1: I'm talking to you, so you know some ladies listening,
- 5:04Speaker 1: but you know what I'm talking about. It's it's some
- 5:06Speaker 1: part of you that's missing as a man, if you
- 5:09Speaker 1: ain't really been in touch with your kids like you
- 5:12Speaker 1: supposed to now for whatever the reason is. And please no,
- 5:16Speaker 1: I do understand how sometimes women can use children as pawns.
- 5:23Speaker 1: It happens all the time. I've been through it. I've
- 5:26Speaker 1: been through it, man, I know what it feels like,
- 5:29Speaker 1: man to want to do something. But because you ain't
- 5:32Speaker 1: got this, or you ain't doing this, then I ain't
- 5:34Speaker 1: gonna let you have this. You gotta fight through, fellas,
- 5:37Speaker 1: you got to fight through. You got to fulfill your
- 5:42Speaker 1: end of a deal. And I got how difficult they're
- 5:46Speaker 1: making it. I got how Man, it's gonna come with
- 5:48Speaker 1: some drama, but you gotta fight through it. Because man,
- 5:52Speaker 1: we need fathers to be fathers. That's really what we need.
- 5:56Speaker 1: If you're a man out there and you are a
- 5:58Speaker 1: father of a child, need you do your job. We
- 6:02Speaker 1: I'm talking about the our community, our situation, us as
- 6:07Speaker 1: a people, all of us. We need you to be
- 6:11Speaker 1: a father. Period. Hey man, I ain't coming down on you.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I'm just your boy. I'm your man, and I've been
- 6:20Speaker 1: in the same predicament, in the same hole myself, where
- 6:23Speaker 1: I couldn't get to them, where they were used as pawns,
- 6:27Speaker 1: where they were told things about me that wasn't even true.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I've been through it. You can't see them, you don't
- 6:34Speaker 1: come on, okay, okay, I got all that. You ain't
- 6:36Speaker 1: sent this. You ain't okay, hey, hey, got all that.
- 6:39Speaker 1: If if you can call them sometimes, tell them you're
- 6:44Speaker 1: thinking about them, tell them you love them. If you
- 6:47Speaker 1: can get a letter to them, if you can get
- 6:49Speaker 1: a message to your children through one of your relatives,
- 6:53Speaker 1: start the process today. Be a father. It's your job now.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Because you ignoring him, or you acting like they ain't
- 7:02Speaker 1: over there, or you don't back him out of your
- 7:04Speaker 1: mind because the situation got too difficult. I got that,
- 7:08Speaker 1: I got that. But you got to step up and
- 7:11Speaker 1: be fatherless. You got to write a letter. You gotta
- 7:14Speaker 1: send the money. If she talking about it. If you
- 7:16Speaker 1: don't send all the money, you ain't gonna see him.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Send what you got if she if taking it over
- 7:20Speaker 1: there's too much drama, Send it through a relative, Give
- 7:23Speaker 1: it to a mama, give it to her sister, ask
- 7:25Speaker 1: her to take it over there and do something for
- 7:27Speaker 1: the baby, because okay, okay, you can't deal with the drama.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I got that, and I know it's much to pay
- 7:33Speaker 1: when you had to deal with that, because clearly I
- 7:36Speaker 1: know hell have no fury like a woman scoring Please know.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I know that, Please know. And that's a real statement.
- 7:43Speaker 1: That ain't no saying. Steve got that, that's the truth.
- 7:47Speaker 1: But do what you gotta do. Sometimes you have to apologize.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Sometimes an apology goes a long way to your children.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Just hey, look, because I've made this apology before. Hey man, look,
- 8:02Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I wasn't there for you. I was out
- 8:05Speaker 1: grinding and hustling and I wasn't paying attention to you,
- 8:09Speaker 1: and I should have been. And I apologize now. I imagine, man,
- 8:13Speaker 1: there's days where you was telling people I was your
- 8:15Speaker 1: father up at the school and they wasn't believing you.
- 8:17Speaker 1: I apologize for sending you through that. But now, man,
- 8:21Speaker 1: I tell you what, I made some mistakes, and I
- 8:25Speaker 1: got it together. I want me and you to move
- 8:27Speaker 1: forward as father and son. I want me and you
- 8:29Speaker 1: to move forward as father and daughter. I want to
- 8:32Speaker 1: be in your life now. I ain't got a lot,
- 8:34Speaker 1: but guess what I know a lot, because if you're
- 8:37Speaker 1: a man and you a father, please know you know
- 8:39Speaker 1: something that child don't know. You have information, you have experience.
- 8:43Speaker 1: That's all they need sometimes to have somebody to talk to.
- 8:47Speaker 1: That daughter yours just needs to know from her daddy,
- 8:51Speaker 1: how should a man treat me? Dad? What should I
- 8:55Speaker 1: look for in a man? See, they'll take that information
- 8:58Speaker 1: from you because they know it's coming from the right place.
- 9:01Speaker 1: And then you know that your son needs you because
- 9:04Speaker 1: you know how difficult it is if you're trying to
- 9:07Speaker 1: be a man without your daddy. You already know how
- 9:10Speaker 1: funky that is right there. So come on, man, admit
- 9:14Speaker 1: your mistakes and move forward. Call your kids, write a letter,
- 9:18Speaker 1: get a phone number on them, send a text, drop
- 9:21Speaker 1: a message, send a note up to the school. Do something. Man.
- 9:26Speaker 1: If those of us that are fathers would just be fathers,
- 9:31Speaker 1: I could shut the mentory and camp down. Now. I
- 9:36Speaker 1: will say I apologize because I don't want you to
- 9:38Speaker 1: think I'm coming down on you. But I've been through
- 9:40Speaker 1: this myself. I ain't really coming down. I'm just reminding
- 9:43Speaker 1: you this is our job. These are our children, this
- 9:47Speaker 1: is our responsibility. We are men. There is no excuses
- 9:52Speaker 1: you don't get, you don't get. Cut a break on
- 9:54Speaker 1: that one. Sorry, you're listening ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,

- 12:58Speaker 1: in French you can buy it's a delicacy. I'll tell
- 13:00Speaker 1: you right now, it ain't a delicac. Does it smell
- 13:06Speaker 1: like a delicacy? Ignorant ass slave talk behavior that we
- 13:13Speaker 1: should have gotten out of a long, long time ago,
- 13:17Speaker 1: and I held on for thirty five years, almost forty
- 13:22Speaker 1: some with some hot so I have no field. Corona cole,

- 14:08Speaker 1: KFC has a new item on their menu. It's two
- 14:14Speaker 1: glazed donuts with a piece of fried chicken between them. Um,
- 14:21Speaker 1: it looks so good. I just wonder will you be
- 14:24Speaker 1: one of the ones that will uh partake in in
- 14:28Speaker 1: that new um item at KFC? What if I wanted
- 14:32Speaker 1: a heart attack like by Christmas? Yeah? I don't, I don't,
- 14:43Speaker 1: but you know what I know? It's good. Yeah, it's
- 14:48Speaker 1: so good. Damn it. No, it's good. Huh, but probably
- 14:55Speaker 1: won't Cairo, so at least I won't get it this weekend.
