- 0:01Speaker 1: Well, after waiting for weeks and weeks from Kamala Harris,
- 0:05Speaker 1: who has been in hiding, we now have some of
- 0:09Speaker 1: her agenda.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Where did she find it?
- 0:12Speaker 1: Apparently from the USSR and places like you know, Venezuela.
- 0:19Speaker 1: She is now announced a socialist price control idea fresh
- 0:26Speaker 1: out of the Soviet Union and Venezuela to sell the
- 0:30Speaker 1: American people on lowering the.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Prices of food.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Now, I'm going to play for you what Comrade Kamala
- 0:37Speaker 1: had to say, but let me say this first. Please
- 0:41Speaker 1: take our podcast and share this because we're going to
- 0:44Speaker 1: give you all of the history and the facts on
- 0:47Speaker 1: socialism and what they did in the USSR and what
- 0:52Speaker 1: happens to supply chains when it comes to food when
- 0:54Speaker 1: you do these type of government regulations.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Share it everywhere.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Now, let me just give you some of the headlines
- 1:03Speaker 1: that have been written by the liberal media after other
- 1:07Speaker 1: countries have done what Kamala Harris is proposing for the
- 1:12Speaker 1: United States of America. CNN Business had this headline when
- 1:16Speaker 1: it came to France.
- 1:18Speaker 2: France announces more food.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Price caps, takes aim at multi national firms.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Wall Street Journal.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Russia imposes anti hoarding price control measures on food. Another
- 1:33Speaker 1: headline from CNN, Think corporate greed is the leading cause
- 1:37Speaker 1: of inflation. Think Again then writes an article about what
- 1:42Speaker 1: happens with all of these issues with mandating prices on food.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Another one, Chavez threatens to jail price control violators with
- 1:54Speaker 1: Venezuelan food shortages, some blame price controls. Another headline Newsweek,
- 2:00Speaker 1: the high cost of price controls. Bahamas to introduce price
- 2:05Speaker 1: controls on dozens of key food staples as major shortages
- 2:09Speaker 1: hit the island.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Here's another one from CNN.
- 2:13Speaker 1: China imposes price controls to save off inflation. Reuters corporate
- 2:18Speaker 1: greed not to blame for price pressures. FED study shows
- 2:22Speaker 1: the Associated press. North Korea wants more control over farming
- 2:28Speaker 1: amid food shortage taking from their citizens. Now, those are
- 2:35Speaker 1: just some of the headlines that have been written after
- 2:38Speaker 1: different places. Do what Kamala Harris is now wanting to
- 2:41Speaker 1: do in America, it's never been successful by the road way.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Reuters had this headline, Cuban government imposes price controls as
- 2:49Speaker 1: it seeks to keep lid On out of control inflation.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Price control forced Venezuelans to turn to the black market
- 2:59Speaker 1: for milk and toilet paper. Here's another one, food fight
- 3:05Speaker 1: and the failure of price controls. Food prices cap will
- 3:09Speaker 1: not make a difference. Retailers say this coming from Europe
- 3:13Speaker 1: with the BBC. China imposes price controls as citizens look
- 3:19Speaker 1: desperately for food.
- 3:20Speaker 2: And here's another one.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Venezuela sets new price controls with eggs costing more than
- 3:25Speaker 1: a month's wages in Venezuela.
- 3:29Speaker 2: It's very clear that this is not working.
- 3:32Speaker 1: It's very clear that this has been a disaster everywhere
- 3:36Speaker 1: that it's been imposed.
- 3:38Speaker 2: So why did Kamwa Harris do it?
- 3:40Speaker 1: She did it because this is what she believes in
- 3:43Speaker 1: that the government should have total control over everything. There
- 3:47Speaker 1: was even an article that was written at CNN and
- 3:51Speaker 1: here is the headline. Should the government control the price
- 3:53Speaker 1: of food and gas? This is something that she's proposed.
- 3:57Speaker 1: What did they say about it at the time. Well,
- 4:00Speaker 1: take a listen to this.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Despite a cold December, inflation was red hot. Consumer prices
- 4:09Speaker 3: grew at the fastest annual pace since nineteen eighty two,
- 4:13Speaker 3: seven percent year over year and up point five percent
- 4:17Speaker 3: last month.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Who can budget? You just have to pay the price.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Americans on average paying about two hundred and fifty dollars
- 4:24Speaker 3: more for the same things they were buying a year ago.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Gas topping the charts, up nearly fifty percent from a
- 4:30Speaker 3: year ago. Same for furniture up just over seventeen percent,
- 4:35Speaker 3: and food up six point three percent.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Well, what I used to buy, let's say last year,
- 4:40Speaker 4: that would cost me around fifty dollars dollar week almost
- 4:43Speaker 4: doubles right now.
