- 1:46Speaker 6: turn the way up. Come come on you.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Uh huh I sure, well, good morning everybody you are
- 2:06Speaker 2: listening to the voice, Come on dig me now. One
- 2:09Speaker 2: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show man or
- 2:14Speaker 2: man o man. I thank God for it. I thank
- 2:18Speaker 2: God for all he's done for me, for all the
- 2:21Speaker 2: little things that I oftentimes failed to thank him for
- 2:26Speaker 2: that I take for granted for you know, I was
- 2:31Speaker 2: talking the other day to a buddy of mine. We
- 2:35Speaker 2: had gotten to this conversation about God and and in
- 2:41Speaker 2: the conversation we had narrowed it down and we were
- 2:43Speaker 2: talking about changing the way we are as people. You
- 2:48Speaker 2: know that everybody has to change. You know, nothing stays
- 2:52Speaker 2: the same. Everybody changes, and a lot of these changes
- 2:57Speaker 2: can be for the good, and a lot of them
- 2:59Speaker 2: are just just come with time.
- 3:01Speaker 5: You know.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Sometimes it's aging that changes us. But no matter how
- 3:05Speaker 2: old you get, you still have the ability to improve
- 3:11Speaker 2: as a person. You may not have the foot speed
- 3:15Speaker 2: you used to have. You may not be as agile
- 3:19Speaker 2: as you used to be. Your energy level may not
- 3:24Speaker 2: be what it used to be. Your desire to do
- 3:28Speaker 2: some of the things that you used to do may
- 3:30Speaker 2: be gone. The thing that doesn't have to change and
- 3:38Speaker 2: will not change is you. You have the ability to
- 3:44Speaker 2: continue to grow as a person, even when far the
- 3:50Speaker 2: time and nature has taken its course. We were talking
- 3:56Speaker 2: about everybody can change and everybody has the right to
- 4:07Speaker 2: reinvent themselves as they get older, and I equated it
- 4:12Speaker 2: to jumping out of an airplane. You know, there are
- 4:16Speaker 2: some people man who get to a certain point in
- 4:19Speaker 2: their life and they and they jump from the airplane
- 4:22Speaker 2: is now almost a stunt of some kind. It's almost
- 4:28Speaker 2: like they lifed and got out of control. You ever
- 4:31Speaker 2: seen somebody jump out an airplane and the parachute don't
- 4:34Speaker 2: open and they life start and it seems like they
- 4:37Speaker 2: start spinning and tumbling and they can't get it together.
- 4:40Speaker 2: And I've seen some mid air rescues before. But then
- 4:43Speaker 2: there are times when you know when it hasn't worked.
- 4:46Speaker 2: You know, you jump out that airplane and at first
- 4:50Speaker 2: it's fun. I've never scot dived before, but I would
- 4:54Speaker 2: imagine when you first jump out of an airplane that
- 4:58Speaker 2: they people describe it as a a sense of being free,
- 5:02Speaker 2: and it's exhilarating when you first jump out the plane.
- 5:07Speaker 2: But if you pull that cord and nothing happens. It
- 5:10Speaker 2: never happened to me, but I can only imagine the
- 5:14Speaker 2: panic that's got to set in because no matter how
- 5:19Speaker 2: fun it was a moment ago, the flying over to
- 5:22Speaker 2: one another, the holding hands in the air, the breeze,
- 5:27Speaker 2: the descent, the feeling of all of a sudden, if
- 5:32Speaker 2: you reach for that cord and it's not there, you're
- 5:35Speaker 2: suddenly spinning out of control. And that's what happens in
- 5:39Speaker 2: a lot of people's lives. When you first start your life,
- 5:43Speaker 2: you jump out the plane, You free, You young, you
- 5:45Speaker 2: ain't got nothing to worry about it. But then you
- 5:47Speaker 2: get to a certain point in your life when you go, okay,
- 5:50Speaker 2: I'm gonna.
- 5:51Speaker 6: Pull the cord now.
- 5:53Speaker 2: And pulling the cord is an important thing because here's
- 5:57Speaker 2: the analogy my friend gave me. He said, man, use
- 6:03Speaker 2: your mind like a parachute. It works better when it's open. Well,
- 6:09Speaker 2: see what happens with a lot of people is they
- 6:12Speaker 2: they in life. They jump out the plane and they
- 6:18Speaker 2: and they having this free fall and it's fun for now.
- 6:22Speaker 2: But they get to a certain point in their life
- 6:24Speaker 2: where they got themself in a situation, or they've had
- 6:27Speaker 2: a little bit too much fun a little bit too long,
- 6:30Speaker 2: or you know, they wasn't open to nothing and they
- 6:33Speaker 2: just did what they wanted to do, or they started
- 6:35Speaker 2: getting involved with drugs or drinking or started running with
- 6:38Speaker 2: the wrong people. See, you jump out the plane. At first,
- 6:41Speaker 2: you're free falling this fun, but then after a minute, man,
- 6:44Speaker 2: something happens and they realize whoa and they reach for
- 6:47Speaker 2: the cord, and the chord don't work. Well. Now you're
- 6:50Speaker 2: in the panic stricken situation. And my suggesting that what
- 6:53Speaker 2: I've learned from the analogy that my friends shared with
- 6:56Speaker 2: me is that we all the sooner we can open
- 6:59Speaker 2: our mind to God, the sooner we could develop that
- 7:03Speaker 2: relationship with him. It's like pulling the chord and opening
- 7:09Speaker 2: a parachute. If you open up your mind to God,
- 7:13Speaker 2: God is like a parachute. You know, God can slow
- 7:18Speaker 2: your descent. God can turn this out of control freefall
- 7:24Speaker 2: into a nice ride for you. See, that's what happened
- 7:28Speaker 2: to me. I was spinning out of control. I had
- 7:33Speaker 2: gotten myself into a point. Man, Why I wasn't doing
- 7:37Speaker 2: real good? Oh, y'all would look at me and think, man, Stevie, Man,
- 7:42Speaker 2: Now I wasn't doing real good. I had spun out
- 7:47Speaker 2: of control. I was in a free fall, and I
- 7:51Speaker 2: reached for the chord, but I was so far away
- 7:54Speaker 2: the chord didn't open. Then I went to him and
- 7:57Speaker 2: I pulled the chord. When I went to God God,
- 8:01Speaker 2: I pulled the cord and open, and he slowed my descent.
- 8:05Speaker 2: And this is what I just believe. I don't believe
- 8:07Speaker 2: now that I age as fast as I was aging,
- 8:11Speaker 2: because I got that parachute open. Now, you know, I
- 8:14Speaker 2: take better care of myself eating, I work out more.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Now you know, I'm not out of control. I have
- 8:20Speaker 2: a direction now that win. Then got up under that
- 8:24Speaker 2: parachute a little bit, you know, And now I'm going.
- 8:28Speaker 2: You know, I'm still getting older, you know so, but
- 8:31Speaker 2: the descent is so slow. Now I'm able to enjoy
- 8:34Speaker 2: the ride. I'm guiding my parachute over. Sometimes we go
- 8:38Speaker 2: over to to a vacation spot over here, we float
- 8:42Speaker 2: back over to it. But you know, I'm still getting old.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I'm still going down, but the descent because I've opened
- 8:49Speaker 2: my mind to God. The parachute has slowed my descent.
- 8:54Speaker 2: And now I'm rocking back and forth. But I ain't
- 8:57Speaker 2: spending out of control no more. You know, I'm able
- 9:00Speaker 2: to enjoy the view now. You know, when you jump
- 9:04Speaker 2: out that plane and you pull that cord and it
- 9:06Speaker 2: don't work, you ain't looking at the view no more.
