- 0:58Speaker 1: You to do that?
- 1:05Speaker 5: You love?
- 1:06Speaker 1: You know you gotta turn I can't.
- 1:40Speaker 4: I got to turn about, turn probably got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 4: the mouth, turn out a wad of the morning up.
- 1:50Speaker 6: Make me.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come out?
- 1:59Speaker 7: You think that, Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 7: You're listening to the voice, come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 7: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well,
- 2:12Speaker 7: nothing changes about that. Nothing changes about that.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Man. I was just getting ready to come on the
- 2:20Speaker 2: air this morning.
- 2:23Speaker 7: I was just thinking, man, I was just having a
- 2:26Speaker 7: reflective moment of just how really good God has been
- 2:30Speaker 7: to me. I just it's it's it's man. Let me
- 2:36Speaker 7: just say that again, how really good God has been
- 2:40Speaker 7: to me. And here's a cold part. In spite of myself,
- 2:45Speaker 7: you understand, in spite of all my shortcomings, in spite
- 2:50Speaker 7: of all of my flaws and and and and in
- 2:55Speaker 7: spite of all of what anybody has said about me, God,
- 3:00Speaker 7: through his grace and mercy, just keeps me anyway, So
- 3:04Speaker 7: many of us are exceptional people, but we refuse.
- 3:12Speaker 2: To just go ahead and be exceptional.
- 3:15Speaker 7: We settle for the ordinary, We follow the pack, We
- 3:22Speaker 7: try to fit in. Man, oh man, oh man, You know,
- 3:25Speaker 7: I've heard my wife say this to my children all
- 3:29Speaker 7: the time. When she's scold him or talking to him,
- 3:31Speaker 7: She'll be talking to him about leadership. You know, why
- 3:34Speaker 7: are you following everybody when God clearly made you to lead?
- 3:38Speaker 7: So many of us are born, and so many of
- 3:40Speaker 7: you are born to be exceptional people, but we always
- 3:45Speaker 7: trying to follow the pack. Why would you try to
- 3:49Speaker 7: fit in? Why would you try to be like everybody
- 3:54Speaker 7: else be ordinary? Why would you follow the pack when
- 3:59Speaker 7: God has created you to be exceptional? The key word
- 4:03Speaker 7: in exceptional is except you. Ever you ever dine this
- 4:07Speaker 7: right here? You know, everybody did that accept me. Everybody
- 4:12Speaker 7: felt that way except me. Everybody said that except me.
- 4:18Speaker 7: Everybody won't wanted that, accept me. Everybody went over that
- 4:24Speaker 7: except me. Everybody jumped in except me except me. See
- 4:31Speaker 7: why have you said that in your life if you
- 4:34Speaker 7: were not to be exceptional? See you got to say
- 4:38Speaker 7: everybody except me at one point in yo to I
- 4:41Speaker 7: don't know who ain't done it? You know, everybody wanted.
- 4:44Speaker 7: Everybody voted no except me. See, so you're not You're
- 4:50Speaker 7: not created to follow the pack. You ain't created to
- 4:53Speaker 7: fit in. You ain't created to, uh, you know, to
- 4:56Speaker 7: be ordinary. You were created to be exceptional, as exceptional
- 5:01Speaker 7: as your fingerprint on your finger is. You were created
- 5:05Speaker 7: to be exceptional. Why not make this the year that
- 5:09Speaker 7: you go head on and be exceptional? Why won't this
- 5:13Speaker 7: be the year that you decide in your mind? But
- 5:16Speaker 7: just has to be a decision that we make. Now
- 5:19Speaker 7: we not following the pack no more. We not trying
- 5:22Speaker 7: to fit in no more. We ain't settling for ordinary
- 5:26Speaker 7: no more. We're gonna be exceptional. But you know you
- 5:30Speaker 7: got to go ahead and follow that. You got to
- 5:32Speaker 7: get on the exceptional path because that's what you were
- 5:34Speaker 7: created for.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Why be ordinary? You know?
- 5:37Speaker 7: But all of this this comes It has to start
- 5:40Speaker 7: with a thought. You got to first think something. Thoughts
- 5:45Speaker 7: become things. A man is as he thinketh that's all
- 5:50Speaker 7: you will ever be. So what are your thoughts today?
- 5:54Speaker 7: Why not have exceptional thoughts instead of ordinary thoughts? Why
- 5:58Speaker 7: not have exceptional thoughts instead? That'll fit me in thoughts?
- 6:01Speaker 7: So why you want to be like everybody else? Why
- 6:04Speaker 7: you want to be ordinary when you could possibly be
- 6:07Speaker 7: extraordinary with a change of your mind, a change of
- 6:11Speaker 7: your venue, And you don't have to be any other
- 6:14Speaker 7: kind of way just because my mama was this, well,
- 6:17Speaker 7: my daddy was this way, or this the school I
- 6:19Speaker 7: went to?
- 6:20Speaker 1: This?
- 6:20Speaker 2: What race I belong to?
- 6:22Speaker 7: This is my sexual preference, this is my this, this
- 6:25Speaker 7: is my dad?
- 6:26Speaker 2: How many? How many? How many excuses you need? I mean,
- 6:29Speaker 2: I'm any excuse?
- 6:30Speaker 8: What? What?
- 6:30Speaker 2: What? What?
- 6:31Speaker 7: What's it gonna be this year that we let another
- 6:34Speaker 7: three hundred and sixty five days slip by without improving
- 6:38Speaker 7: our condition, our place, our spot, our life, the quality
- 6:43Speaker 7: of life we have. We cannot afford to keep letting
- 6:48Speaker 7: all these years go by without changing. You're an exceptional person.