- 15:00Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna get it this weekend, but I
- 15:01Speaker 1: may not eat the whole thing I do want to take.
- 15:03Speaker 1: You know that's gonna be held, especially if you got
- 15:05Speaker 1: big lips, You're gonna have glaze and grease on your limp.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Talk about that all y'all with lips like blazes, greasy glaze. Yeah,
- 15:24Speaker 1: you know it's black people. They black people don't even
- 15:26Speaker 1: know what corona is yet. But if you look in

- 15:38Speaker 1: Next question? All right, come on you and you got one.
- 15:41Speaker 1: All right, I'm having a situation. I think you probably
- 15:43Speaker 1: expert at this. Yeah, somebody owe me some money, right, Oh,
- 15:48Speaker 1: go ahead? Yeah, And I just want to back the day.
- 15:52Speaker 1: What was probably the craziest thing you've done to get
- 15:54Speaker 1: your money? Back? Set on his porch? Whoa set on
- 15:59Speaker 1: his porch? Even if you come out the back door,
- 16:01Speaker 1: you got to come around front because he had a
- 16:04Speaker 1: German shepherd next door, so he couldn't climb the fence
- 16:06Speaker 1: and go down the street. So I knew his ass
- 16:08Speaker 1: had to come around. Yeah, I said around it. But
- 16:10Speaker 1: now I still ain't get my money. Oh but we
- 16:13Speaker 1: fought though, ya dog, he told me a dollar one dollar?
- 16:22Speaker 1: You kidding? Still, dog, it's seventy one a dollar, partner,
- 16:27Speaker 1: a dollar, And then you said you give it to
- 16:31Speaker 1: me Friday. It's sat, it's Monday. I ain't got my
- 16:34Speaker 1: money yet. Oh no, a partner, No, me and your
- 16:38Speaker 1: ass been to throw hands. Oh okay over a dollar. Okay,
- 16:43Speaker 1: meant something to you back then? Everything a dollar back
- 16:47Speaker 1: then was equivalent. Right now, that dollar the equivalent to
- 16:52Speaker 1: about five hundred thousand right now, what I thought you
- 16:57Speaker 1: could say like ten dollars something? That dollar meant something
- 17:05Speaker 1: to me back then. I'm talking about man, I didn't
- 17:08Speaker 1: have that dollars like, oh, when you five hundred thousand
- 17:11Speaker 1: today today? Now, I'm not gonna jump on you about
- 17:16Speaker 1: this money today because I can't. But back then, one
- 17:20Speaker 1: of us is getting my ass whipped today about this dollar,
- 17:23Speaker 1: you know. And I didn't really do well in the
- 17:25Speaker 1: fight either. I really can't say I wanted to fight.
- 17:29Speaker 1: But somebody today he's getting the asship about this dollar today.
- 17:35Speaker 1: And I mean that. Yeah, are you ready for my reading? Yeah?
- 17:42Speaker 1: What set of items could you buy that would make
- 17:47Speaker 1: the cashier the most uncomfortable at a story. You say
- 17:54Speaker 1: something baby all see condoms? What else? And a pacify? Everybody,
- 18:11Speaker 1: it's gonna be on com what everybody? Everybody's lying gonna
- 18:17Speaker 1: start itching? Why is this grown ass man got some
- 18:24Speaker 1: baby awesome condoms and a pacify? But I got on
- 18:30Speaker 1: the track top, so the ain't no baby nowhere? Right,
- 18:36Speaker 1: you got on the taptop? Hold up? She ranging it up, ma'am?
- 18:41Speaker 1: Could your hair up? She waiting your hair up? She wait?
- 18:51Speaker 1: All right, let's let's keep with the grocery star. Steve. Please,
- 18:55Speaker 1: you're in the grocery store. What are your most must
- 18:58Speaker 1: have items in your basket? What do you have to
- 19:01Speaker 1: have if you go to the grocery store. If I
- 19:06Speaker 1: go to the grocery store, gotta have it. I gotta
- 19:11Speaker 1: have some probably some old bay season okay, okay. Uh,
- 19:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna need a slab of baby backs. Okay, slab
- 19:24Speaker 1: of baby backs, some old baby and I'm gonna need
- 19:27Speaker 1: all some luminum fall. So you put the seafood seasoning
- 19:33Speaker 1: on the ribs. Uh no, what now that go? Corn? Oh? Okay,
- 19:42Speaker 1: oh okay, okay, okay, So that's your meal? Okay, yeah,
- 19:46Speaker 1: all right, all right, thank you, good answer. All right, Okay,
- 19:53Speaker 1: here go. You can fill in right now for one
- 19:55Speaker 1: of your favorite bands. If the least sink of a

- 21:43Speaker 1: I'm sure you do a lot of people. But yeah,
- 21:45Speaker 1: I was about to say I do a lot. I
- 21:46Speaker 1: can't really pinpoint a name like that. You said it
- 21:49Speaker 1: was about a couple of years ago, two three year
- 21:52Speaker 1: up between two and between two and three years ago.
- 21:54Speaker 1: You you baptized my little girl and my son. O God,
- 21:57Speaker 1: I bless on that. I'm I'm glad I was able
- 21:59Speaker 1: to do that. Servously. I was wondering, how did you
- 22:02Speaker 1: get my number? Using anything like this? You usually get
- 22:05Speaker 1: handled with the church, you know, one of my deacons
- 22:08Speaker 1: or my secretary. But uh uh did you um call
- 22:12Speaker 1: the church and they gave you my number? Um? This
- 22:16Speaker 1: this guy at the church, let me see, his name

- 22:30Speaker 1: reach you. Now you know him right, he's one of
- 22:32Speaker 1: your deacons. Brother, I tried. That's a good man right there.
- 22:36Speaker 1: I know him many years. Okay him, my rooson for
- 22:39Speaker 1: wanting to talk to you directly. Okay, Like I said,
- 22:42Speaker 1: you baptized my little girl Taylor and my son Kareem.
- 22:46Speaker 1: What a baptizing exposed to be? You cleansing them and
- 22:51Speaker 1: you watching them. Problem here my problems. You baptize my kids,
- 22:56Speaker 1: but there ain't nothing changed. They they grade still back.
- 23:00Speaker 1: He still didn't coveting it. I don't see where your
- 23:03Speaker 1: back look. But if you don't him, if you just
- 23:09Speaker 1: let me spend it, I don't see where your baptid
- 23:11Speaker 1: has done anything I spent when I was there. I
- 23:16Speaker 1: want that money back now now. Okay, now you conxcuse me.
- 23:20Speaker 1: I'm not sure. I think you know we need to
- 23:23Speaker 1: stop this madness right now because you're talking about your
- 23:26Speaker 1: money back baptime. I'm more like with baptis your kids.
- 23:30Speaker 1: I've been at this church for many years, so I
- 23:33Speaker 1: won't doubt that I'm probably the pastor you you're looking for.
