- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me NW one and only. Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show, Yeah, I got one. I got a message
- 2:15Speaker 1: for you today to something I was thinking about that
- 2:18Speaker 1: might help you along the way. Um. The thing I
- 2:21Speaker 1: appreciate about so many U people that I learned from
- 2:25Speaker 1: Bishop Jake's, Kenneth Omer, Donnie McClerkin, Kirk Franklin, Um, Joel Oldstein.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I can't tell you and and and and many more
- 2:41Speaker 1: than that. I mean, you know, I mean I'm naming
- 2:45Speaker 1: you know, famous people because because I know you know
- 2:50Speaker 1: these names. But my father, who you never met, was
- 2:55Speaker 1: so great in my development as a man. But my
- 2:58Speaker 1: mother thought him said, My mother was um. She taught
- 3:05Speaker 1: me about faith. She gave me the things I needed
- 3:08Speaker 1: to know about. What I speak about every day, that
- 3:12Speaker 1: basis was given to me by her. So there's so
- 3:14Speaker 1: many great people. But here's here's here's the thing that
- 3:18Speaker 1: I've had to learn, and that is that if God
- 3:23Speaker 1: got you through it, it's done. Move on. See, I
- 3:30Speaker 1: can't tell you how many people don't really pay attention
- 3:32Speaker 1: to that close enough. If God got you through it,
- 3:37Speaker 1: it's done. Move on. How many times have we as
- 3:43Speaker 1: people allowed God to get us through something, get us
- 3:47Speaker 1: beyond something, get us over something, get us through something,
- 3:52Speaker 1: and then even after its completion, we sit there and
- 3:57Speaker 1: we dwell on it, and we dwell on it to
- 3:59Speaker 1: the point where it becomes an anchor around our neck
- 4:02Speaker 1: and we can't move on. We can't move on because
- 4:09Speaker 1: we just won't let it go. It's done. If God
- 4:15Speaker 1: got you through it, it's done. Move on. Stop harboring
- 4:20Speaker 1: on the past. Stop hanging on to every time you fail,
- 4:25Speaker 1: Stop hanging onto every time you slipped up and messed up.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Stop hanging onto every time you didn't get it right.
- 4:32Speaker 1: So what Everybody makes mistakes, everybody messes up. Everybody don't
- 4:38Speaker 1: get it right. Everybody is struggling with something. You ain't
- 4:43Speaker 1: the only one, but my God. Man, if God got
- 4:48Speaker 1: you through it, it's done. Move on. You're hanging on
- 4:53Speaker 1: to it, for that's why he got it, got you
- 4:55Speaker 1: through it, so you can move on from it. See
- 4:59Speaker 1: a lot of things that happened to us that we
- 5:02Speaker 1: think are negative or bad experience. These are lessons and
- 5:06Speaker 1: what and what not to do. This is a this uh,
- 5:13Speaker 1: this is a this is a way to have a
- 5:15Speaker 1: now or bearing on. Lookout for it the next time.
- 5:19Speaker 1: You know you you you you you. You got me once,
- 5:23Speaker 1: you can't get me again. I'm telling you, man, if
- 5:27Speaker 1: God got you through it, it's done. Move on. You
- 5:32Speaker 1: have got to move on. I use this analogy all
- 5:35Speaker 1: the time. I'm gonna add a little bit to it.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Bishop Jake's told me you cannot drive your car looking
- 5:45Speaker 1: in the rear view mirror. I was talking to a
- 5:50Speaker 1: young singer yesterday who I ran up into and man,
- 5:54Speaker 1: let me tell you something. This this this analogy or
- 5:59Speaker 1: I told of him. We had about twenty minute conversational.
- 6:03Speaker 1: See you know what your rear view mirror is actually
- 6:05Speaker 1: for in your car. I was just tripping on this
- 6:07Speaker 1: one day. Actually, your rear view mirror is designed and
- 6:15Speaker 1: this is what I use it for. After I pass
- 6:18Speaker 1: a car and I want to emerge into that lane
- 6:23Speaker 1: or I want to make another move, I look up
- 6:29Speaker 1: in the rear view mirror, and all I use it
- 6:32Speaker 1: for it shows me that I've gotten past it. I've
- 6:37Speaker 1: gotten past the vehicle I was passing, and I got
- 6:40Speaker 1: enough room not clear, to make my next move. That's
- 6:43Speaker 1: what I used my rear view mirror for. I used
- 6:46Speaker 1: my rear view mirror to just glance up every now
- 6:49Speaker 1: and then to see what's coming up on me. That's
- 6:54Speaker 1: all I use it for. The rear view mirror when
- 6:58Speaker 1: you're passing through something. Listen to me real close now.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Your rear view mirror on your car is after you're
- 7:06Speaker 1: passing something or you're passing by something, you can look
- 7:11Speaker 1: up in the rear view mirror and it lets you
- 7:13Speaker 1: know you're past it, You're beyond it. It's clear. Now
- 7:18Speaker 1: it's in the past. You no longer have to deal
- 7:21Speaker 1: with it as the car that was in front of
- 7:24Speaker 1: you blocking your way. You have passed it. You look
- 7:28Speaker 1: up in the mirror. You've cleared it. Now if you
- 7:31Speaker 1: want to switch lanes, you could slide on over. You
- 7:35Speaker 1: got room. But that rear view mirror also lets you
- 7:38Speaker 1: see if anything is coming up on you, and you
- 7:41Speaker 1: just need to glance, because if you're moving forward, ain't
- 7:45Speaker 1: a whole lot can come up on you. You just
- 7:47Speaker 1: glancing every now and then, and it reminds you that
- 7:50Speaker 1: you got through something and you got beyond something. That's
- 7:53Speaker 1: what the rear view mirror for. Now. Let's talk about
- 7:56Speaker 1: that windshield while you think that when you're so big
- 8:00Speaker 1: on your car, that's the biggest window on your car.
- 8:06Speaker 1: You know why the wind shield so big because it's
- 8:10Speaker 1: where you're going. Because even the automobile makers want you
- 8:15Speaker 1: to have a wide view of where you're going so
- 8:19Speaker 1: you can see what's up ahead. They put lights on
- 8:22Speaker 1: the car night so you can have night vision and
- 8:25Speaker 1: see what's up ahead. But you can, oh, man, uh
- 8:29Speaker 1: see not? Why is that? Look? Think about that now?
- 8:32Speaker 1: For I move forward with this one. Think about that
- 8:35Speaker 1: wind shield, man, why is that wind shields so big
- 8:38Speaker 1: so you can see where you're going. It's way more
- 8:41Speaker 1: important where you're going than where you're being, don't you
- 8:45Speaker 1: see that. That's why the rear view mirror is so small,
- 8:49Speaker 1: because it is nowhere. There's important as it is as
- 8:52Speaker 1: to where you're going, why you're being. Just allows you
- 8:56Speaker 1: to take a glance so you can make sure you
- 8:58Speaker 1: clear it, so you can see if it's room enough
- 9:00Speaker 1: for you to make your next move, so you can
- 9:02Speaker 1: know that you've gone through it and go head on
- 9:04Speaker 1: about your business. But that windshield, that windshield is for
- 9:09Speaker 1: vision a man without a dream of visions your parish.
- 9:12Speaker 1: That windshield is for somebody going somewhere. That windshielding for
- 9:16Speaker 1: somebody else there trying to make another move. I'm gonna
- 9:20Speaker 1: go right, I'm on left. I'm gonna get off on
- 9:21Speaker 1: this exit. I'm gonna take this d too. I'm gonna
- 9:23Speaker 1: handle it signed as a new route. There's only so
- 9:26Speaker 1: many miles left to go. That's what the wind shield got.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Let me tell you something, man, when you see a
- 9:32Speaker 1: mile signed, you're driving on the freeway, you're on the interstate,
- 9:34Speaker 1: and you let's say you're driving to a particular city
- 9:37Speaker 1: and you see a sign that says that city is
- 9:40Speaker 1: thirty eight hunting thirty eight miles away. That lets you
- 9:44Speaker 1: know where you're going and you're on the right path now.
- 9:47Speaker 1: If you keep looking in the rear view mirror, you'll
- 9:50Speaker 1: never know how close you are. You'll never know because
- 9:57Speaker 1: you're driving your car. Look in the reverview mirror. You
- 9:58Speaker 1: all on the shoulder. You hear them rocks up under
- 10:01Speaker 1: your car. You have scared yourself to death because you
- 10:03Speaker 1: know why, because you keep looking in the rear view mirror.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Get out the rear view mirror. If God got you through,
- 10:10Speaker 1: it is done. Move on, So what he so what?
- 10:16Speaker 1: He don't love you know more? And man, let's move on.
- 10:21Speaker 1: If God got you through, it is done. Move on.
- 10:25Speaker 1: God got something for you. If you get out your
- 10:27Speaker 1: rear view mirror and get up in that windshield. God's
- 10:31Speaker 1: got something for your upp ahead. But you can't see
- 10:34Speaker 1: what's up ahead because you in that rear view mirror.
- 10:36Speaker 1: If God got you through, it is done. Let's move on.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Come on, y'all, don't let the past beat you up.
- 10:44Speaker 1: That's the ingredients in the cake. You made that already,
- 10:47Speaker 1: that's done. Let's go God. Look in the windshield. See
- 10:50Speaker 1: what God Mother got something new for you. If you
- 10:52Speaker 1: get out the rear view mirror and look, open up
- 10:54Speaker 1: your eyes and see all right, let's go today morning
- 11:00Speaker 1: show all the blood shot that comes from playing by
- 11:29Speaker 1: yourself a lot, got that kind of energy. Yeah, dog,
- 11:33Speaker 1: I was trained or conductor. Everybody. I'm just saying, well,
- 11:39Speaker 1: you know, somebody had to see the train coming you
- 11:41Speaker 1: at the headlights. Anyway, I might have been the train,
- 11:46Speaker 1: but you was that big light men with them bug eyes.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Oh lord, who come to train must be trying to star. Hey,
- 11:59Speaker 1: good morning, Steve. I got it for you. Calling for
- 12:04Speaker 1: happy Halloween, every bob here boy today my Halloween costool,
- 12:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna be out. It's gonna be one or saw
- 12:15Speaker 1: it last Yeah, it's gonna be one day pimping. It's