- 6:55Speaker 7: How many times have you set up and said, everybody
- 6:58Speaker 7: did that accept me? You know I was only everybody
- 7:02Speaker 7: jumped in except me. I told him I knew it.
- 7:06Speaker 7: Everybody voted for that except me, And now look at us, man,
- 7:11Speaker 7: it seemed like everybody went that way except me.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Okay, do you get it?
- 7:18Speaker 7: Do you understand what's being said to you that all
- 7:22Speaker 7: accept me is because.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Couldn't it be because.
- 7:25Speaker 7: You're an exceptional person, and it's time for you to
- 7:28Speaker 7: take control of that. It's time for you to start
- 7:31Speaker 7: thinking different. It's time for you to start acting on
- 7:34Speaker 7: what you think. It's time for you to start doing
- 7:37Speaker 7: something about it. It's time for you to stop taking
- 7:39Speaker 7: each and every day that God gives us for granted
- 7:42Speaker 7: and letting them go by the wayside. Like you got
- 7:45Speaker 7: plenty more. Well, you may have plenty more, but guess
- 7:48Speaker 7: what what you wasting the ones you got for? I
- 7:52Speaker 7: got you young, and you feel like you're gonna live forever. Eh, okay, cool,
- 7:57Speaker 7: But let me ask you something. See here the part
- 8:00Speaker 7: about I suppose you do live. See see everybody worrying
- 8:04Speaker 7: about dying. But I got news for you. Suppose you
- 8:06Speaker 7: keep on living. You want to keep living in the condition.
- 8:09Speaker 2: You in now.
- 8:10Speaker 7: You want to keep living with the money you got now.
- 8:13Speaker 7: You want to keep living with the relationship you got now.
- 8:16Speaker 7: You want to keep living by yourself like you are now.
- 8:19Speaker 7: You want to keep wanting the right relationship, the right
- 8:21Speaker 7: man to the right woman, but you keep getting the
- 8:23Speaker 7: wrong one. You want to keep doing that for the
- 8:25Speaker 7: rest of your life. Problem ain't dying. There's problem is
- 8:28Speaker 7: if you keep on living who wants to keep on
- 8:31Speaker 7: living just the way they are right now. And if
- 8:34Speaker 7: you could say I'm cool, what I am? Just the
- 8:36Speaker 7: way I am right now? In cool, this conversation ain't
- 8:39Speaker 7: for you. Ain't got no problem with that, you know,
- 8:42Speaker 7: you know what I say. Greatness ain't for everybody. Being exceptional,
- 8:46Speaker 7: ain't for everybody. Becoming extraordinary, ain't for everybody. Heck, becoming
- 8:51Speaker 7: successful ain't for everybody. I got it. And you can
- 8:55Speaker 7: come up with a way to justify your non existence
- 8:58Speaker 7: and your ordinary life all you won't.
- 9:00Speaker 2: And that's fine and dandy. I ain't got no problem
- 9:02Speaker 2: with it.
- 9:03Speaker 7: Because some people just gonna be regular, Some people just
- 9:07Speaker 7: gonna follow the pack, follow the crowd. Some people just
- 9:10Speaker 7: wants to fit in. But if you're not that person,
- 9:13Speaker 7: if you want to be extraordinary, if you want to
- 9:16Speaker 7: be exceptional, if you want to be if you want
- 9:19Speaker 7: a dad to be great at something, and you got
- 9:21Speaker 7: to change your mindset. You got to get what your
- 9:24Speaker 7: creator and find out what he created you for. You
- 9:27Speaker 7: got to quit thinking of things just in your own
- 9:29Speaker 7: thought process, you know, lean not to your own understanding.
- 9:33Speaker 7: I don't know where that is, but it's in there.
- 9:35Speaker 7: Somewhere seeing. Once you lean, if you lean to your
- 9:38Speaker 7: own understanding, you know what it's gonna do. It's gonna
- 9:40Speaker 7: limit you. Man, it's gonna limit you. Why not see
- 9:44Speaker 7: what God got for you. I would rather know what
- 9:47Speaker 7: God got for me than to think of all the
- 9:49Speaker 7: things I could because I can't out think him out
- 9:51Speaker 7: and tried it before.
- 9:53Speaker 2: All right, it's just the beginning. We're gonna have a
- 9:55Speaker 2: good one.
- 9:55Speaker 8: Man.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Let's go your listeners to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, everybody that can hear
- 10:07Speaker 7: my voice. If you can hear my voice, that's a blessing.
- 10:11Speaker 7: And I don't mean it from the standpoint of hearing
- 10:13Speaker 7: me is a blessing. I'm talking about from the standpoint
- 10:17Speaker 7: of being alive and well. To heal the radios, to
- 10:21Speaker 7: hear what you know, to wake up and get into
- 10:24Speaker 7: your routine, to wake up, to be awaken and start
- 10:27Speaker 7: your day.
- 10:28Speaker 2: That's a blessing.
- 10:29Speaker 8: Man.
- 10:29Speaker 7: Please don't overlook this thing that so many people take
- 10:32Speaker 7: for granted, because it don't have to be. It does
- 10:36Speaker 7: not have to be congratulation to everybody that wakes up
- 10:39Speaker 7: with gratitude. That's the way to start your day. This
- 10:42Speaker 7: is a Steve Harvey Morning Show. Shelly Strawberry calling for
- 10:44Speaker 7: real Mississippi Monica, Tommy ain't here today, and Junior, what
- 10:49Speaker 7: is pray Tale on your mind today?
