- 1:47Speaker 6: wad of the monod me.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Come come out.
- 1:59Speaker 2: You're thinking, uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 7: You're listening to the voice I said, come on now
- 2:07Speaker 7: dig me the one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 7: radio show. Okay, Now, I'm gonna be really honest with
- 2:15Speaker 7: you this morning. I really don't know what to say.
- 2:20Speaker 7: I really don't. I was sitting here and I was thinking,
- 2:27Speaker 7: what do I say today. I do know that I
- 2:32Speaker 7: want to be encouraging, uplifting and inspirational in some way
- 2:38Speaker 7: to affect somebody today. Oftentimes, these conversations that I have
- 2:44Speaker 7: in the mornings, they're designed with me because I needed myself, y'all,
- 2:51Speaker 7: to be honest with you.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I mean, you know.
- 2:55Speaker 7: Who makes the comedian laugh? I used to say all
- 2:58Speaker 7: the time, And even though what we talk about in
- 3:02Speaker 7: the morning is not a laughing matter. It kind of
- 3:05Speaker 7: like is where I am today. You know, I need
- 3:09Speaker 7: motivation in my life sometimes myself. I think when I
- 3:14Speaker 7: get in moments like this, I often resort back to
- 3:20Speaker 7: the same thing over and over and over. And when
- 3:25Speaker 7: I find myself in certain predicaments, I can always fall
- 3:30Speaker 7: back on the same thing over and over. So while
- 3:34Speaker 7: I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to say
- 3:37Speaker 7: to you, the one thing that I did do this
- 3:41Speaker 7: morning that I find to be very consistent in me
- 3:45Speaker 7: is that I find myself grateful. I'm ever grateful for
- 3:51Speaker 7: the things that God has done for me. I may
- 3:54Speaker 7: not always know what to say, but I know how
- 3:57Speaker 7: to say thank you, I do. I know how to
- 4:01Speaker 7: remember and reflect back on where I come from. I
- 4:06Speaker 7: know how to realize where all my blessings come from.
- 4:11Speaker 7: I'm very very conscious of my journey that I've been on,
- 4:18Speaker 7: the one that was from then until now, that journey
- 4:23Speaker 7: right there is it's been. It's been. It's been. It's
- 4:28Speaker 7: been difficult, man, it really really has. I ain't gonna
- 4:31Speaker 7: lie to you.
- 4:33Speaker 8: Me.
- 4:35Speaker 7: Becoming successful was very difficult. But as hard as this
- 4:42Speaker 7: is to say, I really really mean this. I wouldn't
- 4:47Speaker 7: change nothing about the trip I've been on number one
- 4:54Speaker 7: because I can't change anything about it. So I never
- 4:59Speaker 7: lived my life in regret. But the main thing is
- 5:03Speaker 7: was I discovered along the way now not doing the
- 5:08Speaker 7: process when you're going through rough moments that you can't
- 5:11Speaker 7: hardly see the good in it at the time. It's
- 5:15Speaker 7: just rough for you and it seems unexplainable, and oftentimes
- 5:18Speaker 7: I thought it was unfair.
- 5:20Speaker 2: But as I.
- 5:22Speaker 7: Am now, I needed every single thing that happened to me,
- 5:27Speaker 7: that happened to me to happen to me.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I hope that makes sense to you.
- 5:36Speaker 7: I needed everything to happen in the exact order and
- 5:40Speaker 7: the exact way that it happened in order for me
- 5:44Speaker 7: to be the person that I've become.
- 5:48Speaker 2: And that right there, man, is just very comforting to me.
- 5:54Speaker 7: Mister Jakes told me one time, he said, the closer
- 5:56Speaker 7: you get to God, the more friendly you all become,
- 6:02Speaker 7: the more He will reveal to you are the how
- 6:07Speaker 7: it comes and what falls of a lot of things
- 6:10Speaker 7: that's happened to you. Because a lot of times what
- 6:12Speaker 7: troubles us is we just can't understand why we lost
- 6:16Speaker 7: that love one back then. We just can't understand why
- 6:20Speaker 7: we didn't get what we wanted back then. We just
- 6:23Speaker 7: don't understand how come our plan didn't work out and
- 6:27Speaker 7: we had to fail so miserably back then, we don't
- 6:31Speaker 7: understand the answers to these things. Well, the closer I've
- 6:35Speaker 7: gotten to God, the more those explanations have become crystal
- 6:38Speaker 7: clear to me. And See, the one thing that I
- 6:42Speaker 7: came to the realization everybody is that the things that
- 6:45Speaker 7: was happening to me, they weren't really all bad. They
- 6:50Speaker 7: really wasn't that they didn't taste good. When it was happening,
- 6:54Speaker 7: I didn't enjoy what I was going through. But as
- 6:57Speaker 7: I look back on them and reflect now, it wasn't
- 6:59Speaker 7: all bad. Some of those things were so necessary for
- 7:01Speaker 7: me to get the information because see, I don't know
- 7:04Speaker 7: about you, but I'm kind of hard headed and stubborn.