- 9:08Speaker 2: You're thinking of only one thing. How can I slow
- 9:11Speaker 2: this down? Well, now I'm able to enjoy the view.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I'm able to see all the beautiful things on the
- 9:17Speaker 2: horizon that God has for me. I'm able to see
- 9:20Speaker 2: all the beautiful things around me that He's provided for
- 9:24Speaker 2: me over these years because I've slowed my descent. I
- 9:28Speaker 2: use my mind like a parachute. It works better when
- 9:32Speaker 2: it's open. Open your mind to God, and so you
- 9:36Speaker 2: can see the view, so you can slow the descent,
- 9:40Speaker 2: so you can stop the out of control free fall
- 9:43Speaker 2: that you've been on. That you can get your life
- 9:45Speaker 2: together and see everything out on the horizon that God
- 9:48Speaker 2: has for you. You know, it turned out to be
- 9:50Speaker 2: a very true statement. Your mind if you use it
- 9:54Speaker 2: like a parachute. It works better when it's open. Y'all
- 9:57Speaker 2: you're listening, ladies and gentlemen. It's the same old, same old.
- 10:06Speaker 2: But I'm not used to it yet. I still haven't
- 10:08Speaker 2: gotten over the fact of how good God really is.
- 10:12Speaker 2: It just continues to amaze me. How he just does
- 10:15Speaker 2: it over and over and over again. I don't know
- 10:17Speaker 2: nobody that does it over and over and over again,
- 10:20Speaker 2: same way, same day, and responsible for so much. Man,
- 10:24Speaker 2: It's just incredible. That's all I can take. It's awesome.
- 10:28Speaker 2: It's there are no superlatives for it. God is God, period.
- 10:33Speaker 2: This is that Steve Harvey Morning Show. Sheirly Strawberry calling
- 10:36Speaker 2: for real Mississippi Monica Junior and the growing legend of
- 10:39Speaker 2: Nephew Tommy Jr. You know you seem like you're on
- 10:43Speaker 2: a run right now. I know today is coming where
- 10:46Speaker 2: the dark cloud will be coming. But right now, what's
- 10:49Speaker 2: going on? Oh No, I ain't the wrong. Let me
- 10:52Speaker 2: ask you. I know it ain't. I just said that. Yeah,
- 10:55Speaker 2: I'm just letting you know everything good. Let me ask
- 10:57Speaker 2: you one thing. He's starting. You know you do you
- 11:00Speaker 2: feel you a good Christian? Good question? I want to
- 11:06Speaker 2: hear from it, but as some days I am someday
- 11:12Speaker 2: all the time. Yeah, I'm doing the best I can.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Sometimes I don't. I guess sometimes I don't try as hard.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I guess sometimes I make other decisions.
- 11:21Speaker 7: Why okay, because I think you didn't make a good
- 11:25Speaker 7: decision yesterday as a Christian when you said you were
- 11:28Speaker 7: healthy than me and Tommy. That's not the Christian thing
- 11:31Speaker 7: to do. Did you ever consider that part? You said
- 11:34Speaker 7: you was just the healthiest out of all of us
- 11:37Speaker 7: on the show?
- 11:38Speaker 2: You think that was christian like considering our situation, did
- 11:43Speaker 2: you feel that? I don't. I don't know if it
- 11:45Speaker 2: was Christian like. I thought it was very factionate. I'm
- 11:51Speaker 2: talking about health and wellness.
- 11:53Speaker 7: I mean, yeah, you said, well, I'm the healthiest one
- 11:55Speaker 7: out of all y'all because me and Tommy.
- 11:58Speaker 2: So you ain't never been sick before. I've been sick
- 12:03Speaker 2: many times, many times, not metime. You though you aught
- 12:10Speaker 2: people sick, same counting his signals. But he's been sick
- 12:14Speaker 2: more time me.
- 12:15Speaker 8: He fought it.
- 12:15Speaker 2: I'm sixty seven, so I don't say you but is
- 12:19Speaker 2: that the Christian thing to do? Though? Mm hmm, Well,
- 12:23Speaker 2: I don't really, I don't really consider that very Christian.
- 12:27Speaker 2: But you answered this question so so you know that
- 12:32Speaker 2: you can do better by supporting me in time that
- 12:36Speaker 2: I could do better. And I have supported you and Tommy.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I called and checked on Tommy when he's in the hospital,
- 12:43Speaker 2: checked on his family, you know, ask him if they
- 12:46Speaker 2: needed anything. You know, I called you down at that hospital.
- 12:50Speaker 2: So that's doing that sound like he was dying. I
- 12:53Speaker 2: have stayed on the phone that sound make it be
- 12:59Speaker 2: the last person doing bitter is calling us, not coming
- 13:03Speaker 2: down there and seeing us, all of us. I'm not
- 13:07Speaker 2: a doctor's nothing. I can do what I get down there.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Everything I can do down there at the hospital. I
- 13:11Speaker 2: can do some phone you know what I'm saying. Come
- 13:13Speaker 2: down and get sit with people. You know you just
- 13:16Speaker 2: sitting the Flowers City, check on them, put your checking
- 13:21Speaker 2: them on the phone, FaceTime with them. Why would I
- 13:26Speaker 2: drive down there. It's not him, it's me. Why would
- 13:30Speaker 2: I drive down there to see how sick you are?
- 13:33Speaker 1: I'm coming up in thirty two minutes.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Why a Christian, I don't see where it's sitting with
- 13:38Speaker 2: the sickest. That's not one of the commandments.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Come sit and run that break back right after you're
- 13:44Speaker 1: listening Morning show.
- 13:49Speaker 9: It is time to have to run that brenk back
- 13:51Speaker 9: with the nephew, nephew, what you got for us today?
- 13:55Speaker 1: I'm to give me some of that booty.
- 13:59Speaker 8: Yes, it is time for booty taxes, all right, booty taxes.
- 14:04Speaker 8: And a lot of you guys out there are paying
- 14:06Speaker 8: for booty taxes. You just don't know that you're paying
- 14:10Speaker 8: for it. I've actually gotten fed up and I just
- 14:12Speaker 8: want to call the man that she's married to and
- 14:15Speaker 8: let's discuss these booty taxes. I mean, we got to
- 14:19Speaker 8: discuss this day. This This is gutten out of hand.

- 15:49Speaker 5: last year.

- 19:25Speaker 5: Thing I can tell you, only thing I can tell you, Kendrick,

- 19:56Speaker 10: at Eve crackling, and I done through.
- 19:59Speaker 5: Them the way my all? You all right, man, I
- 20:07Speaker 5: gotta make sure you are right before we get off
- 20:08Speaker 5: the phone. You're good, man.
- 20:11Speaker 10: I gotta go get in the drink.
- 20:13Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I'm right all right. Tell me this man.
- 20:21Speaker 5: It's twenty twenty. Baby. Tell me this. What's the baddest that,
- 20:24Speaker 5: I mean, the baddest radio show in the land, man.
- 20:27Speaker 11: The dam Steve Harvey Morris Show with that bright land
- 20:31Speaker 11: lip you telling.
- 20:37Speaker 8: And that's how you jump started, you know, that's that
- 20:40Speaker 8: that's the first dose then I come back out later
- 20:42Speaker 8: with that second note. You understand what I'm saying. Stupid
- 20:45Speaker 8: is in the building. I'm being extra stupid this up
- 20:48Speaker 8: this week because I'm on my way to the Majestic
- 20:51Speaker 8: Dallas Fort Worth, Texas. Comedy is on the way. Nephew
- 20:56Speaker 8: Tommy's House, part of Comedy Jam. It's going down Saturday night.
