- 0:08Before we talk about anything and everything,
- 0:11I'll be in woman's curling. I'm the dingus, surrounded
- 0:17by my fellow bums. Say hi, bums. Hi, hi. Nice
- 0:23of you to join us today, or tonight, or whenever
- 0:27you're listening to this, all kinds of different
- 0:29platforms across the interwebs. Let's get into
- 0:33it. Beautiful and true. That's the quietest I'll
- 0:39ever be tonight. I'm sure. I just gotta make
- 0:43sure I soundproof this room next. That's the
- 0:45next project, so I promise. There's enough stuff
- 0:48in here to where I've noticed in here the sound
- 0:51is a lot better. This is a lot better than down
- 0:54in the open mass living room down there. Yeah,
- 0:58all the jerseys and all the jerseys and shelves
- 1:01and everything else on the walls. It's kind of
- 1:04a lot less wall for the sound to bounce off of,
- 1:07so. Yeah, there's still one more, actually one
- 1:10more thing that I have that I'm just too fucking
- 1:12lazy to put up. And I don't have the motivation.
- 1:16Thank you ADHD for a wonderful manly ass thing.
- 1:22Yeah, just a typical Sunday night here in the
- 1:25Bump Luster Studio. in the background we're also
- 1:27just kind of paying attention to the the cheats
- 1:29bills game so if we scream or say fuck get some
- 1:31random point it's probably that so um the cheats
- 1:34currently up by five on the bills right now as
- 1:36we talk shortly into the i'm almost at the end
- 1:38of the third quarter already yeah it's uh it's
- 1:43you'll be moving on it really do be moving on
- 1:45the bills are about to score oh live reaction
- 1:47here we go oh touchdown did you get it oh a yard
- 1:54short yeah come on Just don't these damn chiefs
- 1:57to win again man fuck sakes. I like I'm tired
- 2:00I want to see somebody new man, and I like Josh
- 2:04Allen too much you know Fuck I really do like
- 2:12you know that addition to the studio So put a
- 2:19custom message on it Like right now it says fuck
- 2:22the chiefs up there. I also have a live reaction
- 2:25Touchdown bills What a fucking play Wow James
- 2:33Cook Damn, that was cook right? Yeah, James Cook
- 2:37Wow, what a dive with a stretch. There's the
- 2:40watch party Buffalo. Hell. Yeah Go nuts Because
- 2:48remember they're professional lacrosse Oh, that's
- 2:51right. They just won their championship. Oh,
- 2:54that's right. In their second straight, yeah.
- 2:55In their second straight. So you've got two good
- 2:57teams up in Buffalo. I don't know how... I always
- 2:59forget... I always forget they have... Too bad
- 3:02the other team that shares that arena is absolute
- 3:04dogshit. I don't know how well their baseball
- 3:08team's doing up there. They have minority baseball
- 3:09teams. I think it's a AAA team, yeah. It's a
- 3:11single A. Is it only single? I thought it was
- 3:13triple. Yeah, I don't know how well they're doing
- 3:15or how well they did last year that... I couldn't
- 3:17even tell who they're affiliated with. I can't
- 3:20remember. You guys are the baseball people here.
- 3:26I honestly can't remember. I know it's a single
- 3:29way. I just can't remember who they're affiliated
- 3:31with. Good thing for Google. I gotta scroll through
- 3:43all this. Well, why don't we look that up? Do
- 3:47you guys have any? Oh, let's start with OHL news,
- 3:49Jeff. Why don't you get us a girl in here, man?
- 3:52Actually going back on January 13th, it was kind
- 3:56of Confirmed on January 10th, but the OHL didn't
- 4:02make the official announcement to like that Monday
- 4:05Zach Hyman and his family are now on are now
- 4:10the new owners of the Brantford Bulldogs. Yeah,
- 4:13I don't know if we touched on that last week,
- 4:15but I know there was news that it was happening,
- 4:18but it now became official within the last two
- 4:20weeks since our last recording. I think we touched
- 4:23on it, but I can't quite remember. I know it
- 4:27came, it was, they kind of heard about it on
- 4:30the 10th. Wasn't quite official, like I won the
- 4:35weigh -in today. I knew that they were waiting
- 4:37to the official announcement. I knew they, I
- 4:40had a feeling they waited to do the announcement
- 4:42because of the Conor McDealer prospect game that
- 4:45happened in Brantford. So I think they wanted
- 4:47to kind of make the announcement along with that
- 4:51prospect game. But yeah, that's honestly pretty
- 4:54cool. Actually, I didn't realize the owner they
- 4:59just bought it off of. He owned the Ottawa Centers
- 5:02and the... Bellville Bellville centers as well.
- 5:06Oh really? Yeah I didn't know that until after
- 5:09um after the um deal was done so I thought that
- 5:14was kind of interesting. So the Buffalo Bisons
- 5:18are the trip a affiliate of. They're the trip
- 5:22a affiliate of. The Blue Jays? The Blue Jays.
- 5:24Blue Jays okay. I mean it makes sense considering
- 5:27they're right right in there. It clicked right
- 5:29as you want to say it because I'm pretty sure
- 5:31when COVID was happening you know um The Blue
- 5:33Jays weren't allowed to play up in Toronto, they
- 5:35had to play down here in America, and that's
- 5:36where they ended up playing their games, was
- 5:37at the Bicents field. Which makes sense, because,
- 5:41you know, again... But you don't really need
- 5:42to be worried about, you know, attendance, because
- 5:44there wasn't fans that year, so... But yeah,
- 5:48they ended up playing their home games at the
- 5:50Buffalo Bicents field, so... It makes sense.
- 5:54I guess location -wise, too. Tending to be living
- 5:57right across the borders. I mean, I'm just trying
- 5:59to think. The drive up there, it was... Four
- 6:05hours from here to Toronto from my place. She
- 6:10doesn't sound right. You and Bubba took a day
- 6:15trip up there last year? Yeah, three years ago.
- 6:18So three and a half hours from a studio to the
- 6:21hockey hall thing. So give or take an hour. Buffalo
- 6:24Stadium is the half way point. Yeah. So an hour
- 6:2915. You literally pass it on. through a buff
- 6:32on one of the interstates. Yeah, so hour 15 give
- 6:36or take traffic and, you know, how easy it is
- 6:38to get across the border. And it's, for whatever
- 6:41reason, it's a lot tougher to get into the states
- 6:44than it is to Canada. Yeah. But that's a whole
- 6:47different story for not the podcast. Yeah, before
- 6:51we jump into the end, which I'll do is let's
- 6:53talk more just auditors hockey since last recording.
- 6:55Record of three and three since the last recording.
- 6:59Went on to win. two of a three and three road
- 7:02trip against the 67s in the Pete's four to one
- 7:05and five to one respectively and then lost a
- 7:07third at Kingston six to two and then another
- 7:10three to three this past weekend two of them
- 7:12at home one of them on the road one on this past
- 7:15Friday night against the Ice Dogs a three and
- 7:17two shootout win which I heard was an incredible
- 7:20game against the team that we did not expect
- 7:24to be a top dog pun intended this year and they
- 7:26are no Oh and Flores were incredible. Yeah, but
- 7:33a very tight heartbreaking loss on Saturday night
- 7:35to the Kitchener Rangers in the area four to
- 7:37three and then a kind of a bow -up and Niagara
- 7:40got their revenge on us earlier this afternoon
- 7:42six to three in Niagara Yeah, that game last
- 7:47night was very very close game I think I'd said
- 7:50it to Colin when we met back up at the car like
- 7:52I'm not disappointed with how we played that
- 7:54last night It was still a very strong game Ty
- 7:57Henry definitely needs some discipline, needs
- 8:01to stay out of the box. I think I saw a stat
- 8:03in that 12 consecutive games where he's had a
- 8:05penalty. If you take out the first 20 minutes
- 8:11of that game, the kitchener game, I mean obviously
- 8:13they look sloppy, they weren't themselves, but...
