- 2:11Speaker 1: show today. I want to just share something with you.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Um along your way, um to wherever it is you're
- 2:23Speaker 1: trying to get to. You know, every everybody has a
- 2:26Speaker 1: different definition for success, and I'm not. I'm not here
- 2:30Speaker 1: to tell you what yours should be. I mean, please
- 2:33Speaker 1: pursue whatever you think success. He is aim as high
- 2:37Speaker 1: as you can though. Uh, that's for sure. My father
- 2:42Speaker 1: used to say all the time. I'm sure you all
- 2:43Speaker 1: have heard it in different variations, but he used to
- 2:46Speaker 1: always say, aim for the moon. Just in case you miss,
- 2:50Speaker 1: you'll still be amongst the stars. Just say that to
- 2:53Speaker 1: me all the time, So that always was in me
- 2:56Speaker 1: to aim high. Now he was and saying aim with
- 3:01Speaker 1: the intent to miss. He was just saying aim in
- 3:06Speaker 1: case you miss, you're still amongst the stars. If you
- 3:10Speaker 1: aim for the moon. But if you just aim for
- 3:12Speaker 1: that first flow wind and you miss it, you know,
- 3:17Speaker 1: usually run into some type of wall and nothing happens.
- 3:20Speaker 1: You slither down. But a lot of times I think
- 3:24Speaker 1: along the way, folks, you know, we just don't understand
- 3:26Speaker 1: what all it takes, and so we give up along
- 3:29Speaker 1: the way. But there's a couple of things I want
- 3:32Speaker 1: you to prepare yourself for. You know. In my book,
- 3:36Speaker 1: act like a lady, think like a man. I told
- 3:38Speaker 1: her people that men love three ways. They profess, they provide,
- 3:42Speaker 1: they protect, and that's the core essence of a man's love. Well,
- 3:47Speaker 1: there's some other peas in life too. And uh now,
- 3:54Speaker 1: the number one thing you have to understand about trying
- 3:58Speaker 1: to be success full. And I guess I call this
- 4:02Speaker 1: the four piece. I may come up with five along
- 4:05Speaker 1: the way. I don't know. I'm just talking as it
- 4:07Speaker 1: is given to me. So I'm gonna summer start by saying,
- 4:11Speaker 1: as these are the four piece of uh success that
- 4:15Speaker 1: you have to get ready for it. Number one, it's pressure,
- 4:21Speaker 1: pure pressure. Being successful is just pressure. A lot of
- 4:30Speaker 1: it is applied by the circumstance of what you're trying
- 4:33Speaker 1: to go for and what you're trying to do, but
- 4:38Speaker 1: a lot of it also is self imposed pressure. It's um,
- 4:44Speaker 1: it's it's what you put on yourself to make it.
- 4:48Speaker 1: It's it's a sense of urgency, it's it's a sense
- 4:52Speaker 1: of necessity. But pressure is the first thing I want
- 4:58Speaker 1: you to be ready for. And pressure sure comes in
- 5:00Speaker 1: a lot of different forms, but it's gonna be pressured.
- 5:03Speaker 1: As an old saying, the pressure bus to pipe. See,
- 5:06Speaker 1: that's why most people turn around because of the pressure
- 5:09Speaker 1: of trying to be successful. I want you to get
- 5:12Speaker 1: it in your mind that it is going to be
- 5:15Speaker 1: a pressurized situation on your rise to the top. Pressure wise,
- 5:21Speaker 1: it's gonna be pressure. It's gonna be difficult to do.
- 5:24Speaker 1: It's gonna be moments when it seems like it's real heavy.
- 5:27Speaker 1: It's gonna be moments, man, when it feel like you're
- 5:30Speaker 1: gonna burst us. All comes from pressure. Pressure, buster pipe pressure.
- 5:36Speaker 1: But understand that that is what it is. Is not
- 5:39Speaker 1: going to change. That's it. Prepare yourself, get ready for
- 5:45Speaker 1: there to be pressure. The second thing I want you
- 5:51Speaker 1: to understand is when you receive this pressure, you have
- 5:54Speaker 1: to persist. You got to stay at it, You got
- 5:59Speaker 1: to dive all up. A dog. Inness has a there's
- 6:07Speaker 1: a song out He says, why must I feel like that?
- 6:13Speaker 1: Why must I chase the cat? Nothing but the dog
- 6:17Speaker 1: in me? That's a funny line in that song, because
- 6:22Speaker 1: really I was thinking about it one day. I was
- 6:24Speaker 1: humming it and and and it, and it occurred to me, said,
- 6:29Speaker 1: why must I feel like that? Why must I chase
- 6:32Speaker 1: the cat? Nothing but the dog in me? And you know,
- 6:37Speaker 1: now you could take it into literal sense that the
- 6:40Speaker 1: cat chases the dog because it's innately is in his
- 6:44Speaker 1: spirit that cats and dogs are a lot of times enemies.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Now people have pets and help proven that if you
- 6:50Speaker 1: show love on both sides, they can exist. And that
- 6:53Speaker 1: happens too. But naturally, innately, when your cat goes by
- 6:58Speaker 1: a dog, your dog don't recognize him, that some barking
- 7:00Speaker 1: going on. I'm talking, I just walking through the neighborhood
- 7:03Speaker 1: or something. So but the reason that this dog's so
- 7:09Speaker 1: persistent towards this cat's just cause it's in him. It's
- 7:15Speaker 1: innately in him. And what I'm saying to you, just
- 7:20Speaker 1: using that as an analogy, is that you got to
- 7:23Speaker 1: be you got to be persistent in that. You got
- 7:29Speaker 1: to develop some dog in you now, because pressure take
- 7:34Speaker 1: some fighting back. See if you don't fight back against pressure,
- 7:38Speaker 1: pressure buster pipes, so what you're think it will do
- 7:40Speaker 1: to you? Pressure crack walls, pressure calls, explosions. So if
- 7:46Speaker 1: you don't fight back to hold it in, you understand
- 7:50Speaker 1: pressure does most people in the simple thing called pressure,
- 7:55Speaker 1: the weight of what it feels like to want to
- 7:58Speaker 1: be successful every and go day, over and over and
- 8:02Speaker 1: over and over and over. It's just too much pressure.
- 8:05Speaker 1: People crack. You got to persist. You have to persist.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You can the thought of giving up can come, but
- 8:14Speaker 1: you gotta get it out. You gotta persist. The next
- 8:21Speaker 1: thing I want you to think about, there's another something
- 8:25Speaker 1: that I've been thinking about for years and learn for years.
- 8:28Speaker 1: It's called perseverance. See, to persist means to to to
- 8:36Speaker 1: to to insist. Keyword and insist and persistence insists you must,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you must insist that this is going to happen. Now,
- 8:46Speaker 1: the persist I'm assuming means it's a pro action. It's
- 8:50Speaker 1: some type of pro action that you go towards it
- 8:53Speaker 1: to make it. You know, persist, you gotta be persistent.