- 21:00Speaker 8: That's me and my girl Dominique, my boy Tony Robinson,
- 21:03Speaker 8: the bill, and Stupid is in the house. In his
- 21:05Speaker 8: father's day. Bring your daddy, bring your baby, Daddy. We
- 21:08Speaker 8: gonna have some fun. Ignorance is landing in Dallas this weekend.
- 21:12Speaker 5: All right.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Soon at Junior got.
- 21:14Speaker 8: To walking, y'ut, I'm gonna come up in there and
- 21:16Speaker 8: lay y'all. That's how we do that thing, like a
- 21:17Speaker 8: little tag tea. All right, Stupid is on the way
- 21:20Speaker 8: this weekend at the Majestica.
- 21:22Speaker 9: Certain thank you coming up next as the clo or
- 21:25Speaker 9: Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Right after this.
- 21:29Speaker 9: You're listening Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top
- 21:33Speaker 9: of the hour and Entertainment News. Now, Steve, you've been
- 21:36Speaker 9: mentoring you for over fifteen years for your Steven Marjorie
- 21:40Speaker 9: Harvey Foundation and over a decade, yes, over a decade
- 21:44Speaker 9: with the Disney Dreamers Academy. We're gonna have a full
- 21:47Speaker 9: circle moment coming up with one of your mentees who
- 21:49Speaker 9: is now a pastor. He's also a therapist and an author.
- 21:53Speaker 9: Full circle moment, that's all coming up. Yeah, that's major.
- 21:57Speaker 9: Right right now, it is time to ask the CLO
- 22:01Speaker 9: our Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building right
- 22:04Speaker 9: after this.
- 22:05Speaker 1: That is not correct.
- 22:07Speaker 9: Right now, it is time to ask the CLO our
- 22:09Speaker 9: Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Here we go Monroe and Lafayette.
- 22:14Speaker 9: Says, my girlfriend broke up with me, but she can't
- 22:17Speaker 9: stand to see me with anyone else. She randomly posts
- 22:20Speaker 9: old pictures of us to create problems in my new relationship.
- 22:24Speaker 9: Why did she break up with me? If this is
- 22:26Speaker 9: how she's going to act, how can I stop her?
- 22:30Speaker 2: Dog? You can't stop her. Why aren't you just going
- 22:33Speaker 2: by your business now? She can post all the pictures
- 22:36Speaker 2: she won't. You know what you probably need to do
- 22:39Speaker 2: is quit wearing that shirt doll that you had while
- 22:42Speaker 2: you were banging her, cause she posts that picture and
- 22:44Speaker 2: you've got that on that that date you was with
- 22:46Speaker 2: this new girl. That's your problem. See when you can
- 22:49Speaker 2: when somebody get rid of you, you got to get
- 22:50Speaker 2: rid of them. Sometimes you got to get rid of
- 22:54Speaker 2: the remnants of the relationship, the remnant all all in picture,
- 23:00Speaker 2: just sitting around, all that, all that, all that, all that,
- 23:04Speaker 2: that blanket y'all used to lay up, all that. You
- 23:07Speaker 2: got to get rid of the rim neicks. So that
- 23:10Speaker 2: shirt that you that's your favorite date shirt, you got
- 23:13Speaker 2: to quit wearing that because you're wearing that with your
- 23:15Speaker 2: new girl and make it look like you was out
- 23:17Speaker 2: with her last week. See what I'm saying, go to
- 23:20Speaker 2: she not gonna stop though, Yeah, that should go say
- 23:24Speaker 2: I've been through that shirt away. I don't even have
- 23:25Speaker 2: that shirt though. And then when a new girl look
- 23:28Speaker 2: in the closet, it ain't there. Turn out sound all right.
- 23:32Speaker 9: Moving on to Chan and Arlington, Chan says, I'm twenty
- 23:36Speaker 9: eight and I hate my job, but it pays very
- 23:40Speaker 9: good money. My boyfriend said, to quit my job and
- 23:43Speaker 9: he float me while I find another job. My mom said,
- 23:47Speaker 9: it's a risky deal because he gets so mad all
- 23:49Speaker 9: the time. Do I take the risk or keep suffering
- 23:52Speaker 9: at my job?
- 23:54Speaker 2: Well, no, you don't keep suffering. But you need to
- 23:57Speaker 2: find something else to do. If you want to have
- 24:00Speaker 2: a miserable life, wake up to go do something you
- 24:03Speaker 2: don't like doing for an extended period of time. If
- 24:07Speaker 2: you want to have a miserable life. I am a
- 24:10Speaker 2: proponent of chasing your dream. So you probably call the
- 24:14Speaker 2: wrong guy for this information because I say chase your dream.
- 24:18Speaker 2: At least you can wake up in the process of
- 24:21Speaker 2: pursuing something that you're happy about. Because I'm gonna tell
- 24:25Speaker 2: you right now, the job that you have is not
- 24:28Speaker 2: tied to your gift. Oh, it pay good, but it's
- 24:32Speaker 2: not what you gifted at. If you are gifted that
- 24:35Speaker 2: it would come natural to you. You would find enjoyment,
- 24:37Speaker 2: you would find purpose but finding your gift.
- 24:40Speaker 9: But you're not suggesting that she quit and let her
- 24:43Speaker 9: boyfriend take care of her until she finds another job.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Though, Well, I'm saying what I said. But now if
- 24:51Speaker 2: you if you're quitting with the expectation of somebody taking
- 24:55Speaker 2: care of you, I don't know if that's the way. Yeah,
- 24:59Speaker 2: you know, if I were you, I would have enough
- 25:02Speaker 2: saved up. Well when I bounce, I got I got
- 25:05Speaker 2: a little hole money until I find something else. Okay,
- 25:09Speaker 2: you know, yeah, but I would not be dependent on
- 25:13Speaker 2: somebody else because, like your mama said, he get mad.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Too quickly, right right, you know yeah, I don't.
- 25:19Speaker 2: I don't. I'm not giving nobody that control over me.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that's her, it's shelling. Okay, we cleared that up,
- 25:28Speaker 1: all right.
- 25:28Speaker 9: Moving on to Jasmine and Cleveland, Jasmine writes, my husband
- 25:32Speaker 9: and my husband and I have an off and on
- 25:36Speaker 9: kind of marriage, and I ended up pregnant by someone
- 25:40Speaker 9: else on one of our breaks. He accepted my daughter,
- 25:43Speaker 9: but he keeps complaining about me cheating on him. He
- 25:46Speaker 9: was doing it, so why couldn't I?
- 25:49Speaker 2: Well, you got a baby. Now, you remember what I
- 25:52Speaker 2: just said a minute ago. Sometimes when you end the relationship,
- 25:55Speaker 2: you got to get rid of the remnant. Yeah, your
- 25:58Speaker 2: remnant is a baby.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Can't get rid of it.