- 8:17I mean, offensively, we still did pretty good
- 8:18defensively. We surrendered 21 shots in the first
- 8:23period alone. And then four in the second. you
- 8:27know turn aside 19 of them and then the four
- 8:31four shots against that second period second
- 8:34period we actually have like 15 to four in the
- 8:36second period or something like that 16 to 4
- 8:38which is crazy you know terry torrance's penalty
- 8:41shot which got the crowd just absolutely fucking
- 8:43wild yeah all around amazing second period and
- 8:48third period again very strong third period as
- 8:50well just kind of an unfortunate penalty at the
- 8:52end there which probably should not have been
- 8:54called Missed hit led to a leg on my contact.
- 8:59I'm not going to say knee -on -knee. It wasn't
- 9:01knee -on -knee. No. No. So, which led to a tripping,
- 9:04and then again led to the unfortunate game -winner
- 9:08goal. The no -goal should have been paid debt
- 9:12that called debt after sods went down. Yeah.
- 9:15That icing before that shouldn't have been called.
- 9:18It was literally in -center, almost center. And
- 9:21it didn't even hit the goal line. No. So either
- 9:25way you look at it, no icing facial went on.
- 9:29It's just typical eerie OHL refs for you. Just
- 9:33the refs that we get stuck with watching. Hesitating
- 9:36on dropping the puck. I've never seen that in
- 9:39my 25 fucking years of watching hockey. I've
- 9:42never seen that before. Maybe one, maybe two.
- 9:46delays, but these what three or four times we
- 9:49went to drop it and just blew the whistle like
- 9:51Just drop the fucking puck. I know people were
- 9:54just like, oh my god. It was I've never seen
- 9:57that The rest have gotten a lot worse and worse
- 10:00over the years and I I know they're good, you
- 10:03know They that's it's a fact out there that they
- 10:06don't like traveling the area. Oh, it's y 'all
- 10:08rest Do not like traveling the area. We're so
- 10:10out of the way, but it's like it doesn't matter
- 10:12do your fucking job I fucking hate those people
- 10:15that defend and like, well they have a very tough
- 10:17job. No, they fucking don't. It's not a hard
- 10:20fucking job to do correctly. There are eight
- 10:24eyeballs out there. Most of the time they're
- 10:26looking at the planet. They're looking at what's
- 10:28happening and then they decide not to do anything.
- 10:31Like the one last thing that actually was a call
- 10:33for us, you know, a call on Kitchener, a play
- 10:36that happened like down towards where we were
- 10:39sitting, around 90 feet away down the other fucking
- 10:41goal line called the penalty. Again, it was a
- 10:45penalty on Kitchener, so I was happy we got the
- 10:47power play out of it. I think that might have
- 10:48been the one we actually scored on. But still,
- 10:50I was like, how the hell does this guy weigh
- 10:52down there and make the call? Those are always
- 10:54the ones that I don't get. The one that's actually
- 11:01calling it doesn't call it in the one. The one
- 11:06that is literally right in front of me to call
- 11:08in distance away from the play doesn't call it.
- 11:12and the ref 80 feet away calls it. I think another
- 11:17thing, Cole and I were talking, we actually were
- 11:19talking about this on Friday's game, like, watching
- 11:23Erlinden, like, coming out and play the puck.
- 11:27We were talking ever since him coming over from
- 11:30Sweden, like, we noticed he's actually more,
- 11:33he's getting more confident of actually coming
- 11:36out and playing the puck and that. Where he at
- 11:38the beginning he was like you can tell he was
- 11:40like he hesitated Yeah, because the way he played
- 11:46it like goaltenders never play the puck Yeah,
- 11:49you just you state your ass is in this goal.
- 11:52You do not the only time you move is to save
- 11:54No, save the puck. That's it. Do not go behind
- 11:58the net. Do not do anything else. That's your
- 12:00job You know that is very typical if you're a
- 12:04goaltender tend the goal joke that's the jit
- 12:07what do you do tend to goal yeah whereas obviously
- 12:09over here stateside it's like okay you can go
- 12:11out pay the pot you have a lot more freedom so
- 12:14every time i hear that i can't help but hear
- 12:15steven screaming thank steve for that so yeah
- 12:23now we can jump into what's our some our milestones
- 12:25and news from uh yeah for up league um and then
- 12:29honestly talked about the zack hyman and his
- 12:31family pick it up buying the Bramford Bulldogs.
- 12:37Columbus Blue Jack is prospect this is on the
- 12:40only one January 15th milestone. Columbus Blue
- 12:45Jack's prospect Noah Milan gets his fourth career
- 12:47OHL shutout and his first with the Greyhounds
- 12:50in the 7 -0 victory versus the Peterborough Peets.
- 12:55We'll be back to Noah. Yeah because there's actually
- 12:59a state on A little note I put in the group chat
- 13:04earlier. On the 17th, the Philadelphia Flyers
- 13:08prospect Noah Powell of the Austin Generals gets
- 13:11his first career OHO goal versus Brantford Bulldogs.
- 13:15Matthew Manza of the Sarnia Sting gets his first
- 13:18career OHO goal versus Sudbury Wolves. On the
- 13:2318th, with his assists on Michael Mises' second
- 13:28goal, In his fourth point of the game, Calgary's
- 13:30finest prospect Zayn Perak of the Saginaw Spirit
- 13:33passes Patrick McNeil at 182 points for the all
- 13:37-time points leader as the defenseman. Isen Mekes
- 13:44of the Owenstown Attack gets his first career
- 13:47O .H .O. goal versus the Flint Firebirds. Angus
- 13:51McDowell of the Brankford Steelheads played in
- 13:53his 200th career O .H .O. game versus Kitchener
- 13:56Rangers. On the 22nd, Sean Kingwell of the Auto
- 14:0367's gets his first career OHO goal. On the 23rd,
- 14:10Jaden Diu of the Saginaw Spirit played in his
- 14:13200th career OHO game. And then Hayden Bartsch
- 14:17of the Peterbo Pete's gets his first career OHO
- 14:20goal versus the Saginaw Spirit. On the 24th,
- 14:26Luca DiMato of the Oxford Generals played in
- 14:28his 250th career with Joe Game. And Winnipeg
- 14:32Jets prospect Kobe Barlow gets his first four
- 14:36gold performance versus Peterbilt Peets. I'm
- 14:39sorry. Anytime I hear anything about Luca DiMato,
- 14:43I just think back to last year when Alfie just
- 14:47completely shoved him down. Big brother and little
- 14:50brother shoving down to the ground. Yeah. And
- 14:59then as mentioning does this happen on the 24th
- 15:04Columbus Bluehawk prospect Nolan Milan gets the
- 15:07his gets the first goalie goal for ensues franchise
- 15:12history versus the flip -fire birds That was
- 15:16in that was pretty cool scene I think that's
- 15:19Nolan's second goalie goal. He got one with Saginaw
- 15:22last year, and I want to say... I don't think
- 15:25so, no. I thought he got one as well. But he
- 15:29becomes, regardless, this is the 12th time that
- 15:33a goaltender has gotten a goalie goal in the
- 15:37OHL. It's the first time that there's been more
- 15:44than one goalie goal this season. Obviously,
- 15:49earlier in the season Carter George of the Owenstown
- 15:51Attack got the other goalie goal. Then as of
- 15:57Saturday the 25th, Matthew Soleri of the Auto
- 16:0167's gets his first career O .H .O. goal vs.
