- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time? I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things and the to me good listening to
- 0:25Speaker 1: the other. I don't join jo. You gotta use that
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn you're going. You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn.
- 1:43Speaker 1: You haven't got to turn them out to turn water
- 1:47Speaker 1: to the water. Got me come come on your fad
- 2:01Speaker 1: Uh huh, I shore will come on it. Everybody you
- 2:05Speaker 1: are listening to the voice, come on now, dig me
- 2:09Speaker 1: one and only. Steve Harvey Man got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 1: What God doing y'all? Huh? What are he doing? What
- 2:17Speaker 1: are you doing in your life? He's doing something, He moving,
- 2:20Speaker 1: he working. Don't lose your patience though, so I did
- 2:23Speaker 1: that before. Don't lose your patience. Don't don't. Don't get
- 2:28Speaker 1: so sick of waiting that you take matters into your
- 2:31Speaker 1: own hands. Don't do that. Boy, you're blowing it. Listen
- 2:36Speaker 1: to me. You're listening to somebody who's done it that way.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I had a dream. I had a vision. I had
- 2:42Speaker 1: some hope, I had some faith, I had some aspirations.
- 2:47Speaker 1: But I got a little impatient waiting on it. So
- 2:49Speaker 1: I tried a couple other things move it along. But
- 2:52Speaker 1: I can't tell you how I messed it up. Then
- 2:54Speaker 1: I messed it up then, because God gave me the
- 2:57Speaker 1: power of decision. What I had to do was then
- 2:59Speaker 1: after I took matters into my own hand, messed it up. Now,
- 3:03Speaker 1: guess what, He still got something from me. But now
- 3:07Speaker 1: I gotta fix all the mistakes. Now I gotta straighten
- 3:09Speaker 1: them out. I gotta I gotta suffer some consequences. I
- 3:12Speaker 1: gotta pay for my transgressions. All of that, all of that,
- 3:16Speaker 1: it's gotta go down. You can't do something wrong and
- 3:20Speaker 1: not pay for it. It's you call it, calma, call
- 3:24Speaker 1: it whatever you wanna call it. Every action has an
- 3:28Speaker 1: equal and opposite reaction every action. If it just stays
- 3:33Speaker 1: sunny all the time, you might think it's cool, but
- 3:36Speaker 1: there's gonna be a reaction to it. Ain't no dark,
- 3:38Speaker 1: ain't no shade, ain't no break, ain't no rain. Gonna
- 3:42Speaker 1: be hard if it's just sunny all the time, vice versa.
- 3:46Speaker 1: So you need you need the opposite. You need the
- 3:49Speaker 1: darkness so you can get your break from that sun.
- 3:52Speaker 1: You need the rain so you can nourish the roots
- 3:55Speaker 1: so that sun it can soak up the sun and
- 3:58Speaker 1: get the benefit of the sun. If you don't get
- 4:01Speaker 1: the opposite, you got a problem, man. And it happens
- 4:04Speaker 1: throughout nature, it happens throughout your life. Don't think that
- 4:08Speaker 1: you can do wrong and not have to pay for that.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Do you think this is man? We we think man,
- 4:15Speaker 1: because we'd have made a decision that we think it
- 4:17Speaker 1: is best for us, and no matter how it to
- 4:19Speaker 1: affect nobody else, we got the right to make that call. No,
- 4:22Speaker 1: you don't. Whoever is telling you that, whoever's misguiding you
- 4:26Speaker 1: into the gang life, telling you, yeah, man, you need
- 4:29Speaker 1: to be this a way to be down with us.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I tell you what, Get yourself stuck on chuck with
- 4:33Speaker 1: that gang. See how many of them be there for you. Oh,
- 4:36Speaker 1: they'll go around the corner with you and starts shooting.
- 4:38Speaker 1: But okay, when it's time to do some time and
- 4:42Speaker 1: they can lessen their centers, you're gonna get that time.
- 4:44Speaker 1: They're gonna point their finger dead at you. I watched
- 4:47Speaker 1: for eight hours all the time, man, I watch Lock
- 4:49Speaker 1: Up Raw all the time, all the time, man, all
- 4:52Speaker 1: the time. Ain't no real cold dudes out there just
- 4:55Speaker 1: holding to the mantra and sticking to it. Even the
- 4:59Speaker 1: mob turns, stay side, evidence, go fed all that. Now
- 5:03Speaker 1: we are in the honor hood. We didn't created this
- 5:04Speaker 1: ignorant mess called no snitching. With that hignorant mess, you
- 5:07Speaker 1: don't even understand. No snitching was created by criminals as
- 5:11Speaker 1: a code of honor. If you do dirt and you
- 5:14Speaker 1: get busted doing the dirt, don't bring my name up
- 5:16Speaker 1: if I was with you. That's a code of honor
- 5:18Speaker 1: amongst the thieves. Now, so many code of honor thieves
- 5:22Speaker 1: that then came out of prison. They ain't got no honor.
- 5:24Speaker 1: They haven't bought that stuff back to the street. Now
- 5:25Speaker 1: that's all in the neighborhood. No snitching, No snitching, You
- 5:29Speaker 1: got to be crazy. That's for people who disobey the law.
- 5:33Speaker 1: That's who people have made a code of honor amongst
- 5:35Speaker 1: themselves as thieves. Hey, man, if you get busted, don't
- 5:38Speaker 1: drag me down. What you just do your time. Oh man,
- 5:41Speaker 1: you can't bring that stuff out here to me. I'm
- 5:43Speaker 1: a law biden citizen dog. I'm trying to live right
- 5:47Speaker 1: over here. Man. I don't want to crack house up
- 5:49Speaker 1: street from my mama's house. I'm trying to do right
- 5:51Speaker 1: out here. Man. You can't do wrong and expect wrong
- 5:54Speaker 1: not to come to you. You got to make a
- 5:56Speaker 1: decision every day to do right. God ain't got no protection.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You on dirt. You got what you got coming. You
- 6:02Speaker 1: made a decision. You go down there to get some
- 6:07Speaker 1: you might got get got See, we got to come on.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I'm talking to so many men out here right now.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I should have said that didn't mean getting, but a
- 6:16Speaker 1: conversation kind of got away from me. I was going
- 6:18Speaker 1: to talk to you about something else this morning, but
- 6:20Speaker 1: did just only man. Because our communities. Man, it's just
- 6:23Speaker 1: going to the pot man, because it ain't nobody can
- 6:26Speaker 1: about nobody else. Don't nobody care when they see that
- 6:30Speaker 1: young dude over that doing wrong. Look at them foods
- 6:32Speaker 1: over that man, Go over there and talk to one
- 6:34Speaker 1: of them. Pull them to the side. Man. You might
- 6:37Speaker 1: not be able to approach the group, but you can
- 6:38Speaker 1: approach an individual. Come in, young man, Let me talk
- 6:42Speaker 1: to you. I saw you the other day. Man. You
- 6:43Speaker 1: look like you got something going on in your life.
- 6:45Speaker 1: What's happening with you? Let me talk to you, man,
- 6:47Speaker 1: Let me share something I learned I was doing what
- 6:50Speaker 1: you was doing. You know, It's like Tommy did a
- 6:52Speaker 1: prank phone call one time as a limo driver, and
- 6:56Speaker 1: the dude the prank was he called this limo company
- 7:00Speaker 1: to ask this limo driver to take him to this
- 7:03Speaker 1: location late at night, and the limo driver got a
- 7:07Speaker 1: young business he going, yeah, okay, I got you. I
- 7:09Speaker 1: don't normally work like that. But how long you need it?