- 10:54Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 10:54Speaker 2: I tell you it's on my mind.
- 10:57Speaker 9: Talk about being mentally tough. You've seen so much, You've
- 11:03Speaker 9: seen just about you probably weren't the wisest person I've known.
- 11:06Speaker 9: But you say mainly strong. When did you get that?
- 11:10Speaker 9: When did you get that attribute? Or would you have
- 11:13Speaker 9: to go put in through it.
- 11:14Speaker 2: To get it?
- 11:15Speaker 7: Well, you know it started a long time ago. I
- 11:18Speaker 7: asked God to give me strength. So you know what,
- 11:22Speaker 7: He gave me a lot of trouble to pick up.
- 11:26Speaker 7: So in learning how to pick up all that trouble,
- 11:29Speaker 7: trouble is like weight.
- 11:31Speaker 2: In picking up all that weight, I got stronger.
- 11:35Speaker 7: It's a crazy thing, man, because everything you want in
- 11:39Speaker 7: life is on the other side of uncomfortable. You got
- 11:43Speaker 7: to go through some discomfort to get comfortable. A life
- 11:47Speaker 7: of convenience is built through a series of very uncomfortable
- 11:51Speaker 7: and inconvenient moments.
- 11:54Speaker 2: That's how you build a life of convenience.
- 11:57Speaker 7: So I've gotten strong about the grace of God because
- 12:02Speaker 7: He's giving me enough heavy stuff to lift, and I
- 12:05Speaker 7: just did it. And I did it without giving up. Now,
- 12:09Speaker 7: I'm not saying I did it without thinking about quitting.
- 12:12Speaker 7: I didn't do it without getting tired in wondering Lord,
- 12:15Speaker 7: how long this's gonna last. I didn't become this way
- 12:18Speaker 7: because I just did it and breezed through it. It
- 12:21Speaker 7: was no other option. Now, Man, I thought about quitting.
- 12:26Speaker 7: I thought about giving up. I thought about succumbing to
- 12:29Speaker 7: the pressure. I thought about laying all this down. But
- 12:34Speaker 7: I didn't. I didn't because he would always come along.
- 12:39Speaker 7: God would always provide a little moment of inspiration, a
- 12:43Speaker 7: sign that it's gonna be okay. You just got to
- 12:46Speaker 7: hang in there and whether the storm. It's the weathering
- 12:51Speaker 7: of the storm that turns you into somebody. But you
- 12:54Speaker 7: got to have the storm to appreciate the peaceful. See,
- 12:58Speaker 7: you would not appreciate unshine if it just was sunny
- 13:02Speaker 7: twenty four seven a day. No, it's got to get dark.
- 13:06Speaker 7: It's gotta get dark and then you go, wow, man,
- 13:09Speaker 7: it's nice out here today. You gotta get rain for
- 13:12Speaker 7: you to wake up and go, man, it's a nice
- 13:14Speaker 7: day to day. You got to go through some stunder
- 13:17Speaker 7: some thunderstorms and go man, peaceful day to day.
- 13:22Speaker 2: You got to go through that.
- 13:23Speaker 7: Everything you want in life is on the other side
- 13:26Speaker 7: of uncomfortable, and that's the great thing God has done
- 13:30Speaker 7: for me.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Let me make it through the uncomfortable.
- 13:34Speaker 6: You better talk, all right, guys, coming up at thirty
- 13:39Speaker 6: the hour here here then for the nephew, and we're

- 22:16Speaker 5: garbage while he praised Caitlin Clark. Caitlin Clark, Yeah, this
- 22:22Speaker 5: is he just means Mary Spears. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's
- 22:26Speaker 5: back ranting and rating. Yeah, all right, Moving on to
- 22:29Speaker 5: a Texas woman who's suing after she won eighty three
- 22:33Speaker 5: zero point five million dollars in Lotto Texas and didn't
- 22:36Speaker 5: get paid. And arrests are being made for alleged Yeah, yeah,
- 22:40Speaker 5: it's a lot of money. Arrests are being made for
- 22:43Speaker 5: alleged accomplices of the escapees at a New Orleans jail.
- 22:47Speaker 5: That's coming up at the top of the hour, all
- 22:49Speaker 5: of it. But right now it is time to ask
- 22:52Speaker 5: the COLO, our Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey, Are you.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Ready the l O?
- 22:58Speaker 2: All right?
- 22:59Speaker 5: Dana and Pitturg writes, My husband came home in his
- 23:03Speaker 5: gym clothes and said he went to the gym after work.
- 23:06Speaker 5: His work shirt was in a hamper, smelling like smoke
- 23:09Speaker 5: and grease.
- 23:11Speaker 1: He lied to me.
- 23:12Speaker 5: We have been happily married for eighteen years, so why
- 23:15Speaker 5: has he started lying?
- 23:18Speaker 7: No, he just told you a lie. He went out
- 23:22Speaker 7: with the boy's cigar and he didn't want you to know. Well,
- 23:27Speaker 7: they had a cigar.
- 23:28Speaker 2: That ain't lying.
- 23:29Speaker 7: He just didn't tell you where he was because he
- 23:32Speaker 7: didn't want to see here the part she leaving up.
- 23:35Speaker 7: He didn't want to backlash he didn't want to ask permission,
- 23:39Speaker 7: which is a woman's favorite thing to do. I found
- 23:43Speaker 7: y'all would rather ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.
- 23:46Speaker 7: So would a man do that? Now it's a lie.