- 8:57Speaker 1: You gotta be constantly at insisting that it happens. You
- 9:00Speaker 1: gotta be constantly at it. But the next thing I
- 9:02Speaker 1: want you to remember is perseverance. Perseverance is important. Perseverance
- 9:08Speaker 1: means that when you've done your best, when you've persisted,
- 9:13Speaker 1: when you're fighting back against the pressure. Perseverance simply means
- 9:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna hang in here. Now. I'm going
- 9:23Speaker 1: to hang in here. What if if a crack come
- 9:27Speaker 1: into pipe, I'm gonna hang in there. If the pipe bust,
- 9:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep going. If I gotta put duct take
- 9:35Speaker 1: silly glue, bondo mud, whatever I got to put on
- 9:41Speaker 1: this thing. Man, I'm gonna use perseverance. I'm going to
- 9:46Speaker 1: stay with it no matter what. So we're looking at
- 9:50Speaker 1: the three things again. You got to understand that it's
- 9:53Speaker 1: gonna be pressure that you're gonna have to persist keyword
- 9:57Speaker 1: and persistence Insist. You have to insist that no matter
- 10:01Speaker 1: what the pressure is, I'm gonna stay with it, but
- 10:04Speaker 1: then perseverance. If it goes wrong. Man, you got to
- 10:08Speaker 1: get in there and keep fighting. But then, Lord her Mercy,
- 10:14Speaker 1: nothing helps you handle the three peas better than the
- 10:17Speaker 1: fourth pace. You got to pray. You got to use prayer.
- 10:21Speaker 1: You gotta talk to God. You gotta use faith. You
- 10:25Speaker 1: gotta have some conferences with him late at night, early
- 10:29Speaker 1: in the morning, in the middle of the afternoon, when
- 10:31Speaker 1: you own the train, when you're driving, you got to
- 10:34Speaker 1: talk to God. Man, you gotta get yourself some help
- 10:37Speaker 1: along the way. Nothing is bigger than prayer. There is
- 10:41Speaker 1: nothing bigger than prayer. Prayer will help you overcome the pressure.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Prayer will help you stay persistent, and Lord her Mercy,
- 10:48Speaker 1: prayer will help you persevere them is the foe Pas
- 10:52Speaker 1: that just came to me today. God gave that to me.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I'm passing it on. You're listening to show. I have
- 11:03Speaker 1: exactly twenty one minutes after the hour. That would mean
- 11:06Speaker 1: that it has begun, that the greatest show on Earth
- 11:11Speaker 1: is off and on the run. It may not be
- 11:14Speaker 1: conceivable to most of you, but I'll tell you one thing.
- 11:18Speaker 1: It is the place to be and the thing to do.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Those of you that are wondering what's going on today?
- 11:25Speaker 1: Just hang on, hang on, it's about to get underway.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Why did I learn how to rhyme? So swell? Well,
- 11:32Speaker 1: it comes from playing with myself where you're just a
- 11:35Speaker 1: little boy. You could sit there and just get it
- 11:38Speaker 1: on all by damn. It's lonely. Iurs being great. That's
- 11:44Speaker 1: what I was as a child. Everybody else was just
- 11:47Speaker 1: sitting over there, just doing real regular old kids stuff.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I was out there killing and cracking him over the head,
- 11:54Speaker 1: trying to figure out my next move. Yes, I was
- 11:57Speaker 1: a happy job and lone child. Ah, it was me
- 12:04Speaker 1: theages and gentlemen, Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morny Show.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I was gonna snap like we go deepness to drain minimum, Yeah,
- 12:17Speaker 1: deepness early. But his delivery was yea yeah. Do we
- 12:28Speaker 1: learn anything there? Yes we did? What did we learn?
- 12:31Speaker 1: He was a lonely ChIL child, a lonely rhyming child. Yes,
- 12:38Speaker 1: damn right. It could have been a rap. Did you
- 12:44Speaker 1: ever hear that while growing up? Stop all that rapping rhyming?
- 12:51Speaker 1: Did you ever hear that about it talking? Just talking?
- 12:53Speaker 1: Because I was only child, It's just just wasn't winners,
- 12:57Speaker 1: just talking you just talked a lot of the conversation. Yeah,
- 13:01Speaker 1: I talked a lot. I mean no, not really. I
- 13:04Speaker 1: think my problem was uh huh ah, I had so
- 13:10Speaker 1: many the problem look at you though, Yeah, what do
- 13:18Speaker 1: you mean problem? Hey? Are y'all talking to me without
- 13:23Speaker 1: an appointment? I forgot? So what we ain't from to do?
- 13:28Speaker 1: We're gonna we're gonna start listening to this damn internet
- 13:34Speaker 1: friend man, just TV. That was radio too, man. I mean,
- 13:39Speaker 1: you know, man, I didn't even really know. You know what.
- 13:41Speaker 1: It's an amazing thing about God. He shields me from
- 13:44Speaker 1: so much because he understands the effect it is. He
- 13:48Speaker 1: shields me from a lot. I just I just you know.
- 13:52Speaker 1: It's like I've been in the middle of a hurricane
- 13:55Speaker 1: and I'm the eye and I just sit there and
- 13:58Speaker 1: God has taught me this. It's gonna be a lot
- 14:01Speaker 1: swirling around you. You just stay in that eye, that
- 14:04Speaker 1: center where I got you. Don't step out in that
- 14:07Speaker 1: swirl and get caught up in it, and just let
- 14:10Speaker 1: the swirl happen. It's gonna die down. You know what
- 14:13Speaker 1: this is from We have been through this before, so
- 14:17Speaker 1: that's what it is. So I accepted, Man, get on
- 14:23Speaker 1: well we usually do. Yeah, now hear y'all, I think
- 14:29Speaker 1: it's even better. Come back something funny, asked the CEO,
- 14:37Speaker 1: the one to send the memo out that y'all want
- 14:39Speaker 1: to put all over the damn TV. You're listening, Steve, Well,
- 14:47Speaker 1: here we are. It's time for something funny and guess
- 14:49Speaker 1: what it is today. Y'all can come on and get
- 14:54Speaker 1: yourself warmed up right now, this is, asked the CEO. Yeah,
- 14:59Speaker 1: what a good time I'm to ask me something too,
- 15:01Speaker 1: fresh off the memo that's been all over TV? Is
- 15:05Speaker 1: this your favorite segment? Hell? Yeah, yeah, people don't get it? Well, yeah,
- 15:19Speaker 1: when do we start? Ye? Who asked the first question?
- 15:22Speaker 1: All right? First? Want you want to be first man?
- 15:27Speaker 1: Come on? Yeah, I have a very important question. And
- 15:30Speaker 1: since it's so new and so personal, excuse what I
- 15:34Speaker 1: do is I point at It's like a press comfort
- 15:36Speaker 1: Go ahead, new man. Okay, thank you very much, Mr Harvy,
- 15:40Speaker 1: Thank you very much for allowing me to ask a question.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Thank you for your gracious just allowing me to ask
- 15:44Speaker 1: you a question, to be in the same presence of it.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Just get to the question, though I'm trying to. I
- 15:51Speaker 1: just want to get all this out. Yeah, So my
- 15:54Speaker 1: question is so serious that what I'm gonna do is
- 15:56Speaker 1: I want to get Tommy to ask it. Okay, how
- 15:58Speaker 1: about that? So kind of has my question I'm through.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, that's exactly go ahead, Yeah, Mr CEO.
