- 2:02Speaker 7: I shore will Good morning everybody. You are listening to

- 2:08Speaker 7: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Got a radio show
- 2:12Speaker 7: because God in the blessing.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Business.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Got a radio show because God is in the forgiving business.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Got a radio show because God will let you turn
- 2:20Speaker 4: your life around.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Business.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Got a radio show because God know better than you know. Yeah,
- 2:27Speaker 4: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Didn't see it coming,
- 2:30Speaker 4: but he did. I'm gonna share with you today a
- 2:34Speaker 4: principle of success. You know, it's it's important that we
- 2:40Speaker 4: get our lives together. I mean it really really is.
- 2:43Speaker 4: You know, to hereafter is exactly what it says is
- 2:46Speaker 4: to hereafter, And hopefully for the majority of us, that's
- 2:51Speaker 4: quite a way He's off. So what about how you
- 2:54Speaker 4: living today? How about now? You know often talk to
- 2:59Speaker 4: you in the morning about your relationship with God that
- 3:02Speaker 4: can never change. That is at the forefront and the
- 3:09Speaker 4: best thought process that I can give you. And I
- 3:12Speaker 4: know who I'm talking to on the radio. I'm talking
- 3:14Speaker 4: to a lot of people, man, who out there just
- 3:18Speaker 4: not sure. And I'm talking to a lot of people
- 3:20Speaker 4: out there man that's trying to pull it together. In
- 3:24Speaker 4: other words, you know, I'm talking to a lot of
- 3:26Speaker 4: people like myself. There is a principle of success that
- 3:31Speaker 4: is out there that if more people understood one of
- 3:34Speaker 4: the base this is just one of one of the
- 3:36Speaker 4: basic principles of success, you would have more success.
- 3:39Speaker 2: In your life.
- 3:40Speaker 4: And that principle is this, the more people you help
- 3:44Speaker 4: become successful, the more successful you become. Well, the more
- 3:51Speaker 4: people you help become successful, the more successful you become.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Because you are practicing helping your and as you do
- 3:59Speaker 4: unto others, then it's done unto you. You build relationships.
- 4:06Speaker 4: When you do that, people forget and success that has
- 4:10Speaker 4: to be relationships. There is no one person in this
- 4:14Speaker 4: world who is just successful all on their own. You
- 4:17Speaker 4: are successful, and successful people form relationships, and you've got
- 4:24Speaker 4: to really coddle these relationships. You've got to nurture these relationships.
- 4:29Speaker 4: They don't just happen. You don't just get cool with
- 4:33Speaker 4: people just cause you cool. No, you've got to do
- 4:36Speaker 4: some cool things to these people and for these people,
- 4:39Speaker 4: for these people to be cool with you when you
- 4:41Speaker 4: need some cool. I don't know if I'm explaining that right,
- 4:44Speaker 4: but that's the best way I can tell it to you.
- 4:46Speaker 4: I'm just regular, you know, I just speak like that.
- 4:50Speaker 4: This is an important principle to put into your life.
- 4:54Speaker 4: The more people you help become successful, the more successful
- 4:58Speaker 4: you become.
- 5:00Speaker 2: You can look.
- 5:01Speaker 4: You have to say to people, hey, look I've done that.
- 5:04Speaker 4: This is what you got to do. You got to
- 5:06Speaker 4: take some time out to share. You have to share information, experiences, thoughts.
- 5:12Speaker 4: You got to take a minute, man to uplift somebody,
- 5:16Speaker 4: give them some encouragement. Hey man, you can do it.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Don't give up. You have no idea. You you you
- 5:25Speaker 4: right now. You have no idea how significant you are
- 5:30Speaker 4: to someone else, how your words of encouragement could be
- 5:34Speaker 4: the difference maker. Today I'm talking about it's a person
- 5:38Speaker 4: looking at you that you don't even really know you,
- 5:40Speaker 4: or you don't really know them, and you see them
- 5:42Speaker 4: struggling with something. Just say, hey, you know what, I've
- 5:44Speaker 4: been watching you from afar. You gonna be all right, man,
- 5:47Speaker 4: I see some menu. Keep doing the right thing, man,
- 5:50Speaker 4: you gonna be alright.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I had a meeting with.
