- 0:02Speaker 1: Y'all know what time of y'all don't know y'all back
- 0:10Speaker 1: a suit on, looking back, the back down, giving them
- 0:13Speaker 1: move like the million buck things in it coubs me.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Good it Steve har listening to the move together for study.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join join me. You do with me. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta turn you gotta turn to turnout, got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out, the turn, turn the water, the water go me.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your fat uh huh, I sure will. Oh,
- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now, one it all. It's Steve Harvey. Man
- 2:10Speaker 1: oh man, got a radio show, yo. Trying to make
- 2:13Speaker 1: it work too. I'm not trying. I'm I'm getting it.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I'm getting it done to the best of my abilities. Now.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Something funny my father taught me. He said, son, when
- 2:26Speaker 1: you've done all you can do, if you've done your
- 2:30Speaker 1: absolute best and you look up and it didn't get
- 2:35Speaker 1: the job done, take a deep breath and do some more.
- 2:42Speaker 1: That used to bug me, man, when my father used
- 2:45Speaker 1: to tell me, that's the son, when you've done your
- 2:47Speaker 1: absolute best and you think you can't do no more.
- 2:51Speaker 1: You've done all you can and it still don't get
- 2:54Speaker 1: the job done, take yourself a deep breath, and do
- 3:00Speaker 1: some more. And you know what I found that has
- 3:04Speaker 1: worked every single time, every single time, because what my
- 3:12Speaker 1: father knew was that what you think is your breaking
- 3:17Speaker 1: point or what you think is your all at all,
- 3:21Speaker 1: he says, son, it's just something about it. Man, If
- 3:25Speaker 1: you just gather yourself, you got a little bit more.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Everybody got some more. And you know, I gotta be
- 3:35Speaker 1: honest with you. It has worked. It has helped me greatly.
- 3:39Speaker 1: And you know everybody does have some more. You know.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I tell that to my sons all the time, that
- 3:46Speaker 1: I did my best. Well the manage you something else?
- 3:49Speaker 1: Could you have done anything else? Could you have studied
- 3:52Speaker 1: a little harder, Could you have shown up a little
- 3:54Speaker 1: bit earlier, could you stayed a little bit later? Yeah,
- 4:00Speaker 1: well then okay, that's what you should have done. Then See,
- 4:04Speaker 1: that's always a way. But if you're going to create excuses,
- 4:09Speaker 1: if you're gonna make them up all the time about
- 4:11Speaker 1: why you don't get it done, I have a very
- 4:13Speaker 1: very sad statement for you right now. You're never gonna
- 4:19Speaker 1: get anything done. You're never gonna get to the top.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Not to the top. You can get halfway up. Now
- 4:26Speaker 1: you can get a third of the way up, you
- 4:28Speaker 1: can get three quarters of the whaleup. But if you
- 4:31Speaker 1: don't have that little extra reserve in you, you're not
- 4:34Speaker 1: getting to the top. The top is only reserved for
- 4:38Speaker 1: those that have the wherewithal and the power to desire,
- 4:44Speaker 1: the drive and the gut wrenching effort to get to
- 4:50Speaker 1: the top. The top is reserved only for the top.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It's just the top. There ain't but one top then
- 4:55Speaker 1: the middle done it ain't it? You know, the top,
- 4:58Speaker 1: the top of the mountain have where it's a different
- 5:01Speaker 1: view at the top. Things look different from up top.
- 5:05Speaker 1: So if you want to get to the top of
- 5:07Speaker 1: whatever your profession, your field, your career, whatever it is,
- 5:15Speaker 1: you got to do extra. You have to do more.
- 5:19Speaker 1: More is expected of you. More, but his what's really crazy,
- 5:23Speaker 1: More is required of you. Don't live your life in
- 5:27Speaker 1: the lackadaisical state. Don't wake up every day with the
- 5:32Speaker 1: feeling of, well, you know, whatever happens happens, nah, man,
- 5:36Speaker 1: have us say so in your life. You. First of all,
- 5:40Speaker 1: let me ask you something. Who has God would named
- 5:45Speaker 1: the person that God has given authority over you named
- 5:49Speaker 1: the person? But who is the person. Nobody has domain
- 5:54Speaker 1: over you. God didn't create that person. So what you're
- 5:58Speaker 1: sitting here for? Man, what are you sitting here for?
- 6:01Speaker 1: Letting people who do not know direct your path? Why
- 6:06Speaker 1: are you worried about all these people with what they
- 6:09Speaker 1: got to say about you and all these people with
- 6:12Speaker 1: what they got to think about you? When here's the
- 6:14Speaker 1: news flash, they don't know either. All these people that
- 6:19Speaker 1: you overly concerned about, all these people that you going
- 6:24Speaker 1: to these answers for, they need answers to stop. What
- 6:30Speaker 1: are you doing here? Gather yourself for a minute. Here
- 6:34Speaker 1: is a solution to all of that. You have one
- 6:38Speaker 1: source that will be there for you till the end
- 6:41Speaker 1: of time, and that is your relationship with God. That
- 6:46Speaker 1: is the one thing that's solid and for show. He's
- 6:49Speaker 1: behind the wall. He's in your jail cell. He rides
- 6:53Speaker 1: with you in the police car. He's with you on
- 6:55Speaker 1: your job up at school. He's down there in the
- 6:58Speaker 1: board meetings with you. He goes with you when you
- 7:01Speaker 1: travel on planes. He sits with you when you're in
- 7:04Speaker 1: a relationship. He helps you with your parenting skills. He
- 7:08Speaker 1: helps you. He's there to assist you. He shows if
- 7:11Speaker 1: you do the right things He show you and guide
- 7:13Speaker 1: you to your next job. When you lose your job
- 7:15Speaker 1: and you think it's a rap ah, there's some good
- 7:18Speaker 1: behind him. Man, God is always working on your behalf.
- 7:22Speaker 1: To those that believe you, just gotta believe. He won't
- 7:25Speaker 1: ask you for nothing else. Believe in me. That's all
- 7:28Speaker 1: he asks you to do. What you're tripping for. Man,
- 7:31Speaker 1: And then when you make the decision to believe in him,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and it comes out your mouth from time to time
- 7:37Speaker 1: somewhere what you're worried about, what people say, What you're
- 7:40Speaker 1: worried about, what they think for? Why who are they?
- 7:43Speaker 1: They need God to you? You're telling them you found
- 7:46Speaker 1: something new that you're gonna give this a shot right
- 7:49Speaker 1: here now. They got some yang ying yang and some
- 7:51Speaker 1: yakety yact to say about that when they need God too.
- 7:55Speaker 1: That's what amazes me, fad about people sit up in here, man,
- 7:59Speaker 1: be knocking your dream and stuff. Look, if you're an atheist, man,
- 8:02Speaker 1: do your thing, do your thing. But you can't create
- 8:05Speaker 1: no laws. Why I can't do mine? Don't make no sense. Man,
- 8:09Speaker 1: That makes no sense at all to me. You have
- 8:13Speaker 1: the right to go be whatever you want to be.
- 8:16Speaker 1: You know, if you don't. You don't like the fact
- 8:18Speaker 1: that I'm in school. You got my head biled down
- 8:20Speaker 1: and I'm saying a prayer for I take this test.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Just don't buy your head. Don't you pray? But if
- 8:26Speaker 1: some kids want to get to go that that's some
- 8:27Speaker 1: crazy mass. That's what happened in our schools. We took
- 8:30Speaker 1: prayer out of schools. And now look at our schools.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You send your child to school and and someone else
- 8:37Speaker 1: comes back home. That's a whole other thing right here.
- 8:41Speaker 1: That's not what I want to talk to you about.
- 8:43Speaker 1: But I was just throwing it out because you know, hey, man,
- 8:46Speaker 1: your relationship with God is essential to your success as
- 8:49Speaker 1: a person. It's essential to your existence. It's essential to
- 8:53Speaker 1: where you're trying to go and what you're trying to be.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Because He made you. Why would you not talk to
- 8:59Speaker 1: the person that made you to find out what he
- 9:02Speaker 1: created you for. I ain't talking about your parents, who
- 9:06Speaker 1: made your parents. This is God, we created in his image.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Why would you not talk to your maker to see
- 9:13Speaker 1: why you got made? That? Don't that don't make sense
- 9:18Speaker 1: to you? If you're sitting and gotten yourself in a situation,
- 9:22Speaker 1: you're sitting in the jail cell somewhere you locked up.
- 9:25Speaker 1: You're doing some time, man, be a good time for
- 9:28Speaker 1: you to reflect. But whatever your situation is, Man, God
- 9:31Speaker 1: can get you through it. He can give you the strength,
- 9:34Speaker 1: the courage to wherewithal the understanding everything you need, the
- 9:38Speaker 1: wisdom to get you through anything you're going through. You
- 9:41Speaker 1: just got a touch base with him. I need God
- 9:45Speaker 1: every single day of my life and what He's done
- 9:50Speaker 1: for me. Man off the chain. But guess what you'll
- 9:55Speaker 1: do the same thing for you. You're listening to Morning Show?
