- 0:00Speaker 1: New Twitter files have been dropped. And what we're learning
- 0:05Speaker 1: is this, If you and the media report something that
- 0:10Speaker 1: the Washington Post likes, they call you a journalist. But
- 0:14Speaker 1: if you report something like the Twitter files that they
- 0:18Speaker 1: don't like, the Washington Post will then label you as
- 0:21Speaker 1: a conservative journalist. I'll give you an example. The same
- 0:26Speaker 1: journalists who are helping expose the Twitter files are now
- 0:29Speaker 1: being attacked by their own colleagues, claiming they're right wing extremists.
- 0:32Speaker 1: They're conservative journalists, which is just not true. There's a
- 0:36Speaker 1: headline Washington Post back in twenty seventeen, a article by
- 0:41Speaker 1: Paul Butler. Here's what it's said. The police department is
- 0:45Speaker 1: like a crew. It does whatever they want to do.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Those words from an old school hip hop song by
- 0:51Speaker 1: the group Boogie Down Productions, or the soundtrack in my
- 0:55Speaker 1: head as I read I can't breathe. Journalists at Tabe's
- 1:01Speaker 1: gut wrenching account of the death and life of Eric Garner,
- 1:06Speaker 1: that's how they described journalists. Matt Tabe. He was a
- 1:12Speaker 1: journalist who did an amazing job with a gut wrenching
- 1:16Speaker 1: account of the death and life of Eric Garner. So
- 1:19Speaker 1: then he was a hardcore journalist. He was a renowned journalist.
- 1:23Speaker 1: He was above above reproach journalists right. What happens when
- 1:28Speaker 1: my taby releases the Twitter files. Here's the headline from
- 1:33Speaker 1: the same Washington Post quote. As head of Trust and
- 1:37Speaker 1: Safety at Twitter, Roth was involved in many of the
- 1:40Speaker 1: platform's decisions about what posts to remove and what accounts
- 1:43Speaker 1: to suspend. His communications with other Twitter officials have been
- 1:48Speaker 1: posted in recent day days as part of what must
- 1:51Speaker 1: calls a Twitter files, a series of tweets you ready
- 1:55Speaker 1: by conservative journalists Matt Tabe and Barry Weiss. So, if
- 2:00Speaker 1: you report something the Washington Post likes, you're a journalist.
- 2:03Speaker 1: If you report something Washington Post doesn't like, you're a
- 2:05Speaker 1: conservative journalist. That's now what they're doing now. The reason
- 2:10Speaker 1: why I bring this up is because they're now getting
- 2:13Speaker 1: very scared over what's actually being exposed here. The newest
- 2:18Speaker 1: Twitter files that dropped are unbelievable. We now know that
- 2:24Speaker 1: the FBI just a month ago was actually asking Twitter
- 2:28Speaker 1: for the location information on a bunch of Twitter users.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Is the FBI asking for this, including the conservative news
- 2:36Speaker 1: site RSB network. The FBI asked Twitter to voluntarily provide
- 2:42Speaker 1: info and helpful suggests helpfully suggests these users violated terms
- 2:46Speaker 1: of service so you could get rid of them, a
- 2:48Speaker 1: big long list, right, this coming in from the FBI. Hey,
- 2:54Speaker 1: these are the guys. We need to know where they are.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Can you tell us their locations? Oh and also, by
- 3:02Speaker 1: the way, can you please shut them down? This was
- 3:04Speaker 1: just a month ago because of terms of service violations.
- 3:10Speaker 1: This internal email we now have access to from November fifth,
- 3:13Speaker 1: twenty two, the FBI's National Election Command Post, which compiles
- 3:18Speaker 1: and sends on complaints, sent the San Francisco Field office
- 3:23Speaker 1: a long list of accounts that quote may warrant additional action.
- 3:28Speaker 1: And then they wanted to know like, hey, who's doing this?
- 3:30Speaker 1: Like where are they? Can you just give us locations?
- 3:34Speaker 1: And they gave this to Twitter. This is just a
- 3:36Speaker 1: month ago. We also now know that from the newest
- 3:40Speaker 1: Twitter files that have been released. Something else, a very
- 3:45Speaker 1: shocking revelation that the United States government, Okay, the United
- 3:51Speaker 1: States government has now decided that they want to do
- 3:57Speaker 1: propaganda influencing on our government and regimes around the world.