- 16:04Kingston Frontenac's. Pierce Mabu of the Owenstown
- 16:09Attack gets his first career O .H .O. Patrick
- 16:11vs. Sonia Sting. Anthony Ramani of the Barry
- 16:16Colts played in his 200th career OHL game versus
- 16:18the Bramford Bulldogs. And then as for suspensions
- 16:23wise, the big one was Kevin Hee. It's right now
- 16:29pending right now, but the OHL reveal that he'll
- 16:33be suspended for not sure for how long on the
- 16:37hit on Alexi Davia in the game on the 24th and
- 16:41that. Hell yeah. In honestly, in Davio I guess
- 16:47is out for, because of concussion protocol and
- 16:50that's why he's missed the last two games. Yeah.
- 16:55And then he took a hit on a Friday night's game.
- 16:57Friday night's game. Like it looked like, looking
- 17:00back at the time it looked like a clean hit because
- 17:04it happened like literally along the board right
- 17:06in front of our section. But on the ice um...
- 17:10But like looking back at the replay, it did kind
- 17:13of look a little high, but it's honestly debatable.
- 17:19So there are seven goalie goals in OHL. Three
- 17:25names you might recognize. This first name has
- 17:29been, it's been a while. Tyler Parsons of the
- 17:32London Knights. And then the, some of the recent
- 17:37two are Carter George and Nolan LaLonde. Know
- 17:40Barry had one last year from what I saw Other
- 17:45names include Chris Chris Clifford Pete McGlynn
- 17:48Ron Vogel and Jason cool how well All these guys
- 17:55old old players. Yeah, except a 70 79 71 66 so
- 18:06This is what I'm pulling up here. Quant Hockey.
- 18:10Quant. I think that's how you pronounce it. All
- 18:14time Goldie Gold leaders. Hi Kyle. Hi. Jeff,
- 18:20is that all for you? That's all I have. Kyle,
- 18:23who do you have for your? Well, I was going to
- 18:25say, one other thing we should just discuss,
- 18:28the elephant in the room, the Stan Butler situation.
- 18:33No comment with it still being under? Well, not
- 18:36with that, but like, do we think... I mean, I
- 18:40think personally the team has been performing
- 18:42a lot better, a lot more confidently without
- 18:45him. Yeah. And not six games we have seen the
- 18:48team play without him. I mean, three wins in
- 18:52those six games against some decently good teams
- 18:56as well. Especially the win on Friday night against
- 18:59Niagara. And a very strong game last night against
- 19:02Kitchener. I think we're playing very well, a
- 19:05lot more confident. I really like the way Wes
- 19:09and Ken are running this team right now. And
- 19:11I think they did good, you know, the year we
- 19:13hired Butler, you know, between B .J. Adams and
- 19:16Butler. I think they did a good job with that
- 19:18as well. Well, I think then it was Wes and Vince,
- 19:21yeah. But I think we're doing very well without
- 19:24him. I don't know if we need him to come back
- 19:28at this point. Yeah. I know Dave Brown has been
- 19:34the last three games, especially four games,
- 19:37he's been on the bench and that. Yeah, initially
- 19:41that was like Friday's game, I'm like, is that
- 19:43Dave Brown? And I couldn't tell him that, I saw
- 19:46some on Facebook. And then from one of our local
- 19:52news saying that he was, I'm like, okay, I thought
- 19:55that was him. But yeah, he's been on the bench
- 19:58with Ken and Wes and that. Helping with the coaching.
- 20:04Get you together kind of thing. Yeah, but I mean
- 20:06in worst case I say keep Wes and in Kenwell and
- 20:10I say maybe promote Wes to head coach. Keep Ken
- 20:13as assistant. Maybe hire another assistant at
- 20:15the end of the season. Yeah, I think Wes, you
- 20:20can definitely tell Wes is definitely the better
- 20:22man for the head coach position. That's a small
- 20:26assume. Something I noticed Saturday night is
- 20:28every every in between every whistle they're
- 20:30over there over at the bench looking over plays
- 20:32you know looking over the playbook looking over
- 20:34things you know coming up with the game plan
- 20:35right then and there changing the game plan up
- 20:38right then and there i didn't see that a lot
- 20:39with stan yeah i have not seen that a lot with
- 20:42stan whatsoever he's more leading leading against
- 20:44the glass on the bench yeah kind of thing kind
- 20:46of let them like the guys figure it out almost
- 20:49like on the fly pretty much yeah what wesson
- 20:52ken are very focused on let's fix this now This
- 20:57what we need to do to fix it rather than hey
- 20:59like hey, we're doing great like let's keep focus
- 21:01to this array That was bullshit fix it now kind
- 21:05of thing. That's what we need to do to fix it
- 21:07even on I always I always do listen to the soundbites
- 21:11like that either paraffin wolf always do the
- 21:17soundbites at the end of daughters games like
- 21:20they always say like what what they've changed
- 21:24throughout the game, like what they said, okay,
- 21:26we didn't play good the first, but we changed
- 21:28in the second, look better. So I think they've
- 21:34been doing a really good job, just the two of
- 21:37them lately. And normally you'll see like refs
- 21:42or officials come over to the benches and experience
- 21:44stuff, like when Stan was behind there, they
- 21:47never came over to the area bench. If they did,
- 21:50they would talk to Wes. Yeah. very rarely you
- 21:55saw like stan like like actually say something
- 22:00a lot of time unless he was like really pissed
- 22:02or something but you didn't see much emotions
- 22:05out of stan butler whereas now you know west
- 22:08is always there he always wants to know what
- 22:10the fuck is going on which it kind of sucks i
- 22:12know when we found out he was coming to eerie
- 22:14like everybody was really hyped about it like
- 22:16just you know the amount of time he spent in
- 22:19um in North Bay and Brampton. He was loved over
- 22:23there and he had a very long tenure over there.
- 22:25When we found out he was coming here, we were
- 22:26very excited. We actually have a coach that has
- 22:29a lot of tenure and not only just in hockey,
- 22:31but in this league. Knows what he's doing, knows
- 22:34how to bring a team to the playoffs pretty consistently.
- 22:37I think in like his 21 years in North Bay slash
- 22:40Brampton, he only missed the playoffs like three
- 22:41times. He joined us, we missed, but he was only
- 22:45here for the last half of the season. I'm not
- 22:47counting that. I will not count that against
- 22:50the man. I'm sorry. I will not count that against
- 22:55anybody. The damage was done. We were already
- 23:00out of contention. I think we're looking very
- 23:05good without him. Do we need him to come back?
- 23:08I don't know. If something changes and maybe
- 23:11this ends up being a wake up call for him, whatever
- 23:13the situation is, we know as much as the organization
- 23:16has put out. and he's under investigation by
- 23:19by the league or by the team which that's something
- 23:22we're kind of sitting on our hands about and
- 23:23waiting for the eerie auditor's organization
- 23:25to say this is what happened this is what we
- 23:28are investigating issues came to and that's that's
- 23:31all we know we don't have any insiders we don't
- 23:33have any scoop and we know what they released
- 23:36and that's all we're going to say about the situation
- 23:38professionally professional auto professionals
- 23:41until we know more we'll Just leave it as it
- 23:45is right now until we know more about it. Yeah.
- 23:50Yeah, jumping to the NHL with a bunch of milestones.
- 23:53I did end up missing mine last week, but I went
- 23:55back and got a couple more or less just like
- 23:57the first goals and a couple bigger the milestones
- 23:59I was able to pull out. Dating all the way back
- 24:01to December 27th, Shakir Mukadumalin of the San
- 24:06Jose Sharks scored his first career NHL goal
- 24:09against the Vegas Golden Knights. Andre Lee of
- 24:12the LA Kings scored his first career goal against
- 24:14the Devils. That was on the first of the year.