- 7:12Speaker 1: He's say, for just about an hour? He said, well,
- 7:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to charge you for the full three though,
- 7:16Speaker 1: because a three hour minimum. Tommy told him, now, I
- 7:18Speaker 1: just need it for one hours. He said, okay, I'll
- 7:21Speaker 1: give you a break, young man. You're trying to do something.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Where you want to go? He gave the address. The
- 7:25Speaker 1: man stopped writing. He said, that's a bank. He said yeah.
- 7:30Speaker 1: He said, you want to go to the bank at
- 7:31Speaker 1: twelve thirty at night. He say yeah, and I'm gonna
- 7:35Speaker 1: be in for a few minutes. And when I come
- 7:37Speaker 1: out that bank, I need for you to flow it
- 7:41Speaker 1: that to dude with the limo. He stopped writing. He said,
- 7:43Speaker 1: ho hold on, hold on, man, you want me to
- 7:47Speaker 1: take you to a bank twelve thirty at night. You're
- 7:50Speaker 1: gonna be in there for a few minutes and you're
- 7:52Speaker 1: gonna come out and you want me to float it.
- 7:55Speaker 1: He said, sir, I don't do stuff like that. He said,
- 7:58Speaker 1: you got the wrong company. He said, what made you
- 8:00Speaker 1: call here? He said, hey, man, don't worry about that.
- 8:02Speaker 1: You a limo come to you just dry. He stopped
- 8:05Speaker 1: and took the time out. He said, young man, let
- 8:07Speaker 1: me tell you something. He said. I've been down before,
- 8:11Speaker 1: I've been locked up before. It ain't pretty. He said,
- 8:14Speaker 1: that's what's wrong with you young people to day. Instead
- 8:16Speaker 1: of going to get a job, trying to work your way,
- 8:18Speaker 1: you're always looking for some fast money. Head. I'm gonna
- 8:20Speaker 1: tell you what I already know. Don't go down they're
- 8:22Speaker 1: messing with them people's money like that because they love
- 8:25Speaker 1: that money where more than they love you, and they're
- 8:27Speaker 1: gonna do something to you down now. Now, you stop
- 8:29Speaker 1: this foolishness. And I'm not caring you nowhere, but I'm
- 8:32Speaker 1: gonna take a little bit of time out to tell
- 8:35Speaker 1: you something. Don't go down here with messing with these
- 8:38Speaker 1: people's money because it ain't gonna go good. They're gonna
- 8:40Speaker 1: take care of their business where they come to that money.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Tommy kept insisting to this man to pick him up
- 8:45Speaker 1: in the limit. It was a playing phone call. But
- 8:47Speaker 1: the point I'm making is the man took out time.
- 8:50Speaker 1: He could just hung the phone up. But you know
- 8:52Speaker 1: what he's said, he's a hold up young man. Let
- 8:54Speaker 1: me hip you to something. Because the brother had been
- 8:56Speaker 1: locked up default. He said, no, no no, no, I say
- 8:58Speaker 1: I've done that when I was young. Now I'm gonna
- 9:00Speaker 1: stop and I'm gonna take some moment out to tell you.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna here, working man trying to earn an honest living.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I ain't going back down now because I don't. I don't.
- 9:07Speaker 1: They make you eat what they want you to eat.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You don't want the food. You gotta get up when
- 9:11Speaker 1: they say get up. You gotta stay where they say stay,
- 9:13Speaker 1: live with who they say live. He said, man, you
- 9:15Speaker 1: don't want that, and he just tried to talk the
- 9:17Speaker 1: young man out of it. You can change a young
- 9:20Speaker 1: man's mind with a conversation. A conversation can change a
- 9:24Speaker 1: young man's man. Most of these young men that are
- 9:26Speaker 1: misguided ain't having conversations with real men. They just not
- 9:31Speaker 1: having them. And it's up to us, who know what
- 9:33Speaker 1: manhood is is to start delivering the message the problem
- 9:37Speaker 1: that we have in our communities we could solve ourselves.
- 9:40Speaker 1: It didn't escalated to a point because we who are
- 9:42Speaker 1: men won't stop on our corporate climb and our day
- 9:46Speaker 1: to day making money and trying to ball out. We
- 9:49Speaker 1: won't stop and grab some of these young soldiers and
- 9:51Speaker 1: tell them the truth about manhood. That's the real deal. Okay,
- 9:54Speaker 1: So I went there. I don't know where they came from.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening show, ladies and gentlemen in this here another
- 10:04Speaker 1: great day God's given us, and you're glad about it.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I know I am. I don't care what's in front
- 10:09Speaker 1: of you. I don't care what situation you are facing.
- 10:12Speaker 1: You ain't got no problem bigger than that God we served.
- 10:16Speaker 1: That's a fact. Man. I got no problem bigger than
- 10:19Speaker 1: my God. And neither do you. Welcome to this thing
- 10:23Speaker 1: called life, to this thing called blessings and grace. We
- 10:26Speaker 1: are all privy to this. All you got to do
- 10:29Speaker 1: is believe. Let's get it on, Steve Harvey, Martin Show,
- 10:32Speaker 1: Charley Strawberry, callin for real. Mouth of the South, Junior,
- 10:38Speaker 1: The Legend of Nephew Tommy, and Yours truly, Julia what's
- 10:42Speaker 1: on your mind to day? I was going to ask
- 10:44Speaker 1: you this, man. You know five years you've you've been
- 10:48Speaker 1: through these things. Man, But when you're going through a storm, Man,
- 10:51Speaker 1: when you're in the middle of it, you can't see left, right, north, south,
- 10:56Speaker 1: You don't know which way to go. Where do you
- 10:57Speaker 1: find your encourage? God? Whole in it? Yeah, got holes
- 11:02Speaker 1: in it. You ain't got no buckets, you ain't even
- 11:05Speaker 1: bailed it. No, can't get none on him. For me,
- 11:10Speaker 1: it's a little bit different because I'm older. So having
- 11:14Speaker 1: been around the sun sixty five times already, I already
- 11:18Speaker 1: know that this too shall pass. I already know from
- 11:21Speaker 1: prior experience that everything I've ever gone through God involved
- 11:25Speaker 1: me through it. I already have learned through life's trials, tribulations,
- 11:31Speaker 1: setbacks and all of that, that I am a child
- 11:36Speaker 1: of the Most High and He got me covered and
- 11:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna survive it. So see. But now, until you
- 11:43Speaker 1: get a little bit of that experience under your belt,
- 11:47Speaker 1: my strong suggestion to you is to use the greatest
- 11:52Speaker 1: weapon available to us. That's oftentime, not used until you
- 11:57Speaker 1: get into moments of termol and errol, and that's prayer, prayer, works. Man,
- 12:03Speaker 1: prayer changes things. I was playing golf with a dude
- 12:06Speaker 1: one time, older guy, and I said, hey, man, prayer works.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Prayer changes thing, don't He was a pastor. He looked
- 12:14Speaker 1: at me and say, prayer change people too. And that
- 12:18Speaker 1: little one statement he said to me. It affected me,
- 12:22Speaker 1: man in a most profound way, because I was just
- 12:24Speaker 1: fooling with the past. We're out there playing golf and stuff.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I just met the guy. He was a capital, he
- 12:29Speaker 1: was a pastor. Cool dude. We was talking trash all
- 12:33Speaker 1: game long. He was on the group behind me. Before
- 12:35Speaker 1: I teed off. I turned around and said, hey, pastor,
- 12:38Speaker 1: I said, prayer change, Prayer changes things. He said, prayer
- 12:41Speaker 1: change people too. Very true. This is for me now.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I don't know where. I can't speak for other people.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Prayer for me gives me the sense of there's some
- 12:52Speaker 1: aid and assistance available to me. Prayer gives me the
- 12:56Speaker 1: feeling that I'm not alone, right, and press strengthens me
- 13:03Speaker 1: and encourages me that it's gonna be all right. Those
- 13:07Speaker 1: are the things that prayer to us for me. The
- 13:09Speaker 1: moment I started praying, yeah, I know it's gonna be
- 13:12Speaker 1: all right. I feel I don't feel alone anymore, and
- 13:15Speaker 1: I feel a strength and a comfort. Prayer works, man,
- 13:19Speaker 1: So when you're in the storm, get the prayer. It
- 13:21Speaker 1: would be really helpful if you would pray when you
- 13:24Speaker 1: weren't in the storm, so you wouldn't have to introduce
- 13:26Speaker 1: yourself to him when you got in trouble. I don't
- 13:29Speaker 1: like conducing myself to him. What I'm in trouble. Coming
- 13:35Speaker 1: up at thirty two minutes after the hour, Well, here
- 13:39Speaker 1: from the nephew. If he runs that prank back right
- 13:42Speaker 1: after this, you're listening show, it is time now for
- 13:47Speaker 1: the nephew to run that frank back. Nephew, what do
- 13:51Speaker 1: you have today? We gotta seal. We got a couple
- 13:55Speaker 1: of peacocks. We got a kangaroo to the drop up. No, no,
- 14:01Speaker 1: we're going to somebody in the house. We're dropping all this,
- 14:05Speaker 1: all of that, this this all all the animals headed

- 14:17Speaker 1: and we gotta kangoo. Root, we got a kangaroo. Don't
- 14:19Speaker 1: don't forget the kangaroo. Now all of that is jumping.