- 7:08Speaker 7: I said, I don't know about you, but I'm kind
- 7:10Speaker 7: of hard headed and stubborn. I kind of like to
- 7:14Speaker 7: think that I know something about some things every now
- 7:18Speaker 7: and then, and the things I am convinced about, I
- 7:22Speaker 7: don't really really care for people trying to talk me
- 7:25Speaker 7: off mine, so I can be stubborn and hard headed sometimes.
- 7:30Speaker 2: God knows that about me.
- 7:32Speaker 7: So I think to get some of the messages crystal
- 7:35Speaker 7: clear through to me that I needed to learn. That
- 7:37Speaker 7: was this process I had to go through. That process
- 7:40Speaker 7: was my journey. It was my trip. It was my woe,
- 7:45Speaker 7: my pain. See, everybody got them different, It don't matter
- 7:47Speaker 7: what it is. Everybody got a woe, everybody got a pain,
- 7:51Speaker 7: everybody got a trial, everybody got some tribulations, everybody got
- 7:55Speaker 7: some challenge.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I don't care who you are.
- 7:57Speaker 7: Just quit looking at me thinking that I got it
- 7:59Speaker 7: going on so tough man.
- 8:01Speaker 2: But if Steve, yeah, it's easy for you to say that,
- 8:03Speaker 2: but you ain't here. You don't know why.
- 8:06Speaker 7: Ben, if you would stop hanging yourself up on your past,
- 8:11Speaker 7: worry about your woes and your troubles and the situation
- 8:15Speaker 7: you in, and start praying and start asking God to
- 8:19Speaker 7: get you through it.
- 8:20Speaker 2: See a lot of times you messed it.
- 8:22Speaker 7: You messed a message up yourself, because when you're going
- 8:25Speaker 7: through some stuff, you ask God to remove it and
- 8:27Speaker 7: take it away.
- 8:28Speaker 2: That ain't the lesson. You got to learn.
- 8:31Speaker 7: Your lesson sometimes it's got to be how to be strong,
- 8:35Speaker 7: how to see it through, how to bear under it,
- 8:40Speaker 7: how to carry that weight, long distances for long periods
- 8:44Speaker 7: of time. That's how you get strong The lesson is
- 8:48Speaker 7: to make you stronger.
- 8:49Speaker 2: But to make you stronger, you got to carry the weight.
- 8:51Speaker 7: You can't get stronger you don't go to gym or
- 8:53Speaker 7: you're gonna do something at your house to lift your
- 8:55Speaker 7: own body weight.
- 8:56Speaker 2: See, a lot of people can't even do push ups.
- 9:01Speaker 7: They can't get down, and in the course of a day,
- 9:05Speaker 7: give you a hundred push ups because they ain't. They
- 9:08Speaker 7: ain't never tried it. They boy it. They get you
- 9:11Speaker 7: twenty and they're shake it so bad they stop. That's
- 9:14Speaker 7: too much for me. Well, let me tell you something.
- 9:16Speaker 7: So I learned to quit praying to take stuff away.
- 9:19Speaker 7: My prayer became to give me the strength to handle it.
- 9:21Speaker 7: People oftentimes ask me, how do you do all that
- 9:24Speaker 7: you do in the course of the day.
- 9:26Speaker 2: I don't really know. I just know I can.
- 9:31Speaker 7: Because I know God don't put more on you than
- 9:33Speaker 7: you can bath. So when you ask me how you
- 9:36Speaker 7: do all of what you do in the course of
- 9:38Speaker 7: the day, I got God. God is good. He'll get
- 9:43Speaker 7: you through whatever it is you're going through. So when
- 9:44Speaker 7: you trip it and you don't know what to say,
- 9:48Speaker 7: reflect and be grateful for all you reflect on. Think
- 9:53Speaker 7: about God's goodness and watch what He do for you.
- 9:55Speaker 7: That's the cold part.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Okay, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:01Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen, let me have your divided attention. This
- 10:06Speaker 7: is my quiet storm voice. This is the voice I

- 10:19Speaker 7: that's all your old people can just do two hours
- 10:21Speaker 7: of radio and then we gotta go and go to

- 37:43Speaker 12: slash strawberry. Okay, so, Steve, Tomorrow, Friday, January seventeenth is
- 37:49Speaker 12: your birthday.
