Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome it. His verdict with Ted Cruz Weekend Review. Ben
- 0:04Speaker 1: Ferguson with you, and these are the big stories that
- 0:07Speaker 1: you may have missed that we talked about this week.
- 0:09Speaker 1: First up this week, it was a bombshelf that the
- 0:12Speaker 1: media refused to report on, and that was the fact
- 0:14Speaker 1: that Scott Kirby at the White House said he was
- 0:17Speaker 1: quote not shocked by the FBI coming out and saying
- 0:20Speaker 1: that terrorism is at a whole other level when it
- 0:23Speaker 1: comes to the threat in this country. Why because the
- 0:26Speaker 1: open southern border up next in a shock. Yes, Iran
- 0:31Speaker 1: is selling a ton of oil right now and much
- 0:34Speaker 1: of it is in violation of sanctions. So why is
- 0:37Speaker 1: the White House not standing up to Iran? And also
- 0:39Speaker 1: at the same time, why is the White House and
- 0:41Speaker 1: their policies deliberately making Iran wealthy while putting a hardship
- 0:47Speaker 1: on Americans through their obsession with green alternative energy. And finally,
- 0:53Speaker 1: they're coming for your kids like never before, at the
- 0:56Speaker 1: university level, at the high school's, junior highs, and even
- 1:00Speaker 1: elementary schools. Liz Wheeler joins us to talk about her
- 1:03Speaker 1: new book and what you need to know about what
- 1:05Speaker 1: they're doing with your children. It is the Weekend Review
- 1:09Speaker 1: with Ted Cruz, and it starts right now. There was
- 1:12Speaker 1: a question that was asked of Kirby at the White
- 1:17Speaker 1: House about our open border, about how unsecure it is
- 1:21Speaker 1: and now not about the illegal immigrants necessarily coming across,
- 1:24Speaker 1: but the terrorists that are coming across, and he was
- 1:27Speaker 1: forced to answer the question. I think honestly that yes,
- 1:30Speaker 1: he is concerned.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Listen, YEPBI director said today the ongoing war in the
- 1:34Speaker 2: Middle East has raised the threat of an attack against
- 1:37Speaker 2: Americans in the United States to a whole another level.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Let's just stop there for a second. When you heard that, center,
- 1:45Speaker 1: how shocked were you by that? So I wasn't, but
- 1:51Speaker 1: then admitting that it's at a whole other level, I
- 1:53Speaker 1: was shocked by that type of candid answer from anybody
- 1:56Speaker 1: in this administration.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Well, my thought was immediate, Holy crap, what does the
- 2:02Speaker 3: FBI know that we don't know, because just weeks or
- 2:08Speaker 3: months ago, the FBI was saying the greatest threat to
- 2:12Speaker 3: public safety is white supremacists in America. And give me
- 2:17Speaker 3: a friggin break, listen. Nazis and klansmen are idiots and
- 2:20Speaker 3: bigots there, They're imbeciles. I oppose them wholly and unequivocally.
- 2:25Speaker 3: But there's not a rise of Nazis in America. Like, Okay,
- 2:30Speaker 3: you got like six Yahoos in some bar in somewhere
- 2:34Speaker 3: in America that are going whoohoo. But like in the
- 2:40Speaker 3: real world, that is not a rising threat. And yet
- 2:43Speaker 3: the politicized Biden Department of Justice and FBI said that's
- 2:47Speaker 3: the threat. And I was always like, okay, what about
- 2:51Speaker 3: radical Jihadis who pledged that they want to murder all
- 2:54Speaker 3: of us, who have committed horrific acts of terrorism all
- 2:58Speaker 3: across the globe, who carried out nine to eleven? Do
- 3:01Speaker 3: you not think they're a greater threat? And until October seventh,
- 3:06Speaker 3: until the attack on Israel, the Biden DOJ and the
- 3:09Speaker 3: Biden FBI said nope, no, no, Johannis are just oki doki,
- 3:14Speaker 3: no problem at all. We're just concerned that the Ku
- 3:17Speaker 3: kus Klan is coming back. And I'm like, okay, that's absurd.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Now they've changed their talking points. So this week the
- 3:29Speaker 3: FBI went before the House and said, Wow, there is
- 3:32Speaker 3: a real risk of Hamas and hesbal A terrorists coming
- 3:36Speaker 3: across the border. Now listen, this podcast has covered this.
- 3:40Speaker 3: I have said repeatedly that I think there is a
- 3:42Speaker 3: greater risk of a major terrorist attack on the United
- 3:47Speaker 3: States than there has been at any time since September eleventh.
- 3:53Speaker 3: And we did a whole podcast on the written memo
- 3:59Speaker 3: from Customs and Border Patrol instructing border patrol agents be
- 4:03Speaker 3: on lookout for Hamas, for Hesbola, for Palestinian Islamic jihad.
- 4:09Speaker 3: They're going to try to hide who they are and
- 4:11Speaker 3: they're coming here to commit acts of terror. And so
- 4:14Speaker 3: when I see the FBI saying this, my reaction is like,
- 4:18Speaker 3: holy crap, they know stuff. For them to change their
- 4:22Speaker 3: political talking points, frankly takes my level of concern from
- 4:27Speaker 3: an eight to an eleven.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Well, and that's what Kirby was also when he answered this,
- 4:33Speaker 1: it was a very different answer. Remember that's the same
- 4:35Speaker 1: my orchis had said, the border is secure. The border
- 4:38Speaker 1: is secure. And now they're saying, not only know is
- 4:40Speaker 1: it not admitting it's not. Now they're saying they're worried
- 4:43Speaker 1: about terror threat to keep listening.