- 10:02Speaker 1: How shall I do this? Good morning, everybody, Steve Harvey

- 11:13Speaker 1: to me, you too, Tommy, Shirley, Carl. I don't do
- 11:17Speaker 1: y'all like that about y'all. I don't know what this
- 11:26Speaker 1: is what I'm telling Lance, Hey, let's quit kill space,
- 11:37Speaker 1: late won boy, you sound like a magician, late one.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Get that name from who's that? My mama took my
- 11:49Speaker 1: uh daddy first part of his name, but dropped the
- 11:52Speaker 1: e because his name of devil. Leave. So they took
- 11:54Speaker 1: the e off and then and then they put then
- 11:59Speaker 1: they put my other cover who was before me, whose
- 12:02Speaker 1: name was one, and they said he gonna be lay one.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I didn't like it either. At birth a birth as
- 12:10Speaker 1: a baby, I crossed my arm. Don't you don't do me.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Don't do this hell late one, k l L. Don't
- 12:27Speaker 1: don't do the kill. Let uh d d m v
- 12:34Speaker 1: U V holo with next up, kill lay one Space.
- 12:43Speaker 1: We're on an airplane. We need customer seat umber twenty two. Baby,
- 12:49Speaker 1: I shall step to the front, gather your belongings and
- 12:52Speaker 1: come to the front. We're looking for kill lay one.
- 12:58Speaker 1: So why are you playing care as he doesn't care?
- 13:06Speaker 1: Lay on me doesn't Let me see how you would
- 13:11Speaker 1: mispronounce it though, Oh ladies and gentlemen, oh please welcome
- 13:17Speaker 1: killer one. Speech perfect down for a long time? All right, listen,
- 13:30Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two after the hour. Uh, dad
- 13:34Speaker 1: bods are sexier than six pack abs. We'll see what
- 13:39Speaker 1: the ladies have to say about that. And is it
- 13:41Speaker 1: a double standard? Right after this, you're listening to show.
- 13:47Speaker 1: According to a new Planet Fitness study, women actually prefer
- 13:52Speaker 1: the dad bod over six pack abs. All right, thank
- 13:56Speaker 1: god for that. I know you're welcome, guys, you've been Yeah.
- 14:01Speaker 1: The results of the Planet Fitness study suggests that women
- 14:05Speaker 1: are still being driven wild by a bit of extra pudge.
- 14:09Speaker 1: The survey recently revealed that, contrary to what you might
- 14:12Speaker 1: have believed, women do actually prefer a man with a
- 14:15Speaker 1: little bit of belly on them. Okay, thank you man. Yeah,
- 14:21Speaker 1: but but that begs the question. Yeah, is this a
- 14:24Speaker 1: double standard though? Because because do men prefer a woman
- 14:29Speaker 1: with a little belly with the mom bought. So you
- 14:35Speaker 1: don't care as long as what what was that, Steve,
- 14:43Speaker 1: I've got no problem with the mom bought. I don't
- 14:56Speaker 1: I don't you know, I don't you know, especially you
- 14:59Speaker 1: know mom bar women have babies, their body's gonna change. Well,
- 15:04Speaker 1: that's hard to snap all the way back. Yeah, that's good.
- 15:07Speaker 1: That's good to hear, because you know, there's so much
- 15:09Speaker 1: pressure on women on their physical lawrence and you know,
- 15:13Speaker 1: their bodies and all of that to be so perfect.
- 15:18Speaker 1: But yeah, I'm telling you, man, my wife's hairdresser was
- 15:22Speaker 1: at the house one time. Her husband dropped him off.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Real big guy man, I'm talking about, really really overweight,
- 15:29Speaker 1: nice guy man. I liked him and his wife. His
- 15:31Speaker 1: wife used to my wife's here and she cut her half.
- 15:35Speaker 1: You know, she's a stylish She cut her into her hair,
- 15:37Speaker 1: a little Halleberry cut. And she was over the house
- 15:41Speaker 1: kind of quiet one day and Marge, you said, baby,
- 15:44Speaker 1: what's wrong? She said, it's in here arguing with this food.
- 15:48Speaker 1: She said. My husband, you know, he saw my head.
- 15:51Speaker 1: He liked it. He come talking about heat like long.
- 15:53Speaker 1: I told him, Hell, I like muscles. Just what we liked,
- 16:01Speaker 1: but we got some of that, she said, But I
- 16:04Speaker 1: like muscles, but we got each other though about you like?
- 16:10Speaker 1: She said, Hell I like muscles. That shut it down? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 16:19Speaker 1: but but it is. Yeah, I thought it would be
- 16:22Speaker 1: more of a double standard because I know men are
- 16:24Speaker 1: so visual. I don't care woman a six pack? Would
- 16:29Speaker 1: you say what? I don't care that a woman has
- 16:31Speaker 1: a six pack? What is that going to miss? Nice
- 16:34Speaker 1: to look at it, but you know, no requirement six
- 16:37Speaker 1: and my two that don't ye? What is that? What
- 16:44Speaker 1: is that? Leader's time? That takes us? But if you
- 16:48Speaker 1: look at if you look at your man, then you
- 16:51Speaker 1: see him. Then I have no right to demand about
- 16:55Speaker 1: it if I can't provide him. Okay, now that sound
- 17:00Speaker 1: Yeah that makes damn sense? Yeah it really did it? Really? Yeah?
- 17:05Speaker 1: You mean somebody to be something you not? Yeah, a
- 17:09Speaker 1: lot of guys aren't as progressive as you. Guys you
- 17:11Speaker 1: know don't matter, but they can be non progressive. But
- 17:14Speaker 1: they'll be over that bodyselves somewhere. Yeah exactly. Or you
- 17:20Speaker 1: mess around and get some dumb woman with a sick pack.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Now what you got? What what did you say? Yeah?
- 17:26Speaker 1: I said us three is not that handsome? But we can't,
- 17:29Speaker 1: y'all too, I'm not that trio Temmy. Here we go. Hey, Hey,
- 17:36Speaker 1: I'm sitting here. Cute with a tupac. Okay, what's gonna
- 17:43Speaker 1: be ugly with a toothpacute? Unattractive as you want to
- 17:47Speaker 1: be cute with a too? I mean, I mean, and
- 17:50Speaker 1: let Tommy can't tell you something at times shockingly not
- 17:54Speaker 1: attractive you. Yeah, I've caught him my angles. I've seen
- 18:00Speaker 1: him from some different ladles like. But you can't convince
- 18:05Speaker 1: him of that. Steve tell me that he believes that's
- 18:09Speaker 1: because he looking out through one set of eyes. He
- 18:12Speaker 1: is he come out here and look at him through
- 18:15Speaker 1: these eyes. It's a lot wrong with you, Tom for
- 18:19Speaker 1: you to be tell me you know how much stuff
- 18:21Speaker 1: got to align? Well, you know what you need, Moon,
- 18:26Speaker 1: you need it's some sexy on me somewhere? Okay, where? What? What? What?
- 18:33Speaker 1: What you're doing? Sex? Well? Go ahead, I'm listening. We
- 18:36Speaker 1: got time. We all here. I think it's for the
- 18:41Speaker 1: guys to determine where another guy is sexy. No, no, no, no, no,
- 18:46Speaker 1: But he says sexy on me somewhere? Where is it? Tom?
- 18:49Speaker 1: What to tell him? Yeah? No, no, the latest? No,
- 18:55Speaker 1: the latest. No, ladies, don't you go first, you go
- 18:59Speaker 1: for hell no, no, seriously, Tommy, I've always thought this
- 19:04Speaker 1: about you. Really, Yeah, you have her? You have nice hands.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Your hands a nice hands. Well, I mean they're little,
- 19:15Speaker 1: they're a little bit. They're nice though they're always you know,
- 19:18Speaker 1: manicured and everything. Hell yeah, that's nice. Yeah, but that
- 19:22Speaker 1: still don't make it cute. Asra's hands is pretty? Who's
- 19:26Speaker 1: as the baby? He's six months old? What is that? Hands?
- 19:34Speaker 1: Don't help make his hand? You thought, man, that's all
- 19:37Speaker 1: you got is cute hand. Women like a man with
- 19:40Speaker 1: nice nic Is he cute? Hell no, he got nice hands, Junior.
- 19:45Speaker 1: She tried to give him something. Tommy is sexy? Carl
- 19:52Speaker 1: of What on? Tommy? Is there? Oh? Let me see
- 19:58Speaker 1: stand up? Ending up? Oh I'm not I'm up now, Okay, okay, okay,
- 20:06Speaker 1: let me let me scoop back. You don't see nothing
- 20:08Speaker 1: sex over here? Turn around? Well, you need a car
- 20:11Speaker 1: to be sexy like you like a roll? Roy, you
- 20:14Speaker 1: got nice heels? I got nothing. I got nothing. I'm
- 20:18Speaker 1: precious real, Timmy, I'm gonna get you got some. You
- 20:24Speaker 1: got nice heels. People don't even see my heels all right, listen,
- 20:34Speaker 1: keep the comments coming, okay, go to see Harvey FM
- 20:37Speaker 1: and social media. Yeah, and post your thoughts. Okay. Coming
- 20:41Speaker 1: up next, run that frank back. Right after this, Thank you.