- 5:53Speaker 4: A young man for the first time, and this young
- 5:57Speaker 4: man came into my office and never met him. He
- 6:01Speaker 4: has an internet service, which anybody can teach me something
- 6:05Speaker 4: about the internet, because I know little too close to nothing.
- 6:09Speaker 4: He was twenty seven years old, and he was amazingly
- 6:14Speaker 4: bright at this and I guess, you know, that's not
- 6:18Speaker 4: that hard to impress me. But the fluid speech pattern
- 6:24Speaker 4: that he had about this very very difficult subject. He
- 6:26Speaker 4: was tossing around the terms I had heard, but he
- 6:29Speaker 4: was actually putting him in sentences where it made since
- 6:32Speaker 4: to me. It's very fluid, very sure of himself. When
- 6:36Speaker 4: he was talking about this little thing, a young dude
- 6:39Speaker 4: twenty seven years old. And when he got through, the
- 6:43Speaker 4: woman that had introduced me to him, I was leaving
- 6:46Speaker 4: my office and she was going to escort him out,
- 6:48Speaker 4: and I turned around and I said, young man, I said,
- 6:52Speaker 4: what size pants are you? And I guessed it because
- 6:55Speaker 4: I've been dressing for long. I've been all them sizes.
- 6:59Speaker 4: I said, you about a thirty ways? He said, yes, Sir.
- 7:02Speaker 4: I said, what side shoe you waisted nine and a half?
- 7:05Speaker 4: I said, what side shirt is? At a medium? He said,
- 7:08Speaker 4: I really like extra large. I said, well that's too
- 7:11Speaker 4: big for you. You just want to look lousy and bagging.
- 7:15Speaker 4: And so I was talking to him. Man I said, Man,
- 7:18Speaker 4: I'm gonna help you out. I said, man, because let
- 7:20Speaker 4: me tell you something. You a sharp young dude. Man,
- 7:23Speaker 4: you are raisor sharp. I said, You've really really impressed
- 7:27Speaker 4: me today. I said, And you know what, young brother,
- 7:30Speaker 4: I said, You're gonna make a lot of money one day. Man,
- 7:33Speaker 4: I said, but I want you to get your image up.
- 7:36Speaker 2: I want you to.
- 7:36Speaker 4: I want you to look at how you dress because
- 7:38Speaker 4: you're coming into professional people's office and you're talking about
- 7:42Speaker 4: doing something for them, and it takes money to make
- 7:45Speaker 4: it happen. I got to give you money to make
- 7:46Speaker 4: this happen. What you cannot afford to do is look
- 7:50Speaker 4: like you need every dime of this money. See you
- 7:53Speaker 4: get when you go in there and you talking about
- 7:56Speaker 4: money with another person. The person that's gonna give you
- 7:59Speaker 4: this money cannot You can't look like you need every
- 8:01Speaker 4: dime of this money, you know, so you got to
- 8:04Speaker 4: start presenting yourself. And that's all I just said to him.
- 8:07Speaker 4: I just said, man, but you know what you shop,
- 8:09Speaker 4: You're gonna make yourself some money. I'm gonna help you
- 8:12Speaker 4: out a little bit.
- 8:13Speaker 2: I walked out. I went on bout my business.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Later on that afternoon, I had a meeting with the
- 8:16Speaker 4: woman that bought him in and she said, mister Harvey,
- 8:19Speaker 4: you have no idea what you just did. He said,
- 8:22Speaker 4: his eyes just teared up when you walked out. He said, Wow, man,
- 8:26Speaker 4: that man don't even know me, and he just encouraged me.