- 4:45Speaker 2: In the United States to a whole another level, has
- 4:48Speaker 2: the White House considered the possibility that a terrorist could
- 4:51Speaker 2: be in the country right now after crossing the southern border, Peter, we.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Are always concerned about the potential presence on US soil
- 5:01Speaker 4: of terrorists coming from overseas. That's something we're always worried about.
- 5:06Speaker 2: But there was this bulletin last week the CBP in
- 5:10Speaker 2: San Diego said militants associated with the Israel Hamas war
- 5:14Speaker 2: may be potentially encountered at the south.
- 5:16Speaker 4: We'll talk about the San Diego.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Is there any heartburn around yet? Six hundred thousand known
- 5:23Speaker 2: godaways just in the last fistful year. Is there any
- 5:27Speaker 2: heartburn about leaving the border in such a condition that
- 5:32Speaker 2: one of those six hundred thousand could.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Be a terrorist.
- 5:35Speaker 4: So let me just break this down for you just
- 5:36Speaker 4: a little bit here. First of all, I can't speak
- 5:38Speaker 4: to this intelligence report that was leaked to the media.
- 5:42Speaker 4: I wouldn't do that. I can tell you that we
- 5:45Speaker 4: are constantly monitoring as best we can all ports of
- 5:49Speaker 4: entry to the country for the potential arrival of anybody
- 5:54Speaker 4: who might wish us harm. And one of the things
- 5:56Speaker 4: that the President asked for in this supplemental was additional
- 5:59Speaker 4: fund for border security for like fifteen hundred more border
- 6:03Speaker 4: patrol agents and better technology at the border. I mean,
- 6:07Speaker 4: so again, we would urge Congress to take a look
- 6:09Speaker 4: at that selflemental request and pass it. But if the
- 6:11Speaker 4: general gist of your question is are we taking the
- 6:14Speaker 4: potential threat seriously, of course we will.
- 6:16Speaker 2: The general just was is it possible that somebody who
- 6:18Speaker 2: wants to commit a terrorist attack during a time of
- 6:21Speaker 2: elevated threat across the southern border into the United States already?
- 6:26Speaker 4: I couldn't possibly answer that question, Peter. All I can
- 6:29Speaker 4: do is tell you that we have remained vigilant to
- 6:33Speaker 4: that potential threat.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Okay, John, we have. I disagree with that center. I
- 6:39Speaker 1: would love to get your take on that. I do
- 6:40Speaker 1: not believe they've stayed vigilant. I think, in fact, they've
- 6:43Speaker 1: turned their heads and run and said every illegal immigrant
- 6:46Speaker 1: or anyone that wants to come across the border, come on.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Over what utter and complete crap that entire answer Listen.
- 6:55Speaker 3: John Kirby is an admiral in the Navy. It makes
- 6:59Speaker 3: me sad watch an admiral just lie to the American people.
- 7:03Speaker 3: You know, one of the things he says, we're vigilant
- 7:06Speaker 3: at the ports of entry, Well, no kidding, you, moron.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Terrorists don't enter at the ports of entry, and they
- 7:12Speaker 3: don't come up and say, hey, I'm an a mos terrorists.
- 7:14Speaker 3: I want to kill people like they're stupid, but they're
- 7:17Speaker 3: not said that stupid. You want to know the stat
- 7:20Speaker 3: that is horrifying. Two million got aways. So we're now
- 7:27Speaker 3: north of eight million people who crossed illegally in this country.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Roughly six million have come in and turned themselves in.
- 7:33Speaker 3: They've said okay, I'm here, they look for border patrol,
- 7:35Speaker 3: they turned themselves in. Most of them they're fleeing poverty,
- 7:40Speaker 3: they're fleeing economic misery. They're coming to America because Joe
- 7:44Speaker 3: Biden has said, if you come to America, you get
- 7:46Speaker 3: to stay. It's a disaster. And many of them are
- 7:48Speaker 3: being abused. They're being brutalized by traffickers, they're being sexually assaulted,
- 7:53Speaker 3: they're being left for dead. But those six million actually
- 7:57Speaker 3: worried me much much less than the two million who
- 8:01Speaker 3: are the two million. The two million are the god aways. Now,
- 8:04Speaker 3: what's a god away? A god away is someone that
- 8:07Speaker 3: border patrol observes, They observe through a censor, they observe
- 8:10Speaker 3: through visual observation, but they don't catch them. They're the
- 8:14Speaker 3: people that run. Now, why do the god Aways concern
- 8:18Speaker 3: me because, look, the people who are turning themselves in.
- 8:20Speaker 3: When I was down at the southern border Thursday night
- 8:24Speaker 3: at midnight patrol, the group that turned themselves in, they
- 8:27Speaker 3: looked for border patrol, they turned themselves in. We spent
- 8:31Speaker 3: thirty to forty five minutes visiting with them. They were
- 8:34Speaker 3: mostly women and children. Look, I don't think the five
- 8:36Speaker 3: year olds are going to commit acts of terror. They've
- 8:40Speaker 3: been brutalized, they've been assaulted, they like. What they've gone
- 8:44Speaker 3: through is horrific and inhumane. But the five year olds
- 8:47Speaker 3: are not a national security threat to the United States.
