Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Indignant China Lashes out at U.S. for Shooting Down SPY Balloon!

- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, when you're as weak as the Biden administration, here's
- 0:03Speaker 1: what happens. You got to scramble to rewrite the China
- 0:07Speaker 1: portion of the State of the Union because of the
- 0:10Speaker 1: spy balloon that you allowed to fly over the entire
- 0:13Speaker 1: United States of America. And then, and then, and only then,
- 0:18Speaker 1: after the mission was successful, did you decide to shoot
- 0:22Speaker 1: it down over the Atlantic. That's the reality of the situation.
- 0:28Speaker 1: If this was a test run, it was a hall
- 0:31Speaker 1: of fame test run. If this mission was based on
- 0:37Speaker 1: just success and failure of getting Intel, it was a
- 0:42Speaker 1: hall of fame run at getting Intel, because you allowed
- 0:45Speaker 1: it to stay up the entire time. Now, the Democrats
- 0:49Speaker 1: right now are trying to push two different narratives. So
- 0:52Speaker 1: you understand these narratives and what they're trying to accomplish. First,
- 0:56Speaker 1: they're trying to say, well, China has satellites, so calm down,
- 1:02Speaker 1: implying that anything they wanted to get from this balloon
- 1:05Speaker 1: they could get from satellites anyway. That is a lie.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I'm going to explain that aspect of it in just
- 1:12Speaker 1: a little bit. The second lie is they want you
- 1:15Speaker 1: to believe that they knew where this balloon was the
- 1:19Speaker 1: entire time, and that they were taking countermeasures to basically
- 1:23Speaker 1: block it. That is also a lie, and I'll explain
- 1:26Speaker 1: why in a moment. But let's just talk about optics
- 1:30Speaker 1: from this. Let's talk about what weakness we just showed
- 1:36Speaker 1: shine us into a balloon and we find this thing
- 1:39Speaker 1: or hear about it not from our government but from
- 1:42Speaker 1: people outside of their homes. Let me say that again.
- 1:46Speaker 1: We learned about this balloon not from our government, not
- 1:50Speaker 1: from the DoD, not from the Pentagon, not from anyone
- 1:53Speaker 1: else where do we get this information from. We got
- 1:58Speaker 1: this information from people outside with cameras who spotted a
- 2:06Speaker 1: damn balloon. Should that concern all of us? The answer
- 2:10Speaker 1: is yes. The government didn't tell us the truth. We
- 2:15Speaker 1: had to bring it up to them, and then they
- 2:18Speaker 1: acted like it really wasn't that big of a deal.
- 2:22Speaker 1: They acted like this was everything was normal, It was okay,
- 2:27Speaker 1: it was something that was just totally not a big issue.
- 2:32Speaker 1: So let's fast forward to China get what they wanted.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Center Tom Cotton, a man that served his country. This
- 2:39Speaker 1: is what he had to say after the US fighter
- 2:41Speaker 1: jets shot down the suspect of Chinese spy balloon after
- 2:43Speaker 1: it already accomplished its mission. What began as a spy
- 2:47Speaker 1: balloon has become a trial balloon testing President Biden's strength
- 2:52Speaker 1: and resolve, and unfortunately, the President failed that test, and
- 2:56Speaker 1: that's dangerous for the American people. The President was paralyzed
- 3:00Speaker 1: for an entire week by a balloon. We should have
- 3:03Speaker 1: shot this balloon down over the Aleutian Islands. We should
- 3:07Speaker 1: never have allowed it to transit the entire continental United States.
- 3:11Speaker 1: And I think there's a lot of open questions that
- 3:13Speaker 1: the administration needs to answer to Congress on behalf of
- 3:17Speaker 1: the American people that why they didn't. I think part
- 3:20Speaker 1: of it is the President's reluctance to take any action
- 3:23Speaker 1: that would be viewed as provocative or confrontational towards the
- 3:26Speaker 1: Chinese communists. I would say, what's provocative and confrontational is
- 3:30Speaker 1: sending a spike balloon all across America. But second, I
- 3:33Speaker 1: do believe the administration wanted to salvage the Secretary of
- 3:36Speaker 1: States trip on Friday night, and they got through Thursday afternoon. Thankfully,
- 3:42Speaker 1: civilians in Montana and the Billings Gazette identify this balloon
- 3:45Speaker 1: and blew the whistle on it. And finally the administration
- 3:48Speaker 1: fest up to the American people. It took another twelve
- 3:50Speaker 1: hours for the Secretary of State canceled what was already
- 3:53Speaker 1: an ill advised trip. So I think there's a lot
- 3:55Speaker 1: of answers for the administration to provide the American people.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I love the response from Center Cotton here. It's very measured.