- 20:45Speaker 1: You're welcome. You're listening to Steve Morning Show. Coming up
- 20:50Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, guys and entertainment news,
- 20:53Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about this viral video about this little
- 20:57Speaker 1: cussin uh kindergarten, uh kid in this graduating class. We'll
- 21:04Speaker 1: talk about that, okay, but first it is the nephew
- 21:06Speaker 1: up with run that prank back. What you got next?
- 21:10Speaker 1: Hot checks at the church, Hot checks at the check checks? Well, yeah,
- 21:23Speaker 1: all right, he is running cat hot checks at the church. Hello. Hello,
- 21:28Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach a Monica system. Monica Please, this
- 21:33Speaker 1: is Brother de Sean. I'm calling actually I'm a member
- 21:36Speaker 1: Greater Commissionary Baptist Church. How can I help you? Calling you?
- 21:40Speaker 1: Actually about the offering? Now? Did you I know you
- 21:43Speaker 1: paid your ties every Sunday? Okay? Now you paid a
- 21:47Speaker 1: love offering as well? Right, yes, I do. Okay, Now
- 21:50Speaker 1: this past Sunday, I'm looking at a check that you
- 21:54Speaker 1: left us with the bank, right right, sure, check Sunday? Okay, now,
- 21:59Speaker 1: the check, ma'am, was two hundred and fifty dollars. Am
- 22:03Speaker 1: I correct? Right? Right? I wrote two checks for my
- 22:06Speaker 1: ties and the Love Offering. Right, I wrote one for
- 22:09Speaker 1: two fifty for the Love offering. Okay, now what is
- 22:11Speaker 1: this call regarding why are you calling me? Well, what
- 22:15Speaker 1: I wanted to tell you is that I hate to
- 22:17Speaker 1: be a bar of bad news, but you your check
- 22:20Speaker 1: that you wrote for two fifty actually has bounced. And
- 22:24Speaker 1: wait a minute, you said my check bounce for two
- 22:27Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars. Your check bounce. So what I'm
- 22:30Speaker 1: doing is calling you about recouping the two fifty as
- 22:33Speaker 1: well as you know you you cost us thirty dollars
- 22:38Speaker 1: in bank fees. But wait a minute, now, I wrote
- 22:40Speaker 1: two checks. I wrote a check for one hundred dollars.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Did that one bounce? I don't see to it that
- 22:45Speaker 1: that that one bounced. All I know is the one
- 22:47Speaker 1: that the Love Offering has bounced. What did you put
- 22:50Speaker 1: them in at the same time? Because I wrote him
- 22:51Speaker 1: at the same time. They all go in on Monday, ma'am.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Now I didn't put them in at the same time.
- 22:56Speaker 1: I've been putting them in for the last two three years.
- 22:58Speaker 1: The problem is why would people write, then, what is
- 23:01Speaker 1: your name? M brother Deshaun? And you was at it Sunday?
- 23:04Speaker 1: I was there. I don't think it matters when when
- 23:06Speaker 1: I was there? Man. The problem is it that I
- 23:08Speaker 1: didn't put these checks in. And I don't understand why
- 23:11Speaker 1: y'all write these checks to the tracks knowing that they're
- 23:14Speaker 1: gonna bounce, because a lot of people write that good
- 23:17Speaker 1: well not right, bad checks? Why one clear? Why the
- 23:20Speaker 1: other one didn't clear? Maybe you didn't have enough money
- 23:22Speaker 1: for both of them to clear. What what did you
- 23:25Speaker 1: just say? Maybe you didn't have enough money in the
- 23:28Speaker 1: bank for both of them to clear. I don't understand
- 23:29Speaker 1: why people might planning money in the bank at all.
- 23:32Speaker 1: My checks clear. I don't write no rubber checks. Well
- 23:35Speaker 1: you wrote one on Sunday, and that's the problem. How
- 23:38Speaker 1: you gonna try to give a look you wait a minute,
- 23:40Speaker 1: I think you got me confused with somebody else. I
- 23:42Speaker 1: don't write no bad checks. You didn't wrote that to
- 23:45Speaker 1: be nice to you. I'm trying to be nice to you. Win.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Can we expect the two fifty plus the thirty dollars?
- 23:50Speaker 1: So thirty dollars that's the bank feeds man for the
- 23:53Speaker 1: doll gonna check bouncing. My check didn't bounce. I don't
- 23:57Speaker 1: check my bank. And if my check clear, you're gonna
- 24:00Speaker 1: pay me thirty dollars for calling me harassing me about
- 24:02Speaker 1: a two hundred and fifty dollar check bounce. I don't
- 24:05Speaker 1: write no. Why would you write check? What you want
- 24:07Speaker 1: to sit up in the church and write these big
- 24:09Speaker 1: number checks when you know you ain't got it in
- 24:11Speaker 1: the bank. What did you say? I said, why would
- 24:14Speaker 1: you write these checks when the money ain't in Now,
- 24:17Speaker 1: let me tell you that's one thing. I don't write
- 24:20Speaker 1: no bad check. And you got a lot nerds calling
- 24:23Speaker 1: me telling me my check bounce. Yo check is the
- 24:26Speaker 1: one that has bounce. And you tell you what you
- 24:28Speaker 1: do since my check bounce, you paid them, since you
- 24:31Speaker 1: got all the money, And don't call me with this again. Hello,
- 24:37Speaker 1: don't you hang up on me no more? Why don't
- 24:40Speaker 1: we gonna get this two fifty and this thirty dollars?
- 24:44Speaker 1: Somebody from the church, Toby, I wrote a bad check?
- 24:46Speaker 1: I write, no, you did write a bad check. I
- 24:49Speaker 1: didn't write no bad Yes, damn it? Why are you
- 24:52Speaker 1: calling me? Why the treasure? Don't call me at church?
- 24:55Speaker 1: The treasure is bis. I ain't never know the deacon
- 24:58Speaker 1: called nobody about no bad check your bullet? Thank you?
- 25:04Speaker 1: You got the money I ain't got Who in the
- 25:06Speaker 1: hell is that in the background? Who is that? Ever? Mine?
- 25:09Speaker 1: Who it is? We're both going to the same church,
- 25:11Speaker 1: and you're gonna call me to my I wrote a
- 25:13Speaker 1: bad check. You don't you call me no more? And
- 25:15Speaker 1: if the check bads, you paid? Okay? Keep passed to
- 25:19Speaker 1: know you talking like this? You pass to No you
- 25:21Speaker 1: calling me? Can you ask for that? Look? When are
- 25:24Speaker 1: we gonna get this? Two hundred and eighty dollars is
- 25:26Speaker 1: what we're looking for from you? I wrote a check
- 25:28Speaker 1: for two fifty and not get two eighty. You put
- 25:32Speaker 1: the thirty dollars with it. You put two fifty in there.
- 25:35Speaker 1: It bounced. Thirty dollars cost us on bait fees. That's
- 25:38Speaker 1: two eighty. Where can the church expect their money? Never?
- 25:43Speaker 1: Not no two eighty. You will never get to eighty.
- 25:45Speaker 1: You're gonna make me come by your and my check
- 25:47Speaker 1: in But what did you say? I'm gonna do what
- 25:49Speaker 1: You're gonna make me come by your house and get
- 25:51Speaker 1: this money? Bring it, bring it, bring you What is
- 25:56Speaker 1: the address on this check check. I got it off
- 25:58Speaker 1: the check bring own. I bet you you'll be limping
- 26:01Speaker 1: back and I'm watching you. You bet not be spending
- 26:04Speaker 1: no money nowhere. You bet not spend nothing until I
- 26:07Speaker 1: get this two fifty plus thirty whatever I want to Okay, No,
- 26:11Speaker 1: you you know where I am. And you don't call
- 26:13Speaker 1: me no more with this because my check did not bounce.
- 26:16Speaker 1: I don't see how one check went through and the
- 26:18Speaker 1: other bounce. Let me say this to you, we cannot
- 26:21Speaker 1: accept you back into the House of the Lord no
- 26:23Speaker 1: more until you are not. Don't you coming there Sunday
- 26:27Speaker 1: until we get coming up in the Sunday. And I'm
- 26:30Speaker 1: gonna make sure I find you because you the person
- 26:33Speaker 1: I want to see you. And you know what, I'm
- 26:35Speaker 1: gonna call the pastor right now and asked him because
- 26:38Speaker 1: I don't believe my check bounce. You fully what Let
- 26:41Speaker 1: me say this before you called pastor, I got no
- 26:43Speaker 1: I'm anna called pastor. No, you should have talked with
- 26:45Speaker 1: pastor before you call me with this information. I got
- 26:48Speaker 1: one more thing I need to say. You ain't got
- 26:50Speaker 1: nothing to say to me. You don't upset me with this.
- 26:53Speaker 1: I'm talking about I bounced a check. You should have
- 26:55Speaker 1: went to pastor before you call me with it. I
- 26:58Speaker 1: tall a pastor one I got, but I got one
- 27:00Speaker 1: more thing to say before I leave. Is you're listening?