- 8:50Speaker 3: The god Aways are the people that are actively avoiding
- 8:54Speaker 3: and evading border patrol apprehension, and they are Many of
- 8:59Speaker 3: them are criminals. They have criminal histories. They're murderers, their rapists,
- 9:03Speaker 3: their child molesters, they have DUIs that they have. Many
- 9:07Speaker 3: of them have horrible criminal histories. Others of them are
- 9:09Speaker 3: gang members, they're MS thirteen or otherwise, but others of
- 9:15Speaker 3: them are worse. It's the two million god Aways. If
- 9:21Speaker 3: you're a terrorist and you want to murder Americans, you're
- 9:24Speaker 3: not in the people that are turning yourself into the
- 9:26Speaker 3: border patrol. You're in the two million godaways and the
- 9:30Speaker 3: point that he's ignoring, well, we're vigilant at the points
- 9:33Speaker 3: of entry, ports of entry. Well great, that's not where
- 9:36Speaker 3: the terrorists are coming in. And it is so fundamentally
- 9:40Speaker 3: dishonest what this administration says about.
- 9:43Speaker 1: That final question on this I want to ask you about,
- 9:46Speaker 1: you know, the new accusation which is accurate, and that's
- 9:51Speaker 1: that Joe Biden has welcomed six million illegal aliens in
- 9:55Speaker 1: the US, succeeding the population now of thirty one states. Now, now,
- 10:00Speaker 1: let's just think about that six million legal aliens into
- 10:04Speaker 1: the United States of America, a foreign population that exceeds
- 10:07Speaker 1: the population center of thirty one different states. And the
- 10:12Speaker 1: White House was asked about this, Okay, they were asked like, hey,
- 10:16Speaker 1: are you guys gonna talk about how this number and
- 10:19Speaker 1: not only that, how many more illegal aliens are you
- 10:22Speaker 1: going to let in? Senator Johnson had this to say,
- 10:25Speaker 1: one of your colleagues sectamy ORCA.
- 10:27Speaker 5: So I've asked you this in the past. What numbers
- 10:30Speaker 5: are represented here? How many people has this administration let
- 10:34Speaker 5: in by encountering, processing, dispersing, or that have come in
- 10:40Speaker 5: as a known or unknown got away approximately. I don't
- 10:44Speaker 5: need an exact number. So what do we got center?
- 10:47Speaker 5: Let me let me see I need numbers again. Don't
- 10:49Speaker 5: feel abust for me. How many people has this administration
- 10:52Speaker 5: led into the country. Let me say at the outset
- 10:54Speaker 5: that our job would be a lot easier if the
- 10:57Speaker 5: broken immigration system was nosion in this sector. I want
- 11:00Speaker 5: a number. How many people have you led into this country?
- 11:03Speaker 5: I should also, Okay, I'll give you the number. It's
- 11:06Speaker 5: about six million.
- 11:09Speaker 1: He won't to answer the damn question because he doesn't
- 11:11Speaker 1: want to be on record. It's saying, yes, we've let
- 11:15Speaker 1: in the population that is more than thirty one different
- 11:17Speaker 1: states in America.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Well, and it's worse than that because the six million
- 11:23Speaker 3: is just the people who've been apprehended. They're an additional
- 11:27Speaker 3: two million got away. So the actual number is eight
- 11:30Speaker 3: million illegal immigrants who crossed under Joe Biden. And that
- 11:34Speaker 3: is larger than all but twelve states in America. And
- 11:39Speaker 3: I want to do something. I want to read to
- 11:40Speaker 3: you the states that are smaller than the number of
- 11:45Speaker 3: illegal immigrants who come in under Joe Biden. Wyoming has
- 11:48Speaker 3: five hundred and eighty one thousand population, Vermont, DC, Alaska,
- 11:54Speaker 3: North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, Rhode Island, Montana, Maine, New Hampshire, Hawaii, Westernvirginia, Idaho, Nebraska,
- 12:01Speaker 3: New Mexico, Kansas, Mississippi, Arkansas, Nevada, Iowa, Puerto Rico, Utah, Connecticut, Oklahoma, Oregon, Kentucky, Louisiana, Alabama,
- 12:12Speaker 3: South Carolina, Minnesota, Colorado, Wisconsin, Maryland, Missouri, Indiana, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Arizona,
- 12:22Speaker 3: and Washington State. Washington State has seven million, seven hundred
- 12:25Speaker 3: and eighty five thousand people in it. It is only
- 12:28Speaker 3: when you get to Virginia. Virginia has eight million, six
- 12:31Speaker 3: hundred and eighty three thousand people in it, so we
- 12:33Speaker 3: haven't yet crossed the population of Virginia. Virginia is the
- 12:37Speaker 3: twelfth largest state in America. We are between thirteen and twelve,
- 12:42Speaker 3: and by the end of the Biden administration will pass Virginia,
- 12:45Speaker 3: will pass New Jersey at nine million, two hundred sixty
- 12:48Speaker 3: one thousand, will probably pass Michigan at ten million, thirty
- 12:51Speaker 3: four thousand, We may pass North Carolina at ten million,
- 12:56Speaker 3: six hundred ninety eight thousand, and you get into the
