- 1:55Speaker 9: Come come on you think that.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Uh huh, I sure will come on and everybody you
- 2:05Speaker 2: are listening to the voice, come on, dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 2: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well, okay,
- 2:15Speaker 2: here we go. You know what's important, What's what can
- 2:21Speaker 2: be a huge part of your success is if you
- 2:25Speaker 2: if you find a balance, if you find a balance
- 2:30Speaker 2: in your life. That's that's been very important for me.
- 2:35Speaker 2: And I've really never phrased it this way until now,
- 2:38Speaker 2: but I was kind of thinking about it after my
- 2:41Speaker 2: wife and I mean we set up one night recently. Man.
- 2:44Speaker 2: You know, I often come on here and this is
- 2:46Speaker 2: kind of an inspirational moment of the show, and I
- 2:49Speaker 2: try to remind people about that most important relationship between
- 2:54Speaker 2: you and God. And that's that's the apex of it.
- 2:57Speaker 2: That's that's the that's the top of the crime. You've
- 3:01Speaker 2: got to form the relationship with God. If you don't,
- 3:03Speaker 2: everything else struggles. It's hard to be a good husband
- 3:06Speaker 2: without God. It's hard to be a good family man
- 3:09Speaker 2: without God. It's hard to be successful without God. Man,
- 3:12Speaker 2: it's hard to be hard to get through this thing
- 3:14Speaker 2: called life without God. So that's clear. But at the
- 3:19Speaker 2: same time, you can't talk about God. Twenty four seven.
- 3:23Speaker 2: You got to go to work. Come on, man, let's
- 3:25Speaker 2: just be real. I ain't doing I ain't your pastor,
- 3:27Speaker 2: I ain't at your church. But let's just be real
- 3:30Speaker 2: about it. You know now, people tell you got to
- 3:33Speaker 2: keep your mind stayed on Him and all like that.
- 3:35Speaker 2: That's a true statement. Got to keep your mind stayed
- 3:38Speaker 2: in that area. I don't I'm not here to tell
- 3:40Speaker 2: you how to live. But you got to keep your
- 3:41Speaker 2: mind stayed in that area of God, of doing the
- 3:43Speaker 2: right thing, caring about people. That's what I took it as.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Now I could be wrong. I apologize if I'm not
- 3:49Speaker 2: saying it the way you've been taught. I can only
- 3:51Speaker 2: do me now. But after that, you got to go
- 3:54Speaker 2: to work. You got to have some fun. You got
- 3:57Speaker 2: to take care of your business. And that's the balance
- 4:01Speaker 2: you have to find. So it once you focus on
- 4:06Speaker 2: showing up your relationship with God, you gotta balance this now. Now,
- 4:13Speaker 2: you got to allocate some time I don't care who
- 4:16Speaker 2: you are, for your family. If you're gonna have a family,
- 4:19Speaker 2: you got to allocate some time for them. See, we
- 4:22Speaker 2: can't just marry these women or make these kids and
- 4:26Speaker 2: then neglect them. And fellas, especially if I'm talking to
- 4:30Speaker 2: men out here and ladies you can listen to, but listen,
- 4:33Speaker 2: if you find yourself struggling in your life, man, and
- 4:36Speaker 2: you can't seem to get it together, Let's just go
- 4:38Speaker 2: over a couple of things. The first two things, if
- 4:42Speaker 2: you find yourself struggling, you can't seem to pull it
- 4:44Speaker 2: together and reach your goals and get the where you
- 4:46Speaker 2: want to go. Let's just do a check how is
- 4:51Speaker 2: your relationship with God? And then next how much time
- 4:56Speaker 2: are you taking to allocate for your family? Now, your
- 5:00Speaker 2: family don't always live in your house, but if you
- 5:04Speaker 2: made them, they yours and the responsibility to them is
- 5:08Speaker 2: never lessen because you don't stay that no more. Because
- 5:12Speaker 2: you and the girl broke up, you and a woman
- 5:14Speaker 2: don't speak that, hey man, that don't ever release you
- 5:17Speaker 2: from the obligation feel me what I'm telling you this
- 5:20Speaker 2: now because I'm not telling you something I'm wondering about.
- 5:24Speaker 2: I've had to live through them years. So two things
- 5:28Speaker 2: you can start looking at. If you not where you
- 5:30Speaker 2: want to be, and you ain't, you ain't really solent.
- 5:32Speaker 2: You can't figure out why you keep spending your wheels.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Have you just done a random inventory?
- 5:36Speaker 10: Man?
- 5:37Speaker 2: Have you just checked on your relationship with God? Have
- 5:39Speaker 2: you checked on the time you spending dedicated towards your family,
- 5:43Speaker 2: your children that you created? If them two things is
- 5:46Speaker 2: out of sink, man, that I can tell you right now,
- 5:50Speaker 2: you can go on and get to explaining yourself away
- 5:52Speaker 2: just like that. Hey man, how come you ain't where
- 5:55Speaker 2: you want to be?
- 5:55Speaker 10: Man?
- 5:56Speaker 2: Comes man, I really ain't. But if you really ain't,