- 14:24Speaker 1: It's all jumping. Okay, this is Exotic Delivery cat Dog.

- 15:24Speaker 1: get quite a few signatures from you. I got about
- 15:26Speaker 1: five or six pieces of paper sheets that you need
- 15:29Speaker 1: to sign off on. Are you are you What time
- 15:32Speaker 1: did your wife get there? Sir? She'll be there. Lady,

- 15:55Speaker 1: an animal sanctuary here. I don't. I don't understand what

- 16:15Speaker 1: I'm not handling things. Okay, okay, sir, let me let
- 16:18Speaker 1: me if there is some confusion. Your name is here,
- 16:22Speaker 1: your address is here, So I don't see where I
- 16:25Speaker 1: have a problem. Everything I'm asking you, you're saying it's correct,
- 16:28Speaker 1: except now you're saying you don't want your delivery. It's
- 16:32Speaker 1: not my delivery, man. If that's what I'm trying to
- 16:34Speaker 1: tell you this is not I didn't order a kangaroo.

- 21:18Speaker 1: rapper Young Thugs lyrics are used against him in his

- 22:35Speaker 1: Don't call me. Yeah, you know, I might have my
- 22:42Speaker 1: Space account. I don't even know. Way before Faithbook, Jack
- 22:50Speaker 1: asked me one time, why you don't follow me. I'm
- 22:52Speaker 1: following you to the kitchen. That's what I'm doing looking
- 22:54Speaker 1: at you. I got to follow you. I'm sleeping the
- 22:57Speaker 1: same bed at night. Don't follow your fault from airwhere
- 23:02Speaker 1: what you want? Bardree told me one time you didn't
- 23:04Speaker 1: like my picture. I want to go. I ain't seen
- 23:10Speaker 1: That's what I wanted to say, but I was all
- 23:11Speaker 1: about bad. I don't know what I was thinking about.
- 23:18Speaker 1: But you don't like something, now, that's what That's what
- 23:19Speaker 1: I'm learning. Come, but oh man, she will see me
- 23:25Speaker 1: like something on the earth wind and five page and
- 23:27Speaker 1: I got to hear about that. You like them but
- 23:31Speaker 1: not me? Yeah, y'all, what y'all you got to do
- 23:38Speaker 1: all that? When you like the post as well? Let
- 23:40Speaker 1: me tell you something I would have been to so
- 23:42Speaker 1: many consoles. I know the announcement. Yes, all right. So
- 23:49Speaker 1: moving on to Nikki and Florence, Nicky says, my nine
- 23:52Speaker 1: year old daughter almost got suspended because she gossiped about
- 23:56Speaker 1: her teacher sleeping with another teacher at school. Now apparently
- 24:00Speaker 1: it's true. So what does my child get punished while
- 24:04Speaker 1: the trifling adults are not held accountable? No, hell no,
- 24:07Speaker 1: your daughter don't get uh sentious for that. You know,
- 24:11Speaker 1: you know you got too many you got too much
- 24:13Speaker 1: stuff you can point to. All you got to do
- 24:16Speaker 1: is take the good Morning Miracle, whoever they is, take
- 24:20Speaker 1: t J. Holds and his girl in there, and that's
- 24:23Speaker 1: your case. Yeah, at school, what is you talking to
- 24:27Speaker 1: me if you don't expose this to my nine year
- 24:30Speaker 1: old daughter? My nine year old daughter shouldn't even know
- 24:33Speaker 1: about no stuff like this. And as the superintendent, how
- 24:39Speaker 1: are you allowing this to go on and getting into
- 24:43Speaker 1: the student body affecting their learning capability? You better, you
- 24:47Speaker 1: better go in there and act like a white lady. Wow,
- 24:54Speaker 1: I'm appalled. That's the favorite of Paul. Yeah, everybody work
- 25:00Speaker 1: doing it though everybody we're doing it. Seemed like this everybody,
- 25:05Speaker 1: but she ain't valid point. Why don't you take them
- 25:08Speaker 1: damn glasses off the person so I can understand what
- 25:12Speaker 1: you're saying, because I are time. I look at you,
- 25:14Speaker 1: I go you know you because you already ignorant. Yeah,
- 25:18Speaker 1: it's a whole dude level though you don't look like
- 25:21Speaker 1: the WASP. I think, what that's one of the reasons
- 25:27Speaker 1: people love our show, because we're grown and act like children. Yeah,
- 25:34Speaker 1: you wouldn't ever feelter and found those though, you wouldn't
- 25:37Speaker 1: look for it. Yeah, all right. Moving on to Sheila
- 25:41Speaker 1: and Montclair. Sheila says, my husband and I have been
- 25:44Speaker 1: separated for five years and I just had his baby. Now,
- 25:49Speaker 1: he thought because of the child, he could come back home.
- 25:52Speaker 1: I let him sleep over the baby said, and now
- 25:55Speaker 1: he won't leave. How do I get him out of
- 25:57Speaker 1: my house and break this cycle? What what? You've been
- 26:03Speaker 1: separated for five years and you just had his baby. Yeah,
- 26:08Speaker 1: don't sound like a real strong, serious separation to me
- 26:12Speaker 1: at all. Now he using the baby to get back
- 26:16Speaker 1: in Uh yeah right, yeah, nothing you can do here?
- 26:24Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, Sheila women, Yeah, you want to be a
- 26:32Speaker 1: single mother, Go ahead. I don't know what to do.
- 26:35Speaker 1: He actually willing to keep the baby. That's what's crazy.
