Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is Verdict with Center, Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is also going to be the Ben Ferguson podcast,
- 0:07Speaker 2: and many of you are going to hear this on
- 0:08Speaker 2: radio stations as well. This is moments after the presidential debate,
- 0:14Speaker 2: Center Cruz. I didn't think it could actually be this bad.
- 0:19Speaker 2: It was worse than even I think either of us
- 0:22Speaker 2: could have imagined. And now the Democratic Party is screaming
- 0:26Speaker 2: replaced the president.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Well, you and I are sitting here at is ten
- 0:29Speaker 3: seventeen pm Texas time, at is eleven seventeen pm East
- 0:33Speaker 3: Coast time, the night of the debate. The debate just ended,
- 0:36Speaker 3: and I have to say we have just witnessed what
- 0:39Speaker 3: I believe is the most consequential presidential debate in US history.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Sometimes debate change, debates change things. Sometimes they don't. I
- 0:46Speaker 3: believe to bite tonight's debate change things fundamentally. And I
- 0:51Speaker 3: believe the odds have now skyrocketed. I believe the odds
- 0:54Speaker 3: are north of eighty percent that the Democrat Party will
- 0:58Speaker 3: remove Joe Biden from the ticket and replace him. And
- 1:01Speaker 3: I believe they are likely to replace Joe Biden with
- 1:04Speaker 3: Michelle Obama because Biden did so disastrously badly tonight that
- 1:09Speaker 3: Democrats across the country are in utter freefall and complete panic.
- 1:14Speaker 3: We're going to break all that down tonight.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:16Speaker 2: And by the way, this was a prediction that you
- 1:19Speaker 2: made on this show back in September of twenty twenty
- 1:23Speaker 2: three that the Democratic king makers could bring in Michelle
- 1:27Speaker 2: Obama will break all that down. I want to tell
- 1:30Speaker 2: you real quick about our friends at the International Fellowship
- 1:33Speaker 2: of Christians and Jews, and as Israel's ground campaign against
- 1:36Speaker 2: the Hamas terrace is continuing, the IDF announced that it
- 1:39Speaker 2: expects to have complete control of the southern Gava city
- 1:43Speaker 2: of Rafa, a Hamas stronghold, within two weeks. Tensions continue
- 1:47Speaker 2: to rise in Israel's north as there are constant rocket
- 1:51Speaker 2: attacks from Hesblah that have been fired at Israel. Troops
- 1:55Speaker 2: have been injured. Sirens have been sounded in neighborhoods along
- 1:58Speaker 2: the eleven on Israel border as well. And that is
- 2:01Speaker 2: where your help comes in. You look at what is
- 2:04Speaker 2: happening right now, and they need your help.
- 2:07Speaker 1: In Israel.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Since the tear attack on October the seventh, anti Semitism
- 2:12Speaker 2: has been on the rise, not just in Israel, but
- 2:15Speaker 2: here at home, in the US and around the world.
- 2:17Speaker 2: And that is why I partnered with the International Fellowship
- 2:20Speaker 2: of Christians and Jews. And today I am coming to
- 2:23Speaker 2: you to ask that you stand with us and IFCJ.
- 2:28Speaker 2: This pledge is simple. We are asking Christians to stand
- 2:32Speaker 2: with their Jewish brothers and sisters, to never be silent,
- 2:35Speaker 2: to show the Jewish people they are not alone, that
- 2:39Speaker 2: they have God and Christians on their side. For the
- 2:42Speaker 2: month of June, We're asking Christians to sign the pledge,
- 2:45Speaker 2: which will be delivered to the President of Israel, to
- 2:47Speaker 2: show that Christians in America are not only standing in solidarity,
- 2:51Speaker 2: but they are speaking up as well. So let's take
- 2:54Speaker 2: a stand today with the International Fellowship of Christians and
- 2:57Speaker 2: Jews to let the Jewish people know that they air
- 3:00Speaker 2: not alone and we stand proudly behind them. To sign
- 3:03Speaker 2: the pledge, all you have to do is go to
- 3:05Speaker 2: support IFCJ dot org. That support IFCJ dot org to
- 3:11Speaker 2: take a stand today and stand with the people of Israel.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Support IFCJ dot org Centaer. I want to get to
- 3:20Speaker 2: some of the highlights, but even before we get to
- 3:23Speaker 2: the debate, I think the most shocking part is what
- 3:26Speaker 2: happened directly after the debate.
- 3:29Speaker 1: This was the.
- 3:30Speaker 2: First thing that America heard on CNN, the host of
- 3:34Speaker 2: the debate.
- 3:35Speaker 4: That's into the debate, and it continues right now. It
- 3:37Speaker 4: involves party strategists, it involves elected officials, it involves fundraisers,
- 3:42Speaker 4: and they're having conversations about the president's performance, which they
- 3:45Speaker 4: think was dismal, which they think will hurt other people
- 3:48Speaker 4: down the party in the ticket, and they're having conversations
- 3:51Speaker 4: about what they should do about it. Some of those
- 3:53Speaker 4: conversations include, should we go to the White House and
- 3:55Speaker 4: ask the president's step aside? Or other of the conversations
- 3:58Speaker 4: are about should prominent Democrats go public with that call
- 4:02Speaker 4: because they feel this debate was so terrible.
- 4:05Speaker 1: They do say in moments in the debate.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Later the president got better and got his footing, but
- 4:10Speaker 4: then at the end, even his closing statement was a
- 4:11Speaker 4: little halting the contrast between the two candidates.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Let me be clear, none of them and.
- 4:16Speaker 4: A lot of Republicans don't think Donald Trump had a
- 4:18Speaker 4: great night. Donald Trump broke the fact check machine more
- 4:20Speaker 4: than I can count tonight. That will be on the
- 4:22Speaker 4: record as we go forward. He refused to answer some
- 4:25Speaker 4: very specific and direct questions about his conduct about January sixth.