- 5:59Speaker 2: then you really ain't. The third thing is you got
- 6:02Speaker 2: to allocate the necessary time for your business. You got
- 6:07Speaker 2: to handle your business. All of this, man, is the
- 6:12Speaker 2: way it works, and the order the order is God first,
- 6:20Speaker 2: family second. Then you got to handle all your business.
- 6:25Speaker 2: But as me, and this is what we do. If
- 6:28Speaker 2: I don't handle my business, I can't take care of
- 6:31Speaker 2: my family. True statement. But if your business is in
- 6:35Speaker 2: front of your family, you out of order. Now that's
- 6:38Speaker 2: all we talking about now in it. See, that's all
- 6:41Speaker 2: we really say in here now, fellas you know, you
- 6:43Speaker 2: know I mean, I mean, come on, man, you know,
- 6:46Speaker 2: let's have a real conversation about being better. You know,
- 6:49Speaker 2: if you have created these children, you got to handle
- 6:51Speaker 2: your business. You may not like the girl no more.
- 6:55Speaker 2: You and the woman might have broken up, y'all might
- 6:57Speaker 2: go your own way, But what that got to do
- 6:58Speaker 2: with the child though, Man, you got to handle your business.
- 7:01Speaker 2: They got to know who daddy is. That's your obligation. Man,
- 7:04Speaker 2: that God ain't letting you off the hook for that.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Try it. Go ahead and try it and think you're
- 7:09Speaker 2: gonna get off the hook with that, cause you're not. Man,
- 7:12Speaker 2: You just not. I'm sorry, man, dog Steve, Why you
- 7:18Speaker 2: coming like that? Because I did it like that. I
- 7:21Speaker 2: did it. Man. I was over here trying to reshape
- 7:24Speaker 2: my life, get myself up on my feet when I
- 7:26Speaker 2: was a homeless man and trying to come back. Man,
- 7:28Speaker 2: I thought I had to take care of me first
- 7:30Speaker 2: and then so I can neglect it care about them kids, man,
- 7:34Speaker 2: I ain't hid at work. Man, God keep his knee
- 7:36Speaker 2: on my neck for a long time for that one
- 7:38Speaker 2: right there, till I finally learned the lesson hold up, man,
- 7:42Speaker 2: put these phone calls in, Go spend some time, do something.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And then it started turning around for me. You know,
- 7:49Speaker 2: I can't be there all the time because I am
- 7:51Speaker 2: out here on the grind, in the hustle. But at
- 7:53Speaker 2: the same time, Man, some more phone calls, some more letters,
- 7:57Speaker 2: some more hawhi, he hes something, then take care of
- 8:01Speaker 2: your business.
- 8:02Speaker 11: Man.
- 8:03Speaker 2: You got to work hard to be successful. You know.
- 8:06Speaker 2: I sometimes I don't put that in there. I just
- 8:08Speaker 2: live it, and I expect my sons to emulate that.
- 8:11Speaker 2: But I gotta talk to them all the time. How
- 8:13Speaker 2: hard you got to work to be something. It's an
- 8:16Speaker 2: all out of salt on it.
- 8:18Speaker 9: Man.
- 8:18Speaker 2: If you gotta target in mind, you gotta go. You
- 8:20Speaker 2: gotta wake up every day trying to get there, and
- 8:23Speaker 2: you can't get tired of it because it never ends.
- 8:29Speaker 2: You gonna always be this way. That's how life is
- 8:32Speaker 2: designed and set up. You got to be a hard worker, man.
- 8:36Speaker 2: If you always looking for some time to chill, and man,
- 8:39Speaker 2: I wanna go do what I wanna do. You ain't
- 8:41Speaker 2: gonna make it. In order to be successful, you have
- 8:45Speaker 2: to do a series of things that you're uncomfortable doing,
- 8:48Speaker 2: and work is the thing that most of us are
- 8:51Speaker 2: uncomfortable doing. It's so much easier to chill matter. I
- 8:54Speaker 2: wish I could kick back with a cigar man all
- 8:57Speaker 2: the time, but I can't, Man, I can't because I
- 9:04Speaker 2: got to work. Then the last piece of the balance, pie,
- 9:10Speaker 2: balance piece is you gotta take some time out to
- 9:13Speaker 2: enjoy yourself. But if you ain't where you wanna be,
- 9:17Speaker 2: you ain't got a lot of time to enjoy yourself.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Quit thinking, man, that this balance is even. It's a
- 9:25Speaker 2: whole lot of God, a whole lot of family, a
- 9:28Speaker 2: whole lot of business, and a little bit of chilling.
- 9:31Speaker 2: The chilling can't be equal to the family, the business,
- 9:35Speaker 2: all your God. If the chilling is equal to any
- 9:38Speaker 2: of them, you ain't gonna make it. Quit chilling, man,
- 9:42Speaker 2: and go to work like a man. Do what you're
- 9:44Speaker 2: supposed to do. Work on your family, work on your relationship,
- 9:48Speaker 2: work on your God, work on your business. And then
- 9:50Speaker 2: when you chill, you might not chill as law, but
- 9:53Speaker 2: you show gonna chill bigger, You gonna ball bigger Baby.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 10:21Speaker 2: in the blessing business, reminding you that if you form