- 4:04Speaker 1: There was an influence campaign, an influence campaign to get
- 4:08Speaker 1: you to like or dislike, or support or not support
- 4:13Speaker 1: certain conflicts around the world. I'll give you a real
- 4:17Speaker 1: day example. Apparently, the Pentagon has been working relentlessly to
- 4:23Speaker 1: put up propaganda accounts, propaganda accounts of deep fake individuals,
- 4:30Speaker 1: meaning not real people that they are running. This new
- 4:35Speaker 1: report identified accounts that Twitter knew were fake. Twitter knew
- 4:41Speaker 1: they were being run by Sentcom and the Pentagon, and
- 4:45Speaker 1: the Pentagon and Sentcom actually asked Twitter to quote white
- 4:49Speaker 1: List accounts in an email to Twitter in twenty seventeen.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Twitter then said, sure they knew. Twitter knew the accounts
- 4:59Speaker 1: were fake, they knew they were government propaganda accounts, and
- 5:03Speaker 1: they did it anyway. We also know that those accounts
- 5:09Speaker 1: were helping you get excited about certain things. Causes and
- 5:14Speaker 1: wars Zelenski getting all this money right now, there's a
- 5:20Speaker 1: very good chance, I'd say there's one hundred percent chance,
- 5:23Speaker 1: based on now what we know, that the government is
- 5:25Speaker 1: using deep fake accounts to support the government's propaganda to
- 5:31Speaker 1: get you to support us sending billions and billions and
- 5:34Speaker 1: billions of dollars to one of the most corrupt governments
- 5:38Speaker 1: in the world in Ukraine. In fact, Twitter's communication team
- 5:43Speaker 1: was closely in touch with reporters working to minimize Twitter's role.
- 5:49Speaker 1: When the Washington Post reported on the scandal, Twitter officials
- 5:54Speaker 1: actually congratulate each other's and in eternal emails and messages
- 5:57Speaker 1: because the story quote didn't mention any Twitter employees and
- 6:01Speaker 1: focus largely on the Pentagon running a deep state operation. Now,
- 6:09Speaker 1: before I get into more of that, I want to
- 6:10Speaker 1: tell you about our friends over at Patriot Mobile real quick.
- 6:13Speaker 1: You may see a lot of bait and switch offers
- 6:15Speaker 1: for free phones, free iPhones. Well, they're usually too good
- 6:19Speaker 1: to be true. Just like freedom itself, nothing is free.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Mobile phone companies not only lock you into long term contracts,
- 6:26Speaker 1: but they also build the price of the phone into
- 6:29Speaker 1: your bill with hidden fees. With Patriot Mobile, they can
- 6:32Speaker 1: show you how to get that same iPhone interest free
- 6:36Speaker 1: without the games and no contract. At Patriot Mobile. Patriot
- 6:42Speaker 1: Mobile is America's only Christian conservative wireless provider. They offer
- 6:47Speaker 1: nationwide coverage on the best four G and five G
- 6:50Speaker 1: networks because they use the same towers as the major
- 6:54Speaker 1: carrier that you're probably on right now. So, if you
- 6:57Speaker 1: want to get great service and you want to know
- 6:59Speaker 1: your working with a company that supports conservative causes, that
- 7:03Speaker 1: every month when you pay your bill, they actually take
- 7:05Speaker 1: a portion of your bill and they give it back
- 7:07Speaker 1: to causes like First and Second Amendment issues and the
- 7:11Speaker 1: right to life, as well as adoptions. Then you need
- 7:14Speaker 1: to check out Patriot Mobile. Go to Patriot Mobile dot

- 7:35Speaker 1: com slash ferguson or nine seven to Patriot. Now, after
- 7:40Speaker 1: all this information came out, Leefang, who is the one
- 7:44Speaker 1: that released these Twitter files, wrote an article for The Intercept,
- 7:47Speaker 1: and this is what the headline read. Twitter aided the
- 7:50Speaker 1: Pentagon in its covert online propaganda campaign that you were
- 7:54Speaker 1: paying for. Internal documents show Twitter whitelisted Pentagon account sent
- 8:00Speaker 1: accounts that were then used to run its online influence
- 8:04Speaker 1: pedaling campaign in the US and abroad. Twitter executives lied
- 8:09Speaker 1: to Congress, by the way. They claimed for years that
- 8:13Speaker 1: the company makes a concerted effort to detect and thwart
- 8:17Speaker 1: quote government back covert propaganda campaigns on its platform. That
- 8:23Speaker 1: was a lie. They lied to Congress Behind the scenes, however,