- 23:50Speaker 7: I'm just that don't make no sense.
- 23:53Speaker 1: But this was clearly a lie.
- 23:55Speaker 5: He said he went to the gym after work, he
- 24:00Speaker 5: went to the jail.
- 24:01Speaker 7: He didn't tell you he also went to smoke a cigar.
- 24:07Speaker 13: What you say that withholding information isn't a lie either?
- 24:13Speaker 2: Hell hell no, that ain't.
- 24:17Speaker 5: No lie, Lord, she said, after eighteen years, why is
- 24:25Speaker 5: he suddenly started to lie?
- 24:27Speaker 1: So she just feels like he just started doing that.
- 24:30Speaker 2: No, he didn't just start, ma'am, I'm sorry.
- 24:34Speaker 7: Lying ain't nothing you pick up eighteen years in a marriage.
- 24:38Speaker 7: The reason y'all have been married eighteen years because he lied.
- 24:44Speaker 1: You want a happy luck, you got to lie, that's
- 24:47Speaker 1: what you're saying.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Let this man do like he'd been doing.
- 24:53Speaker 7: Wow, stop tripping all. She didn't find makeup on the collar.
- 24:57Speaker 7: She ain't found no woman's number. He didn't tell you
- 25:01Speaker 7: where he was going. We ain't gonna tell you everything.
- 25:05Speaker 1: But why do you have to lie?
- 25:06Speaker 8: Though?
- 25:07Speaker 1: That's the thing all right, so.
- 25:08Speaker 7: Right here, Why that's bothering you? You ain't y many
- 25:11Speaker 7: these people, man, I'm on handle man, people like y'all.
- 25:15Speaker 5: We're moving on to Angie and Tampa. Angie writes, my
- 25:20Speaker 5: sixteen year old son told me his girlfriend's dad has
- 25:23Speaker 5: a problem with his new diamond ear rings. I allowed
- 25:26Speaker 5: him to get his ears pierced for his sixteenth birthday.
- 25:30Speaker 5: He's my son, so I didn't need anyone's permission. Why
- 25:34Speaker 5: is he tripping over my son's ear rings?
- 25:37Speaker 2: She's referring to who tripping.
- 25:39Speaker 5: Her son's girlfriend's dad. It's tripping because his daughter's boyfriend
- 25:44Speaker 5: has earrings. Now the dad is the one that's tripping.
- 25:49Speaker 2: I mean, is your son. You can do what you
- 25:50Speaker 2: want to do.
- 25:51Speaker 7: Like you said, yeah, but as the father of his girlfriend.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Now you come in here with these diamonds in yours.
- 26:00Speaker 2: What was happening?
- 26:01Speaker 7: And you're sixteen, so he can he can He can
- 26:07Speaker 7: say what he want to say, you know, just like
- 26:09Speaker 7: you can do like you want to do. Because that's
- 26:11Speaker 7: your daughter. I mean, I mean, you know, that's your son.
- 26:15Speaker 7: He can say whatever he want to say because your
- 26:16Speaker 7: son dating his daughter.
- 26:19Speaker 2: That's all.
- 26:20Speaker 7: That's why he tripping because he probably wouldn't have did
- 26:23Speaker 7: that to his sixteen year old boy.
- 26:24Speaker 2: That's all. You all have a difference of opinion on
- 26:27Speaker 2: how you're raising your children.
- 26:29Speaker 7: You can't get mad because he don't agree.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Okay, all right, she was just what she wants to know.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Why is she tripped?
- 26:37Speaker 2: I wouldn't.
- 26:37Speaker 7: I wouldn't let my sixteen year old son put ear
- 26:41Speaker 7: rings in there years either. So when they went to college,
- 26:45Speaker 7: I told him, I said, I said, don't come here
- 26:46Speaker 7: with no ear rings and tattoos. You in this house
- 26:49Speaker 7: as soon as my other son went to college. Cool,
- 26:51Speaker 7: I ain't in the house.
- 26:52Speaker 2: No more tattoos.
- 26:55Speaker 5: Tut it up, all right? Moving on to Ramelo in Dallas.
- 27:03Speaker 5: Like that name Ramelo?
- 27:04Speaker 2: All right?
- 27:05Speaker 5: Ramelo says, I'm sexually assaulted by an older lady when
- 27:10Speaker 5: she comes to rehab for her ankle. She always brushes
- 27:14Speaker 5: up against my privates or pinches my butt, and she's
- 27:18Speaker 5: even said that my wife is so lucky to be
- 27:21Speaker 5: getting that.
- 27:22Speaker 1: It's gross. How do I politely stop her?
- 27:26Speaker 7: Why don't you just stop seeing her? Well here, physical therapist?
- 27:31Speaker 1: Right, yeah, well yeah, yeah.
- 27:33Speaker 2: I'm booked. Don't bring don't come down here.
- 27:35Speaker 1: No more.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Your old, nasty, touchy, feel yourself we booked.
- 27:43Speaker 5: Yeah, that's kind of offensive, not kind of, but it is.
- 27:47Speaker 7: Well, let me help you understand something too. And she
- 27:52Speaker 7: look old and beat up. If she was young and fine,
- 27:57Speaker 7: we would not be getting this letter.
- 27:59Speaker 2: I'm just tell you.
- 28:01Speaker 1: He says it's gross, but he wants to politely stop her. Yeah,
- 28:07Speaker 1: well just stop.
- 28:09Speaker 7: She ain't got to be your client, said, tell somebody else.
- 28:12Speaker 7: You want somebody else to work owner?