- 37:49Speaker 5: You'll be sixty eight tomorrow blood seventeen.
- 37:52Speaker 12: Yeah, happy early birthday, Steve. We love you and we
- 37:56Speaker 12: want to ask you some fun questions. So are you ready.
- 38:01Speaker 12: Here's the first one. What's the best thing that happened
- 38:04Speaker 12: to you at sixty seven? So last year, what's the
- 38:08Speaker 12: best thing that happened to you that year? This sixty
- 38:11Speaker 12: seventh year?
- 38:13Speaker 2: I got healthy? Oh good, I got healthy.
- 38:19Speaker 7: I have five markers for cardiovascular disease, and I rided
- 38:24Speaker 7: myself of all five, got rid of all.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Of it, all of it, and.
- 38:30Speaker 7: I lost thirty four pounds, gone game five of it
- 38:36Speaker 7: back over the holiday, this joke.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Eggnog, which just kept calling me about.
- 38:43Speaker 5: All right, So what did you learn about yourself this passage?
- 38:47Speaker 9: Oh?
- 38:47Speaker 2: Then I'm too old to care?
- 38:49Speaker 5: Okay, I like that.
- 38:50Speaker 2: I am too old to care.
- 38:52Speaker 7: I don't care no more what nobody think about me,
- 38:56Speaker 7: that don't know me. If you're not in my family
- 38:59Speaker 7: and in my circle of friends, I don't care what
- 39:02Speaker 7: you think about me. You could say what you want
- 39:04Speaker 7: to say and print what you want to print. I
- 39:06Speaker 7: have discovered it has not changed a single thing.
- 39:10Speaker 12: Okay, all right, that's a good lesson to learn. If
- 39:14Speaker 12: you could have a lifetime supply of anything as your
- 39:18Speaker 12: birthday gift, what would you choose?
- 39:21Speaker 2: You I'm say, I'm sorry? Did that? Did I say
- 39:26Speaker 2: that I'm lifetime supply?
- 39:29Speaker 1: The next question is wrong?
- 39:31Speaker 7: And over and over and on on on call. All right,
- 39:39Speaker 7: I'm back twenty years old over that.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 39:48Speaker 5: Wow, you surprised that one.
- 39:51Speaker 2: I surprised me with that one. I didn't know that.
- 39:53Speaker 2: I ain't know where that cares?
- 39:55Speaker 9: You know?
- 39:58Speaker 3: All right?
- 39:59Speaker 5: All right? Moving on?
- 40:00Speaker 2: You ready, I'm ready, I am.
- 40:03Speaker 5: If you were granted three wishes right now, what would
- 40:06Speaker 5: they be? And don't say what you just said?
- 40:08Speaker 7: Okay, well, hell that cover I got two left. Then
- 40:12Speaker 7: let's see, let's see granted three wishes. If black people
- 40:19Speaker 7: in America could all feel like they were really Americans,
- 40:23Speaker 7: if we were included in the constitution, if we didn't
- 40:28Speaker 7: have to wake up every day and battle for what
- 40:31Speaker 7: should be ours anyway, the right to pursue the pursuit
- 40:35Speaker 7: of happiness, just that would that would be immaculate? And then, uh,
- 40:42Speaker 7: you know, and then if I can't get that, if
- 40:44Speaker 7: I just could get like three billion dollars, how you
- 40:48Speaker 7: feel about it?
- 40:48Speaker 4: All right?
- 40:49Speaker 5: See happy birthday early.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Give me the two I needed, because that other was solid.
- 40:57Speaker 5: Black women are not playing political games this year.
- 41:00Speaker 12: We're protecting our piece and we'll talk about it right
- 41:03Speaker 12: after this.
- 41:04Speaker 5: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 41:10Speaker 12: Okay, So after the election results, black women said, we
- 41:14Speaker 12: are protecting our peace and reevaluating how we deal with
- 41:18Speaker 12: stress of anxiety from racism in this country, and we're not.
- 41:22Speaker 5: Playing about it.
- 41:23Speaker 12: Our forever first lady, Yeah, our forever first Lady, Michelle
- 41:26Speaker 12: Obama will not be attending President elect Trump's inauguration. On
- 41:30Speaker 12: MLK Day, Vice President Kamala Harris declined to invite Vice
- 41:35Speaker 12: President JD. Vance to the Vice President's residence for a
- 41:39Speaker 12: courtesy visit. If you recall VP Elect Vance called Vice
- 41:43Speaker 12: President Harris trash on the campaign trail, that's a hard
- 41:47Speaker 12: one that you know to look away from right there.
- 41:50Speaker 7: Yeah, I'll tell you what. When he get over that
- 41:52Speaker 7: to the Vice President's residence, they're gonna need to re molley.
