- 1:46Speaker 1: then up looking.
- 1:55Speaker 6: Come come on you.
- 2:01Speaker 4: All right, huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're
- 2:05Speaker 4: listening to the voice, Come on dig me now, one
- 2:08Speaker 4: and all that Steve Harvey man oh man, got a
- 2:11Speaker 4: radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 9: Me.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Yeah, trying to make it work too. I'm not trying.
- 2:16Speaker 4: I'm getting it. I'm getting it done to the best
- 2:20Speaker 4: of my abilities.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Now.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Something funny my father taught me. He said, so when
- 2:26Speaker 4: you've done all you can do, if you've done your
- 2:30Speaker 4: absolute best and you look up and it didn't get
- 2:35Speaker 4: the job done, take a deep breath and do some more.
- 2:42Speaker 4: That used to bug me, man, when my father used
- 2:45Speaker 4: to tell me.
- 2:45Speaker 2: That is the son.
- 2:46Speaker 4: When you've done your absolute best and you think you
- 2:50Speaker 4: can't do no more. You've done all you can and
- 2:54Speaker 4: it still don't get the job done, take yourself a
- 2:58Speaker 4: deep breath.
- 3:00Speaker 2: And do some more.
- 3:02Speaker 4: And you know what I found that has worked every
- 3:06Speaker 4: single time, every single time, because what my father knew
- 3:13Speaker 4: was that what you think is your breaking point or
- 3:18Speaker 4: what you think is your all in all, he says, son,
- 3:22Speaker 4: it's just something about it. Man, if you just gather yourself,
- 3:27Speaker 4: you got a little bit more. Everybody got some more.
- 3:33Speaker 4: And you know, I gotta be honest with you. It
- 3:36Speaker 4: has worked.
- 3:37Speaker 2: It has helped me greatly, and you know it, everybody
- 3:42Speaker 2: does have some more.
- 3:44Speaker 10: You know.
- 3:44Speaker 4: I tell that to my sons all the time. Dad,
- 3:46Speaker 4: I did my best. Well, let me ask you something else.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Could you have done anything else?
- 3:51Speaker 2: Could you have.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Studied a little harder, Could you have shown up a
- 3:54Speaker 4: little bit earlier, could you stayed.
- 3:56Speaker 2: A little bit later?
- 3:59Speaker 4: Yeah, well then okay, that's what you should have done.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Then see, there's always a way. But if you're going
- 4:05Speaker 4: to create excuses, if you're gonna make them up all
- 4:10Speaker 4: the time about why you don't get it done, I
- 4:12Speaker 4: have a very, very sad a statement for you right now.
- 4:18Speaker 4: You're never gonna get anything done. You're never gonna get
- 4:21Speaker 4: to the top.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Not to the top.
- 4:23Speaker 4: You can get halfway up. Now, you can get a
- 4:27Speaker 4: third of the way up, you can get three quarters
- 4:29Speaker 4: of the whey up. But if you don't have that
- 4:32Speaker 4: little extra reserve in you, you're not getting to the top.
- 4:36Speaker 4: The top is only reserved for those that have the
- 4:40Speaker 4: wherewithal and the power to desire, the drive and the
- 4:46Speaker 4: gut riching effort to get to the top. The top
- 4:51Speaker 4: is reserved only for the top.
- 4:53Speaker 2: It's just the top. There ain't but one top, then
- 4:55Speaker 2: the middle done, ain't it?
- 4:57Speaker 10: You know?
- 4:58Speaker 2: The top, the top of the mountain halfway is.
- 5:01Speaker 4: A different view. At the top, things look different from
- 5:04Speaker 4: up top. So if you want to get to the
- 5:06Speaker 4: top of whatever your profession, your field, your career, whatever
- 5:13Speaker 4: it is, you got to do extra.
- 5:17Speaker 11: You have to do more.
- 5:19Speaker 4: More is expected of you. More, but his is what's
- 5:22Speaker 4: really crazy. More is required of you. Don't live your
- 5:27Speaker 4: life in a laxadaisical state. Don't wake up every day
- 5:32Speaker 4: with the feeling of, well, you know, whatever happens happens.
- 5:36Speaker 4: Na man have a say so in your life.
- 5:39Speaker 10: You.
- 5:39Speaker 4: First of all, let me ask you something. Who has God?
- 5:44Speaker 4: Name the person that God has given authority over you.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Name the person? But who is the person? Nobody has
- 5:53Speaker 4: domain over you? God didn't create that person. So what
- 5:57Speaker 4: you sitting here for? Man, what you sitting here for
- 6:01Speaker 4: letting people who do not know direct your path? Why
- 6:06Speaker 4: are you worried about all these people with what they
- 6:09Speaker 4: got to say about you and all these people with
- 6:12Speaker 4: what they got to think about you? When here's the
- 6:14Speaker 4: news flash, they don't know either. All these people that
- 6:19Speaker 4: you overly concerned about, all these people that you go
- 6:24Speaker 4: into these.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Answers for, they need answers to stop. What are you
- 6:30Speaker 2: doing here? Gather yourself for a minute. Here is a
- 6:34Speaker 2: solution to all of that.
- 6:36Speaker 4: You have one source that will be there for you
- 6:40Speaker 4: to the end of time, and that is your relationship
- 6:44Speaker 4: with God. That is the one thing that's solid and
- 6:48Speaker 4: for show. He's behind the wall. He's in your jail cell.
- 6:52Speaker 4: He rides with you in the police car. He's with
- 6:55Speaker 4: you on your job up ato school. He's down there
- 6:58Speaker 4: in the board meetings with you. He goes with you
- 7:01Speaker 4: when you travel on planes. He says with you when
- 7:04Speaker 4: you're in a relationship. He helps you with your parenting skills.
- 7:08Speaker 4: He helps you. He's there to assist you. He show
- 7:11Speaker 4: if you do the right things, he show you and
- 7:13Speaker 4: guide you to your next job. When you lose your
- 7:15Speaker 4: job and you think it's a rap, There's some good
- 7:18Speaker 4: behind it. Man, God is always working on your behalf.
