  Speaker 1: taxing and a very trying situation. That's very challenging for

  Speaker 1: me right now. Man, God just keeps on, keeps on

  Speaker 1: surprising me. He keeps doing things. And I want you

  Speaker 1: to look at your life. Or for a second, let's
• 3:02
  Speaker 1: make two columns here. Let's make a column of all
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: the things you want from God. You know, just do
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: that throughout the course of the day. You know, you know,
• 3:12
  Speaker 1: run down the list of all the things you're asking
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: God for, all the things you're praying for, the things
• 3:17
  Speaker 1: you aspire to, what you your dreams, your visions, whatever
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: it is. Just make a column, a list of all
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: those things. Let's make three lists. And then the second list,
• 3:28
  Speaker 1: I want you to make a list of everything that
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: you've been asking God for, so I guess that could

  Speaker 1: be a little bit of the same. But this third list,

  Speaker 1: I want you to do a check off point. I

  Speaker 1: want you to do a make a list of everything

  Speaker 1: that God has given you that you've asked him for.

  Speaker 1: Just think about it like that for a second. I

  Speaker 1: may be explaining a little wrong right now, but I'm

  Speaker 1: gonna pull it together for you. Make a list of

  Speaker 1: everything you're asking God for just just you know. It's okay.

  Speaker 1: got one. It's a vision board. You know. Every everybody's

  Speaker 1: got something you hope for. Make a list now. I

  Speaker 1: want you to make another list of everything you've asked

  Speaker 1: God for that he's given you already. See this is

  Speaker 1: a good list because sometimes and what I've been guilty

  Speaker 1: of and maybe you two in my request list on

  Speaker 1: my dream board. I keep focusing so hard sometimes on
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: the what I'm yet to receive. I keep focusing so
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: hard on the what I hope he gives me. I
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: keep focusing so hard on the things that I yet
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: not fulfilled in my life that sometimes as he starts
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: checking off my wish list, the things I've asked for
• 4:52
  Speaker 1: in the past that have come to pass that He's
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: given me, I sometimes, in praying for what I want
• 4:59
  Speaker 1: forgive to thank him for what He's done for me.

  Speaker 1: And I'm currently in the middle of that situation. And

  Speaker 1: this morning when I woke up, I really, man, I
• 5:08
  Speaker 1: just got on my knees this morning and I quit
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: tripping for a second. I said, Man, hey, God, you
• 5:13
  Speaker 1: know what I really do need? All them things I'm
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: asking for and I'm really am believing that you're gonna
• 5:19
  Speaker 1: give it to me. But in the meantime, though, Man,
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: have I overlooked some important details here? I had to
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: really look at what he's done for me. I mean, look, man,
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: take yourself out of it personally and look. Or you
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: can leave yourself in it however you want to be.

  Speaker 1: Some people can't do that, So just leave yourself in
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: it there. But man, I started looking at the eye

  Speaker 1: part of me, and I started looking around at what's

  Speaker 1: happening overall. Like, man, he has kept my family together

  Speaker 1: in spite of the attempts to tear it apart. I

  Speaker 1: look at all of that. I look at how he's

  Speaker 1: blessing my children with the desires of their heart, which

  Speaker 1: I pray for my kids. You know, I want my

  Speaker 1: kids to have a better life than I've had. I

  Speaker 1: really really do. I don't want them to take as
• 6:04
  Speaker 1: long as it took me to get it together. I

  Speaker 1: really really don't. I'm trying to say, hey, man, if
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: you go to college, this is what you can be.