- 11:56Speaker 2: that's crazy. Man, I met this dude fifty one years ago.
- 12:01Speaker 2: If you can say you met a guy fifty one
- 12:04Speaker 2: years ago in college, don't worry about them gifts and parties.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Be grateful, yeah, man, Just be grateful because you know
- 12:16Speaker 2: I was thinking about it too, man, Like when I
- 12:18Speaker 2: look on us, when I look at us as a
- 12:20Speaker 2: morning show, man, that's some experience on this show. There's
- 12:27Speaker 2: a lot of experience on this show. I mean, we've
- 12:31Speaker 2: known each other long enough, man, We've we've been around
- 12:35Speaker 2: each other with children's successes, graduations, acceptance in the college, marriages,

- 14:34Speaker 2: Hello, I'm trying to reach his sister. How you doing.
- 14:38Speaker 14: I'm giving you a call on behalf of Baptist Church.
- 14:42Speaker 14: You are a member there, I am, I right, yes,
- 14:45Speaker 14: I am. Okay, listen, I'm calling you. They some of
- 14:50Speaker 14: the members have gotten together and had a meeting and
- 14:53Speaker 14: wanted me to give you a call. It seems that
- 14:56Speaker 14: a lot of them are complaining about sundaysert services that
- 15:00Speaker 14: go on and wanted for me to give you a
- 15:03Speaker 14: call on their behalf so that we can see if
- 15:06Speaker 14: we can address the problem and talk to you diligently
- 15:09Speaker 14: as possible and try to get the problem rectified.
- 15:12Speaker 12: What's going on.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Well, it seems like that a lot of members are complaining.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I'm sorry, And what is your name again?
- 15:22Speaker 2: My name is ma'am. I'm not actually a member of
- 15:25Speaker 2: the church.
- 15:25Speaker 14: I've just been the one that's been asked to give
- 15:27Speaker 14: you a call and try to talk on the members' behalf.
- 15:30Speaker 14: So maybe we can get this problem rectified that you
- 15:33Speaker 14: that they have as far as you are concerned, now, okay.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 15:37Speaker 15: Well, I'm just trying to see what.
- 15:38Speaker 12: This is in regards to go ahead.
- 15:40Speaker 14: Well, it seems like the members of the church are
- 15:43Speaker 14: complaining about that you're doing too much shouting at church
- 15:47Speaker 14: on Sunday, and it seems to be going on every Sunday.
- 15:50Speaker 14: You're running up and down the aisle and you shouting
- 15:52Speaker 14: all over the place, and it's me.
- 15:56Speaker 10: I've been singled out about my shouting.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Is that you're saying, wellever, didn's distracting ma'am.
- 16:01Speaker 14: You're distracting everyone from getting the word and listening to
- 16:04Speaker 14: the word and being involved in the service. And that's
- 16:07Speaker 14: the purpose of the call is to see if we
- 16:09Speaker 14: can get you to tone it down some.
- 16:11Speaker 10: Okay, So the whole church is complaining about me shouting
- 16:14Speaker 10: the way people run up and down the house every
- 16:17Speaker 10: Sunday and almost turning cart wheels and flips, and they
- 16:20Speaker 10: singling me I complained about me.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Well, ma'am, I.
- 16:23Speaker 14: Don't know how it is that you can see everybody
- 16:25Speaker 14: else doing cort wheels when you're the ones that they
- 16:28Speaker 14: say is the one that's doing them.
- 16:30Speaker 10: How am I being singled out?
- 16:31Speaker 2: Ma'am.
- 16:32Speaker 14: All I'm saying is is that they saying that you're
- 16:34Speaker 14: doing too much shouting and too much running at this church.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Now I'm just the message.
- 16:39Speaker 10: Well, they can't tell me how to shout. They can't
- 16:41Speaker 10: tell me what's going on in my life. What's gonna
- 16:43Speaker 10: keep me from praising God? I mean, they could just
- 16:47Speaker 10: they can go somewhere else with that, But they are
- 16:49Speaker 10: not gonna tell me that I can't praise my God.
- 16:51Speaker 15: They don't know how good.
- 16:52Speaker 10: God has been to me.
- 16:53Speaker 14: And you know what, I understand that I agree with
- 16:56Speaker 14: you wholeheartedly. But it's becoming a distraction. I mean what
- 16:59Speaker 14: they they was at the point last night talking about
- 17:02Speaker 14: should we put some seat belts on the pews so
- 17:04Speaker 14: so you can stay down?
- 17:06Speaker 10: They will put some seat But I only gonna tell
- 17:08Speaker 10: people they can't shout in church and praise God. What
- 17:10Speaker 10: can we come to church?
- 17:11Speaker 3: Fark?
- 17:12Speaker 9: Will you do?
- 17:12Speaker 10: Come to We need to be trying to prase God
- 17:14Speaker 10: and get their own shout on and stop looking at
- 17:16Speaker 10: me and worry about what I'm doing.
- 17:18Speaker 14: We gonna need you to quit running up and down
- 17:20Speaker 14: these aisles and doing what you now.
- 17:22Speaker 10: I'm sorry, sir, you know I'm trying to stay calm.
- 17:25Speaker 10: I'm trying my best. Who Jesus, she sir, that's not happening.
- 17:30Speaker 10: You can't tell me I gotta stop shouting.
- 17:32Speaker 9: Okay, man, But let me ask you. Are you running now?
- 17:34Speaker 9: Aren't you just standing still?
- 17:36Speaker 7: Talking?
- 17:36Speaker 10: But I don't have to run right now?
- 17:38Speaker 9: Okay, what I'm trying to get.
- 17:40Speaker 10: You to, You know, like if I want to run
- 17:41Speaker 10: up and down this street right now, I can run
- 17:43Speaker 10: up and down the street and praise God. But they're
- 17:45Speaker 10: not gonna tell me to stop shouting at church?
- 17:46Speaker 9: Can we get you to be a little bit more
- 17:48Speaker 9: reserved as what we see? Man?
- 17:50Speaker 14: Let me let me go ahead and go further on
- 17:52Speaker 14: what they do all the spirit move? Okay, well, let
- 17:56Speaker 14: me move and tell you what they've told me.
- 17:59Speaker 15: Now.
- 17:59Speaker 14: If we can't get to the point where you can,
- 18:02Speaker 14: you know, tone it down, then we may have to
- 18:04Speaker 14: ask you to leave.
- 18:06Speaker 10: You want to ask me ooje ooh Jesus O Jesus,
- 18:11Speaker 10: you ask me why would they want me to leave
- 18:14Speaker 10: a church. I've been at that church for fifteen years.

- 23:47Speaker 2: See that that don't make no sense. What you can't
- 23:50Speaker 2: do is write us and then try to lie to

- 26:01Speaker 11: Should I be honest about my finances up front? That's
- 26:05Speaker 11: really what he wants to know.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Bruh, Listen to me. Man, If you tell the woman

- 38:07Speaker 11: who made a resolution have already abandoned it. And a
- 38:10Speaker 11: new survey looks at the most common reasons people fall
- 38:14Speaker 11: and fail at their resolutions. Giving into temptation that's one reason. Yeah,
- 38:22Speaker 11: you agree with that one, Steve.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Yeah, well I have a reason why am I didn't work?
- 38:27Speaker 2: But go ahead and finish it?

- 38:45Speaker 10: Oh yeah, I.
- 38:46Speaker 7: Can't do that.
- 38:47Speaker 1: It's my resolution to stop.
- 38:49Speaker 11: It's too boring to them, or just they just finally
- 38:54Speaker 11: realize that they don't even want to do it.
- 38:57Speaker 2: It just yeah, it's the same resolution every year, and
- 39:03Speaker 2: I don't never make it every I'm not gonna cuss.
- 39:08Speaker 1: I'm not gonna yeah, you never do that.
- 39:11Speaker 2: And I discovered why the reason is, and.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Why don't you? Why can't you keep it?
- 39:17Speaker 2: Because I don't mean it. I don't mean it.
- 39:22Speaker 9: Committed to it.
- 39:24Speaker 3: Change.
- 39:26Speaker 2: I'm not committed to not cussing. I'm more committed to
- 39:29Speaker 2: it than I am to undo it.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Have you cut back?
- 39:35Speaker 2: Cut up? Step it up?
- 39:39Speaker 12: You haven't cut back at all, you know, because if
- 39:41Speaker 12: you could try to cut back on something, well.
- 39:45Speaker 2: I've cut back in regard because I have less people
- 39:48Speaker 2: to cuss out. Oh oh so the quantity of yeah,
- 39:53Speaker 2: that's all is. I've just over the years gotten rid
- 39:56Speaker 2: of them slowly, so that's less like like right now,
- 39:59Speaker 2: it's only uh two, it's only two people that I
- 40:03Speaker 2: need to drag cross the concrete for I quit cussing.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Cool, I'm gonna I'm just gonna ask.
- 40:13Speaker 12: Now.