- 7:22Speaker 4: To those that believe, you, just gotta believe. He don't
- 7:25Speaker 4: ask you for nothing else.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Believe in me. That's all He asks you to do.
- 7:29Speaker 2: What you're tripping for.
- 7:30Speaker 4: Man, And then when you make the decision to believe
- 7:33Speaker 4: in Him, and it comes out your mouth from time
- 7:37Speaker 4: to time.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Somewhere what you're worried about, what people say, what you're
- 7:40Speaker 2: worried about, what they think for? Why who are they?
- 7:43Speaker 4: They need God to you telling them you found something
- 7:47Speaker 4: new that you're gonna give this a shot right here now.
- 7:49Speaker 4: They got some yang ying yang and some yak ofy
- 7:52Speaker 4: yak to say about that when they need God too.
- 7:55Speaker 4: That's what amazes me, man about people sit up in here, man,
- 7:59Speaker 4: be knocking your dream and stuff. Look, if you're an atheist, man,
- 8:02Speaker 4: do your thing, do your thing. But you can't create
- 8:05Speaker 4: no laws. Why I can't do mine? That don't make
- 8:08Speaker 4: no sense, man, That makes no sense at all to me.
- 8:12Speaker 4: You have the right to go be whatever you want
- 8:14Speaker 4: to be. You know, if you don't you don't like
- 8:17Speaker 4: the fact that I'm in school, got my head bowed down,
- 8:20Speaker 4: and I'm saying a prayer for I take this test.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Just don't buy your head. Don't you pray. But if
- 8:26Speaker 4: some kids want to get together, that's some crazy mess.
- 8:28Speaker 4: That's what happened in our schools. We took prayer out
- 8:30Speaker 4: of schools, and now look at our schools. You send
- 8:34Speaker 4: your child to school and someone else comes back home.
- 8:39Speaker 4: That's a whole nother thing right here. That's not what
- 8:42Speaker 4: I want to talk to you about. But I was
- 8:44Speaker 4: just throwing it out because you know, hey, man, your
- 8:46Speaker 4: relationship with God is essential to your success as a person.
- 8:50Speaker 4: It's essential to your existence. It's essential to where you're
- 8:53Speaker 4: trying to go and what you're trying to be. Because
- 8:56Speaker 4: He made you. Why would you not talk to the
- 9:00Speaker 4: person that made you to find out what he created
- 9:02Speaker 4: you for. I ain't talking about your parents, who made
- 9:06Speaker 4: your parents. This is God, we created in his image.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Why would you not talk to your maker to see
- 9:13Speaker 4: why you got made? That don't make sense to you.
- 9:19Speaker 4: If you're sitting and gotten yourself in a situation. You
- 9:22Speaker 4: sitting in the jail cell somewhere, you locked up, you
- 9:25Speaker 4: doing some time, man, be a good time for you
- 9:28Speaker 4: to refle But whatever your situation is, man, God can
- 9:31Speaker 4: get you through it. He can give you the strength,
- 9:34Speaker 4: the courage to wherewith all the understanding everything you need,
- 9:38Speaker 4: the wisdom to get you through anything you're going through.
- 9:41Speaker 4: You just got a touch base with him. I need
- 9:44Speaker 4: God every single day of my life. And what He's
- 9:50Speaker 4: done for me man off the chain. But guess what
- 9:55Speaker 4: he'll do the same thing for you.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You're listening.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Show, ladies and gentlemen. It is upon us the arrival
- 10:08Speaker 4: of a new day is hell. The Lord has blessed
- 10:12Speaker 4: us to come along. We're our great fault, were our respectful,
- 10:19Speaker 4: and we are ever watchful. I for one, would like
- 10:23Speaker 4: to say that God is in control and I'm gonna
- 10:29Speaker 4: let him do it the way he gonna do it.
- 10:32Speaker 4: I am in B steel mode today all the way
- 10:36Speaker 4: through Friday. I'm in B steel mode. I am just
- 10:40Speaker 4: in a position where I just got to let God
- 10:42Speaker 4: handle this one. It's bigger than me. So I'm in
- 10:45Speaker 4: B steel mode. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Sherley Strawberry.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Don't move, Steve, be still good morning calling for real.
- 10:55Speaker 3: That's right, Peace, be still, good morning? What up?
- 10:59Speaker 2: Junior?
- 11:00Speaker 3: Oh, blessed and hoighly favorite movie in the right direction.
- 11:04Speaker 2: If you tell me yes, sah, peace be steel. Wait on,
- 11:11Speaker 2: that's hard to do. Sometimes.
- 11:12Speaker 4: I ain't gonna tell you know, because you want to
- 11:16Speaker 4: raise your voice and your hand and do something, say something,
- 11:19Speaker 4: but you a long time smite at them, know you
- 11:31Speaker 4: got to pull. I mean I ain't saying like smite
- 11:35Speaker 4: as in killed, but you know, like a light stroke
- 11:41Speaker 4: a little bit right now, fall down some steps, get
- 11:45Speaker 4: your hand ran.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Over by the bush. You know.
- 11:50Speaker 5: The street.
- 11:51Speaker 4: You know your hand, you know how you break your
- 11:53Speaker 4: fall with your hand, and the bush just run over
- 11:55Speaker 4: both your wrists.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Stuff like that.
- 11:57Speaker 2: You know, his head, his head want to be.
- 12:01Speaker 1: You're weighing on him to bless you. Remember I am.
- 12:04Speaker 4: I was just you know, That's why I was saying.
- 12:06Speaker 4: This is why I don't do that other stuff. I
- 12:08Speaker 4: don't ask for stuff like that.
- 12:09Speaker 2: I get the feeling that you are not one of
- 12:11Speaker 2: these people that pray for your enemies.
- 12:13Speaker 7: You're not.
- 12:13Speaker 2: You don't do that.
- 12:15Speaker 4: Oh I'm not at that level of Christianity. I don't
- 12:19Speaker 4: that's gonna happen. Yeah, to do with it sixty Yeah.
- 12:29Speaker 2: You're talking about it.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Advanced Christianity, basic Christianity, you know basic Christianity four five
- 12:38Speaker 4: That not.