- 4:28Speaker 5: And what all.
- 4:29Speaker 1: So that will be dealt.
- 4:30Speaker 4: With out there. And sometimes there's a parallel universe between
- 4:33Speaker 4: the political elites and the American people. Be nice to
- 4:36Speaker 4: see what the voters say. But I can tell you
- 4:39Speaker 4: it started minutes in. It started with the first couple
- 4:41Speaker 4: of answers, and it has continued throughout the night from
- 4:43Speaker 4: oh my god, Oh my god, oh my god.
- 4:45Speaker 1: To what do we do about this?
- 4:47Speaker 4: And it involves very senior people in the Democratic Party,
- 4:49Speaker 4: including elected officials, saying we have a problem, and just we.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Have a problem.
- 4:54Speaker 2: They're moving actively right now to replace Joe Biden, saying
- 4:58Speaker 2: we've got time before the convention, which is exactly what
- 5:02Speaker 2: you predicted on this show nine months ago.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Well, let me say what you played just there. I
- 5:08Speaker 3: agree with half of it, and I disagree with half
- 5:09Speaker 3: of it. What I do agree with is that Joe
- 5:11Speaker 3: Biden did unbelievably badly, that the degree of dementia he
- 5:18Speaker 3: is facing right now, it is escalated to a point
- 5:22Speaker 3: that it is unrecognizable. And I think there are a
- 5:24Speaker 3: great many Democrats who are looking at this saying we
- 5:28Speaker 3: cannot nominate this man. He is not capable. He doesn't
- 5:31Speaker 3: know what's going on. In a second, we're going to
- 5:32Speaker 3: play a couple of clips that show that. But it
- 5:35Speaker 3: was I will say, as badly as I thought Joe
- 5:38Speaker 3: Biden was going to do, he did worse. It was stunning.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I've never seen a debate performance this bad. But the
- 5:44Speaker 3: part I disagree of what you just played is I
- 5:47Speaker 3: think Donald Trump had hands down his best debate performance
- 5:50Speaker 3: he has ever had in his life.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Look.
- 5:51Speaker 3: I've stood on that stage with Donald Trump about a
- 5:54Speaker 3: dozen times, and I've seen him and sometimes he said
- 5:57Speaker 3: good debates. Sometimes he's had less than good debates. Tonight
- 6:00Speaker 3: he did exactly what earlier this morning, you and I
- 6:04Speaker 3: did a special podcast preparing for this debate, and what
- 6:07Speaker 3: you and I talked about that Trump needed to do
- 6:10Speaker 3: is be calm, be measured, be under control, not interrupt
- 6:16Speaker 3: Joe Biden, let him hang himself, give him the airtime
- 6:20Speaker 3: to talk. And Trump did that spectacularly. He was restrained,
- 6:25Speaker 3: even as Biden was saying ridiculous things. He was restrained,
- 6:30Speaker 3: he was calmed, he was matter of fact. He prosecuted
- 6:33Speaker 3: the case and Biden couldn't handle it. Biden repeatedly, what
- 6:37Speaker 3: was screaming, You're a liar, you're lying, you could I
- 6:40Speaker 3: mean he was. There were moments. Look, it's clear we
- 6:44Speaker 3: talked before about the meds. They had him on meds.
- 6:47Speaker 3: They put him on different meds from the State of
- 6:49Speaker 3: the Union. He was not nearly as amped up as
- 6:51Speaker 3: he was at the State of the Union. But when
- 6:54Speaker 3: Trump poked him and he got angry, Biden couldn't respond
- 6:59Speaker 3: other than just screaming, liar, liar, liar. And he returned
- 7:03Speaker 3: to the State of the Union, old man on his
- 7:05Speaker 3: front porch, screaming, get off my front port. She had
- 7:07Speaker 3: moments like that, But that's not even the dominant takeaway.
- 7:11Speaker 3: The dominant takeaway is this is a man who doesn't
- 7:14Speaker 3: know what's going on here.
- 7:15Speaker 5: I want to play the.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Clip early in the debate where he just completely loses
- 7:21Speaker 3: his train of thought, and this is the answer at
- 7:24Speaker 3: which I think people all over the country said, uh, oh,
- 7:27Speaker 3: this guy's just not there.
- 7:29Speaker 5: Give a listen.
- 7:30Speaker 6: I sculd me with dealing with everything we have to
- 7:33Speaker 6: do with. Look, if we finally beat medicare.
- 7:42Speaker 2: We finally beat medicare, I mean Donald Trump's response was quote,
- 7:48Speaker 2: I don't I really don't know what he said at
- 7:51Speaker 2: the end of that sentence. I don't think he knows
- 7:54Speaker 2: what he said either.
- 7:55Speaker 3: And Biden gets lost and and Trump counters with what
- 7:59Speaker 3: he counters to. That is and by the way, the
- 8:01Speaker 3: question had nothing to do with medicare, Like the word
- 8:03Speaker 3: medicare comes completely out of left field. It's the only
- 8:06Speaker 3: thing he mentioned. He's just like, we finally beat medicare.
- 8:11Speaker 3: And then Trump cames and said, well, he said at
- 8:13Speaker 3: the end, he beat medicare. He beat it to death.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Give a listen to Trump's response. Play the next clip.
- 8:20Speaker 6: All those things we need to do, childcare, eldercare, making
- 8:23Speaker 6: sure that we continue to suppend strength in our healthcare system,
- 8:27Speaker 6: making sure that we're able to make every single solitary
- 8:30Speaker 6: person eligible for what I've been able to do with
- 8:34Speaker 6: the h with the COVID I exculd me with dealing
- 8:38Speaker 6: with every day we have to do with Look, if
- 8:46Speaker 6: we finally beat medicare.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Thank you, President Biden.