- 26:39Speaker 1: He's still doing it with him, They're still doing it. Yeah. Yeah,
- 26:43Speaker 1: the baby is proof of that for sure. Some of
- 26:46Speaker 1: these we don't have to have answers. Next question, this
- 26:49Speaker 1: is the last one. I just want to make sure
- 26:51Speaker 1: you get it all out, you're right. The last one
- 26:54Speaker 1: Steve Don Shay and Lexington says, I'm in a new
- 26:58Speaker 1: relationship and I offered to draw to the movie. We
- 27:01Speaker 1: stopped to get gas and my guy got out to
- 27:03Speaker 1: pump the gas, but he asked me for my debit card.
- 27:07Speaker 1: I feel like should have he should have paid for
- 27:09Speaker 1: my gas. I'm pumped it too. Am I wrong or right?
- 27:12Speaker 1: Am I right or wrong? This is what the dating
- 27:15Speaker 1: process is for. So you can expect all you want
- 27:20Speaker 1: from him. What you get can be something totally different.
- 27:25Speaker 1: And that's what the dating process is for. Now. You
- 27:28Speaker 1: found out that he will get out and pump your gas,
- 27:32Speaker 1: but he in paying for your gass. You found that out. Now,
- 27:36Speaker 1: were you wrong for expecting him to pay? Not? Really,
- 27:41Speaker 1: that's that's a mild obligation. You know I put gas
- 27:45Speaker 1: in the in a person's car, I would, Yeah, you
- 27:48Speaker 1: know it's her car. She drove to the movie. She
- 27:50Speaker 1: drove them to the movie. The first day, we're putting
- 27:56Speaker 1: gas in the first day, our junior see see that,
- 28:01Speaker 1: we go see we have a problem. We're putting gas
- 28:03Speaker 1: in the cars on first base. The junior forty years old.
- 28:05Speaker 1: That's how that generation feels. You know, if I get
- 28:08Speaker 1: out and pump the gas, I'm gonna go and pay
- 28:10Speaker 1: for it. All he wants to do is pumped for you.
- 28:13Speaker 1: You understand that he just wants Yeah, okay, he don't
- 28:18Speaker 1: want to have your car in your car, don't work
- 28:22Speaker 1: out gas bag now. Back in the day, and I
- 28:28Speaker 1: didn't have nothing, yeah, you know, I mean, we could
- 28:33Speaker 1: have went to the movie in my car, but my
- 28:35Speaker 1: car had a lot of stuff in it though your
- 28:38Speaker 1: clothing at of stuff in that hard to explain that
- 28:43Speaker 1: igloo cooler in the back seat, all them clothes round
- 28:47Speaker 1: it maps, all right, So maybe he doesn't have a car,
- 28:53Speaker 1: and but he did pay for the movies. Why is
- 28:56Speaker 1: it frying pan on your back seat? Because I live
- 28:58Speaker 1: in him cook in your car too, all right? Yeah,
- 29:04Speaker 1: when I get to the rest stop and they got
- 29:06Speaker 1: them all my past ironic, Yeah, a table thing and
- 29:15Speaker 1: be talking to people like I live about this? All right?
- 29:18Speaker 1: Thank you, Cielo. Coming up NeXT's entertainment news. Right after this,
- 29:22Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. President Joe
- 29:28Speaker 1: Biden will be in Atlanta this Sunday, January fifteenth to
- 29:32Speaker 1: deliver remarks at doctor Martin Luther King Junior's birthday celebration
- 29:36Speaker 1: at Ebenezer Baptist Church. That is the church, of course,
- 29:39Speaker 1: that doctor King served as pastor from nineteen sixty until
- 29:43Speaker 1: nineteen sixty eight. Biden will join the current Ebenezer pastor,
- 29:46Speaker 1: US Senator Raphael Warnock what would have been doctor King's
- 29:51Speaker 1: ninety fourth birthday. Also in entertainment news um, according to E. E. Knew,
- 30:00Speaker 1: Comedy Central has lined up a list comics to host
- 30:03Speaker 1: The Daily Show's new season, since, of course, Trevor Noah
- 30:07Speaker 1: left the show for good on December eighth. Leslie Jones
- 30:10Speaker 1: will kick off the first week. She'll be followed by
- 30:13Speaker 1: Wanda Pyke, Deal Hugely, Chelsea Handler, and Sarah Silverman. The
- 30:17Speaker 1: Daily Show returns Tuesday, January seventeenth. Now, Steve, here's a
- 30:21Speaker 1: question for you. Would you ever sit in as a
- 30:24Speaker 1: guest host for a show like this? I don't know
- 30:29Speaker 1: a week, I don't know where I have the job. See,
- 30:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna be noa. They ain't gonna they ain't gonna
- 30:42Speaker 1: have me. Bro, what do you mean why not not gonnaheam?
- 30:47Speaker 1: You know? Three? Yeah? I know why. It's about the money.
- 30:52Speaker 1: So it's about the money. Yeah, yeah, what what what? What? What?
- 30:56Speaker 1: What is it supposed to be about? Days? It's okay
- 31:04Speaker 1: if yeah, God willing on my next birthday, I'm a
- 31:12Speaker 1: turn sixty six, Yes, next, I ain't doing this, Carson.
- 31:18Speaker 1: I need to experience. You know, you got plenty of that.
- 31:24Speaker 1: I need to make a name for myself. You know
- 31:27Speaker 1: we passed that. Where's the check for this step? It
- 31:32Speaker 1: doesn't say that they're not paying to people. I'm pretty
- 31:36Speaker 1: sure they are. But which one of my jobs is
- 31:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna take off to go do this week down
- 31:42Speaker 1: here on that show? Okay, can leave family feud for this.
- 31:48Speaker 1: You better not leaving radio show? Uh right here? See,
- 31:53Speaker 1: this is the only show that I operate on under
- 31:55Speaker 1: a death threat. Yeah, leaving and see what happens. I
- 32:00Speaker 1: can't lead a judge show for that. So I don't
- 32:03Speaker 1: really my down thing. You know. I've had a talk show,
- 32:06Speaker 1: yeah for seven years. Man, I don't really wanderm be
- 32:11Speaker 1: under the restraints. Plus, I don't need to be on
- 32:14Speaker 1: nothing live where they can be at none. I don't
- 32:17Speaker 1: need to be on what. Ain't nobody around me protecting me?
- 32:20Speaker 1: You know, y'all y'all protect me? Yeah? I don't I
- 32:24Speaker 1: don't need to be nowhere. I went on nobody go whoa, whoa. Hey.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I know you don't think you fit to say that
- 32:31Speaker 1: on the radio, Steve. No, because that's why y'all asked
- 32:35Speaker 1: me on all the commercial breaks. Okay, this is what
- 32:37Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about next, Steve. Anything, you're gonna say
- 32:40Speaker 1: anything crazy? And then I tell them I might go here.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Now all of a sudden, we don't do the subject.
- 32:46Speaker 1: We come back that subject don't be on radio. That's
- 32:50Speaker 1: a little snick ass people on this show. Text and
- 32:54Speaker 1: shake that button just for you, yeah, with your name. Yeah,
- 33:03Speaker 1: all right. So the answer I think is no, yeah, yeah,
- 33:12Speaker 1: all right. Moving on to a rapper, Young Thug. His
- 33:16Speaker 1: twenty sixteen rap song Slime Sugar Honey Iced Tea has
- 33:20Speaker 1: been used as evidence in his rico case in Georgia.