- 8:26Speaker 1: the social networking giant provided direct approval an internal protection
- 8:31Speaker 1: for the US military's network. I mean, this is like
- 8:35Speaker 1: a web of fake accounts all over the world being
- 8:38Speaker 1: run by the Pentagon. They had a network of social
- 8:42Speaker 1: media accounts and online deep fake individuals personas, and they
- 8:48Speaker 1: even the government. The Pentagon was directly asking Twitter to
- 8:53Speaker 1: whitelist a batch of account to the request of the government,
- 8:57Speaker 1: meaning we're telling you they're fake, but we need you
- 9:00Speaker 1: to let us have these propaganda accounts so that we
- 9:03Speaker 1: can push out propaganda that will influence the minds of
- 9:06Speaker 1: not just American citizens, but others around the world. Twitter,
- 9:11Speaker 1: by the way, wasn't the only one doing this. We
- 9:12Speaker 1: now know from the investigative report that has come out
- 9:15Speaker 1: on this that Facebook was also doing it. We would
- 9:18Speaker 1: assume Google was also doing it in YouTube. The Pentagon
- 9:23Speaker 1: has used this network for years, which includes US government
- 9:28Speaker 1: generated news portals and memes in an effort to shape
- 9:32Speaker 1: the opinion in Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, and beyond. The
- 9:37Speaker 1: accounts and question started out openly affiliated with US governments,
- 9:41Speaker 1: but then the Pentagon appeared to shift tactics that began
- 9:45Speaker 1: concealing its affiliation with some of these accounts, a move
- 9:48Speaker 1: towards a type of intentional platform manipulation. The Twitter had
- 9:54Speaker 1: publicly opposed and testified to Congress that they were shut
- 9:58Speaker 1: down all over the world. Though Twitter executives maintain awareness
- 10:02Speaker 1: of the accounts, they did not shut them down. In fact,
- 10:05Speaker 1: they let them remain active for years while they were
- 10:08Speaker 1: important to the quote cause. In fact, some of these accounts,
- 10:12Speaker 1: these fake accounts, remain active right now as we speak,
- 10:16Speaker 1: and the revelations are buried in the archives of Twitter
- 10:19Speaker 1: emails and internal tools, to which the Intercept was gret
- 10:23Speaker 1: An access for a brief period last week, alongside a
- 10:25Speaker 1: handful of other writers and reporters. Following Elon Must's purchase
- 10:30Speaker 1: of Twitter, the billionaire started giving access to company documents,
- 10:34Speaker 1: saying in a Twitter space that the general idea is
- 10:37Speaker 1: to surface anything bad Twitter had done in the past.
- 10:41Speaker 1: The files, which included records generated under must ownership, provided unprecedented,
- 10:46Speaker 1: if in complete, insight into decision making within a major
- 10:51Speaker 1: social media company. Twitter did not provide unfitter access to
- 10:55Speaker 1: company information. Rather, for three days last week, they allowed
- 11:00Speaker 1: the reporter to make requests without restrictions that were then
- 11:03Speaker 1: fulfilled on my behalf by an attorney, meaning that the
- 11:06Speaker 1: search results may not have been exhaustive. I did not
- 11:11Speaker 1: agree to any conditions governing the use of the documents,
- 11:14Speaker 1: and I made efforts to authenticate and contextualize the documents
- 11:18Speaker 1: through further reporting. The redactions and the embedded documents in
- 11:22Speaker 1: the story were done by the intercept to protect privacy,
- 11:25Speaker 1: not Twitter. And what we know is that Twitter the
- 11:29Speaker 1: direct assistants Twitter provided to the Pentagon goes back at
- 11:32Speaker 1: least five years. In July of twenty seventeen, there was
- 11:39Speaker 1: a guy by the name of Nathaniel Caller at the
- 11:43Speaker 1: time an official working with a US Central Command also
- 11:47Speaker 1: known as SITCOM, a division of the Defense Department, and
- 11:51Speaker 1: Nathaniel emailed a Twitter representative with the company's public policy
- 11:55Speaker 1: team with a request to approve the verification of one
- 11:59Speaker 1: account and white lists a list of AIRB language accounts
- 12:03Speaker 1: we used to amplify quote certain messages. So this is
- 12:07Speaker 1: propaganda and Twitter said yes. The worst part of all
- 12:14Speaker 1: this is not just the Pidagon was doing this, it's
- 12:16Speaker 1: the fact that you were paying for this to happen.