- 27:02Speaker 1: What are you about to say to me? What do
- 27:04Speaker 1: you have to say now that you're gonna pay the check?
- 27:07Speaker 1: This is Nephew Timming from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 27:11Speaker 1: You just got pranked by your girlfriend. What did you say, baby?
- 27:20Speaker 1: This isn't what did you say? I'd say? This is
- 27:24Speaker 1: nephew timmy baby brother, Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your girlfriend
- 27:29Speaker 1: has pranked you. I'm gonna beat that. She just left
- 27:34Speaker 1: him flying out to her. She didn't let me ask
- 27:40Speaker 1: you one more thing though, baby? What is the baddest
- 27:42Speaker 1: radio show in the land? The Steve Harvey Morning And
- 27:53Speaker 1: there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. There you have
- 27:56Speaker 1: it too much and there you're gonna get it more
- 28:01Speaker 1: like it? Yeah? Who all been to church? Y'all go
- 28:04Speaker 1: to church? Who went to church? Yeah? You means this
- 28:07Speaker 1: past Sunday? Yeah? Yeah, y'all ain't going to chas my
- 28:13Speaker 1: husband didn't want to go. Why y'all paid y'all time? Yes,
- 28:20Speaker 1: it's past Sunday. I'm asking all of you all, have
- 28:23Speaker 1: you paid your time? My cute tupac self pays my tax.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Amen to that. Amen, have you paid your tax? That's
- 28:36Speaker 1: what I'm asking you should this month. I have Yes. Sunday, Yes,
- 28:41Speaker 1: call me to answer your question, Broderick, what you want hithing? Tithing? What? All? Right?
- 28:50Speaker 1: Listen at the time. Yeah, coming up at the top
- 28:54Speaker 1: of the hour, and we'll have some entertainment news for
- 28:58Speaker 1: you to talk about this little kid cousin at his
- 29:01Speaker 1: kindergarten graduation. We'll get into it right after this. You're
- 29:06Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, Donald Trump's
- 29:12Speaker 1: interview with George Stefan Stefanopolis was a ratings disappointment for ABC.
- 29:19Speaker 1: The hour long special, edited down from thirty hours of
- 29:23Speaker 1: time spent with the President, came in third behind the
- 29:26Speaker 1: US Open on Fox and CBS is sixty minutes during
- 29:30Speaker 1: the Sunday time slot. Even with all of the tweets
- 29:33Speaker 1: from mister Trump trending before the interview air date, only
- 29:36Speaker 1: three point ninety one million viewers, according to TV by
- 29:40Speaker 1: the Numbers. That's a sharp drop from Celebrity Family Feud
- 29:44Speaker 1: hosted by our Barry yone Steve Harvey here by check
- 29:48Speaker 1: this out, which pulled in yes, six point one million
- 29:53Speaker 1: Steve the week before. So congratulations to you. What have
- 29:57Speaker 1: we learned here? People? What have we learned? Steve? Let
- 30:03Speaker 1: That's all I can say. You know, when mister president,
- 30:05Speaker 1: you know, just ain't you know this ain't no, yeah,
- 30:13Speaker 1: mister game. Now, well, I hope this is a trend.
- 30:17Speaker 1: People are getting sick of it. They're getting tired of him.
- 30:19Speaker 1: People prefer surveys that, yeah, maybe they'll show up at
- 30:22Speaker 1: the polls next year. Yes, And I mean, you know,
- 30:28Speaker 1: with that interview, you know they released a lot of
- 30:30Speaker 1: it before it aired. Some kind of knew when he
- 30:34Speaker 1: was talking about he would take information from a foreign
- 30:37Speaker 1: country about an opponent. You know that came from that interview.
- 30:41Speaker 1: So people kind of, I guess, well and want to
- 30:44Speaker 1: see all that. Right. We also hear that the you know,
- 30:47Speaker 1: the president is ratings obsessed. Uh. He's promised he will
- 30:51Speaker 1: do more network interviews throughout his reelection campaign. He probably
- 30:55Speaker 1: won't have a choice. You know, he's probably going to
- 30:58Speaker 1: have to show up what to do interviews, do interviews
- 31:02Speaker 1: to get ratings. You know, he's probably going to have to. Now, well, office. Yeah. Yeah,
- 31:10Speaker 1: he's going to go to these rallies with these red hats.
- 31:14Speaker 1: What people love him? Where he gonna have to worry
- 31:17Speaker 1: about getting attacked and that's what he gonna do. Uh,
- 31:21Speaker 1: they didn't found this one black dude to put behind him.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Talking about the rally last night, yead do they make
- 31:29Speaker 1: the guy that stand back then? What that check? That's
- 31:32Speaker 1: enough to be a supporter? Yeah? M at the campaign rally. Oh,
- 31:44Speaker 1: I don't know. But we got to get out and vote. Yes,
- 31:46Speaker 1: we have to. We have to register, We have to
- 31:49Speaker 1: educate ourselves, and we have to vote next year. We
- 31:52Speaker 1: really do. We have to pay attention to these debates
- 31:55Speaker 1: which start later this month. We have to do all
- 31:57Speaker 1: of them. I'm to get in the game the Democrats, Man,
- 32:01Speaker 1: we gotta play games similar to them. You got y'all
- 32:04Speaker 1: got to stop eating each other up out here on
- 32:06Speaker 1: this campaign trail. You ain't that and the ones that
- 32:09Speaker 1: ain't gonna win, y'all come on out. You're talking about man,
- 32:13Speaker 1: all these we were nominating one person, yes, and then everybody.
- 32:20Speaker 1: You know, if it's not gonna be you, right, you
- 32:23Speaker 1: know now you already if ain't nobody, if anybody donate
- 32:29Speaker 1: to your campaign. You can't run an ad on on Facebook,
- 32:34Speaker 1: you can't buy a flyer. Come on, yeah, yeah, it's
- 32:39Speaker 1: gonna it's gonna kick off when the debates start. Um,
- 32:43Speaker 1: we'll see the ones that need to stay in it. Biden,
- 32:48Speaker 1: of course, Harris, Camela Kamala, but though I think so,
- 32:58Speaker 1: Elizabeth n she can hang around, but well she's number three.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Then the last pole I heard Biden, Sanders, Warren Harris.
- 33:09Speaker 1: So far. Yeah, all right, Steve, time for the headlines.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Let's go, ladies and gentlemen. Miss Anne Tripp, thank you
- 33:19Speaker 1: very much, everybody, and good morning, Good morning the North
- 33:23Speaker 1: Carolina Children's Hospital. Everybody ears up suspending heart surgery for
- 33:27Speaker 1: the most complex cases, penning investigations by the state and
- 33:31Speaker 1: federal regulators as well as a group of outside experts.
- 33:33Speaker 1: As in North Carolina Children's Hospital. The action apparently in
- 33:37Speaker 1: response to last month's New York Times investigation where cardiologists
- 33:41Speaker 1: and even the former head of the hospital expressed concerns
- 33:44Speaker 1: about patients faring poorly after heart surgery in that hospital
- 33:48Speaker 1: and that in fact, death rates at North Carolina's Childrens
- 33:51Speaker 1: Hospital has been close to fifty percent fifty percent when
- 33:54Speaker 1: it comes to complex operations. In the meantime, UNC Healthcare,
- 33:58Speaker 1: which runs that facility, has introduce several initiatives designed to
- 34:01Speaker 1: quote restore confidence in his pediatric heart surgery program. But
- 34:05Speaker 1: again North Carolina Children's Hospital suspending heart surgeries for now
- 34:09Speaker 1: they have a fifty percent death rate. Apparently. Last night,
- 34:12Speaker 1: President Trump officially kicked off his reelection campaign with a
- 34:15Speaker 1: rally in Orlando, Florida. He made sure to provide the
- 34:17Speaker 1: red meat that his support is love. He's talking immigration,
- 34:20Speaker 1: promising to send illegals back home as as soon as
- 34:23Speaker 1: they get here, with ice starting the push next week.
- 34:26Speaker 1: He said one hundred and sixty million Americans are now
- 34:28Speaker 1: working they weren't working before that, the African American poverty
- 34:31Speaker 1: rate is lower that the Democrats have become quote unhinged,
- 34:35Speaker 1: and his new slogan will be keep America Great. Donald
- 34:39Speaker 1: Trump actually never stopped running for president. In fact, he
- 34:42Speaker 1: followed the necessary twenty twenty campaign paperwork just so, as
- 34:44Speaker 1: you know, on this day of the day of his inaugurations,
- 34:47Speaker 1: who as he was inaugurated, he went inside and signed
- 34:49Speaker 1: the paperwork to run again. He's been holding regular political rallies,
- 34:52Speaker 1: as you know. The whole time he's been in office.