- 33:24Speaker 1: In a video uploaded by the Law and Crime Network,
- 33:27Speaker 1: the judge in this case recited a portion of the
- 33:29Speaker 1: lyrics from Young Thugs song during the first day of
- 33:32Speaker 1: jury selection. The judge draws the parallel between thugs rico
- 33:36Speaker 1: case and the lifestyle and imagery presented in his music,
- 33:40Speaker 1: as the prosecutors alleged that his YSL group is a
- 33:43Speaker 1: criminal street gang. The determination to ban rap lyrics from
- 33:47Speaker 1: courtrooms has garnered a lot of support from Congress and
- 33:51Speaker 1: across the nation. However, Atlanta isn't budging on this issue.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Last August, Bolton County DA Fanny Wells explained why her
- 34:00Speaker 1: office will continue to use rap songs as evidence. She stated, quote,
- 34:05Speaker 1: I think if you decide to admit your crimes over
- 34:07Speaker 1: a beat, I'm gonna use it. Why don't he say
- 34:12Speaker 1: he ain't write it? No, it's hell, it's public. He
- 34:17Speaker 1: listen to me, No, listen to me. A lot of
- 34:21Speaker 1: these cats have writers. Mmmm, a lot of them have writers.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Why don't he just say he didn't write it? And
- 34:30Speaker 1: I don't know, See it ain't time to stay true
- 34:32Speaker 1: to the game and all that him. You ain't court now,
- 34:36Speaker 1: so I'm not a writer, go to jail. No, the
- 34:39Speaker 1: writer ain't got to go to jail. The writer. They
- 34:41Speaker 1: just wrote the lyrics. You just you, you know. I
- 34:44Speaker 1: don't think you should use these lyrics against these people
- 34:48Speaker 1: in court, A lot of peoples against them. Yeah, No,
- 34:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna say this though, as black me,
- 35:00Speaker 1: we've got the end of stupidity. Yeah, Yeah, of putting
- 35:05Speaker 1: your life to a beat, especially incriminating stuff. You know,
- 35:11Speaker 1: it would be simple if we would just stop the crimes.
- 35:13Speaker 1: That would be the simplest way to go. You know,
- 35:17Speaker 1: it stops shooting, let's stop threatening, let's you know, it
- 35:21Speaker 1: just doesn't. It doesn't make any sense for these cats
- 35:23Speaker 1: to work all in life to get to a level
- 35:26Speaker 1: and then instead of keeping it moving, they steady trying
- 35:30Speaker 1: to keep it real. That keeping it real gonna get
- 35:33Speaker 1: your ass in trouble every time because the people you
- 35:36Speaker 1: got to keep it real. Fault is people who are
- 35:39Speaker 1: not you. Yeah, you got to stay true to your pass,
- 35:44Speaker 1: and that is not how it works. You can learn
- 35:48Speaker 1: from your pass, hold your pass close to your heart,
- 35:52Speaker 1: but you got to steady progress in this life. You
- 35:54Speaker 1: can't stand. That's right, all right, we're gonna switch up
- 35:59Speaker 1: gears here. Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour,
- 36:01Speaker 1: Health is Wealth and Steve has a brand new product
- 36:04Speaker 1: out that can kickstart your healthier lifestyle. We'll talk about
- 36:08Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening to So Steve, you
- 36:14Speaker 1: did the Sherry Show Sherry Shepherd yesterday to introduce your
- 36:18Speaker 1: brand new product, Elevate You. So tell us about it.
- 36:21Speaker 1: How was that we haven't seen any well. I gotta
- 36:24Speaker 1: tell you you alls of VIP packagers will be coming
- 36:27Speaker 1: to you soon straight now, so you all can start
- 36:32Speaker 1: on the product yourself and then you've been able to
- 36:34Speaker 1: talk about it. I created a green drink comes in
- 36:39Speaker 1: three flavors, original, chocolate, tart, chinning. The difference that I
- 36:46Speaker 1: found and green drinks was first of all, taste. I
- 36:49Speaker 1: wanted to change that, and then I wanted it to
- 36:53Speaker 1: accomplish a few things. I wanted to give me energy.
- 36:57Speaker 1: I wanted to help with my digestive gut issues that
- 37:01Speaker 1: I was having, and I wanted to help help it

- 39:20Speaker 1: after Kanye Kanye West was allegedly missing, then he popped

- 39:28Speaker 1: coming by. Maybe she can come, you know, straighten things out.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Maybe she's the one that took Kanye back to church.
- 39:33Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening Steve

- 41:51Speaker 1: Kanye was at a church. Was wearing some jeans, a
- 41:53Speaker 1: green jacket and a baseball cap. So we're trying to
- 41:56Speaker 1: figure out what he had your church this past Sunday.
- 42:00Speaker 1: But I do know who she was at Earnestade's church.
- 42:03Speaker 1: She called me. She wasn't mad at him though, because

- 42:29Speaker 1: What is your name and he said Jesus I said no,
- 42:32Speaker 1: He said yeasy, ma'am. So she didn't like him, and
- 42:36Speaker 1: she didn't give him a seat either. Oh well, she
- 42:42Speaker 1: made a judgment called she said, let me see your hands.
- 42:45Speaker 1: He didn't have no holes in him, So you know

- 54:29Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter subject. He's not handsome, but he's blessed. Dear
- 54:34Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. I'm thirty four years old and I'm dating
- 54:38Speaker 1: a pastor that is forty two years old. We are
- 54:41Speaker 1: both divorced and we met online. I'm ready for children,
- 54:45Speaker 1: and although he already has two from his first marriage,
- 54:48Speaker 1: he said he'd have another child with me. He wants
- 54:51Speaker 1: us to have sex before we get married, but I
- 54:55Speaker 1: prefer to wait until the night of our wedding. I
- 54:58Speaker 1: love to tease him and sexy lingerie, and he always
- 55:02Speaker 1: jokes about ripping my nightgown off and taking whatever he wants.
- 55:06Speaker 1: I love this man, and we have a great time together.
- 55:09Speaker 1: But I don't like the way he looks. He has
- 55:12Speaker 1: a hard face and a permanent frown in his forehead.
- 55:17Speaker 1: He has short teeth, but they're pearly white. My aunt
- 55:20Speaker 1: and my mother warned me against having children with him,
- 55:23Speaker 1: because they said my baby will look like a gremlin.
- 55:26Speaker 1: This man is anointed and he has been a perfect gentleman.
- 55:30Speaker 1: He's a man of God for sure, and he's blessed
- 55:33Speaker 1: where it counts. Just because I am not partaking of
- 55:36Speaker 1: his blessings, I still know what he's working with and
- 55:40Speaker 1: I can't wait to make him and it all mine.
- 55:44Speaker 1: I've never been into looks, and I think less handsome
- 55:47Speaker 1: men are sexy because they are rough looking. This man
- 55:52Speaker 1: can walk around me in nothing but his underwear, and
- 55:55Speaker 1: I will be a happy woman for the rest of
- 55:57Speaker 1: my life. But my aunt and my mother said I
- 56:01Speaker 1: need to try it out before we get engaged, just
- 56:05Speaker 1: in case he is terrible in bed. How can he
- 56:08Speaker 1: be terrible when when he's working with all of that.
- 56:11Speaker 1: I need your advice on this one. Should I sample
- 56:13Speaker 1: the goods now or wait until marriage? Okay, just because
- 56:20Speaker 1: someone as blessed as you call it doesn't mean they
- 56:23Speaker 1: know you know what to do with what they have,
- 56:26Speaker 1: So you know that's that's kind of a funny question
- 56:31Speaker 1: that you're asking. I gotta say this though, Huh, I am.
