- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: all these coordinator changes.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_01]: Let's bring in our friend.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_01]: One of the great stay in Philadelphia, our friend, a pizon brother from another mother.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_01]: He is Mark Farzada.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate him.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_01]: How are you doing, brother?
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing fantastic, man.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: How you doing?
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of like, you know, like,
- 0:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you're like, you're like a withdrawal, you're going through, you know, you're usually at this place here, you know, the Eagle fans right now, I saw a pole Nike from the inquire, you care about the Super Bowl hell, no, I don't give a shit about what's going on at Santa Clara, I don't care about anything other than what's going on in our neck and a woods here, but kind of like a withdrawal little bit because I think many people thought you would at least spend in the NFC title, okay, no.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: I did not see that.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I didn't think they'd be a one and done team when it came to losing the San Francisco 49ers and whatever that was that they had bubble gummed together to play the Eagles, but the Eagles all season we're trying to say, hey, look, this is what we are everybody pay attention.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then there was a brief fleeting moment where Nick Seriani was going to take over more responsibility.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: And that turned out to be a big dud.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: And with the season on the line, they went to Kevin Bittulo for the play.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I guess guess what?
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Shocker.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't have it.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: And now we got a, I felt, I don't know if I told this before or not, but I felt a sense of relief.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: the season was over.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was like, okay, we're not going to try to figure this out anymore.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's time to get rid of the tool, go get the offensive line, healthy, find someone that's going to grow, help jail and hurts, grow his game, and we're going to move on.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I felt at the end of the season.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, over the last week, I've just been pissed off about shoveling snow.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's taken over that, you know, the rage I felt watching the Eagles
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: So I just had zander this question.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: Let me ask you, um, with all these coordinator changes, we'll get to the new one here in a minute, but if Doug Peterson had stayed, do you believe that he would have had as much winning, more winning,
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, no, he would not have won as much as Nick Siri.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, uh, for all of false that Nick Siri on he has has that guy win.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: Like he wins a boat load of football games.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: It was starting to fall apart with Doug Peterson already.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: And if he stays, that means more of his offense of coaching staff also stays.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: And his offense of coachy staff was not that great.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, at least just, I mean, to get Frank right after that.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: are we celebrating pressed hailer like what am I doing after the celebrating might grow like I really liked and still like and respect Doug Peterson, but the whole car said when situation blew up Doug couldn't manage that, I don't really know who could of, but him trying to pick his own staff and getting into the power struggle unfortunately with management.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't it wasn't going to happen with Doug.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I think it was when he was done.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: I honestly felt nothing.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't feel like it was a, oh, this is a travesty.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: What do they do?
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I just want to Super Bowl two years ago.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like it was, it was time to make the change.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like it did run its course.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: It was great.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: The one thing that does, that is intriguing to me.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: is like Sean Manion, who I know we'll get to.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: You're talking about a guy who played the position.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: He played the position around some pretty great quarterbacks in his career, and maybe he would have had something to really offer Jalen Hurts to help grow his game faster.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: But around that same time, the other side of the coin is that Jalen was, and is what, second year as a starter, the runner up in the MVP award of Patrick Mahomes, that's pretty damn good.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: He was in a super bowl.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: uh already so it would have been hard to be to have been better literally you'd have to win a Super Bowl early on very early goings of Jalen Hertz's career to justify the time machine in knowing whether or not Doug would have been better or not.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: Fair enough now okay since you mentioned and I mentioned also Sean Manning explained to me how you think he offers something to Jalen Hertz when he's been a coach for 25 months
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: I can't.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, anyone else, I'm sure you've had a claim.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: The position, okay, I get it, I get it, but, but Farsi, he's been a coach only for 25 months.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: First and foremost, how did he land this job?
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: And secondly, where, where, where, they interview 18 people.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's the dude.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: So not great right now, let's start with this.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: It was not on any, he wasn't on anybody's shortlist that I know and if anyone's trying to tell you, look, I understand there's gonna be former teammates at his guys he played with, of course, guys he played for, from his high school, his dad was his coach for a while too.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: I understand there's gonna be all these people Oregon state, oh, you're so great, he's so brilliant.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's never called plays.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: And when Jalen Hertz has a guy that is at least called place for a year, he'd seems to do pretty damn good.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: He tends to go to the Super Bowl as a matter of fact.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: You get a guy that has it called plays, well, then you better be a boy wonder.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what Sean Manie needs to be, a boy wonder.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: To really figure out how to get this offense back on track, how to figure out how the offense.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: Why is it going to work for you next year?