- 4:03Speaker 1: He's not trying to score political points. He's just telling
- 4:06Speaker 1: you the truth about this. Mike Pompeo, he is a
- 4:11Speaker 1: man that knows a lot about this. Right in his
- 4:13Speaker 1: former job, Mike Pompeo said, China, in his words, now
- 4:19Speaker 1: understands that they can penetrate American airspace, and this president
- 4:23Speaker 1: will do nothing. Look, no weather balloon, more properly likely
- 4:28Speaker 1: a spy balloon that was truly a trial balloon to
- 4:30Speaker 1: figure out how the United States would respond. I'm glad
- 4:34Speaker 1: that they shot it down. It was probably handful of
- 4:36Speaker 1: days too late. They've probably got all the collection they
- 4:39Speaker 1: needed for those first few days, and now they understand
- 4:42Speaker 1: that they can penetrate US airspace. Hang out with a
- 4:45Speaker 1: balloon the size of a couple of buses for a
- 4:47Speaker 1: few days, and the Biden administration won't do a darn
- 4:49Speaker 1: thing about it. It's part of a bigger challenge. You
- 4:52Speaker 1: describe part of it their trade with Taiwan. It's the
- 4:55Speaker 1: TikTok espionage conducted inside of our country every day. You'll remember,
- 5:00Speaker 1: during our administration, Trey I directed and the President ordered
- 5:05Speaker 1: the closure of the Chinese consulate in Houston, Texas, the
- 5:07Speaker 1: largest espionage operation ever inside the United States. So Chinese
- 5:12Speaker 1: spying on America, no surprise. Weakness of America just is
- 5:16Speaker 1: going to invite more aggression. Tray, all right. For those
- 5:20Speaker 1: of us who were never the director of the CIA,
- 5:23Speaker 1: I think these are our questions, all right. So when
- 5:25Speaker 1: would the US have noticed this spy balloon? How would
- 5:30Speaker 1: it have been detected? You know, given the fact that
- 5:33Speaker 1: your own television and what you can say about it?
- 5:35Speaker 1: And why wait to shoot it down? I mean you
- 5:38Speaker 1: said a few days too late? What's the explanation for
- 5:42Speaker 1: waiting to do it? Boy? They've offered this idea of safety,
- 5:48Speaker 1: they didn't want to breed to fall. But of course, Tray,
- 5:50Speaker 1: if I understand the trajectory correctly came in over Alaska
- 5:53Speaker 1: where there would have been almost no risk of debris falling.
- 5:57Speaker 1: So I can't figure out why they waited. So long.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Maybe it's the case they didn't notice it coming across,
- 6:02Speaker 1: but it seems to me that we almost certainly would
- 6:05Speaker 1: have identified this nearly immediately. The size of this balloon.
- 6:08Speaker 1: This isn't something small coming across. It's not even a
- 6:10Speaker 1: fast mover making its way across. This is going slow,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and it is big, and I would have guessed that
- 6:15Speaker 1: as soon as it penetrated what's called the air defense
- 6:18Speaker 1: identification zone. It was only at sixty thousand feet, so
- 6:21Speaker 1: not far above where commercial airlines travel, we would have
- 6:24Speaker 1: picked it up. And I can't articulate a reason. Maybe
- 6:27Speaker 1: the bidenministration will explain. I can't articulate why they would
- 6:30Speaker 1: not have immediately taken down this threat where the Chinese
- 6:33Speaker 1: were trying to gain information, likely about our important defense
- 6:37Speaker 1: assets here at home. Former CI director telling the American
- 6:43Speaker 1: people exactly what I said at the beginning. Don't be stupid,
- 6:46Speaker 1: don't believe these lines that it wasn't a threat. Don't
- 6:51Speaker 1: be stupid and think for a moment if this wasn't
- 6:55Speaker 1: a test balloon to see what America would do in response,
- 6:59Speaker 1: And what did America do? We said, do whatever the
- 7:01Speaker 1: hell you want, gather whatever intel you want whatever intel
- 7:09Speaker 1: you need. Why didn't they shoot it down when it
- 7:12Speaker 1: was actually collecting data, when it was doing the damage.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Because they didn't want to cancel their trip to go
- 7:17Speaker 1: meet with the Chinese Communist Party. They wanted Anthony Blincoln
- 7:21Speaker 1: to head on over there, and they wanted a Kumbaya
- 7:23Speaker 1: moment because remember this administration looking ahead to the presidential election.
