- 0:57Speaker 1: You up.
- 1:05Speaker 5: You gotta turn't to turn the mouth turn. You probably
- 1:42Speaker 5: got to turn the mouth turn.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Moun wad the mono me? Come come on, you're think
- 2:00Speaker 1: I sure will?
- 2:01Speaker 6: Good morning everybody you are listening to the voice, Come
- 2:05Speaker 6: on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:08Speaker 6: a radio show you know. Today I was thinking of
- 2:12Speaker 6: what I would say today and it just dawned on
- 2:15Speaker 6: me this way, and I just want to share this
- 2:17Speaker 6: with everybody listening. You've got to get some help to
- 2:21Speaker 6: make it through life. I cannot imagine where I would
- 2:24Speaker 6: be if it was not for the help of my God,
- 2:29Speaker 6: if it wasn't for his grace and mercy, if I
- 2:32Speaker 6: did not have the ability to lean on him and
- 2:36Speaker 6: all the times I've had to lean on him, which
- 2:38Speaker 6: has become a daily basis. I have no idea where
- 2:41Speaker 6: I would be, but clearly I know for a matter
- 2:44Speaker 6: of fact, I would not be here today. You have
- 2:48Speaker 6: got to get some help to get through this thing
- 2:50Speaker 6: called life. I am begging you to look into it. Man,
- 2:54Speaker 6: you've got to form a relationship with God. Without a
- 2:58Speaker 6: relationship with God, this thing called life is daunting at times.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I don't care who you are.
- 3:03Speaker 6: I know I'm speaking the truth right now, because listen,
- 3:07Speaker 6: no matter who you are, what job title you have,
- 3:11Speaker 6: what aspirations you may have, I don't care what your
- 3:14Speaker 6: educational background is or is not. It does not matter
- 3:19Speaker 6: if you don't get a real relationship going on with God.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I don't see how you can make it.
- 3:24Speaker 6: So many people are faking in fronting out here like
- 3:27Speaker 6: they got it going on, and you don't know, And
- 3:30Speaker 6: you really don't know how many people that you think
- 3:32Speaker 6: in your neighborhood had it going on because you saw
- 3:35Speaker 6: a car pull up in the driveway, or they house
- 3:38Speaker 6: look bigger, or the grass is cutting nicer, and you
- 3:41Speaker 6: only find out that a foreclosure side on they house too.
- 3:45Speaker 1: See, you don't know.
- 3:46Speaker 6: The mask that people put on to parade around in
- 3:49Speaker 6: is for appearance sakes. So a lot of people you
- 3:52Speaker 6: looking at that you think got it going on. Who
- 3:55Speaker 6: might be the pattern of success that you on a trace?
- 3:58Speaker 6: You got to be real careful with that because it
- 4:01Speaker 6: may not be as it appears to be. But one
- 4:03Speaker 6: thing is for sure, no matter what's going on in
- 4:07Speaker 6: your life, I know that behind whatever mask I'm wearing,
- 4:12Speaker 6: or I realized, no matter what the appearances may be,
- 4:16Speaker 6: that on the other side of me, I'm gonna be
- 4:19Speaker 6: just fine.
- 4:20Speaker 1: See.
- 4:20Speaker 6: You may be outwardly people hating on you, talking about you,
- 4:25Speaker 6: dragging your name through the mud. Look, man, people can
- 4:28Speaker 6: say stuff about you. Most people talking about you don't
- 4:31Speaker 6: even know you. They just participating in it. You can
- 4:35Speaker 6: have that appearance going on, but behind you, within you,
- 4:39Speaker 6: if you have a relationship with God, it don't matter
- 4:42Speaker 6: because you can be all right. I've seen it get
- 4:45Speaker 6: real stormy on the outside for me, but on the
- 4:48Speaker 6: inside I just had to feel and I was gonna
- 4:50Speaker 6: be all right.
- 4:51Speaker 1: See.
- 4:52Speaker 6: That's what the relationship gives you, man. It gives you
- 4:55Speaker 6: the confidence to know that the things that you're going
- 4:58Speaker 6: through are temporary, but it's just the space that you
- 5:01Speaker 6: happen to be in. Like I said the other day,
- 5:04Speaker 6: you got to remember something. The road to success is
- 5:07Speaker 6: always under construction. You might as well get ready for
- 5:10Speaker 6: that if you plan it on changing, getting better, doing
- 5:15Speaker 6: something about your health, if you decide, hey, look, I
- 5:18Speaker 6: just would like to live a longer, more prosperous life,
- 5:21Speaker 6: or hey I want to make X amount of dollars,
- 5:23Speaker 6: or hey man, I'm gonna stop staying out in these
- 5:25Speaker 6: streets and I'm gonna come home and treat my family
- 5:28Speaker 6: wayter aught to be treated. I don't care what decision
- 5:30Speaker 6: you make. When you strike out on that road to success,
- 5:34Speaker 6: it's under construction, partner. That's barrels out there, there's wide turns,
- 5:39Speaker 6: there's detours.
- 5:40Speaker 1: You know.
- 5:41Speaker 6: It's me and out there holding signs saying slow down.
- 5:44Speaker 6: Sometimes they put the stop sign up. You got to
- 5:47Speaker 6: wait and watch people go by you on the other side.
- 5:51Speaker 6: Then before you can take off again. You've all been
- 5:54Speaker 6: on the road with construction on it. It can be
- 5:56Speaker 6: so frustrating. And the whole time you on that road,
- 6:00Speaker 6: I know, when I'm on the road we can under construction.
- 6:02Speaker 6: I'm always thinking of an alternative path. I ain't ever
- 6:07Speaker 6: set in traffic under construction, man, and thought of if
- 6:11Speaker 6: I get off on this exit, where would it take me?
- 6:14Speaker 6: Not knowing, but just man, could I keep moving if
- 6:17Speaker 6: I go that way? That's a dangerous thing sometimes, see
- 6:21Speaker 6: because oftentimes when we get off the road to success
- 6:24Speaker 6: and we take that other path, we get further and
- 6:27Speaker 6: further off course. Because wasn't no detools signed for that,
- 6:31Speaker 6: Just a decision I made on my own because I
- 6:33Speaker 6: don't like sitting here sometimes I don't have the patience
- 6:35Speaker 6: I ought to have, So I've taken some what I
- 6:38Speaker 6: thought might be shortcuts. But I got to tell you something,
- 6:41Speaker 6: ain't no shortcuts on the road to success. Even the
- 6:44Speaker 6: detourl signs wind up taking you a little bit out
- 6:47Speaker 6: your way. And look background. I remember one time I
- 6:49Speaker 6: was coming from Las Vegas and that was some type
- 6:53Speaker 6: of chemical spill in the truck and you could almost
- 6:59Speaker 6: see the smoke up ahead.
- 7:01Speaker 1: It very faint.
- 7:02Speaker 6: So they detoreed us through the desert and we had
- 7:05Speaker 6: to go all the way around, and I drove, man
- 7:08Speaker 6: like an hour and a half out of the way.
- 7:10Speaker 6: And when they entered us back on the freeway where
- 7:13Speaker 6: we were to go back to La as soon as
- 7:16Speaker 6: I got it that exit to get back on the freeway,
- 7:18Speaker 6: I looked right there and there the accident was. Now
- 7:22Speaker 6: it was an hour and a half hour forty five
- 7:26Speaker 6: all the way around in that desert to get back
- 7:29Speaker 6: to almost the same place, but it was the best
- 7:32Speaker 6: way to go because see, that was the route to take.
- 7:36Speaker 6: And that's what you got to understand about trying to
- 7:38Speaker 6: make the right decision to be successful, that the road
- 7:41Speaker 6: to success is always under construction. You're gonna have to
- 7:45Speaker 6: go round a little bit, so quick, stop being impatient
- 7:48Speaker 6: with I don't want to go around. I'm gonna go
- 7:50Speaker 6: this way. You go that way if you want to
- 7:52Speaker 6: just follow the detour science. See, because somebody that came
- 7:55Speaker 6: up this road before you have, somebody didn't travel the
- 7:59Speaker 6: road all and they took the way around, and yeah,
- 8:02Speaker 6: it seemed like it's a longer way, and you want
- 8:04Speaker 6: to make that other decision. But stay on the road
- 8:07Speaker 6: to success. It's under construction, man, That's just the way
- 8:10Speaker 6: it goes. Don't lose your patience and try to create
- 8:13Speaker 6: a shortcut for yourself. I'm gonna go away. Ain't nobody
- 8:16Speaker 6: ever gone way? Hold up, Pardoner, you really think you're
- 8:19Speaker 6: gonna do that?
- 8:19Speaker 1: Listen.
- 8:20Speaker 6: There's oftentimes a lot of rewards when you go the
- 8:24Speaker 6: least travel path, But the road to success is the
- 8:27Speaker 6: least travel path. That's what you keep getting mixed up.
- 8:30Speaker 6: You keep thinking if you go another way. No, No,
- 8:33Speaker 6: stay on the road to success. That is the least
- 8:36Speaker 6: travel path. It's under construction. You can go out there
- 8:40Speaker 6: with your machete if you want to talking about cutting
- 8:42Speaker 6: new trails. You think the road to success is under construction,
- 8:47Speaker 6: take the other route and get that machete out and
- 8:50Speaker 6: see how long you be out there trying to cut
- 8:52Speaker 6: a path. Sometimes, Man, you just got to stay patient.
- 8:56Speaker 6: The road to success has been traveled before by millions
- 8:59Speaker 6: of people in front of you, everybody that has some
- 9:02Speaker 6: setbacks in life. But don't get off the road to
- 9:05Speaker 6: success just because you having some setbacks, just because you
- 9:08Speaker 6: see some orange barrels up, just because there's some men
- 9:10Speaker 6: out there with vest on what they got to do
- 9:13Speaker 6: with you? Everybody, everybody that's trying to be successful, is
- 9:17Speaker 6: on that road. Your relationship with God helps you guide
- 9:22Speaker 6: yourself around the barrels. It helps you have the patience
- 9:26Speaker 6: to go around that way. He gonna get you back
- 9:29Speaker 6: where you gotta be. But you got to go out
- 9:31Speaker 6: there so you can learn some things. See, you need
- 9:34Speaker 6: God to make it in life because the road to
- 9:38Speaker 6: success is always under construction. He calms you down when
- 9:43Speaker 6: the barrels is up. He lets you know it's gonna
- 9:46Speaker 6: be all right. He rewards you with the patience to
- 9:48Speaker 6: finish because he gonna get you right back where you
- 9:51Speaker 6: need to be.