- 12:19Speaker 1: We now know that the FBI was actually paying Twitter
- 12:22Speaker 1: three point four million dollars to actually help sensor Americans
- 12:26Speaker 1: when they didn't like what you were saying. That was
- 12:29Speaker 1: happening as well. Miranda Divine went on Fox to talk
- 12:35Speaker 1: about this part seven of Twitter Files that reveals the
- 12:37Speaker 1: FBI's influence over what was happening and what you were saying.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Today's New York postcover calling the tech giant a quote
- 12:45Speaker 1: bird in the hand. Miranda Divine is a columnist for
- 12:49Speaker 1: the Postboxes contributed Miranda, good morning to you and thank
- 12:51Speaker 1: you for your time. I just wonder mind, folks, the
- 12:54Speaker 1: FBI have a laptop for about a year, they knew
- 12:57Speaker 1: that it was real. And you say the FBI was
- 13:00Speaker 1: grooming Twitter employees to recognize your laptop story. How so
- 13:06Speaker 1: that's right, Bill and Dana. It was pretty clear that
- 13:09Speaker 1: there was really a psychological operation being conducted against Twitter
- 13:15Speaker 1: executives by the FBI, so that when our story came
- 13:18Speaker 1: up in October of twenty twenty, that they would recognize
- 13:21Speaker 1: it immediately as a Russian hack and leak operation because
- 13:26Speaker 1: they'd been warned for weeks by FBI exactly what to
- 13:31Speaker 1: look for, in fact, to look for this operation in October,
- 13:34Speaker 1: and that it would involve Hunter Biden. And remember that
- 13:39Speaker 1: the FBI was paying Twitter three point four million dollars
- 13:43Speaker 1: they gave them to help censor Americans, and particularly our
- 13:47Speaker 1: story three weeks before the election currents and Tlou twittered this,
- 13:51Speaker 1: he said, I read this breathless Twitter file supplemental from
- 13:55Speaker 1: aut tub so you don't have to and here's the sum.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I mean usen to this. The FBI was paying Twitter
- 14:03Speaker 1: three point four million to help censor Americans. So they're
- 14:06Speaker 1: pushing out propaganda, they're censoring Americans, and they're doing all
- 14:13Speaker 1: of this with your tax dollars. Now you put that
- 14:16Speaker 1: in comparison to what we were being told in public.
- 14:19Speaker 1: And Twitter said to Congress under oath, oh, we would
- 14:22Speaker 1: never allow governments to have accounts that we knew about,
- 14:25Speaker 1: and we're going to police it. That was putting out propaganda.
- 14:29Speaker 1: So what do the emails say to Twitter asking to
- 14:32Speaker 1: whitelist some of these fake accounts from the Pentagon And
- 14:36Speaker 1: you're paying for people to run these fake accounts. Quote,
- 14:38Speaker 1: we've got some accounts that are not indexing on hashtags.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Perhaps they were flagged as bots, wrote sent com. A
- 14:45Speaker 1: few of these had built a real following, and we
- 14:48Speaker 1: hope to salvage. Clara added that he was happy to
- 14:52Speaker 1: provide more paperwork from his office or SOCOM, the acronym
- 14:56Speaker 1: for the US Special Operations Command. This is an email
- 15:00Speaker 1: going to Twitter top level Twitter. At the time, it
- 15:04Speaker 1: built an expanded abuse detection system aimed in part towards
- 15:08Speaker 1: flagging malicious activity related to the Islamic State and other
- 15:12Speaker 1: terrorist organizations operating in the Middle East. As an indirect
- 15:15Speaker 1: consequence of these efforts, one former Twitter employee explained to
- 15:19Speaker 1: the Intercept accounts controlled by the military that were frequently
- 15:23Speaker 1: engaged with extremist groups for being automatically flagged the spam.