- 12:59Speaker 3: territory of number eight Georgia ten million, nine hundred and
- 13:03Speaker 3: twelve thousand, or Ohio number seven at eleven million, seven
- 13:07Speaker 3: hundred and fifty six thousand. That's how many illegal immigrants
- 13:11Speaker 3: have crossed under Joe Biden in less than three years,
- 13:16Speaker 3: eight million, larger than the population of all but a
- 13:21Speaker 3: dozen US states.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 13:25Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 13:28Speaker 1: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two. I
- 13:32Speaker 1: want to move to another issue center and it's one
- 13:35Speaker 1: that deals with energy independence. It also deals with what
- 13:38Speaker 1: we're witnessing now in Iran. The amount of money that
- 13:41Speaker 1: Iran is making right now from oil is upwards that
- 13:47Speaker 1: I've been seeing some numbers that are billion dollars a
- 13:50Speaker 1: day is what they're selling. These numbers are staggering. There
- 13:56Speaker 1: are many that are screaming right now and they're saying, hey,
- 14:00Speaker 1: this shouldn't be happening. There are sanctions that should just
- 14:03Speaker 1: be enforced, not needing to pass new sanctions to stop
- 14:07Speaker 1: this country this sponsoring terrorism, especially against Israel with Hamas Hezbla,
- 14:12Speaker 1: they've helped ISIS and al Qaida. They are openly saying
- 14:16Speaker 1: they want death to America and death to Israel and
- 14:19Speaker 1: to wipe us off the face of the earth. And
- 14:21Speaker 1: yet we're not enforcing these this all at the same
- 14:25Speaker 1: time while we are hurting this country from a lack
- 14:28Speaker 1: of energy independence, which makes them richer. When we stop
- 14:32Speaker 1: doing things here and we go into this green alternative energy,
- 14:36Speaker 1: it's just making them richer, which means they can sponsor
- 14:38Speaker 1: more terrorist activities around the world. And it's something that
- 14:43Speaker 1: you've really dived into in this book that comes out
- 14:46Speaker 1: on Tuesday, that people need to get their hands on.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Your new book, Unwoke is going to be out on
- 14:52Speaker 1: Tuesday next week. You can pre order it now. But
- 14:54Speaker 1: this is something you've been talking about, the democrats obsession
- 14:57Speaker 1: with green alternative energy and how it's actually helping the
- 15:01Speaker 1: most dangerous people in terrists in the world by having
- 15:05Speaker 1: this policy.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Well, so Iran right now is selling two million barrels
- 15:11Speaker 3: of oil a day, so they're not making billions per
- 15:14Speaker 3: day right now. Today, the price of a barrel of
- 15:17Speaker 3: oil is about eighty two dollars a barrel. That means
- 15:21Speaker 3: Iran is making about one hundred and sixty million dollars
- 15:24Speaker 3: a day from selling oil, and the bulk of that
- 15:26Speaker 3: they're selling to communist China. We assume China is actually
- 15:30Speaker 3: paying less than that. So let's say they're making one
- 15:33Speaker 3: hundred and forty to one hundred and fifty million dollars
- 15:35Speaker 3: a day, although we don't know what price China is
- 15:38Speaker 3: paying them two million barrels a day, what that is
- 15:43Speaker 3: produced for the Ayatola over the last three years is
- 15:47Speaker 3: about eighty billion dollars. That is funding Iran, which is
- 15:53Speaker 3: the world's late largest state sponsor of terrorism. It is
- 15:56Speaker 3: funding Hamas. It is funding the death squads that are
- 15:59Speaker 3: murdering as and murdering Americans. It is funding the rockets
- 16:03Speaker 3: that are raining down from the sky and murdering Israelis.
- 16:07Speaker 3: It is funding the drones that Iran is providing to
- 16:10Speaker 3: Russia that Russia is using to attack and kill Ukrainian soldiers.
- 16:14Speaker 3: So while Biden is giving billions to Ukraine, he's also
- 16:18Speaker 3: giving billions to Iran and funding both sides of the war.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Now that makes no sense at all, But the point
- 16:26Speaker 3: you made, and this is something that I emphasize in
- 16:32Speaker 3: this new book. The new book, as you said, is
- 16:34Speaker 3: called Unwoke, How to Defeat Cultural Marxism in America, and
- 16:40Speaker 3: the book walks through all of the institutions in our
- 16:43Speaker 3: nation that have been seized by the radical left, and
- 16:46Speaker 3: it lays out how they were seized, why it happens.
- 16:49Speaker 3: It tells stories, but it also lays out a strategy
- 16:52Speaker 3: to defeat them. And the final chapter is on China,
- 16:56Speaker 3: and it describes how China is a central nexus that
- 16:59Speaker 3: links them all. And one of the points that I
- 17:02Speaker 3: make in the book, and this is a point that
- 17:03Speaker 3: is rarely understood, and it has to do with science
- 17:06Speaker 3: and the Green New Deal, which is right now today.