- 9:52Speaker 1: And you can get on which way you is going. Okay,
- 9:54Speaker 1: all right, y'all, we're gonna try that today.
- 9:56Speaker 7: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 6: Ladies and gentlemen, let me have your undivided attention.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Today is a great day. Today is a gift.
- 10:11Speaker 6: Today is an unexpected pleasantry. Why I've never said that before.
- 10:18Speaker 6: I have never said that before. Let me try it again.
- 10:21Speaker 6: Today is an unexpected pleasant try. You know what I'm
- 10:25Speaker 6: gonna do in twenty twenty six, I'm going to increase
- 10:28Speaker 6: my vocabulary. Yeah, And that sentence right there is one
- 10:34Speaker 6: I've never said in my life. Today is an unexpected pleasantry.
- 10:40Speaker 6: If you ask me tomorrow what I said, I promise
- 10:43Speaker 6: you I will not remember this. That's how disconnected I
- 10:46Speaker 6: am to that sentence right there. Sounds good and I
- 10:49Speaker 6: mean it from everything in my heart that I've never
- 10:51Speaker 6: said it before. Y'all, pray for me, give me strength God,
- 10:53Speaker 6: Ladies and gentlemen. It's Steve Harvey, mortershow Sherley Strawberry calling
- 10:57Speaker 6: for Realsissippi Monica.
- 10:59Speaker 1: To come back.
- 11:00Speaker 6: A kid Junior and the legit nephew, Thomas Junior, y'all,
- 11:04Speaker 6: what's on your mind today?
- 11:05Speaker 8: Man?
- 11:07Speaker 1: Uh? Can I some sunshine? Fly?
- 11:14Speaker 4: Holdie?
- 11:15Speaker 1: Yeah, you go ahead?
- 11:16Speaker 9: Can you give me by two point seven million?
- 11:19Speaker 1: Can you give back two point seven Can you give
- 11:20Speaker 1: that to me? That's what we do. I'm just gonna
- 11:24Speaker 1: ask if you have not that you ask me?
- 11:27Speaker 6: Well, let me ask you a question, Junior. Are you
- 11:30Speaker 6: asking me? Do I have the ability to give.
- 11:32Speaker 9: It to you absolutely or.
- 11:34Speaker 1: A willingness to give it to you?
- 11:37Speaker 9: Both of them?
- 11:38Speaker 1: Well, let's start with the last one.
- 11:40Speaker 6: I have no willingness to give you two point seven
- 11:43Speaker 6: million dollars because I don't think you're gonna have the
- 11:48Speaker 6: willingness to give it back.
- 11:53Speaker 1: See if you had a plan and ask you one
- 11:56Speaker 1: like that, people ask you. I haven't answer yes, yes,
- 11:59Speaker 1: I've had way more money than that asking me it's
- 12:02Speaker 1: not it didn't happen.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Who has the who would ask you?
- 12:08Speaker 1: Not even me? Half of me? One hundred thousand that
- 12:12Speaker 1: oh brother broke.
- 12:14Speaker 6: But see, you know, man, you gotta understand the tables
- 12:16Speaker 6: I've been blessed to see at and everybody at that table.
- 12:20Speaker 6: Some people is thereby nepotism. You know, if your father
- 12:24Speaker 6: is somebody, you get to see that at the table.
- 12:27Speaker 4: You know.
- 12:27Speaker 6: I've been at some big tables, man, and everybody's son.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Ain't rap right.
- 12:32Speaker 6: I'm just gonna tell you that right now, everybody's.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Knowing somebody famous.
- 12:39Speaker 9: You can't esc for two point four yell.
- 12:43Speaker 6: That's because you ain't gonna keep Because if you ask
- 12:45Speaker 6: famous people for that kind of money the purpose of
- 12:48Speaker 6: knowing it, you ain't gonna know them no more, because
- 12:49Speaker 6: they're gonna put you up at this man, ain't nobody
- 12:54Speaker 6: fore you. That'd be your last day at the table.
- 12:56Speaker 6: I bet you don't get at the table no more.
- 12:58Speaker 6: What you cannot do, it's going there. Please give people, yeah,
- 13:03Speaker 6: and then ask them for money. Now, what you can
- 13:06Speaker 6: do is ask them for methods and ways to make
- 13:11Speaker 6: that money.
- 13:11Speaker 1: They ain't got no problem sharing that.
- 13:13Speaker 6: But if you ask them to hand it to you,
- 13:15Speaker 6: they don't care what you're talking about.
- 13:17Speaker 1: What you know, No, they are done.
- 13:20Speaker 6: They walk straight away from you. Don't ask for the
- 13:23Speaker 6: fish sandwich, ask them to teach you how to fish.
- 13:26Speaker 1: That's lower the hook.
- 13:28Speaker 9: All right, Let's know the answer.
- 13:33Speaker 1: All right.
- 13:34Speaker 7: Coming up minutes after we will hear from the nephews
- 13:37Speaker 7: speaking of nepotism.
- 13:39Speaker 9: From the nephews. Hey, right after this.

- 15:11Speaker 4: Is that you?
- 15:12Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 15:13Speaker 4: That's me? But uh again, there's there must be some
- 15:16Speaker 4: clerical error typo because like I just told you, man,
- 15:20Speaker 4: I didn't boxes in Chenna. It's about seven boxes. But
- 15:24Speaker 4: I mean, I mean just looking at the total here
- 15:27Speaker 4: to add up to about six hundred something dollars, I mean,
- 15:29Speaker 4: I got flowers, no partner. We're just gonna I'm just
- 15:32Speaker 4: gonna take her to dinner and we're just gonna do
- 15:34Speaker 4: our thing. But there was there was there was no
- 15:37Speaker 4: delivery schedule from me enough hold especially not at at
- 15:41Speaker 4: seven o'clock at no partner, you got it. If there's
- 15:44Speaker 4: something wrong, well you are you so you're not gonna
- 15:47Speaker 4: be there? Are you not gonna be there tomorrow morning? Sir,
- 15:50Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I'm gonna be here. But uh, as far
- 15:53Speaker 4: as accepting a delivery that I didn't order and didn't
- 15:55Speaker 4: pay for, that's not happening.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Man.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Well let me tell you that got flowers, two boxes
- 16:02Speaker 4: that are lingerie, several boxes that are sex toys. Well,
- 16:07Speaker 4: all that stuff. I have all that stuff loaded to
- 16:09Speaker 4: be delivered tomorrow at seven am. And dude, obviously there's
- 16:15Speaker 4: a communication breakdown between you and me player because I
- 16:18Speaker 4: didn't order that, and right, but you tell me to
- 16:22Speaker 4: the But what the problem I'm having is that you're
- 16:25Speaker 4: telling me I have the right address. You know the
- 16:28Speaker 4: name of the person Kendrick, which is your wife. Right yeah, yeah,
- 16:33Speaker 4: so far so good man. But uh as far as
- 16:36Speaker 4: me ordering that, dude, I'm not. I'm not. I'm not
- 16:39Speaker 4: accepting it because I didn't pay for it. I did
- 16:42Speaker 4: not order. I mean, I mean it's already it's already paid.
- 16:46Speaker 4: Let me let me just look at the name here
- 16:48Speaker 4: on the here is here is right here. Okay, we
- 16:51Speaker 4: got Devn.
- 16:53Speaker 2: What would you say?
- 16:54Speaker 4: I said, Devon? That's that's who made the purchase. Oh no, no, no, no, okay,
- 17:00Speaker 4: that's my wife's ex husband. So either you and him,
- 17:04Speaker 4: are in cahoots with each other to do this and
- 17:07Speaker 4: try to upset me. But guess what you succeeded. All right,
- 17:11Speaker 4: So I'm gonna make thistal listen to you. I listen
- 17:17Speaker 4: to you, so you listen to me. This is what
- 17:19Speaker 4: I want to make abundantly clear to you. I understand
- 17:22Speaker 4: you have a job to do, but if you bring
- 17:25Speaker 4: those roses and all of that stuff past my house tomorrow,
- 17:28Speaker 4: this is what's gonna happen. Those roses, those storms. I'm
- 17:32Speaker 4: gonna put them somewhere so far up your rear end
- 17:35Speaker 4: that the only way that they see sunshine is when
- 17:38Speaker 4: you open your mouth. So do not, I repeat, do not.
- 17:42Speaker 4: You and Devin, y'all can take this and you can
- 17:45Speaker 4: do whatever y'all want with it. Y'all can play with
- 17:47Speaker 4: the second toys. Y'all can do whatever you are to
- 17:50Speaker 4: red roses, petals and all that other stuff. Y'all can
- 17:52Speaker 4: do what you need to do. Not show up at
- 17:55Speaker 4: my crib tomorrow, because it ain't gonna be a happy
- 17:58Speaker 4: Valentine's Day for nobody body involved. That's what I'm okay. Well,
- 18:03Speaker 4: here's the deal. As a delivery person, I am obligated
- 18:08Speaker 4: to make the drive. I have to make this drive
- 18:11Speaker 4: or then I don't get you know, I get chewed
- 18:13Speaker 4: out that I didn't do my job because this stuff. Okay,
- 18:16Speaker 4: so what would what would you rather be? Twoed out
- 18:18Speaker 4: or half throws up your rear end. Let's hold down,
- 18:22Speaker 4: let's flad down in. What you're not gonna do is
- 18:24Speaker 4: to hold off. You fen the do to some flexible
- 18:27Speaker 4: you bring up my bread. Okay, all right, I won't
- 18:31Speaker 4: do the flowers. I'll use the sex toys for you.