- 56:35Speaker 1: I am. The first thing I learned at the gate
- 56:39Speaker 1: from the letters that pastors are on dating sites and
- 56:42Speaker 1: he's single. So I'm not judging or anything, just a
- 56:45Speaker 1: little surprised. Uh. And that's not what this letters about.
- 56:48Speaker 1: It's about should you give him a test drive before
- 56:50Speaker 1: you buy this car? So to speak? And you know
- 56:54Speaker 1: what most people do. Most people do have sex before
- 56:57Speaker 1: a marriage. Um. You know, it's admirable that you want
- 57:00Speaker 1: to wait until your wedding night and you got to
- 57:03Speaker 1: decide what's right for you. I find it odd that
- 57:05Speaker 1: you never mentioned how he treats you, Is he good
- 57:08Speaker 1: to you? All you're talking about is how he looks
- 57:11Speaker 1: and what he's blessed with. I think if you're holding
- 57:14Speaker 1: out on him because you truly don't want to have
- 57:16Speaker 1: sex before marriage until your wedding night, because you think
- 57:19Speaker 1: God is watching and you mention that this is a
- 57:22Speaker 1: man of God, then stick to your beliefs. Stick to
- 57:24Speaker 1: your beliefs, but you have to stop teasing the man
- 57:27Speaker 1: with your sexy lingerie and all of that, because it
- 57:31Speaker 1: doesn't sound like the pastor can hold out much longer. Now,
- 57:35Speaker 1: if you want to do it just because you know
- 57:37Speaker 1: your mom and your honor pressuring you, that's still not
- 57:40Speaker 1: a good reason to have sex with him. If you
- 57:42Speaker 1: don't want to, you want to wait. You know they
- 57:46Speaker 1: don't need to be in your bedroom business anyway. So again,
- 57:50Speaker 1: this is your decision. You know, this is your decision.
- 57:52Speaker 1: If you don't mind being with and having children by
- 57:55Speaker 1: an unattractive man, as you call him a hard face
- 57:58Speaker 1: and little baby teeth, well that's up to you. It's
- 58:02Speaker 1: your life. You say he's packing, and that seems to
- 58:05Speaker 1: be all that's important to you from this letter, then
- 58:07Speaker 1: go forward to stop listening to all these other people
- 58:10Speaker 1: who are into your business. You gotta do what's right
- 58:13Speaker 1: for you. Steve Well, I'm gonna just tell you this
- 58:16Speaker 1: right off the dribble. Probably need to go on and
- 58:18Speaker 1: listen to Sherley on this one, because what I'm about
- 58:21Speaker 1: to tell you ain't none but truth. All I'm fit
- 58:25Speaker 1: to tell you is nothing but truth. I'm gonna give
- 58:27Speaker 1: you some facts and then you have to make your
- 58:30Speaker 1: own decision because I can't tell you how to live
- 58:32Speaker 1: your life. Now you thirty four. He fought it too.
- 58:36Speaker 1: That's an eight year difference. Both of y'all are divorced,
- 58:39Speaker 1: and people are divorced for a reason. Y'all met online.
- 58:46Speaker 1: You ready for kids? He got two from his first marriage.
- 58:49Speaker 1: He said he'd have another child with me. You know
- 58:51Speaker 1: how many times he either had to say that, and
- 58:55Speaker 1: you know why, because he's not handsel ugler asked men
- 59:02Speaker 1: had to hair up and get in agreement with a woman.
- 59:06Speaker 1: We got to get on the same page because he ugly.
- 59:11Speaker 1: You ain't. You said he's not handsome, but we know
- 59:14Speaker 1: what that means. His ugly ass gots to hair up
- 59:17Speaker 1: and agree with everything. Women won't because his ugly ass
- 59:23Speaker 1: ain't got no whole lot of options. Now, like I
- 59:27Speaker 1: told you, you probably need to just go on with
- 59:28Speaker 1: Sherley's answer because I ain't gonna give you nothing but facts.
- 59:32Speaker 1: He wants to have us to have sex before we
- 59:35Speaker 1: getting married. That's got a lot to do with him
- 59:38Speaker 1: being ugler. He can't run the risk. And you're waiting
- 59:43Speaker 1: and starting to ask questions about him and looking at
- 59:46Speaker 1: him closer, sitting over there, starting to analyze stuff. You know,
- 59:50Speaker 1: you already got some stuff. I'll tell you about that
- 59:53Speaker 1: in a minute. Because you love to tease him in
- 59:55Speaker 1: sexual lingerie. He always joke about ripping my nightgown off
- 59:59Speaker 1: and taking whatever. Won't. I love his man, We have
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: great time together, but I don't like the way he looks.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Right there. He got a hard face and a permanent
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: frown in his forehead. But a man got a hard face?
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: What does that mean? That's the time to look like
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: a rock. You ever seen a pretty as rock? I've
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: never heard that before. You look like you just looked
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: like a rock. Got a hard ass face. You know
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: when even when he's smiled and looked like he climbs,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: he just got a hard ass face. He'd be telling
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: the joke and everybody be scared. Hold that thought. Part two.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Steve Harvey's response is coming up in twenty three minutes
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: after the hour, Today's Strawberry let her subject because he's
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: not handsome, but he's blessed. We'll get back into it
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today strawberry letter
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: the subject. Yeah, he's not handsome, but he's blessed. Yeah,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: well we'll get in that in a minute. But just
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: a man is forty two years old. Both of y'all
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: got divorced for a reason, for a reason. I'm ready
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: for children. Although he had two from his first man.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: He said he have another child with me. He can't
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: believe you on one with it. He know how he looked.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: He's so ugly. You wrote about it. You don't think
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: he heard this before. He had heard this his whole life.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: This ain't no new information. You just to rode in
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: on the national radio show. He's not handsome, but he
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: plased because he ugly. I love this man. We have
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: a great time together, but I don't like the way
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: he looked. He got a hard face and a permanent
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: frown in his forehead, just over that, looking like a rock.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: He'd be telling jokes. Ain't nobody laughing. Everybody had that
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: little grimace on their face like they kind of bad
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: up a little bit. Never met somebody so ugly when
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: they talk to you. Just keep leaning out the way.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: YEA next thing, you know, your ass said, even in
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: your chair, no more, because you're trying to deal with
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: all Listen in front of you. What is this hard ass,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: rock ass looking man got a moth and then you
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: said a bit to He got short teeth, but they
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: pearly white. Hell, it's easy to take care of little
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: lad teeth. Tell they shot, he probably threw brushing his
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: teeth in little time. You can have pearly white teeth.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: When they shot, I got all that curved corn in
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: his head. He got his whole mouth look like a
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: roll of corn. And you talk about they pearly white, Helen,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: don't take him no time. He ain't got nothing to brush.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: And I'm telling you what. You let me tell you what.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: This woman when she said they shot, she means yes,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: coming up about the guns. That's what you talk about.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: That type of short jess, coming up about the guns.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: So now he got parely white. And they shot. My
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: aunt and my mother wore me against having children here
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: because they said my baby gonna look like a grimmin.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: They're not lying to you. They're not lying. This baby
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: you fit to have. If if the baby don't look
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: just like you, man, you better hope you really. Now
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: let me ask you this, and you're gonna have to
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: be honest, because we don't know this are you extremely attracted,
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: because you're gonna have to offset with this baby's and
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: and and like. Chances are I'm just going out on limb.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna say you're not extremely attractive. I'm gonna just
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: go out on the limb. I think you're an attractive woman,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: but you may not be attractive enough to have an
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: uglass man and have a baby with an uglass man,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: because you gotta be damn near beautiful to off set
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: and get his baby a chance of being regular looking.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Sees us, this baby doesn't not gonna have a chance.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: He gonna grow up with the little lass teeth, that
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: hard ass look on his face, that God forbid it.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: Don't be a girl, Lord message Jesus, this man is
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: annoying it. And he's been a perfect gentleman. He's a
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: man of God for sure. He's blessed where and counsel.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: Just because I'm not partaking of his blessings, I still
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: know what he's working with and I can't wait to
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: make him and it all mine. Now you need to
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: think about something now, Why is him still available? Why
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: is him online looking for love? If he's a past
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: man of the cloth, see something You need to have
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: some more conversation with this man. I've never been into looks,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: and I think less handsome men are sexy because they rough.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Look well, Jack Potton, where you're sitting on top of
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: gold mine? If that's the case, because you can't look
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: no rougher than the rock. I'm telling you that right now. Women,
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: that hard face, that spout is rougher. You get this
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: man can walk around him nothing but he's underwear, and
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: I'd be a happy woman to rest of my life.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: But my aunt and mother said, I need to try what.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Let me ask you something. Who is your aunt and
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: your mamma? Who is these helpless? Do they have men?