- 43:52Speaker 11: All right, see, we have one more call for you.
- 43:55Speaker 11: This caller said, some of our show is about hypocrisy.
- 43:58Speaker 18: Take a listen, hey, listening to the show in the
- 44:01Speaker 18: mornings and a lot of times you talk about God
- 44:03Speaker 18: in the mornings and then an hour later it's complete
- 44:06Speaker 18: hypocrisy and you go against anything and everything you had
- 44:09Speaker 18: to say about God. So I'm not sure like what
- 44:12Speaker 18: you think you're accomplishing like that, But y'all need to
- 44:15Speaker 18: wake up over there, because it.
- 44:16Speaker 7: Don't make no sense.
- 44:17Speaker 18: Either don't talk about God or line your show up
- 44:20Speaker 18: with what you have to say about God.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Don't be hypocritians. First of all, young man, this is
- 44:26Speaker 2: not a religious program. What I say about God. I
- 44:29Speaker 2: stand on everything I ever say about the Lord. You understand.
- 44:34Speaker 2: And then after that, but we tell you what this
- 44:36Speaker 2: show is. This show is inspirational, this show is motivational,
- 44:41Speaker 2: This show is informative. But this show is entertainment. So see,
- 44:48Speaker 2: some of y'all people think that if you're a Christian
- 44:51Speaker 2: or you believe in God, you shouldn't be laughing and
- 44:54Speaker 2: nothing did take your sad some of where you're going.
- 44:57Speaker 2: How hypocritical? Did that sound? Right?
- 45:00Speaker 10: You?
- 45:00Speaker 14: See? Man?
- 45:01Speaker 2: I don't really, I don't really. I don't let people
- 45:04Speaker 2: like that inside like hypocritic everything you said about God. Well,
- 45:07Speaker 2: then you need to cut into the PT. Seven hundred
- 45:09Speaker 2: club cor they talk about God, the whole show. That
- 45:13Speaker 2: ain't what we do though. That's not being hypocritical. That's
- 45:17Speaker 2: it's called life. You're young and if you keep living it,
- 45:20Speaker 2: you gonna find out.
- 45:22Speaker 14: Now.
- 45:22Speaker 2: If you don't want to talk about nothing but God,
- 45:25Speaker 2: there are shows that you can turn in too. But
- 45:29Speaker 2: I would like to inform you of something.
- 45:31Speaker 11: Now.
- 45:32Speaker 2: If you cut on let's say Joel Oldstein's Sunday morning
- 45:38Speaker 2: service at Lakewoods, you would you will find out that
- 45:41Speaker 2: he goes bike riding, jogging, he go to games. If
- 45:47Speaker 2: you could watch Bishop Jakes, you could do that. If
- 45:49Speaker 2: you watch Jamal Brown, don't care who you watch. They
- 45:51Speaker 2: you still gotta go live your life. So no, man, dude,
- 45:54Speaker 2: ain't nobody being hypocritical. And if you don't like what
- 45:57Speaker 2: we're doing, man, then tune out, doog, just go somewhere.
- 46:00Speaker 2: It's what are you talking about all day?
- 46:02Speaker 11: Is?
- 46:02Speaker 2: Stay on this subject? Yeah? Stay on the subject. Hey,
- 46:07Speaker 2: where's you talking about?
- 46:08Speaker 7: Weather?

- 47:30Speaker 14: them have got a little older. You know, we've been
- 47:32Speaker 14: picking them up for a long time. But I need
- 47:34Speaker 14: somebody to, like, maybe you can cut the limbs back
- 47:37Speaker 14: that's hanging over so that they won't, you know, the
- 47:40Speaker 14: pecans won't be falling over into my mom and them yard,
- 47:43Speaker 14: cause you know, for them to be bending over like

- 48:13Speaker 15: I mean, I'm not saying you can't have nobody to
- 48:16Speaker 15: maintain your yard. I mean you your mother. You can
- 48:20Speaker 15: maintain your mother's yard, Sir.
- 48:22Speaker 14: I go by my mother's house, you know, every other
- 48:25Speaker 14: day and check on them. But I don't have time
- 48:27Speaker 14: to go in the back and pick up pecans and stuff.
- 48:30Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 48:30Speaker 14: I mean, if you just it don't seem no more
- 48:32Speaker 14: than like maybe four or five limbs that's hanging over there.