- 7:28Speaker 1: They just want everything to seem like it's totally fine
- 7:30Speaker 1: and perfect. That's what they want. I wonder how much
- 7:35Speaker 1: the Chinese truly have compromised the Biden team. Let me
- 7:41Speaker 1: explain what I mean by that. How is it that
- 7:43Speaker 1: we'll go in and take on the Great Russia right
- 7:46Speaker 1: and send tanks and ammunition and everything that they asked for?
- 7:53Speaker 1: It was Zelinski, we'll literally help move us towards a
- 7:56Speaker 1: World War three, but we won't shoot down a Dan
- 7:59Speaker 1: balloon until it's already done its job in the United
- 8:02Speaker 1: States of America airspace from communist China. How is it
- 8:05Speaker 1: the China things they can get away with this. I
- 8:08Speaker 1: believe it's because they have dirt and they're compromised referring
- 8:11Speaker 1: to the president. Why do I believe this not because
- 8:14Speaker 1: I'm some paranoid individual. But because of what we know
- 8:17Speaker 1: about the laptop from Hell, and you can't say it's
- 8:21Speaker 1: not a real laptop because they admitted last week that
- 8:23Speaker 1: it is Hunter Biden's laptop. Hunter Biden admitted it. They
- 8:27Speaker 1: got billions of dollars in loans from China. That's a fact.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Hunter Biden made a million dollars just off of trying
- 8:34Speaker 1: to get one guy out of being charged and be
- 8:36Speaker 1: put in an American prison who was a top leveled
- 8:39Speaker 1: communist Chinese individual. That's a fact. We just sit oil
- 8:48Speaker 1: from our strategical reserves directly to CEFE Chinese communist company
- 8:55Speaker 1: Okay Sefe when we desperately that oil in America. Why
- 9:01Speaker 1: would you do that? Why would you send it directly
- 9:03Speaker 1: to a company that owns you Because your son is
- 9:06Speaker 1: a shady, corrupt businessman and you guys have been getting
- 9:10Speaker 1: paid Number four China, this administration. Try to give them
- 9:20Speaker 1: our resources in our country with a liquid natural gas
- 9:24Speaker 1: coming out of a port in Louisiana, try to put
- 9:26Speaker 1: together a multi million, if not billion dollar deal. We
- 9:31Speaker 1: know all this from the emails. We know that the
- 9:34Speaker 1: top level of the Chinese government had infiltrated Hunter Biden.
- 9:42Speaker 1: They owned him. So what do they have on this
- 9:46Speaker 1: Biden crime family? Where we're so strong with again Zolinski
- 9:51Speaker 1: against Russia. We're on the verge of a war war
- 9:54Speaker 1: three with them. They're talking about nuclear war in Russia,
- 9:58Speaker 1: and we're not flinching. Sending tanks, sending AMMO, sending intel,
- 10:03Speaker 1: sending drones, We're sending everything. Folks. How is it that
- 10:10Speaker 1: we're so strong in that scenario but we are so
- 10:14Speaker 1: weak when it comes to standing up to China. I
- 10:19Speaker 1: believe it's because they have us, They own us, they
- 10:23Speaker 1: have damning information on this Biden family. That's my opinion.
