  I'm thinking today of Hebrews 11.16. Hebrews 11.16 says,

  But as it is, they desire a better country, that is a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed

  to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. I definitely do not want God to be

  ashamed of being my God. Oh, I'm so grateful for all that He's done for me, and I'm blessed in so

  many ways. And even though struggles, when I'm in my right mind, I realize I'm blessed.

  So if I'm not looking forward to the heavenly country, the one that God has prepared for me,

  if I were perfectly settled, or if I were wrapped up in frustration or concerned about what's going

  on here and now, rather than looking toward desiring a better country, then would God be ashamed

  to be called my God? Well, the adverse is true. That is to say that if I am not settled here,

  if I am not wrapped up in what's going on here, if I realize that there is a better country,

  a heavenly one that God has prepared for me, then He would not be ashamed to be called my God,

  because He has indeed prepared that place for me. Be comforted today. God has prepared a place for

  you, and in trusting Him to take you there one day, that pleases Him. And then He can work in
• 1:27
  our lives, and He can even make these countries that we live in better. He can work on our behalf

  and work in us, because we know He's got it all under control, and He's working His plan.