- 41:56Speaker 5: Way that.
- 41:59Speaker 2: You think I'm where do you see where you live?
- 42:04Speaker 2: Who here?
- 42:07Speaker 12: Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett and Republican Nancy Mayce got
- 42:12Speaker 12: into a hated exchange at a house hearing Tuesday when
- 42:15Speaker 12: Crockett said child, and macec got upset and tried to
- 42:19Speaker 12: challenge Crockett by asking her whether she wanted to quote,
- 42:22Speaker 12: take it outside, take a listen other, or not call.
- 42:26Speaker 4: Me a child.
- 42:26Speaker 5: I am no child. I won't even stay out. I'm
- 42:29Speaker 5: a grows of those females.
- 42:31Speaker 3: I approcately have ceilings hereman.
- 42:35Speaker 17: You will not do the ordermil I am time in
- 42:38Speaker 17: my time, you want to take it out side.
- 42:39Speaker 18: Chairman and committee order order, point of order, point of order.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Order order order. Chair recognizes Miss Crockett.
- 42:47Speaker 5: No the point of order, Miss Chairman, state your point.
- 42:50Speaker 18: Is it allowed in the rules for a member to
- 42:53Speaker 18: incite violence against another member?
- 42:55Speaker 2: I mean she she wants to take it outside now,
- 42:58Speaker 2: I don't think she want to go out side? Really hello.
- 43:02Speaker 17: But if Crockett had said black woman, she'd be all
- 43:07Speaker 17: these things. But when she says that, this white woman
- 43:11Speaker 17: says it, it's.
- 43:12Speaker 2: Okay, but let's please go outside.
- 43:15Speaker 19: Though one arm was already in a sleep now yeah
- 43:22Speaker 19: oh yeah, outside with someone already yeah okay.
- 43:28Speaker 17: And she tried to clear it up, saying she was
- 43:30Speaker 17: just saying, let's talk outside.
- 43:32Speaker 12: Na nah, No, nobody said that go outside.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Race, we will go outside.
- 43:39Speaker 5: We don't have to go outside just to talk.
- 43:42Speaker 2: We start inside. It worked that way. That's that's what
- 43:45Speaker 2: I was saying exactly.
- 43:49Speaker 7: It's certain things, you know, as black people, we can
- 43:52Speaker 7: go outside, keep on, you know, just certain things you
- 43:59Speaker 7: know that black people that said, all right now, just
- 44:04Speaker 7: that you ain't got but one more?
- 44:09Speaker 5: What about the I wish you would come on with
- 44:12Speaker 5: that one?

- 45:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:21Speaker 5: This is it's a lot.

- 56:21Speaker 11: We got it for you here. It is Rawberry Letter.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 56:25Speaker 12: A few subjects he compliments other women. Dear Stephen, Shirley
- 56:30Speaker 12: I've been married to the sweetest man for almost thirty years.
- 56:34Speaker 12: Two months ago, he told me it was time for
- 56:36Speaker 12: me to retire so we can start traveling before we
- 56:39Speaker 12: get too much older. I put in my notice at work,
- 56:43Speaker 12: and they gave me a retirement party as a gift.
- 56:46Speaker 12: My husband booked a cruise. We just got back last week,
- 56:50Speaker 12: but it was not a good trip. I couldn't enjoy
- 56:53Speaker 12: myself because the boat was full of young, beautiful women.
- 56:57Speaker 12: They were part of a travel club and it was
- 56:59Speaker 12: there annual retreat. There had to be at least forty
- 57:03Speaker 12: women in a group, and they walked around half naked.
- 57:06Speaker 12: My husband was all in their faces, trying to go
- 57:10Speaker 12: eat when they ate, and drinking more than he usually
- 57:12Speaker 12: drinks to impress them. I was just sitting there like
- 57:15Speaker 12: a bump on a log while he flirted and did
- 57:18Speaker 12: a bunch of fake laughing. He even tried to learn
- 57:21Speaker 12: line dances and almost framed his ankle. Every day he
- 57:25Speaker 12: would sit there and comment on big butts, flat butts,
- 57:28Speaker 12: nice wigs and bad wigs, beautiful skin and nice feet.
- 57:32Speaker 12: He told the women they were beautiful right in front
- 57:35Speaker 12: of me. I didn't want to be arguing on the trip,
- 57:38Speaker 12: so I let it slide. But when he got overly
- 57:41Speaker 12: excited about the woman from Venezuela that that really irritated me.
- 57:45Speaker 12: He was trying his best to speak Spanish and it
- 57:49Speaker 12: was just too much for.
- 57:50Speaker 5: Me to take.