- 17:10Speaker 3: The United States is the world's leader in oil production
- 17:13Speaker 3: and natural gas production. America produces roughly twenty percent of
- 17:17Speaker 3: all the oil and gas produced worldwide, and we are
- 17:21Speaker 3: a net energy exporter. We produce more than we consume,
- 17:24Speaker 3: so that is incredibly valuable to have energy independence. What
- 17:29Speaker 3: do the democrats want us to do? They want to
- 17:31Speaker 3: shift our energy usage entirely to energy produced by wind
- 17:36Speaker 3: and solar. And who controls wind and solar and the
- 17:40Speaker 3: answer to that is communist China. So here are some
- 17:43Speaker 3: of the stats. China controls refining capacity for seventy three
- 17:48Speaker 3: percent of the world's cobalt, for forty percent of the copper,
- 17:54Speaker 3: for fifty nine percent of the lithium, for sixty eight
- 17:58Speaker 3: percent of the nickel, and for eighty three percent of
- 18:02Speaker 3: rare earth minerals, and every one of those is necessary
- 18:07Speaker 3: for wind and solar power. And when it comes to
- 18:10Speaker 3: finished products that the Democrats want to produce all of
- 18:14Speaker 3: our domestic energy, China is responsible for eighty percent of
- 18:20Speaker 3: global solar panels manufacturing, for seventy percent of global wind
- 18:27Speaker 3: turbine manufacturing, and seventy seven percent of global lithium ion
- 18:33Speaker 3: battery manufacturing. So every time you hear a Democrat, every
- 18:37Speaker 3: time you hear the corporate media say we must move
- 18:41Speaker 3: from oil and gas to wind and solar, understand what
- 18:44Speaker 3: they're saying. We need to shift our entire economy from
- 18:48Speaker 3: an energy source that America controls and that we are
- 18:51Speaker 3: dominant globally in, to an energy source that China controls
- 18:56Speaker 3: and that they are dominant globally in. And we should
- 18:59Speaker 3: give communists China the power at any moment they want
- 19:03Speaker 3: to cripple our economy and shut down our ability to
- 19:07Speaker 3: access energy. That makes no sense. And I got to
- 19:10Speaker 3: say in the national energy debates, we have very very
- 19:15Speaker 3: few people are making what I think is this very
- 19:17Speaker 3: important point when you were.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Writing this book, and I encourage you to go ahead
- 19:22Speaker 1: and pre order it now it comes on Tuesday. You
- 19:25Speaker 1: wanted to look at these issues and bring them to light,
- 19:28Speaker 1: obviously as we're going into this very important election cycle
- 19:32Speaker 1: it's the presidential elections now, because this is really about
- 19:35Speaker 1: the future of this country.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Well it is. Look, our country is in crisis. I
- 19:40Speaker 3: wrote this book because lots of people are saying, what
- 19:43Speaker 3: the hell happened? How did we wake up and find
- 19:46Speaker 3: every major institution. Look, you look at our universities and
- 19:49Speaker 3: you see these rabid anti Semitic protests, anti Israel protests,
- 19:54Speaker 3: And what's happened is the viciously left wing Marxist f
- 20:00Speaker 3: courses have taken over many of our universities. You look
- 20:03Speaker 3: at K through twelve, education, at the garbage being taught
- 20:07Speaker 3: to our kids, critical race theory and radical transgender theory.
- 20:10Speaker 3: You look at how journalism has been broken. You look
- 20:14Speaker 3: at how government has been broken. You look at big tech,
- 20:16Speaker 3: you look at big business, you look at entertainment movies.
- 20:19Speaker 3: This book, every one of the chapters in this book
- 20:22Speaker 3: focuses on a different institution. The radical left is taken over,
- 20:27Speaker 3: and I explain how it happened. And look. One of
- 20:29Speaker 3: the things that I try to do in this book.
- 20:30Speaker 3: This is not an academic book. This is not an
- 20:33Speaker 3: abstract treatise. This book is designed to be fun, designed
- 20:37Speaker 3: to be readable, designed to tell stories and give you
- 20:41Speaker 3: information that you useful. Look the stats I just laid
- 20:45Speaker 3: out on the critical minerals and rare earth minerals that
- 20:49Speaker 3: are needed for wind and solar you haven't heard those
- 20:53Speaker 3: anywhere else. That's designed to give you the tools. The
- 20:58Speaker 3: book has the same purpose as the postodcast. The reason
- 21:01Speaker 3: you and I put so much time into this podcast
- 21:04Speaker 3: is I want to equip our listeners. I believe our
- 21:07Speaker 3: listeners are the patriots who are going to save America.
- 21:10Speaker 3: And I want to equip you with the news, with
- 21:12Speaker 3: the information, with the facts, with the data, with the evidence,
- 21:15Speaker 3: with the arguments to know what's going on to fight
- 21:20Speaker 3: to save the country. And so that's what this book
- 21:22Speaker 3: is all about. It is getting you prepared, but also,
- 21:27Speaker 3: you know, giving you something to read that's fun and interesting.
- 21:29Speaker 3: And by the way, the book I think makes you
- 21:32Speaker 3: know we're heading into Christmas. It makes a great Christmas gift,
- 21:35Speaker 3: which is you got to get one for yourself and
- 21:37Speaker 3: get one for your mom, get one for your son,
- 21:39Speaker 3: get one for your next door neighbor, because the entire
- 21:42Speaker 3: purpose of this book is to get as many people
- 21:45Speaker 3: as possible to read it and to hear and understand
- 21:48Speaker 3: what's happening in our country, because that's the only way
- 21:52Speaker 3: we're going to turn it around and bring our country back.
- 21:55Speaker 1: No doubt about it. And it's going to be just
- 21:57Speaker 1: one aspect of this book that we're going to start
- 22:00Speaker 1: highlighting so that you guys know what's in there, but
- 22:02Speaker 1: makes you grab a copy pre order it now wherever
- 22:04Speaker 1: you buy your books. Finally, Senator, I want to ask
- 22:07Speaker 1: you about the FBI Director Ray and his testimony that
- 22:11Speaker 1: he delivered. It is some shocking testimony. Here is part
- 22:15Speaker 1: of what he had to say before Congress.