- 26:00Speaker 2: You can't get rid of the baby. So that's a
- 26:03Speaker 2: constant reminder. You not only went and got with somebody else,
- 26:07Speaker 2: You brought somebody else back with you. So and if
- 26:11Speaker 2: you if you think a man gonna get half that,
- 26:15Speaker 2: no you no, you not only left him when you
- 26:19Speaker 2: came back. You came back with somebody with you. You
- 26:23Speaker 2: came back with a baby and his baby. So you
- 26:27Speaker 2: came back with a baby and another daddy. Yeah, see,
- 26:32Speaker 2: you came back with two people. That's a lot. How
- 26:36Speaker 2: you don't think he not understanding that? Me personally, I
- 26:39Speaker 2: don't know how he took you back. I don't know
- 26:43Speaker 2: if you don't go off and get pregnant. I'm most
- 26:46Speaker 2: strongly suggest that whoever you got pregnant with, he's willing
- 26:51Speaker 2: to take care of you, and he I don't know
- 26:55Speaker 2: that I'm gonna do that. I don't know that. I
- 26:58Speaker 2: haven't been in that position, but I don't know. Now
- 27:01Speaker 2: marrying a woman who has children, that's totally different. Yeah, completely,
- 27:06Speaker 2: that's completely different. Right, But you have a first of all,
- 27:10Speaker 2: and here's another new norm for us. On the Steve
- 27:12Speaker 2: Harper water Show, I've been on again, off again marriage. Wait,
- 27:17Speaker 2: how does that work?
- 27:18Speaker 5: You know what? You know?
- 27:20Speaker 2: I've heard on again, off again relationship. You got to
- 27:22Speaker 2: on again, off again married.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Okay, we're married now now we're not we're married.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I'm gonna go see somebody else. I'm gonna
- 27:29Speaker 2: go see somebody else too when I'm pregnant with the baby.
- 27:31Speaker 2: What see we now that off section? Hastna get extended.
- 27:39Speaker 9: Yeah, Jasmine and Cleveland. All right, moving on, this is
- 27:47Speaker 9: our last one. See this is Aretha and Bartlett. Aretha writes,
- 27:50Speaker 9: my twenty three year old daughter lives with me and
- 27:53Speaker 9: I've allowed her boyfriend to stay overnight. But I was
- 27:56Speaker 9: shocked to see two guys leave from her room last night.
- 28:00Speaker 9: Her boyfriend was not one of them. She said they
- 28:03Speaker 9: were watching movies.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Is my child a tramp?
- 28:07Speaker 2: Yeah? Sound like? And I'm gonna tell you right now.
- 28:13Speaker 2: And she ain't the Disney movie tramp either. I'm gonna
- 28:17Speaker 2: tell you that right now. Yeah, yeah, yeah, she ain't
- 28:21Speaker 2: that Disney movie tramp. I'm gonna tell you that right now.
- 28:23Speaker 2: She ain't tramped the dog. I'm gonna tell you right
- 28:26Speaker 2: now that little girl up been there you know, first
- 28:29Speaker 2: of all to me and left her room. Is my
- 28:32Speaker 2: daughter tramp? Well? Let me ask you someone, when the
- 28:37Speaker 2: last time two men left your room a bedroom now,
- 28:40Speaker 2: not a house. They wasn't in the house. They was
- 28:43Speaker 2: in the bedroom. Yeah, I ain't been in no movie
- 28:46Speaker 2: that I've never seen the movie. Who I went in
- 28:48Speaker 2: a girl's bedroom to watch the movie?
- 28:51Speaker 1: Coming up? Thank you, Clo. Coming up at the top
- 28:53Speaker 1: of the hour.
- 28:54Speaker 9: We have a very special guest from the Steven Marjorie
- 28:57Speaker 9: Harvey Foundation right after this you're listening.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Morning show.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Not everybody has promised our special guest this morning is
- 29:10Speaker 2: this was personal to me. This young brother attended to
- 29:14Speaker 2: Steve and Margye Harvey Minnering Camp in twoenty eleven, that's
- 29:19Speaker 2: thirteen years ago. He also came to the Disney Dreamers
- 29:24Speaker 2: Academy the next year. He has claimed that, well, I'm
- 29:29Speaker 2: his minnor. Back then and to this present day, this
- 29:33Speaker 2: young brother right here, when I tell you, has excelled.
- 29:35Speaker 2: He is a moor House graduate. He is a Rutgers graduate. Currently,
- 29:40Speaker 2: he is a pastor, a licensed therapist, and an author.
- 29:45Speaker 2: He's here to tell us about his full circle moment
- 29:48Speaker 2: and how minnering really works. Please welcome to the show.
- 29:51Speaker 2: For the first time. His name is Nicholas Young. We
- 29:55Speaker 2: call him Nick. This is Nick Young.
- 29:58Speaker 8: Everybody, Good morning, Good.
- 30:05Speaker 10: Morning, everybody.
- 30:06Speaker 5: How are y'all doing? How you doing?
- 30:08Speaker 9: Man?
- 30:10Speaker 5: Bless blessed, blessed, truly.
- 30:12Speaker 11: Truly honored and grateful to be on the show. And
- 30:16Speaker 11: I always am happy to tell people that that I
- 30:21Speaker 11: would not be where I am in any way, I
- 30:24Speaker 11: would not be on my two seeds.
- 30:26Speaker 4: I would not be.
- 30:27Speaker 11: I don't even feel like i'd be a high school graduate,
- 30:29Speaker 11: let alone three degrees if it had not been for
- 30:32Speaker 11: what the Steve Harvey Mentoring the Stephen Market Harvey Foundation,
- 30:37Speaker 11: a mentoring program did for me in my life.
- 30:40Speaker 5: You all literally changed my life.
- 30:41Speaker 11: And now I'm able to pour into people every day.
- 30:44Speaker 11: And it's only because you are poured into me.
- 30:48Speaker 2: And that's that is really what it's all about. It's
- 30:52Speaker 2: not about me getting credit. It's about the results. It's
- 30:57Speaker 2: about the It's about the reward of it, not the awards.
- 31:02Speaker 2: And this brother is one of the rewards of minering man,
- 31:04Speaker 2: which makes it so. Also, I need to mention he
- 31:07Speaker 2: is a proud, proud member the greatest fraternity on planet.
- 31:15Speaker 2: That's them one and only. Oh makeer fight FIGHTQ. So
- 31:26Speaker 2: got that out the way, this step of pastoral adult.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Don't worry about that. I know I've seen you well
- 31:32Speaker 2: he I have seen him set out of hot before
- 31:34Speaker 2: they young. You know, the hot has changed since I
- 31:37Speaker 2: was stepping. These brothers got a whole nother hot. I
- 31:39Speaker 2: had to go to dance class and take it up. Now,
- 31:45Speaker 2: hey man, Nick, listen, you got a master's degree. In
- 31:48Speaker 2: divinity and you're licensed master social worker, what's the motivation
- 31:52Speaker 2: factor that kept you going?
- 31:57Speaker 11: So that the motivation factor is a thank you, fostor
- 32:03Speaker 11: what God has done for my life, what you all
- 32:06Speaker 11: have done for me. I know there's a scripture where
- 32:11Speaker 11: Jesus hills a group of levers and one of them
- 32:14Speaker 11: just made up in his mind that he had to
- 32:16Speaker 11: come back. I feel every time that I get the
- 32:20Speaker 11: opportunity to pour into a young child, or pour into
- 32:24Speaker 11: a couple or family, anybody who's in front of me,
- 32:27Speaker 11: I feel like it's just me saying thank you to
- 32:29Speaker 11: the God who blessed me and the guy who used
- 32:31Speaker 11: other people.
- 32:32Speaker 5: To pour into me.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Nick, how were you when you came to the camp.
- 32:35Speaker 11: Thirteen between thirteen fourteen years old?
- 32:38Speaker 2: Beat? I mean, this cat fought through some things, y'all.