- 16:11Speaker 1: There was an email sent out of no cussing uh
- 16:16Speaker 1: here uh at the job. But it seemed like CEO,
- 16:19Speaker 1: you've been doing a lot of cussing. It seems like
- 16:21Speaker 1: you're contradicting what you're telling us to not do, but
- 16:24Speaker 1: you're doing it yourself. No, I ain't contradicted nothing. Y'all
- 16:30Speaker 1: can't cuss. You bet not cuss or you won't have
- 16:35Speaker 1: a job. I can't about to fry me. Next question, question,
- 16:42Speaker 1: That was his question. Yeah, yeah, question, Mr ceo, Mr CEO, Yeah,
- 16:54Speaker 1: I just want to know summertime coming along, vacation season
- 16:58Speaker 1: and starting up, and have you changed your mind your
- 17:02Speaker 1: policy on the no vacation uh stance that you've had
- 17:06Speaker 1: in the past, considering the memo that's floating around. Memo,
- 17:11Speaker 1: first of all, is not floating around. The memo was
- 17:15Speaker 1: leaked by a discruntial employee that ain't working in l A.
- 17:20Speaker 1: That's what that was. Now, as far as your vacation goal,
- 17:24Speaker 1: submit your vacations and then and I need a time
- 17:27Speaker 1: frame that you want to have a vacation, and I
- 17:30Speaker 1: determine whether you're going or not. Let's wait a minute. Huh,
- 17:37Speaker 1: But you know we're all old vacation. I mean that's
- 17:41Speaker 1: part of no no, no no. What you own is
- 17:43Speaker 1: your check and that's what you get. You're not old
- 17:48Speaker 1: of vacation, request of vacation. And if too many requests
- 17:53Speaker 1: is on the same day, somebody ain't going. Well, well, sir,
- 17:58Speaker 1: the problem is that you have all the vacation days
- 18:01Speaker 1: when you want to go somewhere. Yeah, well, well, well
- 18:05Speaker 1: it look like you need to get your own company.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Then don't go We're never going to vacation question. We're
- 18:16Speaker 1: stuck here, so you can't go on vacations. So the
- 18:20Speaker 1: option is get your own company. That's the option question
- 18:26Speaker 1: or we're stuck here. Next, but I'm not going to help,
- 18:29Speaker 1: just squashing now, next question, come one. Okay, So we
- 18:43Speaker 1: would like to talk to you before we actually go
- 18:47Speaker 1: on the air. Run some ideas by you. You know,
- 18:51Speaker 1: we send you emails and text messages and you don't answer.
- 18:56Speaker 1: So how are we supposed to get these ideas and
- 19:00Speaker 1: creativity going for the show. Well you ain't supposed to see.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Why would I do show PRIP when I'm already great?
- 19:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Mr CEO. Next question, Yeah yeah, a little man.
- 19:20Speaker 1: You said that we have to make an appointment to
- 19:23Speaker 1: speak with you. But we have to make an appointment
- 19:26Speaker 1: with you. Who do we make the appointment with you?
- 19:33Speaker 1: Don't get one? Talk to me? Next question, Make me
- 19:44Speaker 1: understand that it's been brought my intention that you're doing
- 19:46Speaker 1: some cutbacks. You've taken everybody's computer and replaced it with
- 19:51Speaker 1: pen and paper. Uh, how are we're supposed to look
- 19:54Speaker 1: up different things and find out what's going on in
- 19:56Speaker 1: the world You took our computer? Well, the computers just
- 20:00Speaker 1: huting the cutback, peing the papers old school m hm. Okay,
- 20:07Speaker 1: what's your problem? Well I can't google you work people
- 20:16Speaker 1: today you always want to google something, learn something. Go
- 20:19Speaker 1: down to her library, find a card catalog, look at
- 20:23Speaker 1: the book, get go see if the book is down,
- 20:27Speaker 1: do it the way I did. If you don't want
- 20:29Speaker 1: the job, move on, ce new Man. Yes, the question.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Do you like us? That's obvious. Let's see, let's see
- 20:47Speaker 1: what's going on. Okay, it's surely Strawberry with the Steve
- 20:50Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Um, okay, there have been several requests.
- 20:54Speaker 1: There have been several requestsments to CEO for interviews. Uh,
- 20:59Speaker 1: in light of this, I hate to keep bringing it up,
- 21:01Speaker 1: with this memo that's out here from you and they
- 21:05Speaker 1: no one can reach you. So consequently, we get the Texas,
- 21:09Speaker 1: we get the emails, we get the calls. What are
- 21:12Speaker 1: we supposed to say? Deal with it? Deal with it,
- 21:16Speaker 1: deal with it. I'm dealing with it. You deal with it.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Support your CEO. We do. We're exhausted. You exhausted. I
- 21:29Speaker 1: got farted for interview requests from sing in all the
- 21:33Speaker 1: way down the radio, dot online. You're a near as
- 21:37Speaker 1: exhausted as me. I'm trying to figure out how the
- 21:40Speaker 1: memo got to be such a big issue. We got
- 21:43Speaker 1: North Korea blowing up bombs over that closure Russia, we
- 21:47Speaker 1: got a president and find Kobe. You're sitting up in here,
- 21:50Speaker 1: you don't know what spaster talking about. We got a
- 21:54Speaker 1: whole world of chaos over here. The Republicans don't like
- 21:57Speaker 1: the Democrats. The Democrats don't like the Republican. Bernie Sanders
- 22:01Speaker 1: over that, trying to figure out what the hell are
- 22:03Speaker 1: he gonna do if he's gonna be in four years
- 22:06Speaker 1: to make a difference all of this is going on.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Is somebody worried about damn emo from up man? That
- 22:13Speaker 1: would be me. Deal with it. We will be back.
- 22:19Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 22:23Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. Guys, Uh, wow, you
- 22:26Speaker 1: hear the latest. Uh you got your your issue, Steve.
- 22:30Speaker 1: But Monique, our girl, Monique went in on Lee Daniels,
- 22:35Speaker 1: Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey. We'll talk about that at
- 22:39Speaker 1: the top of the hour. But up next right now,
- 22:42Speaker 1: it's church complaints because it's Monday. Yeah, uh soup. Honored
- 22:54Speaker 1: to be the past. Such a great church as jp
- 23:01Speaker 1: j J of the jp JJ, that's the Jack Pott Joints.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Gerald's Ali King Chene Pyley Liah. Try not to forget
- 23:18Speaker 1: your role in this thing, Deacon, Yes, thank you well.
- 23:26Speaker 1: On this Monday, as usual, begin to address the problematic
- 23:33Speaker 1: institution that is this church. We reside with the most
- 23:38Speaker 1: ungrateful membership in the history or congregation deaf Jaiman as
- 23:45Speaker 1: their representative, or go ahead a pass that we are
- 23:50Speaker 1: having a no weave Sunday every third Sunday. Yeah, Pastor,
- 23:56Speaker 1: we don't think this is going to be good for
- 23:58Speaker 1: the kids. We don't think they've app in church because
- 24:02Speaker 1: they won't know who their mothers are. We're asking you
- 24:06Speaker 1: if you approve for the kids to stay home. No,
- 24:09Speaker 1: we've funded. First of all, I'm shutting down. No, we've
- 24:16Speaker 1: Sunday we are. We are the jack Pot Joint or
- 24:21Speaker 1: the Red Rusal. Ain't no jackpot if ain't no people

- 28:17Speaker 1: breaking in witnesses to h man O all right, past that.