  Speaker 1: Don't do like your father did. Don't go three years,
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: drop out, throw yourself into a spiral. And then got
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: to start to scratch all over again, you know, and
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: for the most part so far, you know, they're doing
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: quite well of it, you know, you know, they they're
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: getting kicked around a little bit, but that's life. I

  Speaker 1: started thinking of the blessings that he's helped me overcome
• 6:31
  Speaker 1: with some of the previous mistakes I've made in relationships
• 6:35
  Speaker 1: in my life. And then I started looking about the
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: things he's blessed me with that I've been asking him for.
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: But since I've moved on from it, I forgot to
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: keep thinking him because I gotta always thank God for
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: a roof over my head, because guess what, when I
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: was asking for the roof and I didn't really have it,
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: then he gave me one. Since he gave it to me, what,
• 6:55
  Speaker 1: I'm just cool now, I can't ever go back to
• 6:57
  Speaker 1: him and go, hey, man, I really do appreciate this
• 7:00
  Speaker 1: roof over my head because that was a time when
• 7:02
  Speaker 1: I was living in a car. But see, so every
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: morning I wake up, I gotta remember the fact that
• 7:07
  Speaker 1: I have a home now, because I got to look
• 7:10
  Speaker 1: back and go, man, that was time, Steve, when you
• 7:12
  Speaker 1: didn't have no home. But see, we forget what God
• 7:15
  Speaker 1: has done for us because in our column, the won't column,
• 7:20
  Speaker 1: the need column. We oftentimes forget for the columns and
• 7:25
  Speaker 1: the check marks as He's already fulfilled in our life.

  Speaker 1: You've got to take inventory every now and then daily
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: if possible. But I know we're humans. We're not gonna
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: do that. I don't. But you've got to take inventory
• 7:40
  Speaker 1: of your life to say, hey, what has God done
• 7:43
  Speaker 1: for me? You know? And remember something else too. Change
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: is good, but change is challenging. Accept the challenge that
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: it is. Look a lot of you come up to
• 7:56
  Speaker 1: me all the time and say, Steve Man, thank you Man,

  Speaker 1: or you in the morning. Man, I really be needing that,
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: Like I under said it a hundred times, but I'm
• 8:04
  Speaker 1: gonna say it again, y'all I'd be needing it too.

  Speaker 1: You know. You understand, sometimes what God is dealing with
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: me is for me. But now I'm in a sharing
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: position where I can open up and if I just
• 8:19
  Speaker 1: if I just quit being so about me and become

  Speaker 1: a little bit more transparent, I can maybe some of
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: me that's happening to me is happening to you, and

  Speaker 1: you can see some of this in me. That's why

  Speaker 1: I use myself as an example, because man, I'm catching

  Speaker 1: it too, y'all. I ain't perfect either. So for those

  Speaker 1: of you that come up to me and say that,

  Speaker 1: I want you to understand these these talks in the morning. Man,

  Speaker 1: this is important for me because man, I need these

  Speaker 1: conversations from God. I need God to continue to strengthen me,

  Speaker 1: to show me the way, to help me understand what's

  Speaker 1: happening to me. And see as we've all those of

  Speaker 1: you who have made the decision to change, to become

  Speaker 1: a better person, a better woman, a better boy, a

  Speaker 1: better girl, a better man. For those of you have

  Speaker 1: made the decision to change, change is a challenge, and

  Speaker 1: accept the challenge because it's gonna come. Because right out

  Speaker 1: of that here come to hats. It ain't come people

  Speaker 1: you don't even know, discussing your life and your change.

  Speaker 1: If God see you, really really mean what you say

  Speaker 1: in spite of what they say about you, God will

  Speaker 1: raise you above the phrase. He'll keep promoting you, He'll

  Speaker 1: keep blessing you, He'll keep moving you up. He will

  Speaker 1: communication and contact with him. That right there really releases

  Speaker 1: day that you're having into this preconceived mold of how

  Speaker 1: allow God to have a presence in your life, it

  Speaker 1: gives you the opportunity to relax and to be on

  Speaker 1: the lookout for what God is doing in your life.

  Speaker 1: presence in your life, a very real and constant presence.

  Speaker 1: to fit into His will. And when you developed that mindset,

  Speaker 1: just one door. Now. Look, somebody can say I've closed