- 24:53career point and Rory Karens of the Calgary Flames
- 24:57recorded his first career NHL point on his first
- 25:00shift back to the Bedard I think he was the fastest
- 25:04or second -fast T -changer or whatever to get
- 25:08200 points since Sidney Crosby. Really? Yeah.
- 25:12Wow. I believe it. So, not at all fun, it'll
- 25:16stay big. On the 14th, Parker Witherspoon of
- 25:19the Boston Bruins scored his first career goal
- 25:22against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Nashville
- 25:25Predators became the 27th franchise in NHL history

- 25:51his first career hat -trick. On the 16th, Philip

- 25:57that to Colin earlier. Beautiful snipe. Filthy,
- 26:01filthy snipe. Dylan DeMello played in his 600th
- 26:06career game. Victor Hedman is the first lightning
- 26:09player in history to record 600 career assists.
- 26:14And Mark Edward Vlasic becomes the 73rd player
- 26:17in NHL history to play his 1300th career game.
- 26:221300th. 1300th career game. On the 17th, Penguins
- 26:30goaltender Alex Nedelkovich scored his first
- 26:32career NHL goal against the Sabres and with that
- 26:35became the first goaltender in NHL history to
- 26:38record both a goal and an assist in the same
- 26:40game and is the first goalie in history to score
- 26:44a goal in the ECHL. the AHL and the NHL. Are
- 26:49you struggling a little bit? I am a little bit.
- 26:51Do you want me doing your notes? The ECHL he
- 26:53did that all the way back on December 30th of
- 26:552016. In the AHL he has scored two goals in the
- 26:59AHL on March 10th 2018 and November 17th of 2023
- 27:03and in just recently January 17th of 2025 for
- 27:10the Pittsburgh Penguins. January 18th, Nick Foligno
- 27:14played in his 1200th career game. Ryan Donato
- 27:19recorded his 100th career assist. Nikita Kucherov

- 27:30becomes the fastest active defenseman to reach
- 27:32100 goals, doing so in 362 games. On the 19th
- 27:38Zach Ostupchuk of the Ottawa Senators scored
- 27:41his first career goal against the New Jersey
- 27:44Devils and Justin Hruckowin of the Dallas Stars
- 27:48recorded his first career NHL point. On the 20th
- 27:54Alex Tuck played in his 500th game. Freddy Anderson
- 27:57made his 500th career start. Jordan Stahl played
- 28:00in his 1300th game in which in that game he got
- 28:03his 700th career point. On the 22nd, Samuel Hellenquist
- 28:09of the LA Kings got his first career NHL goal
- 28:11against the Panthers and Adam Fantilles recorded
- 28:14his first career hat -trick. On the 23rd, Jared
- 28:18Spurgeon played in his 900th career game and
- 28:21both Patrick Lyne and Christian Dvorak both played
- 28:24in their 500th game. On the 24th, Joey DeCord
- 28:28played in his 100th game. Freddie Anderson recorded
- 28:31his 300th career win. And Colton Dock of the

- 28:36against the Lightning. And on the 25th, Nikolaj
- 28:41Ehlers became the first Danish -born player to
- 28:44reach 500 points. Cole Profetti recorded his
- 28:47first career hat -trick. And Cam Atkinson played
- 28:50in his 800th career game. And today, as of the
- 28:5326th, as of 9 .15 p .m., Martin Nietzsche recorded
- 28:56his 300th career point. And first with Colorado,
- 29:02right? Uh, I believe so, yeah. Should've been.
- 29:05Should've been. Alright, jumping back into it.
- 29:10Going to some Puck Doku. See what we got today.
- 29:14Alright, going across with the columns. We got
- 29:16Buffa Mo with Amundsen and Montreal. And for
- 29:20the rows, we got Arizona. Minnesota and three
- 29:25press teams played in their career for Arizona
- 29:28and Buffalo Jason Zucker you can also do that
- 29:31for Minnesota and you can also do that for three
- 29:33teams favorite so we can hold on to that because
- 29:37yeah that's multiple options yeah I see the other
- 29:40one up for Arizona Edmonton Taylor Hall yeah
- 29:44we got we did for Arizona Buffalo too yeah so
- 29:49we got we got Taylor Hall Taylor Hall, Jason
- 29:54Zucker, Alex Tuck. Alex Tuck. Tuck's here for
- 29:59Minnesota? I thought he was drafted by Minnesota.
- 30:02Did he play a game for them? Oh, fuck, that's
- 30:04right. Well, either way, he... No, because that
- 30:07would only be two games. Because he went Vegas
- 30:10and Buffalo. Yeah. And then I know... And then...
- 30:18GalChamp can work for, um... Montreal, Arizona.
- 30:21Yeah. Montreal, Arizona or Minnesota. Three teams
- 30:26played in Korea. Yeah. So that he can fit any
- 30:29two. So we, we have our options. It's just how
- 30:32we want to play this appropriately. Yeah. I think
- 30:36we can do Galchenyuk for Montreal, Arizona. And
- 30:42for Montreal three teams played Mike Hoffman.
- 30:46Yeah. My he's in Montreal team. Yes, baby. Okay
- 30:52Hoffman He's played for like five or six at this
- 30:57point I gotta make sure I took the right one
- 30:59Another one that can work for Minnesota Edmonton
- 31:05is on camp Talbot No, so yeah or um He fit anywhere
- 31:12else. I don't think so three three three inch
- 31:14player. Yeah, you fit that way, too so I'm pretty
- 31:18sure we got all the kids came when I was Pat
- 31:21Maroon played for Edmonton at some point, right?
- 31:23Yeah, so he can go and also Minnesota Edmonton
- 31:27or 3D. So as of right now, the only one we don't
- 31:30have filled out is Montreal, Minnesota. Pretty
- 31:33much. Alright, so let's focus Edmonton, Carolina,
- 31:37Edmonton, Arizona. Which one? Taylor Hall for
- 31:42that one. Taylor Hall. We'll do Taylor Hall for
- 31:43that one. Or wait, do we want to do him for Arizona?
- 31:50Edmonton. That's what I was picking on, Arizona
- 31:52Edmonton. Oh was it? Okay, okay. So. Make sure
- 31:55you do the right one for this one too, because
- 31:56I'm pretty sure this one, there's two different
- 31:58Taylor Hauls. Yeah. Yeah, so they're gonna do
- 32:00the present time one. And then Edmonton, three
- 32:05teams play, but I was gonna put Jeff Skinner.
- 32:09Carolina, Buffalo, Edmonton. Yeah, that works.
- 32:13Not Jeffs. Jeff, how do you spell your name again?
- 32:18In Buffalo three teams played fucking anybody
- 32:20that's ever played for Buffalo Yeah Good call
- 32:29St. Louis and Vancouver. He was St. Louis. Yeah,
- 32:34it was like like briefly before my father's rate
- 32:37after he got shaped from Buffalo to sing He was
- 32:40only, he only stayed there for a half, like less
- 32:43than a half. Really? Trade deadline. Trade deadline
- 32:45on that season and then went to Anaheim. Or to?
- 32:49Vancouver. Vancouver after that. Anaheim. He
- 32:52finished his career in Vancouver. I thought he
- 32:54finished in Anaheim. He finished in Vancouver.
- 32:56I'm pretty sure he finished in Anaheim. Here,
- 32:59here, let me. I'm pretty positive he finished
- 33:00in Anaheim. Cause he was in Vancouver for the
- 33:04uh, I think when he was in the Olympics. shortly
- 33:15after. I have a playing career. Sabres, sabres,
- 33:25a lot of sabre shit. Not surprising. St. Louis,
- 33:28I traded February 28th. He was traded with Steve
- 33:33Ott for Homock, Stewart, and Willem Carrier.