- 12:41Speaker 2: No basic is like you know stuff like you know,
- 12:45Speaker 2: doing to others as you would have and do unto you.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Ye love your enemies.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Now that that's the little that's that's what you're getting
- 12:52Speaker 4: into advance. Now once you thees in there, that's advanced.
- 12:58Speaker 5: Christian you know, you to pray for you.
- 13:01Speaker 4: I shall cover with thy neighbor's wife. Then I can stay.
- 13:03Speaker 4: I can drown it that when I do that, you know,
- 13:05Speaker 4: but you know I should not kill that that basic
- 13:09Speaker 4: I'm good with that one. I ain't got to kill nobody.
- 13:12Speaker 12: You know.
- 13:12Speaker 2: But now you know all you turn the chain, Oh no,
- 13:18Speaker 2: that's advanced. That's me.
- 13:22Speaker 1: You're asking him.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Strong hold on, hold school right all your life a PhD.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Right there, listen, I'm still doing one old walk.
- 13:37Speaker 9: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll
- 13:40Speaker 9: hear from the nephew as he runs that brank back
- 13:42Speaker 9: right after this.
- 13:44Speaker 1: You're listening.
- 13:46Speaker 9: Morning show, all right, and it's time now to start
- 13:49Speaker 9: your morning off with the nephew and run that brank back.
- 13:51Speaker 9: What you got for his nest?
- 13:52Speaker 10: This right here is stolen car. Stolen car, cat dog
- 13:57Speaker 10: if you would. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach a

- 14:11Speaker 10: dealership called a car Lot.
- 14:13Speaker 2: I don't know, maybe six or seven months ago, am
- 14:16Speaker 2: I right?
- 14:16Speaker 6: Right? It was six months ago?
- 14:18Speaker 2: Okay.
- 14:19Speaker 10: Now you've been paying notes on this car, I know,
- 14:21Speaker 10: for the last six months. And you know, I hate
- 14:25Speaker 10: to be a burden of bad news. Actually, my name
- 14:28Speaker 10: is Detective Justin, and I'm giving you a call to
- 14:31Speaker 10: let you know that the actual vehicle, this two thousand
- 14:34Speaker 10: and one Navy Blue that you purchased, is actually.
- 14:40Speaker 2: A stolen vehicle.
- 14:41Speaker 10: And we've actually been looking for this car for the
- 14:43Speaker 10: last I've been pretty much close to a year now,
- 14:46Speaker 10: maybe a little over a year. We've been looking for
- 14:48Speaker 10: this I work in the auto theft division. And hold on,
- 14:52Speaker 10: who Detective Justin, sir, and I'm in the auto theft
- 14:58Speaker 10: division here at the police department.

- 15:08Speaker 10: Was it No, sir, it's it's it's And I've done
- 15:11Speaker 10: the trace on on and I know this is probably
- 15:14Speaker 10: a shock to you, but we're right on point with
- 15:17Speaker 10: this thing. You've got a two thousand and one Navy
- 15:18Speaker 10: blue You did buy it. You did buy it at
- 15:20Speaker 10: the car lot dealership, and that uh, and it's the
- 15:24Speaker 10: exact one that the license plate shirt they do match up.
- 15:27Speaker 6: And uh.
- 15:28Speaker 10: I know this is a bit of a shock to you,
- 15:30Speaker 10: but your car is actually a stolen car. So the dealership, sir,
- 15:35Speaker 10: actually sold you a stolen car. And I know you
- 15:39Speaker 10: did not know that. I know that it was not
- 15:41Speaker 10: any information that you already knew. And I know you
- 15:44Speaker 10: thought that you were just purchasing a legitimate car. But
- 15:47Speaker 10: you have a stolen car, mister Trevor.
- 15:50Speaker 13: And no, no, I think you got the wrong first,
- 15:53Speaker 13: because this car is not stolen for real.
- 15:56Speaker 6: This is sir.
- 15:58Speaker 10: I can go all day with you and try to
- 16:00Speaker 10: make you understand what's going on here, and I know
- 16:02Speaker 10: it's probably some some blurry information that's not clear to you,
- 16:06Speaker 10: but at the end of the day, your car is stolen.
- 16:09Speaker 10: I am gonna have to either get someone to come
- 16:11Speaker 10: out and impound.
- 16:12Speaker 2: It or you.
- 16:15Speaker 13: No, no, I think y'all might need to go back
- 16:17Speaker 13: over y'all records then, because I think y'all on the
- 16:19Speaker 13: real I think y'all got the wrong person.
- 16:22Speaker 6: It's sir.
- 16:23Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you once and I'm gonna tell you again.
- 16:26Speaker 2: You have a car that's stolen that I have to
- 16:28Speaker 2: have in my possession by the end of the day.
- 16:31Speaker 6: Now, can't the end of the day? For real?
- 16:33Speaker 10: Man, you got, sir, you have a stolen car and
- 16:37Speaker 10: you're gonna need to bring that car into the police
- 16:39Speaker 10: station so we can get this thing rectified.
- 16:43Speaker 13: For real, man, hold on, let me talk about this.
- 16:46Speaker 7: Man.
- 16:46Speaker 13: I don't know the all that she's telling me.
- 16:47Speaker 10: For real, Sir, I understand what you're saying, but do
- 16:50Speaker 10: you realize you're talking to a police officer here.
- 16:53Speaker 2: I am detective. I am detective justin.
- 16:56Speaker 3: I am who you are.
- 16:58Speaker 6: Man. I'm told them is.
- 17:01Speaker 2: No longer, sir.
- 17:03Speaker 10: We've had to actually shut them down for the time
- 17:06Speaker 10: being until we get quite a few cars rectified that
- 17:09Speaker 10: I've got more than just your vehicle, sir, that's been
- 17:12Speaker 10: that that has auto theft tied to it. There's two things.
- 17:18Speaker 10: Either you're gonna bring it to me or I'm gonna
- 17:20Speaker 10: come get it now. Which one do you want to do?
- 17:22Speaker 13: You ain't coming to get for real, sir.
- 17:24Speaker 10: I don't want to have this to have to get
- 17:26Speaker 10: go to a level of where it doesn't need to be.
- 17:29Speaker 10: But I need to get that car in my possession.