- 8:30Speaker 4: He said, man, I always thought I might could make it,
- 8:32Speaker 4: but he said, I ain't. Never had nobody like him
- 8:35Speaker 4: tell me I could make it. And just hearing it
- 8:38Speaker 4: from him, man, that's all right. I'm gonna get my
- 8:42Speaker 4: clothes together. But you know, I've been homeless. And then
- 8:46Speaker 4: he started telling the woman that he had been homeless,
- 8:49Speaker 4: and so you know, then she telling me that now
- 8:50Speaker 4: I'm fit to cry, because you know, I've been in
- 8:52Speaker 4: that hole before, and I just and I'm just sharing
- 8:55Speaker 4: that story with y'all just to say, you don't know
- 8:58Speaker 4: who you talking to But what does it hurt if
- 9:02Speaker 4: you just extend your hand to a person and give
- 9:05Speaker 4: them a moment of encouragement. See this young brother right here,
- 9:10Speaker 4: he could come back one day and be a major
- 9:12Speaker 4: benefit to me because he has a skill set that
- 9:16Speaker 4: I don't have.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Oh.
- 9:18Speaker 4: I might be old, mister Steve Harvey, but hey, guess what,
- 9:21Speaker 4: I don't know nothing about what this young cat know.
- 9:24Speaker 4: And he done went off and educated himself. And just
- 9:26Speaker 4: a word of encouragement from somebody like yourself can make
- 9:31Speaker 4: all the difference in another person's life. So remember on
- 9:36Speaker 4: your way to the top. The more people that you
- 9:40Speaker 4: help become successful, the more successful you become. It's a
- 9:45Speaker 4: requirement of God that you do that. That ain't Steve
- 9:47Speaker 4: Harvey talking. If you read your Bible. Somebody got a
- 9:50Speaker 4: Bible verse that backed me up, email it to me
- 9:52Speaker 4: today if you know what it is.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I don't know, but y'all do out.

- 11:49Speaker 11: here we go, so however long it takes.

- 12:18Speaker 2: text greeting out with the explosions.
- 12:22Speaker 8: I'm so tired.
- 12:24Speaker 12: I'm so tired that they say happy to year and
- 12:26Speaker 12: you get the whole explosion everything.

- 56:27Speaker 14: you thank you subject, I'm only doing it for the money.
- 56:33Speaker 14: Dear Stephen Shirley, I've been married for six years. On
- 56:36Speaker 14: Labor Day, my husband had a motorcycle accident and he
- 56:39Speaker 14: has not been able to work since then. He's a
- 56:42Speaker 14: barber and he made great money, but he's not able
- 56:45Speaker 14: to fully use his right arm. Right now, he's in
- 56:48Speaker 14: rehab and getting better.
- 56:50Speaker 13: We've been running through our savings since his accident, and
- 56:53Speaker 13: I've been stressed out about money. My brother in law
- 56:57Speaker 13: came to town to check on us, and he sent
- 56:59Speaker 13: me to get my hair done and gave me money
- 57:02Speaker 13: to hang out with my girls for a while.
- 57:05Speaker 2: Uh.
- 57:06Speaker 13: It was very sweet, but my husband didn't like it
- 57:08Speaker 13: one bit. He told me to stay away from his
- 57:11Speaker 13: brother because he's sneaky. His brother slept on our couch
- 57:15Speaker 13: for two nights and was never inappropriate with me. On
- 57:18Speaker 13: the day he left, he said he was going to
- 57:20Speaker 13: send me some money so I don't have to look
- 57:23Speaker 13: like what I'm going through. I told him that would
- 57:25Speaker 13: be nice, not expecting him to actually do it. A
- 57:29Speaker 13: week later, I got a call from his brother saying
- 57:32Speaker 13: he was coming back to town to help me out financially,
- 57:35Speaker 13: but not to say anything to his brother. I met
- 57:39Speaker 13: my brother in law at one of the newer restaurants
- 57:42Speaker 13: and he told me to get all of our bills
- 57:44Speaker 13: together and he'd pay them for three months. He had
- 57:47Speaker 13: a box of condoms in his coat pocket and he
- 57:49Speaker 13: said these are for us. He propositioned me for sex
- 57:54Speaker 13: in exchange for paying our bills for three months. It
- 57:58Speaker 13: was like good battling Eve, because on the real I've
- 58:01Speaker 13: been wanting this man since I met him. I decided
- 58:06Speaker 13: to take him up on his offer so we could
- 58:08Speaker 13: get out of debt. I figured no one will know,
- 58:12Speaker 13: but my conscience is driving me crazy because the sex
- 58:15Speaker 13: is so good. I love my husband and thank god
- 58:19Speaker 13: he does not suspect anything.