- 28:26Speaker 1: There was a situation this past Sunday. As you know,
- 28:29Speaker 1: it was Mother's Day. The oldest mother h mother Jill
- 28:34Speaker 1: Sender Cavanaugh, who was a hundred and three years old
- 28:37Speaker 1: with sixteen kids, grand babies and party, two great grand
- 28:42Speaker 1: babies and twenty one great great great grand babies. Um
- 28:46Speaker 1: wanted to have all the pews on the right side
- 28:49Speaker 1: of the church. But Moselle Sante says, all the Santees
- 28:53Speaker 1: were coming in. It was a hundred and eighty m
- 28:56Speaker 1: So if you were winding what was going on on
- 28:59Speaker 1: the right exacity take. They was aguing about the puge.
- 29:02Speaker 1: You're gonna have to fix this for next We are
- 29:06Speaker 1: quite curious about that deacon. Uh huh that uproll and
- 29:12Speaker 1: all the people look to say, and you know what
- 29:14Speaker 1: I said, going on, why is it so many ugly
- 29:18Speaker 1: people on the right hand side of it? They all
- 29:24Speaker 1: looks similar. I said, I been dug going. I'm sitting
- 29:28Speaker 1: over there, so I thought it was a Rumbe family
- 29:32Speaker 1: came in, all sitting over there, all the people in
- 29:40Speaker 1: the damn like that, all about the kasad that someone
- 29:44Speaker 1: was eating the kassa crazy. You know, I thought you
- 29:54Speaker 1: got to be sitting there and eat your mother days after.
- 29:59Speaker 1: But I don't eating it with their lips though they
- 30:02Speaker 1: never saw their teeth. They were just eating what they lips. Damn.
- 30:07Speaker 1: It looked like a rombe friendly Why want you all know? Also,
- 30:14Speaker 1: I've added that we're going to have oh oh, or
- 30:19Speaker 1: memorandom service for Harambee, the gorilla that got shot. Oh
- 30:30Speaker 1: h it for the head, a little baby in the park.
- 30:34Speaker 1: And then we're specially we're collecting an offering for the
- 30:38Speaker 1: baby that fell in the park with harambe right, Yeah,
- 30:45Speaker 1: because Mama woked his ass so bad when he got
- 30:48Speaker 1: out the gorilla cage, his whole left side and shut down.
- 30:52Speaker 1: We're trying to get him in therapy. He was trying
- 30:56Speaker 1: to rehab the baby. It's the baby could allow to
- 31:01Speaker 1: go to the zoo in in mopath and they he
- 31:03Speaker 1: will be at vacation violence and we'll be back to
- 31:10Speaker 1: talk about Monique when we come back. Oh man, a
- 31:14Speaker 1: lot of stuff you're listening, all right, ms Anna's coming
- 31:21Speaker 1: up with our national news and our headlines. But excuse me,
- 31:26Speaker 1: but first, let's get to this big story going around
- 31:29Speaker 1: Hollywood about Monique. Uh. Monique went in on Lee Daniels
- 31:34Speaker 1: and Oprah Winfrey over her allegedly being black balled in Hollywood.
- 31:38Speaker 1: We're gonna, we're gonna try and get to this story
- 31:41Speaker 1: as as gingerly as possible. Um. While performing at the
- 31:46Speaker 1: Apollo Theater world famous Apollo over the weekend, a video
- 31:50Speaker 1: surface of Monique telling the audience she was white balled
- 31:54Speaker 1: by some black d's okay, fill in the blanks. Not
- 31:59Speaker 1: only did she sing a lot, Lee Daniels and Oprah.
- 32:02Speaker 1: She also threw Tyler Perry's name in the mix for
- 32:04Speaker 1: not paying her or treating her fairly. She told the
- 32:08Speaker 1: crowd the media muguls could all suck her d if
- 32:12Speaker 1: she had one. Okay, apparently Monique called it white balding
- 32:18Speaker 1: because it's white folks in Hollywood who no longer want
- 32:21Speaker 1: to work with her. Take a listen, thank you, No, baby,
- 32:31Speaker 1: I wasn't bat ball. I was no. I see. I
- 32:34Speaker 1: know they'd like to say you talked to It would
- 32:37Speaker 1: kill me not to sing the real It would kill
- 32:39Speaker 1: me not to sing. You will not failing. So y'all, Okay, okay,
- 32:50Speaker 1: that was Monique. Yeah that was there. Those precious too.
- 32:53Speaker 1: That won't be done. I got the script. Let me
- 33:03Speaker 1: just that's it right there. Thing about me. If you're
- 33:13Speaker 1: my friend, yeah, I try to stay with you. Monique
- 33:19Speaker 1: been my girl for a long time. But Tyler Perry
- 33:24Speaker 1: is my friend. Oprah Winfrees my friend, you know what
- 33:28Speaker 1: I mean. They're good people. They're they're good people. But
- 33:33Speaker 1: I've always known Monique to be good people. So I
- 33:35Speaker 1: think I don't know if this well, I know it's
- 33:39Speaker 1: out of frustration. I know it's out of frustration. And comics, comedians.
- 33:44Speaker 1: We take our frustrations to the stage, right there, could
- 33:49Speaker 1: this be a big misunderstanding, just an all, a big
- 33:53Speaker 1: misunderstanding or miscommunication, because I mean, I understand what she said,
- 33:59Speaker 1: but absolutely right, that's wrong for saying because uh, and
- 34:03Speaker 1: I ain't gonna I'm not with her this time, Steve,
- 34:05Speaker 1: because I just did green Leaf, so I don't want
- 34:08Speaker 1: to make no enemy. I just did it, just did
- 34:14Speaker 1: it two episodes ago. You know what I'm saying episode
- 34:19Speaker 1: totally totally disagree and I worked for Tyler. Yeah, that
- 34:26Speaker 1: mean I ain't want my phone call to get this crazy.
- 34:33Speaker 1: She's my girl, but I'm just saying I'm not with that. Yeah. Yeah,
- 34:44Speaker 1: that's a tough one. Th that's we love all Yeah,
- 34:48Speaker 1: but I love Tyler Herr man, that's my dude. Man.
- 34:51Speaker 1: And Oprah just she's just been a real She's taught
- 34:56Speaker 1: me man, so many things. You know. I mean, I've
- 35:00Speaker 1: had some crisis moments and Tyler and Oprah have picked
- 35:04Speaker 1: that phone up. Let me help you out, man, Let
- 35:06Speaker 1: me help you out. Do this, do that? Do that?
- 35:09Speaker 1: You know? So can you. But then I have been
- 35:13Speaker 1: friends for so long, man, we toured together, We've done
- 35:17Speaker 1: everything together. I wish I could just say it was
- 35:23Speaker 1: just a joke. It sounded angry a little bit. Yeah,
- 35:30Speaker 1: we need to get to the news though, introduced to
- 35:39Speaker 1: see if that's gonna outweigh that memoir right now, yeah,
- 35:52Speaker 1: right now, just being there for each other. That's why
- 35:54Speaker 1: I'm kind of support. We're gonna play this back all morning,
- 35:58Speaker 1: just about you. Are you gonna link at all? Right,
- 36:13Speaker 1: Let's get ladies and gentlemen, miss and true, thank you,
- 36:17Speaker 1: thank you, everybody. Okay, the news, oh boy, all right, okay.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Euros Police agency says Friday's malware attack has hit at
- 36:24Speaker 1: least one hundred and fifty countries, affecting more than one
- 36:27Speaker 1: huer thousand organizations. Hundreds of cybersecurity experts on the job
- 36:30Speaker 1: now dispatched in an effort to stop the malware from
- 36:33Speaker 1: spreading further. Once people begin their new workweek today, please
- 36:36Speaker 1: don't open any detachments of something, attachments that you really
- 36:40Speaker 1: don't know. Don't open them, because it's a really world
- 36:42Speaker 1: of trouble. By the way, North Korea launched another missile
- 36:44Speaker 1: test over the weekend. The White House says this one
- 36:47Speaker 1: landed and water is closer to Russia than Japan, and
- 36:49Speaker 1: it's calling on nations to beef up sanctions against the
- 36:52Speaker 1: Pyongyang government. Members of Congress demanding clarification in the wake
- 36:56Speaker 1: up President Trump's Friday tweet where he seemed to suggested
- 36:58Speaker 1: private conversations are tween he and James Comb. You might
- 37:01Speaker 1: have been taped. So far, neither Trump or circus have anything.