- 8:49Speaker 7: President Trump, Well, he's right, he did beat medicare, beat
- 8:52Speaker 7: it to death. And he's destroying medicare because all of
- 8:56Speaker 7: these people are coming in, they're putting them on Medicare,
- 8:59Speaker 7: They're putting them on.
- 9:00Speaker 2: I mean you hear that he just stopped, didn't know
- 9:03Speaker 2: what he was doing. And if you look at the
- 9:05Speaker 2: look on his face, Senator Joe Biden actually looked lost
- 9:09Speaker 2: and was looking around like what am I doing?
- 9:11Speaker 5: Where am I?
- 9:13Speaker 3: His brain was frozen, it short circuited throughout the time.
- 9:17Speaker 3: I'll tell you Joe Biden did badly when he wasn't talking.
- 9:21Speaker 3: When he wasn't talking, the look on his face was
- 9:23Speaker 3: a look of confusion. Listen, anyone who's ever dealt with
- 9:26Speaker 3: with an elderly parent, an elderly grandparent who's dealing with
- 9:31Speaker 3: the loss of their faculties knows that look. My grandmother Miabuela,
- 9:34Speaker 3: whom I love, she had Alzheimer's. I've seen, I've seen
- 9:39Speaker 3: what happens. It was clear he didn't know what was
- 9:41Speaker 3: going on. He was just confused. And even his most
- 9:47Speaker 3: passionate defenders, they can't defend them all, right, Maria Shriver.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I just saw this.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Kennel Kennedy, Yeah, I just saw this.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Democrat 're Democrat Royalty. Let me read you what she
- 10:03Speaker 3: just tweeted moments ago.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Quote.
- 10:06Speaker 3: I love Joe Biden. I know he's a good man.
- 10:08Speaker 3: I know his heart is good. I know he's dedicated
- 10:11Speaker 3: to our country and is surrounded by good people. Tonight
- 10:14Speaker 3: was heartbreaking in many ways. This is a big political moment.
- 10:19Speaker 3: There's panic in the Democratic Party. It's going to be
- 10:23Speaker 3: a long night. The Democrats have lost Maria Shriver. That's
- 10:27Speaker 3: a problem.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Well, and listen to Abby Phillips. Abby Phillips saying this
- 10:31Speaker 2: on CNN as well in the moments afterwards. This is
- 10:35Speaker 2: how she described how bad it was for Joe Biden.
- 10:39Speaker 8: And just to co sign what John is saying. I mean,
- 10:41Speaker 8: the panic that I am hearing from Democrats is not
- 10:44Speaker 8: like anything that I have heard in this campaign so far,
- 10:47Speaker 8: and a lot of it has to do with First
- 10:48Speaker 8: of all, there was a deep frustration about Trump's lies.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I mean, he lied a lot tonight.
- 10:53Speaker 8: But the problem for Biden was that Trump was able
- 10:56Speaker 8: to take sometimes incredible falsehoods and turn them into some
- 11:02Speaker 8: kind of argument, whereas Biden's answers were in a lot
- 11:05Speaker 8: of cases not coherent, deeply problematic. That he was not
- 11:09Speaker 8: able to take pretty straightforward answers and answer them to.
- 11:15Speaker 5: The that's CNN.
- 11:18Speaker 3: That is CNN who's saying the Democrats are panicking and
- 11:22Speaker 3: Biden's answers where in a lot of cases not go here,
- 11:24Speaker 3: all right, play Van Jones, Van Jones, this is the
- 11:27Speaker 3: hard left here, he's on CNN.
- 11:29Speaker 5: Listen. Here's what Van Jones had to say.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I was painful. I love Joe Biden. I worked for
- 11:36Speaker 1: Joe Biden. He didn't do well at all. He did
- 11:42Speaker 1: not do well at all.
- 11:44Speaker 2: It's like a funeral. It's like you're watching a funeral
- 11:47Speaker 2: in real time on CNN. And this is their instant reaction.
- 11:50Speaker 2: These are the first voices that America heard after the debate.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Drudge Report, for example, which used to be pretty conservative center,
- 11:57Speaker 2: now they really hate Donald Trump. Their headline right now
- 12:00Speaker 2: is Operation Replace Biden, dim scramble with one hundred and
- 12:04Speaker 2: thirty days to go debate catastrophe, Which brings me back
- 12:10Speaker 2: to let's go back to nine months ago. Nine months ago,
- 12:14Speaker 2: September the eighteenth, You and I had this conversation. And
- 12:18Speaker 2: by the way, there were a lot in the media,
- 12:20Speaker 2: and there were a lot of other people in Washington
- 12:22Speaker 2: that said you and I were crazy for having this conversation.
- 12:25Speaker 1: So let's play the clip.
- 12:26Speaker 3: So here's the scenario that I think is perhaps most
- 12:30Speaker 3: likely and most dangerous. In August of twenty twenty four,
- 12:37Speaker 3: the Democrat Kingmakers jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama, and.
- 12:46Speaker 5: I want you to pause and reflect on it.
- 12:47Speaker 2: So I'm pausing, and I'm reflecting, as we said, and
- 12:50Speaker 2: so is everybody else listening.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Right now, I view this as a very serious danger.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I'm smiling right now because it terrifies me. And I
- 12:58Speaker 1: also could totally see this happen.
- 13:00Speaker 3: So Michelle Obama, number one, you don't infuriate African American women,
- 13:05Speaker 3: which is a critical part of the constituency that Democrats
- 13:09Speaker 3: are relying on to win. But number two, you avoid
- 13:12Speaker 3: the problem if you pick from any of the four.