- 18:34Speaker 4: So you got a chic, you got flowers. You. Let's

- 22:14Speaker 7: the hour, and entertainment news Chris Brown throws shade at
- 22:19Speaker 7: Bad Bunny's performance.
- 22:21Speaker 9: We'll talk about that.
- 22:22Speaker 7: Kid Rock calls jay Z and NFL DEEI Higher, and
- 22:27Speaker 7: Megan the.
- 22:27Speaker 9: Stallion Yeah I know, just yeah.
- 22:31Speaker 7: Megan the Stallion surprised her man Clay Thompson on his birthday.
- 22:34Speaker 7: We'll talk about all of these stories at the top
- 22:37Speaker 7: of the hour, but right now it is time to
- 22:40Speaker 7: ask the clo ready Cloes. Yes, this is from Myra
- 22:47Speaker 7: in Lansing. Mira says, my husband talks in his sleep
- 22:51Speaker 7: when he's really tired. Well, last night he was making
- 22:54Speaker 7: loud sexual sounds. I wonder if he was dreaming of
- 22:57Speaker 7: having sex. We haven't had sex in a year. Was
- 23:00Speaker 7: he having a dream or was he reliving a recent experience?
- 23:05Speaker 6: Well, that's if you ain't had sex in a year,
- 23:09Speaker 6: what you want him to do? He in that dreaming body.
- 23:13Speaker 1: But you know, lady, you got to ask yourself a
- 23:15Speaker 1: question if you ever had sex in the year when
- 23:19Speaker 1: you go to your man about this subject. Now, if
- 23:21Speaker 1: you have a medical reason, I got you. You know,
- 23:24Speaker 1: something could have.
- 23:25Speaker 6: Happened, you know, set you back, surgeries, blah blah blah
- 23:29Speaker 6: blah blah, got all that. If that ain't the reason,
- 23:32Speaker 6: then when you go in there and you approach him
- 23:34Speaker 6: about his talking in his sleep and what he said
- 23:37Speaker 6: and all like that, you probably need to tread real
- 23:39Speaker 6: lightning because you might hear something you don't.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Want to hear. All I know is, don't wake me up.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Don't wake me up at least let me finish.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Don't do that, don't interrupt that, don't cut me off
- 23:49Speaker 2: like that, Let me finish.
- 23:51Speaker 1: If you wake me up.
- 23:53Speaker 6: You probably gonna hear something you really.
- 24:04Speaker 9: So that's it.
- 24:05Speaker 7: Okay, moving on, Moving on to the Trenda in Greensboro.
- 24:12Speaker 7: But Trenda writes, I got tickets to see a popular
- 24:14Speaker 7: comedian for my husband's birthday. I also paid for the
- 24:18Speaker 7: meet and greet. Comedian flirted with me right in front
- 24:21Speaker 7: of my husband. Why would he disrespect my husband like that? Oh, guys,
- 24:27Speaker 7: is this what comedians do?
- 24:29Speaker 9: That is her question.
- 24:30Speaker 1: No, no, no, it's not what comedians do.
- 24:33Speaker 6: What did your husband have a tag around his neck
- 24:37Speaker 6: that said, you know I'm her husband? You know, I
- 24:42Speaker 6: don't He may not even know that was your husband.
- 24:45Speaker 6: Dude in the meet and greet, Hey, what's happening?
- 24:47Speaker 1: How you doing? I see you looking good and just
- 24:50Speaker 1: didn't even.
- 24:51Speaker 6: Pay attention to the guy. But not, that's not what
- 24:53Speaker 6: comedians do. Weill, most of us don't even really care
- 24:56Speaker 6: for the meet and greet.
- 24:57Speaker 9: Tell you A and B.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Really wish you and your hoosband were going to get
- 25:06Speaker 1: in your car. They really was.
- 25:08Speaker 9: We won't after you get up stage.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Yeah, you're tying, you be you tied. Your brain is fried.

- 25:17Speaker 6: now here then you gotta take these pictures, and you
- 25:20Speaker 6: know they're nice people.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Most people backstage is pretty nice. But we want just
- 25:23Speaker 1: to be over you know. Okay, all right, but what
- 25:28Speaker 1: was your approach to the comedian? Oh, you meet and greet?
- 25:38Speaker 11: You were funny, she was in I love that joke
- 25:47Speaker 11: about Okay.
- 25:52Speaker 7: To Bianca and Wilmington, Bianca writes, my boyfriend and I
- 25:55Speaker 7: are going to dinner on Friday because he has to
- 25:59Speaker 7: work on Valentine's Day. I told him I'm going to
- 26:02Speaker 7: a Gallantines party on Valentine's Night while he works. He
- 26:05Speaker 7: had a fit and he doesn't want me to go.
- 26:08Speaker 9: What is his problem?
- 26:09Speaker 1: Okay, I don't understand. Huh, you don't know what.
- 26:15Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm gonna tell him. Yeah, Okay.
- 26:17Speaker 7: So Friday night she's going out to dinner with her
- 26:21Speaker 7: man for Valentine's Day, and then Saturday night she and
- 26:24Speaker 7: her girls. You know when the girls get together on
- 26:26Speaker 7: Valentine's Day, they call it Gallantine's Day because you get together,
- 26:30Speaker 7: you know, with the girls.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Okay, but they're not going on Valentine's Day for what reason?
- 26:34Speaker 9: Because he has to work. Her husband had boyfriend has
- 26:37Speaker 9: to work.
- 26:37Speaker 6: Okay, I got you Okay, So he mad because she
- 26:41Speaker 6: going out with the girls on gall Gallantine.

- 26:50Speaker 1: I mean, he's doing what he's doing.
- 26:51Speaker 6: He know he can't be there on the on the
- 26:54Speaker 6: actual day because he got to work, so he making
- 26:56Speaker 6: it up too on Friday. Now he mad because she
- 26:59Speaker 6: going on it.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Why are you mad? Dog? Yeah?
- 27:02Speaker 9: Why is he mad? That's what she wants to know.

- 27:34Speaker 1: For you know that that might be what it is.
- 27:37Speaker 7: Okay, all right, all right, well last one. We're moving
- 27:40Speaker 7: on to Runnell in Albany. Runelle Runnell writes, I used
- 27:45Speaker 7: my niece's discount to buy a purse for Valentine's Day.
- 27:49Speaker 7: The purse is for my mom, not for my wife.
- 27:52Speaker 7: My niece told my wife that I bought her a
- 27:54Speaker 7: great gift. I can't afford to get a purse for
- 27:57Speaker 7: my wife too? Will she be mad if my mom
- 28:00Speaker 7: is better?
- 28:02Speaker 6: Absolutely? Absolutely listen to me. Man, that's stupid. Why you
- 28:10Speaker 6: get your mom a colder gift? Then you got your wife?
- 28:14Speaker 4: Bro?
- 28:14Speaker 1: That don't make no sense. That don't make no sense.
- 28:18Speaker 6: Man, And for all y'all out there is fitting the

- 28:38Speaker 6: future with, you're saving with?
- 28:40Speaker 1: And all is here. Man, you are so stupid. I'm
- 28:48Speaker 1: gonna tell you what's wrong with you.
- 28:52Speaker 9: No don't, I don't.
- 28:53Speaker 6: I don't know if that's a mama's boy, but he dumb?
- 28:57Speaker 6: Why don't you it's not Valentine's Day yet? Switched gift though?
- 29:01Speaker 6: You give your wife the more expensive gift and then
- 29:04Speaker 6: give your mama and the other because now, dog, let
- 29:07Speaker 6: me explain some tea. If you go through with this, you,
- 29:11Speaker 6: this is God sending you a warning sitting.
- 29:14Speaker 7: Through you ignore the warning signal, and you go through
- 29:19Speaker 7: with this and give your mama that dope bag.
- 29:23Speaker 6: And then and then give your wife that coin purse.
- 29:26Speaker 6: I'll tell you right.
- 29:27Speaker 11: Now, coin person something, don't even want something.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Don't nobody want no more?
- 29:38Speaker 11: Don't nobody carry coins?
- 29:43Speaker 1: Right?
- 29:46Speaker 7: Wow?
- 29:47Speaker 6: Valentine's Day is for your girl. Now, if you want
- 29:51Speaker 6: to do something for your mama, own Valentine's there ain't
- 29:53Speaker 6: nothing wrong with that. But Valentine's Day is for your girl.
- 29:58Speaker 6: It's a romantic holiday. He ain't a family holiday. Mother's
- 30:02Speaker 6: Day is for your mama.
- 30:04Speaker 9: How come he doesn't know that, though, Steve, because he's stupid.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Day.
- 30:14Speaker 6: Your mama got a birthday coming, Your mama got Christmas,
- 30:16Speaker 6: and your mama.
- 30:17Speaker 9: Got this day.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Man, You got plenty of time fix your mama up.
- 30:21Speaker 9: Just ain't the time. This is yeah, all right, all right,
- 30:26Speaker 9: thank you. Colo.
- 30:27Speaker 7: Coming up at the top of the hour, we will
- 30:29Speaker 7: have some entertainment news for you right after this. You're
- 30:33Speaker 7: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Chris Brown says he's what
- 30:41Speaker 7: the game's been missing. Following Bad Bunnies halftime performance. Breezy
- 30:45Speaker 7: jumped into the conversation with a bold Instagram story, declaring, quote,
- 30:50Speaker 7: I think it's safe to say they need me to comment.
- 30:54Speaker 7: Rekindled the debate over whether Chris Brown should headline the
- 30:57Speaker 7: Super Bowl However, some social media followers suggested that Chris
- 31:01Speaker 7: Brown should be should read the room and expressed support
- 31:05Speaker 7: for Bad Bunny. Others defended Chris by stating that he
- 31:09Speaker 7: was not criticizing Bad Bunny, instead aim to send a
- 31:13Speaker 7: message to jay Z to book him as a performer.
- 31:16Speaker 1: What do you think not gonna happen.