- 37:04Speaker 1: They're not confirming it. They said they have nothing more
- 37:06Speaker 1: to say on the matter. But that upsets not only Democrats,
- 37:09Speaker 1: with some Republicans like South Carolina Senta Lindsey Graham. He
- 37:12Speaker 1: addressed the issue on NBC's Meet the Press. Can't be
- 37:15Speaker 1: cute about tapes, that there are any tapes of this conversation,
- 37:18Speaker 1: they need to be turned over. Sanda Graham is calling
- 37:20Speaker 1: for a SUBPOENA coalition of twenty five groups from across
- 37:23Speaker 1: the country held a Mother's Day bail out this weekend.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Poor black women being held in jail forgot their bails paid,
- 37:29Speaker 1: and the head of the group one of them. Many
- 37:30Speaker 1: ways Southern is on new ground. Mary Hooks told the
- 37:32Speaker 1: Reverend Sharpton about these women have told their stories, been
- 37:35Speaker 1: tried or convicted. You have one out of nine black
- 37:38Speaker 1: children without a parent, at home because they cannot afford bail.
- 37:43Speaker 1: And as black people, we have a mandate to avenge
- 37:46Speaker 1: the suffering of our ancestors and to earn the respect
- 37:48Speaker 1: of future generations. And was on MSNBC and today International
- 37:52Speaker 1: Baking Day, International Day of Families, and National Dinosaur Day.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Reminds me of my favorite movie. Now back to the
- 38:03Speaker 1: Steve Harry Morning Show. Your Gene the Butterfly coming up

- 38:32Speaker 1: want to say thank you, thank you, And all of
- 38:34Speaker 1: the standing ovations that I received. I just want to
- 38:36Speaker 1: say thank you so much. I'm understanding ovation every It
- 38:42Speaker 1: was seven shows, Stephen. In every single one of them,
- 38:46Speaker 1: people were on their feet for Eugene, Antoine Fergus, for
- 38:49Speaker 1: you or while you was out there when I first came,

- 39:11Speaker 1: the movie that I have written for all of us,
- 39:14Speaker 1: you're not gonna be in it due to your your
- 39:15Speaker 1: attitude and your your actions. So they're I have written
- 39:24Speaker 1: a film called Undercover Detectives. I'm about it because who
- 39:30Speaker 1: stole proper raad money? Jay was in there. You know
- 39:34Speaker 1: that Jay was in for Papa Rains money. Jerry did
- 39:42Speaker 1: he still poperate money. But but you're gonna threaten him
- 39:51Speaker 1: not in the next movie after he was in. His
- 39:57Speaker 1: attitude has changed, Stephen. It just just took a turn
- 40:00Speaker 1: last week and he just he just really he soiled me.
- 40:04Speaker 1: He really did. Can I just think you now? But
- 40:14Speaker 1: to set the record straight, Dancy Brown, Mr Harvey never
- 40:17Speaker 1: saw what was Popery money a good shot. It was excellent.
- 40:21Speaker 1: It was excellent and excellent and it only showed one time.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Obviously no one else felt that way. Well, I thought
- 40:31Speaker 1: it was a good play. Yeah, it was a good play.
- 40:35Speaker 1: You need more people to agree. Why are you throwing south,
- 40:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey? How that salt? It's just just a soalthy person.
- 40:46Speaker 1: It's just some mean Well, you just told Jay that
- 40:53Speaker 1: you weren't gonna put him in a new movie you wrote.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I just thought i'd bring up the play that you wrote.
- 40:58Speaker 1: M hmm. Now that brought up the emails that you wrote,
- 41:03Speaker 1: then I would be wrong. Moving at my email got
- 41:10Speaker 1: more views in that damn place. You're gonna make me
- 41:19Speaker 1: call TM. You're not gonna You're not gonna disrespect me
- 41:22Speaker 1: on Friday. He was home Sanday morning, coming up next
- 41:30Speaker 1: to Chance and he Brown will be here to murder
- 41:32Speaker 1: another hit. We'll be back at thirty four. You're listening
- 41:38Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, it's your boys time.
- 41:44Speaker 1: He's here. Time to slay another one, murder another one. Well,
- 41:48Speaker 1: you know what somebody told me, family feud. I don't

- 50:45Speaker 1: want to do this naturally. War war war war You're
- 50:50Speaker 1: you just said, Man, you gotta understand a real man
- 50:53Speaker 1: want to do. I want to do realistically. You know

- 51:06Speaker 1: You want to have a baby the real way though,
- 51:08Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. I don't give a damn

- 51:12Speaker 1: lay down in the bell my wife. Do you already
- 51:15Speaker 1: got three kids? Think about the people that can't have

- 51:35Speaker 1: my number. I got your number for one of the
- 51:37Speaker 1: brothers at the church. Now listen, I'm gonna just be
- 51:39Speaker 1: real with you like a man. I wanted to come
- 51:41Speaker 1: at you first and talk to you like a man
- 51:43Speaker 1: and see you know if you was cool with the proposition.
- 51:47Speaker 1: But look, come Sunday, I'm gonna go to your wife
- 51:50Speaker 1: and just talked on I'm just gonna go. I'm just

- 54:23Speaker 1: Maga Fish jumping off the comedy show June for who
- 54:28Speaker 1: all on the show? Me? Said the entertainer J. J. Williamson.
- 54:34Speaker 1: I'm forgetting this young lady's name. That's some um Insecure,
- 54:37Speaker 1: that's a TV show on HBO. I apologize my understand

- 56:16Speaker 1: Strawberry letter coming up. Subject somebody better come and get
- 56:21Speaker 1: this little boy. All right, we'll be back. You're listening
- 56:25Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey show, all right, that is correct. The
- 56:29Speaker 1: Strawberry letter is upon us. Subject somebody better come get
- 56:33Speaker 1: this little boy. Before we get to that, we got
- 56:35Speaker 1: to talk about Monique though. This is trending right now. Steve,
- 56:39Speaker 1: you were your all new Steve, you and your memo.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Yeah you're so, You're so yes. Yes. She went in
- 56:51Speaker 1: on Lee Daniel's, Oprah Winfrey, and Tyler Perry over her
- 56:55Speaker 1: allegedly being black balled in Hollywood while performing at the
- 56:58Speaker 1: Apollo Theater, the world famous Apollo Theater. You know it well, Steve.