- 12:23Speaker 1: gonna be at the Halloween Paul, Yeah, Pemper coming out.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Oh you gotta get some pimping pitchers tonight then I
- 12:32Speaker 1: need Yeah, we can't wait. Don't worry. I'm take them
- 12:36Speaker 1: all during the day. I'm doing it for the grand kids, Tommy,
- 12:38Speaker 1: and it on for about two hours. Hold up your
- 12:43Speaker 1: what what did you just say? What what did you
- 12:47Speaker 1: just say? Your pimpings coming out and working for the
- 12:49Speaker 1: grandkids Halloween party today. Okay, nothing about that statement sounds
- 12:55Speaker 1: strange to you. Nothing about that statement bothering me. Am
- 12:59Speaker 1: I the only one could be possible. No one has
- 13:03Speaker 1: anything to say he's going to be a pimp in
- 13:05Speaker 1: front of his grand Listen to me. It was Marjorie's
- 13:09Speaker 1: ideal for them to call me papa. I said from
- 13:13Speaker 1: the very beginning, I ain't want to be called papa.
- 13:17Speaker 1: She no, No, I ain't wanna be Papa. I wanted
- 13:21Speaker 1: to be big pimper for your grandkids to call you. Well,
- 13:26Speaker 1: she fought me on that. She won't. She didn't want
- 13:32Speaker 1: the girls to call me that. Now I understand that,
- 13:34Speaker 1: but I don't see why the boys be j and
- 13:37Speaker 1: Noah couldn't. I can't be big pimper. So Marjorie's with
- 13:41Speaker 1: me on this idea. Okay, so now she is, Yeah
- 13:45Speaker 1: she was, so, now you're gonna be pimping for the grandkids. Now, yeah,
- 13:50Speaker 1: they got to meet pimper. The only one. Okay, you
- 13:55Speaker 1: dot ain't been around. Were stunned. This is around. We
- 14:05Speaker 1: ain't from Cleveland. That's got something to do with it.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Neither grow up, educate yourself. They was all at my
- 14:11Speaker 1: mom and funeral. They can't come to the Halloween, Paul,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I don't think that wrong. Man, you're comfort about with
- 14:19Speaker 1: your decision. Man, I'm talking about what you have pictures.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna take all the kids, gonna be on my lap. Two.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I'm talking about he fly to boys. All right, Well, listen,
- 14:33Speaker 1: we have a lot of news to discuss today. We
- 14:35Speaker 1: got more Halloween stuff to talk about, and we'll do
- 14:38Speaker 1: all that right after this. Uh. Coming up at thirty
- 14:42Speaker 1: two after the hour you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Miss Anne
- 14:49Speaker 1: will be here. She's gonna discuss, of course, today's national news. Yesterday,
- 14:53Speaker 1: residents protested President Trump's visit to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh Steelers Ben
- 14:59Speaker 1: Rothenburger head coach Mike Tomlin, along with several other Steelers players,
- 15:03Speaker 1: attended funeral services as the entire city of Pittsburgh seems
- 15:07Speaker 1: to be rallying around the victims and their families, the
- 15:10Speaker 1: victor of that horrendous um shooting uh at the at
- 15:17Speaker 1: the synagogue on Saturday. You know, you know, when they
- 15:21Speaker 1: don't want you to come to the funeral, that's not
- 15:23Speaker 1: a good sign. But that was talking the White House
- 15:26Speaker 1: about him not attending because it was too early. They're
- 15:30Speaker 1: burying people and they didn't want him there, Why do you?
- 15:38Speaker 1: Because he doesn't have any sensibility as a human being.
- 15:43Speaker 1: He doesn't understand sensibility. He has done what he's wanted
- 15:48Speaker 1: to do his entire life, and nobody could stop him.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I'm telling you, some people told him you can't go
- 15:55Speaker 1: down there. I'm going down There's defiant. Yeah, because he
- 16:00Speaker 1: don't see he don't see nothing wrong with what he does,
- 16:03Speaker 1: no compassion, and no time. He often doubles, doubles down
- 16:08Speaker 1: on everything. Well, you need to do what I did yesterday.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I've voted, baby, That's what I do. That makes all
- 16:16Speaker 1: of us were all show has fulfilled the obligation and
- 16:25Speaker 1: duty as citizens. We are committed to bringing about effective
- 16:30Speaker 1: change in this country. And if you are not, don't
- 16:34Speaker 1: think that something has to change. Is something wrong with you?
- 16:39Speaker 1: It really really is. Even if you're a Republican, which
- 16:42Speaker 1: I have no problem with. You can be a Republican.
- 16:45Speaker 1: But oh my goodness, man, can you just openly admit
- 16:50Speaker 1: that this guy is probably the most non presidential president
- 16:55Speaker 1: we've ever had, and that you should say, I'm really
- 16:59Speaker 1: embed haris by some of the things he said or done.
- 17:04Speaker 1: And if you can't find it in your heart if
- 17:06Speaker 1: you think everything he said it is a okay, I
- 17:10Speaker 1: have bad news for you. There's something wrong with you too,
- 17:14Speaker 1: because I don't care who you are. You you have
- 17:17Speaker 1: to know that this type of rhetoric is wrong for
- 17:21Speaker 1: the country. It's divisive. I god that you picked the
- 17:25Speaker 1: economy up. I've got you bought jobs back. If that's
- 17:29Speaker 1: what you want to get credit for, let's give him
- 17:31Speaker 1: that credit. But you're also gonna have to take the
- 17:33Speaker 1: credit for the other stuff. And this divisiveness. These neo
- 17:38Speaker 1: Nazis and clans and the skin heads being able to
- 17:41Speaker 1: walk bravely like they got somebody who reflects their thought process.
- 17:46Speaker 1: You got white nationalists walking around coming out like they've
- 17:49Speaker 1: never come out before because they think they have a
- 17:53Speaker 1: person that speaks to them. And it's starting to sound
- 17:57Speaker 1: like the base. And when I and when I watch
- 18:00Speaker 1: a Trump rally, you know, man, look, I got this
- 18:03Speaker 1: is your guy. But you cannot be in agreement with
- 18:06Speaker 1: everything he says. If that's the case, we're in trouble. Yeah,
- 18:12Speaker 1: And none of none other, none of the other Republicans
- 18:15Speaker 1: are speaking out when they see something wrong or when
- 18:18Speaker 1: they don't agree with him. They're they're remaining silent. They
- 18:22Speaker 1: accompany him yesterday to Pittsburgh. Some of them they said
- 18:25Speaker 1: it was at the right time. No, they know, Paul,
- 18:28Speaker 1: thank god, thank god they did. They're burying people. This
- 18:34Speaker 1: ain't the time for the president and they're angry with
- 18:37Speaker 1: his rhetoric and for you to turn around and turn
- 18:40Speaker 1: this into the media's fault. The fake news is bringing
- 18:45Speaker 1: this about. Man. That's an ugly thing to say. And
- 18:49Speaker 1: if you think that that's a okay, I'm telling you, man,
- 18:53Speaker 1: there's something wrong with you. You gotta check yourself. Now. Look,
- 18:58Speaker 1: I'm like this. He's the forty the president. We can't
- 19:02Speaker 1: do anything about that, except on November six, we have
- 19:08Speaker 1: a chance to make a statement and send a clear
- 19:12Speaker 1: message to the White House that we will not sit
- 19:15Speaker 1: by and idly allow you to run your policies and
- 19:20Speaker 1: your rhetoric down our throat like this is indicative of
- 19:24Speaker 1: how all of us feel, because it's not man, it's
- 19:28Speaker 1: just not. I'm sorry, man, I can't believe that this
- 19:32Speaker 1: country has so turned away from electing Barack Obama to
- 19:37Speaker 1: turn it around to accepting the rhetoric that you're putting
- 19:40Speaker 1: out to turn from a man who did nothing but
- 19:43Speaker 1: try to reach across the island unify the country and
- 19:46Speaker 1: did a good job of it. That you all are
- 19:48Speaker 1: so hateful that you're gonna refuse all of those advancements
- 19:54Speaker 1: to go back to making America great again. I'm sorry.
- 19:59Speaker 1: If you to just said let's make America great, I'm
- 20:02Speaker 1: okay with it. But when you say make America great again,
- 20:06Speaker 1: that concerns me with what time period you're trying to
- 20:10Speaker 1: take us back to, because I don't remember no time
- 20:13Speaker 1: in my past I want to go back to now. Nope,
- 20:18Speaker 1: I was a kid in six I was. I was
- 20:22Speaker 1: twelve years old and six simness mm hmm, teenager, teenager,
- 20:28Speaker 1: college student. No, so I didn't want that. Well, like
- 20:33Speaker 1: Steve says, eighties homeless, Oh, I really don't want to
- 20:37Speaker 1: come back there, nineties, second marriage, what they got to
- 20:45Speaker 1: do with time and all the stuff up now talking
- 20:54Speaker 1: about movement? All right, So, like Steve said, if you're
- 21:01Speaker 1: sick of the hate and the division in this country,
- 21:03Speaker 1: please get out and vote This Tuesday, November six, that
- 21:06Speaker 1: is election day. We need you to show up and vote. Yes,
- 21:11Speaker 1: all right, switching gears. Today is Halloween. Happy Halloween, everyone, Yeah,
- 21:15Speaker 1: Happy HALLOWEENA coming coming up next, It is the Nephew
- 21:23Speaker 1: and he'll run that brank back. Right after this, you're
- 21:26Speaker 1: listening to The Steven Show. Coming up in about thirty minutes.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Tony Braxton, the One and Only, will be our special guests.
- 21:34Speaker 1: She's going to talk about her upcoming tour and we'll
- 21:38Speaker 1: also talk to her about Beyonce channeling Tony Braxton's album
- 21:42Speaker 1: cover for Halloween. Also, Yeah, that was really cute, wasn't it?
- 21:46Speaker 1: It was so cute? Also, get ready for this top
- 21:50Speaker 1: story in entertainment news, Kanye West says he has been
- 21:55Speaker 1: used and he's breaking away from the president and distancing
- 21:59Speaker 1: distancing himself from politics altogether. But the boy got his
- 22:05Speaker 1: medication back. Look at your boy first. The host are
- 22:08Speaker 1: ready to love. It is the Nephew here with run
- 22:11Speaker 1: that breakback? What you got, nep Host? You in my house?
- 22:16Speaker 1: You in my house? No? Now, this one ain't scary.