- 17:31Speaker 13: Okay, look, look, look, listen while I'm telling you. Okay,
- 17:34Speaker 13: are you listening.
- 17:35Speaker 2: I'm listening, sir.
- 17:36Speaker 13: Okay, look from.
- 17:37Speaker 14: This, somebody gonna tay me my three hundred seventy fifty
- 17:41Speaker 14: two cents I've been paying for the last six months
- 17:44Speaker 14: unless you're gonna play me that give me back my
- 17:48Speaker 14: trent answer.
- 17:48Speaker 13: Get this, man, I ain't out here what you're talking
- 17:51Speaker 13: about for real? Now you're coming at me with man,
- 17:54Speaker 13: I worked too hard to be keeping up seat notes
- 17:56Speaker 13: like here, man, I got that? Am I ready to
- 17:59Speaker 13: take care? Are you coming to talk about? You tuldn't
- 18:01Speaker 13: take my car because something that happened before I part
- 18:05Speaker 13: and what I don't even know this is true? Like
- 18:07Speaker 13: I said, I thank you missing. I think you've got
- 18:09Speaker 13: me mixed over with somebody else. What y'all just not
- 18:12Speaker 13: coming in me talking this. I ain't heard nothing about
- 18:14Speaker 13: this before.
- 18:15Speaker 10: Sure, it's taking us a while to actually track down
- 18:17Speaker 10: the car and actually find out exactly where it was.
- 18:19Speaker 10: I've tracked this car so for the last eight nine
- 18:23Speaker 10: months and I finally found that you are the one
- 18:25Speaker 10: that's actually has it in your possession.
- 18:27Speaker 2: It happens all the time.
- 18:28Speaker 10: It's an unlikely situation, but I got to get you
- 18:31Speaker 10: to bring it in, and I'm I ain't bring it, you.
- 18:33Speaker 13: Know what I mean, I ain't bringing y'all got coming
- 18:36Speaker 13: to get from me that somebody give me my three
- 18:39Speaker 13: hundred seventy dollars fifty two cents I've been paying for

- 52:18Speaker 2: Buckle up and hold on tight. We got it for
- 52:20Speaker 2: you here.
- 52:20Speaker 10: It is.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Subject. She acts like a bigger subject, shicks like a
- 52:27Speaker 1: bitter old bitty engage trouble.
- 52:35Speaker 2: Great day in radio.
- 52:40Speaker 1: No, it wouldn't know, it wouldn't have junior.
- 52:43Speaker 5: People will be talking, we'll be trending.
- 52:48Speaker 2: All right, here we go.
- 52:49Speaker 9: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a fifty year old married man,
- 52:52Speaker 9: and my wife and I have been married for eleven years.
- 52:55Speaker 9: When we got married, I was working on my doctorate
- 52:58Speaker 9: degrees and I worked full time and was struggled to
- 53:02Speaker 9: take care of her and our newborn child. She decided
- 53:05Speaker 9: to start school herself after having our second child. She
- 53:09Speaker 9: got her master's degree in twenty nineteen, and I expected
- 53:13Speaker 9: her to apply for a job, but instead she decided
- 53:17Speaker 9: to get her doctorate degree. This led to more financial
- 53:21Speaker 9: stress in our family. The little I made barely covered rent,
- 53:25Speaker 9: and the financial strain was great. I had to take
- 53:29Speaker 9: side hustles just to make ends meet, and I think
- 53:32Speaker 9: this led to a change in attitude for both of us,
- 53:35Speaker 9: and we began snapping at each other over the tiniest things.
- 53:39Speaker 9: I began to think of what to do to improve
- 53:41Speaker 9: our situation, and finally, by the grace of God, I
- 53:45Speaker 9: got a great job. I figured it would improve our marriage,
- 53:48Speaker 9: but things got worse. She is still snappy, complains all
- 53:52Speaker 9: the time, nags me about everything, and she's always tired
- 53:56Speaker 9: from school. She hardly takes care of herself, and when
- 53:59Speaker 9: I come plane, all she says is who am I
- 54:02Speaker 9: trying to impress. Sex between us has dwindled to once
- 54:05Speaker 9: or twice a month, and even then it's a chore.
- 54:10Speaker 9: She only allows me to do a quickie and she
- 54:13Speaker 9: starts complaining if I take too long to finish. We
- 54:16Speaker 9: hardly talk as husband and wife, and I started sleeping
- 54:18Speaker 9: in another room anytime she's not home and I'm with
- 54:22Speaker 9: our kids.
- 54:23Speaker 1: We're all in a good mood.
- 54:25Speaker 9: Soon as she walks in the atmosphere's tense she acts
- 54:29Speaker 9: like an old, bitter, elderly woman, but she is only
- 54:32Speaker 9: forty one. Is this how ladies act after a while
- 54:36Speaker 9: in marriage or is this a special case? How can
- 54:39Speaker 9: I get her back to how she was? Well?
- 54:42Speaker 1: I mean, you know, first of all.
- 54:44Speaker 9: You guys can talk more as husband and wife, you know,
- 54:47Speaker 9: And you got to consider this huge load that she's
- 54:51Speaker 9: taken on. She's studying for her doctorate degree, she just
- 54:55Speaker 9: had a baby. You know, there's a lot of things
- 54:58Speaker 9: going on here. And I'm going to to tell you,
- 55:00Speaker 9: I honestly think she needs to see a doctor immediately.
- 55:03Speaker 9: I mean, she might be suffering from postpartum depression. It's
- 55:07Speaker 9: been a while, but if maybe if it's untreated. You know,
- 55:11Speaker 9: there's still some residual effects here from having this baby.
- 55:14Speaker 9: It happens a lot in women, many women after having
- 55:18Speaker 9: a baby. And again, she's got a lot on her
- 55:21Speaker 9: plate with school, the financial stress. You know, that doesn't
- 55:24Speaker 9: just affect you, it affects her and the whole family.
- 55:28Speaker 9: Even though you say you have a great job. Now,
- 55:30Speaker 9: it doesn't seem that easy for her to snap back.