- 34:55Speaker 1: On another matter, the President's refusing to apologize to the
- 34:57Speaker 1: Central Park five, but taking out full age ads in
- 35:00Speaker 1: the New York Times and elsewhere calling for their executions.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Back in nineteen eighty nine, as we all know now,
- 35:06Speaker 1: all five men were complete exonerated after another guy came
- 35:09Speaker 1: forward and confessed and his DNA was a spot on
- 35:11Speaker 1: match to that found at the scene. And sounding very
- 35:14Speaker 1: much like he did when reacting to the deadly Charlottesville
- 35:17Speaker 1: racist march when he said they were good people on
- 35:18Speaker 1: both sides about the Central Park case, the President says,
- 35:22Speaker 1: you had people on both sides of that, whatever that means.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Almost a year after an African American state representative in
- 35:28Speaker 1: Oregon was stotball campaigning in her own district in question
- 35:31Speaker 1: after a white woman called the police, state, senators in
- 35:33Speaker 1: Oregon have passed the bill that now allows the victims
- 35:36Speaker 1: of frivolous, racist, and generally mean spirited police calls to
- 35:39Speaker 1: sue the people who made them. Today's June teenth, when
- 35:42Speaker 1: we celebrate the day in eighteen sixty five that enslaved
- 35:45Speaker 1: Africans in Texas found out that the Confederacy had actually
- 35:47Speaker 1: lost the Civil War, I spoke to the late Dick
- 35:50Speaker 1: Gregory about that. I'm so glad that June tenth is
- 35:53Speaker 1: not just one day of one weekend, but there's spectivities
- 35:57Speaker 1: all over the country. One of the infestant things in
- 36:00Speaker 1: about June. The largest June tivation is not in America.
- 36:05Speaker 1: It's in Canada. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:08Speaker 1: You're listening to show, here's a trending news story. Guys.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Bill Cosby got slammed on social media after referring to
- 36:17Speaker 1: himself as America's dad. This was in a Father's Day tweet,
- 36:21Speaker 1: but it's a role he's apparently been playing for his
- 36:24Speaker 1: fellow prison inmates. Cosby's rep says, um, he has a
- 36:29Speaker 1: large audience in prison who come to listen to him
- 36:32Speaker 1: lecture about life. A few times Becausby talk Well, I
- 36:36Speaker 1: mean he's lecturing them, Um, He's talks about leading by example,
- 36:41Speaker 1: staying out of trouble, and being a good father. He
- 36:43Speaker 1: mostly meets with a group called Man Up, which consists
- 36:46Speaker 1: of inmates do for parole, and he talks to them
- 36:49Speaker 1: about getting on the right track and staying out of prison. So,
- 36:53Speaker 1: I mean, you know, that's not a bad thing that
- 36:55Speaker 1: he's doing in prison, especially for the people that are
- 36:58Speaker 1: just getting out. I mean, right, yeah, you know. Look,
- 37:01Speaker 1: Cosby has always been a great father, you know. Uh,
- 37:05Speaker 1: He's always been a man about education. He's donated hundreds,
- 37:11Speaker 1: hundreds of millions of dollars to education. He's done a
- 37:16Speaker 1: lot for the more House College, for Fisk for so
- 37:20Speaker 1: many HBCUs, he's done a lot. Now he's paying for
- 37:25Speaker 1: a crime, you know. But the other other aspects of
- 37:29Speaker 1: his life that were okay, you know, but he's paying
- 37:32Speaker 1: for the criminal part of it that he did. You
- 37:35Speaker 1: know that he was convicted for. Well, I mean, and
- 37:39Speaker 1: what he's doing here is a good thing. He's talking
- 37:41Speaker 1: to to these inmates who who are due for parole
- 37:44Speaker 1: about getting on the right track staying out of prison. Right,
- 37:49Speaker 1: it's a good thing. You know. People want you to
- 37:55Speaker 1: be buried and go away rush, but that's not how
- 37:59Speaker 1: it works. Well in today's society, you cannot make a mistake.
- 38:02Speaker 1: You're you're done. Yeah, yeah, it's crazy, you know, there
- 38:08Speaker 1: are no second chances anymore. No, like you said, he's
- 38:12Speaker 1: doing a good thing. Yeah trying. I'm trying to do
- 38:14Speaker 1: a good thing. Yep. So there you have him up
- 38:20Speaker 1: I mean, they did eat him up on social media
- 38:22Speaker 1: because he called himself America's dad. Yeah, I mean, you
- 38:25Speaker 1: don't look, that's what social media does. You know, just
- 38:28Speaker 1: had to make a lot meant for them, you know.
- 38:34Speaker 1: But I don't think he was expecting that though. On
- 38:37Speaker 1: social media. The backlash, Oh, come on, come on, come on,
- 38:41Speaker 1: come on. There's nothing you can do on social media
- 38:44Speaker 1: and not expect backlash. I haven't seen anything. I haven't
- 38:49Speaker 1: seen a person post anything. And now it's mostly love.
- 38:53Speaker 1: When you do something good, there is mostly love. But
- 38:55Speaker 1: you better believe here comes somebody. Oh yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Stop Stop feeling bad when you're not loved out there.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Stop feeling bad, get over that. Let that go. I
- 39:12Speaker 1: don't know, don't let that be the reason you're ticking
- 39:15Speaker 1: and waking up in the morning. Coming up next to
- 39:17Speaker 1: thirty four after the hour. Today is June tenth. Everyone,
- 39:21Speaker 1: Juneteenth will tell you why Senator Mitch McConnell does not
- 39:25Speaker 1: believe in reparations for African Americans. Right after this, you're
- 39:30Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, guys, today
- 39:34Speaker 1: is Juneteenth. It is a nationwide celebration that honors the
- 39:38Speaker 1: end of slavery in the United States. Today, we reflect
- 39:41Speaker 1: on part of Americans America's history and commemorate the freedom
- 39:46Speaker 1: and independence of African Americans in America and around the world.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Juneteenth was first celebrated in Texas back in eighteen sixty five. Now,
- 39:55Speaker 1: according to juneteenth dot Com, it isn't known exactly why
- 40:00Speaker 1: it took two and a half years for slaves in
- 40:02Speaker 1: Texas to learn that they have been freed. Some accounts
- 40:06Speaker 1: claim that a messenger was killed while heading to Texas
- 40:09Speaker 1: to deliver the news. Others say that the slave owners
- 40:12Speaker 1: purposely withheld the information from them. Check this out yesterday,
- 40:16Speaker 1: Senator Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's easily we believe that. Okay, well,
- 40:24Speaker 1: so check this out though. Senator Mitch McConnell yesterday was
- 40:28Speaker 1: asked if he supported reparations for African Americans, and he
- 40:33Speaker 1: doesn't support it. Take a listen. I don't think preparations
- 40:37Speaker 1: for something that happened one hundred and fifty years ago,
- 40:39Speaker 1: for whom none of us currently living or responsible is
- 40:42Speaker 1: a good idea. We've tried to deal with our original
- 40:49Speaker 1: sin of slavery by fighting a civil war, by passing
- 40:53Speaker 1: landmark civil rights legislation, we've elected an African American president.
- 40:59Speaker 1: I think are always a work in progress in this country,
- 41:03Speaker 1: but no one currently alive was responsible for that, and
- 41:09Speaker 1: I don't think we should be trying to figure out
- 41:13Speaker 1: how to compensate for it. First of all, it'd be
- 41:15Speaker 1: pretty hard to figure out who to compensate. We've had
- 41:17Speaker 1: waves of immigrants as well have come to the country
- 41:20Speaker 1: and experienced dramatic discrimination of one kind or another. So no,
- 41:25Speaker 1: I don't think reparations are a good idea. Whoa, I'm
- 41:30Speaker 1: par but our sentiments right, But he's saying that as
- 41:37Speaker 1: the beneficiary of the reason. You'll hear nobody in the
- 41:42Speaker 1: boom booing because that's how the majority. You don't even
- 41:47Speaker 1: understand how many Americans feel that way. And first of all,
- 41:51Speaker 1: let me share with you what this man says. We've
- 41:54Speaker 1: tried to write out sins of slavery. The original Civil War.
- 42:00Speaker 1: The Civil War broke out because you wanted to keep slaves. Yes,
- 42:05Speaker 1: that's what Civil rob broke out for, because you're thirteen
- 42:09Speaker 1: Southern states wanted to keep slaves. You you wasn't with
- 42:14Speaker 1: this message that came from North to free slave where
- 42:17Speaker 1: not letting nine of them go? The second thing was
- 42:21Speaker 1: we tried to correct. It was passage of civil rights laws, y'all.
- 42:25Speaker 1: Fotos on every tooth and nail, You sick guard dogs
- 42:28Speaker 1: on us fire hoses. You kill Martin Luther King, you you, you,
- 42:33Speaker 1: you in jailed, you imprisoned anybody that march walked. You
- 42:40Speaker 1: made black people have to wear signs and say I
- 42:43Speaker 1: am a man to get you to understand the basic
- 42:46Speaker 1: rights of us. You didn't give us civil rights. We
- 42:49Speaker 1: set in, we march, we protested for civil rights, and
- 42:55Speaker 1: we died. And then you have the nerve to vote
- 42:59Speaker 1: on the Vote His Rights Act every other damn year
- 43:03Speaker 1: to see if you still gonna allow us to vote.