- 22:43Speaker 1: They this is this I'm Preston. Man. Listen, I'm on
- 22:47Speaker 1: my way to the house. I'm about two hours out.

- 22:52Speaker 1: You let me get up on your way to what

- 28:01Speaker 1: I tell you what you better call kids? He didn't
- 28:04Speaker 1: because you don't. He told me to tell you what
- 28:06Speaker 1: you mean? What you say? Do you know what these
- 28:08Speaker 1: tears they are told me to tell you. See you
- 28:10Speaker 1: want that, you're gonna tell me whatever kids they're told me.
- 28:12Speaker 1: But I tell you one, they ain't moving out my
- 28:14Speaker 1: now today. I'm telling you that right now ain't gonna
- 28:17Speaker 1: be no moving out here, he said, with tears there
- 28:19Speaker 1: told you to say. I'm gonna tell you to hear
- 28:20Speaker 1: what tiars there told me to tell you. Tear then
- 28:23Speaker 1: told me to tell you that this is next you
- 28:26Speaker 1: time me from the Steve Harvard Morning Show. Troy your
- 28:30Speaker 1: wife and tears there got me to break phone call
- 28:33Speaker 1: you so this one book some some book, yes, And
- 28:45Speaker 1: then I didn't put my pains on boot song. I'm waiting.