- 4:45Speaker 3: And at the pump price is soared to over four
- 4:48Speaker 3: dollars a gallon in some states, prompting President Biden to
- 4:52Speaker 3: release fifty million barrels of oil from the nation's Strategic
- 4:56Speaker 3: Petroleum Reserve in November. Last month, gas prices drun zero
- 5:00Speaker 3: point five percent. But for this lift driver, he's still
- 5:04Speaker 3: burning through gas to find customers and burning a hole
- 5:07Speaker 3: in his wallet.
- 5:09Speaker 5: On this mobeusiness, you have to drive too many miles
- 5:12Speaker 5: to make less money. You spend too much on gas.
- 5:15Speaker 5: The gas is like double. Now you know what I
- 5:18Speaker 5: used to buy is not double.
- 5:20Speaker 3: And the higher prices are even scaring some drivers away.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Tommy Hondros owns this gas station in Lower Manhattan and
- 5:28Speaker 3: says he used to have a line of cars one.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Hundred and fifty, not how many I have, no nothing,
- 5:35Speaker 5: one it's insane.
- 5:37Speaker 2: I used to have people come and fill up. Now
- 5:39Speaker 2: they're just let me get five dollars, let me get
- 5:41Speaker 2: I've seen two dollars on a vehicle.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Used car sales rose by thirty seven percent year over
- 5:48Speaker 3: year as there were less new cars coming to market.
- 5:52Speaker 6: Court shutdown credit shortages of all kinds of things, from
- 5:55Speaker 6: vehicles to lumber to clothing, and that causes prices to rise.
- 5:59Speaker 3: And that trick go down to the cost of food.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Groceries rose by six and a half percent.
- 6:05Speaker 4: It's a constant rejuggling a budget to try to keep
- 6:08Speaker 4: up with the food prices. Lately, meats especially are increasingly expensive.
- 6:13Speaker 2: But let me just stop there.
- 6:16Speaker 1: The reason why I played that is because I wanted
- 6:18Speaker 1: you to understand what the American people are saying. They're
- 6:20Speaker 1: saying this is insane, and this inflation was caused by Bidenomics.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Kamala Harris very much a part of that.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Now she's saying, let's just move to government control and
- 6:34Speaker 1: then apparently everything will get better. I mean, I don't
- 6:41Speaker 1: know what else to say, but you now have a
- 6:44Speaker 1: woman running for the presidency who is saying, I want
- 6:49Speaker 1: America to live like it is the USSR. She wants
- 6:54Speaker 1: to go back to the style of government where the
- 6:57Speaker 1: people are begging. Okay, where they're begging for food, they're
- 7:02Speaker 1: begging for water, they're begging for toilet paper. Now she's saying, look,
- 7:08Speaker 1: I'm going to cover the cost here. The problem is
- 7:10Speaker 1: everyone knows this isn't going to work. Everyone who's tried it,
- 7:16Speaker 1: it's been a failure because the immediately the black market happens,
- 7:20Speaker 1: then people start getting arrested. Then the people that are
- 7:24Speaker 1: being arrested for they say charging too much have to
- 7:28Speaker 1: shut down their companies because they can't afford to raise
- 7:32Speaker 1: their price because the government won't allow And then you
- 7:35Speaker 1: have shortages to the point where in Venezuela, a dozen
- 7:39Speaker 1: eggs is a month's salary.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Right, this is a massive problem.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Now here's the other thing that I think is also
- 7:47Speaker 1: very interesting. Even CNN is now saying that this is
- 7:53Speaker 1: something that won't work. CNN, after she proposed it, came
- 7:59Speaker 1: out and said they caused the problem. Now they're telling
- 8:02Speaker 1: they want to fix the problem with communism and socialism.
- 8:07Speaker 7: Listen, two things I think Number one, she had took
- 8:09Speaker 7: a lot of far left positions during her first run
- 8:11Speaker 7: in twenty nineteen twenty twenty, she has, you know, temporarily
- 8:15Speaker 7: kind of moderated these through some anonymous quotes from AIDS saying, well,
- 8:18Speaker 7: she doesn't really want to be in frackymore. She doesn't
- 8:20Speaker 7: want to do this, doesn't want do that. This new
- 8:22Speaker 7: program that she's me it is pretty far left. Twenty
- 8:24Speaker 7: five thousand dollars price controlled essentially, that's number one. But
- 8:28Speaker 7: the other thing is, you know, kind of conveniently forgot
- 8:31Speaker 7: she was vice president for the last four years when
- 8:33Speaker 7: a lot of the housing market crisis was at its worst,
- 8:35Speaker 7: when inflation was at its worst, So.