- 13:14Speaker 3: The other three are pissed because they're all, to some
- 13:18Speaker 3: extent peers, they're rivals, they're all jabbin knives at each other.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Michelle Obama, because she was first Lady, has the ability
- 13:26Speaker 3: to kind of parachute in above all four and say, hey,
- 13:30Speaker 3: we're not picking among any of you. You guys can
- 13:33Speaker 3: all fight it out. Next time. You're all going to
- 13:35Speaker 3: be on the same level. We're coming. This is the
- 13:38Speaker 3: Obamas saving the day. And I think in terms of
- 13:42Speaker 3: a solution, that unifies Democrats.
- 13:46Speaker 5: There ain't nothing like that.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I also think Michelle is not all that eager to
- 13:52Speaker 3: run for president. But to parachute in in August of
- 13:56Speaker 3: twenty four, a couple of months before the presidency and
- 13:59Speaker 3: suddenly wake up and to be president not a bad gig.
- 14:02Speaker 5: It's not a bad gig at all. Now would she
- 14:04Speaker 5: do it? I don't know.
- 14:07Speaker 3: I've met Michelle, but I don't know her personally in
- 14:10Speaker 3: any meaningful way.
- 14:11Speaker 5: I don't know if she would do it.
- 14:13Speaker 3: I do think Barack Obama is already running the Biden administration.
- 14:18Speaker 3: I think he is already the puppet master behind this
- 14:21Speaker 3: Biden white House. I don't think Joe Biden is the
- 14:23Speaker 3: decision maker. And so when I see the media turning
- 14:27Speaker 3: on Joe Biden right now, I think the odds of
- 14:31Speaker 3: Michelle Obama parachuting in in August of twenty twenty four
- 14:37Speaker 3: have risen dramatically, and that ought to scare the hell
- 14:40Speaker 3: out anyone who is unhappy about the direction this country
- 14:45Speaker 3: is going and doesn't want us to go even crazier
- 14:48Speaker 3: in an even worse direct.
- 14:50Speaker 2: September eighteenth, center of twenty twenty three, we had this
- 14:53Speaker 2: discussion and even right now on MSN dot com. The
- 14:58Speaker 2: headline is we beat Medicare Biden Freeze's mid answer before
- 15:04Speaker 2: being bailed out by moderator, and then they go on
- 15:07Speaker 2: to talk about that was a total disaster by the
- 15:10Speaker 2: sitting president and Democrats are running to replace Joe Biden,
- 15:14Speaker 2: so they're not even having the conversation behind closed doors.
- 15:17Speaker 2: They're having it out on national TV right now and
- 15:19Speaker 2: in the news.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Well, and Ben, what you've just played is I think
- 15:24Speaker 3: as good a promo for this podcast as you possibly
- 15:28Speaker 3: could have.
- 15:29Speaker 5: What we are facing right now.
- 15:31Speaker 3: We predicted on this podcast nine months ago, in September
- 15:34Speaker 3: of twenty twenty three. We were among the very first
- 15:36Speaker 3: voices to do that. At the time, it made a
- 15:38Speaker 3: bunch of headlines. And you're right, people thought we were
- 15:40Speaker 3: batcrap crazy. Let's be clear, they thought I was bat
- 15:43Speaker 3: crap crazy. I shouldn't say we had stick you into that.
- 15:47Speaker 3: You were there while I was making that prediction, and
- 15:49Speaker 3: they were like, Cruise has lost his mind. And by
- 15:52Speaker 3: the way, in terms of predictions, we also at the
- 15:55Speaker 3: outset of COVID laid out all of the evidence that
- 15:57Speaker 3: COVID originated in the Chinese lab in when CNN and ABC, CBS,
- 16:03Speaker 3: NBC were suppressing that news, when Facebook and Twitter were
- 16:06Speaker 3: suppressing that news. We were laying out the evidence then
- 16:09Speaker 3: and this morning, before the debate, our analysis of the debate,
- 16:13Speaker 3: I predicted, unequivocally, Donald Trump is going to kick Joe
- 16:17Speaker 3: Biden's ass. That was my prediction. That is exactly what happened.
- 16:21Speaker 3: It was the title of the show. And there were
- 16:23Speaker 3: not a lot of people predicting that, but I number one,
- 16:27Speaker 3: thought Biden would do terribly. But number two, if Trump
- 16:31Speaker 3: could remain controlled, and he did that, he did that
- 16:35Speaker 3: in an excellent way. I'm going to call President Trump
- 16:37Speaker 3: tomorrow and tell him it's the best debate he's ever done,
- 16:40Speaker 3: and I've been there for a lot of them. He
- 16:42Speaker 3: was measured, he was controlled, he was fact based, He
- 16:46Speaker 3: laid out the case. Even his response on medicare, Let's
- 16:49Speaker 3: take the one we just played. It would be easy
- 16:52Speaker 3: to be starky and say, okay, this guy is like
- 16:55Speaker 3: that answer is incoherent. What Trump did was even better.
- 16:59Speaker 3: There said I mean, look, he said he actually did
- 17:01Speaker 3: beat medicare, which was obviously a weird brain short circuit.
- 17:06Speaker 3: And he said the reason he beat Medicare is because
- 17:08Speaker 3: he's let millions and millions of legal immigrants into this country.
- 17:12Speaker 3: He's putting them all in Medicare, which is going to
- 17:13Speaker 3: bankrupt Medicare. And that was a major message that Trump
- 17:16Speaker 3: is hitting, is that the invasion on our southern border
- 17:18Speaker 3: is also bankrupting Medicare and social Security. I think that
- 17:21Speaker 3: was a smart decision to lean in on that. Joe
- 17:24Speaker 3: Biden had no answer. He had no response all night long.
- 17:28Speaker 3: As Trump laid out the case you caused the inflation,
- 17:32Speaker 3: Joe Biden had no response to that. As Trump laid
- 17:34Speaker 3: out the people who are being murdered all across this
- 17:37Speaker 3: country from criminals and insane asylums. When Trump would say, look,
- 17:41Speaker 3: Venezuela is emptying their jails and sending US murderers and
- 17:44Speaker 3: rapists and child molesters and lunatics, you saw Joe Biden
- 17:48Speaker 3: just looking confused. He had no response, He didn't dispute it.