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: How to not be predictable?
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: How to get Jalen to be less predictable?
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like, these are all things a guy who has used said 24, 25 months of being a coach has to figure out.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: That seems like a pretty tall order.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then you talk about a guy who's going to be your passing game coordinator in Jack.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: Ash Grizzard, he's called a place once.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: In his career, other than that, he has more experience as a quality control coach than he does as a play caller.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: So this isn't exactly a brain trust from the outside looking in that you're putting jail and hurts in.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: So look, here's the thing, there's going to be a lot of people are going to say nice things about Sean Manning and try to build him up and you know what fine because no one can tell you that you're wrong other than the fact that obviously there's no experience here in calling plays or even being a coordinator before.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: What the Eagles fan base is trying to, or see me what the Eagles are trying to sell the fan base on right now is because he's young, he's innovative.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: That's not that those don't go hand in hand.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, you could have a guy like Kellin Moore who just retires one second.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: Next minute he's calling plays and he's doing a great job.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: But those still seem like they're few and far between.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: If you're really looking,
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: to build up what Sean Mani could be before he ever calls a play in the regular season.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think it is worth noting that
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: Matt LaFlor thought it's a good idea to have him around Sean McVay thought it was a good idea to have him around Jeff Fisher drafted or I mean this is an experience head coach albeit a defensive mind Pete Carroll again a defensive mind he thought it was a good idea to have him in Seattle toy there's we can talk about Clint Kubiac we can talk about Kevin's to face he Kevin O'Connell like these guys look at him and see a guy that could be a backup quarterback.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: And when you're a backup quarterback, it's not just about whether or not you could go out there and play, it's about whether or not you can get the starter ready to play, help the starter get ready to play.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Run other teams defenses is their offenses, excuse me, those are things that I think add to the experience of at least what creativity, he could bring to the table, diversity, he could bring to the table, good, good quarterbacks, he's played around being around a guy like Tom Clements with the the Packers, he's worked with a lot of quarterbacks.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: the Eagles need to diversify their offense greatly and think way outside the box.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think shot, if you're asking me to be if I'm optimistic or pessimistic, there's nothing that is overwhelmingly optimistic about the higher, except the big fat maybe.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: But there's nothing there that makes you go, oh, here's the proven track record of this guy turning guys around.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like when your brag is Malik Willis, like that's not exactly blown me away.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, when you really brought up the greatness of Jeff Fisher, I kept thinking about the wonderful coaching Javi did on Vince Young when he was in Tennessee.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, legendary right of course.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: So far, when I'm in the offensive quarterback room, and I'm Nick Sarianne, live call plays,
- 8:45[SPEAKER_01]: Who's the one doing the room of my office of coordinator?
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: He has to call place.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know if you're jailing, you're sitting in there and you're like, wait, wait, okay, this is kind of, you guys have all called place, at least you've called place.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you can say whatever you want, but Kevin Tula, they want 11 games with them.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they were 11, I'll look over at this guy, he's been a coach for 25 months.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I just don't know how you land on that.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: So, let me move on to this next one here.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_01]: So the greatness of VickFansio, now, I don't know what's going on.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think, by the way, do you believe that he does come back?
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: This is his final season.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you flirt with quitting twice.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't I don't or should be three times.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think well, it's not I got one more year.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that was so pretty good.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: You're I got one more left in me.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think that can happen.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think if there's a financial aspect of it, too, that could speak his language a little bit more also.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, he's so close to home.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that speaks a little bit of his language as well.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: But I, I think that if he does come back this year, if that does eventually become ironclad.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't see how it wouldn't be a one and done.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: And the Eagles would be fools.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: to think it wouldn't be anything more than one last to raw for VickFanjo.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I'm okay and helped me on on this one.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: So how did Jeff Stoutland go from having one of the most iconic run games in NFL history, maybe the most iconic run game, including the Emmett Smith teams, to being reportedly
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: from being the run coordinator, to now you're in a position where you're questioning and you're roster.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: How did Jeff Stoutling go from the best offensive line coach in pro football to being a guy that's or questioning his decision making this past season, and reportedly after the mini-buy, they took those responsibilities away?
- 10:42[SPEAKER_01]: How'd you get there?
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like this is two out of three questions you're asking me to explain stupid and it's really good.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like I can't tell you what's great about Sean Manion.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's 33.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yay.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: And this isn't on you.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: This is on the Eagles.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to explain what the Eagles are doing here.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: How do you promote the guy that other than Vic Fanjo is the most trusted coach in the room?