- 58:22Speaker 1: Is it too risky? Or should I keep it up
- 58:24Speaker 1: till the bills are paid? Okay?
- 58:27Speaker 13: First of all, stop all these lies. Okay, that's a
- 58:30Speaker 13: stop all these lies. You love your husband. You love
- 58:34Speaker 13: your husband, You had the nerve to say that in
- 58:37Speaker 13: this letter.
- 58:39Speaker 1: You love him? Okay, there's so many red flags in
- 58:42Speaker 1: this letter. Is it too risky?
- 58:45Speaker 13: Or should I keep it up till the bills are paid?
- 58:48Speaker 13: I'm just really mad at this letter because you don't
- 58:50Speaker 13: want advice from us. You don't want advice from us.
- 58:53Speaker 13: You want to keep on doing what you're doing. You
- 58:55Speaker 13: already know what it is. You know all the answers.
- 58:58Speaker 13: This is so foul doing it with your your husband's brother.
- 59:03Speaker 13: You know what you're doing. You know that your husband
- 59:04Speaker 13: told you to stay away from his brother, and you
- 59:06Speaker 13: know why he said, because he's sneaky. And look what
- 59:10Speaker 13: he's doing.
- 59:10Speaker 1: And look what you're doing.
- 59:11Speaker 13: You're sleeping with his brother anyway, and you absolutely know
- 59:14Speaker 13: what will happen if your brother, if your husband finds out.
- 59:17Speaker 13: You're not doing this to get your bills paid, that's
- 59:19Speaker 13: the lame excuse. You're doing it because you want to
- 59:21Speaker 13: do it because you like his brother and you've wanted
- 59:25Speaker 13: him since day one.
- 59:26Speaker 1: Well you got him.
- 59:27Speaker 13: Now you're locked in, and nothing we could ever say
- 59:30Speaker 13: is going to stop that. So go on, wifey and
- 59:33Speaker 13: sister in law, live your life and pray you don't
- 59:36Speaker 13: get pregnant.
- 59:37Speaker 1: Or worse with this situation.
- 59:39Speaker 13: And you're in pray that your husband doesn't find out
- 59:41Speaker 13: and kill you both when his right arm gets better.
- 59:45Speaker 14: Tommy, you are a rotten spouse. You file, the brother
- 59:50Speaker 14: in law is file.
- 59:53Speaker 2: Y'all just file, and then you got the nerves say somethingbody,
- 59:56Speaker 2: you're conscious your conscience. I'm conscious. No, you could care
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: less like you're talking about. You did it for the money.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: But but you contradicting yourself because you said, I've been
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: wanting this man. That's that's, that's all it is. You've
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: been wanting this man. This man been want you, all right,
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: and he Didne came down and he plotted on you.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: He thene came down and say okay, when I come
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: back I'm coming back with some money. I'm gonna pay
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: them bills.
- 1:00:25Speaker 8: And I'm bringing a box of cords.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: All this has been laid out. He didn't he already
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: didn't figure out what he wanted to do with you.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: So you are rotting and at some point your husband
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: gonna find out about this. It's the lowest thing you
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: could possibly do.