- 33:35And two future traffics. Oh yeah, Vancouver and
- 33:38then... That's what I thought. You're making
- 33:41me doubt myself, but I was pretty confident.
- 33:43I thought he finished Vancouver, so that's...
- 33:46Okay, so yeah, Pat Maroon for Minnesota Edmonton.
- 33:58Okay. For Minnesota Buffalo. I know, I said Jason
- 34:05Zucker would fit in either one. Which one would
- 34:10be harder to fill? Oh, who else did we have up
- 34:14there? We were firing off names and everything.
- 34:15I said Jason, we said Jason Zucker, um, what
- 34:19was the other? Yeah, we were firing off fucking
- 34:20names like it was nothing. Yeah. Where did, um...
- 34:29Where did Lafontaine go? Oh, I know one too.
- 34:32Where? Um, Eric Stahl. Minnesota Buffalo. Yep.
- 34:37Then we can use Zucker for the other one. Good
- 34:39shit. Jason Zucker. We could have also done Eric
- 34:47Stahl and Minnesota Montreal, right? Yeah. I
- 34:50thought that one might be easier to get. So then
- 34:52we got Jason Zucker for Arizona Buffalo. I might
- 34:59as - we - if we can't think of someone, we -
- 35:02I screwed this up. Where has Max Domi played?
- 35:07Dallas, not Buffalo. Not Minnesota. He's played
- 35:13Montreal, Dallas, Toronto, Chicago, Arizona.
- 35:25Did Bukestad ever play for Montreal? Nick Bukestad.
- 35:37It's very intimidating with the clock fucking
- 35:40ticking above there. What about Petrie? He's
- 35:47only been like Detroit, Pittsburgh, Montreal.
- 35:59Not Koivu. Koivu played for both of them, but
- 36:02not the same one. Think Saku played for Montreal
- 36:05Mika played for Minnesota, but they never played
- 36:08for the neither of them played for both And we
- 36:16said we said Eric so could have also fit there
- 36:19But we're we're not don't like anybody else that
- 36:21would have played for Minnesota Buffalo And that's
- 36:25that's the issue he could have fit in both squares,
- 36:29so What about like gum thing back to let me make
- 36:32an Antini Emmy did he ever play for Minnesota?
- 36:37Can't tell but I don't think he ever played for
- 36:40He never he never paid for Montreal. This is
- 36:42the farthest he's has been as you know, St. Paul
- 36:45area or the Prince of the area Well, it's somebody
- 36:48like Halak, Yaroslav Halak Don't know if he played
- 36:52for Minnesota I Mean my best guess is Buke's
- 36:58dad, but I'm not confident that he played with
- 37:00Montreal I think Florida, Pittsburgh, Minnesota
- 37:04for sure. Minnesota, Arizona, Utah, Edmonton.
- 37:10Edmonton. That's my best guess that I can throw
- 37:15out there is Bukestead. Yeah, I'm trying. Yeah.
- 37:20I don't think he did. This is when I pull that
- 37:24in the ass maybe. Nah, damn. Ah, Bukestead. Eric
- 37:29so yeah, there's a tall Thomas Vannick tells
- 37:32you the order got chain gap nuts rise Jordy Ben
- 37:37John Scott or some other ones from Minnesota
- 37:41Buffalo That's the one we said and we forgot
- 37:50about him. Oh, that's what we mentioned, but
- 37:52then we forgot about him. Well, no, I Remember
- 37:55I had to put down for Buffalo three plus teams
- 37:57paid it And you said we weren't confident on
- 38:00Minnesota, so that's why we backed off of him.
- 38:03Because we weren't sure if he played for Minnesota,
- 38:04yeah. Great role -setting Matt Molson, Tyler
- 38:07Ennis, Josh. Man, Minnesota and Buffalo are really
- 38:11like making trades with each other. Apparently.
- 38:14Because there's a - Or players playing for the
- 38:15same team, at least. Yeah, there you go. Alright.
- 38:20It's honestly not horrible. Oh, we could also
- 38:24put fucking Wayne Gretzky on there. And then
- 38:26every number broke back bitch Wayne, uh, great.
- 38:29Okay. All right, curry Thanks, man. It's now
- 38:32yack off. Okay. I'm Talbot's and always New cheese
- 38:36juicy opening Samson off. We could we could find
- 38:40on that one. We'll fit in this one. Never mind
- 38:42All right, we try the uh the hurdle we've been
- 38:46doing Don't say him or mouth and give me most
- 38:56cider vibes. Hey, he's out. I don't think he's
- 38:58playing a game this year. He's playing right
- 39:00now. Is he right now? Yeah. I'll say most cider.
- 39:07Okay, it's in the Atlantic though. He's in the
- 39:09Atlantic. Yeah right up the division right up
- 39:10the mountain. Okay. He is not German. He's not
- 39:13a defense man. He's older than 26. Numbers lower
- 39:16than 53. 50. Lower than 50. Lower than 50. So
- 39:21let's guess somebody random from there. from
- 39:25Detroit. Where's um Skinner playing now? Oh Edmonton
- 39:30right? Edmonton? Yeah. And he wore 53 so wouldn't
- 39:34benefit. Oh yeah good call, good call. Somebody's
- 39:38like 26, 27 or older from the Atlantic. Never
- 39:45mind. Never mind. Do you want to go like? I'm
- 39:49trying to remember what number Tage Thompson
- 39:50is for Buffalo. 70 something. 72 I think. Well,
- 39:57so he's a center Americana. He's either 28 or
- 40:0129 years old, but his numbers are still pretty
- 40:05high. I couldn't remember what his number was,
- 40:07that's why I knew. But we're making steps, making
- 40:10steps. Where's, no I hurtled with Vegas, right?
- 40:13Yeah. Okay, he's a 28, 29 year old center on
- 40:20the Atlantic team. That's not not thought to
- 40:23be trying Suzuki He's been around for a while
- 40:30he's getting up he'd be fine I mean he might
- 40:33only be like 25, but oh He's trying to get the
- 40:36team for the number two Okay, he's 25 American
- 40:45That actually took off The other answer I was
- 40:52going to say, because I was going to initially
- 40:54say Cole Caulfield, but Mark Jarrow's not. Yeah.
- 40:57Pulled up again. The hair almost looked like
- 41:05Buffalo Day's Eichel. That's what I was thinking.
- 41:09But his hair is also curly when it gets long.
- 41:12That's the only issue. Oh, the bills tied it.
- 41:20Like I said, we're going back and forth with
- 41:22that. Let's just try to get the team out of the
- 41:24way here. Let's go somebody from Ottawa. Maybe
- 41:30like a... I can't really think of an American
- 41:33from Ottawa. I'm just gonna... Brady Kachak is
- 41:35the only one I can think of. Oh, Matt Kachak,
- 41:38could be. No, okay. Still 27, damn. Getting closer
- 41:45on the number. So the number is still between
- 41:46like 40... 9 to 23 More fair. Oh, what about
- 41:55um? Matthew nice isn't he American? Well, he's
- 41:59also still young to nevermind Yeah Not nothing
- 42:07can be Matthew's He's also is he wingers he center.
- 42:12He's a center. Yes, but that's that's like you
- 42:14get play wing That's not his hairdo. That's a
- 42:19problem. Could it be someone from Toronto, though?
- 42:26Mitch Marner? Well, no, he's Canadian. Never
- 42:29mind. It's number two. His number is 16. We could
- 42:35throw Matthews in there just to get to try to
- 42:38get the team the number. That's almost right
- 42:40in the middle for the number we would need. Below
- 42:4534, okay. He's 27 too, yeah. So between 22 and
- 42:5231. So teams were down to Ottawa, Boston, Tampa.