- 10:26Speaker 1: It doesn't make sense to me otherwise. In fact, that's
- 10:28Speaker 1: the only thing at this point that actually makes sense
- 10:31Speaker 1: to me. This administration clearly cannot stand up to China
- 10:38Speaker 1: in any capacity. Marco Rubio, talking about this yesterday, had
- 10:45Speaker 1: this to say, on the fact that we've got China
- 10:51Speaker 1: doing this to us and this administration will do nothing
- 10:54Speaker 1: to stop it. Well, we won't know about that we
- 10:57Speaker 1: get into a secure setting this week in Washington, and
- 11:00Speaker 1: probably most of that is something we won't be able
- 11:02Speaker 1: to disclose in any great detail other than to say this,
- 11:04Speaker 1: and that is that you know they're going to try
- 11:06Speaker 1: to recover this. Apparently it's in shallow waters. We'll see
- 11:08Speaker 1: what they recover from it. But I don't think the
- 11:10Speaker 1: technology or the existence of these things is a great mystery.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I think what's embedded here is a clear message. It's
- 11:16Speaker 1: not a coincidence that this happens leading up to the
- 11:19Speaker 1: State of the Union address, leading up to B. Lincoln's
- 11:21Speaker 1: visit to China. The Chinese knew that this was going
- 11:24Speaker 1: to be spotted. They knew that we were going to
- 11:25Speaker 1: have to react to it. They flew it over military
- 11:28Speaker 1: installations and sensitive sites as right across the middle. I mean,
- 11:31Speaker 1: look at the flight path of this thing. It's a
- 11:33Speaker 1: diagonal shot right through the middle of the continental United States.
- 11:36Speaker 1: And the message embedded in this to the world is
- 11:39Speaker 1: we can fly a balloon over airspace of the United
- 11:43Speaker 1: States of America and they won't be able to do
- 11:44Speaker 1: anything about it to stop us. They calculated this carefully
- 11:48Speaker 1: with a message embedded in it, and I think that's
- 11:50Speaker 1: the part where they can't forget here. It's not just
- 11:52Speaker 1: the balloon, it's the message they're trying to send the
- 11:54Speaker 1: world that we can do whatever we want in America.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Can't stop us. We can do whatever we want in America.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Can't stop us. Exactly what I was just saying to you,
- 12:03Speaker 1: and that's exactly what Marco Rubio's saying. And if you
- 12:05Speaker 1: think this satellite isn't important, then let's go to the
- 12:09Speaker 1: newest headline. This morning, Navy divers New York Times worked
- 12:13Speaker 1: to recover debris from the Chinese spy balloon. Navy divers
- 12:17Speaker 1: are working to locate portions of the debris from the
- 12:20Speaker 1: Chinese spy balloon that a US fighter shut down six
- 12:22Speaker 1: miles off the coast of South Carolina. Defense officials said Sunday.
- 12:26Speaker 1: The recovery effort, which is expected to take days, began
- 12:29Speaker 1: long after not long after, excuse me, debris from the
- 12:33Speaker 1: balloon hit the water. Defense official said he had that
- 12:35Speaker 1: a Navy ship arrived on the scene soon after the
- 12:37Speaker 1: balloon was shut down, and that other Navy and Coastguard
- 12:40Speaker 1: ships which have been put on alert, were also sent
- 12:43Speaker 1: to the scene. Shooting down the balloon cap a remarkable
- 12:46Speaker 1: week of high stakes international drama. I I love the
- 12:49Speaker 1: New York Times, right, is it really high stakes international drama?
- 12:52Speaker 1: The only thing that made it high stakes is the
- 12:54Speaker 1: fact that we let them have everything they wanted in
- 12:56Speaker 1: fly the a successful mission over the units. It's America
- 12:59Speaker 1: when they knew that they could take down and they
- 13:02Speaker 1: should have taken down this balloon at any moment, but
- 13:05Speaker 1: they didn't do it. Why did they not do it?
- 13:07Speaker 1: Because I ask crew it, who cares right? Let them
- 13:09Speaker 1: do what they want to do. We can't really stand
- 13:11Speaker 1: up to them. And if you want to know who's
- 13:13Speaker 1: the most angry, by the way, about this balloon being
- 13:15Speaker 1: shut down, it's not our administration, it's not Biden's team,
- 13:19Speaker 1: it's actually the Chinese who are now warning us of war.
- 13:24Speaker 1: How dare you? That's the response from China. An indignant
- 13:29Speaker 1: China lashing out, by the way, again at the US
- 13:32Speaker 1: for shooting down their balloon. China used diplomatic channels to
- 13:38Speaker 1: accuse the US of indiscriminate use of force when the
- 13:41Speaker 1: American military shot down the Chinese spine balloon balloon they
- 13:45Speaker 1: say ours a weather balloon, saying the act had seriously
- 13:48Speaker 1: quote impacted and damaged both sides efforts and progress and
- 13:51Speaker 1: stabilizing the Cino US relations. Was the second time in
- 13:57Speaker 1: just over forty eight hours that Beijing proclaimed it innocence
- 14:00Speaker 1: and denied any foul play was involved in the balloon
- 14:03Speaker 1: flying over the US entering US airspace before being shot down.