- 57:02Speaker 1: Over the weekend, none of that video surface of Monique
- 57:09Speaker 1: telling the audience she was white balled by some black d's.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Not only did she single out Lee Daniels and Oprah,
- 57:16Speaker 1: she also threw Tyler Perry's name in the mix. For
- 57:19Speaker 1: not paying her or treating her fairly. She told the
- 57:21Speaker 1: crowd the media muguls could all suck her d if
- 57:25Speaker 1: she had one. I know this is crazy. Apparently Monique
- 57:28Speaker 1: called it white balling because it's white folks in Hollywood
- 57:31Speaker 1: who no longer want to work with her. Take a listen,
- 57:35Speaker 1: thank you, No, baby, I wasn't bat ball I was.
- 57:45Speaker 1: I see. I know. I'd like to say, it would
- 57:48Speaker 1: kill me not to say the real would kill me,
- 57:51Speaker 1: not to say I'm not fail all right, she sounds
- 58:01Speaker 1: like it was so bad to stump your up for
- 58:05Speaker 1: good luck. Got up and walked out. I just want
- 58:12Speaker 1: to say, man, just what are you as violent as
- 58:17Speaker 1: you can? Just you don't not them? Get it off,
- 58:20Speaker 1: meet it off, and get this story at y'all pissed
- 58:24Speaker 1: at me a by the memo. I just asked you
- 58:30Speaker 1: not to talk to me. I didn't ask you to
- 58:31Speaker 1: perform on on me. A matter of fact, I don't
- 58:37Speaker 1: want you to. I just asked you to just make
- 58:43Speaker 1: an appointment to talk to me. Stop and bushing me.
- 58:46Speaker 1: That's all I asked people. After because I got five
- 58:49Speaker 1: shows on the radio show, everybody to take advantage of me.
- 58:53Speaker 1: I just asked you, man, if you could just give
- 58:55Speaker 1: me a minute. Man, he know my space all the
- 58:59Speaker 1: day time with your own personal agenda, I got to
- 59:04Speaker 1: get lamb based at all over the damn te script. Well, Mo,
- 59:08Speaker 1: me got a whole nother message for your mon. Man.
- 59:17Speaker 1: He I suppoke Mo go vi, speak your mind, Mo
- 59:25Speaker 1: mo nique more. When next time I'm coming out, next
- 59:30Speaker 1: time do the story. We'll be back when this same
- 59:32Speaker 1: story bothered me by the damn memo? How you like
- 59:44Speaker 1: that memo? Now? I bet your brother had that memo
- 59:47Speaker 1: in that request. Yeah, all of a sudden memo. Ain't
- 59:56Speaker 1: that damn bad? Is it the time? In the love? Steve?
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Let's go let him. Let's nephew buckle up a long
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: time get object. Somebody better come get this little boy.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I've been with my girl. I thought
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: she was talking about Tommy up the Strawberry letter. Dear
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I've been with my girlfriend for about a
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: year now, and I love her to death. I feel
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: like I finally found my soul mate. Whenever we were
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: around each other, you can just feel the love. But
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: there's one problem. She has a very bad little boy.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: I have tried not to raise someone else's kid, but dang,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: her son is bad. He doesn't listen to anything anyone
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: says to him, and he talks back to everyone, from
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: his mama to his grandmama. He walks around the house
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: pointing out what's all his, and he tells me not
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: to mess with his stuff if I can try to.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: If I try to clean up his toys, he says,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: that's my toy. If I try to get something to drink,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: he says, that's my cup. When I'm talking to his mom,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: he tells me, that's my mama. Whenever I talked to
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: my girlfriend about her son, she brushes it off or
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: gets mad. She always says that he doesn't know any
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: better because he's only three years old, but he acts
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: like he's thirty three. Steve, this little boy even sits
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: on the couch and watches TV with his hand in
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: his pants like a grown man. I need your help.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: What I need your help? If I leave her because
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: of her son, that would not be right. If I
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: stay with her, I will have to put up with
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: a kid disrespecting me, and that just ain't gonna happen.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: That's what he said in the letter. What should I do?
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Please help? Uh? This issue is definitely one to be
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: taken up with your girlfriend, with your soul mate, with
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: the love of your life. I mean she's a mother.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: She's the one with the issue. She really is. Uh.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: When you talk to her about him, she gets mad
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: or ignores it. I mean, yes, he's only three years old,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: but three years old, Uh, they know right from wrong
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: At that point, he needs discipline. I'm not saying, you know,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: beat the kid or anything like that, but she's definitely
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: wrong for not not disciplining him and letting him know
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: at that moment what not to do. He has the
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: run of the house. They have allowed this. Where's his
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: father and all of this? Is his father even around? Uh?
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: This is an easy fix. I think, correct the baby
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: when he does wrong? Yeah, where is his father and
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: all of this? Steve, hein' got no daddy. I was
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: wrong with the little boy now and nobody father. That's
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: his whole problem. He has no male role model in
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: his life. That is, a young man had come along
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: and he want to beat at but the board have
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: been running amok so long to tear but twos then
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: extend it all off into his threes because thein' no
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: checking balance on this little board. There is no checking
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: balance on this board. Now, I agree with Shirley and
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: that you have to talk to the mom about this,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: but this ain't gonna work because every time you bring
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: it up, she brush it off for getting mad because
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: that you know, that's how they are about their kids sometimes.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: And when you come in there trying to raise somebody
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: else kids, man, because you see it going wrong, because
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: you know of a better way, then guess what, bro,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: You're gonna have to implement your better way. How many minutes?
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I got one more? One more? You got to put
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: them to the side. I haven't done it many times.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Wait what you got to pull him to the side. Yeah,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you when I come back exactly what
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: you can do. But you gotta put a little last
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: off to the side. Yeah. I've been with people having
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: little boys before, asked me to help raise the ass. Okay,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. Watch this hill. You ain't my daddy? Okay, Well,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: where is punker ass at there? Yeah? Where is he? Yeah?