- 43:02Yeah, that's it. Ottawa, Boston, and Tampa. Try
- 43:07to think of younger guys on, mid -age guys on
- 43:12Boston. Not pasta obviously, he's like boys also
- 43:17Russian. It's Russian. Oh, he's not but he was
- 43:20like check or something I can tell you that Charlie
- 43:26coil he's like his numbers on 13. I think he's
- 43:30up. He's a little bit more up Mid -30s foe foe
- 43:35show Should've done this beforehand, but... Alright,
- 43:59yeah, we need to... Ottawa, Boston, Tampa...
- 44:04Oh, um... What was the number was? Oh, it can't
- 44:07be Braden Point. Point's 19. We could at least
- 44:10get the team if we guess Braden Point. I think
- 44:16he's a little... I think he's Canadian, too,
- 44:19but... Yeah. Oh, it is Tampa! Okay, it's Tampa
- 44:22Bay. Tampa, 28. His number is 22, 23. Who does
- 44:27that leave? Oh, fuck. Center. Is it one of their,
- 44:32like, 30 -somethings? It's one of their, like,
- 44:35third or fourth time centers, because their top
- 44:38two centers are points. It's like that, like,
- 44:43Michael Essiemont or something? Is that his name?
- 44:49Essiemont? Like, E -S -S -Y? I know he's, like,
- 44:51number 23 or something. If you want to try it.
- 45:02Yeah. Yeah. Oh, what a fucking pull. You pulled
- 45:05it out of your ass, man. I knew it was, I knew
- 45:09it like once immediately like when we got Tampa
- 45:11it had to be someone on their bottom. Yeah, I
- 45:13knew, I wasn't even positive on his position,
- 45:16but I knew he was number 23 and I knew his age
- 45:18was close to that. But I wasn't, I also wasn't
- 45:21positive on his nationality. But I also wasn't
- 45:24positive that he was on Tampa. I knew, I was
- 45:27pretty positive he was 23. Damn, all right. What
- 45:30a poll. Hell, yeah Yeah, yeah, but uh, no jump
- 45:40into our little Little mini games we got Tony
- 45:43get your binary games ready. Yeah, Jeff. Why
- 45:45don't you pull yours? Yeah, bring yours up. Why
- 45:47pull mine up? I actually have one this week as
- 45:51well. So both my stages here, I guess All right,
- 45:56I have three this week three, okay Know I screwed
- 46:00up on last week on the last episode a little
- 46:04bit. Um This is between higher loader. This is
- 46:09between Brandon Shen or Jordan Eberle Eberle
- 46:15was drafted later than Shannon. Brandon Shen?
- 46:19Yeah. And Jordan Eberle? Yeah, pretty sure. I
- 46:22thought Jordan Eberle was like a top ten pick
- 46:24He was one of those I was drafted in like the
- 46:26couple years that Edmonton like had like Three
- 46:28first rounders, like a top five. So you think
- 46:32Shen is higher? I think Eberle is higher. I said
- 46:39Vader is lower. Actually, Colin was right that
- 46:47Eberle was lower. Shen was drafted 2009 in the
- 46:54first round. Fifth pick overall. Everly was picked
- 46:58first round by 22nd. Who's 22nd? When was Shen
- 47:03drafted? 09. Or the what, like, overall? Um,
- 47:085th overall in the first round. Damn Shen, really?
- 47:11Wow. Hmm. Alright, higher or lower, Sonny Milano
- 47:17drafted higher or lower than TJ Brody. Where
- 47:23do you get these, you pull these names out of
- 47:25your ass? I just do it, I'm like... You squeeze
- 47:29the wheel... That one! That one, like... Sonny
- 47:32Milano and T .J. Brody. I couldn't tell you who
- 47:37Milano was drafted by. Because I don't think
- 47:39it was Anaheim. I was actually surprised. Was
- 47:41it Anaheim? I'm pretty sure it was Anaheim. It
- 47:42was Columbus. Yeah, I knew it wasn't Anaheim.
- 47:48Columbus and I was kind of surprised on the ear,
- 47:50too. Milano was earlier than Brody. I'll agree,
- 47:56yeah. Actually, Brody was later, actually. Yeah,
- 47:59Milano, yeah. Was earlier than Milano. Oh, wow.
- 48:04When was Milano drafted, like 2010? Milano was
- 48:08in 2014, Brody was 2008. Wow, yeah. Damn, very...
- 48:14Oh, wait, I might... Are you... You're going
- 48:17off of draft picks, like when you're drafting...
- 48:19Yeah, higher or... Yeah, you're saying by the
- 48:22year. He's a birdie was like well, I'll just
- 48:24give you an estimate idea but overall the pick
- 48:28like birdie was you have to hire then Yeah, I'm
- 48:31sorry. I just I I heard you say he used to like
- 48:33Brody was trapped away versus Malano's 14. Actually,
- 48:36okay lower Brody was lower than Milano like higher
- 48:41in the draft. Yes, like lower pick then yeah
- 48:44Damn right Last one last one Was again Davidoff
- 48:55higher or lower than Aaron Eklat? Davidoff was
- 49:00later in the draft. Eklat was number one. Yeah,
- 49:02Eklat was in the first overall 2014. 2014, correct.
- 49:07Yep, you guys were correct on that one. Davidoff
- 49:09on the same, was like maybe second round? Um,
- 49:12Davidoff was third round, tenth pick overall.
- 49:15Third round, okay. Wow. Alright, well, I... After
- 49:22a heartbreaking buff for the loss, that's uh
- 49:24That's uh, that's that's probably the most heartbreaking
- 49:29I've felt for a team that wasn't my own team
- 49:32to lose As much as I just I mean as much as I
- 49:36don't want it to be the fucking Chiefs We have
- 49:39a chance to see history see the first NFL team
- 49:41in history to three Pete I don't wanted to see
- 49:44I don't want it to be the fucking Chiefs, but
- 49:46a chance to see history. I mean good to see it
- 49:49twice this year See the Chiefs be the first team
- 49:51to 3 -P and we'll make it to the COV, break the
- 49:53record. Yeah. Anyways, yeah, Colin's got some
- 49:58more blind rankings for us here. Alright, teams
- 50:01at the halfway point of the season. This year's
- 50:07teams, okay. This season's teams. Are they doing
- 50:11great? Are they playing like shit? First up,
- 50:16the Blue Jackets. They're they're on the bubble.
- 50:20They're all bubble team. Yeah, they are I said
- 50:23when we did our standings episode I said they
- 50:26were gonna be playing for pride in it. I was
- 50:28gonna say it's actually coming. Thanks for coming
- 50:30up here I think they have I think they had the
- 50:32second one entirely tied with Tampa Bay for the
- 50:34wild card spot right now, so Give them the second
- 50:37cycle through you got Jersey in the third from
- 50:39the metro I know Tampa has a number one. 55 points.
- 50:51Yeah Columbus. So they have the second wild card
- 50:54spot at 55. I think Tampa has a tie break because
- 50:57they have a game in hand. I don't think they're
- 51:03three though. But they're not five. So I think
- 51:07even down at four? Yeah. You called that? At
- 51:12number four you got CBJ. The Toronto Maple Leafs
- 51:17first in the amantic Second in the east. Are
- 51:21they that good? I think second in the east right
- 51:23now. They're second east only to the capitals.
- 51:26Really? Yeah Like always they're gonna do they're
- 51:31gonna pull if they do the rego season then This
- 51:35is just how they're doing as of right now the
- 51:392024 2025 season Yeah, they're first and then
- 51:42they have taken 62 points. They're one point
- 51:45over second place, Florida both of them have
- 51:4815 games fader. Oh They're third. I'm sorry.