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: What are we doing here?
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: This is one year after having them, one of the most historic rushing seasons ever tacked on to what could very well be a position coach, all the fame career of Jeff Stoutland.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: And you're saying, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: do less.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: We know you're great at it, but just do that.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: How does that make any sense?
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: It does it.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's dumb.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: And who's taking over more of that responsibility?
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: Is it Kevin Bittolo?
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: Because that seems like a dumb idea.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: Is it Nick Seriani?
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: Because now we're getting dumber.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: This is ridiculous to me.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: And how the Eagles have done this?
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like, for instance, you know, if you think in retrospect out of greater scale,
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: You go back to 2023, and Brian Johnson actually had, you know, top 10 offense.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: Eight, it started, it started, it stopped eight, top eight.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: It started the falter towards the end of a couple like 19 point game stuff like that.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely not a lot of flow to it.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: You can certainly point at that mistakes by jail and heard you could point to it like that.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: But on the defensive side of things, it was a, it was a train wreck under Sean to sign.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: There were injuries, it certainly played into that.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: But man.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: going and making that change was drastic at 10 and 3 going to map a treasure.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: Very similarly this year, you mean to tell me on a lesser scale, but similar, you're gonna change whose in charge of the run game, like that was the problem?
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: That makes zero sense.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: So the Eagles have done drastic things before, obviously with the defensive side of the football in the decide of Patricia year in 2023.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: And now you're telling me that the guy that helped put together a historic push button run offense that carried you to a super bowl and threw the playoffs and threw the regular season.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: You told that guy, you know what?
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: we can do better without you.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: That is a slap in the face to a guy who, like I said, other than Vic Banjo is the most trusted coach in the room.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: He went this higher of all sorts of coordinator.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see how he could be.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see how he could be.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, I knew he was asking you a very positive question here, I mean, I mean, I'm putting him in here.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm fine.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm wondering what could be on the fence.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this is easy.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it all honestly, it's not fun to talk about what sucks, but it is easier.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: When you talk about AJ Brown, you're talking about the same type of thing you might be talking about with Jalen Hertz, and that's his convincing somebody walking into a room with strong personalities.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: And this is what some people don't like about maybe why people turn this job down.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: You're walking into a room with a head coach that's going to metal.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you're walking into a room where a owner and a general manager are going to have heavy input on things.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: And you're also going to take on a quarterback here who has been to two Super Bowls, one one of them, and bid an MVP.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's, that's a tough room to convince.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, no, no, no.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: I got the answers.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: So you want to be a guy with barely any experience walking up to AJ Brown and be like, hey, man.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: I know how to get you the football more.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no, just wait.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: Just, I know how to, if you're still here, I know how to get you the football.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: Jalen Hart, hey, Jalen.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: Here are the numbers.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: You're pretty good at throwing over the middle of the field.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: Can we actually do that more than once every five weeks?
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: Because you're actually good when you do it.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like how is that guy get a convincing their AJ Brown that you see to get the most out of them?
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: How is he going to convince Jalen Hertz to expand his comfort zone?
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's the thing that is more appealing about a more experienced play collar and someone who does have a track record in the NFL at working as an offensive coordinator working as a play collar.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's a huge ask of someone who is very inexperienced, someone who has played the position of quarterback, but someone who is very inexperienced in terms of coaching, and maybe looking around at other talents, saying, I know how to get the most out of you, and I know how to make you look great in what offense I'm gonna bring in the table.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: Do you believe Lane Johnson, this is last year, do you think he's coming back or not?
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: The...
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: The fact that he didn't give it a go in the playoffs is very disheartening and I understand that he could it could have been and from what I understand it was just more serious and that's why he basically was held out as long as he did or held out as long as he did.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: I would find it difficult to believe he wants to go out like that but the guy does have a lot of life in front of him.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: He has dealt with his issues in the past that he's talked about openly.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be shocked if he hung, hung it up, hung up the spikes.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: I do wonder though if the competitor in him says, let me, let me give this one more.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: If it maybe he got a chip on a shoulder about the team going down hill without him, maybe he's got a chip on a shoulder about the way Jeff Stoutland's name is being dragged through the mud recently.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe those things play into it, but this guy has nothing left to prove.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's at an incredible career.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: If you wanted to call a quits right now, he's going to the Hall of Fame eventually.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: If you're asking me to bet on one or the other, I would bet on the idea that he does hang it up.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to throw these names at you here.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: And you tell me, back or not, back.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: Reblank and ship.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's back.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I think a big part of that is because of Druma Kova.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want two young safety's back there.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to start off with a new one.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not very good.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: How much?