- 14:07Speaker 1: China repeated the assertion it was a harmless, non military
- 14:11Speaker 1: weather research airship. Vice Foreign Minister Feng said he lodged
- 14:17Speaker 1: a formal complaint with the US embassy hours earlier to
- 14:20Speaker 1: set out Beijing's distress over the US attack quote unquote
- 14:24Speaker 1: attack on a Chinese civilian unmanned airship by military force. However,
- 14:29Speaker 1: the United States turned to death Air and insisted on
- 14:32Speaker 1: the indiscriminate use of force against the civilian airship that
- 14:36Speaker 1: was about to leave the United States airspace, obviously overreacting
- 14:40Speaker 1: and seriously violating the spirit of international law and international practice.
- 14:45Speaker 1: The official statement from the Chinese set China would quote
- 14:50Speaker 1: safeguard and legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies. They
- 14:55Speaker 1: said they're resolute in that they are resolute in safeguard
- 15:00Speaker 1: it is at China's interests in dignity, and reserve the
- 15:02Speaker 1: right quote reserve the right to make further necessary response.
- 15:05Speaker 1: In other words, we might do this again, or we
- 15:07Speaker 1: might shoot at something of yours, or we might harm
- 15:09Speaker 1: American interest. China had already said by the way, earlier
- 15:13Speaker 1: in the same verbiage, we reserve the right to take
- 15:15Speaker 1: further actions. So you fly a spy balloon over America,
- 15:21Speaker 1: we don't shoot it down till after it's a successful mission.
- 15:24Speaker 1: And now China says we reserve the right to take
- 15:27Speaker 1: further actions and criticize the US for an obvious quote
- 15:30Speaker 1: overreaction and a serious violation of international practice. And they're
- 15:35Speaker 1: the ones they're spying on us. And this is the
- 15:37Speaker 1: gotta I gotta say. I'm a little jealous of a
- 15:41Speaker 1: government that at least defends themselves the way that the
- 15:44Speaker 1: China Chinese do. They're like all in here, folks. They're
- 15:48Speaker 1: not playing, they're all in and we're the one that's
- 15:53Speaker 1: been wrong and they're the ones attacking us. The other
- 15:58Speaker 1: thing that's shocking about the story is how the media
- 16:01Speaker 1: really reports on China. CNN of course, goes into big coverage,
- 16:06Speaker 1: right China reacts to the US shooting down spy balloon.
- 16:10Speaker 1: At least they called a spy balloy, and I'll give
- 16:11Speaker 1: him credit for that, But they're acting like China is
- 16:14Speaker 1: the good guy here and they're sitting there with Jim Acosta.
- 16:19Speaker 1: You may remember that guy from when he was like
- 16:21Speaker 1: obsessed with Donald Trump and putting out lies about Donald
- 16:23Speaker 1: Trump for you know, four years about Russia collusion. He's
- 16:26Speaker 1: the guy that pushed all that at CNN. He was
- 16:28Speaker 1: like the lead White House reporter that got it all wrong.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Never apologized the American people, never said he was, you know, bamboozled.
- 16:35Speaker 1: You never apologize to Trump for pushing Russian collusion. He's
- 16:39Speaker 1: now anchoring over at CNN. And this is what they
- 16:41Speaker 1: had to say about this. From Hong Kong. Jim. It
- 16:45Speaker 1: is just after eight o'clock here in Hong Kong, and
- 16:48Speaker 1: we are receiving a reaction from Beijing. In a very
- 16:51Speaker 1: strongly worded statement. Among some of the key lines, let
- 16:55Speaker 1: me just read them to you. First, China expresses its
- 16:58Speaker 1: strong dissatisfaction and protest against the US's use of force
- 17:03Speaker 1: to attack civilian unmanned aircraft. It goes on to say,
- 17:07Speaker 1: under such circumstances, the US insists on using force, obviously
- 17:12Speaker 1: overreacting and seriously violating international practice. It goes on to
- 17:17Speaker 1: say China will resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests
- 17:23Speaker 1: of relevant companies, while reserving the right to make further
- 17:27Speaker 1: necessary reaction, and the question you have to ask yourself
- 17:31Speaker 1: is why the hell are we even screwing around with
- 17:37Speaker 1: these people? Why are we acting like China has all
- 17:40Speaker 1: the leverage and acting like we have no leverage at all.