- 17:52Speaker 3: He had nothing to say in response on foreign policy,
- 17:56Speaker 3: and we talked about this again in this morning's podcast
- 18:00Speaker 3: and just said, well, if Trump's president Putin will invade
- 18:03Speaker 3: all of Ukraine and all of Europe, and Trump is like,
- 18:05Speaker 3: what utter crap? When I was president Russia didn't invade
- 18:09Speaker 3: one square inch of territory anywhere on planet Earth. And
- 18:12Speaker 3: by the way, he did under Barack Obama, and he
- 18:14Speaker 3: did under Joe Biden. You're so weak that that's why
- 18:18Speaker 3: Putin invaded and it. Trump did an excellent job of
- 18:23Speaker 3: prosecuting the case, and Biden was utterly incapable of responding.
- 18:29Speaker 3: And I think you are seeing seeing Democrats freaking out now.
- 18:34Speaker 3: I believe there are two things. Well, let me say
- 18:37Speaker 3: a couple of things. Number one, let me tell you why.
- 18:39Speaker 3: I believe it'll be Michelle Obama because you're going to
- 18:41Speaker 3: see today and tomorrow all sorts of discussion. You're gonna
- 18:44Speaker 3: hear Gavin Newsome, You're gonna hear all sorts of other names.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Let me ask you this.
- 18:49Speaker 2: I think if they do it, what's the pitch Because
- 18:51Speaker 2: it's gonna start with Barack Obama, who was just leading
- 18:55Speaker 2: Joe Biden off stage, remember, and everybody saw it like
- 18:58Speaker 2: he was an elderly old man in opa home. And
- 19:00Speaker 2: I'm not saying that to be mean, I'm just being
- 19:02Speaker 2: honest about it. And clearly he witnessed how bad it was.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Then is he the guy that has to look at
- 19:08Speaker 2: Michelle and I going I'd do it, but I can.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I've already been president for eight years. It has to
- 19:12Speaker 2: be you, honey.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Well, let me break it to two pieces. Let me
- 19:16Speaker 3: tell you why it has to be Michelle. It has
- 19:19Speaker 3: to be Michelle because of Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris is
- 19:22Speaker 3: the VP. If you push Joe Biden aside, Kamala's next
- 19:26Speaker 3: in line. The people who say we want Gavin Newsom,
- 19:29Speaker 3: you know what if the Democrat Party pushes an African
- 19:32Speaker 3: American woman aside and replaces her with a white guy,
- 19:36Speaker 3: their party implodes. They cannot do it. They are being
- 19:40Speaker 3: counters and they are faced. It's actually what forced Joe
- 19:44Speaker 3: Biden to pick Kamala in the first place. He backed
- 19:46Speaker 3: himself into it. He doesn't like Kamala. And the problem
- 19:50Speaker 3: Democrats are having that now is they're looking at Joe Biden.
- 19:52Speaker 3: They're saying, oh my goodness, this guy cannot be our nominee.
- 19:56Speaker 3: And they look at Kamala and they recognize she's a
- 19:58Speaker 3: terrible nominee. And if she's the nominee, they know they'll lose.
- 20:03Speaker 3: And so their problem is the only person on planet
- 20:08Speaker 3: Earth who can push Kamala Harris aside is Michelle Obama
- 20:11Speaker 3: another African American woman who stands on a different footing
- 20:16Speaker 3: as a former first lady. Now, what are the impediments
- 20:20Speaker 3: that stop it? The impediments are twofold number one, Michelle
- 20:24Speaker 3: says no, number two. Joe Biden says no. On the
- 20:27Speaker 3: Michelle says no. I think you're going to have Barrock
- 20:30Speaker 3: coming to her. I think you're going to have a
- 20:32Speaker 3: lot of Democrat kingmakers coming to her. And the pitch
- 20:35Speaker 3: is going to be, Michelle, you need to save America. Michelle,
- 20:38Speaker 3: we need you, Michelle. If you do not step forward,
- 20:41Speaker 3: Donald Trump is going to be president. Michelle, you are
- 20:44Speaker 3: the only person on planet Earth that can save the
- 20:46Speaker 3: world from a Donald Trump presidency.
- 20:48Speaker 5: And listen.
- 20:49Speaker 3: People perceive Michelle Obama as somewhat nonpartisan because she was
- 20:54Speaker 3: a first late in first ladies kind of stay out
- 20:56Speaker 3: of politics. I think she is more radical than Barack.
- 21:00Speaker 3: I think she is an ideologue. I think she is
- 21:02Speaker 3: a leftist. You remember when when Barack Obama was running
- 21:05Speaker 3: and she talked about his getting elected was the first
- 21:08Speaker 3: time in her life she was proud of her country.
- 21:10Speaker 3: I think she embraces hardcore leftism, but a lot of
- 21:14Speaker 3: people don't know that. And so the pitch to her
- 21:18Speaker 3: is going to be save America. And then the pitch
- 21:20Speaker 3: to Joe Biden. She's got to say yes number one.
- 21:23Speaker 3: And then too, Joe Biden has got to agree to
- 21:25Speaker 3: step aside. And I think you're going to see in
- 21:28Speaker 3: the coming days. You know, you played my prediction from
- 21:30Speaker 3: September of twenty twenty three. The only thing I might
- 21:32Speaker 3: have gotten wrong is I said that this would happen
- 21:35Speaker 3: in August of twenty twenty four. It may be July
- 21:37Speaker 3: of twenty twenty four. I may have been a month
- 21:39Speaker 3: off in the timing. Because this debate I think changed
- 21:43Speaker 3: the fundamental terrain.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Let's also talk about there was two moments that I
- 21:49Speaker 2: think really speak to the demise of the cognitive colan
- 21:52Speaker 2: of Joe Biden. And it was subtle but significant, and
- 21:57Speaker 2: I want to get.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Your reaction to it.