- 8:37Speaker 2: There's a lot of memory holding that.
- 8:40Speaker 8: But look, when it comes to the twenty five k,
- 8:41Speaker 8: I mean, you just added twenty five thousand dollars into
- 8:43Speaker 8: every price on every home price in the country, because
- 8:47Speaker 8: if you're giving that away essentially for free, people will
- 8:49Speaker 8: add it into the price.
- 8:51Speaker 1: By the way, what she's mentioning there, what he's mentioning
- 8:53Speaker 1: there is that she also said, oh, by the way,
- 8:55Speaker 1: I'm going to give you twenty five thousand dollars on
- 8:57Speaker 1: the price of your first home. What with what money?
- 9:00Speaker 1: Where is this coming from? That's what I want to know.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Where is this coming from? Where are you getting all
- 9:07Speaker 1: of this money? Well, she doesn't care where she gets
- 9:09Speaker 1: it from. If she bankrupts Americans and raises their taxes,
- 9:13Speaker 1: she controls your entire life. That is now where we are.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Just so you know, I think she really screwed up
- 9:22Speaker 1: on this one. When Kama's economic plan is total trash,
- 9:28Speaker 1: to the point where CNN didn't just destroy it with
- 9:30Speaker 1: a clip I played for your second ago. They then
- 9:32Speaker 1: had other experts on and they said this after her speech.
- 9:36Speaker 9: Listen, Catherine, I hear I read your piece, and I
- 9:40Speaker 9: heard you just mention it, the federal ban on price
- 9:43Speaker 9: gouging for groceries. You are skeptical of this, why.
- 9:48Speaker 10: Well, first of all, nobody can explain what price gouging means.
- 9:52Speaker 10: It's like that old line about pornography. I know it
- 9:56Speaker 10: when I see it, in the sense that what does
- 9:59Speaker 10: it mean to have in sessive price or an excessive
- 10:02Speaker 10: profit margin that seems to be shorthand for a price
- 10:05Speaker 10: or a profit margin that bugs me that seems too high.
- 10:10Speaker 10: So you know, it's very hard to pin down what
- 10:12Speaker 10: this would actually mean. If you look at the legislation that,
- 10:16Speaker 10: as I mentioned, is already in the Senate led by
- 10:20Speaker 10: Senator Senate Warren and Senator Bob Casey and a slew
- 10:24Speaker 10: of others. The particular way that this is written, which
- 10:28Speaker 10: is likely to be the template for any proposal that
- 10:31Speaker 10: Harris would eventually embrace, is especially bad in that it
- 10:37Speaker 10: just bans excessive prices, grossly excessive prices, grossly excessive profit margins,
- 10:43Speaker 10: and says that the Federal Trade Commission can use any
- 10:46Speaker 10: metric it deems appropriate to decide what that would would mean,
- 10:52Speaker 10: which basically says like, it's not going to be markets.
- 10:55Speaker 10: It's not going to be supply and demand that's determining
- 10:58Speaker 10: how much your grocery or charges you for milk or
- 11:02Speaker 10: for eggs. It's going to be some bureaucrat in DC,
- 11:05Speaker 10: which seems like totally unworkable.
- 11:07Speaker 11: First of all for.
- 11:09Speaker 10: The FTC to deciding, like how much Kroger charges for
- 11:13Speaker 10: eggs in Michigan, but it also would be very bad
- 11:17Speaker 10: for markets. We've seen this kind of thing tried in
- 11:20Speaker 10: lots of other countries before Venezuela, Argentina, the Soviet Union,
- 11:25Speaker 10: et cetera. It leads to shortages, it leads to black markets.
- 11:30Speaker 10: You know, plenty of uncertainty and beyond that, the specific
- 11:36Speaker 10: way this bill is written might actually increase prices because
- 11:40Speaker 10: of some of the other language in it, things like
- 11:43Speaker 10: requiring companies public companies to disclose in their quarterly reports,
- 11:48Speaker 10: their quarterly earnings reports, how they're setting prices, which is
- 11:52Speaker 10: a great way to help them collute, which normally we
- 11:55Speaker 10: don't want them to do so. Anyway, you know, the
- 11:57Speaker 10: devil's in the details. I guess for that bill, but
- 11:59Speaker 10: it's really hard for me to imagine any form of
- 12:02Speaker 10: legislation that preserves the spirit of what she's proposing that
- 12:07Speaker 10: would not be you know, at best, do nothing, at worse,
- 12:11Speaker 10: cause a lot of harm.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I love how this is on CNN.