- 56:49Speaker 2: Here it is Strawberry Letter.
- 56:52Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew. Subject I'm going with the flow. Dear
- 56:56Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley.
- 56:57Speaker 11: I'm fifty four years old and I met a great
- 56:59Speaker 11: man in church and he moved me in after a
- 57:02Speaker 11: year of dating. I felt like it was too soon,
- 57:05Speaker 11: but my lease was ending, and my friend said that
- 57:08Speaker 11: at my age, I should go with the floe well,
- 57:11Speaker 11: going with the flow has got me in a miserable
- 57:13Speaker 11: living situation. Everything is fine between us, but he has
- 57:17Speaker 11: a trifling daughter that runs him. She has access to
- 57:21Speaker 11: all of his accounts and she paid his mortgage and
- 57:23Speaker 11: bills until I moved in. I took over the bills,
- 57:26Speaker 11: and she had a nerve to ask me if I
- 57:29Speaker 11: would be splitting things fifty to fifty with her dad.
- 57:33Speaker 11: I told him to get her straight, but he didn't,
- 57:36Speaker 11: so she still has a key to the house and
- 57:38Speaker 11: keys to both his cars. She comes over unannounced to
- 57:42Speaker 11: wash clothes or to see what's in our fridge. She
- 57:45Speaker 11: doesn't have a car, so she usually rides with different
- 57:48Speaker 11: men or some raggedy females she hangs out with. I
- 57:52Speaker 11: have a problem with the riff rap being in our house,
- 57:54Speaker 11: but her dad is always excited to see her and
- 57:58Speaker 11: have a drink with her.
- 57:59Speaker 1: The girl uses my.
- 58:00Speaker 11: Makeup and my feminine products without asking and doesn't replace anything.
- 58:06Speaker 11: She walks in and out of our bedroom like she's
- 58:09Speaker 11: the woman of the house. I told my man that
- 58:12Speaker 11: we need to set some boundaries.
- 58:13Speaker 1: He says, she used.
- 58:15Speaker 11: She's used to it being just the two of them,
- 58:17Speaker 11: so I need to give her more time. My friend
- 58:20Speaker 11: said the same thing and added that if I keep complaining,
- 58:24Speaker 11: he's going to get rid of me, not the daughter.
- 58:27Speaker 11: If they tell me to go with the flow one
- 58:29Speaker 11: more time, I'm going to lose it. I thought about
- 58:32Speaker 11: bonding with the daughter, but she is not the type
- 58:35Speaker 11: of person i'd associate myself with. How do I make
- 58:40Speaker 11: some changes around here so that I can be comfortable
- 58:43Speaker 11: at home? You're going to have to move. Seriously, You're
- 58:47Speaker 11: not going to be comfortable there. You're not going to
- 58:49Speaker 11: be able to make any changes there because it's not
- 58:51Speaker 11: your house. His disrespectful daughter doesn't want you there interfering
- 58:56Speaker 11: with her and her dad's relationship. Can't you see this
- 59:00Speaker 11: messing You're messing up her good thing? Speaking of relationships,
- 59:05Speaker 11: since I mentioned that, where is this one between you
- 59:08Speaker 11: and the dad going anyway? Are you guys planning on
- 59:12Speaker 11: being married or you planning on just living together? You
- 59:16Speaker 11: know that should be made clear here because things would
- 59:21Speaker 11: change if you became the wife.
- 59:24Speaker 1: I just wanted to know that.
- 59:25Speaker 11: I think you don't tell us how old the daughter is,
- 59:28Speaker 11: but I think she's definitely old enough to know she's
- 59:30Speaker 11: out of line and what she's doing is for you.
- 59:33Speaker 11: She's basically pulling rank and throwing it in her face,
- 59:36Speaker 11: in your face that she still comes first with her dad,
- 59:40Speaker 11: So you will never be the woman of this house.
- 59:43Speaker 11: The bond is just too strong between them, and the
- 59:46Speaker 11: dad is scared to say something to her about it
- 59:49Speaker 11: for fear she'll disappear. You said in your letter, he's
- 59:53Speaker 11: always excited to see her and have a drink with her.
- 59:57Speaker 11: Your friends are right about him putting you out before
- 1:00:00Speaker 11: he had If he has to choose before her and
- 1:00:04Speaker 11: bonding with her is not gonna work because clearly you
- 1:00:07Speaker 11: guys don't like each other, you know. I just find
- 1:00:10Speaker 11: it hard to believe that you didn't know any of
- 1:00:12Speaker 11: this before you moved in. You didn't know how the
- 1:00:15Speaker 11: doughter and the father got along and all of that.
- 1:00:19Speaker 11: You all didn't talk about any of that, or were
- 1:00:21Speaker 11: you just thinking about him providing you with a roof
- 1:00:23Speaker 11: over your head since your lease was up. Your guy
- 1:00:26Speaker 11: isn't stepping up. He's not putting his daughter in her place. So,
- 1:00:30Speaker 11: like I said, you need to move out and get
- 1:00:33Speaker 11: your own place. Anyway, Steve, Yeah, that's great advice.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Sherlly. Here's a problem I'm going with the flow. This
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: is the whole problem. And the reason this woman has
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: chosen to go with the flow is cause she's fifty four,
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: fifty four. If you were twenty four, thirty four, forty four,
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: would you put up with this? Probably not, But you
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: fifty four, you're gonna go with You met a great
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: man in church? Who how many times we done heard
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: that I met a great man at church. He moved in,
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: and he moved me in. After a year of dating,
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: he moved you in. I felt like it was too soon,
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: but my lease was in it, and my friend said,
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: here we go that at my age, I should go
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: with the flow. This is your friend, h I wish
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: I could see her friends. I really wish I could.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: I wish I could see him. It would explain so
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: much well. Going with the flow has gotten me in
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: a miserable living situation. Everything is fine between us, but
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: he's got a trifling daughter that runs him. She has
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: access to all his accounts, She pays more his mortgage
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: and bills until I moved in. I took over the bills,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: and she had the nerve to ask me if I
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: would be split fifty to fifty with her dad. She
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: in that good right. I told him to get her straight,
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: but he didn't. She got a key to the house.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: She got keys to both of his cars. She comes
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: over without asking. She washed clothes or to see what's
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: in the fridge. She doesn't have a car. Who is
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: this good woman here? She ain't got no washing machine,
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: She ain't got nothing to eat, she ain't got no car.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: What so she rides with different men or some raggedy
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: female she hangs out with. I got a problem with
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: the riff raf being in our house. Well, see, Shirley
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: kind of said this to.
- 1:02:47Speaker 11: You, but it.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: Ain't your house. She moved you in. The daughter was
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: already in position. She not about to change her position
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: because you'd have got moved in.
- 1:03:02Speaker 11: Hang on, Steve, we'll recap. We'll have part two of
- 1:03:06Speaker 11: your response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:03:09Speaker 11: Today's Strawberry letter subject. I'm going with the flow. We'll
- 1:03:13Speaker 11: get back into it right after this. You're listening Steve
- 1:03:17Speaker 11: Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:03:23Speaker 12: Hey, it's Carla Ferroll. Kick that old mop and bucket aside.
- 1:03:26Speaker 12: Are you ready for a mop and bucket clean in
- 1:03:29Speaker 12: half the time? Make the swap so swiffer power Mop.
- 1:03:33Speaker 12: The on in one Cleaning Hero has a built in
- 1:03:35Speaker 12: solution that breaks down dirt and grime like magic. With
- 1:03:39Speaker 12: hundreds of scrubbing strips on the pad, it absorbs sticky
- 1:03:43Speaker 12: nesses with ease. Plus it'll leave your home smelling great
- 1:03:47Speaker 12: for hours after cleaning. Get yours today and mop smarter
- 1:03:50Speaker 12: with the Swiffer Power Mop.
- 1:03:53Speaker 11: All right, come on, Steve, Let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:55Speaker 11: The subject is I'm going with the flow.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: I'm going with the flow has gotten this woman in trouble,
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: and it seems to me like that it's age related
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: because she starts off the letter. I'm fifty four years old.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: I met a great guy church. Now this right here,