- 21:59Speaker 2: There was one moment when he was asked about social
- 22:02Speaker 2: Security and he gave a very very short answer and
- 22:06Speaker 2: then the moderators looked at him like, what are you doing?
- 22:08Speaker 2: You still have I think they said eighty four seconds
- 22:11Speaker 2: left or something like that. There was another time he
- 22:13Speaker 2: was talking about African American voters, African American community, and
- 22:16Speaker 2: African American issues. And they're like, sir, you still have
- 22:19Speaker 2: like another minute and ex ember of seconds, sixty four
- 22:22Speaker 2: seconds left.
- 22:23Speaker 1: He couldn't even.
- 22:24Speaker 3: By the way, he spent eight days at Camp David
- 22:26Speaker 3: preparing and he could not fill the two minutes with
- 22:29Speaker 3: it a the.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Two minutes on two vitally important issues like social Security.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Any politician should be able to fill for two minutes.
- 22:36Speaker 2: In fact, you should be able to fill.
- 22:38Speaker 3: These were not subtle, These were not gotcha's, These were
- 22:40Speaker 3: obvious questions. He had nothing to say. He was scared.
- 22:46Speaker 3: He was a deer in the headlights.
- 22:49Speaker 2: So you said, deer in headlights. Let's go to the
- 22:53Speaker 2: next conversation that's being had right now. And I'm sure
- 22:56Speaker 2: it's being had at the White House, at the EOB,
- 22:59Speaker 2: at the Camp Paying headquarters. Who goes to the president
- 23:03Speaker 2: first and says step down? And then you're also dealing.
- 23:06Speaker 1: With every guy.
- 23:06Speaker 2: That's everybody very stubborn though like he can just can't
- 23:09Speaker 2: he just look at him say I'm not gonna do it.
- 23:13Speaker 3: He is absolutely stubborn. I think it is BARACKO Bob.
- 23:16Speaker 3: I think it is Nancy Pelosi. I think it is
- 23:18Speaker 3: Chuck Schumer. I think it is every leader in the
- 23:21Speaker 3: Democrat Party. It's not Kamala Harris Kamo is not allowed
- 23:23Speaker 3: in the room, but I think it is. And they
- 23:26Speaker 3: go to him and they're pitch to him. They say, Joe,
- 23:28Speaker 3: you were an historic president, you saved America from Donald Trump.
- 23:31Speaker 3: You wanted to be the next FDR. I think they will.
- 23:34Speaker 3: They will appeal to his vanity and say you are
- 23:36Speaker 3: the next to FDR. You are consequential right now. If
- 23:40Speaker 3: you stay in the race, you risk undoing your entire
- 23:43Speaker 3: legacy and giving that legacy going down in history as
- 23:47Speaker 3: the man who made Donald Trump president. If you stay
- 23:49Speaker 3: in this race, it will be your fault that Trump
- 23:52Speaker 3: is president. I think they'll appeal to his vanity and
- 23:55Speaker 3: and look that that is, I think to Joe bideny
- 23:58Speaker 3: really powerful pitch.
- 24:00Speaker 5: Look you look at the debate tonight. He said things.
- 24:02Speaker 3: At one point, he said, during Trump's presidency, we had
- 24:05Speaker 3: a thousand trillionaires. By the way, there are no trillionaires
- 24:08Speaker 3: on planet Earth. At another point, he said, during Donald Trump,
- 24:12Speaker 3: we had fifty percent unemployment.
- 24:14Speaker 5: No, that is wildly wrong.
- 24:17Speaker 3: At another point, he said he created Joe Biden created
- 24:20Speaker 3: hundreds of millions of jobs. Mind you, there three hundred
- 24:23Speaker 3: and thirty million Americans and apparently he's created hundreds of
- 24:25Speaker 3: millions of jobs, so more more jobs than there are
- 24:28Speaker 3: working Americans. Like it is, every answer was a problem.
- 24:33Speaker 3: At another point, he said, the Border Patrol endorsed me.
- 24:36Speaker 5: Let's be clear.
- 24:36Speaker 3: The Border Patrol Union immediately tweeted out to be clear,
- 24:40Speaker 3: we have never and will never endorse Biden at every stage.
- 24:43Speaker 3: And what's interesting, he was also trying to insult Trump. Yeah,
- 24:48Speaker 3: and Trump didn't take debate. Yeah, and he was smart.
- 24:52Speaker 3: It was really at Actually when Trump poked Biden, Biden
- 24:57Speaker 3: freaked out. He couldn't not debate. And so the contrast,
- 25:01Speaker 3: and I'll say something else. You mentioned African American votes.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Trump's numbers are surging in the black community, and I
- 25:08Speaker 3: think tonight he made a very hard pitch for black voters,
- 25:11Speaker 3: and his most significant pitch. He had a lot of
- 25:14Speaker 3: points about how bad Trump, how bad Biden has been
- 25:17Speaker 3: for the African American community, talked about inflation, how it's
- 25:20Speaker 3: hammering black families, but then he also tied it to
- 25:23Speaker 3: illegal immigration, and he said, look, the millions and millions
- 25:27Speaker 3: of ill immigrants that are coming into this country. They're
- 25:29Speaker 3: taking jobs from black Americans. That is a powerful argument.
- 25:34Speaker 3: That is an argument. And by the way, Biden had
- 25:37Speaker 3: no response to that. It was silent. It was on
- 25:40Speaker 3: the substance. Trump prosecuted the case and Biden crashed and burned.