- 51:51They're third in the East behind Carolina and
- 51:54Washington and they are seventh in the league
- 51:58Okay, so there's only realistically 16 he can
- 52:02give us to go above them. Is he gonna do one
- 52:04probably two probably? Two or three Do we want
- 52:11to try to put him at one? A sneaky one? I don't
- 52:15know. What will I do? I say guaranteed at least
- 52:21two. Do we try to sneak him in at one? That's
- 52:24what I'm trying to be. I'm like, do I want to
- 52:27put him in at one? He's been fucking with us.
- 52:28We could sneak him in at one. Okay. Is that locker?
- 52:35What do you say? I say sneak them in the one.
- 52:41Sneak them in the one? I'm gonna sneak them in
- 52:42the one. First round exits at number one. Yep.
- 52:47Alright, next up. Washington. Of course. First
- 52:53in the East, oh first Metro, first in the East,
- 52:56first in the League. I think they're the best
- 52:58in the League right now. They are the best in
- 52:59the League. Well you gotta put them at two then.
- 53:00Yeah. You gotta put that at two. I was gonna
- 53:03say they are currently tied with Winnipeg at
- 53:0571 points, but... have the tiebreaker because
- 53:08they have two teams at hand. All right, Boston.
- 53:18Oh, I mean they really have not been that good
- 53:20this year. They're not doing, they're not on
- 53:22a very good streak. I think they're maybe out
- 53:24of a playoff spot as of right now. So that is
- 53:26out of sync now. Currently, the wild card goes
- 53:30as this. Boston holds number one. At 56 points,
- 53:35Tampa has the number two at 55, and Columbus
- 53:38is number three at 55. I was wrong. Tampa has
- 53:4448 games played versus Columbus has 50. So, Tampa
- 53:49has three games in hand over Boston, and Columbus
- 53:51only has one. But either way, that's not what
- 53:55we're doing. It's Boston. Do we put what? You
- 54:06almost want to put in that three, but I'm not
- 54:08feeling he's gonna give us like Winnipeg or something
- 54:10here Or as he could give us Pittsburgh. I don't
- 54:13know what I have I Think you get one with the
- 54:17three. Yeah, yeah, I mean Man you really like
- 54:23shit. I got a man that hasn't been here in weeks
- 54:25Detroit is my last one. Okay. I mean, yeah Yeah,
- 54:28that's I mean, that's they're doing decent, but
- 54:30I don't think I don't think they're in a playoff
- 54:31spot right now They're in the bubble hunt right
- 54:34now. Are they in the bubble? Yeah, you really
- 54:36like shitting on a man who's not here. Yeah,
- 54:39Detroit, they're sixth. They are four points
- 54:43out of the second wild card spot, with two games
- 54:46in hand on Boston. Wait, that's honestly not
- 54:48horrible, man. No. As of right now, if every
- 54:53team pays 51 games, they will not make it playoff
- 54:55spot. Excuse me. Anyway, that's not bad. Other
- 54:58than maybe swap Washington and Toronto, we'd
- 55:00do better. I'll take that. All right. My second
- 55:06one, my final one is greatest Swede all time.
- 55:11Oh, okay. Greatest Swede of all time. First up,
- 55:17Henrik Lundqvist. The king. Damn. Oh. I'm thinking
- 55:27again, middle or two. We're gonna have to bet.
- 55:34We can leave some wiggle room, but... Oh, man.
- 55:38We could go on all time. There's a lot of good
- 55:39sweets. There are so many good ones. Matt Sendine
- 55:41is up there. I'm... I'm okay with two or three,
- 55:49which one are you okay with? I'm okay with two.
- 55:51Two? Okay. Peter Forsberg. Peter Forsberg, yeah.
- 56:00That's kind of why I was looking for him to leave.
- 56:04Is he better than Matt Sundin is the question.
- 56:12I would say yes. I would say yes. I'd put Forsbury
- 56:16one. You're going to put him at one? I'm trying
- 56:19to think of some current Swedes that maybe it
- 56:22could be better. I said you got Carl... you got...
- 56:27Eric Carlson, William? Both William and Eric
- 56:34are sweet. Okay. I mean William Carlson I don't
- 56:37think would be better than anybody on this list.
- 56:40No. I feel like you guys are both overthinking
- 56:45this and not thinking about it at all. Yeah.
- 56:49I'd say three. Jeff? I initially said one so
- 56:54we're kind of... I'm just things I feel like
- 56:57there's one obvious one that we're missing. That's
- 56:59gonna be a clear one So we get him if he gives
- 57:02us sending books, you need a four and then the
- 57:05other one is five but I'm okay with I feel like
- 57:13the same thing But put them on one fuck it put
- 57:19them out one, okay Three on my list, Daniel Alfredson.
- 57:29Alfredson, okay, alright. That's actually not
- 57:32a bad one. That's not a bad one. That's another
- 57:34one though, if he does give us Matt Sundin, is
- 57:37Matt Sundin better than Alfredson? You guys are
- 57:40saying Matt Sundin is like, I would put him on
- 57:42this list. I could, but like, he's your go -to
- 57:46guy right now, isn't he? I'm just trying to keep
- 57:49him in mind if you do use him. Alfredson... We
- 57:55really want to do the one, two, three and then
- 57:57go all the way down. With all due respect to
- 58:03him, I'd almost have to put him at four, I think.
- 58:07Yeah. With all due respect to the only Alfredson.
- 58:15Uh, the next person on the list, Victor Hedman.
- 58:20Oh, man. I won't give him at three, though. You
- 58:25want to try to save three? I want to try to save
- 58:28three, put them in five. Put them in five? That
- 58:30one hurts, but... That hurts, but... Yeah, I
- 58:34feel like he might give us an EK here. He might
- 58:36give us, yeah, he might give us a Dean. Could
- 58:40he give us either the Sudines? I think the Sudines
- 58:41are both Swedish. Yes. Alright. I'm gonna surprise
- 58:46you here. I hope he knows. This is back -to -back
- 58:53line rankings where you're insulting a man who
- 58:56hasn't been here in weeks Nick Lindstrom, okay.
- 59:03No, I mean that's three. That's honestly that's
- 59:05honestly fair though. I don't see fair. Honestly,
- 59:07I would have put I want to I would have done
- 59:10make Yeah, I could have bounced back before as
- 59:12my question in strong, but those two would have
- 59:14been wanted to I think this top three can be
- 59:17Think rearranged in any one of those top three.
- 59:19Yeah, I be rearranged in any order. I agree There's
- 59:22argument I think for any one of those three to
- 59:24be arranged in top three for you. I'm not mad
- 59:27with that though Pretty solid. I'm not mad at
- 59:30that one Again, if Ethan was here man, he wouldn't
- 59:35hear I say he'd be fighting for her. He'd be
- 59:39pissed Let's see, there's one, two, uh, three.
- 59:56Three times so far that we've, you know, we would
- 1:00:00have pissed Ethan off severely on this. I think
- 1:00:03the one that irritated the most was the gold
- 1:00:06tender one. Let's not talk about it. Let's not
- 1:00:08talk about it. I'm still irritated from it. You
- 1:00:10guys are fucking morons for that, okay? And I'm
- 1:00:13not gonna ever do you down. well he had a feeling
- 1:00:17the whole time and didn't say anything so he
- 1:00:20could have spoken up like oh kyle this idiot
- 1:00:23this guy's left a fucking moron great now i have
- 1:00:29one a little minigame for us as well i can give
- 1:00:32you a test one i get for calm before you got
- 1:00:35here this is i'm gonna give you there are three
- 1:00:38different categories i have a total of 10 players
- 1:00:41for each category i'll list up the first one
- 1:00:45You can guess whatever random category you think
- 1:00:47you might fall under. For example, I'll do an
- 1:00:49example right now. I'll do a different one than
- 1:00:51I gave you so we can, um, you know. Um, let me
- 1:00:56try to think. Uh, Chris LaTang. Defenseman. Defenseman.