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: This is brother, this is brother.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: How much lower can you get? And he know his
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: brother ain't worth for damn. He done told you my
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: brother sneak, Ben sneaky since we got here on or
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: my brother Ben snake already. No, you really, he shouldn't
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: even let your to stay in his house. That if
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: he that sneak, he shouldn't even let him. It wouldn't
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: have been no two nights on my couch. No no,
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: no no no, I'll help you get a room somewhere,
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: but you ain't staying at my house. But it didn't
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: even matter. He stayed at the house because you've been
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: wanting that man. You been wont that man. It's somebody that.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Brother you been wanting that.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: Now some money go within it too. All this looks
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: even better. Meanwhile, your huband over there care he's right
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: on it ain't working. He can't cut nobody. Have he
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: all in trouble. I swear when he get that right
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: on back together. I hope he beat you. I hope
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: he beat his brother ass. I really do. I hope
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: he really do. This is when you cut somebody's hair
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: while they sleep. He need to do everything he can
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: to hear raggedy ass brother, Your brother ain't worth her dawn,
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: and I'm not. I'm not even tripping on what you're doing,
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: which is wrong. I'm tripping on the fack. It's his brother,
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: it's his brother, it's his flesh and blood. You didn't
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: You didn't just ain't nobody. You couldn't win mess with
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: somebody at the box shop, me his brother. It's the
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: lowest you can be. You didn't done it. You're gonna
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: screw up your You're gonna screw up your marriage. You
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: might as well gonna count that out. It's over. That's
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: a wrap because you over there with the brother, and
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: the brother ain't gonna stop. This is a game to him.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: He don't care. He don't care about how many lives
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: he messed up. Y'all. The relationship is shot. This is Johnny.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: Oh you let me just go and say this shirt
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: you are not ready to love, and I'm just gonna
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: leave it right there.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: All right, thank you?
- 1:02:36Speaker 13: If you will have Part two of the Strawberry Letter,
- 1:02:39Speaker 13: with Junior's response coming up a twenty three minutes after
- 1:02:41Speaker 13: the hour of the subject I'm only doing it for
- 1:02:44Speaker 13: the money. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:02:49Speaker 13: It's time to talk about life insurance. It's one of
- 1:02:52Speaker 13: those things that everyone should have, and Globe Life makes
- 1:02:55Speaker 13: it easy with no medical exam, just a simple application
- 1:02:59Speaker 13: and coveragejall up to one hundred thousand dollars.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Get the coverage you need in twenty twenty five.
- 1:03:04Speaker 13: Go online at globelifradio dot com or call one eight
- 1:03:08Speaker 13: hundred two five one fifty four hundred to apply in minutes.
- 1:03:12Speaker 13: That's Globelifradio dot com or one eight hundred two five
- 1:03:16Speaker 13: one fifty four hundred. All right, it is time now
- 1:03:20Speaker 13: to recap the Strawberry Letter. The subject is I'm only
- 1:03:23Speaker 13: doing it for the money. A woman wrote in she's
- 1:03:25Speaker 13: been married for six years. On Labor Day, her husband
- 1:03:28Speaker 13: had a motorcycle accident. He messed up his right arm.
- 1:03:31Speaker 13: Why is that important? Because he's a barber and he
- 1:03:33Speaker 13: needs his right arm to work. Well, he hasn't been
- 1:03:36Speaker 13: able to work, so the bills have been piling up.
- 1:03:39Speaker 13: The brother stepped in, the husband's brother, the wife's brother
- 1:03:44Speaker 13: in law, stepped in and say.
- 1:03:45Speaker 11: You know what, I'll help you guys pay your bills
- 1:03:48Speaker 11: and all that. Uh huh, yeah, I'll help you.