- 12:15Speaker 1: We've seen this kind of thing tried in lots of
- 12:17Speaker 1: other countries before Venezuela, Argentina, the Soviet Union. It leads
- 12:22Speaker 1: to shortages and would cause a lot of harm the
- 12:26Speaker 1: black market.
- 12:26Speaker 2: She says, right like.
- 12:28Speaker 1: This is this is something that is not new. This
- 12:31Speaker 1: is not a new idea. Everywhere it's been tried. Everywhere
- 12:37Speaker 1: it's been tried, it has been a failure. Scott Jennings
- 12:41Speaker 1: on CNN as well after this announcement, and again I
- 12:44Speaker 1: play CNN because if CNN is telling you this is
- 12:47Speaker 1: this is the most extreme form of communism, then you
- 12:52Speaker 1: might want to wake up America and realize what she is.
- 12:55Speaker 2: She's a She's a damn communist.
- 12:58Speaker 12: Well, the first thing he needs to do, which he
- 13:00Speaker 12: already doing and will continue to do and will ring
- 13:02Speaker 12: true to voters, is continue to point out that all
- 13:05Speaker 12: the conditions in the country that Kamala Harris is complaining about,
- 13:09Speaker 12: with inflation, high rents, cost of living, that's all a
- 13:14Speaker 12: direct result of the policies that she and Joe Biden implemented.
- 13:18Speaker 12: So that's number one. You have to lay the blame
- 13:20Speaker 12: where the blame goes, and it's right at her feet.
- 13:22Speaker 12: You cannot allow her to pretend as though she is disconnected.
- 13:26Speaker 12: Number Two, he needs a clear message on her plan.
- 13:29Speaker 12: I mean, this is a p If you want product shortages,
- 13:32Speaker 12: if you want black markets, if you love breadlines, if
- 13:35Speaker 12: you love hoarding, and if you like, I don't know,
- 13:38Speaker 12: communist style anarchy on the streets of America, this is
- 13:41Speaker 12: the plan for you.
- 13:43Speaker 2: This is not a serious plan.
- 13:44Speaker 12: This is a set of pandering from someone who has
- 13:47Speaker 12: no idea what they're doing and doesn't want to take
- 13:50Speaker 12: responsibility of the problems they have caused. She wasn't merely
- 13:54Speaker 12: a bystander. She casts votes that cause the inflation. He
- 13:58Speaker 12: can't trust her to fix the inflationich that Donald Trump
- 14:01Speaker 12: runs on, and I think the American people already believe that,
- 14:04Speaker 12: so it ought to be pretty easy to sell.
- 14:06Speaker 2: The point he made there.
- 14:07Speaker 1: If you like shortages, you like breadlines, you like hoarding,
- 14:10Speaker 1: you like black markets, you like total economic anarchy, then
- 14:14Speaker 1: vote for Kamala Harris because that is what she is
- 14:18Speaker 1: giving you right now now in this speech that she gave.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I think it's very clear that she believes us. But
- 14:23Speaker 1: let me go back in time to when she was
- 14:26Speaker 1: just in California. Listen to what Kamala Harris said that
- 14:30Speaker 1: she loved about being an elected official. This is how
- 14:35Speaker 1: you know she's a damn communist for.
- 14:37Speaker 13: What can be done in the state of California and
- 14:39Speaker 13: by extension in the United States.
- 14:41Speaker 2: And here's what we did. It was fabulous.
- 14:43Speaker 13: And this is what I love about being elected because
- 14:45Speaker 13: basically you don't have to ask anybody permission.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Basically, this is what I'm going to give the exact
- 14:51Speaker 1: quote Kama Harris.
- 14:53Speaker 2: This is a communists.
- 14:54Speaker 1: This is what I love about being elected because basically
- 14:56Speaker 1: you don't have to ask anybody permission. Comrade Kamala, the dictator,
- 15:02Speaker 1: that is who she is. You talk about this, and
- 15:06Speaker 1: again I go back to what this is okay? And
- 15:12Speaker 1: this is another example of where you give this woman
- 15:17Speaker 1: a coronation, as the media's done. You give her a
- 15:20Speaker 1: billion dollars in kind donation and good press, and then
- 15:23Speaker 1: she comes out and she's like, hey, here's a communist idea.
- 15:26Speaker 1: And I was like, oh my gosh, what just happened?