- 57:51Speaker 12: So I told him to knock it off or I
- 57:53Speaker 12: was going to stay in the room for the rest
- 57:55Speaker 12: of the trip. The women were nice, but I'm sure
- 57:58Speaker 12: it was grossing them out a little. I hope he
- 58:00Speaker 12: didn't act like that back when he was traveling a
- 58:03Speaker 12: lot for his job. I'm not insecure, but there's only
- 58:06Speaker 12: so much I can take. Is it best to overlook
- 58:10Speaker 12: his behavior and be glad that he feels comfortable enough
- 58:12Speaker 12: to talk to me about anything. I mean, you know,
- 58:17Speaker 12: the fact that he can talk to you about anything, Okay,
- 58:20Speaker 12: But come on, you know this isn't right.
- 58:22Speaker 5: Your husband was doing way too much, I mean, just
- 58:24Speaker 5: too much.
- 58:25Speaker 12: He was acting like a single man or a married
- 58:28Speaker 12: man who had left his wife at home. Every man,
- 58:32Speaker 12: at least every smart man, knows not to flirt, not
- 58:35Speaker 12: to compliment, or even look at other women in front
- 58:38Speaker 12: of his wife. I mean, that's disrespectful, and you don't
- 58:41Speaker 12: want that smoke from your wife. Your husband was very disrespectful.
- 58:45Speaker 12: He made you look bad, I'm sure, in front of
- 58:48Speaker 12: these young women and all of the people on the boat. Really,
- 58:51Speaker 12: and how could he possibly think this was okay? That's
- 58:54Speaker 12: what I'm wondering here, because it was very stupid. You
- 58:58Speaker 12: have to say how you feel though. You just can't
- 59:00Speaker 12: sit there like a bump on a log. You said
- 59:03Speaker 12: you have to let him know right then and there
- 59:05Speaker 12: that it's not okay.
- 59:07Speaker 5: So please have.
- 59:08Speaker 12: A serious talk with him and let him know. Don't
- 59:10Speaker 12: embarrass you like that again next time. You just can't
- 59:13Speaker 12: sit there.
- 59:14Speaker 17: See.
- 59:15Speaker 7: Well, well, well, the subject is he compliments other women.
- 59:22Speaker 7: The title of this letter should be ain't no fool
- 59:27Speaker 7: like an old food. You know, man, I know what
- 59:33Speaker 7: happened to him. I'm gonna tell you exactly what happened.
- 59:37Speaker 2: You know.
- 59:38Speaker 7: This is how these letters always start. I've been married
- 59:41Speaker 7: to the sweetest man, sweetest for almost thirty years, and
- 59:46Speaker 7: in this letter you didn't.
- 59:47Speaker 2: Know just how sweet he was.
- 59:52Speaker 7: Oh, two months ago, I told you it was time
- 59:55Speaker 7: to retire, so y'all can start traveling before we get
- 59:58Speaker 7: too much older. Put him a notice of work. They
- 1:00:02Speaker 7: had a retirement party. Your husband has a gift. He
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: book cruise for you, my man. We just got back
- 1:00:10Speaker 7: last week, but it was a horrible trip. I couldn't
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: enjoy myself because the boat was full of young beautiful
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: women had a travel club and this was their annual retreat.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: All right, here we go. Here's the problem.
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: They had to be at least farty women in the group,
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: and they walking around half naked.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Lord he mercy, God, damn.
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: My husband was all in their face. Ain't no fool
- 1:00:38Speaker 7: like an old food trying to go eat when they
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: hate drinking more than he usually drank. To impress him,
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: I was just sitting there like a bump on the log.
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: He flirted and did a whole bunch.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: Of fake.
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: That's what I wanted to get.
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: Yeah, whoa say what?
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: I know that?
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Oh oh god, right over there.
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: Huh huh you said you you funny like this all time?
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: Girl?
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: You crazy boy? I bet you?
- 1:01:25Speaker 7: Huh say say it again?
- 1:01:38Speaker 9: God?
- 1:01:39Speaker 18: Yeah, I like pasta.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Guy like pasta all the time.
- 1:01:46Speaker 7: He even tried to learn lying dances, almost spraying his
- 1:01:49Speaker 7: ankle every day when he sit there and coming on
- 1:01:51Speaker 7: big butch, flat butts, nice wigs, bag wigs, beautiful.
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: See that was to throw you off.
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: Look at you weed coming over here, sitting all over
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: over her head like that with that part just as
- 1:02:01Speaker 7: tall in the middle of her head. Yeah, he wasn't
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: looking at the wig though. It was what was Monday,
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: the wig, the bad wig was to throw you off.