- 55:33Speaker 9: I'm asking you to be a little more patient with her,
- 55:36Speaker 9: and if you guys can afford it. Maybe you can
- 55:38Speaker 9: get someone to help her with the kids and around
- 55:41Speaker 9: the house for a couple of days a week, you know,
- 55:44Speaker 9: maybe send her to the spot to see if she
- 55:46Speaker 9: can invite her girlfriends over or ask them to take
- 55:49Speaker 9: her out for a girl's night out. Sounds like she
- 55:51Speaker 9: needs to get out of the house, do something different
- 55:54Speaker 9: than what she's been doing.
- 55:56Speaker 5: And it seems like, you know, working on her is
- 56:00Speaker 5: really really hard on her.
- 56:02Speaker 9: Please be more supportive as a husband, but by all means,
- 56:06Speaker 9: make sure she she sees a doctor.
- 56:08Speaker 4: Steve supportive, I don't. I don't know how she can
- 56:14Speaker 4: be anymore supportive. I really don't great answer, though, Cheryl.
- 56:18Speaker 4: I like your answer, uh, to protect this woman, But
- 56:23Speaker 4: in this case right here, I don't see how she
- 56:25Speaker 4: needs protecting. I think this woman has to step up
- 56:30Speaker 4: and get herself together and make some changes. Now, if
- 56:34Speaker 4: it's medical, then, like Shirley said, it could be this postmodel.
- 56:40Speaker 4: But the maybe was eleven years ago.
- 56:41Speaker 9: Now, no, she had another one in a second style
- 56:49Speaker 9: no space between there. You're right, but she figured the.
- 56:52Speaker 2: Old man man, my wife and I be married. Eleven
- 56:55Speaker 2: years we got married.
- 56:56Speaker 4: I was working on a doctor degree, I worked full time,
- 56:59Speaker 4: struggling to take of her and our new born child. Okay,
- 57:04Speaker 4: she decided to start school herself. After having our second child.
- 57:10Speaker 4: She got a master's degree in twenty nineteen. I expected
- 57:13Speaker 4: her to apply for a job, but instead she decided
- 57:16Speaker 4: to get a doctor degree. Now, obviously this is too
- 57:19Speaker 4: much the children and the doctor to be. This led
- 57:23Speaker 4: to more financial stress in the family. The little I
- 57:26Speaker 4: made barely covered rent, so financial strain was great, which
- 57:29Speaker 4: is always a big cause in marriages struggling. I took
- 57:33Speaker 4: sideline hustles to make ends meet, and I think this
- 57:36Speaker 4: led to a change in attitude for both of us.
- 57:39Speaker 2: We both began snapping over the tiniest things.
- 57:45Speaker 4: I began to think of what to do to improve
- 57:47Speaker 4: our situation, and finally, grace to God, I got a
- 57:49Speaker 4: great job.
- 57:50Speaker 2: I figured it would improve our marriage, but things got worse.
- 57:54Speaker 4: She still snappy, complaints all the time, nags me about
- 57:57Speaker 4: everything as.
- 57:59Speaker 2: She's tired school.
- 58:00Speaker 4: She wanted to go to school. She's snapping. She forty one,
- 58:06Speaker 4: the dude doing all he can do. Now, let me
- 58:08Speaker 4: tell you something, sir, you can't make another person happy.
- 58:13Speaker 4: Bishop Jakes told me this one time. He says, Steve,
- 58:16Speaker 4: you can't make another person happy, nor is it your job.
- 58:20Speaker 4: And if you take on that job to make another
- 58:22Speaker 4: person happy, you have taking on like daunting, daunting responsibility
- 58:28Speaker 4: because you can't do it. She's not a happy person
- 58:31Speaker 4: right now.
- 58:32Speaker 1: Yeah, hang on, Steve.
- 58:33Speaker 9: All right, we'll have part two of Steve's response coming
- 58:36Speaker 9: up in twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry
- 58:40Speaker 9: letter subject she acts like a bitter old bitty. We'll
- 58:44Speaker 9: get back into it right after this.
- 58:47Speaker 5: You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 58:50Speaker 9: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter subject.
- 58:54Speaker 9: Watch collar curringe when I say this, she acts like
- 58:57Speaker 9: a bitter old bitty.
- 59:00Speaker 4: Fifty year old man married, got a wife eleven years.
- 59:06Speaker 4: He was working on your doctor degree, and you work
- 59:09Speaker 4: full time, and y'all was struggling taking care of her
- 59:12Speaker 4: in a newborn. She decided to start school herself after
- 59:16Speaker 4: having our second child.
- 59:18Speaker 2: She got a master's degree in twenty ninety. I expect
- 59:20Speaker 2: her to apply for a job, but it's there. She
- 59:22Speaker 2: decided to get a doctor degree. So y'all like degrees
- 59:27Speaker 2: if y'all like.
- 59:28Speaker 4: Making money as much as y'all like having degrees. Y'all
- 59:30Speaker 4: might be on to something, but we'll just leave that alone.
- 59:33Speaker 4: That ain't my business. You know, some people like degrees,
- 59:36Speaker 4: so go ahead and get you another one. Somebody once
- 59:39Speaker 4: told me though, a very very rich man was talking
- 59:41Speaker 4: to a group of college students at a big event,
- 59:45Speaker 4: like it was some type of conference going on, and
- 59:48Speaker 4: this guy was standing up. Then he was talking about
- 59:50Speaker 4: his degrees and how much he made a year, and
- 59:53Speaker 4: he was going to go back to get another degree
- 59:55Speaker 4: because he wanted to make a little bit more a year,
- 59:57Speaker 4: and if thought necessary, he'd get a third. He said, Son,
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: let me ask you something. If you have a degree
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: that ain't working for you, why would you go get
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: another one of them? And I kind of I just
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: thought about that, so I'm I'm just saying that because
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: this might be that problem with this letter.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: So now you all barely got through this.
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: So finally, by the grace of God, you got a
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: good job and you thought it would smooth everything out
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: when it didn't. She still snappy, complains all the time,
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: nags me about everything, and she's tired from school. She
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: says she wanted to go to school. Sometimes, man, you
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: make decisions and na, I hate to get spiritual on you,
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: but I gotta tell you this because I've done this
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: myself several hundred times. You make a decision without asking
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: God anything about it. You just go through your plan.