- 23:37Speaker 1: But I just don't understand what you're trying to get
- 23:40Speaker 1: at here about the baptism. Did I'm saying you're supposed
- 23:44Speaker 1: when when when people get baptied, they're supposed to change
- 23:47Speaker 1: them cleansing. Okay, I see, yeah, it's pleases them. But
- 23:52Speaker 1: if my kids are let me let me ask you.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I'm just trying to brother, I'm just just trying to
- 23:57Speaker 1: get to the bottom of this, you know what I mean,
- 23:58Speaker 1: because she's like, I don't when we've my church, I
- 24:01Speaker 1: can't understand how you got my numbers. The bottom of
- 24:05Speaker 1: it is, yo, Yo, baptizing ain't doing nothing. My kids
- 24:10Speaker 1: were still grade band, they still this over well that
- 24:14Speaker 1: why they haven't been coming to church. You said you're
- 24:16Speaker 1: not going to any congregation. Maybe you guys need to
- 24:18Speaker 1: come on back to church sitting or some sermons. You know.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I even work with your one on one, But um,
- 24:24Speaker 1: I can't. I can't do nothing about the grades in school.
- 24:28Speaker 1: I mean and and and and overall that when you
- 24:32Speaker 1: when you have to, damn, I should see a change
- 24:35Speaker 1: in them. And I don't see a change. But all
- 24:39Speaker 1: I was going to your church. I'm paying for these tithes.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Well I'm not getting any hey man, all at the
- 24:44Speaker 1: end of the day, path hand, I want my money back.
- 24:47Speaker 1: That's what that's what we have. That brother, David, That's
- 24:50Speaker 1: not how it worked. Brother, you hit you understand I'm
- 24:53Speaker 1: not I'm not trying to raise my voice at you.
- 24:55Speaker 1: But you y'a all over the y'all over the place.
- 24:57Speaker 1: You want money back. I don't understand what can I
- 25:00Speaker 1: do for you. I can tell you now, know you
- 25:01Speaker 1: what you can do my kids. And I hadn't got
- 25:04Speaker 1: a baptized over there with you all that time. I
- 25:06Speaker 1: want your church. I'm paying knet time and playing knee tis,
- 25:09Speaker 1: playing Kni ta, and I get my kids baptized. And
- 25:12Speaker 1: but the high is gonna have nothing to do with
- 25:14Speaker 1: the baptism. The time had something to do with all
- 25:18Speaker 1: this path I spit over there, and I'm not getting anything, brother,
- 25:22Speaker 1: And that's what you call all in the world. Am
- 25:24Speaker 1: I gonna figure out how much cord you can? I
- 25:27Speaker 1: know you think about that, and I know exactly. No, no, no, no,
- 25:31Speaker 1: you're hauling my home with this nonsense. You're not even
- 25:33Speaker 1: a number of congregation, and I just don't like it.
- 25:37Speaker 1: So who do you think your boys just because you're
- 25:41Speaker 1: gonna do go you're a man of the club. Don't
- 25:43Speaker 1: mean that that's because I'm a man raised guy. Don't
- 25:46Speaker 1: mean I can't cut your out. You understand that. Brother.
- 25:49Speaker 1: If there's something you need to deal with, you need
- 25:50Speaker 1: to talk to people at the church. Why do I
- 25:52Speaker 1: need to talk for brother dogs when I'm talking to
- 25:56Speaker 1: the problem right now. You're a problem, Bass, I'm a problem.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I sut a bunch of tide money and I won't
- 26:02Speaker 1: I know exactly how much I spent over there, and
- 26:04Speaker 1: I want my money back. Brother? About that? That's what
- 26:08Speaker 1: I care about? Your time? So I said, Yo, Tid,
- 26:12Speaker 1: want me to spell it out? Oh, well, here, kids

- 26:22Speaker 1: your kids your back, Tid. That's the question you need
- 26:25Speaker 1: to be asking. Is you living your life think to five? Huh?
- 26:29Speaker 1: You know what? You know what? Brothers? I didn't got
- 26:33Speaker 1: out beside myself, and I'm sorry, brothers. I should not

- 35:52Speaker 1: about it right after this you're listening show In Trending News,
- 35:58Speaker 1: Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi towards San Francisco's Chinatown
- 36:02Speaker 1: on Monday to send a message, Well, Steve. She said,
- 36:06Speaker 1: there's no reason tourists or locals should be staying away
- 36:09Speaker 1: from the area because of the coronavirus concerns. That's what
- 36:13Speaker 1: we're doing, That's what we're trying to do today, is
- 36:16Speaker 1: to say everything is fine here. Nancy Pelosi said, come
- 36:20Speaker 1: because precautions have been taken, the city is on top
- 36:23Speaker 1: of the situation. Pelosi did say she was concerned that
- 36:27Speaker 1: President Trump's budget cuts nineteen percent of funding for the
- 36:31Speaker 1: Center for Disease Control and Prevention. However, as we told
- 36:35Speaker 1: you before, President Trump says Americans should rest assured that
- 36:39Speaker 1: he'll do whatever is necessary to keep people protected from
- 36:42Speaker 1: the coronavirus. He says he's also ready to send or
- 36:47Speaker 1: to spend whatever is needed to do that. The President
- 36:50Speaker 1: called the risk low, crediting travel restrictions in place. He
- 36:55Speaker 1: also point put Vice President Mike Pence in charge of
- 36:59Speaker 1: the response. The number of national cases has jumped to
- 37:02Speaker 1: sixty At last check, just over eighty two thousand people
- 37:06Speaker 1: have been infected by the virus. Worldwide. Twenty eight hundred
- 37:10Speaker 1: people have died. Significant numbers there, eighty two thousand. Wow. Yeah,
- 37:16Speaker 1: he just has to. Yeah, take for caution and be
- 37:19Speaker 1: very very careful. They're telling you to wash your hands
- 37:23Speaker 1: a lot, a lot a lot. Yeah, wash your hands,
- 37:26Speaker 1: be careful. I mean that's one of the things you
- 37:27Speaker 1: can do. Just be careful. Yeah. Well, you know this plane. Yeah,
- 37:32Speaker 1: that's how you feel traveling internationally and everything. I'm child
- 37:39Speaker 1: of God. I'm covering. Okay, I feel no man, but God,
- 37:45Speaker 1: I mean, I'm gonna be careful. I see somebody there
- 37:52Speaker 1: is a plane. Are you getting your ass off the plane?
- 37:56Speaker 1: If you call for sneeze, you're off this damn play
- 38:01Speaker 1: especially sneeze. Yeah. Yeah, you better wait till we end
- 38:03Speaker 1: the forty five thousand feet or something, because you do
- 38:06Speaker 1: it on the ground. If we tax it and you call,
- 38:09Speaker 1: you ask yourself this. I don't care if I hear
- 38:13Speaker 1: it from way in the back. Come on, let's go,
- 38:19Speaker 1: setty false seat, Come on, how are we still on
- 38:24Speaker 1: the air. How rong. I heard your ask, comfing, let's go.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Got no time to working with this man for twenty years.