- 1:02:11Speaker 7: And then he was telling women how beautifully was in
- 1:02:13Speaker 7: front of me. Now, this is the part we're gonna
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: touch on when we come back. I didn't want to
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: be arging on trips. I led away, but when he
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: got overly excited about the women from Venezuela, that irritated
- 1:02:29Speaker 7: me because he was trying his best to speak Spanish.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: When we come.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: Back, this is what this whole letter is about.
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: That's what I wanted to get through.
- 1:02:38Speaker 12: Yeah, all right, we'll have part two of your response
- 1:02:41Speaker 12: coming up, Steve. It's twenty three minutes after the our
- 1:02:45Speaker 12: title of today's Strawberry Letter. He compliments other women. We'll
- 1:02:48Speaker 12: get back into it right after this.
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:02:57Speaker 12: It's a new year, so why not make it a
- 1:02:59Speaker 12: new you. It's hard to find people who are good
- 1:03:02Speaker 12: at what they do. It's like, if you're hiring, how
- 1:03:04Speaker 12: can you find the best people for your roles. Zip recruiter.
- 1:03:08Speaker 12: If you're hiring for your company, this is a busy
- 1:03:10Speaker 12: time of year for you because you've got new twenty
- 1:03:12Speaker 12: twenty five goals, which means finding the right people to
- 1:03:16Speaker 12: accomplish them. Zip recruiter is the hiring side employers prefer
- 1:03:19Speaker 12: the most based on G two. Try it for free
- 1:03:23Speaker 12: at ZipRecruiter dot com slash strawberry. That's ZipRecruiter dot com
- 1:03:27Speaker 12: slash strawberry. All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 1:03:31Speaker 12: strawberry letter. This is kind of crazy. It's called he
- 1:03:34Speaker 12: compliments other women.
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: When the tyler of this letter should be ain't no
- 1:03:39Speaker 7: fool like an old food Now. She said in the
- 1:03:43Speaker 7: letter that she's married to the sweetest man for almost
- 1:03:45Speaker 7: thirty years. She didn't know how sweet he was till
- 1:03:47Speaker 7: we got through this letter. He real sweet. He's sweet
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: as he wanted to be. He's sweet to everybody. That's
- 1:03:52Speaker 7: what you didn't know. And they threw it. He said,
- 1:03:57Speaker 7: he told us she ought to retire. She said, yeah,
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: put in a notice. They threw a retirement party for her,
- 1:04:01Speaker 7: and his gift to her as a retirement party booked
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: him on the cruise. They went on the cruise and
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: it was horrible. It was horrible because it had funny,
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: beautiful young women on the trip. They were in the
- 1:04:13Speaker 7: travel club and it was an annual retreat and they
- 1:04:16Speaker 7: walked around half naked all day. Old fool was all
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: up in their faces trying to go eat when they eat.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: What was his name, Drake Horse, old ass.
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: Horse over there talking to Nika and all this here,
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: you know, you know, and now the women in the
- 1:04:42Speaker 7: group that got so tired of and they don't even
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: call him no more. He got a nickname Ho. They
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: called him Ho, short for horse. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: that's good.
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: Ho.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: I'm just sitting there like a bump on the log
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: while he floated, flood, while he flirted. He even tried
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: to learn some nne dance and almost sprain his ankle.
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: Every day he'd sit there, comment on big butts, flat button,
- 1:05:06Speaker 7: nice wigs, everything, beautiful skin, nice feet, told the women
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: that was beautiful right in front of me, And I
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: ain't want to be ugue, so I let it slide.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: But here's the part where the whole trip changed.
- 1:05:17Speaker 7: But when he got overly excited about the women from Venezuela.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: That really irritated me. And let me tell you something.
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: I know exactly where he's coming from because when I
- 1:05:28Speaker 7: was hosting Miss Universe one year, Miss Venezuela was in
- 1:05:32Speaker 7: the finals, and I kid you not, one of the
- 1:05:35Speaker 7: most beautiful women I've ever seen in my life was
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: from Venezuela.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: He started, oh hell yeah.
- 1:05:45Speaker 7: He tried his best to speak Spanish and it was
- 1:05:48Speaker 7: too much for me to take.
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: So I told him a knock it off. I was
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: gonna stay in the room.
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, ali ala wailoa.
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: Yeah what does that mean?
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: See all I lay bout?
- 1:06:03Speaker 7: Yeah, girl, girl, what you're talking about sinking to my
- 1:06:08Speaker 7: Come on, you're all up in here. We we we're
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: just mixing it all. Yeah, undera ti contra. I know
- 1:06:17Speaker 7: that's right, sitting up in here, girl. I know I'm
- 1:06:20Speaker 7: gonna collie hen tail up in here. Boy, girl, what
- 1:06:23Speaker 7: you see I play on?