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's, I don't know how much you would go for right now on the open market.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_00]: It does depend, I mean, you've got to draw a definitive line in the sand.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to carve a line and come, create, that you won't go over if you're how.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: You rose because you have other, and I know we're going to get to these names as well.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: But you got other guys, you've got to make sure you bring back as well.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_00]: But read black and chip, I will say, if there's ever been an idea of a hometown discount, not that I ever think it's a deciding factor,
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: Would you pay more than ten for him?
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: I will not pay more than ten.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: I would not.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: Vic loves him, but Vic's only going to be here.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we would not believe one year.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, what I know, the interesting thing with how he is, how he's going to shake that salary cap tree and a lot's money elsewhere.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be a huge, I mean, look, what are the things that really blows me away with how he is, I mean, not that this ended well by any means, but no one thought he's going to bring back the area slay and James Bradbury, he was able to do that, like there's just certain things that he pulls off in the offseason that
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: are just quite frankly, and I hate to give him this credit, but damn wizardry.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's exactly what it is.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: But to answer your question, no, I wouldn't go over 10 for read black and shit.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I happen to know the agency very well.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: Drew Rosenhouse down in South Florida, will represent Stanley Phillips, and by the way, Stanley Carter as well.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: And there it is, slay.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: So, Stanley Phillips, Tennessee is gonna make a pitch for him for about $22 million.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: Would you pay more than $22 million for Jalen Phillips?
- 18:18[SPEAKER_01]: No, I would not.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm working.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: I was filming, they won all these guys back.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: But Mark, oh sure.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: These guys are going to be really, you know, big time assets up there on the free edge of market.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, I think he's ranked fifth in total free agents right now.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: So he's a big name out there.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to get money.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's going to get paid.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: The,
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: The, I mean, look, he's got more of an opportunity to do it because of his position, but I don't see the Eagles pay in $22 million for Jalen Phillips.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_00]: I love the, I hope he's here.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: I hope he's like a chip is here and all that.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: But when it comes to the decisions you're making on Jordan Davis, when it comes to the decisions you're gonna be making on Jalen Carter and elsewhere and I will get to these.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: This is quite a hefty chunk of change that the Eagles are gonna have to divvy up.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: So Dallas got it yesterday to make a $4.5 million pay cut when everyone got a raise a year ago.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone got a raise, everyone but M. And he had 11 touchdowns.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: And in that offense, you could say that he had, like maybe the best year of any tight in and football based on that offense.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, what do you do with got it?
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's got it back, or you pay it.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: giving him more money or you allowing him the walk out the building knowing this that you mean to tell me you can let AJ walk out and if AJ walks out first mark are you going to turn around and go oh yeah to tighten twos out I mean there's a potential you might lose lane AJ and got her on that offense I mean you're not replacing them with draft picks
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, another thing that might seem unattractive to other offense accorded or candidates before they hired Sean Biden, but I absolutely, I am huge on Dallas got her.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, his big question has been health.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: Fortunately this year, I believe you only missed one game due to injury.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: And here's the other part of that.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: Seven touchdowns in the first seven games his first seven games in the season sales and then they go through about a five game stretch where they forget he exists and then they're going to back involved in the offense again and they started cooking a little bit so I would love to have him back.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: If the Eagles didn't forget about him in the midway portions of the season, you could be looking at a ginormous contract this year.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: You're talking about maybe 18 million, 19 million George Kittle tight money because that's type of talent that he has.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: But unfortunately for him, he hasn't been able to stay healthy for the vast majority of his career.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think it depends on what goes down with AJ Brown.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you're probably not going to know that till late the post June 1st designation.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: I believe they want to keep him around.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: I know he took a four and a half million dollar pay cup, but they also guaranteed his $10 million dollars.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: So there might not be bad blood there, and I know that he does love being in Philadelphia, and it depends on whether or not he could buy into Sean Manning and whatever it is.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's selling if he sticks around.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see the Eagles paying him, but if it doesn't work out with AJ Brown, you could end up seeing Dallas got his stick around.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: Do you punt the ball on jail and Carter?
