Passionate for the Right Things

The question is not, "Am I passionate?" The better question might be, "Am I passionate for the right things?" There's a lot of passionate people in our world today, but often the passions are misguided and self-destructive. People take up questionable causes and advocate for selfish positions in the name of 'passion.' Voices are raised, positions are advocated for, and pulpits of all shapes and colors are pounded. But 'passion' may not be productive. And so, as we advocate for our 'passions,' we might ask how healthy and legitimate our 'passion' really is. For many 'passions' result in our…