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: Huh Yeah?
- 1:06:30Speaker 18: Our style a ghost they work our style. Awghos.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: He's just trying to be all that.
- 1:06:36Speaker 7: So ask me something in English and I'll tell you
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: how he was talking in Spanish.
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: Is that your wife?
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: See Senor deta, oh see Senor detail see see see
- 1:06:53Speaker 7: see on Paquito.

- 1:07:09Speaker 5: Next question, how long are you going to be here
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: on your trip?
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: M sinko, sinkodo? You know Almo clothes.
- 1:07:28Speaker 5: Let's happen? You know how to salsa? Almah?
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: Yeah? Hell, yes, we whyda.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Downtown.
- 1:07:40Speaker 7: Hey, I'm everything. I'm a twist sprinkle. So anyway, the
- 1:07:46Speaker 7: women were nice, but I'm sure it was grossing them
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: out a little. I hope he didn't act like that
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: back when he was traveling a lot for his job.
- 1:07:52Speaker 7: He was, he was this ain't new treatment.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: You just said.
- 1:07:55Speaker 7: It is the sweetest man. Everybody know that I'm not insecure,
- 1:07:59Speaker 7: but that only so much I can taste? Is it
- 1:08:01Speaker 7: best to overlook his behavior? Be glad that he feels
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: comfortable enough to talk to me about anything.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: He wasn't talking to you. Hey, lady, what what?
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: What?
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: What? What letter you read?
- 1:08:12Speaker 7: Should I be okay it feels comfortable enough to talk
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: to me about anything?
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: You mean?
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: Should you be okay with him being comfortable enough to
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: say anything in front of you?
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Because he was.
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: Not talking to you, he would see what you thought
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: was talking to him when he was saying, look at
- 1:08:30Speaker 7: the butt on this one walking by here. Now see that.
- 1:08:34Speaker 7: Now she got pretty feet them, some pretty feet right there.

- 1:12:59Speaker 10: Golf because maybe when you had your golf in your hell,
- 1:13:02Speaker 10: you had a pro shop in your house and you
- 1:13:04Speaker 10: would change clothes.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: And I thought we was going to the golf course.

- 1:13:27Speaker 12: Thank you guys. Coming up at the top of the
- 1:13:29Speaker 12: hour of Steve. But woman on social media needs some
- 1:13:31Speaker 12: advice from you. She said her husband's ex is making
- 1:13:34Speaker 12: her life miserable. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:13:43Speaker 5: this is from B on Steve Harve FM.
- 1:13:45Speaker 12: B says, my husband and I have been together for
- 1:13:48Speaker 12: three years and we are expecting our first child.
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: She needs your advice, she said.
- 1:13:52Speaker 12: He shares custody of his two kids, ages seven and nine,
- 1:13:56Speaker 12: with his ex, who treats them like ponds. She re
- 1:14:00Speaker 12: usees to let me help with pickups or drop offs.
- 1:14:03Speaker 12: She's inflexible with custody changes when we need them, but
- 1:14:06Speaker 12: expects us to accommodate her. I love my husband, but
- 1:14:11Speaker 12: dealing with her has been exhausting, and if I'd known
- 1:14:14Speaker 12: how bad it would be, I might not have pursued
- 1:14:17Speaker 12: the relationship. So she wants to know how can she
- 1:14:20Speaker 12: minimize the damage she's causing to their family, including her
- 1:14:25Speaker 12: own kids.
- 1:14:26Speaker 7: Well, what you do is don't don't give her the power.
- 1:14:31Speaker 7: See a lot of times what these people do who
- 1:14:33Speaker 7: do that, they do that because they know it ticks
- 1:14:36Speaker 7: you off.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: They know it ruffles your feathers.
- 1:14:39Speaker 7: What she ain't happy with is that you got her
- 1:14:41Speaker 7: man and going on with your life and now you
- 1:14:44Speaker 7: pregnant with a baby. Oh no, he not fin to
- 1:14:46Speaker 7: go off and have no happy life, happy wife. I'm
- 1:14:49Speaker 7: finna make your life miserable. What you got to do
- 1:14:52Speaker 7: is take her off to mess up your day. Radar screen,
- 1:14:57Speaker 7: don't let nothing she do affects you. You kill her
- 1:15:01Speaker 7: with kindness. Oh, thank you so much. Oh everything she
- 1:15:05Speaker 7: do towards the kids, Oh that was great.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: Thank you. And just don't let it. Don't let it
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: get under your skin.
- 1:15:11Speaker 7: She's doing a lot of this because she know it
- 1:15:13Speaker 7: gets under your skin. And I know what I'm telling you.