- 1:03:52Speaker 13: So he gave the wife some money to go get
- 1:03:54Speaker 13: her nails done and everything, hang out with her girls,
- 1:03:56Speaker 13: and he came back. He had he asked wife to
- 1:04:00Speaker 13: bring her a box of the bills so he could
- 1:04:03Speaker 13: pay them. And then he's put a box of condoms
- 1:04:06Speaker 13: out there and said, and this is for us, because
- 1:04:09Speaker 13: this is payment for me paying your bills. So he
- 1:04:11Speaker 13: wants to sleep with her and he would give her
- 1:04:13Speaker 13: the money to pay the bills.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Yes, Tommy, was it a box of three or a
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: box of twelve? Which one?
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: You think?
- 1:04:20Speaker 13: Twelve twelve because it's three months. Anyway, she took him
- 1:04:25Speaker 13: up on his offer. And now all of a sudden
- 1:04:27Speaker 13: she's feeling guilty about, you know, her husband and all that.
- 1:04:30Speaker 13: But in reality, she's always wanted the brothers since day one.
- 1:04:33Speaker 13: So now she's saying she thanks God and she loves
- 1:04:39Speaker 13: her husband and is it too risky?
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Should he keep it up so that the bills can
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: get paid? So, Junior, that's where we are.
- 1:04:45Speaker 8: What you think, how much in bent are we?
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: How much? A million?
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: Much?
- 1:05:00Speaker 12: Because then if we're a million, I understand if we
- 1:05:02Speaker 12: just talking about ten thousand, this is don't make no sense.
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: Now, this don't make no sense because you.
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: Got to think about it.
- 1:05:09Speaker 12: I know he's going through rehab everything. First of all,
- 1:05:12Speaker 12: I feel for the hood because I'm a sick person.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: I understand, But you don't have brothers.
- 1:05:19Speaker 12: God, Yeah, but you know what the fact you're gonna
- 1:05:21Speaker 12: do it to your brother in law? Yeah, they had
- 1:05:24Speaker 12: a really raggedy Christmas.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: Y'all know that. Y'all do.
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: You understand Lea's given was trashed?
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: You know that.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: I understand.
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: We just got through the holidays.
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: You know it was trained.
- 1:05:34Speaker 12: Right now, Margaret sitting over there with his arm that
- 1:05:37Speaker 12: ain't working on the right side. All he can do
- 1:05:40Speaker 12: is just turn left.
- 1:05:40Speaker 8: He just keep ro taking.
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: He don't have this all working.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: All he do is turning left, becuse the right side
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: ain't working.
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: And you slept with my brother for these bills. How
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: much in that are we?
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: This don't make no sense.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no, the bills.
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: How much bills are we talking about? How much did
- 1:06:01Speaker 8: the light feel at this house?
- 1:06:02Speaker 11: How much he's got to be it's got to be.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Uh, he had he made it.
- 1:06:09Speaker 8: But he's coming back to be in the barber. He
- 1:06:11Speaker 8: gonna get there. He's gonna get there.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: He's just got to go through rehab.
- 1:06:14Speaker 9: I've been there.
- 1:06:15Speaker 8: I've been to rehab before. I know how long it takes.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: I got it.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: I'm staying.
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: You said, man like this here, So every time you
- 1:06:22Speaker 8: come in the house after leave would sleep with his brother.
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: You gotta look at that whole right side ain't work.
- 1:06:27Speaker 8: He keep good.
- 1:06:27Speaker 12: You welcome home to the left. Everything left on the right,
- 1:06:31Speaker 12: it's work. Nothing on the rightest work where you been,
- 1:06:38Speaker 12: where you been?
- 1:06:39Speaker 8: To the left though, where you been, where you been?
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Where you been?
- 1:06:44Speaker 8: Everything is to the left.
- 1:06:45Speaker 12: He's trying to work on the right, trying to get
- 1:06:48Speaker 12: back there. You know you slept with the brother, and
- 1:06:50Speaker 12: you keep coming home with money. You ain't working that much.
- 1:06:52Speaker 12: We know how much you make.
- 1:06:53Speaker 8: We know you know you can't hold down this whole house.
- 1:06:56Speaker 8: What are you doing to come home with all this money?
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: What did you doing?