- 22:18Speaker 6: But as I said a few moments ago, on top
- 22:21Speaker 6: of the homegrown violent extremists and domestic violent extremists threat,
- 22:25Speaker 6: we also cannot and do not discount the possibility that
- 22:29Speaker 6: HAMAS or another foreign terrorist organization may exploit the current
- 22:34Speaker 6: conflict to conduct at tax here on our own soil.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I mean, Senator, you hear Christopher Ray saying this. It's
- 22:43Speaker 1: something that unfortunately we've talked about so much. You've got
- 22:46Speaker 1: an open border, you've got these types of people that
- 22:49Speaker 1: get into this country, and the threats are real.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Look, the threats are incredibly real. I've said multiple times,
- 22:56Speaker 3: I think the risks, the likely of a major terrorist
- 23:01Speaker 3: attack on US soil is higher today than it has
- 23:06Speaker 3: been any point since September eleventh. And you know, as
- 23:10Speaker 3: I hear Chris Ray saying that, listen, As you know
- 23:13Speaker 3: I know Chris Ray quite well. For years, he has
- 23:16Speaker 3: been annoyingly and counterfactually and bizarrely saying the greatest threat
- 23:21Speaker 3: we have is from homegrown terrorists, and they're from white supremacists.
- 23:26Speaker 3: They're from Nazis and klansmen. And listen, Nazis and Klansmen
- 23:29Speaker 3: are idiots, they're bigoted morons, they're bad people. No dispute there.
- 23:35Speaker 3: But the last I check, we don't have this rising
- 23:38Speaker 3: wave of clansmen. But like, they're not Nazis that are
- 23:43Speaker 3: suddenly attacking America. And frankly, the FBI focusing on that
- 23:48Speaker 3: over and over again, it fit into the political narrative
- 23:51Speaker 3: that left wanted and it utterly discarded global jihadists who
- 23:55Speaker 3: have pledged to murder as many Americans as they have
- 23:59Speaker 3: they can, and who we're actively trying to do so.
- 24:02Speaker 3: And so my reaction the fact that Chris Ray said
- 24:06Speaker 3: there's a real risk right now that Hamas terrorists may
- 24:08Speaker 3: quote conduct attacks here on our own soil, my reaction is,
- 24:13Speaker 3: holy crap. What is he know now that has suddenly
- 24:17Speaker 3: forced him to say that publicly that he's like, oh, oh,
- 24:20Speaker 3: this might happen really soon. And I at least want
- 24:23Speaker 3: something on the record so that they can't claim I
- 24:25Speaker 3: was blindsided by it. It's obvious our southern border is
- 24:29Speaker 3: wide open, there's a major risk of terrorists coming across.
- 24:32Speaker 3: But the fact that Chris Ray said that right now
- 24:37Speaker 3: worries me enormously. I don't know any classified information that
- 24:41Speaker 3: he might have that says that they know of Hamas
- 24:44Speaker 3: terrorists in the United States, but the fact that he's
- 24:46Speaker 3: saying that, I think is very worrying.
- 24:50Speaker 1: As before, if you want to hear the rest of
- 24:52Speaker 1: this conversation on this topic, you can go back and
- 24:55Speaker 1: dow the podcast from earlier this week to hear the
- 24:57Speaker 1: entire thing. I want to get back to the big
- 25:01Speaker 1: story number three of the week you may have missed,
- 25:03Speaker 1: Senator I also want to bring in our guests. We've
- 25:05Speaker 1: talked a lot about kids, protecting kids. We also have
- 25:08Speaker 1: problems in this country where we have basically given our
- 25:11Speaker 1: kids over to the government and parents are trying to
- 25:13Speaker 1: get back in their kids' lives. Have been declared domestic
- 25:16Speaker 1: terrorists by our own government, which is shocking. A good
- 25:19Speaker 1: friend of the show, someone that you used to do
- 25:22Speaker 1: Verdict Plus with. People will know her from that. Liz
- 25:24Speaker 1: Wheeler has her own great show. She's got an incredible
- 25:27Speaker 1: new book out as well, and I know it was
- 25:29Speaker 1: important that we make sure we had her on Verdict.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Well, Liz, welcome back. Liz is my former co host
- 25:35Speaker 3: of Verdict. We did Verdict together. We traveled the country,
- 25:39Speaker 3: We went to college campuses together and dealt with young
- 25:43Speaker 3: leftists who had questions and wanted to be confronted with
- 25:46Speaker 3: the truth. And Liz does an amazing job on our
- 25:49Speaker 3: own show, on the Liz Wheeler Show, and she has
- 25:50Speaker 3: a brand new book, Hide Your Children, exposing the Marxists
- 25:56Speaker 3: behind the attack on American kids.
- 25:57Speaker 7: Liz, welcome back, Senator, Thanks so much for having me.
- 26:01Speaker 8: Thanks Ben, good to.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Have you here. Tell us a little bit about this book.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Why you wanted to write it and why it's so important,
- 26:08Speaker 1: especially right now.
- 26:09Speaker 7: Yeah, this book started as a question that I think
- 26:13Speaker 7: a lot of parents actually had the same question that
- 26:15Speaker 7: I had during COVID when we saw this increase in
- 26:18Speaker 7: attacks on our children. I mean, all parents had to
- 26:21Speaker 7: do is look over their kids shoulder on Zoom school
- 26:23Speaker 7: and they'd see critical race theory and trans ideology, the
- 26:27Speaker 7: sixteen nineteen project, plus good old fashioned moral relativism just
- 26:30Speaker 7: thrown at their kids. And I understand that this isn't
- 26:34Speaker 7: a new thing that our kids are the target of
- 26:37Speaker 7: the left, but it did seem to be escalating. So
- 26:39Speaker 7: I wondered, well, where is this coming from, Who's behind this,
- 26:42Speaker 7: what's behind this, what's their goal? So the purpose of
- 26:45Speaker 7: this book is I sought to find the answer to
- 26:47Speaker 7: that question, and what I found was both frightening and frustrating.
- 26:52Speaker 8: The frightening part.