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: you're letting me know that age has something to do
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: with this letter. I felt like he moved me in
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: after a year dating. I felt like it was too early,
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: but my lease was in it, and my friend said
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: that at my age, I should go with the flow.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: Cause you know, I'm assuming if you're fifty four, you
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: probably wouldn't have went along with this at twenty four,
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: at thirty four or forty four, But somehow fifty four,
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: a crossing that half century mark has affected your thinking,
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: so now you just signed up, But you didn't know
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: nothing about his little trifling daughter that pays all his bills,
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: all of his mortgage and all this. Here you came in.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: She's so comfortable, she asked you, was used to fifty
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: fifty with her daddy. You told her to get her
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: under control. He ain't said nothing to her. Well, it
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: ought to become obviously if you splitting stuff fifty to fifty,
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: because you would be making a contribution to the mortgage
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: and all that. But obviously you're not. Now she comes
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: over to the house to wash clothes, check uts in
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: the refrigerator, and she got keys to both cars because
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: she don't have a car. I don't know who this
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: woman is right here that ain't got no washing machine,
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: ain't got nothing, need no food, and don't have no car.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: And she got these men bringing all over, these raggedy females,
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: and you don't want them in your house. Well, like
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: Shirley pointed out, it's not your house, it's his house.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: You moved in after Daton for a year cause you
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: let your friends tell you to go with the flow. Yeah,
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: at one point in time, we suposted no more. When
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: we get older, I'll admit I've done some stupid stuff
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: after fifty.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Lord, heaven, no kidding, poor.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: Lord, I've done some stuff, but I ain't never had
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: to write no letter about it. And so now, uh huh,
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: we could help you. Yeah, I don't need help. No, no, no, no,
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: y'all can't no. Now, the trouble I'll be getting in,
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: can't nobody help me? But the Lord that's right there.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: And my friend said the same thing. He said if
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: you They said, if you keep complaining, he gonna get
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: rid of you and not the daughter. Okay, but what
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: are you settling for. You're not complaining. You're in the house.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: You can't set no rules where you live. You can't
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: make no boundaries. You don't like these trifling people hanging
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: out at your house, but you got to let me
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: in because it's his house. Girl, listen to me. You
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: need to go get you another lease and move yourself
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: back into your apartment, or at least threatening to because
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: you need to issue an ultimatom. Look, if I'm gonna
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: be here and I'm gonna be your woman, and you're
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: gonna invite me to this house, you need to share
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: this house with me because I'm not finna be a tenant.
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: I'm not in here as a border following your rules,
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: you know, like you got to ad B and B
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: you know where I can't. You got rules and established
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: when I come in here. And if I can't establish
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: the rules, I don't need to live here. Why would
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: you live somewhere? And you have no say so in
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: the conditions that you have to live in. You can't
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: pick who comes in and out the house. You can't
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: stop people from opening your refrigerator. You can't stop And
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: then she got keys to both cars and she take
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: both of them. You can't stop this woman from driving
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: your car. Suppose you got plans and you look outside
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: and going in the car, you was gonna take No man,
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: why would you live like this? It doesn't make any
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: sense all because you going with the flow and you're
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: fifty four lady, what you ought to do is go
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: to your man and say this right here, I can't
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: do this no more. I love you, but I can't
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: do this. And I know you love me, but you
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: don't love me enough to make sure that I'm safe
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: and comfortable. Women want to be in a relationship where
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: they First of all, a woman wants to feel safe
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: If you don't feel safe, man, let's just okay, let's
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: not even get to the provided for a part yet.
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: You don't feel safe, you mean to tell me. You
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: come in the house and you don't know who gonna
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: be sitting there. You go to get in the car
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: and you don't know whether it's in the driveway or not.
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: You come in the house and somebody standing in your
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: refrigerator using your feminine products. Don't ask you nothing. You
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: don't know if when you come in the house that
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: everything you put in place is still gonna be in place.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: You going in there to watch TV in the living
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: room and some people already in there watching it. You
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: gonna live like that? Man? It ain't no way. Home
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: is supposed to be the one place, the one place
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: where you can go and feel safe, have control, have
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: your WUSA moment. You got to go home, be able
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: to take a breath. You can't go home and choke
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: it at the same time. Lady, here's what you do.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: This is how I feel when I come here. I
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: can't do this no more. I know you was trying
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: to help me out. My lease was up, but let
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: me tell you something. I'm gonna go get me another lease,
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: and I'm gonna move out because I can't do this
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: no more. I love you, but I know you love
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: your daughter and I'm not asking you not to love
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: her no more. But I got stick. Go either off.