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: But how would you feel if this was your brother,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: I mean your brother.
- 1:07:06Speaker 8: He told you the man told you do not trust
- 1:07:09Speaker 8: my brother. He's sneaky. Yeah you did anyway, Flynn.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Try Flynn. Yeah, this is terrible, but I wouldn't.
- 1:07:17Speaker 12: I wouldn't even hold your hand if he's saying grace.
- 1:07:19Speaker 12: If I know this, I'm not holding your hand saying grace.
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: You ain't gonna get me struck.
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: So let me ask you this. Let me should he
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: now start trying to cut hand with his left hand.

- 1:24:19Speaker 13: for some closing remarks from the wonderful, the one and only,
- 1:24:22Speaker 13: our fearless leader, Steve Harvey.
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: What you got, Steve?
- 1:24:25Speaker 4: You know, uh, I was just thinking about encouragement and
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: the things that have happened in my life to greatly
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: encourage me. And kind of, like I said this morning,
- 1:24:42Speaker 4: you know, I kind of woke up this morning, I
- 1:24:44Speaker 4: just wasn't myself this morning. I wasn't my usual and
- 1:24:49Speaker 4: I found myself thinking, you know, some thoughts that I
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: shouldn't have allowed to get into my head.
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: But I quickly reversed that.
- 1:24:57Speaker 4: And I'm gonna tell you something that I do because
- 1:25:02Speaker 4: I was taught a long time ago that your feelings
- 1:25:06Speaker 4: are a barometer of your thoughts. Your feelings are a
- 1:25:11Speaker 4: barometer of your thoughts. And what that simply means is
- 1:25:14Speaker 4: what your feeling is actually like just a thermometer of
- 1:25:19Speaker 4: what you've been thinking over the past twenty thirty minutes.
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: If you think, if you.
- 1:25:26Speaker 4: Catch yourself feeling out of sorts or getting to a
- 1:25:30Speaker 4: little funk, or feeling a little depressed, all you have
- 1:25:33Speaker 4: to do is trace back what you've been thinking for
- 1:25:36Speaker 4: the past fifteen to thirty minutes, because all your feelings
- 1:25:41Speaker 4: are are simply a barometer.
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: Or however you want to look at it.
- 1:25:46Speaker 4: You might want to say a thermometer, so you can
- 1:25:48Speaker 4: say it tells the temperature of what you've been thinking.
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: And so I had to go back and do that,
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: and I realized.
- 1:25:57Speaker 4: The reason I kind of woke up on the wrong
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: side of the bed, it was because I was laying
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: at thinking.
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: Some negative thoughts.
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: I was thinking about all the stuff I had to do,
- 1:26:08Speaker 4: all the stuff I needed to accomplish, and then I
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: was realizing that there was no way I was gonna
- 1:26:15Speaker 4: get it all done today, no matter how hard I try.
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: And as I was sitting there man beating myself up
- 1:26:24Speaker 4: for knowing all that I had to do and knowing
- 1:26:27Speaker 4: I didn't have enough time in the day to get
- 1:26:28Speaker 4: it done, I started feeling sort of out of sorts.
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: And like, man, this is I want this to move
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: blah blah blah blah blah.
- 1:26:36Speaker 4: Well I had to catch myself because I had to
- 1:26:39Speaker 4: be reminded of the Lord's prayer, the line that says,
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: give us this day our daily bread, which God has
- 1:26:46Speaker 4: mentally equipped us to handle today. God didn't set our
- 1:26:50Speaker 4: brain up to handle tomorrow. To worry about it anyway.