- 15:27Speaker 1: The former employee, who was involved with a white listing
- 15:30Speaker 1: of SCOM accounts, spoke with the Intercept and said, yeah,
- 15:34Speaker 1: this was happening. In an email, cars sent a spreadsheet
- 15:37Speaker 1: in fact, with fifty two fake accounts US government was using.
- 15:41Speaker 1: He asked for a priority service for six of those accounts,
- 15:45Speaker 1: including an account used to broadcast announcements about US drone
- 15:48Speaker 1: strikes and Yemen around the same time. They said it
- 15:53Speaker 1: was important that these accounts stay up. Now guess what's happened.
- 15:57Speaker 1: They've been deleted. They emphasize that the US strung strike
- 16:01Speaker 1: one of these channels, for example, or one of these
- 16:02Speaker 1: accounts were accurate and killed terrorists, not civilians, and promoted
- 16:07Speaker 1: the US and Saudi backed assault on the rebels in
- 16:10Speaker 1: the country. Other accounts on the list were focused on
- 16:15Speaker 1: promoting US supported militias in Syria and anti Iran messages
- 16:20Speaker 1: in Iraq. One account discussed legal issues in Kuwait. The
- 16:24Speaker 1: many accountsmen focused on one topic area, others moved from
- 16:29Speaker 1: topic to topic of propaganda. For instance, another account, one
- 16:34Speaker 1: of the sitcom's top accounts, shifted from messaging around drone
- 16:37Speaker 1: strikes in Yemen in seventeen to the Syrian government's focused
- 16:41Speaker 1: communications this year. On the same day that sitcom sent
- 16:46Speaker 1: its requests, members of Twitter site Integrity team went into
- 16:49Speaker 1: an internal company system used for managing the reach of
- 16:54Speaker 1: various users and applied to special exemption tag to the accounts.
- 16:59Speaker 1: The internal logs now show. One engineer, who asked not
- 17:02Speaker 1: to be named because he was not authorized to speak
- 17:05Speaker 1: to the media, said that he had never seen this
- 17:08Speaker 1: type of tag before, but upon close inspection, said that
- 17:12Speaker 1: the effect of the whitelist tag essentially gave the accounts
- 17:15Speaker 1: the privileges of Twitter verification without a visible blue check mark,
- 17:21Speaker 1: a blue check mark excuse me. Twitter verification would have
- 17:25Speaker 1: bestowed a number of advantages such as involuntarily to excuse me,
- 17:32Speaker 1: an invulnerability to algorithm bots that flag accounts or spam
- 17:37Speaker 1: or abuse, as well as other strikes that lead to
- 17:39Speaker 1: decrease visibility, visibility or suspension. Now, these Twitter accounts, all
- 17:45Speaker 1: of them that were whitelisted by Twitter, were done so
- 17:49Speaker 1: at the behests of the US government for propaganda reasons.
- 17:53Speaker 1: There were also Arabic language accounts twitting on relevant security issues.
- 17:58Speaker 1: They said, yeah, well whitelist those as well, and they
- 18:02Speaker 1: wanted to know the where some accounts that they didn't
- 18:06Speaker 1: own were actually tweeting from the Internet archives. I've also
- 18:12Speaker 1: found that there was a lot of history on these accounts.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Several accounts initially listed themselves as US government accounts and
- 18:19Speaker 1: their bios, but after being whitelisted, shed any disclosure that
- 18:23Speaker 1: they were affiliated with the military, imposed as ordinary users.
- 18:28Speaker 1: This appears aligned with a major report published in August
- 18:31Speaker 1: by online security researchers affiliated with the Stanford Internet Observatory.
- 18:39Speaker 1: They reported on thousands of accounts that they suspected to
- 18:42Speaker 1: be part of a state backed information operation, many of
- 18:45Speaker 1: which used human faces deep fakes generated by artificial intelligence,
- 18:51Speaker 1: a practice also known as well again deep fakes. That's
- 18:56Speaker 1: what your tax dollars were going towards. The researchers connected
- 19:02Speaker 1: these accounts with a vast online ecosystem that included fake
- 19:05Speaker 1: news websites, meme accounts on Telegram and Facebook, and online
- 19:09Speaker 1: personalities that echoed at Pentagon messages, often without disclosure of
- 19:13Speaker 1: affiliation with the US military. Some of the accounts accused
- 19:17Speaker 1: i Ran of threatening Iraq's water security and flooding the
- 19:20Speaker 1: country with crystal math, while others promoted allegations that Iran
- 19:24Speaker 1: was harvesting the organs of Afghan refugees. Stanford report did
- 19:30Speaker 1: not definitively tie the sham accounts to Sentcome or provide
- 19:34Speaker 1: a complete list of Twitter accounts. The emails obtained by
- 19:39Speaker 1: the Intercept show that the creation of at least one
- 19:42Speaker 1: of these accounts was directly affiliated with the Pentagon quote.