- 38:36Speaker 1: How oh, I'm no heard the call. That's crazy. All right,
- 38:44Speaker 1: so Steve, you got him off the plane. Now you
- 38:46Speaker 1: can rest easy and go back to sleep. Coming off
- 38:50Speaker 1: to look at to Cairo. All right. Well, listen, Steve,
- 38:53Speaker 1: coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour, you're
- 38:56Speaker 1: gonna read another email we got from a listener right
- 38:59Speaker 1: after this. You're listening. So, Steve, it was this time
- 39:05Speaker 1: yesterday that you read a letter from a listener. She
- 39:08Speaker 1: was coming for you because of a response you gave
- 39:11Speaker 1: in the Strawberry letter the previous day concerning a man
- 39:15Speaker 1: who wanted to divorce his wife because she had recently
- 39:18Speaker 1: become a Trump supporter. All right, well we got a
- 39:22Speaker 1: response to the response from the response, so you have
- 39:26Speaker 1: it from the Yeah. I was going through the Steve
- 39:30Speaker 1: Harley film and I ran across from emails because you know,
- 39:34Speaker 1: like for me, I just responded, I ain't even get
- 39:37Speaker 1: mad yesterday at the ladies response. But I mean, what
- 39:41Speaker 1: you want me to do? You know, I tell jokes
- 39:43Speaker 1: for a living. You know a lot of people don't
- 39:45Speaker 1: know that I was a stand up because they just
- 39:47Speaker 1: know me from family fused, but this is what I've
- 39:50Speaker 1: been doing, and so I was just happening to be
- 39:52Speaker 1: going through the emails, and well I found a bunch
- 39:55Speaker 1: of them, most of them I can't read on the
- 39:58Speaker 1: airl Steve Harvey Nation came to my defense, but just
- 40:06Speaker 1: let me grable one or two of them. Here, Steve Shirley,
- 40:09Speaker 1: food number one and food number two. Carler and Junior,
- 40:16Speaker 1: enjoy the damn day and continue blessing and uplifting your listeners.
- 40:21Speaker 1: I usually don't get involved in things people say in
- 40:24Speaker 1: regards to the Strawberry letter. They are entertainment and should
- 40:28Speaker 1: be taken as such. This one seemed to bother me
- 40:31Speaker 1: more than I would have expected. Not the letter itself,
- 40:35Speaker 1: but the response of this Republican lady slash family. Yes,
- 40:40Speaker 1: I think she's an undercover Republican trying to hide in
- 40:44Speaker 1: plain sight. Why else would she defend him as she has?
- 40:48Speaker 1: He fired people who leaked info. He's a great politician.
- 40:52Speaker 1: What the hell has she been doing since this tweet?
- 40:55Speaker 1: The oologists made his appearance. Look here, lady uncle slogist. Yeah,
- 41:02Speaker 1: look here, lady uncle Steve parentheses if I may in
- 41:06Speaker 1: this distance a nephew and surely have no reason to
- 41:10Speaker 1: prepare an apology. I'm not saying that I want you
- 41:14Speaker 1: to lose any listeners, but I don't think eight monkeys
- 41:17Speaker 1: will stop this show. The next time somebody writes in
- 41:20Speaker 1: with this foolishness, I'll be screaming the same thing with you.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Leave her ass, leave her ass up down national radio
- 41:30Speaker 1: with this BS. Listen, laugh and appreciate. That's what she
- 41:35Speaker 1: should have done. Okay to the response of a response,
- 41:40Speaker 1: The lady responded to the Strawberry letter because she was mad.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Because Steve told the lady and the Strawberry Letter and
- 41:46Speaker 1: her husband to divorce. Because the man said right, he
- 41:50Speaker 1: went to see a lawyer. He thinking about divorcing her, right,
- 41:54Speaker 1: so go ahead. Problems at her now. She was causing
- 41:59Speaker 1: major problems at home. She was spending money donating to
- 42:02Speaker 1: a Trump campaign. She had joined the Black Republicans. She
- 42:06Speaker 1: was just acting crazy. He didn't like the fact that
- 42:08Speaker 1: she spent the money, and he told her. She told
- 42:11Speaker 1: him if he didn't like it, he could leave, so
- 42:13Speaker 1: she started it. Then he saw a lawyer to talk
- 42:17Speaker 1: about divorce because he didn't want to deal with it.
- 42:20Speaker 1: This is an election year. He knew he was going
- 42:23Speaker 1: to have to hear this all the way all the year,
- 42:26Speaker 1: throughout November, so he didn't want to deal with it,
- 42:29Speaker 1: and so me not carry I said, divorce her ass?
- 42:34Speaker 1: Why because I don't care what. It's a strawberry letter,
- 42:40Speaker 1: if you really man. Half the time I answer these
- 42:45Speaker 1: letters is for entertainment value. Usually eighty five percent of
- 42:50Speaker 1: the letters I respond to it just for entertainment. Only
- 42:53Speaker 1: time I take sass when a young young man boy
- 42:57Speaker 1: teenager called in and wants some advice or young girl. Yeah,
- 43:01Speaker 1: because you know a lot a lot of people that
- 43:03Speaker 1: you know may not have a father or uncle or something,
- 43:06Speaker 1: so I gotta play a different role. But if you've
- 43:08Speaker 1: grown and y'all in, y'all fittage, and she putting Trump
- 43:11Speaker 1: signs up in your yard and you're taking them down,
- 43:13Speaker 1: and she putting them back up, and she didn't told
- 43:15Speaker 1: you she want to leave you, lay well, you see
- 43:20Speaker 1: it again. You're doubling down, up, apologize. Trumpton coming up.

- 44:26Speaker 1: don't matter to me. I'm pranking in it. Run a cat. Hello, Hey,
- 44:32Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Dorsey. Yeah, this is it this
- 44:35Speaker 1: cliff Man. I work at the post office with your wife. Yeah.

- 44:49Speaker 1: you got a minute, You got a minute? Yes, everything
- 44:52Speaker 1: all right with my wife? Or something wrong or something? No? No, no, no,
- 44:55Speaker 1: no no no. Your wife good, man, Your wife's good.
- 44:57Speaker 1: I wanted to hit you up. Man. We've been working
- 44:59Speaker 1: the post office quite a while. We've probably been in
- 45:01Speaker 1: the same room a few times. Man. I don't know
- 45:03Speaker 1: if you remember meeting me or not, but uh, okay, okay.
- 45:06Speaker 1: But what I wanted to say, man, is trying to
- 45:09Speaker 1: do better with my life, dog, and you know, just
- 45:11Speaker 1: just trying to do better, you know what I'm saying.
- 45:13Speaker 1: So you know, for Lent, Man, I gave up a
- 45:17Speaker 1: few things. You know what I'm saying. I just thought
- 45:20Speaker 1: that would be a good thing, man, to try to
- 45:22Speaker 1: do the things that matter the most that you're addicted to,
- 45:25Speaker 1: you know, you want to get rid of, you know
- 45:27Speaker 1: what I'm saying, at least for Lent is what I'm
- 45:29Speaker 1: trying to do. You feel me? Okay, I'm kind of confused.
