  Speaker 1: potentially adding COVID vaccine to the childhood immunization schedule. And

  Speaker 1: because if that's on the immunization schedule, the fear is

  Speaker 1: that schools could potentially mandate your child to get a

  Speaker 1: COVID shot, even if that's not something that you want

  Speaker 1: to do. So I just want to let everyone be clear,

  Speaker 1: as I'm kicking and screaming, there will be no COVID

  Speaker 1: shot mandates for your kids. That is your decision. That

  Speaker 1: is your decision to make as a parent. These are

  Speaker 1: are new shots. I get a kick out of when

  Speaker 1: people kind of compare it to MMR and stuff things

  Speaker 1: that have been around for decades and decades. So parents,

  Speaker 1: by and large, most parents in Florida have opted against

  Speaker 1: doing these booster shots for their particularly for the young kids.

  Speaker 1: The Surgeon General Florida does not recommend this for young kids,

  Speaker 1: for kids under eighteen, and basically his reason for that

  Speaker 1: there's not really been a proven benefit for that. I mean,

  Speaker 1: China with for an entire year. The Army Captain Grant Smith,

  Speaker 1: a physical therapist, that he hoped his speaking out would
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: not affect his pinning promotion a major but as concerns

  Speaker 1: he had raised have fallen on deaf ears, he said.

  Speaker 1: My belief my beliefs are informed by my scientific training

  Speaker 1: and my conscience. I can lie about what I believe,

  Speaker 1: is that the vaccine is unsafe and an effective for

  Speaker 1: activity service members generally, generally for our population that's young

  Speaker 1: and healthy. I believe that it's been a disaster for

  Speaker 1: readiness and I personally and I personally experience, you know,

  Speaker 1: just an untold difficulty trying to communicate this using scientific
• 7:46
  Speaker 1: or moral rationale. They also said that another woman said
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: she joined the military support and defend the constitution to
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: ensure the American people can remain safe, saying, quote, it's
• 7:56
  Speaker 1: my job as a naval officer to point out violations

  Speaker 1: of law to military leadership. That's what I've been doing.

  Speaker 1: That's what you know, nearly eighty thousand military members like

  Speaker 1: me have been doing. And we just truly hope that

  Speaker 1: this will be resolved sooner than later. She said, service

  Speaker 1: not doing this because we want to stick it to

  Speaker 1: the man, or because we're a fringe group of rebels,

  Speaker 1: or we're religious radicals or right wing radicals or anything

  Speaker 1: about supporting and defending the constitution, values about integrity and excellence,