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: And now you're miserable cause that might not have been
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: the best way to do it. Just because you make
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: a decision, don't and you want to do it, don't
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: make it the right decision for you.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: So now you're.
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: Miserable, And now you're making the man miserable. Nags you
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: about everything. She's already tired for school. Now hit the
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: part she hardly takes care of herself, he would go,
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: Now we're in the dangerous part of the letter.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: She don't take care of herself.
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: And then when I complained about that, all she says is,
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: who am I trying to impress?
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: Hell?
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: How about me? But see this woman is tripping a
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: little bit because it's just about her. Now, I went
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: back to school to get me a doctorate degree. I'm tired,
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: I ain't fit to do nothing else. Who am I
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: trying to impress me? Your husband? See that she'd have
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: forgot the same thing it took to get your baby hook.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: It's gonna take the same thing. Keep it.
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: Sex between us has drained her down to once or
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: twice a month. See, we're in trouble now. Now you
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: ain't taking care of yourself, and now we having sex
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: once or twice a month. He fitted with got problem
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: without probably anybody final to do this one twice a month. Okay,
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: I'm just saying, I'm just I'm just trying.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: To because it hurt them everything. Yeah, hurt with everybody.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: I know that this is time to change your tone
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: because things is finish. Change.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: Let anybody finish it up here and do this what
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: you Wantsing twice a month, he'dne got the good job.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: Somebody down there walking past him looking just like he
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: like it. She taking care of herself and everything. Now,
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: I'm all for the institutional marriage. I try to make
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: it work. But now even when you make love, it's
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: a chore. She only allows me to do it quickie,
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: and she starts complaining if I take long to finish.
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: We hardly talk as her husband and wife and I
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: started sleeping in another room anytime she got home, and
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: I'm with our kids were all in a good move.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: Soon as she walk in the atmosphere's tenth that reminds
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: me of a person we used to know. It's called
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: black cloud. See black You got some people who walk
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: in the room, but just a black cloud. It's just
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: people walking room, just dark black cloud. Just he the
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: ass come damn thunderstorm walking in the room. Weather change.
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: She acts like an old bity elderly woman, but she's
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: only forty one. Is this how ladies act after a
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: wildly marriage? Know, by any means, nowhere near all of them,
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: but you got the one that do though? Is this
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: a special case? Yeah, it's kind of special. Now, changes
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: happen in all marriages, and you got to make adjustments,
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: but she ain't making them.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: So now how can I get her back to how
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: she was? I don't know. I don't know.
- 1:03:35Speaker 9: Now.
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: Surely said get us some medical help, but I think
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: it's a mental thing. If you tied all the time,
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: that ain't medical. You done bit off more than you too.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: You try to get a degree in some and now
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: you're on a doctorate. You know, y'all gonna just keep
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: going to school. I mean you can do that. Education
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: is great. I think smart is a gift. But sometimes
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: you're doing more more than you can handle. And she
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: done bid off a lot. We having sex once twice
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: a month. You nagging and complain about everything you done,
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: let yourself go, and you ain't taking care of yourself.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Me and the kids at home having a good time.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: You walk in and the.
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: Change because you're evil. I'm not staying with that. I'm
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: not I'm not doing that. I'm not staying No, if
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: you evil, I'm not staying with you. There's a scripture
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: that says it is better to live on the corner
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: of a rooftop than inside with a quarolsome woman. That's
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: in Proverbs. I'm not fit to do that, and you
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: can't ask a man to do that. Ladies, I feel
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: like I'm dead. Once I feel like I'm dead, I
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: gets out the.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: Relations Today's Strawberry. That's what that part means, to death,
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: do us part, and I feel dead.
- 1:04:52Speaker 9: Time for us to part at Steve Harvey FM on
- 1:04:55Speaker 9: Instagram and Facebook. Check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on

- 1:05:18Speaker 15: The Bible says Peter cussed when he was asked the
- 1:05:22Speaker 15: third time about rather fact he knew Jesus. So what
- 1:05:25Speaker 15: I'm gonna give you, miss doll Harby, is some situations
- 1:05:28Speaker 15: in the Bible, and like a little light cussing, nothing
- 1:05:31Speaker 15: over the top, just a little light cussing when David,
- 1:05:36Speaker 15: when David was in the lions, then just David and
- 1:05:40Speaker 15: the lions. Give me a little light cussing, sir, Just
- 1:05:42Speaker 15: a little light's.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: Dog, it's hell down here.
- 1:05:54Speaker 8: We don't know if that happened, but we just think
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: maybe he did cuss.
- 1:05:57Speaker 15: How about this with miss Jonah in the belly of
- 1:06:01Speaker 15: the well when he clothing well closed up and he
- 1:06:03Speaker 15: in there by himself.
- 1:06:06Speaker 8: Just a little like custom, mister Harpy, Just something real light.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: It's nothing over the time. What the hell did you eat?
- 1:06:17Speaker 8: Okay?
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:06:19Speaker 15: These are these are bi biblical situations where I think
- 1:06:23Speaker 15: there was some cussing going on.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Check this out.
- 1:06:26Speaker 15: Sampson wakes up and he discovers all of his hair
- 1:06:31Speaker 15: is gone. Look like customed, mister harp just something look
- 1:06:35Speaker 15: like look.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: Like what did Joe ass do?
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Delilah?
- 1:06:46Speaker 7: Let me that again.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Let me again. What did Joe ass do?
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: Delilah?
- 1:06:52Speaker 15: Okay, all right, David, David when he first laid eyes
- 1:06:58Speaker 15: on Bathsheba naked on the top of the building, little light.
- 1:07:03Speaker 8: Custing, mister Harvey, nothing nothing over the.
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: What David?
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: When he looked at.
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: That's she?
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: What did he say, miss the Harvey? A little lights?
- 1:07:27Speaker 8: I'm like.
- 1:07:32Speaker 15: When Eve came back and told Adam what she did?
- 1:07:37Speaker 15: What did Adam say, little light cussing? Nothing over the top, sir,
- 1:07:41Speaker 15: nothing over hell?