- 45:32Speaker 1: But what they got to do with me, well, basically, man,
- 45:37Speaker 1: I'm giving up for lent. You know, I decided to
- 45:41Speaker 1: give up messing around with your wife, you know, because
- 45:47Speaker 1: because who hold on? Man, hold on, Man, I'm at work.
- 45:52Speaker 1: I don't know what you come back, but back up
- 45:55Speaker 1: and rephrase everything you just said. Well, like I said, Man,
- 45:58Speaker 1: for Lent, I'm trying. I'm trying to give up stuff
- 46:02Speaker 1: that I'm that I'm addicted to, you know, And I
- 46:04Speaker 1: just decided that what they got to do with me
- 46:06Speaker 1: and my wife though, and you well, that's what I'm
- 46:08Speaker 1: trying to tell you. Man, I'm trying to give up
- 46:10Speaker 1: messing around with your wife for Lynn. I mean, that's
- 46:12Speaker 1: what I help giving up. I've given up messing around
- 46:15Speaker 1: with your wife for Lynn. Man, we're talking about man,
- 46:18Speaker 1: messing around with my wife? Man, got no time for
- 46:21Speaker 1: no games right now? Who this man? Like? What's your
- 46:24Speaker 1: name again? This is Cliff Man. I actually worked with
- 46:27Speaker 1: her for the last ten twelve years. But but what
- 46:30Speaker 1: I wanted to really let you know is, you know,
- 46:32Speaker 1: her schedule probably gonna change because what we used to
- 46:34Speaker 1: be doing we ain't doing. So she's probably gonna be
- 46:37Speaker 1: coming home a little bit earlier, things like that. But
- 46:39Speaker 1: I don't I don't want you getting addicted to it,
- 46:41Speaker 1: because you know, after Lynn is over, then you know,
- 46:45Speaker 1: we'll be back what we used to do. Man, what
- 46:47Speaker 1: is you talking about? Man? Hold on my wife's going
- 46:50Speaker 1: to be home in a minute. We're gonna talk about
- 46:52Speaker 1: all the yep with me. Man, I'm about to go.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Hold on, what what are you? Are you in the
- 46:57Speaker 1: city right now? Can I can? I meet with you
- 46:59Speaker 1: right now? Cliff? Right? Okay? But what I'm what I'm
- 47:02Speaker 1: trying to say, Well, like I'm saying, I'm trying to
- 47:03Speaker 1: do better, you know, I gave up trying to do better.
- 47:06Speaker 1: That sound like a bunch of to me. I got
- 47:08Speaker 1: something for you and my wife? True? Okay, Okay, okay, man,
- 47:12Speaker 1: I mean, ain't you feeling me? Don't trying to do better? Though?
- 47:15Speaker 1: I ain't feeling the thing you calling me telling me
- 47:18Speaker 1: my wife. I think we need to meet up and
- 47:20Speaker 1: talk about this face to face. Cliff, What you think?
- 47:22Speaker 1: I mean? We talked right now. If you want to
- 47:24Speaker 1: have a conversation, Na, No, no, you just tell me
- 47:28Speaker 1: your address and me and my wife's gonna just come
- 47:30Speaker 1: on over there. How about that and we all sit
- 47:33Speaker 1: down and have a little power I don't know who
- 47:36Speaker 1: thank you is, man, but me and my wife been
- 47:38Speaker 1: together over fifteen years and we ain't never had no
- 47:41Speaker 1: problems with no like this like you telling me on
- 47:44Speaker 1: this phone. It sounds like a bunch of crazy to me.
- 47:48Speaker 1: But somebody knick gonna today if true. So what you
- 47:52Speaker 1: need to do? You need to tell me your name,
- 47:54Speaker 1: your number, and I don't know why you called from
- 47:57Speaker 1: this block phone, but you hit me. Hey man, I'm
- 48:00Speaker 1: hearing you. Man, what I'm saying, the reason for the
- 48:03Speaker 1: call was to let you know, you know, don't get
- 48:05Speaker 1: used to her schedule because after Lyn it's gonna be
- 48:08Speaker 1: back to the way it used to beat. That's all
- 48:10Speaker 1: the phone call. Man, What the he's you talking about? Well?
- 48:14Speaker 1: Getting uh not? What what's your what's your what's your
- 48:16Speaker 1: what's your last name? Cliff? I'm gonna come find you.
- 48:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna come see you now, Jack. My name is Cliff.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Like I say, I work at the Cliff and I
- 48:24Speaker 1: work at the post I was with. So okay, Well,
- 48:26Speaker 1: how come you call from a block number, Cliff? What's
- 48:29Speaker 1: your phone number? Man? Hey, hey man, listen, I'm not
- 48:32Speaker 1: trying to have no confrontation with you. Man, it's already
- 48:35Speaker 1: a confrontation. You can call my phone from a block number.
- 48:39Speaker 1: I don't know you, you don't know me, and you're
- 48:41Speaker 1: telling me you be my wife? Are you serious? Did
- 48:45Speaker 1: you know she was married. I mean what you mean
- 48:48Speaker 1: did you know he was married? Yes? Or no? I
- 48:50Speaker 1: mean yeah, I know? I mean yeah, I knew she
- 48:52Speaker 1: was married. Okay, what dad is you knew that from
- 48:55Speaker 1: the jump, So that means you've been disrespecting me from
- 48:58Speaker 1: the jump. So now I acted getting your na you
- 49:01Speaker 1: just ConTroll off on yourself. So here regardless, I'm coming
- 49:05Speaker 1: to see you today, Jack. Hey, and my name ain't
- 49:07Speaker 1: Jack Man. My name Clip, but you're not. I'm not
- 49:10Speaker 1: look here, I don't have no I'm not trying to
- 49:12Speaker 1: have no confrontation. I just wanted you to be aware
- 49:15Speaker 1: of the schedule. Yeah, okay, I'm definitely aware. Not Clip.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Who then is you man? Another thing? Man? I want
- 49:21Speaker 1: to see? Like, I know, I know your tattoo on
- 49:24Speaker 1: your name on her lower back. I've seen that. Uh
- 49:27Speaker 1: it's say Dorsey right there? Whoa whoa, whoa, whoa whoa whoa?
- 49:30Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on, man, you're telling me you haven't
- 49:33Speaker 1: seen the tattoo on her back? Is that what you talk?
- 49:36Speaker 1: Her lower back? Man? Right right right right on above
- 49:39Speaker 1: a tail phone. Yeah, I've seen it, Dorsy your name Dorsey?