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: I ain't. You ain't my daddy. I might not be,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: but you bet you don't know where it at. Though,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: first We're gonna get that straight. And when we come back,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: I'll tell you what you need to do to this boy.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: You're listening this letter. Somebody better get this little boy.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: And this man been dating this girl about a year
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: and I love it. The death got a soul mate everything. Uh.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: But she got this little bad boy and he tried
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: to You know, I have tried not to raise someone
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: else's kid, but dang, her son is bad. He don't
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: listen to anything his mama. You don't listen to his grandmama.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: He walked around the house pointing out was his tell
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: tell't me messed with his stuff. I try to clean
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: up his toys. He said, that's my toy. I get
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: something to drink. That's my cup. I'm talking to his mama.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: He tells me, that's my mama. When I talked to
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: my girlfriend about the sun, she brush it off or
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: she get mad. She uh. She always says that he
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: doesn't know any better because he's only three. The reason
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: he don't know no better is because ain't nobody teaching
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: him better. Children know what you teach them. Kids learn
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: respect after you teach it to him. Children are born,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: like Mark Luther King said with the drum major instinct.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: All kids want to be first. They cry for attention,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: they look for attention, They throw transtantly for attention. Well,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: I once they started throwing these tantrums, you gotta give
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: him that other kind of attention. So they don't want
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: that no mote. So now he said, I will not
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: put up with a kid disrespecting me. That ain't gonna happen.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: What should I do? Please help? Well, listen to how
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: you do it through. First of all, I've had a
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: little boy tell me you ain't my real daddy, and
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: so I said, well, hell yo, daddy, ain't chill real
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: daddy about that. See I've had boys tell me you
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: can't tell me what to do. You ain't my daddy.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Where is your damn daddy with his absence behind? Now
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: I'm over here trying to help you teach you something
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: you don't want. Man, miss me with that here, what
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: you got to do? You've got to get this boy
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: to respect you. The best way to get him to
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: respect you, because see he never had no consequences. Now
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: you can't give him consequences, but you can get his attention,
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: and you start by playing with him. See this is
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: how you teach your boy the alpha mayle through play.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: That's how they structure each other outside amongst each other,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: theyselves as friends. They play together. They determined amongst themselves
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: who the alpha mayo is. Because they do that through play.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: It works in all animal kingdoms. So take him outside
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: and play with him. Don't let him win a damn thing.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: He run past you, true shoestring his hands, he run
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: up on you, push him in the floor. Sometimes, just
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: play with him. Just snatch him, throw him way up
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: in the air, scared little ass. But catch him. But
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: but but put your man on him. Let him feel
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: your strength. So he go damn this dude right here. Different.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: But y'all just playing. No, but you're playing just a
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: little roughter, just a little bit. No, you don't want
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: to hurt him. He ain't gotta get made to cry.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: But he's gotta have that sudden burst of strength coming
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: from you. Like did he just snatch my ass up
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: by the collar And now I'm up in his face
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: and he talked to put me down that my shirt Now,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: well it is your shirt, but I got all of
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: it in my hand. So, son, young man, you gotta
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: put your man on this little boy, so he'll know
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: the difference between his mama, his grandmama, and that alpha
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: male sitting over there, because he has snatched my head
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: so to the point where he'll start growing a respect
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: for you, and then it will eventually turned around. But
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: then you're gonna have to say something to him, just
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: in his ear, just in his ear, just nobody, because
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: I beat your just you know, just keep moving. You
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: ain't gotta say nothing. I'm stronger than you. How your
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: weak ass field to day? And then snatch him up right,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: throwing way up in the air, and damn there, don't
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: catch him. Scares, have to dell. He's three years olf.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: You toss his grass up that nice y'all. No, but
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: I'm just telling you how you do it. I don't
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: want you to hurt the child. Don't hurt the baby
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: at all. Don't hurt him, not all. But you can't
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: play with him though, like me and play and rough
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: him a little bit and have his attention. Don't hurt
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: the boy. No, we aren't trying to hurt nobody, be abusive,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: but we do want his attention. And you get his
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: attention with your strength, and after a while he's gonna go. Wait,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: a minute, you know, like take him somewhere and just
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: hold him. And when he started squirming to get out,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: just tighten the grip a little bit, yeah, and then
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: squeeze him where the voice don't come out there, and
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: just keep that strength on him. I do it. I was.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: I was holding my grandson the other day. Little Beja.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: He want to get out, so he got a little wine.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: He do when he wanted mama's attention. So I just
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: locked him up. I just scuosed him a little bit tighter.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: Did not make it where you just you just need
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: to focus on your breathing, because Holland ain't working. How
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: about you just breathe regularly. I just locked him and
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: he'd be just squirting here. He was squiring with his mama.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: She damned and dropping because he beat me. You're squirming
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: with me. That ain't nothing. I just put that strength
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: on so now he knows when he goes over there
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: and see pap pa, uh, Mr strong Land, let me
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: quit trip it. And if I start tripping, gonna lock
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: me up. So now let me just be quiet for
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: this grip get tightened. You just gotta keep putting that
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: man on him, and you're gonna be funny. Somebody gotta
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: go down. I had a little no over here yesterday
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: on Mother's Day. All came over here to see my
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: little Noa. Just cool. He comes see me. He went
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: right up to me. But I thought his ass way
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: up in the air, his little ass get big. He
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: come down, he go and then he going didn't. But
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: at first though, Hey, I know he wanted to go, Hey,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: we're just too high. Now come on, come on too hot. Yeah,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I know that's what he wanted to say. And that's
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: what you gotta do. That's my answer to the matter. Now,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: what you want to talk about, Shirley, Well, um, it's
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: not what I want to talk about. It's what you
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: want to talk about. What we've been talking all morning. Well, Monique, Monique,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: what happened? Say that again? Happen that she went in
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: on Lee Daniel's, Oprah and and Tyler Perry. Um, she
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: was at the Apollo over the weekend. She was doing
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: stand up. I didn't even know she was still doing
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: stand up because it's been so long since we've heard
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: from Monique. But she told the audience she was whiteballed
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: by some black d's. Not only did she single out
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Daniels and Oprah. She threw Tyler Perry's name in the
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: mix for paying her and treating her, for not paying
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: her and treating her fairly. She told the crowd that
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: media moguls could all suck her d if she had one,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: and take a listen to this. This is thank you.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: No baby, I wasn't bat ball, I was I see.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: I know. I'd like to say. It would kill me
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: not to say the real would kill me not to say. Okay, uh,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: We'll be back right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right. Coming up at the
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: top of the hour, it's Weekend Confessions with the Nephew,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: Because what nephew, I'm not here to help you. I
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: just want to hear what you're going through. So get
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: on the phone and give us a call at age
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: seven seven twenty nine and Steve, the booth will be
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: open confess. Weekend Confessions coming up, But right now it's
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: um Ms USA. We got to talk about this. Congratulations
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: to the District of Columbia d C has won back
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: to back Miss USA titles. Karen McCulloch Kara McCullough is
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: her name. She's a twenty five year old scientist working
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: for the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. She was crowned on
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: last night at the Mandalaid Bay Convention Center on the
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Las Vegas Strip. We know it well. Uh. She will
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: go on to compete in the Miss Universe contest. The
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: pageant was hosted by Julianne Huff, Ashley Graham and our
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: man Terence j Uh. McCullough's win isn't without controversy though.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: During the first round of the question portion of a competition,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: McCullough was asked if affordable healthcare is a right or
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: a privilege. Here's what she had to say. Take a listen.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Do you think affordable healthcare for all US citizens is
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: a right or a privilege? And why? I'm definitely gonna
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: say it's a privilege. As a government employee, I am
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: granted healthcare, and I see firsthand that for one to
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: have healthcare, you need to have jobs. So therefore, we
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: need to continue to cultivate this environment that we're given
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: the opportunities of healthcare as well as jobs to all
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: the American citizens worldwide. All right. People on Twitter, though,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: tweeted that healthcare should be a human right and not
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: a privilege, so they disagreed with ms d C. Miss Usa.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: McCullough later went on to answer the second question of
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: a night. It was about what feminism means to her,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: whether or not she has one herself. Here's what she said,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: Take a listen. I'd like to look lately transpose the