- 17:44Speaker 1: How I wish we would act as cavalier as we
- 17:46Speaker 1: have against Russia and Ukraine when we would with China.
- 17:49Speaker 1: But China seems to own us. And I'm not talking
- 17:52Speaker 1: about US as a country, I'm talking about US as
- 17:54Speaker 1: a the White House, right, I mean, that's what they
- 17:58Speaker 1: really seem to own here. China has already said it
- 18:02Speaker 1: quote it reserves the right to take further action and
- 18:04Speaker 1: criticize the US for an obvious overreaction, serious violation of
- 18:08Speaker 1: international international practice. In fact, a Foreign Ministry spokesman, Mal
- 18:14Speaker 1: Kneeing provided no fresh details, repeating China's insistency object towards
- 18:19Speaker 1: a civilian balloon intended for meteorological research had little ability
- 18:24Speaker 1: to steer and entered over the US by accidentally divulging
- 18:28Speaker 1: from its course and then just happen to stay on
- 18:30Speaker 1: course over the most important parts of America from an
- 18:33Speaker 1: intel perspective, like Montana, where our silos are for our
- 18:38Speaker 1: you know, missiles that can reach any part of the world. Yeah,
- 18:44Speaker 1: it just happened to fly the perfect course for nuclear intel.
- 18:51Speaker 1: I gotta give them credit. They're sticking to their story.
- 18:54Speaker 1: They are sticking to it. Senator Steve Dane's Republican Montana
- 18:59Speaker 1: criticized by handling of the Chinese spy balloon that recently
- 19:01Speaker 1: flew over the country, telling bright Bart News, a circus
- 19:05Speaker 1: clown knows how to better handle a balloon than the
- 19:08Speaker 1: White House. I can't disagree with that statement either. A
- 19:15Speaker 1: circus balloon knows how to A circus clown knows how
- 19:19Speaker 1: to handle a balloon better than this. President Danes consider
- 19:25Speaker 1: the Chinese spy balloon and Biden's response to it a
- 19:27Speaker 1: complete embarrassment quote to the United States of America, The
- 19:30Speaker 1: senator warned that if Biden continues to demonstrate weakness on
- 19:34Speaker 1: the world stage, he will only embolden our adversaries. And
- 19:37Speaker 1: you gotta understand, when all this happened, the world realized
- 19:42Speaker 1: they could do whatever the hell they wanted to do
- 19:45Speaker 1: as soon as they watched US pull out of Afghanistan.
- 19:48Speaker 1: The way that we pulled out of Afghanistan, leaving people behind,
- 19:51Speaker 1: leaving our assets behind, leaving our military vehicles behind. When
- 19:58Speaker 1: we started taking orders in the Taliban, that's when they
- 20:03Speaker 1: knew they had us. It's when China knew they had us.