- 15:28Speaker 1: CNBC even saying this, Listen, she hasn't.
- 15:32Speaker 11: Stuck to any very clear set of ideological policies. She's
- 15:36Speaker 11: wavered a bit throughout her years in politics. What was
- 15:39Speaker 11: interesting to me today and seeing this plan is that
- 15:42Speaker 11: it's clearly very progressive. Regardless of what she's saying to
- 15:44Speaker 11: donors behind closed doors, she is putting a progressive bent
- 15:47Speaker 11: to her campaign at this point, and that's not what
- 15:49Speaker 11: a lot of people expected or hoped to see. I've
- 15:52Speaker 11: been talking to moderate Democrats who said she could just
- 15:54Speaker 11: run a vibes campaign, she didn't have to get into
- 15:56Speaker 11: policy details at all. They think the best way for
- 15:59Speaker 11: her to win to do anything to just distance herself
- 16:01Speaker 11: from the far left, regardless of whether or not she
- 16:04Speaker 11: dives into policy details, and she would win. Clearly, she
- 16:06Speaker 11: didn't take that advice. She is diving into policy details
- 16:09Speaker 11: that go more left. She might be saying other things
- 16:11Speaker 11: behind closed doors to make sure corporations are still on
- 16:14Speaker 11: her side as well, but clearly she wants to sort
- 16:17Speaker 11: of have this brand of the progressive candidate.
- 16:20Speaker 2: The progressive candidate.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Why do you think she picked her VP Cannate Walls
- 16:24Speaker 1: Because he's even more radical than she is, or at
- 16:26Speaker 1: least at the same exact level. So let's go to
- 16:29Speaker 1: Kamala's words. Kamala says prices are still too high. Okay,
- 16:35Speaker 1: this is what she says, and listen carefully to what
- 16:38Speaker 1: she's admitting about when Donald Trump was president. It's almost
- 16:42Speaker 1: like an endorsement of Donald Trump.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Listen, shut down and failed.
- 16:47Speaker 13: But our supply chains have now improved and prices are
- 16:52Speaker 13: still too high. Yes, a loaf of bread cost fifty
- 16:57Speaker 13: percent more today than it did before the pan pandemic.
- 17:01Speaker 13: Ground beef is up almost fifty percent. Many of the
- 17:07Speaker 13: big food companies are seeing their highest profits in two decades,
- 17:13Speaker 13: and while many grocery chains pass along these savings, others
- 17:19Speaker 13: still aren't. Look, I know most businesses are creating jobs,
- 17:26Speaker 13: contributing to our economy and playing by the rules.
- 17:30Speaker 2: But some are not.
- 17:32Speaker 13: And that's just not right, and we need to take
- 17:36Speaker 13: action when that is the case. At as attorney general
- 17:49Speaker 13: in California, I went after companies that illegally increased prices,
- 17:55Speaker 13: including wholesalers that inflated the price of prescription medication, and
- 18:01Speaker 13: companies that conspired with competitors to keep prices of electronics high.
- 18:08Speaker 13: I won more than one billion dollars for consumers.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I mean, this is the most absurd thing I've ever heard.
- 18:18Speaker 1: She's sitting there and telling you, since she became an
- 18:21Speaker 1: elected official, the vice president, a loaf of bread costs
- 18:24Speaker 1: fifty percent more today than before the pandemic, meaning when
- 18:26Speaker 1: Trump is in office, ground beef is up almost fifty
- 18:29Speaker 1: percent since they came into office.
- 18:31Speaker 2: And then she says it's corporate greed.
- 18:33Speaker 1: So therefore, I'm going to be a communist and I'm
- 18:36Speaker 1: going to put mandates on companies, and I'm going to
- 18:40Speaker 1: tell these companies that I'm going to find them money. Okay,
- 18:43Speaker 1: I'm going to find them cash or shut them down
- 18:48Speaker 1: if they don't sell you bread or meat or whatever
- 18:51Speaker 1: it is at a price that I demand. Now, let's
- 18:55Speaker 1: be clear about what prices have done. Okay, since Kamala
- 19:00Speaker 1: Harris has become the vice president. Since Harris took office,
- 19:05Speaker 1: car insurance is up fifty four percent, Hotels are up
- 19:09Speaker 1: fifty one point two percent. Gas is up fifty point
- 19:14Speaker 1: fifty percent. Fuel as an oil is up forty nine
- 19:19Speaker 1: point one percent. Transportation is up thirty two point nine percent.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Electricity is up thirty one point seven percent. Baby food
- 19:32Speaker 1: it's an essential, up thirty point one percent. Eating out
- 19:36Speaker 1: up more than twenty three percent, Airfare is up twenty
- 19:39Speaker 1: two point six percent, rent is up twenty two percent,
- 19:43Speaker 1: and groceries are up over twenty one point six percent.