- 49:42Speaker 1: Right man? Who the is this man? What's your real name.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Hey man, they calm down, man, are you Are you
- 49:49Speaker 1: cool with you call my phone? Are you school with
- 49:53Speaker 1: the schedule changing? That is what I'm asking. What are
- 49:56Speaker 1: you cool with her schedule change? And you see what
- 49:58Speaker 1: I'm saying, her schedule are gonna come back the normal
- 50:00Speaker 1: once lit is old with I gave up messing around
- 50:03Speaker 1: with him for Lid, but not for you. Man, I'm
- 50:06Speaker 1: not cool with the thing. I'm about to be cool
- 50:08Speaker 1: in your face in a minute. Now, tell me your name,
- 50:11Speaker 1: tell me your number and your real address, and we're
- 50:14Speaker 1: gonna talk about our lives in person. Okay, all right,
- 50:17Speaker 1: what my name? What's your name? My name? Tommy? Man? Okay,
- 50:22Speaker 1: now we're getting somewhere, Temmy. What I mean? I mean
- 50:26Speaker 1: while you need my last name because I'm gonna come
- 50:29Speaker 1: see you. What you mean why I need your last name?
- 50:32Speaker 1: Hold on? Hold on? Somebody to get in you on
- 50:35Speaker 1: the phone. Hey, hold on, don't go nowhere. We're gonna
- 50:37Speaker 1: get in you on the phone right now, and we're
- 50:39Speaker 1: gonna settle this right now. Hold on, you're on the phone,
- 50:43Speaker 1: color color for real? Yep, Tommy, who what you're scared up? Okay? Man?
- 50:48Speaker 1: They call me nephew Tommy. Oh who my name? Nephew
- 50:52Speaker 1: Tommy from Steve Harvey Morning Show. What No, she didn't
- 51:04Speaker 1: set me up? Man, Man, your wife got me the prank.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Call you man, she tells yourself. I left. I just
- 51:09Speaker 1: left the house. Called him. That's why ain't asking the phone.
- 51:16Speaker 1: It was over for you man. Y'all come on, man,
- 51:19Speaker 1: y'all wrong for this man. This needs to be against
- 51:21Speaker 1: the law. Man, Man, I gotta ask you, baby, what's
- 51:25Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land? Man, Steve Harley Morning?
- 51:30Speaker 1: So I guess huhn, Junior, what's up? I didn't found
- 51:41Speaker 1: another email? Okay, here that's a good prank time. Here
- 51:48Speaker 1: here I found another email. This is in response to
- 51:51Speaker 1: the lady. They got mad at me because I told
- 51:53Speaker 1: the man to divorce. The lady kept putting the Trump
- 51:55Speaker 1: signs up in the yard they married. He tired them. Anyway.
- 51:58Speaker 1: This lady said, I listen to your show every morning.
- 52:01Speaker 1: Here Savannah Georgia. Even something. Now, I'm gonna read it
- 52:05Speaker 1: just like it's written, y'all, even something twice. I am
- 52:09Speaker 1: responded to the letter lady that wrote in and said
- 52:13Speaker 1: she and six more listeners don't listen to your show
- 52:16Speaker 1: no more. Well, I'm with you, who give a damn
- 52:20Speaker 1: if she and the other don't listen to your show? Well,
- 52:24Speaker 1: maybe they are upset because their husband left, they funker
- 52:28Speaker 1: ass because they support Trump, and little do they know,
- 52:32Speaker 1: Trump don't give a rats about them anyway. So with
- 52:36Speaker 1: that being said, how they feel and what they eat
- 52:40Speaker 1: don't make you all me sugar hunted iced tea anyway.
- 52:45Speaker 1: So I hope somebody run and tell them a good
- 52:48Speaker 1: listener a show saying we don't give a flying rats
- 52:53Speaker 1: about either man. Thank y'all for just having these rich
- 52:58Speaker 1: moments for me. Coming out next, it is the Strawberry
- 53:01Speaker 1: Letter for today. We'll get into its subject, my love
- 53:04Speaker 1: life took an ugly turn. Right after this. You're listening
- 53:08Speaker 1: to Morning show Time now for today's Strawberry Letter, Steven.

- 53:24Speaker 1: want to add to that Steve Yeah Higg or another
- 53:27Speaker 1: email I found right this has got something to do
- 53:32Speaker 1: with the Strawberry Letter. This, somebody said. Steve gave his
- 53:36Speaker 1: opinion something he gets paid to do with which he
- 53:40Speaker 1: has vast experience. I would ask Miss Anguish, that's parentheses
- 53:45Speaker 1: angry plus anguish, do you get paid to give your opinion? Fourth,
- 53:51Speaker 1: Because Miss Anguish decided to no longer tune in to
- 53:55Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show parentheses, which we all know
- 53:58Speaker 1: is not going to land as long, I will in
- 54:01Speaker 1: the meantime tune in via my car radio and my
- 54:05Speaker 1: mobile phone simultaneously. And I got a multi case for
- 54:09Speaker 1: my phone, so I got plenty of sale juice. Thank y'all,
- 54:17Speaker 1: your boy, Nah, all right, what's that time? Come on?
- 54:21Speaker 1: We could be reading your letter live on the air,
- 54:24Speaker 1: just like we're gonna read this one, or your response
- 54:26Speaker 1: to a letter you never know, just like this one
- 54:30Speaker 1: right here, right now, all right, everybody's that time? Stile
- 54:34Speaker 1: for the Strawberry Lettle my good friend, Shirley Strawberry, Thank you, junior.
- 54:38Speaker 1: Subject my love life took an early and ugly turn,
- 54:41Speaker 1: Dear Stephen, Shirley, I have a problem and I really
- 54:44Speaker 1: need advice from the guys on the show. Okay, but
- 54:48Speaker 1: miss Shirley, But Miss Shirley, you can take a stab
- 54:51Speaker 1: at it too. I've been single for most of my life,
- 54:54Speaker 1: and I finally figured out why I am a twenty
- 54:58Speaker 1: eight year old man, never meant married, no kids, and
- 55:01Speaker 1: I own my own home. I make really good money,
- 55:04Speaker 1: and I have a leadership position at my job. My
- 55:08Speaker 1: problem is that I'm starting to realize that I'm not
- 55:12Speaker 1: the most handsome guy in the world. Okay, anybody, Yeah,
- 55:19Speaker 1: I'm not hideous. I'm not hideous, but I don't have
- 55:23Speaker 1: the characteristics that attract women that I'm equally yoked with.