- 29:04Speaker 1: They're sure. I gotta ask you for I go, man,
- 29:06Speaker 1: what is the baddest and I'm talking about the baddest
- 29:08Speaker 1: radio show in the lane? Steve Harvest? How y'all feel
- 29:16Speaker 1: about that? Right there? You're in my house. You played
- 29:19Speaker 1: too much telling that anybody anybody want concerned, just feels
- 29:28Speaker 1: about you, not concerned. Just feel stupid, just feel you know,
- 29:32Speaker 1: let's just stupid bone. Let's just stupid bone. Breathe every
- 29:36Speaker 1: daw stupid bone. Yeah, your brain, your bone, your back,
- 29:45Speaker 1: see what you're talking about? It like it's a damn bone.
- 29:49Speaker 1: But we get that bone took out. Remove man, it's
- 29:57Speaker 1: just as important as your vertebrate. No, no, I can't
- 30:01Speaker 1: wait till they jump on your saying he just got
- 30:06Speaker 1: that show. All right, Well listen, thank you. NEV. Coming
- 30:10Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, Kanye says he's
- 30:14Speaker 1: been used and he's breaking away from Donald Trump. Our president.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Show. Coming up
- 30:24Speaker 1: in twenty minutes, Tony Braxton will be our very special guest.
- 30:28Speaker 1: She's going to talk about her tour and how cool
- 30:30Speaker 1: it is that Beyonce the Queen uh is channeling her
- 30:36Speaker 1: another love song, that epic album cover, remember that look
- 30:40Speaker 1: for it Halloween? Okay, that's today, But first in entertainment,
- 30:44Speaker 1: make sure I'll say nothing when Tony to come on here.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Please please Michell say that? And how do you propose
- 30:50Speaker 1: that we do that muzzle on you? What? Okay, you
- 30:54Speaker 1: just cut the mike just in it? Can you tell
- 30:57Speaker 1: us which bone is stupid? Well? You just said from
- 31:02Speaker 1: head to toast? All right, Well, Kanye is in the news.
- 31:10Speaker 1: He says, Wow, this is big from Kanye. He says
- 31:13Speaker 1: he's been used by people to spread political messages and
- 31:17Speaker 1: he's now done with it. Kanye fired off a series
- 31:20Speaker 1: of tweets, apparently distancing himself from Donald Trump and the
- 31:25Speaker 1: mega movement that make Make America Great movement. Kanye says,
- 31:29Speaker 1: my eyes are now wide open, and I now realize
- 31:33Speaker 1: I've been used to spread messages I don't believe in.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on
- 31:41Speaker 1: being creative. Well he was, he would being used in
- 31:47Speaker 1: that's what he just said. Yes, well she One of
- 31:50Speaker 1: the reasons is this woman who's got this movement called blacks,
- 31:54Speaker 1: wants all these blacks to denounce the Democratic Party and
- 31:58Speaker 1: move on to the Republican Party. Here's the problem. What
- 32:04Speaker 1: can you tell me that the conservative movement offers to
- 32:10Speaker 1: black people, Latinos, and any anybody of color. Show me what,
- 32:18Speaker 1: show me really what it offers anybody that serves their value.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Because what I'm hearing from them right now, it's build
- 32:29Speaker 1: a wall, stop the dreamers, a Muslim band. This is
- 32:34Speaker 1: what I'm hearing. You know, there's good people on both sides.
- 32:39Speaker 1: This is what I'm hearing. What is good for black
- 32:45Speaker 1: people in that party right now? Just show me. Now,
- 32:51Speaker 1: if you're rich, I see it. But if you're not rich,
- 32:56Speaker 1: which is a majority of my people, what do they do?
- 33:00Speaker 1: I don't see it. Man, you're talking about the blacks.
- 33:03Speaker 1: It for what? Go and be a Republican or a
- 33:07Speaker 1: conservative for what? Help me? Well, you remember when he
- 33:13Speaker 1: was running president and then Canada, Trump said what do
- 33:16Speaker 1: you have to lose? When he talked to the black
- 33:18Speaker 1: people he said, what do you have to lose? No,
- 33:20Speaker 1: that's not the question. The question is what do you gain?
- 33:24Speaker 1: See this ain't about to know what I got to lose?
- 33:27Speaker 1: Hell my dignity. Yeah, we'd already lost. We ain't trying
- 33:31Speaker 1: to lose. What do we win? When do we get
- 33:34Speaker 1: to win something? Quit saying what do you have to lose?
- 33:37Speaker 1: We've lost our young men to police violence out here.
- 33:42Speaker 1: We've lost our right to vote out here. We've lost
- 33:46Speaker 1: the right to eat at lunch counters, ride on buses,
- 33:49Speaker 1: our right to walk down the street. We've lost or
- 33:53Speaker 1: everything you can lose, our dignity, ability to go to
- 33:56Speaker 1: the school of our choice, we've lost all that, to
- 33:59Speaker 1: live where you want to live, to work where we
- 34:01Speaker 1: want to work. We've done enough losing. What do we win?
- 34:06Speaker 1: Great question by voting for you? What do we win?
- 34:09Speaker 1: We're talking to us about lawsuit? Came Nobody talked to
- 34:12Speaker 1: us about losses. That's your better question, were the King
- 34:14Speaker 1: of Queens of lawsues? We got the record, and we
- 34:17Speaker 1: don't how to hanging there better than anybody. You can't
- 34:20Speaker 1: hanging there? Better that you got that? What's hanging were
- 34:27Speaker 1: hanging there? Got it? Yeah? All right? Steve. Let's move
- 34:31Speaker 1: on to the headlines. Pleaslaies and gentlemen, missa and trip.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Thank you everybody. This is a trip with the news. Well.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Vigils continue and cities across the country this week and
- 34:41Speaker 1: the wake of the massacre of eleven worshippers in the
- 34:43Speaker 1: Pittsburgh synagogue, there were four funerals in steel Town yesterday,
- 34:46Speaker 1: with seven expected in the coming days. You let shooting
- 34:49Speaker 1: mean while has been charged with eleven counts of murder
- 34:52Speaker 1: as well as some other charges of the President of
- 34:54Speaker 1: his family were in Pittsburgh yesterday meeting with some victims families.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Some other victims families did not want to be around him,
- 35:01Speaker 1: and they were about a thousand or so protesters out
- 35:04Speaker 1: there screaming at him and saying that he was the
- 35:06Speaker 1: pun who was responsible for this kind of racist action
- 35:10Speaker 1: against Jews and against this and against blacks, as evidence
- 35:13Speaker 1: in the shooting and knduct in Kentucky. Also because of
- 35:17Speaker 1: his divisive atone, President Trump, by the way, now wants
- 35:20Speaker 1: to put an end to US birthright law, which gives
- 35:22Speaker 1: automatic citizenship to any person born on US soil. The
- 35:25Speaker 1: birth right provision constitutes the Fourteenth Amendment and was meant
- 35:29Speaker 1: to apply to Black Americans who up till then were
- 35:31Speaker 1: born here but not considered citizens. However, Trump claims that
- 35:34Speaker 1: illegal immigrants have been taken advantage of the law for years,
- 35:37Speaker 1: having babies here just to gain citizenship, and he told
- 35:40Speaker 1: Axios News on HBO he wants something done about it
- 35:43Speaker 1: through an executive order. The only country in the world
- 35:46Speaker 1: where a person comes in has a baby and the
- 35:49Speaker 1: baby is essentially a citizen of the United States for
- 35:51Speaker 1: eighty five years, with all of those benefits. It's ridiculous.
- 35:54Speaker 1: It's ridiculous, and it has to end. Actually, this is
- 35:57Speaker 1: another example of Trump having his facts wrong. The majority
- 36:00Speaker 1: of countries around the world do not allow for automatic
- 36:03Speaker 1: birthright citizenship, that is true, but thirty countries do, among
- 36:06Speaker 1: them Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and of course the US. Meanwhile,
- 36:11Speaker 1: legal experts are questioning Trump's legal authority to limit what
- 36:14Speaker 1: is a constitutional guarantee without the consent of Congress. But
- 36:18Speaker 1: with the mid term elections only a week away, that
- 36:20Speaker 1: may not be a problem, with now South Carolina Republican
- 36:22Speaker 1: Senator Lindsey Graham saying he's ready to sponsor just such
- 36:26Speaker 1: a birthright elimination built in the Congress and what he
- 36:29Speaker 1: hopes to remain a GOP controlled House of Representatives and Senate.
- 36:34Speaker 1: The Office of the man investigating Russia's possible ties of
- 36:37Speaker 1: Donald Trump's presidential campaign, Robert Miller investigating allegations that women
- 36:41Speaker 1: have been offered money to falsely accuse him of sexual harassment.
- 36:44Speaker 1: President Trump has repeatedly maligned and threatened to fire Mueller.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Upon learning of the alleged plot, Muller's team readily referred
- 36:50Speaker 1: to Math to the FBI. The infamous mob boss Whitey
- 36:54Speaker 1: Bulger found dead in to Sell yesterday, just one day
- 36:57Speaker 1: after he was transferred to a West Virginia lock up.
- 37:00Speaker 1: I thought he said was homicide. They say he was
- 37:02Speaker 1: beaten to death and a guy Rish gangster was on
- 37:04Speaker 1: the land for sixteen years following up on the tip
- 37:06Speaker 1: was captured in California, inn. He was eighty nine years old.
- 37:11Speaker 1: And finally, it's not only Halloween, but it's also appropriately enough,
- 37:14Speaker 1: I would say National doorbell Day tick a dry Stevie
- 37:21Speaker 1: Harvey Nation find out if Uncle Steve Smart and his
- 37:23Speaker 1: nephew back in twenty minutes after the hour of Steve