- 43:05Speaker 1: And then that last ignancey we elected an African amer
- 43:10Speaker 1: We ain't let no damn mush you. Your ass did
- 43:16Speaker 1: not vote for him, pulled for him, and you did
- 43:19Speaker 1: nothing but try to destroy him. So what would you
- 43:22Speaker 1: expect this hell billy to say other than what he said.
- 43:27Speaker 1: But it's got to be kidding me. I'm not even
- 43:30Speaker 1: surprised or pissed off, because let me tell y'all something.
- 43:35Speaker 1: And I heard I heard these people talking about these
- 43:37Speaker 1: reparations because it's good, because right now it's doing a
- 43:40Speaker 1: voting year. This goes down the vine so fast, y'all.
- 43:45Speaker 1: I bet you I won't be sitting around waiting on no,
- 43:47Speaker 1: not from this country we live in today. But as
- 43:52Speaker 1: if because those things he mentioned, we should be okay, yeah,
- 43:56Speaker 1: yeah we could. Yeah yeah, you had an Africa an
- 44:00Speaker 1: American president. We should be satis. Yeah yeah. We're trying
- 44:05Speaker 1: to direct our scenes. You're not no, you're not all right. Listen,
- 44:10Speaker 1: we want to hear from you. Please tell us what
- 44:13Speaker 1: you think. Uh, should we get reparations? Go to Steve
- 44:16Speaker 1: Harvey FM on social media to comment on this. Okay
- 44:20Speaker 1: and switching gears right here. Nephew Tommy is up next
- 44:23Speaker 1: with a prank phone call right after this you're listening

- 46:45Speaker 1: you know you're not making no noise at yoga, that's
- 46:47Speaker 1: that's not a problem. A good deal. Well, how quick
- 46:50Speaker 1: can I actually get moved in? Man? I'm trying to

- 47:01Speaker 1: get moved in, man, something something that I can actually
- 47:03Speaker 1: call home, you know. Uh yeah, well you know we're

- 47:23Speaker 1: to do a credit check, you know, we meet, Um,
- 47:26Speaker 1: I can do the background check and uh no, no,
- 47:30Speaker 1: what what what? What? What? What? What? What do you
- 47:32Speaker 1: necessarily need to do that for? Well, you gotta know
- 47:34Speaker 1: who you're into, and then you want to know what
- 47:35Speaker 1: the credit they got, so if they can afford the
- 47:37Speaker 1: rent or not. You know, I got I got real
- 47:39Speaker 1: good credit. Man, My credit is fine. I'm not I'm
- 47:41Speaker 1: not eight hundreds on my credit scores. Oh damn. All
- 47:44Speaker 1: right when you get here is how you feel out
- 47:47Speaker 1: of application. But you know, if you if if you're
- 47:49Speaker 1: ready to get it cracking, I can do. I can
- 47:50Speaker 1: do a background check, and you're right not give me
- 47:52Speaker 1: a SOB security number. Okay, but let me let me
- 47:55Speaker 1: go ahead and just do this man on that background
- 47:57Speaker 1: check because you know what I want to say about
- 47:59Speaker 1: that is it might be something on there about like
- 48:03Speaker 1: when I was on the East Coast. You know, I
- 48:04Speaker 1: was actually teaching, uh, naked yoga. You know what I mean,
- 48:07Speaker 1: naked yoga. Uh you know you may see something on
- 48:10Speaker 1: there about me being a nipple naked yoga yo. See
- 48:14Speaker 1: that's what I was kind of yoga I was teaching
- 48:16Speaker 1: on the East Coast, was naked yoga, you know what
- 48:17Speaker 1: I'm saying. And everybody was teaching naked yoga here. Well,
- 48:20Speaker 1: but see it's in the backyard. It's closed in, you know,
- 48:22Speaker 1: in the backyard. And you what what what other glitz
- 48:26Speaker 1: you got? You said, there's some glitches, Michael, Well what
- 48:28Speaker 1: is it glitz you got? Well you might see that
- 48:29Speaker 1: I'm a niffomania. But see, but see I took some

- 48:44Speaker 1: me now, that's on the east coast. Man, that's that's
- 48:46Speaker 1: all behind me. Now, I didn't put that thing down. Man,
- 48:48Speaker 1: I don't care if it's behind you in front of

- 54:00Speaker 1: be reading another alive on the air, just like we're
- 54:02Speaker 1: going to read this one right now. Sorry, love, hold
- 54:05Speaker 1: on tight, we got it for you. Here. It is
- 54:07Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter, all right, subject your child is too
- 54:11Speaker 1: darn big. Dear Stephen Shirley, I need some advice. I
- 54:15Speaker 1: am a thirty year old babysitter at my church's daycare,
- 54:19Speaker 1: and I'm really concerned about one child at the daycare
- 54:22Speaker 1: because of his weight. The boy is only four years
- 54:24Speaker 1: old and the average weight of his age is thirty
- 54:27Speaker 1: five to forty pounds, and I know this because I
- 54:29Speaker 1: looked it up. It's against the church daycare policy for
- 54:33Speaker 1: me to weigh the children, but I'm almost sure this
- 54:36Speaker 1: boy weighs at least sixty pounds. This is a big
- 54:39Speaker 1: problem for me, so I monitor his food and drinks
- 54:42Speaker 1: all day long. The daycarees menu is carefully planned by
- 54:46Speaker 1: a nutritionist and we offer very health conscious snacks, so
- 54:50Speaker 1: it has to be from what he eats at home.
- 54:53Speaker 1: His parents are both on the larger side too. It
- 54:57Speaker 1: is obvious that this child isn't used to playing and
- 55:00Speaker 1: running around as much as he should because he gets
- 55:03Speaker 1: tired so quickly when he's had recess. He tries to
- 55:06Speaker 1: keep up, but he can't and he starts panting and
- 55:08Speaker 1: breathing heavily. He has started throwing food back at me
- 55:12Speaker 1: and the other babysitter. If we give him something healthy
- 55:15Speaker 1: like carrots or apple slices as a snack, he complains
- 55:19Speaker 1: of being hungry after lunch. So his mom started sending
- 55:23Speaker 1: fruit snacks and other sugar retreats for him to nibble
- 55:25Speaker 1: on throughout the day. I try to politely tell his
- 55:29Speaker 1: dad that his son demands to eat most of the
- 55:32Speaker 1: day and he throws food at us if he doesn't
- 55:35Speaker 1: want what we give him. The dad proudly said, that's
- 55:39Speaker 1: my boy. He's always had a nice appetite. So how
- 55:43Speaker 1: can I revisit this topic without getting the parents upset
- 55:46Speaker 1: and without getting into trouble at work. I love kids,
- 55:49Speaker 1: and I have three of my own, so this really
- 55:51Speaker 1: concerns me. I bet you are going to tell me
- 55:54Speaker 1: to mind my own business, Steve, I can't this time.
- 55:57Speaker 1: I know I should speak up. Please tell me how
- 56:00Speaker 1: to handle this well. First of all, I gotta say
- 56:03Speaker 1: thank you for caring. I mean, we definitely need more
- 56:06Speaker 1: people like you in the world. You definitely have three
- 56:08Speaker 1: kids of your own and your babysitter at the church,
- 56:12Speaker 1: and you care what's going down at the church. But
- 56:14Speaker 1: now you got to know that when you're talking about
- 56:17Speaker 1: other people's kids, it's more than likely always going to
- 56:21Speaker 1: be a problem. Okay, And so many parents are uneducated
- 56:25Speaker 1: when it comes to how harmful the wrong foods can be.
- 56:28Speaker 1: I mean, clearly his parents are you said they were
- 56:31Speaker 1: on the larger side. His parents are clueless. I also
- 56:35Speaker 1: suggest that not only is the baby overweight, he's four
- 56:40Speaker 1: years old. This kid is overweight. He needs some discipline.
- 56:42Speaker 1: I mean, why is he throwing food back at you?
- 56:44Speaker 1: This is a bad kid right here. This is completely
- 56:48Speaker 1: unacceptable what he's doing. So I would first get with
- 56:51Speaker 1: the nutritionist and set up a meeting with if it's
- 56:54Speaker 1: a female, a male, set a meeting with him or
- 56:57Speaker 1: her and the four year old's parents do that imediately.
- 57:01Speaker 1: Maybe if the parents hear it from the nutritionists, they
- 57:04Speaker 1: will start making better choices at home, maybe because obviously
- 57:10Speaker 1: they're not doing that. They're sending him sugary snacks, you know,
- 57:13Speaker 1: to school so he can eat throughout the day. That's
- 57:16Speaker 1: not good. No, that's not good. And maybe he throws
- 57:18Speaker 1: food at home and he's just a bad, undisciplined kid.