- 19:48Speaker 1: So the woman who's created the problem now says, elect
- 19:51Speaker 1: me as present to then fix the problem I created
- 19:54Speaker 1: by by allowing me to give you communism. And she
- 20:00Speaker 1: says it in her own speech, in her own damn speech.
- 20:04Speaker 1: She goes back in time and tell you and tells
- 20:06Speaker 1: you the prices of what things used to be before
- 20:09Speaker 1: she got in charge.
- 20:11Speaker 2: This is totally insane.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Because the economy is stronger, she says, she'll be able
- 20:17Speaker 1: to do this. No, that's not how this works. Listen
- 20:21Speaker 1: to what Larry Couglow had to say on Fox Business
- 20:23Speaker 1: about this after she announced it.
- 20:25Speaker 14: Kamala Harrison's economic plan released today in North Carolina, command
- 20:29Speaker 14: and control, socialist type central planning, the likes of which
- 20:33Speaker 14: we haven't seen since the nineteen thirties Depression, or for
- 20:37Speaker 14: those who remember the old Soviet Union communists, or for
- 20:41Speaker 14: those I'm lucky enough to visit today's Venezuela.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Really it's crazy stuff. No one's been taken seriously.
- 20:47Speaker 14: That kind of ultra far left planning has been out
- 20:50Speaker 14: of favor in the United States for nearly one hundred years.
- 20:54Speaker 14: Democratic autonomous are attacking it. The Washington Post is attacking it.
- 20:58Speaker 14: Early estimates of the cost of her plan are already
- 21:01Speaker 14: running upwards of one point three trillion, and it's going
- 21:05Speaker 14: to get larger. But of course that means more deficit spending,
- 21:09Speaker 14: and that means more inflation, and the unlikely event you
- 21:12Speaker 14: were to be elected, that's what we'd have to suffer through.
- 21:15Speaker 14: The big items so far, the thirty six hundred dollars
- 21:19Speaker 14: Kitty tax credit will cost about a trillion dollars over
- 21:22Speaker 14: ten years. The newborn child credit, and of one hundred billion,
- 21:26Speaker 14: a twenty five thousand dollars Home Morgan subsidy would be
- 21:29Speaker 14: about two hundred and fifty billion. And of course there's
- 21:32Speaker 14: going to be a lot more details, as a lot
- 21:35Speaker 14: more as the details come out. There's new tax credits
- 21:38Speaker 14: for Obamacare, there's another bump up in the earned income
- 21:41Speaker 14: tax credit, some kind of debt cancelation for healthcare costs,
- 21:45Speaker 14: and of course let's not forget the unconstitutional student loan cancelations.
- 21:50Speaker 14: The details of all this stuff so far are unknown,
- 21:53Speaker 14: and the costs of those details are going to mount
- 21:56Speaker 14: higher and higher. You will see, of course, the headline grabber,
- 22:00Speaker 14: which is the first ever federal ban on price gouging
- 22:03Speaker 14: on food and groceries really just price controls dressed up
- 22:07Speaker 14: as price controls. In other words, to quote Churchill, a
- 22:11Speaker 14: sheep in sheep's clothing.
- 22:13Speaker 1: And President here's the other thing I have to ask, Okay,
- 22:17Speaker 1: Kamala declared that she is going to quote tackle inflation,
- 22:21Speaker 1: and she says it will be a Day one priority
- 22:23Speaker 1: for her. Does anyone in the media raise her hand
- 22:26Speaker 1: and go your Day one was three and a half
- 22:28Speaker 1: years ago.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Why haven't you done it already.
- 22:32Speaker 1: That's the question that Donald Trump is going to need
- 22:34Speaker 1: to ask over and over and over and over and
- 22:37Speaker 1: over again. You absolutely have to ask that question. And
- 22:43Speaker 1: if you don't, if you don't bring that up, then
- 22:47Speaker 1: you're a coward. If you are in the media, you
- 22:50Speaker 1: should ask that there should be accountability here.
- 22:54Speaker 2: The other thing is is Harris going to bring.
- 22:56Speaker 1: These policies up in the Democrat National Convention after there's
- 22:59Speaker 1: this type of backlash. If she doesn't, then isn't that
- 23:02Speaker 1: a policy flop?