- 26:53Speaker 7: Is that the left has spent decades trying to get
- 26:57Speaker 7: to our children, and to do so they have co
- 27:00Speaker 7: op did. They've captured what I call four of the
- 27:02Speaker 7: five major cultural institutions, So the media, that's an obvious one,
- 27:06Speaker 7: the education system sadly a lot of religious institutions, to
- 27:10Speaker 7: the law, which has become evident in the last couple
- 27:13Speaker 7: of years, and now they've set their sights on the
- 27:16Speaker 7: nuclear family, particularly on children. This is the frightening part.
- 27:20Speaker 7: The frustrating part is if this attack on our children
- 27:23Speaker 7: isn't new, if it's been decades in the making, why
- 27:26Speaker 7: haven't we been able to stop this?
- 27:27Speaker 8: What has the Republican Party been doing for all of
- 27:30Speaker 8: these decades to fight back? And So what I do
- 27:33Speaker 8: in the.
- 27:33Speaker 7: Book, the first half of the book is I name
- 27:35Speaker 7: the names of the people and the organizations that are
- 27:38Speaker 7: behind the capture of the institutions, behind the attack.
- 27:40Speaker 8: On our kids.
- 27:41Speaker 7: And the second half of the book is a critique
- 27:43Speaker 7: of the Republican Party. I offer a solution that I
- 27:47Speaker 7: will tell you is different than what the Republican Party
- 27:50Speaker 7: offers for how we can actually start winning, how we
- 27:52Speaker 7: can recapture our institutions, how we can protect our kids
- 27:56Speaker 7: and therefore our country.
- 27:57Speaker 3: All Right, so let's take those one at a time.
- 28:00Speaker 3: You said the first half of the book, you're naming names.
- 28:02Speaker 3: So who are the biggest names, Who are the individuals
- 28:05Speaker 3: most responsible for the relentless attack on our kids?
- 28:09Speaker 8: Yeah, that's a great question.
- 28:10Speaker 7: So what I do in the book is I make
- 28:11Speaker 7: sure to differentiate between the Marxists who conceived the ideas,
- 28:17Speaker 7: many of whom are lung dead, and the current Marxists,
- 28:20Speaker 7: the modern Marxists that are alive and well in our
- 28:22Speaker 7: country today, who are propagating these ideas on our children.
- 28:26Speaker 7: And I'll give you an example of one of each.
- 28:28Speaker 7: One of the modern Marxists who's propagating an entirely destructive
- 28:32Speaker 7: ideology in our children is a woman by the name
- 28:34Speaker 7: of Gail Rubin. Gail Ruben is known as the founder
- 28:39Speaker 7: or she wrote the founding document of queer theory. Queer
- 28:42Speaker 7: theory is a Neo Marxist theory that, unsurprising to most
- 28:46Speaker 7: of your viewers, is what underpins the transgender ideology. So
- 28:51Speaker 7: these poisonous ideas that are being taught to children in
- 28:53Speaker 7: school right now that boys can be girls, girls can
- 28:56Speaker 7: be boys. Gender is not connected to biological sex. Everything's fluid.
- 29:00Speaker 7: This is not just a random assortment of nonsense. This
- 29:02Speaker 7: is pulled directly from Neil Marxist queer theory, which was
- 29:07Speaker 7: penned by Gail Rubin, who is alive and well in
- 29:10Speaker 7: our country today, and yet most people, maybe in the
- 29:13Speaker 7: past couple months they've heard about her because I've been
- 29:15Speaker 7: talking so much about her. Most people have never heard
- 29:18Speaker 7: of this woman, even though she's having such a direct
- 29:20Speaker 7: and destructive impact on our children. That's the first example.
- 29:24Speaker 7: The second example I will give is a Marxist who
- 29:26Speaker 7: is long dead, and that's a Marxist, a Brazilian Marxist
- 29:29Speaker 7: actually by the name of Pallo Friari. He was the
- 29:32Speaker 7: one who contended that teachers in school shouldn't teach children
- 29:37Speaker 7: facts and knowledge, he should teach them a worldview, how
- 29:40Speaker 7: to view the world, and he called this worldview critical consciousness.
- 29:44Speaker 7: What critical consciousness is really is just teaching children to
- 29:47Speaker 7: look at everything through a Marxist lens. And this idea
- 29:51Speaker 7: of critical consciousness is what exists in our public school
- 29:54Speaker 7: system today under the all encompassing, vague umbrella term of wokeness.
- 29:59Speaker 7: So I trace everything back to its origins and show
- 30:02Speaker 7: the manifestations of how it's impacting our kids in our
- 30:05Speaker 7: society in America today.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Liz, I want to ask you about moms specifically. I've
- 30:10Speaker 1: actually been inspired and I think TC and I we've
- 30:12Speaker 1: been on the road, we've seen this. There are a
- 30:15Speaker 1: lot of moms have gotten off the bench and are
- 30:18Speaker 1: getting really involved with their kids and their kids curriculum
- 30:21Speaker 1: and what's having their schools and what they're being taught.
- 30:24Speaker 1: That's one of the biggest blessings I think of the
- 30:26Speaker 1: COVID lockdowns was moms got to see in the classroom
- 30:30Speaker 1: what was happening with their kids. I'm inspired by that,
- 30:33Speaker 1: and I think this is going to be something that
- 30:35Speaker 1: the liberals are going to have hell to pay now
- 30:37Speaker 1: with moms that are now involved. Is that part of
- 30:39Speaker 1: what you're seeing and inspiring you to write this book.