- 19:47Speaker 1: It's deeply concerning if the Pentagon is working to shape
- 19:51Speaker 1: public opinion about our military's role abroad, even worse in
- 19:54Speaker 1: private companies, even worse if private companies are helping to
- 19:58Speaker 1: conceal it. That's exactly backly what Twitter was doing, and
- 20:02Speaker 1: this is where your tax dollars were going. How much
- 20:07Speaker 1: is the media talking about this? Zero minutes on ABC News,
- 20:12Speaker 1: zero minutes on CBS News, zero minutes on NBC, ABC
- 20:17Speaker 1: and CBS combined. They're not talking about any of this.
- 20:21Speaker 1: You would think that the White House Press Corps would
- 20:24Speaker 1: be going nuts wanting to ask questions. They're not why
- 20:28Speaker 1: because they just don't care. Now, before I get into
- 20:32Speaker 1: more of this story, I want to say thank you
- 20:34Speaker 1: and tell you about our good friends at Legacy Precious Medals.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Without them, the show wouldn't be possible. And if you
- 20:41Speaker 1: have not looked at gold and silver as a way
- 20:43Speaker 1: to protect your hard earned dollars against what they happening
- 20:45Speaker 1: on Wall Street with inflation, it's time for you to
- 20:49Speaker 1: call them and get the free Investor's Guide. Why, because
- 20:52Speaker 1: so many around the world are now using gold and silver,
- 20:54Speaker 1: and historically they have for decades as a protection a
- 20:58Speaker 1: hedge against inflation. Is exactly what we're dealing with right now.
- 21:02Speaker 1: If you're terrified to look at your retirement account, you're
- 21:04Speaker 1: four one case statement because of what's happening on Wall Street.
- 21:08Speaker 1: That's all the more reason why you should call and
- 21:10Speaker 1: get the investors got in gold and silver, protect your
- 21:13Speaker 1: hard earned money and diversify. Call them and get the
- 21:16Speaker 1: free investor's Guide from Legacy Precious Medals one eight six
- 21:20Speaker 1: six seven five one twenty two eighteen. One eight six
- 21:25Speaker 1: six seven five one twenty two eighteen or online at
- 21:29Speaker 1: Legacy PM investments dot com. Now, if the White House
- 21:35Speaker 1: Press Corps isn't going to do their job asking questions
- 21:38Speaker 1: about how corrupt our government is, and the other question
- 21:42Speaker 1: I have to ask is when a Republicans going to
- 21:45Speaker 1: stand up how Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy actually stated finally
- 21:52Speaker 1: on TV that the FBI should be shouldn't be blindly
- 21:55Speaker 1: funded given the behavior revealed in the Twitter files, and
- 21:58Speaker 1: the agency's budget shouldn't increase until after the agency is reformed.
- 22:04Speaker 1: McCarthy said, think about everything we're learning now that the
- 22:06Speaker 1: FBI spent at Twitter, at Facebook, at Google. Why would
- 22:12Speaker 1: we increase any funding there until we can have our
- 22:15Speaker 1: church style hearings to look at the FBI to reform
- 22:18Speaker 1: the FBI. We're getting more information every day. Why would
- 22:21Speaker 1: we blindly fund them when we're looking to when we're
- 22:25Speaker 1: looking overall through the year, why would we have Why
- 22:28Speaker 1: wouldn't we have a check and balance here? Why couldn't
- 22:30Speaker 1: we bring them in. Why couldn't we look at the
- 22:33Speaker 1: intel the committee that signed that letter and have some
- 22:37Speaker 1: subpoenas going forward where we have more information for the
- 22:41Speaker 1: American taxpayer to know that their money isn't being spent
- 22:45Speaker 1: on things like Twitter. Right, accountability is good, it should
- 22:49Speaker 1: be good. I think we can all agree it's important
- 22:51Speaker 1: that we have accountability. So let's go back to the
- 22:55Speaker 1: mainstream media. They're covering this, not ABCNBCCBS, none of them.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Is it big story that they were using deep fake
- 23:02Speaker 1: photos to obscure and to manipulate your mind on different things.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I got to go back to Ukraine on this one.