- 1:26:54Speaker 4: You can think about it and aspire about it and
- 1:26:56Speaker 4: dream about it, but you're surely not to worry about
- 1:26:59Speaker 4: it because there's nothing you can do about it. But
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: I was sitting there about worrying about today and all
- 1:27:05Speaker 4: I had to do and how I was gonna fit
- 1:27:07Speaker 4: it in today, and knowing I couldn't and how I
- 1:27:08Speaker 4: was gonna affect my tomorrow. Bad mistake, Steve Harvey, and
- 1:27:12Speaker 4: you know better. And so I'm trying to help you
- 1:27:15Speaker 4: all understand that when you get into that funk like that,
- 1:27:18Speaker 4: no better. Like I had to know better. God has
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: equipped us to handle today. Give us this day our
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: daily bread. He don't want you tripping on what that
- 1:27:26Speaker 4: already happened in the past. You can't go back, you
- 1:27:29Speaker 4: don't get do overs, and ain't no need to worry
- 1:27:31Speaker 4: about the future because you have no control over it.
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: So I had to get focused, and I had to
- 1:27:38Speaker 4: think about, Wow, all I need is today.
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: I need enough to make it today.
- 1:27:47Speaker 4: And so as I was sitting there shaving, I was
- 1:27:49Speaker 4: sitting up here thinking, I said, wow, I'm up, I
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: have a measure of health. I'm shaving. I'm actually okay,
- 1:27:56Speaker 4: I'm order some room service. I'm okay. I get to
- 1:28:01Speaker 4: go to work today. That's a blessing. Not I gotta
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: go to work. I get to go to work today,
- 1:28:08Speaker 4: because that's a blessing. It's a blessing to have that opportunity.
- 1:28:12Speaker 4: It's people looking for a job today wishing they would
- 1:28:15Speaker 4: work anywhere, And I just need to get a check
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: coming in here.
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: I actually get to go to work, to a job
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: I enjoy. Steve Harvey, are you kidding me?
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: You got the nerve to wake up on the wrong
- 1:28:29Speaker 4: side of the bed because you was worrying about what
- 1:28:33Speaker 4: you might not accomplish. Have you taken a moment, sir,
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: to just realize what you have? That my children are healthy,
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: that they all still with me, That I got loving family. Oh,
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: they had ay dysfunctional moments. Oh you can believe that
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: by at the end of the day. I bet they
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: love each other. Hey man, you have options. Hey man,
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: You're able to walk, to see, to talk, to think,
- 1:29:08Speaker 4: to rhyme, to reason.
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: It's just so many little things.
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: I'm looking out the window right now, and I'm realizing
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: the sun is up and I'm free while I can
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: go out there and enjoy it.
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: Man, get out of here.
- 1:29:24Speaker 4: You don't have the right, sir, to wake up on
- 1:29:28Speaker 4: the wrong side of the bed when the joy and
- 1:29:31Speaker 4: the gratitude ought to be that you woke up on
- 1:29:34Speaker 4: the bed.
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: How about that?
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: Cause don't you remember, Steve Harvey, when you didn't have
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: no bed partner? Now you're worried about getting up on
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: the wrong side. How about them three years when you
- 1:29:44Speaker 4: ain't had no bed? What about that? Are you kidding me?
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: Man?
- 1:29:50Speaker 4: So you're gonna lay up here stuck on stupid because
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: you're on the wrong side of the bed. You frustrated
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: you ain't got enough time any day? But did you
- 1:29:57Speaker 4: ever really think about why you don't have enough time
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: in the day because you got stuff to do. You
- 1:30:02Speaker 4: know why you got stuff to do because God created
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: you to be busy. You know why he created you
- 1:30:06Speaker 4: to be busy so you can have the life you
- 1:30:08Speaker 4: asked for. You can't complain about what's all on your
- 1:30:12Speaker 4: plate when your whole goal was to eat. Sitting up
- 1:30:17Speaker 4: in here tripping about how much is on my plate
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: when my whole goal was to eat. Now he got
- 1:30:24Speaker 4: plenty on the plate and you tripping about that? Are
- 1:30:28Speaker 4: you stupid? Steve Harvey? I don't think so much. So
- 1:30:32Speaker 4: I pulled my thkokque no self to get and focused
- 1:30:39Speaker 4: and got Greta's.