- 28:15Speaker 1: Okay, so your supervisor.
- 28:18Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm uncomfortable. I think it's gonna bring a bad
- 28:22Speaker 7: reflection on our clinic, in our department, and I would
- 28:26Speaker 7: like you to sign somebody else to her because I'm
- 28:29Speaker 7: feeling and here's the keyword, I'm feeling uncomfortable in the workplace.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Yes you learned that from a true.
- 28:37Speaker 2: But that I have to go to six times a year.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Yes, yes you do. All right, all right, great, great advice.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Feelow all right? Last one, last one.
- 28:48Speaker 8: Here we go.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Janita in Oaklawn.
- 28:50Speaker 5: Juanita writes, my husband is constantly playing games on his
- 28:55Speaker 5: phone and ignoring me. We went shopping and he sat
- 28:58Speaker 5: there in a corner playing instead of walking around with me.
- 29:02Speaker 5: How do I get his attention off the game and
- 29:04Speaker 5: on me. How do I spice things up?
- 29:08Speaker 2: Yeah? He tied you.
- 29:12Speaker 14: Wow.
- 29:12Speaker 1: See wait a minute. A lot of men don't like
- 29:18Speaker 1: to go shopping, but they will sit there.
- 29:20Speaker 7: In all honesty, you're taking a man shopping in the mall,
- 29:23Speaker 7: and most men are not interested in that. So give
- 29:26Speaker 7: yourself a break. It's not pay attention to you. He
- 29:30Speaker 7: don't want to be at the mall shopping, so he
- 29:32Speaker 7: rather play a game.
- 29:33Speaker 2: At least he's.
- 29:34Speaker 7: At the mall with you, and he's occupying his time
- 29:38Speaker 7: by playing the game.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Go shopping, enjoy your day, and come back and say
- 29:42Speaker 2: I'm ready now.
- 29:43Speaker 1: And they're cool.
- 29:45Speaker 7: Yeah, but you can't make a man stop trying to
- 29:48Speaker 7: make a man do something he's uncomfortable doing and he
- 29:50Speaker 7: don't really want to do. If you constantly make a
- 29:54Speaker 7: man do that, he's gonna get sick at you in
- 29:56Speaker 7: a minute. Yeah, spice things up. I'm gonna tell you
- 30:01Speaker 7: right now, it ain't gonna be down at that mall.
- 30:06Speaker 7: You want to get a spicy Yeah, we want to
- 30:09Speaker 7: get spicy.
- 30:10Speaker 2: We're gonna have to starve before we get to the mall.
- 30:14Speaker 1: The house, all right, Celo, thank you?
- 30:18Speaker 5: Coming up, at the top of the hour, we'll have
- 30:20Speaker 5: some entertainment news for you right after this.
- 30:24Speaker 2: I can't call it this.
- 30:25Speaker 7: Your man said to be entertainer and you're listening to
- 30:27Speaker 7: the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:29Speaker 5: That my doubt you're listening to Harvey Morning Show. Well,
- 30:38Speaker 5: comedian Airy Spears is at it again. Look, can we
- 30:41Speaker 5: all agree that he just needs to stop talking at
- 30:44Speaker 5: this point?
- 30:45Speaker 1: I mean he's trending again. He went on a rant. Yeah,
- 30:49Speaker 1: he went on a.
- 30:50Speaker 5: Rant on social media about just Chicago Sky's Angel Reese
- 30:56Speaker 5: I'm just gonna say it, and Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clarks.
- 31:00Speaker 5: Harshly compared the two players and started out his rent
- 31:03Speaker 5: by saying, it's not about race.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Now.
- 31:06Speaker 1: This is what he said on Instagram.
- 31:08Speaker 5: Spears called Angel Reese quote hot garbage and in the
- 31:13Speaker 5: same breath called Caitlin Clark saying she was bananas or
- 31:17Speaker 5: the truth. You know, those are positive, good terms.
- 31:21Speaker 1: He said that.
- 31:21Speaker 5: Maybe if Angel Rees spent more time in the gym
- 31:24Speaker 5: instead of trying to be a runway model and be cute,
- 31:27Speaker 5: we wouldn't have this problem. Spears said, we need to
- 31:30Speaker 5: stop using the race card. It's about ball. Who's good
- 31:34Speaker 5: and who's not. It was not just his message that
- 31:38Speaker 5: enraged the fans though. It's his profanity, it's his disrespectful jazz,
- 31:44Speaker 5: the ones he made at reethe So, I mean, come on,
- 31:49Speaker 5: first of all.
- 31:50Speaker 2: First of all, you can't say take race out of it, because.
- 31:55Speaker 7: Race is just prevalent in this country and everything. You
- 31:59Speaker 7: can't take race out of politics. You can't take race
- 32:01Speaker 7: out your job. You can't take race out of education,
- 32:04Speaker 7: you can't take race out the police department. You can't
- 32:07Speaker 7: take grace out of nothing. This country is racially sick.
- 32:14Speaker 7: So no, we can't take race out. Secondly, Angel Reese
- 32:18Speaker 7: is a bad girl. Angel Reese has every right to
- 32:22Speaker 7: walk down the runway on model clothes. Caitlyn Clark has
- 32:27Speaker 7: every right to do a state farm commercial.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Caitlin Clark can.