- 20:06Speaker 1: When we started taking orders from the Taliban and we
- 20:09Speaker 1: started allowing for them to tell us when we have
- 20:11Speaker 1: to leave, when we were the ones in charge, and
- 20:13Speaker 1: when we didn't go get our men and women in uniform,
- 20:15Speaker 1: that our men and women that helped our men and
- 20:17Speaker 1: women in uniform are assets there the way, and we
- 20:23Speaker 1: ran away scared at the end, just so he could
- 20:27Speaker 1: get an Never forget it was so he could get
- 20:29Speaker 1: a headline. I'm the one that got us out of
- 20:31Speaker 1: the longest war in American history and Afghanistan. I'm the
- 20:33Speaker 1: one that pulled us out. That was all for a headline.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Turned out to be a disaster. But when they looked
- 20:40Speaker 1: at American soldiers who were not given the power or
- 20:43Speaker 1: the authority from the White House to go sixty feet
- 20:47Speaker 1: to get people that desperately need to get on those planes,
- 20:50Speaker 1: he got that country much less sixty yards. This is
- 20:53Speaker 1: what happens. And when they watched the Taliban order us
- 20:58Speaker 1: around in those final days and the and the Taliban
- 21:02Speaker 1: was dictating to us in those final days, they said,
- 21:05Speaker 1: holy crap, guys, it's time to do whatever we wanted
- 21:08Speaker 1: to do over the last X number of decades. That's
- 21:13Speaker 1: what they said. That was the moment for them. That
- 21:17Speaker 1: was the checkmate for them, right, I mean, that was
- 21:22Speaker 1: that was the ball game, folks. That was when they said, yep,
- 21:26Speaker 1: we got this. Back to New York Times quote, the
- 21:33Speaker 1: shooting down of the balloon caped remarkable week of high
- 21:36Speaker 1: stakes international drama played out over the skies the continental
- 21:39Speaker 1: United States of America. While China's instid of the balloon
- 21:42Speaker 1: was not for surveillance but rather for weather, and it
- 21:46Speaker 1: just happened to drift off course right right over the
- 21:48Speaker 1: targets they would need intel on the Biden administration quote,
- 21:51Speaker 1: this is the New York Times. Spending US had stood
- 21:53Speaker 1: firm that the balloon's purpose was a somewhat hapless effort
- 21:57Speaker 1: by China to spy on US military installations. You really
- 22:01Speaker 1: think that the Chinese halfway did it? Come on? President
- 22:04Speaker 1: Biden said that he had told Penagon officials to shoot
- 22:07Speaker 1: down the balloon. I'm not sure I believe that, and
- 22:09Speaker 1: that they said to me, let's wait until the safest
- 22:11Speaker 1: place to do it. I don't believe that either. The
- 22:15Speaker 1: Penninggon officials said they took steps without offering specifics, to
- 22:18Speaker 1: make sure the balloon did not yield much fruit much fruits,
- 22:21Speaker 1: So we're admitting it did damage as it hovered near
- 22:25Speaker 1: the Air Force based in Montana and other installations. They
- 22:28Speaker 1: also said China could glean the same amount of intelligence
- 22:31Speaker 1: from a spy satellite. All right, well, if that's true,
- 22:34Speaker 1: then why did they send the damn balloon? That's the
- 22:37Speaker 1: line they keep going back to. And I said, this
- 22:38Speaker 1: is the very beginning of the show. If this was
- 22:42Speaker 1: a repetitive gathering of intel that the same type of
- 22:46Speaker 1: intel they could get from satellites, why would they waste
- 22:49Speaker 1: their time doing this? I don't believe them. I don't
- 22:53Speaker 1: believe that China waste their time on a spy balloon
- 22:56Speaker 1: the way that they're describing it. I just don't. I
- 22:58Speaker 1: think you're full of crap. I don't believe anyone when
- 23:02Speaker 1: they say this. Now some of you may disagree, then
- 23:07Speaker 1: prove it to me. There was clearly a reason for this.
- 23:11Speaker 1: There was clearly an obvious reason for this was that
- 23:16Speaker 1: what was their reasoning it, obviously was they wanted something
- 23:19Speaker 1: different or more Now, there's also something else here that
- 23:21Speaker 1: I do think we need to bring up. They could
- 23:25Speaker 1: have just been testing to see how we would respond.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I don't know, Okay, I'm not sure. I really am
- 23:34Speaker 1: not sure which one it is there, but there was
- 23:37Speaker 1: something important that they wanted to gather. And to say,
- 23:41Speaker 1: it's the same, it's redundant information they're getting from spy satellites.
- 23:46Speaker 1: If you believe that you're an idiot, you can hear
- 23:50Speaker 1: how CNN played this. You can see from the writing
- 23:53Speaker 1: on the Washington New York Times how they're responding to this.
- 23:58Speaker 1: May Or Pete, by the way, and then one of
- 24:00Speaker 1: the most disgusting comments of the week. They started out
- 24:04Speaker 1: explaining where all this spy balloon was seen, the spot
- 24:08Speaker 1: where the balloon was seen, and what it went over.
- 24:11Speaker 1: It went over an important air base here, then another,
- 24:14Speaker 1: you know, Whiteman Air Force Base and Scott Air Force
- 24:16Speaker 1: Base and Fort Bragg and Campell June. I mean, this
- 24:18Speaker 1: thing made a perfect north to southeast to west movement
- 24:24Speaker 1: to just hit all of these airport bases and then
- 24:27Speaker 1: go out into the sea. Right, brilliant move And what
- 24:31Speaker 1: does Mayor Pete say? He says, quote, well, at least
- 24:33Speaker 1: no one got hurt, and that's the good news because
- 24:37Speaker 1: we dound it outside of America on the coast where
- 24:40Speaker 1: no one would get hurt from a balloon. United States infrastructure.