- 1:10:56Speaker 13: We had the NFL Wildcard weekend and a what a
- 1:10:59Speaker 13: weekend it was uh these games. Every game was really good,
- 1:11:03Speaker 13: with one particular I really enjoyed.
- 1:11:06Speaker 14: Uh.
- 1:11:06Speaker 13: But let's get to it.
- 1:11:08Speaker 19: The Rams beat the Panthers man thirty four to thirty one.
- 1:11:13Speaker 19: A man, I sure wanted the Panthers to win, Man,
- 1:11:15Speaker 19: they were so close. Matthew Stafford with that pass in
- 1:11:19Speaker 19: the corner, with the time wanting running down, take it over, man.
- 1:11:22Speaker 19: So hey, congratulations to the Ram Here we go. The Bears,
- 1:11:26Speaker 19: can we get a Bears a shot out? Came back
- 1:11:30Speaker 19: and beat the Package. It was twenty one to three
- 1:11:33Speaker 19: at halftime. They came out and won thirty one to
- 1:11:36Speaker 19: twenty seven.
- 1:11:37Speaker 13: Come on, Bears.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: Wo Yeah they did that.
- 1:11:43Speaker 19: The Bills edged one out over the Jaguars twenty seven
- 1:11:47Speaker 19: to twenty four.
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: And you know you picked them up, but you know
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: John I did, but I was secretly pulling for the Jaguars.
- 1:11:54Speaker 9: He was secretly pulling for Duke Boom.
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I was. I wanted them to come through, man.
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: Man.
- 1:12:01Speaker 13: The forty nine Ers beat the Eagles twenty three to nineteen.
- 1:12:04Speaker 10: I know that hurt.
- 1:12:06Speaker 9: That didn't look like Philip the last minute and a half.
- 1:12:17Speaker 9: Let's look like that through the game.
- 1:12:18Speaker 19: But graduated to the forty nine Ers the Patriots. I
- 1:12:22Speaker 19: know you have said about this. The Patriots beat the
- 1:12:24Speaker 19: charge of sixteen to three. I don't even know what
- 1:12:26Speaker 19: was going on that game. Justin Herbert got sacked six times.
- 1:12:29Speaker 19: He could even throw this ball, get on now, he could,
- 1:12:32Speaker 19: He kept getting off the back of his jersey.
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: Dirty.
- 1:12:40Speaker 19: I don't even to say about that one. But here
- 1:12:42Speaker 19: go the one we most proud of. Come on here,
- 1:12:44Speaker 19: now them boys off Kirby, Houston, Texas, come on here,
- 1:12:48Speaker 19: beat the Steelers behind thirty to six.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: Thirty to six, Yes, sir, so are they going to
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: say this to you?
- 1:12:59Speaker 8: See?
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: You played great defense? Amazing Well, y'all got a cold defense.
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: I picked y'all to you know you did. Yeah, offense
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: is terrible right now, man, man, we got a problem.
- 1:13:12Speaker 13: Three turnovers, man, two forms an inn you.
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: Know, man, y'all y'all'understand y'all. Thirty six, he got a problem.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: We no clean, they got a problem. You don't have
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: no problem. Center in here. Thirty to six. C J
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: strive man, I don't know what he doing.
- 1:13:44Speaker 13: We're still ed it shut.
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: Okay, it's not over yet.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: Okay, that's goody good? Yeah, go so Houston.
- 1:13:56Speaker 11: Coming up at the top of the hour, young man
- 1:13:58Speaker 11: and social media needs some advice, you, says, my manager
- 1:14:00Speaker 11: is making me look bad. We'll talk about it right
- 1:14:04Speaker 11: after this up. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:12Speaker 11: All right, Steve, this is from MJ on Steve harbfm
- 1:14:16Speaker 11: MJ says, I started a new job about six months
- 1:14:19Speaker 11: ago that I worked.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Really hard to land, and I genuinely like the role.
- 1:14:24Speaker 11: But my manager's communication is inconsistent and it keeps making
- 1:14:28Speaker 11: me look bad. She'll give instructions but then change them
- 1:14:32Speaker 11: later without telling me, or she'll be too busy to
- 1:14:34Speaker 11: answer my follow up questions and then flag my work
- 1:14:37Speaker 11: as incorrect. Twice she's warned me that these mistakes can't
- 1:14:42Speaker 11: keep happening, but it's one hundred percent her fault. I've
- 1:14:46Speaker 11: been taking careful notes and asking for clarity in writing,
- 1:14:50Speaker 11: just waiting for the next time I get in trouble
- 1:14:52Speaker 11: for her lack of clear communication. I've set up a
- 1:14:55Speaker 11: meeting to talk about how to prevent errors, but I'm
- 1:14:58Speaker 11: nervous that explaining the issue from my point of view
- 1:15:01Speaker 11: is going to come off as a as defensive or disrespectful.
- 1:15:06Speaker 11: So here's her question, how can I protect my credibility
- 1:15:09Speaker 11: and my job without it looking like I'm.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: Making excuses or trying to throw my manager under the bus.
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: Well, I think you're being very smart with creating a
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: pay per trail. That's imperative in corporate America. That I've learned.
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: You got to have a pay per trail. Secondly, you
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: got to have a conversation with this woman because if
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: you don't, y'all fit to be in that situation where
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: you can't, she'd have told you you can't keep making mistakes.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: She told you that, so you need to tell her
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: that there's a communication gap between the two of them. Now,
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: however that's gonna come across. Let it come across that way,
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: because if you don't, what's gonna come across is you're
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: incompetent and you keep making mistakes. Then you've got to
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: pull out this paper trail and now we you know,
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: I don't really wreck.
- 1:16:00Speaker 10: Me and that.
- 1:16:02Speaker 12: That's what she's amazing. She's worried about the pay per trail.
- 1:16:06Speaker 12: You just pot ale, you just pull out.
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: Well, hey, ain't no pottle, you making mistakes pay per trail.
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: But now I'm gonna say something to you because I
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: have an HR department in my company, you know, and
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: plus I hide the HR person. So HR my company
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: don't stand for human resources. My HR stand for heat. Right,
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: come up, come up in here if you want to.
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: But you had a regular job, so your job stand
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: for human resources. I would at least open up a
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: file with human resources to say, can I just get
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: this on file because this is what's happening, and just
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: ask her to make a file for you in case
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: you need period. You gotta protect yourself. This is the
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: world we live in any day. Yeah, so you gotta
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: protect yourself. What a great answer, Steve.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: Next year we have.
- 1:17:03Speaker 11: Time for another one. This guy says, I have a
- 1:17:06Speaker 11: girlfriend that I one hundred percent. I'm one hundred percent
- 1:17:10Speaker 11: devoted to, and she knows that being nice to customers
- 1:17:13Speaker 11: and cracking a few jokes isn't flirting.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: It's working customers for tips.
- 1:17:18Speaker 11: Apparently, there's one girl who's a regular that told her
- 1:17:21Speaker 11: boyfriend how funny I am, and over the weekend he
- 1:17:24Speaker 11: literally came into the bar and threatened me. I alerted
- 1:17:29Speaker 11: my manager of the issue, and he basically said, handle it.
- 1:17:33Speaker 11: I don't even know what that means.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: She's a good.
- 1:17:35Speaker 11: Tipper and a nice lady. But it's not right to
- 1:17:38Speaker 11: just blow her off moving forward. But I also don't
- 1:17:42Speaker 11: want to just tell her about her man acting crazy?
- 1:17:45Speaker 11: So what's the best way to handle this without jeopardizing
- 1:17:48Speaker 11: my job or my income?
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: He must be your job and your income? That atual problem,
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: you say, good chop, Her part is you.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Don't understand missing something?
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: Man, dog, where are you from?
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: Boy?
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: Your problem is this dude then came up to the
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: job and told you keep playing if you want to.
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: You didn't went in there and told your boss he'd
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: told you to handle it. You say, how do I
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: do this? Stop losing my tips? Or dog? It's the
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: dude that can walk up on you and threaten you,
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: which is your concern?
- 1:18:37Speaker 7: Media?
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: All right, lose some tips, lose some teeth, right, all right,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: thank you, Steve.
- 1:18:49Speaker 11: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:18:51Speaker 11: up in twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:19:02Speaker 11: So rapper Lil Wayne posted an angry reaction to the
- 1:19:05Speaker 11: Chicago Bears beating its team, the Gray Green Bay Packers.
- 1:19:09Speaker 11: Lil Wayne took to x of course we know it
- 1:19:11Speaker 11: is formerly Twitter to roast Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams,
- 1:19:16Speaker 11: writing quote, we just lost a playoff game to an
- 1:19:18Speaker 11: n word.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: With purple nails.
- 1:19:20Speaker 11: Caleb Williams reposted Wayne's post and had a simple response
- 1:19:24Speaker 11: to Wayne. He posted snowflake and a man emoji and
- 1:19:29Speaker 11: simply wrote the hashtag the Bears. I'm wondering why does
- 1:19:37Speaker 11: Caleb Williams paint his nails. He says it's to represent
- 1:19:41Speaker 11: his mom, who worked as a nail technician for his
- 1:19:44Speaker 11: entire life, and he also enjoys being a fashion trendsetter.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: So there you go.
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: H didn't know that. I'm not in the way of
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: a man and his mom.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I prefer myself.
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: So you do wear it?
- 1:20:01Speaker 15: Oh?
- 1:20:01Speaker 9: So you do wear.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: I got yeah, like Jil, like.