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Why are you listening to them? And your mama and
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: the aunt saying, need to try it out before we
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: get engaged, just in case he's terrible in bad How
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: can he be terrible when he's working with all that
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: or I've been talking to women a whole lot of times.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: But I'm let me just put right here. I'm betting
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: on him me personally, I'm betting here. But yeah, see,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: he ugly, he's had to learn how to put form. Oh,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: he feen to do everything in his power because he ugly.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: He know he's not gonna get another shot, and he
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: knows the line ain't long because everybody ain't seen you
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: walking around in the draws. Most people just looking at
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: that hard and factibly lad teeth, and most people just
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: trying to figure out how I'm gonna get through Mari
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: and flavor flame. That's what a lot of women's face. Now.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: If you can sit there and madest man with this
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: clock ground his neck, then go ahead. I need your
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: advice on this one. Should I sample the goods now
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: or wait till marriage? Please help? I'm listen to me.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: If you wait ninety days and you can still talk
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: to him up close, if you can wait ninety days
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: and that hardness, that rock hard face, with that permanent frown,
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: it's still not repulsing you, then go ahead. I'm see
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: the way that ninety are already all right, Steve. Please

- 1:10:49Speaker 1: listening Steve Morning Show. All right, so Steve, listen up.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: This one's from Jr. From Raleigh, North Carolina. Jr. Right, Hi, Steve,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Tommy Junior. I'm forty nine years old and I cook
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: for a living. I do it big for Christmas, and
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: this year I smoked them multiple turkeys and two hams.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: I made gumbo jambalaya, barbecue, ribs, and chicken fried, chicken fried, catfish,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: and all the side dishes. My wife and I invited
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: the same eighteen family members like we do every year,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: but this year we did something a little different. We
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: charged five dollars per person to offset our food costs,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: especially since our rude family members invite other people over
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: to eat. I almost got to fighting with two of
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: my cousins over five dollars? Was it rude to charge
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: them five dollars? No? No, out a whoop they ass
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: they're talking about fighting on Its fine, I mean for real,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: but you're gonna come over here and eat, and I'm
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: charging five dollars per person out of cooked All this
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: food is all you can eat. Smokish bowl, yeah, you
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: know all it, ham, turkeys, all this here. I can't fish, barbecue,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: all the sides. You've got to all set the cars,
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: you do, you know? And then and then y'all brain
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: extra people with y'all because everybody know you can cook
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: five dollars a person. Ain't a bad thing to do. Man,
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: wasn't bad at all. Man. Everybody should have said, you
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: know what, you're spending a lot of money. You're doing
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: all the label five dollars ain't nothing. If you ain't
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: got five dollars, I'm pretty sure you have said. Well,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: if you ain't got it this year, man, tighten me up.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: But don't come here to tell me about I ain't paying. Well,
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: your ass ain't getting in. Oh lord. And on top
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: of that, they take food with them when they leave. Yeah,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: that's true. It's five dollars. I haven't heard of this before.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Well I haven't either, button, But I mean, I think
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: if you tell them before they get there, that's the question.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: I think that's better than when they got there. You're
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: charging at the door like it's a cover. Yeah, because
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: five dollars, man, I'm gonna need, you know, some poles
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: in the house and stuff. You know, I'm gonna cash.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: You have me for you walk in here, You're gonna cash.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: You have me jail then mob so multiple turkeys too.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: Ain't really mad at him, though, I think it's fair.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: I think it's really good if he did to be
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: told before they come. They listen, y'all. I'll spend a
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: lot of money every year just to help me offset
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: the costs. I just everybody would just chipping in five
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: dollars per person. It's all you can eat, y'all know,
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: y'all be taking plates and stuff. Everybody would have understood that.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: Do you think this is a trend because a lot
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: of people do the same thing and invite people over
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: and charge them. But you don't. Now if you invite
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: people over, or if your house is the designated house
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: for holiday cheer, then people got to start understanding it's
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: a cost. Come with that, cleaning costs, gotta come in here. Yeah,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: he says something you usually when someone invites you somewhere,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: you usually bring a gift, the bottle of wine and
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: ask them what they need. So yeah, well yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: a lot of families don't do that. Yeah, but they drinking,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: that's what they Yeah. I'd have been over my brother's
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: house a whole lot of times. Ain't bringing damn thing
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: but me, Yeah, it is, it is. And this this
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: was eighteen, so eighteen by eighteen times five is what Junior.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: I do it big for Christmas? He said, I smoked
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: a couple of turkeys, two hands, gumbo jumbla barbecue riz.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: That's a lot I don't know about. Yeah, right there,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: that didn't even cover the cost of food. Really, Yeah,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: uh huh, because you got shrimp in that gump, jump
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: in that gum and hell them two turkeys, the two
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: turkeys alone, them two turkeys into my hand. That's ninety yeah,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Ice right, who is expensive grows? Yeah? Well, yeah, we
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: charging this year. This year we charged spaces Charging Jr.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: From Raleigh, North Carolina had started something five dollars. Get
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: ready this year Christmas is fighting. Yeah all right, coming
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have more
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this. You're
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Morning Show. A woman at Tampa
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: International Airport tried to fly her pets Boa constrictor Snake
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: last month. Uh TSA agents discovered the Carla just fall out. Yeah.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: T SA agents discovered it was a four foot snake
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Carla in her carry on and they quickly rejected it.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: The woman to old TSA that the snake was her
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: emotional support pet named named Bartholomew. Okay, put, well, you
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: take you and Bartholomew and Golden hug his ass off
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: this plane. If your emotional support you also need a
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: fly part in the two because the snake ain't getting
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: on the damn plane. Thank you, you don't if you
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: need a snake to fly your ass, don't need to
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: fly that part. Thank you. The agency posted an X
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: ray image to its social media sites of the woman's
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: carry on bag that contained the massive snake and had
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: a pair of shoes in it and a laptop. TSA
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: officers posted a picture of the snake with the caption quote,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: our officers at Tampa International Airport didn't find this hysterical.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: Sterical Yeah, the Black TSA agents down. Hello, Well, I
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: wish I could have right, hill, I thought you could
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: the snake kill right there per minute and carry on.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: I wish I could have been in that line when
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: the Black TSA we would have had some shoes bell
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: up all right, coming up at thirty three minutes after
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: the hour. We'll play around it. Would you rather right
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: after this? You're listening hardy Morning show, it is time
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: for a round of would you rather here we go?