- 32:42Speaker 2: When I tell you he fought through some things, it
- 32:45Speaker 2: is what perseverance is all about. This young brother I'm
- 32:49Speaker 2: talking about, they tried to take him out, when I
- 32:52Speaker 2: tell you they really that was a real plan to
- 32:56Speaker 2: take him out. But we gathered ourselves, we rally around him.
- 33:00Speaker 2: We gave him all a lot of support, love and
- 33:03Speaker 2: encouragement and especially prayer. And his brother got through. I mean,
- 33:06Speaker 2: he got through some tough times. Man. So congratulations.
- 33:09Speaker 9: Man.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Before we talk about this book you got, let's talk
- 33:13Speaker 2: about this full circle moment. You were at the camp
- 33:17Speaker 2: as a thirteen year old. I'm assuming you what to
- 33:20Speaker 2: How are you now? Nick, I'm twenty eight, twenty eight
- 33:24Speaker 2: years old this year from being a camp mentee to
- 33:29Speaker 2: now he's speaking at the mentoring camp this year. Tell
- 33:33Speaker 2: us how you felt when you got the call. What
- 33:35Speaker 2: is this full circle moment like for you?
- 33:38Speaker 11: It's a tear jerkery. When I went to the camp,
- 33:43Speaker 11: I did not want to. I was dealing with bullying
- 33:46Speaker 11: at the time, and I did not want to complete
- 33:49Speaker 11: high school.
- 33:50Speaker 5: My mom was having the hardest time in the.
- 33:52Speaker 11: World, and me and my sister talked before I got
- 33:54Speaker 11: on the plane, and she said, just go down there
- 33:58Speaker 11: and do well, and she's and God's going to do
- 34:01Speaker 11: something for you. And my entire life changed because of
- 34:07Speaker 11: the camp and all that you are poor and all
- 34:10Speaker 11: that you all did. And so now when I got
- 34:15Speaker 11: the call.
- 34:16Speaker 5: It's like, no way, there's no way I'm going to
- 34:19Speaker 5: get to go back.
- 34:21Speaker 11: And pour into and pouring through mom and sons who
- 34:28Speaker 11: are just like my mom and me were years ago.
- 34:32Speaker 5: It's humbling.
- 34:35Speaker 11: I can't the words fail to express the level of
- 34:40Speaker 11: emotion I feel and being invited back to the place
- 34:43Speaker 11: that changed my entire life.
- 34:46Speaker 2: You know, man, it's crazy because let me tell y'allself,
- 34:51Speaker 2: this is one example. The guy that runs my camp
- 34:55Speaker 2: now along with my son, his name is Toring. He
- 34:59Speaker 2: runs my him. He sets up the program for he
- 35:02Speaker 2: was a camp. He was a mentee at the camp
- 35:05Speaker 2: at thirteen years old. The other guy that comes down
- 35:07Speaker 2: and helps out every year and mentor the boys, his
- 35:10Speaker 2: name is Kendall. He was he's an engineer now. He
- 35:13Speaker 2: came to the He came as a gang bank. He's
- 35:16Speaker 2: an engineer now. Wow, yeah, man, we got the We
- 35:19Speaker 2: got a brother that's a young pilot that I sit
- 35:21Speaker 2: to pilot school because his dream was to become a pilot.
- 35:24Speaker 2: He's an airline pilot.
- 35:25Speaker 5: Now.
- 35:25Speaker 2: I got a kid down here that's on the Pro
- 35:27Speaker 2: Bass Fisherman Tour. He hurt my feelings because I wanted
- 35:31Speaker 2: to That's what I wanted to be. Hey, y'all, we're
- 35:36Speaker 2: gonna come right back with more with Nick Young. Right
- 35:39Speaker 2: after this. One of the mentees from the Steven Marge
- 35:41Speaker 2: Harvey Foundation, who has come full circle to be speaking
- 35:44Speaker 2: this year.
- 35:44Speaker 1: We'll be right backs Morning Show.
- 35:49Speaker 2: All right, everybody, we're back in our special guests this morning.
- 35:51Speaker 2: His brother, Nick Young, who is having a full circle moment.
- 35:55Speaker 2: He's coming back to the camp as a speaker. Now,
- 35:59Speaker 2: this is what's makes this incredible. Was added thirteen, fourteen
- 36:03Speaker 2: years old. He was a mentee at the camp. He
- 36:06Speaker 2: is now a licensed therapist. He is a minister, he
- 36:10Speaker 2: is an author. He's a young man. I watched him
- 36:14Speaker 2: go to college, went to more House, he went to Rutgers.
- 36:18Speaker 2: We were part of all of that. I watched him struggle.
- 36:21Speaker 2: I watched him try to take him down. I watched
- 36:24Speaker 2: through prayer and just men rallying around one another.
- 36:28Speaker 5: Man.
- 36:29Speaker 2: When you got a circle of men, strong men who's
- 36:32Speaker 2: been there, done that, then seen it before, can put
- 36:35Speaker 2: your mind at ease and help you through it. That's
- 36:38Speaker 2: what mentring does. His name is Nick Young. Everybody, Nick,
- 36:41Speaker 2: we're in here talking about the program. But I said,
- 36:44Speaker 2: you're an author. You got a book that teaches children
- 36:47Speaker 2: about the power of therapy. Tell us a little bit
- 36:50Speaker 2: about the book.
- 36:52Speaker 11: Yes, sir, mister Harvey, I had the God give vision
- 36:56Speaker 11: to plant a seed very early on.
- 37:00Speaker 5: And I learned this in many.
- 37:01Speaker 11: Ways from the programs with the Mentor Foundation, that when
- 37:07Speaker 11: you teach a child a way to go, it doesn't
- 37:10Speaker 11: it doesn't leave them. I know when I was at
- 37:13Speaker 11: the camp, you all told me, like, when you're on
- 37:16Speaker 11: the date, make sure you walk on the outside and
- 37:18Speaker 11: open doors. And I find myself still doing those things,
- 37:22Speaker 11: and so using that logic, I was thinking that when
- 37:25Speaker 11: you teach kids very early on the importance of taking
- 37:29Speaker 11: care of their mental health, how to regulate their emotions,
- 37:32Speaker 11: how to deal with relationships through mental health practitioners and therapists,
- 37:37Speaker 11: that when they get older, they will grow into adults
- 37:39Speaker 11: who know how to take care of their mental health,
- 37:42Speaker 11: how to remain sane, and how to help other people
- 37:45Speaker 11: take care of their mental health.
- 37:46Speaker 5: And so I wrote a book.
- 37:47Speaker 11: Called Carry the Caring Koala, a Child's Guide to Therapy.
- 37:51Speaker 11: It's available on Amazon, and the book has been really helpful,

- 38:29Speaker 2: you hope to go. If you go to school, fine,
- 38:32Speaker 2: But I want to know what your dreams are. And
- 38:35Speaker 2: we start with dream boards, and I teach young men
- 38:38Speaker 2: how to dream. I get their mind out of their
- 38:40Speaker 2: neighborhoods and the hoods and put them somewhere else. And
- 38:43Speaker 2: then I teach them what real men do. Real men
- 38:46Speaker 2: go to church, Real men go to work. Real men
- 38:48Speaker 2: honor God, Real men obey the law. Real men take
- 38:51Speaker 2: care of their children. Real men honor women. Real men
- 38:54Speaker 2: go to work every day. That's what manhood is. It
- 38:56Speaker 2: ain't in a video, it ain't in a in a chain,
- 38:59Speaker 2: it ain't on the set the rems. We teach those
- 39:01Speaker 2: two things, and those two things work. Our special guest

- 54:59Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 55:00Speaker 9: Few subjects. He described a different experience. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 55:05Speaker 9: I'm in a long distance relationship with a guy that
- 55:08Speaker 9: I dated in high school.