- 23:11Speaker 1: It is clear that the government is trying to influence
- 23:14Speaker 1: you on Ukraine, trying to tell you that we need
- 23:16Speaker 1: to be sending the money to Ukraine, not asking any
- 23:19Speaker 1: real questions about what's actually going on in Ukraine. GOP
- 23:24Speaker 1: Representative James Comer he says he wants to cut off
- 23:28Speaker 1: FBI funding over the Twitter files, knowing just how shady
- 23:31Speaker 1: our government is. The FBI was never granted the authority
- 23:36Speaker 1: to create any type of disinformation task force that police
- 23:41Speaker 1: the social media sites. Now, this we know with Twitter,
- 23:44Speaker 1: We've heard similar stories from Zuckerberg. Who knows what went
- 23:47Speaker 1: on at YouTube and Google. This isn't an agency that's
- 23:50Speaker 1: out of control. And the most frustrating thing for me
- 23:53Speaker 1: right now, Maria is the fact that in this Omnimus
- 23:56Speaker 1: bill there's increased funding for the FBI, plus a one
- 24:01Speaker 1: point seven five billion dollars headquarters facility for the FBI.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Why wouldn't we cut everything off? I agree with him.
- 24:11Speaker 1: If this is how you're spending the dollars, if this
- 24:13Speaker 1: is how the tax money is being spent, you should
- 24:16Speaker 1: halt everything. Kamala Harris did come out saying something that's
- 24:24Speaker 1: very weird. Vice President on elon Mosk and Twitter. This
- 24:28Speaker 1: is what she said yesterday. So what I would say
- 24:32Speaker 1: about any social media site is this would I fully
- 24:37Speaker 1: expect and would require that leaders in that sector cooperate
- 24:45Speaker 1: and work with us who are concerned about national security,
- 24:49Speaker 1: concerned about upholding and protecting our democracy, to do everything
- 24:54Speaker 1: in their power to ensure that there is not a
- 24:59Speaker 1: manipulation that is allowed or overlooked, that is done with
- 25:07Speaker 1: the intention of upending the security of our democracy and
- 25:13Speaker 1: our nation. Those are the things that concerned me most
- 25:16Speaker 1: of all. Those are the things that concerned me most
- 25:20Speaker 1: of all. That's your official response from Kamala Harris. Now right,
- 25:26Speaker 1: big tech leaders should help us secure democracy in our nation.
- 25:30Speaker 1: She's saying, I got your back. You guys keep censoring
- 25:33Speaker 1: and silencing conservatives, You keep shutting down conservatives, you keep
- 25:37Speaker 1: doing all of this. But these Twitter Files Part eight
- 25:42Speaker 1: shows that there was a psychological operation coordinated between Twitter
- 25:48Speaker 1: and the Pentagon and Sincom, and you paid for this
- 25:53Speaker 1: documents detailed military influence operations. Ret Baar on Fox set
- 26:01Speaker 1: it this way. We're getting a new batch of internal
- 26:03Speaker 1: documents from Twitter tonight. This is the eighth such release
- 26:07Speaker 1: of the so called Twitter Files, is the second in
- 26:10Speaker 1: as many days showing the inner workings of the social
- 26:12Speaker 1: media giant and the interactions with the US government. Of course,
- 26:17Speaker 1: Wanta Griff Jenkins tells us what is in today's edition,
- 26:20Speaker 1: Getting the Griff Good Evening. Brett Tonight's drop is an
- 26:23Speaker 1: inside look at the relationship between Twitter and the Pentagon.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Investigative journalist Lee Fang suggests the social media platform quote
- 26:31Speaker 1: quietly aided the Pentagon's covert online psyop campaign in a
- 26:36Speaker 1: series of twenty one posts, Fang details how deep the
- 26:40Speaker 1: coordination went between the two entities. Fang highlighting Twitter's pledge
- 26:44Speaker 1: and congressional testimony promising to shut down all state backed
- 26:48Speaker 1: covert operations, then reveals but behind the scenes, Twitter gave
- 26:52Speaker 1: approval and special protection to the US military's online psychological