- 31:19Speaker 9: It's not gonna happen because of its.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Be too much backlash with Chris even though he should
- 31:24Speaker 1: be forgiven by now. Then they don't forgive. They do
- 31:28Speaker 1: not forgive, and it's gonna be too much backlash. And
- 31:31Speaker 1: then the connection between Rihanna and jay Z, and then
- 31:35Speaker 1: the connection between Chris Brown and what happened with him
- 31:37Speaker 1: and Rihanna. They not gonna They're not gonna be able
- 31:40Speaker 1: to justify that because you think Bad Bunny got backlash?
- 31:45Speaker 6: If they put Chris Brown in the super Bowl. Boy,
- 31:48Speaker 6: the hypocrites that we are in this country, whoo whoo,
- 31:54Speaker 6: they're gonna bring it all up again.
- 31:56Speaker 5: Man.
- 31:56Speaker 6: Now, is Chris Brown a factor? You better know it?
- 32:01Speaker 6: And would he have a cold show? You better know it.
- 32:07Speaker 6: And should he be given the opportunity, you better know it.
- 32:11Speaker 6: But this country, this this all.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Them, man.
- 32:17Speaker 6: See Chris Brown can't come back and do everything he
- 32:21Speaker 6: will do, but Donald Trump to do anything he and
- 32:23Speaker 6: he convicted all this hill mass, all of it.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Ain't nobody saying nothing. Man.
- 32:32Speaker 12: They outraged about Bad Bunny twelve minutes in Spanish.
- 32:37Speaker 2: But now bad have threw paper towels at when he
- 32:39Speaker 2: got to the end that he should have done.
- 32:43Speaker 12: I raged about the Epstein files, But twelve minutes of Spanish.
- 32:48Speaker 6: What is amazing to me? It's the twelve thirteen minute
- 32:52Speaker 6: halftime show.
- 32:54Speaker 9: Why so.
- 32:57Speaker 13: Came?
- 32:57Speaker 6: I wanted to have time show to be over so
- 32:59Speaker 6: I get to the game. I was a joint watching
- 33:04Speaker 6: a new England get stumped like that.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Made my whole. I ain't want him to score at all.
- 33:11Speaker 6: Man, Look man, when they've had some halftime shows that
- 33:16Speaker 6: I didn't really ain't.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Golf Brooks been on halftime show before. I don't know. Oh,
- 33:26Speaker 1: Katy Perry and.
- 33:28Speaker 12: She said a note to bad Buddy, encouraging him and support.
- 33:32Speaker 6: I think I think Taylor Swift ought to be halftime show.
- 33:35Speaker 6: If you're putting on makea Stars. I'm surprised because Beyonce.
- 33:39Speaker 6: Beyonce was was strong with her.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Yes, you know, Prince.
- 33:45Speaker 12: Yeah, oh yes, yeah, yeah, for sure, Doctor Dre and
- 33:49Speaker 12: them when they did it, and then Kenny Lamar to me,
- 33:52Speaker 12: just shut it down last year he ate left no problem.
- 33:58Speaker 6: But you know it and left no crumbs after I
- 34:01Speaker 6: called my kids and they explained it to me because
- 34:04Speaker 6: when I was initially watching it, because I don't know
- 34:06Speaker 6: none of the lyrics, no way. You know, I'm not
- 34:09Speaker 6: really a rap fan, so I don't know any of
- 34:12Speaker 6: the lyrics anyway, So.
- 34:13Speaker 9: You're over there was share?
- 34:17Speaker 1: No, I ain't sure, look good? How all this? Share?
- 34:22Speaker 1: Seventy nine? She looked good. For seventy nine, she was fantastic.
- 34:26Speaker 9: She looks great.
- 34:27Speaker 6: I've been looking in the mirror. I've been thinking about
- 34:29Speaker 6: how I'm looking seventy ninety. I'm probably gonna have to
- 34:32Speaker 6: get something done though, I just.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Want to get there.
- 34:38Speaker 6: I ever looked at yourself in the mirror real close
- 34:41Speaker 6: and noticed that one of your eyes ain't the same size.
- 34:43Speaker 1: That's the other one.
- 34:44Speaker 9: That's your issue. Now, that's your issue.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Right now.
- 34:50Speaker 6: You better get on take a close look or one
- 34:52Speaker 6: of them one of them different?
- 34:55Speaker 9: Everything uneven?
- 34:58Speaker 1: All right?
- 34:59Speaker 7: Speaking of ja, kid Rock recently appeared on The Lord
- 35:02Speaker 7: Ingram Show on Fox, where He stated that the NFL
- 35:06Speaker 7: partnered with jay Z to oversee the halftime show the
- 35:11Speaker 7: annual halftime show, primarily to increase diversity in America's most
- 35:15Speaker 7: watched sporting event.
- 35:17Speaker 9: He further suggested, yeah what.
- 35:20Speaker 7: He further suggested that jay Z's appointment was because he
- 35:23Speaker 7: is black. Hid Rock said, in part quote nothing against
- 35:27Speaker 7: jay Z. I respect him for his hustle, you know,
- 35:29Speaker 7: his music, but it seems like there's a little bit
- 35:32Speaker 7: of a d ei hire there going on. He continued,
- 35:36Speaker 7: this is kid Rock still speaking. Oh, black guys love
- 35:39Speaker 7: jay Z, and of course I'm not that ignorant. I
- 35:41Speaker 7: know a lot of us love jay Z, not just
- 35:44Speaker 7: black guys.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Okay, so what's the point, Kid Rock? Yeah?
- 35:50Speaker 6: You you was the same Dee High for that halftime
- 35:54Speaker 6: Super Bowl.
- 35:55Speaker 1: They threw nobody went to four hundred people at it
- 36:00Speaker 1: because you was white, because you ain't no big drawl
- 36:06Speaker 1: no mo. You know what, man, here's the deal, man,
- 36:14Speaker 1: what they do on that side of the corners. Every
- 36:17Speaker 1: time a black gets a position, it's because they were black.
- 36:23Speaker 1: And so you're gonna totally ignore all.
- 36:25Speaker 6: The times that some white people had got positions because
- 36:30Speaker 6: they were white. If you look at the world we
- 36:35Speaker 6: live in. The reason DEEI was necessary was to force
- 36:41Speaker 6: corporate America to at least take a look at other
- 36:45Speaker 6: qualified people instead of putting your usual list together, which
- 36:49Speaker 6: never included us. That's what diversity and inclusion and equity
- 36:53Speaker 6: was all about, is to make you look around the
- 36:56Speaker 6: room because there are other qualified people instead of you
- 36:59Speaker 6: just stacking your list with your friends and nepotism and
- 37:02Speaker 6: all of that.
- 37:02Speaker 1: That's what it is for Now you done got rid
- 37:04Speaker 1: of that. You're back to doing make America grade again.
- 37:06Speaker 1: That's what you're.
- 37:07Speaker 7: Trying, all right, I have it. Twenty minutes after, here's
- 37:10Speaker 7: a question you can ponder. Have you ever avoided a

- 38:00Speaker 7: Twenty one Savage was walking alongside Kendall Gender to his
- 38:04Speaker 7: box suite at Kendall Jenner to his box suite at
- 38:08Speaker 7: Levi Stadium before Super Bowl sixty started. Now in the video,
- 38:12Speaker 7: you can see twenty one twenty one attempting to keep
- 38:16Speaker 7: his distance as Kendall also walks to her respective suite.
- 38:20Speaker 7: Fans noticed twenty one Savage was walking so close to
- 38:23Speaker 7: the wall that he was almost stuck to it as
- 38:27Speaker 7: he tried to stay far away from Kendall Jenner so
- 38:30Speaker 7: people wouldn't misconstrue him walking next to her as cheating
- 38:34Speaker 7: on his girlfriend. Latos smoking weed, smoking weed, You got
- 38:46Speaker 7: to lean on by yourself.
- 38:48Speaker 6: No, he's trying to hear a stick. Who's trying to
- 38:51Speaker 6: hide that stick from caramels? And then when he walked past,
- 38:54Speaker 6: he picked it up and smoked it again. Why cuts, man,
- 38:59Speaker 6: you got to smoke quiet walking. You got to smoke
- 39:02Speaker 6: on your way down. Then you're gonna get up in there,
- 39:05Speaker 6: you're gonna smoke some U Man, why don't you wait
- 39:07Speaker 6: till you get in the booth? Man, But you got
- 39:09Speaker 6: that's up a chance, man.
- 39:12Speaker 7: Yes, But but it looked like he was trying to,
- 39:17Speaker 7: you know, initially, that he was trying to stay away
- 39:19Speaker 7: from Kendles, so it wouldn't be no smoke in this
- 39:21Speaker 7: relationship anyway.
- 39:23Speaker 6: I think that's part of it. You know, maybe he didn't,
- 39:25Speaker 6: you know, because everybody don't want to get caught up
- 39:28Speaker 6: in that Kardashian right, right, right right, everybody don't want that.
- 39:33Speaker 9: Man, yep, going that hut.
- 39:38Speaker 7: Here's a question, though, have you guys ever been in
- 39:40Speaker 7: a situation that you had to avoid something, you know,
- 39:43Speaker 7: that could be viewed as the appearance of infidelity. You
- 39:46Speaker 7: weren't doing anything, but it looked crazy? Yeah, yeah all.
- 39:50Speaker 9: The time, Like what.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Table sitting at a table, sitting at a bar?
- 40:01Speaker 4: Man.
- 40:01Speaker 1: You gotta watch how you take pictures?
- 40:03Speaker 7: Yeah all that, man, Yeah, that's why you I think
- 40:08Speaker 7: you said this a while ago, Steve, that that's why
- 40:10Speaker 7: you never took pictures with just you and a female.
- 40:13Speaker 9: You would always have one of your staff members or
- 40:15Speaker 9: your sit man.
- 40:16Speaker 6: And when you see me take a picture, if my
- 40:19Speaker 6: hands is behind the woman, I always got my hands
- 40:22Speaker 6: up so you see my hands. Yeah, all, I got
- 40:25Speaker 6: my hands in front of me, front of me.