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: And instead of do you pick up the 50 or option instead of giving him the contract extension because I mean, let's face it.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: And you tell me if you agree or disagree.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry Milton Williams, I'll play it entry every single one of those guys on the Eagle D line.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Davis, he'll play Davis, he'll play Carter, the guy that they really should have thought of keeping.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's Monday morning, quarterback stuff.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: But far as he, you drafted a guy in the third round and I get you took the guy in the 13th pick and the other guy with the ninth pick.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: And you let that guy walk out, but Milton Williams is on the same age as Jordan Davis.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: And you let that guy just walk out the building and he's a star.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: He'll play Carter.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: Do you punch this year or do you give him a three-year contract?
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: Are you classifying the one-year extension as a punt?
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: Or are you saying here up in his a punt?
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well then in this case, you're punting.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_00]: Tell what's the difference between Jalen Carter Jordan Davis at this point?
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: Have they proved it over, have they proved consistency?
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Davis didn't do that last year.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: Now, look, I'll ask for the own quiet.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about ceiling, Jalen Carter, it's a higher ceiling, certain.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: Proved to me, you're not going to go try to spit on somebody.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: Proved to me, you're going to be there.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: When you've proved me, your shoulder is okay.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_00]: Proved to me, all this.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_00]: And then you do that, and you actually put it together, not what we think you could do, which you actually do what we know you can do.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: And you prove it to us, we can be talking about a longer-term deal.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_00]: Similar to the situation you put Jordan Davis
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: Couple last ones here for you.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna ask you one last eagle, one dumb, I'm gonna ask you about the NFL here.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: The answer.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: In the Syrian era, who?
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: Because the question in the Santa Clara at the Super Bowl is, who do you give more credit to?
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: Bob Craft or Bill Belechek when it came to that dynasty.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm gonna use that here in Philly.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: Who do you give more credit to?
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Seriani or Jalen Hertz in the Seriani era for success.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_00]: I give it to Jalen Hertz, and the reason for that is
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: How many quarterbacks egos would have gotten in the way a year ago with a star running game like they have.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, no, no, I got to insert my way.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: I got to do what, no, no, no, I, this is my team, realizing that you have that kind of offense, realizing that you have a bazooka when everybody else has a pocket knife, doing that, stepping aside, oh, and then in the Super Bowl, you happen to crush it for yourself in the passing game.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: I give it to Jalen Hertz, and the other part of it is, especially in the 2022 season, how many broken plays were there, the Jalen made with his legs, or Jalen scrambled and bought time behind the line of skirmers and found guys downfield, Jalen first utility has been incredible up until this season, unfortunately.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: uh... you're talking about guys miles sanders deandry swift uh... obviously say quam barkley for the most part the same receiving core these guys are all getting a thousand yards year after year after year now and doing it in not seventy games sixteen games with the exception of smitty this past season so jayland's diversity and his versatility i think is the number one reason this team has been able to find success in the next area
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: Nick could get a lot more credit if you see Jalen take that next step in his career and grow with a new offense and a lot of that not only goes in the Xerianni, it also goes with Sean Mann and the number one charge of Sean Mann of course is to make that comfort zone of Jalen Hertz now expanded and realize when he should run.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_00]: Call plays where he has to run the football.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: The old quarterback draw, let me see that from time to time.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_00]: But Nick, I look at, and I think he's a great delegator, but to me, it's not about delegating it's about doing.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_00]: Shane Steiken did.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_00]: Kellen Moore did.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: Jeff Stoutland did.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: Vic Fangeo did.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: Jalen Hurts does.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's really what it's about.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think Nick puts other people for the most part in good positions, but those people are the ones that have to come through.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: And they come through, they make Nick look good.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: See, I think.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I saw a guy with Kyle Shanahan who had like a junior varsity team and a practice squad team.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: And he went to Philadelphia and he went to ball game.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: And you had all that superstar talent and you couldn't come up with a better play on 4th and 11 and you couldn't beat that team.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_01]: They lost Kittle four minutes into the game.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_01]: See to me, I don't think he, I don't think he is a yes guy.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think I can say this, he's an answer guy.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think if things are going bad, I don't think he has answers.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's my problem with the guy, but here's what he doesn't have it.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, my number one takeaway from watching the playoffs was, I mean, everyone knows coaching matters, but damn, it matters 10 times more than anybody thought it did when you watch the Eagles versus the field in the NFL.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, think about that.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: My number one takeaway is you see Sean
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: Go for it on fourth and one when you just take the points babe just take the points and he any he messes that up You see the Seattle Seahawks trying to put a game on ice with Mike McDonald or late in that can might be down McDonald late in that game
- 26:45[SPEAKER_00]: Storming down the field was Sam Donald still chucking the football like that's aggression But that's also great execution on their part things like that you had not seen with the Philadelphia Eagles all season long How much coaching matters and you're right the biggest indictment is that you see a team that is all banged up and doesn't have the talent That it needs the win a game, but yet they the coaches put them in the perfect position in order to have success against Philadelphia
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: What I learned more so than any other year I've watched, and I'll say in recent years, with recent sea bias, is this year watching the playoffs, you really know how much the league was head and shoulders above the Philadelphia Eagles when it came to coaching and truly putting their players in a better position to have success, and also go to the sea hocks for this, not taking their foot off the gas as the Eagles did time and time again this year.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: How many, how many people look at the game on Sunday and do this?