- 26:57Speaker 1: influence opts. Despite knowledge that Pentagon propaganda accounts used to
- 27:01Speaker 1: covert identities, Twitter did not suspend any for around two
- 27:05Speaker 1: years or more, some remain active. The documentation dates back
- 27:09Speaker 1: to twenty seventeen bread when Scom sent Twitter list of
- 27:13Speaker 1: fifty two Arab language accounts used to amplify messages about
- 27:17Speaker 1: US military priorities in the Middle East. Noting the same
- 27:21Speaker 1: day Sycom sent the letter, Twitter officials used a tool
- 27:24Speaker 1: to grant a special white list tag that essentially provides
- 27:28Speaker 1: verification status to the accounts without the blue check, meaning
- 27:32Speaker 1: their exempt from spam abuse flags, more visible, likely to
- 27:36Speaker 1: trend on hashtags than also says some Twitter officials felt deceived,
- 27:41Speaker 1: but added this part, saying still many emails from throughout
- 27:45Speaker 1: twenty twenty show that high level Twitter executives were well
- 27:48Speaker 1: aware of DoD's vast network of fake accounts and covert
- 27:52Speaker 1: propaganda and did not suspend the accounts. It was a
- 27:56Speaker 1: network that pushed narratives against Iran, Russia, China, and other
- 28:00Speaker 1: foreign countries, ultimately tweeting as recently as May of this year.
- 28:05Speaker 1: According to Lee Fang and Tonight Brett, we reached out
- 28:08Speaker 1: to the Pentagon for comment they referred as strictly to Sitcom.
- 28:12Speaker 1: We have not yet heard back, Brett. So if you
- 28:15Speaker 1: just take a big step back and you look at this,
- 28:19Speaker 1: not only was our government working with all of these
- 28:22Speaker 1: social media companies to shut down in silence any account
- 28:25Speaker 1: they didn't like, big or small. They were shadow banning
- 28:29Speaker 1: people they didn't like, but they were also then using
- 28:31Speaker 1: your tax dollars to push out propaganda from deep fake
- 28:34Speaker 1: accounts of human beings that didn't exist under the disguise
- 28:38Speaker 1: other them being like authentic people. That's what they did
- 28:43Speaker 1: the entire time, and everybody knows it. It's out there now.
- 28:48Speaker 1: ABCNBC and CBS refusing to talk about any of this,
- 28:53Speaker 1: ABC NBC and CBS refusing to tell you what was
- 28:57Speaker 1: going on. ABC, NBC and CBS. No, we're not going
- 29:02Speaker 1: to mention it, because why would we do such a thing.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Be too damaging, and they are doing this on a
- 29:11Speaker 1: who knows what other issues. I'm sure that the Pentagon
- 29:15Speaker 1: is doing this right now in Ukraine. I have no
- 29:19Speaker 1: doubt they're doing this with Ukraine. They want you to
- 29:23Speaker 1: support the war in Ukraine against Russia. They want you
- 29:27Speaker 1: to hate Russia. They want you to believe that Russia
- 29:33Speaker 1: must be fought and all this money needs to go
- 29:36Speaker 1: to this war. And they're gonna spend this money, and
- 29:38Speaker 1: they're gonna buy Ammo, and they're gonna buy weapons, and
- 29:41Speaker 1: you're gonna pay for it, and a lot of it's
- 29:43Speaker 1: going to be embezzled in the corrupt country of Ukraine.
- 29:46Speaker 1: And Zelenski is one of those. And they're gonna bring
- 29:48Speaker 1: Zelenski into the White House and they're gonna push this
- 29:50Speaker 1: propaganda and they're gonna want to and they're gonna put
- 29:52Speaker 1: out the propaganda so that you will, you know, basically
- 29:56Speaker 1: feel sorry for them in Ukraine and say, yes, we
- 30:00Speaker 1: must send more money, that you'll support the war in Ukraine.
- 30:03Speaker 1: And how much of this information is actually propaganda from
- 30:07Speaker 1: our government? What I do know now about our deep state,
- 30:10Speaker 1: what I do know about SCOM, what I do know
- 30:12Speaker 1: about the CIA is that they are involved in corruption
- 30:16Speaker 1: at levels you couldn't even imagine to influence your opinion
- 30:20Speaker 1: on different things, That's what I know. Please share this