- 57:21Speaker 1: So all that needs to be discussed. Then you can
- 57:24Speaker 1: have a separate meeting with the parents about his behavior,
- 57:28Speaker 1: because this is, as I mentioned, totally unacceptable. This kid
- 57:32Speaker 1: is four years old, Why what is he doing and
- 57:35Speaker 1: why his relationship with food is crazy? Already at four
- 57:40Speaker 1: this is his parents' fault. They need to be educated,
- 57:43Speaker 1: They need to know the real The father in school
- 57:47Speaker 1: saying that's my boy proudly. No, that's not how to
- 57:51Speaker 1: handle this. This is definitely a teaching moment in this family.
- 57:54Speaker 1: And that's what I suggest you do. Set up a
- 57:56Speaker 1: meeting with the nutritionist. You don't want to lose your
- 57:59Speaker 1: job over the You definitely don't want to do that
- 58:01Speaker 1: because you could. You want to handle it gingerly. You
- 58:04Speaker 1: want to get maybe the administration involved, all of that. Okay,
- 58:07Speaker 1: to handle this. Remember, this is the four year old kid.
- 58:10Speaker 1: This is your job. And these parents sound like they're
- 58:12Speaker 1: they're they're not too with it. They just want to
- 58:15Speaker 1: do what this kid wants to do. All right, Steve,
- 58:19Speaker 1: oh so glad, Well go forward your child. It's too
- 58:27Speaker 1: damn be it says. Darn huh, it's darn big for real,
- 58:38Speaker 1: d a r n. It's darn that ours connected to
- 58:42Speaker 1: the U. She's thirty old, babysitting at the church day kill.
- 58:50Speaker 1: She's concerned about this boy down there because of his weight.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Now the boy's foe and she said the average weight
- 59:01Speaker 1: for his ages between thirty five and forty pounds. She said,
- 59:05Speaker 1: I noticed because I looked it up. But I'm sure
- 59:09Speaker 1: that this boy weighs at least sixty pounds plus. Now
- 59:13Speaker 1: you're probably thinking out there, well, forty pounds. If he's sixty,
- 59:18Speaker 1: that's twenty pounds old weight. Yeah, but here two foot
- 59:22Speaker 1: eight though. See you put sixty pounds on two foot eight.
- 59:38Speaker 1: See when you're two foot eight and you're sixty pounds,
- 59:42Speaker 1: it's a lot of stuff. You look, since y'all that church,
- 59:45Speaker 1: prop up one the real thick bibbles and stand him
- 59:48Speaker 1: next to it. So now we got a problem. The
- 59:53Speaker 1: Daycarre's menu is planned by nutritionists off a very healthy,
- 59:59Speaker 1: conscious snacks. So the lady says, got to be what
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: he eat at home when we come back. I'll tell
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: you exactly what he eating at the house when he
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: come back, and I'll tell you why he gets so tired.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: So damn quick at rest, all right. We'll have part
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three after
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: the hour. Subject of today's Strawberry Letter, your child is
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: two darn big. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Steve, Let's recap today's Strawberry Letters.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Subject your child is two darn big, ain't that much
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: to recap? Prow you old boy down there at the
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: church where Lula was sixty seventy pounds. He is standing
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: over there in the corner. You're bore over there, looking
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: like SpongeBob. Strong little boy over there giving them all
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: they want. Now, you don't understand how he don't wait
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: this much because of all this nutrition y'all packing into
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: these very healthy conscious snacks. You say, so, it's got
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: to be from what he eat at home. You damn right,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: it's what he eat at home. Now you've been in church, Laddy,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: you say this parents is both on the larger side too.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: What do larger side mean? Well, let's look at him.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: He two foot eight, he weaved out seventy Are you
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: doing here? But I'm just trying to work out which
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: What does she say when she saved? They're both on
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: the largest right, right, she says. He tries to keep up,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: but he can't because he starts panting and breathing heavily.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: He was just wheezing, that's all. So we went over
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: there and we got him, got his little lass up,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: and then he went over there to the marriage go around.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: He jumped on it and threw all the kids up
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: in the hell. So what do we have to do, Hill,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you. Take him out
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: of the small day kids sitting daycare. Excuse me, take
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: him out of the daycare and put him in the
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: regular Sunday school class with the big kids. Really, yeah,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: he can't pass for baby no more. But to put
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: him in the junior card class with the eight year old.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Let's put him on over there. He folded double his weight.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: He didn't double his weight, mikes with double his age.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Put him in there with eight year olds. Now here's
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: the other problem. When he's he tries to keep up,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: but he can't. He starts panting and breathing heavily. He
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: has started throwing food back at me and the other babysitting.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: If we give him some healthy like carrots or apple
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: slices as a snack, yeah, y'all don't want this. This
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: ain't what I You can't look like this with these
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: cats and apple slices. Y'all ain't got no pie. He
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: complains of being hungry after lunch or his mom started
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: sending fruits, acts and other sugar retreats for him to
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: nive long throughout the day. This boy just need a
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: constant shot. I tried to politely tell the dad his son,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: the man to eat most of the day, and he
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: throws food at us if he don't get what they want.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: And the dad said, that's my boy always had nice appetite.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: So how can I revisit this topic without getting the
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: parents upset and without getting into trouble at work? I
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: love kids, I have three of them all, so this
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: really concerns me. I bet you're gonna tell me to
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: mind my business, Steve. No, I'm not gonna tell you
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: that you should. But I'm not gonna tell you that.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: And so I think if he's throwing food at you,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: whatever food he throw at you, you ought to throw
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: it back. I t I tack his little chubby ass
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: and stuffed food down and throw way you're gonna do it?
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Can't run? You just said he can't run? Nowhere throw
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: it back about Yeah, ain't trying to set a good example.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: What you're gonna do? You throw it on me? Maybe
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: you get someone you you stop all the throwing. I
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: think to get Shirley, what question would you want to
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: ask me? What you want to ask me about this? Now? Seriously,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I think she should really have a talk with the parents.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Do you think she should mention this to the parents
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: or have a meeting with Yeah, yeah, but they're gonna
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: be something. They're looking at it like she craze I
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: have you ain't never talked to no real What's what's
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: the difference with big press? What the same thing? If
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: you ain't it talking about what he eat at the house?
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: They see this fit and not be your business. So
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: because the lady said what, they're going to tell the
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: teachers none of your typical Because for your son, what's
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: the typical breakfast? Who? He probably eaten? My he doing
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: the I half a dozen exs. He's only four. Appetise,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: he got a nice appitude. You know, I sit there
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: with him. Sometimes I can't even hang with him. I
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: eat my phone. Y'all got to get going to do
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: it because he's dealing them sometimes he degree he eat
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: eggs right over my plea. Don't you know you're feeding
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: him too much? He's only a four year old boy.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: You're growing ball or miss Strawberry. Yes, yeah, he's a
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: growing boy. Well, I'm concerned he's he's a bit overweight
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: for his age and side well, you know, look here now,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: miss Shirley, that's you really getting into really a touching
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: area with us discussing weight. You know, we don't see
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: nothing wrong with his weight. Is you thinking there's something
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: wrong with him causing his weight? Well? I looked it up.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: You looked up what I looked up the average weight
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: for for a boy four years old, and it's thirty
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: five to forty pounds. Your son is uh sixty right
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: at six right? Yeah, and he's frown Yeah. So I'm saying, yeah,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: health wise, you know this is not good. I want yeah,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: well you know, oh I tell you whatn't Miss Shirley.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Did you take that over with my wife? All right, Look,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: we could go. You can email us or instagram us
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: your thoughts on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: or you can check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand. Yes,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: ma'am coming up at forty six after the hour. Wait
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: till you hear this four year old kindergartener at graduation
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: who was just cursing at the teacher. We'll do that
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: at forty six after the hour. Right after this, you're
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Morning Show, there's a viral video.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: That's everywhere. Guys. It's a kindergarten graduation. I'm not sure
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: of the city, but it's just this a little boy.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: The teacher comes in to greet the class, and a
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: little boy starts just cursing at the teacher. Take a
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: listen to this. Good boys, girls, you need to leave?
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah? Yeah? Wow, Oh my god, wow wow. Say
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: I mean, but for this board to yell this out,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: how is he? Sir? Well, I mean it's a kindergarten graduation,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: so I'm assuming he's four or five, yeah, somewhere along
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: in there. M First of all, he's repeating behavior that
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: he's witnessed repeatedly because the timing of it was just
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: too perfect. He knows what to say, got the rhythm that, Yeah,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: he knew when to say it. Yeah, something to blank up? Yeah,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: do you need to leave? No? Blank boy? I can't
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: even tell you. Man. The back of my head would
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: have been off. Yeah, all of us. Yea, the way
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: we were murder with witnesses, yes, get away yeah, or
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: or do the time. Yeah. Our parents would have done
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: the time. Yes. That what I mean? What do you think, Steve?