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: Now what.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: Did they tell you? We gotta go?
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: You're listening Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: Here's a question. Listen, guys, if you had to fight
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: a wild animal, which animal would you choose?
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: And why?
- 1:08:15Speaker 9: A new online survey by you Gov of twelve hundred
- 1:08:18Speaker 9: and twenty four US adults aged eighteen and over ask
- 1:08:23Speaker 9: participants to answer the question which animal do you think
- 1:08:27Speaker 9: you would.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Win in a fight?
- 1:08:29Speaker 9: Humans included the mighty elephant and fierce rhinoceros won out
- 1:08:33Speaker 9: against more than thirty other predators and pray seventy four
- 1:08:37Speaker 9: percent of the time.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: So I got to ask you, guys, which animal? Which
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: wild animal would you fight? Junior?
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: I'm telling you right, now now I'm gonna whoop a
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: wild rabbits ass. I got. I promise you I'm gonna
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: win that one.
- 1:08:55Speaker 8: I'm not going to.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: Lose to is rabbit.
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: I'm going to fight.
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: That's a weird question, but okay, yeah answer, yeah, yeah,
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: Oh I kick a squirrel ass.
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: Come on, squirrel, I'm telling you my name is squirreling.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: I ain't any squirrel in the country with my ants
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: that running out in traffic, faking back and forth.
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: What was that you thought you saw in your car?
- 1:09:25Speaker 9: That?
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: Oh that was awesome. Oh no, that was Tommy.
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: But you saw something too.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: No, no, no, a squirrel.
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: I had left my windows open in the garage, and
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: a squirrel climbed up in the back seat and was
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: in the window. And when I get in, the car
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: started a cob and I looked in the rear view mirror.
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: I thought a bell was in my because you know
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: that little sign saying objects are closer than they appear.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: Hey, doc, let me tell you so. I thought it
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: was a bell in that damn car.
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: If you have seen me climb op that damn car
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: without opening the door.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: And it was a squirrel.
- 1:10:12Speaker 4: The squirrel just jumped out the car just hopped on
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: down the driver because I let your garage do them.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: So but that damn Tommy with that possum store the.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: Greatest birthday boy.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: All right, So we're at LA and me and I
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: ste at YouTube shirt.
- 1:10:29Speaker 10: We got to be on the air at three o'clock
- 1:10:31Speaker 10: in the morning because we were syndicated to Dallas, which
- 1:10:36Speaker 10: is five o'clock in the morning in Dallas, so you
- 1:10:38Speaker 10: got to be there. So I'm leaving thirty thirty minutes
- 1:10:41Speaker 10: ahead of time. I'm leaving so I can get there
- 1:10:43Speaker 10: on time, so he ain't mad at me. But when
- 1:10:45Speaker 10: I get to the when I get on top of
- 1:10:47Speaker 10: the park instruction, my car is backed up against the
- 1:10:51Speaker 10: fence and it's got one of them listen, two forty
- 1:10:54Speaker 10: Nissan two forty Z and it's got that little pop
- 1:10:57Speaker 10: up sun roof. You know, it don't go back and forth,
- 1:11:00Speaker 10: it just pop up. Behind the car is a possum
- 1:11:05Speaker 10: on the fence.
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: So I thene stomped. I stomped. I shoe shoe, shoes, shoe.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: I did all that.
- 1:11:14Speaker 10: Now now it's about two fifty I'm finna be late
- 1:11:17Speaker 10: for work for show. So I said, okay, that's what
- 1:11:20Speaker 10: I'm gonna do. I'm gonna get in on the passenger
- 1:11:22Speaker 10: side since I bad then and then I just climb over.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: So I get in on the passenger side, and I
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: closed the door.
- 1:11:30Speaker 10: Now, if you knew a thing, if you know anything
- 1:11:31Speaker 10: about a Nissan two forty, when you closed the door,
- 1:11:35Speaker 10: there's a seatbelt track that comes right down the side
- 1:11:39Speaker 10: of your face autumn automatically.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: And I thought his ass was in that car.
- 1:11:48Speaker 10: I was throwing them hands like it was the end

- 1:14:48Speaker 2: I gotta have a blanket? Yeah, because I'm naked. Oh
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: I sleep.
- 1:14:57Speaker 4: That part Now, that's gonna be rough with a pillow,

- 1:15:30Speaker 2: I said I had one.
- 1:15:31Speaker 4: Well, she asked you a follow a question and you
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: ignored hers. What she's angry about?
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: I couldn't.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: I couldn't hear. I'm bad.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: It helped me sleep better because Jackie got on fifty.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: I just answered, are you all right?
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: We're moving on, and you.
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: Are telling me that it's a little delay right now.
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: It's throwing off because you normally real shop and quick
- 1:16:02Speaker 4: and right now you got that little dull marble thing working.
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: It's not me, okay, it's not me, all right?
- 1:16:13Speaker 9: What'd your we're moving on? Would you rather tell your mate?
- 1:16:16Speaker 9: Would you what'd your move? Would you rather tell your
- 1:16:19Speaker 9: mate everything you did yesterday? Tell your mate every single
- 1:16:23Speaker 9: thing you did? Or would you rather buy her a car?
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: About a car?
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: You can't tell her what you doing?
- 1:16:31Speaker 7: Yes?
- 1:16:33Speaker 12: Yes, because it's every other day always somebody mate. I
- 1:16:38Speaker 12: mean this, you know, just in case you do something
- 1:16:41Speaker 12: real crazy.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: You know the argument I'm trying to avoid.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Surely, So you're gonna buy her a car?
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: Okay, so you go.
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: So so when I called a fleet, you didn't have
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: time to talk to me, but you would swear at
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: the golf store with who let's see here, here's a
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: car here here?
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: Yeah? Oh okay, like that all right?
- 1:17:08Speaker 9: Would you rather do five different positions every time you
- 1:17:12Speaker 9: were intimate? Or only one position forever?
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: Theiet a spice of life. I just think five.
- 1:17:21Speaker 9: Five different times every single time? Yeah, or only one
- 1:17:25Speaker 9: position forever?
- 1:17:27Speaker 6: No?