- 55:09Speaker 1: We both married other people, and we both.
- 55:12Speaker 9: Got divorced last fall, so we decided to give dating
- 55:15Speaker 9: a try again. But he lives almost three hours away,
- 55:19Speaker 9: so I don't get to see him as much as
- 55:21Speaker 9: I'd like to. He came to see me over the weekend,
- 55:23Speaker 9: and this was our first time having sex in nineteen years.
- 55:28Speaker 9: I was so ready for it. He got in Thursday
- 55:31Speaker 9: and I went to his hotel room after work. I
- 55:34Speaker 9: took a shower, and then he put it on me
- 55:36Speaker 9: like he promised. He kept on saying that I had
- 55:39Speaker 9: been waiting for that moment for years, and he said
- 55:43Speaker 9: I'm by far the best woman he ever had sex with.
- 55:47Speaker 9: We went in for round two before I went to
- 55:49Speaker 9: work the next day. I had been twisted and turned
- 55:52Speaker 9: in the best way, and I could barely make it
- 55:54Speaker 9: through the day without having flashbacks. I went straight to
- 55:58Speaker 9: the room after I got off. I'm surprised that his
- 56:01Speaker 9: bed wasn't made and he was still in it. I
- 56:04Speaker 9: was expecting more sex, but he said he was still
- 56:06Speaker 9: tired from the night before, so we did an oral
- 56:09Speaker 9: exchange that put me to sleep. I woke up to
- 56:12Speaker 9: wrap my hair up and I overheard him in the
- 56:15Speaker 9: bathroom on the phone, talking low. He was describing a
- 56:19Speaker 9: sexual encounter he had earlier that day, but it was
- 56:22Speaker 9: definitely not with me.
- 56:24Speaker 2: He said.
- 56:24Speaker 9: It was the kisses that had him so turned on,
- 56:27Speaker 9: and it is hard for him to be intimate without
- 56:30Speaker 9: kissing and sensual touch. He didn't kiss me in the
- 56:33Speaker 9: mouth at all. He also said he kept eye contact
- 56:37Speaker 9: with whoever he was intimate with. He and I never
- 56:40Speaker 9: locked eyes. He was in there describing a different experience
- 56:43Speaker 9: than we had. Should I assume that he's not ready
- 56:46Speaker 9: to settle down? Can I tell him what I heard? Well,
- 56:52Speaker 9: I don't mean to be harsh here, but he only
- 56:55Speaker 9: wants you for the sex. Okay, whatever. Whatever gave you
- 56:59Speaker 9: the idea that you were in a relationship with this guy. Yes,
- 57:03Speaker 9: you knew him in high school, but like you said,
- 57:05Speaker 9: that was nineteen years ago. All you have in common now,
- 57:09Speaker 9: besides the sex, is that you're both divorced. He's single
- 57:13Speaker 9: and ready to mingle, but he's not thinking about settling
- 57:15Speaker 9: down with you, and he's more serious about the other
- 57:18Speaker 9: woman because they're kissing and making eye contact and stuff.
- 57:21Speaker 9: And you heard him say that turned him on, But
- 57:24Speaker 9: it wasn't like that with you, He said, you're the
- 57:26Speaker 9: best woman he ever had sex with.
- 57:28Speaker 1: That's it.
- 57:29Speaker 9: So you have the wrong idea about this guy. No,
- 57:32Speaker 9: he's not ready to settle down. I'll say that again.
- 57:34Speaker 9: You should get out well while you can if you're
- 57:36Speaker 9: looking for something more serious, because he's not serious about you,
- 57:40Speaker 9: and if you tell him what you heard, So what
- 57:43Speaker 9: I mean, what difference is that gonna make Steve?
- 57:46Speaker 2: Some of these dudes. I can't help, y'all, brus y'all,
- 57:49Speaker 2: just man. I don't know if you don't care, I
- 57:52Speaker 2: don't know if you don't know how to be careful.
- 57:55Speaker 2: I don't know if you understand all of the powers
- 57:59Speaker 2: that women have. Let me start by saying, one of
- 58:03Speaker 2: the major powers that all women have that's exceptional is hearing.
- 58:11Speaker 2: They ask can hear. I don't know why God gave
- 58:16Speaker 2: it to them like that, but they have dog hearing,
- 58:25Speaker 2: A key in the back, no, downstairs, in the basement,
- 58:28Speaker 2: a dog here at she hid. Women have exceptional hearing.
- 58:33Speaker 2: You in the bathrooms on your phone, talking low, not
- 58:38Speaker 2: low enough? All right. I'm in a long distance relationship
- 58:44Speaker 2: with a guy that I dated in high school. We
- 58:47Speaker 2: both married other people. We got divorced, so last fall
- 58:52Speaker 2: we decided to give dating a try again. But he
- 58:55Speaker 2: lives almost three hours away, so I don't get to
- 58:58Speaker 2: see him as much as I like to. Now in
- 59:01Speaker 2: this we don't know how long you've been seeing him.
- 59:07Speaker 2: But he came to see you over the weekend. And
- 59:13Speaker 2: this is your first time having sex in nineteen years.
- 59:17Speaker 2: So I'm assume y'all thirty seven, eighteen year old high
- 59:22Speaker 2: school leave. I'm assuming y'all around thirty seven, so, and
- 59:31Speaker 2: he lives three hours away. So how did you all
- 59:34Speaker 2: find each other? Was this on Facebook? Have y'all always
- 59:38Speaker 2: stayed in touch? See, I don't know none of this.
- 59:42Speaker 2: It is our first time having sex in nineteen years.
- 59:44Speaker 2: I was so ready for it. He got in Thursday.
- 59:47Speaker 2: I went to his hotel room after work. I took
- 59:49Speaker 2: a shower. He put it on me like he promised.
- 59:53Speaker 2: Come through, boy, come through, Come through. Be able to
- 59:56Speaker 2: deliver on your promises. Do the rule of manhood. I
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: teach at the Mintory campus. Do what you say you
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: gonna do. That is the number one rule of manhood.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: If you can master that rule right there, you will
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: have the respect of your peers, You will have respect
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: of your coworkers. You will have respect of your children.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: You will have the respect of your mate, You will
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: have the respect of your employers. Anybody. All you gotta
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: do is a man do like you say you're gonna do.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: He said, you're gonna put it on him. He came
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: in here and get to us that he waxed that
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: car till it shine. We come back, Steve, tell you
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: what all that car wax and got you.