- 32:32Speaker 7: Ball and has helped change basketball, But he has helped
- 32:36Speaker 7: change basketball because of Angel Reese. These two were the
- 32:42Speaker 7: first players to come in the league. That was the
- 32:44Speaker 7: Larry Bird in Magic Johnson and they've never had that
- 32:48Speaker 7: in a WNBA before. Larry Bird and Magic Johnson came
- 32:52Speaker 7: in and single handedly doubled the viewership of the sports
- 32:57Speaker 7: because when they started as rivals in college and they
- 33:00Speaker 7: became the Lakers against the Celtics. What has happened is
- 33:04Speaker 7: they were rivals in college and now they're in the WNBA.
- 33:08Speaker 1: See.
- 33:08Speaker 7: People don't give credit to Angel for that, but Angel
- 33:11Speaker 7: is the reason Caitlyn Clark gets a lot of the
- 33:14Speaker 7: pubs she gets. It's Caitlyn Clark a great player, yes
- 33:17Speaker 7: she is. It's Angel Ree is a great player, Yes
- 33:20Speaker 7: she is. And what we've got to stop doing as
- 33:23Speaker 7: black men is finding a way to degrade black women.
- 33:28Speaker 7: You have an obligation to one another.
- 33:31Speaker 2: You make me.
- 33:32Speaker 7: Sick man when you act like every time you are
- 33:36Speaker 7: Robert Griffin. Third, keep your racist comments to yourself. If
- 33:43Speaker 7: you're not going to uplift sisters, what are you talking about,
- 33:48Speaker 7: because it's extra damaging to them. I feel for black women, man,
- 33:52Speaker 7: who when you hear something derogatory, it's got to be
- 33:55Speaker 7: coming from a black man.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Man hit show? Who are you sick? Showmen?
- 34:00Speaker 7: Monkey behind down somewhere and leave it alone. Look, man,
- 34:06Speaker 7: we have gone through enough as a people. We are
- 34:09Speaker 7: our own worst enemies and it sickens me. And we
- 34:13Speaker 7: take social media to perpetrate everything. Why are we so
- 34:19Speaker 7: ready to criticize each other? On social media. We are
- 34:22Speaker 7: in the tatou business of one another. We are our
- 34:25Speaker 7: own fault. Look man, when they doing stuff to me online,
- 34:29Speaker 7: and I know who it is when you comments in
- 34:32Speaker 7: the story, I know what it is.
- 34:35Speaker 2: It's us.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's us trying to take the down.
- 34:40Speaker 5: It's your own people. And you don't hear other men
- 34:43Speaker 5: and other races talk about their women in degrade their women.
- 34:47Speaker 7: You just don't what white man has said anything in
- 34:50Speaker 7: social media about Kaitlyn Cluk. Yeah right, what white man
- 34:59Speaker 7: is slam and Britney Spears.
- 35:01Speaker 2: What white man got something to say about Taylor Swift?
- 35:05Speaker 2: I don't hear it.
- 35:07Speaker 7: She need to go sit down some what we do
- 35:09Speaker 7: it to ourselves. You gotta be very careful of people
- 35:14Speaker 7: who degrade our people because something's wrong with them on
- 35:19Speaker 7: the inside. When you see these cats going on these
- 35:22Speaker 7: podcasts and talking about everybody else on the podcast except themselves,
- 35:28Speaker 7: why don't every Spears say what's.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Wrong with him?
- 35:30Speaker 8: Oh?
- 35:32Speaker 2: You ever thought of that?
- 35:33Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 35:34Speaker 7: I mean, look, brother, and you walcome to call in
- 35:36Speaker 7: on the shore and say youself and then and then
- 35:39Speaker 7: he's smart too, because every Spears is not stupid. So
- 35:42Speaker 7: when he says take this ain't about race. Angel Rea says,
- 35:47Speaker 7: hot garbage.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Hot garbage. But it's been about clark is ball fall,
- 35:55Speaker 1: it has it?
- 35:56Speaker 2: Has?
- 35:57Speaker 13: They The country made this about race with them when
- 36:00Speaker 13: they were in college on the beginning.
- 36:03Speaker 7: Because it's always race is a part of this country.
- 36:07Speaker 7: We live in a racist country. Yeah, this country was
- 36:11Speaker 7: built on racism. This country was stolen off racism. This
- 36:18Speaker 7: country is run on racism. Yeah, so stop saying that.
- 36:24Speaker 7: And when black people say it, who really ought to know?
- 36:28Speaker 7: But every spirits needs to wake up and realize. Man,
- 36:31Speaker 7: we have an obligation as black men to hold each
- 36:34Speaker 7: other up. And if you're not in to hold each
- 36:36Speaker 7: other up business man, then you and to tear down business.
- 36:39Speaker 7: And that's not what we need. So to all the
- 36:41Speaker 7: sisters out there that's working and striving, it's trying to
- 36:45Speaker 7: get it right, there are those of us who dearly
- 36:47Speaker 7: love you and appreciate it. And so y'all just keep
- 36:52Speaker 7: on doing what you're doing and hold your head up
- 36:54Speaker 7: because I'm gonna tell you right now, y'all the backborn
- 36:56Speaker 7: and this whole thing, to tell you the truth. I
- 36:59Speaker 7: might beat ahead of my house, but my wife is
- 37:02Speaker 7: the nick Yeah.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Wait, the man's world. But it would be nothing without
- 37:09Speaker 1: a woman or a girl. Yeah, all right, thank you,
- 37:13Speaker 1: thank you. We needed that, all right.