- 23:05Speaker 2: Right?
- 23:05Speaker 1: I mean, isn't that It isn't that a policy flop?
- 23:09Speaker 2: If that happens.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I want you to listen to CNN's Jeff Zeleny after
- 23:14Speaker 1: her speech ended the initial reaction.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Jeff on the politics of this.
- 23:19Speaker 15: There were two things that really struck out to me
- 23:21Speaker 15: with this speech, and I think they were pretty obvious
- 23:25Speaker 15: and deliberate. On the issue of tariffs, which Donald Trump
- 23:28Speaker 15: has sort of made his namesake, going back to his
- 23:32Speaker 15: first run for the White House, Kamala Harris here describing
- 23:35Speaker 15: it as a Trump tax on imports, essentially saying that
- 23:38Speaker 15: Donald Trump wants to tax consumers. And the second thing
- 23:42Speaker 15: she's spent this contrasting herself with Donald Trump. And I
- 23:45Speaker 15: think that the most clear contrast was the fact that
- 23:49Speaker 15: yesterday Donald Trump is giving a press conference outside of
- 23:52Speaker 15: his private golf club, and then you have the vice
- 23:55Speaker 15: president here talking about how excited she was to see
- 23:58Speaker 15: her mom save up for ten years to buy a house,
- 24:02Speaker 15: and then how she worked at McDonald's to put herself
- 24:04Speaker 15: through college and wants people around her struggle to make
- 24:08Speaker 15: ends multiple jobs to do that. So it gives a
- 24:12Speaker 15: sense of legitimacy to this populist argument that she's trying
- 24:15Speaker 15: to make.
- 24:16Speaker 6: I mean, the contrasts in every respect could not have
- 24:19Speaker 6: been more clear. In terms of the Trump CAREFF, she
- 24:21Speaker 6: really broke it down. She said, it's a Trump a
- 24:24Speaker 6: tax on gas, a Trump tax on food. So what
- 24:26Speaker 6: this is doing by having her finally give a policy speech,
- 24:30Speaker 6: it's shining a broader light on his policies, and there
- 24:33Speaker 6: are gaps in both of them, no doubt about it.
- 24:35Speaker 6: One thing she did not say is how any of
- 24:38Speaker 6: this would be paid for. Of course, that is not
- 24:40Speaker 6: uncommon in a presidential campaign. This is an aspirational level.
- 24:43Speaker 6: He never says how he would pay for his plans either.
- 24:45Speaker 6: But what I did think and This is the point
- 24:47Speaker 6: of it, obviously, is to draw a contrast obviously.
- 24:52Speaker 2: With him, but on the middle.
- 24:54Speaker 6: Class and help explain herself. She still is not introduced
- 24:57Speaker 6: that well to the American people's in the public eye.
- 25:00Speaker 6: She's been vice president. But allowing her to sprinkle in
- 25:04Speaker 6: her biography I thought was so interesting, and we are
- 25:06Speaker 6: going to hear more of that at the convention next week.
- 25:08Speaker 6: The housing crisis, I hear it constantly as I travel
- 25:11Speaker 6: around the country talking to voters. You may ask, why
- 25:14Speaker 6: didn't the Biden administration do more on this? It's a
- 25:17Speaker 6: you know, a good thing to ask. They've done some,
- 25:21Speaker 6: but she's focusing on that with a specific of twenty
- 25:23Speaker 6: five thousand dollars that would be certainly not paid for.
- 25:27Speaker 6: But that is something that voters can get their minds around.
- 25:29Speaker 6: So I think drawing a sharp con.
- 25:31Speaker 2: I love this.
- 25:32Speaker 1: By the way, did you notice what he just said there?
- 25:34Speaker 1: Like he's giving her this like massive hug. Right, Well,
- 25:38Speaker 1: it's you know, people don't really know her. She's been
- 25:39Speaker 1: the vice president for three and a half years, she
- 25:41Speaker 1: ran president before that.
- 25:42Speaker 2: We know Kamala Harris.
- 25:43Speaker 1: And then he says one thing she did not say
- 25:45Speaker 1: is how any of this would be paid for and
- 25:47Speaker 1: then immediately.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Moves on too.
- 25:50Speaker 1: But really it's great to get to know Kamala Harris
- 25:52Speaker 1: like are you insane?
- 25:54Speaker 2: Like are you insane?