- 38:50Speaker 1: we work for a garage and the idea chain in
- 38:52Speaker 1: our heads bailis this year and we made it happen.
- 38:55Speaker 1: I mean it took a took a couple of months
- 38:57Speaker 1: or six months to make it happen, thinking minutes, but
- 38:59Speaker 1: here we are. I'm looking forward to, you know, just
- 39:02Speaker 1: just a little five six free tour is going to
- 39:04Speaker 1: go to ufn ort to come back. But I'm looking
- 39:07Speaker 1: forward to a victory is my favorite things. But I
- 39:09Speaker 1: loved you, you know, performance, my audience, and I could
- 39:11Speaker 1: be that's my name, and I'm looking forward to it. Yeah,
- 39:15Speaker 1: you're You're great and concept Tony. You know, we love
- 39:17Speaker 1: you wherever we can get you. We love you on stage,
- 39:22Speaker 1: on record, wherever. But I gotta ask you this, um.
- 39:26Speaker 1: You know, you've been an inspiration to so many people,
- 39:29Speaker 1: and uh it was evidenced today by Beyonce. She paid
- 39:33Speaker 1: homage to you by dressing like you. Tony Braxton h
- 39:38Speaker 1: for Halloween yesterday. Yeah, yeah, that was the Hope the
- 39:43Speaker 1: first album. The first inside of the photo shoot, I
- 39:47Speaker 1: was I was proud of the big sisters of the
- 39:50Speaker 1: girls and a baby sisters agent doing her thing. I'm
- 39:53Speaker 1: so proud of her imp so I thought it was
- 39:56Speaker 1: a shout out and she looks just like you. Though
- 39:59Speaker 1: you had a. You ain't got to say that right now.
- 40:09Speaker 1: I'll tell you right now now, you ain't got to
- 40:11Speaker 1: say that, and nothing wrong with you, Yeah Beyonce, Fine,
- 40:14Speaker 1: but please understand laying it. I got the first album,

- 40:57Speaker 1: be hot. She's got s w V with them and

- 41:51Speaker 1: Tawanda Braxton, and Michael Jah White. Tell us about the move,
- 41:58Speaker 1: there's a lot of from Michell in Canada's but it's
- 42:00Speaker 1: schools to be like at my manager. So, you know,
- 42:02Speaker 1: Michael played a kind of a love interest. I don't
- 42:05Speaker 1: want to get the story away, you know. I never
- 42:07Speaker 1: had to do a real, you know, kind of kissing scene.
- 42:09Speaker 1: That was a little weird because Michael God kind of
- 42:11Speaker 1: like my cousin. He's like this cont relatives for real.
- 42:14Speaker 1: So my Mom's like, I just find it just kissing curtains, Like,
- 42:17Speaker 1: just don't feel right, Mama. Yeah, he's just a relative
- 42:23Speaker 1: of ours and talks Carolina. So it was weird just
- 42:25Speaker 1: in my cousins who knew that. Yeah, now, what was
- 42:31Speaker 1: Harvey about to say that? What would you finish it?
- 42:33Speaker 1: Just say it was yeah, you hettle eyes. Cousins was
- 42:42Speaker 1: low down the line. But still when you hear the
- 42:44Speaker 1: words your lady, yeah kind of way, you know. Yeah, See, Tommy,

- 43:09Speaker 1: I got a three deal with Lifetime and that was
- 43:11Speaker 1: one of the first projects we did. I was really
- 43:13Speaker 1: proud of the game One to Me Queen the Teeth,
- 43:15Speaker 1: So we got three picture deal. So that was the
- 43:17Speaker 1: first project I thought would be fun to introduce Christie congratulations. Yeah,
- 43:22Speaker 1: that's awesome. Than Yeah. They wanted me to play the
- 43:27Speaker 1: part of Michael jack White, but I was too did
- 43:31Speaker 1: I was too old. And when I took my shirt off,
- 43:34Speaker 1: we didn't looked at say true took our shirt off.
- 43:42Speaker 1: We were standing the out going down. Don't put your
- 43:44Speaker 1: shirt on, man, give a brother shot. You don't know
- 43:51Speaker 1: what to say to that dude. I have nothing, she
- 43:55Speaker 1: has no words. I got all right though. Right after
- 43:58Speaker 1: I lost the role, I went on on to the bank.
- 44:04Speaker 1: I feel a little better about myself. Bank. Hey, girl,
- 44:11Speaker 1: So listen to me, Tony. We are looking forward to

