  I'm thinking today of Psalm 34 6. It says this,

  this poor man cried and the Lord heard him and

  saved him out of all his troubles. Psalm 34 6.

  Crying out to God is simply the wise thing to

  do. It isn't usually done because it's the wise
• 0:13
  thing to do. It's done because the pain or difficulty
• 0:16
  becomes too great. Maybe it's a last resort.

  Sometimes people go there much more quickly.
• 0:21
  Sometimes God intervenes and brings the person
• 0:24
  out to safety and freedom from troubles. Sometimes
• 0:27
  it seems God doesn't. I think God knows best.

  Sometimes the trouble, like the thorn in the
• 0:32
  flesh, is needed to keep the person from something
• 0:35
  far worse, or it has a result that is desirable,
• 0:38
  actually. God can hear and can act, and indeed
• 0:42
  does for the one who believes. Knowing God can
• 0:45
  and will is part of what makes faith productive,
• 0:47
  knowing he rewards those who seek him. So turn
• 0:50
  your heart's desire over. Call on him for his
• 0:53
  intervention. Trust him to do what's best. And
• 0:56
  whenever your tendency would be to trust less,
• 0:57
  trust more instead. Trust that the pathway through
• 1:01
  being poor or sick or whatever may actually be
• 1:04
  the pathway to his perfect assistance. When we
• 1:07
  arrive in heaven to perfect eternity, we won't
• 1:10
  much care about the events of our lives that
• 1:12
  seemed to stink at the time. They will only be
• 1:14
  reasons for greater praise.