- 1:00:39Speaker 9: Hang on, we'll have part two of your response coming
- 1:00:42Speaker 9: up at twenty three minutes after the our today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:46Speaker 9: Subject he described a different experience. We'll get it back
- 1:00:49Speaker 9: into it right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:00:53Speaker 9: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:56Speaker 9: The subject is he described a different experience.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Woman in a longest relationship with a guy that she
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: dated in high school. Has been nineteen years. They hooked
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: up somehow they started seeing each other again. He lived
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: three hours away, but he came up over the weekend
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: to see her, and it was our first time having
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: sex in nineteen years. She came over after work, took
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: a shower, got into bed, and he put it on
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: her jest, like he promised it was a complete and
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: total waxing. The car is shined and polished. Now the
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: car is shining. He kept on saying that he had
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: been waiting for this moment for years, and he said,
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: I am, by far, the best woman he ever had
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: sex with. We need to keep this line in mind.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: This is very important, by far the best woman I
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: ever had sex with. We went for round two. I
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: went to work the next day. I've been twisted. I
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: could barely make it through the day without flashbacks. She said.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: I got he had. I had been twisted and turned
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: in the best way. And this boy you got flipped.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: This boy was in here doing pancakes and it worked.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: I went straight to the room after I got off.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: I was surprised that his bed wasn't made and he
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: was still in it. I was expecting most sex, but
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: he said he was still tied from the night before.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: So we did an all exchange. That put me to sleep.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: I woke up to wrap my hair. Here we go.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: That's how you know you gotta get up and wrap
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: your hair. Gotta get that hair wrapped or else. Because
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: he come out of that bathroom, he ain't gonna know
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: who you are. So you gotta get that hair wrapped.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: And I overheard him in the bathroom on the phone talking.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: I don't know why men don't understand this gift that
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: women have. Why are you in the bathroom talking women?
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: All women have an incredible gift. What is that gift?
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: It is called the gift of hearing. They can hear
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: any damn thing that's about them being said anywhere. Your
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: ass could have been in the parking lot, in your
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: car with the windows roll up, in the radio on,
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: if you was talking about her, her ass would have
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: heard it. I'm telling you they have dog ass hearing.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: German shepherd here, I don't know what you thought. He
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: was talking low. He was describing a sexual encounter he
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: had earlier that day. Well, that's why he was acting
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: like he was in the bed when you got there,
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: because he realized he had tossed the bed up. Now
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: he got to get in and act like he wasn't
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: doing nothing. He was describing it, but it definitely wasn't me.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: He said he had kisses that he said the kisses
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: turned him on and it was hard for him beinim
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: without kissing the central tuck. He ain't kiss me in
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: the mouth at all, we see why you ain't won't
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: get kissed. You just said in the letter what type
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: exchange y'all had. Now, if you want mouth kissing, you
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: got to start talking. Speak up. You wasn't interested in
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: the mouth kiss minute ago. Now all of a sudden
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: he here mouth kissing this other girl. Now you won't
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: be mouth kissed too. That ain't what you said in
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: your letter. Y'all had a different type of exchange. You
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: want mouth kiss it, you're gonna have to speak up.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: We got it, thank you.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: I'm just saying, and sensual touch. He didn't kiss me
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: in the mouth at all. He also said he kept
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: eye contact with whoever he was intimate, and I never
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: we never locked eyes. He was in there describing a
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: different experience that we had. Should I assume he's not
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: ready to settle down? He ain't settled down? What the
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: hell are you fittingh soon? He just had somebody over
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: at the room. But let me go back. This is
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: what he said in the letter. He said, you are
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: by far the best woman he ever had sex with.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: Well not by far. So now he got to test it, now,
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: don't he He said by far? That means till now,
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: So after you left, he called somebody over. But now
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: this is odd what you need to be because he
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: got to see if he got to make sure he
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: wasn't lying. Now and now hit the other part. He
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: came up for the week end to see you. How
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: did he end up with the other chit? So it
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: ain't just you just three hours away because he came
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: up to a hotel room with you. Now you find
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: out another woman was in there. So how many people
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: are three hours away? So you got competition in town?
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: Should I assume he's not ready to settle down? He
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: ain't settled down, and it ain't nothing you can say
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: to him, because guess what, y'all ain't got no clarity
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: on what your relationship is. Now, can I tell him
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: what I heard? Might as well? Why not tell him
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: what you heard and see what that changed? So what, yeah,
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: tell him what you heard? I heard you in that
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: talking about looking at this woman in the eyes and
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: y'allys kissing. You know what he gonna tell you, you
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: ain't kiss me crazy And then and then you're gonna
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: say you ain't looking me in your idea. You know
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: you're gonna say every time I looked at you, your
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: eyes in the back of your head, but your pupils
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: was in the back of your head. I saw the
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: whites of your eyes. Now, if you want to make
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: eye contact, you got to look at me when I'm
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: looking at you.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Looking at the whites are kind of scary.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: And I do like kissing, but you didn't seem to
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: care for that. So now here we are, there's nothing
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: except you want to know. Was should I assume he's
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: not ready to settle down? He's not settled down. You
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: don't have to assume that he's not settled down. He
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: didn't tell you he was settled down either. He just
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: said he'd been thinking about this for nineteen years. Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: tell that I did it. Can I tell him what
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: I heard? You can?
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: They've just been seeing each other since the fall. They
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: just got divorced in the fall.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Oh you know what I'm saying.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Yeah, and you wonder how long they were dating.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know if you've been up there to
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: see him, but it seemed like the first time.
- 1:07:12Speaker 9: Well, yeah, definitely the first time.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: Because you hadn't been intimate in nineteen years with him,
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: but he ain't been You ain't been intimate with him,
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: but he been intimate, and he been intimate with that
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: other girl that's three hours away too, yep, on the
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: same day.

- 1:09:23Speaker 1: There's that.
- 1:09:26Speaker 7: It's that, and it's just the fact that it just
- 1:09:28Speaker 7: seems like Boston just the more dominant team, the more
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: aggressive team.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: So far they winning, so what. Yeah, you can't say
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: nothing about them right now. But I know Dallas got

- 1:10:45Speaker 2: here and mess with Lebron and Ad and all the attitudes.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: No man, I'd have stayed up there in Yukon, have
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: myself a good life and make money. And they that
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: thirty two million they fin to raise that. Trust me, yeah,
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: trust me. He didn't stay. He didn't turned down seventy
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: for thirty two because I was about to say, show
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: and them what have see. That's not why he's staying.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: It's a different reason. We know why. Now. You can't
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: got money. They got all this nil money for these kids.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: I'm telling you right now what they then gave his coach.

- 1:11:27Speaker 9: Coming up at the top of the hour, a husband
- 1:11:29Speaker 9: needs some advice. His wife got a new booty and
- 1:11:31Speaker 9: she can't stand being the center of attention. We'll talk

- 1:11:35Speaker 1: You're listening.
- 1:11:37Speaker 9: Morning show, all right, So Steve, this one is from
- 1:11:42Speaker 9: Rich and Little Rock. Rich says, my wife teaches seventh
- 1:11:45Speaker 9: grade math, and she recently had surgery to round out
- 1:11:48Speaker 9: her hips and give her a little more booty. She
- 1:11:51Speaker 9: returned to work, but things didn't go well because her
- 1:11:54Speaker 9: white coworkers asked a lot of questions. I told her
- 1:11:58Speaker 9: to admit that she had surgery and move on. The
- 1:12:00Speaker 9: day after that, there was a big bouquet of flowers
- 1:12:03Speaker 9: at her desk with a card that said they were
- 1:12:05Speaker 9: all glad her surgery went well. She called me upset
- 1:12:09Speaker 9: and crying. Now my question is, why would she go
- 1:12:12Speaker 9: get a bigger booty if she can't stand the attention?
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: Help me out here.
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: Oh that's a woman, though, if you will meet it,
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: have an answer for that. We're talking about a woman.
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: I don't know what are you saying.
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: I have no idea why she cried now, I ain't
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: got her flowers. Yeah, glad the surgery went well. It
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: looks wonderful. We know of it. You know, got a
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: bouquet of flowers. You know, white people. It just it's
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: amazing they getting it too. Look if you look on Instagram,
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: they all getting it now. I remember when they used
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: to talk about black women. She got that bubble butt.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: Un everybody won't that. Yeah yeah, all these white girls
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: on Instagram turning around showing you their button, all of
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: them now they want the bubble butt. We been wanting
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: the bubble but the bubble butt has been in since
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: the parties. Cab Callaway now was looking at bubble Butts
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: back then, Duke Ellington. Alla, so it's it's nothing new,
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: you know. I think what happened was the Kardashian craze
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: came along. Kim Tardashian, who took that look from them. Girl,
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: you know, she took that look from them. They took them.