- 40:27Speaker 2: You know, I'm not with a man and a woman
- 40:31Speaker 2: and you put your hand around the woman. Put your
- 40:33Speaker 2: hand on the man on the man, show on the man.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Always do that whenever you would have coupled. I put
- 40:41Speaker 2: the girl in the middle.
- 40:42Speaker 6: I put my hand on his shoulder, squeezing while we
- 40:45Speaker 6: taking the picture. It ain't gonna be knowing. I don't
- 40:48Speaker 6: know where his hand was at bro I let him know.
- 40:52Speaker 1: I let him know. I don't.
- 40:53Speaker 10: I don't.
- 40:54Speaker 1: I don't mess around.
- 40:55Speaker 6: I try to stay out of that, you know, because yeah,
- 40:58Speaker 6: just take and prevention is worth.
- 41:01Speaker 1: A pound to you.
- 41:02Speaker 6: If you just take a couple of precautionary steps, you
- 41:04Speaker 6: can say yourself a lot of pain in this world. Yeah,
- 41:08Speaker 6: because they will take a pitch and put any kind
- 41:10Speaker 6: of caption on it.
- 41:11Speaker 9: Yeah, all right, good advice.
- 41:13Speaker 7: Coming up At thirty four minutes after the hour, We're
- 41:15Speaker 7: gonna check your voicemail Steve at eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve.
- 41:19Speaker 7: Right after this, you're listening, Steve Harvey Morning Show. It
- 41:28Speaker 7: is time now to check your voicemail Steve at eight
- 41:31Speaker 7: seven seven twenty nine. Steve, you can call, leave us
- 41:34Speaker 7: a message. You might just hear your call on the air.
- 41:36Speaker 9: You ready, Steve, Uh huh.
- 41:38Speaker 7: We previously told you about rapper Glorilla's sister accusing her
- 41:42Speaker 7: of not financially taking care of her family. Well, Larry
- 41:46Speaker 7: from Chicago left a message.
- 41:48Speaker 4: See why are you doing this? Less of Chicago man.
- 41:51Speaker 4: You hit that nail on your head when you say
- 41:54Speaker 4: they don't.
- 41:54Speaker 11: Pay that loan back.
- 41:56Speaker 4: Stay out of your life ground scale. Great great actor
- 42:00Speaker 4: from the movie Bronxdale. Oh my god, you hit today.
- 42:04Speaker 9: Larry was feeling that one.
- 42:05Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, not really show what scene in Bronx Tail
- 42:09Speaker 6: you talking about?
- 42:10Speaker 1: You know, you don't know the movie, but yeah, I
- 42:13Speaker 1: think I do. Tell me?
- 42:14Speaker 6: Is that what a young boy was getting boomed by
- 42:17Speaker 6: them for the Gangster mom? Yeah, yeah, that's what to be. Yeah,
- 42:22Speaker 6: I saw, you know, you know, well I've seen all
- 42:25Speaker 6: gangster movies.
- 42:28Speaker 1: It was the Clear Road, the bus dropp Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:32Speaker 6: I don't I don't know what they got to do
- 42:34Speaker 6: with glow Realer, but thank you, Larry.
- 42:37Speaker 9: He was just agreeing with you.
- 42:39Speaker 6: Okay, I have some time tying that in. But right,
- 42:44Speaker 6: I like Larry. I like the movie. I like glow Riller.
- 42:47Speaker 6: So I said, oh, yeah, you're.
- 42:48Speaker 1: Gonna make your work.
- 42:50Speaker 9: Shout out to my cousin Larry from Chicago.
- 42:53Speaker 7: All right, let's go to this female caller who was
- 42:57Speaker 7: successfully successful.
- 42:58Speaker 9: Family members comment, let's go.
- 43:00Speaker 14: Good morning, hey, Steve Harvey.
- 43:02Speaker 15: Yeah, you do have some obligation if you're successful, you
- 43:06Speaker 15: do have some obligations to your family, your mother and
- 43:09Speaker 15: your father. Yes, your siblings. Not necessarily, you.
- 43:13Speaker 14: Can help out. You can do what you can. I
- 43:15Speaker 14: can see you maybe having an allowance for them every
- 43:18Speaker 14: month or something like that. And when that's done, is done.
- 43:20Speaker 14: And then sometimes with your parents it can be really
- 43:23Speaker 14: iffy and stuff with them. So that's a kind of
- 43:26Speaker 14: a question to my two. But if you can take
- 43:28Speaker 14: care of your mother and your father or whatever they've
- 43:30Speaker 14: done to you and whatever whatever, somebody has to be
- 43:33Speaker 14: the bigger person, and you know, then you look out
- 43:36Speaker 14: for your parents. They did give you life.
- 43:39Speaker 6: Well, you know, I don't think I said you don't
- 43:41Speaker 6: help nobody. We was talking about obligation. Now everybody knows
- 43:46Speaker 6: I gave the world to my mom and daddy. And
- 43:49Speaker 6: so that's automatic for me and so the gorilla. But
- 43:53Speaker 6: you siblings, that's lined up with your hand out that
- 43:56Speaker 6: they have an obligation to you. That's an unfair requirements
- 44:02Speaker 6: And bruh, y'all need to get off that looking for
- 44:05Speaker 6: a hand out, cause somebody then climbed up to the
- 44:08Speaker 6: top and you didn't make it. Now they owe you
- 44:10Speaker 6: something for they climb. That's unfair, man, that's unfair. You
- 44:15Speaker 6: didn't put the time in, you didn't put the work in,
- 44:17Speaker 6: you didn't put the struggle in, the hardship in. But
- 44:19Speaker 6: now you want a reward for it because you know them. Man,
- 44:23Speaker 6: miss me with that. See that's the problem. Man, it's
- 44:27Speaker 6: that insense of entitlement that the family has. That's an
- 44:31Speaker 6: unfair burden on the one who made it. I don't
- 44:34Speaker 6: care if you got the lead position at the post office.
- 44:38Speaker 1: You don't owe your.
- 44:39Speaker 6: Family because you the lead person at the post office.
- 44:42Speaker 1: I'm sorry you don't.
- 44:44Speaker 6: And man, when my father was living, when my daddy
- 44:48Speaker 6: was living, he told them that boy don owe y'all nothing.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Quit begging him for his money.
- 44:52Speaker 6: My father used to tell him all that that boy
- 44:56Speaker 6: on owe y'all nothing. He worked for that, That boy long,
- 45:00Speaker 6: that's why he don't want to come around here. Oh
- 45:03Speaker 6: my daddy was strong with it. So no, I disagree
- 45:06Speaker 6: with that. You don't owe them now. If you want
- 45:09Speaker 6: to put them on the allowance, that's your business. But
- 45:11Speaker 6: do you owe them an allowance? And know you don't
- 45:14Speaker 6: know you don't. I have older brothers and sisters. They
- 45:18Speaker 6: are older than me, they have less than me. I
- 45:23Speaker 6: help them on a constant basis. You know, I got
- 45:27Speaker 6: a salary position for him and everything.
- 45:29Speaker 7: And that's because of your heart, not because you feel obligated.
- 45:34Speaker 6: Man, I owe you that now, but I have an
- 45:38Speaker 6: abundant so I don't mind. Well for you to put
- 45:41Speaker 6: the obligation on the person, that's unfair because most people
- 45:44Speaker 6: you're talking about ain't really even in glow Willer's position.
- 45:47Speaker 6: It's a lot of y'all got the pressure on y'all,
- 45:49Speaker 6: and y'all ain't making millions. That's what's funky.
- 45:53Speaker 14: Man.
- 45:53Speaker 9: God, all right, you're just.
- 46:04Speaker 7: Coming up, coming up next, And is the nephew with
- 46:08Speaker 7: today's prank phone call?
- 46:11Speaker 2: I got it by y'all waiting it's coming. It's gonna
- 46:14Speaker 2: be by Valentine. That's all I want you to know.
- 46:15Speaker 2: It's gonna be by Valentine.
- 46:17Speaker 9: Yeah, all right.
- 46:18Speaker 7: Prank phone call coming up right after this. You're listening
- 46:21Speaker 7: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the
- 46:29Speaker 7: top of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's
- 46:31Speaker 7: my Strawberry letter for today and the subject is I'm
- 46:35Speaker 7: in love with her Beyonce?
- 46:38Speaker 9: How did this hat? What's going on? We'll find it out.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Love other people. You can love other people. Y'all don't know.

- 47:00Speaker 1: Which brings me to my prank.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Now, JUNI, y'all want you to listen to this because
- 47:04Speaker 2: I'm finna say something profound. You know, every now and

- 48:07Speaker 2: These lads want to early arrival on their flowers. Okay,
- 48:12Speaker 2: them fly because Brenda get her flowers at eight and
- 48:15Speaker 2: she's showing them off the whole day and your girl
- 48:17Speaker 2: flowers ain't came till four thirty five. Oh, you are

- 52:46Speaker 2: Okay, I understand, I understand it. I'm just playing. I
- 52:50Speaker 2: guess Devil's advocate here.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Don't number twos need love to goodbye?

- 53:29Speaker 10: know that it is me. I'm coming for yo with
- 53:32Speaker 10: to stash, you know, stupid like my husband out here
- 53:36Speaker 10: cheating on me.
- 53:37Speaker 4: We got kids and okay, okay, let me ask you something.
- 53:40Speaker 1: Ain't your sister Latricia? Ain't that your sister?
- 53:45Speaker 4: Wait?
- 53:45Speaker 10: What you're saying that down there with my husband?
- 53:51Speaker 2: No? No, no, I'm not saying that at all.

- 56:52Speaker 7: All right, nephew, thank you. Subject I'm in love with
- 56:55Speaker 7: her fiance. All right, Dear Stephen Shirley, I am in
- 57:00Speaker 7: love with my best friends fiance. It's my fault that
- 57:04Speaker 7: they're even together. They are both my besties and we're
- 57:07Speaker 7: all twenty eight years old. My male best friend and
- 57:10Speaker 7: I have known each other since we were six. He
- 57:12Speaker 7: lived with my mom and I during high school because
- 57:15Speaker 7: his mom is an addict. We had sex at least
- 57:18Speaker 7: ten times when we were teenagers. He was my first.