- 25:57Speaker 1: That's the response there is, like, well, I mean, you know,
- 26:00Speaker 1: we we we're getting to know her and getting to
- 26:02Speaker 1: know her is great. Let me also just play something
- 26:05Speaker 1: else for you. A Soviet immigrant went on X after
- 26:11Speaker 1: her speech. Uh, where Kama Harris is laying out her
- 26:15Speaker 1: price controls and what it would look like in reality
- 26:20Speaker 1: USA or USSR ban on food price increases?
- 26:24Speaker 2: Question market. He put this video up. This is a.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Soviet immigrant warning America what this looks like if she
- 26:31Speaker 1: does it.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Oh my good.
- 26:33Speaker 16: I heard about Vice President Kamal her Is proposing to
- 26:37Speaker 16: band price increases on food. I was surprised because I
- 26:41Speaker 16: said here in the United States, government usually doesn't tell
- 26:45Speaker 16: private businesses would to church for the products service because
- 26:49Speaker 16: copitalism free markets invisible. I am from the Soviet Union.
- 26:54Speaker 16: You've seen this movie before. I know I's singing too
- 26:57Speaker 16: about government controlling the econ. This blend is not yet
- 27:01Speaker 16: this blare this food blowing Soviet style blend.
- 27:04Speaker 2: That going in here with his five year to blends.
- 27:06Speaker 2: But it's will in.
- 27:06Speaker 16: This way, So what should the man can exploit food
- 27:09Speaker 16: shortages produce This will make lysts food because it's not
- 27:13Speaker 16: less profited, but consumers will buy more of it because
- 27:16Speaker 16: it's cheap. One, but food cool is if the price
- 27:18Speaker 16: is the same bliss.
- 27:19Speaker 2: You sell good dumb way that so?
- 27:20Speaker 16: But them wato which ones do you think they will sell?
- 27:23Speaker 2: By the way, did you hear what he just said?
- 27:25Speaker 1: And this is what happened in Russia and a lot
- 27:27Speaker 1: of people were getting sick and malnourished in the USSR.
- 27:31Speaker 2: He just made a point.
- 27:32Speaker 1: If it's if quality isn't a matter in the equation,
- 27:37Speaker 1: it's just a price, Like hey, a loaf of bread
- 27:40Speaker 1: has to be a dollar. Are they gonna give you
- 27:42Speaker 1: a quality loaf of bread or give you crap? Are
- 27:45Speaker 1: they gonna give you crap eggs? Or good eggs? Are
- 27:48Speaker 1: they gonna you can kiss? By the way, quality meats
- 27:51Speaker 1: could buy if you have these food prices that are
- 27:54Speaker 1: mandated by Harris. Comrade Harris, I mean you think you're
- 27:58Speaker 1: gonna get a prime steak? Yeah out, okay on the
- 28:00Speaker 1: black market?
- 28:01Speaker 2: You will.
- 28:02Speaker 1: They don't have prime or choice or select like you
- 28:06Speaker 1: get crap in these countries. There's no prime there's no
- 28:11Speaker 1: there's no Grade A or double A or triple A
- 28:14Speaker 1: eggs or or or or chicken or certainly steaks in
- 28:19Speaker 1: these countries because you have these mandates, so you do
- 28:23Speaker 1: it as cheap as possible.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Have you ever seen the videos?
- 28:26Speaker 1: And this is gonna make some of your stomachs churn,
- 28:28Speaker 1: So I'm just gonna go with it anyway. Have you
- 28:31Speaker 1: seen the videos of the telapia farms where they're literally
- 28:35Speaker 1: loading into the tanks where the tilapia are actual feces
- 28:41Speaker 1: from other animals and rotten food. They'll eat it, by
- 28:45Speaker 1: the way. That's why I don't eat telapia, by the way,
- 28:48Speaker 1: especially farm raised tilapia where they actually feed them feces
- 28:53Speaker 1: from other animals. You think they're not gonna do that
- 28:57Speaker 1: to give you the cheap price they need. That's a
- 29:00Speaker 1: mandate from from from comrade Kamala. She is proposing that
- 29:05Speaker 1: we go into full blown communism with a price control
- 29:09Speaker 1: system that takes away all of your quality food.
- 29:13Speaker 2: That maybe that's the thing that people need to understand.
- 29:16Speaker 1: If you if you think of soy lattes nice as
- 29:18Speaker 1: a liberal and you love Starbucks's menu, and you love
- 29:21Speaker 1: all the kumbay a bs. All that is gone, every
- 29:26Speaker 1: bit of it is gone. Say goodbye to it. Make
- 29:30Speaker 1: sure you share this podcast please with your family and
- 29:34Speaker 1: your friends. Share it on social media wherever you can,
- 29:38Speaker 1: and I'll see you back here tomorrow