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let me get this.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: So Clint Kubiak is considered the hottest coordinator in the NFL and he's going to get the radar job chat.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: Josh McDaniels is arguably one of the greatest offensive coordinators in pro football history.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: He coach Brady and look what he's doing now with Drake May.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: He may not be a great head coach, Mark.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: But I'll tell you what, when it comes to evolving quarterbacks and growing quarterbacks, I think this guy knows what he's doing.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: And then you look at Mike McDonald, the defensive savant, then you look at what variables doing.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the two best coaching staffs are in the Super Bowl.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: So coaching matters, man.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're right.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen some Sean McVay with some of those decisions of Ben Ben Johnson with some of those decisions that he made in that Rams game.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, coach he came down to it.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Suryon and that fourth and 11 and going against Kyle Shanyan.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: Who do you like in the game on Sunday?
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: uh... i like the seawks uh... uh... i look the patriots i love that samdarnal story uh... i mean i thought okay that was another thing how much coaching matters yeah yeah at him gays that a brilliant job of samdarnal did me that whiz kid um...
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: But also I mean he goes to Carolina.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: I know he had Joe Brady there for a little bit in Carolina.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: He was with Matt rule there.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_00]: He goes to San Francisco.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: Then he goes to Minnesota and then now Seattle.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: And you look at it the last two years.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I've heard multiple players now talk about this with Sam Darnold.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, oh, that's the Sam Darnold that the jet drafted, but messed up because they're the jets.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_00]: But again, here's this story of it all coaching matters, coaching matters.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_01]: It truly does last
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: So, Bellachect doesn't make it to the pro football hall of fame, right?
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: And first ballot.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_01]: Now, so now Bob Kraft doesn't make it to the hall of fame on the first ballot.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: So let me get this right here.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: Shondor Sanders is a pro-boller.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: Bob Craft is not a Hall of Famer and Bill Bouchek, the winningiest owner in the Super Bowl era.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_01]: And the winningiest coach in the Super Bowl era.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: I choose to you and maybe this is another dumb ass question again here, Farzi.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_01]: But I want you to help me out here, understand dumb.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_01]: Help me hear.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're take away on this and what's been a crazy story with these two guys.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: The winning is pair in NFL history during the Super Bowl air not Hall of Famers.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_00]: Despite is a, despite is a beautiful thing.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's quite as a beautiful, deductible, delicious thing, man.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know what?
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: I got to tell you who taught me this.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_01]: There was a, there was a guy in my communications class.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: He called it a sassour and he said, you know what a timely pause is my friend.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: A timely pause at sometimes broadcasting will always be a lot more than sometimes you hollering at the way you do.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: At times, hey dude, I gotta tell you.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: I watched that story this this week, and I'm like, yeah, I don't get it.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, how they came to that conclusion.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: And so don't you agree then?
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: They have to use that on Brady then too, right?
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a matter of whether they're not Brady, they'll just charm the pants off of all of them and have them vote for them anyway.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: So Brady would be the first talent.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, that would be
- 31:17[SPEAKER_00]: Certainly mind blowing more so than anybody else because he's playing the game obviously, but yeah, if if they keep that precedent over.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_00]: cheating, scandals, all that, then yeah, that would have to follow suit.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it actually happens.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's easier to keep a coach out, keep an owner out than it is to keep the quarter back out that, by the way, did want a Super Bowl in another place, including beating Patrick Mahomes and that Super Bowl.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: I would be surprised.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: I would be surprised, I'll say that, if Tom Brady doesn't become a first-bound Hall of Famer, I think it's easier to direct spite at the owner
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'll tell you, I can't wait to see how this plays out.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: Farzzi, I'm pretty sure you can't wait to see how this plays out.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: Farzzi, I'm pretty sure you can't wait to see how this plays out.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_01]: Farzzi, I'm pretty sure you can't wait to see how this plays out.