- 57:21Speaker 7: He told me that he loves me and he always will.
- 57:25Speaker 7: After high school, he went to the army and he
- 57:27Speaker 7: called me almost every day and he'd always say he loved.
- 57:31Speaker 9: Me before he hung up.
- 57:33Speaker 7: He and I dated other people and He always told
- 57:35Speaker 7: me that those other girls didn't measure up to me.
- 57:38Speaker 9: He even said I was wifey.
- 57:40Speaker 7: Material time went on and I met my female best
- 57:44Speaker 7: friend in college.
- 57:45Speaker 9: We were roommates.
- 57:46Speaker 7: She knew of my male best friend, but I never
- 57:48Speaker 7: told her that I had a sexual relationship with him.
- 57:52Speaker 7: After graduation, she went back to her hometown of Virginia
- 57:56Speaker 7: two years ago. Two years ago, my male best friend
- 57:59Speaker 7: was stationed in Virginia, so I arranged for him to
- 58:03Speaker 7: meet my female bestie that lives there. They hit it
- 58:06Speaker 7: off right away, but I never expected them to fall
- 58:10Speaker 7: in love. They moved in together and got engaged all
- 58:14Speaker 7: in two short years. I found out about their engagement
- 58:17Speaker 7: over the phone. Like I'm an outsider, I was already
- 58:21Speaker 7: jealous of their relationship, but that news devastated me. He
- 58:25Speaker 7: knew that I'd be hurt when I found out they're engaged,
- 58:28Speaker 7: so maybe that's why he couldn't tell me before. He
- 58:31Speaker 7: proposed if I tell them how I feel, I could
- 58:34Speaker 7: lose both of them. I thought about telling her that
- 58:36Speaker 7: I had sex with him in the past. She might
- 58:39Speaker 7: even she might leave him alone after that. I cannot
- 58:43Speaker 7: let my best friends get married.
- 58:45Speaker 9: What do I do there is nothing you can do.
- 58:48Speaker 9: It's over. And why haven't you said anything before?
- 58:52Speaker 7: Now they are engaged to be married, so please stop
- 58:56Speaker 7: trying to sabotage their relationship. Mean to be harsh, but
- 59:01Speaker 7: this man does not want you. Okay, he's known you
- 59:04Speaker 7: since you were six. He doesn't want you. You guys
- 59:07Speaker 7: have had plenty of time to express how you feel
- 59:09Speaker 7: about each other. The best thing you can do now
- 59:12Speaker 7: is to wish them well and move on.
- 59:15Speaker 9: And how is she your bestie?
- 59:16Speaker 7: But she didn't know about what you had with your
- 59:18Speaker 7: male bestie before. Now listen, he knows what he did
- 59:23Speaker 7: with you and what he's doing with her. You said
- 59:27Speaker 7: he knew you would be hurt, and he did it anyway.
- 59:30Speaker 9: All right?
- 59:31Speaker 7: That should let you know right there how much he
- 59:33Speaker 7: does not care for you. He doesn't let this go.
- 59:38Speaker 6: Steve, Well, I see it a little bit differently. This
- 59:45Speaker 6: is a hard letter because young lady, what you're asking
- 59:49Speaker 6: Shirley and I to do is to advise you as
- 59:53Speaker 6: to what you said at the end is that I
- 59:58Speaker 6: cannot let my best friends getting married.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: What do I do? Why can't you let him get married? Why?
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: Because it's not you. I'm gonna tell you something about men.
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: If it was you, he would ask you to marry him.
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: I listen to me, young lady. I'm going to tell
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: you something that's the real truth about men, and I
- 1:00:19Speaker 6: want every woman out there to listen to me. There
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: is not a man alive who is dating or seeing
- 1:00:24Speaker 6: a woman who is saying to.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Who has ever said, oh, I could have done better
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: than this.
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: Yeah I could have I could have got one finer
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: than this, because you know why he would have done it.
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: The reason he didn't ask you to marry him is
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: because he don't want to marry you. That's the reason.
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: And he asked your best friend, who you introduced him
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: to see.
- 1:00:52Speaker 13: I don't.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: I don't understand.
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: I don't even understand why you're not seeing this because
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: it's right in front of your face.
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: I don't.
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: Y'all have known each other, y'all best friends, all your
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: three of y'all is twenty eight years old. He used
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: to live with you because mama was junkie, and then
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: he stayed at your house. But while y'all was at
- 1:01:11Speaker 6: your house, y'all had sex ten times when y'all was teenagers.
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: He was your first, you know, which is always kind
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: of I guess special.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: He told me that he loves me and he always will.
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: Probably true, he loves you and always will.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Hear what he didn't say.
- 1:01:33Speaker 6: He didn't say he was in love with you. You
- 1:01:38Speaker 6: can love a person and not be in love with them. Okay,
- 1:01:45Speaker 6: I'm just gonna I ain't okay.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Anyway, after high school he went to the army. He
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: called you almost every day, and always before he hung up,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: he said he loved you, but y'all was dating other people,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: you and him, so all this love.
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: It wasn't that serious, and it show wasn't in love,
- 1:02:12Speaker 6: because when you in love with somebody, you're not gonna
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: want them to date somebody else. But y'all always dating
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: each other because y'all just loved each other. And he
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: told me that the other girls he dated didn't measure
- 1:02:23Speaker 6: up to me. Okay, here player time went on. I
- 1:02:27Speaker 6: met my best friend in college, this girl we roommates.
- 1:02:30Speaker 6: She knew you had the male best friend, but I
- 1:02:32Speaker 6: never told her I had a sexual relationship with him.
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: How many times I got to tell y'all that a
- 1:02:37Speaker 6: man don't really want to be your friend. I don't
- 1:02:40Speaker 6: know how many times I got to say this man,
- 1:02:41Speaker 6: But y'all please stop writing me and then clarifying what
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: I said.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: A man don't want to be your friend? Fuck what anyway?
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: So I'm gonna tell you when we come back what
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: happened two years ago to male best friend got stationed
- 1:02:59Speaker 6: in Virginia and you arranged for them to meet your female.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Bestie and it all fell apart.
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: We'll be back, all right. We will have your response
- 1:03:09Speaker 7: coming up Part two. Steve at twenty three minutes after
- 1:03:12Speaker 7: the subject of today's strawberry letter, I'm in love with
- 1:03:14Speaker 7: her fiance right after this you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:03:57Speaker 7: Steve Let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject is I'm
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: in love with her fiance.
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: I'm in love with her fiance because you all lived
- 1:04:05Speaker 6: in the same house when y'all was teenagers, because his
- 1:04:08Speaker 6: mama was on drugs and your mama took you in.
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: But while y'all was in there being teenagers, he had
- 1:04:13Speaker 6: sex ten times.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: He was your first. He told you he loved you.
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: He later on went to join the army, and he
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: call you almost every day, and before y'all hung up,
- 1:04:23Speaker 6: he would tell you he loved you. Y'all dated other people. Keyword,
- 1:04:29Speaker 6: he told you he loved you. He did not tell
- 1:04:32Speaker 6: you he was in love with you. There is a difference, ladies.
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: There's two different kinds of love. I love Kill. I'm
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: not in love with Kill Junior. See, junior wife is
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: in love with him. He gets sick, she go down
- 1:04:47Speaker 6: there to the hospital.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: I ain't been down there yet.
- 1:04:52Speaker 9: But you love him.
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: Because I love him, But I ain't in love, so
- 1:04:56Speaker 6: I ain't got to sit around you when you SI.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: See.
- 1:04:58Speaker 6: That's the difference, and y'all need to understand this. I'm
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: sorry JR. Had to use you as an example. But
- 1:05:03Speaker 6: I'm trying to get through the people out here, sitting
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: up in here. Because yes, somebody told you he loved you.
- 1:05:09Speaker 6: He ain't tell you he was in love with you.
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: I ain't mean to hurt you, Junior, but you all right,
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: be all right.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: I'm in love with you.
- 1:05:17Speaker 6: You I don't want Junior, stay out of this now
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: now if you want to hear you in what what
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: do he say? What he saying?
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: I'm in love with you? I look, I'm in love
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: with you.
- 1:05:25Speaker 9: I'm here for you.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Whatever talking about?
- 1:05:29Speaker 9: Hey, stay focused? Say you don't be in love with me?
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Don what's wrong with you?
- 1:05:36Speaker 9: Stay focused? Steve back the letter.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: Hell no, you get on run of here with all that. Man,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Now you love me? He ain't no in love with me.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Don knock your ants up, your games.
- 1:05:50Speaker 9: Don't steve back to the letter.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Little man, be in love with me?
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: Man, you had that, And I'm telling you right now
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: you don't want this, don't want this. I'm all smoked
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: when he comes to that right there, I'm in less
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: than a year. God would, and I'll be seventy years old.
- 1:06:12Speaker 6: I still throw these hands. They flowed, but they still
- 1:06:16Speaker 6: got a little pop to him. But if I'm gonna
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: get folk goodes in. I'ma talk about this after this letter.
- 1:06:26Speaker 6: Should have never used your little sick in the example
- 1:06:29Speaker 6: of the first place. If I do he was gonna
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: do that, I'd have said it to Tommy. We had
- 1:06:36Speaker 6: sex at least ten times, and when we were teenagers,
- 1:06:39Speaker 6: and you know he was your first. Yeah, I'm gonna
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: say this again and shut your mouth. He told me
- 1:06:46Speaker 6: that he loves me and he always will, but he
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: didn't tell you he was in love. He called you
- 1:06:51Speaker 6: almost every day, and before y'all hung up, you say
- 1:06:54Speaker 6: you loved each other. Then you said he and I
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: dated other people, and he always told me that the
- 1:06:59Speaker 6: other girls didn't measure up to me. When people are
- 1:07:02Speaker 6: in love, they don't see other people and they are
- 1:07:05Speaker 6: not okay with the other people seeing other people.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: So now y'all just got a friendship.