- 25:47Speaker 3: And in fact, the Wall Street Journal just sent out
- 25:50Speaker 3: their key takeaway, their story that they wrote tonight, and
- 25:54Speaker 3: it's now ten forty seven pm, and their headline is
- 25:57Speaker 3: Biden crashed in first debate with Trump. That's not an editorial,
- 26:01Speaker 3: that's the news headline in the Wall Street Journal because
- 26:04Speaker 3: it is just objectively. If you watch the Hindenburg explode,
- 26:09Speaker 3: you don't say Zeppelin landed tonight.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Great point.
- 26:13Speaker 2: I want to talk to you about my friends at
- 26:15Speaker 2: Blackout Coffee. The world is up in flames. Bidenomics is
- 26:18Speaker 2: a complete until disaster. And the reality is there's a
- 26:23Speaker 2: lot of companies out there that are still going to
- 26:25Speaker 2: try to prop him up. There's a lot of woke
- 26:27Speaker 2: liberal coffee companies out there that are going to still
- 26:30Speaker 2: give incredible amounts of money to Joe Biden and other
- 26:34Speaker 2: Democrats running for office. That is the one reason why
- 26:37Speaker 2: I want you to know about Blackout Coffee because they
- 26:40Speaker 2: were created by a group of conservatives that said, hey,
- 26:43Speaker 2: we're one hundred percent committed to conservative values. We're not
- 26:45Speaker 2: going to give our money these woke companies, and we're
- 26:48Speaker 2: committed to conservative values. From the sourcing of our beings,
- 26:51Speaker 2: the roasting process, customer support, and shipping. Blackout Coffee they
- 26:56Speaker 2: truly embody American values. And then here's the other big thing.
- 27:02Speaker 2: You get a premium cup of coffee every single day.
- 27:04Speaker 2: I start my day at seven am on the radio.
- 27:06Speaker 2: I have to have a great cup of coffee, not
- 27:08Speaker 2: an average cup of coffee. I want an amazing cup
- 27:11Speaker 2: of coffee. And that is what I get from Blackout Coffee.
- 27:14Speaker 2: I get a premium cup of coffee every single morning.

- 27:32Speaker 2: Blackoutcoffee dot com. That's Blackoutcoffee dot com, slash verdict, Blackoutcoffee

- 27:48Speaker 2: of coffee every day. Blackoutcoffee dot com slash verdict promo
- 27:51Speaker 2: code vertict for twenty percent off your first order. Well,
- 27:54Speaker 2: let's also talk about those that have been lying. The
- 27:57Speaker 2: media center has been lying, congressmen have been lying, staff
- 28:03Speaker 2: members have been lying. They've been going on TV telling
- 28:06Speaker 2: you that Joe Biden can run circles around me. The
- 28:08Speaker 2: White House Press Secretary saying over and over again, saying
- 28:11Speaker 2: there's no cognitive decline here, saying that he's in perfect health.
- 28:15Speaker 2: This guy is is a beast. You know, he's jacked
- 28:18Speaker 2: up aviator Joe. Now they're all actually having to admit
- 28:22Speaker 2: they're wrong, but no one's gonna, i think, call them
- 28:24Speaker 2: accountable for that. They're just gonna run out there and say, clearly,
- 28:26Speaker 2: it's time for him to step aside, step aside, step aside,
- 28:29Speaker 2: which is also weird because if you're not cognitive, you
- 28:34Speaker 2: don't have the cognitibility to be president in the future, right,
- 28:39Speaker 2: and they're saying he can't be the president come January again,
- 28:43Speaker 2: then when does the twenty fifth and does that even
- 28:46Speaker 2: come up? Because you're admitting that he's basically incapacitated.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Now, yeah, listen, we have seen reporters and we've seen
- 28:55Speaker 3: Democrats lying about Joe's mental capacity for a long time,
- 28:59Speaker 3: and nobody fair and objective who watched tonight could conclude
- 29:04Speaker 3: anything other than this is a man who is seriously
- 29:06Speaker 3: mentally diminished. You know it's interesting Andrew Yang, who you remember,
- 29:09Speaker 3: ran for president against Joe in twenty twenty, he tweeted
- 29:12Speaker 3: out tonight, quote, look, I debated Joe seven times in
- 29:16Speaker 3: twenty twenty. He's a different guy in twenty twenty four,
- 29:20Speaker 3: hashtag swap Joe out that that's from one of the
- 29:26Speaker 3: alternative one of the other candidates who ran against twenty twenty,
- 29:30Speaker 3: from a prominent Democrat. Two of the top trends that
- 29:33Speaker 3: were trending tonight right after the debate were dementia and
- 29:37Speaker 3: Michelle Obama.
- 29:38Speaker 5: Now that's bad news.
- 29:40Speaker 3: I's if that's what's what is trending. And all right,
- 29:47Speaker 3: I want to wrap up tonight's pod with this. I'm
- 29:51Speaker 3: going to do something I have rarely, if ever done.
- 29:53Speaker 3: I may never have done this before. I'm going to
- 29:56Speaker 3: praise CNN this morning's debate. You and I both thought
- 30:01Speaker 3: Jake Tapper and Dana Bash would do a terrible job.
- 30:04Speaker 3: They both hate Donald Trump, they both have become hard partisans.