- 45:41Speaker 1: phone call. What do you have for us today? Surely
- 45:44Speaker 1: this hasn't happened to well, it has This happened to
- 45:47Speaker 1: one person on this show. The title is Garnish your wages,
- 45:53Speaker 1: Garnish your wages? Who we all? If you throw a rock?
- 46:03Speaker 1: Look what happens here? You know his way? He's just
- 46:07Speaker 1: been hit. Dog holler? Yes, you talking my long time ago? Yeah?
- 46:15Speaker 1: Do you think it hurt then? Though? Didn't he? That's
- 46:20Speaker 1: one of my favorites right there. A week got my check.
- 46:25Speaker 1: God got through it better days. I was thinking about
- 46:34Speaker 1: killing the credits called allegedly you better use my word.
- 46:40Speaker 1: That's what I just did. A here it is, God
- 46:42Speaker 1: is your way. I'm trying to reach a y'all. My
- 46:48Speaker 1: name is Uh from the District Attorney's office. Hi. How
- 46:52Speaker 1: are you giving you a call today? Man? I'm trying
- 46:54Speaker 1: to get some updates from you. Your husband, Mr? Is
- 46:57Speaker 1: he uh still not working at this point? Okay? How
- 47:03Speaker 1: long has he been out of work so far? Ma'am?
- 47:05Speaker 1: Could you could you give me an update on this? Okay?
- 47:10Speaker 1: All right, here's what we're having the problems that we're having.
- 47:12Speaker 1: You have a son, Um I think it's his name
- 47:16Speaker 1: is as well, fourteen years old? Am I right? Okay?
- 47:20Speaker 1: The child support is not being paid from Mr. For
- 47:25Speaker 1: the for Mr. Young, and we're trying to get this
- 47:28Speaker 1: thing rectified. Now. The problem that we're gonna have, and
- 47:31Speaker 1: the reason why we're giving you a call is considering
- 47:34Speaker 1: that your your husband hasn't worked since the first of
- 47:36Speaker 1: the year. And I haven't done the research yet. I'm
- 47:38Speaker 1: just I'm just now pulling up your file. I haven't
- 47:41Speaker 1: done the research to see how many months in the
- 47:43Speaker 1: rears he is on child support. But he lost his child, Okay, Well,
- 47:51Speaker 1: the problem that we're we're going to have is they're
- 47:53Speaker 1: gonna start taking uh child support actually, and I hate
- 47:58Speaker 1: to give you this news out of your check until
- 48:01Speaker 1: I don't understand how that self, because I have my
- 48:03Speaker 1: own kids. I understand, but they're gonna be garnishing your check,
- 48:07Speaker 1: ma'am until this until your husband can get this thing
- 48:10Speaker 1: back on its feet and get it rectified and get
- 48:12Speaker 1: him up to parts for of all the payments that
- 48:14Speaker 1: are hurt and when taking place, because if that's the case,
- 48:17Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be working because that's not gonna happen.
- 48:21Speaker 1: I have my own children, so I don't understand how that's.
- 48:24Speaker 1: So I don't don't have anything to do with child
- 48:26Speaker 1: for it or anything like that. And if that's the case,
- 48:28Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be working as right now. The garnishing
- 48:31Speaker 1: of the check is gonna come from you and you
- 48:32Speaker 1: are at the hospital. Correct, No, that's not it's not
- 48:36Speaker 1: where you work. I don't. I'm not gonna be working
- 48:38Speaker 1: as of right now. That's what I just teld you.
- 48:41Speaker 1: So y'all do whatever you got to do, and I'll
- 48:42Speaker 1: do whatever I have to do on my inn. Okay, well,
- 48:45Speaker 1: hold on it. You're willing to quit your job, I'm
- 48:46Speaker 1: not understanding this. If you're sure, why, because I'm not
- 48:49Speaker 1: gonna be taking care of someone else's kids and not
- 48:51Speaker 1: have my own. So how that's right? So somebody else
- 48:54Speaker 1: can take care of mines then, because I'm not gonna
- 48:57Speaker 1: be doing it, You're so right? All right? Well, I mean,
- 48:59Speaker 1: I'm just you know, don't I don't want you to
- 49:00Speaker 1: be upset with you. I don't want you to be
- 49:02Speaker 1: upset with me. I can be able to contact you, Okay,
- 49:06Speaker 1: you know I'm gonna I'm gonna let you know this.
- 49:08Speaker 1: It's a bit of information. You're still gonna if you're
- 49:11Speaker 1: quitting your job, man, you guys are still going to
- 49:13Speaker 1: be liable for the child's support. Okay, well that's fine,
- 49:17Speaker 1: not you guys, because it's not my children, sir. Okay,
- 49:20Speaker 1: it's not you guys. He will be liable, okay, because
- 49:25Speaker 1: I mean, can I step one moment because I need
- 49:28Speaker 1: to step outside, that's okay, or there's a number I
- 49:31Speaker 1: can contact you back. Okay, are you able to step
- 49:33Speaker 1: outside right now? Um? Yes, but I'm gonna get on
- 49:36Speaker 1: the elevator and it's gonna kind of okay, let's do this.
- 49:39Speaker 1: Why don't you step outside and I'll wait for you
- 49:42Speaker 1: to call give me about forty five seconds, but I'm
- 49:44Speaker 1: gonna give a call on my manager on this situation. Okay,
- 49:47Speaker 1: please do all right? Thank you? Hello, okay, Mr y
- 49:55Speaker 1: hi again from the District Attorney's office. Okay, you can
- 49:58Speaker 1: hear me now, Yes I can't. Can you hear man? Yes, ma'am,
- 50:00Speaker 1: I sure can. Now, let's get to the bottom of everything.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I couldn't get my manager on the phone, but I'll
- 50:06Speaker 1: keep trying. I just want to know. I mean, that's
- 50:09Speaker 1: I'm just mention. I know you are, and I hate
- 50:12Speaker 1: to be so short with you, but I don't understand
- 50:15Speaker 1: because we're not even getting enough income coming in as
- 50:18Speaker 1: of right now and you're speaking of I have three
- 50:21Speaker 1: children that I'm struggling to take care of all my owners.
- 50:27Speaker 1: But and you're speaking of that, you're going to be
- 50:30Speaker 1: deducted money from gonna share my check for his child worth?
- 50:35Speaker 1: What's your something? What's your name? Man? Who is there
- 50:39Speaker 1: someone else I need to speak with? No, we're on
- 50:41Speaker 1: the phone. I have. That's my sister taken care of me.
- 50:45Speaker 1: We're part of the District Attorney County. Ma'am. Yeah, she office,
- 50:53Speaker 1: the child support service. She works with the child support Okay, man,
- 50:57Speaker 1: speak with you. Let me speak with your sister. Man,
- 51:00Speaker 1: So what do you I mean, how is this going
- 51:02Speaker 1: to be done? Because that's not gonna leave me the
- 51:04Speaker 1: cast to be able to support my own kids, I
- 51:07Speaker 1: mean in my own home. I understand that. You know,
- 51:10Speaker 1: maybe this is a problem with having a person hanging
- 51:13Speaker 1: around person has raised the seat his kids all their life.
- 51:18Speaker 1: This is a jealous mother that decided off the eighteen
- 51:21Speaker 1: years that she wanted to around because that's history, that's
- 51:31Speaker 1: our quart orders. What in the hell is going on
- 51:35Speaker 1: with those people in the background this nephew times it
- 51:40Speaker 1: didn't hit the fan. No, I couldn't get to go