- 1:07:11Speaker 6: That's love. He said I was wifey material. He didn't
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: say you was his wifey material. Time went on. I
- 1:07:22Speaker 6: met my other best friend in college. Y'all was college roommates,
- 1:07:25Speaker 6: two girls. She knew you had a male best friend.
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: He got stationed in Virginia, and so y'all went over
- 1:07:30Speaker 6: there and you introduced me. So now you arranged for
- 1:07:34Speaker 6: them to meet your female bestie that lives there in Virginia.
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: They hit it off right away, but I never expected
- 1:07:41Speaker 6: them to fall in love. Oh you thought they were
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: just gonna love each other like you and him. No, no, no,
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: they fell in love. They moved in together. They got engaged,
- 1:07:55Speaker 6: all in two short years. Now, all these years you'd
- 1:07:58Speaker 6: have known him, y'all ever move in together? All these
- 1:08:03Speaker 6: years you know on him that he ever asked you
- 1:08:05Speaker 6: to marry him. No, that's because he loved you. He
- 1:08:09Speaker 6: was not in love with you. I found out about
- 1:08:13Speaker 6: their engagement over the pune, Like I'm in the outsider.
- 1:08:17Speaker 6: Why was you supposed to find out? You thought they
- 1:08:20Speaker 6: gonna buy you a ticket fly year in for him?
- 1:08:25Speaker 6: He spent all his money on that ring. He soldier,
- 1:08:27Speaker 6: his talimanion and all that beiers. He ain't got no
- 1:08:30Speaker 6: money fly you in.
- 1:08:32Speaker 9: Yeah, she's feeling some kind.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Of way anyway.
- 1:08:35Speaker 6: I was already jealous of the relationship, but that news
- 1:08:39Speaker 6: devastated me. He knew I'd be hurt when I found
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: out they was engaged. So maybe that's why he couldn't
- 1:08:45Speaker 6: tell me before he proposed a man. Listen, to me,
- 1:08:48Speaker 6: a man don't need your permission to ask another woman
- 1:08:51Speaker 6: to marry him. Why he ain't tell me before he
- 1:08:55Speaker 6: proposed because it wasn't your business.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: He didn't need He didn't.
- 1:08:59Speaker 6: Seek your approval because your approval is not required. If
- 1:09:05Speaker 6: I tell them how I feel, I could lose both
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: of them.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: Lady, they gone. They gone. If I tell them how
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: I feel, I could lose both of them.
- 1:09:17Speaker 6: I thought about telling her that I had sex with
- 1:09:19Speaker 6: him in the past. She might leave him alone after that,
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: and he gonna be through with help too. I just
- 1:09:25Speaker 6: want you to be clear now when you do that,
- 1:09:28Speaker 6: he gonna be through with you anyway. I cannot let
- 1:09:31Speaker 6: my best friends get married. What do I do? Look,
- 1:09:34Speaker 6: they gonna get married. You're talking about losing both of them.
- 1:09:37Speaker 6: They gone.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: The best thing you could do is get in the
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: wed all right now, here's what I propose that it'll
- 1:09:43Speaker 6: make you feel special. Ask her can you be the bridesmaid?
- 1:09:47Speaker 6: And ask him can you be the best man? It
- 1:09:49Speaker 6: happened like it because they gone. You got something talk
- 1:09:53Speaker 6: about after this?

- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Curling?
- 1:11:05Speaker 9: Can you explain curling to what's curling?
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: Evolved with ice.
- 1:11:10Speaker 6: One shoe is flat and they use it to slide
- 1:11:15Speaker 6: on the other one has traction on it. Everybody has
- 1:11:18Speaker 6: to be a good sweeper with a broom, and everybody
- 1:11:21Speaker 6: has to know that the right speed to throw the stove,
- 1:11:26Speaker 6: which is the round thing with the handle on it.
- 1:11:28Speaker 6: Whichever way you turn the handle is the way that
- 1:11:31Speaker 6: the rock will spin going down the ice.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: And create a curvature.
- 1:11:35Speaker 6: If you want the rock to go faster, you have
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: to sweep harder to clear the ice, which makes the
- 1:11:40Speaker 6: rock slide a little bit longer. If you want it
- 1:11:42Speaker 6: to slow down, don't don't sweep. Is that why ain't
- 1:11:45Speaker 6: no more black people in this hill? I don't understand,
- 1:11:48Speaker 6: because we could be weighing that fout, but we know
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: how to throw it off, dog dog.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: We had that ice, So shine it down there.
- 1:12:00Speaker 6: That's curling, and then that center line that Chris crosses.
- 1:12:04Speaker 6: The stone that's closest to that line in any direction
- 1:12:08Speaker 6: gets a point. If it's anything outside of the blue,
- 1:12:11Speaker 6: it will not score. Do you understand that?
- 1:12:14Speaker 9: Okay, So the goal is to get it in the.
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: Middle if you can, but the other goals is to
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: block them and then if you your goal is to
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: have the last stone, which is called the hammer. If
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: you have the hammer, which means you have the last throw,
- 1:12:30Speaker 6: you have the last say so when you can knock
- 1:12:32Speaker 6: the most stones out of the circle, and yours could
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: be in there for the point.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: And I just want you all know that the Americans get.
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: Through it naturally. Right now, huh wat what they're going
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: to the firm? The mixed doubles is going to the finals.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but what did I miss? Clearly your segment.
- 1:12:53Speaker 6: No, no, hey Tommy, you don't worry about this. You
- 1:12:54Speaker 6: don't know nothing about this. I must have been at
- 1:12:59Speaker 6: work and something happened because they was losing. They couldn't
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: whoop nobody minute ago America that made a comeback. According
- 1:13:06Speaker 6: to the other white dude on my show, which we
- 1:13:08Speaker 6: are the only ones who is talking about curly because
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: my white friend Dave know about this stuff. That the
- 1:13:15Speaker 6: black co host on my show need to stay out
- 1:13:18Speaker 6: this second. So let me bring you up to date
- 1:13:20Speaker 6: on the ski in that the giant slalom. Maria Shriver.
- 1:13:24Speaker 6: That ain't her real name, but that sound like it.
- 1:13:27Speaker 6: Maria Shriver, That's what I thought her name was. She
- 1:13:30Speaker 6: was the top American skill. Her came down the hill
- 1:13:33Speaker 6: with the last one to ski and had a chance
- 1:13:35Speaker 6: to meddle.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: She missed it and wound up in fourth place.
- 1:13:39Speaker 9: Maria Shriver can.
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: Together.
- 1:13:44Speaker 6: You had to get the names together yourself. But she's
- 1:13:47Speaker 6: an American skill. Her name might be Belinda Shrivers, but
- 1:13:53Speaker 6: I don't know what her name is pretty sure, because
- 1:13:57Speaker 6: I've never met a white woman named Belinda.
- 1:14:00Speaker 7: All Right, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:14:02Speaker 7: a man on social media needs some advice, he says.
- 1:14:05Speaker 7: My brother contributes nothing. We'll talk about that right after this.
- 1:14:09Speaker 7: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is
- 1:14:16Speaker 7: from DeAndre on Steve Harvey FM. DeAndre says, I still
- 1:14:20Speaker 7: live at home along with my older brother and my
- 1:14:22Speaker 7: younger sister, who's still in high school. Most of my
- 1:14:25Speaker 7: extra income goes toward helping my parents and covering costs
- 1:14:28Speaker 7: for my sister, who competes on an elite travel volleyball team,
- 1:14:32Speaker 7: which means a lot of costly out of state tournament.
- 1:14:35Speaker 9: I don't resent supporting her, and I know my parents
- 1:14:38Speaker 9: are doing.
- 1:14:38Speaker 7: Their best, but it's hard not to notice that my
- 1:14:41Speaker 7: older brother also lives here and contributes absolutely nothing. Everyone
- 1:14:46Speaker 7: else helps keep the household running and makes sacrifices so
- 1:14:50Speaker 7: my sister can keep competing while he just takes advantage
- 1:14:54Speaker 7: of it. Should I step to him and ask him
- 1:14:56Speaker 7: to contribute? Or should I move out?
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: Absolutely? Absolutely?
- 1:15:01Speaker 9: Absolutely absolutely?
- 1:15:04Speaker 6: Or yeah, you should step to your brother, or the
- 1:15:07Speaker 6: next option is to move out and just send your
- 1:15:10Speaker 6: sister to help.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: That you want to send her?
- 1:15:13Speaker 9: Okay, uh huh.
- 1:15:15Speaker 6: I'm not taking care of no grown able body, man.
- 1:15:17Speaker 6: That's what I'm not going to do. I'm not going
- 1:15:20Speaker 6: to do that.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: Even though I do that. What I'm inside voice.
- 1:15:26Speaker 7: Was talking, Yeah, that's the first time, maybe in a
- 1:15:30Speaker 7: long time, you've done that.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I just said something and I realized and I'm doing that.
- 1:15:40Speaker 6: As soon as I said it, I went, hey, you're
- 1:15:45Speaker 6: doing that.
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: What is you talking about?
- 1:15:47Speaker 6: You would never support a grown what?
- 1:15:52Speaker 9: Okay?
- 1:15:53Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, but you should step in and say something
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: or move out?
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Uh okay, hey man, everybody kicking in around here. But
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: you what's up? Bro?
- 1:16:05Speaker 6: You my big brother. Man, you ain't set an example
- 1:16:08Speaker 6: for me, for our little sister. It's a disappointment to
- 1:16:11Speaker 6: our parents. Man, what you're doing, Broy. You gotta step up.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: Man. Brothers can have that conversation.
- 1:16:18Speaker 6: I ain't never had to say that to my brothers
- 1:16:20Speaker 6: because it just there's no way you was in my
- 1:16:23Speaker 6: daddy's house.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: It wasn't working.
- 1:16:24Speaker 6: I've been working since I was ten years so, hey,
- 1:16:27Speaker 6: I ain't never seen my brother not have a job,
- 1:16:29Speaker 6: not my brother daddy that you're gonna do something though
- 1:16:35Speaker 6: a dog? What you're talking about, Dane Hine? You better
- 1:16:38Speaker 6: get on there in that car wash? You better do something?