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Would you rather win the Mega millions lottery? Or would
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: you rather live twice as long that lottery? I'm gonna
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: live all I need to live when I get that lottery.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Feel like three times get that lottery. I'm gonna eat
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: this up. Partner, you cut my time short which sickle
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: fares if I win the lodder many twice a million
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: lottery or live twice as long you're sixty almost sixty six, Yeah,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: i'd be one hundred and twenty two. Yeah, but that lottery, though,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I can get you there with that A lot of
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: you ain't got to wait to get there. I can
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: get there. I'm gonna take it. I'm gonna take that lottery.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Just see what the Lord got for me. I don't
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: finished see you. When I see you, I don't know. Yeah,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: I just want one hundred and four. Anyway, if I
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: got this billion, just get me the one on four.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: I'm good. I'm going to show you what, dude, with
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: this billion, you can't believe that. I'm finn to show
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: you a show, A show I want to see. Would
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: you rather get screamed at by your wife get screamed at?
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: Or would you rather get the silent treatment from your wife?
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: I get both of them. I get both of them. Yeah,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: they usually follow one another. Get back true. Yeah, I
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: don't even know what that said. Either are if you
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: get if you get the solid treatment first, when she
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: come out of it, it's gonna be some screaming brother.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: How to scream first, especially if you don't address the silence. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: you know, you let it go. You the solid treatment,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: she solid, but the doors shut way hard. Silence is loud.
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: Oh you know what, I'd be doing that, like when
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: she gave me the sildary. I'll be asking just unimportant question,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: just going there with anything, just to try to keep
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: your communication open. Like, but you want some water and
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: you got to do that. I do that too. Yeah,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: you gotta do that water. No, I get it. Your
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: mama called. You don't even like my mama. Yeah, come ahead,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: I know, but I know, but I was asking about it.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: Just stop trying to show songs. Yeah, I know you
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: guys hate silent treatment, all right? Would you rather have
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: extremely small eyes or extremely big nose? Which one rather
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: have extremely small eyes or big I got a big
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: ass nose and has always made my eyes look small.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: I don't know what decision I need to make. I'm
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: telling you right now you can be very successful. Big
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: ass knows them little as I'm gonna tell you right now,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: you can make it round. Yeah. Yeah, you just got
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: to go on and admit it. We'll be back to
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: close out the show at forty nine minutes after, right
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: after this, you're listening here. We are, guys, our last
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: break of the day. And it's been a good day.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: It's been a good day. We're starting this new year
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: in the right direction. Yeah. Hey, you know what I
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: had to come to the realization I kind of want
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: to share this with people as I approached my sixty six.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: God willing I get there safely and in good health.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: But you know, I want to talk about there's a cost.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: There is a cost. You know, when you make the
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: decision to be successful, come to the cost. And as
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: much as I've tried to negate the cost, as much
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: as I've tried to alleviate the cost, as much as
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: I've oftentimes just tried to not talk up the cost,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: the cost is real. You know, I got in trouble,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: not really trouble, but I got a bunch of haters
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: that came online one time when they saw me give
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: a speech about if you want to be successful or
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: really really successful as something, you can't sleep eight hours.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: And I believe that, you know, somebody counted it with
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: Oprah says she gets eight hours sleep. Well. Oprah's wealthy, though,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: but if you go back on her journey and asked
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: her when she was hustling trying to make it, was
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: she getting an eight. I don't think the answer would
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: be yes. Everybody I know that's grinding, that's in the hustle,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: trying to really really have more than normal. If you
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: want above average, it comes at a cost. And I've
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: tried not to talk about it because I don't want to,
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: you know, knock anybody down about it. But man, it's
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: there's a cost for everything. And you know, I know
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: a lot of successful people who have health issues. I've
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: had my share of myself. Tommy can tell you about his,
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: Junior can tell you about his. All of us can
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: tell you about health issues. It's sometimes, you know, it
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: just it's a part of it. I don't know how
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: to explain it. Now. You don't want to sacrifice one
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: for the other, but sometimes it's unavoidable because there is
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: a cost, and a lot of times you end up
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: sometimes you have health issues because you just don't know
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: any better, you know, And that's why knowledge is so important,
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: because when you know better, you can do better, you
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: know it. Had I known a long long time ago
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: that everything I put into my body was going to
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: have an effect on me. I would have made some
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: changes a long long time ago. I just really started
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: understanding this in the last fifteen twenty years of my life.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: You know, the how important eating the right thing is,
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: how important it is to take supplements, how portant is
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: to take regular visits to your doctor. And as black men,
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: I'm talking especially to black men, we find it so
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: hard to go to these doctors. I got a partner
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: right now, man that's trying to get out to the
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: hospital right now because he ain't been to the doctor
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: in eight years. But he's seventy and he ain't been
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: to the doctor in eight years. We can't do that
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: because we've been grinding. And I understood something about grinding recently.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: When you're grinding, grinding means actually to wear down. But
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: in order to have something, you got to get into
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: wear down process, and the thing you end up wearing
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: down is your body. Now, I'm not saying you should
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: exchange your health for wealth. I wish that wasn't the cost,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: but oftentimes that's the cost factor, and people who don't
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: want it, you don't have to do it. But then
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: there's a cost with being poor too. See, there's a
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: cost factor when you decide not to be anything. It's
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: a cost factor when you decide I'm just gonna ride
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: it out, I'm just gonna mail it in. There's a
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: cost factor for that. I notice when old people who've
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: been working their whole life finally retire and they don't
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: and they had to stop being active. I watch them
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: wear down, dissipate, just wither away because that work, that
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: thing called the grind of getting up, going to going
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: to work everything. It gave them something to live for,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: It gave them something to do and made them active.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: It's just a cost, man. But you have to decide
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: which wanted the cost you want to pay. Do you
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: want to pay the cost of being successful, or do
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: you want to be the cost you want to pay
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: the cost of being poor. Now, when I say poor,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: I mean really poor. I don't mean like if you
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: make a hundred thousand dollars. Ain't talking about like that.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: You're doing great, man, your life is good. I think
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: people are that make one hundred thousand dollars doing fine
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: with your life. That's not what I'm saying, So please
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: don't misunderstand me. I'm talking about when you don't have
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: an enough to eat, you can't put a roof over
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: your family's head, you can't get them to the store.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: And then then you got to do more. Man, you
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: gotta do more. But it's a cost for it, one
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: way or the other. I suggest, though, if I look
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: back on it all, you have to find a way
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: to create a balance. But the balance ain't gonna be
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: even even, it's just gotta be. You got to grind,
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: you got to rest, You got to grind, you got
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: to rest, You got to grind, you got to rest.
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: If you just grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind,
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: then try to rest, the cost factor's gonna be greater.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: So find the balance for yourself. I can't tell anybody
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: what that is, but there is a cost to being successful.
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: But there is a cost to not being successful, and
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: you have to decide which wanted the cost you have
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: to pay. Now that's just real talk. You can say
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: it ain't so, but yes, it is not being able
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: to provide for your family. That's a cost being able
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: to provide for your family. There is a cost. You
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: have to decide which costs you willing to pay, and
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: then find a balance in there. That's what I had
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: to discover. So those are my closing remarks. That's it
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: for the day. Hey listen, y'all have a great day.
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: Talk to God today. He'd love to hear from you.