- 37:15Speaker 5: Coming up next, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey
- 37:17Speaker 5: Morning Show. Right after this. You're listening Dave Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:27Speaker 5: There's a recent zip recruiter survey that says seventy six
- 37:30Speaker 5: percent of all employers plan to hire for twenty twenty

- 37:55Speaker 5: from the New Orleans Justice Center in New Orleans, Louisiana,
- 37:59Speaker 5: State police are still arresting New Orleans residents that assisted
- 38:03Speaker 5: the ten escapees before and after the jail break. Now
- 38:07Speaker 5: check this out. A grandmother has been arrested along with
- 38:11Speaker 5: at least six others for allegedly helping the fugitives while
- 38:14Speaker 5: they were on the run. State police charged the grandmother
- 38:18Speaker 5: with one felony count of accessory after the fact, after
- 38:21Speaker 5: evidence showed that she communicated with her grandson Jermaine Donald
- 38:26Speaker 5: before and after the May sixteenth escape escape and send
- 38:30Speaker 5: him money using a phone app. Another that's her grandbaby.

- 56:56Speaker 5: and I have been together for a total of eleven
- 56:58Speaker 5: years and married for sale seven years. He's younger than
- 57:02Speaker 5: me by four years. When we met, I had a
- 57:05Speaker 5: seventeen year old daughter. He does not have children, and
- 57:08Speaker 5: I wasn't willing to have any more children, so he
- 57:10Speaker 5: said he just treat my child like she's his child.
- 57:14Speaker 5: My daughter's dad passed away, so it worked out. I
- 57:18Speaker 5: spoiled my child because I didn't want her to miss
- 57:21Speaker 5: out by having both parents. She was very fond of
- 57:24Speaker 5: her stepdad and they did things without me all of
- 57:28Speaker 5: the time. The only problem is that he is still
- 57:32Speaker 5: very much involved in her life and she's almost thirty.
- 57:35Speaker 5: I feel like it's gone from parental admiration to something else.
- 57:40Speaker 5: She's always called him by his name, and now she
- 57:43Speaker 5: has a nickname for him, and he acts like her
- 57:46Speaker 5: man instead of her stepfather. He's my daughter's handyman and housekeeper.
- 57:51Speaker 5: He will clean our house and then he'll go tidy
- 57:54Speaker 5: up my daughter's place. Saturday, he told me he was
- 57:57Speaker 5: going to go hang out with my daughter by the
- 57:59Speaker 5: pool at her compartment complex. I called her to see
- 58:03Speaker 5: if she invited him over, and she said she was
- 58:06Speaker 5: excited about seeing him. She told me that I don't
- 58:09Speaker 5: usually like to be outside, but I could come if
- 58:12Speaker 5: I wanted to. I purposely went to surprise them. They
- 58:16Speaker 5: made me feel like an outsider. They talked about the
- 58:19Speaker 5: nigs and a few movies they'd seen lately. They were
- 58:22Speaker 5: drinking wine, and I stopped drinking in twenty twenty three,
- 58:26Speaker 5: so they have that in common. My dad never took
- 58:30Speaker 5: this kind of interest in me, So this is strange
- 58:33Speaker 5: to me. Is my husband substituting my daughter for me?
- 58:37Speaker 5: Should I break them up or not?
- 58:39Speaker 1: Well?
- 58:40Speaker 5: I don't know if there's anything you can break up.
- 58:43Speaker 5: I mean, they have a bond, and they've had one
- 58:46Speaker 5: since she was a little girl. Is he substituting your
- 58:49Speaker 5: daughter for you? That's a different question. I mean it's suspicious.
- 58:53Speaker 5: They spend a lot of time together. They're extremely, extremely close.
- 58:59Speaker 5: I would say, because you're his wife, he's not taking
- 59:02Speaker 5: this kind of time to spend with you, and that's
- 59:03Speaker 5: kind of that's what you're upset about. He's not her
- 59:06Speaker 5: blood father, but he is her stepdad. He is her
- 59:10Speaker 5: stepdad and the only daddy she knows. So if he's
- 59:14Speaker 5: crossing any kind of lines here, you know that's foul.
- 59:17Speaker 5: Of course, she's thirty now, she's definitely old enough and
- 59:23Speaker 5: grown enough to know what's going on. I'm glad you
- 59:26Speaker 5: went over there to see for yourself, what if there's
- 59:29Speaker 5: anything going on between them, because you were suspicious if
- 59:34Speaker 5: it didn't make you feel good. I'm sure that they
- 59:36Speaker 5: were practically ignoring you and talking about things between them,
- 59:40Speaker 5: you know, just the two of them. That was disrespectful.
- 59:43Speaker 5: They could have included you in their conversation. I say,
- 59:47Speaker 5: talk to them both, let them know how you feel,
- 59:49Speaker 5: because your feelings do matter.
- 59:52Speaker 1: Steve, Well, let me go.
- 59:55Speaker 7: Into this letter. Do I need to keep these two apart?
- 59:58Speaker 7: O response to that is, I don't think you can.
- 1:00:02Speaker 7: I don't think you can. You've been married eleven years,
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: you've been together seven years, been married. He's younger than you.
- 1:00:10Speaker 7: When y'all met, you had a seventeen year old daughter.
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: He has no children. You didn't want any more children.
- 1:00:17Speaker 7: He said, he treats your child like his child. My
- 1:00:20Speaker 7: daughter's dad passed away, so it worked out. I spoiled
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: my child because I don't want her to miss out
- 1:00:26Speaker 7: on having both parents.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Now here we go.
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: She's very fond of her stepdad and they did things
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: without me all the time.
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: The problem is.
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: He is still very much involved in her life and
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: she's almost thirty.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: You initiated this. It's what you wanted for your daughter.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Now you haven't.