- 1:16:41Speaker 9: Okay?
- 1:16:41Speaker 7: All right, all right, we have time for another one, Steve.
- 1:16:44Speaker 7: This is from Nicole and Steve barbiefm. The cole says,
- 1:16:47Speaker 7: my husband and I are equal partners in our marriage
- 1:16:50Speaker 7: and our finances. Recently, his parents have needed some financial help,
- 1:16:54Speaker 7: but his dad will only discuss it with my husband
- 1:16:56Speaker 7: and refuses to include me in the conversation. My husband
- 1:17:00Speaker 7: told him that any decision would need to involve me too.
- 1:17:03Speaker 7: His dad got offended and said it was quote family
- 1:17:07Speaker 7: business and didn't concern me.
- 1:17:09Speaker 9: Am I overreacting?
- 1:17:10Speaker 7: Since he's asking for our help, should I insist that
- 1:17:13Speaker 7: I'd be part of the conversation and decision.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: Well, here's the deal.
- 1:17:18Speaker 6: His father's old school, his father old school he'dne went
- 1:17:22Speaker 6: to his son about the decision that he needed to
- 1:17:25Speaker 6: help with his son, your son who thene got into
- 1:17:29Speaker 6: this new style relationship where everything fifty to fifty, which
- 1:17:32Speaker 6: is not and decided that you have to be included.
- 1:17:37Speaker 6: The father's offended because, hey, man, I'm coming to you
- 1:17:39Speaker 6: like a man. I raised you to be a man.
- 1:17:41Speaker 6: This is us talking.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: He ain't saying that he shouldn't confide in you, but
- 1:17:46Speaker 6: in him his pride. Don't want to come in here
- 1:17:49Speaker 6: and ask his probably pride don't want to ask his
- 1:17:54Speaker 6: daughter in law for no help. Yeah, just keep it
- 1:17:57Speaker 6: between the men and do it like that. You shouldn't
- 1:17:59Speaker 6: be offended by that. You should have to understand that's
- 1:18:01Speaker 6: the old school way of doing stuff. You know, like
- 1:18:04Speaker 6: if I fell on hard times, I wouldn't go to
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: my son and then sit I ask his wife for
- 1:18:09Speaker 6: some help. I asked my son and then remind him
- 1:18:12Speaker 6: of what all I've done for you, and if it
- 1:18:14Speaker 6: wasn't thing, no way, So you know, don't hate me.
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: Have to say that marriage is never fifty to fifty.
- 1:18:22Speaker 6: I don't know why y'all keep trying to make it
- 1:18:24Speaker 6: that marriage is eighty five. Fifteen women get eighty five,
- 1:18:31Speaker 6: we get fifteen, Go over there and.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: Get your fifteen.
- 1:18:33Speaker 6: Make yourself happy, get yourself a little man cave, a
- 1:18:36Speaker 6: little garage space, and deal with it.
- 1:18:40Speaker 7: Yeah, your money is mine and my money is money,
- 1:18:42Speaker 7: as your money is out.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: I ain't never seen that fifty to fifty work. That's
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: just so nice.
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: All right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:18:52Speaker 7: Show coming up.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: Well, is it fifty to fifty at your house.

- 1:27:04Speaker 6: and really and I have, I've made a really concerted
- 1:27:07Speaker 6: effort in twenty twenty six to care even less because man, look, man,
- 1:27:12Speaker 6: oh I'm fly, right, you know, I'm like really fly,
- 1:27:15Speaker 6: and I'm sixty nine, yes, but I'm like, I'm going
- 1:27:19Speaker 6: on like right now, ten months away from being seventy,
- 1:27:22Speaker 6: and that's a big number.
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: I don't even know if seventy put you in.
- 1:27:26Speaker 6: The unk category no more, because I hear him calling
- 1:27:30Speaker 6: dudes in the late forties and fifties unk. So in seventies, man,
- 1:27:34Speaker 6: I'm seventy. You really in that old man category. You know,
- 1:27:39Speaker 6: at seventy, that's you, and that you pass O g
- 1:27:44Speaker 6: oh agut what that probably just you know or ogre
- 1:27:53Speaker 6: something like that. But I'm proud of that.
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:27:56Speaker 6: I mean, you know, I'm just talking. You know, I'm
- 1:27:58Speaker 6: happy with it either way. But Jamal is right, man.
- 1:28:01Speaker 6: But you know what, man, you just get tired sometimes
- 1:28:04Speaker 6: because when you have good intent and then somebody come
- 1:28:07Speaker 6: up in here, you are not gotting up. You ain't
- 1:28:09Speaker 6: got you a hypocrite. Blah blah blah blah blay man,
- 1:28:11Speaker 6: miss me, miss me. I don't respond to the internet anymore.
- 1:28:16Speaker 6: But when you call in on this radio show and
- 1:28:17Speaker 6: you leave a voicemail on eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve,
- 1:28:21Speaker 6: I'm probably gonna say something back to you because obviously
- 1:28:24Speaker 6: you listening, and you listening enough to have your opinion.
- 1:28:27Speaker 6: So here's mine. I'm gonna try to do better, Jamal,
- 1:28:31Speaker 6: just like I said I was gonna do.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: I really am brother.
- 1:28:33Speaker 6: I appreciate brothers like you who are real men, you understand,
- 1:28:37Speaker 6: who stand up and speak on my behalf sometime. Cause look, man,
- 1:28:41Speaker 6: I know I'm barbershop conversation all the time. But you
- 1:28:45Speaker 6: know these people in these barber shops, man, that have
- 1:28:48Speaker 6: never met me, that have an ill opinion of me.
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: That's crazy to me.
- 1:28:52Speaker 6: And you know why it's crazy, man, because I have
- 1:28:55Speaker 6: spent my life under the tutelage of my father, Slick Harvey,
- 1:28:59Speaker 6: who raised me and my brothers to be men. I'm
- 1:29:03Speaker 6: talking about real men to the cold now. I have
- 1:29:07Speaker 6: failed many times at women. I have failed me. I've
- 1:29:11Speaker 6: made thousands of mistakes with women. I got it wrong
- 1:29:16Speaker 6: over and over again. But you know what I ain't
- 1:29:19Speaker 6: got wrong though, I ain't this manhood. I got all
- 1:29:23Speaker 6: of it. I got all the lessons. I know all
- 1:29:26Speaker 6: the rules, I know all the codes, and I have
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: honored them all. They ain't a man living on this
- 1:29:32Speaker 6: earth that can say I backstabbed him.
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: That is not a single soul.
- 1:29:37Speaker 6: The stories that's out there by me backstabbing somebody, they're
- 1:29:41Speaker 6: just not true. But I ain't got time to address
- 1:29:44Speaker 6: all that because you don't know. And so man, I
- 1:29:47Speaker 6: just keep it moving because when it come to manhood,
- 1:29:50Speaker 6: I got that understood. And when you in these barbershops
- 1:29:53Speaker 6: and you out there talking about me and you don't
- 1:29:55Speaker 6: know me. I know it's something wrong with you because
- 1:29:58Speaker 6: I'm a man's man. I really am man, and I
- 1:30:02Speaker 6: ain't never really met a man. Man that don't really
- 1:30:05Speaker 6: like me that we've had a conversation with ain't nobody.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: I've never had a conversation with a man. And he
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: walked away.
- 1:30:11Speaker 4: Man.
- 1:30:11Speaker 6: I got through talking to him. Man, I can't stand him. No,
- 1:30:14Speaker 6: you can't stand me if you don't know me. Now,
- 1:30:16Speaker 6: you might not like the way I say things, or
- 1:30:19Speaker 6: you might not like my opinion on something, but you
- 1:30:22Speaker 6: can't check me.
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: As far as manhood go.
- 1:30:25Speaker 6: I'm under that's beyond reproach, and my pride as a
- 1:30:30Speaker 6: man won't allow you to let me. I would just
- 1:30:33Speaker 6: won't allow you to do it. Man, I'm just not man.
- 1:30:37Speaker 6: You know, there's a guy on the internet I was
- 1:30:39Speaker 6: scrolling through the other day and he made a homophobic
- 1:30:42Speaker 6: remark about me. I'm not gonna restate it, but bruh,
- 1:30:46Speaker 6: I wanted to find I wanted to get at him
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: so bad and go, bruh, what you're talking about me?
- 1:30:55Speaker 5: Man?
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: Do you know what? Bruh?
- 1:30:57Speaker 6: And I already know he wasn't man enough to say
- 1:30:59Speaker 6: that to my face. But that's just me and you know,
- 1:31:02Speaker 6: we have that pride, you know, And I have nothing
- 1:31:04Speaker 6: against with other people with who they choose to love
- 1:31:07Speaker 6: and nothing like that. I work with him. I hire
- 1:31:09Speaker 6: people have had different sexual prefaces. That's that's not a
- 1:31:12Speaker 6: concern of mine. But when you come over here to me, though,
- 1:31:15Speaker 6: and you come to me and about me and mine,
- 1:31:18Speaker 6: I'm real serious about me and mine and that's just
- 1:31:21Speaker 6: me as a man. I'm gonna stand on that all
- 1:31:23Speaker 6: day long, that I'm him when he comes to that
- 1:31:27Speaker 6: right there. So Jamal, I appreciate brothers like you defending me,
- 1:31:31Speaker 6: telling me to keep my head up, don't worry about them,
- 1:31:33Speaker 6: and I'm gonna try to do better. Brother, I'm gonna
- 1:31:35Speaker 6: try to do better. But if you challenge my manhood,
- 1:31:39Speaker 6: I can't see you, though, keep it on the internet.
- 1:31:42Speaker 6: Because I can't see you. Keep it on the internet
- 1:31:45Speaker 6: right where your weak need to be. Father, God help
- 1:31:48Speaker 6: me as I gain in my walk that I stumbled through.
- 1:31:51Speaker 6: So well, talk to God today because obviously you don't
- 1:31:56Speaker 6: want I want to hear from me, So just talk
- 1:31:58Speaker 6: to God.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: He loved to hear from. Don't btail all.