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: I like that five.
- 1:17:30Speaker 16: Them five all right, lovers, Yeah, yeah, we got five years,
- 1:17:38Speaker 16: all right, not one five every single time.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: Same. Hold on, man, you're getting bored. All right.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: That's today's version of would you Rather?
- 1:17:52Speaker 9: And at forty nine minutes after the hour, we'll be
- 1:17:54Speaker 9: back with our last break of the day and some
- 1:17:56Speaker 9: closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey right
- 1:17:59Speaker 9: after you're listening.
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: Morning show.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: All right, Steve, here we are last breakup the day.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: It's been a good Monday. It's been a good monday.
- 1:18:09Speaker 9: Yeah anyway, all right, Steve, So time for you now
- 1:18:13Speaker 9: to leave us with some closing remarks like you always do,
- 1:18:17Speaker 9: some good ones as usual.
- 1:18:18Speaker 10: You know.
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: I was thinking the other day because this year my
- 1:18:23Speaker 4: vacation was more spiritual than it's ever been. And I
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: kid you not to keep saying it, but God really
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: really opened up my eyes to a lot of things,
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: and I have no problem sharing it, man, And I've
- 1:18:38Speaker 4: learned so much that I'm kind of aggravated at myself
- 1:18:42Speaker 4: a little bit that I didn't take the time to
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: sit down and really let his presence speak to me
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: the way I did this year. I'm kind of aggravated
- 1:18:54Speaker 4: at myself that I didn't do this years ago, and
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: I found out real quick that I was wasting a
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: lot of time being mad at myself because how many
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: times have you said in your life? If I only
- 1:19:08Speaker 4: knew then what I know now, But you know what
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: I had to come to terms with, I just wouldn't
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: have taken this information and appreciated it the same way.
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: And I think all of us when we sit back
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: and people asked us questions like if you could change anything,
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: what would you change in your life? Or if you
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: were talking to your twenty year old self, what would
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: you say to your twenty year old self. I don't
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: mind answering that question what would I say to my
- 1:19:38Speaker 4: twenty year old self? But the question is often asked,
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: if you could change anything, what would you change? Well,
- 1:19:49Speaker 4: I know a lot of stuff in my life that
- 1:19:51Speaker 4: lasted a lot longer than I wanted to. I didn't
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: think I needed to live in a car for three years.
- 1:20:00Speaker 4: After I learned what he was teaching me, it took
- 1:20:03Speaker 4: three years for me to get it. I didn't think
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: that I needed to get divorced, But after getting divorced, I.
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: Learned what he was trying to teach me.
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: Because what you got to understand is behind and I've
- 1:20:20Speaker 4: said this several times before, behind every moment of adversity,
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: there's a lesson and there's a blessing. And so all
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: the experiences that I've had in my life have led
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: to some incredible lessons and some incredible blessings. Now, the
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: lessons you don't like them all the time, because being
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: disciplined nobody likes that.
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: But the blessings you do like.
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: But in every last one of those lessons, if I
- 1:20:50Speaker 4: stayed the course and paid attention, that was always a
- 1:20:54Speaker 4: blessing behind it.
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: So I can't change anything.
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: That's ever happened to me because that's how it became experienced.
- 1:21:05Speaker 4: That's how you've become experienced. That's why you know what
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: you know. That's why you can cope with what you
- 1:21:10Speaker 4: can cope with. A lot of people complain about the
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: hardships that they've had in their life, But what people
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: sometimes don't look at is that in spite of those hardships,
- 1:21:22Speaker 4: I mean, look at you. You survived every last one
- 1:21:25Speaker 4: of them. Not one of them took you out because
- 1:21:29Speaker 4: you still him. So instead of studying, reminiscenting and talking
- 1:21:34Speaker 4: about how hard you done, had it Why don't you
- 1:21:36Speaker 4: sow some gratitude for the fact that he brought you
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: through it?
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: And I promise you you're stronger for it. You get stronger.
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: Because you've been challenged, You get you get tougher because
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: you get you've been whooped on.
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: You know things because you are now experienced. You know
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: how to fight cause you've been beat. You know how
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: to get up cause you kept getting knocked down.
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: Man, Ain't that amazing man that sometimes you have to
- 1:22:12Speaker 4: realize that you got to go.
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: Through some things to end up with some things.
- 1:22:18Speaker 4: I just would not be the person I am today,
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: and you would not be the person that you are
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: today had you not gone through what you gone through. Now,
- 1:22:27Speaker 4: I guess what I got that you was uncomfortable with
- 1:22:29Speaker 4: the fact that you didn't meet your father or your
- 1:22:33Speaker 4: mom passed early. I got you uncomfortable with the fact
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: that you were adopted. I'm god that you're uncomfortable with
- 1:22:41Speaker 4: the fact that you had to go through Falster care.
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: I got you uncomfortable with all of that. But ain't
- 1:22:46Speaker 4: you still here though it didn't break you? But see,
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: if you don't move past the lesson, if you keep
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: going over the lesson, you'll never make yourself available for
- 1:22:59Speaker 4: the blessed. I had to go through this, and then
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: I went through that. You keep going over the lesson.
- 1:23:06Speaker 4: I can't believe the Lord let me get adopted and
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: I never met my mother and father.
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: I got that.
- 1:23:12Speaker 4: I can't believe they put me in foster care. They
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: must have didn't want me. I understand all of that.
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: But when you get through saying all of that, have
- 1:23:21Speaker 4: you ever thought that just maybe in there, it made
- 1:23:27Speaker 4: you a little bit stronger, made you a little bit tougher,
- 1:23:31Speaker 4: made your little bit wiser, made you a little bit
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: more experience, And in that that is the blessing. So
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: quick complaining and talking about the lesson and focus, because
- 1:23:48Speaker 4: behind every moment of adversity there is a lesson and
- 1:23:52Speaker 4: a blessing.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: So now we came. None of us change what happened
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: to us. They probably shouldn't want to.
- 1:24:00Speaker 4: Class who wouldn't be who we are today shows of
- 1:24:02Speaker 4: my closer remarks today.
- 1:24:04Speaker 5: Amens swap the mic.
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: We can't.