- 1:20:35Speaker 7: Man.

- 1:21:36Speaker 2: not playing Houston Coke when they win down't appreciate that.
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: That's what's not gonna play. Well, you say that's Steve,
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: He's two right, he'll complain about a thirty to six win.

- 1:22:22Speaker 14: If they if they get rid of Tomlin, would you
- 1:22:24Speaker 14: want him to come to Cleveland?
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: Hell?
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: Yeah, all right? Uh would you rather be running back
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: or quarterback?
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: Oh? Definitely running back?
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Running back for you junior, Yeah, running back?
- 1:22:48Speaker 7: One of them.
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: You finish, get beat up either one of them.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: Pick one. Okay, running back or quarterback?
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: Quarterback. There's no way out can beat the quarterback. Everybody
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: wants and I don't want it enough to I'm gonna
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: let you have it.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: The quarterback.
- 1:23:06Speaker 14: I'm throwing it to the center, the guard, whoever close
- 1:23:10Speaker 14: to me, water, the coach.
- 1:23:15Speaker 11: All right, would you rather your favorite team lose in
- 1:23:18Speaker 11: every Super Bowl game or never make it to the
- 1:23:22Speaker 11: Super Bowl?
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: Which losing every Super Bowl I'm cool with.
- 1:23:26Speaker 13: We ain't made to Super Bowl, So I'm just gonna

- 1:24:38Speaker 11: Steve Harvey right after.
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: This eating the barbecue.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:51Speaker 12: Hey, it's Carla Ferroll. Kick that old mopping bucket aside?
- 1:24:54Speaker 12: Are you ready for a mop and bucket clean? And
- 1:24:57Speaker 12: half the time make the swap to s whipper power mop?
- 1:25:01Speaker 12: The only one cleaning Hero has a built in solution
- 1:25:04Speaker 12: that breaks down dirt and grind like magic. With hundreds
- 1:25:08Speaker 12: of scrubbing strips on the pad, it absorbs sticky messes
- 1:25:12Speaker 12: with ease. Plus it'll leave your home smelling great for
- 1:25:15Speaker 12: hours after cleaning. Get yours today and mop smarter with
- 1:25:19Speaker 12: the Swipper Power Mop.
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: All right, guys, it is our last break of the day.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: It's been a good day.
- 1:25:26Speaker 11: And before we get to your question for Steve Junior,
- 1:25:30Speaker 11: we got to say Happy Founder's Day for Delta Sigma
- 1:25:35Speaker 11: Theta Sorority Incorporated one and thirteen years.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: It's Founder's Day.
- 1:25:41Speaker 12: Yeah, Modulations, Happy Founders Day to the Deltas.
- 1:25:48Speaker 7: I saw your.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Monica nineteen thirteen. Wow, yes, found this day, beautiful woman.
- 1:25:59Speaker 9: Yeah you.
- 1:26:02Speaker 7: All right?
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: Yeah you got a question? Yeah, Uncle.
- 1:26:07Speaker 20: You talk about this purpose versus passion and what the
- 1:26:11Speaker 20: difference between the two is because people purpose the passion
- 1:26:17Speaker 20: your passion, I mean, it's your passion, not your purpose.
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: Though you know you might be doing one thing. What's
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: your passion and what's your purpose? The perfect marriage is
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: to have them both. It is to marry your passion
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: to your purpose. Oh it's it's not a bad thing
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: to have both, but you know, you can be passionate
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: about something that you're not even good at. That's the
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: sad thing. You know how many times you've heard somebody say,
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: if you want something bad enough, you can have it.
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: That's not true. That's not true. You know what I mean.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: Think about all some of the stuff you've really really
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: wanted and never gotten, but you wanted it though. That's
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: just not a true statement. If you want something bad enough,
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: you will have it. That's not true because if you
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: don't apply the principles to the things you want, it's
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: not gonna happen. Wanting something is not enough. Believing something
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: is not enough. Wanting and believing something I am telling
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: you is not enough. Faith without works is dead. Wanting
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: something without applying the principles, it's useless. I wanna win
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: the lotto. I want to win the power ball. Oh
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: I want it so badly, I play it every week.
- 1:28:00Speaker 9: You know what I mean.
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: People have died and never won that power ball. Because
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: you know you're wanting and you're passionate about something. First
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: of all, you don't have a control over nothing. You
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: don't have control over their mount, the ball, the number
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: that comes up, that what the ritually is to payout.
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: It's just nothing. Passion doesn't mean you're good at it.
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: At one point in time, I was passionate about golf.
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: I'm not passionate about it anymore. I'll play it when
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: I play it. But and because I discovered something as
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: passionate as I was, I just wasn't good at it.
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: Now I still enjoy going out there playing it, but
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: my expectations has been lowered to the point where now
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: I have a good time. But I was passionate about it,
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: but I wasn't good at it. Now what I am
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: good at, what I am really really good at. I
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: have managed to become passassionate about it. I am really
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: really good at mentoring young men. I am really really
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: good at that. As a matter of fact, I am
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: passionate about mentoring young men. I am passionate about having
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: them at my ranch. I'm passionate about talking to him
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: on the phone one on one. I'm passionate about going
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: on zooms talking to him. I'm passionate about that. And
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: it's become my purpose because when I leave this world,
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: I want to leave behind thousands of young people who
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: can say, man, what Steve Harvey said really helped me,
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: not that I was a great game show host, not
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: that I was a pretty good comedian. All let us
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: speak for itself or not. As a matter of fact, Man,
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: I've stopped doing the one thing I love. Do you know, man,
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: that I I was really really passionate about stand up?
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: Do you know, man, that my purpose was to be
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: one of the top stand ups in the country. Do
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: you know that I have stopped so long that the
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: majority of people who are fans of mine now don't
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: even know that that's what I was.
- 1:30:17Speaker 9: Man, It's so crazy.
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: Man. When I realized how long I been doing this,
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: a lady was doing my makeup and told me she
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: didn't realize that I used to have hair. You thought
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: I was born ball And I say, you don't think
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: at no point I had. She was doing my makeup
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: and said, mister Harvey, I never knew you had hair.
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: You're putting makeup on my head. Them little granules you
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: see every now and then, you ain't know what that is?
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: You see them roots up there? That was hair. But
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: when she was born, when she was born, Steve Harvey
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: show was off. When when she got old enough to
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: watch stuff, which was twenty years ago, when she saw
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: what she was twenty six. I was already bald. It's crazy, man.
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: So the perfect marriage is to become purp is to
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: have your become passionate about your purpose, but be very
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: very careful. Because you're passionate about something, don't mean you
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: good at it.
- 1:31:28Speaker 14: Now.
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: I'm passionate about fishing. I fished pretty good. But if
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: I'm on the boat with Kevin van Dam, I'm gonna
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: look like a fool. Or I'm on the beer with
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: with with with Bill Dance, I'm not gonna look that
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: good of a fisherman because I'm out here with the pros.
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: Just have to be careful, man. I know that might
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: not have answered your question, but that's what I felt
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: like saying. Those are my closing remarks today. If you
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: didn't get nothing out of a tuney in tomorrow might
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: ask something for you. To talk to God today everybody,
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: he would absolutely love to hear from.