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Was it just for attention on the boys? Part or
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: why why would a kid do this? You're right, I
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: can't imagine that that's for at tension. He thinks he's
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: showing off. I don't think it's for I think it's
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I think he's done this in the past, and I
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: think he's gotten some form of fred praise for the boy.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: You so funny. Somebody said it was, y'all bet a
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: quick custom mind this baby. Yeah, that's why I say
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: for attention. Yeah, yeah, for that very reason. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: I guess if that's what you call it, Yeah, I
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: think so. I think I think it's deplorable behavior, that
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: it's no place for that. Yet now in the video
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: his a man, hopefully it was his dad did snatch
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: him up and take him out of the class. You
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: don't want We did see that, ye, him being removed. Yeah,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: at home they're doing all day long. No, Now, you'd
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: have thought we used it in football drill. My daddy
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: would have came through the body, stiff as a board,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: straight in the air and tackle my ass out there.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: It would have been crazy, man, there's no way I
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: could have done that. All right, guys, we're moving on,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour. Our health

- 1:12:16Speaker 1: forty five. Oh man. But the reason why she had
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: so much success because she was committed to the process.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: She was ready for this. She was all in. And
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: one other little note I always like to add that
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: she had high blood pressure since she was nineteen years old.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: The young lady was thirty nine now, so she had
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: been on medication for twenty years to this very day.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: Right now, she is not suffering from that anymore because
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: she changed her diet by using that clan. Wow, and

- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Last night, President Trump was
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: in Orlando, Florida, to officially launch his twenty twenty reelection campaign. Yesterday,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: Trump tweeted a re election campaign promise to deport millions
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: of people living illegally in the country beginning next week.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: He wrote. Next week, ICE will begin the process of
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: their way into the United States. They will be removed
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: as fast as they come in. This mass deportation is
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: expected to focus primarily on those who have already been
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: issued final deportation orders. Wow. Wow, that's not major right there.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: That's his campaign. Yeah, that's what he's running on. Yea.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: His wife got her paper. May be nice as the
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: ice stopped by the White House. The money an, that's
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: this the same, yea. His re election campaign promise is
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: going to deport millions of people living illegally in this country.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: He says, Wow, beginning next week, So he's wasting no time.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: I mean, really, perhaps some o families. Yeah, and there's
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: a lot of stuff that we need to fix, you know,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: like healthcare and things like that. I mean we can
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: get to we can't fix not until he leads. Yeah, basically,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: well then we might. That's gonna take a long time
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: if he and for eight years. Yeah, there were a
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: lot of people at the rally, A lot of people
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: at the rally. All right, coming up, we'll have more
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and some trending news
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: coming up at thirty three after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: you're listening to Harvey Show. Well, guys, today is Juneteenth.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: It is a nationwide celebration that honors the end of
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: slavery in the United States. Check this out. Though. Senator
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: Mitch McConnell yesterday was asked if he supported reparations for
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: African Americans, and he doesn't support it. Take a listen.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: I don't think reparations for something that happened one hundred
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: and fifty years ago, for whom none of us currently
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: living or responsible is a good idea. We've tried to
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: deal with our original sin of slavery by fighting a
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: civil war, by passing landmark civil rights legislation, we've elected
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: an African American president. I think we're always a work
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: in progress in this country, but no one currently alive
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: was responsible for that, and I don't think we should
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: be trying to figure out how to compensate for it.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: First of all, it'd be pretty hard to figure out
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: who to compensate. We've had waves of immigrants as well
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: have come to the country and experienced dramatic discrimination of
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: one kind or another. So no, I don't think reparations
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: are a good idea. WHOA I'm for but our sentiments right.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: But he's saying that as the beneficiary of sleep. The
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: reason you're hear nobody in the boom booing. You don't
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: even understand how many Americans feel that way. And first
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: of all, let me share with you what this man says.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: We've tried to write out sins of slavery. The original
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: Civil War. The Civil War broke out because you want
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: to keep slap. Yes, that's what Civil rb broke out
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: because you're thirteen Southern states wanted to keep slavers. You
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: wasn't with this message that came from North to free slaves.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: We're not letting nine of them go. The second thing
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: was we tried to correct it with passage of civil
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: rights laws. Y'all fothers on every tooth and nail, You
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: sick guard dogs on us fire hoses. You kill Martin
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: Luther King, You you, you, you in jailed, you imprisoned
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: anybody that march walked. You made black people have to
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: wear signs and say I am a man to get
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: you to understand the basic rights of us. You didn't
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: give us civil rights. We set in, we march, we
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: protested for civil rights, and we died. And then you
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: have the nerve to vote on the Voters Rights Act
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: every other damn year to see if you still gonna
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: allow us to vote. And then that last ignancey we
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: elected an African. We ain't, no, damn mush your ass
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: did not vote for him, pulled for him, and you
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: did nothing but try to destroy him. So what would
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: you expect this? He'll billy to say, All right, coming
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: up our last break of the day, and some closing
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: remarks from Steve Harvey coming up at forty nine after
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this. You're listening all right here
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: we are last break of the day, and Steve, it's
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: time for yeah Juneteenth, Yeah, yeah, and uh Steve, time
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: for you to take us out with some closing remarks.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: You know, um, the Mitch McConnell remark about how he
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: don't see how African Americans should receive any reparations, and
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: the reasons he gave were because none of us that
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: are living today was responsible for that back then. That's
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: an interesting statement to make. You know. They have very
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: selective memory when it comes to doing what's right, and
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: they will they will remember what they want to remember
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: to stay right. First of all, he said, we've done
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: everything to erase or write our original sin of slavery.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: He said, we So what he used was, first of all,
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: the Civil War. I'm not a historian, but I was
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: always taught that the reason we had the Civil War
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: was because the group of Southern states decided that they
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: want to keep slavery. And they didn't care the fact
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: that Abraham Lincoln was up there talking about friend them.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: They weren't having it. They weren't going with this conversation.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: So we're gonna have civil war. They don't care about
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: nobody at the time about No, we're gonna let them go.
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: The next thing he said that they did was to
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: help with slavery was civil rights. Civil rights were not
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: given to us. Civil rights was marched for, boycotted for,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: walked for, set in for, rand for died for. What
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: I remember of civil rights trying to get them was
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: watching Bull Connor Sectim German. Shepherds on all them innocent
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: people and holds them down with fire hoses. That's what
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: I remember a lot about civil rights, how we had
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: to fight to be considered equal by so many who
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: didn't want us to be. Then his last example of
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: making a right for slavery was to read, we elected
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: an African American president. Well, we didn't. A lot of
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: people did, but it wasn't you, Mitch McConnell. So stop
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: saying we like you've been on board with civil rights
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: in the Civil War, on the right side, right for
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: us whole time, because you really, I really don't think
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: you have. I don't think you understand. And then he
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: said that he doesn't see how those of us who
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: were not here back then, those couple hundred years ago
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: shit even can be held responsible for that, And he
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: doesn't see how we would even know where to start
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: giving out the money to who. Well, let me help
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: you understand something. You say that you don't want to
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: be responsible for something that happened. I think he said
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: a hundred and fifty years ago, and he said he
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: didn't want to be responsible for that because we weren't
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: there then. Well, you weren't there when they wrote this
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: constitution that you love to throw up in everybody's face.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: You weren't there then, old and I have some vivid
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: remembers the memories of that too. Remember when women weren't
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: invoved allowed to vote? You know then was your faefathers
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: had to put that into constitution. Do you remember when
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: your forefathers, Mitch McConnell put into constitution that African Americans
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: were three fifths of a human being. You remember when
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: that was put in there. I had to change that,
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: didn't you? Oh? I forgot that that whole time you
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: was fighting to make amends for slavery. Yet and still
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: everything I knew in their power that they was doing
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: was trying to reinvent slavery to make it come in
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: another form. Or you successfully did that. You made ghettos,
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: and you made ghettos become farm systems for prisons, and
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: you found a way to incarcerate us, which was to
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: enslave us. And then you created unjust laws that incarcerated
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: people of color and women of color at a higher
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: rate than people of non color. You selected certain poor
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: crimes like rock crack cocaine, and you made it more
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: time than you could if you bought the more expensive drug,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: which was white powder. So you got less time for
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: having white powder than you did for having the poor drug.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: But you needed to pour drug into the communities because
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: you needed to farm system to flourish the prison systems.
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: Oh excuse me. This is the same country that's trying
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: to make right for slavery. Now, there are a lot
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: of great non African American people who have done some
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: amazing things against the fight for slavery. Because we didn't
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: end slavery all by ourselves. We didn't. Slavery didn't end
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: simply because black people got tired of being slaves. We
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: was tired today we got off the boat. I can
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: assure you that was the case. So what has happened
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: over a course of time is there have been some
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: lot of great non blacks who have aided in the
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: assistant Quakers and freedom houses along the way in the
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: underground railroad, and safe houses and places they can stop
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: and rest and get water and be hidden from I
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: got that, But we ain't talking about them people. We're
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: talking about the elected officials that keep passing the votings
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: rights law that y'all keep have to vote and find
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: out if we should be allowed to vote again or not.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: That's that's that's the America I know. So I won't
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: be sitting around me personally waiting on your reparations because
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: I don't think you're gonna allow that to happen. Because
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: quietly speaking, I think Mitch McConnell said what a lot
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: of people really feel, and that's why. Ain't nobody got
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: mad at him yet? Accept us. That's it. But today
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: or closing the law drop, y'all have a great weekend,
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: then let's go do that for all. Steve Every contests