- 1:15:16Speaker 7: It's hard to do. But if you can do that,
- 1:15:19Speaker 7: you can minimize the damage. Because, let me tell you
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: something else. Kids are going to realize as they get older,
- 1:15:29Speaker 7: the truth. You ain't got to say nothing. Kids are
- 1:15:31Speaker 7: not stupid, Mamma. You trip it.
- 1:15:36Speaker 12: All right, Steve, We have time for another one. This
- 1:15:38Speaker 12: is for s from CW on Facebook. C W says,
- 1:15:42Speaker 12: I'm halfway through my first year of college and my
- 1:15:44Speaker 12: parents are making it known that they don't approve of
- 1:15:47Speaker 12: my career choice, and it's getting on my nerves. My
- 1:15:51Speaker 12: dad owns a popular local restaurant and his dream was
- 1:15:54Speaker 12: for me to take it over when he retired.
- 1:15:57Speaker 5: Unfortunately, that was not my dream.
- 1:16:00Speaker 12: When I made known in high school, everything got negative.
- 1:16:04Speaker 12: When I made that known in high school, everything got negative.
- 1:16:07Speaker 12: Now I'm working my way through school and getting good
- 1:16:09Speaker 12: grades in my computer science courses, which is where I
- 1:16:12Speaker 12: want to be every day. However, there's another reminder from
- 1:16:16Speaker 12: them about quote my poor life choices and how disappointed
- 1:16:20Speaker 12: they are in me. I love my parents and I
- 1:16:22Speaker 12: really don't want to stop talking to them, but I
- 1:16:24Speaker 12: can't take all this drama about my career choice.
- 1:16:27Speaker 5: What should I do?
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: Write them a letter?
- 1:16:33Speaker 7: Yeah, because you know, sometimes when you talk to your parents,
- 1:16:36Speaker 7: they don't hear because all they're trying to do is
- 1:16:39Speaker 7: show you how they're right.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: They made a decision about her life, and.
- 1:16:43Speaker 7: What we as parents got to realize is is not
- 1:16:46Speaker 7: our life. These kids have different paths that they own.
- 1:16:50Speaker 7: What you wanted for them, it ain't have nothing doing.
- 1:16:53Speaker 7: I ain't none of them on the path I want
- 1:16:55Speaker 7: them on. None of them, No, none of mine. Ain't
- 1:17:01Speaker 7: none of mine on the path I set up. Yes,
- 1:17:04Speaker 7: but it's cool and they gotta find their own way.
- 1:17:07Speaker 7: It's day life. Yeah, you man, go live yours. So
- 1:17:11Speaker 7: write them a letter and tell them exactly how you feel.
- 1:17:14Speaker 7: You know, that was his dream was for you to
- 1:17:17Speaker 7: run the restaurant.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: Nobody want to look.
- 1:17:19Speaker 7: Ragged the ass restaurant both that he ain't in the back.
- 1:17:23Speaker 7: I'm not cooking, No, damn neck bones. It ain't what
- 1:17:26Speaker 7: I want to do. You in computer science where the
- 1:17:30Speaker 7: future is learn how to cold so you can have
- 1:17:33Speaker 7: a career and make real money. And they gonna have
- 1:17:35Speaker 7: in a minute, they're gonna have stoves cooking neck bones,
- 1:17:38Speaker 7: form and all.
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: Kinds of stuff. You don't want to run the greasy's boone.
- 1:17:42Speaker 11: We've been having the greases boone, it's been around fifty years.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Nothing.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: Yeah, well you in so, no, no, you can't, Yeah,
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: you can't. You know, I was fortunate in that I
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: don't have a career.
- 1:17:55Speaker 7: I could leave my kids, so I've kind of always
- 1:17:57Speaker 7: had to just be into what they want to do.
- 1:18:00Speaker 7: And they made some decision then, but most of the
- 1:18:03Speaker 7: decisions they make it is working out good.
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: That's good.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: Good, Yeah, that's good.
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: I got one that's on the path that I don't.
- 1:18:10Speaker 5: Know, but it's their life.
- 1:18:15Speaker 12: Yeah, all right, all right, we'll have more of the
- 1:18:18Speaker 12: Steve Harvey morning showing up.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: A twenty minute stab came up with this.
- 1:18:23Speaker 5: You're listening to the Steve Harvey morning shows.
- 1:18:27Speaker 12: So guys, remember back in November when voters said they
- 1:18:30Speaker 12: didn't vote for Vice President Kamala Harris because of grocery prices.
- 1:18:34Speaker 5: Remember that well.
- 1:18:35Speaker 12: A new report from food label maker reveals which states
- 1:18:39Speaker 12: have the highest and lowest average grocery store prices. Most