- 55:00Speaker 1: You hold on, We got it for you, all right, Nephew,
- 55:06Speaker 1: Here we go subject. Maybe I was not good enough
- 55:09Speaker 1: for him? Dear Stephen Shirley, I have just wasted three
- 55:13Speaker 1: months of my life with a guy. When we met,
- 55:16Speaker 1: he was my supervisor at work. Shortly after we met,
- 55:20Speaker 1: I got a new job, so we decided to hook
- 55:23Speaker 1: up and see if we could be more than friends.
- 55:26Speaker 1: The first time we went out, we had sex in
- 55:28Speaker 1: his car. After that night, he called and texted me
- 55:32Speaker 1: daily and he wanted to see me as much as
- 55:34Speaker 1: he could. I was really falling for him, and he
- 55:38Speaker 1: told me that I was not his type, but he
- 55:40Speaker 1: just couldn't help how he felt about me. I liked
- 55:43Speaker 1: him so much that when he asked me to change
- 55:46Speaker 1: my appearance for him, I did it. I treat him
- 55:48Speaker 1: to my nails down, started wearing list makeup, and I
- 55:52Speaker 1: stopped wearing weaves and fake eyelashes. I also changed the
- 55:56Speaker 1: way I dressed, so then he told me I was
- 55:58Speaker 1: ready to meet his family. He took me to a
- 56:01Speaker 1: family cookout and I met his mom and dad. When
- 56:04Speaker 1: he introduced me to his two brothers, he joked about
- 56:07Speaker 1: how I had given him an oral treat in his
- 56:09Speaker 1: car on our first date. I was so ashamed, but
- 56:13Speaker 1: I never brought it back up to him. I thought
- 56:16Speaker 1: I was special to him because I met his family. Well.
- 56:19Speaker 1: Fast forward to a week ago when he finally asked
- 56:22Speaker 1: me to spend the night at his house. We ordered dinner,
- 56:25Speaker 1: watch TV, and then had the best night of intimacy
- 56:29Speaker 1: we ever had. The next morning, I left his house
- 56:32Speaker 1: to head to work. By the time I got to work,
- 56:35Speaker 1: I got a text from him stating that he deleted
- 56:37Speaker 1: all of our text, social media messages and everything. He
- 56:42Speaker 1: told me that I should do the same and just
- 56:44Speaker 1: forget about him. He wouldn't respond when I asked him
- 56:47Speaker 1: why I have not heard from him since then. I
- 56:50Speaker 1: can't figure it out. I'm heartbroken. Was I not good
- 56:52Speaker 1: enough for him? First of all? I just I just
- 56:55Speaker 1: hate the fact that, um, you think that that you're
- 56:58Speaker 1: not good enough for someone? Okay, because you are you're enough,
- 57:03Speaker 1: but you don't believe that you you don't know, um
- 57:07Speaker 1: that about yourself, that your self esteem is low or
- 57:11Speaker 1: maybe even non existent. I don't I'm not quite sure
- 57:14Speaker 1: why which one it is. And that's really the problem.
- 57:17Speaker 1: The first time you guys went out, you had sex
- 57:19Speaker 1: in the car, I mean, come on. Uh. Then he
- 57:23Speaker 1: asked you to change and change for him your nails,
- 57:26Speaker 1: your lashes, your makeup so you can meet his family,
- 57:28Speaker 1: and you did that. A more confident woman, you know,
- 57:32Speaker 1: would have asked him some questions about you know, about
- 57:36Speaker 1: that statement that he made to you, or that question
- 57:38Speaker 1: that he asked you to change. She would have asked
- 57:40Speaker 1: him more questions if she changed for him at all. Okay,
- 57:44Speaker 1: And then the disrespect he showed when he told his
- 57:47Speaker 1: brothers um, just out in the open at the party
- 57:50Speaker 1: about the oral treats you gave him on the first date.
- 57:53Speaker 1: So so you gotta stop this, I mean, where's your confidence?
- 57:58Speaker 1: Your your self love? You know you you can't let
- 58:00Speaker 1: any man treat you like this. You have to stand
- 58:02Speaker 1: up for yourself. That's why your heart broken, because you
- 58:06Speaker 1: know he got what he wanted for as long as
- 58:07Speaker 1: he wanted it. And then he dropped you. So I
- 58:11Speaker 1: gotta tell you. The takeaway for you from this is
- 58:13Speaker 1: just to know that you are worth much more, that
- 58:16Speaker 1: you have value, and you can't let yourself be put
- 58:19Speaker 1: in these kinds of situations and taking advantage of like this.
- 58:22Speaker 1: You can't do that to yourself. And why he deleted
- 58:25Speaker 1: it and all that. You know, maybe he lives with
- 58:27Speaker 1: someone and she's coming back, uh to the house, you know,
- 58:32Speaker 1: maybe she's been on vacation or something. Steve, Wow, very
- 58:39Speaker 1: cute the way you phrased issue. Let's stop being cute here,
- 58:44Speaker 1: you already okay, come on subject. Maybe I wasn't good
- 58:49Speaker 1: enough for it? You what you know Shellley talking about
- 58:53Speaker 1: I'm saying you feel like what you wasn't you wasn't
- 58:57Speaker 1: good enough for him. You know why, because you acted
- 59:00Speaker 1: like you weren't good enough for him. You say, you
- 59:03Speaker 1: just wasted three months of your life with a guy.
- 59:06Speaker 1: I haven't told you all about the ninety day rule,
- 59:09Speaker 1: but now you jammed all this up in ninety days.
- 59:13Speaker 1: What none of the air posts happened to after the
- 59:14Speaker 1: damn ninety days? Old but old Steve old as Steve
- 59:18Speaker 1: don't know what the hell he talked about? Okay, so
- 59:20Speaker 1: let's go down to the letter. We met. He was
- 59:23Speaker 1: my supervisor work. Shortly after we met, I got a
- 59:26Speaker 1: new job. We decided to hook up if we could
- 59:29Speaker 1: be more than friends. First time we went out, we
- 59:32Speaker 1: had sex in his car. Maybe I wasn't good enough
- 59:38Speaker 1: fun It wasn't you're grown woman. You're having sex in
- 59:43Speaker 1: the car for you've grown this teenage mess. I ain't
- 59:50Speaker 1: saying just teenagers have it. But you want to be
- 59:52Speaker 1: treated like mo, you gotta act like more. After that night,
- 59:58Speaker 1: he called me and text me day he wanted to
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: see me as much as he could. I was falling
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: for him. He told me I was not his type.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: What you hadn't been with the girl all up in
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: the car, but now all of a sudden, you tell her.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: You got the audacity to tell this woman you're not
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: my type. I guess I wasn't good enough for him.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: You ain't his type. But he just couldn't help how
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: he felt about me. I liked you so much. When
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: he asked me to change my opinions for him, I
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: did it. I trilled the nails down, started wearing let's makeup,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: I stopped wearing weave and fake our lashes. I changed
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: the way I dressed. You know why you did all
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: that because you wasn't his type, because you wasn't good
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: enough for him. Then you changed all that stuff again.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: You know why, because you wasn't good enough for him.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: He ain't changed a damn thing, nothing at all. So
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: he told me I was ready to meet his family,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: took me to the cookout man his mom and dad
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: didn't introduce me to his brother and joked about it.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I had given him an all treat in his car
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: on our first date. You didn't wann't to come. Oh
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: you're just in that clowning. Maybe I wasn't good enough
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: for him. Well, you did everything you could and you
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: still wasn't good enough because even after that he told
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: you he wasn't his type. Then after that you got
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: all fixed up. He going there and started talking about
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: what you did to him before you was his type.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I was so ashamed. I never bought it back up
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: to him. You know why you didn't bring it back
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: up to him because you felt like you wasn't good enough.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: So you've allowed this man to treat you the way
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: he wanted to, and you know how he treated you
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: just like you wasn't good enough, just like you wasn't good.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: This is a sad letter that's only gonna is sad.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: Ain't no uplift no one. I have some uplift for her.

- 1:02:38Speaker 1: enough for She just wasted three months of her life.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: You could have saved yourself a lot of this had
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: you not started none of this mess and two three months.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: I keep telling women, man, y'all, don't listen, okay, cool,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: keep doing what you've been doing. I'm telling you how
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: me and all. Now if you don't want to listen,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Uncle Steve, I'm okay with that. But I told y'all

- 1:03:14Speaker 1: weave the eyelashes, should cut your nails down, change the
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: way you dressed all this. Then he said, you're ready
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: to meet my family. Now take you to the family cookout.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: He produced me to his two brothers. Then he jumped
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: about her and giving an oil treating his car on

- 1:03:36Speaker 1: You did it, all of it, first night out, everything,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: let's go. We ain't gonna look forward to nothing. All

- 1:04:55Speaker 1: just on your button like a damn brand. Next morning,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I left his house head to work. By the time
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: I got to work, I got a text from him
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: stating that he deleted all of our texts, social media
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: messages and everything. He told me I should do the
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: same and just forget about him. He wouldn't respond when
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: I asked him why. I have not heard from him
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: since then. I can't figure it out. I'm heart broken.

- 1:14:49Speaker 1: I had a good one. Don't you telling what you
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: did to me? One year? Don't you do that? Oh? Well,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: one year I had my wagon. You know, I had
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: a wagon that you made money with your pop models
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: and yeah, And I took a little like a like
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: a garbage can, and I put it across the wagon.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: But I had two planks of wood on it. And
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: I made time to get inside the wagon and face forward.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: And when I pulled up to people's house, they asked
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: me what it was. I said, that's a hemp stop.