- 1:01:09Yeah. I could have been Chris LaTang, Kil McCarr,
- 1:01:12Victor Headman. Roman Yossi. So keep going and
- 1:01:17keep going until you can eventually get the correct
- 1:01:21category. Alright? Okay. Alright. So first category,
- 1:01:27Victor Headman. Scott Niedermeyer. Captains.
- 1:01:48I guess. No. All right, Kael McCarr. Oh, Stanley
- 1:01:55Cup Champions. No. That's actually a good one.
- 1:02:05Pass. Duncan Keith. Con Smythe winners. Con Smythe
- 1:02:10winners. Oh, fuck. Good job, Jeff. Other names
- 1:02:14were Justin Williams, Jonathan Quick, Jonathan
- 1:02:17Taze, Cindy Crosby, Evgeny Malkin, and Andrei
- 1:02:19Dazaleski. Next category, Mike Rupp. I'm trying
- 1:02:32to think, is Overtime Hero a winner? I bet it
- 1:02:40is. Brad Boys. That's why I put those first two
- 1:02:47to fuck with you guys, so you guys would guess
- 1:02:49former hunters. Yeah. Yeah, I'm passing on this
- 1:02:54one. Yeah. Derek Brassard. So then, Matt D. Shane.
- 1:03:13Former OHL players? No, not a bad guess though
- 1:03:20Can't tell it I Feel like as soon as it comes
- 1:03:30that the answer counts to hit us with 50 pounds
- 1:03:33of what the fuck yeah That's dope Max Doney Can
- 1:03:48you go through the list again? I'll repeat what
- 1:03:50you already said. Mic Rup, Brad Boys, Derek Brassard,
- 1:03:53Matt Duchesne, Cam Talbot, Nikes Adoni. Former
- 1:03:57of Nikes Adoni. No, not a bad guess though. Still
- 1:04:15blanking? Yeah. Eric Stahl. Nope. Taylor Hall.
- 1:04:34Why is this one so fucking tough? Like, I don't
- 1:04:39know how all these players are connected. I'll
- 1:04:41give you a hint. Think of longevity. Think of
- 1:04:47like the longevity of their careers like think
- 1:04:50of all these players entire careers For multiple
- 1:04:59teams, I've been being trapped it's a specific
- 1:05:03number I'm looking for. Oh Five teams players
- 1:05:15that have played for at least five different
- 1:05:16teams. Yeah, okay last two were Craig Anderson
- 1:05:19and out Okay, yeah, it's a cat like I was going
- 1:05:23through Taylor. You can tell I was going through
- 1:05:25a table I was going through like boys I was thinking
- 1:05:30you guys might have might have gone in when you
- 1:05:32got to camp Talbot and then maybe don't me Thank
- 1:05:36you, I got one more. All right first Carter for
- 1:05:41Hagee that advance wouldn't have worked for him.
- 1:05:53What were you going to say? I was going to say
- 1:05:55players that were brought up through the Sabres
- 1:05:57age of franchise. Oh no. Nothing. Okay. Brooks
- 1:06:09Orphek. No. Mark Messier. American Warner Players?
- 1:06:27No. Not a bad guess. Was Messier American? I
- 1:06:31don't know. I don't even know if Verhage is American.
- 1:06:35I think he is. I know Orphe is. I know Orphe
- 1:06:37is. Brooks Orphe is named after Mr. Herb Brooks.
- 1:06:42Oh yeah. No? No. Vlad Teresenko. Players that
- 1:06:55are drafted blades but still want to stay in
- 1:06:57the cup? No. Because Orpik was... Kind of on
- 1:07:02the right track. Orpik was the seventh. Verhege
- 1:07:07was the sixth. Teresango was the fifth. You're
- 1:07:10getting there. You're thinking right. Next, Jonathan
- 1:07:16Quick. Or was it undrafted? No, Teresango never
- 1:07:22went undrafted. Never mind. Next one. Craig Adams.
- 1:07:48No? Matt Cullen. Chris Kunitz. Oh my God. Yeah,
- 1:08:16I'm drawing things here, man. Alex Martinez.
- 1:08:25And last one, Pat Maroon. I want to say no, because
- 1:08:36bro... No. Did you throw a guess out there? Yeah.
- 1:08:44It was either, I was about to read it out before
- 1:08:47the stream, players that want to stay in the
- 1:08:50cup with their second team, or second or third
- 1:08:52team, or players playing for their hometown team,
- 1:08:57per se. Or winning a cup with their hometown
- 1:08:58team. You almost had it. It's players that have
- 1:09:00won a cup with multiple different teams. Okay,
- 1:09:04with more than what with two at least two different
- 1:09:06teams. Yeah, cuz Orpik did it with capital Washington
- 1:09:09Yeah, Verhege with Tampa Florida Teresanga with
- 1:09:13Florida and St. Louis quick with Vegas and LA
- 1:09:17I remember with the other team Adams did but
- 1:09:20um or Cullen but also Kuditz Anaheim. Cullen
- 1:09:23was Carolina at Pittsburgh. Carolina at Pittsburgh.
- 1:09:26That's right. Martinez Pittsburgh or LA in Vegas
- 1:09:30now, right? Maroon, obviously. St. Louis, Tampa.
- 1:09:35Yeah. And Messier, what? LA and New York. No,
- 1:09:40not LA. Edmonton and New York. And the Rangers.
- 1:09:43Carolina as well, for Craig Adams. Okay, Craig
- 1:09:46Adams was the other one, yeah. Okay. Yeah, Craig
- 1:09:49Adams, all of them drafted by the Hartford Winters
- 1:09:53in 96. One in 06 with the Carolina Hurricanes,
- 1:09:57and then 09 with... Craig Adams was drafted in
- 1:10:0196? Yeah, he was born April 26, 1977. Wow, so
- 1:10:10he's gonna be 40 in like a couple years. 47.
- 1:10:13That'll be 50. He's 47 now. He'll be 50, damn.
- 1:10:15He'll be 48 this year. Damn. Damn, damn, damn.
- 1:10:20Playing career 99 to 2015. That was a good one
- 1:10:26for Jeff, got that first one pretty quickly.
- 1:10:30The cons by the winners. Yeah Yeah, then we you
- 1:10:33guys got what the five teams on the eighth on
- 1:10:36Taylor Hall Yeah, and then didn't get that didn't
- 1:10:39get that last one I thought that I thought you
- 1:10:41guys would miss the second one and not get the
- 1:10:43third one, but Well, here we are. I thought you
- 1:10:47would miss the second one and get the third one.
- 1:10:48Sorry, but All right So if we feel like that
- 1:10:53I can try to come up with more as well So each
- 1:10:55each have our own little mini game every every
- 1:10:57week and try to keep that going Yeah. All right,
- 1:11:02and that will do it for this week's episode.
- 1:11:05A little bit shorter than we usually have had
- 1:11:07been recently. I know we've been averaging about
- 1:11:08an hour and a half -ish. This one's a little
- 1:11:10shorter than that, but... It's only been down
- 1:11:12to three of us now. Yeah, so... Three of us with
- 1:11:14the same IQ. Yeah, pretty much. No, I'm not testing
- 1:11:20Ethan. Ethan's pretty good, but... Actually,
- 1:11:24we have a higher IQ with...