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: word feminism to equalism. I don't really want to consider
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: myself trying not to consider myself like this, like die Hard,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: you know, like, oh, I don't really care about men.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: But one thing I'm going to say is though women,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: we are just as equal as men when it comes
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: to opportunity in the workplace. Alright, Uh yeah, some some
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: Twitter followers were upset about that. They say, it's incredibly
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: sad that in two thousand seventeen a woman is striving
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: to occupy a position of influence without uh any understanding
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: of what feminism really is. Hantag mis Usa, Why you
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: say that? Steve it ha else. Congratulations to Terence j
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: to Terence jj o't standard job the second year in
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: the row boy and he ain't got nobody name wrong yet,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: So another big up to keep it going to Jake.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: And also another one more big shout out to more
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: nice your boy. I'm with you on everything you do,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: but on this one right here, I just wanted to
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: say thank you. And it ain't that I agree with
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: what you're saying. I just want to say thank you, girl,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: thank you for being brave and jumping out there and
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: saying what was on your mind and getting some of
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: this damn heat off. Now all of a sudden, that
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: damn memo ain't that bad. Why do you always have
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: to make it about you. I don't have to, but
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: when you can, you shoot, take advantage of it. Right
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: I'm not gonna let this one go by. I want
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: to Monique's her husband, Sydney, and just thank you the
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: person recorded at the Apolo. Oh. This whole drama with
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: Monique started shortly after she won her oscar for Precious,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: remember that, and then the rumors were circulating that she
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: was tacky, she was difficult to work with. But according
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: to Monique, Lee Daniels told her she was black blacklisted
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: in the industry for not playing the game. Because Monique
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: didn't go around and do publicity for the movie Precious.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: She wanted to get paid for doing that, so that's
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: when all the drama started. But Monique was always a
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: sweetheart of person. Man, Monique was always a sweethearted person.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: Now her stand up has always had that edge. Oh yeah,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: her stand up has always been an edge to it.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: That that has always been Monique. Stop understood that part
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: of it and part of this was her stand up.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: But and it was in the stand up act. I
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: would look, can I be honest with you? I would well,
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. I
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: would love to hear the joke that was being told,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: because we got a clip in the middle of it. Yeah,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: and I would love to hear because a lot of
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: times we often put our social commentary in our in
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: our in our routine. You understood why I took that
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: back where I said no. First I said yes, and
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: I said now I hit a joke after that? What
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: followed that? What followed that, it was a good night,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: we love bless Mother's Day? Is this Sunday? I get
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: CDs in the lobby? I mean it wasn't. Yeah, you
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: got the clothes with that. That joke is a closing
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: jokes drop the make and possibly or career. Oh my god,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: j you don't agree right, not at all? Lee? Call
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: me yes, I will promote I will promote stuff, ain'ty Man,
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: Tyler Man just did Green lead for Tyler. If you
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: need something promoted, I got a little time on this show.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: I push it for you right here. Okay, in the
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: spirit of Tyler. I don't know Lee Daniels at all,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: but in the spirit of Tyler and in the spirit
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: of Oprah. Yeah, those people, I can tell you for
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: a fact, are not, you know, blackballing anybody per se.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: They're just too big for them. You know, they may
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: not pick you again, but that's on your own doing.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: But I don't think they're making phone calls going leave,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: don't touch you. Well. I wouldn't know that about Tyler
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: to be true, awful at all. I just don't. All right,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: coming up, we can confessions with the nephew. You call
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: us eight seven seven we'll be back right after this.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Show. Alright, nephew, we can confessions.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: This is all your nephew. Yeah, I'm not here to
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: help you. I'm just here to I just want to
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: hear what you're going through and give us a call.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: Eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve, it's time to confess.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: Whatever you did over the weekend. Don't call in here.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: What's your real name? Find you another name, and just
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: let it all out and let the nephew here what
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: you're going through. All right, let's go to the phone
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: line one. Let's go to James out of Tennessee. James,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: go on, on, man, what's going on? Man, what's happening?
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: It's all good. Man. My confession is that man, my girlfriend.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: She's always hanging out with her friends and her family
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: on the weekends. You know, she's always going out of
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: town with the many weekend. But when I tried to
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: do it, you know, there was a problem. There was
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: a big argument about it. You know, she I can't
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: do what she do When I do the same thing
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: she do. The problem. So this weekend, she decides she's
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: gonna hang out with a mom and a sister. I said, cool,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: I gotta work. But I really didn't have to work,
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: so I decided to go to Atlanta. You know, So
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: when she called me, I told her I was at work.
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: I couldn't talk on the phone. Normally that power it
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: is when a man worked, But I wasn't doing the
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: type of work that she out out was doing. So
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: when she got back Sunday. You know, I came back
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: in with my work clothes on, and she's like, how
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: would work this week? Guy's a man? Work was good.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: I got our sweaty and where they worked, so work
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: was dood man? So you made it thro them? She
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: don't know nothing. I don't know nothing, man. She's going
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: back out of town next week. He so am I
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: you too? Coming back to work? Always keep them work
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: close in there, keep keep them work clothes in the trunk,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: and keep them sweating so you can put that on
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: when you come in. Yeah, that is not good advice.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: Timing about what he said, you stupid? Get back the
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: hand to the ground. How many time many? I got
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: a character for you called uncle overroad. Man. We have
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: enough characters on this show. Thank you so much. Character.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: We can't get on your show, so we get on you.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: Let's go to line too and talk to t J
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: out of Kentucky. He's smart. He didn't give us his
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: real name DJ. They we're going on around. Good morning,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: Good morning man. What's your confession? All right? Don't judge me, man,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: but look I ended up skipping out on the Mother's
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: Day Bill yesterday. Man. God, No, Now, first of all,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: we get there, they say it's aalottle, So no twenty
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: five minute wait. I'm cool with that. I know it's
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: Mother's day. They sent us down. It takes about fifteen
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: minutes that's for the server to come by. They don't
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: apologize for my drink was wrong. So I'll just order
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: to order sam Adams they gave me above, Like I'm like,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: all right, whatever, just get just give me a gym
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: being you can't mess head up, just jim being neat.
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: Wait about another about fifteen minutes for that order. The
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: fool My youngest daughter's food was burnt. My oldest daughter's
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: food got there about fifteen minutes. Lay, I'm going, this
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: can't be real. So it actually took another server to
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: come by and like are y'all all right? Like all right, cool?
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: So you know what, Like my wife was just completely fresh.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: As I said, go ahead, go to the car. She
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: looked at me like what are you doing? Just go ahead,
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: go to the car. And she was like, what are
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: you doing? Just go to the car. Now, I know
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: everybody know what the supermarkets. I went here and bought
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: some gift cards because you know it gets a little
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: kroked points whatnot. So I bought a little fifty dollars
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: gift card. I look at the bill, I'm like, all right,
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars, and I'm about third, about thirty
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: ft from that front though. I slipped that gift card
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: in there. I said, it's about two dollars on that
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: gift card, Like all right. They went all the way
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: to the back. I just slipped out, and my wife
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: knew about it. My wife let me have it last night.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: We wait, wait, wait, wait, I'm a little lost. Maybe
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: I missed the bill was one fifty, right, the bill
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: was about what? Bill was about one fifty? And you
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: left a gift card that was two hundred. No, I
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: told you the waitress sounds about two hundred. I got it.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: So she so she bought a hundred dollars show. Uh
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: huh okay, I should have tipped the other waiter that
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: helped you. Yeah, so wrong. Do you think they might
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: come looking for you out of that? Your ass? I
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: own a restaurant, You need your ass cutting off my wife.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: That's what really just I know what you're saying that
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: as a restaurant owner, you agree with everything. Come on,
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: I always agree with you. Jack. You did you think
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: t J A man as you. All right, let's go
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: to line three and talk to Keisha of Illinois. T
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: sure oy crew. That's he's Carlos y Um, Tommy Junior day.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: It's a lot of y'all right. Yeah, we're crowded. Uh huh.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: What's your confession? Baby? So my confession is, first of all,
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: I can write a Strawberry book with my confession, but
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: I'm a summary down. Um, I found out that my
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: husband he was cheating, and he's been cheating the whole
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: time he was married. He's been married for three So
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: I decided, okay, I'm a patient person. I didn't get