- 55:27Speaker 1: When I meet women, I feel like I should tell
- 55:30Speaker 1: them everything about me just to pique their interest. I
- 55:33Speaker 1: assume that if they know I'm well paid and successful,
- 55:37Speaker 1: they will like me. That hasn't worked, so now I'm
- 55:40Speaker 1: trying to I'm going to try online dating. I commend
- 55:44Speaker 1: the guys on the show for accepting that they're not handsome,
- 55:48Speaker 1: because I'm having a hard time facing the truth again. Anybody, Yeah, okay,
- 55:54Speaker 1: all right, I'm ready. That's what I was waiting. Un Steve,
- 56:02Speaker 1: come on, I am ready to date online, and I
- 56:13Speaker 1: need a profile picture and a bio because the photo
- 56:16Speaker 1: I posted hasn't worked at all. I am in shape,
- 56:21Speaker 1: but I could stand to go to the gym, but
- 56:23Speaker 1: I'm a likable guy. I've been on a day on
- 56:26Speaker 1: one date with a lady I met online and she
- 56:28Speaker 1: lied on her profile and the picture she posted did
- 56:31Speaker 1: not look anything like her people talk. I never called
- 56:36Speaker 1: her back after that date. I do not want to
- 56:39Speaker 1: be the guy that posts a really nice profile picture
- 56:42Speaker 1: online and when I show up to meet the woman,
- 56:44Speaker 1: she is disappointed. I'm well groomed, I keep my hair cut,
- 56:48Speaker 1: and I wear nice suits, but I don't get any
- 56:52Speaker 1: second looks from women. I have female friends that have
- 56:55Speaker 1: kept me in the friend zone for years, and now
- 56:58Speaker 1: I know why. This is hurting my self esteem to
- 57:01Speaker 1: a degree. Do you think I can be lucky in
- 57:04Speaker 1: love without pretending to be something I'm not. I hope
- 57:07Speaker 1: you can offer advice. Well, first of all, yeah, yeah,
- 57:12Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, right, Steve, there are plenty of
- 57:15Speaker 1: men who are unattractive, who have beautiful wives, girlfriend significant others. Okay, plenty,
- 57:21Speaker 1: and from the sound of it, you could be one
- 57:25Speaker 1: of those guys. I mean, this is according to you,
- 57:28Speaker 1: you have all the makings. I mean, let's go down
- 57:31Speaker 1: the list. You make really good money, you said, that's
- 57:34Speaker 1: definitely a plus. You have a leadership position at work,
- 57:37Speaker 1: what's wrong with that? You're well groomed. Women love that
- 57:40Speaker 1: you're well dressed. We love that too. And you're not hideous. Okay,
- 57:44Speaker 1: you're not hideous. And you said you're likable. Don't know, okay,
- 57:48Speaker 1: you know what you don't well he I said all
- 57:52Speaker 1: this I said was according to him, that's what I'm
- 57:55Speaker 1: going by what he put in the letter. As always,
- 57:57Speaker 1: plenty of women lying, plenty of women would consider you
- 58:04Speaker 1: with those qualities. Okay, we like security, we like likable guys, leaders, cleanliness,
- 58:10Speaker 1: well dressed men who don't have to be the most handsome.
- 58:13Speaker 1: We like all of that. That's that's a plus. But
- 58:17Speaker 1: with all of this you're working with, um, you just
- 58:21Speaker 1: don't sound like a confident guy. You don't sound confident.
- 58:24Speaker 1: Women like confident men. Okay, you said this is you know,
- 58:29Speaker 1: this is messing with your self esteem to a degree. Well,
- 58:33Speaker 1: you're just twenty eight, so part of you is still
- 58:35Speaker 1: trying to figure life out. Uh you sure you checked
- 58:40Speaker 1: your breath and all of that. You checked all of
- 58:42Speaker 1: that because we don't like that. And the reason I
- 58:44Speaker 1: didn't say that initially is because you said you're well groomed,
- 58:47Speaker 1: You're you're a good groom You're you're well groomed. So um,
- 58:52Speaker 1: I just think you've got to get your confidence up.
- 58:54Speaker 1: I really do. I'm gonna go with that. Get your
- 58:56Speaker 1: confidence up, Steve. All right, here we go. Now. First
- 59:00Speaker 1: of all, brother, listen to me. I'm read I'm talking
- 59:05Speaker 1: to you as another ugly man. This is from a
- 59:08Speaker 1: dude that has struggled with his looks his entire life. See,
- 59:13Speaker 1: first of all, you say you got a problem, you
- 59:16Speaker 1: need to vite you. First of all, you got to
- 59:17Speaker 1: get out of denial. You've been saying on most of
- 59:20Speaker 1: your life. And I figured out why. I'm twenty eight,
- 59:22Speaker 1: never been married, no kids, I own my home, I
- 59:25Speaker 1: make really good money. I got a leadership position to
- 59:27Speaker 1: my job. My problem is I'm starting to realize that
- 59:30Speaker 1: I'm not the most handsome guy in the world. You're
- 59:33Speaker 1: not the most handsome guy in the world. You ain't
- 59:35Speaker 1: even one of them. See that's what your ass got
- 59:39Speaker 1: to wake up and smell this damn coffee. I'm not
- 59:43Speaker 1: the most handsome guy in the world. You ain't even
- 59:46Speaker 1: one of them. Hold on, you ain't now one of them.
- 59:51Speaker 1: We'll have parent two after the hour subject my love
- 59:58Speaker 1: life took an ugly turn. We'll get back into it
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening morning show. All right, Steve,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters subject my love
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: life took an ugly turn. Now, me being an unattractive man,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: I have to tell this man that I've been in
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: this position. So I'm talking from experience. Now, I've been
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: singing most of my life. Figured out why here twenty
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: eight year old man, never been married, no kids, got
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: his own house, make really good money, got a leadership
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: position at his job. My problem is, I'm starting to
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: realize that I'm not one of the most handsome guys
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: in the world. Boy, you ain't now one of them.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: You ain't in the most handsome guys. You is now
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: one of them. Then he said, I'm not hideous. Okay,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: let's stop right here because you might be. First of all,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: well did you get that word from? Where? Did you
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: get the word I'm not hideous? You've heard this before.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: You've heard it somewhere, you've heard hit it. No, no, no,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: somebody said it to him. Somebody said he's hid his still. Yeah,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: that's why he's trying to deny it. I'm not hid it.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: You probably is. But now listen to me, dog, you
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: can still be okay, But I don't have the characteristics
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: that attract women. You got to develop the ones that
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: attract women that I'm equally yoke with. Boy, you bet
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: not to find a woman look like you. But I
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: don't have the d to attract women that i'm equally
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: yoke with. You don't want a woman you equally yoke with.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: You want a woman look way better than your ugly ass.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: When I meet women, I feel like I should tell
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: them everything about me just to pique their entry. Okay,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: that's good. Most dudes do that anyway. I soon know
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: I'm well paid and successful. They're like, get your watch man,
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: fix you watching your shoes. Ugly dudes got to dress nice.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: You can't be ugly and dressed regular. You If you ugly,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: you got to dress exceptional. Thus explains my my commitment
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: to wardrobe. I'm just trying because I know. My mama
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: told me at nine, listen to me, you're not gonna
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: be an attractive man. We don't have attractive men in
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: our family. She told me when I was nine, so
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: I never grew up there. She said, you're not gonna
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: be an attractive man. Look at your dad, I said,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: with damn, well, I guess it's me and I started
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: liking myself for what I was. Now now she said,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna he said, I'm gonna try online, Dayton. I
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: commended guys on the show for accepting that they're not handled.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: That's right. So now what is your team has time?
