Hyde-Smith lines up NIH support for UMMC Cancer Institute designation
UMMC is leading the effort to build the planned UMMC Cancer Center and Research Institute in Jackson, a state-of-the-art that unites care, research and clinical trials in one place. Thursday, Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith received commitments from officials with the National Institutes of Health to work with UMMC in its bid to be designated a National Cancer Institute (NCI).