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: All that boatox in the lips, they took that from them, yea,

- 1:14:05Speaker 2: a long time because they are the lisen to me,

- 1:14:13Speaker 2: from this group at all, because I'm not. I'm not
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: excluding no Latino from this black group at all. But
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: I am telling you women of color have been the
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: benchmark for beauty for a long time. They just wouldn't
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: admit it. They kept trying to make everybody else the benchmark.
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: Black women and women of color have been the benchmark.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: They've always had the booty they've always had breasts, they've
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: always had the lips. They call it the exotic look. Oh,

- 1:15:06Speaker 2: all around the world. That's not what I'm saying. The
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: benchmark we got right now, it comes from them sisters. Yes,
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: in that sun causing them, sisters, you're getting them both
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: tox in them full lips and drawing the outline and
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: your lipstick all on the top of your lips. That's
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: for them, sisters. Kim kar dashing. That looked from them sisters.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: That's credit. That's where it comes from. They've been to
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: benchmark comes out. They want our rhythm, but not our blues.
- 1:15:42Speaker 7: Yes, and you know what I know, you know about
- 1:15:46Speaker 7: how beautiful women are around the world, cause you know,

- 1:20:26Speaker 9: With corns or bunions?
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you well that corn. I've never had
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: a bunion that corner or breaking. I don't know.
- 1:20:40Speaker 8: I heard that tiny token where you're at though I
- 1:20:42Speaker 8: heard it. That's that's what a corn is.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: That that's what that's what he's saying.
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: He's agreed. I used to wear size eleven and a
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: half more regators, and boy, let me tell you something
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: I couldn't. That's when I I don't know why I
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: would buy eleven of half when back then I was clear,
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: I was twelve, and I don't know why I was
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: doing that. I just didn't know. I didn't know the
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: growth pattern. I bought a series of them at eleven
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: and a half. And lord Jesus, let me tell you something.
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: May you ever been standing somewhere uh huh and your
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: knees buffle, you know, just for no reason. So when
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: I see women take their shoes off, I could relate
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: because I couldn't take mine off.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: They stuck.
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: I had to wear mine, all right.
- 1:21:31Speaker 9: Last one, Would you rather be happily married, happily married
- 1:21:35Speaker 9: but broke, or would you rather be wealthy but with
- 1:21:39Speaker 9: your ex?
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: Huh? That's poll all over again. I I'm not saying
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: sending me up shirt. I'm married. I'm not doing the
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: XT thing, and I don't give it. Tell you what
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: I could start over with Marjorie, me and her, we
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: could build it back up. I'm not going. I ain't
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: doing the X thing.
- 1:21:59Speaker 9: That's all right, coming up next, last break of the day,
- 1:22:03Speaker 9: and we'll close out the show with the one and only.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening Morning show.
- 1:22:10Speaker 9: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 1:22:13Speaker 9: day on this Wednesday, Homp day.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: It's been a good day.
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: Yes, hey, you know what I have closing remarks today.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: Okay, thanks to Nick Young.
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: By the way, Yeah, I want to thank Nick Young
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: for calling in. Are the mentoring camps this week? The
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: boys come in today are two hundred and fifty boys
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: from around the country. I want to think of all
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: our sponsors. I want to think. I can't think of them,
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: all right, now, so don't let me start. But you
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: know who you are. I have a better list when
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: I want to do it, mentoring works, mentoring changes lives.
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: I want to talk to you about though becoming successful.
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: You know I'm a faith based person, so I always
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: I always turn to faith when I talk about success.
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: I always talk about God's grace and mercy. I always
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: talk about prayer, always talk about faith, always talk about
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: the element of God that will never ever change in me.
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: But I'm gonna add something to that today. I'm gonna
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: talk to you about the component that you have to have.
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: And it's several things that you have to develop. But
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you right now, your effort has a
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: lot to do with it. You can pray all you want,
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: you can believe all you want, you can faith about
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: it all you want, but faith with our works is dead.
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: And that work you got to put in is called effort.
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: You cannot overlook the effort. You can read all the
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: scriptures you want, but if you ain't gonna do the work,
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: it ain't gonn happen for you. Man, the Bible is clear.
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: Faith without works is dead. I am telling you, if
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: you have any any any thought any concept, any desire
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: to be successful on whatever level you choose to call that.
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: It don't make me no difference. If you want to
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: be successful, let me tell you something. It is going
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: to require a massive, massive effort. Don't you think for
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: one minute that you can just walk through the door,
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: that it just swings open like you in a saloon
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: in a movie. Man, Them doors got bricks behind it.
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: Them doors got throwings on it, They got nails on it.
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: Them doors is broken. Them doors fall on you. Sometimes,
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: them doors lock in your face. It's hard, man, It
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: is hard. It is going to take the greatest effort
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: you have. You know what amazes how people they find
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: people successful and they start talking about how lucky they are.
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: Do you know what lucky is? Luck is when hard
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: work runs up into opportunity. That's what lucky is. And
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: luck is how people describe other people's success. You ask
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: somebody who's really successful and find out how lucky they
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: thought they were to get that. No, sir, luck is
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: when hard work bumps up into opportunity. I can't tell
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: you how many times people have told me I was lucky.
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: I sat there and I listened to them, But lucky, No, blessed. Yeah,
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: lucky no, favorite, yes, lucky No. I have worked my
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: tail off. I have put in the work. I am
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: telling you I've put it in. Now. Once again, I'm
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: not saying this without faith, without favor, without grace, without mercy,
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: without prayer. I am not saying this without that. I've
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: done all that. But the added component is I showed up.
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: I showed up. God can't show out for you if
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: you don't show up. If you want to see him
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: show out, you got to show up. God can't put
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: his finger on it to bless it if you ain't
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: got it stuck out there. You got to put out
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: an effort. Y'all, stop complaining about how hard it is,
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: because it's gonna be hard. And I got news for you.
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: It only gets more difficult. Life only gets more difficult
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: and more challenging. You know what happens though, We just
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: get better at the challenges and the setbacks. We just
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: get better at handling it. I was talking to a
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: young man yesterday who had a major problem in his life.
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: He was just telling it to me. When he got through,
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: he said, you, why are you just sitting there all calm?
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: I said, because I've seen this one before I've seen
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: it and done that because you thirty two and I'm
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: sixty seven, and what you explaining to me, it don't
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: even really sound to me. Oh, mister Harvey, how can
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: you say that this is a major problem? I said,
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: I got that. It's a major problem to you right
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: now with your coping skills. But I've coped with that
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: on a greater level. So now I'm gonna give you
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: the answer to it. You mean to tell me if
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: I just walk away and quit worrying about it, that's
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: all I got to do. Yeah, Because let me tell
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: you something. If you staying there worrying about it, what
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: does that change? What has worried ever accomplished? What has
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: worried ever accomplished? Man? But I feel so much anxiety
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: about this. You know what anxiety is. Anxiety is concerning
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: yourself about tomorrow, which you have no control over. More
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: people suffer from anxiety because they concerning theyself with something
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: that might happen tomorrow. And you don't even know what
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: tomorrow gonna bring, So you're tripping yourself out. I say, hey, man,