- 24:44Speaker 1: There's moms from Air Force Base and nuclear ballistic missile
- 24:47Speaker 1: fields in Montana. If you look at the map, there
- 24:49Speaker 1: Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, Scott Air Force Base
- 24:52Speaker 1: in Illinois, Fort Bragg, and Camp Lla June in North Carolina.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Is the assumption that the balloon was able to gather
- 24:59Speaker 1: sense of information and transmitted back to the Chinese government. Well,
- 25:03Speaker 1: the US has stated that steps were taken to prevent
- 25:07Speaker 1: any problems in terms of intelligence collection. Remember, we are
- 25:11Speaker 1: talking about a country that has a space program. So
- 25:14Speaker 1: I don't know all the ins and outs of what
- 25:16Speaker 1: this balloon was doing or what its capabilities were. I
- 25:19Speaker 1: do know that when the president did you notice that,
- 25:21Speaker 1: I don't know. This is a trans state secretary. This
- 25:23Speaker 1: guy is in charge of the Friendly Skies. I don't
- 25:26Speaker 1: know what its capabilities were. I don't know what it
- 25:28Speaker 1: was gathering. That's different than what the White House has
- 25:31Speaker 1: been saying. How that's different from what the media is saying.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I don't know what it was doing. I don't know
- 25:36Speaker 1: it's capabilities. I'm going to back that up. Okay, listen carefully.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I don't know how capable of this thing is, but
- 25:42Speaker 1: don't worry. It's fine about a country that has a
- 25:45Speaker 1: space program. So I don't know all the ins and
- 25:47Speaker 1: outs of what this balloon was doing or what its
- 25:49Speaker 1: capabilities were. I do know that when the President gave
- 25:52Speaker 1: the order to have this handled, the military gauge the
- 25:55Speaker 1: different risks and the different benefits of different approaches. May
- 26:00Speaker 1: the decisions that they did brought this thing down without incident, right,
- 26:03Speaker 1: But the presumption has got to be that the Chinese
- 26:05Speaker 1: were able to gather intelligence hovering over the United States
- 26:08Speaker 1: for day after day, especially over some of these sensitive sites.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I'm sure there's a similar presumption about what spy satellites do.
- 26:14Speaker 1: That is well outside of my lane. I'm just glad
- 26:16Speaker 1: that nobody was heard as this thing came down. When
- 26:18Speaker 1: did the Biden administration first learn about this balloon? This
- 26:22Speaker 1: spy balloon entering US airspace, so we're told it first
- 26:27Speaker 1: did so. It first entered to US airspace over Alaska
- 26:29Speaker 1: two saturdays ago. Is that when the Biden adminstration learned
- 26:33Speaker 1: about it? I really can't speak to that. What I
- 26:35Speaker 1: can speak to is the great cooperation we have between
- 26:38Speaker 1: the FAA and the Pentagon to make sure that when
- 26:40Speaker 1: you have a special military operation like what it took
- 26:43Speaker 1: to bring down this balloon, that it happens without any
- 26:46Speaker 1: threat to American lives or property. So everybody's safe. Who
- 26:50Speaker 1: cares what intel they got, because everybody's safe. That is
- 26:54Speaker 1: now the logic of this administration. I mean this when
- 26:57Speaker 1: I say this got to help us when you like
- 27:00Speaker 1: idiots to office with no qualifications, like Mayor Pete to
- 27:03Speaker 1: be the Transportation Secretary, with all the disasters that he's
- 27:06Speaker 1: had over the airlines, the disasters over shipping, the disasters
- 27:09Speaker 1: over reports right now, all of the backlog issues that
- 27:14Speaker 1: we've had, supply chain issues we've had. When a guy,
- 27:17Speaker 1: when you give guys jobs to fill quotas, just like
- 27:19Speaker 1: Mayor Pete was a quota that they were filling, right,
- 27:23Speaker 1: this is what you get. And it's very clear that
- 27:26Speaker 1: this present is either completely compromised by China or completely incompetent.
- 27:32Speaker 1: You pick.