- 30:42Speaker 7: Yeah, it's incredible to see how many parents, moms and
- 30:45Speaker 7: dads who've had their eyes opened. I think as conservatives,
- 30:48Speaker 7: we're generally people of good faith. We generally like to
- 30:50Speaker 7: give other people the benefit of the doubt. We generally
- 30:53Speaker 7: see the good in humanity, and sometimes because of that,
- 30:56Speaker 7: it can be difficult to look at our political opposition
- 30:59Speaker 7: and label them for what they are. We'd rather say, oh,
- 31:02Speaker 7: you know what, this is a well intentioned, good faith
- 31:05Speaker 7: opposition who just has unwise practical solutions to problems that
- 31:10Speaker 7: we all admit our problems. That's how the Republican Party
- 31:12Speaker 7: actually has operated for the last fifty years. But I
- 31:15Speaker 7: think for the first time in many many parents' lives.
- 31:18Speaker 7: During COVID, they saw that, no, that's not true. Our
- 31:22Speaker 7: Democrat opposition are not well intentioned, well intentioned opposition who
- 31:26Speaker 7: want the best just but have bad ideas for how
- 31:28Speaker 7: to bring that about. They are in fact embracing Neo Marxist,
- 31:32Speaker 7: anti Christian, anti Americans, sometimes anti human ideology. And it's
- 31:37Speaker 7: a really important step in fighting back against this to
- 31:39Speaker 7: be able to define what the other side is. That's
- 31:42Speaker 7: why I spent so much time doing that in the
- 31:44Speaker 7: first half of my book, because if we don't understand
- 31:47Speaker 7: the reality of this political enemy we face, we won't
- 31:50Speaker 7: fight well against it. And if we don't fight well,
- 31:52Speaker 7: we won't win. And I'm tired of not winning. I'm
- 31:55Speaker 7: ready to win. As I know everyone watching the show
- 31:57Speaker 7: is to amen.
- 31:59Speaker 3: All right, question you said. The second half of the
- 32:02Speaker 3: book focuses on a critique of the Republican Party and
- 32:05Speaker 3: what we need to do better to fight back. What
- 32:08Speaker 3: does the Republican Party need to do to stop this madness.
- 32:12Speaker 7: Honestly, this is the part of the book that I'm
- 32:13Speaker 7: proudest of, and I know it's the part that's ruffled
- 32:15Speaker 7: some feathers.
- 32:15Speaker 8: A little bit, but I stand by this one hundred percent.
- 32:18Speaker 7: So I'll give you an example of one of the
- 32:19Speaker 7: most interesting pieces of information that I found in the
- 32:22Speaker 7: course of researching this book. Our public school system was
- 32:26Speaker 7: not mandatory. Children were not compelled to go to public
- 32:28Speaker 7: school until you're eighteen fifty two. In eighteen fifty two,
- 32:31Speaker 7: the state of Massachusetts became the first state to compel
- 32:34Speaker 7: public education. And the reason why was because there was
- 32:37Speaker 7: an influx of immigrants to our country at the time,
- 32:40Speaker 7: particularly Catholic immigrants, and the Protestant politicians in charge wanted
- 32:45Speaker 7: to indoctrinate these immigrant children in American values so that
- 32:48Speaker 7: they would be loyal to America first rather than the
- 32:51Speaker 7: country of their birth, and in Protestant doctrine because of
- 32:53Speaker 7: the centuries long battle between Protestants and Catholics, and I
- 32:57Speaker 7: realized that our institutions were never intended to neutral institutions.
- 33:01Speaker 7: Our school system was never intended to simply teach reading, writing,
- 33:04Speaker 7: and arithmetic and otherwise.
- 33:06Speaker 8: Be value neutral.
- 33:07Speaker 7: That if we, as Conservatives and the Republican Party, do
- 33:10Speaker 7: not harness these institutions to teach children our values, what's
- 33:16Speaker 7: going to happen is the Left is going to swoop in.
- 33:17Speaker 8: And teach their own.
- 33:18Speaker 7: The Republican Party has fallen for the false idea of
- 33:23Speaker 7: tolerance and neutrality, which doesn't exist, and perhaps the philosophical
- 33:28Speaker 7: reason for this is because they misdefine the word liberty.
- 33:31Speaker 7: They define liberty as simply the maximum amount of individual
- 33:34Speaker 7: freedom possible in a civil society, when really our government
- 33:38Speaker 7: was formed around the idea that liberty is the means
- 33:41Speaker 7: to something greater, that there's a moral the thing that
- 33:45Speaker 7: is greater is a moral thing, and that our society,
- 33:48Speaker 7: a flourishing society, is intended to try to attain that.
- 33:51Speaker 8: And Republicans have gotten.
- 33:52Speaker 7: Very shy of bringing religion or morals or anything of
- 33:56Speaker 7: that nature into our politics, and it's been to our detriment.
- 34:00Speaker 8: We wouldn't be in.
- 34:01Speaker 7: The chaos, the cultural chaos that we exist and now
- 34:04Speaker 7: if Republicans had not surrendered both institutions the name of
- 34:08Speaker 7: neutrality and morality and virtue in the name of libertarianism
- 34:13Speaker 7: to the left A long time ago.
- 34:15Speaker 1: List congratulations on the new book. Grab it for your kids,
- 34:18Speaker 1: your grandkids, Make sure you read this hide your children.
- 34:22Speaker 1: It is out now, exposing the Marxists behind the attack
- 34:25Speaker 1: on America's kids. Congratulations.
- 34:28Speaker 8: Thank you, gentlemen. I appreciate it.