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: It looked like a damn turtle. I haven't seen that boyfriend.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: He ain't got no jaw line. He go from chin
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: straight down to his chips. Except I like the guys
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: who are accepting that they not handsome. You got to
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: you ain't cute? So what is your dog? Because I'm
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: having a hard time facing the truth? What is you
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: having a hard time for? Why are you man? You
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: ain't got a hard time facing the truth. You got
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: a hard time facing yourself. It's because your ass is ugly.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: But you got to look your uplassing that man. Go man,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: I'm strong, I'm good with I'm everything. A woman looking
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: for you gotta get your game up. Let me teach
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: you something. Let me teach you something to man up.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: You gotta get your mind on manhood. To get your
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: man up, you gotta get your mind up. See, manhood
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: is a mental state. He ain't got nothing to do
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: with how you look. Women looking for good men all
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: the time. Women don't even really like cute ass men
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: because they all of me is chumps. You're a pretty
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: ass man more time in the middle than you need.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: A man that don't want to look at it self long,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: so and get his ass on out of the house
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: and go to work. Now. I'm ready to try online dating,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: and I need a profile picture and a bio because
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: the picture out post it hasn't worked at all. You
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: don't have a good profile photos. You're gonna have a
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: good profile photo on your ass is ugly. Put the
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: picture up, dog, blurrid, blurrid, blurred. You take it out
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: of focus. Him. You know I'm in shape, but I
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: could stand and go to the gym. NW you're fat, Yeah,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: but I'm a likable guy. I've been on one day
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: with a lady I met online and she lied on
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: her profile picture she posted and didn't look anything like her. Okay,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: try to act. I never called her back after the day.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I do not want to be the guy that posts
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: a really nice profile picture. Sir, you don't have a
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: nice profile picture. What did you keep talking for ugly
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: ass people don't have nice profile pictures? Then when I
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: show up to meet the woman, she disappointed. She's gonna
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: be disappointed anyway. I'm well groom. You got to be
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: super groom. I keep my hair cut. I wear nice suits.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: You gotta get ball of suits, nice shirts and time.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: You gotta get a nice watch man. You gotta get
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: nice shoes. You got a nice call, so they want
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: to go see that nice ass house you got yeah, yeah,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: and you gotta act like they missing something. We gotta

- 1:06:44Speaker 1: until nine when my mama said, stopped looking in the mirror.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: You're not fitting to be cute. And at nine, so
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: I've realized I've been ugly now fifty four years, and
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: there is one place that you're really That's what I'm
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: trying to tell you. Man, if somebody gonna love you, well,

- 1:19:26Speaker 1: last break of the day, on this last day of
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: the week for us, this Friday. It's been an impactful week,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: a great week. UM, leave us with some closing remarks,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: you know, Steve, UM, I think that, Um, what I
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: want to share with you is something that prevents so
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: many people from becoming successful. And that thing is called excuses.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: You know, it's it's it's it's amazing how when we
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: want to justify a lack of effort, or we want
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: to justify our procrastination, all we want to justify not
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: doing something we said we were going to do. We
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: want to justify just not getting started. We can come
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: up with some pretty pretty impressive excuses. But you know
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: the thing about an excuse, though, it serves no one
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: except the person that's providing the excuse, the person you're
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: giving the excuse too. It does nothing from them because
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: their level of expectation for you was in place, and
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: the fact that you didn't come through. I mean, how
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: can you possibly think that this person is sitting there going, wow,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: that's great. You didn't come through. Now you're here, Okay,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: well I'm sorry that happened. So when will you get
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: to it? All you're here, it's something like, oh wow, man,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: I didn't know that. And when you walk a guy
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: and when you walk away, that person goes wow. I
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: can't count on them. If you keep giving excuses, then
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: after a while a person just goes I don't believe nothing,
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: he says. And either way, man, the person that you
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: gave the excuse too, I can promise you they don't
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: think as much of you as they did when they
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: first thought you were coming through. Folks, if you could
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: learn to eliminate excuses. You know who taught me not
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: to have excuses. My father follows a strong man man,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: students powerful. To me, it's the greatest dude to help
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: the new. But he taught me about excuses. He says, Son,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: don't ever give me an excuse, because what that ain't
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: gonna do me no good? He said, we ain't got nothing.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: At least you could give me your word, he said,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: we ain't got nothing else. We ain't got too much
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: more than a part to piss in. But if you're
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: gonna give me your word and tell me you're gonna
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: do something, don't give me no excuse instead, because now
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: we ain't got nothing, y'all. If you could eliminate excuses,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: if you could stop the allowing yourself off the hook,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: because that's all it is. The only person you're hurting
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: with these excuses is you. I'll give you an example
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: of how you hurt other people with your excuse. Sister.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: If you have a child and you keep promising your
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: child that you're gonna do so, if you're a dad,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: then you don't live with your child, your boy or
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: your girl, and you tell them you're gonna come by.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: That child is at the window and at the doorway,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: and they got their little bag pack, they got their
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: lunch packs. I'm going with my dad and man on,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: man on man, the disappointment that had that child had
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: when you and then you call in against what you say.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: I had to work, sorry man, but I had to work. Well,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: I got you here to work for guess what, And
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: there's nothing for that child that was waiting on their dad. Yeah,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: I got you got to work. But what they got
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: to do that don't stop the disappointment in the child.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: See excuses, man, they go a long wait many. They
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: do far more damage than you can imagine. So after
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: a while, if you keep doing that to that child,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: and you keep promising your child you're gonna do something,
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: you never do it. Think about that, man, what that
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: does to that child. If you're in a relationship and
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: you keep promising the person you're in a relationship with
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: it you're gonna do something for him, and you never
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: do it. How long you think this relationship gonna las,
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: You gotta do what you say you're gonna do. You
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: can't create excuses. But then the person who really gets
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: damaged to you, because when that child grows up and
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: he can now stand on his own, and he can
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: take his own self somewhere, and he can buy his
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: own clothes, and now you want to come around and hey,
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: that's my son. And then he's old enough to ask
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: you questions. Yeah, I'm your sonbol Where were you when
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: I needed you? Man? Where were you when I was
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: standing in the window? Where were you when I was
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: sitting on the porch man with my lunch box, just
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: looking at every car that went by, hoping that my
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: daddy would finally come through to my mama finally told
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: me coming there off the porch. You see, man, Now
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: you got to deal with that and all in excuses
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: you was giving that boy or that little girl back then.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: It don't mean damn thing to them, you know, man,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: And it stops you so much. See, once you become
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: a person that provides excuses, it ain't just to your children.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: It ain't just to your love one, your lover. It's
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: to your job, it's to your career. And pretty soon
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: you start giving excuses to yourself because it's a pattern
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: of behavior. And you got to break that pattern of
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: behavior because it's a no win situation for you. Stop
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: making excuses, man, Why you just simply do what you
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: say you're gonna do. It's much easier to do that.
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: If you say you're gonna do it, be a man
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: of your word, a woman of your word, and go
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: do it. Period. Now, if you're not gonna do it,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: say that. Be a man of your word on that. See,
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: that's what I do. When somebody asked me to do something,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: I distinctly tell him, amen, I'm not gonna do that.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but I won't be there that way. Ain't
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: no hopeing you're looking for me? Well, he said, he
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: wasn't coming, but I'm gonna see if he come anywhere. No, no, no.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: If I tell you I'm not coming, you're pretty much
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: bank I ain't coming. But if I tell you I'm coming,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: you can look for it, and chances are I'll be there.
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: It would take a lot for me not to do
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: what I say. I'm all right, but all Steve Harvey
