  I'm thinking today of a short powerful verse from the book of Proverbs. It is Proverbs 5 3

  For the lips of an adulteress drip honey and smooth as an oil is her speech

  It's a metaphor basically to say that she is very alluring honey was one of the sweetest

  most wonderful and kind of expensive things that they had access to and

  The fact that her speech flows like oil say that it's it's slippery

  You can never quite get a handle on it. But also it's valuable or she appears valuable because that's the way oil was

  She can talk you into doing what you would never do

  I think the adulteress can also be a metaphor or at least the same descriptors apply

  To a lot of alluring things in our lives and I kind of think that's the point

  If something seems too good to be true, it probably is if it can lure you away from doing what's right

  It's probably nothing for you

  would encourage you today to look at your life as I try to look at my life every day and

  examine what might be trying to lead me away from the right way away from God's way and

  Realize that as good as it may look as good as it may seem to taste

  As good as profitable as it may seem to be I want nothing to do with it. I want to do God's thing God's way