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: I feel like it's gone from parental admiration to something else. Well,
- 1:00:58Speaker 7: what's something else you think to one to that? What
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: something else do you think it has gone to? Because
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: right now we need proof. If you want me and
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: Shirley to say something, we need facts. All of this
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: stuff is circumstantial in the court of law. You'd have
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: to go sit down. You have no text, you have
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: no pictures, you ain't never heard no lew comments that
- 1:01:21Speaker 7: they had nothing. She's always called him by his name, Roger,
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: and she got a nickname for it, Pooky Bar. Now
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: you know, I don't know what the nickname is, but
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: you didn't print that. But if it's Pooky Bear or
- 1:01:42Speaker 7: you know, now here's the nicknames you want to be
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: concerned with.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: Hot lips.
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: Hot lips would be a very concern, you see. You
- 1:01:53Speaker 7: know these nicks names like this would throw something. Stop
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: to your stepdaddy. Hey, Roger, JU say I thieve big Daddy.
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: Big Daddy is uh is a little tricky. That was
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: my nickname on TV. Big Daddy gonna get you some problem.
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: I'm just going over nicknames that could uh uh like
- 1:02:20Speaker 7: throw you into something. Here's one that could create a problem.
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: Good and Plenty. You know GP good and GP wants
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: to get good and plenty girl problem. Momma, you so lucky. Naw,
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: you wouldn't need something like that. So far, none of
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: that's happened. And I'm gonna come back and explain to
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: you some more stuff. But you said and he acts
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: like her man instead of her stepfather. My question for you,
- 1:02:51Speaker 7: how do you act like you her man and not
- 1:02:56Speaker 7: act like you her stepfather.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: That's the part that I need proof on it. When
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: we come back, we'll find out.
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: All right, Steve, We'll have part two of your response
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour Today's
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: Strawberry letter subject Do I need to keep these two apart?
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: Steve Harvey Morning Show, folks.
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: There are a lot of reasons to like Hyundai. Hyundai's
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: done a lot to support American consumers. I mean, they
- 1:03:31Speaker 7: announced their investment of twenty one billion dollars in the
- 1:03:34Speaker 7: United States over the next three years that will expand
- 1:03:37Speaker 7: manufacturing and create more jobs for Americans.
- 1:03:40Speaker 14: And they just announced that they will not be raising
- 1:03:43Speaker 14: MSRP through June second. No matter what, call five six'
- 1:03:47Speaker 14: two three one four four six zero three for more.
- 1:03:50Speaker 14: Details all, right come, On. Steve let's regap Today's strawberry.
- 1:03:54Speaker 14: Letter the subject is DO i need to keep these two?
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: Apart and my response to it, WAS i don't think you.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: CAN i don't think you. CAN i think that ship has.
- 1:04:07Speaker 7: SAILED i think your, daughter you've been, married she was
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: seventeen when they, met you could even want to have
- 1:04:13Speaker 7: them on. Kids you're older than. Him he, said he'll
- 1:04:16Speaker 7: treat your kids like. His they became very. Close they
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: used to go do things without you all the. Time
- 1:04:21Speaker 7: the problem now is she's thirty and they still are,
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: together and you think it's more than parental. Admiration you
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: think it has turned into something else because she. Thirty
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: she's always called him by his, name and now she
- 1:04:40Speaker 7: got a nickname for. Him and LIKE i said, before
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: if your nickname is Big, daddy hot, lips, juicy you,
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: KNOW gp short for good and, plenty all these nicknames
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: say something. Else and then you said he acts like
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: her man instead of her, stepfather.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: And SO i want to know what that.
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: Is then you, said go on to say he's my
- 1:05:11Speaker 7: daughter's handyman and. Housekeeper he would clean our house and
- 1:05:15Speaker 7: then go tidy up my daughter's. Place now that slick.
- 1:05:20Speaker 7: Move if you are up to, something that's how you do.
- 1:05:22Speaker 7: It BECAUSE i don't know what man cleans up his whole,
- 1:05:25Speaker 7: house BUT i. Don't but If i'm gonna do, Something
- 1:05:29Speaker 7: i'm gonna go clean your house, first or it don't look.
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: Strange it's just strange that he over there cleaning up. Anywhere,
- 1:05:38Speaker 7: saturday he told me he was going to go hang
- 1:05:40Speaker 7: out with my daughter by the pool at her apartment.
- 1:05:43Speaker 7: COMPLEX i called to see it if she invited him,
- 1:05:47Speaker 7: over and she said she was excited about seeing. HIM
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: i ain't never been in none of my kids apartment
- 1:05:53Speaker 7: to hang out at they. Pool it's probably Because i'm.
- 1:05:55Speaker 7: Famous it wouldn't be a good. Look so they all
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: come to mind was with their friends and hang. Out
- 1:06:02Speaker 7: BUT i don't go out there and hang out with.
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: Him you, Know i'll go out there and speak and you,
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: know monitor, stuff BUT i don't hang out with.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Him have you seen your pool? THOUGH i would be
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: over there too if a. Kid, yes and they have
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: used it and abused.
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: It and THEN i called to see if she had
- 1:06:22Speaker 7: invited him. Over she said she was excited About she
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: told me THAT i don't usually like to be. Outside
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: what you don't, now since you're older than, him maybe
- 1:06:32Speaker 7: you acting like.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: They got this little, young little.
- 1:06:36Speaker 7: Friendship SO i but she said you could come if
- 1:06:42Speaker 7: you wanted. TO i purposely went to surprise.