- 1:16:18Speaker 1: was grand I add only kept flying over his eye.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Steve Harvey,
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Farrell is not happy. Normally he's happy, but he's not happy.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: A President Trump using his song and President Obama will
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: be in Georgia this Friday. Get ready, we'll be back
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: and Election News. Now. This is according to essence dot com.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Guy's former President Obama will be headed out to Georgia
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: on Friday to do some campaigning for Georgia's Democratic candidate
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: Stacy a Um Let's stay Abrams, come on Georgia, come
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: on Atlanta, listen, Florida, Mississippi, Georgia. We have candidates that
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: can speak on your behalf. You have got to get
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: your voice involved in this government. If you don't, this
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: this rhetoric that's being spewed will go unchecked. It will
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: go unchecked. This is a very very serious election. When
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: you see former presidents coming back out to go on
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: the campaign trail. Something's wrong, and listen to me. We
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: have enough people to put these people in office, but
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: you have to vote. Stacy Abrams is beyond qualified in Georgia.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: What's the man's name, Gilliam In Florida, it's more than qualified.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Texas has a tight race. Mississippi has a tight Racesippi.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: It's time to change this. It's ridiculous for us to
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: sit it home and look at what's going on. And
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: here's here's what I really want you to understand. They
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: don't care about you. They do everything to suppress your vote.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: They come up with voter suppression. They come up in here,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: man talking about these rappers trying to get involved. Just
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: stick to rapper. They won't. They don't even want Taylor Swift.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Just stick stay out of politics. Why does she have
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: to stay out of politics? You let a man in
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: the White House that has never ever been in politics
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: of any kind. He hasn't been an alderman, a councilman,
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: he ain't been in the damn p t ain't meet.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: But you put this man in the white House. But
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: you look at an entertainer and you are to stay
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: out of politics. That's crazy. Who should have stayed out
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: of politics. Was that entertainer that we have that goes
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: in Dell sets in front of his base. The sad
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: part of it is is that this base is so
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: committed to him that they think that we don't exist.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: We can prove to them all that we exist by
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: getting to the polls in Georgia for Stacey, Ators, for
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Gilliam down in Florida, Gillium in Florida, Mike ep sp SP,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: Mike SP Mike sp in Mississippi. There are women running
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: who can get in there and make a voice a change,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: stop some of this old man rhetoric that's been going
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: down for years. See if you expect Donald Trump to
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: be different, you're sad mistaken. And let me tell you why.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: Bus he's an old rich man. He's an old rich man,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: and they don't change the way they think because they're
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: thinking got them where they are. This man is so
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: unpresidential that we're acting like it's the norm now and
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: it's not the norm. Why are you tweeting about the
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: manager's decision in a damn World Series baseball game and
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: degrading the man's decision. This is a sporting event, This
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: isn't life changing. It's a sporting event. When you want
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: them to shut up and dribble, don't you that's the
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: other lady, shut up and dribble. Wise, he knows nothing
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: about politics. Lady, what do you know all? You are
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: a commentator. You just make comments. You don't set policy.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: You're not in charge of You don't write bills. You
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: you don't You're not in the government. You're Fox commentator.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: You got the same vote I got. So now Lebron
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: and nobody else got to shut up and dribble. You talking?
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: Why can't he talk? He's very qualified to talk about
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: what he's done. He's talking about educating the underprivilege, caring
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: about somebody who other people have forgotten about and have
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: written off and will never care for. So that's way
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: more than you will ever do for anybody. Did you
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: see the picture of your woman? Have never done anything

- 1:21:34Speaker 1: Um Lebron was wearing a cap he supports in Texas
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: against against Ted Cruise. Steve is one of the biggest cowards,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: you know, Ted Cruise, If you said the way he
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: talked about your wife and your dad, you would never
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: support a man like that. Now he doned that beautiful
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: Ted Cruise. Y'all just beat lyon man Texas, fake hypocritical people.

- 1:22:28Speaker 1: No man, to you apologize to my wife publicly. I
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: got nothing for you, and you apologize to the same
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: way you bashed her. Now you publicly apologize and me
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: and you can be all right. If you don't do that, partner,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Well, if the people get out and vote
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: uh in Texas and vote for better instead of Ted Cruz,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: then he he won't have to worry about that. Listen, man,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: it's enough people intexatible. This is not the presidential election.

- 1:30:49Speaker 1: got stuck on the Journey. I just couldn't go. No,
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: you can't play the Classic. Oh no, no, no. I
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: did that one time. I did Classic on a hard
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: one time. You got thirty seconds to get ten matches
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: that I did it once. Scared the hell out myself.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: But you gotta be lucky though you got on two
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: of them. You gotta just look up and they pop

- 1:31:36Speaker 1: We gotta break right here and get ready for Steve's
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: closing remarks and we will do that right after this.
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: We'll be back at after you're listening to Steve show.
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: Here we go, last break of the day with the
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: man of the hour, the last four hours to be exact,
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey. Step on up to
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: the mic for you know what, U. I just want
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: to talk to you all about something about other people
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: as well as yourself. I want you to realize something
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: that you gotta just hanging that. Folks. You just gotta
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: hang in there because where you are it's so very temporary.
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: It matters not where you are, It only matters where
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: you're heading. You're going somewhere. Remember that everything you're going
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: through is God preparing you for what you ask for.
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: But you're in the process. You are in the midst
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: of being processed. All of us are. If you are
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: trying to get to the next level, you have to
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: be processed into that next level. You can't just go
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: to the next level. You can't go to the tinth
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: grade without finishing the ninth grade. You can't go to
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: college without being there with a high school diploma. You
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: you can't, you you you You're just you gotta go
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: through the process, you know. So what I'm what I'm
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: getting at is this, don't get down on yourself because
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: you're going through a period in your life, and this
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: period is kind of challenging for you, Like it is
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: right now. There are a lot of people right now
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: going through some challenging moments in their life, and it's
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: getting to be a little bit daunting at times. And
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: you're starting to feel a little bit overwhelmed by it
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: all because you're sitting there and you're thinking, mad, I
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: didn't had enough of this, Lord, where you act? I
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: don't got to learn this lesson? Noomo, If you could
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: just come on, I got it, fix me, rescue me,
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: deliver me, give me the blessing that I've been praying for.
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: You keep asking, and then you start to get a
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: little defeated because it ain't happening in your time. That
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: happens to you, Well, it happens to other people too,
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: and you gotta be careful how you treat other people
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: because they may not always be in that position for long.
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: Do you know how many people I know who just
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: did me wrong when I was on the way coming up.
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: You have any idea the number of people who were
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: discouraging to me on my way up. They had no idea.
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: You're not any people bad mouth me, bad mouth you
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: on your way up. They don't have any idea who
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: you really are. Do you know how many people throwing
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: dirt on you thinking they're bringing you harm? They don't
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: even realize what they're doing. They don't know, because you
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: know what they do. It they judging you. They're judging
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: you based on a season. They judging you based on
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: a period that you're in. Now, you gotta be careful
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: when you're judging people because of a period they're going through,
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: because that period it's just the season. This down moment
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: that you have, it, it's just the season. And just
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: like the seasons change, this two shall change. Just like
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: seasons passed, this two shall pass. Somebody sent me something
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: one day that said, never judge somebody based on the season,
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: and I started thinking about it, and they went on,
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: and so I kept reading what they said and they
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: were just talking about it. Man, it was so true.
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: They said, one season David was a shepherd, but the
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: next season he was a king. But you know how
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: they played David on the way up. Oh, they wouldn't they.
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: They wouldn't volunteer David for nothing. They wouldn't suggest David
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: for nothing. He was just a little shepherd boy. David
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: can't be the one to go down there and get
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: that gihnt ween and't gonna bring David up. David went
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: from a shepherd to a king. One see, Sason Ruth
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: was working in the field. The next season she was
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: owning the same field. It's just where the guy sitting.
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: It is just biblical. Uh. You know stories that's out
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: there that that really if you're a person of faith,
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: it matters to you. If you're not a person of faith,
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: this is not for you. But it's okay. I didn't
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: know you was list. One season, Mordecaile was sitting outside
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: the king's palace. The next season he was inside the palace.
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: We serve a god that turns things around, and he
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: is the god of unmerited favor. We are all privy
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: to his unmerited favor because he passes it out to
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: no particular person. We have all been privy to this
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: unmerited favor. You know how many of us can tell
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: you something that happened to us that we just can't explain.
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: That was favor. You know, When it looked like the
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: verdict was going one way and it turned around and
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: win another way. That was favor. When it looked like
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: you wasn't gonna make it, but here you are now,
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: that was favor. When they wrote you off and said
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: you was never gonna be nothing, but you turned out
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: to be something anyhow. That was favor. When they laughed
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: at you with your decision, and now they're looking at
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: you at that same decision they laughed at and they're
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: shaking their head. That was favor. When they tried to
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: destroy you, when your enemies came for you and they
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: couldn't do nothing with you all about you, that was favor,
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: God's unmerited favor. Quit tripping about the season you d
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: because you never know your season could turn around tomorrow.
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: But if you with you'll never find out hanging to everybody.
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: Those are my closing from Drop the mic, Drop It.
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: That's a great one for Halloween. I'm going and put
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: this Halloween costume more for these kids, grandkids, mine. Yeah.
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: Pimping on the radio comes to life today in my backyard.