- 30:08Speaker 3: CNN did an excellent job tonight with this debate. Jake
- 30:11Speaker 3: Tapper and Dana Bash. That was the best debate moderation
- 30:16Speaker 3: they have ever done. They ask good questions, They asked
- 30:20Speaker 3: substantive questions. They didn't make the debate about them. One
- 30:24Speaker 3: of the interesting things no one is debating about the
- 30:26Speaker 3: moderators bad debate moderators. When Chris Wallace debated moderated, the
- 30:31Speaker 3: whole debate was about him because he wanted to be
- 30:33Speaker 3: right in the center of the show. When Candy Crowley
- 30:36Speaker 3: from CNN was the moderator between Obama and Mitt Romney,
- 30:41Speaker 3: she made it all about her. Jake and Dana they
- 30:44Speaker 3: asked good questions, They moved subjects along. They would press
- 30:48Speaker 3: the candidates, but not in a jerky way. They just say,
- 30:52Speaker 3: I asked you the following question, you have another sixty
- 30:54Speaker 3: seconds to answer. When they didn't get their questions answered,
- 30:56Speaker 3: that's a perfectly reasonable thing for a debate moderator to
- 31:00Speaker 3: to do. I've been in multiple debates that each of
- 31:02Speaker 3: them have moderated. I think they both were incredibly sensitive
- 31:07Speaker 3: to everyone laying out the facts that they have shown
- 31:10Speaker 3: wild bias, and tonight tonight they didn't and they did
- 31:14Speaker 3: an excellent job, and I think that was a service
- 31:16Speaker 3: to the country.
- 31:17Speaker 2: I have to ask you one other question, because everyone's
- 31:20Speaker 2: asking it in their head right now, what is the
- 31:22Speaker 2: hold on a second?
- 31:23Speaker 4: Ben?
- 31:23Speaker 3: You didn't respond to that, and since you're a former
- 31:26Speaker 3: employee of CNN, I'm not gonna let you bet. Ben,
- 31:29Speaker 3: you have sixty two seconds. The question is do you
- 31:32Speaker 3: think Jake and Danna did a good job.
- 31:34Speaker 2: I think they did a decent job. And here's why
- 31:36Speaker 2: I'm not gonna get them as much cred as you did.
- 31:38Speaker 2: You ready for this, all right, but I'm gonna make
- 31:41Speaker 2: you answer it. I'm not gonna let you wiggle away.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Fair point. Here's what I'll say.
- 31:45Speaker 2: I think they were in as much shock as we were, going,
- 31:48Speaker 2: Holy crap, I'm watching an incapacitated president of the United
- 31:51Speaker 2: States of America, and they were caught so off guard
- 31:54Speaker 2: they said, just stick to the script, Just stick the script,
- 31:56Speaker 2: Just stick the script, like it was a default mode.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Because because it was such a glaring disaster with Biden
- 32:03Speaker 2: that no one, no, none of the moderators were honestly
- 32:06Speaker 2: paying attention to Donald Trump.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Yes, but.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Jake and DNA were more measured than I've ever seen them.
- 32:13Speaker 3: They were deliberately controlled. They knew that half the country
- 32:18Speaker 3: viewed them as wild eyed partisans. Look, we played this
- 32:21Speaker 3: morning Jake analogizing Trump to Adolf Hitler. Yes, and I
- 32:28Speaker 3: still believe that to I think he believes it. But
- 32:32Speaker 3: tonight that didn't come out. And and so if we're
- 32:35Speaker 3: going to criticize him when when he's not doing a
- 32:38Speaker 3: good job, I will say.
- 32:39Speaker 5: I think they think that they did their job.
- 32:44Speaker 2: The biggest political train wreck in American history, and they
- 32:48Speaker 2: were in it and it was like, I don't know
- 32:50Speaker 2: what to do?
- 32:51Speaker 1: How do you triage this? And so they got rid
- 32:55Speaker 1: of some of that.
- 32:56Speaker 2: I think if Joe Biden would have showed up jacked
- 32:58Speaker 2: up like you did at the say of the Union,
- 33:01Speaker 2: I think it would have been a completely different debate
- 33:03Speaker 2: from the moderators standpoint. But I think they saw what
- 33:06Speaker 2: everybody else saw, which was we have a present that
- 33:08Speaker 2: is incapacitated and the whole world is watching it now.
- 33:11Speaker 1: And no one can stop it.
- 33:13Speaker 2: There was no one to step in and lead him
- 33:15Speaker 2: off the stage like Barack Obama did two weeks ago,
- 33:18Speaker 2: Which brings me back to that question that everyone's asking,
- 33:22Speaker 2: how quickly will we find out if the conversations with
- 33:26Speaker 2: Joe Biden are going to work to get him to
- 33:28Speaker 2: step aside?
- 33:29Speaker 1: Number one? Okay?
- 33:31Speaker 2: And number two, how quickly do Democrats have to fall
- 33:35Speaker 2: back in line and stick with this guy if he
- 33:39Speaker 2: doesn't decide to step down. And those are the two
- 33:41Speaker 2: most important questions. Maybe the entire night.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Three weeks, twenty one days, this happens or doesn't happen.
- 33:47Speaker 3: In three weeks, I think you're going to have massive
- 33:51Speaker 3: chaos following this debate. You're going to have massive panic.
- 33:54Speaker 3: People are going to go to Michelle Obama. People are
- 33:56Speaker 3: going to go to Joe Biden. I don't think given
- 34:02Speaker 3: the train wreck that happened tonight, I don't think they'll
- 34:06Speaker 3: wait until after the Democrat Convention. I think they feel
- 34:08Speaker 3: a panic right now. I think they're going to want
- 34:10Speaker 3: Michelle Obama to be the keynote speaker at the Democrat Convention,
- 34:14Speaker 3: not Joe Biden. So I think we have twenty one
- 34:16Speaker 3: days for this to play out and look over the
- 34:19Speaker 3: course of the last year, I've handicapped this. I initially
- 34:23Speaker 3: laid it out as a possibility, then shifted as the
- 34:25Speaker 3: Democrats and the media we're starting to get nervous about
- 34:28Speaker 3: Joe Biden. I shifted to about fifty percent. As we
- 34:31Speaker 3: sit here today, I put the odds at north of
- 34:33Speaker 3: eighty percent that Michelle Obama is the Democrat nominee on
- 34:37Speaker 3: the ballot in November of this year.
- 34:39Speaker 1: There it is.
- 34:40Speaker 2: This has been fun. It's shocking. It is crazy to
- 34:44Speaker 2: watch this debate in real time. Never watch anything like this.
